Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
As you fell towards an unknown place through a stone tunnel, you thought that there were two things you wished you had done the day before: check the hole in your bag to avoid losing all your money and have read the small print of the contract you had signed.
If you had done both, you would have avoided ending up in the mess you were in, with the seemingly kind woman who had greeted you telling you that you owed more than ten thousand sovereigns for charges you weren't even aware of. She had said that you would work for a sovereign a day, however, she hadn’t said what that job would be and before you could ask, Bleacher had already pushed you through the hole in the wall.
You hit yourself when you fell on a wagon full of white fabrics and quickly got up to understand where you had arrived. There were fumes, water, and everything smelled like detergent, so you knew it was the laundry room, but the place was desolate.
Would you have to do everything alone? How was it possible? Suddenly you felt very scared thinking about how long you would have to be there to pay off your debt. You had left your home to look for better employment opportunities so that you could develop all your artistic skills, since living in a small town it was almost impossible to practice with your brush. You were supposed to meet other artists, learn from them, buy new materials... you didn't have to end up where you had.
As the minutes passed and you had more time to think about things, the situation was getting worse. You had no one in the city who could help you, you were completely alone, without money, with debts, without food... between all of this you felt your breathing starting to accelerate and you knew you were about to experience a nervous breakdown.
That happened when you were in high-stress situations and, honestly, you hated it. Your heart began to beat like crazy with no way to stop it, you felt like you were sweating and everything around you seemed to start to suffocate you. So when you felt a couple of tears forming in your eyes, you thought that you just wanted to disappear into the wagon full of sheets where you were.
The shock didn't let you think properly and that's why you couldn't even hear the voices coming from the other room, which suddenly turned into the presence of a group of unfortunate workers.
"Oh, hello?" muttered an older man with glasses. He was accompanied by a woman dressed in blue work overalls, another lady, and a curly with a flashy suit “New here?”
Even though she seemed kind, you couldn't take the words that way. You were scared and soon everyone realized that.
“Girl, are you okay?” the woman with overalls was quick to say, with the same kindness as the man, and after that everyone approached your direction.
You wanted to talk, but you couldn't, and apparently the proximity of the group only made you more nervous. While you were trying to contain your sobs they were looking for ways to calm you down, to no avail.
After a few seconds another couple of people appeared in the place and from the corner of your eye you could observe them: she was a pretty little girl and next to her was a young man wearing a coat and hat. He noticed right away that something wasn't right and he walked in your direction to find out.
“Well, hi,” he greeted you. Everyone looked at each other with a combination of pity and concern, as if you were a helpless kitten in a box “How about we give her some space? She looks scared”
The group did as he told them and then the only one left near you was that man. He didn't say anything for a moment, as if analyzing your behavior, and then he leaned slightly against the box to watch you.
“I'm Noodle,” the girl murmured now, still keeping her distance from you. “What's your name?”
“Y/N” you managed to say. You were still looking into the green eyes that were also watching you carefully.
“It's a pretty name,” he complimented. You were still struggling to breathe a little when he held out his hand to you. “Do you want me to help you out of there, Y/N? So we can talk. We are all here to help you, don't be afraid”
Willy misjudged your appearance and thought that you were quite young, even though you were the same age, which is why he allowed himself to speak to you so cautiously.
You carefully took the hand he was offering you and then the man helped you out of the wagon, practically carrying you outside. Once you were outside his arm carefully wrapped around you and guided you to a couple of chairs, where you sat down and he sat down too.
“Breathe,” the boy urged you, realizing that you were still sobbing a little. He wasn't touching you anymore, but he was watching you carefully “Can you get some water, Piper?”
You realized that the first woman who had spoken to you was named Piper, and while you were working on regulating your breathing she disappeared down the hallway. The boy whispered soft instructions: inhale, exhale, and with that you managed to calm down until she returned with the glass he had ordered for you.
"Here you have"
You took it and drank slowly, being careful not to choke, until you felt better. You were suddenly aware of everyone's expectant gaze and you shrank in on yourself with some pity.
“I'm sorry for all this,” you murmured, now that you were more composed. “It's just that when I fell here, everything was alone and I felt very… scared.”
“That's how we all felt the first time,” said the older man, to reassure you. “I'm Abacus Crunch.”
“Y/N,” you repeated, even though everyone had heard it the first time.
“This is Piper, Lottie, and Larry,” the boy next to you murmured, smiling gently at you. “And my name is Willy Wonka.”
That last one was the one that settled in your mind the most. Willy Wonka.
“How did you end up here?” Lottie asked kindly.
Everyone listened to your story carefully, now that you had managed to calm down, and a couple of sympathetic grimaces appeared on the faces of your new companions as you spoke. They told you, in broad strokes, their own reasons for ending up there and it turned out that these weren’t very different from yours.
“We were all fooled just by not reading the small print,” Larry said bitterly, even though he was supposed to be a comedian.
“For now we will just assign you a room and… you can rest, okay?” the little girl named Noodle murmured, trying to be as friendly as possible.
“Mrs. Scrubitt told me that I would have to work here every day to pay off my debt, is that true?”
They all shared a knowing look, debating whether or not they should tell you about their recent escapades to sell chocolates, and then Willy made the decision for the rest.
“You don't have to worry about anything. We'll be out of here soon, all of us. Just sleep and tomorrow we will explain to you, okay?” he murmured gently.
There was something about his smile that calmed you greatly and you were grateful that there was someone like him in that place. They all seemed to be good people, actually, so at least that was one less thing to worry about.
Noodle took you to an empty room where you could settle in along with your few belongings and right or wrong, you thought that at least you had a roof over your head that night.
Once you slept for a few hours and when morning finally arrived, they took care of updating you on the activities they had been doing to settle all the debts that existed with the cruel woman who had deceived you.
“We move through the sewers and come back here before Scrubitt does the roll call, at night,” Abacus explained to you. He was something like the leader of the place, probably because of the years of experience he had “If you help us with sales, then you will enjoy the benefits too.”
“You mean I can leave here?” you wanted to corroborate. Willy nodded enthusiastically.
“You arrived at a fairly opportune time, the business seems quite prosperous and if we continue like this, we will be gone in… a month and a half, maybe two months,” he estimated. It all sounded pretty good and at least they had the decency to tell you, so they could include you in the plan “Are you in?”
You thought it was risky, but if it meant a chance to leave, of course you'd take it. After all, those people had been trapped for years, what assured you that you wouldn't have the same fate? As you saw things, actually agreeing to help them was your only option.
"Of course. Just tell me what to do, I'll learn quickly” you exclaimed and everyone was happy with your response. Especially Willy.
“I'll take care of it myself, take it for granted.”
You took the hand that the man was offering you, as if you wanted to formally close the deal, and then everyone rushed to get the things you needed for the day's sale ready. As you watched them go from here to there you thought that you would have to get used to that hustle and bustle, but somehow it comforted you to know that now you were no longer so alone.
“Thank you for helping me,” you exclaimed in the direction of the light-eyed boy, who had stayed next to you. “At this time and yesterday too. I was quite worried and I just… panicked”
“Oh, you don't have to thank me for anything” he smiled at you sincerely “I know how ugly it is to be scared, so if another day you feel like that just tell me. I am always happy to help”
For a man who had only known you a day, he turned out to be quite the gentleman around you. Or maybe it was just that he behaved that way naturally.
“All ready?” Piper spoke and you knew it was your cue to leave for wherever your destination was that day.
And of course, just like everyone else when Willy came into their lives, from that moment on your whole world turned completely upside down.
Tumblr media
Becoming friends with Willy Wonka wasn’t a task that required much effort, so after a few weeks the two of you were practically inseparable. To this we had to add that when he discovered that you were the same age, his sympathy towards you only increased, to the point of turning into a clear interest in you, although not in the way that most would expect.
Maybe he was rushing, but he had started to like you in a… romantic way? Maybe. He didn't know much about what it was like to be in love, but he knew that he had begun to feel something different in his chest for you. After all, you saw each other every day, at all hours, so it had been inevitable to know a lot about you.
You had talked to him about your life before arriving in the city, living in a modest village, about your dreams and the skills you hoped to improve with time and practice. Willy, in turn, had told you about his mother, the story of him making chocolates, the aspirations and desires he had to become the owner of a shop in the gourmet galleries... in short, everything that was truly important. Sometimes you spent entire hours, when you weren't working outside, talking and so you already knew a lot about each other by that point in your story.
That was why when, after a few weeks, your sleep was interrupted by a nightmare, the first thing you thought was to run and seek comfort in the arms of your friend. It was no secret that Scrubitt had been being particularly harsh with everyone there and although most of them were already used to it, you and Willy were the ones who suffered the most from those verbal attacks. She was quite trained in the art of being mean.
So maybe it was that he yelled at you a little worse that day, or it was just that you were too sensitive because the police almost caught you when you went out on the streets to sell the chocolates, but either way your mind had taken care of shaping everything that happened to create that bad dream.
When you knocked on his door you feared the thought of bothering him with your presence, however, it was too late to chicken out because almost immediately he had already peeked out of the room.
“Y/N?” he asked, slightly confused. From the lucidity with which he spoke you knew that he probably hadn't even been sleeping “What's wrong?”
“I had a nightmare,” you explained “Can I stay with you for a while?”
It didn't take Willy more than half a second to move to the side so that you could go inside and once you were there he invited you to sit on the deteriorated bed, where he also took a seat. The next thing he did was stretch his hand open on the mattress, offering you the option to take it if you needed it. You did it, partly to feel something to anchor you to reality and partly because you loved the feeling of his warm skin against yours.
“Do you want to talk about what you dreamed?” he asked softly.
“It wasn't anything too terrible, but it's just… Aren't you going to laugh?”
"Of course not. I would never do it,” Willy assured you, moving a little closer to you as if he wanted to keep the matter confidential. “What is it about?”
“It's just… I don't know, it was a strange dream. I dreamed that things were getting complicated with this whole business of selling chocolates and that's why I stayed here for years like Abacus or Piper. I mean, I really appreciate that you're trying to help us all and I know I'm the one who's been here the least and maybe I can't even complain, but… I've been afraid of something bad happening since I got here. And I dreamed that the chocolate cartel was hurting you, that's why I got very scared and I..."
“Hey, hey,” Willy murmured as he extended one of his arms to you, when he saw that you were about to burst into tears.
He hated seeing people cry, perhaps because of his compassionate and kind nature, but he hated seeing you cry, especially you. The first time you guys met he didn't want to be too invasive in terms of personal space because he didn't know how you were going to react, or he didn't even know if a hug would help you calm down. But now that you knew each other better he had also learned a few things about you, so he felt confident in holding you down if you were feeling bad. Like right now.
“I'm sorry, it's just that with what happened today with the police I feared the worst. It's not that I just love you because you're going to help us get out of here, it's that I really appreciate you and I don't want anything bad to happen to yo... to all of us, I mean”
Willy smiled moved at your concern and let go of the hand he was holding yours to hug you properly, without you objecting at all.
“But nothing bad is going to happen, dear. It was just a bad dream”
He calling you that pet name warmed your face, so you just let yourself be sheltered by his kind arms and nodded against his chest, a little less worried now that you had spoken it out loud. You stayed in that position for a few minutes, with you listening to the constant beat of his heart and with him enjoying the pleasant weight of your body against his.
“Were you making chocolates?” you asked quietly, noticing the ingredients spread across the table in his room. He loosened his grip on him slightly so you could get a better look.
"Yeah! Do you want some? Maybe that will make you feel better. Chocolate always makes me feel better” he smiled.
When Willy saw you nodding he rushed over to grab a couple of the treats and then shoved them into your hands, hoping you could enjoy them as much as he did. He was definitely right when he said that chocolate would make you feel better.
“Do these have nuts?” you asked, feeling the crunchy bits between your teeth.
"Yeah"
“I love nuts” you confessed. You had already told him before and he had made sure not to forget it, so a little smile crossed his face when he saw that the candy was to your liking. “Thank you for the chocolates. And thanks for listening to me, I… I definitely feel better”
“I'm glad to hear that”
“You're so sweet, Willy. I'm serious"
“It's no wonder. You deserve all the sweetness in the world.”
Your gaze fell on him immediately and you gave him a couple of seconds in case he wanted to take back those words. However, he didn't do it.
“Well, it's nice that you think that. Not many people are nice these days.”
“Like Scrubitt, for example?” he joked and you laughed.
