Into The Fire: An Eddie Munson x Reader Story Masterlist
Tumblr media
moodboard by the lovely @rafescurtainbangz
Tumblr media
divider by @strangergraphics
Story Description: The year is 1989, and you’re Dustin Henderson’s older sister. The story begins with your younger brother begging to host the latest Hellfire Club campaign at your house. With express permission from your mother, the game is set in motion. Which means the one and only Eddie Munson will be staying in your home for three whole days. You’ve been attracted to him for quite some time, though your proximity to one another has shrunken since you both graduated in ‘86, not that you were all that close to begin with. But this particular weekend, and a surprise accident, brings you two closer than either of you could have ever anticipated. What comes after is a relationship which fulfills you both like no other, with ups and downs to last you multiple lifetimes.
18+ WARNING, MINORS DNI: This story will contain smut, swearing, blood/violence, mentions of sexual assault/child abuse/similar subjects, parental death, kinks of various kinds, anxiety, use of drugs/tobacco/alcohol. I will post warnings on each individual part’s post so no one is taken by surprise, but you read at your own risk!
Other things to note: Eddie is 23 and still dealing drugs, Reader (Use of Y/N) is 20 and attends Hawkins Community College (yes, I’m pretty sure I made that up). The upside-down is never mentioned, though its existence isn’t denied. Essentially, the events of season four (and Hopper’s fake death at the end of season three) never take place, except for the boys joining Hellfire, and The Byers/Hopper clan living in California. Everything else is plausible, but explained as something non-supernatural if the subject comes up, i.e. Billy’s death, Mews being eaten, etc.
Story Parts: Pt.1 Pt.2 Pt.3 Pt.4 Pt.5 Pt.6 Pt.7
Tag List: @rafescurtainbangz @voyeurmunson @xxbimbobunnyxx @taintedcigs @mediocredreams @slowandsteddie @angel-munson @eldermayfield @munsonsbtch @babygorewhore @rattkween86 @violetpixiedust @bimbobaggins69 @purplehazed-h @morning-rituals @eddie-van-munson @msgexymunson @munsoneightysixx @impmunson @mysticalstar30 @jenniquinn @oneforthemunny @succubusmunson @ddeadly-succubus @prettyboyeddiemunson @sanctumdemunson @stalactitekilla @s6raphic (Please let me know if you want to join/be removed from the tag list! The Choice is Yours, Steve Harrington
When Steve Harrington starts getting threatening texts from an unknown number, he tries to take matters into his own hands. Little does he know that every choice he makes could have major consequences. His choices matter, and so do yours. So, what’s it gonna be? Ugh. Hargrove.
The guy was just - he really sucked, and Steve wished he was fucking gone. Now he was threatening Henderson? No way. Steve was going to settle this once and for all. Billy wasn’t going to mess with him anymore, he’d make sure of it.
Of course, Dustin was at the stupid concert. Steve really wanted to avoid it, but obviously he would do anything to protect his friends. He headed off to the Fairgrounds, practicing his speech to Billy the whole drive.
Listen to me, asshole. You’re gonna stay away from me and you’re definitely gonna stay away from my friends, or else. Got it?
By the time Steve got to the concert, it was winding down. People were pouring into the parking lot and speeding away in their cars. Steve knew that the kids planned on sticking around afterwards in hopes of meeting the band, so he figured they’d still be there.
It was kind of scary, being there alone at night. Robin was around somewhere, though, so that gave him some peace. He could probably just say her name three times and she’d appear beside him.
He continued looking for his friends as the place emptied out, feeling chills down his spine with every passing moment.
And then, he heard Billy’s voice. He sounded angry, as always. Steve followed the voice, puffing his chest out and trying to make himself look as intimidating as possible.
“Hargrove,” he said once he rounded the corner. Billy was alone, and he smiled the moment he realized it was Steve approaching him.
“Harrington!” he cheered wickedly. “To what do I owe the pleasure?” Steve rolled his eyes.
“You’re gonna leave us alone,” Steve demanded. “Me, Dustin, my other friends, all of us.” Billy smiled, fearlessly closing the gap between him and Steve until their faces were inches apart.
“Or what?” Billy teased between gritted teeth. “What are ya gonna do to me, Steve? You think you could take me down?”
Steve swallowed. Something about Billy always brought out his worst, most violent urges. Truthfully, Steve knew he wouldn’t win in a fight with Hargrove, and yet - he threw the first punch.
Steve’s fist clocked into Billy’s jaw. He laughed in response, then tried to hit back, but Steve dodged it. He was doing well at first - keeping up, at least - and then Billy got the upper hand.
Steve fell to the floor. Billy got on top of him. There was punch after punch after punch, and then everything went black.
When Steve came to, his ears were ringing and his head felt like it was going to explode. He’d failed. He’d come here to protect Dustin, and now who knew where he was or if he was safe? Steve sat up, and that’s when he saw that he still wasn’t alone.
Billy was on the floor across from him, sitting up with his back to the wall. He wasn’t moving. Steve couldn’t see much in the dim light, so he used his phone to get a better look.
Oh.
Oh, shit. There was blood everywhere, all stemming from stab wounds to the stomach and cuts on his arms.
Billy was dead.
Steve jumped backwards, falling over and skittering across the floor to get as much distance from the body as possible. This wasn’t happening. No, this wasn’t - who could have done this?
His shaky hand went back to his phone, which he’d dropped on the floor upon his discovery. He picked it up to call the police, because that’s what he knew he was supposed to do next. Even in his shock, he knew that’s what he had to do.
He dialed 9-1-1, and then his phone buzzed.

Hellfire's Girl
Tumblr media

Notes- This is my first Eddie fic. Also, I will be straying from the storyline. Please don't forget to comment. I'd love to hear feedback.
Masterlist
~Lena~
Moving to Hawkins wasn't as bad as I had originally thought. Sure it sucks that I had to leave, but knowing I was only about 3 hours away from my friends made me feel better about it.
Starting my senior year in a new high school on the other hand… blows.
Well, it would have if I cared about fitting in. Back home no one judged. But here? Oh boy did they. I had to keep some of my hobbies on the down low, for now at least. Apparently, Dungeons and Dragons was considered “Devil worshipping”. So much for me trying to find people to teach me how to play. Or so I thought. Barely one week in Hawkins High is all it took for me to make a friend. Or a few.
~English class~
I was sitting in the back because I couldn't pay attention today. I was a passing student so I wasn't worried.
As I tuned out the teacher, I started doodling on what should've been my notes. The only thing on my mind was smoking my last joint that was tucked away in my car. I was unconsciously drawing clouds around the leaf I had made on my paper.
“Hey, New girl.” I heard whispers next to me. Turning my head to see a boy wearing a shirt with the words “Hellfire Club”. Maybe it was a new band?
“Do you partake or just like drawing?”
This felt like a trick question. Was he trying to get me caught or being friendly? I've learned quickly not to trust anyone yet. The jocks and the cheerleaders are the royalty in the ranks. Any lower on the food chain and you're a target no matter what.
He felt my hesitation to the question so he continued, “I only ask because if you need “flower”- he points to my picture- I know a guy.”
That sounds even more suspicious! I lean in slightly whispering, “You do realize how that sounds like a total set up right? Why should I trust you?”
The boy puts his hands up in defense.“That's fair. But wouldn't me asking you just be me outing myself? Why would I rat both of us out?”
“Touche.”
“I’m Gareth by the way.”
“Lena. And hypothetically if I were to say I had “flower”. Would you partake?”
“Uh Duh.” We both laughed silently.
“You seem pretty cool Gareth.” I could tell that took him by surprise but he tried to cover it up.
“Uh, thanks. So do you.” he paused for a second “Would you wanna come sit with me and my friends during lunch? I can't guarantee that you'll think they'll be as cool as me but…” I giggled.
“I’d love to. And trust me if they're like you I'll like them way better than the “royalty”.”
With that said the bell had rung, dismissing everyone for lunch. I put my notebook in my bag seeing Gareth standing in the corner of my eye. Like he's waiting for me. How sweet.
“I have to put some stuff in my locker. You can go ahead and I'll find you.” I smiled at him. He nodded his head but looked unsure. Like he thought I was lying about sitting with them. Nonetheless, he walks out of the room towards the lunch room while I head to my locker.
~3rd Person~
As Gareth walked to the lunch room, he thought about Lena. Was she being serious about sitting with them? Regardless he would have to mention her to his friends. Even if she didn't sit with them she was one of the good ones.
As he walks through the doors, a roar of multiple conversations bounces off the walls. He grabs his lunch and then heads to his table with his dungeon master and best friend seated at the head of the table.
The kiddies arrived just as he sat down. Now was his chance.
“Hey guys, I invited the new girl to sit with us.”
Everyone at the table paused as if processing what Gareth had said. Then a chorus of laughs erupted from the group. “I’m serious!”
Eddie wipes a fake tear from his eye. “Good one Gare.”
“Yeah like a girl is gonna sit with us.”Jeff rolls his eyes.
“You're delusional man!”
