Part 1. The King Of The Ring.
| Next →
Spynosis: Sukuna is a world champion with anger issues. It's believed by many that he is untrainable. Yeah, you can't train him, but you can dominate him. Contents: Fighting. Sukuna being Sukuna. female reader being dom. Jinx AU (the BL, not the character from lol) Warnings: Cursed words. Sexual harassment. I only read it once, lmao Word count: 2899 words. A/N: Hiya! Well, I am up-to-date with Jinx, and even tho it's so fun to read, I just fucking hate Joo Jaekyung so much! So, I decided to kinda write my own version with my favorite toxic man. Hope you like it, folks!
Tumblr media
“Sukuna Ryomen, ladies and gentlemen! He demonstrated again why he is the king of the ring!” The excited narrator exclaimed, meanwhile the king flexed the golden belt around his waist after another amazing fight.
His body was glossed with sweat, his lips were smiling proudly and the blood of his opponent was sliding down his skin. A dangerous beast who just caught his prey. They showed the repetition of the final hit in slow motion, a perfect punch in the perfect moment. Luck doesn’t exist in the world of mixed martial arts, we have unique opportunities instead. I also used to believe that luck didn’t exist, until I witnessed it in person.
“It’s here,” I thought out loud when I saw the giant sign that read Team Black MMA Gym in bright white and red letters.
It was the most important MMA gym in Tokyo. I heard that they only accept the fighters with most potential of the country. My trainer told me that I should try out but, as a woman, I wasn’t particularly interested in entering a male-exclusive gym. The only woman there is the physiotherapist.
I took the elevator to the gym’s floor. When the doors opened, the smell of sweat and the sound of the metal weights welcomed me. I just stepped inside, and I had already eyes of me, was expecting it to be honest. A woman in a gym filled by rugged men isn’t something you see every day. It didn’t help that I was using an oversize gray hoodie which covered my shorts, making it seem that I wasn’t wearing any pants.
The gym was divided is training areas. In the corner, there was a real ring that stood tall for fighters to simulate real combats. Along the gym, there were several punching bags, weight stations and resistance equipment. Also, there were more areas designed to practice different fighting styles.
The sound of the punches and kicks, mixed with the instructions of the coaches, created a threatening and energetic environment. You could easily notice who were the fighters with discipline. Those were working hard to perfect their skills, showing off their determination in every move. The place was impregnated with a spirit of self-improvement and sportsmanship, where the passion for martial arts was in every corner.
“Welcome, miss.”  A tall blonde man called me.
“You must be the manager, Nanami Kento,” I greeted with a bow, which was reciprocated.
“It’s a pleasure to meet you in person,” he greeted back. “Let me introduce you to your trainee.” He leaded the way through the heavy equipment to the outstanding ring.
Sukuna was simulating a fight with another member of the gym. Nanami and I just waited for them to finish so he could introduce me. Sukuna was constantly moving towards his opponent, creating closure enough so he could punch him better. The power difference could be noticed from what they were wearing. Sukuna was just wearing a black compressed shirt and gray shorts, meanwhile his black haired opponent was wearing the gym uniform and all the protection equipment available.
It was a different experience watching live the king of the ring in action. The details like the sound of the punching winds and how Sukuna’s muscles flexed with every move were lost on the TV. When Sukuna threw a definite left jab that left his opponent in the floor, I couldn’t help to gulp hard. He was a killing machine.
“Great job!” Nanami applauded along some other fighters who were witnessing the fight as well. I clapped so I didn’t look so out of place.
Sukuna turned to my way and a grimace of disgust appeared on his face, a total stranger with no pants on. He took his gloves off and throw them to my feet. “So this is how it is going to be?” I asked myself, not even bothering picking them up. Sukuna gritted his teeth when I didn’t react.
“What an awful cleaning lady you hired, Kento,” Sukuna disdainfully said.
“She is not a cleaning lady! She is your new coach,” Nanami introduced me, ashamed by the attitude of his star athlete.
“Kick her out, I don’t need a new coach,” Sukuna groaned.
“If I knew this was going to be like this, why am I here?” I asked myself in my mind, starting to take back my decision of becoming the coach of a well-known fighter with anger issues. Ah, I remember now. I needed to see something for myself.
“Hello? Am I talking with y/n?” A couple of weeks ago, Nanami Kento called to my gym, desperate.
“You are talking with her,” I answered, thinking he was a recruiter or someone in the UFC.
“Great. My name is Nanami Kento, and I am Sukuna Ryomen’s manager.” A famous fighter in the MMA world. The world champion in the light heavyweight division. The king of the ring and a wild tiger during interviews due to his lack of humbleness. A horrible person to the simple eye, a magnificent opponent in the ring.
“I’ll be straight forward. I don’t if you saw his last fight…” Sukuna’s last fight was in Las Vegas against Suguru Geto, another amazing fighter. The interesting thing about that encounter was seeing two great fighters specialized in opposite areas. Geto specializes in floor fighting, meanwhile Ryomen is an incredible boxer. Everyone went crazy when the fight was announced, could Sukuna beat him with just his bare punches, or would Geto be able to bring him down to his advantage?
In the middle of the fourth round, Geto pulled him to the floor and Sukuna was in problems. Obviously, Sukuna has some training in floor fighting, but he that wasn’t enough when you are against the best. Sukuna tried to set himself free by the force, but his punches weren’t good enough to win the fight.
“It will be a technical knockout.” I thought out while watching the fight from the comfort of my living room. I was eating chips mindlessly until I saw a unique opportunity.
Sukuna, in some way, could free himself from Geto’s strong grip. With great momentum, Sukuna delivered a precise punch to the jaw that completely knocked Suguru out. I jumped from the couch to watch closely the repetition. I had seen Geto do that chokehold a thousand times, no opponent can just simply free themselves like that. My eyes couldn’t believe how clean that punch was.
“The thing is that his coach and I believe he must improve his floor techniques,” Nanami explained the situation.
“There are many more renowned trainers who specialize in floor, why me?” I asked, curious at the whole conversation. I have heard rumors that Sukuna is pretty picky with whom he lets in his gym.
“You are right. You have been the tenth coach I had called today,” Nanami honestly answered. “Sukuna is too stubborn and doesn’t want to admit that he was also beaten in his last fight. He goes out of his way to get rid of every coach we bring him.”
“Why do you think I will accept?” I asked. If he was calling me, a woman, there’s must be a reason.
“If I believe someone can humble him and teach him some discipline is you,”  he declared.
An offended smile appeared on my face. I wasn’t going to let Sukuna Ryomen treat me like if I was a slack to deal with. Now I understood why every coach gave up on him, you cannot train something that doesn't want to be trained, but you can tame it.
“Sukuna, we already talked about this. You should train with someone who specializes in floor so what happened in Vegas doesn't happen again,” his coach said, Satoru Gojo. A tall white haired man in an all black coaching uniform. He was standing beside him with his arms crossed, clearly stressed from dealing with his bratty attitude all day.
“What happened in Las Vegas stays in Las Vegas. I don’t need another stupid coach,” he defended himself while he brushed his hair back with his fingers.
“You win, I won’t train you,” I said in defeat. I turned around and was making my way to the elevator. “Either way, I don’t train assholes,” I said with a sly smile. A howl from the fighters who heard me echoed through the gym.
“Stop!” He barked. I turned around to see what he wanted.
“You didn’t want me to leave?” I asked, trying not to smirk.
“What did you call me?” He dared me to repeat myself.
