Part Two Part One

Luke Castellan x Apollo!fem!reader

Comforting angst

warnings: character death, depression, lots of crying.

Days passed, days since your ki- hang out with Luke.

Hang out? Who were you kidding? It was clear it wasn’t him.

But you’d laid yourself bare to him, been about to confess all your feelings and he had just shut you down and run away.

Of course you didn’t wanna talk about it in the morning.

The tragedy was he did.

And just when you were feeling better, and your conversations weren’t so awkward, fate tossed you to the ground again, as it often did. You still didn’t really believe it.

Cecilia, your cabin counsellor, your beloved older sister had died on the road to college. It seemed impossible.

Of course, they’d had a brief ceremony, a burning of a golden yellow shroud weaved with her own fingers. And then they’d appointed you as cabin counsellor, announced a bunch of new kids had arrived and everyone forgot.

It made you sick to think people would forget Cecilia. That the three Apollo kids your cabin had greeted would grow up without her and never know of her presence.

Obviously, your cabin was upset, but they didn’t make it so as Aphrodite always did. The sun keeps shining, and Apollo kids kept going, laughing, training, even if muffled sobs could be heard the first few nights. They never talked of her, and after the first week, she was a sad little scar that had scabbed.

It still hurt a little, but the memory was what hurt the most.

Except for you. She was still a mortal, lethal wound for you. And it was getting harder and harder to keep your composure and pretend everything was okay.

Shortly, it all cracked and spilled out from you. It hadn’t been anyone’s fault really. Chiron was just trying to be supportive to little Will, but when he praised enthusiastically that he was the best archer he’d scene for 300 years, tears seemed to burst from you.

Because that had been Cecilia’s title. She had been the best archer, training all the little ones supportively and making people gasp with the precision of her shots.

It seemed Chiron had already forgotten. Everyone had.

It was like losing her all over again.

No one saw the little sun cracking on the archery field. They just noticed you disappearing behind some clouds.

You didn’t pay attention to the stares and whiplash glances of some, as you ran back to your cabin with tears streaming, and your heart in your throat.

Didn’t notice as a tall brunette boy on the sword plains spotted you, dropped his sword immediately and with a shouted apology behind him began to sprint after you.

Your bed was warm and comforting, the covers swaddled around your shoulders in a safe cocoon as you sobbed your heart and soul onto your pillow.

Cecelia was dead. Dead. This is what you would deal with every day for the rest of your life, she was dead and she would be replaced and forgotten and no one would even know her and-

The door creaked open and immediately you stilled, pretending to be asleep.

“Y/N?” It was Luke.

Not the timing, you thought to yourself miserably.

“Y-yeah,” you tried for a sleepy yawn, but it came out cracked and pained. Ugh.

“You ok?” He asked quietly, and you heard his footsteps approach.

“Yeah, yeah. Just woke up.” But your voice was hollow and very much awake.

He sat softly at the edge of your bed, and for a while you were both still. Only your breath was audible. Then, tentatively and slowly, you began to feel his warm fingers slide through your hair. It was so comforting and lovely that you had to swallow down the wave of tears that surfaced.

“It’s okay, you know,” he murmured, your hair in glorious tangles around his knuckles, “to cry. You don’t have to pretend. Especially for me.”

“Yeah, I know,” you whispered back, “it’s just-“ you hesitated.

I love you.

I don’t want to burden you with all my stupid problems.

“You probably don’t want to talk about this to anyone, right? Me included.” He guessed, and he began to retract his fingers and you felt like screaming at how utterly wrong he was. “I’m sorry, I should give you space.”

“No, you don’t have to. You can stay here.” You tried not to beg, but you were inches from clinging onto him to stop his departure. He understood.

“Would you like me to stay?”

“Yes. Please.”

“Then here I’m staying. In your bed.” He reassured comfortingly, “I mean, on.”

His flustered stuttering made you smile weakly and turn to face him.

His whole face softened, lost all his fluster and stress when your eyes met, but you were too busy setting your head into his lap so you faced up at him to notice.

He traced your tear tracks, brushing any remaining ones away with his thumbs.

“I know the pain feels awful,” he said suddenly, “but if you ever feel bad, like you can’t breathe or you’re about to burst, don’t keep it in y/n, come find me. I’m always here for you, always.”