With Gareth trying to defend himself and the group in denial, they had not noticed Lena approaching their table.
~Lena~
I rushed to my locker to dump whatever I didn't need for my next classes. Then into the bathroom to make sure I didn't look crazy. I wanted to make a good first impression on Gareth's friends. It’d be nice to have real people to hang out with who are not snobby rich fakers.
When I got to the cafeteria I scanned the room to find Gareth while going through the line to just get some fruit. Surprised that they had peaches I grabbed two then spotted Gareth after I paid.
As I was heading to the table, a blonde cheerleader I met earlier stopped me. I think her name was Chrissy.
“Hey, would you like to sit with me and the girls?” she smiled sweetly.
“Oh thanks but I've got a seat already.” offering her a smile back. I didn't want to hurt her feelings because she seemed like the only genuine popular girl I'd met.
“Oh, that's okay! Maybe next time.” she then walked away to her table.
I started walking again and as I approached the table it seemed like they were arguing about something. Before you could catch what was going on they all fell quiet when you stood in front of their table. Looking at the boy standing at the opposite side of the table.
~3rd Person~
Eddie was not buying it for one second as soon as the sentence left Gareth's mouth. A new girl sitting with them? The freaks of Hawkins High? Yeah right. But alas Eddie believed that Gareth was committed to the bit til he had enough. He stood from his chair and slammed his hands on the table.
“For fucks sake! Why would she…”
He never finished his sentence. Once he saw her walking and stop right in front of his table he was speechless. No one ever makes Eddie Munson speechless.
The boys turned to see why he shut up and were equally astonished, besides Gareth of course. He wore a smug smile, crossing his arms and leaning back into his chair.
“Uh hi. Gareth said I could sit with you guys.”
Silence from the whole table. They just couldn't believe that Gareth was telling the truth. With no response, she tried again.
~Lena~
“Is that okay?” I asked as I looked at the boy directly across from me. He seemed like the leader of the pack so I awaited his response. But nothing. They all just stared at me like they had never seen a girl before. I don't know if I should be flattered or concerned. Before I could feel embarrassed and think this was a bad idea, Gareth spoke up.
“Here, you can sit next to me.” He scooted the chair next to him out for me to sit.
I sat down hesitantly, eyeing everyone as they still didn't speak. Lingering a little longer on the curly long-haired boy. He was cute no doubt. I toss that thought immediately away. Friends Lena. You're making friends. It was too soon to be having a crush on someone.
“Don't mind them. They didn't believe me when I said you were sitting with us.”
Gareth went around the table, introducing everyone to me. Next to him was Jeff. Across from me was Mike, and to his right was Dustin and Doug. Lastly, at the head of the table was Eddie. “Guys, this is Lena.”
I gave them all a smile and waved. Also noticed that they all wore the same shirt. I made a mental note to ask about it.
Dustin seemed to be the first of the group to come to his senses. “So, where are you from?”
“Harrison. It's about a half hour outside of Cincinnati.”
“What made you come to Hawkins?” Mike asked with a confused face.
“Uh, well my dad overlooks construction jobs. The company he works for has a new location. So he decided to move closer since he’ll be running that place.”
Everyone seemed to become more comfortable as I answered their questions. Seemingly deciding that I wasn't a threat. As I talked I subconsciously worked on opening my peach. It was what I always did to them. Slightly crack open the top, and run my finger all the way around. Now and then lick my finger to stop the juice from running down my hand then twist until it splits in half.  Once opened I took a bite and noticed they all were staring again.
“What?” I said wiping the corner of my mouth.
“How in the hell did you just do that?” Jeff asked.
I couldn't help but giggle. “It’s my party trick.” I took another bite.
~3rd Person~
“Is that okay?”
The way she looked at Eddie stirred something inside of him. Genuinely asking for permission. His permission to sit with them. He was so dumbfounded to speak. Just taking her in. From her pretty brown eyes to the Queen t-shirt and jeans she wore that hugged her curves in all the right places to her ring-adorned hands holding peaches. She looked godsent. Well, at least that's what Eddie was thinking. He got a weird feeling as he saw you take the seat next to Gareth. Jealousy? What? No way he was already crushing on the new girl?! He barely even spoke a word to her, just listened to her answer any questions the guys had.
He watched her as she absentmindedly moved her fingers through the peach. His mind started creating naughty thoughts he couldn't shake away. The way she licked her fingers, completely oblivious to what she was doing to him. The juice of the peach slipped out the corner of her mouth as she took a bite. All he wanted to do was lick it off her. Oh, how he was already done for.
Jeff was the first to express his bewilderedness. Man, hearing her giggle? Eddie wanted to bottle it up and keep it forever.
“It’s how I've always eaten peaches. They're my favorite,” she says like it is the most obvious answer in the world. Before anyone could ask about the side with the pit, she does the same trick to split it again in half and then pop the clean pit out. She holds out a slice offering it up to anyone. Before Eddie could act, Dustin took the offering.
“Well in that case should we be calling you Peaches then?” Gareth joked.
She pondered the thought and then shrugged with a smile. “I wouldn't mind that.” Right at that moment, Hellfire as a collective decided that from now on they would only call her Peaches.

He never deserved you
This is a kind of a long fic but I've been gone so long I wanted to give a long and more detailed story lol. I can either do a part two or if anyone has any suggestions, my inbox is open!
Summary: For a couple of months, you had been dating Jason carver until you realized what a douche he was. You never realized ending things with him would help you fall for another. Someone you didn't expect.
Angst, cussing, mentions of smoking
🖤🖤
The 6 AM alarm that suddenly went off, blaring in your eyes jolted you out of your sleep reminding you that it was time to get ready for yet another day of school. You really needed to find a different alarm. Waking up terrified was not the best way to start your day but on the bright side, at least it woke you up. You groaned slightly and rubbed your eyes trying to get the sleep out of them before you turned on the lamp on your nightstand. You squinted at the bright light that filled the room as your eyes tried to adjust from the pitch black they were just in.
Removing the covers off your body, you stood up and grabbed the clothes that you placed on your desk chair the night before, thankful you didn’t have to dig through your drawers to find something. You yawned as you walked into the bathroom that connected to your bedroom and began to get ready.
The outfit was simple. Skinny jeans and a black sweater that fell off one side of your shoulder because of it being just a size bigger than what you’d normally wear. Or maybe it was just like that. Who knows? After placing your hair into a messy bun, you headed downstairs and was grateful when you saw your mom had already brewed some coffee and made you a cup. “Oh thank you. I’m so exhausted today.” Having enough time before you had to leave, you sat down in the kitchen chair across from your mom who was reading the daily paper.
She looked up and set the paper down, leaning her head on her hand. “You’re welcome. Did you not sleep?” You sipped on it and squinted your eyes in concentration. “No I did. I don’t know. Just one of those days I guess.” She nodded and cleared her throat, leaning back in her chair. “Feel that. Well hopefully that coffee will get you through the day. You’re almost done with junior year. Just a couple of more weeks to go. I want you to focus okay?”
You nodded and gave a quick smile. “I will I promise. Finals are the last week of school. I’ve been studying like crazy trying to prepare. I can’t wait for summer.” You rubbed the side of your head and sighed before standing up and washing the mug out then placing it in the sink. “I know the feeling. Just- please don’t let him distract you. Jason, I mean. Boys are not worth more than your future.”
You turned around and leaned on the counter and gave your mom a far off look. “I know that. And I know how you feel about Jason and before you saying anything-“ her mom had opened her mouth to say object. “I know. I’m going to end it soon with him. He’s being an ass lately and hasn’t been treating me right anyways.” She scrunched her eyes brows. “He isn’t hurting you is he? Cause I will-“
“No no! Of course not. I just- he just says things that make me feel unimportant and distant from everyone. I just don’t wanna deal with it. After him, I’m hoping to stay away from boys for a bit.” Your mom smiled. “Good. You deserve better and thank god you’re getting rid of him. I couldn’t stand him.” You laughed and pushed off the counter. “Oh I’m aware. Alright I gotta go. I don’t want to be late. I love you.” You grabbed your car keys from the bowl in the living room and your backpack from the coat hanger and headed out the door as she was saying it back.
You got into your car and started the engine, shivering at the slight cold that nipped at your body. It had been true though. Jason had been treating you like crap. Telling you to be quiet when you said something or dropping your hand when he was around Chrissy which really pissed you off. You knew it wasn’t Chrissy’s fault but it still got under your skin that he didn’t even try to be subtle that he had feelings for another girl. That was the main reason why you were ending it at school today.
You knew it wasn’t the best thing to do but being in a public space made you more comfortable than if you were alone. It was known he had anger issues and you truly didn’t want to risk it.
As you drove off down the rode to Hawkins high, a million thoughts hit your brain. How would you end it? Where would you do it? Empty classroom? No that’s stupid. Maybe the lunchroom? You didn’t want to embarrass him. That’s not who you were. By the lockers would be good. People were around but no one would be paying attention. Not really. More thoughts invaded your brain pulling you from the Jason subject.
