Not the Soft (Ame Writes)
Guys I swear this isn't the soft I promised-- I wrote. A Ghost. As part of the @tmntaucompetition and as a way to cope with @somerandomdudelmao's absolutely devastating last update to their apocalypse series. Cause it sat in my head a little too long.
It is sad. Sorry. <3
Once more, Ghost was somewhere he didn’t want to be. Another portal to fall through, another swarm of alternate versions. It was different this time. More of them were kids, they weren’t all from the boys’ realities. He’d even seen a few from his own. He avoided them now, like the plague. He couldn’t stand to be near them, couldn’t stand to see them happy like that. It hurt too much.
He saw a few he recognized from the last interdimensional competition. The grown up Mikey who handed Leo a bat was familiar. The kids with the actual ghost were familiar. The older Leo and little Leo both missing arms and passing out water bottles were familiar. The computer Donnie was familiar, but he didn’t want to think about what had led to that, just as he didn’t want to think of it last time.
It wasn’t a shock when he spotted the next familiar group. He recognized them the easiest from their robot Raph, but he almost didn’t. Their demeanor was so different from when he’d last seen them, cheering Tello on.
Just one look over them and he knew.
Grief was so easy for him to see now. As much as they were trying to hide it, to brush it off to people who asked, he could see it in their eyes, in their shoulders. They were so different.
The first thing he felt was an unbelievable loss.
It felt like just last month he’d held Tello’s hand and smiled at the crowd. Hugged him once they’d escaped prying eyes. Told him to be better than Ghost had been.
His grown son from another dimension, one who didn’t even know him, was dead.
It hit him like a knife, a wet thud into his heart. Some part of him screamed in his head, drowning out all the other noise, all the other turtles but the three that had been left behind. He felt the desperate urge to find his own Donnie, to check that he was breathing to hear his heartbeat, to listen to his voice, feel his hands in his own.
Ghost swallowed it. Swallowed the grief that was seeing his child dead, even in another world, in another dimension, another time. Swallowed the scream. Swallowed the urge to ground himself with Donnie. He didn’t want to scare him.
He didn’t want to scare any of them, yet there he was, just watching the three turtles and their human companions.
He couldn’t bring himself to approach them. It felt unfair. It felt like he was seeing something he wasn’t supposed to be seeing; a version of his family after they’d lost their Donatello. He felt like he didn’t deserve this, like this was some window into what had happened after he’d disappeared. Like he was intruding.
They had lost their Donatello, and he was a Donatello who was lost.
Promise me you won’t let anything happen to them.
I guess that’s just what we do.
He’d been so caught up in telling Tello to take care of his family he’d forgotten the most important part of the whole thing.
Take care of yourself.
Guilt crashed through him. Guilt on his own behalf, guilt on Tello’s. He wasn’t responsible for every Donatello in every version of themselves, but sometimes it felt like he was the cause of it all. Like he was the first, the one who had doomed every Donatello to a fate of being lost, to a fate of failing to protect their family.
He added another soul to grieve on his shoulders. Another photograph he couldn’t have. Another life he couldn’t speak of.
He meant to walk away, but Leonardo spotted him across the arena. Recognition made him perk up for a moment, and then his expression fell as he saw the knowing look in Ghost’s eyes.
Ghost took a breath. They met in the middle.
It was like fitting a piece into a puzzle where the picture didn’t match.
He didn’t know what else to do but murmur a soft, “I’m so sorry.”
He was apologizing for so much more than just the loss of Tello. He was apologizing to them and his own brothers. To every version of them that Donatello had failed.
Then Mikey gave him a worried look, and it felt all so unfair again. Some part of himself that made him ill wanted to know how Tello died, what they’d done to prevent it, what hadn’t worked. He wanted to know how they were holding up, what they were doing without Tello, how they were functioning, if they were functioning at all.
He squashed the selfish part of himself, the part that wanted to know if his family could have felt the same ways. These were a version of his kids, and here he was with the urge to interrogate them about their brother’s death.
Ghost swallowed it. Mikey still gave him a sad smile.
“He was with us,” Mikey said softly. “In our arms. He went peacefully, in his sleep.”
Ghost’s expression twisted from the flat gaze he’d managed to hold. God, that was his son saying that. That was his son that had died. Not them exactly, but enough like them that it felt like he was being told his children had died in a war that he wasn’t allowed to be a part of.
He couldn’t even cry for them. It felt unfair to be so upset, to be so ruined over a Donatello that wasn’t even his.
He swallowed it.
“He loved you all so much,” Ghost whispered. Even that felt unfair to say, but he knew, and he needed them to know. He needed them to know.
“We know,” Leo replied. He touched the hilt of the sword at his waist, running a shock of purple fabric through his fingers.
Ghost took a breath. It felt like he had to force himself to breathe, like he had forgotten how. Instinctively, he signed, circling his fist over his chest in an apology, thinking they were the same as his kids, that they could read sign language somehow.
He pressed his hand over his chest and got control of his breathing again. Found his voice. “That’s good.”
He hoped the depth of it all didn’t show on his face. He was trying to keep his expression as flat as possible, but it felt like he’d lost someone important. He wasn’t great at dealing with that.
Obviously. He’d been grieving for 24 years.
“I’ll see you guys around,” Ghost whispered, bowing his head slightly. A small, polite gesture he picked up from his own father.
He turned and walked away.
He couldn’t bring them anything but more grief.
There was no solace in his words he could offer, no pain he could lessen with his presence.
He was the wrong missing piece.
He couldn’t fill their void just like they couldn’t fill his.
His son was dead.
His brothers were gone.
The world was ending but continuing on.
He swallowed it and pulled his hood up.

