They each follow their own main characters, navigating unique magics, gifted by gods, as they traverse their world of Ungode. It shall begin with Volume 01, coming out on May 7th 2024.

Here's a peek at one of the main characters: Aveline Wishwood!
Escape. Escape. Escape.
Aveline, more than anything, needed to escape.
And not for any reason of grandeur. She had no villain locking her in a cage, trimming her feathers until she could no longer fly away. She had no knight in shining armour with arms to soar into. She had no need to flee, at least in the eyes of a stranger.
But she wished to escape almost more than she wished to breathe.
With a book tucked under her shoulder, and a cloak hiding her distinctly royal features, Aveline hurried through the palace.
Her footsteps were as light as dawn upon feathers, and her eyes remained fixed to the glass-and-carpet floor. A glance upwards – at a guard, a lady, a maid – would surely give her away, but…
Aveline tensed her shoulders and surged onwards.
Between treasure chests, brimming with stolen silver, and around bookshelves that stretched from ceiling to floor. Through elegant arches and ballrooms and halls. Below sky-high ceilings and tree-limbs protruding through marble walls.
She passed through blessedly-open doors, too nervous to open any herself, and yet did not know exactly where she was going.
But she would find something.

Here's a peek at one of the main characters: Lucah Shot!
TW: BLOOD, DEATH
Lucah stumbled through the tavern’s rickety door, in such nauseous agony that his rough inelegance tore it from its hinges. As it fell into the uneven street, Lucah, too, fell. His knees hit stone, scraping through the ragged fabric of his clothes.
With a groan, Lucah collapsed into a ball, knocking his head on the ground and sending violent pain through his skull.
He would rather die.
Lucah had never felt like this before, though he had already thought he had hit his worst.
He had, it seemed, not even come close.
Whimpers tore through his teeth, each stained with so much blood that he could no longer recognise the difference between human and animal. He, to his horror, had gorged himself on both.
What kind of god had this kind of magic?
Did Lucah deserve the god of Blood at his shoulder?
The thought had Lucah shuddering, his whimpers becoming desperate sobs, tearing through his body like vomit.
Was he horrified at what he had done, at all he had killed? Or was he horrified by the taste of it all? The sickly sweetness. The part of him that adored this to his core. The part of him that begged for more blood, as if it would make him stronger than before.
Lucah buried his face in his wound-covered hands, and wished for someone in the street to destroy him.
Townsfolk passed him by. Townsfolk smelled the blood and the gore, both on his clothes and wafting through the tavern’s gaping maw of a doorway. Townsfolk wished not to be next, and so they sped up.
No one in this kingdom cared about the death of others. No one in this kingdom would celebrate or punish him.
Lucah wept harder.
Lucah wept until he was nothing but copper and salt.
And a boot hit the street right beside his head, so close that it sent vibrations from Lucah’s teeth to his toes. He yelped, rolling onto his back, and looked up, up, up at—
A giant of a man.
With crimson hair and matching eyes, this man must have also been of Blood. And with his regal clothes and bejewelled sword and scarlet-stained cloak, he looked alike both a pirate and a king.
He stared down at Lucah, and there was nothing comprehensible on that marble-carved face of his.
Lucah’s tongue, though coated in blood, went dry. All he could do was stare up at this marvel of a man, this man he feared and yearned for in equal, passionate measure. He did not even know his name.
Their eyes remained locked together for what may have been minutes; Lucah did not know. Time no longer worked just right.
“What have you done?” asked the towering man.
Lucah’s heart stuttered. “What?”
“What have you done?” The man’s gaze swept over the tavern behind Lucah, with its fractured windows and growing stench of blood and rot. “Did you destroy this tavern alone?”
Though every part of Lucah trembled, he gathered enough strength to nod. “Yes, sir,” he managed to say, his voice as hoarse as if he had been the one who screamed. Perhaps he had.
The man’s lip quirked, though his scarlet gaze remained as cold as a mountain. “You’ve of Blood, aren’t you?”
Lucah nodded silently.
“Do you worship your god?”
Bile covered Lucah’s blood-coated tongue. His long black hair cascaded down both shoulders like half-sticky worms. As he stared up at the towering man, he found himself sincerely shaking his head.
“What’s your name?”
“Lucah. Lucah Shot.” Lucah swallowed. “What is yours?”
One ring-adorned hand perched on the towering man’s hip. He seemed to look over Lucah again, though his eyes were difficult to track. “Dackon,” he said. “Captain Dackon of The Crimson Dead.”
A shiver danced down Lucah’s spine. As he repeated the name, it settled on the tip of his tongue like a needle.
“There’s space in my crew for a man like you.”
Dackon reached out, hand positioned like a royal awaiting a kiss to the knuckle. He made no other motion, and Lucah simply stared at the outstretched hand with a cautious, yearning bewilderment.
“Kiss my hand,” Dackon said, “and I’ll take you between my teeth.”