“Thank you.” You said near inaudibly.

“I hate seeing you cry,” he confessed, his forehead crinkling, “or being sad. It just hurts me. But I love making you feel better, I’d do anything in the world to make you happy, I promise.”

“Thank you.” You said louder this time, your cheeks beginning to heat up.

It was a peaceful few seconds you gazed at each other, smiling. Then you closed your eyes, comforted.

You felt warm hands lift your body, and your eyes fluttered open. But it was just Luke lying down beside you and repositioning yourself on his chest.

“Sorry,” he murmured, “just figured we might be here for a while.”

His arms encircled you, and even in your drunken state of misery, your heart rate sped up. You turned your head slightly, so you could hide your bashful grin in the orange folds of his shirt. His chest was warm, comforting, and you could feel every deep breath he took.

“Sorry,” you murmured, facing up once more, “your shirt’s probably going to be all soggy after this.”

“I don’t mind a soggy shirt if it makes you happy.” He breathed, and your heart was bursting from the love that statement invoked when you saw his eyes flicker. Your eyes. Your mouth.

Could he really-

Surely not-

Eyes. Mouth.

The air was electric, as if Zeus himself was in the cabin. The space was getting tighter and smaller and everything was so close and dizzy and what in the gods before you knew it you were nose to nose and you could feel his warm breath and he was leaning down to kiss you against the pillow.

It might’ve been the best kiss you ever had. With salt on your tongue, and sweetness from his lips, the tastes of all your emotions were combined, giving way to the most passionate and fantastic kiss you’d ever had. Your head was pressed to the pillow, and he was moving above you, warm, soft and pouring his heart out to you, the gateway his lips. It seemed every single ‘I love you’ either of you had ever been too afraid to say was expressed strongly now, each drop of attraction and love and feeling was encapsulated between the movement of your lips.

“I’m sorry I didn’t stay,” he breathed, against your lips, when you finally pulled apart, both of you panting, “I didn’t want to do anything while you were drunk. But of course I wanted to. I wanted you. I have for so long.”

“It’s okay. I have too,” and you laughed, all those emotions and secrets finally free. You were so giddy with joy! But Luke remained tense, nervous for a reason you couldn’t determine. You calmed down, scared it was all about to come crashing down.

“It’s- it’s not just that, y/n,” he paused, sitting up further away, eyes still looking profoundly into yours, “I love you. I love you, all of you, and you should know that to me you’ve never been a burden, only a miracle to have been with.”

Your breath was caught in your throat, blown away by his confession. You were expecting he might’ve been crushing on you? But loving you? You’d never dared to consider that as an option. And you were beyond thrilled.

“Now would be a great time to say anything,” he laughed nervously, fingers brushing over your shoulders restlessly. You immediately felt awful for keeping him waiting.

“I love you too.” You blurted, letting silence ensue. “You make me so happy every time you make a joke or take care of the new unclaimed kids. I’m just in shock.”

And then the pair of you were laughing together, foreheads pressed together before you were tangled in an embrace, that led to another heated kiss on your bed.

You knew soon other campers would arrive to see two head counselors kissing, but you couldn’t find it within yourself to care. In fact, while Luke’s like we’re on yours, you couldn’t seem to form any coherent thoughts at all.

In the back of your mind, you were still sobbing over Cecilia. Deeply, you knew you always would. Your heart would always be chipped in that way, the missing fragment forever in her fist as she wandered Elysium.

But you also knew how happy she would be to see you thriving, dating and loving Luke, a boy she had always suggested and approved of. She imagined her now, giggling in delight and grinning at what had transpired. And slowly, the pain began to lift.

Maybe a scar would be okay, as long as you loved and remembered it.