Tumblr media
“Are you fucking crazy,” Maeve snapped as she stood in front of Ashley with her arms across her chest. Her face hardened as soon as Ashley said those stupid words. Maeve could feel the blood inside her start to boil and she had to refuse to punch her in the face.
“I’m sorry this is just what The Seven needs their first lesbian-,” Ashley began to say.
“Bisexual,” Maeve interrupted with a glare in her eyes.
“Bisexual superhero in The Seven and in a relationship with another woman. The world will love this, it will bring a whole new meaning to girl power,” Ashley ranted as her face was filled with excitement.
“I’m sorry I’ve done this shit already with Homelander why would I want to do this again,” Maeve questioned as the word ‘Homelander’ came out her mouth, er stomach was burning with vile and chest filled of vitriol towards the man who thinks he’s the best thing to ever be conceived.
“This will be different, this girl isn’t like Homelander, she’s actually not murderous and she won’t cause as much drama as him,” Ashley defended the idea she came up with.
Maeve sighed as she stood in Ashley's office, she didn’t know what to do, she hasn’t been with a girl since Elena, and yeah she’s had lots of sex with guys but girls are different. She had such a strong bond with Elena and she didn’t know if she could do it over again with this girl Ashley was talking about.
Not to mention that Homelander is a jealous prick even though Maeve and him aren’t together, he’ll cause her life a living hell and this girl as well. Maeve didn’t know if she could bring this random superhero into this already heated up drama.
“You know what Homelander is like,” Maeve muttered knowing that he could be listening at any moment and barge through the door. “You know what he might do to this girl and you want to bring her into this,” She questions.
“Trust me he won’t do anything,” Ashley reassured Maeve. “And plus I think this girl can handle her own,” She says.
“Who is the girl anyway,” Maeve asked, as she was piqued with curiosity. There weren’t many openly gay superheroes and she doesn’t have enough willpower to recognize all of them or she just wasn’t interested.
“Oh it’s The Traveler,” Ashley whispered and Maeve nodded. She’s heard of you, of course, you were one of the few lesbian superpowers. She knows that you can travel between time and make portals to travel place to place.
Suddenly there was a knock on the door and Maeve's head snapped towards the direction and Ashley said, “Come in,” and you came through the door.
You walked through the door and Maeve couldn’t deny that you were a beautiful woman. You were dressed in your superhero costume, a black skirt and a black leotard for a top and leather jacket to cover it. There were purple gems glittering all over your outfit and the end of the outfit was topped with some black boots.
“Can you hurry up Ashley I don’t have all fucking day,” You snap as come to walk next to Maeve without even giving her a glance.
“I know you probably heard that Queen Maeve here is now part of the LGBTQ+ community and we wanted to make something good out of it,” Ashley told you and you rolled your eyes.
You had great sympathy for Maeve as she was outed on public’s television at the hands of Homelander and if you were in her position you would have never worked with a man as vile as he is. But you understood that getting out of the Seven and getting out of Homelanders sight is a hard thing to do.
Plus she wasn’t hard on the eyes.
“You mean you want to capitalize on her sexuality,” You say, letting your arms fall to your sides. It wasn’t surprising since it was what they do to you all the time. Having you do commercials for Vought as one of the lesbian superheroes. It was especially hard during pride month where they used you for monetary gain, having you speak at conventions and on talk shows about how you were so proud of your sexuailtiy and you were but you hated how they took advantage of you. But hey at least they pay you graciously.
Maeve looked at you covering her surprised face with her usual hard shell. You were right, they were just going to use her and bleed her dry until she was just a shell of her old self, as if she wasn’t already.
“You know that’s what I mean,” Ashley defended herself and you let out a huff when she said those words.
“Do we even have a choice,” Maeve questioned and you nodded alongside her. You were curious if you could even say no to Vought.
“Yes of course you do,” Ashley says.
“I guess I‘ll do it,” You muttered looking at the ground at your boot-covered feet.
“Maeve,” Ashley questioned, her tone dropped to a more serious tone.
“Whatever,” Maeve responded in her bitter tone and you understood it all too well. You were just like her when you came out and Vought used you, and plus she was a part of the Seven, she’d be more valuable and by proxy more profitable.
“Then it’s settled we’ll have the both of you post something to your social media about how you two were in a secret relationship and decided to be out as a couple in the public,” Ashely says, her eyes back on the iPad she had and her tone more happier.
Maeve rolled her eyes at the ‘decided to be out as a couple in the public’. Homelander outed her on fucking live television there was option as coming out but she swallowed her words as she always did with Vought. She didn’t like it but it was something she was used to and something she was starting to hate more and more.
You on the other hand were looking at her with sympathy, being outed sucks and you knew this. When you were younger your friends decided to out you as lesbian so you understood to an extent. She was outed on live television where most people watched and now everyone knew.
Letting out a sigh you look at the ceiling getting ready for the shit storm Vought was about to do and how they were going to get money out of it.
It’s been a few weeks since the ‘relationship’ between you and Maeve went public and least to say people loved it. Not the conservatives and the bigots who thought that the LGBTQ commiunity is infecting the youth. But you and Maeve were the number one trending Supe ship.
After the social media post went up the two of you went on talk shows and talked about how you were excited to finally be out and proud.
Obviously not meaning any of the words either of you said. It was just Vought scripts that were as lifeless as a corpse. Nor you or Maeve didn’t believe any of the shit Vought told you to say because you two weren’t in love. At least not yet.
The two of you got along well and you could tell that Maeve was closed off to you and you weren’t mad, you were closed off as well. But when you two did speak it was only for a few moments and it tended to be more awkward than anything, but you had a mutual respect for each other and that was all that you needed.
Maeve on the other hand didn’t want to get you hurt, you seemed like a nice person and you didn’t deserve the wrath that Homelander held, her on the other she felt like she deserved. You didn’t. So if she kept her distance with you unless the two of you were expected to show up somewhere or public dates the two of you go on.
To be completely honest Maeve was starting to like you, you were cute, you made jokes that made her stifle a laugh and that was more of a reason to distance herself. She couldn't get you involved her fucked up mess. She didn’t know if you liked her but you liked her enough to make small talk and to seek her out and ask her about her day. Even if you didn't, she needed to do what was right.
She couldn’t do that to you even though she was finding herself more and more into it, the more she found out the more she was interested. The more she was in this ‘relationship’ was way more comforting than the one she had with Homelander and deep down she was loving every second she had with you. But she would get a happy ending with you or with anyone.
The two of you enter an elevator after a long day of work, going out and stopping criminals and least to say the both of you were tired.
“God this day was really tiring,” You mutter leaning against the wall of the elevator.
“You can say that twice,” Maeve muttered, crossing her arms across her chest looking down at the elevator floor.
“Is it getting any better,” You blurted out the question that you've been wanting to ask her but didn’t want to be too intrusive.
“Is what getting any better,” Maeve questions even though she knew what you were talking about.
“Believe it or not I know how you feel with the whole outing situation but I can’t imagine what you’re going through, especially since Homelander did that to you. But all I know is after I was outed it took me a while to get comfortable in my own skin,” You say and Maeve does her best not to react to his name being brought up. She sure as hell knows that he’s probably listening so she’s going to have to be herself.
“Things are….. better,” Maeve says with uncertainty in her tone and you gave her a look of pity knowing that she was lying.
She had her walls built up higher than you can ever imagine and you wanted to help her break those walls down, so that she could look at herself and see what you see. A beautiful strong woman. You felt your heart start to race as it usually did when you were alone with her.
“Hey,” You say, approaching her and putting your hand on her upper arm and she tenses as you do so but she’s not willing to admit that your touch caused some sparks to go up her spine. “Just so you know if you need anything from me, or just to talk I’m always here for you, just because Vought is making us do this doesn’t mean I don’t care and talking about it really does help. So just remember that, any time of the day you need something, don't be afraid to knock on my door,” You say with a soft tone that almost made her melt, that almost made her just say screw it and kiss you but she held back.
“Thanks, right back at you,” Maeve says and you give her a soft smile before removing your hand.
“I’m gonna need to take something before I go and see Ashely because she is getting on my fucking nerves,” You say to break the tension.
“Trust me you’re gonna need a lot more of anything you have,” Maeve snorts and you let out a small giggle.
“I know and I’m hoping that she’s either too tired to talk too much or just is gone at her home because I can’t wait to go home and finally get some rest,” You say, resting your head against the hard wall.
“Or maybe she’s just getting fucked and even then she might be even grouchier,” Maeve blurts out.
“Maybe, just maybe she finds the love of her life and decides to just quit but hey dreamers can dream,” You shrug your shoulders with a slight eye roll.
“Cheers to that,” Maeve gives you a nod.
The elevator finally reaches level 99 and the two of you walk out and prepare to go your separate ways, no matter how much the two of you want to stay and talk the night away.
“See you tomorrow,” You give her a wave before heading to Ashley's office, getting ready for everything she has to say to you.
“Bye,” Maeve gives you an awkward wave as you turn around and she curses herself and shakes her head.
God she was so awkward with this, with someone she actually liked, not guys she brought up her to just fuck and to get her mind off everything. You were different and she was using all of herself to not just say screw it and try it with you. Because he would always be there and taunting her.
“See you two are getting along,” Homelander says walking up to stand next to Maeve.
Speak of the fucking devil.
“What do you want,” Maeve questioned, her hands turning into fists beside her. She did not want to deal with him right now, she didn’t want to deal with his condescending tone and him just bothering her when she didn’t want it.
“What I can’t see if my teammate is doing well in her relationship,” Homelander says feigning hurt and Maeve rolled her eyes at that. He didn’t feel hurt, he was just upset that he didn’t have her anymore.
“Why the fuck do you care, you and I both know that you’re not hurt by that, you were the who practically had it happen,” Maeve commented, telling the truth. If he didn’t out her, she wouldn’t be in this relationship with you, hell she might not even know who the fuck you are.
“That is true but is it so hard to believe that I hope you two are happy, that you guys happen to be just like the two of us. Starting out fake and ending up in a real relationship,” Homelander says putting his hands behind his back and Maeve had to bite her tongue so she wouldn’t tell him how much she fucking despised him.
“Just leave her the fuck alone please,” Maeve says her tone with an underlining of fear. Fear for you.
“Why would you think I want to hurt her? If anything I might thank her for making you happy, and who knows we all might be friends in the end if things work out right,” Homelander calmly says and Maeve could hear the subtle threat. Even if he wasn’t outright threatening you, she knew something would happen to you if she didn’t do something to protect you. Staying away was out of the question. She needed to make sure you were okay.
“Plus, you seem really comfortable with her, especially with that talk you guys just had,” Homelander says with a grin. Maeve could swear she felt her heart stop but she kept a straight face. “Hopefully she knows what she's in for when she signed up for this, literally,” He chuckles.
“Whatever, can you please just leave me alone,” Maeve snapped and Homelander gave her a shocked and surprised look.
“You know you might want to keep your eye on her, I mean who knows what could happen to her, especially at night,” Homelander says with a cryptic tone as his shoulders tense before he leaves.
Once Maeve made it to her penthouse she finally let out a breath of air that she’s been holding. She knew that he wouldn’t out right kill you right now, so she had some time to get a game plan. She had to protect you. No matter what it took.
Taking a swig of her whiskey she took a seat on her couch as her shoulders slouched with tiredness and stress. Besides everything she couldn’t wait to see you, no matter when.
It’s been a few days since that day in the elevator, but you don’t know what’s changed in Maeve. She’s been more into talking to you and you can’t say you’re upset. She’s been more of a comfort, and you loved that.
But she’s been flirting with you at least more outwardly.
You can’t lie when you say that you've been loving it. Ever since this relationship started a few weeks ago you’ve been trying to talk to her and now she’s actually talking to you. Whatever changed in her you loved it.
She’s also been very sad whenever you have to leave, whether it was to go to work somewhere else or go home. She always looked a bit upset and you didn’t know why, it couldn’t be she’d miss your presence. At least you didn’t think so.
But you've always reassured her that you’d be back whether it's the next day or a few hours from then. She seemed to like the reassurance you gave her and you’ve been using that so she doesn’t get so sad, upset, or hurt when you leave. It sometimes left you up at night wondering if she was just lonely or she acutely did like you.
On the other side of the fence Maeve has been keeping her eye on you after Homelander not so subtly threatened you. And she’d be lying if she said she didn’t enjoy flirting with you. Even though it’s been a while since she has flirted, you seemed to enjoy whatever line she threw your way based on the shy smile you’d give her, or the tiny laugh.
Even though she enjoyed flirting, she’s been getting more and more clingy due to Homelanders eye now being on you. Asking you if you were going to be okay, or when you’re going to be back and you’ve always reassured her that you would be back and you were fine.
It helped but it didn’t help the thought that you may be dead the next day and when you walked in the room with your signature smile she felt herself relax. What usually helped her get through the night is alcohol but she hated drinking that shit even though it helped her clear her head.
On this particular night, Maeve sat down on her couch trying to just watch tv but her thoughts kept coming back to you. If you were okay and if you were, what were you doing? It was only 11 at night so you wouldn’t be doing much and she hasn’t had any alcohol today. So nothing stopped her when she stripped herself out of her costume and into some jeans and a flannel t-shirt.
Looking in the mirror she cringed a little, it’s been a while since she’s been in casual clothes.
Putting her hair into a ponytail and then she shook it out trying to figure out what to do with it. She decided to just leave it down and put some sunglasses on to make sure no one recognized it was her, people were probably already asleep or in their homes so hopefully they didn’t recognize her.
Walking out of the Vought tower she looked around to make sure no one knew her or even worse, if Homelander was following her. He’s been in and out of it recently so she hoped he set his eyes on something else.
She walked in the direction of the Vought owned apartment building where you lived. You told her where you lived, if she needed to see you or if she just wanted to talk.
In this particular moment she just needed some comfort, whether it be talking or just being in the same room as you. Anything would do, if she were there, she would be able to make sure to keep you safe. At least try.
Standing in front of the door she raised her hesitantly and stopped trying to control her racing heart, but she took a deep breath as she knocked on the door and took a step back waiting for you to answer it and took her sunglasses off as well.
No going back now.
At first she was worried that you weren’t there, or worse that you were just dead because you weren’t answering the door but she felt her shoulders drop as soon as she heard you walking to the door.
Once you opened you were surprised to see Maeve standing there, especially in casual clothes since you’ve never seen her in anything else. But you saw her give you an awkward smile and you licked your lips before deciding to say something.
“Maeve what’s wrong,” You question, clearing your throat moving out of the way so she could come into the apartment. Luckily you were still awake because you were about to go to sleep, she probably knew due to you wearing sleeping shorts and an oversized t-shirt.
“Sorry I didn’t mean to wake you, I just wanted to come over since you always said I could if I needed to,” Maeve awkwardly rambled as she entered the room and you closed the door behind her.
“Don’t worry I wasn’t asleep yet, I was about to but you got here just in time,” You reassured her standing in front of her.
“I just needed to talk to you, or to just be here next to you,” She says while shaking her head as she feels her body finally relax. You were safe.
“Oh well, I’m glad you did, I did say you were welcome here anytime,” You give her a cheeky smile making your way into the kitchen. “Want some water, or any other beverage,” You questioned.
“Water is okay,” Maeve answers, scratching the back of her head as she makes her way to sit on your couch. Your apartment was very homey, nothing like the lifelessness of her penthouse back at the tower. This place made her feel safe, like she could just live here with you.
“Okay here you go,” You say, giving her the glass of water before sitting down on the couch next to her leaning against the cushion and facing your body so that you were looking at her. “Since you are here, do you want to talk about whatever is bothering you or do you want to just watch tv, that’d be fine as well,” You question not wanting to feel too pushy.
“Let’s just talk,” Maeve softly replies before turning her body to look at you as well. It was pretty dark but not dark enough to see that Maeve looked really happy and that made you feel good.
“What do you suggest,” You ask, contorting your body so that one leg was under you.
“Uh what do you do besides being a superhero that works with Vought, or is this your full time job like me,” She asks.
“Well I do like to volunteer on my own time, without any cameras to talk to kids in children's hospitals, I just feel like Vought would just use that to monetize it so I just kept it to my spare time,” You answer looking down at your lap.
“Wow, so you're just a real superhero,” Maeve says, looking at you with adoration. She always wanted to be a hero and when she started, she felt like it, she really wanted to help people but Vought ruined it like they always do and soon she was just another person they could get money from.
“Well so are you, I mean you’re Queen Maeve for fucking sake, you make a difference even if you weren’t out in the front line,” You chuckle.
“I don’t think I do,” Maeve answers with a tiny cringe. She wishes that she was everything you said about her but she wasn’t and that just made her heart almost stop.
“Come on, you’re an inspiration to little girls all around the world and now you’re probably helping a lot of kids come to terms with their sexuality and trust me I wish I had someone like you to look up to when I was growing up,” You say, your tone full of happiness.
“I don’t see it,” Maeve laughs, taking a swig of her water.
“I wish you could see what I see when I look at you,” You muse looking at her with such warmth that would make her feel like the only person in the world. You put your hand on her arm giving a smile caress.
“Vought just fucking sucks,” Maeve remarked and you give her small nod.
“That is true, I mean I’m only doing it for the money now,” You say with contempt. “It’s just another greedy corporation that doesn’t care about anything they say it does.”
“It just feels like I’m projecting this persona and no one knows the real me, with all the fucking scripts and talk show interviews, its just fucking tiring,” Maeve sighs, resting one of her hands on your knee just taking in the comfort you’re offering her. “It’s just one thing after another they want you to do and it’s never enough.”
“That’s true nothing will ever be enough for fucking greedy companies like Vought, but you knows what helps me,” You say leaning in a bit.
“What,” Maeve questions, using her thumb to rub figure eights on your knee as she unconsciously starts to move it a little higher.
“Knowing that someone out there, no matter who they are, and they need inspiration and we can give them that, even if it’s just to stand up to their fucking boss or kick a guy in his balls if he can’t take fucking no for an answer. People who just look up to us and know that we make that difference, I know it sounds kind of stupid but it really does help me sleep better at night,” You say knowing the stories your fans have told you, about how much you helped them.
Meanwhile Maeves had started to give your leg some goosebumps. You were already a bit hot and bothered due to her just being her and now she was teasing you.
“That makes sense, I just wish I could look through those lenses,” Maeve lets out a tiny giggle.
“I hoped that helped you though, because I totally see where you’re coming from,” You say with a bit of worry.
“Don’t worry you totally helped me, you just being here and listening to me helped me,” Maeve reassured you, giving her hand a squeeze on your thigh, she moved a bit closer to you as you felt your heart start to race a bit. “Can I uh try something,” She asked with a laugh.
“Of course, anything,” You say with a swallow.
Maeve leaned in closer til she pressed her lips to yours and you put your hand on her cheek and moved your lips along hers. It’s been a while since you’ve even liked someone so kissing someone felt like eons ago.
But it felt good kissing her and her hand lightly caressing your thigh as she kissed you hard and slipped her tongue in your mouth after you lost the battle of dominance. You moaned into her mouth as she started to trail kisses down your neck and started to suck a bruise on your clavicle.
You moaned as you felt yourself get wetter and wetter by the second and the only sound you could hear in the apartment was her heavy breathing and your moans.
“Where’s your room,” Maeve muttered the question as she started to trail kisses up your neck and right below your ear and started to make another hickey right there.
“Uh,” You began to say but moaned when she found your sweet spot on your neck. “It’s straight down the hall,” You say as you clear your throat.
Maeve then surprised you with your strength (which you shouldn’t be really surprised) and picked you up so your legs were wrapped around her waist as the two of you kept kissing as she made her way to your room. Her hand was on your ass and started to gently squeeze, making you moan into her mouth again.
She finally got your door open and walked to your bed and gently put you on the bed but not leaving you alone for a while as she made her way on top of you and started to kiss you again.
Your hands found their way into her long red hair as she ran her hands up and down your thighs which made you sigh into her mouth as her tongue started to explore what felt like every inch of your mouth. You started to grind up into her hips trying to get some friction you most desperately needed even though you were still in the confines of your shorts.
Making her way down your neck she started to pepper kisses along your chest and got frustrated when your shirt got in the way. She moved her hands to the hem of your shirt and you leaned up a little so she could pull it off you. She gave your chest a look of adoration before she started to trail kisses and started to leave hickeys along your chest.
You were letting out little whines and whimpers due to the fact that you felt like your pussy was getting more and more wet each time she kissed your body.
Her mouth finally made its way to your nipple and wrapped her plump lips around the tiny bud that was already hard due to it being a bit chilly. You moaned and arched your back a bit when she began to suck your nipple and you started to grind harder and harder against her own hips.
Moving away Maeve unbuttoned her own shirt and threw it to the side to where your shirt laid. You didn’t even have a little time to stare at her chest before she started to kiss down your stomach and around your belly button and started to toy with the strings of your shorts.
“Please,” You moaned as her hands moved down to your upper thighs and squeezed a bit harder but it definitely didn’t hurt you.
“Please what,” Maeve said with a cheeky tone that almost made you explode into pieces.
“Just touch me please,” You begged, jutting your hips up trying to get more friction on your pussy as you felt yourself get more and more wet if that was even possible.
Her hands made their way to your hips and pressed them down to the bed so you couldn’t move your hips and you let out a whine at that. You felt like you were about to burst into pieces.
“Just relax and have some patience sweetheart,” Maeve said with a sultry tone that made you whimper.
You nodded and decided to relax against the pillow which made Maeve give you a little smile. She moved back to your lower stomach and returned to kissing your body and you closed your eyes and let out tiny moans whenever she decided to give you a little nip.
Once she decided she was done with teasing you which felt like an eternity, she pulled down the shorts and let out a little laugh when she saw that you weren’t wearing any panties. While you moaned as the cool air came into contact with your wet pussy.
“God you are so fucking hot,” Maeve cursed as she moved down little and started to tease your inner thighs and decided to resume her kissing as she slowly made her way up.
You moaned as she sucked another hickey right above your aching clit that was throbbing. Her hands were still on your hips so that you could grind your hips up and that level of strength she held made your insides heat up. She chuckled against your skin as she felt you try to but she didn’t let up.
Once she did decide to take mercy upon you and press a gentle kiss to your kiss, you let out a tiny moan due to the sensitivity. She dragged her tongue along your wet folds, that made you moan and squeeze the blanket that you were laying on and your hand turned into fist.
Her tongue started doing wonders as she ran it up and down your folds multiple times and went up to your clit and your hips stuttered a bit when she wrapped her lips around your clit and started to softly suck on the soft nub.
“Maeve,” You moaned louder this time, that your neighbors might hear you.
Meanwhile Maeve had her thoughts clear of Homelander once you started moaning and she already adored the way she could make you melt with a couple kisses and touches.
Due to her teasing you, you could already feel your organsm rising and you would feel a bit embarrassed but Maeve seemed to know and started to suck harder and her mouth left your clit once which made you whine a bit but was quickly reassured when she ran her tongue up your folds and sucked your clit harder this time. She ran her tongue all around the little nub that she could feel throbbing.
“Maeve, I’m about too-,” You say your voice a little high pitched.
Maeve gave your hips a squeeze and nodded her head in reassurance without removing her lips from the tender muscle. So you just let your body do your thing and you let out strings of moans and yelps as Maeve started to suck faster and harder and with another single suck you let out a loud moan as you came all over her tongue.
Even though you felt like you blacked out, you could feel Maeve dip her tongue into your folds, deciding to clean up your release and moaning at the taste of you. You winced at the overstimulation and put your hand on her arm tugging her back up and luckily she did.
You could taste yourself on her mouth as she started to kiss you again and your hands started to move to her hips wanting to return the favor.
“Come on, take your pants off and let me help you,” You mutter against her lips, which makes her moan into your mouth. She nodded against your lips.
Once she got her pants and panties off and she returned to kissing you, your hands made their way to her hips again and started to move around to her thighs. But deciding that she still wanted to be in control she moved her hands to yours and put them to the sides and gave them a squeeze which made you moan into her mouth.
“I just want to help you like you helped me,” You whimper against her lips.
“I know but just trust me with this,” Maeve muttered moving her lips from yours.
The next thing you knew you felt her grinding her pussy on top of yours and her clit dragging across yours. You moaned but that was quieted once she decided to stick her tongue down your throat again.
You weren’t complaining.
Her grinding didn’t stop or show any hesitance as she felt her own release start to rise. Her clit throbbed against yours as she felt the knot in her stomach start to tighten even more. And due to the fact that she’s been wet ever since she kissed you it didn’t even take one more thrust before she came against your pussy with a strained moan of your name.
You smiled against her lips and kissed her neck and shoulder as she came down from her own release.
Once she felt legs stop shaking Maeve pulled the blankets over both of your nude bodies and wrapped her arms around and rested her head in the crook of your neck, inhaling your sweet scent.
“Feel better,” You quested drawing random things on the arm that was wrapped around your waist. You felt her chuckle against your neck and pepper a few kisses below your ear.
“Feel amazing,” Maeve whispered in your ear which made you let out an airy giggle.
“Well I’m glad I could help,” You laugh as you put your hand on top of hers.
“You definitely did more than help,” Maeve says as her eyes look over your nude form. Even though she couldn’t see much she saw something that made her let out a giggle.
“What are you laughing at,” You smile, twisting your body a bit so you could get a better look at her. But you had to admit a smile looked amazing on her.
“I just wanted to apologize,” Maeve says between little laughs.
“For what and you don’t seem sorry for whatever it is,” You laugh along with her.
“I just wanted to say sorry for the bruises,” Maeve sheepishly says and you look down to your hips and you could feel yourself already get more wet by looking at them.
“No need to say sorry, It’s kinda hot,” You say with a smirk.
“You dirty dog,” Maeve laughs, resting her head on the pillow.
“Says you,” You laugh and for what feels like ages you finally feel happy.

