It happened during a knighting ceremony of all places.
Sir Chester finally lasted longer than a minute in combat with the King, it was time to bring him into the fold.
It was all going rather smoothly. That is, until a witch appeared seemingly out of thin air, and lingered only long enough to aim a razor sharp dagger at the King’s heart.
It may have only been seconds. But that was as long as Merlin’s instincts ever took to kick in.
Unfortunately, Merlin did not, for the first time in his life, consider the repercussions of using magic before actually doing it. Maybe because it had been a while since Arthur was in the up-close-and-personal kind of danger, maybe because Merlin was caught off guard, the one time he sets his weight back on his heels to just take a breath, exist, and this happens.
The witches body slammed against the wall behind the king and fell to the ground, lifeless.
Just as the ‘thud’ sounded across the throne room, so did the sound of Excalibur leaving it’s sheath.
Merlin saw it coming, because he never took his eyes off Arthur.
Arthur was approaching slowly, with his sword pointed as far as it would go away from his body. An attachment to his arm, another limb, as it always had been. Merlin braced for what was coming.
What he didn’t expect was Leon of all people, alongside Lancelot, stepping between Merlin and the King of Camelot.
The sorcerer was stunned.
So, it seemed, was the King.
He narrowed his eyes at two of his most trusted knights, sword never wavering in it’s place, pointed directly at Merlin, still.
“You would choose Merlin over your sovereign?” Frustration was present in his tone but it gave no indication of what Arthur wanted the answer to be.
So, instead, Leon told the King the truth.
“No, sire. We would choose Merlin because you are our sovereign.” Arthur was taken more aback at that. “If we allowed any harm to befall Merlin, even by your own hand, you would never forgive us, Arthur.”
At once, Arthur knew Leon was right.
The fight left his body and the King’s sword, maybe for the first time in his life, fell from his weak grasp. Hitting the stone floor with a deafening clang.
“Everyone out.” Arthur finally said to the room at large. “Everyone but Leon and Lancelot, out.”
Arthur caught Merlin’s eye, his manservant already knew that he was expected to stay, as well. It would likely be his official trial.
Maybe Leon and Merlin both knew that Arthur would not harm his friend, but he was still the King and often felt he had to uphold the law regardless.
The rest of the knights that were in attendance for the ceremony began shuffling out of the throne room. Once again, Arthur’s voice rang out, halting them momentarily.
“If I hear a single word about what happened here today, trust that I will find its source.”
None of them trusted themselves enough to speak, they simply nodded and bowed before finally taking their leave.
When the door closed behind them, Arthur visibly deflated even further. The King slipping out of his shoulders, it was just Arthur.
Merlin braced himself for the bite. The other shoe to drop.
Finally his voice came, quiet and carefully balanced.
“I assume Lancelot knew.”
“Only because he was close enough to see it for himself, I never told him.” Merlin answered, trying to make Arthur understand just how badly Merlin had always wanted him to know.
“So then, why…”
Merlin took a chance and stepped forward. Toward Arthur, away from the sanctuary of Leon and Lancelot’s protection.
“Think of all that’s happened. Even from that first day. Vengeful witches and beasts of all natures. Love spells and bandits and horrible, corrupt rulers. When would’ve been a good time to explain that not all of us are trying to kill you? That I would never-“ Merlin cut himself off, he was going off in the wrong direction.
“When Morgana ran with Morgause, I knew that I may never be able to tell you. The betrayal would’ve been too much. When the lady returned, sought our help, I held out hope that maybe you could open your heart to magic, and you did. I’ve never been more proud.” A very long pause. No one moves a muscle. “Then, your father fell ill. I knew, almost immediately that it was Morgause taking her revenge. For the death of her parents but also for ‘stealing’ the one thing she truly cared about in all this world: her sister. There was nothing I could do. Everything I’ve kept you apart from, every time death has ever grazed just past you, that, losing your father, was the one fate I wanted to save you from, more than any of it.” Merlin was staring directly into Arthur’s unflinching blue eyes, the way they always have. Saying everything without saying anything. But Merlin decided, before he dies, he would like to say it.
The newly outed sorcerer fell to his knees, nearly putting his forehead to the floor at his King’s feet.
“I am so sorry I could not save him, sire.” It was nearly a whisper but in the silence, it was blaring. “I tried.” He choked out. “I tried everything I knew to do and nothing worked. I’m so sorry.”
It was quiet for a long time. Merlin didn’t dare to look up. Keeping his blurred gaze on Arthur’s boots. Thinking of how he may never get to wash them again.
Suddenly, movement was heard behind him.
Merlin’s first assumption was that the knights were finally coming to their dutiful senses and hauling him to the dungeons. But the sound of rustling armor didn’t get any closer. In fact, it got further away.
When Merlin finally tore his gaze away, he found both knights leaving. Not sparing a glance backward.
Had Arthur given them permission to leave? The manservant never heard him say a word.
“Merlin. Please, stand up.”
Arthur never said please. Not if he wasn’t dying.
Merlin stood without thinking, meeting those startling eyes, once more.
The King whispered, as if reassuring a child,
“It is not…your fault.”
Merlin almost fell again, out of sheer relief, this time. Relief and heartache and grieving for the years of his life he’d spent hiding from the one person in the world he never wanted to hide from.
“If you truly did everything you could, then it was…it was his time, Merlin.” Merlin could almost laugh at Arthur Pendragon explaining death to him. “Even if you had not tried, I would understand. Not only was my father murdering your people for decades but he probably would’ve put you on the pyre himself, had you succeeded in saving him.” Merlin saw the way shame drained the color from Arthur’s face and hollowed his eyes. He would carry this the rest of his life. “Merlin, I am sorry. For all he did, and every part I have ever played in it. And I apologize for-“ His eyes dropped away, to the ground, to the doors, Merlin finally realized he was trying not to cry. “I apologize for drawing my sword. Even if circumstances were different, and you were not my manservant, you did nothing to threaten me. It was-“
“Arthur.” Merlin cut him off, feeling his feet begin to solidify under him again. “For someone who grew up here, with the lessons you were taught, it was a completely reasonable instinct.”
“All this time you’ve been…” he trailed off, seemingly replaying memories behind his glazing eyes. “You’ve been protecting me.”
“I am trying my best. You don’t make it easy.”
A smile appeared on Arthur’s face for the first time since Merlin’s eyes turned gold. And Merlin wanted to cry. But he would not. Not in front of his King.