Most of all, you knew that for as long as you required a shoulder to make soggy, Luke would always be there to be your comfort person.

has dinner 95% done by the time you get home, so you have regularly scheduled back hugs while he's at the stove

doesn't strike me as super physically affectionate; would probably be more comfortable receiving it than instigating

would be a crime to let those shoulders go to waste, though, so put your head on it

wants you to put your feet in his lap while you're on the couch but DOES NOT want to touch them (rip taehyung)

LESHYCATT i actually got an ask regarding my own yellow cat so a ref of them is coming soon but their name is aster! and they love leshy a lot here are some hcs

- aster not only works as a farmer but as a bartender!! they allow leshy to help w them at the bar :) thats why leshys there in the sins of flesh trailer

- aster cooks for leshy bc 1. he is blind. and 2. he cannot cook. luckily it gives aster creative liberty and leshy will eat it as long as aster covers it in camellias

- aster is very good at fighting!! they were the fighter of their family before they joined the cult and carries around a garden trowel as their weapon of choice

(aster accidentally stabbed leshy in the head with their trowel once bc he scared them. they didn’t talk for a month. aster still feels bad about it to this day.)

as for my killed the cat au (yes that’s the name!), i’ve got a good portion of the first chapter done!! expect it to release in the next few days!! here’s a few thing for u guys :3

Get to know the mun

What made you pick the current muse(s) you have ? I always like to say the muse chooses, I don't choose them 😂 But of course, I always write characters I love! If we're speaking about Aerith's case, I wrote her for a few years and I had a lot of fun, and I felt like writing her again. She's such an interesting character to explore because she's very complex :3

Is there anything you don't like to write ? I don't write smut ? This is the first thing that comes to my mind, but also extreme violence or physical abuses. It's not my cup of tea at all!

Is there anything you really enjoy writing ? Everything that allows me to deepen my character! Very strong feelings, for example. Anger, sadness, love... anything thing, but when they feel strongly, it's always very interesting to write! And I also love to explore parts of the canon that was briefly mentioned but not shown, for example.

How do you come up with headcanons ? It's very random, actually 😂 Sometimes, it's because I'm playing the game and it makes me think of something, sometimes it's because of something that happens in a thread, sometimes it starts with discussing with irl or rp friends... it really depends!

Do you write in silence or do you play music ? I mostly listen to music because I think it's relaxing and it allows me to concentrate, even if sometimes I'm too passionate about the songs I'm listening to 😂 I like to make playlist for my character, too! It's always interesting, and I love listening to my mixes on Spotify, too, depending on the mood of the thread.

Do you plan your replies or wing them ? I mostly wing them, but sometimes when I read someone reply, I might have an idea right away so I note it in the drafts. It doesn't mean I'll keep it in the end, but I often do.

Do you enjoy shipping ? I do, but I prefer to ship with people I talk with ooc at least a bit. It really is just for my own comfort, nothing personal haha! And I prefer to have a small number of romantic ships because I love to explore different kinds of dynamic. I'm open to it though of course, and I absolutely adore my ships :3 I like when they come naturally through interactions, these are the best kind 🥰

Last movie you watched ? I'm pretty sure it's The Eras Tour when it was released on Disney plus! I saw it before but I needed to watch it again, and that full version haha :3

Last show you watched ? I did a Cardcaptor Sakura rewatch for the first time in so many years LOL

Last song you listened to ? "Watermelon Sugar" by Harry Styles

Favorite food ? I'm a seafood girl! Anything with seafood, and sushi too! These always make me happy!

Favorite season ? Summer! When it's warm and comfortable in the evening, not when it's humid though 😂 Swimming late in the evening is the best though!

Jumping to Wonderland Information Page

The Jumping to Wonderland Series is pretty much my main work. The majority of my writing has been for this two part (...) series. It starts off with 'Something like a Spiral' which is an OC insert to The Stand's canon events, specifically the 2020 version. The second is 'Just Keep Diving Down' which opens up the playground to other worlds, more OC's, and more Stephen King references.

As of right now, I have no plans to expand, but I've left it open enough that if demand or the right urge hits, I could take it and run. Continuation, spinoff, flashback one shots. We'll have to see if these characters release the muse reins anytime soon...