Truth Potion Problem 4
It was midday on a Saturday. Due to an upcoming basketball tournament, the only people in the Scarabia lounge are Kalim, Grimm, a few other students, and us. Some snacks are set out for anyone to take if they wish, as well as some drinks as well. Grim is sitting to my right as I lean back on my hands, watching and listening to Kalim as he rambles about his younger siblings. Sometimes I wonder how he can keep talking this fast without getting tired, reminds me of when Idia rambles about games or animes.
Only snapping out of my thoughts as Grim tugged on my sleeve. Looking down, he repeats whatever he said before, “Henchhuman! Tell me if this tastes weird to you too!” shoving the cup he was drinking from.
“Can’t you just get another cup if it doesn’t taste right to you?” “Mah! I already did!” he shouts and Kalim just laughs lightly. “Maybe you're just not used to the taste of it?” He jokes at the fire cat. Grim gives an angry hemp as I bring the drink to my lips, taking a small sip. The extremely pungent taste of something fruity hits my tongue, causing a slight drawl back and puckering. Kalim laughs and leans forward. “Are you okay?” he laughs joyfully, smiling widely. “You didn’t make this did you?” I ask, blinking a few times. He laughs and shakes his head. “No, one of my classmates made them, said it was something their mother used to make them.” He responded truthfully. Huffing slightly in response before shaking my head. “It is something,” I reply while handing the drink back to Grim. “Just pick something different if it bothers you.” Telling grim while taking a bite of a cracker to try and get the taste out of my mouth. “Anyway, I was wondering if you would like to come to our mini concert the pop music club is hosting?!” Kalim asks while leaning closer to us. I nod in agreement. “Sure, I would go anywhere you were,” I say while not meaning to add the last part. He laughs happily and smiles brightly. Goaning internally, mentally shaming myself for saying that. He just smiles “That’s so sweet of you!” he joyfully says, his smile giving more warmth than all of the scalding sands could ever do. He tilts his head when I cover my face and look away. “Is something wrong?” he asks in a worried tone. “Nothing, just embarrassed that I said that…”Face pales slightly before muttering ‘And that too’. He shakes his head before smiling again, crawling over towards us. “Hey, nothing to be embarrassed about! Friends always like to hang out with each other!” he cheerfully explains, not knowing that isn’t what I meant. “But I don’t want to be ‘just friends’ I want something more! But I can’t be with you, you're too pure and I don’t think your family would accept someone of lower status!” I argue all filters are gone. I don’t know why, but I feel like I have to say these things like I would burst if I didn’t. He looked surprised as I quickly stood up. “And now I ruined our friendship, this is why I didn’t want to say anything!” my voice starts to waver as I tear up slightly, ready to dash off. The few other students in the area are all looking this way, even Grim is looking up nervously. “Hench human?” grim asked quietly, standing up. I dash off before anyone can say anything, running to the portal to leave. I hear someone shout for me to wait, and I refuse to stop for them. Someone grabs my waist, pulling me back into their slim chest. Struggling and kicking do seem to reward me with freedom. “Let me go!” I shout while wiggling and kicking to get free. At this point, the tears were already falling as my chest tightened and breathing became hard. Everything is blurry as the world starts caving in, there are voices but that’s miles from my mind at the moment.
What seems like an eternity, but is only 30 minutes, for the world to start slowly coming back. A few voices can be heard whispering as a painful headache starts to split across my forehead. The voices stop as I move to sit up, opening my eyes only to be met with dim red lights. Feeling gentle touches on my back as they help sit me up. Looking over I see Kalim sitting beside me, his left hand holding my back. Jamil is leading on the doorway, he leaves once Kalim gives him a nod. The door shuts quietly as he goes, Kalim looks back over to me. “How are you feeling?” he softly asks, reaching to the bedside and gabbing a few pills. He places them in our hands, before grabbing water for me. “My head is pounding..” I quietly say, taking everything he is giving. He hums softly and nods. “What is the last thing you remember?” he asks, watching me carefully. I pause for a few moments before responding truthfully with, “Scared about confessing, even though I didn’t want to…..” pausing for even more time while I look away. “I felt like I was forced to…Like I was trying to lie about it… but I just couldn't..” I tell him in a soft voice. He nods and sighs softly. “When Jamil got back, he found out someone had spiked the punch with a truth potion. He’s going to find out why now, you just rest for now. You had a bad anxiety attack.” He says with worried laced tones. “but I-“ he cuts me off by shaking his hand and making me look at him. “You did not ruin anything, because I love you too. You ran away before I could tell you.” He gives a soft but warm smile. A feeling of relief washes over me as he gently pulls me into a hug. “Let’s just rest for now, we can celebrate this with a party later once you are feeling better!” he cheers loudly, apologizing when I wince from the higher volume. He smiles before dragging me back down and under the covers.
sorry this took me so long, college sucks the life out of me sometimes.

I want to know what was the rise gang reaction to them choosing to have kids or even meeting them? I feel like Donnie will make some crazy stuff for the kid ,only for it to go haywire.(smart lair and smart bed reference)
When they announced that they were going to have a kid the family was shocked. Leo and Usagi didn’t tell anyone that they were thinking about it. Usagi wanted to make sure they had a plan before telling anyone. So the only person who knew that they were thinking about it was Draxum. They only told the others once Jotaro was already conceived. This means the time period between: my brother might have kids, my brothers going to have a kid, crap my brother has a kid I’m and uncle/aunt was very short.
Raph
He was initially in shock but quickly became very excited. Leo and Usagi are a great couple and having little ones run around will be awesome.
He is a big nester. Knitting and crocheting baby blankets, hats, mittens, booties, stuffies, anything he can think of they baby has it.
He is a little worried about his track record. As much as he claims animals love him most small things attack him or are scared of him and he’s terrified that Leo’s kid is going to hate him.
When they first have Jotaro the parents spend some time alone with the infant before inviting the family in one at a time. They don’t want to overwhelm the kid or themselves with all the people and all the hands. Splinter gets to meet him first but Raph is second.
He comes in and immediately love Jotaro. The boy is just so small and cute. He is terrified to hold him. He is so much bigger then the baby but Leo gently places the boy in his brothers arms. Raph thinks the kids going to start screaming. He had cried when Splinter held him. But Jotaro scrunches up his nose, the whole room tenses waiting for a cry, then he yawns and snuggles into Raph’s hold.
Raph cry’s. Jotaro likes him. Leo and Usagi ask him to be godfather and he’s crying more because he’s he will absolutely. Look at him Leo he’s so small.
Donnie
His twin is going to be a dad. Baby is eminent. How did this happen? They are not ready for a baby in the family?
Donnie starts building everything under the sun. Why would you want a simple bassinet when you can have the Donnie Crib tm.
He tried to make things automatic and helpful. Changing stations, feeding stations, bathing tools, everything he can think of.
But alas it’s all in beta. Which means when he shows it to the parents to be there are a lot of explosions.
Usagi is very freaked out. He knows Donnie’s a genius and he build things Usagi could never dream of. He trust Donnie with his life. With his husband life. But if you think for one moment he is putting his baby boy in any of those death machines you’re insane.
It does start a fight between the parents to be. Usagi just wants Donnie to stop. He’s stressed out about the baby coming and making sure his family is safe and bringing any of these machines into their home is stressing him out even more.
Leo understands. He does. He’s just as stressed as Usagi is by these machines. But he grew up with Donnie. He knows it takes a few times before Donnie gets his invention right and he is trying to be patient. He knows this is Donnie’s way of loving them and their son. And he tries to explain that to Usagi. Usagi does listen for the most part.
It comes to a head when Donnie is showing off Donnie Crib 3.0 and it blows up starting a small fire. Usagi loses it. He loves Donnie, how could he not he’s Leo’s twin and Usagi worked so hard for his approval, but this is to much. Snaps at Donnie, no more they don’t need any of his machine killing their child.
It’s harsh. Usagi’s tired and Jotaro is about to be born and he just watched a model baby melt in a crib on fire. It’s a lot. But he really hurts Donnie’s feelings
Leo portals them home and they get into a fight over it. Emotions are high and they both know Jotaro’s here and their Botha so excited but so scared and everyone has been in their business about it. It’s been a lot and the crib on fire was the straw that broke their backs.
As mad as they are they both take a moment to calm down before the sit down and talk it out. They are not going to let this fester. They talk out all of the stress they are under and come out stronger then before.
The next day Usagi goes over to apologize to Donnie. He knows Donnie would never hurt them and he said things he didn’t mean. It’s a hard conversation but a good one. They agree to keep the initial nursery simple. Donnie didn’t have a lot of warning about this kid so he’s been scrambling to build stuff. This will give Donnie time to perfect his presents without rushing. As he finalizes projects they can replace the old stuff. This gives Usagi peace, as they still need to set up the nursery as they had been waiting on donnie, and it give donnie reassurance that his family still wants his help he just needs to take his time with it. There are still hurt feelings but it’s a lot better.
Mikey
the most excited uncle.
He paints the nursery. It looks like a misty mountain and forest scene. He does all the other kids bedrooms as well when they come.
Tells anyone who will listen he’s going to be and uncle soon.
He meal preps for Leo and Usagi. When they first bring Jotaro home he’s going to take up most of their time and Mikey knows this is one thing he can take off of their plates.
April
So excited.
She’s a little mad/ freaked out her little brother beat her in having kids. But that quickly leaves as she is just so excited.
This is the family’s first baby. She helps prepare their home for the baby. Helping baby proof things and set up what they can.
She tries to talk Donnie out of some of his projects. She thinks he should pick one and work on it till it’s perfect rather then spreading himself out. But as we know he didn’t listen.
Absolutely goes baby clothes shopping. She and Leo have a blast picking out all these cute little outfits for Jotaro. She does it for every kid that the family has.

Punished 3.5🟢
“-god, how long have I been transcribing her holy words? I have lost track of time…”
Moses mumbled to himself. He was locked  in a dark dank dusty room filled with books for him to transcribe perfectly as a punishment. The catch is that he won’t be released until he did so. Not bad, right? Well, now that he had this bandage on his head, it became too much for him to do. He had to do this for 100 books, each about 500 words each.
“If you mess up once, you have to transcribe the whole section again. If you mess up three times, you will have to do the whole book. And if you mess up 10 times altogether, you will have to transcribe ALL 100 books again from scratch!”
And then she left. It’s been 6 whole days and thankfully he was almost done. The first day he had to redo all of his progress and he ended up breaking down in pain and agony from his injury, but mostly from his Goddess disregarding him. It was an awful feeling as he continued on, dried tears from many painful wounds on his head and his heart.
“I must finish! I must prove to her I’m worthy! I must get her the truth!”
He whispered. Goddess Fernilla was mostly alone with her thoughts as she barely reads the transcribed material. This was meant to be a punishment. Moses going rogue like this was very much unlike him. The other method would be beating HIM to death. She wouldn’t be able to bear hearing him in pain.
“Why would be kill an innocent person? He better have a reason when he’s done.”
She said. Then she felt her neck tug.
“Ah, already? It hasn’t been 6 days already?”
She said and then gets down from her seat and opens the portal to the underside. The room goes red as she goes to sit back down. Out comes the black cat himself, Narinder, the one who waits, Him.
“Took you long enough, I need to talk to you, Fernilla”
Fernilla sighs. What does he want now?
“Any reason why you’re asking for me again? It better be important , Narinder”
“Yes, I’m aware that your little “hero” has done a mercy kill! And you’re punishing him?”
He said. Fernilla sighs. Here they go again. What were the odds he’d ask about this?
“A follower, with such intense strength, willing to do mercy kills for you! Who knows what this means for your cult. Instead of rewarding him, you are punishing him! That’s absurd!”
“He cannot go around and killing random people! This cult has rules! If I don’t punish him, then we end up with Vigilantes! This is not anything for you to get your hands on”
She said. Narinder scoffs
“He would be better with me! I’d let him level cults in my name! He’d be perfect, but I guess you’re okay ruining him like this. Forget it, I’m out”
And just like that, he leaves back for the underside for another 6 days. What a waste of a day honestly.  Goddess Fernilla leans back in her chair, squeezing her forehead. What has she gotten herself into?  She didn’t even ask him about the lamb problem they were having. Then a servant comes to her.
“My goddess, Moses has finished transcribing. What should we do now?”
“Bring him here”
She says as the servant leaves. Moses then appears in front of her. He falls to his knees as Fernilla gets up, towering over him.
“My goddess…please, allow me to explain myself for the death of Lucas, please…”
He said. She looked at him, his head looked like it was healing, which was good and his hands looked red and sore. He isn’t picking up his sword anytime soon so hopefully he can shed some light on what exactly happened.
“Fine Moses, speak”
“Thank you my merciful goddess…I know this is outside of the realm of possibility but please listen to me. Lucas was a heretic! I saw his eyes glow red like- like HIS!”
Fernilla moves up. She knows what he’s talking about. Narinder. But how can that be?
“He even grew dark appendages and clawed me!”
He said as he lifted his shirt! It was completely taped up but still, the gashes looked deep to her. Fernilla was getting worried.
“What else do you know?”
“I know that he told me he was a servant of HIM and they might be lying in wait for the perfect moment to strike! They might go after Noelle!”
Fernilla slammed her fist through her chair
“He’s a traitor! I knew it!”
She said. She holds her hand. Moses tries to take a look, but she was running on adrenaline, pacing the room
“I asked him…I trusted him to help…but now he’s going after MY lambs?!? The ones that are left? That bastard!”
She said. She felt her neck. No…she sealed her fate. There was nothing to protect her…but there might be a way to protect them.
“Moses…come my dearest…”
Moses nearly melted at the soft face of hers and approached softly. She pulls him in close and hugs him
“Forgive me for punishing you so harshly”
“No, you were in your right. If you didn’t…then anyone can just kill someone they disagreed with. I was an example of your will…and Noelle…I must apologize to her…”
“You absolutely will…but let’s give her some space…she didn’t seem in the right headspace to hear about anything Lucas related”
She said and before she gets up, Moses touches her neck. Only person who is allowed to touch her. He feels it.
“My goddess…I know I am a mere follower to you…but I refuse to let you wallow away in pain. Share some of your pain with me…please…”
He said. She’ll never understand how he can still follow her after what she did to him, but she decided that she needed to tell Moses what she did. And what will happen next.
“Come Moses…I must tell you about Narinder and me…and our deal…”

