ZOSAN FIC REC

Here is some of my fave zosan fics. Some of these I read years ago and so I don't fully remember what theyre about but they we're good enough that I still have strong emotional attachments when I see the name. Most of them are things I've read recently. Literally all I do all day is homework and have an app tts fanfics to me like an audio book so there's quite a few of recs here. I am not the best at summeries but just trust me bro these are GOOD SHIT. I only provide the best. What I consider a good fic: - Takes place in the one piece world (I don't like modern aus) - Characters stay in character or if they do have changes from their canon portrayal there is a justifiable reason from within the story. - Solid story telling and arcs (even the shorter fics) - The Zosan dynamic is kept mostly how it is in canon they fight and bicker. (I know some like when they're soft with eachother like a loving married couple. You won't find much of that here) - Some of these have pervy sanji, que nose bleeds and ogling. With that out of the way here's the list!! Now to my fave zosan fic of all time and ironically enough the only fic taking place in a modern setting: Life is fine series. TW: Drug abuse, heavy angst, depression I have reread this twice and forced a friend to read it too. It is so amazing not just for the zosan but for the genuinely good story telling. You follow zoro reeling from his sudden loss of relationship with Sanji and falling down a...Well uh, path. It's fucked it's dark it's depressing and its fucking riviting. Alot of the time reading this you're just like WHY DID SANJI LEAVE HIM WHAT IS GOING ON??? Honestly I need to reread this again. Onto softer fics to heal your heart after that one: Honor in limits, his strengths in weakness By Hawksbrood

This was just so good and cute. I appreciate watching zoro appreciate sanji. They take care of eachother but in a way where theyre both still them yeah know? I appreciate how sanji is written letting himself be vulnerable but understanding that he's always gonna be crass cause it's just a part of who he is.

Zoro doesn't really even want to work there in the first place, but, well, there’s this thing with Sanji, and this thing with feelings and the whole thing is pretty damn stupid all together. Zeff just wants grandkids. He’s too old for this bullshit anyways. I am sure everyone knows 8ball very well they're like zosan famous but still just in case this one is really fucking good. Also read this 3 years ago so I don't remember much but I consider this a zosan classic. Onto the rated R Grand Buffet by asyndese Drunk fic!! If there was one thing Zoro knew, it was that you could always trust Sanji's inclinations to do a beautiful 180 as soon as he was drunk. Luckily, Zoro was more than equipped to handle it. After crossing paths in town on more than one occasion, the two find they have a lot more in common than they would like to admit. I hunted this down for like fucking hours a couple of weeks ago because it was that good. Stark_Black has a fucking library worth of zosan fics this one is a classic to me. Ok this is 152k long its pretty insane. It regoes over the arcs so throughly so carefully that I literally had to question my memory because I havent experienced alot of these arcs in a while (it's one of the reasons im rewatching one piece). I will say despite how amazing and well written this is I had a hard time comprehending sometimes. now I was sick at the time of reading this so that might be why but sometimes the way things were phrased felt like yoda talking. I think it's just me though. I'm not used to big words :( And thats a wrap!! These arent even all the ones I wanted to include I have at least 20 more off the top of my head but I'll save that for another day. I hope you find joy in these fics Like i did I'll def do another one of these as cause I didnt even touch my sanji centric fics or germa 66 or just in general the best sanji fanfic writers. ok i lied. the taming of the wolf! canon divergence where derek lives in the burnt hale house nd stiles befriends him.. heehee<3 its all so sweet and cute. one scene always stays w me it’s derek fighting and screams at stiles to run and stiles actually does because he knows derek trusts him to do it and knows that derek wouldnt want him to get hurt 🥺 its a really nice difference from the usual stiles scenes when derek says that and it was really sweet to me.. like it makes sense to me..

