Genshin Impact Gf Headcanons

Hi everyone!

Part 2 of genshin impact gf headcanons is here yayyyy! This one was easy because I use our Liyue girls a lot~

Expect for ganyu I don't have her hahahaha-(I'm sorry ganyu mains)

REMINDER: These characters don't belong to me they belong to hoyoverse and all these headcanons might be occ/inaccurate so pls don't take them too seriously :3

Including: Ningguang, Keqing, Ganyu, Yelan, Yanfei and Beidou

(Liyue Girls)

~Tianquan~ (Ningguang)

~Flirty/Rich Girlfriend~

- She's rich and flirty, If you wore a pacific outfit or jewelry that she bought for you she will flirt with you, Her reason is because you look amazing and that she thinks your cute when your face is red~

- Since she's the Tianquan of the Liyue Qixing she's often very busy doing errands, business meetings and some duties outside of being a Tiaquan. But it doesn't mean that she neglects you, she actually makes time for you and prepares special dates and gifts just for you~

- She LOVES spoiling you. Don't bother telling her to stop she won't, She loves seeing you in expensive clothes and jewelry. Sugar mommy?-

- Your main dates are mostly dinner dates or shopping, you guys go to lots of places in Liyue when it’s her day off.

- Everything that you look at she’ll buy...even if it’s just a second she’ll buy it for you don't hesitate to ask her If you want this or that because she’ll buy it, anything for her love of course~

- But its a different story if you bought something for her. It doesn't matter if its just something cheap you bought or if you made it yourself! She will treasure it and buy you something in return!

- Everybody in Liyue knows you’re together, she didn't bother hiding it since she wants everyone to know you’re hers and she's yours :D

- Whatever you ask her to buy she’ll buy it all for you..all she needs back...is your love~

~Yuheng~ (Keqing)

~Tsundere Girlfriend~

- She would definitely be the tsundere type. Although she is a bit more nicer then a normal tsundere would...maybe-

- She gets shy with just one touch from you. Since she isn’t really used to being held by someone else, it might take her sometime to warm up to you.

- If you asked her to train with the art of sword she will gladly help you, she wants you to be able to protect yourself even if she isn’t there.

- Same for Ningguang, Keqing being the yuheng of the Qixing she is often very busy...even on day-offs she's still busy! But don't worry...she tries to make time for you :3

- When you both have the time to go on dates she would first take you on a restaurant and then shopping with her paying for everything, since mostly she wants to spoil you because she knows once she gets back to work you both won't be able to spend time together anymore.

- If you wanna stay at home tho..she will just cook for you both with her special dish(Grilled Tiger Fish). I hope you like seafood~

- If you give affection to her in pubic expect her to slap your hand or your face away from her she gets embarrassed easily so don't mind it :3

- Being the tsun tsun she is, she mostly acts a bit too harsh towards you, and sometimes because of this you both would get into arguments...but in the end you guys will apologize to one another~

- Even when she's a tsundere she loves you...she just doesn’t wanna admit it~

Nicknames: Idiot, dummy and love(Sorry I couldn't think of anything lol-)

~Pretty Secretary~ (Ganyu)

~Shy Girlfriend~

- Even when you both weren’t officially dating yet she was always so shy with you and it was really cute~

- Ganyu wouldn’t know what to do when in a relationship so you would definitely have to guide her about pda, being cuddles and affectionate stuff overall.

- If you just randomly kiss her or hug her her face will be as bright as a tomato, it’s really cute and she doesn't know what to do when you do that~

- As the secretary of the qixing she is often really busy even on day-offs like Keqing is....so whenever you both get the time to spend time together she makes sure to savor it because she doesn't know when she’ll have free time again....

- She would often gift you different types of flowers(mostly qixing flowers)!

