For Wen Kexing and Zhou Zishu:

you've got the founder of the fantasy ancient Chinese CIA and the leader of what is essentially the mafia and then they're soulmates and in love. they're both willing to kill anyone who dares hurt the other while also just wanting a soft domestic life together

Zhou Zishu is an assassin and spymaster who put the current Emperor on the throne, and then quit his job by faking his death (kinda, hes still dying but not as fast as he was supposed to). Had done A Lot on his old job, including murdering children (more than one, and at least one of them in a way I can't even describe without several trigger warnings), exterminating whole families, war crimes (and i dont mean this in a buzzword way, i mean "organized a public execution of foreign diplomats during war time")… btw he doesn't feel particularly bad about any of this, because he believes it was necessary. Like he wouldn't do it for fun, but he thinks the ends (putting a good Emperor on the throne) justified the means (all of the atrocities). As a retiree, he definitely cut down on the amount of morally reprehensible murder, but not murder in general. He still routinely kills ppl, he just doesn't go out of his way to kill more. Wen Kexing, meanwhile, is the Ghost Valley Master - Ghost Valley being a place where the worst of criminals are exiled. Even in such a place, he has reputation as a complete lunatic, owed partially to the fact that he either skinned a man or fed him his own flesh or both at one point, and partially to him having a rule where he would kill anyone who came closer than 3 meters to him. But in truth, everything he'd done was to survive the Ghost Valley and eventually take revenge for his parents, who were brutally murdered when he was only nine. By the start of the novel's timeline, he put his plan in motion - the plan that would drown jianghu in blood, but also deliver poetic justice to all responsible for his parents' deaths, as well as all who'd commit the same crime given the chance. And these two men, these two murderers and schemers, meet - and unexpectedly, find in each other the person who /understands/. The person who is just as ruthless and whose hands are just as bloody, but also the person who knows standing at the top of the world is not worth it, who seeks the same freedom of leaving it all behind, and who is still, underneath it all, a human, with human heart seeking connection. So you have this couple who understand each other with barely a word, and who want the same things - who are so hungry for domesticity and for people they can just goof around with when all their lives they had to measure every step and word - but ALSO where one half a couple is like "i gotta go murder hundreds in revenge" and the other half is like "ok pick you up at 6". (This btw is why I'm submitting novel's iteration of the couple in particular. Show wenzhou with their ridiculous breakups over morality could Never.) Also they were both hiding who they are when they first met, and later flirted about having figured each other out. Finally, I'll leave you my favorite quote that just. perfectly sums up their relationship: "And just like that, they fell asleep in each other's arms, steeped in the smell of blood."

You’ve probably already had submissions for them but I’ll add on. One of them founded an assassin’s guild and killed a staggering number of people. His malewife is the leader of a sect of insane murderous outcasts, and he attained his position by proving to be the most crazy and murder happy of them all. Most of the plot involves him wandering around watching his schemes get more people killed. Together they adopt a kid that was only orphaned due to said scheming (oops). They’re terrible and I love them.

Rewatched some scenes and the Mindflayer is Henry's own shadow time loop/paradox theory is soooo real!!!!!!!

Eleven is the one that "made Henry" because she sent him back in time in that place and she either separated his mind or he's the one that creates with that alien the symbiosis so he now has transferred part of his own consciousness inside that shadow and he knows his own child self is gonna arrive there... Maybe even because he's the one to kidnap himself ???

And so he sends part of his "001" self that's grown angry at Brenner's abuse inside his child self that's just a normal kid that wanted to stop feeling powerless.

So he creates himself! but he says to El that she did because in a way she's the one sending him back in time and it's all a loop... he literally is being controlled by his own shadow making a great metaphor of succumbing to anger and resentment and becoming the worst part of ourselves because of trauma AND the choices we make once we have part of the control

which is also why they keep calling him a psychopath because that's the metaphor they want to portray through the supernatural

some part of him that started growing after a traumatic event (portrayed by the 12h in which he goes missing in dimension X) made him change and lean into trying to find control

and he ended up doing things like having fights if provoked and killing animals etc to satisfy an urge ( the shadow ) that in a way he can't control (which is literally what happens with ppl that have that propensity because it's something they don't have control over + they get traumatized when very little like to him it happened when he was 7 )

Then he also is unlucky and doesn't find a support system around him ( except Patty ) and even if they do have their reasons to being scared because society in the 50s is what it is and mental health is not an argument they know about they are too scared of him to protect him from this urge when he's just a child and end up bringing him to Brenner hoping that he could have the cure... instead of really helping him Brenner uses him for his own benefit, being a representation of "doctors" in that time and how they treated mental illness not with real care but to make money or just satisfy their own curiosity about the unknown ( Brenner wanting to cultivate his powers to open a gate to the unknown Dimension X following his father's last words ) resulting in more abuse

The first (001) shadow may have more meanings than we think because the shadow is 001 !

All of this because of Brenner's abuse and the cycle of HUMAN abuse and not an evil alien with no clear reason to be!!!!