Random Bakusquad Headcanons of Mine:

Types of music they listen to -

Bakugo: Hard rock, metal, alternative rock, and occasionally lo-fi to calm him down (blame Midoriya and his therapist). He pretends to be annoyed by his friends music tastes but he really doesn’t care all that much on road trips. Kirishima: He doesn’t have a particular favorite, to be honest he kind of just vibes to whatever. But he absolutely jams out to “Cool Kids” and “Cooler Than Me”. He definitely had a My Chemical Romance phase in middle school so he’s responsible for “Teenagers” being in the Squads Playlist, which actually made Shinsou genuinely smile when he first joined their squad. Kaminari: Anything dubstep or EDM, this boy is a hardcore dancer and no one can convince me otherwise (I especially love the idea of him being amazing at shuffle). He usually dances around with Mina when he turns one of his playlist on. Sero: He loves Latin music since it helps him stay connected to his heritage, although he loves vibing to whatever his friends listen to as well. The fact that he speaks Spanish makes it hysterical whenever his friends are playing a random Spanish song about sex and they don’t understand it. Ashido: She absolutely loves western music and rap, especially when it’s female rappers because of how aggressively fun she finds the lyrics. She probably listens to Megan Thee Stallion, Cardi B, ppcocaine, Doja Cat, Maliibu Miitch, and a lot more. Catch her dancing and singing along to vulgar songs with Kaminari. Jirou: She loves every type of genre and is capable of picking out something she loves in a song that is absolute garbage, she will appreciate every song out there even if it takes effort. Although she has a soft spot for the song “Somebody I Used to Know” and listens to “Jenny” whenever she thinks about her seemingly one sided crush on Yaoyorozo. Shinsou: Genuinely doesn’t know what he likes the most but he definitely listens to My Chemical Romance and he isn’t sure whether or not he finds it embarrassing. He kind of listens to songs he can vent/relate/lowkey jam to, like “Control” “I Am Not a Robot” “Cool Kids” “Stressed Out” “Parents” etc. If you listen really closely you can sometimes hear him softly humming “Electric Love” while looking over at Kaminari during class (he doesn’t even realize it, as Sero puts it he’s absolutely whipped for that dumbass). Utsushimi: While she isn’t able to hang out with them constantly, she definitely influences their music taste a bit. For some reason she has a strong love for kpop and western music/rap, when it comes to kpop you’ll find her crying literal tears of happiness whenever a Japanese version of a song releases. She probably hardcore vibes to songs like “Body” “Give Her Some Money” “Tia Tamera” “S.L.U.T”while also vibing to “LA DI DA” “Kill This Love” “Hip” “Style” etc.

Shinsou quotes Ghost Stories and everyone both loves and hates it so much, this is one of the reasons why Bakugo doesn’t care that he hangs out with Monoma instead sometimes (they both binged Ghost Stories together so they quote it together). Monoma, from across the cafeteria: WELL SHES EITHER A BITCH OR A GHOST. Shinsou: RUN SHES A GHOST AND A BITCH Bakugo: oh for fucks sake.

Every so often you’ll hear someone go “sheeeeesh” from Bakusquad and no one knows who it is, it infuriates Bakugo to the point where he openly threatens to slam them through a window. Random things you’ll hear them say on a daily basis - Kirishima: that’s not very plus ultra of you. Ashido: RIP THAT PUSSY AYY— Kaminari: gotta go geT SOME DICK TODAY—Shinsou: Well I might as well just die today. Sero: I’m finna act up— Bakugo: I don’t know who the fuck those losers are?? (As he gestures to his squad lighting a barrel on fire)

Surprisingly Sero has the best drip in the squad, Kirishima is pouting in the background with his limited edition crocs.

Kaminari dresses like a stereotypical twink and that is a fact (he got the crop top, shorts, and fishnets once he finally catches a sense of style in second year, thank the fashion police Aoyama and Monoma).

The Wicked Witch of the East argument definitely happened and it was between Bakugo and Sero.

Kirishima absolutely told the squad about how Kaminari basically called Shinsou hot to his face, he was teased for weeks but it was worth it in the end (he has a hot goth boyfriend now).

Kaminari fought to have Shinsou in Bakusquad and just barely won because Ashido mentioned that it was a possible love story in the making, Midoriya and Uraraka gave in because of that.

Although in the end he’s still considered a part of Dekusquad as well, the only two reasons why he hangs out with Bakusquad more is because 1. His boyfriend is in Bakusquad and 2. He’s not allowed to vape/smoke weed when he’s with Dekusquad because Iida won’t let him. He’s also dragged along with Monoma’s squad so he’s constantly being tugged around different groups.

