Let's do a three for three :D Or just answer whichever you find the most interesting
Tell me about the order in which your characters (in any WIP) will die in a horror movie
Which villain are you proud of making?
Do you have any repetitive tropes or themes in your story?
-Okay can't do Downfall because then they would just gang up on the villain/monster. The Box only has one character so can't do it either. The Assassin from Norm: Jeffery dies first cause he's a kid, then Charles who accidentally sets himself on fire while fighting, Theo then kills the villain/monster, and The Invincible Empire of course would survive regardless cause he's, you know, invincible
-The answer is totally Alius, he's just the worst. Fun fact, when I first started writing the Downfall series, I actually got upset about how monstrously evil he was and had to take a break, now I'm back and just making him way worse. I also really like The Angel of Pains description in The Box
-Not sure I actually entirely understand, but think I do. For The Box I'd say despair, for Downfall I'd say perseverance against something collosal, for The Assassin from Norm I'd say fighting against tyranny
Not sure if I did this right, hope I did

wizard, queem, witch, god plz
Wizard
Kristine "Kris" Stoneguard. She is essentially the fighter of the group, skilled with her halberd and hand-to-hand combat. She stands at 5'10 and decently muscular and lightly tanned skin. Her hair is short and black with an undercut, and amber colored eyes. She became mute after a traumatic incident, and communicates with sign language. Personality-wise, she is level-headed and reserved, but she lets loose around her team during moments of respite.
Queen
Literally the creation of the universe. I spent nearly all of last month fleshing out the pantheon of gods and their history (and prayers, tbh I kinda went crazy). Might not seem like something important right now, but it will be when the main plot twist comes to light.
Witch
In all honesty, it has evolved so much over the years that I can't remember what was the real catalyst for this idea. I will say that in its current form, it takes some inspiration from MSG: Witch from Mercury and RWBY. ifykyk
God
Yes, it does. I fashioned it after Greek Mythology, kinda, with there being three separate pantheons. I want to say that it is "right", mostly because it does not promote homophobia, xenophobia, honor killing, heretic punishment or anything like that. Folks have a choice in which pantheon or individual god/goddess they wish to worship, and no one judges them for it. The gods in this universe are very real and they can make themselves known to their chosen followers.
Thank you so much for participating 😁💚

kotlc's birth funds and economy..BoOm
Yes, the elven economy suuuucks and the birth fund money could probably cover two life times but I would like you to remember that elves live tens and hundreds of life times. That birth fund money isn’t going to cover all of that time.
So the birth fund is a way to manage the first hundred or so years of an elves life while they’re still figuring out what they want to do in their lives and what job they’ll get to keep getting money after the birth fund runs out.
ALSO bonus thought that I saw somewhere and hasn’t been headcannon proved false by cannon so I like to believe is that your birth fund is only activated once you get an ability so talentless communities never get a birth fund and is why they get stuck in small apartments.

1,3 and 6 for the asks
Thanks, Stray! Using the StormWatcher world.
1. Are there any foods with symbolic meanings that are eaten on special occasions? How did the tradition get started?
I haven't worked out all the specifics, but meat is sparse. So I can definitely see some pork, beef, or chicken being dispersed to the communities so they can have a special meal.
3. What's a rule or social norm that is wildly followed in theory, but in practice everyone knows it's not a big deal and breaks it all the time?
All community members are to stay indoors at all times. Short trips are allowed of course, but no one's allowed to linger.
Even though it's a "rule," most people find ways around it. There's not a lot of enforcement, especially during the day, so it's not all that hard to break either.
6. What is a common way to subtly insult someone in your world, without crossing into overt rudeness?
Honestly, I'm not sure on this one. One thing that comes to mind is offering someone your storm radio. That'd be insulting-- but not just entirely rude-- because it's essentially calling the person you offer it to unprepared.

You're a really neat dragon, I like it ! I always forgot about mythical creatures like dragon djebdhd ^^' but as you have a look close to irl reptiles, you'd probably be a 'dragon' or lizard hybrid
I should probably include dragons and other fantastical animals as possible hybrids haha

3 & 9 for the worldbuilding thing! <3
Thank you for this!
What’s a rule or social norm that is widely followed in theory, but in practice everyone knows it’s not a big deal and breaks it all the time? I asked @vacantgodling this too without realizing what a hard question it is. I feel like I must have come up with something like this at some point? But I can't even think of a good real world example.
What aesthetics are considered “advanced” or “futuristic” in your world - canvas wings, shiny chrome, smooth plastic? How has this changed over time? Metal, wires, fiber optics/glass filaments. This world generally developed biotech for communications and machinery long before its metal counterparts, and even though metal infrastructure isn't even new anymore, it had a pretty profound effect on how people visualized the future. Space travel-related aesthetics are also coming into vogue again with the Delphonus mission, but people are pushing the concepts further than before.