Bro i am confused by this fandom lol. Why are we even saying Billy is worse than Hnry when Billy was one of his victims? The dude literally spelled it out and threw it at Max's face too when he was killing her. I need ppl to be serious.

It's weird to acknowledge that using a term like psychopath to label people can be problematic and that Conduct Disorder is heavily loaded with stigma by the general public and then just...

...apply that to a teenager actively surviving abuse while being very forgiving to a person with a patterned behavior of blatant disregard for the rights and autonomy of others.

There are a multitude of mental illnesses that also include risky and reckless behavior which better explain what's going on with Billy than labeling him with Conduct Disorder because he's mean.

Filming has felt like it’s been going on for ages. It honestly felt never ending! And as much as you loved your co-workers and never wanted to leave them, filming a superhero movie is hard work.

You even had your 16th birthday on set. Sebastian Stan and Chris Evans were the ones to set up this whole surprise impromptu sweet sixteen for you. Well, as sweet as a sweet sixteen can get on a professional and incredibly expensive set. But the cheap dollar tree birthday decorations fell off all of the surfaces long before anyone had to worry about damaging any props by taking them down.

They even invited your boyfriend! You avoided talking about him on set because you don’t want to appear unprofessional. It’s difficult enough being a teenage girl in this industry. However, Chris and Sebastian are different from anyone you’ve ever worked with before. And definitely different from your average man.

They dragged it out of you after they saw you smiling at your phone. And you told them all about it, Sebastian literally sat on his stomach on the couch in your trailer, kicking his feet back and forth. And Chris sat on your ottoman smiling fondly as you spoke about your boyfriend, the love of your life.

“We met in middle school. In detention,” You mutter quietly, your cheeks flushing pink.

Chris widens his eyes and side glances at Sebastian. You keep your gaze averted to your hands in your lap, playing with your old, chipped nail polish. “Ooh, a bad boy,” Sebastian lightly teases, sensing the shift in the once comfortable environment. “Why were you in detention?” Chris offered with a light smile.

You glance up shyly. You've missed this, being able to be a normal teenager who could sit around with her girlfriends and gossip. Well, Sebastian and Chris weren’t the ‘girlfriends’ you’d made in high school, but they definitely would make do for however long it took to film this godforsaken project. “He spent every Friday after school in detention. He was aggressive, he was a bully, and he would hit his friends just for fun. During free period, my classmates would tell me he killed frogs and rabbits and stuff,” You gush about him with an aura of such delight, but as you progress further into your love speech, you become disgusted with the things you’re saying, and your blind love starts to wear off.

“Anyways, I told off my PE teacher just to be with him in detention. Also, I was just starting my period and he wouldn’t let me sit out, so,” you trail off awkwardly, looking down to your hands to play with them again. An attempt to avert the attention away from your possibly psychopath boyfriend.

Chris and Sebastian are quiet for way too long, but you’re too scared to look up and meet their eyes, scared you’d said something wrong. “How long ago was this?” Chris finally questions quietly, you look up at him and Sebastian, seeing their concerned eyes fall upon your unknowing gaze.

“We were fourteen. He’s not a bad guy. He just had… issues as a kid. His parents were getting divorced and stuff…” you reassured them, guessing what they were thinking from the looks on their faces. You’ve had this talk a hundred times before. With your parents, who have never approved of him. And your friends, some of whom you lost because of your boyfriend. But you figured it only brought the two of you closer together, even if you painfully lost some of your best friends in the process.

“Aren’t your parents divorced?” Chris hesitated softly, you nod with a confused look on your face. “Did you ever punch your classmates in the face?” Sebastian adds. Suddenly you feel very defensive over your boyfriend. He’s had hard times in the past, but no one knows him like you do. No one understands him like you do. No one loves him like you do.

But you can’t articulate any of those feelings, nothing comes out. You open and close your mouth several times to say something, like a fish. But you can’t think of anything, your mind draws a blank. Finally, something; “This is unprofessional. I’d like you to leave.”

At your sweet sixteen, Sebastian and Chris had the pleasure of spending time with your boyfriend before you had arrived. Inviting him a little earlier than the rest of the guests. You spoke so highly of him, they figured he felt the same way about you. So they figured he’d know you so well, and he’d like to help set your party up. Only the best for their collective y/n.

When he strolled onto set with both hands free, shoved into his pockets, Sebastian nodded up to gesture and show Chris he was approaching. No words were shared, but the silence said enough as they watched the boy approach them, looking judgemental and smug as he glanced around the room at the cheap decorations.

He nodded his head to the men as he approached them, as his way of greeting them. They glanced at each other before Sebastian spoke, “hey, I’m Sebastian. This is Chris. You’re Jacob?”

“Yeah,” Jacob simply spoke. Not meeting the man’s eyes, seeming extremely bored and uninterested with this conversation and this environment.

“I’ve heard a lot about you, man. It’s great to finally meet you,” Chris added happily, holding his hand out for Jacob to shake. Jacob pressed his lips together in a smile and nodded.