“At first I felt very angry, you know? But at least now I'm happy to know that despite all this bad situation, I was able to meet someone like you."
Suddenly the urge to tell you what he felt appeared in his chest and he was honestly surprised by the impulsiveness of his thinking. There hadn't even been anything that triggered that desire, it was just his brain together with his heart that were asking him to say that out loud.
Were you going to be scared? He hoped not. Maybe he should just refer to his feelings in the hopes that you'll put the missing pieces together, or maybe he should just stay silent, or maybe...
“I have never met someone like you. You are very special to me"
You couldn't help the shy smile on your mouth and Willy settled for the excited gleam in your eyes.
“Ow, are you serious?”
"Yeah. And I think I like you a lot.”
You assumed, like everything he did, that this was just another courtesy on his part and so you responded as kindly and friendly as you could.
“I like you too, Willy.”
“And I think you're very pretty. In every way” he continued.
You didn't know if he was trying to flirt with you or if he was just being nice, so you just laughed with flushed cheeks and shoved another chocolate into your mouth to try to calm your nerves. You wanted to tell him that he was handsome to you too, but instead you murmured:
"Are not you sleepy? I can leave if that's the case, I didn't even think about…”
“No, you can stay,” he said quickly. He really seemed to want you there with him “Did I say something wrong?”
Of course he hadn't said anything wrong, how could he?
"No. I just thought you were tired and I didn’t want to bother you,” you admitted. “And I appreciate that you think I’m pretty”
The way he was looking at you and the question he had just asked you made you think that maybe what he had told you about liking you was something like he really liked you. In the romantic, cheesy way you swore wasn't possible.
“I like that you are here, but I don't want to keep you if you are tired.”
“No, no” now you said. You were acting so awkwardly that your brain was screaming at you to do something to fix it, but your thoughts were interrupted by his eyes landing on your lips “What?”
There was something different in the atmosphere that had settled in from one moment to the next and could be felt with the fingers on your hand.
“Can I confess something to you?” he asked in a whisper. “And you promise not to be scared?”
“That depends,” you said nervously. Those kinds of secrets could range from the illegal to the wildly strange.
Luckily, what he longed to tell you was nothing on that spectrum.
“I think I like you a lot,” he repeated. But this time you understood perfectly what he meant.
You were burning with shame at the direction the conversation had taken and you looked at your friend with fear, not knowing how to respond to his confession. You knew you reciprocated those feelings, but you didn't feel the courage to say it. Fortunately you did have the courage to lean towards him and press your lips against his, because of course, from your strange logic that would be less embarrassing.
Now it was Willy who blushed noticeably and using the same reasoning as you, decided to mask his nerves by kissing you back again. Although he didn't say it explicitly, it was notable that he had never kissed any woman and the thought of it being his first kiss made you feel touched. He tasted like chocolate and inexperience, but he was perfect.
“I like you too,” you admitted between his lips, just as if you wanted to make it clear to him that the feeling was mutual and that he shouldn't have any fear about it.
While you were kissing him, your mind kept thinking that all that had happened thanks to one of your nightmares and, for the first time in your life, you felt grateful for that bad dream.

Story idea: Helion finds out he is going to be a father. Thank you !
Be gentle with me. I've never written for Helion.🥺 (part II)
A second chance
It was something that Helion wanted so deeply. Behind his show-offish demeanor. Behind all the confidence and slightly cocky attitude. There was a man who just finally wanted to settle. He didn't want to play games any longer. He wanted to have a happy home to return to. The bright walls had started to cave in on him. Pushing on his senses. Making him uneasy.
You were his haven at the end of the day. Where he was just Helion. No a high lord. Just Helion. With all of his flaws and imperfections. Where he didn't have to hide. Because he knew you would love him regardless. You two had been friends for ages. You had watched him fall in love with lady autumn. Had been the one to help them sneak around. Until that was crushed into nothingness. Until Beron had crushed her into nothingness because he had found out. Until he had done everything to get rid of her. The grief was immense. And it nearly took out the high lord himself but you were there. Always there. Holding his broker pieces for him until he could do so himself.
"Lady Y/N", the servant bowed his head as you approached the upper levels of the library where Helion usually worked. You knew that he had been busy. There had been a lot of new agreements and terms that needed to be put to place now that day court was working closely with night court. "Is high lord in his office?", you asked softly, brushing the hair away from your shoulder. The servant nods his head, "The usual order stands. I can only let you in", he says smiling softly and you return the gesture.
Helion seems to not notice your presence at first. The place is a mess. He let it go so untended. But then again most of the time it was you who cleaned it for him. Organized everything. Just you had been feeling under the weather the past couple of weeks. Barely wanting to leave your chambers. Just having this unimaginable urge to sleep. A twirl of happiness jumps within you now that you know why.
You step closer and Helion's head shots up. His dark skin gleamed in the early evening sun. The frown on his face instantly turns into a light smile at the sight of you approaching. "Aren't you supposed to be in bed?", he asks softly, pushing the chair back so he could make you more space on his lap. You hum, "Trust me, would love nothing more but the healer told me to move as much as I can", you settle yourself down onto Helion's lap. Hands instantly move to cup his face. He kisses you with the same longing until he pulls away, frowning himself, "Healer? You saw a healer and no one came to inform me?", his eyes dart towards the door where you know that the guards would be getting a lecture later on.
"You know I'm good at sneaking around", you tried to joke slightly but you saw no amusement on Helion's face. Your health, anything that revolved around you being well he took very seriously. "I'm fine", you say softly, leaning your forehead against his, "We're fine". You feel Helion's body freezing. Then his mind is moving so fast you can practically feel him thinking.
"Sweetheart...", he breathes out, eyes falling to your stomach, "I'm with child. Your child is growing here", you reach for his hand, placing it on your still flat stomach. Helion's big eyes are watching you. To be frankly honest you didn't know what emotion you were experiencing to see. Because family topics had been complicated for a while. He didn't get to see his firstborn grow. Gods, he didn't even know he existed until a couple of months ago. And that had wounded him deeply. Helion never believed that he would even get a chance to build a relationship with Lucien because there was nothing there. The male looked at him like nothing but a high lord. No father. No future relationship.
"Say it again", Helion pleads, eyes suddenly glossing over. "There's a baby here, growing strong and healthy. Waiting to meet...", but you don't get to finish because Helion jumps up with you still in his arms. Twirling you around till you're screeching. Laughter booms from his lips and he's practically glowing. It's like the sun suddenly has gotten brighter.
"Hey", the high lord falls to his knees right in front of you. Both of his palms cupped your stomach as he leaned in pressing his head against your chest, "I'm your dad", he whispers. He looks up at you to silently ask if this is okay. If he is allowed to do this and you urge him to continue. Do what feels natural. Until he's kissing all over your tummy, hands on your hips. Your fingers lazily scratch the back of his neck and you let him have this. Have this moment of peace. This moment of experiencing something he had been longing for. Being more than happy that you got to give him this chance at becoming a father all over again. "So loved, so loved", Helion mutters under his breath, "I'll forever look after you and your mom".

Wandering Eyes
Yan!Gilbert Blythe x f!reader
I only write sfw, not proof read, noncon hugging/forced hug, feel free to send requests
Tumblr media
Gilbert has always been nice. He has always been well liked and popular. There have never been noticeable flaws in him.
You didnt know him very well. It's not like you were strangers, you just never really got a chance to talk to one another. Which was why it was so weird when you began to notice him stealing glances at you *every so* very often.
The glances quickly turned into staring. You thought there was something wrong with you at first. Maybe you had something in your hair or your clothes were messed up. As it continued happening you began to think you were being conceited.
But you could feel his eyes burning the back of your head. Especially that day.
At lunch you sat with the other girls in your little nook, whispering about unimportant topics. You sat by the window.
It got to the topic of boys, like it always did. You didn't have much interest in the conversation. It usually began with someone bringing up a boy and Ruby saying how sad and handsome he his. You decided it was best to just tune it out this time around.
Of course when you're not paying attention to one thing you're paying attention to another.
Gilbert. You could see him peeking at you from the space in the sheet that Dianna and Anne had put up. "Why was he staring? What did he want? Its creepy." You fidgetted with your dress as you tried not to make it obvious that you were uncomfortable.
Suddenly you felt a hand clasp yours.
"Are you okay, y/n?" Anne said, bumping you from your panicked state.
"Huh? Oh- yeah. I'm fine. Thank you, Anne," you smiled and squeezed her hand.
Truthfully, you were irked.
After school you hurried to get your things and ran after Gilbert.
"Blythe!" You yelled as you approached him.
"Y/n?" He said turning to you, a light blush reaching his cheeks. "W-what is it? Is everything okay?"
"No. It's not." You stopped in front of him. "Why do you keep staring at me?" You lunged directly into the topic. "Did I do something? Do you have something to tell me? If you do then say it!"
Gilbert was flustered. It took him a moment before he sputtered something out.
"No! You didn't do anything!" He grabbed your hand, tracing his finger around your palm as he looked at it. A shy smile grew on his face.
"Then why are you staring at me?" You quirked a brow, now being more confused than ever.
"Well, I guess there's no use hiding it." He shrugged. He intertwined his fingers in yours and began walking, of course you followed, warily, he was practically dragging you.
You got a ways away from the school before he finally piped up. "Y/n, you aren't courting anyone? Are you?" He asked. You felt his thumb rub against the back of your hand. You shook your head in response.
You could see his eyes twinkle. "Well... I'd like to," he swallowed mid sentence, "court you."
"What?" You stopped walking. Gilbert looked worried. "Gilbert, I'm flattered but... I mean, we don't even really know each other."
You felt his grip on your hand tighten. For a second Gilbert looked panicked but he brushed it off with a nervous laugh and a smile.
"Of course we know each other! We've been going to school together for years." He rubbed the back of his neck. He could tell you weren't budging and that he was making you uncomfortable but he also didn't know if he'd ever get a chance like this again.
"Gilbert, I'm sorry but I can't court you. Now, please, let go of my hand." You began to pull back your hand but he wouldn't let go.
"N-no!" He pulled you closer to him and grabbed your free hand. His breathing became erratic. "You don't mean that. I mean, how could you mean that? I've never done anything wrong. How could you not like me?"
"Gilbert you're scaring me!" You struggled in his grasp but he pulled you in for a hug.
"Y/n I love you."
"Gilbert you're delusional! We barely know each other!" You squirmed against him but he wouldn't budge on his hold.
He didn't respond. He was hugging you so tight that you could feel his body heat. His breath brushed the place between your neck and the shoulder of your dress.
"Gilbert if you don't let go I'm going to scream." You spoke firmly as you pushed on his chest.
He didn't let go though. Maybe he was testing whether you'd actually do it. Maybe he didn't hear you, too wrapped up in the feeling of him having you in his arms, wrapped up in him.
He didn't want to let go.
"Scream then." His grip tightened as he waited for your response. A smile grew on his face after basking in the few seconds of silence.

The first time he showed up at this spa he barely keep his demeanor calm. After going in the spring, he practically begged her to skip the massage under the guise of not having time. Even then she wasn't finished. There was the facial, the essential oil hair treatment, the manicure, and the pedicure.
None of this was something Vil didn't expect. This was his normal spa day. What wasn't normal was her. Every moment she was there touching him, caressing him so gently. She would whisper in his ear, smile, and giggle while she praised him. It was as if she was his lover who knew everything about him, especially his body.
His heart couldn't take the way she would curl her hands in his hair and tell him how beautiful it was. Never in his life did he believe it as much as he did at that moment.
So he returned every week, sometimes twice. What else could he do?
Tumblr media
"Miss Yuu is wearing a new dress. Must mean housewarden Vil is coming in." A Scarabia girl whispered.
"This late in the day? We close in a few hours. I wanted to at least take a dip before we leave." A mousy beastwoman responded.
"Relax, it's not like we have to serve him. Miss Yuu does all the hard work." The Scarabia girl said
"Honesty, I kind of want to serve him. The Miss won't even let us in the VIP rooms." A Pomefiore piped up. "I'm sure I could do just as well as her."
"Are you sure you can manage that? I've had several complaints about your attitude." Yuu said condescendingly as she stood behind the girls causing the mousy girl to squeak "I'm not shaming you, Andromeda. You've done well, all things considered, and we have clients who adore your personality."
Andromeda preened with pride as Yuu spoke.
