monsters and mommies au except its really obvious that the thing i think about the most is how it would impact the trial/jodie arc

(i feel like ive seen a few people do these aus but i just searched it and only found its-raining-heres au so um. if i ripped you off im so so sorry i thought it was a fun trend)

rambling /explaining this more under the cut but tl;dr: i thought it would be more interesting for this au, to Not make a fifth mom and instead twist the punishment so that jodie still replaces glenn! however, its in the sense that morgan got retroactively married to a "responsible parent" rather than her (late) husband, glenn :3c so essentially the same punishment, just inflicted in a way that feels very different

okay so to infodump, because i havent touched this au in a creative sense but HAVE talked my partner and their boyfriend's ear off about it despite them not watching dndads--

im not gonna ramble about everything. but! in my ideal monster and mommies au, morgan is the most different from her husband, compared to the other moms. i found that carol would mirror darryl very closely, mercedes and samantha more mirror their husbands in a general sense, but morgan i thought would be more fun being much different from glenn :] still have similar Plot Beats(tm) but very twisted on their head

in this au, since they swap places, glenn is. yknow. dead. sorry man. but rather than going glenn's route of like, totally disconnecting from reality bhjfdbgjfdbj morgan instead gets very very intense and protective over nick, to the point of it driving a wedge between them. nick still idolizes glenn, and he remembers what his mom used to be like before she got so scared, and so he strives to be Rock And Roll Edgy Teen Boy and it makes morgan. crazy. (it is definitely more nick acting out for attention than him genuinely wanting to be a druggie rock star, mirroring how nick would imitate glenn mostly to get his attention, but morgan does not know that LOL) but she struggles a lot with figuring out how to control him beyond getting into arguments and so she is a very ineffective parent

originally, i was actually gonna have mercedes have to go on trial instead of morgan for various reasons, but i just. the whole jodie thing was too interesting to me. it wouldve been funny to make henry and jodie gay married but i just thought i could get more creative with it. so instead, jodie still replaces glenn as nick's father... but this time, its because morgan gives up her marriage with glenn so nick would have a better parent, rather than glenn giving up his fatherhood over nick for the same reason :] morgan is basically told that she will be given a marriage that would have better suited raising nick safely, and she accepts (significant because in contrast to glenn, where he doesnt mention morgan very much due to his Bury My Emotions schtick, morgan is very very vocal about missing glenn, so it was an obvious weak spot for her). vainly, she hoped a little bit that maybe it would be glenn but 5% more careful with himself, but instead, she escapes prison to find nick with an entirely different appearance, attitude, and father... very dramatic :D

jodie is much more a background force in this au, but he IS still a demon whos life was ripped away from him so he could go be a highway cop. i dont know if they would ever learn this fact to be honest. still deciding that. maybe morgan just thinks she got a free new husband to divorce or fall in love with or whatever

i talked so long. im so sorry. i just think about this a lot, i love this au and the silly little morgan ive made up in my mind

how is life with kids? like did u have kids because everyone says to have kids or because u and r partner wanted kids?

and were there moments in life where you didnt want kids (before their birth) or any time (after their birth) where you regretted your kids?

idk if i want kids or not and I'm also not sure if not having children is a way to spite people or if wanting children is a result of peer pressure.

hiiii! definitely not a rude question! my answer will be under the cut bc it’ll be long lol.

life with kids is very tiring 🥴 but now that my kiddos are older, i do miss the newborn/baby/toddler stage. days are long, but the years fly by so quickly. i can’t believe i have a 9 & 7 yo—it’s insane haha.

also, having kids is not for everyone and that's okay! for me, i think it was a mix of both (having kids being the norm after marriage and we both wanted kids). just a small bit of advice, if you’re newly married, i would say to wait a few years before trying to have kids. enjoy each other before the chaos lol.

there were definitely moments where i’m like ‘what the fuck did i get myself into?’ especially the nights when they’re sick or they would hit a sleep regression. ngl, i wanted to run away from all responsibilities.

i don’t think i would say i regret having kids, i just wish i took my time with having them later in life. i feel like society rushes us to ‘have it all together’ by a certain age (career, marriage, kids, etc) and life shouldn’t be like that. i think i was instilled at a very young age to do everything in a certain order, and now that i’m older, i wish i had someone to tell me, ‘hey, take your time. there’s no rush’.

it’s okay to not know. having kids is a huge responsibility and it’s not one to take on lightly. also, there are other ways to help children if you don’t want any of your own. you can always be a mentor, a nanny, or maybe even a foster parent.

so, with all that said, i love being a mom. i love seeing my kids creativity, their personality, and they really do say the funniest things. they drive me crazy, but then they’ll randomly crawl into my bed in the morning, give me snuggles and i’m like ‘goddamnit, i love you’ lol.

