You are in the middle of your piano lessons with Jeongin when he looks over at you.
“I want to tell you something.” You immediately raise your eyebrow. Jeongin has never been the shy type so what is this about?
“Go on..” You say, hesitantly.
He seems hesitant himself and starts by saying that he doesn't want to alarm you. “My rut is starting tomorrow, and I wanted to know if you wanted to spend it together. I understand if you don’t.. It can be a lot. Also, Chan-hyung will be assisting as well as Minho-hyung. I brought it up to them, and they suggested having someone in the room in case I go a little too far.”
Although you are surprised, you are also touched that Jeongin wants to spend his rut with you. Is it rather fast? Yes, but wolves mate forever. It’s not like you are going to run off on him, or vice versa; he is your moonmate. Is it too soon for you mentally though? Chan had warned you that Jeongin could be a lot to handle.
“Can you give me until tonight to decide?” He simply nods as the lesson continues. You can’t help but watch him for any signs of irritation. He helps you with the next part of the song with an okay attitude.
Your lessons are helping you improve, and you could play whole songs which was your inspiration to register to attend university. Jeongin is happy to possibly have classes together considering he is still years from graduation as well.
Jeongin checks the time and looks over, “did you wanna stop now? It has been a hour and a half”
“We can st-'' You are cut off by the loud growling of Jeongin’s stomach. Oh. He wants to stop to get food.
“Innie! You told me you’d start eating breakfast!” You scold, putting your hand on your hip.
“I was running late today..” He mumbles, feeling embarrassed. He gets up and grabs his bookbag. You shake your head and grab your purse before taking his hand.
“Lets go before you collapse from not eating” You tease as you both leave the building.
You both walk together to a nearby restaurant and got some food to take home. You are very nervous to be going to Jeongin’s place since your awkward interactions with Felix. You don’t even know what you did wrong besides existing. Did he just not like new people? Was he the yandere type? At least Minho seems okay. He is very supportive but also stern, and you could respect that about someone, especially an oppa.
“You look like you got a lot on your mind. Wanna fill me in on what’s happening in your big, beautiful head?” Jeongin asks, kissing your forehead. He is holding your waist now as well.
“Oh nothing, just thinking about you.”
“Oh? What about me?”
Oh brother.. Lying is not your forte at all. Be quick.
“You know your outfit is amazing, and your dimples are so pretty.” You smile as you look at him blushing now. “You think I’m pretty huh? I think you’re pretty too.” He pecks your lips before resting his head on your shoulder. “Of course I think you’re pretty Innie. You’re my everything.”
It seems like the sun is beaming down on you both as you walk home because Jeongin is so happy. He skips ahead of you carrying your food in his hands. You smile and follow him recording for memory sake. He is being really adorable today. He is always the happiest with his glasses on.
“Innie do you have anything you wanna say for memory sake?” You ask as he spins around. “I love y/n with my whole heart, and I don’t wanna be without her.” You blush and hit his arm. “Such a simp” you whisper before ending the recording.
“You love it.” He responds. You nod and hold his hand once again today. “I do love it. I’m glad you aren’t the shy type.” As you approach their home, you can see someone waiting outside.
As you approach Jeongin's home, you could see a figure waiting outside. As you got closer, he realizes it is Jisung, one of his' closest friends.
"Hey Jisung," Jeongin calls out as he approaches his pack mate. "What are you doing out here?"
"I just wanted to get some air.," Jisung replies, glancing over at you. "Who’s this?"
Jeongin looks at you, silently asking for your permission. You nod, and Jeongin explains that you are his mate before all three of you go inside.
“Oh you’re really pretty..” Jisung says, tone low before shying away.
Inside, Minho and Chan are sitting on the couch watching TV. They greet Jeongin and you warmly before telling Jeongin to eat good before tonight, considering ruts take a lot of energy.
After a few minutes of small talk together, Jeongin leads you to his room. "So, have you made a decision?" he asks, referring to his earlier request to spend his rut together.