Chris furrowed his brows and held his hand out for a moment longer before bringing it down to grab a piece of tape to attach to a streamer. He kept his mouth closed for the time being.

Sebastian scanned the boy, “gifts or cards or whatever…” he paused, his eyes searching for any sign of anything that could be your type, “you can put them over in that basket.”

Jacob finally opened his mouth to form a sentence, a very bold one at that, “Oh, I’ll give her a present tonight. At her hotel.” He smirked, meeting the both of the men's eyes.

They both paused what they were doing to stare at the boy, speechless. Sebastian’s mouth agape, “We stay in our trailers on set, we don’t have hotels,” Chris explained as he narrowed his eyes and stood up straighter, confused by what this young man might be insinuating.

“Well then, when the trailers ‘rockin…” he courageously esponded, with a daring and fearless tone in his voice. Sebastian bit back the urge to allow his entire body to shiver at the conversation they were having with this boy, who’s conversation could only be held by the topic of sex. And in the context of y/n? They weren’t liking this, not one bit. Especially with the prior knowledge you had informed them of.

Thankfully not long after, more guests started to arrive, and they had other things to focus on, more people to greet, and Jacob moved onto Better things. Tormenting other people.

Further into the night, neither Sebastian nor Chris could shake whst Jacob said to them about you. Neither of them mentioned it to each other, but they had a hard time focusing on anything else.

When you arrived, completely shocked and so thankful, they put on a beautiful front. You didn’t suspect anything was wrong with them. Perhaps because you were so wrapped up in the beauty, the happiness, and the thankfulness because of your coworkers, but also the stress you were automatically filled with when you locked eyes with your boyfriend.

Jacob walked over to you, as you stood in the middle of the room, and he grabbed your waist tightly. He instantly shoved his lips into yours, and forcefully kissed you in front of everyone, all your coworkers, your friends, And the staff and directors and those alike. Those you tried so hard to be professional around.

So here you were, in quite the predicament. You loved your boyfriend, and knew what would happen to you if you made him unhappy or said no to him. But you also had a job to keep, a reputation to withhold, and you were only a teenager, in a very vulnerable state in front of all your coworkers, who you’ve previously done a good job at keeping aspects of your personal life from in the past.

After a shocking second of aggressive making out, you pull away softly, looking up softly into his eyes. You hadn’t seen him in so long, you missed his pretty eyes. You’d rather appreciate him, not his saliva in your mouth. But when you pulled away from the kiss, he looked at you confused, and as you looked at him with happy, innocent eyes, he forcefully pulled his hand off your waist, and for lack of a better word, shoved you off of him, walking away to the drink table.

You would have followed him like you usually do, to console him and apologize and make sure he’s okay. But that reputation. You’re worried that only made it worse. So you attempt to act as if nothing just happened, plastering a large, toothy grin to your face. Walking over to Sebastian and Chris and giving them a huge group hug. The party continued without the awkward silence, and moved on as if there wasn’t just a make out session right in the middle of the room.

You socialize with the party guests, and blush as everyone wishes you a happy sixteenth birthday. You wait until the cake is served and you’ve taken a bite or two of your slice, giving your compliments to the chef, before setting your place down since you couldn’t stomach any more, and walking over to Jacob. Who’s spent the remainder of the party sitting in the corner looking utterly betrayed.

“Hi Jakey,” You softly whisper as you approach him. You place a small kiss on his lips in an attempt to redeem yourself for before.

He shoves you away from him again, not kidding you back, “oh, so now you’re comfortable with kissing?” He asks sternly. You watch his angry figure with dad and confused eyes.

“I just didn’t wanna do it in front of all my coworkers. Jakey, that’s weird, we’re barely sixteen.” You attempted to comfort softly, but he rolled his eyes, stomping out of the party. You were thankful not many people noticed, at least that you could see.

He stomped off of set, you following him quickly behind, attempting to preserve this relationship in any way you can. You figured the downfall was coming soon enough, but you would rather it not be today.

“You never want to kiss me in public. You’re embarrassed of me!” He yells at you. Tears sting your eyes as you accept the fact that you’re back in the toxic environment you worked so hard to leave. This is why secretly you’ve been loving all the production delays and how long it’s taken to wrap filming. You love being away from home, because it means you don’t have to deal with this.

“Jake, I have no problem displaying affection in public! I’m not embarrassed of you, I just don’t think everyone needs to see what we do,” you start strongly, before he cuts you off in annoyance and impatience, “so you’re admitting you think I don’t deserve to be seen with you in public! What, is it because you became an actor? So I’m not good enough for you now because I’m just a high schooler? I’m just Jacob, and ‘oh, look at me I'm big time actor big deal y/n’, huh!? That’s all I am to you!?”

He scoffs angrily, his volume increasing, “And, I was going to give you birthday sex too. Yeah.”

You quietly let his words sink in as you weigh your options and try to think of what to say. Once again your brain is failing you, you have no clue how to react in this situation.

“Get off my set,” You quietly mumble after nearly a minute of silence. He scoffs.

