Dragonfish Reloaded

I continue the story of the WaterFireGod, for part 1 click here

EDIT the link should work now - First Part was on 1. April, named "The WaterFireGod, Story + Screenshots". Sry for the mess!

(1) Remember the gate, where the humanoid aliens came through?:

(2) It changed a lot after them humanoids arived -

(3) The second invasion started at dawn. It all happened very fast:

Some very mighty guards came through the gate...

(4) ...and them tiny fragile blossoms, that arrived earlier with the humanoids, grew within seconds into all kinds of - plants?! :

(5) At the same time, a second gate opened…

(6) … spitting out some more "visitors"…

(7) … all kinds of pretty agressive fellas!

(8) The whole garden of our little unnamed sim changed into a nightmare.

Well, he called them, and they came, right?

(9) They forced him to sit down and stay put on an alienesh-crystal-stone-stool-thingy…

(10) …and startet talking…

(11) … to their GOD! The WaterFireGod. Our well known dragonfish.

(12) Then they told our little unnamed sim, that they will return to their home planet through that portal, together with their god...

(13) … right after they solved this kind-a-tricky problem, that they just learned about from the little fish - sry, your highness, of course -

(14) Turns out, unfortunatly they can not just kill the sim, and leave with their god, as they intended…

(15) … because their god can not survive without our little unnamed sim, due to the bond that exists between them. This bond must be broken of course. Or else!

(16) (Moment of akward silence)

(17) They startet negotiating. Meanwhile it was bright daylight.

(18) They discussed during the whole day…

(19) …and also the whole next night.

(20) It turned out, there is more to the good old dragonfish than we ever imagined:

When he spits fire unterwater, while living with a sim that he has a very special bond with, the fire sinks down on the ground, and turnes into gold.

And you know what they say about dragons… they protect treasure.

Next time I will tell you:

What kind of bond the sim + the dragonfish do have,

what the sim is doing with all this gold?!,

and what the "Fisch des Grauens*" has to do with all that

ITS YOUR TURN NOW!

I want you to have the option to influence the story. You can choose 1 of these 3 options, what you want me to put into the story next:

No 1 - Someone will die

OR

No 2 - No one will die

OR

No 3 - Something will happen that has to do with owls.

Just write it into the comments until the End of April, then we will wrap it up and count the voices for 1/2/3!

* Please someone tell me how this fish is called in English, I couldn´t figure that out! (the dark-greenish fella living in the ponds of graveyards, killing all other fishes, and that can be used for prolonging live) - Or maybe I´ll just make up a new name for it :-D , you can recognize it anyway by the pictures I will take then.

Thank you, Murfeel! Love your stuff since I played the first time with the telvanni-village, and that was on my old computer (meanwhile, this computer I´m using now is pretty old).

I will also continue the 10-things-challange, weeks ago I already picked the items for the next round - but at the moment, I want to finish that alien-story first!

And yes, I still have to finish the sorting of my mod-collection. That has highest priority, not just because I want to continue playing, but also because of this 10-things-challange I started. For both I need a well-sorted, richly filled mod-folder (lol).

Well. The last weekend I spend downloading nearly everything that Murfeel ever published :-D ! Just the sorting of this murfeel-collection alone will take a week, or two, or whatever it takes :-D.

I started yesterday evening with the Letter A. Today I will do the B… like in "babysteps". Like in "Baby Yoda as Teddybear", that is the first mod beginning with a "B" in my murfeel-folder.

Just imagine, this green little fella, how well he would have fit in my alien-story, if I would have known this mod a week before.

Oh NO now I need to do the tagging. I still have NO clue how that really works here on tumblr, although I always watch you other simmers out there, and try to get it.

EA Kelp as Edible Raw Meat for Vampires (Nona Dried Food Mod REQUIRED)

If you use the Nraas Hybrid mod to make mermaid-vampire sims, it's a headache getting them to eat a effing thing that's not plasma-based. So I took EA's Kelp mesh and slapped Nona's script on it, to make it "raw food" that can fill a vampire's Thirst need. (I HIGHLY recommend also using Nona's other raw foods--there's a nice juicy fish vamps can eat, which I used in my IWTV post here.)

