He was later found screaming in his mayo pillow

Just like kondo, he heard of partners doing this and like it but never experience it before.

So when he sees it for the first time, it caught him off guard and filled him with a joy he doesn't understand

Questioning everything like 'why do I like this? Why is this filling me up with pride and joy? Why they look so cute?'

He wants to tell you how good you look but he too embarrassed to say anything.

So will Jade faced princess ever be mentioned in your au? Since LMK kinda goes "Don't trust history" I like to imagine she was just Red's babysitter and people assumed she was a mistress

Oh man I went down a fox-hole with this. I find her potiential as a character so good for the LMK verse. She could be a villain, an ally, a general, or in my personal fave idea: Ultimate Auntie. (One of my fave interpetations is by @harveylikestoart).

So my idea for Princess Jade Face / Jade Faced Princess / Yu Mian Gongzhu is this:

Birth name is Ruan Yu (soft jade/nephirite), but goes by Jade to her friends, and Auntie to anyone she deems younger than her.

Appearance wise: she's a humanoid fox spirit/Huli-Jing with dark green hair, pale skin, and big green eyes. Loves wearing really old fashioned long-sleeved hanfu that trail behind her (mostly to shield her tails without glamour), and is hyper-feminine. Wears obnoxiously patterned cheongsams while out and about.

Has a "feral" form of an eight-tailed dark green fox. She mostly shifts into this form for comfort. Think of the shapeshifter equivalent of taking off your bra after work.

She's a minor royal of a big family of fox demons. Same family as Jin & Yin's (+ Lin the accountant's) mom actually! She likes visiting them whenever she's in the city.

Knew DBK long before the Brotherhood days. They were childhood best friends in the Underworld who got mistaken for a couple a lot (cus "a guy and a girl can't just be friends" obvs /sarcasm). When PIF came along, Jade was one of DBK's biggest hypemen.

Her dynamic with DBK and PIF is essentially an older Traffic Light Trio, with her as the Mei. Green coded, high energy, and adored mutually by the others.

Because of her chill nature and hyper-fem style, people assume she's dumber than she actually is. She plays up her more "Barbie" qualities when she's tricking people/gaining information.

She's ridiculously good at handling babies and toddlers since she grew up with so many little nieces/nephews/niblings. When baby Red got fussy, a little visit from Auntie Jade immediately perked him up.

Wasn't an "active" member of the Brotherhood back in the day, but was a big supporter and intelligence gatherer. She almost got charged with treason after Sun Wukong's imprisonment, but PIF covered for her - despite their first impressions not being so great. She offically left the Brotherhood after Princess Iron Fan and Demon Bull King's engagement.

Was really sad alongside PIF and DBK when Red Son/Boy got taken to the Southern Seas by Guanyin to rein in his emotions. The "affair" mentioned in JttW wasn't an affair at all, but a human misinterpetation of how DBK was helping out his homie emotionally. Jade never forgave the writer for branding her as DBK's mistress.

Is extremely doting and embarassing to Red Son even when he's an adult. She's practically his second mother. Cheek pinching, calling him "kit", saying that he needs to eat more food, sharing baby photos with his friends etc...

The "Jade" in her name is not only a reference to her dark green hair/fur. Her family are Rock/Earth-type demons. She was so good at handling Red as a baby since fire doesn't bother her as much. She also owns a fox mask made of literal jade that she wore back in the Brotherhood days to hide her identity she thought looked mysterious and dramatic.

Doesn't have an actual spouse or biological kids of her own. She's happy being the best unmarried Auntie she can to all the kids.

Will def appear later in the "Monkey King and the Infant"-verse as Red's fave Auntie. Once PIF has "picked up" (read: kidnapped) Red back from the Southern Seas, Jade is immediately called in for babysitting backup.

She and Macaque became friends again on accident while working at the theatre together. She's part of the costume and makeup department, and it took them a few crossed paths to finally recognise one another. She is def partially to blame for Red's flair for dramatics.

Has a particular grudge against Zhu Bajie for whacking her with the rake. Has a nasty scar that starts on the back of her head down to her shoulder blades from the fight. Was extremely cold towards Pigsy before she realised (very embarassed) that he was just Bajie's decendant.

Initially disliked Sun Wukong when they reunited, but quickly it became clear that the the two's more loud, reckless natures bounced off one another. Are rivals for the title of "Best Babysitter".

Spoils baby MK and the other kids rotten. Doesn't matter if the baby is a mystic monkey, dragon, cat demon, human, or demon bull calf; baby is baby.

Takes an obscene amount of luggage with her no matter where she goes. Is "hairdryer in her purse" kind of prepared.

Yips when she's excited/happy. Also chirps in response to Baby MK's monkey chirping. The language crossover of fox and monkey sounds is surprising.

Voice claim: Diane Morgan/Philomena Cunk. She has a softer British accent compared to her related demon niblings. Red Son may or may not have developed his accent from her.

Gosh I love weird women characters.

More thoughts on WOT (Season 2, ep 7 and 8)

The series continues to absolutely light the sky on fire, and yes I mean that literally, given the season finale. I know that there's been a lot of hate from certain quarters, expressed towards the television writers, but imo there have been so many smart changes made to compress the gargantuan source material that I honestly now see this as a completely different universe from the novels. In many ways, it's the universe that I imagined when I first read the books in the mid-90s, the potential that I glimpsed that still made me a fan when I was frequently frustrated by Robert Jordan's prose.

For example, the Forsaken were fascinating because they were different than other villains of the time. They weren't actually faceless archetypes. They were professional people who had been influential in their fields, as well as strong in the One Power, which made them useful tools for the Dark One. Over time, post-Breaking, people began to think of them as archetypal demons who had existed for as long as the Dark One had existed but when we were exposed to the Forsaken as individuals in the narrative, we saw that they were petty and venal and self-interested and nihilistic. The books do this well, but, dare I say, the television show expresses this more clearly. So far it has shown Ishamael as a man who is deeply depressed, who sees no point to living when the mistakes made in one live will simply be made in the next (and since he has empirical prove of reincarnation, there's no refuting this). He's tired of the cycle and wants out. Unlike what we know of the other Forsaken, at least from the books, his did not swear to the Dark One for material or artist or emotional benefit. He fully supports the Dark One's ultimate goal of breaking the Wheel for all time, and this is the reason why he is the devil's main man. (It's also the reason Lanfear did and must betray him, despite their closeness). Keep in mind also that his profession in the AOL was "philosopher." Presumably, this means that, like Lanfear and a couple of the others, he was an academic. He published or perished. His wrote nihilistic books that became very popular. Also like Lanfear, he personally knew Lews Therin. In the books, they knew each other well but weren't necessarily close friends. I think the writers have merged Demandred’s role with Ishamael's in the show, however, because they portray Lews Therin, Lanfear, and Ishamael as having been the best of friends, a golden trio. I adore the change and the tension and sorrow it brings to their interactions, but despite their closeness, these characters were still very different from each other. Unlike the philosopher Elan Morin, Lews Therin was a professional politician. His goals were practical, if not always tenable, his moral code (which is entirely of his own making) seemingly strict and unbending, by the commentary we've been privy to as well as the flashbacks (which are probably my favourite part of the whole show; the nuanced portray of Lews Therin is magnificent), and it was probably that endbending nature that drove his friends away from him.

Like Ishamael, Lews Therin also wrote books, but books of social theory and political commentary. He was less of an abstract thinker than both Ishamael (philospher/logician) and Lanfear (scientific researcher, probably a physicist). A scientist and a politician think very differently. While the former might painstakingly determine why a theory will or will not work, the latter is likely to simply insist that an idea is good and force it through--which is exactly what Lews Therin did. Despite evidence of a harrowingly poor outcome, he leads the attack with the "Hundred Companions," his closest supporters in the Hall of Servants, on Shayol Ghul.