Hi, you asked for a Tish fantasy so here’s mine. I am not a writer and this is the first time I’ve written anything so my apologies for using your ask box because I’m not brave enough to post it on my own page. This is really informal. Just my thoughts really, but I’ll try to make it decent:

First person POV:

Tish and I have been dating for 3 years now. I’m having a milestone bday so Tish, my family and friends are throwing me a big ass party. They tried their best to surprise me, but I’m a Taurus so um yeah there’s that lol. It’s an all black affair but Tish and I pull up wearing all white cuz we feeling GAWDLY lol. I’m in custom Laquan Smith. Tish in custom Prada of course. We walk in and my jaw drops. This party is something I could’ve never imagined. Now mind you, after demanding I clear my schedule, Tish has been pampering me (and fucking me mercilessly) all week. All leading up to this party. Everybody that I love is in attendance. The decor is posh and expensive, but still keeping a party-like ambience. The DJ is playing all the hits and all my favorite party songs from when I was younger. Tish been catching this ass all night lol. Alcohol is flowing and we really going up. I’m giggling at Tish while they’re presenting me with my cake and singing happy bday bc she’s slightly tipsy and doesn’t realize how loud she’s singing into the DJ’s mic. As soon as I blow out my candles Tish passes the mic to my bestie who then turns my attention to a big ass projector screen that’s been let down. She gives a little sentimental speech then tells me that I must pay very close attention to the video and to not take my eyes off of the screen or I’ll miss a very important message. I’m tipsy too so I’m confused af, but I follow her instructions. The video is so sweet! It’s a collection of my baby pictures, school pictures,vacations, me w/ family and friends, pics of Tish and I, etc. All of a sudden the screen goes blank and a message appears that says “Your life has been a beautiful storybook and now it’s time to turn around and start the next chapter.” I’m so busy focusing on the video that I hadn’t noticed that Tish stepped away from my side. Still following instructions I turn around and all I see is my stunningly beautiful girlfriend getting on one knee with a small Cartier ring box in her hands. I can’t believe how quickly I just sobered up. I’m shell shocked so my mind is trying to catch up with what my eyes are seeing before me. Someone passes the mic back to Tish and she begins to speak in a bit of a shaky voice. “Baby, for a long time I didn’t think genuine love would ever be possible for me. I didn’t think there was anyone out there who could truly understand me…understand the way my mind works…my quirkiness…my ambition…my lust for life…and the way I love. Just when I had settled on being the fun, SEXY and single friend” *everyone giggles* “God sent me you. God took a lil extra time on you innit!” *crowd giggles again* “It’s truly been a privilege to love you and I wanna be everything to you, that you are to me and so much more…and I wanna do it for the rest of our lives. “Y/N, will you marry me?” Remnants of my mascara mixed with my tears are flowing like a river down my face. My mind is still registering so it takes me a few seconds to respond with the emotion filled “yes” that I’m able to muster up. Tish slides the ring on my finger so fast then jumps up and scoops me up with strength I didn’t know she possessed while everyone is cheering and clapping. We kiss each other in way that could invoke world peace. Finally coming to my full senses, I softly whisper in her ear “I can’t wait to run this shit with you.”

*Edit Note: Let me take my motherfucking hat off to you writers!! How do y’all do this shit on a regular basis??? Now that shit I just wrote was so basic and it stressed me OUT. You guys are so talented and so creative and I have a whole new respect. Thank you for sharing your talents on here. Love you guys!

if i were in charge there woood be no art, no entertainment, until. everyone gets along and there is peace on earth. do u think escapist tendency toward creativity is going to bring peace on earth? i do not. i think using our intelligence, our reason, our human actual kindness, informative abilities, can be the only thing to do this. but i am a pessimist. tho in my deepest heart i am optimist hehe. so maybe everything is perfect as it is, and there shall be peace and health on earth soon , one day.

one time i traveled to new mexico (i lived there previously for awhile tho before that) i went to an herbal education wilderness sanctuary.

the ladies name was elka, during the time of anna and elsa "let it go" movie. frozen. and her cat was named lyra. i had just read the philip pullman books and thought, omg... im her cat! wowwwww. talk about schizophrenia. anyway i felt bad vibes, missed my family. decided to leave. and elka was very strange, she acted like i was sacred and said, let me look into your eyes one last time. LOL WUT~!

so yeah sometimes i think im gaia mother earth. but. i try not to. cus that wood make me crazy. andrea dworkin has a quote about how woman cant be herself, she either has to be slut of the universe or mother earth.

Okay I got a weird idea i have to ask writeblrs I like: What would your ocs be an alternative universe? Any type you want, but I would love to hear in like completly different setting they are in real life. You have quite many wips so your choice!

omggg hiiii this is such a fun ask! I wanted to give it a lot of thought.... it was a little difficult because both of my main WIPs are set in like ... old fantasy settings which is typically the AU itself lol and I'm not terribly creative so that's what I would ordinarily go with... but that doesn't work here!

SO I decided to take The Marking Blood and The Romance of the Demigods and... swap their settings! Just to think about what would happen!

So without further ado... I would like to introduce The Mark of the Demigods and The Romancing Blood!