You still needed to study for the history exam and you hadn’t even started the science study guide. There was so much going on and you had no idea how you were managing it all. You took a deep breath to calm down and reminded yourself to take it one day at a time. As soon as Jason was out of your life, it was one less thing to worry about and gave you more of an opportunity to focus on exams. It would be a good thing.
You pulled into the parking lot and parked in a random spot. There weren’t many cars that took up the lot seeing as most people walked from the town being so small. The only cars were a few students and the faculty.
You turned your engine off and grabbed your backpack as you made your way into school, nervous about how the day would go. Walking to your locker, you sighed of relief as you noticed Jason wasn’t there yet giving you time to mentally prepare. You opened your locker and put in what you didn’t need at the moment and then shut it. As soon as the latch connected, your friend Tara came up to you. “Hey do you have the notes for English? I’m way behind.” You chuckled and shook your head not even surprised. Tara wasn’t really one to pay attention so she was always asking for notes but she was your friend and she meant well so you typically didn’t mind. “Yeah I do. Hold on.” You opened the English folder that you had in your hand and pulled out a couple of papers with notes scattered all over. “Don’t lose these please.” Tara took them gently and smiled. “I won’t. I promise. Thank you . I owe you one, see you later.”
A couple minutes after she walked away, you felt hands wrap around your waist. “Hey babe.” Jason. You felt immediate annoyance and anxiousness. “Hey Jason.” You turned around and backed away from his embrace. He smiled and leaned down to kiss you but you turned your head so his lips made contact with your cheek instead. He furrowed his eyebrows and pulled his head away. “What was that?” You shoved your hands into your sweater and cleared your throat. “We need to talk…” He raised his eyebrows and chuckled. “Okay? About what? Should we go somewhere private?” You shook your head trying to prepare how you were going to say this. “This isn’t working out. I think we need to break up.” The words flew out before you lost the nerve to speak them. Your hand almost flew to your mouth as if you couldn’t believed you had said it but you forced them to stay in your pockets.
“Uhh I really hope you’re just fucking with me.” He laughed humorlessly. You cleared your throat and looked around to make sure no one was paying attention. They weren’t. “No I’m being serious. I’m tired of the way you treat me and it’s clear you like Chrissy so consider it an out. It’s over.” You looked up at him to try to grasp what he was feeling. He stood there, mouth slightly open and eyebrows scrunched as if she had just told him the most absurd thing. You thought for a second he might actually be hurt and feeling something but no he burst out laughing and pointed at you. “You’re breaking up with me? No babe I’m breaking up with you.” You rolled your eyes and took your hands out of your pockets to fix the strays of your hair. “Honestly if that’s what you want to tell people, it genuinely doesn’t matter to me. As long as I’m away from you.” You began to walk away when he grabbed your wrist tightly and yanked you back so you were face to face. Did no one see that?
“Ow Jason let go.” He sneered at you keeping the grip on your wrist. “You think you’re cute but honey I could have anyone in this school I wanted. The amount of girls I have lined up…you mean nothing to me. All I wanted was the sex and you couldn’t even give me that you fucking tease. So good I’m glad we’re over. Good look finding anyone to be with you.”Your eyes prickled with tears but you wouldn’t give him the satisfaction of crying. “Let me go Jason. You’re hurting me.” He pinned you against the locker and gripped your face with his other hand. As soon as he did, he was thrown off by someone and you immediately backed away from Jason.
“I could have sworn she told you to let her go, carver. Laying your hands on women. Not a good thing to do around me.” You looked up at the tall figure and it was none other than Eddie Munson. The one everyone called the freak of Hawkins high. You had only talked to him a couple of times in class but he was a pretty nice guy. Just struggled a bit to keep up like Tara or so people whispered. Rumors over him being held back spread like wildfire.
You were shocked he was defending you considering he really didn’t know you. You instinctively got behind him and he gave you a side glance, not moving. “You can mind your own business freak. We were just having a little moment. No one was hurting anyone so back off.”
Eddie chuckled and shook his head, his curls moving around. “Not what I saw but consider it a warning. For her sake. But next time, I won’t be so nice.” Jason laughed and put his hands up shaking them. “Oh wow I’m so scared. Fuck off Munson. Next time I won’t be so nice. You and that little bitch better watch your backs.” He stormed off, leaving you two in the hallway and a couple of people were staring and murmuring about the commotion. Of course now they notice once Eddie is invovled.
Eddie turned around and looked down at you. Rubbing your wrist, you looked up at him and looked into his eyes. You never noticed how pretty his eyes were. Or just how pretty he was. You and Eddie talked occasinoally in class but you never really became clos mainly because jason forbade it. “Are you okay?” He asked which pulled you from whatever trance you were just in.
You blinked a couple of times and looked around the hallway before meeting his eyes again, the eyes that were still focused on you. “I’m okay. I figured he would have had a reaction like that. Why-why did you help me? We barely know each other." Maybe it was a rude question to ask but really, why would he have all people help you? “I know a lot more about you than you would think. Why are you asking? It can’t be hard to believe that I would help you. Especially from someone like Jason.” He looked a little hurt but the look on his face went away as fast as it had come.
His words struck you in a way you couldn’t comprehend. What did he mean he knew about you? I mean yeah you’ve partnered up to do projects but it never turned into a friendship. Conversations didn’t happen often between you two. What could he possibly know. “No no. I’m sorry. That was rude of me. Forget I asked. Thank you for defending me.” Being flustered around Eddie Munson was definitely not on your list of things to expect for the year. “No problem sweetheart. If he bothers you again, don’t be afraid to tell me. You know where to find me.” He winked and walked off giving you no chance to respond. Did he mean at the hellfire club? Or the lunchroom? Or the several classes you shared? You let out a sharp breath and blinked a couple of times trying to make sense of everything when the loud shrilling bell sounded. “Crap I’m late. Munson.” You muttered and ran off towards your first class of the day.
🖤🖤
After school, you were grabbing your things from your locker when tara came up next to you and shut the locker causing you to jump and let out a gasp. "what the hell tara? I'm glad my hand wasn't still there." She gave a slight eyeroll and then a pointed look. "I made sure you were done. You did not tell me that you were breaking up with Jason. I would have thrown a goddamn party. And what the hell was that with eddie munson today? I have literally never seen you have a full conversation with him outside of a classroom? What's the tea miss girl because you nelgected to fill me in at all and-" You cut her off mid rant and laughed slightly, one at the jab at jason and two at the enthusiasm of wanting to know everything all the time.
"I didn't tell you about Jason because I had literally been trying to work up courage all week to end it and I didn't want to lose the confidence to do it. As for Eddie, Jason was being kind of aggresive and he defended me..." Tara's mouth dropped as she leaned against the lockers. "The freak of hawkins high defened a popular kid? Whaaaa? He must like you." She giggled and rubbed her hands together. You rolled your eyes and started walking down the hallway towards the exit, tara hot on your heels. "First, I am hardly popular. More by assoication and that's gone for sure. Second, don't call him that. He's actually really....sweet and he definitely doesn't like me." You pushed open one side of the double doors and walked out into the parking lot heading to your car. "Sweet? I'm sorry. Where exactly did your sense go? This is the guy who stands on top of tables and yells at people who look at him the wrong way."
You turned to face her as soon as you reached the drivers side of your car. "No he yells at Jason. Big difference. I just think he's misunderstood, that's all. So what? He defened me from my jerk ex boyfriend. I doubt we'll ever talk again. He was just being a decent person." Tara scoffed and crossed her arms. "So he didn't say anything else after he defended you? It just happened and what? He walked away?"
You weren't sure if you should tell her the other part just because you knew how it sounded and Tara would totally take it a whole different way but you did want another opinion. "I thanked him and he told me that I knew where to find him if Jason ever messed with me..." You avoided eye contact after the words came out and she squealed, grabbing your arm. And there it is and here we go. "He is so into you. Look he may not be someone I would date and he may be weird as fuck but he's hot as shit. I would support you. Much better than carver." She made a throw up motion. "Tara, I extremely doubt he is into me. We barely talk outside of class like you said. Where would he have had time to gain a crush on me?" Tara shrugged and went to say something when her attention got diverted to something across the parking lot. "Can we talk later? Josh is here. Love you bye." Before you even had the chance to respond, she was halfway across the parking lot to catch up with her boyfriend. Typical Tara.
As you were unlocking your car, you felt eyes on you and looked around to see if it is maybe just paranoia from the events this morning when you caught Eddie leaning against his own car smoking a ciggirate, glancing at you. You made eye contact with him for a couple of seconds before he slightly smirked, put out his cig on the ground using his boot to snuff it and drive off in his car. Flustered, you got in your own car and drove home trying to process the days events.
Why had he smirked at you? Was he judging or had Tara been right about him having feelings for you? But it didn't make sense because in order to like someone, you would have to know them. You knew nothing about eddie munson and he definitely knew nothing about you, or did he? You let out a heavy sigh and forced yourself to focus on the road.
