A glorious snowball fight amongst the Batfamily turns into a even more exciting day.
Batmom smiled seeing her daughter's many emojis in the family group message. That morning Bruce stood in the closet getting his warmer clothes on before joining his children and his father outside for the battle. Y/N was already dressed resting on the bed to wait for Bruce. He had her a comfortable chair placed outside safely placed outside of the line of fire. She yawned cradling her bump. Bruce stepped out seeing her already asleep. His face completely soften. He lightly steps to her. He kisses her forehead while touching her face. His beautiful wife was growing more exhausted with each passing day. It'd been a while since she was able to sleep so he certainly wasn't going to wake her up. He takes her Batman themed blanket laying it on her. She stirs in her sleepy state slightly. He gently rubs her thigh up to her bump. He always knew the perfect places to make her unwind from her constant aches and pains she couldn't reach.
"you get some sleep, I'll tire the kids out and tonight I'll take good care of you" Bruce whispered into her ear
After hours... The kids finally were surrounding Bruce throwing snowballs at him as their father laughed. Bruce threw many back at his children. Damian tackled Bruce and the Dick tripped him, causing Bruce to fall. He grabs a clump of snow smearing it in his son's hair. Bruce tried to stand as the kids threw many more snowballs. Alfred held his arms down while in the tree having seen Mrs Wayne by the door coming outside. He remains silent to remain hidden from his grandchildren.
"you'll never take me alive!" Bruce shouted playfully
They each continue throwing snowballs before the main target raised to his feet. Jason tripped his old man, Bruce bends his leg to trip his tallest son. Jason smirks as he leans back to make a snowball to throw at his Dad's face. Y/N steps outside seeing her family in complete joy.
"pregnant Mommy incoming! Hold your fire!!" Dick announced
Everyone quickly lowered their arms as Y/N came to the yard seeing everyone in the winter attire having been in a instance snowball fight for nonstop hours.
"oh dear I see you've been outnumbered Mr Wayne" she playfully told her spouse
"oh of course not, this is all part of my plan Mrs Wayne" he proudly stated back.
Bruce smiled genuinely moving to his knees, standing up to his very pregnant wife. He takes her hand in his own larger hand "how was your nap, Honey?"
"good, saw you all enjoying the fun and I missed you. So I thought I'd get some fresh air"
"I'm glad you did.." he smiled as he sneakily gives a snowball with a smirk
"Aww using me as protection I see" she whispered in his ear
She throws a snowball to Grayson's head.
"MOM!!!" he half-laughed half-appalled moving the snow off his face
Jason began to laugh but then she threw one to him causing everyone to laugh.
Stephanie gasps dramatically "traitor!!"
"well don't just stand there get the target!" Dick announced.
She laughs as Bruce takes her hand. They throw dozens of snowballs to their dad trying to avoid their mom. He lifts her into his arms and runs. He hides her behind the mini snow arsenal, as they kneel together. He then kisses her deeply.
"the troops are growing in anticipation for the battle to go on. I could use some coffee, I can take you back inside for you and the baby to have some hot cocoa?" he suggested messaging her shoulders
She nodded excitedly "please"
"good, Alfred?"
"I'll cover you sir!" Alfred promised.
The kids scatter as Alfred suddenly appeared ready armed. Bruce and Y/N locked arm's walking through the snow together. He leans over and kisses her forehead. Their steps were slow, considering the small precious baby she was holding in her womb. Her feet were in constant pain. Bruce smiles and lifts her up bridle style making her heart leap, as she softly laughs. He carried her into the kitchen and puts her safely onto the barstool. He leans down, to kiss her lips deeply with much passion. She wraps her arms around his neck. He parts letting out a deep disappointing grunt. She rest her arms on his neck smiling at his irritated expression. It'd been so long since they'd been truly intimate with each other.