“Did Geto hit you so hard that you went deaf? I said, you are an asshole!” I shouted from my place.
Nanami quickly got to me so I behaved better, but I couldn’t back down now. Sukuna scoffed and snapped his fingers at me.
“Get up here,” he demanded as another fighter gave him back his gloves. He wanted to fight me.
“You don’t have to, miss,” Nanami warned me in a whisper.
“I know what I am doing, don’t worry,” I answered in the same volume.
I put the teeth protector I brought with me on my pink shoulder bag. I wrapped my hands in bandages while Sukuna was analyzing me from top to bottom. It was understandable, I was a dangerous wasp in his bee hive. The rest of the fighters stop training to get around the ring to witness the match. When I finished wrapping my hands, I took off my hoodie, revealing my abs and toned arms. Some whistle and applauded as if I was a stripper, when I could shut them up with a kick in the nuts. Sukuna, in the other hand, just kept staring, looking for weaknesses. He was being serious.
“You better not be wasting my time,” he angrily barked. His red eyes still looking me from head to toes without shame.
“You are already wasting mine,” I answered. Sukuna smiled, offended.
“We are really going to let this fight happen?” Nanami asked Gojo.
“It looks like it's the only way he will accept her,” Gojo said before stepping inside the ring. “Touch gloves so we can start.” I placed my gloves in the middle so Sukuna could bump them, but he just backed away. “Fucking pussy” I thought, backing up to my side.
A small audience formed around the ring for an unusual show. A light heavyweight champion against a random girl that just showed up. It looked like the possibilities of winning weren’t on my side. I started moving my legs and arms to relax my limbs. If Sukuna was a lion, I had to be a fast gazelle. His preying eyes were on me all times. I smiled at him. He could look me everything he wanted, he didn’t scare me. It was my time to show him who was boss.
“Fight!” Gojo shouted.
There is a gold rule in mixed martial arts: “The first hit is the most important.” Sukuna flew towards me with a superman punch. He was open. I dodged it fast enough so I could jab him against his left cheek. The surprised audience gasped collectively. Sukuna quickly got used to my rhythm and changed his posture towards me. I created distance between us, so I could evaluate my options. I didn't have any other option than going for his legs, but that wouldn’t be a simple task. His legs were too strong to just swoop him off his feet with a single kick. I needed to do something more drastic.
Sukuna kept closing the distance between us to punch me directly, he was looking for the knockout. He was more of an offensive than defensive fighter, like I already knew. Sukuna hit me a couple of times that were celebrated by the public. They stung with power and intense pain. He was giving the best of him. I needed to answer with the same power, but in a more clever way.
I kicked him in the stomach so he could back down, but he pushed my hand down just in time, so my kick didn’t connect well. I tried kicking the other side, this time he stopped me by grabbing my ankle. Big mistake. I impulsed myself with my other leg to kick him on his face to knock him to the floor. Sukuna fell with a big slam that made the whole audience to howl in surprised.
I quickly got onto him to lock him down against the mat with my legs around his neck and torso. He tried getting up, just like with Geto, but I wasn’t going to let him. This was the only chance I got to beat him. I could listen to Sukuna growling under his breath. He punched me against my sides, but I couldn’t give up. I latched my left leg on his right arm, making him turn around slowly. The audience screamed confusing instructions to Sukuna because they knew if this continued like this, the fight was over. I made Sukuna turned around on his belly. I reached for his head, so I could chokehold him in between my biceps. The screams kept getting louder, but I didn’t give a damn. I needed to end him, if I wanted a place on his gym. Sukuna started to breath with difficulty while this hands tried to loosen up my powerful grasp. He was reliving what happened in Las Vegas.
“Come on, Sukuna! Finish this!” Gojo ordered among the hollering. Sukuna sighed and obeyed. He tapped my arms three times in surrender. A technical knockout. I quickly released him and I stand tall, leaving him space so he could breathe.
“y/n “Medusa’s snake” y/ln is the winner,” Gojo announced while raising my arm in victory. The fighters applauded me in approval. I took my dental protector to breathe comfortably through my mouth. Even though I won, I wasn’t finished.
“Good fight…” Sukuna groaned under his breath, giving me his hand to shake. I did shake it, even though he was visibly mad. I could understand why, I just kicked his ass in front of his entire gym.
“This means you will train Sukuna?” Nanami asked me with hope in his voice.
“No, I said I didn’t coach assholes” I shrugged. Sukuna’s face turned from angry to offended in a hot second.
“What the fuck is wrong with you?! I am a world champion, you should be honored to train me!” He shouted on my face, but I didn’t budge. He wasn't upset that I had to train him. Now, he's just mad because I didn't want to train him anymore. We were making progress.
“I am not interested in training the world champion of assholes,” I seriously said before putting my hoodie back on.
I hung the bag on my shoulder and quickly walked away from the whole situation. I dodged the other fighters on my way out. Nanami kept following me, asking me to reconsider the offer. I took the elevator, leaving the chaos behind me. Once the doors closed, I collapsed against the wall behind me. Fighting against Sukuna was an entire workout. The bruises started to show up in purple hues, my legs were trembling weak, and my lips were begging for water. Dealing with Sukuna wasn’t an easy task.
The elevator’s doors opened on the first floor. I stepped out just to rest my body for a minute. I took my water bottle out to drink some while I waited. What I was waiting for? I really didn’t know, but I needed to wait for someone to come chasing after me to beg me to stay. Maybe it was going to be Nanami, Gojo or any other fighter. It could be anyone.
“Wait!” The last person that I thought would come for me said behind me. It was Sukuna. He looked tired and agitated. He was wearing a black hoodie, and he wiped the sweat off his forehead.
“What do you need, asshole?” I asked without taking the straw off my mouth.
“Don’t call me like that,” he groaned.
“I will once you stop acting like one,” I said, putting my water bottle aside. Sukuna rolled his eyes and sighed. He was so done. “Now you know that you need me?” I asked with a confident smirk.
“I don't need you, but you are good. I want you in my team,” he corrected.
“Fine, with one condition.” Sukuna raised his chin at me to continue. “You must accept that you are terrible in floor fighting.” He laughed at the “absurd condition.”
“I am a world champion, I am not terrible in floor fighting,” he angrily said.
“It’s not good to lie so much,” I said, replicating his tone. I turned around to exit the building. “If you don’t want to fulfil my condition, I can’t train you.”
“Wait!” Sukuna grab me by my arm to stopped me. “Fine,” he sighed again. “I am terrible at floor fighting, are you happy now?” I turned to him with a bright smile on my face.
“See? That wasn’t that hard.”
“Hush,” he groaned, clearly embarrassed. His cheeks were a bit flustered, it was kinda cute.
“When do we start?” I asked with a proud heart. The Medusa’s Snake had beaten another terrible man.
“Right now,” he pulled me with him, back to the elevator.

If I ever get around to writing a sequel to my fighter-pilot AU, I might give Jinx a service poro named Pom-Pom to help her with war trauma.
Naturally, Lux would find the sight of Jinx with her fluffy animal adorable.