KESH is a vampire who has cheerily stalked the Mont Estival nighttime for years upon years, with no one to look out for but her own damn self. It’s a carefree undeath, save for dodging her ████████████████████ as well as the ever-diligent Hunters. Well, and the unshakable envy. So maybe she misses being a human. So maybe letting herself be turned was not her best decision. So maybe she feels corrupted and irredeemable. She takes it out, in her way, on the steadfast hunter Eve, whom she’s constantly teasing and toying with. It’s dangerous—the day Eve finally catches her is the day her undeath comes to an end. But it’s a thrill like nothing else. Despite proudly declaring herself the “biggest thorn the Guild’s side has ever known”, Kesh is shocked to attract attention for it. She’s thusly accosted by Nysa, a nobleman’s daughter and brand new vampire. Kesh has never reckoned herself the mentoring type, but there’s something that strikes her unbeating heart about Nysa’s determination to walk in the worlds of both the living and the dead. Anyways have some disorganized rambles about it that are in no way chronological and I just wrote them down as I thought about them because. I have emotions. About it all. And nobody in particular to share them with. Spoilers ahead!

Hhhhh okay. Where to start? Alright, okay, well, first off. I lost my mind at Sausage’s cameo. I was not at all expecting it and so it hit me like a train and it was so funny. I just. God. That was so good.

Like. Damn. Sausage and Bubbles are canon to the Fixxiverse O_o

I really love that the zombie apocalypse episode was the first in the series, I felt like it was such a great start that made everything else really feel like a very natural progression of the series, what with starting with an unnamed protagonist and then starting to make more and more characters as fit, you know?

Speaking of the unnamed protagonist of the zombie apocalypse. I miss him and I home we see more of him in the future.

The slow realization of, not only everything being connected in some way, but also just how connected it all is- it’s just. It really shows the love and care put into the series. No stone is left unturned there.

I can’t really choose a favorite character because I would just end up listing all of them but if I had to name a few that really stood out to me in terms of how excited I got any time I heard them speak, I really loved fv!Grady, Captain Dohan, The Oracle, and Fred

Okay listen. I watched Dominion in this order: Legundo, Viking, Nuke, and then Fix. When I first saw The Oracle in Nuke’s perspective, I was like ‘oh, this is a neat and mysterious character, I wonder where they take this’ (and also like SCOTT SMAJOR????), so when The Oracle showed up in Fix’s POV, then when I pivoted to Fixxiverse and he showed up there (and I learned who he was more), and THEN when he showed back up again in the rest of Fix’s Dominion POV. Listen. I just. I have grown to love The Oracle a lot.

Also I wonder; is Dominion directly tied to the Fixxiverse? Is anything with Fix in it tied to the Fixxiverse? Or is The Oracle a bit more like a being that could show up anywhere? Is it a bit more like the Hermatrix, where literally all Minecraft worlds are in the same multiverse? (Could Legundo’s Hardcore Multiverse be tied to it all as well? I doubt it, but I don’t have the brainpower to pull that apart right now…)

I’m genuinely impressed with how well Fix pulls of having a fairly large cast of different characters in the Fixxiverse, which is primarily a single player series, and he played most of said character at some point. That is not an easy task to pull off.

Fix’s Dominion musical episode was soooooo. I just. God.

Fix’s megabase on Dominion s1. Jfc dude. It’s so amazing, seriously. If nothing else, you should watch his POV just to see it.

Both of his main bases, actually. They are both so god damn impressive.

Also, all of Fix’s builds in the Fixxiverse, but especially in the main hardcore (and now survival) one are so gorgeous. I am actually in love with his building style, it’s so pretty, and the scale of it all is amazing.

His custom textures too! I know they’re such a small thing, but I love them so much. I love the creativity that goes into some of them, changing the textures to use them in ways that just. It changes the vibe completely from if it were the vanilla textures, but they all still fit. In fact, they arguably fit better because of the texture changes.

I loved his ‘confession room’ bit on Dominion, especially in his final episode of s1 with Sneve. That was really funny.

Dominion!Fix is a super interesting character to me. I feel like he’s just so well played, but I can’t quite put into words all my thoughts about him. He’s like. He’s a thief. He’s a trickster. He runs from the consequences of his actions. He’s just a little guy c’mon he’s just a little guy. He wants so badly to be a good person. He has no moral backbone. He cares deeply about other people’s wellbeing. He’s The Oracle’s favorite little fella, and god he really wants to be a good person but god dammit old habits die hard and no matter how hard he tries he just keeps on falling back down, even when he knows, he knows that if he does, he will release something beyond anything any of them are remotely prepared to handle, and he knew, he was warned, he was warned, but it still didn’t matter, because he cannot escape the person he believes, he knows he is deep down, and that will always be his downfall- he’s just some little bug dude.

I also adore whenever Fix talks about his family in his videos. Like, genuinely, it’s so sweet and makes me feel all warm inside every time he does

I need you all to know how happy it makes my silly little autistic brain every time he talks about music I loooovvve it when people talk about music :)))))

I definitely have more that I’ll probably remember later but honestly, I don’t want to spend any more time on this post so this is what you get lol

Um. What's your headcanons on what kind of games (videogames, tabletop, whatever) do you think each one of the mekadan is into? I think i went into a lot of detail already regarding Shintaro and Kano (so sorry for projecting into them sksksksksskssk), but i really would like to know what another would think? Feel free to go into as much detail on Takane as you wish, you deserve it and i live to hear your rambles on her.

god i actually dont know bc im not a gamer girlie like miss cyber girl ene... i think takane plays everything pretty much. ofc more the shooters as we know but is probably pretty knowledgeable on a bunch of things, i think she especially loves horror and based on her canon fave movies (the godfather 2 and the clockwork orange) she's probably rly into games with an ongoing story, abt crime specifically. like yakuza and gta and all that stuff

SINCE IM NOT A GAMER i dont know shit and idk what to say for most of everyone but i can say for sure ayano and momo are sims girlies. i think momo's obsessed with making up lore for the families she makes and ayano is a home builder/decor lover❤️ i think theyd get together to play a lot bc ayano makes the homes and momo makes the families hehe.... mary is an animal crossing girlie btw

anyways. kido probably rhythm games. but like guitar hero. shintaro introduces them to love live and project sekai and bandori and whatever else and kidos like😐 no.

amongus hibiya is real to me. he is real. i made a comic abt it about how takane teaches him to use his phone and he becomes irremediably obsessed with among us

i dont think seto plays any videogames and he gets frustrated easily when he plays with everyone. when mekatrio+ayano mario kart he is dead last like TRAGICALLY last. kano i dont have strong opinions but i liked ur hcs about him being into strategy games and hiding it a bit. i also think he'd like graphic novels... and he'd be the kind to watch lets plays instead of actually playing a game too. also hiyori i dont see her playing anything. maybe the sims too bc the awesomest girls play the sims

for haruka he rly plays everything like same as takane theyre the gamer couple ok. they play every single game ever and probably make icebergs together abt obscure videogames. they look for the weirdest most obscure game they can find and just do that for a friday night activity. other than that i think haruka also rly enjoys games like animal crossing and the sims and stardew valley etc. like for takane i think she plays those but gets bored pretty easy she just speedruns thru them and is frustrated theres no action and haruka Gets it more. though they both love minecraft❤️ the yuukei quartet minecraft server is real because it meets all of their conditions for games. i think ayano and shintaro want creative mode because theyre both into making their houses and being at peace and dont want Scary Surprises while haruka and takane prefer survival bc THATS GAMING!! so they always argue abt it lol. i think ayano could be into survival too but i think her reflexes suck LOL SHE JUST WANTS TO MAKE A TREE HOUSE.

haruka mentions being a little baby abt zombies so hes a baby abt horror to me. but he also says he pretty much gets over it after getting addicted to dead bullet soooo i think he can also enjoy horror games, just maybe not by himself. i think haruka and takane choose some horror game and keep arguing about the lights because haruka wants them on cuz hes scared and takane wants them off because That's How Horror Games Are Meant To Be Played

shintaro is a mix of everything mentioned here tbh. except horror. he cannot do horror. like Ok *SITS DOWN AND GRABS THE MIC* IT IS HEAVILY IMPLIED IF NOT CONFIRMED (NEVER SEEN IT CONFIRMED) THAT HE'S THE FIRST PLACE WINNER IN THE NATIONALS FOR DEAD BULLET THAT TAKANE WAS SECOND FOR. HOWEVER IN THE SIXTH NOVEL HARUKA MENTIONS SHINTARO NEVER PLAYED DEAD BULLET BECAUSE HE'S SCARED OF ZOMBIES SO IT'S LIKE. SHINTARO IS NOT THE DAMN DEAD BULLET WINNER?? HES GOOD AT SHOOTERS BUT HE ISNT INTO HORROR SHOOTERS. last book you read: technically graphic novels the ‘March’ trilogy - John Lewis with Andrew Aydin (currently reading ‘embrace fearlessly the burning world’ ... and like three or four others, including a biography called ‘Boyd’).

last book you enjoyed reading: the left hand of darkness - ursula k. le guin; I enjoyed reading it but in the end did not end up liking it. just got sad over the ‘ace’ relationship and felt a bit fridged as a person. yes I know that’s not the philosophical point.... just. -shrug- it is what it is. the writing was lovely and the outcome was Not For Me.

last book you hated reading: the curious incident of the dog in the nighttime (lol). apparently there was a reason it was in my ‘to read’ pile for so long. I have no idea what all the big fuss was. at least it was a speedy read and now I can move on with my life.

Bonus:

favorite thing to cook/bake: doesn’t really count since it’s cold and I just mix ingredients together but ... smoked trout dip. NOM NOM NOM. I found a recipe I like and it’s great with white wine. can’t say I bake or cook that much since my favorite food is fish and I just settle with various canned or tinned preparations because cooking for one is um. hope you like leftovers. I am pretty good at roasting things or being patient with sauces. love savory flavors.

favorite craft to do in your spare time: writing? I guess. when I was a kid I built model rockets and that kind of kit work can still be diverting. I once whipped up a scale model of a chance vought f4u corsair (with a working propeller!) made out of nothing but printer paper and wood glue. sadly it got water-damaged or I’d still have it around. I don’t make much in my spare time since my actual job has pretty tangible outcomes.