As soon as you got home, you went straight to your room and started studying. You had already gotten rid of one boy, you certainly didn't need to think about another, especially from one interaction. What is wrong with you? Pulling out all of your notebooks, you were determined to distract your mind when you notcied your english notes weren't returned. Tara. You shook your head and gave a soft chuckle as you opened your history notes and started to go through them. History was your favorite subject so it wasn't difficult for you to remember lessons from it. You went through pretty fast and studied half of your science notes as well before you crashed from exhasution. Thoughts of school, eddie, and jason fled from your brain as sleep took over your body.
Thankfully your alarm was set to wake you up at the same time everyday on weekdays because you slept the rest of the day and through the night until it was time for school again. When you were fully awake, you turned off the alarm and noticed the lights had been turned off and a blanket was pulled over you seeing as you were on top of your comforter. Your mom must have come in late last night to check on you.
Your morning routine stayed the same and soon enough, you were back at school and in your first class. Anxiousness filled your body as you realized you would more than likely have to see Jason today. After his outburtst yesterday, you weren't sure if he would leave you alone or not. You could take Eddie up on his offer but the truth was you didn't need protection or help. You could handle yourself and if anything, it would be tara beating his ass.
Your name being called from the roster pulled you from your thoughts and you muttered a 'here'. First class was homeroom so it was more like a free period. Most teachers let you do whatever you wanted in homeroom as long as you didn't get too loud. But today the teacher wanted you to get in pairs to discuss finals and assignments so you were on the right track.
You suddenly remembered eddie was in this class and subtly turned your head to see if he was there and sure enough he was in the same seat. Before yesterday you typically wouldn't have cared where he was considering he was just like any other student but after what he did for you, it was like you wanted to know more about him. His eyes met yours and raised his eyebrows up. "Wanna be partners?" You flushed and stammered a bit before clearing your throat. "Uh yeah sure." You hadn't expected that, not this early and soon. But you would humor it. What's the worst that could happen? Just as you were about to move, he got up and sat in the chair next to you. He had nothing with him but a notebook and a pencil. You were slightly confsued as to where he kept all of his work but that wasn't really important right now.
Before talk about finals and school, you had something else you wanted to discuss with him. "I wanted to thank you again for yesterday. I don't know if you were the only one to notice but you were the only person who did something." He breathed out heavily but not out of annoyance or stress, it was more like he was thinking about what you said and the events that took place just yesterday morning. "It was really no problem. Just did what I knew was right."
For some reason, that comment upset you in a way. Almost as if what had happened wasn't important or just simply not enough to talk about. But maybe he just didn't know what to say so you changed the subject. "I did have a question though. What did you mean when you said you knew more about me than I thought you did?"m The question had been presenting itself in your brain since yesterday. He half smiled and cleared his throat, tapping his pencil on the desk. ""It means that I watch you or observe, yeah that's less creepy." The admittance shocked you. What was so interesting about you? "Word flies fast in this god forskaen school. Just so happens people talk good about you and we've talked a handful of times. Let's just say Carver never desevred you." You felt unsure on how to take that comment in considering it had been said with such respect and genuineness but also not something you expected from the "bad boy".
"Thank you. That means a lot." You decided to go with the simple but grateful response and tried to move on beofore the awkwardness set in. "Um, so did you want to compare notes ? I'm so stressed for the finals." He gave you a look you couldn't comprhend that laid between awe and humor. "You really are a good girl aren't you?" You blinked a couple of times trying to understand whre he was going with that question. "I'm not sure what you mean. I just want to pass. Don't you?" He sighed and leaned his head onto his hand. "Well of course but I'm too far behind. The finals would let me pass though if I got just a good enough grade but I doubt it." So the rumors were true. He really didn't do school work that often but why? There was another question that had always kept you curious. "Did you get held back?" The words left your lips before you could fully process it. Your hand instinctively went over your abrasive mouth. "I'm so sorry. I have no idea why I just said that." He chuckled and shrugged, leaning forward. "it's not a secret sweetheart. Yes I did. No reason to hide it. Is that a problem?"
You shook your head, mouth parting slightly before speaking. "No no! Of course not. It's honestly none of my business. Look, I have notes for every class to help me study for the finals. Did you maybe want me to help you study for the next couple of weeks so you have a chance to pass?" He stared at you, a puzzled look crossing his face. "you would do that? Won't your reputation be ruined?" The comment felt like a slap to the face and went a whole different direction from the conversation that was just had, the dissappointment flooding your body. "I don't have a reputation and even if I did, that went over a cliff the moment I ended it with my mentally abusive boyfriend, okay? If you don't want my help, you can just say that." The bell rung at that moment which was perfect timing to make an exit. You gathered your things and got up quickly, trying to leave the classroom before anything else could be said. Maybe Eddie Munson was just like people said after all. What had you said or done to provoke a response like that?
As you reached the doorway, you felt a hand wrap around your wrist causing you to look back. "wait. I'm sorry. That was me being a dick. I-" You pulled your wrist away. "You think?" He pulled you off to the side and looked down at you. "It came off the wrong way. I didn't mean it like that. I just mean that you're a nice girl and people like you and well people don't like me" You sighed and looked at the ground for a couple of seconds before looking him in the eye. "I can make my own decisions and hang out with or help whoever I want. If people had a problem with that, not my issue." He pursed his lips and a look between embarrasment and awkwardness covered his features. "You're right. I shouldn't have said it and I'm sorry. If it's any consolation, I would like your help."
He seemed like he was being sincere and giving him a second chance was something a lot of people neglected to do. Being treated the way he is would cause you to build a wall and that was something you could understand. "Okay fine. But say anything like that again, you can forget it." He gave a wry smile and nodded once. "Duly noted. So where should we meet? Your place?" You shook your head quickly. "No. My mom will question the hell out of you and I would rather not have to endure an iterrogation myself. Either a public place or your place?" You questioned, curiousity peeking at the edges indicating you were wanting to know where he lived.
“I live in a trailer park so not sure if you would want to be somewhere like that.” Confusion took over your features as you took in his words. Was he embarrassed about where he lived? “I’m not one to care or judge where people live? I don’t mind coming to yours.” He blinked and pulled his head back, surprised that you had no hesitation about it. “Oh okay. Well I guess you can come around, say 5?” You nodded and smiled with your lips. “Sounds good. I gotta get to class. Bye Eddie.” You left the room before he could respond and walked quickly to your next class trying to understand how everything was changing around you in just a day.
🖤🖤
The rest of the day went by pretty fast and the classrooms you shared with Eddie were spent talking about a bunch of random things. He was really easy to have a conversation with and it kept your attention. Plus he also happened to be funny and quick with his responses. It was a completely different story than the one people had been telling and it was refreshing to have someone listen to you, really listen to you.
After class, Eddie walked you to your car and stood with you for a couple of minutes just talking. Tara came up, eyes slightly widened as if she was trying to comprehend something. Eddie shifted uncomfortably and gave her a tight lipped smile. “I guess I’ll see you later?” You cursed yourself knowing she was going to question everything as soon as he walked away. “Yeah see you later.” No point in trying to hide it.
As soon as he left ear shot, Tara hit your arm. “Not gonna talk again huh? And see you later? What in the hell does that mean?” You deadpanned and crossed your arms. “You never gave my notes back.” She squinted her eyes in annoyance and grab the notes out of her backpack and handed them to you. “Don’t change the subject. Tell me everything.”
So you did. Every detail was shared including the study partner part and the entire time, Tara was squealing and dropping her jaw at the most mundane information. That’s who she was though. Excited about life and you couldn’t help but love her for it. “Okay that’s a lot to take in. I’m not against it though.” You adjusted your backpack on your shoulder and shifted to your other foot. “I’m so glad I have your approval.” She scoffed and waved her hand in the air, a dismissal. “You know what I mean. I’m glad you’re getting back out there though. Just didn’t expect it to be so soon.”
“Wow. Okay yeah no. Definitely not getting back out there. I’m just helping him study. I am not ready for another relationship.” You admitted. "I am literally just trying to help him get through the rest of the year." She groaned very dramatically and pretended to look intersted in her nails. "Yeah okay. We will just pretend that he doesn't have a massive crush on you and that I don't see you making eyes at him." You made strangly hands at her and made a sound through gritted teeth which got you a concerned look from people around you that were also lingering in the parking lot. "He doesn't have a crush on me and I don't make eyes at him. Yes he's attractive but I just got out of a very toxic relationship and I need to focus on school. Hence why I am helping him focus on school. If something happens to come from it, then it happens. Until then, he is my study partner and...a friend." The conversation didn't last much longer as both of you had to get home. It was getting close to 4 and you needed to be over eddie's place at 5.
Once you got home, you changed into some shorts and a V neck and the time flew by and soon enough you were back in your car headining over to the trailer park. You knew where it was considering Hawkins was a small town and you just so happened to pass it every once in a while. It took about 10 minutes to get there and soon enough, you parked and got out of the car looking around. Nervousness hit you as you saw a couple people outside staring at you, some giving you dirty looks. People like you who had it better than most weren't really welcome around this part of town.