“Get, off of my fucking set,” you growl at him, not moving a muscle. Your brain initially made you consider stepping up to him, but you’re significantly shorter than him, so you decided against that. But it didn’t matter anyway, because he approached you and slapped you directly across the face. You don’t react. Not at all, it barely even phases you and you simply blink.

You don’t have to say anything else, as he slowly makes his way off the set and out of the parking lot, towards the bus station. But you don’t care where he’s going or how he’s getting there. You just hope he stays gone.

As you watch his silhouette fade into the street lamps and surrounding scrambling bodies going in all different directions, you hear two people running up behind you. You don’t need to turn around or hear their voices to know they’re Sebastian and Chris.

“Are you okay?” Sebastian worried, cradling your cheek. “That little shit slapped you,” Chris huffed angrily as he watched his body emerge.

“He does that to me all the time. It’s just because we watched it in a movie together, it’s just an inside joke.” You quietly stare into the distance blankly.

“Y/n,” Sebastian says, looking into your helpless innocent eyes.

“No, it’s not,” Chris says softly.

“No, it’s not.” You whisper quietly.

That’s the first time you came clean, the first time you realized something was wrong. The first time you stopped lying about the things he did to you and how he made you feel. The first time you stopped letting him isolate you from everyone else.

You reconnected with the friends you lost because of him. The first time in a long time you had an open, honest conversation with your parents. You spoke in passing about things he did to you, and didn’t rush to excuse his behavior. You let speculation be speculation, because the speculation was fact. And you had the trauma to prove it.

You talked to Sebastian and Chris about it a lot. They were there to listen to it all, they welcomed you In with open arms. Lucky for you filming didn’t wrap for several months after your sweet sixteen, after your sophomore year of high school ended, during summer break. So you didn’t have to worry about seeing Jacob or purposely getting yourself sentenced to detention to make out with him much to the dismay of the detention supervisor of the day.

And lucky for you, when junior year started, after weeks of freaking out and crying and calling Sebastian and Chris, you found out that Jacob had moved upstate to live with his mother, because she got custody.

in fanfics i often see people portraying levi as being kinda rough and mean in his speech and while that is true he is also capable of being softer and he really understanding and often thanks people and shows them that he appreciate them (which you pointed out actually)

he is also often teasingly mean

how do you think those trait balance out in levis manner of speaking?

Hi again, and thank you as always for your kind words. I haven't gotten a single hate message since I turned anon off, so that pretty much tells the tale. They're just cowards and losers, honestly, and everyone knows it.

Anyway, to answer your question, I've said before, but I think Levi's "rudeness" is really more a product of him just simply lacking social skill, rather than him being intentionally mean. Of course there's exceptions, mostly with Erwin, where he genuinely is trying to insult him, lol. And of course, with Zeke and a few others. But I think Levi's bluntness and honesty is a large part of why he comes across as "mean" or "rude". He isn't trying to be, most of the time, he just isn't well versed in how to couch his thoughts in more palatable terms. Levi was raised, very literally, to approach people directly. Kenny's idea of how to say hello was to kill them, or physically assault them in some way, and that's the kind of example Levi grew up with. By some miracle, he didn't turn out to be a sociopath like his uncle, but I think that kind of direct confrontation is something Levi was raised in. Just getting in people's faces and telling them what he thinks and feels. He was never shown a more refined or delicate way of expressing himself. We see that in Levi's own bursts of violence too. He was taught that if you want to get a point across, sometimes physical violence is the best means of doing so. And it isn't a reflection on Levi as a person, really. It doesn't expose some psychopathic tendency on his part. It's just simply what he was taught, that if you want someone to listen who otherwise isn't, hitting them will get their attention.

There's really no finesse or deceptiveness to the way Levi operates. And while, yeah, sometimes that can make him scary, if you ask me, it makes him a hell whole of a lot less scary, and dangerous, than a guy like Zeke, for example, who you never know when he's lying to you, or using you. Zeke's the kind of guy that will smile to your face and then stab you in the back. Levi's the kind of guy who will just stab you, and make sure you know it's him, lol. At least with Levi, you always know you're getting the truth.

And I think that honesty is also in part linked to his compassion. He has no interest in lying. He has no interest in manipulation or control of others. With Levi, you get what you see, and it's because he has too much respect for other people and their perspective to ever lie to them, or use them, or try to manipulate them. If he wants your help, he'll just tell you directly. His interactions with Dimo Reeves is a good example. He just told him straight up, the SC would help him and the town of Trost, and in exchange, they would expect his cooperation in return. He didn't try to bullshit Reeves, and Reeves appreciated that.

Oh hell yeah. I was hoping for this ask from day one ngl 😂 Thanks anon. With great pleasure!! TL;DR: Sebastian Krueger is not right in the head. At all.

His bio implies (without confirming) that he may have killed his parents + offed civilians while deployed. I think both are true.

Some have a resting bitch face, Krueger has a resting smirk.

Freeloader in his youth. grew up in Austria, but spent a lot of time in Germany in his teens and early adulthood. Underground/techno scene, free parties in the mountains near the border, all that stuff.