Severinka Hippocampus as IP EP Jetski (IP EP REQUIRED)

(The harness mesh was shamelessly ripped/reshaped from Mermaidia's Seahorse Taxi. I didn't place the handles as well as I probably should have, but oh frikkin well.) I was too lazy to make this fully recolorable (you can kinda sorta recolor it, since I put the textures in the Multiplier not the Overlay)--but it does come in 4 color variations:

TheVintageSim Fringe Hammock REDONE (Functional Loveseat)

I've been wanting this decor hammock as a functional loveseat for frikkin ever. This gameplay gave me the perfect excuse to bite the bullet and make it. The mesh is rescaled to fit EA loveseats. Fully recolorable, comes in multiple variations, like the original.

Pocci's Jellyfish

I was so jealous that Pocci remade their TS3 Jellyfish ceiling lights for TS4 without the obnoxious strings dangling from the ceiling, so I went and made their Jellyfish 01 & 02 stringless myself. Then I made the Jellyfish as a Teddy Bear. The clipping & joints aren't great, but it works and I'm tired.

Venus Girdle Inspired Table Light

It's amazing, the kind of IRL deep-sea critters you learn about, just by reading mermaid fanfiction.

Wall Mosaics 1x5

They come in a bunch of variations. Two are based on IRL portions of the Madaba Map, for no good reason, other than I just needed a medievalesque mosaic map #ForReasons.

Ivy as Ceiling Light

I made sure there were no backfaces on the ivy mesh, so you could still see inside the lot from a bird's eye view. (I used these with the TW3 Bulb Lights I converted here.)

Simszoo Tree REDONE (RECOLORABLE as Outdoor Light)

I made this tree recolorable and an outfoor light--I wish I knew how to make only the leaves glowe, not the whole frikkin trunk. Ah well.

Pocci Sakura Vase REDONE (Translucent)

All I did was change the texture of the flowers so they were crystal/see-through.

BG3 INSP: Spare the Illithid, Spoil the Flood Tide - Pt2

After being thoroughly scolded by the goddess Umberlee, Allandra made her way back to the Mind Flayer she had unwisely rescued. Although it was a charismatic & smooth talker, Allandra refused to be swayed! In Umberlee's name, she smote the Illithid where it stood. She drowned out any lingering waves of guilt and returned to her mother, whose approval over her having safeguarded all merfolk from Illithid influence brought Allandra much-needed comfort.

BG3 INSP: Spare the Illithid, Spoil the Flood Tide - Pt1

Allandra Grey, the Flood Tide (high priestess) of the sea goddess Umberlee, had made a grave mistake once as a youth. She had never seen a Mind Flayer in the flesh before, so when one just so happened to be marooned in her seas, she thought nothing of bringing the creature safely to shore. She had quite the fondness for tentacles, after all. Umberlee, however, was furious, ordering her daughter to quickly dispatch the Mind Flayer she was sheltering, lest the Illithid scourge spread through their domain!

Just wanted to point out a few things:

Child ACCs

Yuu already made bunny ears for older sims, but I struggled to find anything for kids, so I just converted theirs. There are 3 versions so you can have the Yuu Ears + EA Tail both separately, or merged together as 1 ACC. The Toddler version only has the merged ACC.

Emysims Plush Bunny Toddler Socks REDONE as Shoes

Cuz Emysims' links are all dead, I reconverted their Bunny Sock ACCs (after lowering the egregiously high polys), making them Shoes for Toddlers instead.

Cyberpunk 2077 Bunny Backpack ACC

This stupid thing has TRASH joint assignments, so the arms stretch when sims bend over, and the straps clip terribly, but oh frikkin well.

Bunny & Cloud Rugs

I just lumped a bunch of different ones together, tweaking the colors on a few that didn't match the aesthetique(TM).