OK LAST ONE I PROMMY. the beginner’s guide to everyday magic. Ok. stiles gets pushed out of the pack BUT IN A WAY THAT MAKES TOOOOTAL SENSE! yall know i wouldnt give yall a pushed out of pack that doesnt make any sense! this shit was toooo good! stiles moves to the countryside and its just SO good. really warm and good

OK LAST ONE AGAIN. all your problems are distractions. ok this doesnr focus on sterek much because it’s post s3a where scott is being his usual adorable self who just wants to help allison & stiles but it kinda goes crazy 🥺 allison and stiles’ genders are changed and it’s basically a story on how they handle it. i am not immune to a really good and cute stallison fic okay!

WAIT WAIT OKAY LAST ONE LEGIT! traces by siand!!!!! one of the few siand fics i like LOL this is a deleted fic.. its post nogitsune and im soooo fucking in love w this it’s basically everything i want and need in a Post nogutsune fic!! ALSO THE DEREK IN THIS ONE IS SOOO FUCKING GOOD YALLLL i wish siand would go back to writing derek like this uts sooo fucking good 😭 def recommend!

wait okay this one FUCK i almost forgot! but thunderstorms and police lullabies. THIS THE FUCKING ONE UALLLLL!!!! fix it fic for before boyd dies .. oh gid man. just a really good fic for stiles healing and a wonderful pack. its seriously one of the fics i always reread its so so soothing and healing. kinda wish the sciles was a little better but its honestly so worth it..

Any thoughts about the Mafuyu and Shizuku’s parallels?

wait hold on i actually never heard someone mention those before... is this a sign to catch up on mmj stories cause i dont feel like i know enough about the group yet especially shizuku to say anything but im interested where this came from now....

uhh again i dont actually know all that much about shizuku cause i mostly only read wxs/vbs/n25 stories since theyre my fave units but from what i know i guess i kinda get why people would want to compare these 2.. ?? maybe?

i mean they both r kinda afraid to stand up for themselves in a way? i can see similarities in that, and i know they both have a pretty significant influence on the other from the conversations i did see between them [tho mind you they were mostly just area conversations] with the way they support eachother in their own struggles, tho mafuyu obviously doesnt really show hers...

theyre both perceived as perfect as well, just in different ways, with mafuyu seemingly being a perfect student, a perfect, kind and intelligent child but we know what the real mafuyu is actually like.. clearly not perfect. and its similar with shizuku, her perfect looks makes everyone jealous because shes so gorgeous its unreal, but once you know her personality you know shes far from ideal, being described as quite the airhead. their actual, real personalities are the furthest thing from perfect obviously.

as an idol shizuku definetly feels the need to be perfect, which i think was even mentioned in the stories but again, havent read them yet so might be wrong on that, but i think its a pretty big thing when ur an idol... [i only read the main story a while back so i dont actually remember much from it] which is also the case with mafuyu, tho shizuku obviously is a way milder case.. but from what ive seen shizuku doesnt actually stick to the perfect facade she wishes to put on? at least, not to her friends but even in the latest event she seemed to be her quirky self, so i guess maybe either it wasnt actually an issue or she accepted herself

idk, i can see the similarities but to dive deeper i would definetly need to read some stories which i dont rlly have time for rn, very interesting pair tho!! i think their friendship is very cute :3

ill try to come back with some thoughts on it when i get some ideas after i check out the stories, idk when ill have time for that tho

i can see that theres a matching theme going on. the younger boys get the light blue/dark colors casual matchy theme and the older ones get a more sophisticated and primarily black deal

and also asymmetrical designs. which, as u said, theres nothing wrong with that! i even like asymmetrical designs a lot! but these ones have me tilting my head JHVSKJDHKF

artem is the lesser evil here. his shirt isnt bad, per se, it just takes me a second glance to understand whats going on cuz the pattern acts a bit like an optical illusion at first

but vyn....