"I know, I miss you too" she runs her fingers down his cheek and kisses him "just think, we'll be able to hold her any day now. Then after a little bit longer you can do whatever you want with me till your hearts content"
He touches her swelled bump lovingly kissing where their daughter stays for a short time "I can hardly wait to hold her"
He makes a cup of hot chocolate and a cup of coffee. She moved to her feet to walk her husband. She wraps her arms around him. He began to rub circles on her back. As the beverages were finished. He gives the mug to his wife. She gratefully drinks the chocolate heaven. Bruce took a sip of his plain coffee. She feels a sharp pain in her lower regions, she began rubbing her bump as her face tightened. Bruce takes her cup placing it on the counter. He lifts her into his arms and takes her to their room and sits her on the bed.
"I'm right here"
Bruce had already been counting her contraction. She repeatedly takes deep breath inward and outward. She inhaled as the pain slowly disappeared.
"five minutes..." he said
"five minutes. Is it time? Like right now?" she says with anticipation that turned to a more serious tone "I mean it could however just be Braxton hicks.. Again"
"let's not risk it. I'm going to go make sure the hospital bag has everything on the list. You'll be progressing slowly so I'll give you a bath while your in pain"
Outside the Batfamily all hear their phones ring. Stephanie leaped up.
"mom's in labor!!"
"woo!" Dick cheered, Jason excitedly threw one last snowball to his distracted older brother "ok" he wipes the snow off of his face "who did that?!"
"nows not the time babe!" Barbara announced to make her way inside with everyone else.
After her bath she stood in their bedroom completely bare. Bruce gently wiped her wet skin. Her contractions were getting closer together. He helped her dress into her clothes. He takes a wheelchair and brings it into the room.
"Bruce that isn't necessary.."
"it is.."
He takes her hands helping her stand up from sitting on the bed. He sits her on the wheelchair. Bruce takes the hospital bags. He pushes the handles making his way to the indoor elevator. He steps in as he pushes the button another contraction hits her hard. She winced cradling her bump rubbing it gently. Bruce holds her hand as she grips it tightly..
"I can't believe this is happening" she sighed
"you'll be OK. I'm not going anywhere" he promised her.
They made their way to the car. Alfred sat in the drivers seat with a genuine smile. The children all were by the car to bid their mom goodbye and to give her encouraging words.
"Aww kids" she smiled with her heart swelling for their support.
As Alfred drove to the hospital he couldn't help but smile remembering dropping Bruce and Y/N off when they were going to prom together. Now he could hardly wait to hold his new granddaughter.

Yay Some Jason and Barbara interactions!
Do you know if there any other comics where they interact either platonically or romantically? I’m a fan of both.
More Jason and Babs interactions for the soul!!
I don't remember them even having romantic interactions unless you count his one sided feelings on the Three Jokers comics. I'll tag it to their ship's tag, so if maybe a fan of the pairing knows something that I'm missing.
Here are my favourite platonic interactions:
Batman: gotham knights issues #43-44 (the first one takes place during Jason's robin days and the second one is about batfamily -Babs included- reacting to his death).
Task force Z issue #8 (Jason runs into various Batfamily members- Babs included- and addresses some of the issues between him and the rest of bats)
Batman:Urban Legends issue #1-6 (a Jason centric story where Babs not only provides help but also tries to remedy the relationship he has with Bruce)
Batman:Wayne Family Adventures episode 53 (a funny and fluffy situation where Babs discovers Jason's online activities)
Red Hood: Outlaws webtoon (it's established within the webtoon's canon that the two people who are always there for Jason are Babs and Dick. On episode #42, he spends time on their appartment and on the latest episode #47, he asks Babs help)
Batman Eternal issues #10-12, #15, #18-20, #24-28, #36, #41-42, #52(Bruce asks Jason look after Barbara who is trying to get her father out of jail. Jason also has feelings for Babs on this run )

Olay so i'll do my best to make this not SUPER long!!
