the frustration shy reader must feel bc she’s freaky… no doubt about it, but rafe is like she’s too precious and innocent for that
no srsly.. he thinks shes so fragile because she took some time to adjust to being intimate w him but its like no she was just a shy virgin and rafe is so overwhelming but like when she gets comfortable... its a whole diff story !
"c'mon, kid, hasn't even been an hour," rafe groans, while you crawl into his lap again. you sit right on his dick, moving the way that you know will get you dicked down within the next ten minutes. or at least you thought it would.
rafe's huge hands come to your hips, lifting you up and off, tumbling onto the bedspace next to him.
"m'not a dildo, kid. give it a rest, it's fuckin' tired."
"i bet i can wake it up," you giggle, hand snaking back onto rafe's chest and trailing down. he grabs your wrist.
"what the fuck. are-are you not satisifed. is that what this is?"
"i never said that," you say with a sincere shake of your head and one of your concerned looks. "oh, am i not supposed to want it more? is that bad?"
rafe's not sure what he's gonna do with you.
"no, baby, it's not bad. it's healthy." you look relieved, chest heaving slower while you sink into your side of the bed.
he thinks that's the end of the conversation, but it comes up again a few days later, when he picks you up and takes you out for icecream on the pier. you lick your cone, watching the sunset while rafe stares at you, when ropes from someone's boat catches your eye.
"that rope looks strong," you comment, with another swipe of your tongue. rafe's about to start a lecture on boats when you cut him off, piping in again. "i bet if you tied me up with that i couldn't even move. it would probably leave scars. right?" you glance up from the rope to look at your boyfriend.
"huh?"
"the rope. if you tied it around my wrists and ankles. it would probably leave a mark. and hurt. you think we can take that rope or should we buy our own?"
he stares at you, not sure if you're joking.
"no, no one's tying you up with rope. what the fuck?"
"ugh. rafe?"
"yeah? kid?"
"you want some?" you offer, handing him the ice cream cone.
the next time he's heard enough. he's driving through the woods, a creepy backroad that led him to barry's, where he'd taken you with him since it was late at night. there's no lights, just the moon and the trees.
you stare out the window, he thinks you're tired from the day's activities.
"what're you thinkin' about, kid?"
"i bet if you let me loose in these woods you wouldn't be able to find me." he's a little confused, but sometimes you say odd shit so he goes along with it.
"yeah, that's what getting lost means."
"no, silly, not lost. if you let me run so you could chase me." you crane your neck, looking out the window at the expanse of the forest.
"to... find you?"
"duh, rafe. how else could we have sex in the woods if you don't find me. that's the whole point, you have to chase me. like a predator animal. i wonder if there's bears in these woods."
"are you jokin'?" you turn to look at him, with that same confused expression, sweet and confused.
"no? why?" he slams on the brakes, pulling over.
"get real, kid. you want me to chase you through the forest and fuck you, what, against a tree?"
"no, rafe," you start sincerely, looking concerned. "not against a tree, wouldn't that hurt? maybe on the grass. it just depends how far i get, until you find me, i guess. it looks like just trees here."
he stares at you, and then back at his hands on the wheel.
"rafe?"
"yes?"
"so are we gonna do it today, or..?"

Listen it might already have been said but the thing that makes Knives Out and Glass Onion distinct and great compared to mysteries with Sherlock Holmes or Hercule Poirot is that they are both very importantly not focused on the detective.
Benoit Blanc is an great character to be sure, but the journey is focused on the injustice towards the victim. The thing that drives the movie with the thirst and want for an answer is NOT in the pursuit of showing off how smart and intellectual our main detective is, but instead is driven with the pursuit of showing off the compassion and humanity of the main character WHICH is NOT just the detective, but also the victim.
The inherent cold, factual apathy that is present not only in many typical fictional detectives, but in the very nature of our obsession with crimes and mysteries--whether it be a TV show highlighting a detectives’ intellect by showing how little they care for emotions, or a documentary on the “insane brilliant psyche” of a real life serial killer. The FOCUS is always on the crime, on the murderer, on the unfeeling facts and sciences that “must always lead” to an eventual answer.
And that is why it is so refreshing when these movies subvert these tropes, not just on the surface level of telling you who the killer is midway through, or making a perfect crime look idiotic. No, it’s also that they change the very object of desire and that it is not just looking to see who the killer is, but to see who the victims are, and where the justice is. It’s about the victims and their pursuit of closure when the justice system fails them! It’s about the detective being a caring human being instead of a knowledge machine! It is about how there is more to the crime than just solving the crime! but also yeah the movies are good because benoit is gay with hugh grant that too

You mentioned in Noel’s bio how he has severe face blindness-, how would he go about dealing that with his darling, then? Knowing he can’t see their face? Would it frustrate him? Intrigue him? Would it make his tendencies worse or better? Just curious.
Your artwork is amazing and I hope you have a great day!
Noel is born with his face blindness so he has since learnt to deal with it. For most people, he just relies on context clues or their hair/clothes/voice etc. to recognize them.
For his s/o though, i've always had half an idea in mind that they used to be childhood friends...
(yes his natural hair colour is white. if he ever finds you looking at this picture he will be so embarrassed.)
this became a long ass post of noel lore so
Noel might be able to handle his prosopagnosia now, but that wasn't always the case. Being a somewhat shy kid, the inability to recognize other people made it harder for him to make friends. He just feels disconnected from most people --- sometimes he looks in the mirror and can hardly register that he's staring at himself.
I'd imagine this is where his s/o comes in, and they become a very stable, comforting presence in his life until one day, they moved away without saying anything.
So to Noel, his s/o is someone that he knows on a deep and personal level, and he can basically recognize them out of instinct.
Of course, his condition still frustrates him very much --- what kind of lover is he if he can't even remember his partner's face? That's why he dedicates himself to remembering every single detail of his s/o: counting every freckle and lash; replicating in his mind the exact lilt of their voice, the quirks of their body language...
but maybe in a very cheesy way, he's thankful for his condition? because it means, every day, he can re-live how he met his s/o and the first experience of seeing their face ...
On another note, another anon sent this:
and the idea of "just vibes" is so funny to me for some reason. like if Noel was just out one day and spidey-sensed some random person as their s/o:
