The thing about whiny misogynist pissbabies calling the Barbie movie “anti-men” is that the emotional resolution of the narrative is the male character being told that he is enough as the person he is, regardless of status qualifiers like a girlfriend or a career. It’s the most pro-men message imaginable. You don’t have to be successful in societal-mandated ways to matter. You don’t have to be in a relationship with a woman to matter. Not meeting unrealistic standards of masculine success does not make you a loser.
Ken dives in a performative exhibition of hegemonic masculinity (he literally says he lost interest in the patriarchy when he realized it wasn’t about horses: his adoption of hegemonic masculinity behavior is a performance. Hegemonic gender roles ARE a performance.) because he’s scared. The original state of Barbieland is indeed toxic (the point is that Stereotypical Barbie fixes everything by leaving Barbieland and becoming a real woman, not a sterotype of a woman), and that makes Ken insecure and frustrated. He heals by being told that he matters regardless of the achievements that he is supposed to have in order to be a Man(TM).
The movie is a love letter to both women and men, it’s just anti-misogynists who feel threatened by women existing as people.

Related to my prev post:
I don't give two shits if Bruce is written like a bad dad if it means we get good writing for everybody else since i think minorities are more important than a white cishet male nepotism baby unlike his butch lesbian counterpart who's judaism is an actual fundamental part of her character and since he's been written as abusive so consistently over the years it's in-character anyway
Dick can be both bi/pan and demisexual and there's more evidence for the latter than the former so making him be sexually loose is aspec erasure and mspec stereotyping and he dosen't have a thing for redheads,he has a thing for black women and to me the only guy he seems to like romantically is Roy and that adds on to his demisexuality since they're childhood best friends
'Catholic guilt Jason' is a shit headcanon that misses the major and critical part of him being Red Hood that he didn't feel the slightest bit bad about killing people and the point of his redemption was learning remorse, afrolatino Jason isn't based on stereotyping but him filling out so many black and latino cultural aspects and if any hcs for him are stereotyping it's the one that he's a slut because he's a very handsome and hot and cute goth punk man
Tim is perfect the way he is and dosen't need power ups or to get 'punished' for the oh so horrible crime of being a realistic teenage boy,he's not JUST huge a loser or a super cool dude but both at once and it's bad writing and fetishistic to ignore his wide range of relathionships that consists of mostly of women to make him a 'guys guy'
Stephanie is heavily autistic and bpd-coded so she's far from a 'normie',much less an 'it girl' but people see blonde hair and blue eyes and throw away everything else about her because that's all she's worth to them or call her an abuser and a pick me just like they do irl bpdtistic women and she's also canonically pastel/indie punk and a Team Mom but gets her presentation switched to basic and made out to be a womanchild instead
Cass had a million times more moral conflict than Jason ever did, would never in her LIFE wanna be feminine even in the chinese way and would be butch in it instead, turning her scattered speech into sign language is ableist not unlike(but not on the same level as)changing Babs' type of wheelchair disability and she'd be a better Batman than any male character in existense
Duke is only a golden child in the sense he has a yellow motif and is as disruptive and authentically quirky as his siblings,We Are Robin is a better team than the canon Outlaws, his powers are cooler than any Al-Ghul ones you could come up with,he has more femme energy than Tim does and Carrie Kelley ain't shit and only gets brought back to replace him because DC is antiblack
Damian's introduction mentality was a result of not only child abuse but also psychological grooming to get him to dehumanize himself and all his bigoted comments are explained either by him being like 12 or his writers trying to demonize brown people and anybody who thinks he's a bad person is a super-sized pissbaby with no sympathy for kids of color, shipping him with Jon is making a bisexual man into a ped0phile and Jay is good even if aging Jon up wasn't and he should be friends with Maya,Suren,Nell,Colin,Kathy,Maps,Tai and Miles,Gwen,Peni,Pavitr,Hobie and Margo from Atsv and Nico and Hazel from Pjo instead of Billy Batson or Danny Fenton or ANY Mcu characters
Talia is super hot but should be drawn in accurate arab clothes instead 'sexy assasian gear'(not that these two can't co-exist but you get what i mean),her personality is extremely rich and her stories are mega interesting, she's a good mom to Damian and literally never 'took advantage of Jason' seeing as That Scene In Lost Days was decanonized by it's writer who said it was ooc for her on his part, she should've been a mom figure to Stephanie in her Robin Days too since they would get along and she deserved her own run where she takes over Lexcorp to transform it into a force for good and become Superfam-adjacent to free herself from having only male connections

Things I have suspected about tumblr for years that have recently been confirmed to be...more correct than I thought:
1) Staff ranges from "just doing their job" to "actively on our side but limited in their power by virtue of their position on the ladder, their limited capacity as too few individuals, or both"
2) Matt is a thin-skinned egomaniacal bigot in that shitty liberal "nooooo I'm not transphobic or racist or sexist or anything like that, I don't SEE color/gender, I'm totally fair, anyway what is systemic inequality and what does that have to do with it being a trans girl who bruised my ego so severely I went on a days-long nuclear meltdown I mean totally harassed me and everyone's upset at ME for it, and why is everyone calling me transphobic and transmisogynistic for refusing to take 5 seconds to learn anything about trans people instead of leaning on what I learned from dickgirl porn? I said theyre allowed to exist and be on my website!" cowardly kind of way
3) There is a subset of staff trying to do damage control with his bullshit, to unfortunately limited effect
Things I have learned about tumblr over the past few days that HAVE come as a surprise, at least in their intensity if nothing else:
1) The company structure at this hellsite is even worse than I thought holy fuck, this place is run like even more of a dictatorship than your average company,
2) ...for all this website's userbase loves to talk about unions and striking and labor taking its power back, too many people have no idea how difficult that can be or how many risks it entails, and,
3) ...I shudder to wonder how much worse it would be around here WITHOUT the subset of staff that's on our side, and I don't know if it's worse if the answer would turn out to be "a LOT worse" or "only a little worse because of how little Matt has ever fucking listened to anyone ever"..........but I can't STOP wondering in large part because if car-hammer pissbaby doesn't step down we're probably going to find out

jojo sexuality headcanons lmao parts 1-3
ive scrounged the internet (well, lightly sifted through and then got bored) for a jojos bizarre adventure sexuality headcanons post that I agreed with completely and I literally could not find any so here’s my opinion that nobody asked for 😘
feel free to argue with me in the comments I’ll probably respond lol
Tumblr media
first up Jonathan joestar- straight ally
I think most people can agree that Jonathan is probs the straightest joestar (that I know of, I’ve read up to part 7 but I’ve heard gappy is pretty fucking straight) but yeah he’s straight
He probs doesn’t even fully understand what being not straight is but if someone he knew came out to him he would be very supportive even if he didn’t know what it rlly meant
Tumblr media
speedwagon-gay
idk if this is a hot take or not but this man did not have any sort of interest in women and was never married which if he was gay would make since back then bc being not straight wasn’t the norm lmao also there was that one scene in part 2 where Joseph was implying that speedwagon might’ve felt something more than friendship for jonathan so that’s why i think this
(I’m not gonna do dio bc his bisexuality was already confirmed by the one and only araki so that doesn’t rlly need an explanation 😭)
Tumblr media
joseph joestar: bicurious (female leaning)