Where am I going with this? Essentially, that there are no villains here in the mythic sense, just selfish people, and likewise there are no heroes, just people skilled enough to fight when required. Ishamael and Lanfear swore oaths for personal reasons. Lanfear supposedly joined the Dark One so that she could win Lews Therin back. I expect that's not entirely true, and she's probably harbouring a great deal of unexamined motive, but it is very human. And other Forsaken swore their loyalty to this extradimensional being that they actually know very little about for surprisingly silly and petty reasons. Sammael wants to be taller?? Asmodeon wants to write better music? Very genre blind. There is a great deal of artistic lore regarding selling one's soul to the devil for increased artistic ability, but we are talking about an eternity of damnation here, and the bill always comes due. So Asmodeon is not a demon or an archetypal villain. He's a man who made a stupid decision. And so are the they all, excepting perhaps Ishamael, who is the only one who seems to know what he got into (maybe he had a few ancient books of lore about deals at the crossroads in his library).

This humanization of "the bad guys" has been a theme throughout the show, and we have seen it again and again across political lines. In the finale, we see Lanfear and Ishamael sitting together, still friendly even in their antagonism. We see the antagonists making poor choices for very human reasons, like Liandrin wanting to save her son and then losing him anyway. Like Barthones becoming a Darkfriend to advance his position in the city and please his mother, only for his mother to retreat in horror and imprison him. These things render their choices absoltely moot, but their vows hold them in chains. With few exceptions (Lord Ingtar now and you know who later) no one ever tries to reject those vows, because these people continue to rationalize their choices as they go along, inventing new excuses for themselves, like Liandrin, who continues to serve even after Lanfear murders her son. It's brilliant and insightful, and it's the primary reason that I not only love the series but looked forward to examining it on a technical level every week.

The finale ending did not disappoint. Mat blows the Horn, and whatever anyone says, it makes so much sense that he was one of the Heroes already. My guess is he was Aemon the last time around, since Mat's always been closely tied to Manetheren. I love that Ishamael set him in to kill Rand too. That was wonderfully clever, since Ishamael does not wish to do it himself, and it displays his skill in manipulation to great effect and gives Mat a more active role.

Perrin is now fully a Wolfbrother (my personal headcanon about Wolfbrothers is that they were wolves in their previous lives). Elayne heals Rand's wound and sets their romance in motion, while Egwene is transformed utterly by her experiences. The girl from the Two Rivers is gone forever. In her place is a soldier with an iron heart. Moiraine (clothed in a costume that resembles that of an Asian warrior) does her part to proclaim Rand the Dragon Reborn (and there's a warning in Ishamael's statement that he is so very like Lews, when we just saw the extent of Lews Therin's ruthlessness in the flashbacks, so we can expect dire things to come as Rand undoubtedly will begin to unravel under the stress of war as well as the Taint). And Ishamael gets not only what most would say he deserves, but what what he desires: death. But he leaves a little surprise for Lanfear on his way out the door. Moghedien is so very creepy/scary and seems genuinely mentally ill. I love that they show her still in the clothes of the previous age, just awoken from her sleep and ready to do her absolute worst. It's a great starting point for the next season.

The only thing that I really missed from The Great Hunt, and hope will show up soon in some form, is the journey through the Portal Stones that reveal alternate pasts and futures for the characters. I do wonder if it might have been thematically replaced by the tea that reveals past lives. This is one of my favourite innovations in the show, and actually something that's been my headcanon since I was a teenager reading the series for the first time. There had to be some reason, I thought, that these people of the far future treat reincarnation not as a matter of religious faith but of concrete, undeniable reality. They know with absolute certainty that everyone dies and is born again, endlessly. They know that when the Dragon comes, the title will not be symbolic, but one that belongs to the man who was factually Lews Therin Telamon in a previous life. That is why they fear the Dragon. Because he will be the one who broke the world, come again. And so there must be a proof, a way of truly knowing that souls are reborn. My idea was always a ter'angreal, but perhaps the tea is a psychotropic substance which opens up the pathways to the soul and its migrations. And of course, the way of demonstrating that these aren't just hallucinations would be to access memories of a recent lifetime and track down physical proof of it. So I was delighted that someone saw the necessity of such a proof in the world of WOT, just as I always did.

I've already seen that Season 3 was confirmed and has begun production, and I am so excited to see it and all of the new exciting changes and directional choices!

hi im just gonna put my thoughts on every clone high ship i can think of here

jfgogh - i think its cute. i can definitely see jfk like uplifting gogh and him falling in love over like the most basic display of kindness and jfk just being like “haha woah there guy i didnt mean it like that” but then he realises he Does

gogh x gandhi - LOTS of mixed feelings on this one but it is pretty interesting truth be told. like, the way gogh didnt just sit back and take what gandhi did to him and instead retaliated, i like that, i like the thought of two tiny guys having the most unnecessarily intense rivalry ever, but i know that isn’t really the way the ship is portrayed often rather than wholesome stuff . you interpret ships however you want though

gfk i think is the name for it - im so sorry as a gandhabe connoisseur i know how annoying it is when people say this about a ship that absolutely entraps you but i think jfk and gandhi are more accurate together as just silly friends who see eachother like once a month. jfk casually brings up a girl hes dating (or rather just having sex with frequently) and gandhi is like wait what happened to the other one? like hes very out of the loop but he listens and they both hype eachother up a lot

ceasgogh, gogh x christo, ceaser x christo, whether it’s any of those seperately or polyamory - i love this one so very much for literally no reason. maybe its like a nostalgia thing cuz i remember people talking about them sometimes in 2020 and being like Aw that’s cute but idk something about them feels so like. objectively correct. like yep that’s the little background trio standing together in an episode as they should be

abefk i think - i like it!! even though it’s barely known apart from jokingly i really like the classic 2000s rivalry between a nice boy and an asshole jock thing that was going on between them before ponce’s death, i admit i miss their interactions. i miss how theyd refer to eachother with their last names. also the part in season 2 episode 6 where they both were recalling memories of the grassy knoll and abe went “i used to get food thrown at me” and jfk continued “i used to be the one throwing that food”. i like them

joanabe - i know this one is like barely a ship but i still need to talk about them badly. their friendship is so important to me. the way its always been them whether it’s joan crushing on abe or the other way around, they’re just so special to eachother in any and every way, and both struggle with the choice of helping the other or doing things that hurt the other but ultimately raise their chances of getting together. tbh im so interested in whats gonna happen with them in the finale, and in the next seasons bc i doubt their back and forth crush thing is gonna last the ENTIRE show like itll be getting a new sort of premise or main character focus which im excited for

joanfk - some of the fanart is absolutely adorable COUGH COUGH ORT SMORT COUG but its just not for me man. biggest two factors as to why i dislike it being how it overtook the fandom, and how to me they just never had any substance. they have a fun dynamic and the season 1 finale was sweet but idk it just never affected me that much. also bc i always knew it was gonna crash and burn. like that is not a stable couple as cute as it is sometimes. like at all. and im happy episode 7 finally addressed it

abe x cleo - again, not really a fondly talked about ship, but they are pretty dear to me. it’s the way cleo was clearly playing with abe at the start but actually saw the charm in him and was actually upset when he finally digested his feelings for joan… i really hope they’re gonna be good friends in the future bc episode 7 seemed to be sort of a start for that friendship and them learning to be ok around eachother after the finale…

joan x cleo - ive always been scared to talk about this one bc some people see them as sisters, which i Really dont. they never acted in a sisterly way at all, and the living together thing lasted for like what. one episode. so i doubt it had any affect on how they view their relationship. but again absolutely fair if it makes you uncomfortable for this reason! but yeah i do like them. very very good trope and there can be some really cute stuff done with them dynamic wise

