SYNOPSIS... my original how they kiss post has been really well received so i decided to rewrite it in a different (and slightly more specific) format ^^

nothing feels better than the warmth of his hands.

ZHONGLI never carries an umbrella around, even when it's raining incessantly on the busy streets of liyue like now. his body doesn't get sick after all, he doesn't find a need for umbrellas and whatnot. but you seem to think otherwise, as the moment you open the door for him you're quick to go grab a towel.

"you're soaking wet! did you forget to grab an umbrella?" you nag at him, while drying his hair.

"no, love. i don't have umbrellas," he replies, calmly. you raise an eyebrow at him. "i don't need them."

"what do you mean you don't need umbrellas? what—oh. is it, is it because you're immortal? but you will still feel cold, right?"

"but i won't fall ill, love." and zhongli sees how evident you disagree with what he said.

you don't say anything, it scares him (he prefers it when you are scolding him, when you're not quiet). instead, you leave the towel on the table and take off his gloves, his hands enveloped by yours. and when you start blowing hot air onto his hands, zhongli feels his chest about to burst.

when the color returns to his hands, you embrace him, face hidden in his neck.

"please take care of yourself," you whisper, softly.

"i will. thank you, love, for everything," he whispers back.

zhongli reminds himself to buy an umbrella tomorrow at bolai’s. but tonight, he's staying in your arms.

DILUC's favorite moment of the day is when he comes home. because no matter how late it is, you're always there waiting for him.

it always goes like this: you open the door before he can (it's because you recognize his footsteps, or at least that's what you say), and then you smile at him while rubbing the sleep out of your eyes. you must have dozed off again while waiting for him; the drool on the corner of your lips doesn't go unnoticed by diluc.

and then it comes the kisses, one, two, three, on his cheeks, on his lips. while you kiss him, diluc always says "you didn't have to wait for me" to which you always reply with "i wanted to". and you help him take off his coat, his vest, his gloves. every time you take off his gloves, you always press a kiss on his hand before bringing it to your cheek.

"welcome home, diluc," you say, smiling sleepily. and those words make diluc's heart flood with love. he can't help but grab your face and plant a soft kiss on your lips.

"i am home," he whispers back.

the night is too long sometimes, but it is tiny routines like these that keep him grounded. diluc thinks that no matter how hard the day was, he can keep going as long as you’re there behind the door waiting for him.

CHILDE's life ended at fourteen. he doesn't remember much from his youth anymore, except the occasional fishing outings with his dad. he doesn't remember—he doesn't know—what children do, what toys they like and he definitely doesn't remember how to make snowmen; which is why he prefers to watch you play with teucer rather than join you two.

the snowman looks extremely curved, with droopy button eyes and a half-eaten carrot nose. there's something comforting about knowing that teucer gets to do things children do, things that childe didn't get to do. and childe knows, he knows there are things one is never supposed to get back. and in his case, it's his childhood.

but every time he sees you, he feels like a kid.

"babe, my hands are frozen!"

"what? let me see!"

you take off his gloves, so carefully, so tenderly (as you are). but the moment they're off, childe's hands are quick to plant themselves onto your cheeks.

"cold! childe! so cold!" you shriek, hands trying to pry his off from your face. but childe is firmly holding your cheeks while laughing like mad.

"sorry, just wanted to steal your attention a bit."

childe knows he's never getting his youth back. but he thinks that doesn't matter when being with you makes him laugh like a child every time.

"jealous that i'm spending time with your cute little brother, huh?" you tease.

he kisses your cheek. "yes, very much so."

KAEYA has never thought of his hands as pretty. the countless scars and cuts hidden under his gloves tell a tale that's far from pretty. but right now, with the wind blowing and you in his lap, he lets himself believe that thought.

"i love your hands," you say, holding his hands so lovingly, "so pretty."

he smirks. "you're with me only because of my hands?" he brings a hand to his forehead, "oh! you wound me, darling."

"stop being so dramatic," you roll your eyes before rubbing the rough fabric of his gloves with your thumb. "can i take your gloves off?"

kaeya nods. you struggle a bit taking off his gloves; the sight makes kaeya chuckle. when they're finally off, you take your time kissing each part of his hands: his palms, his knuckles, his scars and his cuts.

"pretty," you whisper after kissing all his fingertips, "so pretty."

"hm?" he gets closer to your ear. "i think you're prettier, darling."

kaeya laughs when the tips of your ears turn red. but it's true, kaeya thinks you're prettier than anything else in this world, in this universe. no sight in teyvat could ever compare to you. and kaeya hopes, he hopes that you're willing to stay with him in the future as well, when the entire world is against him.

he brings your hand to his lips before leaving a butterfly kiss on the back. "i love you. so much more than you think i do."