I was scratching my head tryna come up with a sexuality for this fucker and eventually settled for bicurious bc we all know that there was sum going on with him and caesar but also he had a wife whom he cheated on with another woman so I mean
caesar was def his awakening that he might like men but sadly the rocks smashed caesar before Joseph could 😔 also Joseph wears far too many crop tops to be straight like let’s be honest
(bicurious applies to oldseph aswell)
Tumblr media
Caesar zeppeli: homoromantic bisexual
dis bro would never date women. but eat them out? Hell fucking yeah
he like dick too tho bc ik damn well if this hoe didn’t get crushed by a rock he would not have a wife like bro what
The words caesar and wife have no business being in the same sentence. Yk this hoe would have a hella 100% Italian husband named like Giuseppe or some shit who would only eat spaghetti for dinner literally every night
this poor dude just wanted some joestarussy but we all know that rocks are homophobic 😔
Tumblr media
lisa lisa-lesbian
she’s lesbian bc I said so she married a dude bc she was bored ok I literally do not care what anybody says
look at her
she’s a lesbian
for all the pillarmen it literally depends on the day, like one day they have big buff boyfriends and then a good nights sleep will make them like homophobic superstraights
Tumblr media
jotaro kujo: gay demiromantic asexual (sex indifferent)
first off jotaro really does not strike me as the type to think about romantic relationships all that much and definitely does not consider anybody for a romantic relationship upon first meeting them. he needs time to feel something more than platonic. I’ve seen people say that he’s aroace which I do think could be possible but I personally think that he does want love and care wether it be platonic or romantic
asexual just makes sense for him I’m pretty sure the majority of the fandom (not including the homophobic pissbabies) can agree with this. he doesn’t understand how people can just look at someone and feel attracted to them, bro probably discovered asexuality when he saw a meme that he related to and saw the asexual hashtags in the caption bro
also he’s just gay. like there is no way that he likes anybody except men. if this bro wanted a gf he’s got plenty of hoes to choose from. But he didn’t. Also he treats his hoes like shit lmao
and don’t even THINK about bringing up his wife (whom didn’t even have a name cause she was so unimportant, for convenience I’m gonna call her samantha smith) bc you and me both know damn well that samantha smith only exists to continue the bloodline. we also all know damn well that araki would make plot points that contradict against characters to continue the story. people who think jotaro is straight need to get real
Tumblr media
noriaki kakyoin: panromantic aceflux
listen I was going to say he was gay but I changed my mind because I really can’t imagine him caring about gender all that much. he does look like a twink tho I can’t deny it
Also araki did actually confirm that kakyoin likes both men and women (he said something along the lines of “I could see kakyoin falling in love with a man” idk I’m too lazy to look up exact wording) but I mean you can take one look at this dude and be able to tell that he is both not straight and has pronouns. I mean look at him
also I’m tired of people characterizing him as the UwU pissbaby fucktoy so he’s aceflux 1. Because I said so and 2. Because it just makes sense idk how to explain it
(ps if I see a kakyoin milf hunter joke in the comments to argue against kakyoin being not straight im going to fire a missile at your house bc telling the same joke for like 15 years isn’t funny luv xx)
Tumblr media
polnareff: pansexual
dis bro is desperate. he can’t be affording to care about gender man he’s tried to rizz up like 15 genders and failed at all of them you think he can actually afford to be anything but pansexual? also he fr fr just gives off stereotypical chaotic pansexual vibes
jokes aside tho he def don’t care. aslong as you give him validation you’ve already won him over
Tumblr media
muhammad avdol: gay demiromantic demisexual
he don’t really think about it all that much he only realizes if he likes somebody after he’s super close to them definitely. He do have a touch of the gay tho
if you disagree with any of these I would love to hear your headcanons in the comments!/gen
pls no like super heated arguments tho lol
also I might do parts 4-7 in another post cause this was fun asf

@skatoonyfan1234 + the lovely anon!
Tumblr media
“Oh, it's fantastic! I'm having a blast. You should try it sometime !!”
No one in history has ever been more sarcastic.
// but actually, though, while ex-King pissbaby is throwing a tantrum, I can elucidate how I see things being there~ ヽ(ヅ)ノ
yes, it's itty-bitty (thank you, anon; Magnifico is thrilled by you noticing). i see "mirror prison" being somewhat of its own pocket dimension: a place where time doesn't actually pass, which means that unless our king finds a way out of his lil timeout corner, he's basically stuck there eternally.
so: he won't age while he's in there, he won't get hungry (which is good, as he'd starve otherwise), he won't get tired, etc. he's just... existing within this confined space as a fun wall decoration that will literally never get old! °˖✧◝(⁰▿⁰)◜✧˖° immortality achieved but in the worst possible way...
also, the space is definitely dark with no distinguishable traits—so his only source of light is literally any light existing on the other SIDE of that mirror (window, more accurately put: light streams in through that). he can, however, still use his magic in there... ♡( ◡‿◡ ) which may or may not be how he does eventually manage to get out

for some reason the “nothing in life matters the universe is going to fizzle away eventually anyway”-type nihilism does the opposite of making me a worse person in a really weird way like whenever I catch myself going down a pissbaby spiral of getting internally very angry and bitter about really trivial things if I think how we’ll all be less than dust in the end I’ll end up telling myself “so why should you waste your existence on caring about shit like that”. if some interdimensional being after the heat death of the universe pointed at a mist of elementary particles and was like “did you know that these particles once comprised a sentient dipshit being that participated in fandom discourse” I would be more than very very long dead at that point, time will probably not even be relevant anymore but still I’d be mortified is this even comprehensible at this point

I really like your take on Levi, and now I wanna hear what was your Marxist critique on Levi.
Levi being transfem is interesting, though I can't really detach from Levi being tranmasc because the brainrot said so. I am aware there are trans men who also crossdress so it would seem like an interesting idea to have Levi dress in a feminine manner (probably courtesy of Marina) as a way as to not only distant himself from his past but also help him understand that he doesn't need to conform to society's standard of what a man should be. Wouldn't be surprised he initially accepted conscription because he tried to live up to that standard.
transmasc levi is a perfectly valid interpretation as well! if a character speaks to you in some way that makes you connect deeper w them, then kudos rock n roll my dude :3
anyway, k so basically the Marxist critique was like “levi’s suffering as a child soldier is somewhat presented as a depressing, unchanging ‘fact’ of reality is kind of disingenuous and peddles the harmful idea that everything awful in this world is ultimately unchangeable, and any attempts to change it is ultimately pointless.
‘because the funger world has the old gods who (though they have supposedly left) hold ultimate dominion over every event, then everything levi and to an extent all characters suffer is merely a machination of their existence. because the old gods exist, there is a sort of “reason,” the series posits.
‘and yeah, this is somewhat true to our reality because the systems that govern our world are quite intricate, vast, and unknowable—like a god beyond our comprehension— but it’s just that, a system, not a rule like the old gods of funger.
‘basically, Funger does this thing that i hate with most series where deeply bad shit happens and says “well, that’s just the way things are” to some extent—most attempts by people to break out of the cycle just repeat it once more, as per design.
‘levi—and every character’s suffering—may be resolved on an individual level (as they are in my interpretations bc i’m a whiny pissbaby who likes happy endings), but that still doesn’t really aid in addressing the root issue, does it? because that “root issue” is often ultimately presented as a result of otherworldly influences, beyond comprehension.
‘another Marxist critique is how the narratives of history have been ritualized, the world is ultimately controlled by the “Great Men” of history who decide how the next century should proceed. that’s literally how the New Gods operate, and though it’s mostly to emphasize how history continues to repeat itself, Funger doesn’t really acknowledge how humans have made real change. not through some kind of “great man” who was just Better than every other Guy around to cause any sort of change but
‘in a sense (and a potential counterpoint to my critique), you can interpret the ending A of Termina as a Marxist revolution—a collective movement of the people to unite as one and overturn the previous regime. the characters who get absorbed into Logic describe the process as something warm, like sleep, as they become something infinitesimally greater than themselves. the events of the festival can be metaphorically interpreted as a set of workers being pushed to their breaking point—individuals who have been largely cast out of their society and isolated from their work who now have “nothing to lose but your chains.” but i’d have to see where Mr. Haverinen takes Logic bc this interpretation is already super shoe-horny.”
But I didn’t go with this “opinion” mainly bc it doesn’t really address Levi too much and also bc I don’t really like presenting this opinion as something holistic. Like, this isn’t how the Funger-franchise is meant to be interpreted, and it’s point of view on suffering is less of a critique on class, power structures, the narrative of history, etc and more a reflection on a basic human condition: life sucks. Sometimes, you can’t do anything about it, but you persevere anyway. Here’s how you can use it for the better. But ultimately, this shit sucks, and sometimes that’s just the way it is.
It’s less concerned with solving problems and more focused on sympathy, suffering as empowerment, learning from it, that kind of thing. And I’m okay with just interpreting it as that bc that still is meaningful in its own way, and I think you get the most meaning out of a work of you view it from the perspective of how it’s meant to be interpreted.
Not to say that critiques or different POVs are completely irrelevant—the contrary actually. They reveal the deeper complexities abt the work or provide a fun reinterpretation for the sake of it. But ultimately, I didn’t think I’d be giving a genuine analysis if I analyzed Levi with this heuristic.
tldr; not everything needs to be disco elysium, unfortunately

What's the gripe with the Templin people? I tried watching their videos once but they seemed very boring so I don't really know anything about their content
(Full disclosure, it's been years since I watched any of their videos, so while I remember generally what they've said that pissed me off, I don't remember the specifics and I don't care to. Unlike say, Craptain America Steve "I am Drone Strikes In Human Form" Rogers, the Templin Institute does not live rent free in my head all the time, they just sublet some space every few months for a day or two) Well, My gripe is that their opinions on worldbuilding in sci-fi are very, very wrong. There's a lot of little things I didn't like or didn't agree with, like opposing the idea of a single government governing an entire world even if that world is part of (or even the capital of) a multistellar state, or saying that monarchies couldn't possibly ever function in the future because western democracies are so much more effective and efficient (*points to the United States* Not to say Monarchies are *good*, but monarchies are as capable of being effective at governing as democracies, because a monarchy is just a dictatorship where you call the dictator King, and we have a lot of functioning, for varying values of the word, dictatorships right now on earth), to saying that an Empire shouldn't call itself an Empire because it's too 'on the nose' or something to that effect, etc
But the thing that was the 'fuck this shit I'm out' for ever watching their videos again and soured me anytime anyone else links their videos and calls them "great worldbuilding advice" (seeing someone do that on a forum thread is what prompted my bitchpost) was one about sci-fi ships, and basically asserting all sorts of nonsense about what kinds of ships did and did not work/make sense (Dreadnoughts apparently are Bad™ and no serious writer should have them), ignoring that
1.) In most sci-fi settings that serve as settings for stories, games, TTRPGs, etc the classes/kinds of ships are there for narrative reasons first (in general, Templin's narrative-neutral approach to worldbuilding, while in theory sound, creates a lot of problems very quickly)
2.) The author is responsible for the space physics/etc of the universe. It's not hard to construct a universe where Dreadnoughts are the only viable form of warship for some reason. Or one where carriers rule the day, or one where carriers are actually a terrible, terrible idea, etc, etc, etc. Templin has this tendency, in their worldbuilding advice videos, to ignore that writers are gods of their own universes. Or so is my impression. They also speak authoritatively without basis, but that's kind of a me hangup, because ultimately it should be obvious it's all their opinion (I just think their opinions are bad) So I don't like them, get annoyed when I see people rec their worldbuilding stuff and can't believe I'm the only person who thinks their worldbuilding 'advice' is barely above useless half the time.
As for why right-wing neckbeard basement dwelling pissbaby shitheel fuckface morons hate them, it's that Templin Institute has "Gone Woke". The primary source of complaint for them seems to be that the Templin Institute asserted, accurately (if pointlessly, IMO) that Female Space Marines are entirely possible, if Games Workshop (the people who own Warhammer 40k) really wanted them, they could just change the lore. Under the cut for more details and context on that hot mess.
For those of you not familiar with this bit of interminable nonsense, in the Wargame (and associated setting that contains books, video games, TTRPGs and I believe at least one board game) Warhammer 40k, there exists a class of unit called a "Space Marine" which are genetically enhanced supersoldiers that are the flagship characters of the 40k universe. They get the most models made for them, the most narrative focus, etc.
Space Marines are, generally, made by taking candidates who pass a pretty grueling battery of tests, and grafting all sorts of extra organs into them that, if they survive, turns them into transhuman superpeople that are like ten feet tall, super strong/fast/etc and then gives them a pretty long lifespan. Space Marines are very, very. very, very skilled warriors and often deploy in 100-man companies that are often capable of turning the tide of planetary wars all on their own.
In-universe, the reason that Space Marines are all dudes isn't that the Imperium doesn't think women can't fight (the Imperium, as a whole, just cares if you hate the alien, the mutant and the heretic and can hold a lasgun when they conscript you into the Imperial Guard, and yes I'm oversimplifying) but that the process to create the Space Marines was made by the God-Emperor thousands of years ago using his own genes (or something like that) so they didn't work on women at the time - and the big E is on life support and has been for most of those thousands of years, and science and technology don't really advance much in-universe because it's a crapsack world setting (40k's fandom invented the word Grimdark, for reference), so even if someone was inclined to try and improve on the God Emperor's work, it would be hard to.
All of this is of course, arbitrary, because Games Workshop writes the lore. They've retconned things before, and these days their official position on 'canon' is that all published materials are from nominally in-universe sources and thus potentially biased or inaccurate. And they have had a guy named Cawl create an improved 'Primaris Space Marine' after thousands of years of work (though to be fair, in some quarters, the Primaris Space Marines went over like a lead balloon), so Templin Institute's point was that Games Workshop could say 'actually female space marines are possible because no one realized it before' or 'someone invented a way to make them possible' which is true.
This comment pissed off a bunch of idiots, most of whom are the sort of crypto/quasi/open (it does vary) fascists (or their technically apolitical buddies that give them cover) that give the rest of 40k's player base a bad name. And so they whined that Templin Institute 'went woke'.
Personally, I agree with Templin on this, but I also think this is a stupid argument and people who really want female space marines should just stop engaging with 40k and find a better game/setting to be into, because the Warhammer 40k game and setting is a horrible, terrible, noxious steaming pile of incoherent trash that should have been left on the ash heap of gaming decades ago to be replaced by better stuff.