gandhabe my heart and soul my romeo and juliet my sun and moon my red and blue - AUGHGGGGG MY ALL TIME FAVOURITE. EVER. IN THE WHOLE SHOW FOR EVER they just have such sweet interactions and everything they do they do with the other in mind and i want them to have an emotional reunion in the season 3 finale sO SHRGFRHRVRRRRR RR RBR R R R. RR R. sorry this is mostly incoherent screaming rather than actual words I just DUCIGJGN LVOE GANDHABEEEEE EEYEHEEE THEYRE END GAME!! THEY ARE END GAME WHETHER ITS AS FRIENDS OR ROMANTICALLY RHEY ARE THE ONES

ok now onto the ones involving the new gen clones

harriucius - i like them its the second het ship in the show ive ever actually liked!! they just both go so well in so many ways, they both have almost the exact same struggles and cope in similar ways, but harriet has more of a hands on attitude with her problems, while confucius tends to avoid things. im VERY interested in how their relationship will go and i dont really think anything’s gonna happen to them bc i cant picture the show pairing either of them up with anyone else (mostly confucius tbh 😭)

joanharriet - i WISH this one was more acknowledged by the fandom like i think its the least popular one at least involving the newbies.. can you tell im a sucker for ships that are literally just two close friends who love eachother more than anything. lol. when i think of them i think of episode 5 which makes me extremely happy. like look me in the eyes and tell me that was not an absolutely beautiful wonderfully wrapped episode

johnfucius - gonna be honest i dont like this one. i know this is a really rich thing to say while talking about clone high season 2 but it just felt rushed, and especially with how they barely did anything after sleepover. like they were literally crying both of them being like OMG I FINALLY HAVE A FRIEND!! and then they proceed to have the most stale interactions with the most notable one being in the next episode and it’s literally just confucius encouraging jfk to avoid his problems like he does. not really good. but again if you enjoy them all the power to you, im happy you found something you like that hasn’t been ruined and seems pretty docile and chill compared to all the other ones :o) it’s very much a mostly fandom based ship

kahlopatra - BEAUTIFUL. BEAUTIFUL. I HAVE NO WORDS JUST BEAUTIFUL. there definitely was a lack of suspense like based off the intro and the slight buildup throughout the series BUT that literally doesn’t matter. out of every canon couple they are the absolute cutest im obsessed with the effect they have on eachother. especially on cleos side of things like ahhh!!!! she found someone she actually connects to genuinely!!!! i am so happy for her!!!!!!

tophucius - not much about this one its just pretty fun and silly . i feel bad for the people who thought something big was gonna be going on w them but the small details peppered in about them in sleepover were nice. i always liked how when confucius saw that topher typed your instead of you’re, he went “i thought so” like to me that confirms they do this all the time and they know it’s them. also really funny to imagine them being sworn enemies online but when they actually see eachother in school theyre Like oh shit hey man what’s up! hope youre well! like not even through gritted teeth or anything they’re just so chill irl for no reason

abetoph - Sigh i sure did save this one for last. while im a lot less comfortable with it now i still love thinking of them pre episode 8 and i do think their relationship is just ever so slightly more interesting now with the added double crossing n shit added to it. but im also sad they’ll never be the way they were may 24th to june 14th again . that specific time period of them is so comforting to me for no reason, all the memes and running jokes in the fandom involving them, all the wholesome fan work of them sleeping in tophers bed, watching stuff on tophers computer together, abe being tophers voice of the reason and the one person he actually likes, it’s just so … man. We Could Have Had It All. i love them for ever.

Top 10 kdrama friendships that had me bawling

#10 - alchemy of souls : mu deok/bo yeon + the boys

the only reason this doesnt get a higher rating is because they just didnt have enough scenes together. it was always pretty secondhanded, like the boys helping her with her servant exam in s1, or scenes between seo yul and mu deok/bo yeon. however, their friendship was amazing, and just adore this show in itself.

#9 - doom at your service : tak dong kyung, na ji na and cha joo ik

okay, they weren't a trio, necessarily, but they had such a great friendship through indirect interaction. joo ik and dong kyung had such a wholesome excited little sister and passive older brother relationship. and dont even get me started on the cuteness that was the friendship between na ji na and tak dong kyung.

#8 - strong girl do bong soon : do bong soon and gyeong shim

i wrote about this in my review of strong girl dbs as well, and the friendship between gyeong shim and dbs was so cool because both women were willing to go to such lengths for each other. one of the lesser-highlighted friendships of kdramas.

#7 - crash course in romance : nam haeng son and kim young joo

it takes a lot to sacrifice your national sports for your friend, and young joo made that sacrifice like a pro. their friendship was so cute, a bit annoying at times, but cute nonetheless. they were there for each through the goods and the bads, and that's all we really ask for.

#6 - lovestruck in the city : lee eun oh, suh rin i and kang geon

why! are! they! not! talked! about! ultimate peak best friendship, no romantic subplots to this gang, absolute delights. everyone should give lovestruck in the city a try.

#5 - twenty five twenty one : the gang

how could i say friendship and not have these people. this gang singlehandedly and platonically had enemies to besties, childhood besties, sunbae besties and just everything. right in the feels.

#4 - weightlifting fairy kim bok joo : the trio + the boys

the 'swag' trio. every time they did the swag thing it made me cringe so bad but they were very cute. the rooftop scene was legit so cute and the addition of the boys was even better. nothing beats these weightlifting girls and we stan.

#3 - extraordinary attorney woo : woo young woo and choi su yeon

this was sosososososo cute. the way su yeon was literally always there for young woo. she couldve easily been a villain, young woo took the guy she had a crush on, was higher in grades and well known. had an influential background. such telltale signs of bad women in kdramas. BUT this amazing person really was so good with young woo and totally spring sunshine su yeon.

#2 - the fabulous - the gang

everyone seems to hate the fabulous. genuinely, come at me. i dont give a shit about cinematic art or marketing strategies or whatever, this is my opinion gonna stick to it. i ADORED the fabulous. their gang was so amazing, the definition of supportive, cute and somehow maintaining that joke around stuff. they had their little pairs in the middle as well, but that didnt take away the overall love. go watch it.

im a recent to hosplay bandwagon, but. i fell in love. finished the (almost) entire show in nearly a week, an achievement considering it's my finals rn. we've got the piggies, buddha who is catholic, the guy who knows everybody and his dad. it was the little things with them for me, really. when they called jeong won andrea like that was so cute. when jun wan called seok hyeong ik jun's dad it made me laugh so much. and the fact that they're really not that close when u think about it but they still are? like that is adult friendships and we love.

At first, I thought Aqua didn't have an internal conflict the way Terra and Ventus does. Her reactions seem to be based on whatever her best friends were going through. But the more I progressed, the more it became clear that she does have an inner dilemma, it's just a tad more subtle than the boys.

More under the "Keep Reading."

Aqua has both the enviable and frustrating position of being a newly appointed Keyblade Master, which means she outranks both Terra and Ventus, and is entitled to privileges and secrecy neither one has access to. With Terra's struggle to contain his darkness and Ventus being a younger, impulsive child, this was already going to be a recipe for disaster.

Immediately, Aqua's mentality is nearly the same as Eraqus, where she doesn't question for a minute that Dark = Bad, Light = Good. And just as quickly, numerous people question and challenge her belief. Balance seem to be the big theme in BBS, even if the presentation behind it is clunky throughout the franchise (look, when the biggest supporter for Light/Dark balance happens to be the Big Bad who embraces the latter, even if he's trying to bring about the former, it's hard to see Dark as anything but The Bad; this is especially so since previous games have often always relegated this to the villain' side), but as a standalone title, BBS has been pretty good about exploring the intent behind it.

