I Have to talk about YUUKEN!
I love what Twisted Wonderland did with Yuu as a concept like LOOK
LOOK AT THESE SCRUGGLIES
they could’ve went for a bland “relatable” blank slate protag but instead they said FUCK IT have a bunch of YUUs with such charming designs
Look at this guy he’s so epic. She’s so cool and has a lil forehead scar and HIM he’s so cute!
I’m genuinely so excited for the next books to be adapted so I can just collect the YUUs . I hope we see a fashionable Yuu (thinkin gyaru or goth) or yknow a straight dumbass like a Yuu that stinks to be around literally (man imagine a dumbass stuck in Book 6. pray for them)
Does this cause some continuity issues? Probably. But for a manga adaptation for a game like this I don’t mind it. It just makes each book special to me.
Another point to bring up. What about the anime? I don’t think it’s gonna follow the manga with all the YUUs which is a shame but the anime will probably have its own Yuu.
Anime!Yuu
Considering the direction of how Yuu is characterized in so many ways in the manga (sex, body, personality, etc.) I’m not concerned about how Yuu is done in the anime. I just hope I don’t get hit with passive protag #135368 common of visual novel to anime adaptations.

Thinking about how horrible to be with a yandere Malleus if
1: you love him, or just find him really attractive
And 2: you're the type of person who tries to avoid conflict and are too timid/intimidated and flustered by him to try and stop most of his insane ideas
Like imagine him talking crazy and just thundering out of nowhere like:
"I'm going to terminate every being who dares look at you" -hey, you really can't being doing that ... but what do I know, you're the strong one here
"If you won't come willingly, I'll just have to drag you in chains" -Excuse me!? ... I mean, you just have to ask, I'll go willingly, please don't hurt me
"Ruling is easy, all I have to do is show my superior strength and all tremble at my feet, ready to obey my every whim" -no, I don't think that's ruling, it sounds more like control through fear ... but you're making a effort, good first step?
And if he finds out every little thing about him or that he does that always makes your heartbeat speed up, he'd never have to worry about you trying to escape and work out a way to make you fully submit to him, power over you increasing significantly:
Gazing at you with hooded eyes (when he isn't angry) every minute he sees you
Smug smile on his face, fangs shining each time he let's out a deep, sensuous laugh in response to your half-hearted pleading and disagreements
Running his hands along your sides, or just caressing you, confidence rising as you shiver, noting the different yet similar reactions he gets when his hands are ungloved, your eyes captivated by the dark polish of his nails in contrast to his pale skin
Brushing his bangs back to reveal the unique markings on his forehead, laying on your stiff lap and making your brush back his hair for him, shivering with pleasure each time your shakey hands graze his sensitive horns
Dressing in form fitting, elegant clothes so your transfixed on the defined outline of his muscles, certain that you're eager to find what's underneath
Occasionally applying more makeup to his eyelids and lips, relishing in the way you gaze lingers on him for much longer than normal

Yeah. This man would be the death of me. Yandere and even just normal, clueless Tsunotaro who does all of this with no intentions whatsoever

Unpopular opinion, but I don't like how everyone tries to make Lilia into this dad figure for Sebek when Sebek already has a father, and not only that, its a father who loves and cares for him deeply regardless of how many times his son looks down on him for being a human. Dad Zigvolt is literally one of the best dads in canon; even Sebek,who hates his human side and takes that out against his father, cannot speak ill about him as a person in the few times he actually talks about him.
Yeah, Sebek cares for Lilia in a very mentor way, but I feel like so much of the fandom just tosses his real father aside because it doesn't fit the Diasomnia family aesthetic, and I honestly hate that. Sebek's dad already gets the short end of the stick from the entire country he lives in for being human with only his wife and some of his kids treating him kindly, he doesn't need fanon to do worse.
I could go on about how its bs that Yana never really makes Sebek question how much of an ass he is for doing this nor does anyone ever yell at him for him calling them human/looking down on them for something they literally cannot change (neither any fanfics which is double as sad), but that is another post.

Speaking of medical facilities in Twisted Wonderland.... how close is the campus to any hospital and/or town?
Okay. Fairly close.
Not sure what that means in context of a hospital, whether the town is big enough to have a fully functional hospital or just a clinic.
More than likely it's a smaller hospital with approximately 25 beds and a functional ER.
Healing magic makes things easier, of course. But I don't think it completely covers everything, and definitely doesn't work for injuries after a certain point of time passing.
Would imply limited care capabilities and fewer specialist. Which is interesting actually. With how many famous people go to Royal Sword and Night Raven.

