So will Jade faced princess ever be mentioned in your au? Since LMK kinda goes "Don't trust history" I like to imagine she was just Red's babysitter and people assumed she was a mistress
Oh man I went down a fox-hole with this. I find her potiential as a character so good for the LMK verse. She could be a villain, an ally, a general, or in my personal fave idea: Ultimate Auntie. (One of my fave interpetations is by @harveylikestoart).
So my idea for Princess Jade Face / Jade Faced Princess / Yu Mian Gongzhu is this:
Birth name is Ruan Yu (soft jade/nephirite), but goes by Jade to her friends, and Auntie to anyone she deems younger than her.
Appearance wise: she's a humanoid fox spirit/Huli-Jing with dark green hair, pale skin, and big green eyes. Loves wearing really old fashioned long-sleeved hanfu that trail behind her (mostly to shield her tails without glamour), and is hyper-feminine. Wears obnoxiously patterned cheongsams while out and about.
Has a "feral" form of an eight-tailed dark green fox. She mostly shifts into this form for comfort. Think of the shapeshifter equivalent of taking off your bra after work.
She's a minor royal of a big family of fox demons. Same family as Jin & Yin's (+ Lin the accountant's) mom actually! She likes visiting them whenever she's in the city.
Knew DBK long before the Brotherhood days. They were childhood best friends in the Underworld who got mistaken for a couple a lot (cus "a guy and a girl can't just be friends" obvs /sarcasm). When PIF came along, Jade was one of DBK's biggest hypemen.
Her dynamic with DBK and PIF is essentially an older Traffic Light Trio, with her as the Mei. Green coded, high energy, and adored mutually by the others.
Because of her chill nature and hyper-fem style, people assume she's dumber than she actually is. She plays up her more "Barbie" qualities when she's tricking people/gaining information.
She's ridiculously good at handling babies and toddlers since she grew up with so many little nieces/nephews/niblings. When baby Red got fussy, a little visit from Auntie Jade immediately perked him up.
Wasn't an "active" member of the Brotherhood back in the day, but was a big supporter and intelligence gatherer. She almost got charged with treason after Sun Wukong's imprisonment, but PIF covered for her - despite their first impressions not being so great. She offically left the Brotherhood after Princess Iron Fan and Demon Bull King's engagement.
Was really sad alongside PIF and DBK when Red Son/Boy got taken to the Southern Seas by Guanyin to rein in his emotions. The "affair" mentioned in JttW wasn't an affair at all, but a human misinterpetation of how DBK was helping out his homie emotionally. Jade never forgave the writer for branding her as DBK's mistress.
Is extremely doting and embarassing to Red Son even when he's an adult. She's practically his second mother. Cheek pinching, calling him "kit", saying that he needs to eat more food, sharing baby photos with his friends etc...
The "Jade" in her name is not only a reference to her dark green hair/fur. Her family are Rock/Earth-type demons. She was so good at handling Red as a baby since fire doesn't bother her as much. She also owns a fox mask made of literal jade that she wore back in the Brotherhood days to hide her identity she thought looked mysterious and dramatic.
Doesn't have an actual spouse or biological kids of her own. She's happy being the best unmarried Auntie she can to all the kids.
Will def appear later in the "Monkey King and the Infant"-verse as Red's fave Auntie. Once PIF has "picked up" (read: kidnapped) Red back from the Southern Seas, Jade is immediately called in for babysitting backup.
She and Macaque became friends again on accident while working at the theatre together. She's part of the costume and makeup department, and it took them a few crossed paths to finally recognise one another. She is def partially to blame for Red's flair for dramatics.
Has a particular grudge against Zhu Bajie for whacking her with the rake. Has a nasty scar that starts on the back of her head down to her shoulder blades from the fight. Was extremely cold towards Pigsy before she realised (very embarassed) that he was just Bajie's decendant.
Initially disliked Sun Wukong when they reunited, but quickly it became clear that the the two's more loud, reckless natures bounced off one another. Are rivals for the title of "Best Babysitter".
Spoils baby MK and the other kids rotten. Doesn't matter if the baby is a mystic monkey, dragon, cat demon, human, or demon bull calf; baby is baby.
Takes an obscene amount of luggage with her no matter where she goes. Is "hairdryer in her purse" kind of prepared.
Yips when she's excited/happy. Also chirps in response to Baby MK's monkey chirping. The language crossover of fox and monkey sounds is surprising.
Voice claim: Diane Morgan/Philomena Cunk. She has a softer British accent compared to her related demon niblings. Red Son may or may not have developed his accent from her.
Gosh I love weird women characters.