You didn't blame them knowing how people treated the lower class but it still didn't settle the anxiousness creeping up. One guy jumped up and walked over to you, footsteps heavy and a beer bottle in his hand. "What's a pretty little thing like you doing around here? Looking for some trouble?" Your eyes widened and you took a small step back. "N-No of course not. My friend Eddie-" His sharp laugh cut you off. "Eddie Munson? Nah you better go on before trouble finds you." He closed in on you again when you saw Eddie running up and grabbing the mans shoulder. "Dan, it's okay. I invited her here. You okay?" He grabbed your hand and pulled you towards him, walking you away from the scene. "Sorry about him. He-he means well. Most people who come here to see me usually start shit."
Although you were still a little shaken up, you nodded and let him lead you into his trailer. "it's okay. I understand. He has a right to be catious." You looked around his place and it was actually really nice in here. Of course it was small but it was cozy and cleaned up well. You noticed the broom and dustpan out and the tied up trash bag and realized he must have been cleaning before you got here. How sweet.
He noticed you looking around and shifted on his feet uncomfortably not knowing what you were thinking. "Well thank you for understanding. It's not...the easiest living around these parts but it does its best. Sorry about the clutter and the smallness of it." He chuckled awkwardly while he fidgeted with one of his rings. "Don't apologize. I like it in here." You shrugged off your backpack and sat down on the couch and took in everything around you. He only had a couple of picutre frames up with him and what looked like his dad or maybe uncle? There were a couple of coasters scattered around and a couple of random objects. A dice, an empty glass, and a notebook. You felt the cushions shift and you looked over to see that he had sat next to you. "Thanks." He smiled softly. You nodded and pulled your backpack into your lap, digging some contents out. "Of course. Um I was thinking we could start with math since it's the hardest." He agreed and the studying started. It was rough at first because he was a lot further behind than you thought but he started to get the hang of it after about an hour of explaining different things. Between snack breaks and time outs, it was going pretty smoothly and he caught on really fast. You had him do a couple of test questions and when he got all but one right, you smiled and high fived him. "I bet that if we do it like this for the other subjects, you'll get a passing grade!"
Eddie's face lit up and he let out a gasp of air that sounded like relief. "I literally cannot thank you enough. I know we still have a ton to do and I know it's taking time away from you but I don't know if i even would have tried if you didn't offer." You gathered all of your things back into your backpack and zipped it up giving a soft smile. "It's really no problem. You helped me so I am returning the favour. I do have to get home though but I'm pretty much free all the time after school so we can do this whenever." He stood up with you and walked you to your car which you appreiacted greatly. "Be safe getting home." He opened your drivers door and shut it after you got in and said, "I will. Thank you." You drove home and thought about how tonight was the first night in a long time that you felt fully free and happy. The smiled that took over your face remained the rest of the car ride home.
🖤🖤
For the next couple of weeks, you helped Eddie study almost everyday after school until you were positive he was confident in all of the subjects. There were bumps in the road and frustrations in the air but you were patient with him and he was respectful towards you. After the first week and a half of doing this, you started feeling nervous around him which wasn’t something you were used to. He was just so nice and funny and definitely wasn’t bad to look at. You were a little scared of catching feelings considering everything that happened with Jason and also because it hadn’t been that long since the relationship was over. You had talked to Tara about it and for the first time, she actually gave advice that made sense.
She had said “how you feel about someone isn’t something you can control. There’s no time limits or expectations on how soon you can fall for someone. It just happens. I wouldn’t stress about it. You guys are becoming really good friends and if something happens, then it happens. Don’t force it but don’t push it away.”
It helped you think a lot on the situation and she was right. How you were starting to feel about Eddie wasn’t something you could control. Spending time with him and having real conversations had been what set the feelings off in the first place. You were skeptical about if he had feelings for you or not. The way he looked at you and the way he brushed you hair behind your ears. The way he defended you against Jason anytime he tried to make a comment.
It was Sunday and finals started tomorrow. You wanted to help Eddie go over everything one more time to make sure he was prepared. And maybe because you just wanted to see him. You had shown up at his trailed, unannounced. You hoped he wouldn’t be busy or upset but when you knocked and the door opened, he stood there with that beautiful smile on his face. “What are you doing here?” He stepped aside as you walked through the door. “I was wondering if you wanted to go over everything really quick one more time. Sorry I showed up with no warning. I guess I could have called your landline.” He shut the door and ran a hand through his hair. “Oh no it's okay. You're welcome here anytime. You know that. And I would actually really appreciate going over it one more time. My nerves are running high for tomorrow but I think I’ll pass.” You smiled and shrugged your jacket off, laying it across the back of his couch. “I know you will. You’re smarter than you give yourself credit for, Eddie Munson.”
He walked over and hovered over you, causing your stomach to flip. “Well you’re more thoughtful than you give yourself credit for. And also smarter.” He chuckled. You grinned and shoved his shoulder. “Oh hush.” Your cheeks turned slightly red and you watched as the smirk grew on his face. He sat down on the couch and his eyes followed you as you took a seat next to him. "I stayed up late the past few nights to make these flashcards so I'm really hoping they work." You chuckled and bit your lip. He smiled and cleared his throat, staring right at you. You tried to focus on the flashcards and the words written on them so you didn't stutter over your words.
You began using the flashcards and you had to admit, they were helping you too. It was actually really fun to go through them and it was def because you were doing it with eddie. It went back and fourth with one person asking the question and the other answering. For some unknown reason, both of you were cracking up at this ridiculousness of it all. You were answering most of them right and when you finally got one wrong, Eddie stood up and pointed. "Ha! You did not get that right!" You gasped and stood up alongside him and grabbed the card from his hand. "What? No way." You looked at the answer and pursed your lips. "I did in fact get that one wrong." He laughed and you flung the card at him. He scoffed and picked it up. "Sore loser."
"mmmm. Pretty sure I got more right than-" Your sentence got cut off as your scream replaced it when eddie suddenly picked you up and flung you over his shoulder. "what was that?" You hit his back and laughed. "Put me down right now!" He walked over to the couch and gently tossed your onto the cushions. You giggled and breathed out, the air blowing some of your hair away from your face. He stood above you, looking down. His smile faded slowly, the look on his face indicating he was deep in thought. "You okay?" You sat up pulling your knees to your chest to give him room to sit which he did. "yeah. I just uh- he never deserved you, you know?" Your lips parted and you shifted on the couch to where you were sitting directly next to him. "Who?" You knew who he was talking about but you wanted to hear him say it. "Jason. He never deserved anything about you and he's an idiot for not seeing the amazing girl that you are."
"That means a lot. Thank you but where is all this coming from?" He looked down at his rings and played with them for a second then let out a small laugh. He looked back up at you and shook his head. "Fuck it." He grabbed your face with both hands and kissed you. You were taken aback for a second but then reality set in and you kissed him back, making a sound of content. He carressed your cheeks with his thumbs and your hands went into his curls. After about a minute, you both pulled back to get some air. "Wow. That was not what I was expecting." Your fingers grazed over your lips still feeling his own against yours. "If you couldn't tell from that, I really like you. Not just because of all the help you've given me but just getting to know you has been incredible."
You raised your eyebrows. "And here I thought you knew so much about me from observations." He rolled his eyes and grinned. "You know what i mean, you little shit." You giggled and leaned into him causing him to lean back into the couch, your head on his chest. "I just mean the real you. Not the one from the narratives from other people. But I've always had a small crush on you so..." You looked up at him and your mouth dropped. "Oh my god. Tara was right. You were into me."
He had his arm draped over your shoulder, fingers barely touching your skin, a tingly feeling going down your arm. "Yeah yeah. Tara is also an observationist." A small smile was on his face. "Well I was stupid for not truly noticing you." He scrunched his eyebrows and licked his lips. "Nah. Jason had you wrapped around his finger. He was a controlling dick." You pulled your face up and kissed him softly. "None of that was real. That's clear to me now. I don't even think I had real feelings for him. I just thought I did because everyone wanted him and he went after me. You, however, I do have real feelings for."
"Well good because he's gonna be so livid." He laughed which caused you to laugh. "Oh fucking well. According to you, he lost a great girl." He played with your hair and made a sound of agreement. "A very great girl."
The rest of the night was spent just talking and laughing until it got dark and you had to head home for dinner. He had just walked you out to your car and you were standing next to the open drivers door. "I had a great time tonight. We got a lot done and killed two birds with one stone." He grinned and grabbed your wrist, this time you didn't pull away, and pulled you close to him before kissing you, even better than the first one. "Goodnight, sweetheart." You bit your lip and slid into the drivers seat. "Goodnight, Eddie." He shut your door and you drove off, seretonin filling your brain. You had fallen for a boy, the 'freak' of hawkins high. Your mom would flip but it was all worth it and you don't regret one single thing.
ahhhhhh. I had so much trouble writing an ending for this story lol. I have so many other ideas for a part two if that's something anyone would want! I am so sorry I have been gone for so long, I am trying to get back into writing and this is a start!

i wholeheartedly believe the only person who would be able to convince steve to play dnd is the one and only, lucas sinclair.
i also think they’d share a character for steve’s first game.
lucas is the only kid who’s into steve’s big thing, sports. of course he’d give dnd a shot if his mini me asks him to.
oh my god lucas is steve’s mini-

Boo?