[Universe 717,???] On the other side of the portal, we were in a forest. Something was familiar, and after I examined the forest, I found why. It was in this forest that I met Agatha for the first time.
"Okay, here we should find an Agatha with her powers, so she should be able to help us." America said, and I nodded.
"Why didn’t you bring us here at first?" I asked.
"You said I should focus on your Agatha, and she’s a big mother figure for me." She replied, and I didn’t find anything to reply to, but fortunately for us, someone seemed to find us.
We looked in the direction of the sound to find a familiar woman. "Agatha?" we both said, a little surprised. This version of Agatha seemed more surprised than us.
"Who are you?" she asked. She raised her hands, and they were glowing purple. "And how do you know my name?"
"Uh... it's a long story, but we need your help." America said her.
This version of my wife was strange; she was like my Agatha, but something was very different from mine and the previous one we saw. I looked around us, but I heard something hit the ground near me and found America lying near me. "What are you doing?" I asked.
"I will repeat myself; who are you?" she asked.
"It's me, Y/n." I said, but she just furrowed her eyebrows and tilted her head.
"And who are you? No, I have a better question: "How do you know me, and why do you need my help?" She asked, and now I noticed her fingers.
"Wait, the darkhold?" I examined her more intensely. "Wait, you're not my wife. I mean, I knew, but you seem younger than the previous Agatha."
"Did we travel in time?" Amercia said after she was back on her feet.
"What do you mean?" Agatha asked, and I sighed.
"Okay, can you put your hand down, and I will explain everything?" She strangely listened to me, and we explained to her everything about the multiverse and why we were here.
"So, you're telling me in another universe, I'm married to you, and you're here because me or another version of me got hit by a wrong spell, and she hasn't woken up since." She said, and we nodded. "Are you kidding me?" she asked.
"No, we're totally serious." America replied.
"And how am I supposed to help you?"
"You can come with us and see if you can do something to help her." I proposed.
"I'm not sure," she said. "Your Agatha seems more powerful than me, and I've just started to study the Darkhold for a month now. I'm sorry, but I don't think I'm the best choice for this. But maybe you can search for someone more powerful than me." she explained. I looked at America, and she stood up and started to focus.
"You know, you don't have to search for more power; you're already the best witch in the world, despite everything your mom said." I said her before I stood up.
"You know my mother?" she asked.
"No, but I know a cute witch who can defeat anyone without any help." I winked at her.
"I found something," America said after she opened a portal.
"I think it's the last time we see each other." Agataha said.
"Don't worry; you just have to be patient." I smiled before saying goodbye and crossing the portal.

[Universe 308, Avenger compound]
This universe seemed more strange than the others. I looked everywhere; it seemed that we were in the compound, but there was no sign of life. "Are you sure there is someone here?" I murmured to the young girl.
"I focus on a universe where we could find someone who was strong enough to help us. I don't know if it was a good choice," she said.
We walked a while in the desert compound until we heard a voice; it came from the training room. We had a silent debate about whether we should go before we started to walk. In the room, we found...me? I mean another version of me. She stopped what she was doing when she heard us come, and we looked at 'me'. She had a strange aura. "Oh, I wasn't expecting this," she said; her voice was an octave lower than mine.
Everything made me uncomfortable. "Hi?" I said, but it definitely sounded more like a question.
"Hi, myself," she said with a little mocking tone. She looked at the girl beside me and smiled. "And you should be the famous America Chavez, right?" She asked, and I tensed. This question gave me goosebumps.
"How do you know me?" America asked.
"I just study a lot," she said while she was walking toward us. I instinctively took a step in front of America. "Like you can see, there isn't a lot to do here, so I learned a lot about the other universe." she explained.
She stopped a few meters in front of me and looked at me, smiling, but this smile seemed false.
"You shouldn't be here," she whispered, and I furrowed my eyebrows. "You should be with her." she explained.
"Who are you?" I asked. Her eyes glowed purple, and I was projected onto the nearest wall.
"What do you want?" America asked.
"I just want to help you." She grabbed the young girl's wrist. "You need my help to help Agatha, right?"
"How do you know that?" I asked but didn't wait for any response before I glowed and flew to them and successfully freed America.
"Where are the other Avengers?" the girl asked.
"I don't know, but you need to focus on somewhere else; we can't stay here." I replied. We were about to exit the compound when the Captain's shield hit me, and I fell to the ground.
"Where are you going?" This other version of me said "You can't leave." Two armors of Iron Man kept me on the ground while she used her magic to block America against a wall. "You can't take her away from me again."
"What are you doing?" I asked.
"What am I doing?" She repeated, "I'm kepping my promess. I can't let you ruin everything."
"You're the one who messed up with the spell?" America asked.
"Of course," she replied. A wave of anger blew up in me, and I started to glow brighter. When I was about to free myself, I received an electric shock. "Nah, I don't think I'll let you use your power here."
"But what happened here?" the young girl asked. "Where are the others?"
"Oh, you probably talk about the Avengers, right? Let's just say that they retire for good." She replied.
"What did you do to the team?" I started to worry.
"The team?" she repeated. "This 'team' like you said, let my love, our love, die! They could save her; they should save her, but they didn't!" she yelled. "They called themselves a family, but they weren't. A family doesn't let other members die when they can save them," she scuffed. "But they did," she finished.
"What happened to Agatha?" I asked.
She sighed and sat next to me. "There was Thanos," she started; her eyes glowed purple again, a wave of purple magic drowned the room, and we were transported to a battlefield, or at least a memory of a battlefield. There was a clash of powers between Agatha and Thanos with four stones on six. "Did you see that?" my variant whispered in my ear. She grabbed my chin and turned my head to a young version of herself; she was bleeding and seemed nearly knocked out.
"They sent us to delay him and his army." Her tears started to fall. "They didn't come to us; they were too occupied to make sure Wanda destroyed the mind stone." The memory continues until the moment. Agatha was visibly exhausted; your variant was too, and the mad titan was smiling. Even if he had already won, he wanted to make the thing memorable. My other self was forced to look at him while he grabbed the witch's hair to make her stand up. He gave my variant a last look before using the power stone to kill my her Agatha in front of her.
After that, we were back at the compound. "So you see, I think you can understand why I'm doing this," she said before making her way to America, who was stuck between some purple whips. "I just need you to let me borrow your powers, nothing else," she said with a calm voice.
"How can you do that?" America asked.
"Oh, little girl, I'm not like my other self; to be honest, we are special in the multiverse. We don't all have the same powers, but in my case, I can steal other powers," she explained.
"Oh, it's a great ability." I said.
"Yeah, I know, but trust it or not, you're only two in the multiverse with the same power as Captain Marvel," she informed me. "One of us can control the shadows; I think I will get this power after that," she added.
"Oh, interesting," I replied, "but can you do that?" I asked, and she looked at me with a curious look. I felt my body tense a little. I knew this feeling; I was sure she was expecting me to glow again, so it was the reason she was surprised when a heavy object hit her head and made her fall. The armors lost their grip, and I took this hint to make a small explosion of my power and send them away. I raised my hand and grabbed Thor's hammer of this universe. I was a little surprised to know I was worthy even here.
My other self took a moment to understand what just happened, and I used this time to free America. "Since when can you do that?" the little one asked, but I shook my head.
"We'll talk about it later; now find somewhere with someone who would really help us and not try to kill us, please." I replied, and she nodded and walked away from me to focus.
My variant stood up, and she seemed stunned, and I didn't wait until she recovered to hit her with lightning. "How can you do that?" she asked, and I smiled.
"You said it yourself; we're special, and I'm just more special than you," I replied before gently lending the hammer on her chest while she was lying on the ground.
"I found something!" America yelled, and I quickly ran to her and the portal she opened. I stopped her before she crossed it to look at her and be sure she was alright. "You're worrying too much; I'm okay," she said while she rolled her eyes.
"I just want to be sure." I replied. She crossed the portal, and I quickly followed, but before I raised my hand, Mjölnir came back to me before I disappeared in the star.

[ Place: Cabin's room ]
—Kino is by himself, tapping on his phone—
Kino: ( … Changes, huh. )
…Yeah. We should bring signal to this place already. That’s the change I wanna see.
Offline games are too boring.
—He tosses the phone aside; then he lays flat on the bed—
Kino: … …
… … … …
… … Ngh…
… … … …Too silent.
—He gets up again—
Kino: ( What is taking so long? Is she still in shock? )
( I had time to take a shower and everything. )
—Knock Knock—
Kino: Ah, come in.
Yuuri: Excuse me.
Kino: Yuuri?
Yuuri: Kino… I believe you should know this.
—Later—
[ Place: Cabin’s Living room ]
—The door slams open—
Kino: What do you mean she left!?
Yuuri: I saw her flying away not too long ago.
I figured I should inform you before making any moves.
Kino: Where did she go? Did she persuade you again!?
She did, didn’t she?
I can’t believe this.
I’m gonna find her and—!
Yuuri: Kino. Please calm down.
Scarlett-san… she said nothing. The window was open from inside.
She went South. That is all I can be certain of.
Kino: South…?
To the Demon World? The Portal?
…To the human world again.
Heh.
...What a coward she turned out to be.
Yuuri: … …
Kino: Is there something else I need to know?
Yuuri: … … I admit I was able to listen to your argument earlier, from outside. For the most part, that is.
My apologies. I know it is nothing of my concern. But…
Kino: Don’t worry about that. I expected as much, she’s quite noisy.
But it was nothing you didn’t know already.
Yuuri: I am aware.
Kino: I couldn’t allow her to keep shamelessly lying to my face like that.
It was fun while it lasted, I guess.
…but I wasted my time. Whatever.
Not like it was meant to succeed anyway.
—Kino paces around—
Kino: Ahh, how should I end this now? I don’t know.
Yuuri: End… this?
Kino: Yeah. I guess I should end this once and for all, now.
I mean, if she’s gone, they won’t listen——
… … ...
Ah…
No. It’s worse.
Yuuri: … …?
Kino: Tch. It’s worse...
( Because that old man… )
( He knows. )
—Flashback—
Old Ghoul Man: I never thought talking back to Kino-sama and getting away with it was possible. Although if she suddenly disappears…
—Flashback ends—
Kino: ( Not like he’s living for too much longer, though. But how many more…? )
No way...
( I can’t possibly tell them that she’s gone now. )
( … just like him, everyone will think——! )
Ha…
…hahahaha…
...How interesting.
Yuuri: … what is…?
Kino: I’m… trapped.
She trapped me.
Yuuri: Excuse me?
Kino: As soon as I turned around, she left...
She’s gone, but that’s not new, right?
This always happens after all.
Oh, but guess what!
—Kino continues to pace around restlessly—
Kino: Haha! No one trusts me, so I can’t tell them anything.
Or else, they will think she disappeared because of me.
Because I killed her.
...I might as well next time I see her.
Yuuri: ... ... Kino...
Kino: … I should have seen this coming.
I knew her loose tongue was going to be problematic...
Ohhh, I’m pissed.
Even when she’s not here she continues to piss me off!
—He kicks a chair—
Yuuri: … ...
Kino. May I ask a question?
Kino: What!?
Yuuri: … …
Kino: WHAT!?
Yuuri: …Pardon me. May I know...
What does the plan you informed her entail?
Kino: Hah? Where does that come from?
Yuuri: I believe there is a step I may be missing, I cannot understand completely.
Hence, I am not of much help.
I am unaware of the technique you used to convince her to participate… or why she accepted to do so thus far.
Kino: Ah, it was easy. I simply offered influence, another kind of power.
Ghouls are always going on and on about how they want to change their lives and all that.
It worked in my favor before, but I can’t use that anymore.
Well, not on the ones remaining.
I waited long enough until I found someone unaware enough to listen... But it’s never going to be that easy, huh.
It went to her head way too fast.
Yuuri: … … Power.
I see.
Kino: Ha, you know something great? That Vampire knew a thing or two about the Ghoul captivity that works in the shadows.
Should I even believe that? I choose to, but what does that change?
Yeah, if it was true, saving them would be ideal, I guess.
But they will want to see her now. It won’t work if I do the thing myself.
They will want to know where she is... and eventually turn their backs on me again when they don’t see her, because she disappeared.
And the cycle repeats...
Yuuri: … Excuse me, what Vampire are you referring to?
Kino: Eh? You know, the one! The—...wait.
Yuuri...
Yuuri: Yes?
Kino: Why... do you question me so much?
Not just now, but...
Yuuri: I do not.
However…
Kino: … … don’t tell me... you—
Yuuri: No.
I am not judging you.
Additionally, I have been avoiding Scarlett-san in order to keep you at peace.
But… Kino. Allow me to be honest…
You have not informed me the entirety of your procedures.
Kino: What? Of course I did! I always do!
Yuuri: I am afraid… you always did.
That is why… I am surprised.
I cannot be an efficient assistant without all the details.
Kino: …!
This… See, this wasn’t all that big of a deal!
Yeah, I had to get some help from you with the whole Sakamaki stuff, that was a lot to do by myself.
And it failed, anyway.
But this looked easier, I didn’t have to deal with the other sons of Karl Heinz anymore.
Ah, I should pay them a visit some time. Do you think they still hate me?
Yuuri: … … Kino.
Kino: They probably do, right?
Ahh, yeah, maybe I’ll need your advice on that one again.
Don’t worry I haven’t forgotten about you!
I just thought I could manage this myself…
Hahaha! Yeah, seems like I can’t work without you, huh?
Who was the new King again? Maybe we could—
Yuuri: Kino…
Stop.
Kino: Huh?
Stop…?
Yuuri, don’t worry about it!
I have everything—...
Yuuri: … under control?
Kino: Yeah...!
This is nothing. It was, maybe, like a test?
You know, to make sure... What if I could fix it? What if it wasn’t that terrible?
What if… what if…
Yuuri: … …
Kino: …ahhh, whatever!
It was a delusion. It’s all gone!
She’s gone! The plan is gone! I will be gone too, it’s whatever.
I’ll just leave another message, exterminate them all and that’s it.
Yuuri: Kino, please.
You should stop—
Kino: Why do you keep saying that!?
Yuuri: It’s not… going to work.
Not now.
Kino: It did before, right!?
It did, so…
Yuuri: … … …
Kino: … don’t look at me like that...
Don’t look at me with such pity!
Yuuri, not you…!
Yuuri: That is not…
… Never mind. I apologize for intruding in this way.
Kino: … Yuuri…
Do you think this is...
Yuuri: Hm?
Kino: … Nothing.
Nothing!
I guess I should have known there’s no way I could make amends with Ghouls anymore.
… it is what it is.
Luckily, I still have you, Yuuri.
Yuuri: … Yes.
Kino: … right?
Yuuri: Yes.
Kino: Good.
Good...
—Kino; Monologue—
...Disappointment after disappointment after disappointment.
No matter how much I try, I always end up disappointed.
I made sure to stay unattached to avoid it this time, but...
No matter who it is, or what they do...
It always ends the same.
The Sakamaki bastards, that Komori girl, the Ghouls, Karl Heinz himself—
Yuuri... he would never tell me, but I know it well by now.
——The problem starts with me.
...It was always my fault. But I won’t try anymore.
I keep letting control slip through my fingers and disappear... I don’t have the composure I once had.
I’m tired of feeling humiliated like this.
—Monologue END—
—Tick tock—
Kino: ...anyway, I decided.
I will sleep it off and eliminate everything tomorrow.
Yuuri: …Pardon me?
Kino: You heard me. Eliminate. I will kill them all and get this over with.
Yuuri: ….Please, think about this.
Kino: What do you want me to do!?
I’ve been cornered by a Ghoul, do you think this is funny!?
I can’t do anything without it backfiring now. I hate this!
But if she thinks I’m going to let her win she’s wrong!
This ends here. I hope she rots in Hell.
Yuuri: … … Kino, please don’t make any rushed decisions.
The previous times—
Kino: The past is in the past.
I’m done.
I even was so kind as to keep her nasty little secret.
We both did. And for what—!?
—Tap tap—
Kino: …!?
—More taps on the window—
Yuuri: ...A crow is outside.
Kino: ...It’s too late. She could have gone to speak to them.
Ha... now everyone knows where I’m located.
See why I can’t let them stay alive—!?
Yuuri: One moment.
—Yuuri opens the window and the crow gets inside; it carries something in its beak—
Kino: What are you doing!? I didn’t send any familiars.
Did you?
—Caw!
Kino: ——!?
Are you... serious…!?