- Your dates are mostly going out on picnics in gardens...she loves nature even if sometime she loves eating the plants lol

- When cloud retainer found out about you two she MEGA TEASED ganyu for it and went as far as telling you about Ganyu’s childhood which was REALLY embarrassing for our poor girl(-////-)

- Definitely teaches you how to use a bow. If you’re interested of course ehe~

- However, sometimes Ganyu is insecure about herself....whether it’s how she looks or how she acts she always finds a way to be negative to her herself...so...when she starts thinking these bad thoughts...all you can do is hug her, give a kiss on the forehead and tell her that you love her for who she is :3

- Since sometimes she's sleepy, she loves to take naps with you under a tree, with her laying on your lap...something simple as napping together is actually heaven for her~

- Touch her horns. Even if she gets shy about it...she actually will not stop you(just ask for permission first ofc)she loves the feeling of your soft fingers caressing her horns...it makes her feel relaxed and less tired :3

- Love with Ganyu is both pure and very wholesome, Your love for her is as sweet as a sweet flower and her love for you is like a flower being taken care of gently :3

Voice line about you: ‘’Oh hello traveler! Huh y/n? *blushes* w-why are you asking? W-well...there my lover of course....hahahaha..you didn’t expect that?’’

~Night Orchid~ (Yelan)

~Protective/Flirty Girlfriend~

- She's a mix of being overprotective over you and being very flirty with you, When she's protective she acts all serious and would always pull you behind her, When she's flirty she teases and loves making your face beet red she thinks you’re adorable and fun to toy with~

- Since she is apart of the Ministry of Civil Affairs she is often very busy and she sometimes might not even come home sometimes from the work she does...but don't worry she's just fine! Just doing...important things....

- Sometimes she might bring you with her at the yanshang treehouse, You sitting on her lap while she’s gambling with someone~

- While that person is all nervous about making a move all she has is a smirk on her face and her just caressing your tight and occasionally kissing your neck~

- She loves having you on her lap because she loves to hold you close and make feel safe and sound :3

- Like ningguang, She will spoil you like crazy! buying you expensive clothes and expensive jewelry and also treating to expensive restaurants...honestly...she has a lot of money to spend so..don't be afraid to ask her for something :3

- Sadly...she will hide away many secrets from you....since she doesn't want you getting in danger..and she also doesn't want you seeing some things that you won't be able to handle....

- She sometimes testes out some new tricks with her strings which ends in you being tied up and her just giggling at you-

- Even when some people may call her mysterious...thats what you find endearing and interesting about her...and she wouldn’t mind you unwrapping her yourself to you~

~Adepti Lawyer~ (Yanfei)

~Caring Girlfriend~

- A very caring girlfriend indeed she is your honor! Even when she's busy with her cases and other things that she has to do...she always finds time in helping you and also finds the time to check up on you!

- She’s busy day and night sadly...soo whenever you get a chance to be with her make sure to cherish it~

- If you both sleep at the same bed you won't be able to cuddle with her properly....because her horns are always in the way...her horns will smack you in your sleep so..sleeping close to her isn’t really the best idea hahaha.....

- If you want her to..she will rant about all the cases she has handle through out her day, its a way of her taking about how her day has been~

- If you make her a dish that has tofu in it she’ll instantly wanna marry you lol she thinks you’re perfect! and she will explore with happiness if you pack her lunch~

- If you get hurt while doing some commissions or just by accident she’ll immediately treat you...she doesn't like you groaning in pain nor seeing you hurt....so try to be more careful next time :(

- Whenever she has to go to a different nation to handle a case she always brings you back some trinkets as a gift for you! and there always base on how they’ll remind her of you :3

- Make sure you always look after yourself...or otherwise you’ll yanfei very sad :(

~Possessive Girlfriend~

- I see her as a possessive type of lover...since she is a pirate after all she is very possessive of her treasures and obviously you<3

- She also loves to spoil you! Just seeing you all dolled up just for her and using all the stuff she bought you makes her mind blank~

- When you’re in public she would always be holding your hand while walking or have an arm wrapped around her neck while walking, it’s a thing to show other people your only hers.