1st Robin:Dick Grayson.For him,he stars in a couple of comic runs with his team the Teen Titans!There's the og run from the 70s,it's 80s sequel 'New Teen Titans' and another sequel called 'The Titans' from the 90s!Whatever you do,do NOT read his 'Grayson' and 'Nightwing' series,they treat him in a super nasty way,such as by being racist about his romani heritage!
2nd:Jason Todd.The best introduction to his character is the 'Batman:Under The Red Hood' and tbh a lot his comics stuff is...not very good cause unfortunately his team was poorly written asf so i think you should be good on understanding his character just by watching it!!
3rd:Tim Drake.He has a 'Robin' series from 1993,his team stories can be found in 'Young Justice 1998' and 'Red Robin' is fun too,which is about him taking on his own hero identity!!
4th Robin:Stephanie Brown.She started out as Tim's love interest who evolved into a solo character so you read Tim's Robin run for her too and she has a solo run called 'Batgirl 2009'!If you end up liking Timsteph,they have a onehsot dedicated to their relathionship called 'Robin/Spoiler 2008'
5th Robin:Damian Wayne.Sadly,his story has a lot of anti-arab racism in it so i will give you the ones that are mostly clear of it!'Son of Batman' is a miniseries about him and 'Supersons' is about his relathionship with his best friend,Jon Kent!!
There's actually a 6th Robin called Duke Thomas but DC is on and off with wether he's an official one or just honorary.If you're interested in him,his runs are 'We are Robin','Batman and The Signal' and 'Batman and The Outsiders'
For all of these,you can find them for free to read online on 'readcomicsonline' and there's a webtoon of them and their adoptive dad + their adoptive sister called 'Batman:Wayne Family Adventures'!!

I’ve recently gotten into Webtoons - it might be a new obsession. I want to share my favorites with you in hopes you send me some of yours. Looking for recs here people!!! And someone to scream with these about - tell me your thoughts!!
These are in no specific or see because to try and put them in order would take my neurodivergent ass 3 days.
•Purple Hyacinth - I love the story, the characters, Kieran is gorgeous and I’m loving the suspense!
• Unholy Blood - Late to the game on this one but I was so into it. Doing my daily pass and three ads EVERY DAY. Also - the Detective, Hayan, and Vael (until the epilogue haircut) were gorgeous. Vampires are a fantastic genre. And Daniel!
• Everything is Fine- Everything is absolutely not fine people! This one is wild and I had to take a bread because it got a bit creepy even for me. But also I thought they were bear heads. When I found out they were cat heads I lost a bit of interest.
• Batman:Wayne Family Adventures - the first WEBTOON I started reading. So wholesome.
• Lore Olympus - another classic. I’ve noticed after I’m done binging and have to go week to week with any of the comics they become a little less interesting. It’s the same with this one - or maybe it isn’t as good? I can’t tell.
•Planetarium - this is a newer one. I’m enjoying it but it doesn’t update very often so there’s that.
•Realta - such a good one with a really great story. Loving the concept of the astrology signs.
•Suitor Armor - How could I forget??? I binged this one like crazy too. What a sweet, aware, robot, suit of armor thing!

Jason's pre-reboot Robin days!!I know a post that has all the issue numbers for them so i'll tag you in it in a bit!Also,for more Jason,the Batman:Under The Red Hood movie is a great introduction to his Red Hood days!Unfortunately,the comics series' with his team are not very good😭Especially the og,which screwed over two characters from Dick's generation just to prop up Jason,so i recommend avoiding it!On other runs that are not worth reading,Tom Taylor's Nightwing and Teen Titans 2003(if you'd like to know why,feel free to ask!).Jason had a run called 'Lost Days' that was pretty good for the most part but put him in a relathionship that was...nasty to say the least so if i can find the issue in which it happens,i'll tell you so you can skip it!
Batgirl 2000,which is about Cass!And Stephanie's run is also extremely good and that one is from 2009!
Tim's runs,Robin 1993 and Red Robin!Also not exactly Batfam but the Young Justice 1998 comics with his team are super good and i think it seems your style!