PART 1 of 2
A smutty fan fiction about Rosabella Beauty and Daring Charming from Ever After High
Rosabellas POV-
Rosabella and Daring had been going steady for the past 4 months after the whole epic winter with Crystal. They had worked things out and come to terms that they were destined for one an other as per the tale ‘Beauty and the beast’.
But something was bothering Rosabella now as she sat in the library with a pile of books surrounding her, watching with confusion as Daring gave her a dazzling smile and waved at her before sprinting out the library. Now that she thought about it, he had been doing this every month since they started dating.
And it was always at the most random times aswell, last month they were snuggling in her bed and she was tucked gently under his muscular arm with her head on his chest half asleep when she felt him stiffen before he jerked up and made some excuse about being late somewhere then running of.
She was left dazed and confused still partially half asleep as she stared at her door. The next morning in the castleteria she confronted him about it but he managed to get out of the subject by claiming he was late for bookball practice. That day she vowed to figure out what he was doing the next time this happened.
So here she was now a month later in the same situation as last time. Sighing she counted in her head to 10 before she gathered her books and made her way out the library, peeking her head out she saw Daring turn the corner to somewhere. She scrunched her eyebrows, taking a step forward before bouncing brown hair with pink streaks came in her view.
Briar Beauty her cousin waved a hand in front of her “Hey Rosabella!” She stumbled back for second her face forming into an agitated smile, Briar always had the worst timing. “Hi Briar umm what’s up.” Her cousin smiled flicking her hair “do you want to go to the hocus cafe tomorrow with me and Ashlynn.” Rosabella glanced behind her cousins shoulder coursing internally.
“Uh I’ll have to see if I um can.” Briar rolled her eyes before crossing her arms “come on Rosabella! What else do you have to do? Read?” Annoyance now bubbled within Rosabella, but she took a deep breath just as her dad had told her when her anger got out of control, and turned to Briar “look I’ll let you know tomorrow in princessology, but right now it’s not really a good time.”
Briar only looked half pleased but she let her cousin go without an other word. Rosabella sighed in relief and darted in the direction Daring had went in, turning the same corner he did she looked from left to right to the 2 different paths he could’ve gone. One led to bookball stadium the other to the boy’s dorms, Rosabella figured that she should try the dorms first as it was a more likely option for him than the bookball stadium especially since it was so late at night.
Walking up the spiraling stairs, she ran her hand over the smooth stone before coming upon the commen room. There she found Dexter Charming and Hunter Hunstman playing some sort of card game “oh hey Rosabella. What are you doing here.” She glanced at Dexter with a smile “oh I’m looking for your brother. Did he come this way?”
Dexter nodded before he pointed to the hall with all the dorms “yeah he went to his room. He was in a real hurry, is everything ok?” Rosabella shrugged as she sat on the arm rest of the chair Hunter was sitting on “I have no idea. He’s been doing this for the past 4 months.” Hunter offered her some solace in maybe he was just tired today from heroics class he had but that did little to ease her mind.
“Anyway I’m going to go check on him. See you guys.” Rosabella got up without an other word waving at the 2 behind her as she made her way down the hall. As she was walking she took a second to admire the glistening full moon that shine above, casting a delicate shadow. She wondered how she hadn’t noticed the tranquility of night before.
That tranquility soon ended when a growl sounded from… Darings dorm. Rosabella perked up quickening her pace as she reached for the handle of the door, realizing it was locked she rattled it in some foolish attempt to get it to open. “Daring? Is everything alright? I’m worried about you.” There was only silence on the other end before she heard a loud thud. Thinking of the worst she slammed her hand and body on the door yelping at the pain in her shoulder.
“Daring please open up!” A growl was heard on the other side before the door started to creak open slowly. Rosabella let out a huff of relief as she dashed inside, around her she found Darings bed a whole mess with things scattered all over the floor and a lamp broken on the floor. She tried to focus in the dark to see where Daring was with little success.
“Daring?” She tentivley whispered out, her arms warping around her self as goosebumps arose on her skin. Suddenly strong, muscular arms wrapped around her waist, Rosabella gasped and jolted back only to collide with her destineds chest. She tried to get out of his grip but he only pulled her flush against him, so close that she could feel the heat omitting from his body.
“Daring what-.” He cut her of with a soft growl and nip at her ear “Rosa, Rosa, my Rosabella.” He kept chanting her name over and over again his hands caressing and moving up and down her body. She felt her breath get heavier as he continued to press possessive kisses down the column of her smooth neck, his teeth once in a while grazing her skin.
“What- what are you doing.” She tried to keep her voice as steady as possible but it was useless with his onslaught of kisses and sucking on her neck. Daring didn’t answer her instead kissing up her neck until he came upon a particularly sensitive spot on Rosabellas neck that had her gasping out loud before she bit her lip hard enough to draw blood.
He kept sucking on that spot making Rosabella press up against him even more than previously, she let out periodic moans that made Darings head swirl with pleasure “my Rosabella I’ve been waiting for this day.” He growled out the last half of the sentence making vibrations course through Rosabellas body.
She wanted to question him but it seemed as if her mind was completely blank, like all thoughts were gone. Surprisingly she didn’t mind, she enjoyed the feeling of a clear head and pleasure coursing through her. Daring was also enjoying the way that she would rub up against him unknowingly, the way that her eyes fluttered closed and the way that she let out the sweetest moans.
Daring suddenly stopped kissing her neck, putting distance between them as he gazed at her like a hungry beast. Rosabella despite herself whined at the loss of contact and turned to finally look at him, she felt her body become warm at the sight of his shirtless chest, tousled hair and very evident tent in his pants.
“Tell me my Rosa, do you want me as much I’m starving for you.” He growled the words at her as he crept closer. Rosabella stared into his lilac eyes taking careful steps back, Daring rose an eyebrow at her actions before something in him seemed to snap. He pounced at her faster than she could comprehend.
He wrapped an arm around her waist, the other grabbing a fistful of her hair in his hand as he pushed her softly onto the bed. She gasped at the sudden action her arms planting on his warm chest to stabilize herself, she lay with her elbows against the bed her head supported by Darings hand. “These past months… I’ve been craving you so badly.”
Rosabella didn’t know why he was acting like this, she thought maybe it was a beast thing but her dad never acted like that. Or at least not like that in front of her.
Daring placed a knee beside her waist as he leaned down, caging her in his arms, pressing sloppy open mouthed kisses on her jaw, neck ,collarbone anywhere he could find. Rosabella closed her eyes letting the pleasure of the moment sink in, she could always question him tomorrow.
