Everything you could ever want to know about Fallout Lore: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL7pGJQV-jlzD17YNNbt103xp0PkkUCoPU
Thank you, I'll check it out! Last night I watched two videos about Fallout lore. One about each of the vaults and the experiments being conducted on them, and one about the Brotherhood of Steel hierarchy.
Speaking of, Lex is definitely High Elder.

What do think about this opinion: The most ideal time for Kara to reveal her identity to Lena would be at the end of 4x19, where Lena came clean about working with Lex to develop the Harun-el serum to save him from his cancer, because it would be 2 individuals coming clean about their respective biggest secrets and clearing their slate completely, once and for all.
Why: Lena was so afraid that Kara would condemn her for collborating with Lex and afraid that Kara would see her as evil for colluding with Lex that she had not been able to come clean to Kara for weeks and she had been torn about it, so much so that she broke down after hearing Dreamer's televised speech about revealing one's authentic self.
Hence, The emotionally charged scene at the end of 4x19, after Lena gained forgiveness from Kara for that secret that had been weighing on her for a long time would have been the perfect opportunity for Kara to quietly go: "Actually Lena, I have a secret that I should have shared with you a long time ago too." And proceed to reveal that she is in fact, Supergirl.
And Lena would be more amenable to understanding Kara's perspective because at this moment in time, Lena intimately knows the fear of potentially losing someone close to you should she come clean about a horrific secret, because she had been so scared to tell Kara this secret.
Additionally, Supergirl and Lena had made up about their differences about kryptonite and Harun-el just weeks ago in 4x17. (Supergirl: "Bygones?" Lena nods, smiling: "Bygones.")
You make a good argument. Very strong, and rather compelling!
But NOPE.
The absolutely best and only time Kara could confess her secret without anger/hurt from Lena is between S2/S3. I've said this before, but I have no problem saying this again--- the moment Kara knew Lillian Luthor knew her identity, she should have told Lena.
I think I said it in a recent ficlet as well. The moment Kara chose to continue the secret even knowing Lillian knew, she put Lena at a disadvantage. She gave Lena's family a weapon to use against her, to hurt and devastate her, ome that only increased in potency the longer she kept the truth from Lena.
So. Yeah. S2 finale/S3 premiere is the sweet spot. Anything after that, it's already gone on too long.

Okay, okay, look. I know that within the rank structure of the Brotherhood of Steel, it makes total sense.
But I still feel like the next rank up from Knight was meant for Lena specifically because of a random au I thought of years ago.
The next rank up is Paladin.

On the Slasher/final girl post, Lena would definitely be Samantha Loomis from Scream 5 & 6. In those films, Sam is the daughter of one of the original killers in the franchise (Ghostface) and tries to hide her identity because of it. She carries a huge amount of guilt about her family’s sins, despite not being apart of those acts, like Lena does. But her bio family roots always manage to get revealed after someone takes up her father’s old mantle (multiple times at this point). With her usually having to fight them to the death to save her friends and sister. There’s one scene in particular where she reminds me of Lena, where she’s fighting one of the killers and says “Never F**k with the daughter of a killer!” along with another scene where she turns the tables on the killer — using their own methods (re: her father’s OG methods) against them. With how she is always fighting to protect the people she loves, Sam definitely gives off Lena vibes in more ways than one.
This is a little late in answering, but I think I'll pass on Lena being a Loomis. She's def the OG final girl in her series, so to speak. Eventually I expand on this, so I'm not going to share too much just yet. But yeah... She's a Sydney Prescott for sure.

Headcanon: Kara is constantly trying to feed Lena 'cause she can count her ribs without needing x-ray vision and she thinks how hungry she must be.
I dunno if I like the term "feeding" for this. Offering/building experiences around food, for sure. Definitely viable. But I don't like the idea of "You're too skinny, eat this donut."
But also imagine if Kara assumes Lena is constantly hungry, and in reality Lena is just like "...no? This is just my body?"

Would love your insights on a random thought I had--let's say somewhere out there one of Lex's minions (Eve, Mercy, someone else entirely) gets pregnant. Exactly when in the Canon timeline may add dramatic flair (before or after Crisis, before or after Nyxly etc) but WHENnever it happens, the important thing is Lex is either still very evil, or very, very dead--which would send the mother of this new Luthor to LENA for help. And my question is this--would Lena accept this child with open arms, ready to be the cool aunt/guardian right away and give it all the love she never had...OR would she do everything she could to provide for the child anonymously in the hope that they would grow up free of the Luthor name (aka, curse)?
Welllll... first of all, I first read this as "every" Lex assistant gets pregnant, and that would just be. Woah. Way too much.
But in all honesty, I think it would very much depend on who was pregnant and what the child bearer's intentions are. Like... Eve asking for help raising her kid would elicit a very different response from, say, Mercy leveraging the pregnancy to get something specific from Lena.
So, hard to say in the broadness of this question. It also would depend when in canon this might happen. Too many factors to consider for a simple, concise answer.