We Are Robin and Batman and The Signal,which star Duke as the first black Batkid!!
Son of Batman,a miniseries about Damian!Be careful with seeking out most of his stuff,cause there's sadly a lot of racist undertones with his writing,especially his mom Talia :/
Bruce has a LOT of content(naturally)but a fantastic introduction to his character is the newest Batman movie with Robert Pattinson!!Battinson my beloved <3
I'm not that well versed in Dick outside of the Teen Titans and the other Batkids stories tbh BUT i can definitely try to find a good reading list for you!!And for lighthearted stuff,there's Batman:Wayne Family Adventures!If i'm being real,the characterization of the Batfam in it is sometimes off but it's definitely a very fun and sweet read!

Jason's P. O. V
I can't. I have to get away. I step through the alleyway. I need to get somewhere safe. I need my wife. I need Y/N. My breath became rapid. No. No! No! Not him. I don't want to go back there, I don't want to think about him. Please don't make me remember him. I loose my breath as I get to my motorcycle. Fuck, I can't drive. I start to shake. I helplessly sit on the ground leaning against the motorcycle. I crouch up holding my wrist tightly. It's.. It's too much. I feel so scared. I hear his, laugh. The crowbar sliding across the concrete. I could never forget that sound. I can't do this. I can't go back. I feel my chest is tight. My hands are pins and needles. I see with him with his crowbar swinging to me. I jolt back seeing someone by me. I try to calm down. I don't want anyone to see me like this. See me so.. Broken.
"Jason look at me" I look at him still defensive with my arms.. It's not real.. I'm safe.. I don't feel safe "easy champ it's OK" he kneeled beside me "it's OK son. Let's take this off"
He takes my helmet off I couldn't look at him. This is too much. I can't do this. I can't go back.
"please look at me" he pleaded
"I-I can't... I can't" I look at Bruce feeling defeated.
"it's going to be OK, you're going to be OK" Bruce encourages me
Y/N's P. O. V
I stir in my sleep hearing my phone. I look Bruce! I quickly answered knowing at this hour it can't be good. Please be OK. Please be OK. Please be OK.
"Bruce? Is Jason OK? Is everyone OK?" my heart instantly beating fast as I am fully awake now.
-"Jason had a panic attack, he's stable and asleep now"
"I'm coming!" I said yawning moving my covers to get out of bed.
-"Y/N you have a 13th month old daughter and a seven year old son. You all need a good night's rest and first thing in the morning you should come here"
"o-OK" my heart is breaking I can't be there for him.
-"he's OK Y/N. I'm looking at him right now"
"I know.. Goodnight Bruce"
-"goodnight Y/N"
Jason's P. O. V
... I feel my head throbbing. What happened? I reach my hand to hold my wife but feel nothing. I open my eyes feeling whole body is heavy. I feel a thick comfortable blanket on me. I'm in my old room? What the hell am I doing here? I groan feeling my head pounding. I look seeing Bruce standing by me. Shit.. Now I remember what happened.
"you're ok son" he told me, touching my shoulder "you had a panic attack earlier this night... Are you feeling OK?"
"... I don't know.. Is, Y/N here?" I'm so tired.
"it was 2 a:M when I called her and I told her to stay home until later this morning" he informed me.
"good.. " I sigh defeated
"get some sleep allow your body to rest and I know you will be OK, by the morning"
".. I can't keep going through this.." I just want my wife.
"I know, but you're safe.. That's what matters" he said kissing my head.
I still forget he cares about me sometimes. It's around 5 a:m when I get out of the bed and begin walking slowly through the Manor. I feel so fragile. I'll close my eyes and be back there. I'd been fine for a few months. Then just one sound sent me back. I sit in the dining room upon Alfred's request. I look at my phone. Y/N had texted me.