But let me be real, I would 100% squish Jades face, Floyd is my bby boi- even tho he's been difficult and hasn't come home- Jade has, so Jade gets more love atm. first thing that comes to mind that I wanted to talk about is just,, these three are constantly lying to the point it's a little funny
You got Jade and Floyd sharing concerning sounding stories about their home and then you find out azul's mom runs a restaurant and her husband is a lawyer and something isn't quite adding up
They say they haven't been hanging out for long yet at some point they bring up how they were in a band together in the past
The eels say they're just going to bail on Azul if he stops being fun but even after his overblot, which very much was not fun at all, they actually still stick by him
To others it seems like there's some kind of power dynamic at play since Azul keeps getting asked to keep the other two under control but even Azul himself says they don't work like that- I don't think the eels got full control on Azul either though, they seem to recognize eachother as strong and work mostly as equals- Working together simply because they want to
The eels are pretty much the only ones who've seen Azul fully, including the things he tries to hide now, yet they seem to fully accept him - including how he was in the past- but most importantly they don't coddle him for being 'a crybaby' either. They tease him and mess with him in full knowledge that he is in fact strong. They don't look down on him and there's even been instances of them confirming Azul is strong or skilled even when he's not around to hear

Tonight I had a dream about being in a big old hotel with Floyd and I was exploring while Floyd was unpacking or smt and I found some little kid who wanted to hang out with me in a different room. I thought it was suspicious as hell and was like “nah imma just go back to my room” so I did and it like followed me back.
Whatever it was turned into something that looked like Jade grabbed my waist when I got into the room with Floyd. Then me and Floyd just looked at each other because we knew I probably just let some kind of demon into the room. The dream ends with me hearing the sound of bone’s cracking right next to me as whatever that thing is takes a new shape.

Okay this is just me complaining but
can we talk about how rushed the Eng server of twst is?
Like they’ve literally rushed everything to the point the game isn’t really all that enjoyable.
they’re literally already doing reruns of events because of how much they rushed everything. Like I get wanting to be in time with the jp server but you realize by doing that you’re making the game go by too fast to the point we’re already near the end of the game? And so far we’ve only had ONE anniversary event. Which mean the game has only been announced for ONE year and you’re already towards the end of it.
Like they even rushed certain cards that didn’t come out in the jp server for a long time. Like I said before I completely get wanting to be up to date with the original but at least give the Eng only fans time to ACTUALLY enjoy the game like they did with the fans who originally watched the eng translations.
The fun part of twst that kept everyone hooked was the fact that we had to wait for new chapters and events to come out but Eng twst just rushed all of that.

Twst Chapter 5 really pisses me off
I haven't fully completed it yet but Vil really does my head in. Like hello? You are a guest in Ramshackle so act accordingly. This is not Pomefiore, you do not have jurisdiction over what everyone eats, or THE FUCKING RIGHT TO POISON ANYONE!!
I especially hate how we/Yuu just allow this??? Like they complain to a certain extent but our choices when he said we wouldn't get punished for not eating sugar and to go to bed was between "yes sir" and "sorry guys" (we're leaving the others to their fate) Like wtf??? Do we not have control over what goes on in Ramshackle??? We're just leaving our friends paralysed on the floor because some prissy bitch decided? I'll repeat, Vil is a guest. Crowley even says that maybe one day we'll have more students in Ramshackle to look after which means we're technically a housewarden but (as a redditor phrases it) 'with the power to mettle in whoever's dorm [we] see fit' (i.e. us handling the overblots) so Vil is not allowed to punish other students, especially ones that don't belong in his dorm. The fact we're just so docile and compliant to this is just further enabling behaviour that just shouldn't be allowed. Fair enough if it was in Pomefiore where he has the authority as housewarden to enact these rules BUT WHEN LIVING IN A DORM THAT ISN'T YOUR OWN YOU SHOULD ASK BEFORE INSTILLING RULES. I just hate how we do not have a backbone at all, despite being told how blunt we can be and sometimes impulsive, which I don't really see since the dialogue options are mild at best. The only time I find that claim to be true is in chapter 3 when Leona says we threatened to ruin his sleep every night if he didn't help us, and even then Ruggie mentions how he only helped because he had incentive to which aligned with what we wanted him to do.
Going back to the original point, Vil needs to learn his fucking place and Yuu needs to grow a fucking backbone. He even calls us/Yuu manager, so as manager, and prefect, let's exert authority by making him learn his right from wrong. Why should we even need to do this? He should learn that himself, he's not a baby and we're not his parent (but given some of the fics I read hints to his upbringing not being so great) however if we need to be a condescending shit towards him then I'm fully on board. He and his dumb nicknames can both exit the Ramshackle premises because he is NOT welcome with that attitude and behaviour.
If he continues we should just threaten him with housing Neige at Ramshackle during his visit at NRC.