He actually has his own squad but he’ll be six feet under before he admits that (Squad Members: Monoma, Hatsume, Yoarashi, Shishikura, and Utsushimi). If you want to understand that dynamic just watch my “Shinsou & Friends as Tiktoks” compilations lmao.

They all have tiktok, although they also share a group account called “Bakusquad Shenanigans” that records their “best moments”. Their most viewed compilations of each member include: “Denki is a Dumbass”, “Shinsou is an Icon”, “Sero is Mexican Guys”, “Kirishima Being Concerned for Three Minutes”, “‘Kacchan’ Being Whipped For His Boyfriends”, “Why Camie is a Snacc 😩💕✨”, “Mina is Also a Dumbass”, “Jirou Asks the Boys of 3a ‘Girl Questions’”

Sometimes Ashido will burst into her friend dorm rooms when they forget to lock their doors and shouts “HAVING SEX??” She regrets doing this sometimes as she has caught her all friends in the act at least once in fact -

Shinkami: Twice (she cackles whenever she recalls this, Kaminari didn’t really care but Shinsou was mortified the first time it happened)

Todobakudeku: Once (This actually got her to start knocking on those threes’ doors)

Serozaki: Three times (she has apologized profusely each and every time because Shiozaki deserves better, although she could care less about how Sero feels. The best part is they weren’t even doing anything that serious, it was legit just them making out)

She’s an absolute hypocrite because she would be extremely pissed if anyone did this to her and Kirishima

(If you wonder why I ship Sero and Shiozaki it’s very simple: it started off as a crack ship because I love the Stoner! Sero headcanon and I refuse to believe that Shiozaki doesn’t smoke weed as well. Now I see them as a genuinely wholesome and loving couple that are very much supportive of each other)

When they were bored they made a ranking of who’s the hottest (they don’t consider the last person unattractive it’s just that they’re all really attractive):

1. Shinsou - Kaminari is completely biased and the others just agreed with this selection because it’s the right choice (except Bakugo of course)

2. Bakugo - Best believe he was pissed when he got second place, he called his boyfriends and bitched about it (cue Midoriya offering sympathy and sweetly complimenting him while Todoroki cackles in the background)

3. Kaminari - He’s satisfied because he knows for a fact he’s pretty as hell, plus his boyfriend is the winner so suck it guys

4. Jirou - She genuinely didn’t really care what she ranked, since she already knows she’s attractive

5. Ashido - Lowkey salty that she wasn’t higher but understands because damn are all her best friends unfairly hot.

6. Sero - High key salty and bitched about this ranking as soon as he saw the paper, the squad had to give him a group hug and shower him in compliments to make up for it because “damnit yes Sero you’re a hottie too”

Camie wasn’t allowed to enter because her natural beauty is leagues ahead of theirs, they call her a goddess for a reason 💅✨

Jake absolutely loves the fact that you're way smaller than him

He would feel even more the need to protect and keep all of you just for himself. He finds it so cute, especially when you wear his sweaters and t-shirts, and then realizes how they look like a wedding dress on you

He would purposely buy you clothes that are two sizes above of your actual clothing size, using the same lame excuse that he was mistaken and then apologize with a malicious smirk on his face

"I'm sorry honey, next time I'll get it right. But, you know... you can always wear it without anything underneath." he would wink at you, leaving you alone in your room, speechless and with reddish cheeks

"Idiot..." you would reply playfully, an enormous smile planted on your face

Everytime you were searching for something and Jake knew where it was, he would grab it and put it above his head, making you jump several times in an attempt to try to catch it. This obviously annoyed you, yet he would laugh at you, admiring your failed attempts and cute, yet angry expressions. However, if you got really mad, he would stop right away because above all, he respects you with all his being

Nevertheless, other times he would help you and grab whatever you wanted that was out of your reach, which made you smile at how kind and willing he was to help you whenever you needed

"Thanks, honey."

"Anything for you, my little dove."