most niche dislike: pumpkin pie. my hatred is endless and nonsensical. I cannot stand the texture or the flavor. I have tried. I cannot.

opinion on circus(es) now and in history: with non-domestic animals not so much. human performers who chose the life and are well-paid? cool.

do you have a sense of direction and if not what is the worst way you ever got lost: my sense of direction is so bad that most people don’t believe how bad until they witness it for themselves. it is generally common knowledge that if I tell you to go some way you should do the exact opposite. if I go into a store I cannot tell you from which direction I have entered. even when I have lived some place for more than 10 years I can get turned around and/or in the wrong lighting get so disoriented that I miss a turn. back in the days before good GPS maps going anywhere was terrifying because I was just moving through space while driving ... I had no or very little sense of orientation. while active mapping and other experiences have helped me over time, I still ask friends and coworkers to help me orient while I’m driving. it would be funny if it were not so pathetic.

It's nice to see that not everyone is obsessed with agent OCs. Though I will admit I almost fell for it, until I realized I was trying to shove my triangle pegs into round holes.

I did fall victim to trying to tie a character to canon (an OC who in splat2 I decided they were the one modifying grizzco weapons) and then splat3 well... ROTM happened. So I think I've learned my lesson. Canon will fight you every step of the way. You either have a agent OC, or zero connection to any canon concept outside of like... turf war exists.

But so this isn't just purely ranting about this, I am curious! Since we've talked about mundane OC idea's do any of your OC's have super mundane jobs? I have an accountant anemone!

All the power to people who do have Agent OCs obviously, I've heard people's takes and opinions on why they have them and it's valid! but you're so right, canon WILL literally fight you every step of the way if you make your OCs too tied to it. And like, that's to be expected, it's you inserting YOUR character ideas into someone else's story after all. But I don't think lots of people expected their Agent 3's to be assigned a rapper or DJ or whatever following Octo Expansion, lol

I'm doing pretty much the opposite thing with my OCs where I try to detach them from canon almost as much as possible. I want them to be canon-aligning in a way where they still fit into the world, but I really want to avoid them interacting with canon characters - that's when it turns from original stuff into a fanfic, if that makes sense, and I'm like... WEIRDLY specific about the legitimacy of fictional settings. I did try to make my version of the agents at some point, but promptly dropped that idea because it led to having to try and rewrite literally every story mode to be more realistic and make any sense at all, at which point I was essentially just rewriting the plot and that's... not.... canon anymore! So my new working plan has just been letting nintendo deal with their weird stories and have them happen in the background and maybe they would make more sense in-universe, but i sure as hell am not going to be the person forcing to make them make more sense. Not like any of my OCs are going to care or be affected at all by some whole-ass bear living in a cave somewhere and being harassed by a teen and some pop idols.

Um, do my OCs have any mundane jobs? This is honestly something I REALLY want to work on more in the future because I'm like really bad at coming up with jobs - and really bad at coming up with SPLATOON JOBS specifically. Like, Splatoon could have a lot of bizarre things that we don't have at all and I am CONSTANTLY missing the mark with my OCs just defaulting to "human stuff", forgetting that we're literally NOT working with "human stuff". But I do have OCs that are bakers, other OCs that operate a burger truck, Salmonid butchers (FUNERARY SERVICE NOT MURDER), um... wow, they're like all food related, huh. Yeah, I don't have a lot of creativity on that front, though a lot of it is just a case of "what kind of job would my ocs WANT to do?" (nothing.) and "if I make them do this job, I'd have to know a lot about that job and it would shape a lot of their life because jobs take up A LOT of time". And of course "if i make them do this job i have to come up with a whole company and like 15 coworkers and i dont feel like doing that". A lot of specifics...

38. how many stories do you work on at one time?

the answer to this used to be 1, maybe 2 if i had an idea for something short come up while i was working on something longer. now there are apparently no rules, throw it all out the window, i've been cycling between 5-10 different stories for like a week and i'm starting to lose my mind

43. how did writing change you?

tbh i've been writing for as long as i can remember, so like, it definitely has changed me, but in the same way that growing up has changed me, or going to college, or coming out, or living on my own, or starting a career. in basically every stage of my life, up until and including right now, i can point to a dozen different ways that writing has helped me learn and grow in some capacity. but i guess if i had to choose one, probably that it's given me more confidence and really helped structure the way that i view myself and my goals

44. any writing advice you want to share?

well the most important thing is to make sure you're enjoying it. like, there's no point to writing--or being creative in any sense--if you're not getting any entertainment or catharsis or peace or whatever from it, why are you doing it?

but beyond that, i guess my advice for anyone who is serious about writing is to consume stories. i had a lot of college professors be like 'if you're not reading all the time you won't be a good writer' and like i get where they're coming from, but it applies to more than just reading. watch movies, play video games, listen to your friends gossip. the more you experience and think about stories in any format, the easier it is to apply what you like or don't like to your own writing style

45. name three of your favorite fanfic writers.