She heard Daring let out an annoyed growl as he pulled at her dress “you are wearing to much.” Rosabella giggled and whispered in his ear in a breathy voice “then take it of…” his grip got impossibly tight on her waist and sheets he was fisting. He let out a grunt as he looked into her eyes intently his gaze hungry.
Without an other thought Daring extended a hand that had turned into a claw just so he could rip her dress of. Rosabella gasped at the action looking at him in shock before he pounced on her again and started to kiss down her neck to the top of her breasts that were confined within their lacy confines.
“Daring… please.” He chuckled at her words his tongue swirling near her breast. He cupped one breast in his hand over her bra, playing and massaging her breast in such a way that had Rosabellas head falling back.
With his own patience wearing thin he moved her back of the bed, her legs straddling his leg on the bed. He placed brushing kisses on her shoulder and neck his hand traveling to the clasp of her bra, after fumbling for a second he managed to unhook the bra before throwing it somewhere in the room.
Rosabella sighed in relief at her freed breasts while Daring pushed her back down his hungry eyes racking over her full chest “mine all mine.” He growled at her as he attacked her breast with his tongue without warning. Rosabella let out a yelp as her hand intertwine in his hair pulling his face closer.
“Daring don’t tease me please.” She huffed in annoyance as he swirled his tongue anywhere but the place she most wanted, when he continued to tease Rosabella pulled his head up the slightest and said in fake wonder “maybe I’ll go to Dexter or Hunter or Alistair or Sparrow to pleasure me if you can’t.”
Knowing from her dad that possessiveness was a common thing in beasts she decided to use to her advantage. Much as she thought as soon as she uttered those words Daring growled so loudly she feared that someone would hear.
He pushed her into the mattress his hand wrapping around her neck delicately enough that she could breath “mine, mine, my Rosabella. I’ll slay them if they come near you.” Rosabella smirked internally as he finally swirled his tongues around her nipple.
A breathy moan escaped her as he continued his assault. Trailing her arms down his chest she traced over the hard planes of his abs, watching as she groaned at the feeling Rosabella trailed her hand lower looking up at him with doe eyes as she traced her nails at the base of his cock.
Daring jolted with a growl as he pinned her hands above her head and ripped her underwear of “Daring… you- you can’t keep tearing my clothes.” She breathed out distracted by the feeling of his long fingers on the inside of her thighs. He moved down with his hand to her heat his breath fanning over her as she whispered against her thigh “I’ll tear all your clothes if they are in my way.”
She couldn’t be bothered to answer as she felt his tongue caress the point just before her heat, wiggling her hips in anticipation Daring pinned them to the bed ensuring she couldn’t move as stared right into her eyes before he shoved 2 fingers into her wet cunt.
Rosabella screamed in a mix of pleasure and pain as she gripped with one hand the sheets the other with Darings head. He pumped them in and out in a fast, sensual pace reaching depths that she didn’t think existed. Soon his mouth joined his fingers and Rosabella tipped her head back her mouth open in a silent scream.
She kept panting and trying to move her hips even against Darings grasp, the stimulation from both his tongue and mouth overwhelming her. As he kept sucking and licking her cunt Rosabella felt her climax right at the edge, she bit her lip in a attempt to keep her scream out before she came on Darings fingers.
He took his fingers out making sure to apply pressure on her walls before fully pulling them out, as Rosabella lay panting legs numb Daring took the chance to grasp her chin in his clean hand, forcing her to watch as he sucked her cum of his fingers.
She blushed in embarrassment moving her hand to cover her face before he straddled her hips and let him mouth wonder down her body, like a cat to its fur. Wanting to return the favor to Daring, Rosabella trailed her hands down his well defined body from all those years of heroics classes, dragon riding and anything althletic.
He grunted against her neck as she grabbed the base of his cock, she started to slowly move her fingers around the base with a trail of her manicured fingers leaving Daring to act like a panting beast in a rut.
Before she could continue her ministration any further, Daring grabbing her wondering hand to bring it up above her head “don’t you want me to-?” He shook his head at her question, his lustful eyes trailing down her bare body. He licked his lips, his shining teeth peeking out of his lips.
At the sight of his protruding canines Rosabella furrowed her brows in confusion, with yet an other question swirling in her mind before althohgts vanished at the feeling of Darings erection grazing her inner thigh.
She couldn’t help but release a desperate moan at the feeling, her smooth legs hooking around his hips with a sharp shove if her heels on his back, edging him to finally enter her. Darings eyes widened at Rosabellas rather bold action before he gave her a smirk and started an assault on her neck, hoping to distract her from what was coming knowing somewhere in the back of his lust filled mind that this was her first time.
“Finally going to make you completely mine my Rosabella. You’ll never leave my side.” As he growled out the words a new flush of heat swarmed her body, the once again onslaught of kissing and sucking making her mind swim in euphoria.
Seeing her distracted state and the endless little moans escapin her mouth, Daring took the chance to push in. Rosabellas eyes widened in surprise, a pained scream leaving her plush red lips, Daring growled at the feeling pushing in more and more until every last inch of him was bottomed out inside her.
With every last restraint from his human mind fighting his beastly instincts, he held still, instead gripping the sheets beside his destineds head. He shivered in restraint as to not to let Rosabella adjust and to just fuck her like he wanted against the mattress.
Rosabella herself gripped his shoulders and burrowed her face in his neck as she started to feel the pleasure behind the pain. After a few moments the pain went away completely an a itch for Daring to just use her as he wanted filled her mind.
Wiggling her hip, she saw from up top her lashes Daring grit his teeth. Finally putting an end to each others edging Rosabella whimpered out “please Daring, please fuck me hard.” Whatever remnants of self control he seemed to have shattered at those sweetly whispered words.
With a growl Daring drive forward, his hips clashing against Rosabellas. He growled out in intense pleasure his mind clouding with everything that has to do with his destined princess, from her scent, to her voice, to her eyes, to the feel of her skin against his. Everything was about her.
At his continues vicious thrusts, Rosabella could barely make any other sound other than a moan that would rip out her throat. “Harder!” Daring paused for a second at her words, again his human and beast side fighting for dominance. In the end tho his beast won and he grabbed Rosabellas thigh, bringing it up above her head before slamming forward.
All the air seemed to be knocked out Rosabellas chest as she lurched back with the sheer force of his thrusts. She gripped the back of his neck, her nails no doubt leaving crescent like shapes on his nape. Daring didn’t seem to mind as he only reveled in the pain.
With his erratic, almost non humane speed of thrusts Rosabella felt like she was on the tip of her euphoria. The feeling of his hard cock slamming in and out of her tight heat bringing each other pleasure they both didn’t think existed.
As Daring continued his endless thrusts of undying lust, he felt Rosabellas walls spasm and contract around him signaling her near climax. He surged forward, feeling his canines grow in his mouth as a carnal need to bite, mark, anything fogged his mind.
And with a powerful force Daring thrusted forward, his teeth meeting the delicate surface of Rosabellas neck as he bit down hard. Rosabella screamed out in surprise and pleasure as Daring rocked against her his teeth sinking deeper into her creamy skin. With the feeling of his relentless thrusting and now bite Rosabella felt herself tio over that euphoric edge.
Her mouth opened in a silent scream her eyes shut and her nails gripping onto Daring for dear life. But Daring wasn’t done yet as seconds later he retracted his teeth from her neck, his tongue licking the wound like a dog to its pups.
With the new found slickness of Rosabellas release, Daring continued his endless lustful thrusts much to the dismay of Rosabellas over stimulated walls. As her walls clamped down on Darings cock one final time he felt a release and pleasure he couldn’t have even dreamed about, not in any of his wet dreams about his Rosabella.
As the base of his cock met with the skin of her heat, he felt a sensation he’d never felt before. The base of his cock slowly swelling up inside Rosabella, surprising both him and her. But Daring couldn’t really find it in him to care at this very moment, not when he climaxed the hardest he ever could’ve.
Rosabellas back collapsed against the soft blanket of the bed, her legs trembling after the amazing sex she had experienced. Trying to separate herself from Daring she felt his cock tug at her entrance, like a knot on a too small opening. In a slight panic Rosabella tugged again harder making Daring growl above her, “keep doing that my sweetheart and we’ll be going for a second round very soon.”
Rosabellas cheeks flushed an impossible red, and at the moment she was glad that it was only the moon that illuminated the room. Daring slowly lowered himself so he was laying on her, she huffed out in slight discomfort but wrapped her arms around him nonetheless. “So are we… stuck?”
Daring shrugged his head lifting from her breast that he used as a pillow, to test her question he tried to pull out of her heat only to be tugged back by the knot that seemed to have formed in his cock. He partially growled at the shock wave of pleasure that coursed through his body, Rosabella biting her lip to keep the whimper in.
Just at that moment of trying to get unstuck from each other (much to Darings dismay) the door to the dorm room creaked open. Rosabella held her breath tightly, her chest tightening in panic as the person stepped into the room and opened the lights.
“Oh my-! Uh I- I’m sorry-I’ll just- I mean- umm-!” Hopper stammered out his eyes traveling from Rosabella to Daring quickly as he scrambled back knocking into a plant in the process. As he reached for the handle he suddenly transformed into his frog form, much to the horror of Rosabella who was still stuck with Daring.
As Hopper in frog form started to spew out some sex poetry, Darings eyes blazed with a possessiveness Rosabella had never seen. He growled at Hopper so loudly that the pictures on the walls shook with the force, at the sudden noise Hopper stopped his rant and hopped back in surprise.
Daring confined to snarl and growl at Hopper as the frog as quickly as possible hopped out the room. Once the door was shut again Daring stopped growling and snarling, his nose finding the crook of Rosabellas neck where his bite mark is. He took a lungful of her scent the beast in his instincts yelling at him to claim her again.
Rosabella was much to horrified to remotely care at what Daring was doing, she felt her eyes burn with tears of embarrassment that threatened to fall down her flushed cheeks. She sniffled whisking on anything that by some miracle that Hopper hit his head or got sudden memory loss so she wouldn’t have to live with the embarrassment.
Daring noticing this wrapped her tightly in his embrace, shuffling slightly so that they were under the covers of his bed. He also turned them to the side so the were facing each other more comfortably, wiping a tear that that escaped Rosabellas eyes he placed soft loving kisses on her cheeks, holding her tightly.
“Don’t worry my sweetheart. I’ll tear him apart if he utters a single word.” That did little to ease Rosabella, so she focused on what had been bothering for the past 4 months “we need to talk Daring. About what has been going on for the past 4 months.”

Hope you liked this part 2 will be up soon although it’s more of an explanation of things from Darings POV

That My Days Have Been A Dream
Day 30
DAY 30 Title: Blow Life To Isn't: Blow Death To Was -E. E. Cummings Prompt: "Please Don't Touch Me"
Johnny’s dream came several nights later. He was in his bunk at his new station. Here he didn't sprawl out comfortably. Here he didn't throw an arm across his face.
Here he slept flat on his back, his body so rigid and tense that those who happened to see him wondered how he got any rest at all.
But, they didn't really know Gage that well, so maybe he did just fine. Here they kept themselves pretty much to themselves. So no one noticed his life seeping away.
Johnny no longer vibrated with energy. He no longer ranted or schemed. He no longer chased women. He no longer smiled beyond a forced version of professional reassurance that he shared only with patients.
Unable to bear the memory of living there with Roy, he eventually gave up his apartment, and simply lived in his Rover. Roy was his home. What did it matter where he couldn't sleep?
He usually only ate when he was on duty, and then very little.
He'd shorn his hair because he was unable to live without the feeling of Roy's warm, strong hands tangling themselves in it.
His outstanding talent and ability was slowly slipping into mediocrity.
His desire and love of learning fell by the wayside.
He wondered sometimes how much longer he'd have to go on. How much more penance he would have to pay before he could rest.
But he had the cold comfort of having done the right thing.
He lay rigid in his bunk that night, trying not to think and remember, like he did every other night. Unlike every other night he was exhausted and cold from a long, grueling water rescue, and quickly fell asleep.
Everything was orange. The night sky. The shadows. The dancing lights from the rigs.
The fire.
Johnny wearily trudged from place to place as he swept the never ending warehouse for victims.
He wondered why he even cared.
But then he heard a familiar voice cry out, calling for help. He sprinted towards it, crying out his beloved's name.
"Roy!"
"Johnny! Please help me!"
Johnny rounded a corner to find Roy trying to fend off a towering figure.
"No… No… Please don't touch me!" He cried, scrambling backwards on heels and elbows.
"ROY!" Johnny screamed.
Death and Roy turned in his direction.
"JOH-!"
Death's skeletal hand closed around Roy's throat, cutting off his call.
Cutting off his life.
"NOOO!"