This may not make a lot of sense, but something I love about supercorp fans is our ability to find the 'Kara x Lena'ness of literally everything. And I've seen a few snippets of pairings incorporating some of Katie's other characters (morgana, lucy, saskia, jules daly, etc) paired with Kara and have loved all of them! But here's my question, if we imagined ALL of Katie's characters/works as alternate versions/lives of Lena and looked at them with a supercorp lens, what versions of Kara would be their perfect match??? Like, would it be a cut and paste Kara or would someone like Jules probably be matched with a princess of Krypton type of Kara? Would Lucy Westenra need a Kara that went to work for Starr Labs instead of Catco? And Zara? What version of Kara would she fall for?? Sorry if this is kind of rambling, just thought it would be a fun thought exercise and your thoughts are always exquisite.
Honestly, I typically lean towards supercorp pairings that are within whatever universe we're working in. Like, Lucy would have a Kara from her time and place, Zara would have a modern Kara who's on the same corporate ladder goals that she is, etc. They wouldn't all tie back to the supergirl universe.
But that's just me. Everyone has their own preferences, so what you posit isn't bad, its just not something that excites me.
That said, your question has made me realized that I haven't really explored Katie's character from that weird south african actor/homesteader film. Probably because its not my favorite role hers, but hey. Maybe I could spin it into something that DOES vibe.

What’d you think would’ve happened if Kara would’ve gotten mentally-emotionally linked to Lena instead of Nxly? Whether it was in that point in S6 or earlier in the series?
I don't really remember the nyxly/totem stuff all that well, for reasons, but I think I have explored telepathy/shared emotions for supercorp already on here.
To put it simply-- all the depression, scoobs.

This may be a stupid question, but seeing as Kara's powers are so intrinsically linked to the sun and the witches in s3 even forced an eclipse to mess with her (and I guess the earth in general) would today's solar eclipse affect Kara? Would Lena know how to make her feel better?
This is a bit late in coming, but I've been thinking about this. I don't remember those episodes clearly, so did the eclipse canonically help or hurt Kara's abilities?
Personally, I think it would make her stronger? Because there were warnings that weren't just about the visible light spectrum, but about other wavelengths that could affect human anatomy. So if her powers work the way I understand them to, it would augment her powers rather than hinder them.
Thoughts?

Fallout AU with Esme as the MC: Esme is a Vault Dweller who changes the world because nobody who meets her can bare the thought of her being disappointed in them.
Cool idea but honestly not one I'd probably pursue. As much as I love Esme, I love the adults around her way more.

