Ya know, when I heard Vincent was getting his FR finally, I certainly wasn't expecting his partner to be Prompto, and yet. It makes sense.

Them having a crush on you...
The outsiders (separate) x GN! reader
Warnings: nothing I don't think :))
Tumblr media
DARRY CURTIS
It's been a reaalllyy long time since he's felt this way for anyone
So a small part of him is excited when he realizes it
But the majority of him..?
Well.. that's a different story
He's very busy with work and the family
He just doesn't have any time for love or romance
You understand ://
So it's unlikely he will do much of anything on his own
He will probably even avoid you a bit in hopes of making himself feel better
That being said, if you realize what's going on, and decide to pursue the relationship, he may manage to fit you in his schedule :))
"Hey, Darry.. uhm, could we talk for a second..?" You asked, as you popped up from around the corner, completely catching him off guard. It had been almost two weeks since you two had a proper conversation, and you weren't gonna let it go on any longer.
SODAPOP CURTIS
Okay so this is gonna come as a surprise to no one, but..
Throughout his life he has consistently gotten girlfriends and boyfriends with no issue
Again, no one's surprised
I mean, look at him, he's beautiful
Anyways-
He immediately knows that he likes you
And he very quickly starts planning out how he can go about the situation
It won't take very long for him to make his move, however if you beat him to it, he would definitely be over the moon
There you are, looking as good as ever. He's already decided that he's gonna ask you out later, an- wait.. your walking over to him..?
PONYBOY CURTIS
Poor kid doesn't know wtf is going on at first
All he knows is that he suddenly enjoys your company more then before
It wasn't until you interlocked his fingers with yours one night that he finally became fully aware of his feelings
He is not nearly as subtle about these feelings as he thinks he is.
He's so obvious, you'd have to be pretty inattentive to not notice anything
Based on this, you will likely be making the first move
With a dramatic sigh you let your head fall against his shoulder. The two of you have been studying together for about two hours and your in desperate need of a break. "C'mon, you need to focus." He said, sounding more annoyed then he really was. You grabbed his hand, interlocking your fingers and looking up at him pleadingly. "Pleease.?"
DALLAS WINSTON
Ohh boy
Out of allll the guys in Tulsa, you caught his attention?
Lucky 🙄
I love him sm istg
In all seriousness, this is very new to him
He's not used to genuinely caring about someone
Besides Johnny, he's never really loved anything
He's gonna start off with his typical flirting
That won't change until he realizes his feelings
After that, he switches to being a total jerk to you
Mans does not know how to process his feelings
Just give him time tho, he'll figure it all out
Here you are, sitting on the porch of the Curtis house. It's late and everyone is inside the house, save for you and Dal. He's been real difficult lately, although tonight his attitude has noticably improved. As you watch him struggle to light his cancer stick you can't help but wonder, what did he want to ask you.?
JOHNNY CADE
My sweet, respectful boy
He falls head over heels immediately
Everybody realizes his feelings rather quickly too
Including himself
He's not stupid
He notices how his cheeks get all warm
His hands get all sweaty
His knees feel like they might give out
It's a new feeling for him
For once he has someone touching him without causing him pain
I'm gonna fight his parents- WOAH! Who said that!? 😅
If your the type of person who is really affectionate with your friends (me fr) then you might actually kill the poor kid
He asked Dally for advice only to completely ignore it
Turns out Dally sucks at giving good advice, who woulda known?
He was thankful for how dark it had gotten, otherwise you would be able to see just how red his face had gone. For some reason you had decided it would be a great idea to hold his hand out of nowhere. Why can't you see what your doing to him?
TWO-BIT MATHEWS
You guys prolly met in middle school
He pulled some dumb shii and put gum in your hair or something
After that he often teased you
Referring to you as his girlfriend/boyfriend
You better expect a lot of playful flirting with this one
He pretty much confesses his feelings on the daily tbh
Albeit in a way that makes you think it's a joke
Eventually you just kinda realize that hey, maybe he isn't joking
"See, I always knew we were perfect for each other, ever since that day in sixth grade." He teased, throwing his arm around your shoulder only for you to immediately push it off. "Get off of me, would you?"

say something pt 2.
summary: although playing for the same club, pedri and y/n cannot stand the thought of being around each other. enemies to lovers for all my slow burn girlies out there - i got u
a/n: not proofread and all in english + more installments coming soon!!
read part one here!
Tumblr media
We were sat just above the bench, watching over one of the men's games. We had to do this regularly, to show our club spirit or something. The men, however, barely ever came to our games. I swear they only came for our Champions League Final and were out of the stadium when the ninety minutes were up.
“You’d think that such an expensive team would be good.” Ingrid was not impressed with the team playing. Her face had disgust written all over it and was really not afraid to show it.
“Don’t be mean. Not everyone can be as good as us.” Salma bolstered a smile, rubbing my leg aggressively. Rolling my eyes, I kept my focus on the game in front of me. It was a tight game. Real Betis were really putting up a fight, and I couldn't help but ogle at Hector Bellerin. He was genuinely so beautiful.
"Enjoying the game Y/N?" Salma asked, making the girls around us laugh. "Yeah funny Sal."
By the time the game had ended it was a 2-1 win for Betis, a real shock to almost everyone. The boys were fuming.
We walked down to the field, players from both of teams were still there. Making my way through with the girls, I heard my name called out. "Y/N! Wait up!" I turned around, running over with a cheesy smile was Hector. Hector Bellerin.
We followed each other on Instagram, and occasionally left friendly comments, but we had never spoken before. "How you doing?" I could hear his awkward English accent. "I'm doing pretty well. Congrats on the win you guys deserved it." He smiled.
"Ah, thank you. None of us were really expecting it." We spoke for another few minutes until he was called over by his coach.
"I'll see you around, I hope that next time you watch me play, you're in a Betis jersey." Smirking, he ran back to his team while I followed the girls into the tunnel.
When I caught up with Salma she couldn't look at me. "Already cheating on class boy with a footballer." She sarcastically sighed. "I always knew you were destined to be a wag." I lightly shoved her until I felt a push on my back.
"Get the fuck out of the way." Pedri spat at me. "Talking to the fucking opposition. If you want to fuck him so badly do it after the game." He pushed the changeroom door open, following closely behind him was Gavi and Ferran who looked at me sympathetically.
"Come on don't listen to him. Let's get home." Salma's hand found my shoulder pulling me close into her. "I'm happy to sleep over at Mapi's if you want to bring a certain someone over." God I hope she never changes.
"Girl there's no way I'm inviting him over. Let him celebrate the win." I smiled at her and she looked confused. "I wasn't talking about Hector." She stuck her tongue at as we walked to the parking lot.
I couldn't stop thinking about what Pedri had said to me that night. It almost shocked me how I didn't slap him. And although I wanted to hate him for it, a part of me hoped he didn't mean it. A part of me wanted it to just be a spur-of-the-moment comment which he would regret.
"Y/N are you okay?" Alex lightly tapped me. "Huh? Oh yeah, I'm just um tired." I focused back at my teacher. School was kicking my ass, I received my assessment schedule and these last few weeks were my last moments of peace before I locked in.
Once class was over I hurried myself as usual to the door. I had to get to training asap and I couldn't afford to be late. Again.
"Need a ride?" Alex caught up to me. There was no way I would decline, I was gonna be late. "Yes please, I need to get to work." We hoped in his car and he drove me to the grounds.
"I really enjoyed hanging out with you the other day. If it's alright with you, I'd like to come to one of your games?" I laughed but quickly refrained myself. "Oh um yeah. I can try and hook you up with some tickets if you wanna bring people."
We drove through the back streets of Barcelona until we got to where I needed to be. "Do you need me to pick you up? I'm happy to hang around for a while." He pulled up kerbside. "Yeah you'd be waiting for a very long time. It's all good, Salma drives me home." He'd met Salma a few times after we'd hookup as he tried to escape my room.
"But seriously, thank you so much. You don't understand how much easier you just made my life." I leaned over and pecked him on the cheek before I left the car.
"The fuck is that?" I recognised the voice immediately, B-lining for the buildings' entrance. "Oh ok yeah very mature, just ignore me." I waved to reception as I walked down to the changerooms.
"Was that your boyfriend? Or just another guy you hook up with." I snapped at him "He's a classmate." I continued walking down the hall. "So, tell me, did you sleep with Hector." That was it.
I turned to face him and slapped him across the face. Hard. A red mark coloured his cheeks. Realising what I had down, I regretted it immediately. "Oh my god Pedri I'm so sorry." I placed my hand on his cheek. "Holy fuck I don't know what came over me." Firstly, he looked at me disappointed, then he smirked. "So I'll take it that you didn't sleep with him." I walked right past him.
"Is something up with you Y/N?" Lucy said in my ear while marking me during training. I looked at her puzzled. "You're a lot more, I don't know. You're very tense." I scoffed. No wonder I was tense, I was literally studying for my degree while playing professional football.
"Well a few of us are going to go out tonight if you wanted to join? Girls only type of thing." Actually, I liked that idea. I needed time to just chill. Preferably away from home.
"Yeah actually I'd like that. You'll send me the address?" She agreed and soon enough we were back to tackling each other.
Once training had finished, Ona and I walked to the gym. She was still recovering from an ankle injury and wanted someone to give her motivation during the workout. As we entered the gym, sets of eyes laid straight onto us.
The men's team.
I looked at her, displeased to be trapped in a room filled with sweaty men, however, she didn't seem to care too much. "I think I'm gonna get deodorant poisoning if I'm in here any longer." She dragged me over to a machine.
I took a walk around the gym, trying to find the spot with the best reception. "Fancy seeing you around." Pedri called out to me.
I didn't look at him. No bother in giving him the time of day. "Okay then." He turned back to his group, they were making fun of his failed attempt at grabbing my attention.
"Y/N can you come over here for a sec?" Gavi called out to me. I was less than willing to walk over to a slightly intimidating group of boys, but I didn't want to give Pablo the same response that I gave Pedri.
Walking over, I could feel the eyes of the boys on me. "How you been baby?" I smiled at him. He's always been affectionate towards me, but this was artificial in a way. He was trying to make someone jealous. "You going out tonight?" I nodded. "Clubbing downtown." He looked impressed. "Going with Salma? I can try and ask around for that girl to be there."
"I'm so happy that you're finally going out with me. It's been what, four months?" Salma put on one of her sexiest outfits. I told her that the girl from before would be there, to that she immediately went looking for the hottest thing she owned.
"Yeah well you're obviously not planning on hanging out with me." Since she had gone out the other night, she couldn't stop talking about this girl she met.
We got picked up in a cab and made our way downtown. Upon entering the club we realised it wasn't exactly how we had pictured it. It wasn't so much a 'casual' club as it was a 'celebrity' club.
I recognised majority of the people as other footballers and internally rolled my eyes at the idea of spending time with some stuck up male footballer. Like Pedri for example.
When we found Lucy and a few of the other girls, we took a seat at the bar and ordered a round of shots. It had been a while since I had drunk alcohol, but I promised myself that I wouldn't drink too much. And I was usually good at keeping to my word, so I limited myself to three drinks.
"Y/N, Salma's been telling me about this guy you've been seeing." Ona said, taking a shot in full. "I hope he's hot at least." I looked at Salma unimpressed, she loved telling people about my life, to the point where even the physios knew who Alex was. "He's just a classmate, I mean like we've hooked up a few times but I'm not really into him."
The girls and I chatted for at least twenty minuets before suggesting we move to the dance floor. The DJ was playing mostly Bad Bunny with a few western songs, and soon enough the alcohol hit me, and I was in my groove. I was dancing with so many different people, and I could've sworn I had accidentally grinded up on Jude Bellingham before Ingrid came over to me, telling that someone was looking for me.
I followed in the direction of where she had pointed and found myself on the outside of the floor, but next to a tall man. "Hola Y/N." Hector bent down to give me a kiss on the cheek. "Hola."
"I really think we should hang out some day." I blushed at his words. "I'd like that. Maybe you could come to one of my games? Hang up your pride and wear the jersey of your old club." I nudged him playfully as he sarcastically shook his head. "Let's dance." He pulled me by the hand into the centre of the floor.
He held my hips as we swayed together, feeling the music and each other. "I though you'd be a better dancer Y/N." I looked up at him confused. "I'm only joking Carino. You look beautiful." I dug my head into his chest as we danced.