Death, forever grinning in triumph, opened its horrible jaws to howl with laughter, but the shrieking of the klaxons bellowed out.
Johnny threw himself from sleep and into his bunkers before sprinting with the rest of his crew to their rigs.
The waterfront warehouse was huge and pretty well involved. Johnny and his partner were sent in search of a cleaning crew the nightwatch was certain had been in the south east corner.
Their captain called in a second alarm response as they trotted dutifully into the inferno.
They found no trace of the crew, and their captain ordered them out. They were nearing the door when the ceiling gave way. Johnny shoved his partner clear, but he himself was caught in the collapse.
"Johnny!" His partner called, as he tried to move the debris. "Can you hear me?"
"Ye-yeah I can hear ya." Johnny panted.
He was in tremendous pain, and knew his injuries were fatal. Plus, pinned as he was, and given the instability of the structure and weight of the debris around him, it would take time and manpower to get him out.
Time and manpower the beast wasn't going to allow.
"Johnny, I need to get help!"
"Ye- yeah. I-I've lost the HT. Y-you'll have to l-leave me."
"I'll be right back!"
No you won't. Johnny thought. No captain worth his salt will let you back in here.
He was relieved that the pain would be over soon.
He closed his eyes, and allowed the memories of Roy to flow over him one last time.
Roy happened to be near the Battalion Chief, Johnny's captain and Captain Stanley when Johnny’s partner ran up.
"Sir!" He cried, out of breath. "Gage is trapped! He's pinned and I couldn't get him out! We'll need porta power and…"
"Damn it!" The chief bellowed. "We can't send that kind of help in there now! The whole place is about to go!"
Roy saw Captain Stanley's protest die on his lips as he took in the scene before him. A tear slipped free as he nodded and turned away.
Roy was on his feet.
"You can't just leave him there to die!" He raged.
"I'm sorry Roy."
But Roy wasn't there to hear.
He was running for all his worth towards Johnny.
His Johnny.

Hi! Can you please write a HSMTMTS fic with Ricky having more of a cold/allergies issue than stomach? Maybe after he and Nini break up in season 2 so he feels awkward around the drama crew, since most of them were her friends first, and is uncomfortable asking for help? Thank you!
Here you are! Ricky has a cold but is passing it off as allergies. Ashlyn comes over to take care of him and he learns to trust his friends and accept help when he needs it! You can read it below or on any of the links I've provided. Hope you enjoy!
WATTPAD | AO3
“Is Ricky okay?” Ashlyn asked the group around her, glancing over at the curly haired boy as he blew his nose backstage. Big Red looked at her with confusion, Gina furrowing a brow, and Carlos shook his head.
“I think he’s been crying? He’s been sniffling and his nose is red. I guess he’s not taking the breakup well…” she mentioned with a frown.
“That’s right. I guess I didn’t notice” Gina said coyly, diverting her attention to the boy. Now, Ricky chugged a water bottle, getting ready for rehearsal to start.
All of the students gathered into a line waiting for Miss Jenn to give them the first direction of the afternoon.
“Kids! We’re only a couple of weeks away from opening night and with Spring Break, we’re going to miss a lot of rehearsal time. Let’s start where we left off yesterday with the Beast transformation!” she said looking straight at Ashlyn and Ricky.
The two walked into the center with their costumes on, Ricky put the Beast head over his curls and lay on the ground where Ashlyn kneeled and recited their lines.
As he croaked imitating the Beast dying, he couldn’t help but sniffle, trying his best to push down any coughs trying to escape his lungs.
“Cut!” Miss Jenn shouted mid-way through the transformation. “Ricky, go get a tissue and take some cold medicine when you get home. The Beast is transforming! I want passion! It shouldn’t sound like he’s crying.”
“Sorry Miss Jenn. I think it’s just my allergies” he lied. A cold has been creeping up on him all week. As much as he tried to deny it and nip it in the bud with orange juice and Emergen-C, it wasn’t getting better fast enough for his liking.
“I understand. Hopefully with Spring Break, you can rest before we dive into tech week” she mentioned. Ricky walked back to center stage ready to give it another shot.
“Again!”  Miss Jenn called motioning at center stage as Ashlyn and Ricky ran the scene again.
As they gathered their belongings, Ashlyn grabbed Ricky by the arm. “Hey, I just want you to know that I’m here if you need anything.”
“Oh, thanks Ash. I’m going to Chicago for Spring Break to visit my mom. But I have your number" he said nervously laughing as he zipped up his bag.
“Great. You can always call or text me if you need to talk. How are you doing?” she said hanging her costume back on the hanger.
“I’ve been better, honestly” he said sniffling and finally letting out a cough that has been building up in his chest all afternoon.
“The pollen” he said nervously laughing again, putting his backpack on has back and pulling out his phone to see if his Dad was outside.
Dad
Be there in 5
“Ricky, it’s okay to be emotional. Breakups are tough” she said looking up at him like a puppy dog. “Oh. Right. Yeah, it’s a lot. Thanks, Ash” he said, butterflies fluttering in his stomach from nerves but happiness that someone finally asked him how he was doing.
It seemed like everyone in his friend group besides Big Red was avoiding the breakup subject at all. It’s not like he was going to cry and burst out the waterworks at the slight mention of Nini or breakups in general. He was cool, calm, and collected. There were no more tears left to cry.
Ashlyn gave him a side hug and squeezed him. “See you after Spring Break. Have fun in Chicago!” she said after pulling away.
Ricky nodded and walked out the back doors of East High to his father’s car. When he got into the passenger seat and clicked his seatbelt, a train of coughs erupted. Mike looked at him puzzled with concern. “Need to stop at the drug store before we go home?” he asked his son.
Ricky shook his head. “I don’t think so. I just need to sleep it off” he said propping his backpack up by the window as a pillow.
“You keep saying that but you sound worse” Mr. Bowen said as he backed out of the parking lot and turned onto the main road.
“Dad, it’s just a cold” he said coughing again.
“Whatever you said, kid” Mike said turning up the radio a bit.
There were two days remaining before he was leaving for Chicago and Ricky Bowen felt like he submerged his head underwater in the coldest ocean in the world. His teeth were chattering despite the mountain of blankets on top of him.
Taking a hand out from under his blanket pile, he pulled out his phone and typed his symptoms into the Google search bar.
Chills, cough, sneezing, stuffed nose, headache
Results for Cold vs Flu, Do you have a Cold or is it COVID 19?, and Common Cold popped up on his screen. Ricky blinked his eyes at the results and yawned. His cold has just gotten worse it seemed.