hello! maybe you are currently not very aware of pjf or jade assistant AU (or maybe you are and I don't know) and also that she has a kind of "maternal instinct" with mk, but I was curious, what would she be like having a legitimate children?
Although you probably won't read this, but I guess it's worth the effort(?
She’d be completely doting. Probably not a big fan of the cleaning aspect but she would dress it in so many clothes.
Although it is very unlikely she would allow herself to get preggers physically. Nah she’s gonna use her magics to form a child or something.

Can I get some MK kissing Red Son a LOT
like just a BUNCH of kisses
“Thank you for coming,”
“It’s no problem!” Qi Xiaotian looked around at the palace as he followed Jade Faced Princess. He hadn’t met her before the event that had ultimately led to her getting custody of Red Son, and he could already see the differences between her and DBK and Princess Iron Fan.
While their palace had been dark and filled with lava with long echoing hallways that felt empty, hers was brighter. Windows were open to allow in the sunshine and the sight of a massive garden. They passed by servants going about their daily tasks and thousands of foxes, relaxing in the sun or following them.
“It’s just…Red Son understands why I had to take custody of him,” Jade Face said. “And I understand that, even though he understands, he would still be upset with me. However, he’s been in his chambers all week and refuses to leave. I just figured a friend-”
Xiaotian chuckled. “Don’t worry, your highness! I’ll do what I can!”
The older woman chuckled. “Please. Just call me Jade Face.” They stopped at a set of grand doors carved with the Samadhi symbol. Jade Face opened the door and poked her head in. “Kit? One of your friends is here!”
Xiaotian stepped inside and the door shut behind him.
He stood inside what looked like a sitting room. At least, it would if it wasn’t overtaken by boxes and all the shades were closed. A Bull Clone was standing next to an open box and waved when they made eye contact. “Red Son?”
Something from another room.
Xiaotian slowly and carefully made his way through the boxes, eventually entering a bedroom. This one looked to be put together. At least the bed was, a massive lump curled up under the sheets. “Red?” he called. “Hey…I brought cookies?”
There was another noise, but this time he could make it out to be an unimpressed grumble. It was a good sign. Probably. He settled on the bed with a sigh. "Are you okay?"
Silence.
Xiaotian reached over and pushed down the blanket. A hand shot up before his face was revealed. However, his hair was visible. An idea sparked to mind.
"If you don't say anything, I'll kiss you."
He expected Red to burst up, yelling about not having his filthy peasant lips on him or something. But the lump only curled up tighter. The silence drew on.
"Okay then."
It was a brief gesture, more on Red's ponytail than anything else, but it worked. The lump exploded into a blur of blankets before Xiaotian was face to face with a flustered fire demon.
"What was that?!" said fire demon yelled, his hair sparking into a smolder. He looked like he hadn't slept in days, and his eyes were red, but at least he was up.
"A kiss!" Xiaotian said, trying his best not to sound smug. Based on how Red's eyes narrowed, it failed. "You like it? I can kiss you some more." He leaned forward, expecting his face to be shoved back.
But...no.
Instead, Red froze, allowing Xiaotian to peck his chin. Xiaotian continued to kiss all over his face, keeping an eye out for any signs of being pushed away. But the fire demon didn't seem to...
He felt him take a deep breath.
Then Red was leaning forward.
Xiaotian blinked but froze himself as Red kissed his lips. There was a little sigh as he pulled away. The fire demon smirked.
"I can do the same thing, Noodle Boy."