And I say this as someone who has bought several Warhammer 40k video games, would like to buy at least one more, played some 40k-set TTRPGs a few times, reads some of the 40k novels and spends more time than she'd like to admit (that is, any) reading the 40k Lexicanum (a fan wiki). I will fully concede that the 40k game/setting is a compelling pile of trash, but it still is a pile of trash.

I know a lot of you are fresh onto the scene of arguing with Zionists but a lot of you need to realize that certain arguments go by the same playbook anyone else who benefits from living in an oppressive society and is too much of a pissbaby to try and help goes by. They're using arguments we've known are bs for some time now.
When, in talking about residential "schools", do you give airtime to someone who brings up Aztec sacrifices? Never, because Aztec sacrifices have nothing to do with Northern Native children who were in a "school" that commited cultural genocide against them. When, in talking about the modern impacts of slavery and segregation or police brutality, do you let someone talk about the supposed "innate" violence of Black people? Never, because this supposed "innate" violence doesn't mean random Black people deserve to die or otherwise be treated horribly. It's a non argument. That doesn't mean the Aztec sacrifices didnt happen, it doesn't mean a Black person can't ever be violent, but they're giving into the idea that a "properly oppressed person" and their group must be perpetually and retroactively innocent little doves and that only then their oppression is "truly" unwarranted.
Additionally, people who bring these arguments up are often trying to brush off the intense awkwardness and embarrassing feelings they have about a society that benefits them and subjugates others by half-heartedly bringing up that anyone has the potential to be violent, and while not technically incorrect that anyone can be violent, they still cherrypick and generalize an entire group of people for their arguments so that they can ignore the current violence meant to benefit them as an Individual and subjugate the people they're oppressing currently, in this moment.
Likewise, a zionist doesn't actually care deeply if the Arab conquests were violent or, in some absurd cases, even about Hamas' current violence. They do however enjoy that there's an easy way to paint the people who's land their stealing as "just so so violent!" so they can ignore Israeli military violence or otherwise justify it. We know that Palestinian babies don't deserve to suffocate and die because of the arab conquests or because of hamas. We know grown men in Gaza and their wives don't deserve to die because of the arab conquests or Hamas. Does this mean that oppressed people are all innocent angels who can do no wrong? Obviously not, but often a person who brings up their society's oppressed group(s) violence doesn't actually care about it if it exists, they just like that they can deflect from their system's own. If they can find a way to prove the oppressed are "just as bad" and ignore the contemporary system of violence the people are living under, currently, in this moment, then to them the benefiting group is free to just throw their hands up at humanity as a whole rather than try and acknowledge anything at all that might force them to look in a mirror.

Honestly the reason I could make the nosk zote theory even plausible was with the argument of how he only looks like a vessel if you look at him from far away
No other vessel has a mouth, or that pinkish color, or even asymmetrical horns that we can see. if u look in the baby pit, none of the vessels seem to have horns that aren’t symmetrical, save for ones with clear cracks/breaks in them from falling
And going off the idea that he’s Cheap Offbrand Vessel, that just led my brain into going “oh, he’s something pretending to be a vessel, and just sucks ass at looking like one.” n since we were provided with a canonical creachure that takes the form of other bugs (including a vessel), I went oh fuck yea. nosk
but a cringe fail nosk. because he’s cringe fail guy
and it’d make SENSE that a nosk would take the form of a vessel to fit in because we see vessels strung up in the nosk den. totally plausible for a nosk to assume creachures outside Deepnest can just Look Like That.  And/or Zote specifically heard about the Hollow Knight somehow and was like omg no way? real knight hero moment and just * becomes *
My brain did not assume he was the same species as Elderbug for the simple reason of different number of legs (Elderbug has four in the official art, Zote has two) and that both are clearly adults yet hardly look alike But also it’s totally possible that Elderbug is many molts ahead of Zote, and/or my favorite personal theory of Elderbug trans (in most IRL bug species, the females are much larger than the males; so Elderbug ftm trans? true)
As for more nosk!zote shit I just held the precepts in my hands and went “no way? epic” shdgKH. Especially that one about Not Trusting Reflections(tm). Seemed a lil sus if u ask me And those two separate precepts about darkness. Because Deepnest dark (true) And and that precept about Choosing Your Own Fate (choosing to not be a nosk HUH? HM? Totally true and valid. Trust me)
And also me getting a little confused over Zote’s routing and things he says . Because we meet him in Greenpath first, then see him in Dirtmouth. Wherein I first interpreted how he was speaking to imply he’d never been to Dirtmouth before, which would be a bit strange if he had to pass through there to get into Hallownest Then I realize that the implication of that only exists if u squint and stretch it but yknow whatever He DOES have some sus dreamnail dialogue here though . When he says Dirtmouth reminds him of home in that it’s “dreary” and “ghastly” - considering this is ... really the only dialogue in-game that possibly suggests he’s not from Hallownest, but it could be totally hinting at the very much ghastly Deepnest, then, yknow, I’m j,
And also also Zote having a stupid amount of defense for how much of a shit fighter he is. This man tanky he takes a lot of hits in the Colosseum and doesn’t even die at the end! So (and hear me out) what if secretly nosk, and thus has secretly stronger shell, like nosk has, because nosk also has a lot of health (way more than Zote does, but Zote also still a weak pissbaby, and that nosk is infected, which we know boosts strength, so, yknow, what i mean,)
But in the end I think zote’s a nosk just because I think it’s funny (and because I spent a year writing a fic about it) (that does things to ur brain)
and that one thing that team cherry said about anything that’s not explicitly denied in-game could be canon,

buckle up because ao3 is run by little no-good pissbabies with the moral codes of a broken, wet pretzel in the bottom of your shoe, and Tumblr mobile doesn’t have a read-more yet. This is going to be a long one, folks, and I will not be taking questions, thank you.
Quick disclosure: No, I am not interested in your “critiques” or “discussion” or any way you wanna dress up disagreeing with me. I am not here to debate with ever or not sexism exists to you. I scarcely care about SPOP anymore, and I’m sure the actual harassment I received for calling out sexism is part of that. My faith in humanity was severely diminished to see first-hand how little people care about women.
This does not constitute harassment, by the way, and if you think it does— go report every call-out post on this website, and every block-list, regardless of if you personally think it exists for a good reason, like calling out racism or transphobia, or a TERF block list. This is no different from those, regardless of if you don’t agree with me. All it happens to be is very telling about what you do and don’t care about— and can you guess where women fall on that scale? Hint: Not the first one.

Introduction
Hello, my name is Mimmy, and I will hopefully be teaching you something about sexism, history and the importance of She-Ra: Princess of Power.
The 2018 Reboot, released in November of that year, was applauded for its representation— but in a lot of ways, it fell flat on its face. I am of course talking about the internalized misogyny present in the show, particularly in its treatment of one character: Castaspella.
To understand why the treatment of Castaspella by the 2018 Reboot and the fandom that followed is so wrong, we have to start at the beginning: the 80s.
The Importance of She-Ra in the 80s
The beginning of the 80s signalled a loss for feminism in television— the Wonder Woman live action show, which had run from 1975 to 1979. After its relatively short run, the re-runs came to a stop somewhere around 1982-1983.
Without the re-runs of Wonder Woman, young girls were left with other options for television— but none quite as groundbreaking as Wonder Woman.