um you, obviously. @dufrau is astonishing to me, every piece hits so perfectly and leaves me thinking about it for days. and @categorical-mouse because i genuinely think about it's just blood under the bridge like once a week, it's by far my favorite imagining of the group post-hawkins, and war correspondent nancy is one of the most heartbreaking and thrilling characterization i've ever seen

this is so hard there are so many though there's so much great work in this fandom

46. what time are you the most productive when it comes to writing?

any time that it's dark tbh. my prime used to be between 11pm and 2am, but having a normal adult job and a normal adult schedule doesn't allow for that as much as i'd like lol

47. what story are you most proud of?

this is always a toss up between raise dead and this story that we found ourselves in but it's gotta be this story, yeah? it took over my life for like 4 months, it turned into this massive, sprawling thing and i have a clearer grip on it, and that iteration of the characters, than i ever really imagined possible

66. when have you felt the most confident in your writing?

um so it genuinely might be when i was finishing the celebrity fake dating au. once i got to, like, 3/4s of the way through? i'd gotten through all the unknown parts and i knew exactly where the story was going, and anything that wasn't already planned out was just fun to write. it was great. i was sailing. there were so many lovely late nights where i'd just put on my playlist and write a bunch of soft ronance scenes, and in the morning i'd read it back over and just be so excited about the story. ugh. i miss it

80. do you try to put themes, motifs, messages, morals, etc in your writing? if so, how do you go about it?

hmmm not really morals or anything, but i do try to write something meaningful in the sense of, like, female representation and gay representation. i tend to write the stories that i wish i could see, and especially the stories that i wish i'd had growing up. sometimes that leans into writing about messages or experiences that are really personal to the gay experience, or at least my gay experience. it's never super intentional, though, that just ends up being what i think is important to the story

In GT Goten & Trunkz dont hang out religiously anymore and thats fine but they dont realize how often they still hang out I think.

I think they both think that they could go a year without seeing each other and that it would be the least of their problems. But out of the 3 out there in space, Goten has the least experience of being away from Trunks.

And they thought that Goten was gonna go into space and that was gonna be cool and they were gonna have a guys night, and then that fell through, but it's cool.

But it's just that the last time they hung out was, like, 4 months ago, and theyre due for another session. So now it's just, like, um, okay, well. I understand that there are bigger things at stake but I really miss my bro time lol.

And Trunks up there in the cockpit steering the damn spaceship starts to miss Goten a bit and he has to stop his mind from wistfully wandering becasue, HE KNOWS THAT THIS IS FOR THE BEST. LIKE..

Goten can get pretty hyperactive at times and you DO NOT WANT to be TRAPPED in a vessel with him ...

How could he be more hyperactive than two children, you ask? Well, it's just that Goku spends a lot of his time sleeping and eating, and he gets bored and sore about it, but all he does is whine about it. He doesnt break shit like Goten would. And Pan has the creativity as well as the energy of childhood, so shes always able to find shit to do, even if it's something arbitrary that she made up but that she believes wholeheartedly (for example she spent a long time trying to make a functional chore sheet that everyone would abide by, even though Trunks's outlook is just hey, if it needs to be done then someone will see it and do it.) Also she took a real shining to Giru and they are able to keep each other occupied.

Goten would not like that robot much and it's becasue, in his space boredom, he invents drama to pass the time. He decides that he and that robot are competing for Trunks's attention, so he devises a petty rivalry with that fucking thing, but the most dramatic part of all is that he and Giru actually have deep and repressed feelings for each other ... in the end it all shatters into "Oh Giru maybe we can all be best friends TOGETHER... can life truly be that good?" And again Giru is just this orb robot thing. He deosnt know what's happening

And Trunks knows Goten well and can see this all from a mile away so hes up there in space and is reminding himself to be GRATEFUL that Goten ISNT THERE!!!

Hed be relentlessly giggling about how it's called the "cockpit." He'd really want to press buttons and pull levers and hed beg Trunks "which one can I press???" "None right now" "Well WHEN???" "I dont know, when we need to next?" "Well when will that be???" "I dont know, could be in a minute, could be a few hours, space is unpredictable" "I thought you said that space is isotopic and homogeneous????" ".....That's not...what I meant-" "Well when you need to press a button next can you TELL ME????" "...Okay, sure, yeah."

And then Trunks presses a button or pulls a lever or flicks a switch without thinking about it and Goten springs up and is like DUDE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And one time Goten is in the space shitter and he can feel/hear the ship change its tempo like its velocity has changed and that of course means that TRUNKS HAD PRESSED A BUTTON and Goten storms out of the shitter holding his pants up (belt unbuckled) and tumbles into the cockpit like DUDE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And long before the gas leak occurs Goten is exhibiting what an allistic may dub "space madness" but really hes just making a lot of sounds. Animal sounds and music sounds and whatnot. Some of these sounds Trunks cannot stand however and so long before the gas leak strikes there is a moment when Trunks snaps and abdicates the control chair so that he can wrestle with Goten and strangle him and kill him dead he needs to kill kill kill kill kill him NOW.

Goku sees this display and decides that as long as they dont tear the spaceship apart they should be good. So he jumps into the fray and they all try to kill each other in this cartoon ball of dust and smoke and flailing limbs

And after that everyone goes back to normal for a while becasue I think everyone was just getting a little understimulated lol.