- She LOVES having you lay on her chest, she just loves the way you nuzzle your head in her chest she thinks its soo cute~

- You and Kazuha definitely get along..and Beidou’s happy that you get along with *ahem* her son *ahem*

- You also would get along with the crew! and they will tease you all the time regarding there captain but its fineee they’re just happy for there captain~

- Since Captain Beidou loves to drink, don't mind her coming to you all drunk and straight up flirting with you infront of everyone...she's shameless after all~

- If you get sea sick..just lean onto her and she’ll take care of you~

- If you cook for beidou she will instantly be head over heels for you(not like she wasn't before lol)she thinks your gonna be amazing as her spouse~

- Beidou LOVES kissing you, it doesn't matter if you’re busy or you’re doing something if she wants a kiss give it to her! She loves having your skin against hers~

- Even if Captain Beidou is always at the sea gazing at the infinite ocean...she will forever drown at the just one glance at you~

This is very self indulgent but like very busy yanfei who is always visiting this cafe (says bcus the coffee there is great) but is actually there to catch a glimpse of reader who is a florist on the other side of the road. Both litteraly fawning over each other with their friends and coworkers.

You kept smiling to yourself like a fool as you poured the milk into a heart shape, though a smile tugged on your lips your mind was running wild, how can it not when that gorgeous lady is sitting right there?? you don't know her name but guessing from the various books about law always scattered on her table you guessed she was a law student, or a lawyer.

You finally mustered up the courage to give her your number, you hesitated as you picked up the tissue with your number on it, aether's eyes were on you as his hands were glued to his phone, you guessed that he was updating the gc about your law student shenanigans, you sighed as you picked up a brand new tissue deciding to not go through with your plan.

"Stop being a pussy and just give it to her oh my archons, do it for me at least I am tired of your bullshit."

Feigning an offended face you decided to listen to your friend, you picked up the tissue with your number on it as you walked over to the law student's table, though unknown to you the said law student had been ranting to her private account about how amazing you look, she was stunned with how someone could look perfect while literally pouring liquid into more liquid, but in yanfei's eyes you always appeared perfect so she paid no mind to it.

Her heart did plenty cartwheels as she reached for the tissue, she was supposed to wipe her mouth with it, parallel to her you'd been on edge for the past 15 minutes, the gorgeous law student had been paying no mind to your tissue but instead focused on her laptop, but now that she saw it you couldn't help but hide below the counter, your co-worker trying his best to stop his laughter.

Well let's just say you received a text from a very beautiful pink haired individual later that day :)

You enjoyed the peace and quiet, which is why you easily found solace in the small cat cafe near your house, not only was the cats' company amazing, you secretly adored the barista that worked there, from what you've heared from his co-workers his name waa scaramouche, oddly you thought it suited the indigo haired man.

You've went on numerous rants about how gorgeous and breathtaking this man was to your friends and you're sure that they're tired of you however you slowly worked up the courage to finally talk to him, and today's the day!!

"hey?"

"..good to know?"

goddamn it he's cute but can't he just get the hint??

"look i think you're really cute, do you wanna watch a movie with me or something??"

The normally quiet and snarky man was nowhere to be found, the man who stood before you was completely flustered, a blush dusting over his cheeks as he directly avoided your eyes.

During his student years, he was pretty annoyed at your habits of constant fidgeting and rambling and awkwardness around him

Only until he started putting more thought towards your behaviours did it click that you were neurodivergent

Why did he start observing you more whilst putting away his initial disdain for you?

He grew to acknowledge your intelligence, as well as your determination despite your learning struggles, as well as your perfectly balanced emotional to logical side, and your…. (the list really goes on)

Even you were pretty confused how close you seemed to have become with the stoic man, but nonetheless, you were content that he no longer minded you (as often, he still did some occasions, but tolerated it)

Pretty much growed used to you, and you learnt to respect his boundaries

You were pretty familiar with the old lady, but only a few times did you manage to catch view of the legal advisor

Yanfei started greeting you with smiles, nods and a ‘Hi!’ when seeing you outside of visiting Madame Ping until you guys decided to sit together at lunch once

Started growing closer with you after lunch dates

Ngl, Yanfei probably wouldn’t notice your fidgeting and stuff, will never know you have ADHD unless you tell her

characters: Yanfei, Hu Tao. reader: gn, easily flustered. summary: your girlfriend wonders how'd you react if she petted your ears out of nowhere, so she decides to try it out. a/n: may get called a furry after this, but you know what? you're right. with characters such as Gorou and Keqing out there, can you really blame me? (I know that Keqing's 'ears' are just her hair, but that says a lot about her). currently listening to: Born For This by The Score.