"Unfortunately, I can't have you serving VIPs regardless. They require a bit a of discretion for one thing, and Vil is difficult to manage. If you make a rude comment or mess up any step you'd be liable to cause a blow-up. As the one here with the most experience, and the owner it's my responsibility to see he has a relaxing day." Yuu said stiffly before barking out " Now if you girls somehow don't have anything else to say. GET BACK TO WORK!"
The girl scrambled back to their stations as Yuu smoothed out her kimono. She double checked her hair to make sure the lotus she had fashioned in it was still there.
Yuu had taken to wearing one a few weeks ago when Vil placed one behind her ear. He seemed to have a fondness for the flower from the look in his eye and she aimed to please.
Tumblr media
Yuu greeted her favorite customer at the entrance. As always Vil looked perfect. It was a shame that his makeup had to be removed along with his clothes and accessories.
"I know it's unexpected to schedule so late but I had a run in with Neige and would like to forget he exists for a while." Vil sighed with scorn.
"I will do my best to make sure you don't have to think about anything so annoying. I will take care of everything." Yuu cooed leading Vil to his usual room and gave him space to shower.
Yuu as always kept a tight ship so while Vil cleaned up she told her girls that there was no need to work late since Vil is the last customer of the day. She made sure they went back to the dorms in groups with leftover food in hand. She was tough on them but she adored them just as much.
She could handle Vil on her own just fine.
True to her word when Vil was dressed in only a towel hanging low around his waist she decided to surprise him.
"I added a massage table. I was hoping finally you'd let me work out the knots in your back." Yuu smiled eagerly as she lead Vil to sit on the table.
Vil felt a cold sweat go down his neck. He didn't know if he could take it. But saying no would be suspicious.
"Don't worry Vil. I know what I'm doing, just ask Jamil. He loves my massages." Yuu turned around to check the oil warmer for the right temperature.
Vil no longer felt conflicted.
He would forget that he wasn't the only person to receive Yuu's care, but the reminder stung. His imagination wasn't kind as he saw Yuu's body pressed against another's.
Jamil was Yuu's special case just like Vil. Hearing just how much that snake loves to be touched by her made his heart sink like a rock.
He chuffed in response before relenting. As long as he kept calm any unsightly outcomes will be mitigated.
Tumblr media
She was right about her skills. She pressed into Vil's back with firm but gentle hands, he could feel his body give in with reluctant pops as the tension was released. Vil let out a satisfied sigh as she rubbed the stretched muscles on his back.
"Such a strong body. Exactly what I expect from my hard-working star." She purred from her position above him. She stroked Vil's sides from the the small of his back to his shoulder blades.
Vil breathed in the alluring smell of bergamot, mint, and Yuu's signature lotus sent. God, he loved that smell. Everything he smelled it flowing off of her he thought about every moment she enraptured him and held him close. Even if it was for work she never stopped treating him this well no matter where they were. It wasn't hard to imagine a world where they were more than just customer and owner but he guessed that was the appeal of such a place made to take worries away.
"OK, You can turn over and lay on your back now." Yuu said politely as she dismounted Vil's back.
As Yuu went back to the oil warmer to soak her hands Vil tried to turn but noticed that he was currently at half mass already. He tried to quickly hide it but Yuu was already back. She didn't notice as she gently pushed Vil's chest to lay him back down.
Vil hoped it wasn't that obvious and if he focused it would go down. If she caught onto his plight he would be mortified. But Vil must have underestimated his size, it was kind of hard to miss even if his "little" friend wasn't at full attention.
She noticed.
She stared wide eyed like she had encountered a being from another plane and was lost for words.
But then she giggled and looked at Vil's mortified expression. Her eyebrows furrowed and her goggles turned into a gentle sympathetic smile.
"Don't worry. It's a natural response. Don't be embarrassed by that. I'm just glad you enjoy it." Yuu soothed Vil as her hand reached over to caress his soft pink tinted face.
This was exactly what Vil feared. This was the part he hated. This woman had a talent for undressing him both physically and mentally and laying him bare to see. The way she found any vulnerability but instead of exposing it like an open gash, she would tend to it. Her warm and tender nature against his cold and sharpness was like tossing cold water over the burning rocks in the steam room.
She went back to work as she oild up Vil's chest. Her finger somehow went from massaging to caressing every detail of his body. Vil took very good care of himself. His muscles were defined but soft and his skin gave off a burning heat. Yuu was getting distracted.
She tried to regain focus, but she must have given a shameful display as she bit her lip and pressed her thighs together. She shouldn't have such thoughts! It was disrespectful to Vil-sama and he deserved better than that. She felt awful but at the same time, Vil was so beautiful.
She pushed forward and cleared her head as she moved downward. She had to finish with his legs and tried to ignore the soldier standing at full attention now under Vil's towel. She shouldn't look but she kind of needed to.
The two were both surprised as Yuu rubbed Vil's thigh her hand brushed against his strained length. Vil let out a gasp of air like he was in pain.
Yuu's ears instantly perked up she heard it. She never wanted to cause him any discomfort. It was her job to make him feel good.
"It must be difficult." She said her hand trailing across his thigh. "Poor thing. I should have been more thoughtful but I guess I don't understand how a man's body works. I can help if you want."
As she did this her hand drifted towards Vil's length and could feel it twitch as her hand wrapped around it.
Vil didn't remember his exact response other than a strained moan. He wasn't sure because once she touched him there he forgot all reason.
Still he believed his response was along the lines of "You were the one who caused this so take a bit of responsibility."
Either way, she fumbled to remove the towel that served as a barrier and slowly but clumsily began stroking him with her oiled hand. She seemed unsure of how much pressure was necessary as she listened for Vil's responses.
Yuu eventually found the pase that he liked and began jerking him in earnest. It felt so strange. Despite not being touched Yuu felt a wetness between her thighs. She felt so unlike herself, she wasn't usually like this. She was supposed to be dignified as the madame but now she was acting like a common Soapland prostitute giving happy endings. Somehow this distress didn't stop her as her desire to serve won over.
Her Kimono was too tight. She wanted to take it off so badly.
As she stoked Vil's cock she couldn't stop thinking about how thick it was and how it would feel. She wondered how I would feel if she just mounted him right now and ground it against her throbbing clit.
"So big." She lustily murmered as she spread the dripping precum around the head.
Vil couldn't take it anymore as he sat up and grabbed the hand that held him.
"Stop." He ordered as he removed her hand.
Yuu's felt a flash of fear in her as an icy chill ran through her vain.
"I-I'm sorry! I've never done this before." Yuu knew this was a bad idea. Now Vil probably thinks she's not only incompetent but also a harlot. What had gotten into her?
"Shut up." Vil said simply, too pint up to say it clearly. He needed her now. He needed to touch her.
He pulled her on top of him as she scrambled to keep up.
"Vil?" Yuu asked in shock.
"I don't want just some handjob. I think you can do better than that. You're proud of your 5-star service so I want 5 star quality treatment." Vil said pressing his body against hers.
Yuu blinked owlishly trying to find the words to respond. When she found none to convey she nodded. Her hand reached around to grab the knot of her obi and pulled it loose.
Vil felt smug at her reaction. She willingly submitted to his whims. She always gave so much and now he just wanted to take.
Vil pressed his face into the crook of her neck. The heady scent of lotus filled his senses. He had associated this scent with her. He had gone as far as filling his room with candles and incense with it so he didn't have to sleep without it. He could pretend for a moment that she was there every night. But candles couldn't compare to the real thing. Her's was more delicate. He knew it was because she didn't use perfume, the scent came from long spa baths where she would stain her skin with wine and flowers.
Vil pulled the loosened kimono open and ran his hands around the outline of her body.
"My beautiful lotus, you look better than I ever imagined." He whispered in her ear as his hand traveled to her breast and pulled down the wrap that covered her.
Her breasts were softer than Vil imagined, and he loved the way she leaned into his grasp.
"Good girl." Vil murmured as his other hand trailed up her thigh till it reached her lovely pair of lace panties. "Oh? What are there for? Are you expecting a special guest to relieve you of these?"
"I just like them. They look the part for a woman of notoriety, you of all people know that looking the part should encompass all layers." Yuu huffed.
"I'm sorry, Lotus. I was presumptuous and since you enjoy wearing them so much I'll let you keep them on." Vill smailed teasingly.
Yuu gave him a quizzical look before Vil answered by slipping his hand into her panties.
Yuu squeaked in response as Vil explored between her lips.
"You're b-bold." She stuttered already trembling as she held Vil's wrist.
"I've been patient, love. I didn't intend to act on it until you broke our little agreement to no massages." Vil scolded her "Oh my, you're soaking wet down here. Now I have two theories. You either took a dip in your precious spring or you had ulterior motives when you wanted to lay me down."
Yuu didn't look him in the eye.
Vil didn't like that as he roughly played with her clit and watched her squirm before stopping and pulling away.
"Wha? Don't! Vil!" Yuu whining at the loss of friction.
"I don't like games and it would be better for you to be honest." Vil firmly held Yuu's hip in place.
Yuu still couldn't say it. Her pride wouldn't allow it. She and Vil had that much in common.
"I see. If that's how it is we can just make it harder for you to get what you want. Now turn around." Vil ordered Yuu to switch positions so she sat reverse cowgirl. "You said you wanted to take care of me so finish what you started. Then we can see to whether I'll take care of you."
Yuu wrinkled her nose. Vil was a bit too bold and demanding. One rule of the Onsen was that she was in charge and when it comes to her costumer's treatments she called that shot. I'd didn't matter what they thought they wanted, she'd give them what they needed. Vil would be taken care of alright.
She rubbed her still oil-slicked hands down her inner thighs. She looked back at Vil and winked before pressing his cock firmly between her soft thighs.
"Fuck." Vil swore under his breath as his hands firmly pressed into her hips.
Yuu began giving Vil the massage of his life as she shifted her thighs up and down. The oil, and Vil's pre-cum made her thighs feel wet. Yuu took the chance to make her desires come true as she moved her panties to the side and began grinding against Vil's cock.
"It feels even bigger. Must be hard to hide this." Yuu teased.
Vil felt irritation bubble up but that was mostly caused by how overwhelmingly turned on he was.
He freed himself from the wet confines of her legs and pulled himself to his knees and pulled her to sit on all fours. Yuu yelped but compiled eagerly.
"You little minx. You really are too much."Vil said pulling the robes off her. "Let's finish our game."
Yuu could already feel her legs trembling as Vil entered her.
Vil bit his lip as he took in the feeling of Yuu's tight velvety pussy. Her beautiful whimpering moans sounded like music to his ears.
"I still never got my answer. Was this what you wanted the whole time?" Vil taunted as he began pounding into her.
"Mmn!" Her moans were indistinct.
"You can do better than that. I want an answer." Vil ordered sheathing his entire length snugly into her, grinding his hips as she cried out.
"I...d-didn't do iiIIITT on p-purpose." Her stutters turned into a yelp as Vil hit a vital spot.
"That's hard to believe." Vil wanted her to admit that she wanted this from the start.
"It's the truth!" Yuu cried her sexual haze fading slightly "I just wanted you to feel good. I got sick of hearing you talk about your regular masseuse when I can do just as good as her if not better. I work too hard to be second best!"
Jealousy. It was jealousy.
Yuu shifted so she could see Vil and lean into him.
"Don't go looking for someone else. You have me." Yuu begged.
Vil was speechless. He had never thought she'd care about something like that. Instead of a useless apology, he gave her a kiss. Her body went stiff for a moment before melting into his.
Vil had wanted this for so long. Her soft clear glossed lips against his.
The rest was a blur. He remembered the sound of her cries as he pinned her down with one of her legs over his shoulder. The feeling of relief when he finally came with her arms wrapped around him was indescribable.
He remembered that after she got her bearing she went right back to her usual self. Immediately she dragged Vil in his half consciousnes state and took him to the baths to clean up. Once they were both clean Yuu acted as through their little tryst didn't happen. She put on her robes again, tied her obi around her waist and scooped up the fallen lotus that had been in her hair. When she turned to Vil here eyes met his for a moment before being shifted to the floor. Her expression was of shame, resignation, and hope.
Vil finally understood her and what this all meant. Appearances were everything and she had worked too hard for their moment of weakness to get in the way of that. They both knew if this got out that the reputation of her and the Onsen would be doomed. Even if they loved one another or were dating assumptions would still be made. They had two options: Pretend this never happened or risk everything by keeping it a secret. Neither was appealing to them.
Yuu seemed to forgo the choices as she gestured for Vil to come to the hot spring and just like always she placed his head in her lap and stroked his hair as the scent of lotuses filled his senses.
"What will happen to us, my lotus? I can't get enough of you." Vil took one ohlf her hand and kissed her palm.
Yuu smiled letting her hands run across his body and kissing his cheek.
"We can relax, my queen. Here it's just us. We will forget the outside world for a while." Yuu soothed.
"And when we leave?" He asked.
"We'll wait until it is just us again. Our feelings will still be the same. Right? And I'm patient enough to wait for the right time." She answered.

And yet, here I am, yearning
Tumblr media
Lucifer experiences what he (belatedly) recognizes as heartbreak in the middle of one of Diavolo's parties.
tags. gender-neutral mc, angst, missed opportunities, (kinda but not really) one-sided lucifer x mc, implied mammon x mc.
notes. today i bring you pain. tomorrow? who knows. i tried to write lucifer's sin getting in the way of his feelings for you. also, for this one to work, mc refused to attend any parties for quite a while upon arriving to the devildom.
Tumblr media
Lucifer has been playing host along Diavolo all night long, and he can already feel his face hurt. Being on his best behavior was exhausting; as if demons were anything but cunning.
Half of the guests are here in a poor attempt to get on Diavolo's good side, and the other half just want to get a peek of the new inhabitant of the House of Lamentation. “Have you heard? That human is here”, an oblivious demon whispers to him, only to disappear just as fast, clearly in a hurry upon realizing who exactly was he talking to.
Of course Lucifer has heard.
His eyes scan the sea of people, searching between green, purple, and red garments, until spotting you in your bold white and gold suit. Even if you weren't the star of the show already, heads would've been turning your way with just your attire, such a daring choice. How fitting.
And just as last week when you tried the suit on for the first time and excitedly broke into his office for a little fashion show, you look… angelic.
The white makes you look exquisite under the light of the chandeliers, and each one of the multiple accessories you are drowned in is tastefully done.
They work as a warning, of course; not just anyone in the Devildom can wear jewelry of such a deep gold as the one in the choker that covers your throat, in the pins that hold your hair in place and in the multiple rings around your fingers. They speak of power.
But they also speak of love.
It's subtle, in the way it would've been impossible for you to stylize your hair alone, or to get into the intricate suit on your own without ending up looking like a mess. Everything about the ensemble you're wearing speaks of someone caring for you enough to handpick everything, to make sure you look perfect.
And if Lucifer remembers correctly (and he knows he does), Mammon was the one who stood by you every step of the way. He didn't even let Asmo step in for the makeup, or listened to Satan's advice for color and styling. How unusual of him, he thought at the time, to want to shoulder all the responsibility instead of leaving all the work to somebody else.
Looking at you now, he gets it. Everything about you screams Mammon, so it's no surprise to see him stuck by your side. He looks so pleased: the pins in his hair and yours match perfectly.
The second born seems to have a knack for holding your attention. Right now he's practically shielding you with his body while the both of you talk, taking over your personal space, getting closer than you would have allowed him to just a few weeks ago.
Uneasiness settles in his gut. When did you start to lean in instead of flinching away?
While he can tell you've warmed up to every single one of his brothers, your relationship with Mammon went from strangers to attached to the hip in what seems like the blink of an eye.
The two of you are a lot to handle when you are together.
You've encouraged Mammon's impulsive nature with your ride-or-die disposition, always ready to take part in his (often stupid, often insane) plans, orbiting around him.
In return, you can do no wrong in Mammon's eyes. He is the fire to your fuel, just as ready to indulge you, craving ―and lately demanding― every bit of your attention.
It's true that upon your arrival, Lucifer decided to trust you in Mammon's care, convinced that the two of you would at least work around each other…
He greets each guest that moves past him with a barely-there smile, and a nod of his head, not doing much more than acknowledging their presence, preoccupied with keeping an eye on you.
And that's why he sees it, almost in slow-motion, how your hand moves to tuck a strand of hair behind Mammon's ear. It wasn't even out of place to begin with.
Leaving you in his care, he expected Mammon to be willing to help, as always. He was ready for him to slowly put his bravado aside, to bond with you, to call you a friend, maybe. But he never expected… this.
This feeling, that's tearing his chest apart. This urge, to reach for your hands and hold them prisoners in his. The desire, to come impossibly close and ask you, with all the pride of a petulant child, why him?
And not me?
The revelation is such that he feels himself tremble from head to toe.
How long has it been? When did he start to wish to take you away and keep you for himself? Has this feeling always been there, doomed, since the very first time he saw you? Or has it slowly crept into him, catching him at the worst of times, when it's already too late?
He remembers, he does, how in the beginning you always sought him out, to talk, for help, just to be near him. Your eyes full of stars, of wonder, every single time you looked at him. When did you start to move out of his reach?
Was he… the one to push you away? With his elusive nature, always distrusting, with the one hundred and one walls that surround him at all times. Has he ever… let you in?
Last week. What exactly did he said to you when you showed him the suit? You were clearly looking for praise.
He asked you to step outside, didn't he. Stop interrupting me in my working hours, MC.
What was your expression like, back then? Did he make you sad, upset? He didn't even remem--
“Lucifer, old friend, how are you enjoying the party? Does the demonus suit your tastes?”
Lucifer makes sure to set his cup down on the table before answering, adjusting his expression with practiced calm. If his shaking hands are too noticeable, Diavolo doesn't mention them.
And even if in his shock he hasn't taken a single sip, he answers, with a probably crooked smile. “Bitter. It's a little bitter.”
By the time he looks up and across the ballroom, you and Mammon are already long gone.

Family is who you choose (USWNT x Adhd Reader)
Continuation of Just tell them
This is a combination of these requests: One, two
I had a shit day at work so you guys get a fic! This was requested a while ago. Hope you enjoy!
4.7k words
So I had forgotten to take my medication again today. I hadn't been able to sleep until late and slept through my alarm. It left me in a rush to get ready which meant I forgot my meds. Once again it was too late by time I realised. I was already dreading the day, my mind would be all over the place, but maybe it would be slightly better now that the team knew.
The first problem of the day was when I got told off by the coaches. I wasn't sure what I had done, all I had been doing was playing with a ball while I listened to them. It helped me actually focus on what they were saying.
"Y/n laps now."
"What did I do?"
Ali put her hand on my arm, "Just do them."
I stepped back, feeling myself getting defensive, "I didn't do anything though."
"Y/n-"
My eyes stung as angry tears tried to escape. When sensory overload starts happening, I was more irritable and emotional. I was already overstimulated, so it wasn't a surprise at how annoyed I was getting. Especially when I was being punished for seemingly nothing. All it did was bring me back to my childhood, where I was constantly in trouble for things I couldn't help or didn't even do. I wasn't one to openly display emotions that weren't good so I shook Ali off and walked away, "Whatever."
The rest of practice, I did my best to listen to the coaches and spoke up when needed, but other then that, I ignored everyone. I was still upset, but I also just needed space so I wouldn't get distracted. I didn't need to get in anymore trouble. Once practice finished, I made it to the locker room before everyone else and instantly went to shower.
Ali sat down on the bench in front of me as I was putting my things back in my bag. I tried to ignore her, but she pulled my bag away to get my attention, "What's wrong?"
I shrugged it off, grabbing my bag back, "Nothing. I'm fine."
"Ally said when you get quiet, you're likely either over stimulated or upset. We just want to help, talk to us."
Obviously, I wasn't getting out of this one so I took a deep breath to stop myself snapping and sat down next to her, "I'm both. My mind is a mess and I got in trouble for nothing."
"Y/n, you weren't listening, that's wh-"
"I was though! I could have told you pretty much everything he said. I'm not like you, I can't just sit still and listen. If I'm not doing something, my mind runs wild and I can't focus, I can't listen. No one bothered to listen to me though so yeah I'm a bit upset about it."
Ali sighed, pulling me into her side and kissing my temple, "I'm sorry Y/n, I shouldn't have made assumptions. We can talk to coach, explain that you need to be doing something, but you're still listening."
I felt a bit better that Ali actually listened instead of just dismissing me, "That would be good."
One of the girls started playing music, I ended up being dragged up to dance with them. I avoided being touched, that only increased my sensory overload, but I did sing loudly moving around the room without a care in the world. Despite having just finished practice, I had a lot of energy.
Eventually, it was time to head back to the hotel, but before we could leave I blurted out, "I want to play on the swings. Can we go to the park?"
The girls looked at me for a second before Emily grinned, looking at veterans, "Yeah can we?"
A few of the other younger players all agreed, giving them the same pleading look that I was. After a few seconds, Ali sighed, "Of course you can."
I squealed, jumping up and down before jumping into Ali's arms, "Yes!"
Pretty much the entire team had come with me to the park. I was a bit surprised, they likely had better things to do than watch a 24 year old run around a park. Despite that, some of the younger girls played with me while everyone else watched, laughing and smiling. Besides Ally and maybe one other close friend, I had never had people who willingly went to the park with me and didn't judge me for it. Now they knew about my ADHD, had never judged me for it and were always supportive, I was starting to be more myself around them. It was still a work in progress, but I was getting there slowly. An hour and a bit later, the girls dragged me back to the hotel for dinner.
It was team bonding night, normally I didn't mind it, I actually quite enjoyed it, but today I was dreading it. I had mostly been able to push through it today, to control the sensory overload, but everything was getting too overwhelming at the moment. I knew I wouldn't be able to sit through a movie or pay attention to any games they may want to play. Ali sat down next to me, hand going to my knee to stop it from bouncing, "We're going to watch a movie, I know you're probably a bit over stimulated so you can play Legos."
My head shot up at the mention of Lego, before confusion seeped in. I didn't have any Lego here, "Lego? What Lego?"
"Here. We got you this today." Alex pulled out a bag. There was a Doctor who Lego set which looked like the inside of a Tardis and there was a Jurassic world one that included a mansion and multiple different dinosaurs. It was two of my favourite shows/movies. I couldn't stop myself as I dropped the bag on the bed and jumped up and down clapping my hands. I was incredibly excited, the hardest part would be choosing which one to do first.
"Thank you, thank you!! I'm so excited." I gave Alex a quick hug before pulling away and playing with my fingers suddenly a bit nervous. I wanted to hang out with them, but I also really wanted to call Ally. We hadn't talked much today and I missed her, "Um can I play with them in my room?"
I saw concern flash across the veterans faces before Ali stepped forward, "Of course you can Y/n. Is everything okay?"
"Everything's just a bit much at the moment. Sensory overload or whatever. I think I'm going to call Ally, she can always quieten my mind."
Emily looked confused as she spoke up, "But you seem so excited."
"I am about the Legos, they look like so much fun, but sometimes the hyper activeness can get overwhelming. It may look like fun, but I can't control it and it just gets too much and I-I-I-"
Ali quickly cut me off, "It's okay, is there anything we can do to help?"
"A hug? Maybe Tierna?" Ever since we met, Tierna always brought me comfort. She gave amazing hugs and I was always able to relax even if it was just a little bit. Tierna smiled, opening her arms for me to fall into. It helped me relax a little bit, but I wished it was Ally. Even just hearing her voice calmed my mind.
After a few seconds of hugging Tierna, I jumped back up, "I'm going to play with my Lego!"
"We'll check on you later."
I set up at the desk before quickly facetiming Ally. She answered instantly. As usual she was sitting on the floor with papers all around her. She always worked more when I was away because I wasn't there to distract her.
Hey baby
My mind slowed down, body relaxing as I heard her voice, Hi love
You okay?
I forgot my meds this morning, I was just getting overwhelmed. Oh guess what!
You love me?
So much, but look the team got me Legos!! I have a doctor who one and a Jurassic world one!
That's awesome baby, are you going to do those now? What one are you going to do first?
Um, I think maybe the doctor who one. I was thinking I could do this with you on the phone? Unless you'll get bored?
Of course we can stay on call, I'll never get bored of being able to just look up and see you.
Thank you, tell me about your day?
It was sameold same old, but I have a story to tell you
I zoned out completely, my focus on the Legos and Ally's voice. It was just as much fun as I expected it to be. I knew it would be hard to pull myself away from it now that I had started. I don't know how long had passed, but I looked up at my phone, freezing when I saw Ally wasn't wearing anything with water slowly dripping off her.
Whoa, when did you get naked?
Ally laughed, turning to look at me quickly, About 15 minutes ago when I told you I was having a shower. I'm quite surprised the sound didn't make you look up.