hiiii !! hope im not too late but stage , lake , and theatre for the ask game 💖
ask game: Worldbuilding Ask Game
Hey hi threeking! Definitely not too late! Thank you so much for the asks!
WIP: Anomaly
STAGE - Have you invented a language?
Oh man this is one of those worldbuilding questions that's like... does my world need this? Does it add anything? Would it help?
It's a future earth - like, way in the future. Building habitable underground cyberpunk pyramids future. To simplify things I'm saying they all speak the same language. Using the Hunger Games series as an example - that story is also set in the future but a universal language is never mentioned.
I'm still not sure if adding languages is necessary for the story I'm telling. I feel it would just complicate things.
LAKE - Who is the most famous historical figure and what did they do?
*digs through my old notes because I know I have someone important I made up months ago and forgot about*
The first anomaly - lived about 600 years ago, about 70 years after humanity moved into Pyramid Rho. He was only a Class C anomaly, meaning that his powers were very minor - he had an unusual eye color or could change his hair texture at will or something like that - but he marked the start of the separation between anomalies and normal people. He was ostracized because of his abilities and later in his life began to find more who shared his unusual abilities.
Generations later the first Class A anomalies began to appear, those with powerful abilities related to the elements or physical changes beyond what a normal human is capable of.
Still no name. He probably needs a name. I should find him a name.
THEATRE - What is the main form of entertainment?
Ooooh, good one. Depends on if you are a normie living in Layer Condor or an anomaly living in Layer Comet.
Since my main characters are anomalies we'll go with Layer Comet.
Lots of anomalies gather to watch the fights taking place in District Serpens. Class A anomalies are pitted against each other with healing anomalies ready and waiting while onlookers place their bets on who will win the round.
On a smaller scale, everyone has notescreens to watch their favorite shows on. Lots of anomalies also participate in hovercar (working name) racing - zooming under, around, and through the buildings and skybridges of Layer Comet is one of the best things to do at any time of day (because there are no regular day/night cycles given that they are underground) - provided the zenforcers don't catch them.
Thank you again @threeking!

Inadvisable tabletop RPG premise #137: Fantasy setting where wizard towers have approximately the same role and cultural significance as Cold War nuclear missile silos. It’s impossible to really hide the fact that you’re casting a high-level spell, and extremely difficult to defend against one, so all of the world’s greatest wizards are locked in a mutually assured destruction scenario; the moment any one of them tries to perform a world-shaping act of magic, all of the other great wizards will smell it and immediately respond by casting Fuck That Guy In Particular.
The setting otherwise superficially resembles a perfectly standard Generic Fantasy Setting, though any close examination will rapidly reveal how deeply its culture is informed by the looming knowledge that the world is perpetually one wizardly temper tantrum away from total annihilation, and the extent to which the conspicuous Generic Fantasy atmosphere is a deliberately constructed facade of business-as-usual over a howling void of nihilistic uncertainty.

We all know about weddings and marriage, but are there any ceremonies that symbolically / legally / magically officialize a different type of relationship in your world's culture? (Adoption, apprenticeship, friendship, etc.)
What's a rule or social norm that is widely followed in theory, but in practice everyone knows it's not a big deal and breaks it all the time?
Are there any trades or hobbies whose practitioners are stereotyped as weird or extraordinary? (E.g. the "mad hatter" trope.) Why? How true is this perception?
What are some cliches, tropes, and/or plots that commonly appear in stories written by your world's inhabitants? What were they inspired by? Why are they popular?
What is a common way to subtly insult someone in your world, without crossing into overt rudeness? Gifting an item with negative connotations? Addressing them more familiarly or formally than normal? Backhanded compliments?
If you pulled a random average Joe off the streets of your world and asked them to draw a house, what would they draw? (Shape, roof style, position and number of windows, etc.)
Is there a place in your world that nobody has ever been to - the bottom of a cave, the moon, another dimension, etc.? How do people know it exists? Why haven't they gone there? What do they believe it's like, and how right/wrong are they?
What aesthetics are considered "advanced" or "futuristic" in your world - canvas wings, shiny chrome, smooth plastic? How has this changed over time?
What's a fun fact about your world that you as the worldbuilder are dying to share, but nobody ever thinks to ask?