I've already seen Terra fighting off the darkness before giving in to it, but it's presented with sympathy, and ultimately as much of a failing on Master Eraqus' part for being so pro-light that he couldn't see past his adopted son's flaws, as much as it was Team Dark's Xehanort's for manipulating him.

And then there's Ventus, who constantly and literally had a Dark figure chasing him throughout his campaign. Vanitas was proof that both opposing halves were necessary to not only create the elusive X-Blade, but the key (no pun intended) to prevent its formation when Ventus destroyed the both of them. One simply could not exist without the other.

It really does feel like Aqua is an outsider in comparison, so it's so much easier for her to absorb Eraqus' teaching. I absolutely adore that it isn't baddies like Maleficient lecturing Aqua on her narrow-mindedness, but good-hearted folks like Cinderella's Fairy Godmother, too.

So while she's traveling around, wondering just what is right, Aqua continues to believe Terra will be able to fight off the evil inside of him, and that Ventus needs to come home because he's just a kid. All things Eraqus assumed the same of (well, Ventus is a lot more than "just a kid", which Eraqus does not tell Aqua about) and tasked her to do in the vein of secrecy, knowing she would obey.

I can see Aqua as the studious type, an ace who likely can do just about anything, much to the insecurity of Terra, and the awe of Ventus. She doesn't think there's anything wrong with spying on Terra because what she's doing is for his own damn good, nor does she try to retrieve Ventus without letting the boy explain why he left (though fair, it was an impulsive thing to do, even if it was rooted in fear.) The latter is quick to blame her for growing an ego post-Master rank, not knowing her motives were based on goodwill and honest intent.

Aqua just thought what she was doing was the right thing to do, but then again, so did Eraqus and look where that eventually landed him.

I'm at the halfway point with her story, so even though I know that the Wayfinder Trio's journeys will ultimately end in defeat, will she at least learn not to judge the Darkness so harshly? Can she move on from her master's teaching and keep an open mind?

I cannot believe Lady Tremaine and her daughters straight up DIE by Unversed Pumpkin Bombs. I mean, at that time in the Cinderella films, I'd say god riddance, but one of the things I liked about the sequels is that there was a chance for redemption for Anastasia (and potentially for Drizella, too.) Not in the Kingdom Hearts world, apparently. Damn, KH, you scary.

I am vastly amused that all three princes from their respective worlds (Snow White, Cinderella, and Sleeping Beauty) had Aqua to thank for reuniting with their loved ones. In a way, I think it's fitting. Aqua's presented as like the glue that keeps the team together; she's the one who gives her friends the Wayfinder, and currently trying to get the band back together or leading them to a better path.

...Did anyone in Radiant Garden ever just, ya know, stopped and questioned what and where the hell this cartoon duck came from? As far as I know, Radiant Garden seem to only host Anime Humans and Anime Humans only. I bet he's like the town's unofficial mascot at this point. Scrooge McDuck draws up tourism for anyone who wants to see a walking, talking Scottish fowl. And Scrooge wouldn't be offended in the least because he absolutely would take advantage to make money, er, munny, out of this.

So Terra met Riku and now, Aqua meets Kairi. I assume that leaves Ventus with Sora (which might explain the Roxas lookalike connection), but I've not seen that in the game yet. Is this gonna be a thing that only happens when I finish all three campaign? Is it in the Secret Ending or something? Also, shout-out to Kairi's grandmother. She managed to explain the general background of how Light and Dark functions in this series better than EVERYONE and EVERYTHING the past games have tried to tell me (without confusing the heck out of me) thus far.

When I said that the trio's new battlesuits looked unsuited for their purpose, I meant it. They look less like three powerful beings, and more like a squad of soldiers, even more than in their original St. Freya suits where that's literally what they are. They just don't seem special, or, 'ultimate', I guess. Maybe they aren't meant to be? But seeing as honkai is ending, (and the HoE was always always the final, ultimate threat) I can't see any other purpose behind them.

And, for that purpose, they look great! In particular, I love Kiana's idle animation, where she lies down on one wing and pets the other, AND how she does a little yawn in her ult. If these were designs for an AU where they were a team of valkyries, I would adore it!

(But it's not, and they look, at best, like a horizontal progression from HoR (HoTr), and at worst, extremely mundane party-clothes (HoFi). None of them feel special or crafted like the older Herrscher suits, pretty as they are)

PARK GUNWOOK > yujin’s best friend and wingman. literally so adorable. believes he is the male incarnation of sana from twice. the dumber in the dumb dumber dumbest trio. close to yn and considers her the sister he never had.

KIM GYUVIN > yujin’s bestfriend and the slowpoke of the group. literally can’t comprehend simple multiplication. close with yn and jeonghyeon bc they helped him around the school when he first transferred. calls them his parents unironically. the dumbest in the dumb dumber dumbest trio.

KIM MINJEONG > yn’s neighbor and karina’s gf. has absolute 2019 humor. can’t text normally unless she’s quoting a video meme line. is somehow related to sunghoon even though she absolutely hates him for how stuck up he is. will support her gf and yn in whatever they say. can be a mom when she wants.

YOO JIMIN > yn’s close friend and winter’s gf. literally hates winter’s humor but she doesn’t mention it and just laughs bc she loves her. kinda down bad ngl. a dad. hates men (literally just sunghoon).

Mini Fanfic #1085: Luigi Duet Ballet (Super Smash Bros Ultimate x Darkstalkers)

11:55 a.m. at the Local Smash Beach's Boardwalk......

Tifa: (Stretches her Arms Up in the Air as She Let's Out a Loud Yawn While Walking Next to Cloud) ('YAAAAWN')

Cloud: Work last night got you worn out already?

Tifa: ('Sigh') As per usual....I swear, some these people had nothing better to do than to get wasted, yell, and putting another migraine on me and the boys heads....

Cloud: You want me to serve as your bar's bodyguard for a few nights? (Smirks a Little) It'll be free.

Tifa: (Rest her Head onto Cloud's Shoulder) No....I don't want you to get involved in their stupidity. Besides, we already have Barret for the job. (Starts Pouting a Little) Even if he does take it too literal sometimes.....

Cloud: He broken another window?

Tifa: 64th window to be excated. Like, I'm all for kicking out rude drunks as much as the next guy, but would it KILL him to kick them out of the door instead? Those windows cost a fortune to replace!

Cloud: (Chuckles Lightly) I bet. But try to go easy on the big guy. He means well...for the most part.

Tifa: ('Sigh') I know.....And I'm really happy we get to work together again after all these years. I just don't wanna keep buying new windows all the time, you know?

Cloud: Hey, I get it. But you can worry about all of that some other time. This is your day off and you're at the beach of all places. You should take this opportunity to relax and unwind a little.

'Piano Starts Playing.....'

Cloud: ....And enjoy the sound of the piano apparently.

Tifa: Hm. It sounds lovely actually. (Starts Looking For the Source of The Continuous Sound) where it is coming from exactly?

The couple notice a small crowd of people gathered around in the close distance as they made their way in. Once Cloud abd Tifa manage to get in front of the crowd to get a better look, they discovered a black piano, standing in the middle of the circled crowd, is being played by a very familiar flower princess, who is wearing a black, dressed tail coat and leotard.

Daisy: This one.....is for our one and only green bean.....Luigi.

Cloud: Wait, I thought she said couldn't-

Tifa shushes her boyfriend before he could even finish his sentence.

Daisy: Luigi~ You're so cool~ And with our star, we're gonna rule~

Lilith: (Gently Floats Down on the Piano as She Begins to Sing as Well) Ohh Luigi, please understand~ We're gonna love you 'til the very end!~

Daisy: Weegie, Weegie, Weegie, Weegie Weegie~

Lilith: Weegie, Weegie, Weegie, Weegie, Weegie~

Daisy/Lilith: We LOOOOHOOOVE YOOOOHOOU!~

Daisy: Bowser, King Boo, and Dharkon too.....(Continues Singing with Lilith)

Cloud: (Almost at a Loss For Words) .....What the hell are we looking at right now?