So you end up getting twirled around and getting swept off your feet. They can't help it, they just badly love flirting with you and making you flustered. And what if you're a great dancer? It becomes a story of who falls first (They do, and they fall hard for you).

Itto, Venti

Swing. These two are lovers of jazz and chaos. They like losing themselves in the moment with you. With each dance, they want you to feel like the world around you is a blur. They want you to feel like it's just you two in it. Itto teaches you all the grooves, and you end up having random dances each time you see one another. Venti likes dancing with you better when he's had a drink or two. It helps him get in the mood. But you have to watch them both before they get too rowdy.

Wanderer

He thinks dancing is pointless. He'd rather kiss you or take you somewhere nice as a date. But if you push his buttons and ease him into it, he'll pick up something or two. Okay, but imagine these two dragons are secretly in love with you and you are a traveler who travels around liyue and fontaine

You're friends with both of them, so you probably end up smelling like one of them.

Zhongli asking about his friend judge of fontaine, wanting to know every detail of his relationship with the hydro dragon, if the two of you are "very close". But of course, always hiding his jealousy very well and not letting you notice his hatred for the enemy dragon.

(There's just one detail, Zhongli always stays close to you with the intention of leaving his scent on you, so that when you return to Fontaine, so that Neuvillette will know exactly who the rival is that is competing for you.)

note !! it's been a while since i've written hcs for a lot! aaaah just some thoughts i had today (i had a few culture shocks here and there when i met up with new friends hahahah)

grabbing zhongli by the hand to dance and sing in the middle of the square because mondstadters live for the festivities! he quickly learns to freestyle dance along with you, moving with the crowd and cheers and wine. (remember that Tangled scene? yes)

kaveh wasn't sure how to react the day you ordered hard liquor on your first date. sure, your freedom and love for a good drink is one of the things which made him fall for you but wow– are you really gonna down that many glasses on a date? what do you mean you're still sober?

ayato finds himself in love with the way you sing. it doesn't follow the rules of inazuman opera at all; it's much more freeing (much like how his house help sings as he does chores) and you'd tell him stories and the history of your homeland in the form of songs. no mondstadter could ever forget the songs they grew up listening to!

heizou being almost appalled by your rather... robust and reckless nature. you don't have any backup plans whenever a situation goes south, you simply hold his hand, smile, and say "we go where the wind blows!"

diluc having chopsticks as part of your dining utensils because sometimes, you're more comfortable eating with it (let's not forget often having rice on the table! he must learn the joys of garlic rice with his steak <3)

dainsleif stays by your side as you offer incense and fruits to your ancestors. he whispers quiet prayers, bows when you do, and helps you clean their altars. he finds solace in the familial piety of liyuens– it makes him wish he could honor his ancestors with the same kind of peace as you do.

kazuha getting tongue tied over the language being so similar to inazuman but also so different– why are some of the characters the same? why are the meanings different? there's a bit of miscommunication in the start, but you both find your own ways to understand each other when words fail.

we all know gorou has always wanted to climb the mountains of liyue and you made it possible! meeting him by the docks and touring him around your home nation, you made sure to pick hiking routes with the most scenic spots, even managing to tour him around the jade palace and the floating lone island.

kaeya has no idea how you sit on the floor while being comfortable. you've made him sit with you once while reading a book, after that, his bones ached for days! shaking every time he stood back up!

albedo met you in the irodori festival- he painted you for practice and spark between you started. the long distance was difficult at first, but his long letters always had a little drawing of you and you'd send back the scent of cherry blossoms. klee would also send you letters, asking you to come visit soon!

childe loves a new fighting style; like most sword users in inazuma, you followed the raiden shogun's teachings– swift, efficient, and at one with the sword. he loves how you fight and it's often how you end your dates!

cyno was almost confident that you were playing a prank the day you said you'll make him your specialty and you showed him a platter of raw seafood. it's "sashimi and ngiri" you say, and he waited for you to explain the pun of your joke. it wasn't a joke.

thoma is quite used to mondstadters and inazumans, two very different cultures, then he meets you and your sumeru upbringing! you show him how to cook foods that can be eaten with hands, and your menu is often so colorful he can't help but admire it!

itto doesn't really understand the study culture of sumeru, but he totally supports whatever it is you're talking about and tries to add in comments (his comments don't exactly make sense though...)

scaramouche, in his "path of redemption and healing", unwillingly gets involved with you as you show him around the beautiful parts of sumeru! you argue that he needs a different, better outfit with a color scheme that matches his vision. he insists that the hat stays. you tell him he looks like an aranara.

al haitham was almost concerned the day you got a heatstroke after being in the desert for no more than a few minutes. snezhnaya has prepared you for harsh weather, but never the heat. soon enough your lover is carrying around heatstroke-first aid packs just for you.