You are gorgeous baby, but I was very much invested in my Legos. I'm almost finished this one!
I know baby, I also know you would have looked up in a heartbeat if I said I was getting naked, but I wanted you to have fun with your Lego. It's looking very good.
You are absolutely correct. You do look incredible though Ally.
Thank you, you're not so bad yourself. I expect to be taken with you next time you shower. How have things been since the team found out about your ADHD?
They're protective, but they make sure I take my meds most of the time anyway, try to help when I get over stimulated and I can just be myself. We all went to the park today because I wanted to. They're starting to work out what it actually means for me and how to help without going to far. I guess I need to thank you, I know you gave them tips and tricks about it.
Do I get to say I told you so now? They care about you Y/n, they just want to help, I just want to help, it's one of the only ways I knew how when we're apart.
I'm not upset about it Ally. I appreciate it. I know they care and I'm starting to open up more. I'm still trying to get past the thoughts and feelings of my childhood, there's still a lot I hide from them.
And that's okay, you're getting there though, you are letting yourself be more open, more yourself and I'm so proud of you.
I wouldn't have done any of this without you.
All I did was help you along when you needed it.
Before I could reply, the door opened which made me scramble to grab my phone as Ally still wasn't wearing anything. Ashlyn, Ali and Alyssa walked in, giving me a suspicious look as I turned around to face them, still hiding my phone. They must have got the key from Tierna.
Ashlyn tried to look what was on my screen, but I quickly blocked her, "What are you hiding?"
"Nothing."
She scoffed, giving me a pointed look, "Well that's a lie."
"Is that Ash?"
Ashlyn gave me a confused look, almost tilting her head like a puppy, "Why are you hiding Ally?"
I cleared my throat, glancing at the screen quickly before looking back at them, "She uh, she's well naked."
"Naked? You're to young for stuff like that!"
"I'm 24!"
"You're innocent!"
"I'm far from innocent! Ask Ally."
"Gross."
I laughed, along with Ally before explaining, "She just had a shower."
"I'm dressed now."
The girls had grown to really like Ally and I knew she was going to be taken from me so I blew her a kiss, "Bye baby. I love you."
---
For some reason I was struggling a lot more this camp than I normally would. While taking my meds did help me focus most of the time, I was restless, I wasn't sleeping well, and I found myself getting more over stimulated and irritable because of it. The team had noticed and were trying their best to help. They would distract me when possible, giving me things to do such as colouring or something to do with my hands. They had learnt when I needed a tight hug or to be left alone, when I needed quiet and when music helped. It had taken then a while and they didn't always get it right, but they were trying.
Today was a particularly hard day. I had slept really badly, I was overstimulated pretty much the minute I woke up. Normally a shower helped, but this morning it barely helped. Every little sound felt like it was enhanced, all the clothes I tried to put on except my sports bra, felt like little pins pressing against my skin and suffocating me. I didn't know how I was going to make it through breakfast. I just felt like I was going to cry at any second. Tierna watched as I tried shirt after shirt, each one feeling the same way. Eventually, Tierna took the shirt from my hand, "It's okay. You don't have to wear a shirt right now. Ali is going to bring you breakfast and we're just going to stay in the room for a while."
"T-thank you."
"Can I help in anyway?"
"Um, maybe a hug."
Tierna wrapped her arms around me tightly, my mind calmed down a bit as I relaxed against her. It wasn't enough to make everything stop, but it was enough that I didn't want to stop hugging her. Before she could pull away I quickly asked, "Please don't stop."
"Come here," Tierna said quietly, guiding me so I was lying down on the bed next to her, head on her chest as she held me tightly. I heard the facetime call tone before Tiernas phone was placed in front of me and Ally appeared.
Hi my love
Hi Al, aren't you at work?
I am, but I wanted to call and check in
I'm fine. You don't have to worry about me when you should be working
Don't do that. You're having a bad day, I'm going to take a few minutes to make sure you're okay. What's going on baby?
Everything's just wrong today. I wish you were here. Tiernas great, but she's not you
I know baby, me too. I'm glad she's helping a little bit at least. Thank you T
We talked for a few more minutes before Ally had to go to a meeting and the other Ali arrived with breakfast. I didn't feel like completely falling apart anymore which was good, but it still wasn't great. Ali gave me a tight hug before leaving while Tierna turned to me, "Do you want me to stay?"
"It's okay. I think some time alone will be good."
"Okay. Text if you need me. Come down if you want to, but you don't have to."
"Thank you T."
I stayed in my room for most of the day except when I went on a short walk around the hotel gardens. The girls brought me lunch and stayed for a little bit to watch tv with me. They weren't their usual loud and chaotic selves which I appreciated more than they would ever know. I was much more relaxed by the end of the day and I was able to join them for dinner. I hadn't heard from Ally again which sucked because she always helped, but I knew she was busy today and I couldn't expect her to always be around to help me. When 8pm rolled around and I still hadn't heard from her, I started to get worried. It wasn't normal to not hear from her for this long. I knew she was likely just working or out with friends. Given my current state though I was starting to let the self doubt creep in. Maybe she had finally had enough of me.
Ali sat down next to me as I was staring at my phone before it was taken from my hand, "You look like you're ready to murder your phone, what's wrong?"
It was stupid. I knew I was overreacting, I knew Ally would never do anything like what I was thinking. Today though, I couldn't stop it. So I told Ali everything. Ali wrapped her arm around my shoulder before flicking the side of my head, "Stop that. Stop even entertaining the idea. You know Ally would never do anything like what you're thinking. That girl loves you so much even a blind person could see it. You can always text her first, that's allowed."
"She's probably busy. I-I don't want to annoy her."
My temple was flicked again, "Stop that thinking. You don't annoy her when you text her. You don't annoy her full stop. So push that aside and text her."
Y/n: Hey love, I know you're busy, but I just wanted to tell you I love you and make sure you're okay. Look after yourself, don't forget to eat. Call me when you can.
"See, that was easy right?"
"Yes, you were right. Sorry for dumping all this on you."
"Never apologise for that. I'm always here for you."
Ally: Hey baby, I'm sorry I've been out of touch today, it's super busy here. I ate dinner, but I'm still at work. I don't think I'll be able to call again today, I'm exhausted and just planning on falling into bed when I get home, I'll message you before I go to bed. I love you
Ally had sent a photo of herself sitting at her desk, eyes tired with a matching tired smile. I hated how tired she looked. I hated that I knew most of it was because she wasn't sleeping well without me, the same way I wasn't sleeping well without her, "She's still at work."
"See, I told you so."
---
I was deep in conversation with Lindsey when there was a tap on my shoulder and a squeaky voice coming from behind me, "Hey beautiful, can I get your number?
"No I ha-" I cut myself off as I flung around to find Ally standing there, wide smile forming. I squealed, jumping up and wrapping my legs around her waist, before connecting our lips in a lingering kiss, "Ally!"
"Hey baby."
"How are you here?"
"The girls flew me out."
Once I pulled away, I turned to find the team standing behind us. Tears sprung to my eyes as I looked between each of them, "You guys did this?"
Ali smiled softly, nodding in conformation, "You've been struggling the last little while. We tried to help you, but it wasn't working. We love you, we wanted you to be okay and we figured this was the best way to help. You're allowed to get your own hotel room while she's here as well. Save Tierna from your grossness."
"Thank you guys. I-I love you, all of you. This, this- thank you."
"You're welcome kiddo."
Tierna was in our room and mine and Ally's room wasn't ready yet so Ally and I had snuck off to the meal room to have some time away from the girls. Ally had an excited smile on her face, "Why do you look so excited?"
Ally pulled out a little box, smile growing wider, "I was going to give you this later, but I can't wait. I saw this and thought of you instantly. It's a promise ring, my promise to you that I will always be by your side, my promise that when the time is right, it will be replaced by an engagement ring. I also know you struggle with rings so I put it on a chain. You can decide how you wear it."
"I love you so much Ally, I love this. I really want to try wearing it, it'll just be an adjustment."
I knew I wanted to marry Ally, but I also knew that we weren't quite there yet. Not because we didn't love each other enough or anything, we just wanted to focus on our careers before making that move. "You know I'm going to marry you one day right?"
"I know and I can't wait to marry you Y/n, but I also know the timings not right yet. You're just starting your national career, I'm working on this promotion. It'll happen when the time is right. I have something else for you. It was supposed to be for our anniversary, but there were delays and it took way longer then planned."
Ally gave me a wrapped package, watching me as I carefully unwrapped it. It was a photo album. The first picture was of Ally on my back, matching grins on our faces as we looked at each other. We had only been together for a month or so when that photo was taken, yet it was one of my favourite pictures. There were many different photos from different stages of our relationship and with our friends and family. Beside each photo of us, Ally had written a little message. Like next to a photo we had taken during a beach picnic, Ally was looking at me with so much love in her eyes while I was looking out at the water. Next to it, she had written 'This was the day I knew I had fallen in love with you. The effort you put into surprising me, the way I knew I didn't want it to end, the way my heart raced and butterflies erupted when you looked at me, I knew without a doubt, that I was in love with you.'
Tears stung my eyes as I closed the album, pulling her into a tight hug. I loved her more than anything in this world.
"I don't understand! How are you so fucking amazing, so god damn cute? You're so understanding and so loving it's not fair! God I love you so much, what did I do to deserve you? You just need to stop because I-" I ranted, much to Ally's amusement, but was cut off by Emily speaking up. I hadn't realised they had shown up.
"Woah, what's going on? Are you two fighting?"
Ally laughed, turning to the other girls, "Quite the opposite actually. Y/n here is apparently annoyed by how cute and loving I am."
"It's very hard to focus on anything other then you and it's not fair. Like how am I supposed to focus on anything other than marrying her when she goes and does shit like this?"
They looked confused at the book I was holding, "A photo album?"
"Look at it."
They flipped through the different photos of Ally and I, reading the little messages she had written, "This is cute."
"I know! And I love it! It's adorable and it makes me just fall for her even more."
"Then what's the problem?"
"It's distracting! I'm supposed to be focusing on my career and all I can think about is running off to make her my wife. It's not fair."
Ally just laughed, arm wrapping around my waist and leaving a lingering kiss on my lips, "You are adorable Y/n. I love you."
"Yeah I love you too."
"Has this happened before?"
"Yup, mostly when I do something cute. I find it hilarious."
I pulled her into my side, peppering kisses across the side of her face. Then I remembered the Lego I had sitting on the desk in my room. I pulled away quickly, practically jumping up and down with excitement, "Baby come see my Lego!"
Ally laughed as I dragged her away. Ali called from behind us just before we went out of ear shot, "I expect to see you at dinner Y/n."
I stopped in front of my desk, pointing at the nearly finished Tardis, "Look, look, look."
"This is awesome Y/n/n, is it almost finished?"
"Yes, I want to finish it so bad."
"You can work on it now if you want to."
"I really do, but I want to do this more," I pulled her close, connecting our lips in a soft kiss. I relaxed against her, hands slipping under her shirt as hers looped around my neck. Things got a bit heated as Ally's fingers buried in my hair and mine traveled up her back then trailed over her stomach. Ally moaned when my tongue met hers, pulling me impossibly close. I pushed her onto the bed, lips finding her neck as I fumbled with the button on her jeans.
Just as Ally finished, my phone vibrated in my back pocket, making me pull away.
Tierna: I gave you as much time as I could to do whatever it is you're doing, but I've been sent to get you. You have 2 minutes before I open the door. Please be decent.
I laughed, showing Ally the message. She pecked my lips quickly before going to get cleaned up while I opened the door. Tierna was standing just down the hall, "Thank you T."
"Anytime Y/n."
---
I sighed cuddling further into Ally's side, feeling more relaxed than I had since I left for camp. Ally kissed my temple, "You okay baby?"
"You're here so I'm amazing. I missed you Al."
She held me tighter, fingers tracing patterns across my arm, "Me too Y/n. I missed you."
"I hate that I have to travel so much."
"It's part of your job, we make it work."
"I know that, I just wish you could come with me to more camps. Purely for my own selfish reasons of having you around all the time."
Ally rolled over onto her stomach so she was facing me, "You know, if I get this promotion then I'll be able to work from pretty much anywhere most of the time."
"Wait, really?"
"Yup. Which means I could potentially come to more camps with you, if you want to be around me that much that is."
