Rundown on my AU Earth-1987

Heavily based around New Earth.. a continuation in a sense accept for a few changes

-Bart Allen is the big resurrection instead of Barry, Conners resurrection in Legion of 3 Worlds stays intact Bart continues as the flash and gets the title but keeps his impulse and old personality unlike fastest man alive, Wally gives him a made up oath and goes goes to retire to be a dad and raise the twins, Bart is unsure of his New position.. he reconnects with Carol Bucklen..

-Roy Harper continues as Red Arrow Cry of Justice simply does not happen and Lian is still alive, he will even go on to join the Justice League

-The Justice League will be very much led by Dick Grayson the line up will consist of

-Nightwing, Superman, Martian Manhunter, Troia, Red Arrow, Jade, Obsidian, The Atom (Ryan Choi), The Flash (Bart Allen), and a New Green Lantern (Terry Berg) more on him later, Firestorm (Ronnie/Jason), Kendra Saunders(Hawkgirl) and Cyborg(Victor Stone)

-Titans will mostly consist of the YJ characters except Bart the line up will consist of Red Robin, Sentinel (Kon-El) he will now move on from the superboy moniker and become his own hero, Fury(Cassie Sandsmark) will be trained by Lyta Trevor the Fury of the newly reformed Earth Two and the daughter of Wonder Woman and Steve trevor her and Conner will be dating once again, Ravager (Rose Wilson), Red Devil(Eddie Bloomberg), Blue Beetle(Jaime Reyes), Static (Virgil Hawkins), Aquawoman(Lorena Marquez)

-Gar and Raven will join JL Dark along with Zatanna and others

-Batman: Batman will run batman incorporated Duke Thomas will be in this canon and will have met batman during no man's land as opposed to Zero Year, he will be Cass' best friend and will become The Signal, Gothams day protector unlike main continuity he will not be in the Batfamily, he will be his own unique hero, Jason Todd will have his pre crisis origin and hair color.. controversial ik.. but for the sake of preference that will be so, he will be an anti-villain crime boss controlling the drug trade, him and Bruce won't be at odds with each other, he simply does not approve of the path Jay has taken and it saddens him, Jay cares about Bruce too.. but he has chosen this life he will still be with Scarlet, Stephanie Brown will still be Batgirl, Barbara will still act as Oracle, Joker will have the doll maker remove his face and the court of owls will be introduced as Justice League villains instead of batman villains, they will very much be a worldwide illuminati type organization Damian will still act as Robin the bat fam will just be smaller and have Bruce, Dick, Damian, and Steph

-Green Lantern: Hal Jordan will marry Carol and Kyle Rayner will lead the corps, the mythos will be explored more, Terry Berg will be given kyles ring after kyle becomes a white lantern, Terry is Kyle Rayners assistant in Winicks run he will become The fifth earth lantern, kyle and Terry will get more bonding moments.. Kyle and Jade will get back together and marry for real this time, Terry's character will be explored more

-Superman: Kal will lead the Supermen of America a new team, Chris will be living with Clark and Lois again, he will be attending college classes with Thara and will be best friends with Duke Thomas, their dynamic will be like a swapped version of batman and superman.. Chris being the more serious super and Duke being the lighthearted bat, Chris will be able to control shadows and darkness, Duke controls light, him and Thara will be members of the JL Dark, Thara will assume the civillian identity, Claire Connor Lang acting as Karas sister, Kara Zor El/Linda Lang will still be living with lana and be on her last year of high school she will meet and team up with Linda Danvers her predecessor and they will quickly become friends, Conner will still be in Smallville now going to school at Kansas State.. the same college Chris goes too Kon will see him as a brother/Cousin, and they will be a duo in themselves they will all deal with the repercussions of zods war on earth

-The JSA: It will very much feature mostly the children and grandchildren of the jsa.. the remaining founding members will pass on.. except Jay and Carter Jay will act as mayor of NYC quitting the team giving guidance when needed, the JSA Hawkman will continue on with the JSA