Tifa: Pretty sure it's a duet of some kind.

?????: A duet all about me?

The couple turns to see Luigi and Bowser standing next to them with the green plumber in particular, already has his hands on both of his cheeks while blushing and swaying his hips side to side.

Luigi: Those two shouldn't have~ That's so sweet of them~

Tifa: (Giggles Softly at How Cute Luigi is Acting Right Now) Awww~ You're enjoying the show already, Weeg?~

Luigi: I think so? I mean, I've always liked hearing to Daisy sing sometimes, but I have no idea she would sound THIS amazing!~ And Lili too. They both have voices of angels~

Cloud: I wouldn't go that far really. (Smiles a Bit) But I gotta hand it to them. They don't sound all that bad.

Bowser: (Scoffs While Crossing his Arms Together) Oh please. It's perfectly fine and adorable for those two to they sing a sing about Greenie over here, but every time I do the same for Peach, she and everyone else says it's..... (Moves his Two Fingers Up and Down) "Creppy and Unprofessional of me as the King of all Koopas".

The trio slowly turns their heads to Bowser with deadpinned looks on each of their faces.

Bowser: What? I'm right, aren't I?

Tifa: Bowser, you kidnapped Peach more times than any of us could count. Of course she would find you singing a song about her creepy!

Luigi: ('Sigh') Why couldn't you stop kidnapping her and find someone to date normally like Ludwig did?

Bowser: (Glares at Luigi) Cause I'm evil, Greeni- Wait, Ludwig has a date? (Eyes Begins to Sparkle) My baby boy got himself girl and/or boyfriend?~

Luigi: Yeah. G-Girlfriend actually. Her name is Kumatora, the Princess of Osohe I think?

Cloud: And unlike you, he actually treats her with actual respect and dignity.

Tifa: (Notices Something in the Distance) Awwwww~ And they're already on a date right now~

Bowser: WHERE!?

Tifa points Bowser to Ludwig and Kumatora laughing with one another and holding hands in the distance..

Bowser: (Gasps Before His Eyes Widened in Genuine Shock) My god......You bozos were telling the truth.....

Cloud: (Rolls his Eyes) Nice of you to believe us now, moron........

Bowser: (Tears Starts to Form in his Eyes) My babies.....('Sniff') Why do they have to grow so fast? ('Sniff')

Bowser then takes a deep breath before screaming out......

Bowser: LUDDDDDWIIIIIIGGGG!

Meanwhile at the Mid Distance of the Boardwalk.....

Kumatora: (Turns to See the Source of the Screaming Before Turning Back.to her Boyfriend) Hey, not to alarm you or anything, but it kinda looks like your old man is calling out for ya.

Ludwig: ('Sigh') It's best that we don't pay him any attention. Maybe then he won't notice us being here after a while-

Bowser: (In the Distance) LUDWIG, I KNOW YOU OVER THERE! STOP IGNORING YOUR OWN FATHER!!

Kumatora: (Gives Ludwig a Teasing Smirk on her Face) You were saying?~.

Ludwig: ('Sighs in Defeat') Guess we're facing the music then......(Finally Gives Bowser his Attention) Yes, father!? Is there something the matter!?

Bowser: ARE YOU REALLY DATING THAT PINK HAIRED PRINCESS RIGHT NOW!?

Ludwig: (Stares at his Father a Deadpinned Look in his Eyes Before Sighing Again) Yes, father! We are dating! Her name is Kumatora by the way!

Kumatora: (Happily Waves at Bowser) Pleased to finally meet you. sir!

Bowser: LIKEWISE! LUDWIG, HAVE YOU COMBED YOUR HAIR BEFORE LEAVING THE MANSION!?

Ludwig: Yes, father! I combed it the moment I woke up!

Bowser: DID YOU POLISH THE SPIKES ON YOUR SHELL!? OR THE WHOLE FOR THAT MATTER!?

Ludwig: I....don't see a reason why I should-

Bowser: DO YOU HAVE ANY MONEY ON YOU RIGHT NOW!? I DO NOT WANT MY BABY BOY TO GO ON HIS DATE EMPTY HANDED!

Kumatora: (Trying Her Hardest Not to Burst Out Laughing)

Ludwig: Mother had already given me my allowance last night! Do not worry!

Bowser: Okay, Well.....DID YOU BRUSH YOUR TEETH BEFORE COMING HERE!?

Ludwig: ('Sigh') Yes, father, I've brushed my teeth AND got myself ready for our date! And BEFORE you asked, I've already gotten a pack of gum in my pocket just in case!

Bowser: ARE YOU SURE!?

Ludwig: Yes.

Bowser: POSITIVE!?

Ludwig: Yes!

Bowser: ABSOLUTELY POSITIVELY-

Ludwig: I AM SURE!-(Quickly Takes a Deep Breath to Calm Himself Down) Listen, could you PLEASE let us continue our date together in peace right now!? I can assure you that we will be fine!

Kumatora: (Wraps her Arm Around Ludwig's Shoulders) Your Baby Boi is in good hands, sir!~

Ludwig: (Softly Glares at his Girlfriend While Blushing) K-Kuma!

Kumatora: (Turns Back to Ludwig) Gotta convince your father you'll be safe somehow. (Smiles Softly) Besides, you know I'll have your back, right? (Gives Ludwig a Kiss on the Cheek)

Ludwig: (Blush Starts Getting a Little More Redder) L-Likewise.

Bowser: ('SNIFF') OKAY, I'LL LEAVE YOU TWO TO IT THEN! (Tearfully Waves Goodbye to his Son) I LOVE YOU!!!

Ludwig: ('Sigh') Love you too, father......(Turns to Kuma) Shall we get going then?

Kumatora: Ye. (Starts Walking Off With her Boyfriend Next to Her) Your old man's pretty cool for an evil guy.

Ludwig: Glad you're taking a liking to him at least.....

Bowser: (Crying his Eyes Out as He Hugging an Annoyed Cloud Strife) Why does my eight little hellspawns have to grow so fast, huh!? It's not faiiiiiir!~

Cloud: Better question. Would you mind telling me why you're hugging me right now first?

Bowser: Well. ('Sniff') I mean....I didn't bring any tissues here with me, so-

Cloud: (Glares at the King Koopa) If you blow your nose anywhere near my body, I WILL kill you.

Bowser: Okay, okay! I won't blow my nose on you! ('Sniff') Promise!

Tifa: (Gently Pats Bowser's Hand) It's gonna be okay, Bowser. This kind of stuff happens all the time. (Tears Starts Falling Down on her Face) No matter how much it hurts!~ (Starts Hugging Cloud as Well)

Cloud: This is getting us nowhere.....(Turns to the Green Plumber Beside Him) Luigi, could help me convince these two to stop crying already?

Luigi turns to Cloud with a teary look in his eyes much to Cloud dismay.

Cloud: Oh no.

Daisy/Lilith: WE LOOOOOOVE YOU, SWEETIE!~

Luigi: ('Sniff') (Joins in on the Cloud Hugfest) They love meeeeeee!~

Cloud: ('Sighs in Defeat') So much for relaxation.

First, I'm very sorry for taking so long to answer this.

Second, JASON!!!! DICK!!! I'll do my top five for both, let's go!

Jason-

Oof, kinda difficult for me to select just five for him because he's my ultimate blorbo and I like to explore him with all sorts of characters. But! For the sake of this ask game, I will whittle it down to five:-

Dick & Jason - My Ao3 is proof enough of my obsession with them. Not a single moment that I don't spend thinking about them. It is borderline insane at this point. Their relationship has LAYERS,,,, like an onion- too many and every single one of them will make you cry. They were each other's first brothers, they love each other, they scream, they mess up, they still reach out. T H E M. (Sorry to my mutuals who don't get a break from me screaming about them skskssk. Especially Scarlett and Perse.)