"I fucking love you Ally. There's not a second that goes by that I don't want to be around you, that I don't crave being around you. Marry me Ally. I know we said that we should wait, but I don't want to. I want to spend the rest of my life with you by my side. This isn't how I planned it, I don't have a ring and it doesn't have to be now, but right now I want to call you my fiancé. So Ally, will you marry me?"
"Fuck yes, yes I'll marry you Y/n. I don't care about a ring or some elaborate proposal. We could get married in the court house tomorrow for all I care. As long as I get to spend my life with you."
---
I skipped into the meal room, feeling on top of the world and hyperactive, but mostly happy. It wasn't unexpected, I got to marry the girl I was absolutely in love with and I actually slept well for the first time since camp started.
"Hello ladies," I sung before skipping over to Ally and pecking her lips, "Hello my beautiful fiancé."
"Hi gorgeous, you're awfully happy this morning."
"Well can you blame me? I get to marry the most beautiful girl in the world, also I slept really well so you get to deal with that."
Ally groaned playfully, "Oh no, however will I cope? Let alone for the rest of our lives."
"Wait, you're engaged?!? I thought you were waiting?" Tobin asked loudly, gathering the attention of everyone in the room.
I couldn't help the wide smile that grew, "I couldn't wait any longer."
Ali hugged me tightly, placing a kiss to my forehead, "I'm so happy for you kid. I'm proud of you."
"Thank you Ali, I need your help," I whispered so no one else could hear. I needed to find the perfect ring for Ally, but I knew I would overthink it too much. I also knew the girls would turn it into something bigger then I needed it to be.
"Anything."
"I need help finding a ring for Ally."
"Of course I'll help. We can sneak out this afternoon, just me and you."
"Thank you Ali."
Emily jumped on my back, "So when's the wedding?"
I pulled her off, taking the opportunity to pull her in for a noogie, "I don't know."
Ally separated us, barely containing her laugh, "We were thinking a court house wedding."
"No!"
"You have to have a wedding!"
As the girls talked about the wedding, I couldn't help feeling that I had found my family. I had found a group of people that didn't see me as my quirks, hyper activeness, overstimulation or problems. They saw me as me, they supported me for who I was. I had the love of my life and my family. I was truly loved by people I saw as family for maybe the first time in my life. I was happy.

I won't get to eat
CW: regressed ghouls. Ik that's not something everyone enjoys so read at your own discretion. Minor tw: disordered eating and a timeout.
Phantom struggles with hiding his food.
At this point in time, it was a known affair that Phantom regressed, not that anyone minded. They all found him quite silly and adorable however, he had some bad habits that only intensified the smaller he felt. It made sense though, especially to Mountain and Copia, his main caregivers. They had been the first to pick up on what he face and body language meant and they were the ones who, by far, helped him the most. It wasn't a shot at the other ghouls, everyone was well aware that Mountain and Copia had the most patience and knowledge when it came to little ghouls who had some troubling behavior.
It had started going down hill at lunch. Phantom had been exhausted from little sleep and lots of practice. This made him far more snappish than usual.
An eye roll and scoff was all Swiss got when asked how practice went which alarmed the multi ghoul. It wasn't often that their youngest acted in such a mean manner. Swiss just whistled and took his coffee to his room, not having it in him to put up with Phantom's attitude.
Ironically enough, Phantom felt the tears well up once Swiss had left. He hadn't meant to be mean, he was just so tired. The strong emotions plus an empty kitchen sent him into a primitive mindset though. He started grabbing all the prepacked food he could before scurrying into his room and dropping his hoard of food. Internally, it made sense to him. He had kissed off Swiss and now he risked not being fed. That wasn't actually the case though as they had been trying to tell him that no matter how mad they were with him, he'd always be loved, fed, clothed and allowed his own space. Right now, he couldn't see that though. Too little and too distraught.
The little ghoul started putting the food around his room, hiding it in every nook and cranny like a squirrel. That was until a nock echoed through his room and he stopped dead in his tracts.
"Little bat, it's Mountain. May I come in?" A soft yet firm voice asked from the other side of the door. Phantom shoved all the food underneath his blankets.
"Co-come in," he said softly, sitting on his bed, careful to mind his snacks. The stutter was a tell take sign of his little mindset as he had worked hard on shaking that while big. Literal months of speech therapy.
Mountain opened the door and shut it behind him at that, looking at Phantom with a sad look as he started to walk over. The little ghoul just stared at his feet, trying to ignore everything. He felt hot under the collar and like he brain was a mess. Be could practically smell the trouble he was in. However, he wasn't expecting the near giant ghoul to sit down.... Right on his snack pile. It caused Mountain to stand up just as quickly as he had sat down.
"Phantom, what is that?" Mountain asked a little more firmly that he intended which just caused the quintessence ghoul to look ten times more guilty. After sitting there for a minute, Mountain knew he wasn't going to get an answer but that was okay. When Phantom felt stressed words were hard to get out, however, that didn't mean the little ghoul could get away with everything.
Pulling back the blanket, Mountain just sighed but quickly silenced himself, not wanting to put more pressure on Phantom.
"I need you to go to the corner, Phantom, for 5 minutes," he says softly, planting a soft and short kiss to the little ghouls forehead. He didn't want to risk Phantom feeling even more guilty or like he had left someone done, however, rules were in place for a reason and this was one of them. The time out wasn't even a true punishment, rather it was a time for the both of them to think about what happened before discussing it.
Phantom spends the 5 minutes, curled up in a ball, his tail in his mouth gently sucking on it to self sooth. Mountain had taken this time to put the snacks that weren't hidden into a bag to take back out as well as finding one of the pacifiers they had gotten for Phantom.
"Come her bat," Mountain said softly once the 5 minutes were up, facing Phantom with his arms open. The little ghou leave running and hugged Mountain tightly. So-so-sorry, i-i-," his words were choked back by his cries and stutter.
"Breath, hey, hey, breath. Find your words first, Baby," Mountain reminded him softly, gently positioning him on his lap and holding his hand. He mimicked deep breathing for the little ghoul until he joined in and finally caught his breath and appeared more calm.
"There you go," Mountain said softly, gently rubbing Phantom's legs.
"S-sorry for... For tak-taking fo-food," Phantom stuttered which got a nod from Mountain.
"I'm not mad about that, Baby bat, or at all. However, you know our rules. We don't hide or hoard food, right? We share our food with everyone in this house, right babby bat?" Mountain questioned softly, looking at Phantom's eyes which refused to meet his. The other ghoul nodded though which was enough for Mountain to feel like he understood.
"Can you tell me why you felt this way? Or would it be easier to write it down right now?" The earth ghoul asked in the same level tone. Phantom holds up a small and shaky two which causes Mountain to shuffle and pull out his phone, opening up the notes app and handing it to Phantom. The smaller ghoul takes it and quickly types what be was feeling.
'Was mean to Swiss. He mad. I wont get to eat.'
Reading this, Mountain nodded again before stating, "But that's not true little one. You know that right?" Phantom nods, "That's a good boy. You've had a long day, haven't you? Was being mean to Swiss the icing on the cake?" Another nod. Mountain pulls Phantom into a tight hug, one that the other could have prevented if he had wanted, clearly not the case. The food hoarding had been an issue since Phantom had first been summoned and they all knew it was going to continue to be one for a long while but that was fine; they loved Phantom for who he was completely.
"I think we should go apologize to Swissy and then maybe take a nap, hmm?"

PERIOD CASE. + EDDIE MUNSON
Tumblr media
masterlist. / taglist. / any request? summary. Eddie, your boyfriend, is sitting beside you, waiting for the right moment to take action or at least prepare to defend himself. as you curl up into a ball, wrapping your arms around yourself in search of comfort author's note. okay i tried my best, i don't really know how to write about periods that well sorry :( trying to get more comfortable writing for fem readers so this is a good practice. (reupload)
[ ❥ ] pairing. eddie munson x reader
[ ❥ ] word count. 862
[ ❥ ] genre. fluff
[ ❥ ] warnings. fem reader, not show canon, established relationship, just tooth rotting fluff, Eddie being a caring boyfriend, periods, excuse the grammar mistakes or you're homophobic.
Tumblr media
The guy wasn't known to express much of his emotions, even to the closest of people that he knew, which included you, but just because he wanted to be open with them doesn't mean that he doesn't have emotions in general.
He's still worried about you and made sure to show affection for you in his own personal way.
That included the times you were on your period. Eddie would proceed with the greatest amount of caution at the end of the month.
He had flinched with each step you took towards his bedroom, almost jumping out of his skin as you opened his bedroom door, like the door had done something to you. Stomping toward his mattress before falling face-first into his bedsheets. Crawling to lie in the fetal position.
He had been watching you all day since the moment he picked you up from school in the morning. He didn't really know how to comfort you.
You had already snapped at him the moment he wanted to do something nice for you, simply opening the car door to let you out, only for you to snap back at him for invading your personal space. He was beyond fucking confused.
He was fidgeting with the rings on his fingers when you snapped your head in his direction. Eddie shivered under your gaze, straightened up, and nervously smiled at your peering eyes.
"What?" His eyebrow raised, not expecting your hostile tone as you spat the question at him.
"Uh…what…" looking around his room before glancing at you.
"You're the one staring at me like I'm some freak." You glared, your eyes piercing into his soul as your skin was flushed and your bloated face had fallen into a permanent scowl.
"I–I didn't say that," he quickly defended himself, "you look, you know, okay? Did you want something?"
Your boyfriend, Eddie Munson, was what other people would refer to as a "helicopter boyfriend".
"Yeah, I want you to leave me the hell alone." Eddie’s eyes widened from how quickly you went from glaring at him to curling up in his blankets sobbing.
You could hear his hesitant fidgeting, humming to himself in confusion, wanting to do anything but a mess at that moment.
He knew one thing that would at least sweeten the mood just a bit, something that you would never refuse, your favorite snacks. He practically ran to his kitchen cabinet, his face flushed with sadness.
His pace was only picking up more every time your sobs would split just enough time for you to have a coughing fit, practically choking on your tears, your crying echoing through his trailer.
"Hey, bub?" He would return to his bedroom with his arms full of anything he could remember. He could even suggest eating while at his place. "I've got a few things for you if that's cool." Your tears do not subside as your shoulder raises and falls with every hiccup.
You were weirdly silent as you accepted the spread of food from your boyfriend's arms, a content exhale leaving your mouth the moment you heard the crinkle of your favorite bag of chips opening between your fingers.
Eddie is hovering over beside you, not wanting to be much of a bother himself.
His knee was sunken into the mattress, waiting for the right moment to jump into action or at least get ready to defend himself, whichever way you were feeling, just wanting to be prepared.
Taking only a handful of bites from everything, nothing could distract you from the pummeling pain of cramps that stabbed at your lower stomach.
Your lips pout once more like a whine backed with pain curls from your throat. Curling back up into a ball, wrapping your arms around yourself, seeking some type of comfort.
Eddie’s eyes follow you as he sits on the other side of the mattress, comfortably reaching a hand out to rub your back in comforting circles, his touch actually doing the opposite of irritating you, crying harder as you're rolled over, wrapping your arms around his lower torso, hugging your face into his back.
The gesture continues to calm you down just a bit. You loved the warmth and natural scent he gave off as you nuzzled your cheek against the back of his shirt, sighing with a shaky breath.
"You need anything else, angel?" asks Eddie in a concerned tone, his hands reaching to unclasp your fingers from his torso, holding them in his own as he reaches his hand up and pecks the back of your hand.
Your muffled voice answered, "Just hurts." Eddie hums in agreement, his head ducking low and brows furrowing.
"It’ll be okay, angel," he starts, your groan in protest interrupting him.
"Stop saying it’ll be okay, everything hurts so bad," you whine, as all Eddie could do was admit to comfort you, walking on eggshells with every word he spoke from his lips.
Only meeting your sudden outbursts with nervous smiles and embraces that held temporary warm comfort. He didn't pretend to understand your pain, nor had he ever downplayed it.
He just wanted to be there for you as much as possible.

ship: Eddie Munson/Nancy Wheeler wc: 1.6k A/N: late post because the blorbos were blorboing, and I have emotions about these two idiots
Tumblr media
“I don't think I'm going to make it home tonight,” Nancy told her mom over the phone. “If the snow stops and the roads don't look too bad, I might try to drive home later, but Mr. Munson doesn't think it's safe enough to go out unless it's absolutely necessary. He already said that it’s fine if I stay here for the night. I promise I’ll call you if anything changes, okay?”