Gets along super well with Syd. They're besties.

The only other operator who fights as dirty as Krueger does in hand-to-hand combat is Wyatt, and both have more common points that one could imagine (the Deranged© and "exceptionally good with a knife" ones)

Hypoalgesia. Abnormally high tolerance to pain (and cold) (he's never cold. ever.)

Weirdly picky about cigarettes. He only smokes Camel (and weed; the only thing that makes him sleep for longer than 4-hour patches)

Never passed his driving license, he provided a fake one upon joining Chimera. Nikolai knows but pretends he doesn't.

Complete control freak - but to the difference of others he doesn't even have to try. He exerts control effortlessly about p much anything and anyone. He blends in, always knows what to say and ppl tend to listen to him (please don't.)

Genuinely enjoys seeing drama unfold. He likes being the centre/cause of drama, too. He knows he can get away with anything.

In short, definitely some, if not all psychopathic traits. Lack of empathy, very smart, efficient, blunt yet people are drawn to him.

Bonus about the KSK pre-MW19 incident and other gratuitous stuff:

In Remanence, I didn't write it for the sake of making the story a bit easier to narrate, but in my headcanon Hans (Golem) helped Krueger escape KSK custody while being 99% sure that Krueger was NOT innocent. You can read abt that in this fic. He helped him despite his morals, despite learning that he befriended (and maybe more) a dude that was lying abt his entire life up to his own fucking name. He helped him without even having Krueger ask. Hans didn't need to be manipulated or gaslit, he just felt he had to help but didn't know why. I have a fic about their shared past here!

Him and Syd (besties) have a matching nipple piercing.

Rattlesnake (or ouroboros) tattoo around his right thigh. Kinda like Grinch's but it's a snake.

there’s some serious hate towards harringrove on tiktok and it just doesn’t make sense why ppl hate billy so much but love other “bad boy” tropes, I mean henry creel is a child murderer psychopath but I don’t see people hating on his fans? the same ppl who hate on billy are the ones stanning loki and darth vader who’ve done more crimes than billy ever has so this starting to feel like a hate train tbh

Geekdom101 made a video about Cell being a narcissist. His points about narcissism aren't wrong. But his statements about Vegeta are. And I often notice that ppl omit info about Vegeta to please Vegeta fans. I've already talked about Vegeta's narcissism before. Link here. 👇

Vegeta WAS indeed a narcissist. If Cell was the worst, then Vegeta was definitely close.

Saiyan pride is arrogance in your own strength and that lends to narcissism. And Vegeta is all about Saiyan Pride.

Vegeta being the strongest Saiyan and surpassing his father while still younger than 10 yrs old lended to narcissism.

Vegeta being a prince also lended to his narcissism.

Vegeta becoming a Super Saiyan lended more to his narcissism because Saiyans become more arrogant when they get more power.

Narcissists can even love ppl, but they do so in a different way that is kinda similar to viewing the person as their property at times. Which explains why he eventually came to love Bulma & Trunks despite being a narcissist psychopath. Geekdom left all that info out either to make Vegeta look better or he wasn't knowledgeable of that. Which is fine. He can become knowledgeable of it if he isn't. But, downplaying Vegeta's faults actually takes away from his development that fans claim is so great. He was scum that deserved death, but became someone who actually cared for others. That's some serious development.

(Do ppl downplay King Piccolo's evil deeds & narcissism? He was so evil that ppl he killed couldn't go to Other World. And Cell is a lot like him. Both had pride in their children. Cell even got on TV just as King Piccolo did. Cell was made to believe he was to be the perfect being & King Piccolo was born from the evil & negative qualities of the Nameless Namekian. The origin of both caused them to be evil & narcissist.)

Perhaps I will make a post about Geekdom101's video that also explains why Vegeta was a narcissist in deeper detail. But I have other things to post before I do that.

Do you think Bloodbath Bakery is well written?

Honestly it depends. So far the comic makes senses and is well done from Falink’s perspective, has he struggles to stay on task, and focus do to what looks like pretty bad C-PTSD (or just regular PTSD but his trauma seems to stem from a series of traumatic events so it’s likely C-PTSD) When we get to Morioh/ Mr. Noname’s perspective his thoughts don’t have any visuals outside of reality, so it implies that that amount of monologue and reflection is likely Falink exclusive, maybe even BBB employees exclusive. (But I don’t have enough info to completely know, so)

As for the things that I’ve been from the animations and comments there’s some good elements if handled correctly. For example the fact that Melm hates Yami and Falink, but still works at the bakery. She likely has to work there because she pays Yami rent, and Yami likely has dirt on her. (Also because she might be friends with Susie, at least friendly acquaintances.) I’d imagine Yami has dirt on everyone who works there because no one (willingly) likes him.

But Yami isn’t a one dimensional villain seemingly. He has really bad childhood trauma from bullies. I’m also guessing that his parents weren’t super great either considering he killed them. If he were in a good home situation then he would’ve had comfort, attachment, and love, away from the bullying, and wouldn’t have a reason to kill them. I know Akira was attached to them because he was upset when they died, so it’s either them were playing favorites or Akira having that thing where the child really wants to love their parents, and be attached to them, but still isn’t treated well by them.