Jason/Roy - I have covered it in Roy's post for the ask game but the baseline is that -> them = perfect for each other. I rest my case.

Jason & Rose & Eddie - Jason and Eddie being pen pals was one of the best things to have happened in his Robin era. I want them to be friends again soooo bad. Elseworlds might show them to be married but I honestly think Rose and Jason work better as chaotic bffs. Rose and Eddie have interacted and I don't need much more to work with. They would be an amazing trio and I stand by that.

Jason & Talia - Best mother-son duo, I don't take criticism. No one can or should fight me on this ever. It's not perfect but they care for and understand each other deeply. I think about them for one second and get emotional.

Jason & Kyle & Donna - Cosmic mistakes. Need I say more? Each of them are a glitch on the fabric of reality and its w o n d e r f u l. So much to explore - from themes and motifs to the inevitable crack-y trope of them babysitting each other. (People would expect me to say Donna but she's honestly just as chaotic lololol)

Dick-

Dick & Jason - for exactly the reasons I have stated above. The other relationships on both the lists take turns on my brainrot slot but this remains at the top.

Dick & Donna - Exhibit A: "Donna, we've gone through so much together and in not all that many years. Yet, I feel as if I've known and loved you all my life. Terry is a remarkably lucky man to have found you." "I'm the lucky one. I've known so much love and now all my loved ones are here to share my happiest day. Dick... I love you." Exhibit B: "Me? I can't even listen to a bike go by without thinking of you." Like,,,,,, literally no one does it like them. They are platonic soulmates and that's on that.

Dick & Damian - I love the banter and the sweetness in their relationship. They quipped with each other just like any other dynamic duo but there's a gentler, sincere side to them that I absolutely adore.

Dick & Clark - They're besties. Dick got his mask name from a Kryptonian legend, Clark called him the "multiverse constant". What else do people want me to say on the topic?

Dick & the Titans - listen I know I talked about Donna and his relationship BUT all of the Titans are so important to him and his journey. Those were some crucial years for him as a leader but also as a person. It was a,,, Process for sure and these people were with him throughout that trip. So yes, him and the Titans are very near and dear to my heart.

So I just recently read your post about decto relationships with the bingo card thing, and I enjoyed it a lot and wanted to hear more of your opinions on other relationships. I would like to see which other relationships you choose and how you view them.

Firstly, I would like you to know: I cannot even put into words how happy this ask made me (the fact someone was curious enough to ask something from me unprompted! the fact that SOMEONE TOOK THE TIME TO APPROACH ME TO ASK!! AND ABOUT DETCO!!!), so thank you very much for making my day with this and giving me that dopamine rush. (Also, thank you for your patience, I got too busy and took me much longer to answer than expected!)

I. Kudou Shinichi/Edogawa Conan - Miyano Shiho/Haibara Ai - Detective Boys Trio

The Elementary Squad

I have A LOT OF THOUGHTS ABOUT THEM SO GET READY.

In general, the friendship (friendship is a canon relationship!) these 4 (then eventually 5) little menaces of my heart share, is so very precious. The way these 3 latched onto him, and integrated him into their little group, how Shinichi LITERALLY ACTS LIKE HIMSELF AROUND THEM DESPITE THE KIDS HAVING NO IDEA ABOUT HIS TRUE IDENTITY. HE IS AUTHENTIC AROUND THEM. Also I forgot the number of times the kids called Shinichi out on his BS (like him switching between his adult and child speech patterns when interacting with adults/the police and disappearing acts) and how many times they all get in soooo much trouble because they are lil troublemakers, so curious, never saying no to adventure.

Shinichi is a mentor to them, teaching them about stuff but also their friend. Shinichi is Big Brother material, and the kids know that they can count on him, turn to him in need, and Shinichi cannot help but indulge them, involving them in stuff to an extent, while also trying his damnedest to keep them safe and protect them (even at his own risk and safety, bodily protecting them).

And then you add Ai to the mix, and she gets integrated into their tight-knit little group. Not only Shinichi finally has a connection to the BO with her, but also someone who is in the same situation as himself and someone who needs his protection. (AND SOMEONE WHO TEASES HIM LIKE HE DESERVES IT! AI-SHINICHI BANTER IS SO GOOD! LOVE THEM!) And Ai finds herself not only friends but a family. (Sometimes a family is one middled aged man, 2 fake and 3 real elementary students.)

She encounters unconditional kindness, which melts her cool exterior and as time passes she not only comes to care about these people, but also learns to lower her barriers. And ultimately makes the choice to be with them despite the risks.

You can give me these 5 kids in almost any combination and I would be so happy to see them (and could talk about them for hours without stopping, almost did them in different combinations separately, God, save my soul). Special mention: Mitsuhiko-Shinichi/Conan dynamic gets to me so bad because Mitsuhiko is the most curious of the 3, when it comes to knowledge. He LOVES learning, and applying what he knows (just like a certain someone we know). And Mitsuhiko learns well; he absorbs what Shinichi tells and shows him. (And I love how complex his feelings are about that.) Also the parallel between Heiji and Mitsuhiko, my HEART-

I could go on forever about these children of mine (AYUMI AND MITSUHIKO'S PUPPY CRUSHES ON SHINICHI AND AI RESPECTIVELY, HOW THEY ALL PLAY SOCCER AND HIDE AND SEEK TOGETHER, THEIR LIL ANTICS, HOW THE KIDS LEARN TO THINK FOR THEMSELVES- *GETS SMACKED WITH A PILLOW IN THE FACE*), so have this utterly adorable lil thing to close this section.

II. Vermouth/Chris Vineyard/Sharon Vineyard -Kudou Shinichi/Edogawa Conan (- Mouri Ran)

This is such a delightfully precious and weird dynamic. I don't even know how to describe it, really because 1) there is so little content of this (WHERE IS MY VERMOUTH BACKSTORY/ARC!!! WHERE!!! WHERE IS MORE OF THEM!!! WHERE!!!) relationship in particular and 2) how do you even label something so unusual? Vermouth having such a solid opinion of Shinichi and Ran while the other two are so unsure what is exactly going on. (Shinichi is definitely suspicious of her with GOOD REASOn but also Weirded out I feel while Ran knows even less.) SO BEAUTIFULLY IMBALANCED AND WEIRD.

I guess, in short: Vermouth having a life-altering meeting with these two, only for Shinichi and Ran for it to be The Most Natural Thing?

I JUST LOVE HOW VERMOUTH IS SO FOND OF THESE TWO. (SHE LITERALLY HAS PHOTOS OF THEM!!!) HOW MUCH SHE WANTS THEM TO BE SAFE. SO MUCH SHE EVEN RISKS HER OWN LIFE AND SAFETY.

SO MUCH SHE WOULD SCHEME AND LIE TO KEEP THESE TWO SAFE. (SHE FCKIN!!!! DRAPED HER OWN COAT OVER HIM I'M!!! KDSNVKJSDVNKJSD *SCREAMS AT TOP LUNG CAPACITY* SHE FREAKING MADE AMURO PROMISED NOT TO HARM RAN AND SHINICHI, I'M GOING BONKERS!!!)

THE OSAKA DUO (AKA FIRECRACKER PAIR) and the Tokyoites (AKA THE BIGGEST HEIZUHA SUPPORTERS OUT THERE)

I'll be honest, at first I planned to include only Kazuha & Heiji in this but then I started looking for scenes in the manga and got obliterated by my love for the 4 of them. (And yes, I know I already did Heiji & Shinichi in the previous ask, I love them, sue me. Also, i wanted to count "Not dating but married nonetheless" for Heizuha BC THEY ARE, but this ended up as a 4 character thing so. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯)

To make it short: I FREAKING ADORE THEM.