Tumblr media
Pairing: Eddie x Fem! Reader
Summary: Sudden murders start to happen all over the small town Hawkins, the killer hasn't been caught and the more time that passes by, more murders happen. Who could have possibly done such a horrible crime such as this?
Warnings: Murder, mentions of blood, cussing, stalker like shit, mentions of stabbing, gore, this is based off the script of scream credit to Kevin Williamson for writing such a masterpiece. I did change a some stuff so please don’t go off like “ohhh that’s not what happened” yeah I know, that was on purpose.

*Ring ring ring*
"God who can be calling at this time?" Chrissy says to herself before walking into her dad's office and picking up the phone "Hello?"
"Hello?"
"yes?"
"Who is this?"
"Mm who are you trying to reach?"
"What number is this?"
"Well what number are you trying to reach?"
"i don't know"
"well i think you have the wrong number"
"do i?"
"It happens, take it easy" Chrissy says before hanging up, placing the phone down and walking away.
But then it rang again.
*ring ring ring*
"Hello?"
"I'm sorry i guess i dialed the wrong number.”
”So why did you dial it again?”
“To apologize I guess”
“You’re forgiven, bye now-“
“Wait, wait, don't hang up.”
"why shouldn't i?"
"Cause i wanna talk to you"
"They got 900 numbers for that. see ya"
"wait-"
Chrissy quickly hangs up the phone and walks to the kitchen, placing some Jiffy pop on the stove.
ring ring ring
'Jesus now the living room phone' Chrissy thinks to herself. She picked up the phone and raised it to her ear.
"Yes?"
"Oh come on sweetheart, why don't you wanna talk to me?"
"Because i don't know who you are" She says as she walks back into the kitchen where the popcorn starts to pop.
"What's the noise?"
"Just some popcorn i got going on my stove right now"
"hm, i can only enjoy popcorn when i'm at the movies"
"Well i'm about to watch a movie so.."
"Really? What movie?"
"The breakfast club, even though i've watched it more times than i can count, but i'd rather watch that rather than some scary movie or something"
"You don't like scary movies?"
"Not really, they give me nightmares"
"What's you're favorite movie?"
"um...Grease, i think i will have to say Grease"
"Is that one the Musical Romance one? With the blonde girl?"
"Yeah Sandy"
"SANDY! That's right, that's what her name was."
"Yeah i liked her"
"so...you gotta boyfriend?"
"No. Why? You wanna ask me out?"
"You know sweetheart, you never told me you're name"
"Why do you wanna know my name" Chrissy said as she walked back to the living room to place the Grease VHS in.
"Cause i wanna know who i'm looking at"
Chrissy's movement freezes "What did you just say?"
"I said i wanna know who i'm talking to"
"That's not what you said"
"What did you think i said?"
Chrissy quickly jogged up to her front door and clicked on her front porch lights on, she didn't spot a single thing so she turned them back off and walked back to the living room.
"Listen, i gotta go"
"wait- i thought we were gonna go out"
"I don't think so"
"Don't hang up on me"
"Gotta go"
"Don't-"
Chrissy quickly places the phone down and runs to all her doors and locks them. She walks back to the popcorn (which was starting to burn) she takes the popcorn off the stove and places it in the sink to cool off and-
ring ring ring
"Oh my gosh, yes?" Chrissy says, picking up the phone once again.
"I told you not hang up on me"
"What do you want from me?"
"To talk"
"Well dial someone else please"
She hung up the phone again but only for it ring again.
ring ring ring
"Listen-"
"NO! You listen to me you little bitch! If you hang up on me again i'll gut you like a fish, Understand?"
Silence consumes them. He has gotten her full attention.
"Is this some kind of joke?"
"more of a game really"
Chrissy's eyes the front door of her house. It's unlocked. 'I could have sworn i locked it' she thinks to herself. She wastes no time bolting it and locking it again.
She looks through the peephole to see if anyone is on the other side of the door, thankfully there is not a single soul.
Chrissy relaxes a bit, relieved.
"i'm two seconds away from calling the police"
"They'd never make it in time"
"What do you want from me?" Chrissy's eyes start to water, fear consumes her.
The person on the other line starts to laugh a little before saying "to see what you're insides look like"
Chrissy wastes no time hanging up and throwing the phone on a side table when-
ding
Her front door bell chimes
"Who's there?" She calls out
ding
Another chimes hits
"I said who's there?"
No answers. Fuck this. 'It's time for the police' Chrissy thinks to herself. She goes to pick up the portable phone once again, just as she picks it up...
ring ring ring
Chrissy almost drops it, losing her breath, starts to panic all the more.
She brings it to her ear with trembling hands, saying nothing...listening...waiting...
"You should never say "who's there?" It's a death wish"
"Look, enough is enough. You had your fun now you better leave or else"
"Or else what?"
Chrissy pauses before speaking up once again.
"My boyfriend will be here any second and he'll be pissed"
"I thought you didn't have a boyfriend"
She starts to let out sobs "I lied, i do have a boyfriend and he'll be here any moment and he is big and he plays basketball and he will beat the shit out of you"
"His name wouldn't be Jason, would it?"
Silence. Chrissy's knees start to buck and shake.
"How do you know his name?"
"Go to the back door and turn on the porch light again"
Chrissy is terrified, she has to force herself to move, walking back to the kitchen and to the glass doors. Her shaky hand finds the light switch, she hits it.
Sitting in a law chair in the middle of the backyard is a man with wide shoulders and a small head of dirty blonde hair, her boyfriend Jason. He is tied and gagged, he has been roughed up, but still breathing.
"Oh god" Chrissy says out loud, covering her mouth as another sob escapes her mouth. Her hand moves to unlock the door-
"I wouldn't do that if i were you"
Chrissy is beyond petrified.
"Where are you?"
"Guess"
Her eyes search the yard. Her eyes wandering over the bushes, trees, He could be hidden anywhere.
"Please don't hurt him"
"That all depends on you"
"Why are you doing this?" She cries out
"I want to play a game"
She sniffles a few times before responding "What kind of game?"
"Turn off the light"
Her hand goes to the switch, Steve tugs and pulls at his straps. his face sweating and full of tears.
His figure disappears in the darkness as she clicks the light off. Chrissy moves herself away from the glass doors and back to the living room, her body shaking in fear.
"Here is how we play. I ask a question, if you get it right, Steve lives, it's easy"
"Please..." She sobs and cries and she starts to crouch down, losing her balance to stand on two feet.
"It's an easy category, movie trivia, i'll even give you a warm up question"
"Don't do this, i can't..."
"Name the two main characters of grease"
"no" She sobs out
"Come on it's your favorite movie remember? The one with the guy and girl meet at the beach and fall in love?"
"No please i don't know"
"Yes you do, come on, Jason's counting on you"
Chrissy pauses for a second to catch her before answering "Sandy, Sandy and Danny"
"YES! Very good. Now for the real question, same category, who played Allison in The Breakfast Club?"
"Molly Ringwald!"
"I'm sorry but that's the wrong answer"
"No it's not, i've watched it more times than i can count"
"Then you should know Molly Ringwald plays Claire, not Allison, Allison was played by Ally Sheedy"
"Please...." Chrissy says, sobs continuing to escape her mouth and tears falling down her face, drenching her rosy pink cheeks.
"Lucky for you, there is a bonus round, but i'm afraid poor little Jason... is out"
This implication sends Chrissy running to the kitchen, she flips the porch lights on just to see Jason, eyes wide, still tied and stilling in the lawn chair, his stomach gaping open, a mass of blood and ripped flesh. His insides lay on the ground between his feet, steam rising.
A scream erupts from the bottom of her soul as Chrissy nearly passes out, her face pale and ghostly white.
"Final question, are you ready?"
She doesn't answer, a long maddening silence. Chrissy reaches and clicks off the porch light, making the body of Jason go away into the darkness "Leave me alone...please"
"answer the question and i will, what door am i at?"
"What?" Chrissy says, confused.
"There are two doors to your house, a front door and a back door. You answer correctly, you live"
Chrissy eyes both of the doors, almost studying them, trying to decide between the two "Don't make me...I can't...i won't"
"Your call"
Chrissy slowly makes her way to the kitchen counter, leaning over it and grabbing a long, sharp knife. Chrissy looks around her, she looks down the hall to the front door, then turns back to the kitchen glass door as it suddenly Shatters to bits, a lawn chair comes flying through it, exploding glass sprays everywhere. Chrissy quickly makes her way to her back door, slowly slipping through it, she peeks through the glass door to see a cloaked figure roaming around her house.
She turns her head to see a car heading towards the house, her parents.
She peeks back to the glass door just to see the cloaked figure now staring at her. They quickly punch through the glass door as if it was nothing. This incites Chrissy like fire, she bolts for it, running through her yard, not even sure where to go just knowing that she needed to run.