Now did I want to hook up with him? No, not really. But you can't hate a girl for giving into some attention. "Hector." He looked at me, almost freezing. "Does Pedri hate me?" He laughed. A guttural laugh.
"I'm not sure. Why?" I sighed. "He's just been a real dickhead lately. Always up in my personal businesses and constantly trying to piss me off." Hector smiled at me. "Yeah I don't think he hates you." He continued, "If it makes you feel any better, I think he actually likes you. I mean at least when I was at Barca he wouldn't shut up about this new prodigy." Ok now I was intrigued. "Go on."
"Well I mean he would always hang around at training to watch you play. To me at least I found it a little creepy, but I think it all stemmed from a crush." Yeah what the fuck.
"There's no way. Like he actually despises me." Hector shrugged as we came to a full stop of dancing. "Well maybe something's changed, but trust me, he likes you. Or used to I don't know."
I literally did not know what to think. So Pedri has been a fan all along??? Interesting…
After leaving Hector for the bathroom I felt a presence behind me as I walked down the corridor. Turning around nonchalantly, I came face to face with Pedri. Of fucking course he’d be here.
"Having fun?" He was holding a glass of what looked like water. Of course he didn't drink. "Yeah it's chill." I went to turn around when he grabbed my shoulder. "Sorry if I've been a dick, I've just, I don't know. Sorry." He was smiling at me. Smiling.
"Oh, um yeah okay you're all good." Before I could make my way back to the bathroom, his hands clasped my face, pulling me in for a kiss.
My brain wanted to push him away, but my body wanted more of him. I kissed him back passionately before he pulled away, hands still on my cheek. "Holy shit, I'm so sorry." He looked at me for no more than a second before walking back out.
He just kissed me. I kissed him. Pedri. Fucking Pedri.
"Y/N you're on, get up." Jonatan called for me, I was cozy on the bench watching my team struggle against Wolfsburg in a tight Champions League group stage match.
I hopped out of my seat and walked over to him. "I need you to turn this around. It's looking sloppy out there." He pointed to the field, everyone was tired, and Wolfsburg would break the deadlock soon enough if no stepped up. "I need a goal. I need you to be the captain out there, ok?" I nodded.
It was going to be tough. A thousand things were running through my head. Pedri was one of them, and I knew he was in the crowd. Alex too. God why do I do this to myself.
As I walked over to the fourth official, I could hear the crowd begin to get louder. I knew I was popular amongst the Barca fans, but hearing how excited they were to see me come on, gave me a new type of confidence.
I ran onto the pitch after I was subbed on, and genuinely put my heart into it. I had a few shots, although none were good enough to get past the keeper.
I built up with Keira, and finally had a chance to bury the game. I struck the ball with my laces from a few meters outside the box. I watched it curl into the top right of the goal and the crowd erupted.
I ran to the corner post where I did a knee slide, and was followed closely behind my teammates. Everyone was cheering.
The whistle blew after an agonizingly long fifteen minutes and the stadium erupted once more. We had slid past into a comfortable 1-0 win and I was absolutely buzzing. Jonatan pulled me in for a hug, and soon enough I was being thrown in the air by my teammates.
We did a lap of the field, taking photos and thanking the fans for supporting us. I had given my jersey to a young fan, in exchange for a bag of Haribos which were delicious.
When we had reached the bench and tunnel, I made direct eye contact with Pedri. It wasn't short either. He was still in the stands, in a full Barca tracksuit, looking down at me. And then he smiled.
I smiled back at him before I almost got practically tackled. Alex lifted me off the ground, and spun my around. "You did so well." He placed me back on the ground and leaned in for a kiss, I pulled back. "Oh, thanks Alex." I looked back into the crowd to where Pedri was standing, but I couldn't see him anymore.
"Please let me take you out tonight. I have us booked in for a beautiful Italian restaurant." I physically cringed. I don't know why I have such conflicting feeling towards Alex.
"Sorry Alex, but I've got recovery and stuff. I'd love to go another day." Lieeeeee. He looked down to the ground. "Yeah uh you're all good. Well done today." He smiled cowardly and grazed my arm before walking away.
"Rejected lover boy once again?" Salma came up to me, linking her arm through mine. I hadn't yet told her about Pedri. At first I didn't even see why I should, but I really needed to tell somebody.
"I feel like I'm leading him on, but I seriously do not wanna be his girlfriend or whatever he thinks we are." We walked into the tunnel and I was pulled into an interview.
"Y/N, that was a spectacular performance. However, many fans are confused as to why you weren't in the starting line up. Can you give us some insight into that?"
"Yeah well I wasn't training to me best standards in all honesty." The journalist nodded, signalling for me to continue. "Here at Barca everyone's replaceable. If you're not performing, someone else takes your place. It's the nature of this club. It's one of the reasons why I love it so much."
"How'd it feel to get a goal? It was a real tight game there, and you seemed to loosen it all up.
"I never take scoring for granted. It's a feeling I chase. As much as I love dribbling or assisting, or even tackling, nothing brings me as much joy as scoring does."
The interview continued for another couple of minutes before I made my way to a presumably empty changeroom.
Walking in, it was exactly what I guessed. I had a shower and changed into comfy clothes. Salma was driving us home, so she was probably waiting for me somewhere. I opened the door to leave the changeroom when I was met with a group. The group being Gavi, Pedri, and Salma.
Immediately, I made eye contact with Pedri who looked away. "Come on sissy, let's get home." We began walking in twos, Salma and I, Pedri and Gavi.
"You two were on fire today. There's surely a Ballon D'or coming your way Y/N." Gavi patted my back from behind, to which I turned around and smiled. "Thanks Pablo." Salma directed most of the conversation, Pedri barely spoke. Something was up with him.
"Pepi and I were so pissed when we couldn't see you on the starting lineup." Gavi said, making Pedri blush. "He started freaking out, thought you were injured and everything." I smiled to myself. It was cute I couldn't even lie.
"That's not true." His cheeks turned a darker shade of pink. He was embarrassed and it was adorable.
"Salma I need to tell you something." She jumped over the couch and sat next to me. "Spill." She then handed me a bowl of chocolate covered strawberries.
"Ok. So I may have kissed Pedri. No he kissed me. But I kissed him back." Her jaw dropped, and jumped straight up, dancing around me. "I called it! I fucking knew it!" I rolled my eyes.
"Yeah well you can calm it down because I think he hates me again." She sat down immediately. "Well you know how Alex came down?" She nodded. "Well I guess Pedri must've seen because he's been giving me the cold shoulder. He didn't even speak to me while we were all walking."
"So do you want me to set you two up?" I smacked her. "Don't you fucking dare."
omg guys sorry this took so long. lmk if you wanna be tagged in the next part and send me reqs!!

Anonymous Asks: "The SDJ boys being vulnerable and what can MC do to make them feel better. Or simply, what they're like when they're vulnerable? What can make them feel better? I'm new to the fandom and this is my first ask related to it too x)"
Tumblr media
Jack:
Vulnerability isn't easy for him. He'll fake it plenty, spoon-feed you things that make it seem like he's being vulnerable with you. But he keeps his actual insecurities close to his chest. So when he is genuinely vulnerable... well, he's mostly just quiet. He'll answer your questions, but you have to gently pry it out of him. Take it slow and give him time to answer you, but please don't let him brush it off.
Ian:
He wears his heart on his sleeve. He doesn't know how to not be vulnerable. The real problem is that he tends to blame everything on himself. So while he'll accept your comfort when he inevitably gets overwhelmed and cry, it takes more effort to get him to accept that no everything is his fault. You'll have to reassure him a lot, make him look at you and repeat after you that he's worth loving.
Shaun:
He's not too bad at vulnerability. He has a nasty habit of trying to laugh things off and pretend he's not feeling bad, but if you just tell him to knock it off, he'll open up to you. He's pretty... practical about it. He's always looking to figure out why he feels the way he does and what he can do to fix it. The best thing you can do for him is teach him to sit with his feelings and feel them rather than analyse them.
Nick:
He likes to ignore his problems and feelings and throw himself into his work instead. You can tell he's feeling bad when he's suddenly spending every waking moment Doing Things. You need to slow him down and force him to talk to you. Don't let him distract you and don't let him brush you off. As soon as he realises you're genuinely worried about him, he'll open up to you and try to work on it.
Joseph:
He's afraid of vulnerability and feeling things too strongly. He used to lash out a lot when he had feelings he didn't understand, and he's worried he'll do it again. So he tries to bottle everything up and pretend it's all okay. He needs you to remind him he's a different person who can control himself. Give him space to talk and let out his feelings, and consistently praise and reassure him for it.
Jean:
All of his negative emotions just become anger. Anger that he takes out on everyone else rather than processing. He'll just keep getting snappier and bitchier until you pull him aside and force him to tell you what's going on. You'll have to put up with some more bitching and probably some throwing things too, but if you just let him get his anger out, he'll finally tire himself out and open up to you.
Rory:
He's a pretty chill guy, and when he does need to get his feelings out he tends to just throw himself into his baking. But if you hang out with him while he does it and ask some questions, he'll tell you what's going on with him. As long as he has something to focus on, he'll keep talking. He struggles more when you demand his full attention, so just let him keep baking while you two talk, please.
Barry:
He doesn't do vulnerability. Well, not during work hours, at least. The only chance you have to see him vulnerable is if you somehow manage to sneak back into the shop after closing and go into his office. You'll find him sitting at his desk, nursing some vodka and crying. He'll tell you to fuck off or suck his dick, but if you take the alcohol from him and demand he talk, he'll open up pretty quick.

The Rise boys with an s/o who shows affection via biting, like they can just be hanging out And Reader just bites their respective turtle
A/n: Eats this request. I love this idea sm, especially considering how I actually bite my friends to show affection. I only did Leo and Donnie though, because I couldn't think of anything for Raph and Mikey, so I hope thats alright.
Pairing: Leo and gn reader, and Donnie and gn reader (separately!)
Tumblr media
Leo
Whines the first time you did it, he was complaining about how you bit him to hard
But after a while he becomes kind of desensitized to it
He even turns it into a sort of game
Whoever gets the most bites at the end of the day wins the game
“What are you doin’ Leo?”
“Can’t talk Raph, Oh! That reminds me, have you seen Y/N?”
“Uh no? Why?”
“I need to bite them, let me know if you see them.”
It confuses the hell out of his brothers when Leo is walking around the lair like a hungry animal hunting its next meal
Especially when they witness you creeping around, looking to them with a finger pressed over your mouth as if signaling them not to alert their blue brother
It’s like a really, really weird version of hide and go seek
Usually Leo is the one who ends up having to look for you and when he finds you it ends with you two wrestling on the floor, while Leo tries to bite you #couplegoals <3
Honestly you two have created an entire new love language
You and Leo sat side by side on your plush couch, flailing your arms frantically before you wilted in defeat letting out a tired groan as Leo let out a triumphant yell. Not once had you been able to beat him in Mario Kart, and as fun as having Leo kick your butt was, you wanted to win, even if just once.
“I told you you wouldn’t be able to beat me, I’m reigning champ y/n! It was a cute try though.” Leo hummed as he placed a small peck on your frowning face.
“Ah come on Nardo! Please, let me win, just once?” you pleaded, clasping your hands together in desperation. Leo let out a low hum, tapping his finger against his face in thought. As if thinking hard on the matter.
“Nope.”
You grunted, as Leo patted your head sympathetically before he rose from the couch leaning back as his back gave a satisfying pop.
“I’m going to grab something from the kitchen real quick, I’ll be back!” he called walking away.
You had to think of something, and fast. Nothing you could do in the game even seemed to phase him! He was able to doge your shots, and avoid obstacles in the game, so what could you do?
Then it came to you. No one said it had to be in the game. A smug grin crept across your face. You were going to win, no matter the cost.
That was when the blue turtle entered the room with a bowl of popcorn in his arms as he confidently strutted past you, little did he know that confident streak was about to come to an end.
“What do you say about one more game Leo? I have a good feeling about this one.” you smiled, waving your controller around.
“Sure, if you really want to have your butt kicked that badly again.”
You clicked the star button, the countdown began.
One
You revved up your engine, glancing at Leo
Two
Leos signature grin spread across his oblivious face
Three!
Without warning, you lean over to Leo, biting his shoulder as he lets out a hurt yelp letting go of his controller as he goes to cradle his ‘wounded’ shoulder.