He sat in bed for a moment pondering his next move. His glassy eyes lit up and he started to compose a text.
Ricky: I have a bad cold. Are you busy?
He hit send and waited, closing his eyes with his head resting on his cold pillow until he heard his phone ding.
Ashlyn: Nope! Do you need anything?
Ricky: I think I have some cold medicine left but my dad went to work and I feel super sick
Ashlyn: Be right over :)
Ricky: Thank you
After many attempts, Ricky finally got out of bed even if his aching body revolted against him. He grabbed a thick blanket, a box of tissues, his phone and Franklin and headed down to the living room to wait for Ashlyn.
He placed everything on the couch and walked over to the small kitchen to pour the rest of the cold medicine remaining in the bottle into a small measuring cup and drank it. He scrunched his face at the disgusting flavor as chills went through his body. “Uggghhh” he groaned as he walked over to the couch covering his body with the thick blanket.
Forcing himself to keep his eyes open, he turned the TV on low volume. A rerun of a Modern Family episode played as he waited for a knock at the door.
The episode was about to end when the inevitable knock finally came. Ricky sighed in relief and slowly got up from the couch, putting on his slippers to make his feet warm.
The red haired, bubbly freckled face girl smiled big holding a large paper bag in her hand. “Hey, I brought a few things” she said following Ricky into the house.
“Thanks for coming, Ash. I would usually call Nini but I’m giving her space. Sorry if this is weird” he said his voice hoarse, flailing his hands in the air and taking fast due to nerves. He hated to ask anyone for help but as things in his life were changing at a rapid pace, he had to start somewhere.
“Anytime, Ricky. It’s not weird. We’re all friends! You can always call me for anything. Seriously” she said smiling softly as she put the paper bag on the Bowen’s small wooden table.
“Th’ks,” he said in a nasally tone, as he got back into his blanket cave and blew his nose. “It definitely sounds like you have a cold” she mentioned laughing softly.
Ricky looked up at her and blinked. “I brought some soup Gina and I made, and I have some Gatorade and extra cold medicine. Sound good?” she asked from the kitchen.
“Mhm” he muttered in between a yawn. “I just took some cold medicine but that was the last of the bottle. I think I’ll just go back to sleep” he pulled the pillow close to his face and curled w
“Great! Sleep is honestly the best way to kick a cold. I’ll put the soup in the fridge for now” she said shutting the refrigerator door. Then, she walked over to Ricky lying on the couch with his eyes closed breathing through his mouth before taking a seat on the empty chair beside him.
“You just rest, and I’ll be here if you need anything” Ashlyn whispered pulling out her phone to silently scroll through Instagram.
Throughout the day, Ashlyn played games on her phone, read a book they were assigned for English class, and heated up the soup she and Gina had made that morning as Ricky slept his cold away.
When Ricky woke next, he faintly smelled the aroma of chicken and vegetable soup and smiled despite the pounding in his head. He looked up from under his blanket at Ashlyn holding a now empty bowl of soup.
“Hey, feeling any better?” she asked, hope gleaming in her eyes. “A little. My head is killing me” he said rubbing his temples and noticing the warmth of his forehead.
Ashlyn set down the bowl and walked over to feel Ricky’s toasty forehead. “You’re a little warm. You might have a fever. Let’s open that bottle of medicine” she said smiling.
Just then, the front doorknob turned and jiggled as Mr. Bowen emerged from the outside. “Oh, hey guys. Want to tell me what’s going on here?”
 “Ugh, I fell asleep. I forgot to text you” Ricky said now remembering his most important task. The congestion must’ve clogged his brain.
“Hello, Mr. Bowen. Ricky actually texted me this morning since he wasn’t feeling well, and I came right over! I was just taking care of him until you came home. He didn’t want to be alone” she explained smiling big at the man.
Mr. Bowen returned the smile and slumped his shoulders. “Ahh, gotcha. Thanks, Ashlyn. That’s very nice of you. I can take it from here!” he said taking the cold medicine from her hands and proceeding to pour it.
Ashlyn nodded and grabbed her purse from the chair she was sitting in. “Bye Ricky. I hope you feel better. You can always reach out to me for anything. Don’t forget it” she said and left the Bowen’s house as Mr. Bowen delivered the second dose of cold medicine to his son.
Today, Ricky learned to appreciate Ashlyn’s friendship and was starting to feel better cold-wise and about letting people in and asking for help.

Draw your swords, pt. 6
Tumblr media
Summary: Losing someone can make you realize what was already there and the Darkling is about to find that out the hard way.
Warnings: angst, violence, swearing, bit of fluff
Part one // Part two // Part three // Part four // Part five
=================================
Five days have passed and the Darkling had never stopped looking for his wife. His men never saw him rest, sleep was simply never on his agenda. He barely ate at all, merely giving time for the rest of them to gather their strength.
He was restless, constantly questioning how this could have happened. No matter how he looked at it, the Darkling felt guilt consuming him. Without his rage, he worried the guilt would have paralyzed him. Had he not went on a pointless hunt for something that’s likely a tale, she would have been right by his side, antagonizing him.
It’s been hundreds of years since he felt this way, as if his heartstrings are being pulled by someone other than himself. In this search for Y/N, he realized she is consuming. After all, she might have been right – a part of him may actually care for her. He cursed that part of himself over and over again as result.
They’ve tracked her toward Fjerdan borders. Every now and then, they would find bodies on the road, their throat cut or stabbed right through the heart. Sometimes, he found them alive still. He never refrained from calling on his shadows, trying to draw useful information to close in on their whereabouts.
Y/N never saw him use his shadows before. He couldn’t help but wonder if she’d disapprove of the means he’s using to find her. After all, she called him a demon on their wedding night. She would never accept him as he is, he had no doubt about that.
Did she want to be found by him?
The first body they found, the Darkling smiled. He didn’t question it was her hands who have taken the man’s life. There was no concrete proof, but he was certain of it. Every body found felt like her own version of breadcrumbs.
Closing his eyes, he exhaled heavily. If she managed to set herself free so many times to leave what was now five dead men behind, he couldn’t help but worry for her safety. What was the price of each crumb she left?
It wasn’t just the exposure to snow he worried about – and he did worry as she got cold too quickly and he was the one to warm her up before. Who’d warm her up now?
The darkness of the forest gave him cause to worry too – she may have tried to hide it, but he knew she was afraid of the dark. He realized it when her breathing turned shallow and fast their first night together just as she extinguished the candlelight. The next night, he left his candle to burn long into the night.