why does Wukong respect Princess Iron Fan but hate Princess Jade Face?
I can only guess that when it comes to Princess Iron Fan, Wukong sees her as the "real" wife, the one that is worthy of his sworn brothers both in power and name. While Princess Jade Face is only someone who has money to her name and used to get Bull Demon.
Maybe it is just Wukong getting a feeling for Jade Face and just knowing she is a very possessive and jealous woman that he just tries to hit on her sight while with Iron Fan he treats her with respect and acknowledgment. Whether it was their integrity, power, or even that Princess Iron Face was the mother of Red Son and that Wukong acknowledges him as his nephew. Hard to say with so few interactions but that is the best I can say.
He gets very protective of Iron Fan when Jade Face is bad-mouthing her. Wukong already has an established respect for Iron Fan, proven when he lets her beat him multiple times as payback for Red Boy as Wukong wants to appease her. But the first time he meets Jade Face she is trying to insult her, which to his newly found sister-in-law's credit, he went on the defensive to attack.
Needless to say, first impressions are important.

Gods help Macaque when Jade-Face learns how risky the pregnancy Wukong was going through actually was. If he thought she was mad the first time around, she was twice as pissed off at her surrogate son/protégé when she learned that most Stone Monkeys do not survive childbirth and that its very possible the only reason Wukong is even remotely as healthy as he is was due to the fact he was quite literally immortal and a group of mortals his successor is family with just so happened to find and adopt him into their pack "just in time!"
The furious Nine-tailed vixen momma.
I understand from another ask you meant Jiuweihuli aka Nine-Tailed vixen.
But yeah, her and Jade-Face are like the lethal duo of a pissed-off mom and auntie ready to kick Macaque's butt for his recklessness. The two force Mac to sit his butt down and roast him verbally for hours over tea. After the Shadow Play incident, Mac just knew his adoptive mother/mentor was on the otherside of the stage door ready to yell at him for; "Messing with those nice noodle people!" and left himself open to attack from a certain demon.
Mayor: "Bravo! Bravo! What a perform-"
Macaque, not even paying attention: "Thank the buddha, get me out of here. Sneak me out the fire exit or something. Anything's better than facing her right now."
*(later getting interrogated/threatened by LBD)*
Macaque: "Ugh... hard to decide what woman I'm more afraid of."
And since his disappearance left behind a bunch of dark magic with the Bone Spirit's signature on it - the rest of the theatre staff immediately freak out and peace together that the Vixen's protege has been kidnapped. The Monkie Kid gang get a screaming, worried phone call from the theatre house about Macaque going missing - MK doesn't think much of it since he barely tolerates his not-mentor - but they get very concerned when the words "bone spirit" pop up.
Jiuweihuli: "It's terrible. I know he's been acting like a bum lately, but the last time he dropped off the face of the earth like that he died."
MK, very tired but concerned: "Wait. Died? And you say there was Bone Spirit magic left behind?"
Jiuweihuli: "Yes. Biggest culpurit I can think of is that boney b-word who was bumping around earth for a while calling herself the Ivory Lady. I performed for her Emperor whats-his-name a few times."
MK: "Monkey King says a Lady Bone Demon was the one who threatened him during New Years."
Jiuweihuli: "Small world. Whats the King up to now? Taking plenty of rest?"
MK: "Actually him, DBK, and Red Son are running across Heaven, Hell, and the Underworld right now looking for clues on what the Lady Bone Demon is planning."
Jiuweihuli, after a long silence: "...He's doing what now!?"
The Vixen decides in that moment that this family hasn't a braincell to rub together, and orders her twins to try and keep an eye on where ever Macaque shows up. She also calls up her niece Bo (the demon accountant) in the Celestial Realm since she works as an assistant to Lao Tzu.
Bo, on the phone: "Hmm, no sign in the palace auntie but- oh no wait... some Asura just got their bums handed to them. Yeah, there's food flying everywhere. Yeah I see the King flying around out there, he looks fine but he just ate a dumpling bigger than he is. I'll keep you posted auntie."
Jiuweihuli is a nosy fox and she will find out where her idiot understudy and his boyfriend have run off to. And when Bo gets back to her in a hurry with the knowledge (from skimming Lao Tzu's research) that Wukong is pregnant with a Stone Egg that typically kills the parent... Macaque better wish he only dies if he fails LBD.