It didn't last long though as they eventually caught her, grabbing her and slashing her in the chest with a knife. Chrissy looks down to see her sweater start to blossom red. The knife rises again, the blade comes down but is blocked by the portable phone still in her hand. This gives her a chance to get up and bolt for it, she runs as fast as she can to her parents, who were approaching the front door of the house.
She opens her mouth to scream but no sound resonates.
Her father finds the front door afar, a puzzled look rises on his face, Chrissy right behind them with one arm stretched out. Her parents don't bother to look behind them as they enter their home.
"Chrissy?" her father yells out "Chrissy, honey where are you? Call the police"
"Help...me" Her mother hears her from the phone
"Oh god, i can hear her"
"Get in the car and drive down to the Mackenzie's" Her father says, handing her mother the keys to the car.
Her father moves through the house when a scream erupts from his wife's mouth, he rushes out the door to find his wife, on her knees, bent over, retching. His eyes move beyond to a tree in the front yard as he bares to witness to the single most horrifying sight he'll ever see.
That of his only daughter as she hangs from a big oak tree, strung up, very much dead, her stomach ripped open.

"Oh my god, do you believe this shit?" Jeff said, walking beside me.
"What happened?" i asked
"You don't know? Chrissy Cunningham and Jason Carver were killed last night"
"Uh yeah nice try, there is no way"
"Yes way, and not just like, Y/n. We are talking splatter movie killed-split open end to end, it's insane"
"Wait- Chrissy Cunningham? As in the queen of Hawkins High?"
"Yup, parents found her hanging from a tree, her insides on the outside"
"Do they know who did it?"
"Fucking clueless, they are interrogating the entire school. Teachers, students, staff, janitors"
"Hey there sweetheart" Eddie says, approaching me, placing a shoulder over me as we walk into school together "Crazy huh?"
"Are you kidding? Murder in the small innocent town that is Hawkins? Who would have thought"
"Yup, they are even bringing the feds into this, this is-"
"Wait- the feds?" Eddie asks, shock written on his face.
"I know right? This is like, insane, who would do such a thing?"
Tumblr media
“Remember in JAWS when they caught the wrong shark at first and Richard Dreyfuss cut it open to look for body parts and all they found was a licence plate and all this white milky goo.” Gareth said only for Jeff to lean over and sock Gareth in the arm.
“You heard Eddie, shut the fuck up”
“Whatever man” Gareth said before taking a swing of his chocolate milk that was sitting on his lunch tray.
“Hey Jeff, didn’t you have a crush on Chrissy, or was that Eddie?” Mike asked, joining the conversation.
“I mean yeah, we both did, but what does that have to do with anything?”
“I mean, I’m just saying Jeff, when you start falling for someone you start falling hard-“
“So what are you trying to say? That I killed her or something?” Jeff said, obviously offended by Mikes words
“It would certainly improve on you’re high school Q”
“Relax, Jeff was with me last night, I need his help building my newest lego set” Dustin said, backing up for Jeff.
“Oh, before or after he sliced and diced?” Mike questioned.
“Fuck you asshole, where were you last night Mike?” Jeff questioned Mike, pointing a finger at him.
“First off, put your finger down and second, I was helping my sister yesterday for her stupid newspaper so I was busy, I didn’t have time to murder someone, not like I would want to in the first place,, but if you don’t stop I will gut your ass in a second” Mike explained.
“Did you really put her liver in the mailbox? I heard they found her liver in the mailbox”
“Gareth, you goon-fuck, I’m eating here” I said, I didn’t really wanna think of stuff like that when I’m stuffing my face with food.
“Yeah Gareth, she is getting mad. I think you better liver alone” Eddie pitched in and joked, not funny.
Tumblr media
"So, tell us, what relationship did you and Miss Cunningham have?" Officer Callahan said, note pad in hand, Officer Daniels and Officer Powell's next to him.
This is stupid, i get it, someone died but why interrogate me? I'm just some loser in high school who very obviously doesn't like the snotty popular circle of peo-......no you know what....i see why they would want answers from me at least. Disliking the Queen of the popular kids and she ends up dead....yeah i see why.
"I didn't really have much of a relationship with Chrissy, it’s not like I hated her. I didn't talk to her much but she hung around all the popular kids and dated that dipshit Jason Carver, i disliked Jason more than Chrissy, like i said, i didn't talk to her much." I explained, shuffling a bit in the uncomfortable school chair that was attached to a wooden desk, sitting in an empty classroom.
"Did you guys ever clash on anything? Any arguments? With Miss Cunningham or Mr Carver?" Officer Daniels asked this time.
"I never fought with Chrissy as i never really talked to her like i said already. Me and Jason fought almost on a daily basis. He would be his prick self and taunt us"
"Us?" Officer Callahan questioned.
"Hellfire? Me, Eddie, Gareth, Dustin, you know...the freaks? Weirdos? The opposite of the popular's?" I said while pointing at my shirt, red devil and dice plastered on top of it.
"Is that the Dungeons and Dice club?"
"It's Dungeons and Dragons"
"Whatever, same thing, did you happen to know if Jason clashed with anyone else other than anyone in Hellfire?" Officer Powell asked, annoyed at my comeback towards Officer Callahan.
I shook my head no "How should i know? I tried to avoid the asshole as much as possible"
"Was there ever a time you wanted him to die? Any time you wanted him...gone?"
I thought for a second before answering since there was a few times.
Like the one time he grabbed me the wrong way while i was waiting for Eddie to be done with his little drug deal, he grabbed my ass and waist and started forcing himself on me, the smell of beer and weed bouncing off of him, i had pushed him off of me and ran back to Eddie as fast as i could.
Or like that one time he had pushed Dustin down the stairs and called him a toothless walrus, i had punched him in face and told him to eat shit, and yeah maybe i told him to go and die but i didn't think back then that he would actually end up getting murdered and end up dying 6 months later from that moment.
"I mean...i've thought about him suffering due to his actions but i never in a million years thought it would actually happen for real"
"And you don't know anyone who would do this? For real, not verbally?"
"No Officer, not at all"
Tumblr media
"Sorry, work ran late, i'm on my way" Nancy said from the other line.
Me and Nancy had gotten a bit close, her being the older sister of Mike after all and being of course from being one girl to another, we mostly understood each other for the most part.
She had invited me over for a sleepover, her mom offering to make a bunch of snacks and watch some movies together, but writing and work was always her main focus, no mater what she wouldn't budge to take her focus off whatever project she was focused on before anything else.
"Yeah sure, i will be here waiting"
"Great, by the way i wanna swing by Family Video and get something. I was thinking something with Tom Cruise in it" Oh yeah, she has a Tom Cruise obsession, she has a whole poster of him hanging up on her wall in her bedroom and everything.
"Whatever, just hurry" I said before placing the phone back in it's place and starting to walk away, until-
ring ring ring
Nancy? Did she forget to say something? Did i say something? Was it even Nancy? Only one way to find out. I picked up the phone and raised it to my ear.
"Nancy?"
"Hello Y/N"
I didn't know the voice, i would have known who it is by now, has to be someone who called the wrong number or something.
"Hi, who is this?"
"You tell me"
I'm trying to place his voice but nothing clicks, it sounds a little bit distorted.
"I have no idea"
"Scary night isn't it? With all the murders and all, it's like its all coming right out of a horror movie or something"
"Ah Gareth, you gave yourself away, you are the only person i can think of who speaks about movies at random times, especially horror movies"
"Do you like scary movies?"
"I like that thing you are doing with your voice Gare, i think the ladies will dig it"
"What's your favorite scary movie?"
"Don't start, you know i don't watch that shit"
"And why is that?"
"Because they are all the same, it's always some stupid killer stalking some big breasted girl who always runs upstairs when they should be running out the front door, its ridiculous."
A brief silence passed by.
“Are you alone in the house?”
“That is so unoriginal. You disappoint me, Gareth”
“That’s because I’m not Gareth”
“So who are you then?”
“The question is not who am I, the real question is where am I?”
“So where are you?”
“Your front porch”
I pause, I slowly move towards the window closet to me and pull aside the drapes, I can’t see all of the porch but I don’t see anyone.
“Why would you call me from my front porch?”
“That’s the original part”
"Oh yeah? Well i call your bluff"
Fuck it, i quickly unlock the door and swing it open revealing the front porch, but i see no one.
It's one of the boys pulling a prank on me, it has to be, i can't think of anyone else it could be.
"Can you see me right now?"
"uh-huh"
An idea pops up in my head.
"What am i doing?" i say as i stick my finger to my nose, mimicking i was picking my nose "Good try Gareth, better see you at school, don't need you failing like Eddie, bye now-"
"If you hang up, you'll die just like Chrissy and Jason did….do you wanna die? I know they didn’t…”
My mouth went dry. Mouth agape but no words leaving it. I couldn’t even stop myself from hanging up immediately and dialing one of the only numbers I knew wouldn’t be dead luck…

Part 1
~3rd Person~
Peaches felt so much better about school and Hawkins in general. She had friends, her boys she decided to call them. And according to Dustin, she’d have a few more. She loves the nickname she was given. She never cared about fitting in but she was glad she found others who made her feel like she belonged. Hellfire made her feel like she was always meant to be there.
