Merry Christmas to all who celebrate and Happy Holidays to our American friends and fans.

In the year 3856 AD Christmas is an ancient festival practiced only on a few colonies. Santafest however is an incredibly popular secular holiday celebrated throughout the solar system. Santafest involves a lot of futuristic bastardized versions of Santa traditions.

These include of course.

- Secret Santa. A practice where everyone is assigned one random person in their local town or city to give a gift to.

- Traditional “Santa” foods such as spaghetti with maple syrup.

- Parades and markets.

- The hostage re enactment play. Every year a local is chosen to play the role of a historical hero who rescued a group of people from a terrorist in a skyscraper. At the end of the pageant the actor changes into Santa and gives gifts to children.

The actual Santafest “Santa” changes from each moon and Space station. Revati was raised for example by a Hindu father and an Athiest mother. Her friend and assistant tried to explain Santafest to her but she found if deeply confusing.

Equestrian Centre in Calonge

Spring is here and it’s perfect weather to get out and about. There is so much more to the Costa Brava than the beaches. In Calonge we have the Magna Center pony club to keep the kids happy and they also organise pony & trap trips via the vineyards for a wine tasting tour to keep the parents happy 😃