One of the animations (idk remember the name but the one where the BBB employees go to jail) Yami might have a lesser version of C-PTSD because of that small flashback to being made fun of as a kid, and the severity of the trauma might’ve made him s sociopath. (maybe, we haven’t seen Yami’s mental state in the comic all too well) but I do see a window of where it could be problematic for Yami to be the villain because of the demonization of psychopaths and sociopaths in media and irl. (If he is one. Hell, maybe it’s a mixture of different mental issues, i.e. low empathy ASD, maybe, BPD and such. Hopefully it’ll be told that he chose to not get help and embraced his sadism by will if he is any of these things.)

As to why Yami was bullied, he’s gay, short, and has pink hair, need I say more?

Things with Susie are a little more vague. The only thing I’ve heard is that she was burned really badly, and covers up because of it. Now I might be stretching a little, but one of Stain’s insta posts includes Susie likely tearing someone apart, idk if it’s in the story or where, but it might allude to her having a mental break. That might be why she’s involved too instead of just Falink. Falink refers to himself and a murderer, so he’s probably killed someone. Melm pushed her father out the window of the apartment building. So there’s a pattern.

As for Morioh/ Noname, I see that, like Yami, he has a bad relationship with his family/ his family is dead. This can be a good way for Morioh to bond with Yami. It can also let the viewers get glimpses into Yami’s past in an indirect way at first. His scars can also be tied in to his family dynamics, or a deferent event, either way Yami is too much of a simp to not be interested in Morioh’s story behind those. I can also see that it could also be problematic for the outwardly gay ppl to have bad relationships with their family, but it’s unfortunately true that many queer folk don’t have good relationships in that area, myself included.

Asylum… idk what’s up with that church himbo, but he gives me golden retriever energy tbh lololol (also apparently he’s 45 or something? With Stain’s art style I really can’t tell ppl’s ages, but then again there’s magic shit going on so who’ knows, Asylum could probably de-age himself or something.)

Ichigo idk either because his stuff is even more vague than Susie, and he’s not the most popular character so I don’t see him mentioned a lot in the comments.

it pisses me off tbh 😩 like, yeah this is unexpectedly brutal and violent, especially since it's little kids — everything seems less shocking when it's adults but when it's children, like, 8-9 year olds and when it's shown so bluntly it could definitely be upsetting and scary. but people misunderstanding the fact that mikey is mentally ill rubs me wrong fr.

the kid is sick in the head, and we don't even know why yet. it's fiction and we can hate it or love it, but the fact that some people aren't bothering to look into it or acknowledge that there's a lot of depth to this is just. not cool. he's twisted, and of course he's going to do horrible things.

people going from "i know he's mentally ill and i still love him" to "what the fuck he's evil i hate him now" is just ?????

mikey's killed half the characters in the show during the various timeleaps and arcs we've gotten, but due to the fact that mikey was attractive/the murders weren't shown/mikey's reactions were emphasized it didn't rlly sink in to viewers heads i guess.

like, manila mikey literally murdered everyone. but we saw him crying and asking takemichi to kill him, and it focused more on his pain, therefore people overlooked what he did. but now, this time it's thrown at us, raw and explicitly shown, and all of a sudden people aren't okay with it.

the serious hate towards mikey, wakui and the manga as a whole that i'm seeing is proving that genuinely, some people do not get the sensitivity and brutality of psychopathic mental illness actually is. i'm not saying mikey's dark impulses are shown totally accurate to how it may be irl, but it's definitely close, and as you're saying, it isn't romanticized or glossed over. not in this chapter anyway.

excusing/not being bothered by everything he did as an adult, but being so badly offended and repulsed by what he did as a kid??? hm. it doesn't make sense.

people misunderstanding and mislabeling characters like izana, kazutora and mikey is nothing new but it's gotten a lot worse now and i hate it tbh.

Random Headcanon's for the Scream Character's

Billy really was a normal sweet kid and a good boyfriend before his mom left. Everyone paints him as always being crazy and his mom just triggered him but I honestly don't think that's true. Sidney and her parents would not have been okay with her dating a bad boy from Sophomore year onward. Sure it happens and maybe she saw past it but If Sidney would have seen how Billy acted with Randy in the videostore; instant break up imo. He could not have hid that side of himself for two years straight. Remember, they were dating a whole year prior to Maureen cheating. My theory is he may or may not have had a 'side' to him or other undiagnosed disorder in his gene pool (Mrs Loomis snapping too.) but Billy's psychotic breakdown was mostly situational + groomed by Roman and there were other things in his life that probably were boiling over and Debbie leaving him completely broke him. So, he was in an extremely vulnerable state when Roman came around and molded him. THAT is why Sidney trusted him so much in Scream before the phone incident and even somewhat after. Because Billy was a good boyfriend before her mom's murder and she would have never suspected it. Now how her or no one else could see him tumbling into madness or at least deep depression before Roman sank his talons in is beyond me. Maybe she did and he shrugged her off? Either way, the situation made him shut down all empathy towards other people and changed him. His empathy is towards his mom, possibly his dad since Hank never died and that is it. He has symptoms of a psychopath and even though that is usually genetic I 100% think a psychotic breakdown could do it as well.(Don't come for me bitch I'm not trained in any of this just using what I know from research 🧍‍♀️) If his mom never left and Roman didn't come along; Billy would have never been a killer