Whenever you wanted to go to a concert, watch a big league game or go to a certain place where your height wouldn't allow you to see what was happening, he would always pick you up and put you on his shoulders, giving you a piggyback ride so you could have a good view at it

His favorite thing to do with you is grabbing you in bridal style to take you anywhere: to the shower, to the bed whenever you fall asleep after watching a movie with him, when he takes you to the bedroom when things get heated, when you need to get out of the bed but are too lazy to do that, when you dance, when he gets playful and pretends to catch you... or when he got drunk one time and pretended you were at your actual wedding

He says that your hugs are his favorites, since he can hold your whole body while resting his chin on top of your head... you truly belong to this gorgeous man's heart

There was one time when he went shopping and passed through a dog kennel, and saw these two little puppies playing together. They immediately reminded him of you, since you always had been an animal lover and... well, small and cute

You couldn't help, but cry at this heart touching scenario: the fact that your wonderful boyfriend remembered and did this for you, the fact that now you had two gorgeous doggies to take care of, or because now Leo has company whenever you both can't be at home

"You... you really did this for me...?" you weakly asked, the fresh, happy tears now making their way down your warm cheeks

"Of course, silly! You know I would do this and so much more for you. Come here." he pulled into a tight, warm and comforting hug, giving you time to release excess emotions from your vulnerable body

"Thank you so much, baby. I love you way too much, and I can't handle so many strong emotions for just one tiny little heart." you joked, making both of you laugh in synch

"That's why I don't cry, because my huge and strong heart can carry all of my love for you." he confidently said, making you step back from him and give him a challenging look right after

"Jacob Benjamin Gyllenhaal, you're such a liar! I can't even count how many times you cried when listening to our playlist or whenever you say you love me!" he looked stunned when he opened his mouth and placed his hand on his chest, pretending to be offended by your statement, even knowing it was true

"Ok ok, fair enough, you got me!" he accepted his defeat and smiled at you, pulling you into a passionate kiss, only to be interrupted by the two little guys who desperately wanted your attention

"What names should we give them?" you asked, not being able to decide your new puppies' names

"I don't know... maybe we should ask Leo." the two of you looked back to where Leo and the puppies were playing together, realizing that the new family members gave up craving your attention, and decided to meet their new best friend instead

"Seems like they already made a friend." Jake commented proudly, seeing that now your family has grown even bigger and even more filled with love than before

aesthetic, playlist & headcanon — decipher’s 13th year anniversary

summary: decipher debuted on may 25, 2008 under bc entertainment. debuting as young fresh faces means that in 2021, thirteen years later, decipher’s still managing on as a household name. one of bc’s longest running groups with no members leaving nor the lineup changed, decipher remains a strong force that still (somewhat) takes over the charts today. despite taejin’s distaste for idol world, if there’s one thing he’s able to accept — it’s that his members are his heart and soul. playlist summary: thirteen years, and decipher’s released so many albums / mini-albums etc. taejin’s been vocal about what songs he likes and which ones he doesn’t as with any other idol and their respective discographies. however, this playlist highlights what taejin considers the “peak” of decipher, and how they were able to climb up the ladder and create a name for themselves. yes, there were detractors questioning decipher’s young age and their talents, but these songs have given substantial proof that 1) decipher deserves their clout and 2) decipher and their performance / live vocals are no joke. warnings: none wc: 778

thirteen years!! there’s probably a headcanon that i did for the twelfth year, but this one is for thirteen

thirteen is an unlucky number, but taejin doesn’t care — it’s just one step closer to fifteen years, and at this point, seeing as how decipher isn’t facing disbandment anytime soon, taejin just wants to hit that fifteen year mark right now because it just shows decipher’s been a household name for a very very long time

it’s shocking to him that his career spans almost a decade older than these newer boy groups (vive and quicksilver will be his 10 year younger hoobaes :’( )

still, that’s still something to be proud of, taejin supposes? like it’s more of a wistful thinking that he’s been able to manage this long inside an industry while being able to pursue his own individual adventures

luckily, aside from this quarter — decipher’s been relatively free meaning they haven’t been on the top priority for bc’s releases, giving decipher free-range to pursue individual activities

taejin’s spent that time acting and serving as faces of various brands, but in reality — he’s still an idol at the end of the day

despite his dislike for the idol world right now and finding decipher’s releases in current day more mundane, he looks back at his previous years with some fondness