In more detail: Heiji-Kazuha AND Shinichi-Ran both come in sets, DO NOT SEPARATE THEM. Then you put them all together THEY MAKE A WHOLE SET, A UNIT, A SQUAD.

But also there are different combinations: The Detectives And Cursed Bad Luck Duo, The Superstitious Girl Duo, The Not Dating But Married Couple, THE DATING HUSBAND AND WIFE DUO, THE SEPARATE TRIO COMBOS. *RIPS OF CLOTHES AND ROARS* ALL SO VERY GOOD.

THEY ARE JUST SO PRECIOUS TO ME, and they are just So- *CLENCHES FIST* THE BACK AND FORTH TEASING IN ALL KINDS OF COMBINATIONS, THE RUNNING INSIDE JOKE MOMENTS OF KAZUHA SAYING SHINICHI SOLVES CASES FASTER THAN HEIJI (TO HEIJI'S ETERNAL ANNOYANCE), OR HOW THE GIRLS THINK HEIJI AND SHINICHI/CONAN ARE LIKE BROTHERS-

BUT ALSO BEING A WITNESS TO ALL THE WEIRD CONAN-THINGS, OR HOW THE BOYS BOND OVER THEIR LOVE FOR THEIR GIRLS AND THE GIRLS BONDING OVER THEIR LOVE FOR THEIR BOYS, AND BEING THE BIGGEST SUPPORTERS OF EACH OTHER'S HAPPINESS (CONFESSING FEELINGS TO THEIR BELOVEDS).

MY BI ICON KAZUHA, NOT TO MENTION RAN'S CONFESSION IN KANSAI-BEN I'M FERAL, THESE GIRLS LOVE AND CARE ABOUT EACH OTHER (and the boys too, but more on that later) SO DEEPLY, IT'S ENDEARING.

RAN LITERALLY, ON HER SECOND MEETING WITH KAZUHA, NOT ONLY SEEING SHE IS UPSET, BUT ALSO GOING OUT OF HER WAY TO CHEER HER UP I'M!!! BEST GIRL!!! TRULY AN ANGEL!!! (Ya really are a nice girl, Ran, I CONCUR.)

THEN OF COURSE WE CANNOT NOT MENTION THE OSAKAN DUO. THEY ARE SO COMFORTABLE AROUND EACH OTHER, it's one of my favourite things, so UNABASHED WITH EACH OTHER IN WAY. They are (not dating BUT) MARRIED YOUR HONOUR, they really are like an old married couple.

Honestly, I Just keep THINKING of them all BECAUSE THEY ARE SO DEAR, I'M SCREAMING-

Also, it's so rarely mentioned but (because there is just so little of it in canon WHICH IS A CRIME, GET ON THE CASE BOYS) SHINICHI/CONAN-KAZUHA IS ESPECIALLY PRECIOUS TO ME, they have such great potential. Every time I SEE THEM INTERACT EVEN FOR A SECOND I GO APESHIT, ABSOLUTELY BONKERS. There is just something about Shinichi calling her "Kazuha" and "Kazuha-chan", the possibility of them BONDING OVER THEIR BELOVEDS AND YEARS OF PINING (because both Heiji and Ran can so oblivious it's endearing) but also bonding over HOW STUPID HEIJI IS AT TIMES, but also how much they both care for him and Ran. My dream is to see Kazuha make/get Shinichi a protective charm (let's be honest, hE NEEDS IT, and Heiji's seems to be sorta effective). There is a parallel there (now only if I could find the post for it). Also Shinichi not only being OK with Kazuha picking him up (LETTING HER!!!) BUT ALSO BEING FINE WITH KAZUHA HOLDING HIM!!! (FOR A WHOLE CONVERSATION!!!)

🍫 A headcanon about food for Scar!

Scar is Fae, and on top of that he's a royal. He definitely has a taste for finer foods; Fae food is naturally savory, and often sweet (though sour and bitter foods are also possible to make), and Scar's cooking reflects this. But of course- be careful when accepting food from him, or any other Fae! As he said in Midnight Strolls, things of Fae are meant to be... naturally alluring and tempting, and if made with the right intent, can be addictive and you might find yourself trapped by the Fae who gave you the food's whim :)

💝 A headcanon about their love language for Grian!

Grian is absolutely a physical touch love language type person- casual but intimate touches, hand holding, kisses, hugs, cuddling, randomly draping himself across his partners, wrapping them up in his wings... however, he also has a touch of gift-giving too! Although he doesn't too often get his partners gifts, when he does it means a lot to him. Often the things he'll gift will be extremely personal to him (his feathers, for example) and have great meaning (for example, the pendant he gave Mumbo is a symbol for "forever," through the gifting of his feathers <3) so! Mostly physical touch mixed with gift giving <3 Important to note- he likes to give gifts but he doesn't really like to receive them!

🧸 A headcanon about their childhood for Mumbo!

Mumbo was, unsurprisingly, the de facto leader of his and his friends' little group, not because he was confident or even best for the job but simply because he was the oldest of them and, well, obviously the one with the highest status, the others literally being the children of his house's servants. They were well known around Boatem for running around and being children, and though Mumbo's parents were not looked at with very high regard, the people adored Mumbo for being down to Earth and eager to learn. Mumbo learned redstone from one of the local scientists of Boatem, and when his friends had chores to do and he had no more lessons he would go spend time with them and learn even more. He valued this time just as highly as he valued time with his friends! This of course ended after the uprising that he ended up caught in the middle of, but he continued to send letters to the scientist and learned from them that way.

😶 A random headcanon for Midnight in general yay!!

haha thank you for giving me a chance to ramble about some of my world building that I won't get to talk about in-story!! I mean some of it WILL be discussed eventually BUT. Not in depth, so- The world of Midnight is of course divided into continents and also different realms. On the continent our lovely trio live on you have Hermetia to the northeast, Essem to the west, L'Manberg (a very tiny landlocked country) within Essem, and a certain Empire of animal-human Hybrids to the south. Hermetia is the largest of these countries, of course. Who knows what's on other continents... so far away, hmm.... Now, that being said, obviously I have referenced ancient civilizations- in fact if I did not delete them out of the final draft I have hinted at two ancient civilizations that have fallen before. Yep, Midnight isn't just a post-apocalyptic story- it's post two apocalypses! The strongholds are remnants of an ancient society that discovered (and eventually migrated to) the End before shit hit the fan. The non-Peecy (Testifica) survivors of this event who did not move to the End ultimately split into two groups- the Testifica and the Illagers. Peecy people, on the other hand, found themselves splitting too- many forming animalistic characteristics, all to different degrees. They end up called Hybrids, regardless of whether they look like animalistic humans or humanoid animals. Prior to this event, however, there were only the Testifica and the Peecy peoples, and their far ancient ancestors lived in an already-ancient world and dealt with problems far different from what the modern day people do- back in the days of the Ancestors, there were no Vampires or Fae or Werewolves living in the shadows of an unsuspecting society. Wizards and Sorcerers were new, magic was unexplored and no secret, the Nether was not yet traveled or learned, and what would one day evolve into the Testifica were not yet discovered. In these days the cursed sand and an ancient evil that lives within it was society's greatest fear, and the Nether was simply known as Hell. Now, of course- the only thing all three societies have in common? The Mobs. No one knows where they came from. No one knows if they were always there, or if they came from somewhere else. If, perhaps... maybe there was someone from before. A time before the Ancients and the Ancestors. Regardless of the truth of the matter, all three societies have dealt with Mobs- from skeletons and zombies and creepers and spiders, only for more to be discovered over time (or perhaps... they simply evolved). There are rumors that some Mobs were highly intelligent, even giving themselves names, and perhaps they were the first incarnation of the Hybrids that became so prevalent thousands of years later... but who knows. All anyone knows now is there are many Mob Hybrids in existence today. How they came to be, though- is still quite the mystery...

sooooooooo i just saw wicked and have a lot of disjointed thoughts and wanted to write them down:

- fiyero glinda and elphie all want people to like them and deal with that in different ways

- pessimism, critical thought, and any emotions besides happiness are frowned upon in oz, and fiyero’s outward persona reflects that almost completely. he refers to himself as brainless, self-centered, and arrogant - because all of those traits are praised in oz. while i don’t think his feelings for glinda were entirely fake, they were a part of that persona, unlike his feelings for elphie, who’s the first person to see through it, and - crucially - to like what she sees.