Gravity Falls Fic: Call on Me
My fic for day 2 of @polyshipweek! The prompt I chose was second chances. It’s a Ford/Fidds/Emma-May fic set when Ford calls Fidds for help on the portal. Emmy has another idea. You can read it under the cut or on AO3 here.
Bill doesn’t like it, but it has to be Fiddleford. Ford’s finally made his muse see the wisdom of bringing in someone with Fiddleford’s talents. Much as he’d like to say that he’s capable of designing and building a poly-dimensional meta-vortex on his own, he has to admit that, really, he can’t. “And, no offense, Bill but it seems like you can’t, either,” Ford had pointed out. “Unless you have a depth of mechanical knowledge you haven’t revealed to me yet?” he added, half-hopefully.
Bill had laughed ruefully and scratched his head (the tip of his body under the hat, rather.) “Yeah, yeah, you got me there, IQ. Go ahead and call your buddy. But keep me under your hat, got it?” For a dramatic exit from Ford’s mindscape, Bill had squeezed himself into a tiny fraction of his usual size and disappeared into his own hat, which then popped out of existence, allowing Ford to wake up and stare at his ceiling until light crept through his window.
-
That had been five days ago. Ford hasn’t heard from Bill in that time, and so hasn’t had anything to distract him from his anxiously churning thoughts.
What will I say? What will he say? What do I say if Emma-May answers the phone? Should I ask to speak to her if she doesn’t? What if their son answers the phone? Do (whatever age he is) aged children answer phones? Did Stanley and I ever get the phone when we were children? Maybe Shermie answers the phone at home. I should call Mom and Dad and see if he answers.
“Look,” he tells himself in the mirror one afternoon. “You’re just going to have to do it.” Ford drags the razor across his jaw. “You’ve reached the point of shaving to avoid talking to Fiddleford and Emma-May again,” he points out. “So you know you’re being cowardly. If you want to achieve anything in your life, you have to be willing to face your fears.”
Ford rinses his face and gives himself a stern nod in the mirror. He’s right. He should listen to himself.
-
Ford makes the call in his office, hoping the professional atmosphere will keep him grounded. It’s been years. He’s a grown adult now, he reasons. He’s surely over his bizarre youthful experimentation stage, and over any lingering hurt feelings over any breakups that might have resulted in Ford moving alone to Oregon and Fiddleford and Emma-May getting married and settling down. In the last couple of years, he’s been better able to look back fondly on his… relationship time with Emma-May and Fiddleford. He used to try to avoid thinking of them as much as possible. He couldn’t say he resented them; their parting of ways was mutual, after all. But he couldn’t say he was entirely sanguine about them, either.
Ford makes the call in his office, hoping the setting will make this feel like a professional interaction. He paces like a dog on his short leash, twisting the phone cord in his fingers. He fits each finger of his free hand in between the tightly curled spirals of the cord, and thinks suddenly of Emmy’s– of Emma-May’s hair on the days she took the time to do it. It curled almost as tightly, those times. The rest of the time her hair was much like Ford’s– an unhappy medium between curly and frizzy, usually settling into fluffy on days she didn’t wash it. They used to sigh about it together when they were alone and Fiddleford wasn’t around to tease them.
He’s jostled out of his memory when the ringing stops. His stomach drops sharply, but that’s nothing new, not specific to this situation. It’s always unpleasant when someone he’s calling actually picks up.
“Hello, Fiddleford Computermajigs.” A very large portion of Stanford’s nervousness curls up and withers away as if it had never been. It’s Fiddleford, after all. Just Fiddleford, who Ford has always been able to talk to. He grins and shakes his hand free of the phone cord.
“Fiddleford, it’s Stanford Pines. It’s been a long time, I know, but I was calling because I was hoping you’d help me with some work I’ve been doing. I’ve hit a roadblock.” Fiddleford stays silent while Ford explains what he’s doing and what he hopes Fiddleford will be able to help him with. When Ford is done, all Fiddleford says is that Ford’s idea is ‘mathematically feasible,’ thank god. (Both thank god that Fiddleford doesn’t need convincing that it could work and thank god that he’s still the same old Fidds and is instantly invested in an interesting problem, rather than any pesky emotions either of them could be feeling.)
“It’d be a real treat to come up north and help you out with your project, Stanford!” he says, with perfect sincerity. “What number are ya callin’ from? I’ll talk to Emmy about it and call you right back.”
Ford gives Fiddleford the relevant information and hangs up, monumentally relieved.
Buoyed up by the idea that Fiddleford will be here sometime soon, Ford launches into some work regarding recent magnetic field disturbances for some fun. He thinks it’s probably just Crash Site Omega acting up, but without making the trip out there he can’t be sure. For a while he is thrilled to realize that whatever is going on is also causing faintness, weakness, and shortness of breath, but sadly, the feelings go away once he’s had lunch.
Once one PM rolls around, it starts to occur to Ford that Fiddleford is taking an awfully long time. Would Emma-May have told him he shouldn’t go? In a way it would make sense. How many wives would want their husbands spending extended time alone with an ex, even if it was a mutual ex? She hadn’t seemed angry or resentful when they’d last seen each other; she’d hugged him and cried, but hadn’t yelled or thrown anything.
Ford, sweating in the heat, opens his refrigerator door to stand in the cool. Rather than worry over things he can’t influence, he forces himself to list his least favorite professors from Backupsmore, starting with the worst and moving on to the most tolerable. When the phone rings he springs to answer it.
“Hello, this is Stanford Pines.”
Click. Great, another prank call. He gets them very rarely, but it does happen.
Now he has to wait around again. Ford angrily hangs up the phone, and then jumps into the air when the phone rings again immediately. He yanks the handset off the receiver.
“Hello?” he demands, sounding like an angry recluse even to his own ears.
“Hi, Stanford, it’s Emmy. Heard you needed Fiddlford for something up in Oregon? You’re still in Gravity Falls?”
“Yes,” Ford says automatically. How did it not occur to him that Emmy might be the one to call back? “I can’t think of anyone better suited to help me with my work. At least, the work I’m doing, uh, at the moment.” He chuckles nervously.
“Well, I think it’s a great idea,” she says easily, with a determinedly casual air that Ford recognizes at once. It’s the cool, easy demeanor she adopts when she’s about to say something outrageous that she wants to trick people into going along with. “I’m gonna come, too, I think. And Tate, of course, he’ll love gettin’ to run around and get some fresh air. How’re the schools up there, d’you know?”
“Well, fairly bad, I think, but, Emma-May,” Ford stammers. He takes a breath to organize his thoughts as quickly as he can. It’s an absurd idea, and she knows it. “All three of you can’t come up here for an undetermined amount of time, surely? Fiddleford said his own work can wait, but don’t you work for the city?”
“I was thinkin’ I might take some time off soon.”
“Ah. I suppose then I can see why you might not want Fiddleford gone,” Ford says slowly.
“So you see why it makes so much sense for us all three to come see you,” she persists. “Fiddy shouldn’t be the only one who gets a vacation.”
“I’ll pay him!” Ford squawks indignantly. “I’m not asking–”
“I know it, Ford, I’m kidding!” Emmy laughs, her deep, hoarse voice gently teasing.
“Emmy, I have a lot of work to do,” Ford tells her, trying to hide his frustration. “Fiddleford and I, if he comes, will be very busy.”
“And if I don’t come, we’ll be all alone here anyway, Ford, Tate’n me,” she points out. “If, up in Oregon, you two spend all your wakin’ hours building a time machine or whatever, I won’t be any more by myself than I would be here.” She hesitates. “Look, Fiddy agrees. It’s been too long since we’ve seen you. We’d like to catch up. You oughta meet Tate.”
Ford has no idea (except that he does, a very stupid and wrong idea that he won’t entertain) why he ought to meet Fiddleford and Emma-May’s son. He’s never even seen a photo of the boy.
“I’m sure he’s great,” Ford says weakly. “But.” He can’t tell her that he’s trying not to want to see her, that wanting to see Fidds again was already so much. He can’t tell Emma-May that Bill wouldn’t like it if Fidds brought his whole family along to distract from their work. He can’t say that Gravity Falls is beautiful and anomalous in the way he’d always dreamed, in a way that she could appreciate for the wildness and strangeness, while Fidds would value it for its wealth of scientific oddities. Couldn’t possibly tell her that they’d both love the small town full of outdoorsy people that Ford hasn’t gotten to know, but that they undoubtedly would, given half a chance.
He couldn’t ever say to Emma-May that he can see her and Fiddleford living in Ford’s little town as clearly as he sees the gnomes that steal his trash can lids.
Emmy takes a breath, clearly planning to carry on with her campaign, but Ford, suddenly feeling decidedly weak-willed, interrupts.
“You’re right. You’re right. I have no idea how long I’ll need Fiddleford, so… yes, fine. All three of you. Come to Gravity Falls,” Ford is grinning foolishly. He always could be talked into any old crazy scheme, given the right circumstances and light persuasion.
He’ll probably regret it, and Bill won’t be happy, and he may possibly be miserable when Fidds and Emmy leave again, but why not? Why not do something slightly crazy? He doesn’t have much time left before he becomes a household name and he won’t be able to get away with this kind of silly, emotionally-driven decision.
“Great! Oh, Ford, that's great. I can’t wait to see you! Fiddleford and me have got some things to sort out down here, but how about I have Fiddy call you tomorrow and we’ll let you know when we’ll be there?”
“That sounds great, Em.” Ford can’t believe that he’s standing alone in his kitchen, blushing because a girl wants to come over. “I can’t wait.”