— Yanfei tries her best to ignore the fact that you have cats ears since she has antlers as well, but she just can't help but stare at them and wonder how you'd react if she suddenly started to pet them.

— of course, at a certain point she couldn't resist anymore. can you blame her, though?

— the sun had already set a while ago and you two were cuddling on the couch after eating dinner, Yanfei being the one holding you as she read one of her many law books aloud. you weren't that interested in that subject per se, but her voice was so soothing that eventually, you ended up closing your eyes trying to get some sleep.

— your girlfriend kept reading for a few minutes before realizing you had already fallen into the arms of Morpheus, or at least, it seemed like it. letting a yawn escape from her mouth, she closed the book quietly and put it aside, only to find herself staring at you. at your ears. again.

— without thinking too much about it (something unusal in her), she put her hand at the back of one of your ears before starting to scratch it.

— a smile appeared on her face after seeing how your ears moved almost immediately, as if you were asking her for more. even though you weren't awake, Yanfei kept petting you for a few minutes, until she finally decided it was time to carry you to bed.

— the last thing she was expecting to hear after trying to move was your sleepy, raspy voice.

— "why did you stop? keep going, please..."

— "s/o? d-did I wake you up?"

— instead of saying anything, you just cuddled closer to her, slightly moving your ears once more.

— "...please?"

— that night, both of you fell asleep on the couch, but you didn't really care nor did you complain.

— Yanfei doesn't really tease you about your reaction that night, but sometimes she does mention it to see the blush that covers your face when you try to remember it. back then you were half asleep and you can't recall much, but honestly? you know very well you would react that way.

— to say that Hu Tao didn't want to pet your ears was a lie, and to say that she wanted to was an understatement.

— they look so soft, how was she supposed not to pet them?

— you and Hu Tao were taking a small walk around the streets of Liyue, holding each other's hand. your girlfriend was the one taking the lead, though: almost dashing when she wanted to check or buy something, pushing some people in the process. you just looked back and offered an apologizing look to them whenever that happened, hoping they weren't too mad about it.

— after a while, you both decided to sit down in order to take a break. not that you two were tired, but the sun had started to set and you proposed to watch it together, something Hu Tao couldn't refuse.

— her voice full of enthusiasm was the only thing breaking the silence, since most people were already home eating dinner. you nodded and eventually said something from time to time, a smile on your lips as you heard your partner's voice talk about things such as the last poem she wrote.

— "hey, s/o? come closer."

— "hm?" you were confused by her sudden request.

— "c'mon, I wanna tell you something."

— there wasn't really a reason to refuse, so you did just as she told you and made the distance between you two shorter. Hu Tao got closer to one of your ears as well, just like a little child who's about to whisper a secret to someone. you thought she was going to do that at first, until you felt one of Hu Tao's hand scratch the back of your ear. a surprised gasp escaped from your lips, slight blush quickly spreading through your cheeks. however, you didn't tell her to stop, nor did you attempt to get away from her. instead, you moved your head closer, giving her more space to pet you.

— "aw, look at you! so you do like it!" after that, stopping seemed so hard for Hu Tao. it was as soft as she had expected, if not more.

— you then realized that you weren't home, and that anyone passing by at that time could perfectly see you. even though there weren't many people on the streets at that time, it was... embarrassing at best.

— "Tao... let's go home" you managed to say. she raised an eyebrow.

— "already?"

— you sighed. "let's continue home. better?"

— after that day, Hu Tao's such a big tease, knowing that she can make you a flustered mess only by petting your ears. she can't help but giggle whenever you ask her for more.