Meanwhile you remind laser focus on your race as you continue to speed past Leo's still car, until your car finally dashed across the finish line.
“Yes!” you cheered, throwing your arms up in victory. You turned to the now glaring turtle.
“Aw Come on Leo, don’t be like that.” you chuckled bringing him in for a hug. Until you felt a sharp sting in your own shoulder.
“Did you just bite me?”
“Fair is fair.”
Tumblr media
Donnie
Is extremely weirded out
Doesn’t understand why you feel the need to bite him
Is this some weird human thing?
Genuinely puts in a lot of research to figure out why you bite him, and boy, he’s pretty sure he’s more confused than he was before
You’ll have to explain that it’s an affectionate thing because other wise hes going to truly start to believe that you want to eat him
Thinks it’s some sort or instinctual thing for you, but he never seems to really make peace with it
I mean, at least he always knows it’s you when someone walks up behind him and bites him
At first he tried to counter you whenever you tried to bite him he’d jump out of the way or simply scoot away
But that become harder to do every time he saw you
You sat on one of Donnie's spinny chairs your eyes staring at the blank wall as you lazily fiddled with the tool in your hand as Donnie continued to tinker away, hunched over the clutter of parts that laid on his desk. He rose up for a moment sticking his hand out expectingly.
“Screwdriver.” He commanded without taking his eyes of the mess of parts, without question you handed the item over to him, and once again Donnie became immersed in his work.
You sighed slowly spinning around on the stool, as the sound of scraping metal and rust filled the silent room.
“Donnie, can we please do something else now? I know I promised I’d help, but this isn’t really what I had in mind.” you spoke turning yourself around to face the purple brother, he seemed to pay you no mind as he worked.
“This is exactly what you promised to help with y/n, and if I recall you said you help me with whatever I asked.” you groaned
“Yeah, but being your personal tool shelf isn’t exactly what I thought you needed help with.”
No response.
Your eyebrows furrowed. You looked to the clock hanging on Donnie's wall, it read, 2:34, it had already been two whole hours of this. And saying you were simply bored would be an understatement, you felt as though your brain was slowly melting away, with every minute that ticked by.
You needed to get out of here and quickly. But the whole point of helping Donnie was so that he would hang out with you if you did him a favor.
Ugh, this really shouldn’t be a difficult thing to think about. But no matter how much you rattled your brain you couldn’t think of an easy situation
“Wrench.” you grabbed the Wrench before an idea popped into your head. As you began to hand Donnie the wrench you scooted closer until you were right beside him.
Donnie sighed.
“Y/n, what are you…” he was cut off as you nipped his shoulder.
Silence.
“Did you bite my shoulder?”
“Yes.”
“Why?”
“Can we please go outside now? I’m going to actually eat you if I have to spend one more minute being a tool shelf.”
That definitely motivated him to get moving.

P&C | Ch. 6: You Can Be My Baby For Tonight
Tumblr media
➪ Playlist (Spotify) l Series Masterlist
“Okay, that’s going to be an hour,” I say, pressing the power button. Finally, I made eye contact with Jungkook, who was now busy smelling the fabric softener in my basket.
“Hhmm, peaches, that’s why you smell so nice,” he grins softly, meeting my eyes. I hide my flustered state with a giggle and pack up. Hoping that something comes up so he can leave, I ask if he has any plans for tonight. He shakes his head.
“Nope, which reminds me, there's going to be a welcome party at one of the frat houses, you should come,” he says, his doe eyes sparkling under the basement lights. I genuinely try to give it a chance, but the mere thought of another party is making me nauseous.
“Oh no thank you, I really should just stay back and focus on school,” I reply with a soft smile, hoping he would get the hint.
“Come on Mira, it's only the second week. Plus, Jiah and Jimin will be there as well.” Jungkook says, not breaking our eye contact.
“Well, I'll think about it, but thank you again for the invitation. Anyways, why are you so determined to make me go?” I laugh, flipping my hair to the side feeling my ego rise as we speak.
“Have you become obsessed with me already?” I tease.
“Relax Kenough, I want to redeem myself from the last party. That was sleep-deprived Jungkook,” he scoffs, leaning back on the laundry machine.
“Ok ok well, can't wait to see your redemption arc,” I tease, sticking out my tongue as I make my way to the exit door. Jungkook follows behind.
--
When Jungkook said he didn't have any plans for tonight he really meant it. For the next hour, we just walked around campus and talked about our life before university. He was in a band with Tae and Jimin when they were in high school called, Bulletproof Boys. I had to laugh.
“And you dared to make fun of my shirt?” I cackle, trying to maintain my composure at the goofy name.
“YAH! That was the best option, be glad we didn't go with Tae's idea, The JJV” he quickly scoffs back, stuttering from frustration. I can't help but begin to hiccup from all the laughing.
“JJV? That sounds like a disease … or a cult. Did you guys even want to attract girls or …?” I giggle, looking him dead in the eyes. He pushes me gently before sitting on the bench in front of the dorm building.
“So, have you decided yet?” Jungkook quickly changes the subject as I take a seat beside him. Amid the giggles, I look up at him with confusion.
“Oh, you meant the party? I mean sure, I guess, I'm feeling better now. Anyways, who would want to miss out on the opportunity of seeing a not sleep-deprived Jungkook?” I smile at him, sticking out my tongue.
“Be careful Miraya, you might manifest something,” he leans in, giving me a grin. I pretend to puke and walk to the entrance. Again, Jungkook follows like a puppy, teeth peeking through his soft smile.
--
7:00 p.m.
Jiah: Hey lovely, are you almost ready? I’ll pick you up in about 15 mins.
I look down at my phone, hair still in rollers as I touch up my makeup. My body tenses up, nerves are at an all-time high. I’m still not 100% sure about going but evidently, it’s too late now. What’s the big deal? It’s just going to be me and Jiah, Jimin, Tae, and Jungkook. Stop it, Mira. I dismiss the tension and quickly fix up my hairdo with a layer of hairspray.
We were at the destination within the next hour, both of us looking great as usual. Jiah wore her new mini silk dress with a sweetheart neckline. Hair in a half-up, half-down style she was giving sexy princess vibes. I was contemplating between two options but decided to go with a black ruffle mini-dress with my knee-high boots, leaving my hair down in soft curls. Borderline looking like I planned on cosplaying someone from Pirates of the Caribbean, but hey, it looked good so who am I to change?
The welcome party was set at a huge frat house. Very surreal as I’ve never seen one in real life, let alone stepped foot into it. After leaving our Uber, I could see the mob of people flowing in through the entrance door lit by bright neon lights. Jiah gives me a reassuring smile as we blend into the madness.
“Hey, girls!” I hear Jimin’s voice waving from across the room. Jiah waves back as we try to make it through the crowd of people, some of whom are already tipsy while others are too busy busting down moves on the dance floor. The whole place smells of alcohol and a mix of every perfume you can think of.
“Hi baby,” Jiah melts into Jimin’s embrace as I say hi to the rest of the guys.
“Hey Flip-flops, don’t you look nice?” I hear Tae’s tease as he salutes a hello. My eyes can’t help but roll, as I giggle at him.
“Hey Tae, you don’t look too shabby yourself,” I grin with a soft smile. We spend some time catching up before I ask about Jungkook’s whereabouts.
“He should be by the food table, said he was going to get us drinks,” Tae replies as I nod and excuse myself before heading to the said place.
It was like looking for Waldo, everyone looked identical under the dim lights. Before heading back to the group with a plate full of various snacks, I’m halted by the feel of a hand on my shoulder.
“Hi Peaches” Jungkook whispers into my ear. My eyes widen as he smiles back, his doe eyes somehow still sparkling.
“Oh, peaches?” I giggle raising my right eyebrow.
“What? Tae can call you flip-flops but you draw the line on peaches?” he grins, leaning back on the table, taking the plates off of my hands. I try to talk back but he is already walking back to the group, looking back at my appalled state.
--
So far the party was nice, we talked, or should I say gossiped, ate lots of food, and drank. I am not intrigued by the idea of alcohol, but it fits the theme tonight so I let loose. However, from the few instances that I did consume it, I can definitely say I’m a light drinker. The phenomenon proved itself once again, as I found myself swaying on the dance floor after two tequila cocktails. Jiah and Jimin decided to take a breather outside, while Tae was busy playing beer pong with his other buddies.
“Please don’t stop the music … music … music,” I muttered under my breath as Rihana blasted on the speaker. With my hands in the air and eyes closed my body gave into the ambience. Before I could mutter the next lyric I was interrupted by Jungkook’s presence.
“There you are, baby,” he says, his body filling the space between us. His hands pretend to rest on my waistline, cautious to not make actual contact.
“Baby?” I question, looking up at his concentrated face. My eyes are hazed, lids heavy as I try to make out what is happening.
“It was either that or some random stranger disturbing you,” he whispers into my ear, as I feel his lip ring on my skin. I was too drunk to even notice the guy in question, but something about Jungkook’s protective side made me step closer.
“I like baby more than peaches,” I tip-toe, trying to reach his ear, placing my hands on his broad shoulders. Within a split second, my sober consciousness revokes my action, backing away as my gaze lowers to the floor. I try to shake my head before letting out a soft sorry.
Jungkook steps closer and lifts my chin with his index finger and thumb, his eyes meet mine as he lets out a little chuckle.
“You can be my baby for tonight,” he reassures, knowing dam well that he would be dead on a stick if I was sober. However, right now, neither of us protest the tension as our bodies groove with the music. My hands are once again on his shoulders, as he gently pulls me closer by the waist. Eyes locked on each other, the room becomes silent. For a moment, it was just the two of us.
“You look beautiful by the way,” he whispers into my ear as I lean my head on his chest, feeling the fatigue build up. I try to reply with a soft thank you before feeling my heavy lids close. Jungkook’s hold on my body becomes firmer, as I melt into his embrace, the smell of his cologne blending in with my perfume.
Before he could check on my state, Jungkook was interrupted by a bright flash coming from Tae’s phone camera. His boxy smile grows wider when he analyzes the situation on the dance floor. Pocking out his tongue he teases Jungkook with the photo, before taking a sip of water in hopes of sobering up.
“How did this happen?” Tae chuckles, trying to see if I was still awake. His hands inches away from moving some stands of hair out of my face before being interrupted by Jungkook tsk. Tae shakes his head, raises his hands and backs away with a wide smile, rolling his eyes.

Part 3 Here
Tumblr media
Ashanti wipes away her tears. "I appreciate that, Naomi. Honestly, I really think that you're such an amazing person. I'm just really bad at saying it." She says with a faint smile. "I'm really sorry for everything I put you through before and after Michael got here. I really do love you. Please forgive me?"
"Of course, I forgive you, Ashanti." I pull her into a hug, a real one. She hesitates for a second, before hugging me back. I give her a little squeeze as I missed this feeling with my cousin. She doesn't let go for a moment, before finally speaking again.
"Hey... can I ask you a favor?" She asks, her voice soft.
Yeah, what is it?" I reply, prepared for whatever she might ask of me. Ashanti pulls back, looking a bit vulnerable.
"Could I... come live with you?" She looks at me with a nervous smile. "I really want to just start somewhere fresh, but I also want to mend our relationship as well. It wouldn't be for long, just until I get back on my feet, but I just really need to get out of my old place." I return the smile, genuinely touched by her sincerity.
"I'd like that, Ashanti. I'd be happy to help out in any way I can." We both hug once more and stand up from the couch. "And, you know what? I think I have an idea on how you can make up with your other cousins as well." I smirk at her and she looks at me, ready to hear what I have to say.
The two of us start planning the perfect way to reconcile with everyone and get closer as well. Ashanti sends out a bunch of texts to Teresa, James, Dan, and Michael, asking if they'd want to join us. Within a minute, everyone responded and meet us in the living room. Ashanti and I ignore the looks we get from our aunts in the kitchen and focus on the task at hand.
"What's going on?" Teresa asks, taking a seat on the couch. She's followed by the others, a little curious as to why they're here. Ashanti smiles and steps forward, a little nervous. I give her a reassuring nod and she takes a deep breath.
"First off, I'd like to apologize for yesterday." Everyone is a little taken aback. Ashanti continues. "I was mean, bitter, and ungrateful for the love you guys have shown me. I was out of line and none of you deserved to witness that or be spoken to like that. And for that, I'm sorry." She looks down at her feet. "I know I've been a real piece of work these past couple days. But I'm also going through a lot right now and it's no excuse for how I've been treating you. I want to make it up to everyone. So..." She pauses for a second and looks up to smile at everyone. "I want to take all of you out to a Christmas brunch! On me!"