“It left us with Gem and The Holograms. It left us with shows about girls that had no power— had no strength. The shows about girls that we wanted to be, they took away, and they told us to be pretty and they told us to sing and they told us to wear fancy clothes and do our make-up, but not to change the world. We changed it anyway.”
-80s Mother
Though even Wonder Woman has her own feminist problems today with her outfit designed for the male gaze, something which even She-Ra is not immune to, as a character she was a huge step for female leads in television today,
In 1981, the cartoon The Smurfs aired on television, in which the only female character was Smurfette— and naturally, as the only girl, she’s in a dress and high heels, and one of the few characters with hair. (Because bald women are unheard of.)
Ignoring the incestous undertones present in all Smurfs properties, the constant fawning over Smurfette by her ninety-nine “brothers” leads us to the Smurfette Principle.
The aptly named Smurfette Principle, which I’m certain I don’t need to explain the origin of— is a phenomenon in which there’s one woman in a group of men and, more often than not, exist solely for the male characters.
This was present even in He-Man, which originally aired 1983, with the character of Teela— who almost wasn’t included at all, due to the fear that having even a single female character might dissuade young boys from enjoying He-Man.
Mattel bent on this upon realizing they could re-use the model to make more female characters to target at young girls instead— greed is greed.
She-Ra: Princess of Power aired 1985, a collaboration between Filmation and Mattel, unlike its predecessor. She-Ra was groundbreaking— rather than just one powerful female character, all of the powerful characters were women. In fact, the damsel in distress was a man!
Despite all the limitations it had— limited character models, a tight budget— She-Ra came and went, and broke barriers. Little girls could feel empowered again!
According to my mother, who grew up around that time, little girls would play She-Ra on the playground and even interrupt the boy’s games in which they’d have She-Ra come in and beat everyone up. Adorable!
But the history of She-Ra isn’t that simple— the woman who originally came up with She-Ra, Janice Varney-Hamil, was blamed for the plummet in He-Man sales in 1987.
“There was one theory from Dave Capper and he says, “You know, the reason He-Man sales aren’t doing well is because of you.” I go, “Me?” He said “Yes, you you came up with She-Ra. That basically demasculized He-Man and now boys don’t want him anymore.”
-Janice Varney-Hamil, The Toys That Made Us (Season 1, Episode 3 “He-Man”)
A survey indicated that little boys who had played with He-Man for a couple of years no longer felt empowered if their sisters did. He-Man may have been ready to teach morals— at least the Filmation series had been— but the moral of sharing something like that with their sisters was not easily teachable.
The treatment of He-Man and She-Ra was vastly different— especially evident in He-Man and the Masters of The Universe having 37 more episodes than She-Ra: Princess of Power.
He-Man also had multiple different reboots and/or additional series, including The New Adventures of He-Man released in late 1989 and the 2002 animated remake, which had 30% of the amount of episodes as the original, due to He-Man’s fall from grace.
Castaspella and Micah in the 1985 Filmation series: The Siblings That Weren’t
Castaspella’s story in the original Filmation cartoon has backstory— a Sorceress who once trained under Norwyn with her rival, Light Spinner.
When Hordak arrived on Etheria, he offered Light Spinner a shortcut to power and she took it. In exchange, she’d betray Norwyn, Castaspella and the Council of Kings.
However, Castaspella herself did not fall for this— and worked hard for her power, eventually becoming the Queen of Mystacor. (Although she was temporarily dethroned in her debut episode.)
As the most powerful Sorceress on Etheria, she was a valuable member of the Rebellion and a great friend to She-Ra. But 2018 reboot Castaspella… is not quite the same.
Despite 1985 Castaspella being a prominent character in both the toy line and the show, appearing in a total of ten episodes and with nine speaking roles, 2018 Castaspella is instead sidelined for King Micah, who only appeared in one episode.
Not only is she sidelined in favour of him, but he’s granted all her power and even her storylines. But what he doesn’t keep is the moral— a big part of Castaspella’s character was that there was no shortcut to power and you had to work for it. Micah, as a natural prodigy who rarely messed up, is in many ways an opposite.
There were many work arounds to this that would’ve kept Castaspella more relevant in this girl-power cartoon, but the writers of She-Ra (2018) seemingly didn’t notice the problematic aspects of this.
Understandably, not everyone does. But at the end of the day, it is a woman being completely sidelined for a man. For a show that’s supposed to be empowering to women, it really depowered that one, which makes the 1985 version more progressive in that way.
This is similar to Chickification and/or Men Act, Women Are.
To add insult to injury, 1985 Castaspella was completely unrelated to both King Micah and Glimmer. Micah’s character model was even reused in a later episode, further illustrating how unimportant he was in comparison.
I’ve had to establish this before, but no one is saying men can’t be powerful— far from it! He-Man had three different TV series and a live action movie to prove it. However, in She-Ra, the men aren’t supposed to be stronger than the women.
Castaspella could easily remain the most powerful Sorceress on all of Etheria, further contributing to Glimmer feeling like the weakest member of her family, and her idolizations of Micah could be based less in reality and more in her memory, while still keeping Micah perfectly as he is. He could even have the storyline with Light Spinner— there is plenty of workarounds.
But the fact of the matter is that they didn’t bother to workaround it so Castaspella could still play a part, and instead reduced her to the weakest named Sorceress and an overbearing Aunt, bringing me into our next point.
The Spinster Problem
There is nothing wrong with being an unmarried older woman— but everyone will try to convince you otherwise. Welcome to the Spinster problem.
From the most powerful sorceress on Etheria and the Queen of Mystacor, Castaspella is downgraded to Glimmer’s eccentric aunt, and a prolonged joke about hating the in-laws.
Although it’s clear Castaspella does not actually hate her sister-in-law, this is played for laughs and never given any real depth.
As the eccentric aunt, Castaspella is immediate there to hug her niece and express her joy that Glimmer is visiting. When Glimmer coughs to get her attention, Castaspella comments that she’s changed her hair and isn’t wearing the sweater she knitted.
Rather than admitting it was an impromptu visit or that she doesn’t like the sweater, Glimmer comes up with a thin excuse with more holes in it than the plot.
From this introduction, we’re supposed to believe Castaspella is ‘a little much’ and needs to be ‘handled’, but a simple comparison to Angella proves she really isn’t— the narrative framing wants us to believe that the protagonists (Glimmer) are always in the right.
The fact of the matter is, both Angella and Bow’s dads do similar things to Castaspella, such as commenting on Glimmer’s hair (Angella) or telling embarrassing stories about how they thought they made Bow/Glimmer up. But they’re not framed the same way, by the narrative or the fandom.
I’d be concerned if I spent all that time knitting a gift and I never saw them wearing it— what if they didn’t like it? Would I just keep making gifts until they admitted they didn’t, pouring love into these items they’d shove in the back of the closet, or until finally I decided enough was enough and stopped?
Bow’s dads also display a variety of emotions throughout their debut episode, but aren’t framed as emotional or unable to defend themselves. (But more on that later!)
What IS In-Character?
I’ve talked about how Castaspella isn’t overtly emotional like she’s often portrayed in fan works, now let’s talk about what she is.
Now, here’s what I’ve gathered— family is important to her, but so is Mystacor. The two aren’t mutually exclusive— she can care about her family without devoting her entire life to them, and she can care about her own success.
She is successful— and implied to be incredibly busy. Glimmer sounds pretty proud to say her Aunt is Head Sorceress, implying it is a well-respected and well-earned title.