Worship Styles

Yanfei- The Righteous

Gender Neutral. I will always use "The Divine One," "The Original," and "The Creator" as terms for the reader along with They/Them pronouns unless specified otherwise by a requester

In Liyue, legal proceedings evoke your name

And Yanfei knows greater than anyone that you want justice

She's spent her life studying your ways, and the rules of the Land of Contracts

Lord Geo may be your oldest supporter, but Yanfei takes the cake for her challenging ofhis knowledge

Who knew so many old rituals were hidden in laws? Rex Lapis surely meant them to persist

Ol' Zhongli would be proud to see a citizen of Liyue still practicing those old ways

But Yanfei also forgets to pray sometimes, she knows you'd understand, she's very busy!

She has no desire to be your vessel at first

Mostly because she feels like she wouldn't be what you're looking for

The Traveler and their team are so devout, and so powerful... Surely you couldn't wish to trade any of them in for her

And when you descend, Yanfei is placed at your right hand

While maybe an Archon should be there, Yanfei, along with some more knowledgeable citizens of Mondstadt and the other nations, are there to ensure you know what you're doing when examining laws and making decrees

Matchup for .... @lilithram

While being in law school, yanfei was your favorite senior. You may have not talked to her a lot but you admired her a lot for her fairness and fearlessness.

You studied criminal law and got many wrongdoers behind bars as an attorney.

After your work hours were over, you met up with yanfei while taking your night strolls with her.

You two got closer after you had a practicum under her. You were very awkward around her at first and barely spoke, only giving on point answers. Of course she didn't mind, assuming that you're the quiet type.

Throughout the time you got comfortable around her and talked to her almost every day.

When your practicum ended you were slightly disappointed, wishing to spend more time with yanfei.

Of course, yanfei felt the same so she met up with you every night.

She teased you a lot about how you were so shy at first and acted "cold" towards her but now you love spending time with her.

But you wouldn't openly admit it, you don't want to give yanfei more blackmail material after all.

Liyue. A place long past it’s era of poverty, the city has grown in Yanfei’s heart and also in size. It’s flourishing, to say the least. Folk music playing everywhere, people bustling about the streets, bright lights adorning the stalls, sparks of joy flashing in people’s eyes. But it could never feel right. For yanfei, at least.

Waves of time have eroded the rocks of Yanfei’s brain, but it never hit the coven that belonged to you. The hustle seemed hollow, the music obnoxiously cheery, Archons, the entire Liyue felt empty without you at her side. You, dragging her through the crowd, holding on it with a smile too wide to be just friends. You, who would listen to her talk, your smooth understanding of the situation easing her nerves. You, who promised----

“Yanfei. I don’t have much time left, but I want to spend it with you. I promise, even after I leave, my spirit will follow you everywhere you go, alongside you. With our red threads conjoined, we will be together forever.”

Until you did. You returned. She called, and you, dazzling, beautiful and gorgeous, finally came back . Your cheeks rosy, in better health than you’d ever been before, and Yanfei is delighted. You two can now look at the fireworks in full glory now, patches and sparks of gold and red and green, joy blossoming in both of you came back. Your smile seems to be laced with gold, eyes wide and attentive, so blissfully aware of the world around it, and so is Yanfei. You both are dancing a mesmerizing tango, intertwined with the stars, and the red strings once binding her are flying around, with the heat of a bright-red flame, finite and magical.

For once in a very long time, Yanfei thinks, I am happy.

SYNOPSIS: as you wait for yanfei to finish work, you can't help but think about alist you've made in your head about her.

NOTES: there isn't enough yanfei content out there so therefore I will create it myself. Also this is my first time writing on here. ever. help.

You sit there, pondering, pondering harder. Yanfei should be wrapping up her case soon, right? You've been sitting around for a while, in fact, you even bought food for yourself and your girlfriend and came back. Nothing. The food smells like heaven. Xiangling always makes incredible food, but there was no way you were going to eat it without Yanfei.

So you kept waiting. You can’t help but think about your girlfriend. Is everything alright? Is she hurt? You shake your head. No, Yanfei is more than capable of settling things without any violence. That was one of the many traits you loved about her. It made you think about this mental list you’ve been keeping in your head. The one called “A List of Things I Love about my Girlfriend”. You only started dating recently, so the list isn’t very long.

Yanfei is a very admirable person. She’s reliable, has a good head on her shoulders, always calm, and quite charming if she tries. Are these the reasons I fell in love with her in the first place?