After lunch, the group began to separate, walking to their respective classes. Each member bid her farewell.
Before walking down the hall she called out, “Hey Gareth!”
He turned around, “What's up Peaches?”
“After school, did you still wanna have a ‘grass’ session with me?” she asked nervously, pushing up her glasses.
“Hell yeah! I’ll wait for you in the parking lot.”
“Perfect!” she smiled, turning in the opposite direction. Unaware that Eddie was right behind her, only able to catch Gareth’s response. Were they meeting after school? Did you like Gareth? He couldn't help feeling that little green monster creeping up again but it instantly faded when he saw her jump.
“Fuck Eddie!”
He liked hearing her say his name. She somehow made it sound so much sweeter.
~Lena~
“You scared the daylights out of me!” I smacked his arm trying to catch my breath as he raised them in defense.
“Forgive me, milady, that was not my intent.”
I couldn't help but giggle. “Uh huh sure. Then praytell, what is your intent, good sir?”
“To escort fair maiden Peaches to her next educational torture.” Eddie bows to sell the bit.
I had to contain the blush creeping up my cheeks. All the boys are using the nickname but it feels different when Eddie uses it.
When he looks up at me I shake my head, beginning to walk. “Don't you have a class too?” He didn't need to know yet that I had a study hall.
He stands up and jogs to catch up with me. “Mrs, O’Donnell can wait. Besides, I wanted to know what you thought about good ole Hawkins high.”
I shrugged my shoulders, “It’s not so bad. There is a clear imbalance in the hierarchy and everyone seems way too invested in basketball. I personally find it boring. Besides, I’m more of a band girl anyway.”
“Finally! Someone normal!” Eddie cheers out. I couldn't help but laugh at his theatrics.
“Everyone here seems small-minded, that they don't like change or the unconventional.”
“That's Hawkins for ya sweetheart. If you aren't cookie cutter then you're branded a ‘freak’.”
I forced myself to ignore the pet name. But it made me sad to think. Is that how the boys were labeled? Bullied because they dressed differently or liked other things that weren’t sports? Hawkins was so ass backward and it wasn't going to force me into conformity.
“Well, I guess that makes me a freak then.” I turned to face him as I stopped in front of the library.
Eddie looked at me with a look I couldn't quite place. Maybe I shouldn't read too much into it. He pointed at the library questioningly. “Oh, did I forget to mention I have a study hall?” I teased then curtsied. “I thank you good sir for the company. Now I bid thee farewell.”
He smirks at me and takes my hand, “But of course. Anything for Maiden Peaches.” Eddie kissed the back of my hand then sauntered off down the hall.
I let go of the breath I didn't know I was holding in. I could feel how red my cheeks were as I walked through the doors looking for a table to sit at and attempt to study. Which proved to be more difficult than intended. Head clouded with Eddie when I knew it shouldn't be. C’mon Lena, you can't have a crush this quickly! You just met him! Besides, he's just being nice because you're the new girl. At least that's what I tried to convince myself. Maybe I could poke around and ask questions with Gareth? Though they seemed like best friends, he probably wouldn't share secrets with me.
Worth a shot.
~Eddie~
God, how was I crushing so hard already?! She’s absolutely perfect! I wanted to know everything about her. What music she listened to, and what movies she watched. Did she know D&D? How would she react to me having a band? I couldn't stop thinking about her.
After I walked away from her, I felt like I was on cloud nine. Fuck going to class. I decided I was going to skip this class and head to my picnic table for a smoke. Then I’d catch up with Gareth. I needed to know what was going on between them. I know I wasn't the only one captivated by not just her beauty but her humor and her charm as well. I lit a cigarette and took a long drag. Letting it fill my lungs then exhale all the smoke.
Maybe ‘m getting ahead of myself? What if she already has a boyfriend? Or what if she doesn't even like guys? I mean Buckley swings that way so it is possible. We just became friends, is it selfish of me to already want something more, to be more to her?
All my life in Hawkins, there wasn't anyone quite like Peaches.
As if on cue, the bell rang just as I stomped out my cigarette. Time to have a chat with Gareth.
~3rd Person~
When Eddie found Gareth, he casually put his arm around his best friend. Gareth could see the mischief in his eyes. “What did I do?”
“Heard you say you were meeting Peaches after school? What's that about?” Eddie tried not to sound desperate, but it may have come out as jealousy instead.
Gareth knew immediately then that his best friend had the hots for her. I mean could he blame him? It didn't stop him from having a bit of fun with Eddie. He didn't need to know that Gareth was secretly trying to help him in the long run. “Yeah man, she asked me if I wanted to share a joint with her.”
He could practically see the gears moving inside Eddie’s head. Trying not to show his agitation.
“You rarely smoke.” Eddie couldn't wrap his head around it. And he thought Peaches couldn't get any better. A grunge stoner goddess roamed these halls.
Of all people though, why’d you have to ask Gareth? His green monster was starting to get the better of him.
“Who am I to turn down such an offer? Besides, gives me the chance to get to know her more.”
Eddie wanted to punch the smirk off his face but contained himself. He had to remind himself that it was fair game. It didn't mean he liked the idea.
“Trying to get with our Peaches, Gare?”
“We’re just friends, Eds.” Just then the bell rang signaling the next class. “Look, I got to go. We’ll talk later man.”
Gareth walked away, leaving Eddie alone in the hallway.
Eddie’s mind was too preoccupied; he barely paid attention for the rest of the day. Well, even less than he usually did.
~Lena~
I couldn't be more happy than to hear the last bell ring. The day was finally over. My brain was fried and not in the way I wanted yet.
I quickly gathered my things and headed to my locker. I didn't want Gareth to have to wait long for me. As I started putting books into my locker, I thought about the questions I wanted to ask him that I didn't get to during lunch. Nothing super personal, just general things about the boys.
Once my locker was locked, I headed towards the doors. Pushing them open I see Gareth leaning against the building. “Sorry if I took too long.”
He turned his head and smiled, “It’s all good Peaches.”
I return the smile and walk towards my car, he pushes off the wall and follows.
“Do you have a spot or…?” I asked as I opened my door and tossed my bag in the back seat.
”Uh…most of the time it’s the back of Eddie’s van.” Gareth rubs the back of his neck, nervously laughing while we get into my car.
I turn my key and it roars to life. Eddie. I hadn’t even thought to ask him. Now I feel like an idiot and rude.
”Oh. Well now I feel bad. Had I known I would’ve asked him if he wanted to join too.”
”Don’t worry Peach. There’s always next time.”
I started reversing out of the spot I was in, “You’re right. We could go to my house if that’s cool with you? My parents let me smoke on the roof.”
”That’s badass! Mine won't even let me in the garage.”
I laughed as I pulled out of the parking lot, heading towards my house. “Oh, I have some tapes in my glove compartment if you don’t want to listen to Queen.”
In the corner of my eye I saw him reach and search through what I had. Though I had a feeling I knew what he’d pick.
“You listen to Black Sabbath?”
I knew he’d be shocked. One, it was considered “Devil music” and two, sometimes I didn’t look like the kind of girl to like that sort of music. But I didn’t care and I told him what I told everyone.
“Music is music Gareth. I like what I like.”
”I knew I made the right decision becoming friends with you Peaches.”
I looked over at him and gave him a smile while at a red light. He put in the tape and we jammed out for the rest of the ride.
When I parked in front of my house, I noticed that neither of my parents were home yet. Which was fine, I wasn’t uncommon since they both had jobs. Before I got out of my car, I reached into the glove compartment to retrieve my last joint and placed it in my pocket.
I unlocked my front door and we entered. “Welcome to Casa de Peaches. Make yourself a home.” I relocked the door then tossed my keys on the coffee table and my bag on the couch. “Before we head to the roof, we should probably grab some drinks and snacks. I don’t know about you but I get major munchies.”
I gestured for him to follow me into the kitchen. I opened the fridge and grabbed a drink. “You can have whatever you want.” I said leaving it open for him to choose. We each grabbed a few snacks from the cabinet as well then he followed me to my room.
”You got a nice place Peaches.” I hear Gareth say as we reach the top of the stairs.
”It’s not so bad. I’m still getting used to it.”
As soon as I opened my door, I was mortified. “Fuck!”
I had forgotten that I had shit everywhere. Clothes, shoes, books, tapes and records. My room looked like a raid happened while I was at school. I could hear Gareth chuckle from behind me. “I am so sorry it’s so messy. I usually have it fairly clean when friends are over.” He probably thinks I’m gross because girls are supposed to be cleaner than boys.
”It reminds me of my room, but slightly girly.” He laughed. “Don’t worry. I don’t think less of you.”
Well that’s a relief.
I place my snacks on my small side table next to the window. While Gareth did the same, I quickly started cleaning up some of the disaster. He noticed. “Seriously Peaches, it's fine.”
He ended up grabbing my shoulders to stop me from moving around.
”Okay. Okay.” I took a deep sigh then fished out the joint from my pocket. I couldn’t stop the smirk that was forming.
”Let's light this sucker!”