Aveline, the princess, wants freedom from her gilded birdcage.
Chrysanthemum, the hero, trusts too many vile villains and beasts.
Lucah, the pirate, will follow his blood-drinking captain until the end.
How will their love destroy them?
And, just in case that isn't enough, here is a oneshot set in the world that I've only just begun to explore! An introduction to Chrysantheum when she was but a hero-to-be!
How does it relate to the book coming out? You'll see...

Chrysanthemum quaked in her boots, like she was stood on the edge of a mountain, draped in a blanket of snow. The chill was sharp and unbearable to her core, ice piercing every muscle and vein.
Inescapable.
But Chrysanthemum was not on the edge of a mountain, nor was she draped in a blanket of snow.
Chrysanthemum was at a bustling port, bathing in the sunbeams of amber sunrise, warming her trembling limbs. A sea-salt scent filled the air, accompanied by the mud-and-wood scent of the forest and village that stood behind her. Seagulls cawed overhead.
“Pirates! Pirates! Pirates!” they cheered.
The seagulls did not know Chrysanthemum could understand them, could understand every non-word that spilled from their beaks. But ones with that Beast-speaking magic of hers were rare nowadays, and Chrysanthemum was not quite ready to expose herself just yet.
Her shoulders heaved with heavy breaths, her eyes momentarily fluttering closed, before she straightened.
With long strides, and a confidence her still-teenaged body did not hold, Chrysanthemum stepped onto the docks. Planks of wood squeaked below her every step, and she cringed each time, as if that would draw all eyes to her.
In reality, no one cast her even a glance.
Chrysanthemum held her bag closer to her side, squeezing the straps with a strength she was still somewhat unused to. Her hand slipped inside, checking every paper-wrapped sandwich and leather-bound fairytale and clumps of homemade bird-food.
Everything remained in place.
Chrysanthemum bit down on her tongue, and ducked her head to hide her marigold-yellow eyes from the closest passers-by. Those feline irises were a dead giveaway of the magic that lurked in her bones, and she was… not quite ready for this just yet.
She bit down on her tongue, and cast her gaze across the docks once again. Lips parting, she tried to call to one trustworthy sailor, but he hurried past as if he had not noticed her at all.
A woman dressed in the coat of a noble did not cast her a glance, even as Chrysanthemum reached to tug on her sleeve.
Chrysanthemum’s hands dropped, and a sigh of frustration slipped through her dry lips. Her tongue darted to wet them, and she straightened further, looking over the surrounding ships with a false confidence in her wide-eyed gaze.
Someone would help her; of that, she was sure!
They would take her somewhere else, somewhere new. They would bring her to her new home, or even to the quests she so vibrantly craved, just as canvases craved paint and dirt craved emeralds and bronze.
Chrysanthemum’s spine straightened.
She was going to be a hero. And she was going to do anything she could to twist fate into doing her bidding.
Her eyes fixed onto the nearest vessel, filled with intoxicated pirates and splatters of gore. They were cruel and untrustworthy, there was no doubt about that, but one of them called something to those that loitered on the docks, called that they would take anyone anywhere. For the right price.
Not for coins, silver and blessed, but for entertainment. If Chrysanthemum could beat their captain in a duel, she could get passage to anywhere in this part of Ungode.
Her hands tightened into fists.
Hopefully they would provide the sword.

If I was going to redo my book (out on May 7th) the only change I would make is that I wouldve given Chrysanthemum cat ears. She already has cat eyes but how hilarious would it be to have a catgirl fight a dragon