Fox ACCs

And as a bonus, I threw in the Fox Ears & Tail ACCs, for all of your huli-jing or kitsune needs! (Garters are found after Socks, so just keep scrolling down.)

CQL/MDZS INSP Kemonomimi AU: Dinner & Dessert

CAPTIONS AS TEXT

- Wei WuXian gathered his children, "Time for dinner!" Lan SiZhui pouted a bit, wanting to play with toys longer. "Cheer up, Radish; afterwards you can play all you want until bedtime, promise!" - Once downstairs, A-Yuan became increasingly restless when he saw his Papa, demanding to be carried by his dragon father. - "Lan Zhan, take A-Yuan, ok? I'll start dinner!" - "Mn. I will feed the baby, then." - In the kitchen, WWX prepared several meals, suited to each of their unique appetites: vegan tofu and veggies for LWJ, carrot soup and mushrooms for LSZ, and super spicy firecracker shrimp for WWX. - LWJ gave AY a bottle after being roundly defeated by a messy baby who insisted on eating with his hands. - Delicious! - LWJ offered to make dessert, since WWX had worked so hard on dinner. - Carrot cake! Maybe their fussy baby would let LWJ spoon-feed him this time? - Success! - After dessert, LSZ asked to be excused, so he could go back to playing with his toys. WWX laughed, "Ah, like father like son!" Maybe you'll be a gamer like me one day!

Because LWJ missed so much of AY's infancy/childhood while in his coma/"seclusion", and WWX missed so much of LSZ's childhood/adolescence, I wanted my sims to swap roles and bond more with their kids here.

I nearly fell over in my seat at how ADORABLE the spoon-feeding was from the More Toddler Interactions mod. 😍

A-Yuan's a brat and REFUSED to eat the bowl of "Mud," or accept the Toddler Food at the high chair. He just made a mess. But maybe he just wasn't hungry enough, cuz later that night he happily ate the Toddler Food at the Activity Table.

Kids get on my dang nerves. Thank goodness they're cute! 😅

Color Difference in Gimp vs Tumblr

I am a doofus, y'all.

So, ever since I got this new PC back in January, I've been confused as to why my pics look one way on my PC, and totally different on Tumblr.

This has been REALLY bugging me, for MONTHS.

I thought it was a problem with this PC, cuz the colors are a tad sharper on my other PC.

But it LITERALLY JUST dawned on me:

The Save Color Profile box is auto-checked--UNCHECK this effing thing! (Imma need to find a plugin to keep this box from checking every frikkin time I save a picture, this sucks.)

My life has been a LIIIIIIIEEEEEE~! 😭

Especially cuz the images look FINE in File Explorer, too! Both the bad version (s2b) AND the good version I just figured out how to fix (s2c)!

I'm literally gonna have to re-save AND reupload every frikkin picture I've posted since January, omfg. 🤦

CQL/MDZS INSP Kemonomimi AU: Rise and Shine! (V2)

CAPTIONS AS TEXT

- One morning in Pagoda Isles…. - As usual, Lan WangJi rises promptly before dawn, to start his daily routine. - Ah, refreshing yoga and meditation! - LWJ's oldest son, Lan SiZhui, is a dutiful child; who wakes early and is dressed and ready for another day at school. LWJ tells LSZ that his breakfast is warm and waiting for him. And his baba packed his school lunch last night. - LWJ's husband, Wei WuXian, is not a morning person by any means, and eventually claws his way out of bed, looking for kisses from his Cultivation Partner and their children. "Where are my little radishes~?" - After LSZ finishes his breakfast, he goes upstairs to wait for the school bus. - LWJ looks around his sons' bedroom--especially LSZ's unmade bed--and sighs. He knows he should make the boy clean up his own mess, but he's weak and proud of it! - WWX and LSZ bond over a few rounds of video games, before the school bus horn finally sounds downstairs. - LSZ kisses his parents and baby brother goodbye, and rushes to the bus to begin a new adventure for the day. "Bye Baba! Bye Papa!" Baba WWX calls out, "Have a good day at school, Radish!" Papa LWJ says "Mn. Be good for your teachers, Baobei." - WWX needs to get to work soon, so LWJ takes their baby boy A-Yuan downstairs with him to his music room. - The sound of AY giggling as he bashes away at his xylophone is music to LWJ's ears. - Meanwhile, WWX enters his studio. He'd warmed up with his son, but now he was ready to CRUSH it. His title as a professional competitive gamer and streamer depended on it! - "Welcome to my channel, this is the Yiling Laozu! Get Good, or die trying!" - Over-reactor streamer! Work hard, and play harder!