If Nancy had known that agreeing to tutoring Eddie at the Munson trailer was going to lead to her having to spend the night, she might have been a little more insistent about sticking to their normal library meeting spot. It wasn’t that she hated the idea of having to stay over there. She just felt bad being another person taking up space in their home when Eddie’s uncle already slept on a cot in the living room due to the lack of space.
After getting off the phone with her mom, she moved to take her seat across from Eddie at the kitchen table again.
“So, how about we do one more problem set, and then we can call it a night?” she suggested, flipping through her chemistry notes to find some practice equations that they hadn’t done yet.
Eddie flopped forward to rest his head on the table.
“I will actually die if I have to balance one more equation. My head will explode. Can we please do anything else?”
“I thought you wanted to pass this chemistry test? You need more practice.”
“Think of my uncle, Nance. What’ll he do without me?”
“Probably get some peace and quiet for the first time in my life,” Wayne said without looking up from where he was sitting on the sofa tying his work boots.
Nancy stifled a laugh as Eddie shot back up into a sitting position and stared at his uncle with a look of pure shock and betrayal.
“If you really need a break from studying so much, why don’t you make your guest some dinner?” Wayne suggested. “If she’s staying over, you should probably offer to feed her.”
“Of course. Where are my manners?” Eddie said, resting his arms on the table and leaning forward to smile at Nancy. “Welcome to Chez Munson. It would be my honor to make dinner for you.”
“Real food, too. Don't go offering her spaghettios or whatever other canned junk you eat when I'm not around.”
“You don't have to go to any trouble for me,” Nancy insisted. “I'm fine with whatever.”
Eddie ignored her and turned his attention towards his uncle.
“Want me to save you a plate of whatever it ends up being?”
“Sure. Stick it in the microwave, and I'll reheat it when I get home.”
“Any preferences?”
“Surprise me.”
“Can do. Stay safe out there. Don't drive like I do.”
“Wouldn't dream of it.”
Wayne said his goodbyes, and as soon as he was out the door, Eddie was up and out of his seat searching through the kitchen cabinets and checking the fridge to see what he could make.
“You really don't have to go to any trouble for me,” Nancy said as she watched him start to rummage through the cabinet of pots and pans.
“Who says I'm going to any trouble?” he asked. “Maybe I do this all the time.”
“You do?”
“A guy's gotta eat. When my uncle started working nights, I started messing around in the kitchen because I found out he was never eating a hot meal. Just eating cereal or a bologna sandwich when he came home from a shift. And it's fine if I eat garbage, but I'm not gonna let him live like that after everything he's done for me, you know? I almost burnt the place down a couple times, but I haven't gotten any complaints yet.”
Nancy was touched by his story. Truthfully, she still didn't know much about Eddie. For the most part, he was just the guy that she tutored twice a week, but they'd slowly been becoming friends. She liked spending time with him, and finding out things like this - pieces of him she was sure not many other people knew - only made her grow even fonder of him.
“Is there anything I can do to help?” she asked.
“I think I've got it covered. You can go watch TV if you want. When I cook for a beautiful woman, she doesn't have to lift a finger?”
“So you're in the habit of cooking for beautiful women?”
“You're the first actually. Now get out of here so I can work my magic.”
He shooed her out of the kitchen, and she went to go sit on the couch, but she was too preoccupied with the fact that he'd called her beautiful to focus on anything on TV. Since when did Eddie think she was beautiful? She was under the impression that their relationship was strictly professional, but even she couldn't deny that she felt something whenever he smiled at her.
When Eddie eventually made his way over to the couch, he was carrying two identical plates of food loaded up with breaded chicken cutlets, stovetop stuffing, and canned peas and carrots.
“It's nothing fancy, but I guarantee it'll taste good.”
They ate mostly in silence as Eddie channel-surfed trying to find something decent for them to watch.
“Color me impressed,” Nancy said after they'd finished dinner. “I didn't expect that from you.”
“It was because of my uncle's spaghettios comment, wasn't it?”
“You just didn't seem like the cooking type.”
“If it wasn't for him, I probably wouldn't be.”
“Don't sell yourself short. You're good at this.”
“Thanks.”
Eddie smiled over at her, and she felt herself focusing on his lips. She couldn't let that happen, so she jumped up and grabbed their empty plates off the coffee table.
“Let me do the clean up,” she said as she headed towards the kitchen. “You cooked, so it's only fair.”
“Absolutely not.” Eddie moved to cut her off and blocked her from the sink. “You're the guest. I'm not letting you clean up the mess left behind by my cooking tornado.”
“I really don't mind,” she insisted.
“I'll never hear the end of it from my uncle if I let you clean up. He's used to coming home to my messes, so we don't have to worry about that right now.”
“Are you sure?” She eyed the dirty pots and pans on the stove. “It feels wrong to leave them there.”
“It's fine. I promise. You don't have to help clean up to earn your keep here. If that was the case, I would've been kicked out a long time ago. Just leave them for now.”
“Fine. But the second you're distracted, I'm doing those dishes.”
“I guess I've gotta keep myself fully focused on you then.”
“I guess so.”
“Wanna do something kind of stupid?” he asked.
“Depends on how stupid it is.”
“Put on your coat and shoes.”
Nancy quirked an eyebrow, but Eddie didn't allow her to question him. He just ushered her closer to the door before doubling back to grab a comforter from the closet. He took her outside and had her sit down on the edge of the stoop with him. He wrapped the comforter around their shoulders and held it closed in front of them to try and trap some extra warmth between them.
“Sitting out here is your something stupid?” she asked.
“Frostbite is no joke. Hence the comforter.”
The worst of the blizzard had passed but the snow was still falling in fat, fluffy flakes. The sky was dark, and there was a sense of calm washing over the trailer park. The only real light was from the stars.
“It's beautiful.” Nancy's voice was barely louder than a whisper as if she was afraid that her speaking would ruin the moment.
“I know.”
“Do you do this often?”
“Only when I need to think about something.”
“What are you thinking about now?”
“I don't know. That I like spending time with you, and I think you like spending time with me, too. That this is easy. That it feels right.”
Nancy was quiet again as she let his words wash over her. He was right. Spending time with him like this felt right. That's when she was hit by a somewhat startling realization.
“You cooked me dinner and wouldn't let me help or clean,” she started. “You took me out to your thinking spot to look at the stars. You called me beautiful . . . Was this a date?”
“Nah. This wasn't a date.” He turned to meet her gaze. “When I finally ask you out for real, you'll know.”
“So you're planning on asking me out?”
“As soon as I find the right moment.”
“And this isn't it?”
“You're stuck here for the night. It feels wrong to ask when you can't leave. Puts too much pressure on you to answer a certain way, and I don't want to do that to you.”
“Ask me tomorrow before I leave then?”
“I'll consider it.”
Eddie went to stand up and pulled Nancy up with him.
“Let's go back inside. I'll clean up the kitchen, and if you really wanna help, I'll let you dry the dishes. Then we can watch a movie or something. I'll even lend you some pajamas so you don't have to sleep in your jeans.”
“Sounds perfect.”
When Wayne came home from his shift, he found Nancy and Eddie snuggled up together fast asleep under the comforter on the couch bathed in the soft glow of the light from the television set. He microwaved his dinner - making sure to stop it without it dinging - and made his way back to Eddie's bedroom so he wouldn't disturb them. To him, it looked like his nephew had finally won over his dream girl.

yess dad mason series!!! you can write sth similar to the first one but without the bad dream. Maybe mason’s daughter meets the team in his house and have an evening all together 🥺
It hadn't taken them long to arrange something, one message and then another and another, and the evening at Mason's house was planned. The boy had ordered takeaway considering the number of people who would soon be populating his house. He enjoys cooking but he certainly wasn't going to waste time and energy on a bunch of men who were going to make a mess of his space.
The doorbell rings not long afterwards signalling the arrival of the first guest and as always Alice runs to the door and waits for him there, almost rushing him. Mason is still trying to make her understand that she cannot open the door if he or someone else he trusts is not around. For hours one day they've been forcing her poor grandpa to go outside and ring the doorbell for some sort of behavior practice, Mason's apprehensive side not letting a single hypothetical escape him.
"Okay go" he murmured to the little girl, who walked up to the door almost touching it with her nose.
"Who is it?"
"Ben"
"Uncle Ben!" and then she jumps on the spot excitedly to reach for the doorknob and Mason smiles behind her helping her to open the door and allow the boy to finally come in.
"Hey you! How's my beautiful girl?" he asks taking her in his arms and complying with the girl's implied request.
"Fine" the two set off familiar with the place, leaving Mason to close the door and to wonder if he hadn't suddenly become invisible.
Soon Reece, Ruben and Kai also make their entrance, having the little girl's attention for a few minutes. Too busy with whatever she is doing with Ben to pay attention to other people.
"You've just been on holiday together, it's only normal she wants to be with you" Reece is fighting at yet another failed attempt to engage the little girl in something other than his teammate.
"Guys, don't fight - Mason takes over to calm the other children, picking up his daughter and bringing her onto his lap - I'm sure this little one here can entertain everyone, can't you Alice?"
"No" she replies dryly, making Ben laugh, Mason not hiding a smile. And everyone is saved by the doorbell.
Alice wriggles out of her father's grasp and runs to the door, opening it and forgetting everything he had recommended or done a short time before. He can never drop his attention since she started walking.
Kepa is at the door, they were waiting for him, knowing he would be a little later. Alice searches for Mason with her gaze by stepping back a bit, clinging to his leg, suddenly feeling intimidated.
"Hola mariposa. This is for you" he hands her a packet by leaning towards her and all the awkwardness she had up to that moment suddenly is like gone.
"What do we tell Kepa?" Mason nudges her as the little girl has already taken a corner off that paper, curious to see what's inside.
"Thank you" she murmurs focused, not even looking up from the package.
"You didn't have to" Mason addresses his friend now, who smiles, shaking his head. "Just a little something"
"Colours!" Alice gasps drawing their attention to her and the smile on the boy's face widens knowing he has made her happy. She then runs into the large living room where her drawing station is located so she can try them on right away.
"They are special colours. They don't write on table, skin or walls"
"Oh it's perfect" Mason is left picking up the paper from the floor as the newcomer greets the rest of the boys.
The evening continues in full blast, the boys in full sync wasting no time in finding who to mock or topics to talk about. Alice is the one who gets the most attention, taking advantage of having not only her father to play with for once, trying a few games with a few people.
"I want to colour" she and Kepa are playing with a ball, he sits with his back against the couch and tosses it to her not far away, who promptly tosses it back. And he's talking to Mason about something else when the little one comes up to him and tells him about the change of scenery by letting herself go against him.
He wraps his hands around her hips protectively, "Go and get your colours then" he doesn't even have time to put her feet back on the ground that she has already run to her table taking the small box given to him earlier and a book with some drawings.
"What do you want to colour?" Kepa asks her after she sits cross-legged on the floor and starts flipping through that pages full of scribbled pictures.
"This one"
"Oh a ballena, good choice"
"What's a lena?" Alice looked at him curiously, tilting her head slightly to the side.
"Oh it's a... whale, yeah I think that's what it's called"
"Lena - she smiles again mispronouncing the spanish word, causing a big grin to appear on the keeper's face - blue cause it's in the water" and she certainly wastes no time in scribbling that too with the colour she just chose.
No one wants to admit it, but by the time Alice finally falls asleep in Mason's arms, everyone is exhausted. Perhaps more than a day's training. But they are surely rewarded, happy to have spent time with her and with no desire to stop being part of the little one's growth.

(day eight) perfect time , artturi lehkonen
note, this fic is part of my christmas series called taylor's very merry christmas series. check out this masterlist for the rest of the series. pair, artturi lehkonen x reader summary, artturi had been planning on proposing for months, but could never find the right time. that perfect time finally presents itself when they're both covered in snow. warnings, none word count, 1493 words
Tumblr media
gif credit to @gabelandeskog
Artturi had been trying to find the perfect time for months. During Valentine's day? No, that was to cliche. Your birthday? Nah, he didn't like that idea. Your anniversary? Also to cliche. After winning the cup? He tried to do it then, but you were either pulled away or were both too drunk to remember.
Artturi had been waiting for literally a year.
He couldn't wait another year, so he knew he had to do it soon. When he was gonna do it was up to fate.
You were decorating your house for Christmas. Due to the break being so short, you weren't able to visit Artturi's family, so it was just the two of you this year.
"Where does this one go?" Artturi asked, holding up one of the ornaments.