hii :) could you maybe do vi x reader in high school together?
sure! we need a powerful lesbian couple in highschool 💃🏾🕺🏾
content warning : female reader , highschool , modern AU , everyone is alive here and in the school here :,)
Tumblr media
i feel like you two met your first year of highschool. you were kinda kept to yourself a lot before Vi came and talked to you. after you two started hanging out you both became inseparable
everyone honestly didn’t get why you two were friends, she was a fighter and got into fights a lot and you always helped her after fights.
after awhile you both started dating and everyone was talking about it. everyone was always whispering to each other in the halls as you walked down the middle. Vi loved it and you tried to hard to stay hidden
you two made a bunch of friends. your friends were friends with Vi’s friends and vise versa.
definitely the group that everyone tries to avoid because of Vi
you sit on her lap at the tables outside before, during lunch and after school.
when Vi got suspended you went to hee house every day to help her with homework
you, vi and your group of friends have your own table in the cafeteria you sit at everyday. one new kid made the mistake of sitting there once and now he’s your best friend
when Jinx went to your Highschool she was an automatic member of your friend group
every weekend you, Vi, jinx and a few other friends do activities (youre banned from three bowling rings and two movie theatre’s)
one weekend you and Vi went to an arcade and spend quality time together
during your senior year is when you started throwing parties and shit. parties were usually at your house whenever you parents weren’t home for the weekend. lemme just say stuff went down a few times at your parties (especially with you and vi)
vi is the type to say “where is my hug at, cupcake” in the middle of the hallway. you can’t prove me wrong
always has two jackets just incase you want one
also is the type to text you and talk shit about her teacher while in that teachers class
her locker has pictures of you two together. she even has your bracelet she may or may have not stolen from your room while you two were hanging out in there too
you two broke up once’s after an argument and it was kinda awkward for like a week because you were still hanging out with your friends and Jinx. Jinx got you to back together again
Vi definitely told herself she would marry you after highschool.
the only time you both actually argued badly was that time i just said where you broke up for a week. normally your arguments are over stupid fixable things and they last like a few hours at most. you two were labelled the perfect couple in school because of that. everyone wanted a relationship like yours
you didn’t show up to school for a week once and Vi had separation anxiety and didn’t go to school until you came back. everyone had a rumor that you both were arrested and just for amusement you never confirmed or denied it for a week or two
dude, Vi got tattoos and piercings during christmas break and EVERYONE FREAKED THE FUCK OUT NGL.
it was monday morning after christmas break ended. you and Vi drove to school with Jinx and two other friends. you were the one driving while Vi was in the passenger seat. Vi had three healing piercings and her tattoos were pretty much almost healed
“dude, everyone ur gonna freak out over your tattoos Vi!” Jinx said, leaning up. Ekko quickly pulled her back to sit down. jinx punched him and sat back
“that’s the point — i want them to”
you car had a pretty big Sun roof that Vi and jinx liked to climb out of whenever you drove together so you started opening it for the two. once Vi saw it was close to the school she climbed out of it with just half her body out the car and she greeted the rest of your friends that were getting off the bus. you parked the car at the senior parking spot and watched as jinx did the same thing
“guess who got tattoos motherfuckers!! this bitch right here!”
“you’re fucking joking!” one friend said, Vi jumped out the car and Jinx stood on the top
“she was crying during her piercings though! ‘y/n baby hold my hand!’” Jinx mocked. you, Ekko and Mylo all got out the car after you closed the roof
“the guy scared me asshole!”
“you were totally crying”
“get down before the principal suspends you again” ekko said, holding his arms out so she could hop down. jinx did just that and you handed them their bags. Vi walked inside with you and the rest and everyone was talking about what they did over christmas break and what they got
“i got a PS5”
“you got a 4 dumbass” you said, opening your locker, vi standing behind you and waiting for you
“oh shit i did, oops”
“FUCKIN LYING ASS” mylo said
“I FORGOT BRO DAMN ITS WHITE WND I HAVE IT STANDING UP, X BOX HAVING ASS”
“at least they don’t scam you of your money”
“yes they fucking do!”
“SHUT UP!”
you were dying laughing on your locker after getting what you needed for the day and then going to Vi’s locker with her. Jinx and Mylo were still arguing over who scams who out of peoples money and poor Ekko was just trying to text his mom that he got to school safely :(
throughout the day vi texted you a list of teachers that said she couldn’t have tattoos and piercings but she humbled them and said she was 18 so she could do whatever she wanted. during lunch you showed up late
“guys, that one teacher saw my car and now he’s complaining to Mr. Viktor about it!” you said laughing while sitting next to Vi. jinx being jinx was sitting on the table
“Mr Silco?”
“yeah! he’s mad i have a better car. he’s mad a 18 year old has a better car than him”
“stab his tires”
“jinx!”
“what?! he got Vi’s car towed a few weeks ago! he deserves it!”
“i could get arrested”
“you would be the second one”
vi sat there, mouth agape before laughing and punching jinx in the arm. the rest of the lunch was spent talking and you showing Ekko random pictures he thought were hilarious and was dying laughing
once school ended you and Vi were waiting for everyone to get their stuff from their lockers when Vi spotted silco going to his
“nice car, i wish i had mine yaknow” she said, you tried not to giggle “but my girlfriends car is better. it’s new , did you know that”
silco stood there kinda mean mugging Vi while you were full on laughing before getting into your car. Jinx and Ekko got into the car after walking out the school
“mylo got in trouble so he’s gonna stay until the last bus comes”
“he literally bumped into the principal and she got pissed off.”
you pulled out the parking lot and started driving walmart since that’s where you wanted to after school.
i’ll just say Jinx broke something at walmart and now y’all gotta find another walmart because they kicked you all out 💀

arcane au you say? :eyes:
Well, not a full AU, but more like "ideas for what an AU could look like while keeping the characters true to who they are, rather than forcing them to fit the characters from the show."
Like for instance . . . Sonic does have some things in common with Vi, and Tails does have some things in common with Powder. But while I can see some exchanges between Vi and Power working between Sonic and Tails (e.g. I could see Tails' borrowing Powder's line: "Just that you were 'twice the person at half my age'. You heard them, I'm not a fighter"; as well as Sonic borrowing Vi's, "What makes you different makes you strong. Remember that"), I can't see their relationship breaking apart in the same way that Vi's and Powder's did at the end of episode three. It's probably my unbreakable bond bias speaking, but—actually, no, you know what? It's not, because I didn't come up with "unbreakable bond" for them. Sega came up with that. It's their team-up name in Sonic Advance 3. Sonic and Tails literally have an unbreakable bond, so I just can't see their relationship fracturing or falling apart like Vi's and Powder's did in Arcane. It just doesn't work, on numerous levels:
1.) Tails' inventions work. RIP to Powder, but he's different. So already, there's a critical difference in how the story would play out.
2.) Unless he was mind controlled or otherwise out of control of his own body, I really cannot see Sonic hitting Tails. I definitely can't see him continuing to manhandle Tails as Tails sobs and cowers and pleads with him to stop. Not only is Sonic a pretty private person with his more painful emotions (this is why Sega says he can't cry), but even in a situation where some of Tails' tech malfunctioned or was used against them, and their other friends died . . . seeing Tails breaking down into hysterics over what happened would quell Sonic's own rage. Yeah, of course he'd feel some kind of way about it. He might bench Tails for a while. But he wouldn't smack him, wouldn't manhandle him, wouldn't scream at him, wouldn't storm off and leave Tails screaming and crying after him. That's just not who Sonic is.
So already, the thing that separates the two before the timeskip would have to be different. To keep it in-character, I think it would make much more sense for there to be an intense situation, perhaps a face-off against Eggman or something. The situation is really bad, they're being overwhelmed, maybe a few of their friends have already been killed. And Sonic, because he always makes Tails' safety a priority, shoves Tails out of a window or something to get him out of the proximity of the danger. And then, before Tails can get back in there to help Sonic escape, the building explodes and Tails is made to believe that Sonic perished in the explosion.