Random Jade Face idea but when Red was younger and visiting he transformed into a fox kit to chill with some of the foxes. Jade Face, exhausted from a night of trying to iron a very important business deal, came out, spotted what looked like a lost kit, and spend a few hours in fox form with Red Kit in her mouth trying to find the "kit"'s mother.
I am bad at drawing animals. However she’d probably smell the smokey scent of, well, fire, and also DBK. It’d be a quick switch from “where is your mother” to “WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE?! YOUR FATHER WILL KILL ME!”

Comfort
Here’s the first day of the Traffic Light Trio Week...starting with Day 4!

“This is the place, right?”
Long Xiaojiao looked up from her phone to glance around. “This is the address he texted to me,” she said. “And this is the section of the city that the Grand Council lives in. Plus,” She gestured to the massive amount of foxes decorating the place.
“Yeah, no,” Qi Xiaotian nodded. He tried not to grip the bags he held too. One filled with spicy vegan noodles he had made himself and another was filled with a few of Red’s things. “That makes sense.”
The Grand Council had met two days ago.
Leaders of the city, headed by each of the heads of the Seven Sworn Clans, the Council had been investigating the rise of Lady Bone Demon. What had gone down Xiaotian only knew half, since he had been kicked out for the decision announcement. He had learned that Jade Faced Princess, head of the council, had apparently been given the leadership of the Demon Bull clan centuries ago, she didn’t know that DBK had been given illegal release, and DBK didn’t know about her controlling the clan.
What Wukong filled him in on about the meeting he missed was basically Jade Face, at the urging of Immortal Ruyi, had been giving Princess Iron Fan dozens of chances to be a better mother to Red. Apparently, Iron Fan had done a few things that had tipped that number into the hundreds.
And Jade Face had apparently snapped.
And now Red was living under her care and his parents were not permitted to see him. Xiaotian didn’t know what happened to the princess or the king but he was more concerned for Red. Xiaojiao had managed to get him to respond to her texts by giving them Jade Face’s address.
Xiaojiao knocked on the door.
Silence and then the door opened.
A woman, dressed in old-fashioned green and orange robes, stared at them. “Hi!” Xiaojiao said brightly. “We’re here to see Red?”
The woman stared blankly at them. Now that Xiaotian got a better look at her, he noticed that...she didn’t seem to be breathing. Before he could unpack that, she turned and walked away.
With mutual shrugs, Xiaotian and Xiaojiao followed.
Like Long Manor, the walls were decorated with green. But instead of there, decorated with paintings of ancestors, or the Demon Bull Clan, decorated with nothing, there were paintings of landscapes and foxes. Next to the paintings were pictures, some of Jade Face while others were of Red.
Then they entered a grand hall.
“-consent!”
Red stood in the hall, a bag slung over his shoulder. His hair was down and there were bags under his eyes. Across from him, Jade Face stood. She wore a hideous orange sweater and green leggings, her fox ears out as she raised her hands in a peaceful gesture. A few dozen foxes surrounded their feet, looking up at the duo. “I know this isn’t what you wanted. Believe me, if things were better, I wouldn’t resort to this at all.”
“You don’t have to! Look, I know to outsiders Mother’s ways aren’t ideal, but now she has Father supporting her.”
“Which is part of the issue of her last three strikes! Your father enables her and it breaks my heart because you three clearly love each other but it’s not enough! So, no. I can’t let you go back to them.”
Red turned his face away, revealing his eyes were filled with tears. They widened when he saw Xiaojiao and Xiaotian there. Jade Face sighed. “Look, I set up an appointment with a therapist for you. You don’t have to talk, I just want to make sure you feel safe. Okay?” She reached out but Red pulled away. “Okay. Thank you for being here, you two.”
Xiaotian jolted at the words but Jade Face, flanked by the foxes, was already walking out. Xiaojiao immediately ran to Red, wrapping her arms around him. Xiaotian followed, noting that Red’s hair sparked but soon stopped.
A sob rolled through the hall.

