Honestly? it's his bio.

When I got MW19 in march of 2020 I didn't care much about Krueger: I was all over Ghost making his big comeback, for the first time in exactly 10 years. which is the amount of time I had been grieving AND waiting for him. btw. I read the bios as I unlocked characters, and Krueger was the last vanilla op I unlocked since he demands 25 full takedowns (as a matter of comparison, König needs one).

Krueger's bio caught my eye off the bat since... well it's pretty self-explanatory, yet he's still working with the "good guys" (in the multiplayer lore, since there was one in this game).

It explicitely tells you about him 1) being an excellent liar (joining a foreign regular military and then its special forces with a fake ID, like cmon man) 2) being *very heavily implied* to have committed extremely serious crimes and that is a euphemism.

So, I found his whole character, his voicelines and his dossier, to be very, very interesting, unique and quite refreshing. It basically opened a whole world of possibilities. I lacked the terrain/inspiration to explore different/darker dynamics in fiction; and now presented with a character that was morally dubious at the very best to start with... Krueger's character laid out the red freaking carpet for me.

Pairing him with Nikto, who in MW19 has 3 lines of bio - that stand perfectly on the fine line between "characteristic" and "too specific", mwii/iii I'm looking at you - was the most compelling shit I've done maybe ever.

Probably bought. I don't think we can reasonably make sense of skins in call of duty, however Nikto has a suit of some sorts in every skin but one or two; with most being flight suits, so he probably simply likes jumpsuits as a whole I GUESS??

Maybe he likes being compressed. Maybe his blood circulation is so bad he needs an anti-g suit. Who knows.

I was thinking about Nikto (like so often) and I was wondering: What makes him push through in your opinion? What keeps him going? I mean, considering what he went through and the abundance of conditions he has to live with - how is he able to go forward like this with so much drive? I think he's so incredibly strong. Others in his situation would've probably given up long ago and maby wouldn't have even survived the torture and everything that came with it. But he's here - living, breathing and kicking it. He might have a few (or many) screws loose and is a very complex man, but I admire him a lot for his strength and resilience.

I bet he wouldn't like to hear this sappy shit, but I'm putting it into the secret love letter in my head for him. ^^

Hi, lovely anon! That's a good question. I think for the most part it's actually out of spite. Not in a 'performative, edgy' way because Nikto is certainly not going to brag about it, but just "I'll keep going since none of this shit actually managed to kill me".

He is strong and resilient given all the shit he's been through, he just doesn't navigate his (multiple layers of) trauma in a healthy way.

Hello Cero. I recently found Staysold on Spotify, in a Nikto playlist and I can agree that it is music he would listen to, since it's just noise. (No idea if you're familiar.) And you once mentioned your hc on what Nikto be listening to.

What about Krueger tho? What kind of music does he like?

Oh I'm glad you asked for krueger BECAUUUSE in my insanely specific headcanon of him having been a freeparty guy, he's particularly into acid techno/frenchcore and the likes. we're talking big TB-303 basslines and 6+ minutes track you listen to out of a massive sound system in the woods. Like this, or this. This whole set. Or speed/hardcore such as this. Or more recent techno like this.

HMM yes I could think of some :3c Though I'll limit "Shadow Company" to MW19 SC, plus Graves because to me the rest's like. not canon. at least in the ceroverse (to me Mace is with the Jackals, not SC)

Roze: okay so Vel and Roze just work well together. she was very intimidating to him when he joined Shadow Company because she's so confident and unfazed and never really lets anyone see what she thinks. Fact is, she never made Velikan feel odd but she for sure makes him feel special. He trusts her a lot and knows that she also trusts him 😌 they're able to communicate without exchanging a word also.

Lerch: he's actually the one who pitched Velikan to Graves for SC. Being SC's senior officer he's the one who sort of monitors (potential) new additions. It took time (and a lot of mediation from Roze) for him to understand how Velikan worked & liked to work. They clashed at first but now Velikan has enough free rein and structure to feel comfortable with Lerch around, especially since him, Lerch and Roze are very often on ops together, they have good chemistry.

Graves: Graves is very boots-on-the-ground as a leader. So Velikan likes that he's not putting himself above everyone else, he's not an abstract leader figure. However Vel doesn't really like the plotting & scheming and shit because he just can't wrap his head around doing all of these complicated things just to put up a diplomat front (why not just break shit immediately??!). Also Graves calls him "big boy" and gives him hearty taps on the shoulders. Vel likes that.

hes actually rly interesting. i dont have any like concrete hcs abt his childhood i just know it was rough and im sure he went thru multiple foster homes. his bio also says his dad is just unknown which im sure bothers him. i could see him waffling around between not caring who it is and actually caring who it is but also very seriously and defensively pretending like he doesnt care who it is. i doubt he has any pics of his mom at all.

its rly interesting bc he seems like a guy whod have a lot of resentment to his country and im sure he does. but the military is structure and a job he likes bc he can be as brash as he is without too many people bothering him about it. they give it right back. i HAVE to imagine his line "for queen and country" he says during takedowns is like snidely said. hes rly cute i like him i like how bitter he is

im also really sure price would like him a lot too he likes bitchy boys. it makes sense theyve worked toegether a lot. having otter and gaz on a squad together would probably be soo fun to him watching them snark back and forth. also since price has worked with him before he did gaz... tasty