Flash: Bart Allen will now be the main flash.. he will not be so sure he can do it again.. he failed.. he died.. and failed.. he will reconnect with his old friends in Manchester now all adults, him and Carol's relationship will spark, now working for Star Labs, Bart will get a job as a reporter at Picture News with Iris and we will see their relationship more Rival will return still possessing Max's body he will be the first big bad and it will give Bart and Max the closure they deserve, him and Bart will speak in the speed force where he will call him son before passing on, we will establish his rogues, the old rogues will still be on, barts old villains will hoin in too including White Lightning, Irey will become Barts Kid Flash

Wonder Woman: Diana will be working for the government and working to rebuild themysciras connection to earth, the amazons tactics have changed no visitors are welcome, Cassie will unleash her Olympian abilities more, she will cross over to earth two and meet Hippolyta Trevor the Daughter of Earth Two Wonder Woman, she will take on the name Fury, while Donna has uncovered a prophecy.. depicting the rise of an old God long defeated known as Typhon the Enemy of the Gods

Green Arrow: Ollie will still be married to Dinah, Robert Queen II will join the arrow family, Roy will gain a bigger role, Olivia Queen will be born

Aquaman: Arthur will retire with Mera, Garth will now be the king of atlantis, but he will not be the Aquaman.. Koryak will be the new Aquaman, a more brutal aquaman, although meaning well, it will feel like a tale of two brothers, Garth and Koryak will constantly butt heads.. Dolphin and Cerdian will be revealed to have not died but survived the destruction of atlantis in infinite crisis having been taken by atlan, Cerdian will have aged to 10 having been in the pocket dimension with atlan so long... the family will be reunited at last.. Cerdian will become Aqualad

Captain Marvel: Billy and Mary go on a quest to get their powers back which they do successfully, Freddy and Kit Freeman reunite the long lost freeman Brothers together at last they go on a journey through hell together

The Lego Ninjago Movie but it’s a D:BH AU

@finn-m-corvex ask and I shall ramble :D

So basically— the Ninjago movieverse is styled like the world of Detroit:Become Human. Dr. Julien (who I hc in the m!verse is actually a good dad to his sons) builds Zane and Echo as the first sentient androids and takes great care of them— until his old coworker turns on him. This coworker, Jacob Harvey (nicknamed “The Mechanic”) captures Zane and wipes his memories while Dr. J and Echo manage to escape. Now armed with the plans to make nindroids, The Mechanic builds Cyberlife and starts his nindroid-selling empire.

He also has Cyrus captured to make more plans for him, leaving him with two assistant nindroids (Pixal “Pel” and Sentry, who obvious Cyrus goes “my kids now” and helps become deviant)

Zane was the original deviant in the sense that he was the original nindroid built to be sentiment and free (aka he didn’t need to be deviant), but after getting semi-reset he forgets and will need to become deviant to regain that ability

Now moving onto the others—

Lloyd is human (well, maybe still part oni-dragon because this IS Ninjago— the dragon is from his mom’s side, btw) and lives with Koko. Nya is his semi-adopted sister (Koko helps caretake for Maya and Ray while they travel on business trips).

Nya’s younger twin brother, Kai, is a nindroid (one of the “kid” models who’s specialty is “aging with human kids as a sibling so they don’t get lonely”). He originally does the chores at home because he’s expected to, but Nya and Lloyd help him become deviant because he’s scared he’ll get replaced if he doesn’t do the chores right. Kai’s the closest equivalent to “Kara’s story”, though less extreme, where Nya (who might secretly be a nindroid too, I’m not sure) runs away with him and Lloyd because a civilian finds out Kai’s deviant during the whole deviant situation and he becomes wanted.

(Side note— along with Kai came a 2-for-1 of the same model, a faulty nindroid names Kaigami who Koko took in for a while— this is the equivalent of movie!Bizarro Kai and later becomes the adopted sibling of movie!Cryptor)

Speaking of movie!Cryptor (or Zero, as I call him), he and Zane are the equivalent of “Connor’s story” where Zane needs to learn how to be deviant (again) while Zero is an incredible efficient deviant hunting nindroid (except, plot twist, he’s actually deviant and has been helping deviants escape for years by pretending to kill them). He was built by the Mechanic and he wants to take down his creator who sees him as nothing more than just a machine.