Something stirred inside him, a beast has awakened. Despite the war his heart and mind waged, he wondered if he’s his own worst enemy. Maybe it was time to let someone in. For too long, he had been alone in the shadows of his past lives.
Why is he repeating the same mistakes?
How can he be afraid when he married a woman who never blinks in the face of danger?
His heart was ice and stone until she came and now the ice has started to melt. All he’s done is hurt and destroy, but he wanted out of the loneliness that clings to him.
She was right, as hard as it is to admit it. He’s a demon, a devil that walks the earth and he cares. Because of her he hopes he might love again and he can’t let anyone take that from him – hope is the only thing stronger than fear. And when a devil falls in love and discovers hope, it’s the most hauntingly beautiful sight. They should fear him as he will go to the depths of hell to protect her.
While his eyes may have been closed, his heart jumped as a bright flash forced him to open them again.
He was never given a chance to be soft. His hands had to be bloody, to have people fear him. Only when they feared him, they wouldn’t hurt him. Now was the time to show them just why they fear him.
“Where?” He growled out, looking to Ivan and Fedyor who were looking at the sky.
“East”, Fedyor replied hastily, ready to follow Kirigan who set off in said direction without a second thought. He didn’t order anyone to follow, but they did.
Ivan and Fedyor walked two steps behind their general, alert as the flash had awakened them from a deep slumber. They weren’t the only ones shaken, unsure what they’re walking into but none showed fear as their general lead them straight to the source. Their loyalty, their belief in general Kirigan runs deep.
Except for David. He was afraid. He didn’t want to be in that forest and he didn’t want to be in danger, but he trusted Kirigan. Besides, Y/N was nice and Genya seemed to like her. So he came along too.
Kirigan walked in strides, the snow didn’t slow him down. His hands formed fists, his face twisted in anger, but his heart pounded in his chest as he had no inkling what he might find. All he knew was that he had to get there, fast.
As if made of darkness itself, the Darkling emerged on what looked like a battlefield. The trees surrounded a small clearing covered in snow that melted under the spilled blood – still warm as it poured from the dead surrounding her.
She’s on her knees, two Fjerdans chaining her up as if she’s a wild animal.
“You think you’re scary, huh?” She spat at the Fjerdan’s feet – a crimson liquid, Darkling realized. She’s bleeding.
“That’s adorable”, she chuckled maniacally as she held her fierce gaze on the Fjerdan stood before her. They pulled her left hand behind her back and her right hand in front as they tightened the chains that were secured over rope that laid just beneath.
Darkling’s blood boiled. It is fear that brings rage, that hot burning anger that seeks to harm. Once again, he was afraid, not of her but for her.
Four more Fjerdans came from behind the trees, all covered in blood. “Fucking bitch”, one of them kicked her in the ribs and he couldn’t take anymore. He could kill them easily for what they’ve done – he’s killed every one of them he ran into in the past five days without even blinking, regardless if they were involved in her disappearance or not.
“Mister, I’ve seen scary and you don’t have his handsome smile.”
Licking his lips, the Darkling nearly smiles at her remark. There’s no possible way she means anyone else but him. Looking at his Grisha, he found them nearly all in position. They would attack in a minute, swiftly and deadly.
Yet in a moment of carelessness, he missed the Fjerdans realization they’re being watched. Too quickly, more of them appeared. The pitiful human managed to land a few consecutive blows to Darkling’s face before drawing a dagger.
Angry, dark eyes showed the Fjerdan that the Darkling’s brain is in a different mode, that he has switched gears from empathy he had for his wife to cold emotional indifference. Never once has he directed this mode in Y/N’s direction, yet it emerged when he sensed a threat to her life, letting out a part of him that was full on protective.
Grunting, the Darkling’s eyes narrowed at the human who dared to sink the blade into his heart. Despite his immortality, he could still hurt. The pain of a stab wound felt just as it would if here as fragile as the human before him.
But he’s not human at all.
Connecting his hands, the Darkling lifts his head as he summons the darkness that spills from every corner of the forest. “Foolish”, he sneers, “Attacking me in the dark?” The Darkling smirked, walking past the petrified Fjerdan, allowing his shadows to administer a thousand cuts for his transgression.
As he walked toward the middle of the circle, his shadows followed, aiding his Grisha in taking the rest of the Fjerdans so quickly that Y/N gasped.
Looking around in shock, she found Kirigan kneeling beside her.
“You have a knife”, she coughed into her shoulder, “A knife in your chest.”
“I promised”, he gasped for breath as he pulled the knife from his chest. “That I would protect you and I intend to keep the damn promise.”
On the brink of tears, her lips quivered before she laughed. “I thought you’d let them kill me.” Better to laugh than cry, she thought.
Frowning, he shook his head. “That would be too easy”, he waved David over who stood at the tree line, wide eyed. “If anyone’s going to kill you, it should be me.”
Even with tears blurring her vision, she giggled at his stupid remark. She had tried so hard to free herself.
It wasn’t the first time she had been captured by enemies, she knew what to do. But there were so many of them. Each time she freed herself, they would descend upon her. She managed to run, twice, each time they dragged her back kicking and screaming.
Despite his words, Y/N didn’t believe Kirigan would come for her. She had to be her own hero and she tried. In the end, she used everything at her disposal – everything.
Feeling the chains drop, Y/N glances at David, “Thank you.” The ropes were cut as well, but she didn’t move. Truth be told, she wasn’t sure if she could stand on her own and asking for help would wound her. Rubbing her bruised wrists, she reluctantly looked at Kirigan.
“Here”, Kirigan offered his hands. Truth be told, he wanted to carry her, but he knew her pride wouldn’t allow it.
Hissing, she forced herself up despite Kirigan’s offer. “I am perfectly capable of walking on my own.”
He’d have asked her again because she trembled when the wind blew. Her hair was matted with blood, her face red and not from blushing. He could see the damage they’ve done more clearly now as she bent to take a deep breath as if the simple act of breathing hurt her.
Staring at her, he nodded despite his better judgment. Her breathing was ragged, dragging her feet as she walked. She felt his eyes on her, it unnerved her. All she could do is hope her legs don’t give out, but it felt as if they would betray her any moment now.
“Go and make camp ahead”, he ordered his Grisha to speed up as he realized her stubbornness would kill her. Stepping before her, he wrapped an arm around her waist. There would be no asking her for permission this time, he’ll not allow her to deny his help. Hoisting her up in his arm, he held his breath as she cried out in pain.