like there’s nothing comparable to what he felt in 2008? especially because he was so young, the bottom of the pole and now he’s this bigger name where the people he debuted with are either disbanded or not around anymore. meanwhile, decipher’s still kicking and relatively doing well in terms of sales and charting

even though decipher hasn’t expanding sonically in the past few years, taejin says that’s okay. well, at least to him because 1) that rids the hard choreography and 2) decipher’s already been well around the block experimenting in different sounds. aka they did so much of it early on that by now, he has no regrets

being a leader has it’s hardships as well, mainly because he serves as a figurehead for his group. it’s been like this for so many years, but now he feels a bit guilty because he’s been so far off in his own activities that he hasn’t been able to keep up with his group

this means he often forgets steps, forgets old lyrics when decipher is forced to perform on stage

plus, he’s gotten a lot of promotions because of his dramas / brand deals, which also isolates him a bit from his members. this leaves this unacknowledged guilt he can’t really bring up to his members, so he tries to compensate in other ways by checking up on them and making sure they’re doing okay

(at the end of the day, they’re brothers. so, taejin will have it as that and know they have his back just as much as he has theirs)

honestly — taejin’s just really proud of decipher as much as he hasn’t talked about it that much publicly. he’s just proud of how much they’ve gone through? it’s cliche to say ups and downs, but really — decipher’s had about everything thrown their way in terms of what bc gives them and throws them into

over a decade, and bc’s still proud of flaunt decipher as their “poster children’ for good behavior. sure, maybe minor scandals have affected the members here and there? but generally, they’re well-received and plus, decipher’s managed to hold a consistent music career.

it shows their fans are still caring about them, even if they’ve out grown the “nuna” fan phase. now, their newer fans are a lot younger than them, but for the most part their fanbase stays consistent

i guess taejin’s just proud that they’re a rock-solid combination that still can kick it on stage

and taejin won’t admit it out loud, but he always keeps inside his head that decipher can out-sing any of the groups (no offense to these other groups) but decipher’s able to manage as a group, a complete live performance with no back vocals / relying on backtrack because they are that STURDY live

and taejin lowkey judges every group that relies on their back vocals and can’t sing live lmao he will talk shit with his members and bring out the latte talks, saying “man idols these days can’t sing and dance? back in our day we didn’t have any backtrack!”

2008 till now, taejin’s proud to say he’s decipher’s leader. just not happy to say he’s an idol <3

to be fair, taejin’s vocals are also still top tier as they were when he debuted :~)

BIOGRAPHY

jude cecilia sommer grew up san francisco with two other siblings and found her peace in poetry and towering trees. her only good childhood memories always revolved around walking through the redwood forests and feeling so small in a world so large. it made her world, her worries, her pain seem so insignificantly small. it was her safe haven.

her parents divorced when she was fairly young and her father was quick to move on to a different life of his own. jude, nor her siblings, every really fit so well in that new life, and soon enough, her father became a mere stranger. just a simple phone call on a birthday and an empty card. he remarried and had more children, but they never felt like family to jude.

she was raised by her mother, but the word raised was a term best used loosely. her mother was dependent on just about one too many things - men, drugs, her children, the list goes on.

in the earlier years of her youth, she remembered the hostile environment she and her siblings grew up in due to their mother’s abusive boyfriend. he’d take his anger out on all of them, her eldest brother especially, and their mother continued to stand by him. her excuse was that he paid their bills and kept food on their tables. they had to be grateful.

it was then at a very young that jude experienced resentment. though she hated the man in their house, she hated their mother more for allowing them to live this way. jude grew up angry.

there was a moment of peace in the sommer household the day the awful boyfriend decided to leave their mother. despite their mother struggling with her drug addiction, there was a moment where the weight of the world didn’t feel as heavy on jude’s shoulders. but it was short-lived, fleeting just like every other happy memory.

her mother found a new boyfriend to take care of them. he felt different than the others - nice, for starters, but jude was no fool. she knew the man was shady and did illegal business to keep food on their table. he later even got her eldest brother involved in that life.

jude wanted nothing to do with her mother and the chaos she brought. she went on a different path and self-funded her way through college. she focused on the one thing that brought her peace - the trees, parks, and nature. she went to school to study environment and parks in hopes of being a park ranger.