(Sonic didn't. Instead, he was captured by Eggman and imprisoned for the next five or six years. But Tails doesn't know that.)
And then that brings us to the next change. Because while Eggman would still be the big bad in this, I can't see any scenario where he takes in and genuinely comes to love Tails. And that's a pretty big thing for Silco and Powder/Jinx; Silco saw himself in the little girl sobbing over her feelings of betrayal by a sibling, which is why he took her in. And he truly came to love her as his daughter. It wasn't a ploy, or an act. He really loved her. But Eggman only loves himself and I can't see that changing / don't want to drastically change the characters for an AU to work. So although he's still the primary villain in the story, he can't be the Silco equivalent when it comes to the brothers.
But you know who could? Shadow.
Because in this scenario, Tails wasn't abandoned; instead, his big brother sent him away from the danger, and then was killed basically right in front of him (or so Tails thinks). And what do you know, but the same thing basically happened to Shadow. His older sister-figure, Maria, sent him away from the danger, and then was gunned down herself as a result. It's something that, in canon, fucks him up to this day, to the point where in the Twitter Takeovers not even Eggman will taunt Shadow with it. So in this case, when Tails is sobbing his heart out in the street because he thinks that Sonic just got blown to pieces while he, Tails, could do nothing but watch, well . . .
Shadow: "You're a heartbroken younger sibling whose older sibling died in front of you in an effort to protect you?"
Tumblr media
So in this scenario, perhaps Shadow knew Sonic and Tails a little before this, and so he still asks Tails where his brother is. And Tails, like Powder, launches himself at Shadow, still sobbing, and says that his brother died, he's dead and Tails could do nothing, because Sonic sent him away before he could help. And Shadow remembers the this-AU-version of how Maria died, and so he slowly hugs Tails back, and Silco's line changes just enough so that it's:
"It's okay. We'll avenge them. We'll avenge them both."
And that's how he adopts Tails as his new little brother and teaches him such things as "revenge feels awesome" and "murder is okay."
Sonic's in for a big surprise when he gets busted out of jail, let me tell you.

black-wing devil, with heaven in your hands?
Ugh this FIC.
So this is a very unfinished idea that I've been tinkering with for a while. It sits somewhere in my scraps and doves AU and is essentially a big comparison piece on Silco's and Vi's perceptions of Vander.
I have a lot of thoughts on what all Vander represented to these two, mainly because they are introduced as the ones who were closest to him, and have been set up through the series to be antagonists for each other as a result of that closeness. This is not only because their memories of Vander directly conflict with each other (Silco remembers the Hound, their leader, a fighter: a violent, ruthless and awe-worthy man; Vi remembers a father and mentor, a loving but pacified man shackled by his own shame)—but also because their perceptions of Powder/Jinx.
Vi only sees Powder: the little sister who was her responsibility to protect, who she believes she failed, and who Silco "made" into Jinx—this chilling killer, this wrathful girl, this broken thing she no longer recognizes.
On the flip side, Silco only sees Jinx: the child he's taken in, who has found strength and potential in the identity she has chosen to reclaim for herself. He sees Vi as the root of her demons: the reason for her self-doubt and shame—and Powder, to him (as he understands through Jinx's own resentment of what "Powder" meant, to herself) is the manifestation of all of that.
But then we get to Vander—and things get complicated for these two. Because they both knew him, followed him, felt supported by him, loved him.
They have such an immediate point of connection, here. But, still, their ideas of him are conflicting. Rooted in their own memory and regrets.
Silco sees what-never-was, what-could-have-been. He sees a younger, weaker part of himself, who poured so much into a man who turned his back on him. And he's bitter about that. Vander is no longer a happy memory, for him—but still, it's one he cherishes.
A metal-kissed sucker-punch, draped in silvered cinnamon plumes. Woodpolish and mint on blood-scraped nails, and hellfire, and hate, plowing off one's breath like a beast. A shell of gentleness, fine as gossamer, wrapped around a rage inexorable as a gas leak. That, to him, was Vander. His bloodless brother, brother-in-arms, brawny arms laced within his sinewed own; his hands clapping to his back, his laughter the kind that boomed like a bomb blast; his liquor-sweetened jeers and palms heavy through the hair at his nape, rough-tumbled tenderness threading a blistered rope of want. (Oh, to what end did he dare to desire?—for his faith, trust, deliverance; to believe those hands would carry their city to freedom, and his wretched self along with it? That every snare and grab and crack of knuckles and bone meant that the years he'd spent breaking had made a forge, and not a coffin? That those same hands laced around his throat, crushing his bones through his voicebox, stifling the oxygen from his veins, had come from some bastardization of love, and not a lifetime of hatred? No. Hope was a young man's game. Reality had sunk its teeth in at seventeen, and chewed at whatever scraps of it were left. Nine years, and it had torn the sinew from the bone.)
(As a sidenote—all of this originally started as a backstory for how Silco and Vander met, which has since found its way into a few different ficlets here, here and here.)
With Vi, though, we get the opposite side of the coin. Her memories of Vander are warm and pleasant, and a part of her life she misses, desperately. There are things she regrets from it, too, and things she resents him for—but he was a light, for her. He was her everything.
Warmth, and smiles, and laughter: the kind that lit up one's soul with the glow of a thousand suns, that turned heads and filled rooms end-to-end. Orange zest in his pipe, and mint in his tea. The scent of woodpolish and tobacco on his clothes, smoke stuck on the tufts of his hair, a sweetened dust cloud filling her lungs when he'd toss her over his shoulder. That, to her, was Vander. Not Dad—but something. Unavoidable, irreplaceable, magnetic. Hers. Someone she understood. Who understood her. So many of her nights had found her slumped at that bar, bandages wrapped over her knuckles and him hunched across from her, his quiet scoldings peppering the rough gentleness of his hands: Can't have you goin' out like this, every night. You've got a good head on your shoulders, kiddo—but you need to be more careful. She'd hiss back at that, her chin pillowed on her palm: They came at me, first! or I did what you said to do! or You weren't there—you didn't hear what they said to Powder! He'd always smile, in the strangest way—like the pride and the shame in it was battling him, in turns. He'd lay a heavy hand about her forearm, and squeeze. I know.
The real thread of commentary underlying this is that, in his own way, Vander ultimately made these two who and what they are—and, even in his absence, they both are still striving for his approval; trying to be what he would have wanted.
(The irony, of course, is that neither of them know what that would be, really. They're both too wrapped up in their own assumptions, guilts, etc. to try to unpack the "why" around all of it.
But there's so much potential here for them to find some common ground with each other—to share both sides of Vander, the Hound and the man who set down the gauntlets, and maybe, just maybe, even find some semblance of peace and fatherhood in each other, again.
Will they, though...? Ehh.)

My entry into @aromansoul’s Boxer!Silco AU
TW: Blood, Injury, Graphic description of violence, angst, whump My entry, or an attempt on thereof, is set about a week or two after Arcane episode 3, so it features Act 1 Silco, Powder, and Sevika, as well as mentions of Vander and vague hints on Vanco.
I also focused on bare knuckle fighting instead of straight up boxing.
PART1 | PART2
This is part 3/5
Today without an illustration. I'm a bit too busy. I might make one later.
‘Til I’m laughing alone - ROUND 2
A tap of fists.
The first round was Kassal’s. Silco barely laid a punch. He knows he either raises the bar or goes down.