Blue and Fire Engine Red, Pt 2
Kara shuts the door of her car shut behind her, and smoothes her sweating palms down the front of her jeans. She should have stayed in uniform, she thinks. She’s no longer on shift, but she always feels more confident with a badge pinned to her chest. As it is, wearing jeans and a tee shirt, she feels exposed, as though anyone looking at her would be able to see just how fast her heart is racing.
But she’s come this far-- she can see this through. Exhaling deeply, Kara starts the short walk up the drive to the firehouse’s open bay doors. As she crosses the threshold sounds of activity fills her ears. She glimpses firefighters rolling hoses and mounting them on the engine, and others are buffing the chrome bumper of the ambulance. She catches the eye of one, she thinks she recognizes him from multiple calls– Brainy, she’s heard the others call him. He brightens at the sight of her, and to her horror comes trotting over to greet her.
“You are approximately 32 minutes late, Sergeant Danvers,” he says precisely. He clasps his hands behind his back.
“I–I’m sorry?” Kara asks. She hadn’t told anyone she was coming, let alone what time she planned to show up.
“Since I glimpsed you conversing with Lieutenant Reilly, I anticipated you would seek her out. Seeing as your shift ended one hour ago, and the precinct is 30 minutes from the firehouse, you are, by my calculations, late.”
Kara blinks. “There was traffic on the freeway… how did you–?”
“The lieutenant can be found in the gym,” Brainy clips, extending an arm towards the far corner of the engine bay. There, Kara glimpses a glass paneled wall and the outline of a pull-down machine.
“Thank you,” Kara issues numbly.
“You are most welcome.” Brainy then turns and returns to the ambulance and his chores. By now Kara’s thundering heart has climbed to her throat, but it;s too late to back out now that she’s been seen.
Kara wipes her palms again, nodding to herself. “You can do this,” she murmurs. “Look sharp, Danvers.”
Kara follows the hum treadmills and the clink of weights to the back right corner, where a glass paneled room sat under the spiraling staircase up to the second floor. There she stops, mesmerized by a dark swinging ponytail. Lena.
Lena running.
Lena running in a tank top and spandex shorts. Muscled arms swing in rhythm with her bobbing head, and Kara can glimpse round earbuds nestled in her ears.
She almost turns away, if only to keep from getting caught ogling. But a sweaty towel smacks Lena in the side of the head, pulling her attention to the young woman smirking off to Kara’s left. Nia, is it?
“Got a visitor, LT!”
Lena’s head swivels towards Kara without breaking stride. Her sweaty features brighten at the sight of her.
“Sergeant Danvers!” she chirps. She hops onto the strats of the treadmill, taking a moment to tap the machine off before stepping down entirely. She uses Nia’s towel to wipe her glistening face and neck, her breath huffing lightly. Kara’s mouth goes dry. “I was beginning to think you weren’t coming.”
Kara blinks, giving herself a little shake to re-orientate herself. Then she gives as easy a grin as she can manage. “And give up a free autograph? Not on your life.”
A smirk crosses Lena’s features as Nia steps up to stand at her shoulder. “Autograph?”
Kara plucks her calendar from her bag, giving it a playful flourish. Nia’s brow furrows, then lifts in delight.
“Oh my god! Miss March has a fan?!”
Lena turns towards her coworker with a roll of her eyes. “Nal…”
“Yeah?”
“Give us a minute, will you?”
“But–!”
“Nia.”
Nia sighs. “Fiiiiine…” She grabs her water and phone from beside the weight bench, and all but prances out with a smug, knowing smile in Kara’s direction. “Nice seeing you, Sergeant.”
They wait until Nia slips out, leaning them together with nothing but charged air between them. Kara gazes at Lena, who gives a soft smile in return. “Hey.”
“Hey,” Lena smiles back. Her cheeks are flushed, and Kara feels a glimmer of satisfaction at the thought it might not be entirely from exertion.
“So…” she says. “I have a place or two in mind for that drink. Someplace… friendly.”
Lena gives a slow nod. “I like friendly.”
“Someplace where we could get some privacy.”
Another nod, this time accompanied by a deliberate step forward. “Privacy is good.”
“And, ahhh… one of them just so happens to be walking distance from my place.”
Dark eyebrows lift in surprise, and suddenly Kara finds herself awkwardly trying to reel herself back.
“I mean, you know, in case we can’t drive after. I didn’t mean to imply– not that I expected… um, that.”
Pressing her lips together, Lena waits for Kara to talk herself out. It serves to jolt Kara back into herself; she chuckles. “You going to cut me a break here or what?”
“Oh, no, not at all,” Lena returns, grinning. “I’m curious to see how far we’re not going to go on this date.”
Kara laughs. “Okay, okay. Look– what I mean is that I don’t expect anything more than a drink to get to know you better. That’s all.”
With a slow nod, Lena saunters even closer. “Message received,” she murmurs smoothly. “That said…”
She leans in close, until Kara can smell the tantalizing tang of sweat and the subtle fragrance of Lena’s shampoo. Her heart pounds so hard there’s no way Lena can’t hear it.
“If any of that,” Lena continues, “were to follow… I wouldn’t be averse to it.”
Unable to help her answering grin, Kara cocks her head. “Well, before we even get to that, we do have one order of business to get to first.”
She flips the calendar tauntingly between them, even going so far as to let the thing tap against Lena’s chest when she waggles it playfully. Lena glances down sharply, clearly having forgotten the “true” purpose of Kara’s visit. She throws her head back and laughs a full belly laugh that turns Kara’s insides to jello.
“Guess I’ll have to rustle up something to sign that with–”
A marker flies out of nowhere, bouncing off of Lena’s chest. She fumbles to catch it, and Kara lunges for it on reflex. Their heads crack together audibly, and they both stagger apart, cursing.
“Jesus fuck–!”
“Godammit!”
Nia’s voice calls cheerily from outside. “You’re welcome!”
Kara locks eyes with Lena, who grimaces at her.
“You said something about privacy?”

I understand that more content with come with more seasons, but honestly if I'm confused about the world and the motives of the factions within it, it detracts from my interest in investing my time in further seasons.
Not a huge deal overall, bc the other aspects are so strong, but yeah... I don't like being frustrated by not knowing the things I want to know. And as a storyteller, I know they could have set the scene a little better.
Like, what does the Brotherhood *want*? How exactly so they plan to shape the world if they ever gained control of it? Who is the apex of their hierarchy, who gives the orders at the top? What did Moldaver have planned for her people after she juiced up the power grid? Did she plan to rout the rest of the vaults, or would she have remained satisfied with the wastelands?
Some of these questions could have been left as mysteries, like the leader of the brotherhood. But I at least want to know if they have a unified power structure across their various chapters, and whether there *is* a puppeteer, if they don't want to give away their identity.
I guess I just have too much experience writing stories in the sense I know what I want and that it was possible for them to give it to me without detracting from the overall plot.
Just finished the Fallout series, and I have to say I didn't get as much worldbuilding as I was looking for. The character development was great, and the plot was well-paced, but I still know next to nothing about the Brotherhood, or even Moldaver's people. I didn't need Game of Thrones level of intricacies, but I'd like to know the hierarchical structures and societal morays of the different factions at play.
In the end I guess it just means I can make shit up as I go, but a little more to work off wouldn't be unappreciated, you know?