I've been veeeeery slowly working on this gameplay alongside my regular Untamed/MDZS gameplay. There's a billion WangXian fanfics/fanarts with dragon!LWJ, huli-jing!WWX, or bunny!LSZ/AY, so I kinda blended those AUs together--don't ask how a dragon and a fox create rabbit children--when you've Cultivated to immortality, anything's possible! 😅

I also wanted A-Yuan & Lan Sizhui to be 2 separate kids, so I could play with different ages. I've teased LSZ in my other MDZS posts/preview pics, but this is the first time I've shown him and A-Yuan.

In my Kemonomimi/Modern AU, WangXian left Shang Simla to live in Pagoda Isles with their kids. LWJ is a world famous concert pianist & qin player; and WWX's a full-time videogame streamer.

IWTV 2022 INSP - The Odyssey of Recollection

Daniel: Yeah, you know, I gotta say, it's not so much the minute details, Louis; rather the total rewrite that's giving me pause here! (Recorder, 1973!Louis): [Lestat] was a sow's ear, out of which nothing fine could be made. I was his complete superior, and I had been sadly cheated in having him for a teacher. (Recorder, 2022!Louis): It was a cold winter that year, and Lestat was my coal fire. And I found myself, for the very first time... confiding my struggles to another man. (Recorder, 1973!Louis): He appeared frail and stupid to me, a man made of dried twigs with a thin, carping voice. (Recorder, 2022!Louis): I never allowed myself to feel emotionally close to anyone, much less a man. Lestat had surrounded me. Louis: The version we speak of now is the more nuanced portrait. Daniel: Mmhm. Or the more rehearsed. It's the abused-abuser psychological relationship I'm talking about! Louis: I do not consider myself abused. Daniel: I mean, usually when you're a little too close to it, the abused still loves the abuser--but you flipped it completely on its head! Louis: I'm not a victim. Daniel: 50 years later, you talk like he was your soulmate! Like you were locked in some f**ked up gothic romance! Why? Another contribution to @iwtvfanevents' Vampterview/Rewind the Tape rewatch of IWTV Season 1! \(^0^)/

This time I picked one of the most mind-blowing scenes in Ep3, where Louis shows off that he has the Fire Gift. I've talked about this at length, as it's all wrapped up in the changes AMC's making with how strong Louis really is; where we even are in the books' timeline; and building hype for his most iconic book/film scene when he sets the Theatre of Vampires on fire.

But the scene's also important for highlighting the main theme of the show: Memory is a monster--as BOTH Louis AND Daniel struggle to piece together the missing events/memories in their long lives. "Truth and reconciliation."

IWTV 2022 INSP - The Most Dangerous Man in the World

Daniel: I told my editor I was meeting with the most dangerous man in the world. Gave him two choices. He came back with Bezos and Putin! Louis: I wasn't sure you'd remembered me. Your book makes no mention of our prior meeting. Daniel: Gritty memoir, drugs, humiliation, self-pity kind of thing. Mention vampires in one of those, readers tend to call bulls***. You've got your own hangar at the airport, privileges on the Royal Meydan Bridge, and zero presence online. I know the Emirates are big on privacy, and that's probably important to you, but I gotta ask: what does it cost, this haven't-aged-in-half-a-century, killer views in all directions anonymity? Louis: Quite a lot. I have to be very careful whom I let in. Daniel: Yeah, well, things didn't end well the last time, so forgive me if I'm a little nervous! Louis: Back in San Francisco, you said, and I paraphrase, "Give it to me. Make me a vampire now." Daniel: In the eyes of a 20-year-old, you were wasting the gift. Louis: You're in your 20s, Rashid. What do you think? Rashid: Well, Mr. du Lac presides in the most desired real estate in the country. I do not see the "waste" Mr. Molloy sees. Daniel: Yeah, well, he lived in a dump the last time we did this. Louis: I'd give it to you now.