And he won’t go down, ohh no. Not voluntarily anyway. He always fought till the end and this won’t be any different.
Jaw clenched, fists high and square in a closed stance, eyes wide and focused, he takes a deep breathe and-
Bell
-springs out of place before the bell is done ringing. A different technique, one more suitable to his lithe form.
A long step forwards, no dancing. Tendons tighten, right and left jab to Kassal’s chest. The third jabs at his throat. The younger man gurgles.
A potentially illegal move, too fast for the referee to register. Kassal falters after an upward haymaker to his lowered chin.
Silco follows his backward stagger with a swift switch of his feet. Left front, right locks and turns as Silco forces the energy to spring up from the ball of his foot through the full left part of his body, higher, up, like a jolt up his arm, his fist shoots in a wide circle. A brutal hook onto Kassal’s right cheek sends the opponent tumbling to the side.
The two or three drunken steps Kassal performs feel more mechanical than conscious before he crushes to the floor.
Silco heaves, rolls his shoulder, turns to calm his heartbeat as the referee starts the first countdown of the match.
Silco’s left fist opens and closes, the knuckles are aching, his whole arm still vibrates with that vicious hit. The technique he chose is exhausting, always has been. Silco is not a tank type fighter, his strength lies in agility and stamina, but the fight is not well matched and he can’t risk getting hit more than absolutely necessary. He needs to bring his opponent down to his level. It’s worth it, not to mention this switch in approach finally got his blood flowing fast and proper; he can feel the adrenaline speeding his heart rate, pulsating in his throat and temples.
He’s feeling good. Excellent in fact.
The countdown only reaches five before Kassal climbs back to his feet. Their eyes meet, Silco’s are feverish with excitement, his opponent’s dark with fury.
The boy is mad because of that little dirty trick Silco pulled.
Good. Anger makes people do stupid things. Silco feels his busted lips twitching into a smirk.
A quick tap of the fists again, two steps away as both are now alert. Kassal is still dazed, his jab feels more like a testing move and Silco evades it by leaning back, retaliating with a straight of his own.
Kassal steps forward, fakes a jab, followed by a right hook into the ribs. Silco takes it, counter attacks with a right cross that separates them.
Now he has Kassal exactly where he wants him, until-
“Yeaah!! Give it to him, Silco!”
The high-pitched child’s voice somewhere close in the crowd breaks Silco’s focus.
Jinx?
Stupidly, he glances in her direction.
The next thing he sees is a fist, just for a second before it blacks out his vision. Pain explodes in his right eye.
He grunts, stumbling backwards and lifting his arms into guard.
Not good enough.
A sharp hit into the stomach sends him another two steps back and that damned cage rattles behind his back. The black fog is still not lifting, white speckles dance before his eyes as he hears a heavy voice somewhere close to his ear.
“I can fight dirty too, old man…”
His vision comes back blurred and spinning just in time to register Kassal’s teeth-baring grin. His opponent stomps the heel of his boot down on Silco’s left foot, pinning it underneath while his knee prevents the smaller man from freeing himself.
Silco grits his teeth and desperately raises his guard again. Not that it matters. The swarm of hits that follow are indiscriminate, swatting his arms away from the sides.
Ribs and sides, left and right in quick session, left cheek, right jaw, left temple, right cheek.
Silco groans as something snaps in the right cheekbone. His defense falters in a wave of nausea, hands lower.
A straight hit square in the center of his face, strong enough that the back of his head crashes into the bars with a loud, dull thump that resonates in the arena.
His eyes roll back and his vision is gone once again. Silco falls solid on his side with a weak gasp precisely as the bell rings.
*
“Fuck, fuck, fuck, wake up!”
The voice means nothing in the numb fog, however the smelling salts beneath his nose are a whole different story.
Silco’s head snaps up, eyes frantic and wide as he draws a sharp breath.
“Are you with me?” Sevika slaps his cheek slightly to get his attention.
“Where?”
“Good enough. Close your eye, hold this.” Ever-practical, Sevika wastes no time, pressing ice wrapped in a wet towel to his right eye. Silco flinches, hissing between his bloodied teeth. His whole body clenches at the sensation. Pain radiates from every inch of his face and torso.
He grits his teeth and takes over the compress.
Sevika kneels and swiftly cleans the blood off of Silco’s mouth and chin, lifts his busted lip to see if his teeth are loose, then touches the sides of his nose, a bit more carefully, Silco winces away.
“Yeah, broken, huh?” Sevika utters with a hint of sarcasm, and leans closer, “Silco, pull out of the match. You’re a fucking mess and-”
“I’m so sorry, that’s my fault…” here’s that small voice again, riddled with tears and trembling. Silco takes off the ice to actually look at Jinx in surprise.
The little blue-haired girl stands off to the side, chin shaking and eyes filling with tears of either anxiety or fear. Her hands, pressed into small fists, are pressing to the sides of her head. She whimpers and one of those small fists pathetically hits her own temple.
“I jinxed it! I jinx everything!”
Before she hits herself again, Silco catches her wrists, letting go off the ice pack completely.
“Stop it, listen!” He draws her closer, “You didn’t jinx anything, that was my mistake.”
“But I called you and you turned and he hit you and-”
“Because I wasn’t paying attention.” Silco stops her firmly. Jinx’s eyes dart over his face, her chin still trembling, threatening with tears. Silco smiles.
“Jinx…You were the only one to cheer for me. Thank you. Will you do it again?” “Do you… want me to? I won’t distract you?”
“No. If I win, it will be because you’re here.”
She smiles and Silco feels something break inside him. Sevika cuts their moment, drawing him back into the chair and forcing the ice pack into his hand again.
“Alright, very sweet, but we have only about a minute left. You keep icing. Hey, kid, I need two hands, you know how to align a broken nose?”
She grabs Jinx by the shoulder and drags her in front of Silco while she stammers.
“Sevika, no.” Silco protests, but she only draws her one arm around his head and pins it to her side. She ignores him, looking at the child.
“I’ll guide you. Both hands on either side of his nose, high up on the bridge, do it.”
“But…” Jinx’s hands hover. Silco tries to pull back.
“Sevika, seriously, no.”
“Look, if you don’t get it reset now, the doc is gonna have to rebreak it. You want that? Jinx, do it, fingers on both-."
Jinx grimaces with determination, presses both hands on either side of Silco’s heavily unaligned nose, and before either of them says anything, she snaps it left and down with a sickening crunch. Silco lets out a sharp, short gasp, trapped blood pours down his mouth.
Jinx steps back to free the space for Sevika, who gives her a surprised glance.
“Nice. Good job, kiddo,” She wipes off the fresh blood and tilts Silco’s face up, taking off the ice pack and inspecting his eye.
“Listen, you have two rounds left. You got him pretty good the last time. Don’t let him corner you again. Keep your guard up, move, clinch him if you can. How are the ribs?”
“Still good.”
“Don’t let him hit you in that eye again. Offer him your torso if you have to.”
“Excellent advice, Sevika.” Silco scoffs quietly, he feels drained. Sevika waves her hand in front of his face.
“You’re laughing but one more shot on the right and you’re fighting blind, boss.”
The announcer calls for the next round. Silco frowns, thinking. The vision in his right eye is getting very bad, his sight is dominated by the left one now - everything is turning red and blurred as his bad eye supplements the ‘good’ one.
“Sevika, give me that smelling salt.”
“ You really shouldn’t have two-”
“No matter, give it to me, before the damn referee looks this way.”