You take a deep breath and look at him. "I think I'm ready," you say, smiling nervously. "But, I do have one request. Can we have a safe word just in case things get too intense?"
Jeongin nods understandingly. "Of course. We'll come up with one together."
You both spend the rest of the evening planning for the upcoming rut. Jeongin explains to you what to expect and how he would feel during this time.
“I promise that I will do everything in my power to not be too much or make you uncomfortable during this process. Please tell me if anything is just too much. We should probably talk about the safe word now. Do you have any ideas?”
“Should we use the stoplight system? So red is the safe word and green means okay?” You ask, searching his face for a response. He just laughs.
“You know it’s a little basic but it does work so that’s fine. Are you ready to eat now?”
You smile and nod, feeling relieved that the conversation about the safe word went well. "Yes, I'm ready to eat now." You eat together as you watch Youtube, cuddling up once you are both done.
You feel grateful for Jeongin's openness and willingness to communicate about his needs, and you take a personal vow to do everything you can to make this experience as comfortable and enjoyable for him as possible. As the night is coming to an end, you both take your time making a nest in his bed with different articles of clothing from his pack members and your own clothing.
As you both settle into the nest, Jeongin wraps his arms around you and nuzzles into your neck. "Thank you for being so understanding and supportive. It means a lot to me," he says softly.
You stroke his hair gently, "Of course, Jeongin. I care about you and want to make sure you feel safe and comfortable during this time as well."
He snuggles closer to you, and you can feel the warmth of his body against yours. You close your eyes and take in the moment, feeling grateful for the bond you share with him.
As you drift off to sleep, you feel confident that you and Jeongin will be able to navigate this rut together, with open communication and respect for each other's needs.
Downstairs, Minho and Chan prepared some smoothies for later as well as water bottles, storing them in the fridge for later. They gathered some granola bars and hot towels for after the rut has run its course. They wanted to be prepared for anything, so they had just gotten home from working out together. Chan was strong, but Jeongin was also strong, especially mid rut. It would take both their strengths combined to stop Jeongin if it came down to it.
It was four hours later when Jeongin woke up, shaking you awake. "Y/N.." he says as softly as possible. You grumble before your eyes flutter open. "Innie, what time is it?" He checks the time on his watch. "It's 4 am. I think my rut is starting. It's so hot." You rubbed his arms feeling the heat radiating off him.
You yawn before slowly getting out the nest, warning Jeongin that you were going to get Chan and Minho so he wouldn't think you're leaving. You slowly go out the door, calling for Chan or Minho. Not knowing which room is theirs off the top of your head.
"In here!" They call from the end of the hall. The first room by the kitchen. You approach and open the door in your nightgown. "Jeongin's rut is starting. He isn't fully in it, but he is getting warmer and in a little bit he will be spiking." You inform them before turning back to return to Jeongin's room.
"Shit he couldn't make it through the night." Chan was working on something at his desk, but Minho looked like he was actually sleeping before you came in. "You don't make it through the night either. Your rut comes at approximately 12 everytime." Minho says, drowsy from sleep but following Chan and you back. Chan blushes "don't just be exposing me," he whines.
Upon entering the room, you all are surrounded by the spiking scent of red wine. Jeongin, who was still in the nest, immediately growled at Chan. Jeongin grabs you and Minho pulling you both into his nest. Minho yelps, not expecting the possessiveness of Jeongin over him.
"Innie it's okay. It's just hyung and I. We are here for you." Minho presses a kiss to his cheek, but Jeongin is not letting Minho out of his grip.
"I don't think you're getting away babe. Just try to appease his alpha side for now. We are all mates." Chan suggests. He has no problems with Jeongin spending his rut with the two omegas. Hopefully, it drains his energy quicker.

You had been starving apparently. Jeongin just waited for Chan to return with water as he kissed over your face, then, all over Minho's as well.
"You owe me a knot as well, alpha," Minho says casually. Jeongin looked shocked and the blush on his face made you both laugh. It was going to be a long night.

rating and reviewing BLs i have watched so far (unupdated as of april ‘23)
hi this is just a post that i wanted to include in my page but it was getting too long lmao. this is just like a list of all that i’ve watched so far, in order. i won’t be including their plots here, but there might be spoilers. these are just my opinions in case someone new wants to bond over shows and wants to know what i thought 🤌🏽
we best love (both seasons) - 10/10. first BL that i watched, lowkey changed my life. absolutely obsessed with it, comfort series that i keep rewatching. absolutely amazing acting by everyone involved.
history3: trapped - 8.5/10. tang yi. no words. beautiful acting and cinematography, the plot was handled pretty well and i was pretty much broken by the last episode. jack and zhao lian are my children. i’m still obsessed with the OST, i listen to it multiple times a week. just goes to show how much a good soundtrack can still keep a show in your mind even if you watched it months ago.
bad buddy - 1073392729/10. HOE MY GOD. where do i start. all i’ll say is i’ll never be the same, this series is IT for me. THE show for me. nothing will ever come close. one day i’m gonna meet p’aof and cry on my knees. i will never be able to put into words just how much this series means to me, or just how important it is to me, or just how influential this has been for my life. i’ll never be able to get over it.
2gether the series - 6/10. didn’t watch the second season because s1 was so disappointing even if i finished most of it in one night. brightwin are cute and all but they were giving brothers i’m sorry 💀 their chemistry just sizzled out halfway. and they both need acting lessons i’m sorry
love in the air - 9/10. fort thitipong simp forever. first show that i watched while it was ongoing. came for payurain, stayed for prapaisky. although it’s lowkey rapey (which is to be expected from mame) i loved how well they handled the characters
tharntype - 6/10. started because i had heard so much about it, but abandoned it halfway. aside from the dubious consent (again, mame, people can’t consent when they’re asleep), the internalised homophobia got too toxic
star in my mind - 7.5/10. joongdunk are adorable, but they could’ve done a little more with the plot. the Feels™️ were lacking a little bit. cute show overall though. and i’m one of the five people who will die on the hill that seanmaitee are canon and deserved an official kiss
semantic error - 8.5/10. first KBL that i watched, finished it in one day. very beautifully done, all the colour symbolism etc was interesting as hell. pretty cute, although i do wish we could’ve gotten more fluff
love mechanics - 8/10. saw a short on yt and was convinced about the angst. boyyyy was i wrong, it was so much more angsty than i thought. highkey toxic and unhealthy too, but i’ll let it go. forever simping over p’bar. the parents angle was annoying but eh. i will say though, i had to take a lot more breaks while watching than usual, it became too much at points. we did get a little fluff at least though so
my tooth your love - 9/10. yes i hate the title. very very nicely done, the perfect representation of how trauma affects you even when you’re older and just how much it holds you back. convos about mental health, therapy, not letting your lover treat you like shit, AAAAA 🤌🏽🤌🏽 finished this in one day too. they didn’t magically have a moment where they forgave each other and kissed after confessing. they both worked to prove they were in this for the long run, and xun’an didn’t hesitate to hold bai lang accountable for being a jerk. really breaking all the BL barriers sjdhsjh 😭😭 the only part that annoyed me was his dad beating him up like hello?? he’s 30?? 💀💀 fucking vile. but bai qing is an icon and i love her and i would die for her. simp for alex speaking in english randomly. him and rj deserved more scenes and they need to be canon now!!!!!
roommates of poongduck 304 - 7.5/10. i had heard SO much about this so i had high expectations but i was kind of let down, i mean we really only got them together in ep 7. the chemistry, acting and side characters were great but tbh i feel like i’d have loved this a lottttt more if it had been a little spaced out, more episodes, had better conflict resolution and just better overall detailing. still a cute watch though
currently watching:
never let me go - this series is going to break me, i already know. phenomenal acting, symbolism and cinematography. every wednesday you can find me crying because it is just so excellent, the brainrot is real. can’t wait for more episodes
my school president - OBSESSED with them for real. they’re the toned down version of bad buddy, which i have proven in a post. can’t wait for them to be their high school’s power couple. very very wholesome

As for your request:
The most important reason why I really love the Incredible Digital Circus is their environment!
As someone who hates reality and I love unreal things, a virtual world inside an unreal thing is a paradise for me! It's not real, it's a digital environment and it's literally making my brain explode!
It is really high quality with its animations, character designs and voice acting.
Of course, it played a huge role in my liking the characters.
Especially Caine and Jax! But the most beautiful ones are last, so let's start with the other characters first!
Pomni! I'd give anything to be in his place - I feel sorry for him and I'm jealous of him, but I'm even more jealous of him. When I put the joke aside and empathize with him, I understand that she is in a really bad situation. Being stuck in a circus whose name you don't even know, with a group of people who look like they escaped from a mental hospital… It would be a really bad situation.
Ragatha! She is so cute! She tries to keep her cheerfulness and keep her sanity by looking at the bright side of things, and that makes her very strong.
Zooble! It was a character whose design I loved very much, and I really liked the fact that its parts would change every episode. Other than that, I can't say much about him yet. The attitude they exhibits is very normal and we should watch him a little more while they doesn't show us behind the wall they has built about himself.
Kinger! I can say that it is the most normal one. There is nothing more normal than going crazy in a place like that. I want to make a pillow fort with it!
Gangle! Frankly, I'm neutral towards Gangle. Reminds me of depression-
Jax! The purple rabbit is rude, sarcastic and mischievous, but also has a nice side! Jax is an “Impulsive jerk” and I love him because I love shitty characters. Jax simp forever!
And CAINE! My absolute favorite! I adore her because he is so innocent! He has great power in his hands, but he doesn't realize it. "He's not a villain, but he's definitely an enemy." He doesn't even realize that he sometimes harms/disturbs others and he is so innocent. He reminds me of the robot called "I Can't Help Myself"…
As for theories… Frankly, I don't have any theories yet. I just want to watch. Let's watch and examine the world a little closer, I don't think we have enough information for theories, we need to learn more! Theories must be comprehensive!
But to say one thing, I sense something that will break the fourth wall… It has a strong story potential behind it and I'm sure they will use it great.
It's a digital world, after all, and when they're in a digital world, they're in a digital world. The characters just need to become aware of themselves, maybe they will break through that wall!

Okay but the simping for kinger is so real tho- i know so few people who are obSESSED with this chess piece the way i am and i gotta ask this: do you have any headcanons abt him, im so curious
oouugh i havent been Actively making hcs but i will say i agree with the fan consensus that hes good at comfort
idk abt verbal comfort but i do think he would listen & offer physical comfort in the form of his pillow fort & perhaps a hug :) may also be good at providing distractions by talking abt bugs! i feel like hes the kinda guy who can talk forever if no one stops him
ik he tends to zone out & get startled when he tunes back in but i think if hes got smth to pay attention to, like someone venting, he can focus better. so far hes only zoned out when no one was talking or when he was focused on smth else (the gloink nest being mistaken for an insect collection)
Also i think hes moreso prone to Startling than actually getting Scared? hes only been spooked by gangle while not paying attention to her & hes only ever panicked when abstracted kaufmo showed up. i think ppl play up his scaredness too much sometimes given what weve seen in the show
what else... i like the idea of him being nervous around his crush, i think he would flirt by sharing insect facts, & also i think hes malewife material (& he may or may not be caked up)
EDIT i have another; hes very "my wife is soft and i like her" energy... i think he would gush abt his partner All the time, instead of spacing out & being head empty he becomes head full of thoughts abt his partner & this applies to the crush stage as well

Fluffy Heater (VG story)
This was based on one of the ideas an anon sent me yesterday, and I wanted to make it a story. Hope you enjoy- this could also be a gift for the VG simps lol
It was a cold winter day, ground outside blanketed with snow with more snow to come. You have been staying with VoreGrunt for two days since the snow made it harder to drive around, and nobody really cares enough to plow the roads at the moment. At least you're not stuck in the middle of nowhere. VoreGrunt has been very nice and you were very thankful for that, it was nice to have some peace away from the madness of Nevada. At the moment, VoreGrunt is inside the house while you're outside playing a bit in the snow, making snow angels, snow forts, you name it, you just wanted a fun time in the snow for a while. Before a gust of strong frozen winds passed by and right on cue you start to feel way more cold than you already were, so much that you just wanted to go back inside. Shivering the whole walk back, you felt like it took forever because of the snow slowing you down, but you get to the door and get inside, it's sadly not as warm as you would like it, but better than freezing outside. You look over to the couch and see VoreGrunt wrapped up in a blanket sipping some hot cocoa they made while watching tv, "h-hey.." you spoke, still shivering from the cold. VoreGrunt looked over at you "Oh hey y/n..oh my, you look freezing..would you like some cocoa?", you quickly nodded.
VoreGrunt got up, their scarf stretching all the way to the kitchen to start getting the cocoa ready, and VoreGrunt themself walks over to you, helps you take your snow stuff off, and wraps their blanket around you to keep you warm, then bringing you over to the couch. You couldn't help but notice how much warmer it got when VoreGrunt was near, you didn't bother to say anything right now though. You sat on the couch where VoreGrunt was before and just curled up in the warm blanket as VoreGrunt joined the end of their scarf in the kitchen.
After a few minutes, VoreGrunt came back with a cup of hot cocoa in their hands...well, the scarf is around it to make sure VoreGrunt's hands aren't burned, "Careful, it's still pretty hot..want it on the table?", you nod a little, the cup was then carefully placed on the low table in front of the couch. Afterwards VoreGrunt sat next to you, they were close enough that you could tell that there was a lot of heat coming from them. Thinking about it, it does make sense that they would be pretty warm, cause of the fluff and chonk. Speaking of chonk, you kind of zone out looking at it a bit, and VoreGrunt notices. "Are you ok?", you break from your thoughts and nod. VoreGrunt smiles a little at you, then sips their own cocoa again. You decide to get a little closer to VoreGrunt, and you felt pretty warm. Without thinking, you place your hands on VoreGrunt's stomach, they warm up and VoreGrunt gets flustered in the process. "O-oh my-", "warm..." you decide to rub their stomach a little to warm your hands more. "O-oh..I suppose it does make sense that I'm quite warm..if that helps you warm up, I'm not gonna stop you", VoreGrunt said. "Why didn't I think of this earlier?..heheh..." VoreGrunt chuckled.
You then hug VoreGrunt's stomach and kind of lay against it, it warms you right up, you even listen to it a bit. Soft gurgles and sloshing noises come from it, the hot cocoa in there already probably making it warmer. You then hear purring as well coming from VoreGrunt. You lay on your side, head against VoreGrunt's stomach, then you grab you hot cocoa since it's cool enough to drink now, and take a sip. You and VoreGrunt then watch tv together and just enjoy the warmth.

3. Are there any fics that inspired you to write what you do?
I got tempted in by all things Mel/Ruth. It was actually Brakenight that brought me to reading Snowpiercer fanfic but MelRuth that got me writing. I read pretty much everything tagged for them starting with E fics and working my way down because I am, unfortunately, a simp for them. In terms of writing I very much aspire to write like @train-pirate who appears to be physically unable to miss.
4. Link your three favorite fics right now.
My one and only bookmark is actually a Motherland: Fort Salem fic. I would never ever have chosen to read it because it's a complete AU and kinda trauma heavy. But someone recommended it and I ended up bingeing all 94,000 words in one day.

5. What are your fanfic pet peeves? Do they have a huge effect on whether or not you decide to read something?
Ooooh. Poor sentence construction. I'm not trying to be a snob but it completely pulls me back to reality if I have to spend time working out what the author meant. Typos and the odd grammar mistake is fine but I have to really convince myself to keep reading if I struggle with someone's prose.
Also obvious self-insert in the form of OCs or first person perspective. I would probably only read those when absolutely desperate for content.
15. Tell the author your favorite fic of theirs. What’s your (the author’s) favorite fic you’ve written?

Oh god so many. In terms of unpublished, I have one called Dear Melanie which I have wanted to write forever. But I every time I try and write more I just end up deleting more! I can't get the tone right. Also my Snowpiercer poetry, mostly Ruth's but some others. Some days I like it and some days I have to force myself not to delete it.
At the minute No More Lies is in this category too but I do hope I can start writing it again soon.
20. What’s your favorite part about the fanfiction writing process?
Dopamine hits when people actually read them. Which I know is unhealthy especially as I'm not a very popular author and the MelRuth circle is quite small these days.
But also the initial idea and writing little scenes in my head. Actually typing them up spoils it, but whilst it's still in my head it's so exciting.

Twitter wasn’t really your forte, but you knew how to get around. It’s just that you never really had the time to check it, let alone to see what’s on the trending page every single day. At the very least, you were capable of replying to your friends’ stuff and letting your viewers know when you were streaming or when a new video would be up. Again, you weren’t a pro, but you got by.
Until you didn’t.
“Hey, everyone,” you greeted, and immediately went to change your Among Us figure to its usual colour and outfit before someone else took it.
Everyone welcomed you, while it seemed Toast was still busy trying to get a last person to join.
“Whaddup, baby,” Corpse’s shot out from the rest of them. It was pure teasing, something he’d grown quite comfortable with ever since people had blatantly started simping for his voice. “Nothing much, honey. How’ve you been?” You cheekily replied. “Pretty good. Streaming still makes me nervous, though.” “You greeted me with ‘Whaddup, baby’ and then proceed to tell me you’re nervous? Don’t get upset when I say that I don’t believe you.” He chuckled at that.
5… 4… 3… 2… 1…

“Ha!” you called out, “I doubt this will soothe your nerves, Corpse. You’re teamed up with me now.” You sneaked in a glance at chat. “We are not an old married couple! If anything, he can be my bitch for this round. I’m just not gonna murder anyone.”
And that’s basically how it went. He managed to kill three people and still wasn’t being sussed. “Alright, I think I’ve tortured him enough,” you laughed, “I’ll even spare Sykkuno for the man.”
You managed to corner Toast and killed him in a corner where the water wheels were, before heading out into admin. You vented until you found Corpse in Labs and jumped out. It was right when Sykkuno walked in.
“Oh, god no. Please, Sykkuno.”
Your kill count still wasn’t down yet and he was obviously planning to run straight out the door to hit the emergency button, but he was stopped. Corpse had murdered him in an instant.
Your mouth was hanging open. “Did… Did he just kill Sykkuno for me?” Chat was going absolutely wild. “What the fuck just happened?” You decided to report the body anyway.
“I can’t fucking believe it,” Corpse growled, “Not my best friend, Sykkuno.”
You had to mute yourself to keep the laughter at bay. Corpse evidently vouched for you, saying you’d walked in on the body together. Felix was sussed and voted out.
“Corpse, you killed me!” Sykkuno cried out.
“I’m so sorry, Sykkuno! I wanted to spare you but you walked in at the wrong time!” You pleaded.
“Sacrifices had to be made,” Corpse merely responded.
“Wait, what happened?” Sean asked.
“I walked in on one of them venting and then Corpse killed me!”
“Collateral damage. You watched me get killed one time, too.”
“Blame me, Sykkuno. It was my fault,” but you were laughing as you said it.
“I don’t think I’ve ever heard such regret coming from an imposter,” Sean laughed along, “Also, why the fuck were you two being so slow? Three meetings in and you’d only killed three people.”
“Corpse was simping for me,” you replied.
“I was not.”
“Yes, you were. Otherwise you would’ve asked me what the hell I’d been doing that entire time.”
“Fuck off,” he laughed.
“Corpse is an UWU-boy!”
“Oh my god, you guys are already trending.”
“Wait, what?”
Your phone was being blasted off to space, getting tons of messages with the hashtag #CorpseBride. It was number 1 trending on Twitter.
“So… whaddup, baby?”
“Oh no, you better buy me a drink first.”

You hadn’t thought he’d been serious in that moment, until he’d asked you to meet up after the game had ended. You hesitantly agreed, but reminded him that he absolutely did not have to participate in this just for the meme. “I’m not doing this for the meme,” he’d said, “I’ve been wanting to ask you out for a while, I just never knew how. It seemed like the perfect timing.”
You met him at his apartment, knowing how he was about going out in public, and feeling extremely nervous. You’d brought takeout, and because you hadn’t been sure what he wanted you’d ordered way too much. Upon opening the door, he looked at you, down at the bag, and said, “Shit, you got food?” Not really knowing what else to say, you simply replied, “Uh, yeah.”
“Well, I guess we’ll have lots of leftovers, then.”
He smiled, gave you a hug that ended way too fast and left you paralyzed for a minute, and then invited you in. It turned out he’d already ordered food, too. “Plenty to choose from,” he laughed awkwardly. “Uh… You got any neighbours who might want some?” you asked.
“I-I don’t really talk to anyone outside of my friend group.”
“Oh, of course. I could go around, if you’d like.”
“You’d do that for me?”
You furrowed your brows. “Of course I would. Why not?”
“Alright, but let me at least come with you. You just do the talking.”
Three knocks at three different doors later, and someone accepted the offer and took over some of the food. “Hang on a minute,” the elderly man said, clad in only his pyjamas and a bathrobe, managing to make the situation even more uncomfortable, “Aren’t you my neighbour? You always scurry off before I get the chance to talk to you!”
You looked at Corpse, and he back at you, and you turned back to the elderly man. “He, uh… He’s very people shy. He has anxiety. I’m trying to help him cope. “Uh…” you jumped at the small voice appearing from behind you. It’s just that his ‘small voice’ is still nothing close to small. “I know, I’m terribly sorry, sir. I also just wanted to let you know that if you ever need anything, I’m just a few doors away.”
This seemed to please the man enough.
“I can’t believe you made me do that.”

You both laughed. Corpse hesitated for just a moment, but decided to ask anyway, “Were you nervous when I opened the door?”

“y/n, come on! you can’t stay in there forever!” bokuto’s yelling and knocking were the only things keeping you from drifting back into a fitful sleep. your anxiety and self doubt had been plaguing you for the past few days, which was how you ended up buried beneath blankets in bokuto’s bed. you knew it was only a temporary relief from the the weight of your self loathing, but you physically didn’t have the strength to pull yourself out of bed.
“i can and i will,” you yell out. you hear a muffled sigh behind the door before it clicks open, and the entirety of bokuto’s weight falls onto the bed. you feel your eyes gloss over with new tears as he shuffles under the blanket and wraps his arms around you. you refuse to face away from the wall, only curling in on yourself more as the fresh tears fall once again.
“i know it sucks, but he re-“
“i don’t want to talk about him right now,” you whimper out, and bokuto only hugs you tighter. he doesn’t speak again, only drawing soothing circles on your hip. he pulls you back enough so that his head rests on top of yours, and lets you cry in his arms.
yaku and atsumu had been over earlier, but given your miserable state, they left early to give you alone time with bokuto. they knew you two were best friends, and they knew he was probably one of the only people right now who could cheer you up. so you stayed there, tears leaking out of your eyes and sliding down your temple.
“can we at least get you showered and changed, and then stop by your apartment to get more clothes?” bokuto finally murmurs in the silent room. he breathes a sigh of relief when you nod weakly, letting him help you up and out of bed and into his bathroom. he sets your clean and folded clothes on the counter and waits outside for you to finish. you should be finding comfort in the warmth of the shower, but you can’t decide if the water is scalding hot or freezing cold. by the time you’re finished, your clothes on and hair brushed, bokuto has everything you need, car keys in hand.
the car ride to your apartment is silent, but you can’t help but notice the way bokuto’s fingers drum restlessly on the steering wheel.
“are you okay?” your voice is weaker than you intended, but bokuto still hears you. the smile he flashes you seems stressed, worried almost.
“i should be asking you that,” he says naturally, as though he isn’t struggling to stay happy and calm.
“you seem tense,” you mumble, eyes moving back to the road. you don’t see the way his eyes flick to the parking lot of your apartment complex as he pulls up, almost in a searching way. he stays silent as he pulls into one of the reserved guest spots, shutting the car off and turning to face you.
“i gotta call atsumu and update him so you can go ahead of me ok? i’ll meet you up there,” he says, smiling once again. still fake. you nod anyways, dragging yourself out of the car and into your building. the elevator ride up feels like five seconds as you go in and out of conscious thinking. you barely register the fact that you’ve reached your apartment until the cool metal of the doorknob shocks you back. with a heavy sigh, you push the door open. immediately, your keys drop in shock, and your hand flies to your mouth.
laid out in front of you, your favorite flower petals decorate the floor of your apartment. lightly scented candles decorate your counters and end tables, and in the middle of it all, iwaizumi hajime stands with bags of takeout in front of what looks like a fort made from blankets from his apartment.
“what the fuck.” it comes out as a whisper, and you see the blush creep up his face.
“this is my way of showing you that i’m being genuine. i know you don’t like grand gestures, so i figured i’d keep it simple and stick to your favorites,” he explains nervously. he sets down the takeout bags at the entrance to the fort before slowly walking over to you. you make no effort to move away as he stops a foot in front of you, eyes searching your face.
“how’d you get in my apartment?” you finally look up to meet his eyes, and the blush on his face grows even more.
“bokuto gave atsumu your spare key, which he gave to me,” he says, sheepishly rubbing the back of his neck. you nod distantly, still taking in your surroundings.
“are you okay? did i overstep? i can leave if you wa-“
“don’t go,” you blurt out. you surprise yourself, as well as him. his eyes widen, but he remains silent, letting you adjust to the added decorations of your apartment. he lets you walk around him, silently closing your door as you slowly walk around the kitchen and living area of your apartment. your hands trail over the soft flower petals that lay on the counter, and you duck your head into the fort curiously. inside, dainty string lights decorate the perimeter, and a small monitor set up with your favorite anime lays at the very front. two soft pillows, and even more fuzzy blankets from iwaizumi’s apartment, including your favorite, lay in front, ready to be laid under. when you poke your head back out, iwaizumi is still standing in your foyer.
“do you like it?” his voice is quiet, hopeful. you don’t say a word as you walk back over to him, and you can see the tension in his shoulders reach the breaking point. which is why you surge forward, arms flying around his middle, and head buried in his chest. you don’t know when you started crying, or how you ended up kneeling on the floor with iwaizumi kneeling too. all you know is that he lets you cry and babble rushed apologies as tears soak his t-shirt. he says nothing, running a soothing hand down your head and onto your back. only when your sobs have died down, and you’re reduced to sniffling, does he sit back and look at you.
“please don’t be sorry. i’m the one who should be sorry. i rushed you when you hadn’t had the time to recover, and it was probably really overwhelming. you did nothing wrong, your feelings were perfectly valid okay? i’m glad that you’re here now, and i’m more than happy to take things slower. all i want is you in my life okay?” his words are soft yet confident. it’s the exact reassurance you needed. which is why you nod, allowing him to lead you into the fort and pull the blankets over you. it’s why you lean against him while you two eat the takeout he brought, laughing at your show. it’s why once the food is done, and the candles have burned low, you turn to your side, hugging him tightly as you let your eyes flutter shut. and when you finally drift off to sleep, you miss the three words iwaizumi murmurs into your hair as he too joins you in sleep.
no matter though, you’ll always be able to hear it next time.

It's not that often, but when he gets drunk, he gets all soft and emotional, and starts babbling about how he can't believe he got so lucky to be dating you, and that he's sure he hasn't done anything to deserve it mah heart
He's pretty sure he wants kids, but he doesn't feel like now is the right time, and is lowkey afraid that it's never going to feel like the right time
He also constantly doubts himself, wondering if he'd actually able to look after them and protect them the way a father should class 1-A got him second-guessing himself 🥺

* There’s a back story to you and his relationship. You two were friends since you were kids, a bully snatched your toy and had it hanging from a tree.
* The little twerp climbed up the tree, fucking tied it with a string on a tree. You couldn’t climb a tree because of the lack of ever learning.
* The sound of ruffling and air could be heard before you opened your eyes and spotted the object in his hands, holding it to you. “Here you go..” he said, offering it with a small smile.
* You hesitated a bit before taking the toy as the friendship blossomed into a beautiful relationship in the future.
* As long as it’s not breaking any laws or anything, he’ll do anything with you.
* His family is honestly appreciative that you’re helping him from that shell he created around himself. You make him experience the carelessness of moments.
* One thing he loves, he adores the random things you’d search a certain location you’d want to explore. One time, you two were jogging and you suggested to go a different way and that’s how you found your favorite spot to have a picnic.
* He’ll never push you to talk to others because he already knows how you are. He usually does the talking when you two are together.