My contribution to @iwtvfanevents' Vampterview rewatch of IWTV Season 1! \(^0^)/ I basically rebuilt Loumand's Dubai Penthouse from scratch, cuz in my other post it was on the same lot as Loustat's 1132 townhouse. 🤭 And I decided to remake my Daniel & Rashid/Armand sims, cuz I was too lazy to crack open my old saves and save a copy of them to my bin. So...yeah, "a do-over," in Daniel's words. XD

I just love thinking about Louis' strange life as a billionaire mogul, and how AMC's nodding to the life he had with Armand in Miami & NYC in the books, and the life he now has with "Rashid" in Dubai. I have many suspicions about what went down to bring Loumand to Dubai, and where in the books' timeline we even are. I need answers, Rolin!!!!

I used an old AF 4GB Windows Vista HP with a generic integrated chipset graphics card from 2009-2017 and it worked fine. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ (I did use external harddrives for storage, and an FPS Limiter so the game wouldn't crash--100% tell them to get the Smooth Patch at MTS btw). IDEK what my old processor was, but it was a 2009 pc, so…? I never understood people who said TS3 can't run on dionsaurs/potatoes. Granted, 8GB is much better, and ofc 16GB is sooo nice. 😭👌 But I can confirm that 4GB def runs TS3, bare minimum, even with several EPs and CC installed.

Hi guys.

I have a friend who wants to get into Sims 3. But he doesn't have anything to play on sadly. He has very little money and will have to buy a used laptop.

My question is, what is the bare minimum, and here I'm not talking about what was suggested as the specifications when Sims 3 was made, cause we all know aint no way Sims 3 with mods will run on a machine with that low specs. Sadly. I have a gaming desktop myself, but he wont have money for neither gaming desktop or laptop. So I'm a little lost on how to guide him.

He does want to play with mods, but no HQ mod, and not an insane mods folder of 30+ GB as some of us sometimes do :disguised_face:

I wouldn't go under 8GB ram, but I'm really lost when it comes to graphics and processor. So my question is, for those of you who run the game on slightly older potatoes, what are your specifications and what is your game settings on? And how well does you game run/How well does your machine cope with the game?

@staff please see to it that @pitheinfinite gets their account restored! It's really frustrating and disheartening when y'all encourage us to make accounts and practically LIVE 24/7 on social media, then don't even bother giving us eviction notices when you yank access to our accounts away! Especially when y'all KNOW your Flagging system is iffy at best; people abuse DMCAs left and right with no due diligence on y'all's part to even see if claims are legit; and even using certain tags can land people in hot water. Like seriously. We WANT to be here--please stop making it hard to like this website.

Help Me Take My Account Back

Hi, this is Pi, Pitheinfinite, the founder of @pis3update and @pis3story & the joint founder of ts3creatorscave.

About a month ago, my original account got suspended by tumblr with no reason provided. I followed the protocol and filed my complaint but my patience got no reward. No response. Nothing At All.

It's time to take some real actions I think. Please help me by urging @staff to give my account back. Even though I've been on hiatus for quite some time and still don't have much time for the game or the community at the moment, I want to keep the place I've built for years, knowing that I always have a home here to go to.

Besides, my story sideblog pis3story, unlike pis3update, has only one member/admin, and will go down with my original account.

Please help me. Reblog this post and tag the staff, asking them to make things right. It's those porn zombie that they should go after, not the long term users. Thank you💜