Everyone is shocked at Ashanti's proposal, but they look so happy to hear the news. James and Dan are the first to respond.
"Sounds great," Teresa says, sounding a bit giddy.
"I'm down," Agrees Dan, smiling at Ashanti. One by one, each of them join in.
"I'm always up for free food." Michael adds, jokingly. We all share a bit of a laugh.
"I'd love to go, but I told the boys and Jessie I'd take them to see the Grinch today. But, you guys go have fun." James says, but he doesn't look bummed at all. Ashanti seems disappointed at first, but quickly recovers with a smile.
"That's okay. Maybe some other time." She says, staying positive. James leaves to go get the kids and the energy in the room shifts as they discuss plans for the Christmas brunch. Everyone contributes ideas about the perfect venue, sharing laughter and excitement. The air is light, filled with the promise of a fun time.
An hour later, we all pile into Daniel's car and head to the venue. It's a cute, festive restaurant decorated with twinkling lights and holiday decorations. It has a similar feel to the Christmas market. As we all walk in, we're greeted by an incredibly merry hostess.
"Hello!!! Do you have a reservation?" She asks and Ashanti nods, stepping forward.
"Yes, under the name Ashanti. I called earlier." She explains.
"Perfect! We are ready for you!" We all smile to each other as the hostess guides us to a table with a gorgeous view. The place is filled with people in Christmas attire, eating holiday-themed meals and enjoying the atmosphere. We're seated at a booth where Dan, Ashanti, and Teresa sit on one side and Michael and I sit on the other.
We're each handed a menu and the waiter takes our drink orders while we browse. Teresa strikes up a conversation.
"So, what are you guys planning on ordering? I'm kinda leaning towards these Christmas pancakes." Teresa points to the item on the menu and Daniel rolls his eyes.
"You would go for the pancakes, T." He teases with a smirk. Teresa gives him a playful jab in his side.
"That's supposed to be an insult?" She argues with a laugh.
"To be fair, you've been obsessed with loaded pancakes since we were kids." I add, shrugging my shoulders.
"I don't see what the problem is. It's the holidays and I have exactly a day and a half before I have to go back to my diet. I deserve this." She puts her hands up in defense and we all laugh. "Ugh, it's so crazy that we're all going back in just two days." Teresa sighs and we all nod.
"Aww, I'm gonna miss everyoneeeee." Ashanti pouts and puts her arms around Dan and Teresa, pulling them in. I giggle at them and sigh as well.
"I agree. I really enjoyed being back with you guys. And getting to meet you too, Michael. " I say with a smile as I look over at him. He returns the smile and grabs my hand under the table.
"I've really enjoyed being here as well. It's been nice getting to know you. All of you." He looks around the table. "Y'all didn't have to let me stay, but you did. I'm real grateful for that." He gives my hand a squeeze. The feeling of his skin on mine makes me feel butterflies.
"Ahh, come on, man. You know you part of the family now. You're welcome anytime." Dan assures him. It gets silent for a moment as the realization sets in.
"Okay, that's enough of that. Guys, remember, we still have a day to be together. Let's make the most of it!" Ashanti says before the mood gets any dimmer. Everyone nods in agreement as the drinks arrive and we order our food. The conversation between all of us flows naturally, but I can't help but feel a bit of sadness. It's true, we do only have one day left. So what will that mean for me and Michael. I know we've only met recently, but I feel like what we have is special. At least I hope it is. I'm lost in my thoughts when I'm snapped out of it by Teresa.
"You good, Naomi?" Everyone at the table looks at me as I come back down to earth. I put on a smile and nod.
"Yeah! I'm fine, guys." I reply, hoping they don't realize my true feelings. Michael glances over at me, curious about my thoughts. He's trying to read my reaction but I've always been very good at hiding my emotions. Even though I might've fooled everyone else, he seems to have seen through my act. He tugs on my hand a bit, sliding out of the booth while everyone chats.
"We'll be right back. Gotta step out for a second." Michael announces as he stands up. I follow him through the restaurant and he leads me outside before turning to face me. The air is brisk and the wind is chill, but it's also refreshing.
"What's wrong?" He asks quietly, stepping in closer. I hesitate for a moment, unsure of what to say.
"Nothing, I'm fine." I respond, knowing I'm lying and that he knows it too. He looks down at me, his eyes searching mine.
"You're a terrible liar, yknow that?" He chuckles, brushing a hair out my face. I bite my lip as I search my thoughts for a way out of this situation. We were having such a nice time and I don't want to ruin it. "Come on, I know something's bothering you." He presses me for an answer and I sigh heavily, my breath visible in the cold.
"It's just... I've had so much fun here with you these last couple days, but the reality is..." I hesitate, unsure of if I want to fully admit my feelings.
"You're afraid of going back and not seeing me again, aren't you?" He asks, not bothering to wait for me to finish. I slowly nod, avoiding his gaze. This is embarrassing. It feels like we're two teenagers who just want to keep hanging out, even though we know the end is inevitable.
"It's silly, but I'm worried that this is just a little Christmas crush that will fade away as soon as I get on that plane." I admit. He frowns a bit at those words.
"A crush," He repeats, sounding a little hurt. "Do you really think that's all this is?" He asks, holding my hands in his. "Because this feels like much more than that."
"But we have two completely different lives. How will it even work? What will people think?" I question, worry written on my features. He lets out a scoff and I look up at him with my eyebrows raised.
"I'm sorry, I don't mean to be funny, but who cares?" He takes my face in his hands and runs his thumb gently over my cheek. "Naomi, I'm not sure what this is exactly, but I know one thing for sure. I want you. I want to get to know everything about that beautiful mind of yours and I want to hear every exciting, interesting thing that you have to say. I may have just met you recently, but I feel something special between us and I feel like I'd regret it for the rest of my life if I don't explore it."
I'm taken aback by his words. He looks so honest and so genuine. I've always had trouble with relationships and even though I want nothing more than to believe him, it's hard. I hesitate until he makes me look into his eyes. I can't help but to melt.
"I don't care about the distance or other people's bullshit opinions. You're worth the effort, Naomi. I can't promise you that we'll end up living happily ever after, but I can promise to give it a fair shot."
The idea of life together is tempting and a little bit scary. I've never felt this way before. Not with any of my last boyfriend and not with the guys who've taken interest in me. This feels special, something that only I get to experience.
"What if it fails?" I inquire, worry etched into my voice. He pulls me in close and hugs me.
"Life's too short to worry about what might happen. Even if things don't work out in the long run, I'd much rather know I gave this a real chance than regret never doing anything at all." He releases me and we're just staring at each other, my eyes stuck in his gaze. I feel every one of Michael's words sink into my skin. It feels like his love is seeping into my bones and like a weight has been lifted off of my shoulders. I feel so safe when he hugs me and I don't want to let go.
Without thinking about it, I lean in and kiss him softly. His face brightens at my unexpected advance. He looks so delighted, like this is exactly what he wanted me to do. His lips are soft and sweet and his grip tightens around me. It's a kiss filled with such passing that it makes my heart flutter. I'm filled with so many different emotions, but this just feels right. I don't pull away, but he breaks the kiss to catch his breath.
Our eyes meet slowly as we come back to our senses. His lips curve into a soft smile and my heart's racing. The kiss was brief, but it sent my emotions into hyperdrive. I feel lightheaded, almost dizzy.
"That definitely wasn't a 'holiday crush' kind of kiss. That was a 'I really like you and want to see where this goes' kind of kiss." He whispers, smiling warmly at me.
"I like that kind of kiss." I reply with a blush, causing Michael to chuckle and pull me into another hug. I can't help but to press myself into his chest, taking in his scent. It's intoxicating and soothing, causing me to calm down a little bit.
"Good. Because I plan on giving you a lot more of those." We hug for a few moments before realizing that we're still standing outside the restaurant in the cold.
"We should probably get inside. The food's probably at the table already." Michael nods, pulling me in tightly for one last moment before we break apart.
"Yeah, we better get back inside before they start to wonder where we went." He says as he takes my hand and we return inside the restaurant. The group is engaged in a lively conversation, and as Michael and I take our seats, there's a subtle shift in the dynamic. Our connection is now more apparent, and it's met with knowing smiles from Teresa, Dan, and Ashanti.
The brunch continues, filled with laughter, shared stories, and newfound closeness. The worries about our impending departure are momentarily pushed aside as we savor the present. We all indulge in a variety of holiday-themed dishes, from the Santa pancakes to the Christmas tree salads to the fruit cakes. Only Dan got the fruit cake and we all clowned him for it.
After a great meal, the group decides to explore some of the shops in town to do some last minute gift searching. It's a short walk from the restaurant to the shops, which are located in a nearby plaza. Ashanti, Teresa, and I get excited once we see a clothing shop and we rush over to it, leaving the boys behind. They shake their heads and follow behind us.
The store is filled with a variety of stylish winter clothing and accessories. As we stop to take a look, Ashanti is already pulling pieces off the rack and handing them to Daniel and Michael to hold. Teresa and I browse around and laugh a little at some of the ridiculous holiday outfits they have stocked.
We all have so much fun trying on clothes and making each other laugh, teasing each other and goofing around. Teresa makes a beeline for some ugly, light-up leggings and Ashanti ends up trying on a cute Santa dress. I end up in an adorable elf outfit with a pointy hat and bell. The boys somehow found their own costumes, Daniel in a Rudolph onesie and Michael in a full Santa costume, fake beard and everything. We find a large mirror and take silly photos in it, just having a good time.
We hit a few other shops, buying a few things here and there and getting them gift-wrapped. I find myself having more fun than I've had in a very long time and I'm grateful to have my family and Michael here with me.
The shopping ends up taking longer than I anticipated, but it's all worthwhile because of how much of a good time we all had together. By the time we're wrapping up, it's almost dark and about time for us to get going. We head back to the car and head home.
When we arrive at the house, we put all of our shopping in our rooms for us to wrap and head back downstairs. We're greeted warmly by Grandmother, who wastes no time putting us to work.
"Let's get this house ready for Christmas, shall we?" She tells us.
"Yes Ma'am." We all respond obediently. She proceeds to direct us to our tasks. We all get straight to work, cleaning the living room and sweeping the kitchen. After I'm done with my job, I set the kids up with a movie of The Grinch to keep them occupied while dinner is completed. I look over and see Michael helping out in the kitchen, chatting with my mom and effortlessly becoming a part of the family chaos. I catch his eye and he shoots me a wink, causing me to smile to back and look down bashfully.
After an hour or so, the house is looking spotless, and the smells of delicious food is wafting through the air. We all gather in the kitchen as the meal bell is run, standing in a large circle. Grandmother leads the proceedings with grace, her presence calming and loving. As she says, "Amen," she looks over at me and I can't help but to smile back at her.
Once we've prayed, dinner is served. We all sit down with plates full of delicious food. The dining table is completely full, with the twins sitting at the kitchen bar to eat and Jessie in her high chair. The room is filled with lively chatter and laughter. Aunt Tina and Pat avoid eye contact and conversation with me aside from a few snide comments, but I don't care. For once, their words don't have an effect on me.
It's a very heartwarming, Christmas filled atmosphere and I love the way that things are turning out. Michael is right next to me the whole time and I keep catching him glancing at me. The food is amazing, each dish a delight to our taste buds. We much away heartily, enjoying the evening together.
After dinner, Michael, James, and Daniel head upstairs for a few minutes, seeming to be planning something. I pay no mind to it, stepping into the kitchen to help clean up the kitchen with Teresa while Ashanti sits with Jessie in her lap in the living room. Jessie keeps trying to climb all over her, but she seems to be able to handle herself.
Daniel and James come back down the stairs and get our attention. We all stop what we're doing and look over at them.
"We have a surprise for everyone!" James announces and they direct our attention to the stairs. Coming down the stairs was Santa Claus with a red velvety bag slung over his shoulder. It's obviously Michael, but the kids go crazy with excitement.
"SANTA!!" Matthew shouts as he jumps off of the couch. Jessie squeals happily, running clumsily over to hug "Santa's" leg. He picks her up and smiles at her. I burst out laughing at the children's joyous reactions. It's pure and innocent and utterly wholesome. Michael plays the part well, holding jessie as she talks to him in her adorable toddler language. He brings her over into the living room and turns to face everyone.