Sevika glances at the arena, fishes out one of the capsules, and hands it to Silco. He crushes it between his fingers right below his nose. The strong scent makes his head snap back, eyes widen.
He discards the shattered glass into the crowd, feeling his heart rate spike with adrenaline again.
“Good luck!” He hears Jinx peep behind him as Sevika drags her out of the arena again.

Arcane: League of Legends Zombie AU
So… I have literally no idea what this is. But I had the idea from Max Brook’s “World War Z” and really love zombie stories so here’s… whatever this is. This might turn into a full-blown story, but it might not. If anyone wants a part 2, just shoot me an ask with specific characters, and I’ll write it!
The virus comes from Noxus. Zaun is the first to fall, and the gates and bridges are shut, but the virus still spreads to those in Piltover through illegal smuggling. It isn’t long before most of the Arcane world has succumbed to the virus, and only those who went into hiding or are outright fighting the zombies survive.
VIKTOR only survives the initial panic of the zombie virus because he’s more intelligent than most. He is slower than everyone else, especially with his limp, but he’s scrappy, and more importantly, he’s a survivor. He survived the depths of Zaun and grappled his way to Piltover with sheer willpower and smarts. He’s also one of the only ones working on a cure for the virus, using a mixture of magic and science to try and heal people. In addition, he retrofitted his crutch with what’s known as a “lobo,” short for “lobotomizer” (look up world war z lobo if you want a picture), so he has some sort of weapon to defend himself in case the undead manage to get into his lab.
Tumblr media
JAYCE survives the zombie virus much like Viktor does. He works on the cure, but he also goes out with his brand new lobo and starts also helping the effort to fight off the infection. He actually comes up with the idea of the lobo. It’s basically a double-bladed axe mixed with a shovel, and it makes quick work of zombie heads. It takes some trial and error but soon, the lobo is mass-produced under his watch and distributed to any surviving humans. He’s absolutely deadly with the tool, but that doesn’t mean he likes to use it. He hates killing zombies, hates killing what used to be people. But in this situation, it’s kill or be killed.
Tumblr media
VI takes quickly to scavenging for food, tools, and a safe place to stay. She is perhaps one of the more prepared people for the apocalypse. She kills only when she has to. Mostly because she has to use her fists, and that’s just plain dangerous. But danger is practically her middle and last name, so she survives well enough. She ends up traveling with Caitlyn, and they have each other’s backs. It’s not the most ideal circumstance, but it works better than most because they trust each other and are excellent fighters. Vi also finds Vander’s old gauntlets in Zaun when she’s scavenging where he died and uses those to crush zombie heads.
Tumblr media
CAITLYN travels with Vi. Vi does most of the scavenging while Caitlyn keeps an eye out for zombies. She constantly has to clean and maintain her gun because, let’s face it, the world gets pretty nasty and gross after there’s no one to clean and support it. She also finds what used to be a sword and takes to using that when she has to get up close and personal. She isn’t the best at it, but it works in a pinch.
Tumblr media
JINX is a bit of a mess (when is she not?) when the virus takes down Zaun. Her Gatling gun is pretty much useless (what’s the point of body shots when it doesn’t kill the undead?), and she has to hide in her hideout in order to survive. But, once Jinx gets her hands on a lobo from a Piltover soldier, she goes on the offensive. She single-handedly racks up the most kills of zombies in the entire city, and when she moves onto Piltover? She is unstoppable. Especially if she uses the Hextech gemstone to amplify her attacks.
Tumblr media
EKKO manages to keep the only semblance of everyday life. He closes off the Firelight’s hideout and only goes out if he has a weapon (his preferred weapon is a lead pipe) and his hoverboard. The children stay home with their parents, and only those willing to go out for supplies go with him. He’s run into Jinx and Vi a couple of times and actually ends up recruiting Vi and Caitlyn to the Firelights, where they help make a difference and start fighting back against the zombies.

I gotta say, I REALLY love how you characterized Zel and Evi from you mama jinx au. But I'm curious, what made you go the route you did with the two since you worked from nothing?
Tumblr media
I like this one!
It wasn't one thing really. As much of a noob as I was---still am---at Legends of Runeterra, I enjoyed Jinx's deck build. Her cards feature Boomcrew Rookie and Zaunite Urchin. Of that playstyle, I found myself liking the two cards synergy with Jinx and their artstyles and VAs. Because I'm a nerd, I searched up their voicelines and learned a bit about the LoR lore regarding the sumpsnipe crew.
I won't go into details don't worry, but the lore is different basically.
But their summoning lines is what really got me. When Zel (I know I made up his name but that's what I'm calling him dammit) is summoned, he has three different voice lines, "I can do this!" "My first... big mission!" and "Of course I'm ready!" But his VA's delivery of those lines sounded more like he was psyching himself up and if you recall his Flavour Info on his card:
Tumblr media
it made me think of Powder in episode 3, and how desperate she was for her monkey bomb to really work. And then when you summon Evi and Jinx is already in play, Evi fakes a begger cough and says, "Anythin' helps..." and Jinx replies, "Stick your lip out and give 'em puppy eyes! Trust me." or "There's a blast from the past… welp!" and that also stuck out to me.
The fact that canon Lor Jinx got reminded a bit of her past with Zaunite Urchin and that Boomcrew Rookie had a similar bomb shtick, I thought it'd be interesting to delve into a story of following Jinx adopting kids who already lived in Zaun. Essentially pulling a straight up Vander on them!
Character wise, I worked with what I wanted. Evi's begger act being twisted into a pickpocket: she's good with her hands translating into a boxer fighter like Vi. Zel using bombs but also having this confidence issue: an aspiring inventor with a lot of heart and passion. As I wrote my story, I found these aspects evolving more and more. By the time I actually started posting, I had them all figured out.
Jinx, Zel, and Evi, one big happy family. ( ^‿^)
Until next ask,
- Bleh

Jinx | Sukuna Ryomen
Tumblr media
Part 3: Medusa's Snake
Beginning. ← Previous | Next →

Female reader being dom. Jinx AU (the BL, not the character from lol) Yuuji, Choso and Sukuna are brothers. Toji is a nice parent. Praising. Warnings: Cursed words. Mentions sexual harassment. Word Count: 2685 words. Author's Note: I just finished and I could finally write this *cries happily*
Tumblr media
Night was slowly falling over Tokyo. The small, cozy ramen bar stood out with its warm lights and glowing signs. The air was filled with the captivating fragrance of bone broth bubbling in the pots. The dim lighting enhanced the skill of the chef, whose expert hands moved gracefully as he masterfully prepared the noodles at the counter. The murmur of diners, mixed with the sound of steam and noodles cooking, created a gastronomic symphony.
In the middle of the stage, Yuuji, Megumi and I were there to relax after another day of hard training. The delicious broth and the comfort of carbs soothed the stress we had accumulated over the past few days. Sukuna and I have been training relentlessly for the past month for the fight that was coming up in a few days. Toji Fushiguro is a superb Muay Thai fighter, a real threat to a boxer like Sukuna. We had to be prepared.
"My brother didn't let you rest?” Yuuji asked me when he saw me stretching my neck with some help from my hands.
"Yes, he told me not to even dare to think about resting because he would kick me out of the gym,” I replied. The stress in my neck came back from just thinking about his tantrums.
I understood that he was nervous about the fight. He had an important title to defend, and every fighter in his weight class and in back-to-back weight classes wanted it. Sukuna is just a king protecting his crown, but this was already too much. All his tension was slowly creeping up on my back. I had to admit that his dedication is admirable. While we were eating a delicious bowl of ramen without worrying about ruining our diets, Sukuna was still training in the empty gym.