Contrary to Billy's situational psychological crazyness. Stu was always going to kill. I don't even think it's is he a sociopath vs a psychopath argument as much as he is just disconnected from reality. (Though he would most likely be a Sociopath if he was bc of his lack of boundaries as well impulsive behavior. Thinking killing was a game.) Stu possibly suffered abuse as a child. He was terrified of his parents more than the law. Either A. They abused him and permanently terrified him. Or B. He really has a stunted mentality and thinks of killing as a game and fears his parents more than the law bc the consequences are just not clicking LIKE A KID. He's like a giant little kid with no sense of how things work. He still could have been abused and that is what stunted his growth mentally. However, his violent tendacies were always there. Never preplanned just urgent anger or sadistic glee he couldn't control. Billy just suggested the killings and he was instantly down. Like, hell yeah cool. Most ppl no matter what mental illness they have or how severe are not that easy to convince. Whose to say he hadn't killed before or was planning to? My theory is he is so disconnected from reality that killing really is a giant fun game to him and he would have eventually murdered someone even without Billy.

Idk why this isn't more thought of throughout the fandom. Billy and Stu did not rape Maureen bc the evidence would have pointed to someone other than the guy they were framing. Cotton Weary had sex with Maureen, left, Billy and Stu taunted her on the phone and lured her away, they killed her, police suspected rape bc A. they didn't know about the affairs. B. Cotton's semen or her discharge or bruising being there. They naturally assumed it was rape but in actuality no one raped her. Cotton's dna from their affair incriminated him even more. Not saying that Billy and Stu would think of rape as morally wrong enough not to do in their book BUT it would have been stupid on their part and made it obvious there were other suspects besides Cotton.

Stu isn't a lapdog. Stu literally revealed on the phone he was going to throw Billy under the bus. He hesitated giving him the knife. Stu is like a kid. He most likely suffered trauma that regressed his mental age. He's eager to please, desperate for attention and most likely fawns over people he feels close to in an obsessive way. He could have even been in love with Billy and vice versa which is why he was so eager to please him. However, he was not nearly as stupid or a lapdog as much as the fandom makes him out to be. I think Randy saying it in the videostore sealed the deal for people even though he was only acting like that bc he was helping Billy too and covering their tracks. Billy was the one with the plan. Stu just tagged along out of the urge to kill. But he 100% had his own plan to kill and bail if needed. My mind is made up on that.

There was a third killer in Scream and it wasn't a teen or Roman. You're telling me two 17-18 yr old guys could come up with every detail? Roman only told Billy the basics. How did they get tactical police shoes? How did they get to the houses so fast and leave just as quickly? How did they both take down and restrain Steve or Neil by themselves enough to tie them up? Sure, Stu was deranged and tall but these two lanky teens were able to take on a football player with muscles and a grown man? Possible but stil meh to me. Their plan was too thorough for two teen boys to come up with on their own. Both crazy. One completely unhinged and disconnected from reality and the other so blinded by revenge he was stupid at times. (Fucking stabbing yourselves before killing Neil and Sidney. Not even thinking to AT LEAST tie Sidney up as well...Really? Jill was smarter in 4 in that respect tbh.) I truly think their was an adult involved in Scream helping them or guiding them. I would say Roman if it wasn't for him going back to Hollywood. But Billy and Stu had help DURING the killings 100%.

Randy is not this mecha survival final boy like the fandom thinks. The kid watched one too many horror movies and based them on real life. Scream itself is making fun of slasher movies and Randy was supposed to be the narrator setting most of the dumb rules up into play. Everyone is like "omg that's so out of character how he died in 2" no its not. If the rules work then him losing his virginity did him in. He was drinking, he was pissed off and not thinking. Plus Mrs. Loomis attacked in broad daylight, something no one thought of. (And the whole debate how a middle aged woman could pull him in. LOOK. Randy is a fucking small guy and she grabbed him backwards, using momentum to haul him back into the van. PLUS she was enraged at what he said about Billy. Adrenaline is a hell of a super drug as far as testing the bodies limits. I have seen tiny girls become the hulk when they are pissed I'm jus sayin) Point is, Randy was just a teen boy that loved horror movies. He was not some survival guide especially since it showed him even on the couch not aware of Ghostface behind him. He was a giant satire showing how even he didn't always follow the rules of slasher movies and how dumb the rules are.