"Ho ho ho! Merry Christmas, everyone! I hope everyone has been nice this year!" Everyone erupts in a cheer, the children giggling and laughing. Teresa watches with a genuine smile as she sees her kids meeting Santa. James is catching it all on his camera as well. Santa goes around giving gifts to the kids. The happily open their gifts and it's cute little trinkets that I assume he got from the Christmas market.
"Oh? What's this down here?" He says as he reaches into the bottom of the bag. "It looks like there's one more present in here. I wonder who it could be fore." We all look around curiously. He hands me a small gift, giving me a flirty wink and causing me to giggle. I tear the wrapping paper out of eager curiosity as I peel the wrapping.
Inside is a set of emerald earrings and a matching necklace from Tiffany and Co. I'm speechless for a moment, it feels like time stops for a second.
"Oh my God, Mi- I mean Santa! These are gorgeous!" I have to fight the urge to kiss him, knowing our families are watching. Instead, I smile widely at him as I try the necklace on, the metallic clasp settling nicely against my skin. The expression on his face is one of pure pride as he watches me admire my gift. His gaze falls to my neck as I place the necklace on. His eyes are stuck on me the whole time. He's not just admiring the jewelry, but the woman wearing them as well.
"Santa has very good taste, don't you think?" He asks, chuckling as he gives me a knowing smile.
"I couldn't agree more," I reply. The kids swarm him for a second, hugging his legs and thanking him for their gifts. After taking a few pics with Santa, the kids start to lose interest and wander away to play with their toys. Michael laughs as they run off.
"It's good to know that even Christmas can't hold the kid's attention for that long." He says, causing us all to laugh along with him. He heads back upstairs to get changed again and Ashanti and Teresa rush over to me to admire my new jewelry. They start asking me about what I'd wear them with and talking about how he must really like me. Eventually Michael comes back down in a grey long sleeve and a pair of plaid pajama pants.
The kids have all passed out due to exhaustion from the excitement and the older folks seemed to have gone into food comas. The rest of us sit in the living room in front of the TV with glasses of wine. Michael has taken a seat next to me, leaning back and putting his arm around me. We all put on some funny Christmas movies and enjoy each other's company. The wine loosens us up and the atmosphere is light-hearted.
The rest of the night feels like a blur. I feel comfortable on the couch and lean into Michael's side, my head resting on his shoulder as the movie goes on. Finding myself being a bit more affectionate than I'm use to, I plant a few kisses on his neck, making sure no one else is watching us. His hand runs up and down my side before resting on my hip as he smiles down at me. He pulls me a little closer and plants a kiss on my head. It just feels right to be here, snuggled up in Michael's arms. I don't have any worries in this moment, I'm just going to bask in this moment for as long as I can.
To Be Continued...

Hi! Question for you once you've had a chance to finish S3 of Ted Lasso: I'd love to hear your perspective on how S3 could have unfolded in a more fulfilling way. No pressure, of course, but I enjoy reading your insights. :)
Okay! I am rolling up my sleeves.
EXPRESSING-OPINIONS-ON-THE-INTERNET CAVEAT: I am not a media critic, and not everything in this post will be cohesive, well-thought-out, and non-contradictory. I do not for a moment pretend that my opinions are Correct, they are merely my own.
SECOND CAVEAT: At this point, with where they left arcs, I'm about 80% sure that depending on how the WGA strike goes (crossing my fingers for them) and any corporate retaliation for that, there will be a spinoff or continuation sans Ted. More of their choices make sense if that is true, even if I don't love the thought (let shows end!!!), so this is all changes I would make assuming s3 is the final season.
The thing about this season, for me, is that any given episode or moment was largely really enjoyable for me! Sure, a few quibbles, and the whole Roy and Keeley thing we will get to in a moment, but if I ignored the fact that I was watching a season, most things worked for me. Looking at it as a season, though, it was too busy, in a way that meant the show dropped a lot of things I wanted to see more of.
So, when pondering this question, I think that there's no way to keep everything I love while getting rid of only the things that annoyed me or that didn't feel right to me. And in the end, I'd rather miss things that weren't there than be annoyed with things that are present, so my take on s3 would streamline a lot of things to engage with others.
Oh boy, this is already long, time for a cut.
Change #1: Roy and Keeley do not break up. There was simply no reason for this, and especially no reason for it to happen off-screen. They can still fight and have difficulties, and Roy can deal with his mental health, but it's just unnecessary drama and I never understood it. This also prevents Roy and Jamie's weird last-episode regression to fighting over her and forcing her into shitty positions.
Change #2: Most of Keeley's plotlines change. All of the KJPR plots and characters were interesting, but they also busied the season up too much. So I'd have her actually building up a one-woman business without Jack (or, tragically, Barbara), maybe doing the Shandy thing and grappling with that for longer, or her dealing with the Establishment the way Rebecca does so often, trying to make them see her as a businesswoman and not a footballer's girlfriend.
Change #3: Beard and Jane break up. We get to carry over the threads from s2 from the Beard episode and from Higgins expressing his concern, instead of treating the way Jane treats him as comedy. We also get to counteract this show's everyone-deserves-not-just-forgiveness-for-everything-but-also-to-be-in-your-life-again message with one instance of someone setting out a boundary and sticking to it.
Change #4: Many of Nate's plots change. As with Barbara, I would really regret losing Jade, but I think there are better uses of Nate's screentime--he was set up to be a real main character in s2 and I felt like I hardly saw him in s3. What I really wanted was for Nate to learn how to have power over people responsibly, I think? I'd have chosen either for him to grit his teeth and stay at West Ham (perhaps while joining the conspiracy to overthrow Rupert) or, when he left, for him to somehow end up coaching a kids' team, and learn gentleness in authority that way. It would pick up this show's really genuinely cool theme of "once one person makes a point of stepping out of the cycle of abuse and trauma it can ripple out around them" in interesting ways.
And while there are many other tweaks I'd make (more Sam, his last focus plot was SO goddamn miserable; eliminate everything about the psychic; goodbye to Rebecca's boat stranger), I'm going to finish with the last big one, which is
Change #5: Ted gets to do something besides reinvent total football, pine for his son, and make speeches that should have been edited down to a third of their length tops. He just seems so checked out this whole season, just talking about how none of the work he's done is on him, all focused on Henry in the wrong ways, so that going back to Kansas felt more like a horrible sacrifice than a choice that will bring him fulfillment or contentment. He was always going to go back to Kansas and his son, much as I wasn't wild about that, but it doesn't feel like a new beginning for him, just like he's going back to his old life with a little more knowledge of football and more knowledge of how to model good parenting and relationships for his kid (while not, from the way I interpreted that last expression, dealing any further with his own mental health). It felt weirdly dark for this show.
(Also I know this show loves its book theming, and I know it's The Wizard of Oz (see: a song from The Wiz playing over the credits to the penultimate episode), but have they considered that in subsequent Oz books Dorothy and her family move back to Oz? Things to consider.)

Jen Tortures Herself With Every Dreamworks Animated Movie Ever: How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World
Tumblr media
Alright it's time to out myself in front of the entire HTTYD tumblr fandom. I like this movie. A lot. Ok? Like I think its really fucking great and I will not deny that. Is it as good as the first two entries in this franchise? No, but it's still damn solid in its own right. So let's get into it.
Tumblr media
We pick up a year after the last movie, with the arrival of another new threat to Berk, the "Night Fury killer" Grimmel the Grisley. To protect his people and their dragons, Hiccup moves the entire tribe to a new island while in search for the Hidden World, an unreachable utopia for all dragonkind. Meanwhile, Toothless is allured by the arrival of a new, mysterious female dragon, the Light Fury, which complicates matters even further as Hiccup begins to worry that he and Toothless are growing apart.
Tumblr media
So yeah still a pretty good plot, though not as solidly cohesive as the first two. Still, I enjoy the ride here a lot; we still get a lot of great scenes of the riders fighting their foes, lots of great flying scenes (especially that one between Toothless and the Light Fury, man that scene is just gorgeous), lots of action and strangely enough, a bit more of a focus on humor here than usual? I mean it's ok, but a little strange given this is the final entry in the franchise and the stakes are supposed to be higher than ever.
Tumblr media
Speaking of stakes, let's talk about that. Grimmel is by in large the only real new character here (aside from the Light Fury I guess, and she's fine, I don't understand the hate towards her design, I think she's cute). And he is... probably the lamest fuckin villain in this franchise, there I said it. He's just... some dude. He's nowhere near as unhinged and intimidating as Drago, nowhere near as smart or interesting or even just fun to watch as any of the villains in the HTTYD shows, he's just... idk man, a really boring villain. Certainly not what I think the "ultimate" challenge for a protagonist as well developed and interesting as Hiccup should be imo.
Tumblr media
I know there are plenty of complains thrown around about this movie, the other riders are poorly-characterized, Grimmel is a lame villain (as I just said, I agree with that one), and of course, it's biggest controversy, it's ending. But here's my take on the ending. I think it's actually pretty bold of them to have the dragons leave? Like yes, there is a heavy sense of finality to it, but that's sort of the point. There's a massive change to the status quo, it feels like a genuine ending with little in the way of Dreamworks doing what they always fucking do in trying to bait any unecessary sequels. And then of course, there's the epilogue, which may be one of my favorite scenes in the entire franchise. I literally cannot watch it without crying, I'm such a fucking wreck for this boy and his dragon oh my god.
Tumblr media
As usual, visually and audibly, this movie is absolutely wonderful. The animation here is especially impressive, the lighting took my breath away in some spots with just how realistic some of it looked, while still maintaining the series' usual style. The Hidden World especially, we don't see it for very long, but it is so damn pretty to look at. The music is, of course, also absolutely lovely, once again drawing on familiar themes from throughout the series to send it off one last time.
Tumblr media
There's lots of other little things I love about this movie too, like the flashbacks to Stoick and Hiccup when Hiccup was little (I cry), any cute Hicstrid moments, especially the wedding (I cry), Toothless being an absolute mess while trying to impress the Light Fury (I die laughing), just... god, it's more How to Train Your Dragon, man, I fucking love this franchise, how the hell can I possibly hate this movie when there's still so much of what I love about the first two in here?
I do understand, this movie is flawed in some pretty big ways. And yet... it's still so beautiful all the same. I adore it, even if others don't, and I think that's ok? We can all enjoy different things and I just so happen to enjoy this. No, it's certainly not the best this series can do, and maybe the HTTYD franchise does deserve a better conclusion. But for what we got, well... I think it's pretty damn great all the same.
Overall Rating: 9/10
Verdict: How to get your dragon some rizz bc gottdamn he needs some

Witcher Season 3 (AKA The "Final" Season 🤣😂)
Alright y'all, back at it again with my 3rd Witcher tv show "review" or whatever. S1 | S2
Disclosure: I already told y'all that I've made peace with this being the Yennefer Show, and that I'll keep watching when Liam Hensworth plays Geralt in S4, because this show ain't been about Geralt or witchers anyway--it's about the mages, obviously. Like, I don't blame Cavill for leaving, cuz if I had to play second fiddle to Yenn when I'M the titular MC, but I don't have ANY scenes, ZERO speaking lines, and NOTHING to do in my own show, then yeah I'd quit too! So I'm not gonna complain about what I WISH this show was--it will NEVER be the books or the games (definitely not Game of Thrones). Missed opportunity.
All that being said, unpopular opinion, but IMO Season 3 kinda slapped? The 2nd "volume"/part was the best BY FAR, but I genuinely liked the vast majority of the episodes. I give S3 a 9.5/10, because I actually have very few complaints about this season overall, I'm shocked. (EDIT: I have DEEProoted suspicions about a lot of naysayers/hatewatchers who say the show's "unwatchable," just because it's got a multicultural cast/"agenda"--sounds like racism to me.)
THE GOOD
The MAIN PLOT actually went somewhere!!!! A wild Vilgefortz appears! ^0^ He beat the DOG SNOT outta Geralt, YIKES! XD
Tumblr media
One of my biggest gripes about S1 was that the show didn't focus nearly enough on THE BIG BAD, Vilgefortz. Cahir got SO MUCH screentime doing literally NOTHING for 2 whole seasons, meanwhile the rest of Geralt's Hanse was NOWHERE to be seen, and Vilgefortz was just sitting in the cut looking pretty, like wtf?