“Sukuna always acts like this. It only gets worse with every fight,” Megumi explained without looking away from his bowl.
“Doesn’t he have a hobby or something like that? If he keeps tensing his muscles like that, it could be bad in the long run.” I knew from experience.
“He does, but we can't help him with that.” Yuuji shook his head.
“What? Why not?” I asked. I was his coach, I should know.
Yuuji looked for a second at Megumi as if he was hesitating whether to tell me or not. It was little moments like these that made me understand why they were friends despite having two completely different personalities. They could communicate with just their looks and a few gestures. I wish I had a connection like that with someone. Yuuji let out a sigh and went back to eating, completely evading the question.
“Why don't you want to tell me?” I asked him directly.
“It's just… it's not like she relaxes with it. It's more like a good luck ritual,” he explained reluctantly.
Good luck rituals are common in any sport. There are soccer players who sing anthems before taking the field, baseball players who wear a special pair of socks, and fighters who tattoo talismans on their backs. I was used to that kind of thing, and I'm sure Yuuji was too.
“There's nothing wrong with that,” I said.
“It is because Sukuna doesn't know how to hold back,” Yuuji replied.
I could sense that he wanted to avoid the topic. I didn't know exactly why, but he must have had a good reason to do so, so I decided not to insist and continue eating, but we no longer conversed. It wasn't an awkward silence, we were just tired of the subject and needed to relax.
“Yuuji, she's his coach, maybe you should tell her,” Megumi commented after finishing his bowl…
“It's unnecessary,” his friend answered.
“Gojo knows about it, I think she should also know in case Sukuna tries something, don't you think?” With that comment, I knew that this was no ordinary ritual.
“You're right.” Yuuji sighed before looking at me. “The thing is… Sukuna must have satisfying sex the night before the fight for good luck,” he finally blurted out.
"That's not weird”. I commented before shoving another mouthful of ramen into my mouth. "Why didn't you want to tell me? You didn't want to embarrass your brother?”
“Because that's why he and Choso don't talk to each other anymore.” Yuuji brought up the story.
Days before the night Sukuna became the champion of the light heavyweight weight class, the three brothers had dinner with their parents. At this dinner, Choso excitedly introduced his fiancée. She was his love and pride, his better half. According to Yuuji, she was a very pretty and nice girl, and as usual, Sukuna avoided her like the plague because he was not interested in meeting her at all.
Since the championship was held in Las Vegas, Choso and his fiancée stayed in the same hotel as Sukuna because Choso wanted to show her how cool his brother was (despite being a complete jerk). The night before the fight, Choso woke up in the middle of the night and realized that his fiancée wasn't in bed with him. She wasn't in the bathroom, and she didn't take her phone with her, but she took her room key with her.
He went out to look for her and couldn't find her anywhere, so he went to Sukuna for help. As he was about to knock on the door, his fiancée came out of the room with her hair matted and her panties in her hand. He knew about Sukuna's lucky ritual, so he knew perfectly well what had happened. His fiancée cheated on him with his damn brother. Choso went crazy and jumped at Sukuna, but he knocked him out before he could do anything.
Choso woke up in the hospital bed with Yuuji next to him. According to him, he had never seen him so broken and betrayed in his life. He cried all night while his brother was preparing for their fight. He knew his brother could be many things, but he never thought he would be capable of being a traitor. Needless to say, despite everything, Sukuna won the fight.
"What a jerk.” I grumbled through my teeth.
"My brother doesn't care about anyone or anything. He can't be changed. I don't know where my parents failed in his upbringing,” Yuuji mentioned with a sigh.
"That's why you should be careful, Sukuna is capable of doing anything to win,” Megumi warned me.
"I'll keep that in mind. Thank you for telling me.”
The days passed and the fight was one day away. After a tedious trip to Dubai and a quick stop to unpack at the hotel. The team, Sukuna and I headed out bright and early to the official weigh-in with the fight referee and judges. After Sukuna had lunch, we headed to the exhibition weigh-in at the hotel's convention center. This is where the fighters must appear to be brawling before the fight to get the public's attention. There is also a press round for them to publicize the event during the day.
Sukuna, Gojo and I were called to the stage along with Toji Fushiguro and his trainers to be the next to go on stage. Sukuna was wearing his headphones and had a very unfriendly look on his face. Gojo asked him to take them off, and he did so between tantrums as I mentally prepared myself to go on stage. This reminded me of the good old days.
As we walked out onto the stage, the press cameras began to flash and the murmur of reporters manifested itself in the room. I kept my face as serious as possible as Sukuna and Toji greeted each other and prepared for the weigh-in. I watched as he took off his hoodie to reveal his tribal tattoos proudly to the audience. The fighters reluctantly greeted each other and stepped on the scales. The weight was somewhat different from the morning, as both had eaten breakfast at the hotel buffet. Toji weighed 220 pounds, while Sukuna weighed 215.
The audience applauded when it was announced that both passed the weigh-in. The only thing left was the press round. After Sukuna and Toji exchanged threats, all of us on stage sat at a long table. Two coaches between the fighters to keep things from getting personal. The emcee asked if anyone had any questions, and the requests bombarded him. The emcee decided to give the floor to the reporter in front of me.
"I have a question for the Medusa’s Snake! How did the man-hating former welterweight champion of the women's division become the coach of the champion with clear anger issues!?” The reporter exclaimed so that everyone present could hear the question.
I could feel Sukuna's eyes drilling into my skull for me to turn around and give him explanations on the spot. I carefully approached the microphone to speak loud and clear.
"I may not like men, but I like champions. I always belong to the winning team," I answered while the photographers kept flashing me.
Medusa’s Snake was the nickname I was baptized with in the first fight I had against a man in the gym I used to belong to. That fighter was a disgusting man from my past who harassed me in and out of the gym. He would always watch me, try to touch me and follow me home. That was until one day I asked him to train with him, since he was so interested in me. He agreed and during the fight he tried to touch my tits, that was until I kicked him and knocked out a couple of his teeth. He ended up in the hospital and didn't wake up until a day later. From then on I was nicknamed that way, and my brand as a champion was to be mean to men but honest with women. Which wasn't too far from the truth.
"How is your neck? Can you train the world champion in that state?!” Another reporter asked.
I used to be the world champion in my weight class until during my fight with Maki Zenin, I fell badly on my neck and tore it. I won the fight, but I lost a lot of range of motion in my neck. The doctor ordered me to rest for an indefinite period of time. It's been like that for three years now.
"I feel fine, but I'm not fully recovered. My focus at the moment is on doing everything I can to keep Sukuna as champion.” I replied.
"Mr. Ryomen! It is known that you are very strict with the people who enter your gym and that there are no women! Why the change?!” Another reporter asked. Sukuna took a few seconds to think about his answer, I could already imagine what stupid thing he would say next.
"I chose her because she is the best.” He answered without further ado.
A small smile infiltrated my face before I could hide it. That response caught me off guard. It was the first time Sukuna had recognized me like that. I'd be lying if I said it hadn't been nice to be recognized for the first time in two months of work. In fact, it's the first time I've been recognized as a trainer in a long time. Being a woman in a male-dominated world is complicated. You have to be good enough to be accepted, but not be the best so as not to overshadow any man with fragile masculinity.
After a couple more questions and an exchange of threatening hints, we went back backstage. We were about to head to the hotel gym to warm up a bit, but Sukuna stopped me halfway down the hall to confront me. A move that not only seemed strange to me, but also to the team.