Tatum loved Sidney and had more chemistry with her than Billy. I am not saying they weren't just BFF's and I don't want to ruin female friendship with constantly thinking "omg they are gay together" any time two women are close. BUT it is strange that it was only those two as friends especially since Sidney didn't fit into Tatum's popular social circle. It's like Tatum went out of her way to be friends with Sidney. Maybe they were childhood friends and that's why? But I think it's entirely possible that just like it's speculated that Stu and Billy were secretly in love; Tatum possibly was at least bi and in love with Sidney.

I was researching about sociopaths and psychopaths, especially regarding relationships. When I was going through forums, I found forums talking about if they can love. A lot of them said they cannot form bonds emotionally (yk, involving the heart), but they can still. Like their brains would 'send' the signals instead. The people they're very close to are generally ppl they trust and benefit them. (mostly benefit for psychopaths' case; sociopaths can still feel sympathy or empathy to a small degree). Those who were married, they said it's bc they trust, respected them, etc. even tho they don't love them 'emotionally'. So we can say Hisoka 'likes' Machi not only bc she brings benefits, he also sees her as someone to trust, admired her, and prolly respected her and such to some degree. As with betrayal, they either said they drop them and stop caring about them in a matter of sec, or they do that and also make them pay for what they did. With the recent events in hxh, I felt like Hisoka felt betrayed (or realized she betrayed him; maybe the theory that he wasn't fighting alone is true after all :0) and so he did what he did in ch 357. He must've wanted to kill her right there and then, and idk why Togashi didn't go that route. But nevertheless, he did like her (in a sociopathic or psychopathic way) and did what a sociopath or psychopath would do when the person they like betrayed them.

That's a great take if we consider Hisoka as a psychopath or sociopath. Even if he's not by any chance, I think his way of "loving" someone is very... different. Your ask reminded me of a conversation I had with a friend (who also ships HisoMachi) about it a while ago. She had taken Psychology classes and I asked her if she thought Hisoka could love Machi for real. This is what she had answered me by the time:

He loves Machi, he really does.... Just not in a "normal" sense of love. It would be a strong level of affection to the point where pretty much nothing she can do will shake it; he loves all her reactions~ she gets angry, he loves it since it's her bloodlust, she's apathetic: he loves it, it's a challenge for him to get an emotion out of her; she's happy: he loves it, it's interesting and something he doesn't see often (plus a sense of stroking his ego if he makes her happy, an emotion we don't see much of from her).

My thought is that he would say he's in love with her... but he doesn't know what real love actually is. His thought is "well I feel all this love for her emotions and personality" which is true if you consider love as just "strongly liking something".

But there's not much putting her before his own wishes (ex. killing Chrollo).

Think about it: he refers to Bungee Gum as "elastic love"; the idea of being strongly attached to someone is his idea of love, without actually considering their wishes and wants.

I've always seen how Hisoka acts romantically, but I've always thought someone like him just wouldn't know what real love is (he shows little to no compassion for anyone). So in my mind, his "love" for Machi is obsession mixed with lust and maybe some element of caring for her well-being (he would do things for her if she's like sick or injured but wouldn't consider the impact of her losing her friends by him).

Well, maybe a betrayal would shake it actually, as you've mentioned. I will always find it interesting how Togashi only mentioned Hisoka wanted to kill her in his commentary, not in the story, as Hisoka had done previously with many of his targets when directly verbalizing or thinking of it. Made me think that him wanting to do this was something different, and maybe something Togashi wanted to elaborate better later, and this is why she's still alive.

P.S.: I've showed your asked and talked about it with my friend because I wanted to ask her permission to post her take and she wanted to add this:

While I do think Hisoka is sociopathic, he's also a character. And 99% of all fictional sociopaths/psychopaths are not close to an accurate portrayal. There's a reason we don't have murderous clowns like him irl. So, if he can feel things like empathy for Machi, it can be not the most realistic thing, but pretty much all of the characters in Hunter x Hunter are unrealistic or act very unrealistically to an extent (especially the kid characters).

Just to say that we can try to analyze it realistically but also there's no problem in imagining he can actually feel empathy or love because in the end of the day, it's just fiction.

This I agree with. I was really against Belphie after Lesson 16, and I do still think that took him from "mwhahaha Imma psychopathic genocidal maniac who just killed you" to "omg! Your actually pretty cool, and I totally love you now" WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY too fast. BUT! That being said, Belphie is aware that what he did was wrong, and I'm pretty sure he does actually apologize and ask MC why they forgave him in lessons 17 or 18 (someone pls correct me in comments. I'm going off memory). AND THEN! He does the most important thing which is PUT ACTION TO HIS WORDS!!! He doesn't just apologize, he actually continues to prove to MC that he is sorry and that he has changed by being attentive and mindful of them from then out. So yeah. Belphie is alright in my books 👍

Overall decent episode. One of the better ones of the season. Idk. Im rly looking forward to Leah's arc being over so that I can stop hoping for her to meet Carol. Anyway. I guess yumikos brother is gonna play a big part in overthrowing the commonwealth. It's a shame that honestly at this point I'm kind of waiting for the show to be over bc I'm so unimpressed but oh well.