- glinda was not kidding when she said “and let’s face it, who isn’t less fortunate than i?” she’s rich, pretty, and popular, and i’d be willing to bet she’s always been popular. unlike fiyero, her “shallow, kinda mean popular girl” personality isn’t a facade (not at first, at least). she’s quite literally never been told no, and takes it as a given that she’ll always have good things. and, moreso even than fiyero, she’s unwilling to part with people’s adoration for her. this is not a criticism, however; in the end, glinda’s the one with the most political power, and the potential to make the most change (do the most good).

- people have absolutely written about this before but glinda is a foil to elphie in that elphie has incredible magical power, but completely lacks social skills or status, while glinda has very little magical power, but is absolutely incredible socially. elphie

- elphie pretends not to care what people think since everyone who isn’t nessa hates/fears her and even nessa holds her own wants and needs far above elphie’s, but she truly, desperately wants to be loved, and not just by individual friends/love interests (although that sure would be nice) but by the general public. however, she’s also the member of the trio who stands to lose the least by flying off the handle and openly rebelling against the wizard, and the one who’d be most effective at doing so. and, ultimately, her actions are what lead the wizard to leave oz, morrible to be imprisoned, and glinda to take power and have a chance to make things better

- the contradiction at the heart of elphie’s character is that on the one hand, she desperately wants to be loved and treated as normal, and she hates that people act disgusted by and afraid of her, but on the other hand, she believes the things people say about her. she blames herself for her mother’s death and sister’s disability, later says to fiyero that he’s lying when he says she’s beautiful, and by the start of her time at shiz she’s long since past trying to convince people that there’s more to her than meets the eye (at least, in the present moment, though she daydreams otherwise). she deliberately scares a few admittedly easily-scared students, (because being feared is better than being bullied, right?), speaks bluntly, refuses to pretend at happiness, and, most importantly, speaks out when she sees injustice. the culture of oz discourages all of these things, especially those last two, but elphie’s never been accepted by that culture even when she tried to go along with it. the threat of social ostracization doesn’t work on her - she’s already ostracized.

- the reason she’s ostracized by her peers and hated by her father, and thus the reason the wizard’s propaganda and the ozian culture of feigning happiness and going along with things fail so utterly to work on her, is her green skin, which was caused by her mother drinking the wizard’s elixir. her immense magical power was caused by her being the wizard’s daughter, and thus a child of two worlds. her army of flying monkeys were the wizard’s, and he’s the one who tricked her into giving them wings. and, although elphie isn’t aware of it, the reason the wizard leaves oz is because he thought he killed his own daughter. the wizard made his own worst enemy and caused his own downfall

Okay so! Sonic oc! I'm not quite decided on a name, but I've got a few candidates; Sphinx, Tarnish, or Jumper. They're a hairless cat (I wanted to be quirky lol) but admittedly Sphinx isn't really. Original I guess, since Sphinx is... a type of hairless cat? I'm not sure if there's Only One type of hairless breed, I'm not well read in my cat knowledge. But that's where the other names come in, Tarnish and Jumper. I'm now quite sure where Jumper came in, it just sort of happened- but Tarnish, and I think this is the one I'm gonna go with, has a lot to do with her backstory.

Now, before we get into that, I'd like to introduce you to the rest of our cast, courtesy of @i-changed-my-url-fuck-you, because they made them! Currently, Tarnish is apart of a delinquent trio of crime fighters! ...they are the crime. And they do be fighting! So watch out!

First up is Glock the Dove, which. Oh lord, I adore them. I don't know much about them, but through trying to draw the team I headcanon that they have a bit of an ego, so that really makes me want them to be the ace or team leader. I guess that kinda makes Tarnish their lancer? Certainly not a theme that will continue, nope not at all.

But! More about Glock! I'm not sure what their gender is, if they have one, so I've been using they/them pretty exclusively. And just a headcanon on my part, but Glock appears to present masculine, so maybe the occasional he/him wouldn't be out of place Ultimately, it's not my choice tho cuz. It's not my oc. I just have a lot of blorbo thoughts can you tell <3

I'd include a picture or a link to a post, but I don't think Fuck You has come out with a post yet, and I don't wanna commit art theft- and I'd show you mine but... I've had this Curse of Dissappear Your Art Saves since like August and it's. Really. Really. Really. Really annoying. Clenching my fist as we speak.

And finally. Finally. Dimitri. Dimitri the Dormouse. This is an oc that Fuck You came into my askbox asking me for something to base an oc off of, and they've been in Fuck You's capable hands ever since. I can't wait to see how they turn out <3 I do have a couple headcanons/ideas for this one as well, but nothings set in stone. Currently, the idea is that they're sorta the handy one of the group, a tech whiz. I also hc them to be pretty young, so maybe they can parallel Tails... if they don't run off to go build planes together. Their associations should probably make them enemies, but I just don't see them duking it out so they probably only fight when necessary or for appearances, and probably go for fro-yo afterwards. Other headcanons include Dimitri being nonbinary amab, and using they/them pronouns. I was eyeballing a couple neopronouns bc I feel like I'm sorely lacking in that department, but I didn't feel any of them fit :(

Okay we can talk about Tarnish for real now, starting with her backstory.

Before the trio, there was a duo. Tarnish, a young kit, and a little bat named Rouge. They were displaced as kids when their city block was demolished in favor of erecting a brand new stylish hotel. They struck it out on the streets, stealing what they needed to survive. But Rouge saw greater potential...

With a new hotel came a new crowd, a new clientele- the rich kind. And if it kept them fed, well... Tarnish had no qualms about that. And feed them it did. Continued to feed them, clothe them- and when they were teens, their first apartment together. Rouge had found she liked wearing the fruits of their labor, gold chain and diamonds galore, it's own sort of reward. It's only now that Tarnish is becoming painfully aware of her growing homosexuality🌈

More years pass. The hotel, although resilient, catches up with the real estate values of the surrounding area, reclaimed by the slum neighborhood it tried and failed to replace. Reclaimed. Literally. Now a grown woman, Tarnish stares at the deed in her hands, claws threatening to pierce through the thin sheet of paper and tear it to shreds. It's just a stupid piece of paper, the practical part of her mind tells her. She shouldn't be so sentimental... this means a lot, to now own the wretched cause of her displacement. She can do whatever she wants with it, including demolish it.

Rouge is gone more frequently now, having to fly further out in search of gems to pay for their lifestyle. As it turns out, nobody wants to go to a slum to live it up in a gilded hotel. A polished turd is still a turd. No matter, Rouge is a treasure hunter! She'll find those gems!

Tarnish eagerly awaits for Rouge's return and to tell her the news... they wait. Wait some more. The bills come in. It'll be fine, right? Yeah. Of course. It's Rouge! She wouldn't... she wouldn't abandon her best friend, her best friend who's been hopelessly in love with since forever- Tarnish is left feeling like a god damn fool.

And has been angsting about it for the past 10 or so years. You know, like how all well adjusted individuals do. And that brings us to now... now Tarnish is a bit of a grumpy sourpus who does this face >:/ alot. But she really just misses her wife-not-wife. Djdbfjf