Tumblr media
And Season 2 was barely any better!
Tumblr media
But yeah, S3 FINALLY gave us Vilgefortz's dastardly behavior I'd been waiting for. He effed everybody up at Thanned, as I expected--that's my special evil boy! <3 (Now that Ciri jacked half his face up I'm very sad--that man is absolutely splendid to look at. A moment of silence for the eye candy, it will be missed. U_U)
THANNED. ^0^ Hoooooooly god this was great, even better than Sodden in S1. Episode 6 is the best episode in S3--such a great battle; people were dying left and right. And MAMA TISS!!!!! She went OFF! O_O
Tumblr media
It was so sad, but ofc this was all gonna happen--they had Tissaia allllll the way up Vilgefortz's butt, so OF COURSE she was going to be crushed when he INEVITABLY betrayed her. (I don't blame you though, girl, cuz he's SO DANG PRETTY! I'd be crushed, too!) But at least Mama Tissaia got that body count up during the battle--SLAY! The way Filavandrel was just.... 🤯
Tumblr media
Speaking of the elves, Francesca and Fringilla were put on the backburner (after dang near dominating S2); but I like the way their arcs ended, even though I felt bad for them. Very good scenes; the mages & their arcs are the very best parts of the show, as usual.
LODGE OF SORCERESSES RISE! ^0^ Dijikstra & Philippa. 😍
Tumblr media
These freaks--I LOVE them, your honor! 😅 I was so hyped to see Geralt break Djikstra's leg, but Philippa had me ROLLING when she was like "well, it's a good thing you like pain"--I DIED! XD These kinky mofos! They're hands down one of the best parts of the whole show--I LOVE how sinister Philippa is (her bird feathers are such a great touch--whoever was in charge of her costumes & HAIR 👌), and what a simp Dijkstra is for her. It makes me so sad to know how things go for them in the video game--I sided with Dijikstra to kill Radovid, and was so hurt when he went after Thaler & Roche. But....yeah, I did pick the option to break his other leg, so....oops? XD
Tumblr media
So yes, I'm excited to see where this show goes with Philippa and Vilgefortz; how their schemes line up (or not) with Emhyr and the Fake Ciri; and how that effects the REAL Ciri and how she eventually ends up under Avallach (I hope we get to see him on the show!).
Tumblr media
Speaking of Ciri, we FIIIIINALLY got to see some domestic Geralt, Yenn & Ciri--even if they are on the run from assassins; and Geralt's iced Yenn out cuz she tried to sacrifice Ciri to Voleth Mier back in S2. A lot of the fandom HATED that they made S2 Yenn betray them, but I think S3 did an alright job of not retconning her, per se, but patching things up. Cuz it's NOT a good look to have your (REAL) main character (LOL) hated by the fandom for betraying her own "daughter." So was the domesticity hamfisted? YES. But was it necessary? GOD yes, otherwise what's the point of showing The Last Wish? They're supposed to be a FAMILY, so for god's sake start giving them scenes to actually SHOW us that--stfu about "destiny"!
Tumblr media
Probably another unpopular opinion, but I liked Episode 7 with the unicorn. These are the kinds of adventures Ciri NEEDED in S1, running around some stupid empty forests doing NOTHING is different from learning how to survive on her own in a strange wilderness, encountering strange creatures, and tapping into the good AND bad sides of her magic.
Tumblr media
And oooooh my god, the GOAT has returned.
Tumblr media
A lot of...hrm...interesting conversations were had as Ciri was hallucinating in the desert, with love of my life Grandmama Calanthe, as well as Pavetta & Falka. It's a shame that Ciri didn't get this kind of development MUCH earlier in the series. Too little too late? We'll have to see where Ciri's plot goes with the Rats in S4 to find out if her new whole Chaos/Fire magic arc is worth it.
AT LONG EFFING LAST, we're getting some HANSE ACTION!!!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I've been SO EFFING SICK of Cahir. I'm glad Ciri finally got closure with him from SEASON ONE, and that he's FINALLY in the Hanse now--took y'all long enough, ffs! And Milva's interesting so far, so I'm glad to see her around, giving Geralt & Dandelion grief. So in S4 all we need now is Angie, and YA BOI!!! ^0^
Tumblr media
THE BAD
I wish Mistle and the Rats were better established--the whole Wyvern thing wasn't done very well or made much sense, and Mistle & Ciri should've had WAY more scenes. I wasn't feeling any chemistry between them, which is annoying, since Ciri's a lesbian in my TW3 game--is the show gonna go with hetero Ciri instead? Or is her love of Mistle gonna be what pulls Ciri out of the Fire/Chaos dark arc they're teasing for S4? 👀
Tumblr media Tumblr media
What's annoying is that we already had a Dark!Ciri arc in S2 though, and EVERYONE hated it. We see Yenn reconcile betraying Ciri, but where's Ciri reconciliation for slaughtering all those witchers at Kaer Morhen? 😡 First she's possessed by Voleth Mier, now she's possessed by Falka? This show's great at focusing on Yenn & the mages, but leaves Ciri in the same ditch over & over--it's irritating.
Ep5 was a LAME way to end the first half/"volume," I hated that episode. The whole ball just bored me, with the dancing and singing--I get it--"all is not *clap clap* as it seems," stfu already. I didn't care. It was OBVIOUS Stregebor was being framed; WTF was that mop on Istredd's head; WHY was Triss the only one with a braincell who cared that students were going missing when apparently the school's SO strict; why don't these mages start TELEPORTING for once, and stop running around SLOW AF; how the HECK did y'all let HUMAN Dijkstra jump a WHOLE SCHOOL OF MAGES--this is an utter embarrassment. Usually the mages are the only thing this show gets RIGHT, so to see them all faceplant like this was just baffling & frustrating.
Tumblr media
And again with the monoliths--how do y'all NOT KNOW these things are here!? Same with the one hidden in Kaer Morhen, like REALLY? NO ONE's medallion is going off? Omg. Istredd! You STUDY these things! Start TEACHING these drunk AF mages a thing or two--this is why Vilgefortz and Dijikstra wiped the floor with y'all on your own turf! 🤦
THE UGLY
The pacing was SLOW AF. Episodes 3-5 particularly dragged.
Everything with Cahir I wish was in S2 instead. That elf was GORGEOUS and I hated to see him go, but what was the point of all that again? I almost expected him & Cahir to start banging! (My perv brain; I need help, y'all. U_U)
Speaking of!
ALLLLLLL this mess about Dandelion & Radovid.
Tumblr media
What "ripple effects"? XD It was UNNECESSARY. We all know Radovid's a disgusting genocidal racist psychopath and Dandelion's a womanizing old man--I'm not interested in seeing Radovid going through all this effort to seduce Dandelion, just to DOUBLE CROSS him to get to Ciri, like wtF? TBH, I feel like we were queerbaited, yeah I said it. 😤
And it's SO unfair how we have alllll these sex scenes with naked women's vajayjays & boobs all over the place--even Philippa got in on the action, hey hey hey! ;) --but we never get to see man-on-man action!? Wow, they kissed, SO WHAT!? Men never get full frontal nudity and it ticks me off, cuz naked women are just all over TV, meanwhile the dudes don't show SQUAT, and it's happened AGAIN.
Tumblr media
Anyways, those are my only real complaints; otherwise I liked S3, it was much better than S2 IMO. Just don't expect too much--turn your brain off, and accept that this show doesn't gaf about Geralt (or even Ciri really) whatsoever. I'm here for Yennefer, Vilgefortz, and to see the Lodge of Sorceresses make themselves an absolute menace under Philippa so that Radovid literally flips his wig (that horrible weave MUST go in S4) and effs everything up for mages & non-humans.

The Talk: Leah Clearwater x Female!Reader Short
TrAshy Says: A wonderful, lovely nonnie asked for another Leah x reader. While this is shorter, I hope it still makes all you Leah lovers smile! This can be read as a second part to I Took A Chance.
~620 words.
Warning(s): A little saucy but mostly cute, I think.
_____
Leah leans against her car, watching you laugh and say goodbye to your friends ‘for real this time’. She loved seeing you like this, genuinely happy with seemingly zero worries, as if she hadn’t thrown you into a world you never would have dreamed existed. She’s smiling when you finally reach her, your head tilting slightly, questioningly.
“What?” “Nothing, you’re just really cute.”
She pushes herself off of the passenger side door before opening it, letting you climb inside and then making her way to the driver’s side to begin your journey to Emily’s. You chatter excitedly about getting to see everyone again, and Leah simultaneously listens and concentrates on the road. It had been a while, about four months or so, and although Leah still barely tolerated the guys at times, she was happy that you loved them all like family.
You practically sprint to the door when the car cruises to a stop, knocking lightly given that the shapeshifters inside had heard Leah pull up. She’s right behind you when Emily answers the door, and you both shed your coats before you’re engulfed in hugs. They hadn’t waited for you to begin eating, Leah notices, and she rolls her eyes as Emily gives her a half hearted smile. You both take a seat amongst the sea of bodies and open pizza boxes, you sitting on Leah’s lap.
The night goes smoothly until you offer to help Emily with the few dishes everyone has dirtied. All eyes focus on Leah as you slide out of her grasp and make your way to the small kitchen, a sly smirk gracing Paul’s lips before he speaks.
“So, the boys and I were wondering,” he starts off casually; Leah glances around, her eyes meeting several inquiring looks. “How do you two, you know, do it?”
Leah opens and closes her mouth a few times, the question taking her completely off guard. He did not just ask that.
“I’m sorry, what?” “How do you guys, or girls I guess, do it? We have some theories, but Jared and I are also betting that it hasn’t even happened yet.”
Leah clenches her fists to keep from phasing out of sheer embarrassment. It was somehow easier for her to conceal her thoughts -especially the ones about you- from the pack, but that didn’t mean... Just how prudish did they think she was? She looks up, her eyes finding you instantly. You’re drying a plate and laughing at something Emily said, and she hopes you’ll swoop in and rescue her from these idiots that are her pack mates.
“My little brother is sitting right there!”
Seth shrugs, “I’ve seen things. This doesn’t seem much different.”
Annoyed, Leah huffs. “I don’t see how it’s any of your business anyway!” “It’s just a question,” Jared interjects, snickering. “But because you’re getting so defensive, I think it really hasn’t happened.”
Leah’s trying not to spontaneously combust -or wolf out- when you reclaim your spot in her lap. Having you back in her arms physically calms her, but her mind is still going a mile a minute due to the brief conversation.
“So, Y/N,” Paul starts.
Leah passively considers murdering him.
“The boys and I were wondering-” “Yes, we do ‘do it’ and no, I’m not going to explain how. Google is free; if you’re so curious, look it up.”
You lean more into Leah’s embrace and press a kiss to the side of her neck. Though the wolves are pretty comfortable with each other and the affection shown to their imprints, Leah’s skin warms regardless. She misses the wolfish grin -pun intended- you shoot the group, burying her face in your hair as her arms reflexively tighten around you.

Me like "WOW THAT'S SO PRETTY, YUSUKE YOU'RE SO TALENTED" until we go to the art exhibition, which goes like
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
yusuke man psst hey uhhhh do you want a hand
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Next time, we FINALLY GET TO GO ON THE LAKE BOATS YESSSSSSSS /claps
Reverie has to row so Yusuke can focus on his sketching. He spots another set of people in an adjacent boat and pegs them as a blooming romantic couple and starts sketching them.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Y U S U K E!!!!!
lmao it turns out they are not a couple, they are brother and sister and are Max Embarrassed at being thought of as otherwise.
Tumblr media
We might need to get you a coach on the subject, are you any good at skating? There's this guy, Viktor Nikiforov who might be able to assist you.
Tumblr media
I mean I always feel anguish in a church so do you wanna try a portrait of me?
But Yusuke's latest idea is to sketch Jesus in anguish on the cross, and Reverie is gonna be his model.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
GOD, CAN'T HAVE SHIT IN DETROIT
also lmao i am so amused by how bossy Yusuke is, I am serious that I hope the fandom has had some kind of fun with this. Yusuke should boss Reverie around all the time imo.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The comedic timing on this moment is honestly great. Just that sad little pose while Yusuke watches, LMAO.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I mean holding this position is GONNA cause you so goddamn anguish, but it's also going to introduce you to what the sciatica is, boys, so maybe not, lol.