(Y/N) ~goodnight babe see you when you get home~
(Y/N)~I heard you had a bad night I'll be there with the kids as soon as I can🥺🥺🤗🤗🤗🤗❤️❤️❤️❤️~
I texted back that, I love her. I inhale deeply placing my open palm on my head feeling, exhausted. She couldn't get here soon enough.
Y/N's P. O. V
I drive to the Manor with my children in the back seats. I pull up seeing my older brother Grayson. He smiled waving to me. I waved back parking the car and cutting off the engine.
"uncle Grayson!" Tyler exclaimed jumping out the car to hug his uncle.
Grayson picked him up off the ground and hugged his little nephew.
"hey lil' buddy! I've missed you kiddo" Grayson said rubbing his back.
I open my car door Grayson gave me a reassuring smile.
"I missed you too uncle Gray.. Is my dad OK?" he asked
"he's doing OK pal. He's just inside waiting on you! But first let's you and I eat some cookies before they disappear!" Grayson suggested.
"yes!!" Tyler exclaimed.
I step to get my baby out of the car seat. Grayson walked to me and places his hand on my shoulder.
"he's inside the living room right now. I can get little D/N" he offered.
"thanks" I replied heading straight for the door.
I went inside and walked upstairs to the family room. I look seeing my husband. He eyes were tired from lack of sleep and his drained expression breaks, my heart. He was depressed from having to relive his trauma. He looks at me and smiled softly in genuine relief. I walk to him sitting beside him. I pull Jason into a heartfelt hug, close to me. I lean back to kiss him deeply. He parts laying his head in the crook of my neck. I put my hand under the blanket, and under his shirt, rubbing his back. I hear his breathing begins to calm down in my touch. He takes a deep breath forcing his emotions to calm down.
"you don't have to talk about it. I only want to be here for you"
"can you let me lay with you babe?" he asked resting his forehead on my own, taking a deep breath.
I answered as I lay back onto the pillow that was rested on the arm of the couch. I pull him to me letting him lay on my chest. Neither of us got any sleep last night.
Bruce's P. O. V
I held my little granddaughter walking through the hallway. She had Jason's hair with a small faint white streak. She rested her head on my shoulder. She wore her Batman themed outfit. She was precious. I remember thinking I would never get the chance to hold her. When Jason was taken away from me I thought he missed so much in life. He'd never be with Y/N and they would never have the life I wanted for them. He still lives with his trauma but he's coping better than I ever could've hoped for. I feel proud. Y/N saved him. I step into the family room. I see both of them asleep together. I softly smile. I use one hand to adjust the blanket to lay more properly on them. D/N begins to softly coo seeing her parents.
"shh their sleeping" I coo to her "let's go sneak past grandpa Alfie to the kitchen and sneak into some cookies" I whisper "that sound like a plan?"

I like how Barbara was such a proponent for second chances and the latest WFA focused on choices. The Birds of Prey being a team of characters who were in the dumps and needed a second chance that Barbara gave them and once they were on their feet they moved on was pretty cool. I've been playing around with the idea that after the events of Under The Red Hood Barbara would have found Jason and after tying him up to a bed so he doesn't escape gives him a choice to join her team. I would have had Barbara play a part in the events before with having Jason and Barbara anonymously communicating with each other in a game of cat-and-mouse until the end when Barbara figures out who the Red Hood is and finds him and gives him that choice. This is an arc I would have loved to have seen
Babs always advocates for second chances and that's so great of hers!!
And I love your idea of also giving to Jason a second chance. He doesn't even have to permanent join her team if he doesn't want to. Even if he decides to co operate with Oracle and the birds of prey that would be enough for Babs to help Jason.
I think it would be an interesting arc explored in an au comic. Unfortunately, dc denies Babs even her place within the Birds of prey team ( see the latest announced comic in which she's not part of the team) so I doubt they would develop such interesting au.
Batman:Wayne Family adventures is the only comic where we can still see Babs being her caring and helpful self towards Cass, Steph, Jason and various others.