I don’t want to hurt you
Wanda x male reader Chapter 2
Y/N POV:
I open my eyes while groaning in pain to see that I’m in a glass chamber. I didn’t remember what happened or how did I get knock out to begin with. All I could remember was accepting an apology.
Tumblr media
A few minutes pass until someone enter the room. They appear to be tall man with a small beard and mustache. There’s a glowing device on their and they’re wearing glasses. The only separating me and the man were the glass chamber I was in.
“I see you’ve finally woken up.” Says the man.
“Where am I?” I ask him.
“Where you can’t hurt anyone.” He answers.
I try to use my powers to read his mind, but my powers don’t want to work anymore. I realize that the chamber that I’m in cancels my powers.
“Smarter than you look.” I say with an impressive voice.
“Listen, the thing is you won’t be able to get out.” He says to me. “So just answer our questions.”
“I can’t.” I tell him.
“Why not?” he asks me.
“You haven’t asked me a question yet.” I answer.
Avengers POV:
They all started to laugh at what the man said to Tony.
“Even if you ask me, I won’t answer anything.” I added.
“You just got burned Tony,” said Bruce.
“Please someone help me not forget this.” Says Nat.
Y/N POV:
“Shut up.” Says Tony through the microphone in his ear.
“Well, at least a hint?” He asks me.
“Fine” I answer. “Sokovia, 2000.”
The man leaves the room. I wait to see what results I get from what I said.
3rd person POV:
The Avengers were confused on the hint that the man gave them.
“Anyone know what happened in Sokovia in that year?” asks Steve to the team.
“The only people that know is Wanda and Pietro.” answers Natasha.
Steve looks at the twins.
“Did anything happen in that year?” asks Steve.
“Well, in that year we were just kids.” answers Pietro. “We only had movie nights and then-.”
“Stop lying Pietro.” Wanda interrupts. “You know what happened that day.”
“What do you mean?” asks Tony.
“I think you should get my mom and dad.” Wanda suggests. “They know what happened that night.”
“FRIDAY, bring the Maximoff family here.” says Tony.
It takes two hours for the Maximoff family. It takes a while for feel like home and after a while of chatting they decide to give them the question of what happened in 2000.
“Why is that of your interest?” asks Olek (AKA MR. MAXIMOFF)
“Well, there’s a prisoner here that just talked about Sokovia and the Year.” answers Sam.
“Wait, how does the prisoner look like?” asks Iryna (AKA MRS, MAXIMOFF)
“I don’t know. Tall, not much personality in them, and with powers with dark blue color.” answers Tony.
“Well, back in the year... God I wish I could’ve done something.” Says Iryna as her voice almost breaks.
“It’s ok, I tell them the story.” Said Olek. “Back in 2000, we were having a movie night with our kids, everything was going fine until the whole house started to shake, we didn’t know what was going, all we could do was put the twins under the table.”
“What happened after the earthquake.” asks Vision.
“Me and Iryna looked outside to see a blue force flied surrounds our house and on the ground was a little boy.” said Olek, “He made the force field, after he turned it off, he turned around, saw us, and ran away before we could get to him.”
“Every day, I feel terrible for not doing anything for the little boy.” say Iryna as she starts to cry.
“I believe we might’ve grabbed the little boy.” says Vision as Iryna and Olek look at him confused. “The color of the force field may be the same as the one color that the man used to attack us.”
“What do you mean?” Asks Olek.
“On the last mission we were at there we brought someone with us with the exact color of their powers.” says Rhodey.
“We may have the man that save your lives.” adds Clint.
“I don’t know if it’s a coincidence, but it worth the try.” says Nat.
“Show us the way” says Olek.
They were about to lead the family in the cell until a red portal opens in front of them. A woman comes out the portal. The Avengers started to tense up, because they don’t know who she is.
“I’m sorry, what did I miss?” asks the woman.
“I’m sorry, who are you?” asks Tony.
“Oh right, where are my manner?” She speaks. “I’m Piper L/N and you have my brother in a cell, so that’s unacceptable.”
“Wait, the man in the cell is your brother?” asks Iryna.
“Yeah, I need to get my brother out that glass chamber.” answer Piper. “So, can you pl-
Piper gets interrupted because she got hugged by Iryna.
“Oook, you know my brother Y/N.” she says.
“Yeah, but when did you have a brother?” asks Olek.
“Since, forever.” says Piper.
“But how? I never saw you in Sokovia” says Olek.
“Oh, the night.” says Piper. “I met him after that night.”
“Ok, you got to explain this to us.” says Bruce.
Piper started to explain who he was. Apparently, Y/N is demon, he always hid his powers because he hated himself for what he was and that he couldn’t control his powers when he’s mad. She explained that Y/n was travelling through world to see if he can find home, but during the half of the travel he stopped a missile and about two people that saw him. She then said that after that she found him, found out that he was her brother, so she took him in her house, and now they had to go separate now. Until now.
“So, your brother’s name is Y/N?” asks Steve.
“Yes, and you guys have him in a cell.” answers Piper. “So, please let him out.”
“Yeah, not happening.” says Tony.
“Why not” asks Piper.
“Because he almost killed us.” answers Nat.
“Hmmm, Strange.” said Piper. “Usually, he never leaves someone nearly dead when he’s mad.”
“Listen, He not coming out.” says Bruce.
“Ok. Let’s make a deal if I can make him get out then you’ll leave him be.” says Piper.
“If you can get him out?” asks Steve.
“Yes.” answers Piper.
“Ha, like to see you try.” says Tony.
Piper POV:
Piper then goes to the cell where Y/N is located. When she enters the room where Y/N is at Y/N is surprised to see Piper again.
“Well, this is quite a surprise.” says Y/N.
“Happy to see me.” Piper asks.
“Yes, haven’t seen you for two years.” answers Y/N.
“Well, here we are now.” says Piper.
“You know that Avengers are here.” says Y/N.
“I know and they know as well.” say Piper.
“... You told them, right?” asks Y/N
“Yep.” answer Piper.
“I’m not trusting you ever again.” says Y/n. “Are you here to break me out?”
“Yes.” answer Piper.
“And how are you going to do that?” asked Y/N.
“I’ll use this ball crystal to get you out.” Speaks Piper as she summons a ball crystal.
“Are you sure that’s not the one the splits you?” asks Y/N.
“Nope, it’s the teleporter.” answers Piper.
She throws the ball that goes through glass wall. Y/N then goes inside the ball which she could only see his face.
“Oh no” Y/N says.
The ball then splits into 5 parts. Each one turn into a color. The first one turn into Red, the second Yellow, the third white, the fourth black, and the fifth green. From each crystal came out a Y/N with their eyes glowing the color of their crystal
To be continued...

The Deepest Part of Us [Chapter 3]
Tumblr media
Pairing: Khan Noonien Singh/Original Female Character
Summary: Thrown through a teleportation portal gone wrong, Shelby finds herself on the rocky and dangerous planet of Qo’noS, hurt and far away from home. Upon meeting a man named Khan who’s on the run from Starfleet, she confides in him that he can get her home, but of course, not without trouble.
Rating: E
Warnings: Khan being Khan, canon-typical violence.
“We’re going to be heading across some hostile territory today. I need you to be quiet and obey everything I say. Do you understand?”
“Yes.”
Khan hadn’t been kidding when he said that they were going into more dangerous territory today. It was only about an hour after they had left the safety of the cave when she noticed the ships and patrols hanging about. She had stayed close behind Khan, making sure to keep her guard up and to be aware of her surroundings. The pelt that Khan had made for her guarded her from the violent winds of the planet, even though nearly knocked her off her feet a few times.
It had been a few days the incident with the Klingon who had nearly killed her and since Khan had given her a little bit of blood, the wound on her arm had healed to only a bit of a scar. Khan had been surprised as well, impressed that his blood had worked on her so well.
She was thankful and knew she had to do something to repay him, even though he said not to worry about it.
Shelby came back to reality as the wind knocked her into Khan’s back and she grunted, letting out a sigh. “Sorry,” she said.
Khan didn’t reply to her. They moved along the wall, aware of the nearby patrols. After a moment, Khan put his arm out to block her from moving. Shelby went still and listened as she heard Klingon speak nearby.
“We found a dead soldier not too far from here. And it wasn’t an animal.”
“There’s someone on the planet, human from what it smells like.”
“They know we’re on the planet,” Shelby said quietly to Khan.
“I know. There’s only two of them there.” Khan said and reached into his coat to bring out a dagger. “Stay here and don’t move.”
Shelby stayed right where she was at as Khan quickly maneuvered to a large boulder not too far from them. She watched closely as he vanished around the side of the boulder. Not even five seconds later, she heard the sound of laser firing and the sound of a knife squelching over the violent wind. After a moment of silence, Khan came back around the corner of the wall and gestured for her to follow him. Shelby got up and was just about within arm’s reach of him when lights shone down on them, nearly blinding Shelby.
A Klingon ship hovered in the air above them, and a voice came from the speaker, telling them not to move.
“Shit,” she whispered.
“Let’s go!”
She jerked when a gloved hand took hold of her own and yanked her along, away from the lights of the ship. Shelby kept up with Khan’s fast pace as he dragged her through the rocky surface, avoiding the spotlights of the ship. A laser fired off and hit a spiked rock formation just behind them, causing her to yelp in surprise at the echo of the blast.
Khan dragged her behind a large rock that formed over in a U shape. It was small and definitely wouldn’t fit both of them under it.
“What do we do?” Shelby asked, her breath a bit out of sorts due to running.
“I’ll have to take care of them,” Khan said and guided her to sit down under the rock formation. “Stay here and don’t move,”
He left before she could say anything and she heard the shouts of Klingon patrol, the sounds of laser guns firing off and shouts of pain, then silence. After a moment of uncertain clarity, she made her way out of the rock formation and stood up, walking down the small walkway through the rocks. She came to the clearing where the ship was and Khan fighting with another Klingon. Khan dodged a punch from the Klingon and kicked it square in the chest, causing it to drop something and fall backwards against the ship. Khan used the same dagger as before and stabbed the Klingon in the neck, and Shelby flinched when she heard the Klingon gurgle before dropping to the ground.
That seemed to be all of them, but-
Shelby frowned as she heard a beeping noise and she glanced down at her feet, seeing something small with a red light blinking on it.
And it was beeping.
“Khan?” she called.
It happened within seconds. There were two more beeps coming from the small object and before the last beep sounded, Khan tackled her to the ground and a blast went off, destroying the rocks and some of the surrounding area around them. Shelby couldn’t even speak as she moved fast across the ground and then rolled a few times before she and Khan finally came to a stop.
“Oh fuck….” She muttered, her head swimming and ears ringing from the blast.
Khan grunted underneath her, and she blinked the dizziness from her vision before she glanced down and realized she was mere inches away from Khan’s face. She was being held tightly against him; his hands tight on her back.
“Are you alright?” he asked.
“I-I think so, yeah.” She replied shakily.
Khan sat up slowly with her and she held onto his shoulders as he sat them up. When Shelby pulled her hand away, she noticed it was coated in blood. And not hers. “Khan, you’re bleeding.” She said, getting up with him.
“I’m fine,” he said. “Wait here,”
Khan walked over to the still intact ship and disappeared inside for a moment, coming out with a couple bags of what looked like guns and other supplies, as well as a very large one. “Let’s go. There should be a cave nearby.”
Shelby followed, not convinced that he was fine. They reached a cave about a half-hour later and Khan set everything down. Shelby, having picked up large branches, sticks and tinder along the way, put sticks and tinder in a pile and started up a fire. She turned to Khan afterwards as he took off his coat and she gasped, putting a hand to her mouth. “Khan, your back…!”
His entire shirt was cut at the back, and she could see cuts and lacerations along his back. She knew that he would heal quickly, but she needed to at least wipe the blood and dirt away. Khan didn’t need her to tell him to take off his shirt, as he already was and pulled off the undershirt underneath as well.
“Oh my god….” She said quietly in disbelief, crouching down to look at the cuts more closely. “I’m so sorry, I didn’t mean for you to get hurt.”
“It was not your fault, Shelby.” Khan said, in a gentler tone than she would have imagined. “Just wipe it down and then we both need rest.”
Shelby nodded and looked in the bags he had grabbed, finding some large towels. She grabbed a couple of them and went outside the cave to wet the towel using the small stream of water coming down the rocks. When the towel was soaked, she went back inside and kneeled down behind Khan, and began to wipe up his back.
She realizes that she’s sitting behind a half-naked man, cleaning up his wounds. Shelby never imagined she would be in this kind of situation, once again. She felt a soft flush on her cheeks but cleared her throat and calmed down in favor of cleaning up Khan’s back. She wouldn’t deny Khan was attractive, but he was dangerous. And a wanted man for murder. There wasn’t a possibility for them to be anything remotely more than this in the future. Honestly, if he got caught by Starfleet, he would be put back into cryostasis, or worse, killed.
It wouldn’t, couldn’t happen and she accepted that. It was just her luck that the first man she became attracted to was a wanted man for murder and more. There wasn’t a point in trying to make something of whatever relationship they had, or partnership.
She finished cleaning Khan’s back about fifteen minutes later and watched as one of the very small cuts healed before her eyes. Flesh knitted back together and there was no scar or mark left behind. “You should be healed in what, an hour?” she asked, wringing the towel out in a large dip in the floor.
“Yes.” Khan replied, slipping his clothes back on, even though they were bloody and dirty. Didn’t have much choice in clothing at the moment. “Get some rest. I’ll take first watch.”
“Are you sure?” she asked.
“Yes.”
Shelby nodded and leaned against the wall, closing her eyes. It wasn’t long before she fell asleep, her head rolling off to the side a bit.
When she woke, Khan informed her it had been about six hours. She woke up and ate some food that they had saved and sat close to the fire, taking watch so Khan could get some rest. He used the pelt to lay on and rested his head on his arm, dozing off shortly.
Shelby sat for a while, tending to the fire. She thought about her family, how she missed them. She had been on the planet for a good week now, and they had probably reported her missing soon after she had been sucked into the portal that brought her to Kronos. She sighed softly. After a while, she heard some soft noises coming from Khan and she glanced over to him, noting the small twitching gestures. He must’ve been dreaming. Did Augments dream?
Shelby scooted over quietly and heard Khan mumble underneath his breath. She gently slipped a hand underneath his head, being extremely careful not to wake him and lifted his head enough so she could let him rest his head on her thigh. Khan tensed and she waited for him to wake, but to her surprise, he seemed to relax and calm down. She waited a moment, before she rested her hand on his head and stroked her fingers through soft, dark locks.
Khan seemed to relax further underneath her touch, and he sighed quietly, before going still.
Shelby smiled softly and continued to lightly stroke through his hair to ease his sleeping.
Some things were still good after all.
~ ~
When Khan began to stir about four hours later, Shelby didn’t notice it at first until she felt him stiffen underneath her hand and he shot up, away from her. Cerulean blue eyes locked with her hazel ones and she swallowed.
“What were you doing?” he demanded.
“You…...you were having a bad dream,” Shelby replied, albeit a bit nervously. “My mother used to stroke through my hair whenever I had a bad dream and it always helped calm me down. I didn’t mean to be invasive, Khan.”
Khan stared at her with what looked like disbelief before he sighed softly. “I didn’t have a mother, or a father. I didn’t feel things such as comfort or relaxation. The sensation was foreign, but….it was not unwelcomed.”
“Oh,” she said, and gave him a soft smile.
“Don’t make it a habit though,” he said.
“Sure,” she nodded.
Shelby jumped as a sudden voice cut through the wind and it seemed to startle Khan as well.
“Attention, John Harrison. This is Captain Hikaru Sulu of the USS Enterprise. A shuttle of highly trained officers is on its way to your location. If you do not surrender to them immediately, I will unleash the entire payload of advanced long-range torpedoes currently locked onto your location. You have two minutes to confirm your compliance. Refusal to do so will result in your obliteration. If you test me, you will fail.”
“Who the fuck was that?” Shelby asked.
“Starfleet,” Khan replied, standing up. “Let’s go.”
“What? Why? I thought you were trying to stay away from Starfleet.” She said, confused as Khan stomped out the fire and gathered up the bags. “Khan, what’s going on?”
“Those advanced long-range torpedoes they have, yes?” he said, glancing over at her.
“What about them?” she asked, putting the pelt on over her head.
“Those aren’t torpedoes. They’re cryostasis tubes.”
“For who??”
“My crew.” He replied, his expression stoic and serious.