Would you prefer for it to be high stakes right away or low stakes but slowly building up to it? Do you think we'd see any other JTTW characters in it, or maybe in later seasons? What kind of character do you want to see in the next season, in terms of personality and role?

If I had to choose to start season 5 I would say low stakes but slowly building up to it

I think that surely more jttw characters will appear as new characters or in flashbacks, personally I would bet that Erlang Shen could appear
What kind of character do you want to see in the next season, in terms of personality and role?
Ugh I have a very long list of characters I want to appear and now that you've asked I'm going to ramble on about it, bad luck for you
starting with the most probable:
The mayor
I want to know more about the character, what he was like before meeting LBD and being the mayor, getting to know his relationship with her in depth. Is he just a henchman or does he have his own motivations? what was he doing during Lady Bone Demon's confinement.
Erlang shen
I'm really dying to see what kind of character Lego Erlang Shen is, what kind of complex character he can be, will he be a villain, an antagonist or maybe an ally? Will being a demigod be important for his character? what will his relationship with Sun Wukong be like? They will be like sworn brothers or enemies
guanyin goddess of mercy
I really want to know what the lmk writers will do with Guanyin, how important his role would be in the series, taking into account his importance in Journey to the West, I think it would be great if it turned out that all this time Guanyin was secretly watching over MK and his friends helping them without them knowing. I mean, she always helped the pilgrims on their journey and could do the same for mk and his friends. I also wonder if his relationship with Red Son exists in lmk.
Ao bing
I really want Ao bing to appear, I don't care how or why. basically because I think it would be cool for the fandom to see that Monkey King isn't the only one with skeletons in the closet. It would also be interesting to see Nezha face someone from his past that he thought was buried and that he would never see again
Do you think we'd see any other JTTW characters in it
characters I want to see
Taibai Jinxing (Gold star of venus) I would really like him to appear to help the protagonists
Nezha's family I would like to see Nezha's family even if it's just in flashbacks, especially muzha and LI Jing
lady earth Flow I'm really curious to know what his design would be like in the series.
Jade faced fox although if she appeared I highly doubt that her relationship with the demon Bull King would be the same as in the novel

I know the writers wrote it off for Strong Spider, but it would be great to see the spiders again. Maybe as an idea here the character of Spindrax wants to revive the spider queen or maybe avenge the spider queen, the writers could use to spindrax to show us spider queen's past and also give mei a badass biker rival (cough girlfriend cough)
Rumble & Savage
I know that many think that the macaque is practically redeemed, if they think that that is perfectly fine. but in my opinion I do not agree with that, because the basic thing in a redemption is that the character realizes his mistakes and repents of his bad actions, Yes, Macaque helped defeat the bad guys and everything. but he has no regrets for the damage he did to mk and his friends I thought it would be great for Macaque's future redemption arc to have him face his own past mistakes and what better way to do that is face the little versions of himself who want revenge of you and they won't hesitate to hurt your loved ones in the process just to see you suffer (cough karma cough)
Bone spirits
I really wanted to see Lady Bone Demon's army in the specials, They are literally the only villainous army not to make an appearance in the show and which I think is a big waste imagine that the mayor was not the only follower of lbd, if there were other followers and allies of her, plus it would be interesting to see more spirits or demons like LBD, besides I love his designs I mean who doesn't like skeletons with hoods.