Not to mention Goten always clogs the space shitter and blames it on Giru

Cough so um I noticed on one of your posts you may or may not have said something about your comics and I would like to say

I am very interested O.O in your comics OWO UWU OWO (that was me blinking cough cough ignore my strangeness)

omg bestie!!!! i will tell you all about it!! sorry for the rant i never shut up

so i haven't started writing the comic yet i think i will next year (?) but it's about two lesbians, Stell and Kiki, in an underground noise rock (kinda) scene at a college. To me, it's going to be about what music, or really making art, means to people. it's not about becoming famous or wanting any of that. it's just about how being in a band can change your life. but i want it to be about more of an avant garde music scene. artists making crazy shit. breaking all the rules. going wild. its not about being good. its about pure creativity. bc i feel there is a lot of stories written about punk music and though i love it, i want to write about music and art i really love, art that's weirder and experimental. i want the art to capture that too.

i now need to actually write it and make it good lol.

before i wanted to do it as a novel but honestly writing music is so hard in prose. it always sounds so abstract and vague but in a comic, i think you can really portray the motion and atmosphere and velocity of music without actually having to write songs. i can draw the vibes and make some super cool stylish art. I've realised i love telling stories. i do it to myself all waking moments of the day, im always living in my head but when i write prose i miss drawing and when i draw i miss telling stories. idk why i never thought about really combing the two for myself but i realise oh i can just buy a sketchbook and write comics.

I just i need to get better at anatomy and perceptive and all the things that come with illustration bc ive mostly just done portrait painting or paintings zoomed in on details. i don't do a lot of simplifying, i do a lot of complexifying. now my goal in life is to write comics bc i honestly love writing dialogue and i love drawing.

my fics are really just plays in which i put description around the dialogue lol. i do like writing descriptions sometimes for like 10k words but not for 80k works for each novel i want to write. descriptions doesn't really come naturally to me.

so this is a long way of saying i want to write comics bc literally so many of my problems in my fics would just be solve if they are comics.

i really want to make a dnd campaign mcr comic if grant morrision was the DM set in the danger days world after they died but korse is bringing them back jus to put them through hell again haha. its tomb of horrors but killjoys themed. if you dont know tomb of horrors a very infamous dnd campaign known for being the most hated campaign by players and the most loved by DMs lol. it has a death pit in the first room lmaoooo. just a lich walking the corridors. its very insane. I used to DM dnd for three years so i know what im doing. also grant morrsion would make an excellent and insane DM so i need to draw grant's madness. Anyway that will might happen next year idk.

too many ideas not enough finished projects lol. im trying to get better at finishing things bc i now know im an adhd autistic and im trying to hack my brain to finish things.

bestie if you have read this far my cruise fic ship epilogue is actually a snippet of mcr having a dnd session haha. i couldn't stop myself

but in the meantime i will start drawing small comics for fun to improve and if i dont think they suck i might post them.

aww wait this is so fun! thank you anon <3 ok here are my thoughts:

1. in order, bayern, dortmund, leipzig ... eintracht frankfurt, freiburg. this is based truly on vibes and i'm sure will be deeply wrong but i do feel optimistic about bayern's season, i think dortmund will also be strong, and i think leipzig will be scary this year, so it's hard for me to imagine a different top 3. 4 & 5 are just my guesses based on form & vibes going into the season and also wishful thinking bc i generally like those teams lol

2. mmm good question. i'm scarred from last year (and the year before lol) but i think we'll get further this year. can't have bad luck forever? i'm gonna say quarter finals at least

3. ahhhh. ah. stressful question. i don't want to jinx anything but i'd love to see a s*** f***** appearance. i really am optimistic about the squad this year, the attack is really exciting, and i think the team mentality will be stronger this year because we're building something new, and i think we have really been missing that kind of excitement and creativity in the team

4. ooooh. hm. i think probably sadio? it seems like we're doing some kind of rotating attack thing, but i still see him getting the most. we'll see!

5. i know i said i can't see the top 3 being any other 3 teams, but i could imagine one of them struggling a lot unexpectedly. someone to struggle and fire their manager before the world cup maybe? idk this is so vague i'm sooo bad at predictions

6. bayern not winning every single match :/ no um. i do have fears about a couple of players in particular not being in form and getting dropped now that we actually have squad depth. but i refuse to name them because if i don't say it out loud it can't hurt me <3

[ ] The nightmares of her being executed, and then later being forced to watch yn get executed (including the blood landing on her if possible)

[ ] Her and Katherine having the scars on their necks (which you said you agree with the fanon idea)

[ ] Their dynamic if possible, with Anne being extrovert and yn being an introvert.

[ ] Anne seeing the little section dedicated to her at yns place (if that's where they go) including items she gave to yn, probs not noticing it when she first gets there but once she's feeling more like herself

[ ] Her feeling phantom pains on her neck after the nightmare.