Tumblr media
Anyway a priest rolls up like "soooo wtf y'all doin'" and then explains to Yusuke the complexities of the crucifixion and how it wasn't just about pain, blah blah.
Another swing and miss for Yusuke. Honestly, cannot wait for what comes next with him.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Okay like this is obviously a joke, but also it's a sweet moment, because Yusuke is internalizing that the thing he was missing from the anguish of jesus (and BELIEVE ME, it hurts my heathen ass to type that with a straight face) was the hope behind the event. So he pulls the pose again as he says goodnight to Reverie as a sign of "I still have hope" and Reverie doing it back feels like him saying "Me too."
IT'S GREAT, I like Yusuke. I would pay cash money to hear these lines acted out by Mercer, lemme tell you.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Also I am still doing the Temperance arc because I just gotta know what the fuck is going on here. Kawakami keeps getting weird pushy late night phone calls about money and.... seems to be on the hook for her sister's medical bills? Which. Sounds sketch? Is this an adult sister or a younger sibling she's caring for? Why would debt collection be happening like this? Is she involved in shady shit or is she trying to make it sound like she is to garner sympathy (see: money) from Reverie?
I have no idea.
Tumblr media
There is this odd moment at the end where she drops her Perky Maid Act to show what seems like genuine concern. The mention of wanting Reverie to stay "healthy" leads me to believe that her sister really is sick, or she thinks her sister is sick?
I cannot believe that the Hot Teacher Who Is Also Maid is more compelling than some of my main party confidant arcs, but here we are.
THERE IS A FUNNY MOMENT RE: THIS where Ryuji drags Reverie out to go fishing at Ichigaya and Kawakami is there and is actually an extremely skilled fisher, and Reverie gets the option to refer to her as "Master" (as in a master fisherman)
Tumblr media
AND SHE JUST GIVES YOU A FUCKING LOOK.
like "bitch. I see you."
gdi i think I like Kawakami, what the fuck is this game.
Tumblr media
you're my what now
me, who removed Ryuji from the party as soon as Yusuke showed up and hasn't looked back: /sweats nervously
but yeah for real, Junpei and Yosuke you are not, Ryuji, sorry. If anyone is my right-hand, it's Ann. but really it's more like I am Morgana's right-hand, lets be SUPER REAL here.

Winning Favor - Jamil Viper x Reader
Have this WIP I’m never gonna finish. :3
Premise: Jamil is playing all sort of games--only one of them being mancala.
~~~~~
              The marbles clatter into the divots, the last landing in the pile that is my well. My opponent presses a knuckle to his lips, those dark eyes scanning the board. I know it’s a farce; from the beginning I’ve had this feeling that I’m being played. It doesn’t matter that I’m winning, he’s completely in control of this game.
              How would I know this? Well, because I may have a mild obsession with Jamil. I found some interest in him when we first met over the holiday break, but when he exposed his true self—someone with dreams and desires—I felt the magnetism. I wanted to see more of him that didn’t involve trying to strand me in the dessert and make a connection. And I did, finding someone I genuinely have an interest in.
              With a clack, the final marble falls into my well. The boy across from me folds his arms and sits back.
              “Looks like you win again,” he sighs. He catches my glare. “What?”
              My face is wiped clean of my suspicion. “Nothing. This game is closer than I expected.” Four at a time, the marbles fall back into separate divots.
              He hums his agreement, distributing those from his well. “Two each; this last one decides it.” A gesture signals from me to begin.
              Still scrutinizing my opponent’s choices, I make the first move. Glass gems fill the silence with their clacking, meanwhile, my thoughts are only half in the game—yet I’m still winning. With half the gems claimed by either side, I finally think it’s time to make a real move.
              “Why are you doing this?”
              Brows furrow together. “Doing what?”
              “I know you’re throwing this game.”
              The marbles fall into place. “Why would I throw a game?”
              “That’s what I wanna know.”
              My hand hovers over the board, but my focus lies elsewhere. Rather than take my next turn, I fold my arms and look him dead in the eye. My move puts apprehension on his face.
              “You only use your sly tricks to lose as a tactic to curry favor—when you’re after something.” It’s minute, but tension takes his muscles. “But what could you possibly stand to gain from me?”
              It’s miraculous how well he’s keeping his composure under accusation. “Bold of you to assume you have something I want.”
              “That’s what I would say, if it weren’t for this terrible charade you’re trying to woo me with.”
              There it is. It’s quick as a flash, nearly undetectable: his breath hitches in his chest.
              “Charade?” I repeat, trying to elicit the same reaction. No dice. “Woo?” Oh there it is again. “Woo?!” Despite being cornered, he holds on fairly well. Meanwhile, I’m losing my mind. “You’re trying to-Wha-Why?!”
              His straining composure breaks into a WTF expression. “What do you mean why?!”
              “Jamil! I-You-How-“ How the hell do I finish any of these train-wreck thoughts?
              The mask of complacency falls back into place, the only remnants being the slight embarrassment hidden in his tense face. “Look, forget it. Can we just finish our game?”
              My gaze drops down to the little wooden board. I don’t want to finish the game; I want to finish the conversation. Admittedly, it probably isn’t my best decision when I flip the game out of the way, scattering marbles everywhere.
              “Hey!”
              Lunging at the boy, I shove him to the floor and hold him down.
              “Wh-Get off me!”
              “What are you doing?!”
              “What am I doing?! What are you doing?!”
              My fists clench around his jacket. “Are you throwing a game as a means to flirt with me?!”
              His composure has yet to recover. “N-No!”
              “Don’t you dare lie to me.”
              My warning sinks in, his resistance faltering. For the first time since his overblot, there’s vulnerability in his expression.
              “I didn’t mean to.”
              That honesty grips my gut.
              “I don’t know what it is about you, but I want you all to myself—your attention, your gaze, your smile, all of it. I know it’s selfish and I know someone as amazing as you is better suited to Kalim, but I can’t help it.”
              I soak in his words, excitement simmering in my chest. “First off, don’t you ever imply that you are beneath anyone ever again. Got it?” His grey eyes just stare in shock. “Second, be selfish.”
              His mouth falls open. “What?”
              Quirking my lips is a smile. “Go on. Tell me what you want.”
              “I shouldn’t—’
              “No no no. Not what you should or shouldn’t do; what do you want to do?” Gentle fingers caress his face. “Just say it.”
              The tension in his entire body just melts beneath me in submission. “I want to go on a date with you.”
              Giggling, I let my thumbs run circles against his cheeks. “Ooo, a date. At the Monstro Lounge?”
              His composure returns. “Absolutely not.”
              “Fair enough,” I laugh. “I can’t wait.”
              He does not know what havoc that smile is wreaking on my heart. “Me too.”
(I went with Britcedes... I had to)
Lewis watches it all from a few steps behind.
He watches George cross the line in front of him, sees the Mercedes team scattered along the wall by the finish line, screaming and cheering. He expects to feel some sort of sadness or anger— like he should have pushed for team orders so he could win. But he doesn’t.
For the first time, he feels almost weightless. Like he doesn’t have to hold Mercedes up anymore, like if he were to retire now, he would leave with something more than the trophies. He would leave George to follow in his footsteps, to do what he’s done.
He waits to watch George pull up in Parc Ferme and watches George jump into the crowd of waiting Mercedes mechanics and team members. He remembers doing the same thing so many times and it’s… nice that George gets to have it now. The jealousy and remorse that usually floods his system when a teammate does well, it’s gone. Nothing comes to him except pride and… love. He thinks. Love.
He and George have been dating for half a year now and he’s known, since they first met, that George was his forever. Ten years ago he’d never have believed it, that he’d find someone and feel that way. But he’s less cynical now, worn down by the passing of time and a tall, lanky British boy— who is currently running towards him and pulling him into a tight hug.
“I’m so proud of you,” Lewis tries to say, but it’s muffled by the helmets and balaclavas and the roaring of the crowd.
“I love you,” George tries the same, but Lewis can’t hear it.
Lewis watches from the second step of the podium as George literally jumps with joy on the top step. He knows that when he sees the photos later, the smile from the second step will be a real, genuine, love-sick grin.
They go to take the photo and Lewis can’t get up to the top step, so he reaches for George’s waist, and tries to pull himself up. George stills from his celebration and peers down at Lewis to help him up and the world stops spinning for a few seconds when George’s gaze is on him and him alone. Everything drowns out around them and it’s just George. His beautiful, loving, hard-working George.
But then Carlos and James join them and he’s snapped out of it. George’s watery blue eyes turn back to the crowd and Lewis can take a breath again.
Lewis watches from the garage as George is swept up in interviews, everyone falling over themselves to talk to the winner. Lewis remembers what it feels like and it’s actually okay that they don’t want to talk to him. He’s okay to watch from next to Angela and just take it all in.
Lewis watches from the next seat over in the press conference. They ask him some stuff about Max, and with all of the celebrating, Lewis had almost forgotten that Max had crashed into him during the race. He says something that he can’t remember now, acutely attuned to every move George makes next to him. The way that he fiddles with his microphone, the stray confetti still clinging to him, how he’s champagne soaked, and dazzling.
And then finally, Lewis isn’t watching from afar anymore. No, he’s got George right in front of him, all his passion and focus and beauty only for Lewis now and it’s so overwhelming and perfect.
George looks up at him from the couch and gives a soft smile. Lewis is standing a few steps away, smoothing his racing suit half with anxiety, half with anticipation. He’s going to tell him.
George reaches out a hand, “Penny for your thoughts?”
“I think mine are worth at least a pound,” Lewis teases and flops down on the couch next to George.
“Why are you so far away?” George presses a kiss behind Lewis’ ear, “I won, don’t I deserve to have you on my lap?”
Lewis laughs and readjusts, straddling George’s lap and putting his hands on either side of George’s head on the back of the couch, caging them in, shutting out the outside world so that it’s just them.
“You didn’t tell me what you’re thinking about,” George pushes, and he always does, he pushes Lewis to be better, to say more, to feel more.
“Well,” Lewis presses a kiss to George’s nose, “I’m thinking about a few of things.”
He presses a kiss to George’s cheek, “I’m thinking about how my boyfriend won his first race in Formula 1.”
He presses a kiss to George’s other cheek, “I’m thinking about how I thought I would feel a bit upset that it wasn’t me but I don’t.”
George opens his mouth to interject but Lewis doesn’t let him. He presses a kiss to George’s lips, “and I’m thinking about the fact that I love you.”
Lewis feels George’s breath catch, and he tries not to look away, tries to show George that he’s not afraid of this, that they can do it.
“I-” George sniffs, “I love you too.”
And Lewis thought that George might not have any tears left in him after the win, but a few spill from his eyes. Lewis reaches up to wipe them away and kisses George’s eyes as they flutter closed.
“I’m so proud of you,” Lewis hugs him tighter, “And I’m so glad I was there to see it happen.”
“I wouldn’t have wanted it to happen any other way,” George wraps his arms around Lewis’ neck.
“You deserve it,” Lewis says into George’s hair. The gel is long gone from race sweat and champagne and now it’s soft, floppy, just the way that Lewis likes it.
“I wish that-” George starts but trails off.
“What, baby?”
“I wish that it was you.”
“No, you don’t.” Lewis smiles sadly.
“I do but I also don’t.” George sighs, “I wish we both could have won.”
“We did,” Lewis pulls back slightly and tilts George’s head up to look at him, “I feel like I won because you won.”
“Stop,” George blushes.
“I’m serious,” Lewis smoothes his thumb across George’s jaw, “I don’t feel anything other than happy for you.”
“I’m honoured that Sir Lewis Hamilton feels happy for me.” George teases.
“Jerk,” Lewis pokes his chest, “Here I am, pouring my heart out to you and you tease me!”
“I’m sorry,” George muffles Lewis’ protests with his lips, kissing him eager and steady.
“You’re not,” Lewis grins.
“I’m not.”
Lewis rolls his eyes and kisses down George’s neck, the taller man tilting his head back to give him more room.
“Mm you taste like champagne,” Lewis murmurs.
“God,” George groans, “I’m so lucky.”
Lewis responds by licking up the column of his neck, relishing in the vibrations he feels as George moans his name.
George’s hands fall to his hair and Lewis lets himself be overwhelmed by just being in George’s presence. His large, practiced hands urging him on, the feeling of George’s body against him, the smell of fuel, champagne and something that is just so perfectly George, it feels like home.
They fall into a rhythm and George is rolling his hips and he didn’t win but it feels like euphoria anyway.