A theme we see with her is she doesn’t feel good enough— subtextually, it’s implied when she’s talking about Angella.
“She’s an angelic being, after all, I'm just a… common Sorceress.”
This implies that despite being Head Sorceress, she doesn’t view herself as good enough for Angella, and is projecting that feeling onto Angella.
Considering she brings up the fact she writes to Angella and Angella doesn’t respond solidifies that Castaspella has nothing against Angella— she’s hurt that Angella seems to have something against her, and she feels the reason may be that she’s not good enough.
Angella later brings up in the first episode of the second season that she was present in Battle of Bright Moon, which Castaspella seems more exasperated than anything by.
(This is also never explained, but given the fact most of the other princesses barely arrived, I’d argue the nightmare weather is plenty of a factor, especially for a flying kingdom that might be especially susceptible to storms.)
As I discussed in the post above, she’s actively looking out for Angella during the interrogation, further proving she is more than capable of pushing her hurt feelings aside.
(I’d also argue that Castaspella getting angry may not be what we thought— she raises her hands as if to cast a spell, just a little closer, which could indicate a great number of things. Silencing spell, perhaps?)
The same dialogue also solidifies that Castaspella does not believe in the Rebellion and the Princess Alliance— any more. We see from the mural that she was in the first Alliance, and it’s likely she lost hope when it fell apart. Unlike Angella and the new generation, she doesn’t regain the hope— and no one tries to reignite it for her.
She has made a choice for the betterment of her kingdom to focus on protecting Mystacor— and there is nothing inherently wrong with that. At least she didn’t have a kid and leave her kingdom like everyone else seemed to.
Women Are(n’t) Caretakers
A major part of the fandom seems to have decided Castaspella is a bad person because she only appeared in one episode of Season 4. I strongly disagree.
Let’s talk her one appearance in Season 4: In which Castaspella takes on the responsibility of planning Glimmer’s coronation— need I mention that Bright Moon is implied to be one of, if not the, biggest kingdom in Etheria?
Wedding planning is stressful enough, but a coronation for the leader of the Rebellion is likely even more so.
Castaspella throughout the episode is shown to be trying to ease Glimmer into decision making, even when it’s something she doesn’t care about— prepping her to be a ruler, even giving Glimmer an unimpressed look when she responds with a TON of uncertainty.
Though not in so many words, she says this herself.
“Isn’t this fun? Soon you will have to make many decisions. Just like your mo….”
-Castaspella, Season 4, Episode 1: The Coronation
There’s a point where Castaspella is nearly in tears during this, and it’s one of two moments in this episode where you can see her grieving Angella.
“You’re right— it’s an awful idea! I should just fire myself!”
Castaspella, Season 4, Episode 1: The Coronation
The combined stress of planning the Coronation, her grief and her overall feelings that she isn’t good enough come tumbling down for a second in a moment of vulnerability, which is quickly interrupted by Mermista dumping the entire ocean on her and Glimmer.
And as she does with any chance to hide her feelings— she masks. But this isn’t enough for viewers— planning a coronation is all in good fun, and because she doesn’t ditch her other responsibilities, she’s seen as a bad person.
There is a huge societal expectation for women to put family over all else, a thing few apply to men. Did you know 84% of family caregivers are women? Some even have to choose it over other responsibilities or further pursuits for their future, such as education or friendship.
This is a huge stress on women, and women caregivers are often burnt-out or have more stress than male counterparts might.
A part of this is women may be labelled selfish— by peers or even themselves— if they do not fulfill these “duties”, and that’s present in the way the fandom interacts with these female characters.
For example, Uncle Iroh from Avatar is a morally grey man who put his 16-year-old nephew on the throne of a nation, a nephew which had been banished for three years and likely didn’t have the experience, knowledge or education expected of him to lead the Fire Nation.
Instead of helping his nephew out, he opens a tea shop in Ba Sing Se— far, far away from the Fire Nation, when he could just as easily open one nearby. Any time sensitive problems would be difficult, since even a letter could take days to arrive. Despite this, he’s applauded and Castaspella scorned.
Meanwhile, on the other end, Castaspella is shown to be just a call away— when Shadow Weaver arrives in Bright Moon and promptly falls unconscious, Castaspella is there before she wakes, ready to imprison and interrogate her with magic.
Despite it being implied numerous times that Castaspella is incredibly busy, she still drops everything to come to Bright Moon in the middle of the night.
But because she doesn’t ditch her other responsibilities— the kingdom she’s in charge of which happens to double as a magic school— she’s seen as selfish, as having abandoned her niece. Think critically— if you were in a position like that, and you knew your niece had a support system, would you drop everything to babysit her?
I highly doubt Queen Angella abandoned her kingdom and young daughter when Castaspella lost her brother— why should there be a difference? Why is Castaspella’s grief of possibly her only family member (other than Glimmer) not as important?
Cycle of Sexism, Or: The T!ppenfunkaport Problem
Fanfiction is a wonderful way to express yourself, interact in fandom, practice writing or simply just to have fun. But fanfiction is still fiction, and any fiction can and should be judged for any problematic aspects.
But unlike racism, transphobia or, occasionally, homophobia and ableism, calling out misogyny and sexism isn’t going to have the same effect.
To put it simply: People don’t like women, and they often don’t even believe in internalized misogyny, meaning they believe women are incapable of being misogynistic. Because women have more rights nowadays, people seem to forget microaggressions still have a negative effect.
Let me give you some quick background: I’ve been reading fanfiction for probably eight years now, and writing it for almost as long. A lot of the audience for fanfictions are young, impressionable children who may internalize these things.
And don’t give me the ‘media doesn’t actually have an effect’, because the thousands of people who view Africa as one giant impoverished desert prove otherwise.
Starting with popular Glimbow shipper and self-proclaimed Bow enthusiast— T!ppenfunkaport, a well over 18 woman who should probably know better.
The problems start with her fic “SPOP Friendship Shorts”, originally written for the Palentines event (which is also run by T!ppenFunkaport.)
The prompt is for Day 4: Relatives, and begins with Angella and Castaspella having a heated discussion about Glimmer at Princess Prom, and is promptly described as shrill, a word with a very sexist history. I mean very.
“Of course you’d do this, you ALWAYS do this, Angella! Block me out and deliberately exclude me like Glimmer isn’t my family too! My ONLY niece when you KNOW I have no children of my own to fuss over and you won’t even let me be a part of her life!”
Casta was ranting, shrill and fast, and the all too familiar sound made Angella’s eye twitch. She never felt all of her decades more than at these monthly teas they kept up more out of habit than actual enjoyment. Micah’s sister had always been exhausting. But this was different than the fit about the flowers at Micah’s memorial or her objections to the new regulations on magical plants and powders. She could hear her sister-in-law’s teacup clatter in its saucer as her hands shook.”
-SPOP Friendship Shorts, Chapter 3: That Boy
Castaspella is portrayed as overly emotional, while Angella is able to keep her emotions in check. (Note that Angella’s emotions, rather being portrayed as hysterical, are more frustration-related.)
I’ve established that Castaspella actually represses her emotions in-canon, shutting them away at the first chance she gets, and I understand this detail isn’t something everyone catches— I have my doubts the writers even planned it themselves. But even if that is how canon portrayed her, perpetuating something offensive in your writing makes you complicit.