okay, the one half of the shirt being untucked is something i maybe couldve gotten used to. eventually

but having just a Single Suspender is making me go nuts omfg. additionally, there seems to be a second strap coming out of the longer portion of his shirt? is that the other unused suspender?? or is it something else altogether? i have No idea what it does but unlike the chain in belt loops for marius and luke, my confusion trumps the an aesthetic merit i'd end up seeing JHKJSDHFKSD

i must say tho that i like the gold detailing on vyn's shirt, thats pretty :DDD

full verdict: luke finally gets his moment to shine with an R card outfit that makes sense. vyn has had too many wins in the past with awesome outfits, so for the sake of equality, it is Him who gets the confounding piece of apparel this time

its 5-star day!!!! which means i get to do my fave thing and rank the album based exclusively on my first listen. ive only heard all of these once with the exception of the title so these are just first thoughts. my rankings always change insanely after like a week (looking at my maxident rankings im always like …weird!!)

rankings of the album below the cut!

1. fnf - oh my god i cant believe theyre singing abt five nights at freddys… this song is genuinely so good though; it makes me feel the same joy as i cant stop or the view does upon first listen. its emotional but its danceable, its got everything.

2. collision - THIS SONG WASNT EVEN RLLY ON MY RADAR AS A POTENTIAL FAVORITE?? (talk abt a collision haha!!) but dare i say it is actually my favorite?? (edit: its actually my second favorite) its a really fun track; this is one i would hope would get a dance tbh bcuz i think itd look really cool

3. topline - this song is such an ear worm its been stuck in my head before it even came out; it simultaneously serves cunt and bad ass at the same time; tiger jks verse eats. love the vocals in it too, and the BOM DIGGY DIGGY BOM BOM BOM BOM. its a rlly fun enjoyable song def gonna be on my list of faves

3. youtiful - i thought it was gonna be cringe which it kinda is but its also heartwarming and a bit sad. it would probably rank a bit higher if it didnt have some tough competition but ‘the universe in ur eyes’??? UGH IM BASHING MY HEAD INTO A WALL SCREAMING OK ITS CHEESY BUT ITS ALSO GREAT. our first tie because in making this these two kept switching ranks over and over

4. DLC - ok dlc standing for dance like crazy is so cute. this song makes me wanna just vibe and have a great time; just dont listen to the lyrics they make me a bit sad just a little bit. also the pre chorus whisper with a harmony right underneath? YES PLZ. eating this for breakfast this is so good

5. hall of fame - WOAH! early on i was like oh its nice but maybe not my fave until the kinda tron-ish break down before the chorus its kinda hypnotic—ONE SMALL STEP FOR MAN ONE GIANT LEAP FOR MANKIND made me giggle lol—the instrumental of this song is v interesting i like it a lot (this was actually below #6 for a hot second before i made a last minute call)

6. superbowl - you whisper in a song and thats it for me it kills me sorry!! someone said this is god menu pt 2 and it is its so good (i dont care that the lyrics are goofy i love it) this ones rank was shakey until the end that rlly sold it for me. noticing a trend of rlly strong outros on this album

6. get lit - i rlly struggled with this and superbowls ranks so theyre getting the same rank. skz knows how to make an amazing party song fr. i love a lil edm moment i wish they would do even more like side effects level breakdown

7. s-class - okay this song is a bit all over the place but kind of in a way that fucks; like its a mess in a way that if would blow my mind to play a shooter too! i do love IN’s breakdown he gets i LOOOOVE his voice. also the last bit before the end starting at like 2:35 to the end kinda reminds me of og skz in a way i rlly enjoy

8. item - really like the instrumentals they r playing w this album. im kinda predicting that this will be the song on the album that grows on me a lot; i really enjoy the breakdown towards the end and the videogame core of it all

honorable mentions (i dont rank previously released songs!!):

the sound - i didnt like this song like at all when it came out but it IS better in korean.

time out - we know her, we love her, she cant be in the rankings because she would top them and im biased cuz i listen to it all the time!