"Are you a world-class fighter?” Sukuna questioned me. He couldn't be serious. I was going to answer, but Nanami stepped in.
"Didn't you know that?” He asked him to make sure he wasn't joking.
"Did you think we just brought you some random pretty girl so you could finally learn floor techniques?” Gojo interjected in amusement.
"I don't waste my time watching female fighting,” Sukuna answered, slightly blushing with embarrassment for being the only one who didn't know who I was.
"That explains why she beat you up the first day,” Itadori commented with a chuckle.
"I'm not surprised coming from Medusa’s Snake," Someone said in a thick voice behind us.
He was none other than Toji Fushiguro. A tall, strong and powerful man. A fighter easily recognizable in the crowd. If you put a bag over his head, people could still recognize him by his large physique. Unlike his body, his appearance was quite plain. He had a haircut that was not so long, but not so short. He wore a black sweatshirt, gray shorts and sandals from the brand that sponsors him. Despite his dangerous reputation, he had a pleasant smile, decorated with a small cut on his lip.
"It's nice to finally meet you,” he greeted me directly, completely ignoring his opponent.
It felt strange for him to approach me in such a friendly manner, but I still accepted his greeting. Megumi appeared behind him, looking like he was wondering the same thing I was.
"Do you know her, dad?” Megumi asked him in confusion.
"Do you remember the fight your cousin Maki lost three years ago?” Toji asked without taking his eyes off me. Megumi nodded. “She finished the fight with a perfect Kimura*, someday you should teach me how to do that,” he flattered me with a proud smile, but it vanished when Sukuna came between us.
Kimura: A technique whose main objective is to exert pressure on the opponent's shoulder and elbow joint to achieve submission in various wrestling disciplines.
"Not in your dreams, old man.” Sukuna barked with a frown. “She signed a contract saying she belongs to me, so don't even try.”
Seeing Sukuna so defensive about keeping me on his side was strange. After the last two months, he has done nothing but scold me every time I do something wrong in his eyes. Toji didn't even flinch at his threat. I poked him in the ribs to get him to step aside and let me talk.
"Thanks for the compliment and the offer, but Sukuna is the only one I plan to train until I get back on my feet. I plan to return to the ring soon,” I explained with a smile.
“I understand. If you change your mind, you know where to find me,” he said while pointing at Megumi. Toji approached Sukuna and gave him a proud smile. “Take good care of her, snakes are great at escaping,” he advised him with a wink before walking away with Megumi and the rest of his team behind him. Sukuna muttered a curse under his breath and let him go.
Two big UFC fighters had recognized me as a good coach and fighter on the same day. It was a big step for my self-esteem and my career. My heart was beating like crazy with excitement, and the smile on my face didn't seem to go away anytime soon.
“You're smiling like an idiot,” Sukuna scolded me.
"Can't I be happy that the heavyweight champion just complimented my skills?” I said as we headed for the exit with the others once Toji left our sight.
"That better be it, and you better not be thinking about going with him,” he challenged me.
"Are you jealous?” I joked while nudging him.
"Of course not,” Sukuna answered while rolling his eyes.
"Don't worry, just behave, and I'll still be yours,” I said in a mocking tone. I was partly joking and partly not. I really wanted him to behave.
"Nice try,” he spat before picking up the pace to go with Gojo, leaving me behind. “Worth the shot” I thought as I followed them.

Drew this art to celebrate finishing my Lightcannon fighter pilot AU, Fight and Flight. Then I realized that I forgot to draw one of Lux’s arms... Let’s just say it’s under Jinx.
Link to the fic is in my pinned post if anyone’s interested! (84,085 words, rated E)

Annotated Leif & Thorn AU
As I write these back in 2021, I’m trying to avoid any “present-day” statements about Leif & Thorn. Sure, my plan is to have it still running a long ways into The Future — but if I take that for granted in my writing, you just know that’s gonna jinx it.
That said, even here in The Past, the strips for Volume 5 are almost completely drawn! Barring any huge unforeseen problems, it should be launching on Kickstarter next month.
(Knock wood.)
So it seems like a good time to cross-promote with the annotated Crossover Art.
As of writing, about half these BICP characters have turned up in Leif & Thorn:
Katya (Kara Lynn): Embassy servant, turned out to be a pretty major character
Pine (Poe): recast as a minor miner, alongside Patrik (Patrick)
Briony (Bianca): still a Presidential archivist
Camellia and Lily: appeared among the Kolpovision contestants, along with cameos of Kaguya, Ilsa, Freyda, and a bunch of others
I’d like to use Ana Wagner at some point. Also, Strawberry and Morinda, though they’d have to be redesigned — right now, their outfits are “variations on Holly’s magical girl outfit,” instead of “unique homages to different magical girl series.” (Morinda is perfect for a Princess Tutu homage…)
Original character concepts:
Strawberry and Morinda: Both identified young as having serious magical potential. Strawberry is friendliest with earth spirits; Morinda has a strong affinity with water. They argue a lot about which spell techniques are most practical, most effective, and/or most morally acceptable.
Pine: Morinda’s patient and loving boyfriend. Totally normal human in this universe. Works at a wildlife center, rehabilitating injured birds.
Ana Wagner: Trade mogul from Leif’s home country. Always wearing classy furs. Has some lucrative business partnerships with vampires.
Katya: Embassy servant, same position as Leif, though she has different specialties. Taller than he is.
Briony: Works at the highest level with the Ceannic government’s technomagical databases. (They have computer-esque technology, it just all runs on giant crystals.)
Reseda and Lily: Separate characters! Twins, but not hard to tell apart. Reseda is the outspoken fighter; Lily is the mild-mannered dreamer.
Camellia (Torvald): Openly lives the bigender life, because this society doesn’t understand transness as something controversial. Work buddies with Reseda; met Lily in a literature class. You can imagine the rom-com mistaken-identity shenanigans.

marigold characters as miraculous like which character i want to see with what powers:
(i only watched the main series and the movie and the miraculous paris swap au special. idk the new york and shanghai special miraculous)
JINX - butterfly. betterfly made me realize a protagonist butterfly holder is such a good idea. youre using someone else to do your job but it's being used for a better cause. im sorry jinx you're literally the most special character in the world and yet i put you through agony so you can get hardened by the world but still choose to smile on. Would also be the guardian of the miraculous because torture and secrecy and feeling targeted by the entire world
KALI - fox. entire reason i made this post. kali is based on lila rossi but i actually get into Why she's so fucking Like That. her powers in universe are inspired by the fox miraculous. i felt it fits her. #girl
MARA - PIG HONESTLYYYYY.i dont know how to explain it something about the episode where rose first uses it reminds me of her. supportive type not a fighter
SASCHA - TURTLE METHINKS. not just because associated with the color green but being the shield to jinx's sword. Except in canon he's also the sword.
CARA - snake absolutely. Listen. i don't know. it feels fitting. do you guys remember the episode where adrian gets the snake and tries to use it to impress ladybug but then gets trapped in the time loop for 3 months? that's the kind of shit that would happen to cara if they had anything to do with time travel powers. bearer of the curse
FI - im still working on re-writing her but honestlyyyyy rn i'm feeling peacock. everything about mayura reminds me of her IDK. i dont fully know how i'm going to re-work her character but i do know she's fuuuuucked and pretty and purple
AERIS - bee. something about its role in the ecosystem of roles we have going here fits. disarming others to protect those she's fighting for