But what finally gets Angella and Castaspella bonding in this fic is talking about a boy. That’s right. These two powerful women can’t find peace without the help of a man— meaning this fic doesn’t pass the Bechdel test, the bare minimum for female representation.
But her other fanfiction is where I find truly crosses a line— a fanfiction so overtly out-of-character it’s character bashing at best. And as someone who once wrote several Kagome bashing fanfictions, I can say with confidence it hits all the marks.
The problems start in the fifth chapter of ‘Going There’, simply titled ‘Bailed’.
The problems arise quickly when Shadow Weaver implies that Castaspella isn’t competent, and the writer is clearly on her side, judging by the way the narrative frames it.
“How dare you!” Castaspella lept up from where she was sitting on the small chest that was the only seat in the cramped room. At least they hadn’t tried to fit the entire alliance in here this time. Just what King Micah considered his top generals: Juliet, Castaspella, Adora, Bow and… Shadow Weaver for some reason. Though considering how hostile everyone in the room was towards her, the old sorceress might have invited herself. “I am the Head Sorceress of Mystacor, I have run—“
Shadow Weaver laughed, a sound without any real mirth. Next to him, Adora tensed. “You know as well as I that role is merely for show. The teachers and the guild are the ones that really run things up on Mystacor. The so-called head sorcerers are little more than figureheads, a token title given to placate those with an overinflated sense of their own importance. Do you honestly think as weak a sorceress as you would ever hold the title if your brother were not who he was? If Angella had not been—“
So a strong start: Implying Castaspella, a character she admits to not liking, is incompetent and devaluing her position, to the point that she suggests Castaspella only got her position because of Micah.
I shouldn’t need to explain the problematic aspects of implying a woman in power is only there because of a man, because that happens in real life all too much— even my mother faces sexism-based scrutiny for being the Post Master, as any woman in a position of power likely will in her lifetime.
Once Micah, the big strong man, defends Castaspella in a calm and collected manner (because women are delicate), we have this gem.
“There! You see!” Castaspella sat back down triumphantly. There was only one seat in here and she’d had it for hours. Would it kill her to let someone else sit down for a little bit? Adora was leaning against a tent pole and looked about ready to fall over from sheer exhaustion. “Micah trusts me! He has faith in my abilities as a sorceress and a leader so you should—“
Castaspella in the show is never portrayed to be particularly selfish, but as we discussed in the Women Are Caretakers section, she’s seen as selfish solely because she refused to become a full-time caretaker. It’s part of T!ppenFunkaport’s internalized misogyny— she considers Castaspella a bad person for not becoming a caretaker, something that wouldn’t be applied if she was a man.
“Surely you couldn’t have expected me to abandon my duties as… I stayed as long as… She was being difficult, Glimmer, so moody and rude and…” Castaspella was getting shrill. “I would never abandon my niece!”
Making a point to describe her voice as shrill again, which I’ve already touched on the inherent sexism of, T!ppenfunkaport then goes to imply Micah does not truly, fully trust his sister, and instead trusts some random children he just met.
Meanwhile, in the very next chapter, Bow’s dads are portrayed as worried, loving parents and kind to his friends.
What an interesting difference, considering the main difference in how they act and how Castaspella acts is based on the fact Glimmer doesn’t really make time for her family like they make for her— Angella tries to resolve arguments and Glimmer runs off for the Rebellion, Castaspella is often too busy to visit Bright Moon and Glimmer doesn’t visit Mystacor to see her, rather than take advantage of the privileges she has as Head Sorceress’ Niece.
Meanwhile Bow has a scheduled reminder for when it’s time for him to visit his parents, despite the fact he practically puts on a disguise when he’s with them.
Conclusion
Honestly, I don’t know how to conclude this. I doubt this will change anyone’s minds— if it were that easy, sexism would be gone by now. Women who speak out will always be called attention-seekers, crazy bitches, and the like. Nowadays, they’ll even be labelled a “TERF” or “Karen”.
It’s disappointing to see how few people care about how their actions affect people in the big picture, even if it’s just one small thing that normalizes misogynistic stereotypes, it’ll always count. We internalize these things in ways we don’t realize, which is why so many people still think dandelions are weeds. (When they are, in fact, no more so than a daisy.)
Until next time,
Mimdecisive

I got hit by a cello this morning by the same person who’s bow has been hitting my thigh for the past month and did I mention I got hit in the forehead just 40 minutes before? and just got forcibly shoved right now by some guy and also like 7 different people just cut the line in front of me but I’m more salty at that the “correct” way to write dialogue that begins is to add a comma even if it’s a question which is fucking stupid and I hate it.
“Is this the correct way to write this,” They asked, then frowned. “Oh. That doesn’t look right.”
“Is this the correct way to write this?” They asked. “No, it’s not how you write that but it does look much better.”
question marks exist to signal that the sentence is a QUESTION. Why would it not appear in a sentence that clearly a question??? Why English? Why? Who’s gonna be a pissbaby at me ending a sentence with a question mark instead of a comma?
-soap
I....holy shit. I would have exploded in anger at that point

i haven't felt good in so long, save for maybe 26 seconds in the last week or so. one second for each geminid meteor i could spot from my window, lying in back on my bed, neck bent at a strange angle, eyes wide open and strained for 45 minutes before it started to hurt. i spent the next 3 days with a nauseating migraine and i still have an embarrassingly severe crick in my neck but god, those meteors were the only real thing that made me feel good in ages, and what a fucking poetic metaphor, that the things that made me feel good only existed in my life for a millisecond before burning into oblivion.
i befriended a white kitten at a marina at 2 am during the perseids one summer. she had a limp and a bent tail and i think she'd been hit by a car. she sat with me the whole time. she meowed and rubbed against my leg. i'm sure she was just hoping i had food, but i was delighted by her company all the same. to be Chosen by a kitten is like being anointed by a deity. my dad took pictures and promised he'd email them to me. he didn't email them to me. i dont ask him anymore because every time i do, all i get is a huffing, sighing, eye-rolling pissbaby tantrum. he's the most important person in the world, didn't you know? every fucking thing he does is so critical that he can't POSSIBLY spare a moment in time to click and drag a file into an email and hit send.
i just want to see the fucking white kitten.

Ollie here again. does really matter whether i point that out so whatever. u said you weren't rude and then called me a pissbaby so, And the "saying super homophobic shit" I'm aro/ace myself nor do i believe legit anything of what i said that was homophobic, u will not believe me. i do not care.
You diagnosis a "brief" examination
I myself am diagnosed and that was the way i was diagnosed myself, i explained another version which I myself was also diagnosed under, as you can see we cannot relate with how we were diagnosed, so this is proving my point that how you have gotten diagnosed is not a universal thing so you can now see why i was skeptical, because even with telehealth if you don't have insurance, it still costs money. which this also depends on where you live, because in America they do not care about free healthcare. and from the places that i understand that do give free healthcare like Canada if your a birthed citizen , and like Australia or smth, How you got diagnosed is not universal, it depends where you live and what hospital you go to ect.
hypocrisy: the examination.