Rest of the Dorksquad time— Cole is human, though more of a cyborg after an accident (he’s kind of the ‘Cole Anderson’ equivalent, except he lives), and he stumbles upon Jericho by accident and befriends the nindroids there. He brings supplies from outside and updates them on news, and sometimes he DJs a bit for moral.

And Jay is the “Markus” equivalent. He’s an advanced prototype model that was gifted to Cliff Whoredon Gordon and worked for him for a little bit until he stumbled upon a meeting between Cliff and a mafia leader (named Master Chen). Cliff had him thrown to the junkyard in very rough shape where he managed to patch himself up with spare parts and was found and adopted by the young couple (Ed & Edna) running said junkyard. He then meets the rest of the squad and sorta accidentally becomes one of the leaders of the nindroid revolution as part of the “Secret Ninjaforce”.

Bonus— Chen (the Cheerleader) is also a nindroid who eventually gets kicked out by his human family, the Ambers (including movie!Skylor, who is an evil girlboss, and her dads, Master Chen and Clouse) and finds his way to Jericho as well

And yeah that’s the main basics, not too much else planned out yes (it was originally a SPBNR AU too, so show!Kai and show!Zane might show up, much to the latters bewilderment at how there are more nindroids but they are treated worse, and sometimes other show!nindroids make an appearance)

I'm currently rotating an AU in my head like a microwave. The premise is what if Superman actually died in Death of Superman and then Superboy had to try to fill his shoes for real. Steel eventually takes pity on the poor kid and becomes something of a mentor to him. Also he never gets the name Kon-El. I'm figuring out what his given name is, but he gets Irons for a surname eventually. I can share more as I cook it up if you want to hear

OUGH... kon & john henry is so fucking real. man!!! sad that he never gets to bond with clark but thats soooo <3 tbh he COULD still get the name kon-el via kara, potentially. if you wanted to swing it that way. everything w cyborg superman and coast city gets so much sadder if he doesn't even get to realize he doesn't have to be superman in the wake of it bc clark's back omg... oaugh.

9 Worst part of canon

I think it's universally accepted that what became of the war arc is the worst part of canon plot wise 😂 Madara should have stayed the final villain, and maybe not even Obito should have needed to exist? I admit I looooooved Tobi and was so disappointed when I realise Tobi was not a character in himself.

17 There should be more of this type of fic/art

Fics that are created based on an artwork. Very often in fic + art collabs the fic is created first and the art comes second, but I find a lot of power in creating fics from artwork - it tickles another side of the brain which does writers good. The result can be really amazing too!

Boruto era fics that take a definite stance away from the canon plot with aliens and create entirely new canonverse paths for the new gen kids. Basically writing a new shippuden for the kiddos without the Otsutsukis, Karas, cyborgs, aliens.

Adventure fics about Ino-Shika-Cho.

Real world AUs definitely not taking place in either Japan or USA.

So is Detroit Become Human a Ghost in the Shell prequel or alternate timeline?

Can androids lead to making human compatible body parts using the same manufacturing tech and turning the world into a place that glamorizes the surgeries?

Been thinking about what the Daxamite invasion would have looked like without Supergirl being a thing. Not necessarily the metallo!lena au, because that was a verse where supergirl exists but just never met Lena, if Lena was her same self just without Supergirl in her life and caring about her, I guess... the Daxamite invasion would have succeeded?

If nothing else, it would have lasted longer, and Lillian and cyborg!superman wouldn't have been able to save Lena. So basically I'm thinking about Lena being trapped on the ship with Rhea, while Kara is going out of her mind wanting to help but not being able to.

How would Kara finagle a way onto the ship in order to get access to Lena? Would she be able to save Lena without outing herself as a Kryptonian? Would there already be a Lena/Mon-el baby in progress?