You’re back!
NOTE: This is an alternate timeline from the comic where Frisk in Roman’s world resets and Roman accidentally arrives in the wrong timeline of PinkTale.
A year has passed peacefully in PinkTale, Shadow was fully accepted by everyone in PinkTale, even Sans. Joyce was happy, though she missed her best friend...
Joyce took a walk through a familiar street where she met Roman, arriving at the alleyway where they became friends. Joyce sighed sadly, there wasn't anything she can do, no way to the world Roman is in and no way to contact her. Joyce turned but then heard the familiar sound of a portal and turned back.
There stood Roman, Joyce didn't wait, she ran forward and tackled her friend in a hug "ROMAN!" She yelled, tears falling down her face. "I missed you so much" Joyce said her emotions pouring out from her soul. "Do I know you?" Roman asked causing Joyce to look up at her in shock, Roman's face was a face of total confusion, "Roman now's not the time to joke" Joyce said thinking that this had to be a joke.
Roman kept that confused look "um...I think you have me confused with someone else?" She said, Joyce then noticed...Doing a Check she realised.
Soul: Monster
Roman's soul was broken, not fixed...No...Did the Frisk of her world reset? Joyce felt her tears return in full force, her best friend...Was gone. Roman was uncomfortable, a strange child was crying and hugging her, she also messed up her rule, she couldn't flee however with the kid holding onto her.
"What about Shadow?" Joyce asked, Roman tilted her head "Shadow?" She asked confused...Though it sounded...Familiar...But how? Joyce tugged Roman's arm and the skeleton was forced to follow, she didn't want to attack the kid "hey listen, I don't mean to cause any trouble, I'll leave" Roman said not wanting to mess up and get someone hurt because of her.
Because of her...Because she's a mistake...Because she messes up.
Joyce kept tugging "no your not leaving, y-you just need to remember then we can all be together...You're okay...You're still Roman" she said not wanting to accept that Roman was reset, that her best friend was gone forever. Arriving at her home she pushed open the door and pulled Roman in "Shadow?" She called out, please be here, he can fix this. "In here" Shadow called from the living room, Joyce tugged Roman in "please fix her" she said, Shadow's eyes widened and Roman's did as well.
Shadow felt tears come to his eyes and throwing away the book he was reading floated full slam into Roman in a hug "your back" he said, Roman was frozen...Who...No...She knew him? Her head hurt and she groaned in pain, Shadow looked up confused "is something wrong?" He asked as he touched her face gently to make sure she was okay. Roman saw memories rush through her mind, her and...Him.
"Shadow?" Roman said confused "how did you get here?" She asked, Shadow smiled "I fled through a portal remember?" He asked, Roman blinked "n-no...The last thing I remember was Doc switching that lever and then...Black...Then I woke up in the white void and you weren't there" she replied. Shadow pulled away, "I think she's been reset" Joyce cried out, Neela rushed to her friends side hoping to help with the sadness Joyce was feeling. Shadow was no longer crying happy tears, now the tears were of complete sadness and agony, Roman was reset...His sister...His family reset.
The Roman in front of him, wasn't his...She was gone. Shadow broke down, and Neela quickly tended to him, Shadow may have healed but he was fragile and this could break him. Roman stared, confused and lost. She didn't understand why were people crying? Did she do something wrong?
She must have...She always does...That's what she always does.
"I'm sorry" Shadow said bringing Roman back to the present "you weren't meant to find out this way" Shadow said and Roman tilted her head "this way?" She asked "I'm not...Your Shadow...I'm...An alternate one" he said. Roman understood now, there would be alternate realities of her and Shadow, so this must be a Shadow who's Roman was lost "I'm sorry...I shouldn't have come" she said feeling like this was all her fault.
"No...It was meant to happen...Just...Not in this timeline...But you need to return home, Serif is your Shadow" he explained, Roman gasped "what really?" She asked, "is it okay to tell her?" Joyce asked, Shadow sighed "we have to, it's for the best, go home and tell him you know" he said. Roman smiled "okay, I can do that thank you other Shadow" she said summoning a portal and heading through.
"What's going to happen?" Neela asked, Shadow sighed "I knew alternate us might be a possibility, basically she will forget...Other me will block off that memory and hopefully the next time she hops into PinkTale she will appear in the right timeline...The one where Joyce hasn't met Roman" he explained, Joyce hugged Shadow "but our Roman...S-She's..." She said before breaking down in tears unable to even finish her sentence. Shadow cried too, they all lost someone important.
But...Maybe their timeline will be successful...Maybe it won't end in a reset again...Shadow hoped...But now...He had to heal again...He was thankful he had Joyce and Neela with him. He had his family, it was time to mourn for the loss of a big part of it.

This Is Our Year
CHAPTER 2
Robin!” I exclaim, moving through the throng towards my sister. “Do you want to tell me what the hell is going on?”
Despite having to crane my neck to look up at Robin, my angry tone doesn’t fall flat. She sputters, looking to her companions for a quick answer. I point at her, bringing her gaze back to me.
“No lies, Robin. I’m serious. You could have been hurt or killed..”
“Kat, I–”
The curly haired Dustin comes to my right, giving an exaggerated grin.
“Hi, I don’t think we’ve met officially. I’m Dustin Henderson. From the resemblance and overt authority you so effectively exhibit, I’m guessing you’re Robin’s sister. Eddie talks about you a lot.”  He holds his hand out to shake and I hear Eddie hiss. Not to be deterred, the young man keeps going. “I’m also hoping due to the intimate moment we walked up on, you might be inclined to help us. Or Eddie, really.”
I look down at the hand Dustin holds out and then over at Eddie. He is fighting a blush but gives me a tentative smile, running his hand through his hair. I clasp Dustin’s hand, shaking firmly before he continues.
“Great. First and foremost, Eddie didn’t kill those people.”
I nod, “Yeah, I know.”
“You know? And you believe him?” That’s Steve, hands on hips as he keeps a protective eye on the members of the group.
“Well. I mean, he didn’t tell me exactly. I know Eddie. He’s not the serial killing type.”
“Absolutely!” Dustin says, “And we are trying to stop the guy who is doing the serial killing and clear Eddie’s name.”
I’m about to turn on Nancy and Steve, screaming for dragging not only four teenagers but my sister into this vigilante mission when Robin takes a hold of my shoulders.
“Kat, I need you to have a little faith here. The cops aren’t going to be able to stop this guy. This town… it’s not normal and this gang here has a lot of experience dealing with this type of thing. We’ll tell you everything but you gotta promise to just listen.” She lowers her voice. “For me.. Please?”
My lips maintain a thin line, but I nod tentatively. Robin smiles and puts her arm around my shoulders, leading us toward Skull Rock.
“It might be best to sit down.”
::::::
“No idea. All I know is that something is causing this disturbance and the last time we’ve seen anything like this, it was a gate. And I hope it is because then we’d have a way to Vecna and a shot at freeing Max from this curse.”
The group has been spitting information about gates, electromagnetic fields and possibly vampires for the past few minutes. I have been trying to breath through the anxiety seizing in my chest. Either these kids are experiencing a mass hallucination or there’s a hellscape inverse of the world where there are creatures being commanded by a man devil called Vecna who kills people to make portals for some reason. Neither were particularly calming.
Dustin begins walking off into the woods suddenly and I push myself to my feet, not wanting to be left alone with my mile a minute thoughts. Eddie joins me and I can feel the heat of his fingers next to mine. I want nothing more than to reach out and clasp his hand.
“Where are you going? Hey, hey, hey.” Steve calls out and Dustin stops, turning towards him. “Eddie’s still a wanted man. We can’t just go for a hike in the woods.”
Dustin holds up his compass. “This steel capsule might be the key to saving both Max and Eddie.” Bringing his gaze towards the aforementioned, he asks, “What say you, Eddie the Banished?”
I turn, looking up at him. I can see my trepidation and fear reflected back at me when our eyes meet. They’re dark but warm, a rock in this endless sea of information. He’s trying his damndest to be brave.
“I say you’re asking me to follow you into Mordor, which, if I’m totally straight with you,” He looks at his young friend now, “I think is a really bad idea. But, uh…The Shire is burning.”
Despite myself, I find myself grinning at his quotation. Dustin hops excitedly, recognizing the lines. Eddie turns back to me, putting his hands on my shoulders. Leaning down, he makes sure I look him in the eyes.
“But that doesn’t mean I will drag you into the flames. If you want to forget this happened, I think all of us would understand. In fact I would love nothing more than to have you miles away from Hawkins, safe and sound.”
It’s tempting, I won’t lie. I am not a girl with superpowers like this El they keep mentioning. I am not an experienced monster hunter. This morning I woke up and was just a young woman trying to enjoy her spring break. But now… now I’m scared. Not just scared for me but scared for my town, my parents, my sister, but also Eddie.
He’s frustrating and impulsive but he’s also one of the most kindhearted humans I’ve ever met. Walking into that library to tutor him, I didn’t expect much. But day after day, not only did he chip away at any previous notions of him, but he built a beautiful trust that I don’t extend to many people. He made an effort to make me comfortable while pushing me to be an even better version of myself. And I tried to do the same for him. As time went on it seemed impossible that we hadn’t always been so close.
Whether the villain is actually a vengeful creature or religious mania from a town looking to point their grief at someone, I won’t be leaving his side.
Smirking up at him and putting on a brave face that I do not feel, I put my hands on my hips.
“I’d like to cash in that honorary Hellfire Club membership now.”
His lips quirk up and he squeezes my shoulders. I hear Dustin’s excited laughter causing my own grin to grow. Eddie wraps his arm around my shoulder and we begin to walk.
“So Mordor it is.”
::::::
Eddie points his flashlight at the compass in Nancy’s hand which is currently going haywire. Steve begins to remove his socks, tossing them aside.
“Steve, what are you doing?” Nancy asks, eyeing him warily.
“Somebody’s gotta go down and check this out.” He continues to undress despite the worry on Nancy’s face. “Unless one of you four can top being a Hawkins High swim co-captain and a certified lifeguard for three years–”
“In a pool.” Words are somehow out of my mouth before I’ve processed what they actually are going to imply. Steve pauses and the group looks at me. “Don’t get me wrong, those things are great. But swimming in open water and swimming in a pool are a little different. It’s going to be cold, visibility isn’t going to be great, and there’s bound to be a slight current. I think I might be a better option here. I’ve got experience.”
Eddie’s eyes widen and he groans, “Oh shit. You’re grandma’s lake house.”
Robin looks at him in confusion, “You know about grandma’s lake house?”
“He knows about the lake house. Not important. What is important is I have a lot of experience with open water swimming. If I know what I’m looking for, we can be in and out of here much faster.”
There’s a pause but then Steve nods, “Okay.”
“Okay?!” Eddie exclaims. He turns to me, “No, Kat, you don’t need to do this–”
I grab his hands, making my voice soothing for both of our benefits, “Eddie. It’ll be fine. I want to help and this fits my very limited skill set.”
He searches my face and then squeezes my hands back, “Fine. But if you’re not up within five minutes, I’m sending Harrington in after you.”
I chuckle despite the butterflies in my stomach. “I’m sure Steve appreciates the vote of confidence.”
Kicking off my own sneakers and socks, I stand in the rocking vessel. As I’m undoing my belt, I hear the feedback of the walkie talkie.
Eddie mutters into the speaker, “Henderson, Sinclair, put the binoculars down or I’m going to make Vecna look tame. You too, Harrington.”
I look over my shoulder and see Eddie is trying his best to avert his eyes. Feeling an uncharacteristic streak of confidence, I remove my oversized button up and black jeans, handing them to Eddie.
“Keep them warm for me, Munson.” I whisper. Despite himself, I do see his eyes briefly flick up and move quickly back down as they catch on my black underwear. His knuckles go white as he grips the clothes and he nods.
“Will do, Buckley.”
“The boat is not soundproof, Kat.” Robin whines. “Please tell her what she’s looking for so I can not experience this anymore.”
Nancy supplies a succinct description of the gates previously created. Eddie hands me a plastic wrapped flashlight and as I move towards the edge of the boat, he warns, “Five minutes.”
I nod, “Five minutes.”
Then taking a deep breath, I dive into the water. It’s 65 degrees at best and I’m briefly stunned, brain freezing before I remember my purpose. Kicking down, the faint beam of the flashlight guides me. Thankfully Lover’s Lake isn’t terribly deep so soon I see the murky sediment of the lake bed.
Moving my light over the bottom, I scan my surroundings. Fish bones, rocks, algae, more fish bones and then there it is. Red, pulsing light. Not typical for the average Indiana underwater environment. I push towards it.
Once it comes into full sight, there is only one phrase going through my mind: It’s real. Well, that and some choice curse words but, the truth behind the gang’s stories sinks in fully. Getting closer, I hear a warbling sound on the other side. Tentatively, I reach out to touch the luminescent surface and pull back instantly when something flicks against the film. Dropping the flashlight,, I kick up toward the bottom of the boat.
Breaking the surface, I gasp in great lungfuls of air. My friends in the boat jerk back but I barely notice as I babble, “It’s there, it’s there. Holy fucking shit, the gate is very much there.” I grab the edge of the boat, trying to slow my heart beat. Steve high fives me and Eddie beams at me proudly.
Robin practically giggles into the walkie talkie, “Dustin, you're a goddamn Einstein. Kat found the gate, repeat, Kat found the gate.”
“What was it like?” Eddie asks, the excited gleam in his eyes he gets when he’s DMing shining bright from his position in the boat.
“Very red and glowy. Like a mini crater with this weird film over it. Something on the other side scared the sh–”
Before I was pulled completely under the water, I heard Eddie scream my name. Then there was nothing but inky blackness giving way to the red light of the gate. I put everything I had into trying to pull out of the grasp of the tentacle around my ankle but nothing worked. My cries for help go from silent to piercing echoes as I’m pulled through the film and slammed onto hard, ropey rock.
I can breathe again but the creature, whatever it is, drags me over the ground, my skin burning as it scraps against anything and everything in its path. I can barely register what’s going on around me. I just know it’s wrong. It’s all wrong.
For some reason it decides to let go of me, depositing me roughly on a pile of what looks like blackened, fallen trees. I lay there, stunned silent. Remotely, I registered red lightning and thought that was odd. But then came the screeches. Pushing up to my feet, I see what looks like bats careening towards me.
“Fuck.. fuck, fuck, FUCK!” I start to run. I don’t know where, but anywhere is better than here. “Help me, please!” Logically I knew that no one could hear me but logic starts to go out the window when your lifeline seems to be on an imminent countdown.
I can hear the horrible screeching getting closer and suddenly I’m rammed to the ground with the force of a getaway car. My head slams against the hard ground and I’m dazed, the pulsing burning pain briefly dimmed as my ears ring. The feeling of needle sharp teeth sinking into my shoulder and then my calf brings me back to a stark focus. I go to swing my fist at the bat on my shoulder when a tail wraps around my throat, closing off air.
While my body struggles to live, my brain becomes very black and white.
I’m going to die here.
My parents won’t know what happened to me.
Robin will know. At least there’s that.
I didn’t tell Eddie how I felt.
He knows. He knows.
He has to know.
Still.
I wish I’d told him.
Someone is above me.