finally, jude had a life of her own. she made new friends, people who knew nothing of her past- and she kept it that way. jude even spent a few summers studying abroad in japan, catching the travel bug pretty early on. some of her fondest memories comes from her time in japan and she still practices japanese till this day.

jude worked hard and endlessly, always saving her money so she could do the things she wanted in life. she’d travel, backpack and stay in hostiles, all the while creating travel journals and documenting her time and studies in the places explored. japan, machu picchu in peru, iceland were among her favorite places.

jude was in a serious relationship when she was in college and it felt like love. then again, what did the girl know about love? they often traveled together and study abroad in the same places.

once she graduated, she took some time off to hike the pacific northwest trails alone. it was the most grueling, exhilarating, and beautiful experience. it felt liberating and she felt stronger than ever. it made her feel like she truly broke away from the mold of her family.

still riding that high, she and her boyfriend decided to elope. it felt right in the time.

jude became a park ranger and worked for the state of california and all the state parks as she focused on paying off her student loans.

not long after, she discovered her eldest brother had gone to prison. though she loved him dearly, she kept this under wraps just like everything else about her past. not even her husband knew. she’d find time on the weekends whenever her husband was working to visit her brother. she felt sympathy for him, knowing he wasn’t lucky enough to break from that mold like she had.

a year or so into her marriage, jude discovered she was pregnant. the concept of being a mother terrified her to her very core. she and her husband had talked about having children only a few times, mostly because jude would change the subject. he wanted a family and jude didn’t want to become her mother. without telling him of her pregnancy, jude made the decision to have an abortion.

but nothing stays secret forever. her husband eventually discovered she had an abortion and he was heartbroken. of course he wanted a family, but he also wanted a wife that was willing to confide in him about those things. she never told him her fears, doubts, or her past. she was practically a friend living beside him. jude tried to defend herself, but there was no defending it. her husband couldn’t move on from her decision and the disconnect between the two caused a huge wedge between them. they decided to divorce.

jude realized then her own protective decision was already pushing her on a similar path to her mother, but she refused to become her. jude, independent as ever, didn’t need anyone but herself. even though it caused a lot of heartache, jude doesn’t regret the abortion or the decision to split.

realizing the bay area no longer felt like home to her, jude decided to move to southern california to be closer to the prison her brother was in. she rented a small house in the silver lake area and moved to working at state parks outside of los angeles. it didn’t have the same feeling of towering trees, but the amazing hikes made it worthwhile.

her brother was eventually released from prison and currently lives with her until he can get back on his feet. it’s nice to have him away from san francisco and even nicer to have him not behind bars.

their mother later got clean from drugs and now lives life as a single woman, on some sort of spiritual journey. she tries to have a place in her children’s life, but jude hardly allows it. jude’s brother often tries to convince jude into forgiving their mother, but it never happens fully. she will go visit with him for holidays, and though she goes in holding her tongue, it almost always ends up in a fight between jude and her mother. both can never be quiet for too long and her mother will never own up to her mistakes. it drives jude mad.

though jude had endured a lot throughout her years, she continues to find peace in nature, travel, and journals. she focuses on the little things in life and finds joy where she can. all the while presenting herself like the moon in the sky, only half there for people to see.

HEADCANONS

jude truly doesn’t share much about her past, but doesn’t come off as secretive either. but even her closest friends might learn something new every day about her that they would normally know long before with anyone else.

she rents a small two bedroom home in the redcliff neighborhood and has decorated it to her liking. it’s important for her to feel at home.

jude has an australian shepheard dog named wickett - then name coming from a star wars character.

she enjoys spending her weekends at the farmer’s market, eating fruit, and day drinking wine.

jude is always hiking, journaling/writing, and reading books she has already read a thousand times. she’s a creature of habit.

she hasn’t been in a real relationship since her husband, only hookups and casual flings.

jude is jewish, but her family never paid much attention to religion. they celebrate the holidays and would attend service one day out of the year or so.

she has several scars on her legs and two on her arms from hiking the PNW trails.

she’s into cheesy and weird things - science fiction, conspiracy theories, paranormal stuff. she says, “it makes life exciting.”