Hi!
It’s been quite a while since my last post. I’ve been in a slump lately and I haven’t been able to get back into normalcy again.
Well, I just wanted to ask a couple of things and share some thoughts on twst.
Also, Grim recent card spoiler alert!
Let’s get to it!
Okay. First of all I want to make sure that you all know that I love all of the twisted wonderland characters a lot! I am in no way trying to hate on Rook or Neige or Vil. This is just a thought I had and wanted to know if someone feels the same. I am in no way hating. Just to make sure that we all are on the same page here.
Is anyone else still annoyed with Rook because he voted for Neige instead of his own group?
I get that he’s a fan of him but isn’t his friend’s and his hard work more important?
What did Neige give him that makes him more important than his best friend?
If my friend and I worked hard on something together and someone I’m a big fan of is our opponent, I would vote for us. Just because my friend worked with me on it.
I absolutely understand if someone says “maybe Rook voted for Neige not because he’s a fan really but because Vil had bad intentions against him and was going to act on those intentions”.
Understandable. Absolutely.
I do not in anyway think that Vil was acting in an appropriate manner. On the contrary, his actions were highly inappropriate. Nobody has the right to hurt another for any reason.
Rook isn’t a green flag either, he’s quite the stalker, creepily so. I get the hunter act but, to the point where he knows Malleus’s clothing size and openly gifting him an article of clothing that perfectly fits him? Nah. That’s way overboard for it being a reference to a hunter, it’s more of a reference to being a creep if I may say so.
I truly don’t understand how he’s gotten away with it so far.
I know that the point of twisted wonderland is that these Disney villains are made into characters with personalities that take their traits and embody them. Most traits are negative. They take desperate measures, that could have more bad consequences than good, to get what they want/deserve/need.
Anyway, I got off track.
What I mean to say is Rook didn’t side with his friend when his friend needed it the most. That makes me sad every time I think about it.
Well whatever, I don’t really know how to explain my train of thought.
I also wanted to gush over how cute our little Grim is in his recent card.

Okay.
I love Malleus I really do.
But this overblot Malleus, this leading into overblot Malleus actually gives me chills. His blotting happened way too fast. And the mini battle? He is literally invincible
His voice? His singing/humming voice? Absolutely beautiful.
But
If we end up waking up in Diasomnia or in the dream world/state or wherever he put us in and go around trying to find a way to wake everyone up and stop him and we hear him in the distance, humming like he did, his sprite no where in sight, with or without footsteps?
It's game over. K.O. Just let him take control at that point, appease him. I'd be crying and just trying to hide.
But Kazuki Kato did a phenomenal job.
I'm excited to see more, love this game

Paquette la Chantefleurie and Rollo Flamme similarities rambling
I just finished reading Notre dame de paris yesterday in just 4 days because I was too into it and I noticed how Rollo's backstory, character, personality is really leaning more into the characters in the novel (esp. Frollo in this case) more than the Dsney adaptation and here's my incoherent lowkey short rambling below about Paquette or Sister Gudule and Rollo. Obviously, this has spoilers for the novel so if you don't mind that then feel free to read.
Who is Paquette La Chantefleurie?
Paquette or Sister Gudule as known by others is Agnes or Esmeralda's biological mother. After the Romani kidnapped Agnes as a baby (which they replaced her with baby Quasimodo), the people believed that they cannibalized baby Agnes which lead to Gudule believing that she was dead and thus creating this hatred towards those people not knowing that her beloved Agnes is growing to be one of them (which she also showed hatred towards Esmeralda too when she first met her.) Anyways she has a tragic end which I won't dive into much.
Rollo and Gudule? What's the similarities?
After Agnes's disappearance, Gudule lived a life of seclusion (hmmmm.....) and holds great disdain towards the Romani. Familiar? While Rollo's hatred towards magic users might look like how Disney Frollo's hatred towards the Romani stems from, I feel like if we base it on the novel, it all stems down towards Gudule more than Frollo (cuz Novel Frollo is so into alchemy that people believe he's a sorcerer lol and he's really just a solely Esmeralda hater rrrr. He never looked at them the same extreme ways as Disney does and Novel Frollo's actually very tragic in the novel... rip.)
So how are they similar then? As I thought a lot lately, Rollo's hatred for magic only stemmed when magic took his brother the same way the Romani took Gudule's only beloved daughter. Rollo then grew up to be the thing he despises (being a magic user) and Esmeralda grew up to be the someone that Gudule despises. Rollo's hatred isn't because he's straight up evil like Disney Frollo is, but because there was an even deeper reason like Sister Gudule. (It's so hard to put it into words but that's it. That's ittt!)
Rollo's brother and Esmeralda
Now it finally stems down to this. Rollo's brother, while surely base on Novel Frollo's brother, Jehan, obviously does not take his rebellious personality. In fact, base on Rollo's flashbacks of him, he cares alot about Rollo and really shows him magic because... well, Rollo enjoys it too... even with minimal description I feel like Rollo's brother, if Rollo = Sister Gudule would be Esmeralda/Agnes.
Also I'd love to note how we know how twst characters aren't particularly always base solely on their counterparts, Rollo also has Esmeralda's features (green eyes), the goats being drawn to him and all (lol), and if he were to choose goats over anything else i'd even say he'd have Pierre Gringoire's silliness.
Additional random rambling
I swear to god Novel Frollo >>> Disney Frollo in terms of who Rollo is. Understandable since Yana base a lot on the musical which leans more into the Novel. Hjihsjssjd gosh when Jehan died in the novel tho, that's where Frollo really snapped and went, "fuck this I've got nothing to lose anymore." So yeah