"There." When it came to the Christmas tree, everything had to be perfect, and Artturi was there to help. You took a step back to marvel at your work.
"It looks good." He complimented.
"It's missing something." He raised a brow, but unfurrowed it when he noticed the item in your hands, "The star."
"How're we gonna get it up there?"
"I'm gonna go on your shoulders."
"Yeah, no." He shook his head, "That sounds like a one-way ticket to the emergency room."
"Come on, you aren't tall enough even when you're standing on a chair..."
"Debatable, and rude." He butts in.
"... But if I'm you're shoulders, then we'll be tall enough." You told him as if you were explaining it to a toddler.
"Y/N now isn't really the time to be injured." He pointed out.
"Oh, come on. I'll be quick." You pleaded, "If it really bothers you, we can always call Mikko or Dermy. I think he might be the tallest guy on the team." You pulled out your phone, ready to call.
"No," He let out a defeated sigh, "Fine. We'll do it."
"Yay!" You grabbed a chair from the kitchen and stood on top of it, star in hand. Artturi bent down so you could climb onto his shoulders. When you were sure you were secure, he stood up carefully.
He held onto your legs so tight, you could barely move, but you could practically feel the panic and nervousness radiating off his body. He walked you both over to the tree, and you could definitely reach it, but you wanted to mess with Artturi.
"I can't quite reach it."
"You know what? We have a ladder." He reminded you, stepping back towards the chair.
"No, I got it. I just need to go a little higher." You told him, holding onto a branch of the tree so he couldn't go too far.
"Fine." He let go of your legs a little, giving you some space to push up a little. You let out a groan when you couldn't quite reach it.
"I can't get it." You kept going, "Do you think you could go a little higher? Maybe on your tippy-toes?"
"If I go that high, not only are we gonna go toppling over, the tree is going down with us."
"Just a little more." You begged.
He relented, and you felt all his muscles straining as he held both himself and you on the tops of his ties, "I can't reach it." You told him.
"That's it!" He shouted, planting his feet on the ground, "I'm done. We're done. I'll get the ladder or we'll call someone, but I'm done."
"Wait, wait, no, I'm kidding!" You exclaimed with a laugh, right before he bent down to set you back on the chair, "I can reach it. Go back."
He let out a groan but walked over to the tree, letting you reach up easily and slip the star onto the top of the tree, "See? That was easy."
"Yeah, that's easy for you to say." He rolled his eyes as he made his way over to the chair and set you down. When you were finally off his shoulders, he dropped to the ground.
"Oh, I'm not that heavy." You softly kicked him.
-
You went to sleep with a yard full of grass and woke up with a yard full of snow. You woke up before Artturi, so you woke up and did your regular morning routine, and headed to the kitchen to make coffee, but when you looked out the window, you were met with a field of snow instead of grass.
Your eyes practically bulged out of your skull as you looked at the snow. You set your mug down and ran back into your room where Artturi was still peacefully sleeping.
"Wake up!" You shouted, hopping onto the bed and jumping, startling him awake.
"What the heck?!" He shouted.
"It snowed." You told him, jumping into a sitting position in the middle of the bed, "Come on, we have to make a snowman and snow angels and maybe even a snow village."
"Yeah, you have fun with that." He grabbed the comforter and shoved it over his head.
"Oh, come on. It'll be fun." You grabbed the comforters off his body, "I'll make hot cocoa and we can do nothing for the rest of the day."
"Nothing?" He raised an eyebrow.
"We'll be so boring, paint drying will be more entertaining." He thought about it before throwing the covers off his body and heading into the closet to get warmer clothes, "That's the spirit!" You followed after him.
You soon found yourselves shin-deep in snow. Artturi was very busy making his snowman while you plotted a plan of attack. Attack of what?
Snowballs.
"I'm gonna go get a carrot." He headed back inside but stopped when you pelted him in the back with a snowball. He turned around and narrowed his eyes at you playfully, "That's just cold. A backshot? Come on."
You balled up another snowball and threw it at him, hitting him in the chest. You laughed when he gaped at you, looking similar to a fish out of water.
"Come on, Lehky!"
"Game on!" He balled up a snowball of his own and threw it at you, but you dodged it just in time. Sadly, the second time around, you weren't so lucky.
Eventually, you both ended up in the snow, laying next to each other, a laughing mess, "See? Wasn't this better than laying in bed?"
"Sort of." You propped yourself up on your elbows as you stared at him, "Well, at least in bed, I could feel my fingers."
"Not my fault you didn't wear gloves."
"'Cause I gave you mine!"
"And they thank you very much." You laughed, laying back down next to him. You stared up at the sky that was nothing but white, but Artturi wasn't looking at the sky, he was looking at you.
He felt a tightening in his gut, and he knew what it meant, "I need to get something. I'll be right back." He got up and ran inside. You watched him, a perplexed look on his face.
He came back less than a minute later, looking more nervous than he was when he ran inside, "You okay?"
"Yeah." His voice was all high-pitched and you could hear the anxiety.
"What's wrong?" You asked, taking off his glove and reaching up, placing your hand on his cheek.
"I've been trying to find the perfect time to do this, but could never and I think this is the perfect time." He pulled the ring box out from behind his pocket and you felt yourself stop breathing.
"I had a speech prepared in February, but it doesn't feel right now. This is all very spontaneous, so I don't have one prepared. I'll make it quick and simple." He got down on one knee next to you.
"You are the very best thing in the world. Even more than hockey or porridge." You both laughed tearfully, "You mean so much to me. You moved to another country for me, and that..." He let out a breath, "I don't even have any words to explain how much that means to me." You smiled.
"There aren't enough words in the world to express how much I love you." He finally opened the box, revealing the ring. It shimmered and shined in the sun as his hands shook.
"Will you marry me?" He asked, the look on his face tells you he's unsure if you'll say yes.
You laughed, "God, of course, I will, you goof!" You threw your arms around his neck. He let out a breath in relief and you felt his entire body intense, "What? Did you think I would say no?"
"I honestly didn't know what you'd say."
"Then you don't know me very well." You joked, pulling away so he could slip the ring don't your finger.
"Well, now we have a lifetime to figure each other out."
"You're so cheesy." You scrunched your nose.
"You're stuck with me now." He smiled.

A stream of consciousness. Not a new realization but I check in on distanced people more than they check in on me. I think I have come up with some ideas to play around with for a new poem! A little stoked because I haven't written one in awhile. Keep accidentally hanging out with dudes who ultimately just want to have sex. The benefit of the doubt hardly ever benefits me. There was one cool dude this past week, I guess. The thing is, when they skirt around their intentions, I kind of get off on getting them to just like. Voice it aloud. At some point during the night, I learn he is moving across the damn ass country soon and take note, considering I want something long-term. Later we start to makeout and it's fun, it's whatever. I like kissing. We break away after a little bit and I suggest that we walk to the corner store. He agrees, slipping in an "after". After what? Answer the question. And he eventually did. I want to fuck you. Surprise. He didn't even finger me. It was fine. See you never. My roommate is home from a 2-month thing. I cleaned the apartment from top to bottom... all of its nooks and crannies... I hope they feel welcomed! Still some stuff I want to hang and touch-up, all easily overlooked though. They are my secrets. Things just need to look lived in now. It's all too.... untouched... even though in actuality I spent the last few hours putting my hands all over everything. Arguably the most I have in a long time. Dusting and placing and rotating. You get it though... the living room needs to be hung out in.... broken in. I'm sure the suitcases have already made the place feel less... sterilized and proper... no longer like a set. The overhead lighting in the kitchen is harsh, always has been... often takes me out of reality! I have an idea to hang these paper pyramid-like string lights that I have had for years and years. Some are beat-up but I think it would add to the space... give us more options... and it just would be cute. Before my shower I removed the stain glass lightbulb, only leaving in two small red ones. Stood there, the water nice and hot. Sat on the tub floor. Closed my eyes. Leaned forward. Listened to the music I chose. Got out, screwed the loose bulb back in. I have an ongoing joke with myself that I will find my missing hard drive in a stupid silly fucking place, coping about it an entire year later. I noticed that I had some board games that were still taped shut from when I moved. Laughed with myself about the possibilities and opened them up. I am still holding out hope but no luck this time! I may knock on my old front door one day. I kind of resent the new owners for buying my home though. And how quick it all was. Like, get fucked, but also can I please have my hard drive? I mean, if it's in there. What I did find was a pile of half-used notepad sheets for a game that hasn't been played in forever. Some of them were drawn on by people I no longer speak to. One had a doodle done by my ex-boyfriend. It's weird to think about how I have lived, like, thirteen different lives. I think I would forgive a lot of people. Or even apologize to them. I also found two 8-in-1 retractable ballpoint pens. So, like, some treasure and a lot of thoughts. I did a little bit of glueing and taping and messing around in my journal. I feel I am doing okay in a very general sense. Trying my best and keeping up. I could do better. Can't we all though? Is that a cop-out? I don't care about money, I don't know, it's just practically all my parents would argue about in front of us. I don't care as long as my shit gets paid on time. But I think I have to shift gears and thought processes because I would like to live a little more comfortably, ultimately concerning myself with it less. Gonna look over my resume. Keep going, keep busy. Try to slim down my closet. Fix my camera. Maybe it did end up working on my last trip. Do this and that. Keep on playing Tears of the Kingdom and text dudes less. There's more passion involved with the former. Used used used. Wondering. Navigating. October is almost here.

Taru van den Born is a Dutch blacksmith with a degree in Psychology, who offers training to ND folks, which he believes is therapeutic in many ways. He is doing a wonderful thing for ND folks. Folks like me, as I have ADHD.
I feel the same concepts and benefits could be found in woodworking, or any number of handcrafting/trade fields like smithing and woodworking.
I've certainly found woodoworking immensely beneficial for my ADHD. I didn't even get diagnosed or treated until I was 32. I spent my life before that being terrible at everything, and never sticking with anything for long except music, which I still wasn't very good at. I never understood why and assumed I'd always be a mess. Couldn't even hold a job for very long.
I got into woodworking shortly after getting help for my ADHD. Getting therapy and meds was profoundly life changing. Woodworking (or any craft) is no substitute for proper treatment and I wouldn't be where I am without out the support and good work being done by the docs at the Adult ADHD Clinic at the Hope Centre in North Vancouver. It's the only clinic of it's kind in Canada, a pilot project where adults with ADHD can get help entirely funded by public healthcare.
Woodworking had given me something I can engage with and focus on. I can lose myself in it for hours working on some small detail, existing only in the space between the wood and aris of the chisel. It's grounding, and very gratifying.
It requires a degree of planning and organization. I've gotten a lot of use out of the organization and project management skills I learned in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, but also refined those and learned a lot more through woodworking. It's taught me a lot of patience as well.
It's also diverse enough to keep my ADHD brain filled with novelty and change. One day I might be carving dovetails, the next restoring an old tool using electrolysis, the next doing some basic metalworking to make a blade or a thread cutter. There's always new techniques and methods to learn or research to do. Maybe today I'll go down a rabbithole on Victorian furniture decorative carvings, or some obscure facet of making iron age lyres. I've even translated books from Swedish and Finnish just to learn the minutae of Tagelharpa and Jouhikko bowed lyres.
So it gives me a universe of things to explore while staying in orbit around that central point of woodworking.
In the end, I have a physical object I created, or someone else does, but I made it. I can see my progress in physical objective terms. There is something deeply satisfying about that. Its creative but also very functional and practical. I'm engaging my artistic side by making something that is beautiful, or makes beautiful noise. At the same time its something physical which serves a practical purpose.
I never thought I'd be good at anything, but I'm getting good at this, and getting better every day, and that simple thing alone has been so good for my ADHD brain.
Of course, at my job most of my day is just making simple components, customizing doors, or replicating pieces for customers, but its still grounding and satisfying. Sometimes that includes restoring 150 year old doors or replicating Victorian moulding. Replicating or making custom components often requires creativity as I need to work out how to do it, and occasionally design new jigs and guides specific to that component. Sometimes I get to make new tools or equipment, such as a router table, for the shop.
I have to give my company a lot of credit for being a supportive environment that's helped me grow and put up with my constant screwups. This is very much a form of privilege that many of us ND folk can only wish for, and I wish we could all have. Taru van den Born seems to be fostering that kind of environment, which is just as important as any practical skill he might teach there.
I think we all, ND and Normie alike, could learn some things from his example, and I don't just mean how to forge metal.
Anyway thanks for coming to my TED Talk.