Chapter 116
I’m standing between the God of Order and her long-lost, murderous daughter—and all I can think of is how they’re my family.
Family, only separated by a couple hundred generations.
“I do not have an antidote, but if I did, I would not give it to you. I want Cyrus to become a false god. It’s the only way I can be assured of my ultimate vengeance for taking my daughter from me, and he will feel the wrath of a true god when I am done.”
Well…that’s just the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard.
Bitch, you literally gave him the God stone so that he could become a god. How the fuck is the Crone’s plan any different from your own?
With that bone-chilling statement, she turns back to Hudson and Jaxon and tosses out, “Thanks, but I think I’ll stick with the winning team.” And then she walks through the portal.
Chapter 116 summary: The crone comes out, and Grace tries to tell Izzy that this is her mother. However, as you can imagine, this would be difficult to swallow even if you hadn’t been brainwashed by your father since before you could form memories. There’s a lot of talking, but it basically boils down to Cyrus having kidnapped baby Izzy and then lying about it. When Rowena showed up for the tea, the crone figured it out, which is why she asked Rowena to go find and bring back Izzy.
Grace tries to ask for the antidote that poisoned the gargoyle army, but the crone insists she doesn’t have it. Nor would she give it to Grace even if she did. She has a plan to make Cyrus suffer, but it apparently doesn’t involve anybody but herself.
Izzy still doesn’t want anything to do with any of this, and tries to leave through another portal Remy opened for her. Grace gets in front of her and tries one last time to try and make her see reason. However, as you can imagine, after having been brainwashed for a thousand years, the girl is not going to fucking listen to anything anybody says.
Chapter 117
[Rowena] wouldn’t be so ill if she hadn’t helped my parents hide my gargoyle.
Uh… No mention of how a psychotic dictator held Rowena in his basement for a decade?
Am I so desperate to save my people and fix my mistake that I’ve convinced myself, convinced my friends, that we are strong enough to win? And what happens if we aren’t?
Chapter 117 summary: After Izzy leaves, some of the other vampires (the ones who are technically named but aren’t important enough for you to actually remember) say that they knew of Izzy. That she hung around at the court a lot. But nobody knew that she was Cyrus’s daughter. Would have never guessed.
They go through to the witch court, where Rowena and Finn thank Grace for having helped rescue Rowena.
Everybody goes off to get some food and sleep.
Chapter 118
“I’m so sorry,” I whisper, because the need to apologize has been eating at me since I saw my aunt on the floor of that dungeon. “None of this would have happened if you hadn’t needed to get the tea for me—”
Chapter 118 summary: Since all of the kids from Katmere are now at the witch court, they have to double up on rooms. And since it’s Finn who’s assigning rooms, Grace ends up with Macy instead of Hudson. (Which is probably for the best, regardless.) Rowena comes by, so Grace goes to take a shower to give Macy a moment alone with her mom.
When she comes out, Rowena and Macy are looking through runes and at magic crystals. Rowena also says that her own sister is letting Macy pick three potions from her store, which Macy finds quite exciting.
Grace then apologises to her aunt for being the reason why Rowena had been locked up for a decade.
Chapter 119
“And the Crone said the first time we visited her that gargoyles are not immune to ancient magic! And that means—” She breaks off as a knock sounds at the door.
Chapter 119 summary: Rowena basically says that it’s not Grace’s fault that Rowena did something. Especially not when Grace herself didn’t even know most of the full picture until a few months ago. She goes on to say that they never meant to keep Grace’s powers locked up for so long. But after Rowena was locked up, it sent everybody into a panic.
Rowena continues on and says that Grace’s wild magic (from the bloodletter) is powerful, and angry that it hasn’t been free. That one day, it’ll overpower her gargoyle and human sides. She also says that Grace has a bit of witch powers, which she would have inherited from her dad. Grace doesn’t believe this at first, but then is happy to have a bit of something from him.

I wish you would write a Thorin suddenly finds himself walking through a portal, when he was just supposed to walk into his Throne room. He lands in your back garden, but is suddenly dizzy and ends up fainting. You think he's someone who had been to costume party or something and got drunk, and managed to faint in your garden. He wakes up to find you (his One) trying to lift and play with his Orcist.
Hi Anon and thank you for this question! 💙💚❤️
I'm not really able to write new fics now, but what would you say about a quick drabble? (Sorry for any errors in advance.)
If anyone would like to turn this little sketch of a story into a fic - be my guest, just let me know in advance, I'd love to read it! 💙

It was a sunny winter day and you were sitting on your glazed terrace, among several potted plants, admiring the cozy, snowy look of your back garden. The chair you sat in was very comfy, you were wrapped in a soft blanket, and there was a mug of hot cocoa next to you. You were reading your favorite fantasy book when a loud noise filled the air, like a crack of thunder, and then a flash of bright violet light blinded you for a few seconds.
When you blinked away the violet afterimage from your eyes, you saw a large, bulky figure standing right in front of you. He looked almost like a warrior from that book you have been reading, including the clothes, long dark hair and beard, and he even had a huge sword! He blinked a few times too, clearly disoriented, took a long step towards you, and then his legs buckled under him. You heard a low grunt when he fell to the ground, right into a heap of snow by the flower beds.
You ran to him and tried to bring him around, but nothing happened. You even splashed some water on his handsome face (yes, he definitely had a handsome face) - still nothing. Thanking yourself for taking that first aid course, you checked his pulse - it was strong and regular, and his chest kept on rising and falling. What a relief.
You were sure he had to be a cosplayer, judging by his elaborate costume. Expensive fabrics, hair beads, rings, heavy custom-made boots - this guy was probably aiming at winning a cosplay contest during this weekend's SciFi convention in town. You wondered what movie, book or tv series his costume was inspired by, but you couldn't recognize it. And to think you considered yourself a nerd… Plus, what about that crown? Golden and black, geometric shapes, making you think of two black birds facing each other. You have never heard of anything like it before.
What was he doing in your garden? You had no idea, but you promised yourself to ask him about it later. Most probably, your cosplayer friends decided to pull a prank on you. "You can get out now, guys, it's not funny!" You shouted at the nearby evergreen bushes, but no one appeared.
“Listen, you will catch a cold in this snow. You can stop pretending now,” you spoke to the handsome cosplayer. What if he was drunk? You lowered your face towards his and sniffed. Smell of leather, woodsmoke and fresh pine resin filled your nostrils. That definitely didn’t smell like alcohol.
It was impossible not to notice his long, soft eyelashes and the peaceful expression on his face. A sudden urge to brush your fingers against his bearded cheek spiked through you and you managed to stop yourself at the last moment. What a strange feeling… You shook your head and decided to move this joker away from your flower bed. Perhaps he’d figure out it was time to end this nonsense.
You tried to pull him, drag him, poke him (you might have even “accidentally” pinched him to see how much he was pretending), but he didn’t even budge. This guy, whoever he was, was massive! All solid muscle, plus his costume probably weighed a ton, too. He was just too heavy for you. Great. Plopping down on the ground beside him, you gave out a sigh and looked at him once again.
There was a small scar across one of the man’s dark eyebrows. Sword practice injury? Ah yes, the sword. It lay just beside him, its wide, curved blade shining in the sun. Standing up, you took it into your hands and was barely able to lift it. This was definitely not a prop, but a real blade reenactors would use in their duels. You took a slow, careful swing, and then another. Somehow holding the sword’s grip filled you with a sense of power. You swung it again, imagining you were in an epic battle, and then you saw a violet spark dancing along the length of the blade. You blinked in surprise and the spark was gone. Funny. Your eyes were playing tricks on you.
A rumbly voice behind you filled your ears, “Was it you who transported me here?” The cosplayer/reenactor guy was on his feet and approaching you fast through the snow. He wasn’t tall, but his broad shoulders and heavy gait made an impression. And he had a haughty look on his face. Oh boy, he was clearly one of those people who always acted in-character when in cosplay. “What? Who are you? What are you doing in my garden?” “I am Thorin Oakenshield, at your service. The magic… it brought me to this place,” he spoke as if to himself. “What magic?!” You asked but then you followed his gaze. Multiple violet sparks danced on the sword’s blade. Gasping, you dropped the weapon. “This magic,” the man took his sword from the ground, but now the sparks kept on dancing around both of you. Either he was a really, really good cosplayer who knew his special effects or… this guy was not all there. There had to be a logical explanation to all this.
Something rumbled in the distance and dark clouds started covering the sky. “Is this some kind of a trick?” You exclaimed, trying to shoo the weird sparks away. That was NOT funny. “Make it stop!” You added, shaking your head. The sparks only intensified their efforts.
The guy who pretended to be some kind of a king glanced at the darkening sky and muttered something. The words sounded guttural and completely alien to you. “I cannot. It is your magic, is it not?” He turned back to you, his blue eyes reflecting the violet light around you. “Ha-ha. Very funny. What movie is the character you’re cosplaying from, by the way? Was there a king in Maleficient called Thorin… whatever? Or are you someone from Wheel of Time? No, wait, there were no kings in season one, although you look sort of similar to that Dragon-wannabe guy. What about Vikings? You know, your hair…”
“You speak of things I do not comprehend. Why am I here? Is this a test? Have I not already proven my worth to Mahal?” He interrupted you. “Ugh! Stop pretending that you walked out of some fantasy book and tell your friends to stop this silly light show. Go back to your convention or wherever and leave me be!” You had enough of it all. Walking towards your home, you were getting ready to slam the terrace door in his face.
“Wait!” He grabbed your wrist in an iron grip.
Lightning shot through the sky. A weird tingling sensation prickled your skin and when you looked at his fingers encircling your wrist, dozens and dozens violet sparks bloomed from the place where your bodies met, spiralling around you.
“What is this?” You whispered, feeling slightly dizzy.
“It cannot be…” The man who called himself Thorin searched your face, his eyes widened. “This is a sign. You are my Zardûkhi! My Other Half. I never thought that this was possible for me…”
Thunder rumbled in the distance and wind picked up, angrily rustling through the trees. Suddenly, lightning painted the sky violet, startling you. In the middle of your garden a gaping hole seemed to float in the air, filled with the same bright sparks that surrounded you. “I don’t understand, this has to be a dream, and I have to wake up!” You mumbled. “This is not a dream, Khiê. It was written in the stars a long time ago,” the tone of his voice softened, his grip loosened and you found yourself staring at your hands as he held them gently in his; his warm skin against yours. “We are destined to be together. You and me. This magic has brought me to you.” “But how? I don’t even know you!” Thorin’s deep blue eyes flickered at your words. “We will have ample time to get to know each other if you decide to return with me,” he gestured towards that strange tear in the air. If you were in a fantasy book, a wizard would probably call it a “portal” or something.
You swallowed nervously, barely able to believe your eyes. Even if this was not a very strange dream, it would mean leaving your whole life behind.
“Let me take you to my kingdom and show you the beauty of my world,” he added.
Another lightning pierced the sky as you looked at the violet sparks buzzing in the air and then into the twin, hopeful pools of his eyes.
You took a deep breath and opened your mouth to speak. Deep inside your heart you knew what you were going to say.

Tom Wachowski serving as a character in Sonic’s story, and his pretty unique abilities that have an undervalued effect
(When I say undervalued I mostly mean by Tom himself)
It was amazing that Tom and Maddie actually serve a purpose in Sonic’s story, and are not just the human surrogate characters freaking out over everything. Sonic being a child, the creators put their foot down on the whole, this little kid has the weight of the world on his shoulders all alone, but it’s ok! Thing, and showcase how much he needs people like Tom and Maddie
Tom is a man who becomes a cop to help people (what a freaking concept) He is kinda the reason Green Hills feels so safe, he does things for people you wouldn’t ask a cop to do, I was taken aback, like do they think this is what a cop does? But then realized this is what Tom Wachowski thinks a cop does. He wants to help but sees it as boring busy work, and just didn’t realize how important that was, to be that law enforcer you knew you could go to, because you know he wants to help you and him being the Sheriff who freaking will! Help you with your small problems just makes it that much more important.
To me, his special ability is “safe space” he has made Green Hills a safe space by just actually taking the phrase “Serve and Protect” seriously and it doesn’t end there, both him and Maddie have this big cozy house that has room to spare and it just looks so safe
Tumblr media
Him and Maddie are safe and stable ground incarnate and Sonic helps him realize that. Sonic also brings out Toms really good instincts, because he does have really REALLY good instincts, he just doesn’t always understand what or why he is doing something 100% he just knows his gut is telling him to do it and trusts that. Pretty much the whole freaking road trip in the first movie is a good example.
Tumblr media
You can tell he just is kinda in a perpetual state of “what the fuck am I doing!?” There are also points where he looks a little distant like he is having an outa body experience almost. All he knows that it’s the right thing to help this lost kid. And they improve immensely in the second movie, well except when he opens the portal on the wedding alter (seriously why?)
Tom’s instincts of what he needs to be for Sonic are on point, he just can’t put them into words
Tumblr media
Tom knows that Sonic is avoiding feeling vulnerable and trying to grow up to fast and knows this is not good for him but he can’t find the right words to express what he feels by instinct. His instincts are trying to lead him to be the guidance Sonic needs, to be that safe space where he can feel vulnerable and it not be associated with danger.
This the only time he doubts himself, that’s why he thinks to himself “maybe Sonic was right” and that he was pushing to hard, he doubts himself because he has no words for why he feels this strongly, the only thing he is certain on is that he is making Sonic uncomfortable and upset. But thankfully he still listens to them by reassuring Sonic that they care about him more then anyone and he wasn’t alone. I have to give Tom credit for trying his hardest to find the words
Tumblr media
Even in the actual scene, he is trying so hard to get his point across, and he does, but it’s more of a sore spot then he thought, and he is still in a state of (what the fuck am I doing!?) he is just trying his best to get through it, thankfully his instincts are to reassure Sonic they are here for him, because he was at risk of Sonic shutting him out even more then he already was
And it’s not just Sonic! Both Tails and Knuckles need this safe stable space that Tom and Maddie provide like a drowning man needs air
Side note: it’s really sweet that even though he can’t swim he still let Tom take him out on the water, he knew he wouldn’t let anything happen to him