I think that might be one of the few "Lena impregnated with daxamite baby" fics I'd actually want to read.

Like, pregnant Lena getting freed of the ship, and then having to hide so that Rhea (who gies nuts when Lena not onky absconds, but does so with the Daxam heir in her belly) doesn't find her. And then ultimately developing the dispersion device, and making the decision to use it even though she knows it could make her and her baby sick.

Also, I think Lena would try to keep the baby after the Daxamites all leave. Its circumstances are too much like her own (progeny of a violent, privileged family who didn't ask to be born) for her to abort. Plus she and it probably bonded during her captivity.

What do y'all think? It would def be supercorp. Well, technically more karlena than supercorp, since there would be no Supergirl. Or maybe there would be-- Kara becomes Supergirl for Lena, rather than Alex (who just wouldn't be on the plane to Geneva, thus not prompting Kara to break her cover).

The New Teen Titans Raven brings the team together, and everything changes.

Justice League International We could all use from laughter in out lives right now.

Wonder Woman: Gods and Mortals Post-Crisis Diana’s origin story.

Wonder Woman by George Perez Collects fourteen issues, along with bonus material.

Suicide Squad The original run, and also the best.

Nightwing Collects both the original mini where Dick settles into his new identity and investigates new angles to his parents’ murder, and the first eight issue where he acclimates to Bludhaven.

Robin: Reborn Collects Tim’s first appearances in Detective Comics and Batman before going into the first five issues of Robin.

Batman: Legacy You’ll want to read Contagion before jumping into this one, but I wanted to include it because it’s deeply underrated and has never been collected before.

Batman: Road to No Man’s Land The prelude to one of Gotham’s very best story arcs.

Batman: No Man’s Land The start of the latest, incredibly thorough edition of trades.

Birds of Prey The first time all of the original BOP specials have been collected.

Batman: New Gotham Greg Rucka explores a post-NML Gotham.

Batgirl: Silent Knight The first twelve issues of Cass’s series, plus the annual! Amazing deal, honestly.

We Are Robin With Bruce Wayne amnesiac, there’s no Batman to defend Gotham. Duke Thomas decides to do it anyway, and he isn’t alone.

Batman and Robin Eternal Cass is reintroduced to the DC universe. Azrael, too. (Look, I’ve got a soft spot for this dorky nineties disaster.)

Detective Comics: The Rebirth Deluxe Edition Collects the 934-949, which unfortunately means it stops right before the big anniversary issues that focuses on Cass (plus Jean-Paul and Luke being shippy as hell), but it’s still a good opportunity to jump into the team book she, Steph and Kate were part of when Rebirth started.

Batman and the Outsiders The team book Cass graduates too, after Tynion’s run on Tec is finished and Hill does an arc of groundwork. (Sadly not included in this trade, but I think it summarises the events pretty well.) If you too were pining for Cass and Duke bonding, this is the book for you.

Batwoman: The Many Arms of Death And this is where Kate went! Great writing, gorgeous arc, beautiful UST with Julia Pennyworth and a brand new frenemy.

Wonder Woman: The Lies Rucka revamps Diana in Rebirth.

Adventures of the Super Sons

Supergirl: Reign of Cyborg Superman Orlando’s Supergirl is very charming, and I think it’s a great way for someone to transition from the show to the comics.

Superman: Action Comics Clark and Lois try to raise their son in a universe that doesn’t belong to them, uncomfortably stepping into the roles of their dead counterparts.

Green Lanterns Simon Baz and Jessica Cruz make the most poignant, hilarious buddy cops.

Young Justice The gang is back together, and they’re drawn by Kris Anka!

Shade, the Changing Girl I’m running out of steam here but just trust me on this

Elseworlds:

DC Elseworlds: Justice League Look, I’m maingly reccing this for Elseworld’s Finest: Supergirl and Batgirl and Justice Riders, which they have very wisely featured on the cover.

DC Comics Bombshells What if a pulpy WWII AU focusing primarily on women that’s gay as hell.

Bombshells United A continuation that introduces the Wonder Girls, Dawnstar and Black Canary.