I’ve come to notice that whenever we’re holding hands, she likes to rub her thumb along my hand. Or squeeze it when she’s really happy. Or has a firm grip on it when she wants to protect me.

She’s like a natural heater! When it’s cold and rainy outside she’s always warm no matter what. It feels nice to press up against her and wrap my arms around her whenever I’m cold.

Your thinking is interrupted when the door to the building finally opens, and Yanfei finally steps out. Her steps are slightly weary, her eyes droopy, and her shoulders slightly sagged forward. You frowned. It must have been a little rough inside. “Yanfei?”

“Oh, Y/N!” Yanfei seems to straighten up a little bit once she realises you were there. Her voice sounds tired. “Sorry it took me so long. The discussion got a little heated in there.”

“It’s all good.” you offer her a small smile, taking her hand into yours while you hold the food in front of her with your other hand. “I got food just now, and it’s still warm. Wanna eat it together?”

Yanfei seems to brighten up even more as she begins to smell the food, letting out a content sigh. As she begins to smile. “Mmm is that almond tofu? Count me in! Come on, let’s find a nice place to sit down and enjoy!”

As you walk with her, you smile to yourself as you add another point to the list.

Tofu brightens her day. And also her smile. It makes me happy to see her smile like that.

I also love to look deeper into psychology and love trying to figure out new things. i also love listening to music, and just riding my skateboard around my city at night (i tend to sneak out to do it with my friends). tbh i just want to feel free and not worry about anything or anyone. I speak only 2 languages, English and Spanish. Yanfei. Smart, strong, capable, doesn’t need your affection all the time, and is more than happy to give you shit. Oh, you read X book? You had thoughts about it? Why those thoughts? Why not these thoughts? Do you like bitches with a life plan and their finances taken care of? She’s already got a successful law firm. Want a girl that can just do whatever without you having to be there? She’s self reliant. Want someone to ride you and encourage you to improve yourself? How about having someone talk about all the uselesss people she has to deal with, inadvertently putting pressure on you to improve? She’s also a good choice if you’re one of those people that like to have some clear separation between friend groups, because she is frankly too busy to be interested in that unless you want her to be. The only problem I can see arising is that you two might get into arguments in the beginning because of your general communication skills, because she seems like the type to, at the sight of a problem, try and fix it, which is generally not a good way to go about that sort of thing, but the two of you seem like reasonable people; you would just need to have that talk, which is hard, but it’s going to be necessary in any job you take. It’ll be a challenging relationship, but if you can get over that main problem, it’ll be smooth sailing after that, and it would give you the self-improvement you’re looking for.

MISSION IMPOSSIBLE: GETTING YOU UNDER THE MISTLETOE FT. XIAO contents // pining, friends to lovers, siblings! hutao & qiqi, requited love notes // this is mainly xiao's pov and he thinks you don't like him back. also, if it's not implied enough, you're aware that xiao likes you but you want him to make the first move. i kind of gave up at the end when i was building this up. baba - dad, gege - older brother & jiejie - older sister masterlist

it was nearly time for the christmas party xiao's family is throwing and of course, his best friend who he is not at all in love with, name is invited. name always have been coming to his family's celebrations but why does it feel different now?

maybe because his sisters are trying to insist him to finally confess the feelings, he has had harboring for 17 years. "xiao, you can't keep stumbling around and acting stupid around them because you like them. it's kind of hard to watch, right, qiqi?" hu tao said, turning to the 10 years old on the couch. she was about to answer until,

xiao rolled his eyes, crossing his arms, "don't answer that, qiqi."

qiqi closed her mouth as hu tao kept saying, "qiqi, you know i'm right. isn't it hard to see xiao kicking his legs and giggling after name leaves."

xiao's neutral bitch face morphed in fear, wallowing in self conciousness. is it really that bad?

the little lavender haired girl paused to think about it and sadly, to xiao's demise, "hmm... jiejie, i do think it's weird to see gege with cooties. i think uncle baizhu has medicine for it."

oh god, it really is that bad.

letting whatever qiqi said sink into xiao's shoulders, hu tao walked away to the closet, pulling out a white board stand. it squeaked, hu tao said, "exactly, which is why i made a plan." on the whiteboard, it said in bolded letters, "mission impossible: xianame christmas edition".

if you looked closely, you could see the faint words of previous "mission impossible"'s that xiao rejected and hu tao had to wipe off. xiao was nearly go along with the plan but skeptical of hu tao because usually, she's a trickster, there's always something up her sleeve.

"another plan?" xiao replied, furrowing a brow. hu tao skipped around, chirping,

"yep! this time it would work, i swear." hu tao's hand resting on the board's shelf.

"you swear? you said this last time on halloween last year and scared name nearly to death."

"i didn't scare them to death..." hu tao trailed off. "they only fainted."

"isn't it the same?" xiao asked. hu tao could tell that he was growing even more skeptical of the plan. as his sister, she knew that she needed to swerve away from that and push him into confessing. it's really embarrassing to see him try to make a move only to get rejected or mid-way change the plan.

"no! anyway, my new and foolproof plan is that since it's christmas," hu tao flipped the board with her other hand. "we can use the mistletoe as our advantage and use it for a romantic moment where you confess your feelings to name. i even asked dad about this and he agreed to it."

mistletoe? isn't that kissing?

"really, you got dad to agree to this."

"yes, and sure you might catch cooties." behind them, qiqi winced out of ickiness. "but better than nothing right?"

xiao stood there for a moment, rethinking about this. "are you sure it would happen perfectly? we don't even know if name likes me back."

"ummm, maybe the christmas spirit would enchant them." hu tao shrugged as xiao's eyes narrowed.

"i don't want a spirit to enchant them. that's not ethinical."

"xiao, don't shame on the spirits. they're very kind, y'know. anyway, the offer still stands but for a priceeeeee." hu tao replied, smiling. smiling like the devil, xiao knew something was up.

"what is it?"

"invite your second bestest friend ever over." hu tao chirped, hands together in a ball across her chest. she patted her eyes, coming closer to xiao, as xiao extended his hand out, creating a distance between himself and his sister.

"who?"

"yanfei!"

xiao tilted his head, hands still crossed. "yanfei? im not friends with yanfei."

"but if you want this plan to really work..." hu tao trailed off, hoping the bait she laid would catch her older brother. until qiqi said, "gege, i think jiejie has caught cooties too."

hu tao nervously laughed, "qiqi, i don't think-"

"ok, ill invite yanfei to the party but if this little christmas plan doesn't work, you're not allowed to make any more, got it?"

"oh my god, thank you sooo much, gege!! you're the bestest older brother anyone could ever have."

it was almost time for the party, the house was decked out with decorations. although the usual red and green theme is what christmas is, xiao's family preferred the gold and red theme. in the kitchen, gingerbread houses were prepped to be put together. as dad helped hu tao place mistletoes around the house, giggling each time. "dad, isn't this bow kind of off centered?"

"hm, i do think it is off centered. do you want me to fix it?" he asked, holding onto the ladder. hu tao replied with a no.

if you looked around you would see the each archway of a room would have a mistletoe, although, none of them are upstairs in their rooms. qiqi asked if she wouldn't be kissed because she didn't want to go to uncle baizhu's home for the vaccine for cooties. xiao made a mental note to tell baizhu to stop telling her that cooties exist when in reality, they are not.

xiao was pacing around the living room again, qiqi was following him like a little duckling. "gege, are you worried about the plan? i think i have vaccines for the cooties. i think though."

"no, it's fine, qiqi." he picked her up, holding her. "do you think it would go wrong?"

qiqi huffed, "no. i see name and they like you. i think i saw them-"

xiao tilted his head, "saw them what?"

"ah, i forgot."

xiao wilted a little.

as the house is fully decorated and hu tao busted her ass off to make it as romantic and christmasy as possible. the door rang, alerting everyone in the family to turn around. is it who xiao thinks it would be? name isn't late but they're not always super early. just before xiao reached for the door, hu tao squealed in delight, racing towards the door.