[ ] If possible her having the mirror scare with the blood down her neck

[ ] Anne needing to check yns neck to see whether her nightmare was real

[ ] um I just had this thought.... Anne seeing the tower of london at some point and her reacting, (if yn is there that would be great) apparently it's a 46 min walk from there to the vaudeville theatre where six plays :D

Yes of course, it should be in Anne's perspective, and I'll be happy with that :D

hey pal!! sorry for the delayed response. i’ve been a little busy with work and eurovision.

honestly, the more detailed the request the better. it actually gives me a place to start and progress so i’m grateful the ideas. i’ll try to get most of it in, no need to worry. i just don’t want you to be disappointed if something is missing.

i’m pretty sure it won’t take a year, a couple months at most maybe but i’ll try to get it done as quickly as possible. i have work though and my tech training sessions at least once a week (soon to be more alongside a show we’re working on for july) i’ll try my best is my promise and it’s really sweet that you’ve always wanted to request from me. i’m happy you enjoy my messy fanfiction.

i have a kofi link at the top of each of my fandom masterlists but you really don’t have to pay for it. i don’t expect anything in return, i’m happy to write it regardless.

last question is do you want me to include descriptions of the queens?? i avoided them in my two other stories. i only ask because people see them entirely different depending on what cast they’ve seen so we probably have different pictures of what they look like. the gifs of millie are fun (she is literally so hot in person) but this is who i picture when it comes to miss boleyn…

bye here's this very silly gamer boy jungkook and astrology oc drabble that never left google docs until today >_<

Jeongguk doesn’t understand a single thing you’re rambling about. He got lost about three houses and four planets ago, the grin tugging at his lips bordering delirious as he watches your mouth run with a glow in his warm brown eyes. He likes the way you get when you’re explaining something you love; words flying fast and the franticness gripping your gaze somewhat adorable. You’re relatively quiet most of the time, immersed in your head until Jeongguk tugs you back out into reality. But not now - you might just set a record for fastest speaker ever if you keep talking at the pace you’re going at.

“Yeah, so, those are just the basics. You can really get into your chart by looking at your aspects as well but that might confuse you.” You finish it off with a small smile, tugging your knees under your chin like you’re waiting for his approval. He nods, slow, pretending he got some of what you said. He didn’t get anything, and maybe you can see that from the distance in his eyes. He feels somewhat guilty when you squint at him in accusation. “Did you even understand what I was saying?”

Jeongguk shrugs, shifting to tuck your pillow into his arms. The fabric kind of smells like you and it sends a tiny thrill through him. “Not really. But it’s interesting!”

“Interesting…” you return. And then your leg shoots out to knock him on the shin.

“Ow!” There’s a hand instantly cradling his leg. You didn’t kick him hard at all but Jeongguk’s always been one for dramatics.

The scoff you let out is void of remorse. “Why are you whining? I listen to all you elaborate gameplays all the time and I actually try to understand them.”

That’s a lie. You don’t most of the time. Your gaming strategy was just “Kill them all!” and if that didn’t work you opted for smashing all the buttons at once and then acting surprised when you’re the first one to die.

He can’t help but cock his head in disbelief, propping himself up on his elbows as you pout at him. “Are you really going to say that lie outloud and believe it?”

“Yes,” you retort, slipping off your bed. “I am.”

“What? Is that because your moon is venus and your Aquarius is cardinal? Or whatever,” he huffs, collapsing back on your comforter. He knows you're going to retrieve your tarot card set. How he ended up with an occult astrology obsessed girlfriend when he was an engineering major with a gaming addiction didn’t make sense to anyone—including himself.

“No,” you whine. Your tarot deck hits the bed sheets with a loud thump. “As an Leo sun with a Taurus moon, I tend to be very stubborn and unwilling to admit when I’m wrong.”

“Or,” he shoots back, “You’re just stubborn. You know, nothing to do with the stars.”

You smack his chest. “It’s everything to do with the stars, Jeongguk.”

“Ow! Ow! Okay! Relax with the violence, woman.”

“Refer to me like that again and you won’t have any balls by tomorrow morning,” you murmur, swiftly shuffling the deck with your nimble fingers.

He whistles low, idly gazing at your ceiling. “Why’s that? Venus in Retrograde?”

“Jeongguk.” He twists to meet your gaze. “My Venus is in Aries and it’s not in Retrograde. That’s a completely different concept.”

“What? So what am I? An Aries rising? Taurus Venus? Capricorn and Mercury in the 5th house? Squidward in my 2nd House? Spongebob in my Uranus?”

He loves you but astrology really sounds like horse shit majority of the time.

“You’re a Leo moon with a superiority complex and you need to shut-up. I’m trying to do a reading.”

“A reading on what?” He’s up again, moving so that his crossed legs bump against yours. “And why would I have a superiority complex?! I’m not a Leo—aren’t I a Virgo or something?”

“I said,” you sign, shuffling the cards harder. “You’re a Leo moon—moon, Jeongguk.”

“What the hell does that mean?” He’s suddenly invested. There’s no way in hell he has a superiority complex. “And what are you even doing a reading on?”

“If you were listening,” you retort, eyes narrowed when you glance up. “You would know what that meant. And, I’m doing a reading on how can I get my annoying boyfriend to shut-up."