DC: The New Frontier Darwyn Cooke’s reimagining of the Silver Age.

Gotham City Garage Post-apocalyptic biker AU in which Kara and Babs are sisters and Barda has a mohawk. Not as gay as Bombshells, unfortunately.

The Legends of Wonder Woman A delight re-imagining of Diana’s origin story.

Sensation Comic Featuring Wonder Woman An out-of-universe anthology series. This only collects the first five issues, but look, one of them’s got Oracle in it.

Sandman: Preludes and Nocturnes I don’t know what makes the thirtieth anniversary edition different but I sure did buy it anyway. (Tragically, the originally run of Lucifer isn’t also on sale but look....still worth it.)

Swamp Thing by Brian K. Vaughan Starring Tefé Holland. the daughter of Swamp Thing and Abigail Arcane, struggling to figure out just what kind of person she wants to be.

Right as you got to work something fell off. You couldn’t put your finger on it and couldn’t find anything in the shop that could lead to it, but something just didn’t sit right with you. You walked around the shop, preparing it for opening, when you noticed the side windows being stained.

“The revolution was FAKE.”

The four words were painted onto the window in dark red graffiti. Nearly the entire window was stained with it.

You sighed. How had you not noticed that when you came in? Now you had to clean the graffiti off the windows — and before opening time as well.

You dialed your boss’s number, to explain the situation to him. He ended the call quickly with saying that he would be coming over to clean the windows for you, so you could finish starting up the store. But the off-feeling you felt from before hadn’t really passed at all. With unease in your mind all the way to fingertips you went on with what you started on.

Unable to put your finger on it, you quickly finished preparing and turned the ‘closed’ sign around to ‘open’.

“Good luck for today,” you whispered to yourself. You didn’t really know if you were ready to start working for today, at all, but you didn’t really have a choice.

The morning went on with ease. Kuroo hadn’t come around yet, but he probably had other things to do. A couple of near-human cyborgs had entered to get coffee aside from your regular human customers — the ones who weren’t in hiding from the revolution. Aside from the rumbling cyborgs it had been a quiet one.

And that’s when he entered the store.

Like the good barista you are, you looked up from the ringing of the doorbell. It resulted in an immediate feeling of the worst regret you ever felt.

What was he doing here? You furrowed your brows, noticing something was off around him. Why was he alone?

“What are you doing here?” you bit at him, voicing your thoughts.

“Well, hello to you, too,” he replied. “One regular black coffee, please.”

You watched him, not saying anything. Where are your bodyguards, you wanted to ask him. Why did you come here unarmed, you wanted to ask him. Aren’t you so special that you need bodyguards, you wanted to ask him.

But you don’t. Instead you put his order in the register and get started with the drink.

“Nothing to say?” you ask him instead, removing the coffee filters and adding in new ones.

“Can’t imagine why I would.”

“I can feel your eyes staring daggers at my back, so just spit it out already,” you spoke. You swallowed, hopefully not too loud, as you press the coffee button. The full sound of the machine filled the shop, giving him no space to speak and giving yourself some time to think. What could he have wanted from you?

The second the machine stopped he spoke.

“I don’t trust you,” he said. His voice as cold as ice.

You huffed out. “That’s it?” you spat out, putting down the coffee on the counter and meeting his eyes. “That makes the two of us.”

He pulled his head back a little, as if in disbelief.

“Why is that?”

“Could ask you first, since you started it, after all.” You leaned on the countertop, yours arms stiff but ready to meet his pretty face if he were to make one single wrong move. Your gaze rested on him, eyes strong and emotionless. “Well?” you asked him after he didn’t budge at all in your shared stare-down.

“Unbelievable,” he whispered.

It took you aback. You frowned. “Unbelievable?” you repeated. “What is?”

He moved closer, inching in on you and ended up leaning on the counter, reflecting your moves. “How do you even know my name?” he whispered again.

The question shocked you slightly. How… did you know his name? “I…” you started, but he interrupted you.