"hii name!!! and yanfei??? woah, did xiao invite you?" hu tao said, acting all coy as if she didn't try to puppeteer the whole situation. xiao noticed that yanfei's face was flustered. as he thought, huh, it is requited.

"ah, yes, i think so. i mean! yes, he did." yanfei yelped, clearly nervous but hu tao most likely saw her as perfect. xiao averted his eyes to you and god, he thinks you just killed him. from your sparking eyes to your bright smile, your little wave and he can't compute.

xiao.chr ran into an unexpected error 404

you walked towards xiao, confused as to why he's just dazing off into nothingness. hu tao's conversation with yanfei blurring to the sound of christmas music. you poked his cheek, "xiaoo...?" seeing him go from reality from dreamland, which is strange, it's more like the opposite for the two of you. "are you there?"

"ah!" xiao yelped, blinking. huh, you never noticed how long his lashes were. "sorry, i was thinking about something."

"i could tell. what were you thinking about so hard?"

"gege has cooo-" xiao covered qiqi's mouth, "i was thinking of my grades after finals." as qiqi kept trying to talk, he made qiqi walk to hu tao and yanfei. "qiqi has a weird phase of saying cooties. sorry about that."

"no, it's kind of endearing." you replied, walking into the kitchen. xiao saw the little mistletoe above the kitchen's archway, afraid of kissing you in the moment, he redirected you to his room. "my dad's preparing something to snack on and he doesn't like being disturbed. um, lets go to my room instead."

"huh? but your dad loves when people watch him cook so he's not lonely in there." oblivious to the fact that the mistletoes were hung everywhere, xiao knew that hu tao had forgotten his own room. "he changed his rules."

you quirked a brow, "don't lie?"

"i promise i'm not lying." xiao said, trying to make himself sound not lying at all. until qiqi's voice replied, "gege, why are you a liar? i can see from jiejie's room that your pants are on fire. baba loves when people watch him cook."

"see, xiao, i can see what you're trying to pull here." you said. ypu're getting too close. very much to xiao's liking but to make a move? nah, he's good. seeing and loving you from a distance is good for him too.

"what are you talking about?" xiao said, pretending to be oblivious to what you're saying. you sighed and pulled him closer to you. he could feel the warmth from your face. he knows he's flustered by now. "you know what you're doing."

what?? i dont understand.

"what??"

"aw man, i thought this would bait you into telling me." xiao laughed mostly out of fear and anxiety. "you're just as mischievous as hu tao."

why did he compare you to his sister. it's over.

"ha! if i really was, you would've died by now."

he exhaled, "you're right."

xiao was too caught up in the conversation he's having with you, he didn't know that he was right under a trap, the infamous mistletoe. you began to whisper, "look up."

when he did, his face paled as if he didn't agree with hu tao's plan to begin with. but unbeknownst to xiao, you set up this plan with hu tao. you always had even though you had every other chance to make a move on him, he always took it as platonic.

"oh." you pulled him closer,

"ready?" even though he was about to answer, you interrupted him with a kiss. wow you could've saved yourself 17 years of this but you liked to play the long game. xiao just stood there for a moment just before he returned the kiss.

the kiss moment was broken up by a loud flash sound and qiqi crying about how you two would catch cooties. "we need this for memories, can you kiss again for the family album?" hu tao asked as xiao pulled away from your embrace to yell at her. you laughed, winking at hu tao, pulling her brother away from her.

bonus:

zhongli started to console qiqi, cradling her into his arms, "cooties don't exist, qiqi."

"but, baba, uncle baizhu said, 'cooties are very contagious. to cure it i have to get the vaccine from his house.'" qiqi began to cry as zhongli wiped a tear from her face.

"baizhu likes to tease you since you are little-"

"baba! i am not little. i have two digits, i am older now."

"of course, you are a big girl now." zhongli comforting his daughter again, grabbing a gingerbread cookie from the counter. she takes it and cries,

"yes, baba! im a big girl and uncle wouldn't lie to me wouldn't he?" zhongli placed her on his lap, sitting on the couch. "well, no, of course he wouldn't. this is like how jiejie treats gege."
