Finished watching My Country: The New Age yesterday, and I’m still thinking about Seon-Ho and Hwi.

Still in my mourning state about the Lockwood and Co show cancellation. I know it's just a show and these things happen quite frequently nowadays but hell, the original book series came to my attention at the right time exactly when I needed something comforting and entertaining. And it deserves any last bit of praise. The story feels like coming home even if it is (primarily) middle-grade ghost story.

And the show with everyone involved (from the absolutely perfect cast, creative team, crew even Jonathan Stroud himself) surely deserved better than getting cancelled after just one season. From what we've seen the adaptation was held in the great care and love and being true to its source material including the changes and additions to the plot which sadly we won't see developed further for now.

For now we have to sadly say goodbye to introducing certain Miss Holly Munro, getting to know more about The Skull (my vision of him was played by Cameron Chapman in my head) , exploring more of the Problem (Fittes vs Rottwell), more Locklyle moments (I bet we would have seen much more developed story of Lucy and Lockwood if we were blessed with the renewal), the Other Side, the Capes, adding Quill Kipps (with goggles) to the family of Portland Row and many more.

And remember 'just reckless enough'.