“My men couldn’t find anything on you and your family history — or history with me. So what is the deal with you? Are you some kind of a stalker fan?” His voice had turned up a little.

“A stalker fan?” By now, you should just get hired as a parrot. “I have no clue what you’re talking about.” The sentence came out as a question, more than a statement. You bit on the inside of your cheek, wary of what came next.

“In a sense, with you knowing my name — which is something I’m not going to say out loud,” he leaned in a little closer, softening his voice again, “because you never know who may be watching or listening in.”

You nodded slowly. You knew all too well.

“So,” he was stalling his question, and you were getting fed up with it. “We figured you belonged to one of the following options: you are either a stalker fan, or someone who can time travel or something.”

You bursted out in laughter. “A st-stalker f-fan! Time-hah! Time travel! Haha! You have got to be kidding me.” You wiped away a fake tear, slowing down your laughter. “I can’t believe that. Seriously, this is the most I have laughed in ages. You’re a funny one, Mister Jung,” you trailed your voice on the last words, articulating it clearly with your lips, only to try and get a reaction out of him.

But there was none. His face was set dead-serious.

“It’s got to be one of the two! It has to be!”

Staring at him like he was some kind of madman. That was the only expression you could give him. “And why is that?”

Before he could reply your head started pounding like crazy. He didn’t seem to notice, he was too busy trying to find his words.

Suddenly, a shout rang through your mind.

“You don’t have to pretend to be nice to me, just ‘cause you feel bad for me!”

You clenched your jaw. The shout was unbelievably piercing. Through your mind and ending its shot into your heart. It stang. Your heart started aching. You wanted it gone. And quick.

His frustrated groan got you back to your present self, forgetting about the stinging pain.

“I don’t know!” he bursted out. Your stare changed into a shocked expression.

You weren’t the only one being shocked by his sudden outburst, as he, in shock, slammed his hand in front of his mouth.

“Excuse me,” he murmured, quickly regaining his posture. “Forgive my loud action. I think it’s for the better that I’m leaving this conversation as is.”

“Riiight…” you dragged the word, “that might be for the better, alright.” You noticed the coffee — which was probably cooled down by now — and shoved it into his view. “Enjoy your coffee, if you still can.”

You wanted to tell him to not try coming back. He was starting to creep you out. But that was not everything. His expression even seemed to scare him, to the point of which he was losing his cool.

It must have meant something to him. After all, he came back to your café, unarmed with the over-protective bodyguards that called him ‘mister Jung’, but which was apparently not his name…

Sakusa, on the other hand...

Who even was he?

You watched his back leaving the shop. You bit your lip.

What did it mean? If it even meant anything at all? And what had that shout meant..? The voice that had sounded an awful lot like your own.

A hazy dream came into your stream of thoughts. The familiar male body you had dreamed about so many times, and your heart was aching. Your heart was aching so bad, as if it wanted to burst.

Your heart wanted out. It was needing an outlet. And that outlet felt like biting through your ribcage and your chest. It wanted out. It felt similar to the pain that came after that shout, but it also didn’t. The familiarity was so unfamiliar.

The pain was becoming unbearable, and you sank to your knees, hiding behind the counter of the shop.

You rang Kuroo up. He needed to come over and quick.

Fics that are created based on an artwork. Very often in fic + art collabs the fic is created first and the art comes second, but I find a lot of power in creating fics from artwork - it tickles another side of the brain which does writers good. The result can be really amazing too!

Boruto era fics that take a definite stance away from the canon plot with aliens and create entirely new canonverse paths for the new gen kids. Basically writing a new shippuden for the kiddos without the Otsutsukis, Karas, cyborgs, aliens.

Adventure fics about Ino-Shika-Cho.

Real world AUs definitely not taking place in either Japan or USA.

25 common fandom complaint that you're sick of hearing

"How everyone gets Kankuro wrong". I am over that, I've seen it too many times in a short span of time and I can't.

I take actively a stance away from all comparision of the female characters; who is "stronger", "more beautiful", "have more jobs", all kinds of power scaling in every damn social field. I think I'd kick the people behind those posts in the knees.