You clearly weren't understanding the meaning of what this word is so i will put it here along with the example i previously stated. from the Merriam-Webster "a person who acts in contradiction to his or her stated beliefs or feelings" you say you support Trans ppl but if they don't meet your criteria of what YOU think a trans person should be you, exclude them. your reply was also not related to the point i was attempting to make, "It's not hypocrisy to provide a safe space for a group and exclude people" You should have worded that better with the point you were attempting to make, Ill use a similar example to one a friend told me "i joined a adhd club and they kicked me out because i wasn't "adhd enough" Its what you are doing and its hypocrisy, you are telling people "yep i support trans people but oh if you don't have a diagnosis something that sometimes cost quite a bit of money, you aren't valid and you aren't transgender because i say so", not a exact quote but you should get the idea.
I was incorrect: a analysis.
I will say i was incorrect about rad meds and trans meds. "If you would actually interact with trans meds instead of foaming at the mouth and screaming in all caps whenever you see one you would know that."
Sorry that i don't wanna associate with someone who's harming the transgender community and states that the multiple years of my transition aren't real because i wasn't diagnosed, and that I've basically only been a actual trans man as of recent because i got my diagnosis within the last 6 months. so all of that experience i've had was just me being a tomboy..
Do you hear how that sounds crazy, that everything i learned in all those years, I've labeled myself as trans is now just me being a tomboy woman who was just struggling with their mental health and how their body looked ect. ect. that's saying that my entire transition was just me pretending to be a man. that's so heartbreaking knowing that some trans people in my own community didn't see me as a man because i didn't have a diagnosis. but maybe you got a diagnosis before you started transitioning so you might not even know how that feels, but what do i know right?
You arent a poor child: a small examination
Yes i did look into this, now if you mean the term like poor as in lack of dollars maybe, that could be the cause and I'm not going to discriminate against that.
You could have meant poor as in "woe of me" type of way.
But you aren't a child. your in college , as u stated on your Youtube video, which is public, and i will ask you to please ask non trans meds about the information in your videos because me and my inclusionist friends definitely saw false things in your "lgbt 101" episodes, which you say are based of your opinion and how there are others that exist but you never actually go over those opinions and let a watcher think about which one they believe themselves.
And harassment in America means: " It is commonly understood as behavior that demeans, humiliates, and intimidates a person,"
I haven't attempted to lower you statue in the trans med community and i do not care to do so.
I did attempt to humble you, but the information that i believed was to be correct was false and you instead humbled me so, its whatever.
and i will say i took the screenshots incase you did delete anything or attempt to spread a false narrative, but i did not have any mean to actually use the photos against you in any way. as i said in this message which you have most likely seen "its possible they are sending screenshots of not the whole story so i have the whole thing", saying "gathering stuff on the owner" was false and i do not care enough about you, which u could say "oh you do, you've sent me 2 asks and talked to me on discord" being blind sighted by rage is a interesting thing. i cared about making a impact, because i was angry.
You told me i needed to get help, some people can not afford to get a therapist, i don't want a therapist that i wont feel comfortable with and have been taking my time searching for one that will fit me. I'm glad that you are able to get the therapy and help you need for little to nothing but i able unable to do so.
-ollie,
I'm still annoyed but I'm not angry so.
hopefully this is enough for you.
> you said you weren't rude and then called me a pissbaby
Because i wasn't rude in the chat. I wasn't rude to you, until you were rude to me. See how that works?
> I'm aro/ace myself, nor do i believe the things i said, not that you'd know that though
I know you were trolling. However you thought the best thing to do was harass a server that is open and accepting of asexuals and run by several asexuals was to pretend like you avidly oppose asexuals, and make homophobic claims you do not believe in because you wanted to hurt people. And we're the group that's harmful? Right.
> the way i got diagnosed is different from the way you gotten diagnosed, so you can see it's not a universal thing, blah blah blah.
I live in america. In a red state. I have zero insurance. I have not spent nor will I spend a single cent and yet i am being diagnosed in two appointments, one in person and one over the phone. I am not using telehealth. I also have an entire server full of diagnosed people. Some have been diagnosed for no additional costs to the physical medical services they attended to in the ER, physician visits, PBH, ect. So don't give me that. It is not difficult to get a diagnosis if you attempt to do so.
> your example of why you aren't a hipocrite isn't true because i had a better one, and adhd club that kicks people out with adhd for not being ADHD enough.
That isn't what this is. Ths isn't a "trans enough." Debate. This is a "trans at all" debate. Only trans people.
> your belief that you must be diagnosed
I never said you must be diagnosed not has any common transmed ever said that. It's a strictly radmed thing. We believe you must have reportable or "diagnosable" dysphoria. Which includes persistent euphoria in most cases because euphoria is caused by dysphoria.
> sorry i don't want to spend time with people who told me my years of transition aren't real because i wasn't diagnosed
I can't confirm this isn't true but my other mods have seen your account and know that you are likely a minor so imma take that with a grain of salt. I highly doubt transmeds have been telling you your transition isn't real because you weren't diagnosed. A, because transmeds are quiet irl. B, because there is only a very small portion who believe you need to carry a diagnosis to be trans. C because if you're willing to cry and scream to get your way you're willing to lie too. I used to be like you, I've played this game.
> you aren't a poor child
I never said i was? That was a comparison. You must be either dim or completely unable to read context clues to come to the conclusion that i made that claim-
> Which you stated in your YouTube video
Lemme get this straight, you are so pissed, so mentally unstable that not only did you troll my server, send super long messages to the mods, and send THREE 3 (•••) super long asks, but you also stalked my YouTube channel and got pissy over there? Jesus man. Get your issues under control.
> Your LGBT 101 series was wrong and you should have used inclusionist points blah blah blah
I used to be an inclusionist. I know that stuff is incorrect. Not only this, but if anyone wants to know the inclusionist set of beliefs i have an breakdown of that on my Discourse Academy series that breaks inclusionist and exclusionist beliefs down. I stated in the beginning that my beliefs are not everyone's. If they want to see other people's beliefs they can literally go to every other lgbt education channel. Which are almost all explicitly inclusionist.
> behavior that demeans, humiliates, or intimidates a person
• demeans
- name calling, personal attacks, homophobia, transphobia, acephobia
• humiliates
- name calling, personal attacks against members
• intimidates
- horrible statements that all of us associate with actual conservatives who have harmed us in the past. Which you would not do to other LGBT people if you had experienced because you would know what that feels like.
>I do not care... ...I cared because I was making an impact and was angry
You did not make an impact, you looked like a screaming monkey to everyone else involved.
You clearly did care because you send THREE (3) {•••} Novel long asks, which i know because you referenced the radmed one, you looked through my entire YouTube channel, send novel long messages to all of the mods for muting you for saying fucked shit, and you went out of your way to troll because you can't get your shit in order.
You are being a hypocrite by making this statement as you directly contradict yourself in literally the next sentence.
> you told me to get some help but I can't do that before I can't afford it
If you can't afford therapy than maybe you should think before doing something that clearly shows you need therapy. You can always check into an ER and they can send you to a mental hospital. Normally medicaid covers those.
This is not a brag. This is you displaying your complete lack of self control, and obsessive behavior, as well as a lack of anger management. You need to see a therapist. I promise you there are places in your area that do it for free or very cheap. If you don't want to go to a therapist you don't like, have you considered you don't like the therapist because they're breaking down your bad behavior?
Ps. I know you're angry because no calm or rational person sends an anonymous ask this long
Everyone else... This little guy is such a riot huh? It's hilarious honestly, I'm gonna see if he left any mean comments on my YouTube videos.