And then Angela knocks on the door and Lewis groans frustratedly.
“I know what you’re doing in there!” Angela sing songs from the door, “But we have a debrief in 5 minutes.”
“Okay!” Lewis calls back tersely, and tries to resume his plan of letting his hands and lips across George’s body.
“Lewis,” George groans, partly from resignation that they are needed elsewhere, partly from Lewis’ lips against his naval.
“Don’t want to stop,” Lewis murmurs against his skin.
“We have to,” George sits up, putting an arm around Lewis so he doesn’t fall off of the couch.
“But we’re celebrating,” Lewis pouts.
“Come on,” George pushes him to his feet and follows suit, pulling Lewis in for one last kiss, “There will be plenty of time to celebrate properly later.”
“Fine, but I’m holding you to that.”
And he watches with a smile on his face as George walks out of the room towards his first ever F1 race win debrief.
I feel like Lewis has come so far as a person and a teammate and I just wanted to show this all from his perspective. No smut, I’ll leave that to the pros who I’m sure are writing it now or have written it. Hope you enjoyed <3
Prologue of "i would..." a phanfic, is finally out!
Phil has been around for way too long, and yet still manages to find himself surprised when his new dotting admirer becomes a close friend, a situationship, a relationship, a nothingship and a realization that throughout his long, long life, Dan has been the one thing to stick around the longest. As the years pass, Phil starts to realize Dan isn't just politely avoiding the vampire in the room, he might genuinely not know that his life partner is in fact, a full blown bloodsucking killer. As they gear up for their second move together, Phil starts to wonder if he should let his roommate know that "forever" might mean very different things to the two boys.
"i would..." a vampire slowburn phanfic ❤️
"Oh, can y'hear that? There's police cars going past, weird, anyway, I'll update you if I find out anything new," Phil reached towards the camera to turn it off with a chuckle, leaving his hand on the shutter button as he watched the police cars shoot by his window. He had counted up to 5 cars before finally letting go of the camera and exhaling another expression of amusement as they had missed him entirely, again.
It felt a bit like cheating, posting a video about such a genuinely traumatic incident for someone, if they had actually been a real person. Granted, the girl and the guy in the story were real, however he wasn't quite honest about whose girlfriend it was, and whose neck was bitten.
" Has anyone seen Taylor?" a concerned voice rang sharp through the EDM music that was rattling the 3 story flat, a short crop of hair wading towards the kitchen. "Lester!" Claire barked towards the quiet man standing near a bowl of chips, shooting his head up with a smile.
"Hi Claire, are y'having fun?" Phil replied quietly, dropping his expression when he noticed that the young woman in front of him wasn't matching his energy. "What's wrong?"
"I lost my girlfriend. Have you seen Taylor?" Claire replied with a frenzied look, her pupils blown wide.
"Uhh, she has a purple streak in her hair right? I might've seen her pass through the kitchen, here," Phil gently guided Claire to a glass of water and a chip out of the chip bowl. "I'll go look, be right back."
It was a clear October night and the last quarter moon was casting a dim light across the campus. There were bodies tangled in each other scattered between the Halloween decorations that filled the lawn. Out of the tangled bodies, most of them looked straight, and enjoying themselves, two criteria that didn't match his friend. He was looking for a short loudmouth with short black hair and angry black boots, a staple part of Taylor's outfit that she was never seen without.
He started to wander with a slight bit more urgency, pushing his way through crowds of young adults, all in varying stages of intoxicity and making it very hard for him to focus. He almost laughed at his overstimulation in the moment, recalling the new vampire movie that was coming out in a month, this running joke that vampires could hear thoughts, as if they were magic and not just cursed with sensitive hearing, making it incredibly hard to get away from the noise.
Yet sometimes, curses can move the plot forward.
Out of all the chatter, he managed to catch a small noise of frustration coming from the tree clearing behind him, a hidden space where people were typically found smoking. Instead, he found Taylor pinned to the ground by a shirtless guy with way too much hair on his back.
"Hey!" Phil shouted, shocking the guy into turning around. He was dripping with sweat, and his nose had a small ring of blood around one of the nostrils.
"Get lost pal, this is personal," the sweaty guy hissed as Taylor tried to break free again.
"She's my friend. It's already personal," Phil said in an almost casual voice, keeping the rage within his chest as he shifted his body against the man's, moving so fast that the man couldn't even get out a noise of confusion before Phil was already pinning his arms in the exact same position the man had Taylor's a second ago.
"Hey what the fuck dude, let me go, you're fucking disgusting," the man drunkenly shouted as Phil chuckled under his breath once, leaning down to force his lips to be inches away from the man's.
"I should turn you around and show you what power feels like. I should force you to adapt my dick to your airway. I should let you live, but there's a lady present. So I won't," Phil whispered against the man's lips, and instead continued to tilt his head down towards the weak man's neck, laughing again at the man's bulge that began to press against Phil's thigh as the man died, losing a gallon of blood in less than 8 seconds.
"Let's go, greedy, we've gotta go," Taylor whispered towards the long haired boy as she regathered her surroundings, throwing a rock towards him.
"I think 8 seconds is a new record. What's yours, 13 seconds or something?" Phil chuckled as he pulled his teeth away, accidentally taking a chunk out of the man's throat. "Oops. I hate when they've done drugs, makes them weak. The healthy ones are the best," he muttered as he kicked some leaves over the body, not necessarily hiding him but making him a little harder to find.
"Did you see my girlfriend?" Taylor asked Phil excitedly, pulling her shoes back on and buttoning her pants as she exited the clearing, motioning for Phil to mime the same. It had been the easiest routine for over a decade once university parties began to pick up in popularity. In 2008, you could blame anything on an animal. They had also found that pretending like they were a straight couple having some fun in a bush was the easiest way to avoid suspicion.
"I did, she looks very pretty tonight," Phil replied with a smile, not super sure what Taylor wanted him to say.
"Well I know that, did you notice that I called her my girlfriend?" Taylor asked incredulously.
"You've been dating for 2 months now? I thought you were girlfriends after the first week?" Phil replied.
"Well yeah but we hadn't actually said it, were we that obvious?" Taylor pressed as they finally made it back to the house, finding Claire roughly where Phil had left her. "Hi baby. Do you wanna get out of here? Movie night?"  Taylor asked Claire with a kiss as Claire gripped her a little bit tighter. "You okay?"
"I just had a horrible feeling about something. We should get out of here, yeah," Claire replied, looking around nervously and grabbing her girlfriend's hand and the hand of the cause of her anxiety, leading them both back to her dorm on campus where they had a peaceful night of watching bad Dracula knock offs that Claire had found at a Walmart.
As Phil posted his forty second video to the relatively new platform, youtube.com, he received a comment nearly immediately from an account he quickly recognized. It was a brown haired twink who had been following him around the internet for a little while now, an endearing name to see after a long night of digesting.
oMG how scary!! so glad ur safe tho!! xDD
opinions on the Geats cast now and what are your hopes for the endgame.
I just think they are neat
I love trickster characters who occasionally even fool themselves with their own trickeries. Lies upon lies upon lies. Ace was lying to his fellow constentants, the DGP, his real family too probably, and to himself. He'd try to keep the others at arms' length and act flippant, but still fundamentally a good person. And he really is losing it - both with having let them get too close to him, and just everything unraveling around him. I love him so much. And he's still ready to do anything because all these lives of his, he went through so many things just to find her mother - and he'd do anything to get her back. Anything to free her.
Keiwa is... I understand a kids' show needs comic relief, but I'm just tired of it always being Keiwa, and always after he just seemed to hit some kind of treshold in his character development. But god, I love him. He's just a Good Boy. I love a Good Boy. I want him to break down and snap and and go on a rampage before calming down. He earned it. Pop off babyboy.
Neon is just such a good one, and probably my favourite female rider I had seen so far. The escapism, the depression, the identity issues inherent from finding out you were created for one reason, one reason you don't seem to fulfill anymore. Wanting to disappear. I love her so much and I wish I could hug her.
Michinaga. SIGH. My love for Michinaga is pretty well-documented at this point. I love vengeance-driven assholes. He will set himself on fire to make the world burn, and I love him so much for it. He's destructive and angry, and probably also lies to himself that he doesn't care about anyone else, there are no Kamen Riders, and even there are some vaguely Better(tm) ones, he is too far gone at this point. And still, he wasn't murdering them when he did his culling. I love him.
I love Tsumuri so much and I am so happy she is getting more focus and development now. I love her and I need her to be on my screen More.
Win is my babygirl and I love him dearly. He's just so fucking fun. I missed him so badly.
I miss Sae, and I wish she would have stuck around longer. She was neat.
I am one of the four people who enjoy Daichi's nonsense, lmao. He's so pathetic and horrible! He thinks he is in Death Note! He is so horrible! I love him dearly. It was also funny when he went through Lamentation with basically only chewing on popcorn to watch the drama and did nothing else. I wish he would have done more horrible things - well there is still time.
Sara is sweet. I don't have anything else to say about her. I hope she gets a Buckle, even if not on the show, then in a vcine or something.
Girori was a fun initial villain. Chirami was funny as fuck. Suel is amazing if he really is gonna be the final boss and I hope he NEVER stops being anything else but a floating outfit.
I love the disaster sponsor gang. I love Ziin and his mess. He's a total mess, but I love how he became steadfast, and didn't even turn his back on Ace even though Ace wants to destroy his beloved DGP. I love his character development. He is a disaster blue fox and I love him.
I love Kyuun. I love how he's a socially awkward mess, who always puts his foot into his mouth most the time, and struggling to be genuine. I miss him. Dumb lion boy.
I don't know why people are shocked about Kekera, lol. He looks like a yakuza, dresses like a yakuza, talks like a yakuza, why are people shocked when he started to act like a yakuza too? Of course he will do messy shit to put his blorbo into sitations! And I love him.
Once again I am one of the five people who actually love Beroba, and the vicious violent hatred against her in the tags is highkey making me uncomfortable. My horrible daughter who did everything wrong, and I hope she never gets redeemed. She's just such a delightful and fun villain. I love her so much. One day I will write a character study about her, I swear to god.
Niram sexy. I thought he might have more to do but I really love him, I love the air he gives off, I loved the few times he transformed and his fighting style. That's it. Bit bummed it seems like he won't be the final boss, but Suel will do fine. Niram can just stand there and look sexy.
Samas seems like a girlboss, but I don't know enough about her to really care.
Endgame...
The DGP has to burn. Mitsume will probably die, and the most Ace will get out of her was either a final powerup, or a hug, or both, and not much else. I wouldn't be surprised if she'd die before the end of the show either, with Suel forcing Tsumuri into her role.
(Can you imagine? Suel laughing about "want me too free your mother? sure!" and Mitsume's statue is falling apart, while Tsumuri is screaming and taking her place? It'd be so cruel and I could totally imagine it.)
I want all of them to have one more powerup. I want Keiwa to snap, go on a bit of a rampage, before circling back. I want Neon, Ace and Michinaga all realize they are... not alone anymore. They can lean on each other now.
I want them to henshin side by side, the four of them, for the final battle - just like the Doctor Riders went to face off Chronus at the end of Ex-Aid. Just like the four riders walked up to Evolt before the final fights of Build. I want them to be an united front for the first time, all of them reaching the conclusion that the DGP has to go. (Keiwa and Neon has a bit more development to go through before that, of course. But in the end.)
I wish we would see the four of them remember.
I want the four of them to remember, and being together in the end (well. you know. obviously not Together Together on my screen, but like, in each others' orbit).
I don't find it unlikely that they'd maybe. Forget. Because the story would end with a hard reset, erasing the DGP. I'm not sure if Ace would or not - I wouldn't be surprised if the show would be mean and let Ace be the only one who remembers. WHICH WOULD BE EVEN WORSE THAN BUILD. AT LEAST SENTO HAD BANJOU. AAAARGH.
I know vcines and other movies would fix it, but I AM STILL TERRIFIED OF IT. I would need to write so much about it.
Anyway I want them to fight together, the DGP to fuck back off into the future (Beroba maybe dragged back, to maybe, you know, be a vcine or special villain later on), and then possibly either being in each others' orbit in the end, or at least looking for each other.
I think it'd be funny if all of them would forget (Ace actually being granted the mercy of forgetting would be nice), and yet STILL would end up around each other. Drawn together. But that's definitely just wistful thinking from me.
