big fan of when grief drives characters to do fucked up things that are ultimately pointless and do more harm than good rather than just like. going to therapy

Bruce might be the “weakest” human member of the League, but if he wanted to? he knows exactly what to say to make Superman snap, and that’s more powerful than anything

mfs will hear "a common thread of this mental illness is a debilitating fear of something very bad happening, or doing something reprehensible, and this fear is so overwhelming that it changes this person's entire life as they desperately try to keep from ever having to even come near the possibility of this thing happening" and will somehow convince themselves that that means that person is in fact exactly the thing they're terrified of being and should be shunned and reviled on account of how they are a person who clearly wants to do this terrible thing so so much

Israel has been attacking Palestine three nights in a row. First by raiding Masjid Al-Aqsa during prayers and now Israeli forces are launching air strikes on the Gaza strips for a second night.
Don’t forget how they stop Christian Palestinians from traveling to their holy sites as well.
Can you imagine the news coverage and world wide outrage had any other government sanctioned such violence against another other specific ethnic group while they are in observance of a holy time?
The selective blindness when it comes to the apartheid and ethnic cleansing of Palestine is morally abhorrent and sickening. Ya Allah may all Palestinians see freedom in this lifetime.

I would take criticisms of c!Tommy a lot more seriously if a lot of it wasn’t just… victim blaming and ableism. This isn’t to say there’s no valid criticism of c!Tommy there 100% is. But a lot of “popular” criticisms of c!Tommy and the way these criticisms are stated is nasty. Like c!Tommy has so many flaws! But then you get people listing his flaws are like being mean to his abuser and it all falls apart.

Ruthlessness and Thunder Bringer describe a similar situation where a powerful god comes to punish Odysseus and/or his crew.
the thing is, while in Ruthlessness Odysseus was visibly afraid of Poseidon's wrath, i don't think that's how he's gonna act in Thunder Bringer. i imagine him standing there with this kind of face: (¬_¬) while Zeus goes on about pride. he didn't eat the sacred cattle, so when Zeus asks the question "the lives of your men and crew or your own" they both already know the answer. this is the ruthless Odysseus, and he's not about to take punishment for a crime he didn't commit.
also he might have already killed eurylochus himself

Dean is, on the whole, way more resilient when Cas is around. When Cas is near, Dean absorbs the hit a lot better. Whether that's Sam's death, Mary's world-hopping, or Jack's running away.
When Cas is there, Dean has hope. He calms down. The ground is more level beneath his feet.