“I’m sorry”, he whispered, “I didn’t mean to hurt you.”
How could he not bring any healers? How could he have been so stupid?
Groaning, she sent him a stern glare yet found no anger in his. His eyes are like the ocean - they have the potential to destroy, yet when the waves reach the shore, they dissipate, leaving soft designs in the sand as a gentle reminder of its presence.
Leaning into his embrace, Y/N let out a gentle sigh of resignation. She’s been caught in the riptide and for once, she doesn’t want to fight it.
“I really thought I’d die”, she admits reluctantly.
Feeling him stiffen as he held her in his arms, Y/N frowned. Perhaps she shouldn’t have said that, or anything at all. This isn’t what they do, they don’t bare their hearts open.
“And when I faced death”, she continued regardless. Tilting her head to look up at him, she let out a shuddered exhale. A shy smile adorned her lips as their eyes shared a gaze so tender, an outsider would believe them to be in love.
“I thought how silly it is that I don’t know your first name.”
Snorting, Kirigan raised his eyebrows, “Really?”
“Yes”, she breathes out.
Looking at her now, the Darkling couldn’t believe this is his wife. The woman who infuriates him so often seemed so small, so fragile in his arms. Her gaze held remains of the horrors she was cast into and yet he never saw her as earnest before.
“I married you and I don’t even know your name.”
Licking his lips, he stops. Truth be told, no one actually knows his name. His name was long forgotten, a piece of his soul he had left behind in the fold. He promised himself he’d never utter it while he lives. He had promised he would never be that man again.
Unfortunately for him, he seems to be breaking his promises lately.
He promised her he’d protect her and he failed, just as he promised himself he’d never care for her and yet he does.
“Aleksander”, he mutters, still unsure if it’s the right decision. He placed one of his greatest secrets in the hands of a woman who’d see his world burn. He gave her power she never should possess and yet he’s not afraid. No one could make him fear anything after the ordeal he was put through since she decided to tear down his defenses.
Smiling softly, she closed her eyes. Resting her head on his shoulder she felt satisfied. It may be small, but finding out his name felt like a victory. She was born to play this game, it was her destiny. He is her destiny.
Waking up, she found herself wrapped in several blankets inside a tent. Grunting, she struggled to sit up on her own. It seemed to be dark still, but she had a blue light lantern lit inside. She may not know who left it there, but Y/N was thankful. Despite her fear of dark, she found it odd she did not fear Aleksander’s darkness at all.
When his shadows nearly encased her in the clearing, she didn’t fret or worry. She smiled.
As contradictory as it may seem, she wished he was with her now. Her entire body ached and still, she was more bothered by the empty spot beside her. Shaking her head, she bites her lower lip. Would it be so bad if she showed a sliver of vulnerability for a single night? Would making a small concession such as this truly take away her power?
Before she has a chance to change her mind, she’s already outside of her tent. The cold chilled her to the bone, biting every inch of exposed skin. Teeth chattering, she looked to the tent next to hers as it was the only one so close – seemingly intentional.
Trying to open it in the cold seemed impossible as her fingers shook violently. Feeling faint, she wondered why she couldn’t just stay in her own tent for the night. Surely it would have been a better idea than to admit she’s scared to be alone.
A warm liquid trickled down her lip and she nearly laughed at her own idiocy. The darkness and cold and her own injuries have all been fairly good reasons for her to just sleep and try to recover and she still tried to find her husband who showed so much disdain for her in the past.
Just as she was about to give up, a familiar head of hair peaked through.
Shivering, she wipes the liquid from under her nose with the back of her hand. Looking at it, she realizes it’s blood. There’s a slightly dazed look in her eyes, the blood loss suffered over the past days leaving its mark.
Looking up at Kirigan, her lips tremble and she sways slightly as her legs threaten to give out. “I didn’t know who else to go to”, she mumbles meekly before collapsing into Kirigan’s arms.
No…Aleksander’s arms.
Pulling her inside, he wrapped her in his arms as she shivered. Covering her with blankets didn’t seem to help either, but he had confidence it would soon enough.
She closed her eyes, clinging to him and selfishly, he smiled. It brought back memories of the night she climbed atop of him to warm up, he assumed. She didn’t know he was awake then, but she did now. She trusted him enough to seek warmth and as her shivers stopped slowly. That’s when the Darkling realized he would never deny her anything she asked of him.
“Fuck”, he whispers under his breath and her eyes open.
He looked at her in a haunted way, a shadow of a bruise marred his jaw and she reached up to touch it, her chest aching when he nuzzled into her palm. They have never been quite as tender with one another, never so intimate. It felt surprisingly nice.
“Are you hurt anywhere else?” She asked, feeling so emotionally raw. Physical pain and lingering fear of impending death must have weakened her for a short while. Surely, she can allow herself a few moments of humanity?
He caught her wrist and pulled her hand down to press flat over his heart. “Here.”
Drawing a shuddered breath, her eyebrows knitted in worry. That’s where the knife was, she remembered with guilt. He could have died for her. Hating him requires too much energy; one she had little to spare. For the night, he can just be her husband and she will just be his wife. What harm can it do?
“Why did you come for me? Didn’t you say you wouldn’t fight for me?” Her confidence wavered as he sighed, brushing his fingers along her cheek. Not only did he come for her, but he murdered men for her.
Blinking slow, half in a daze as a low-grade fever began to grip her too, she had no more strength to deny how beautiful he is or how disarming his charm is. He may never love her, but she could…she could love him. If she ever fell for him, she knew she’d never be able to unlove him. She wouldn’t want to and that…that felt oddly comforting. For once, she was too tired to listen to her mind that preferred to set the world on fire rather than care for him.
As her eyes closed and her face relaxed, he stayed awake. He didn’t understand it, but he embraced the warm feeling spreading in his chest as she fell asleep.
“I’d burn this world for you.”

Eyes in the darkness
Paring: Yandere!C!Technoblade x BookwormEnchanter!Female!Reader
Type: Romantic (Technoblade is yandere). Trilogy - part one. Next part.
Warnings: swearing, possessivness, yandere, angst, injury, sugestive content, threats, blood, silly jokes created by me.
Summary: Technoblade was watching Y/N for some time, trying to stay in the shadows. Unfortunately voices and thoughts won against the logic and he want her now on his side forever.
Author's note: Inspiration from a lot of things, but especially: Hades and Persephone, Beauty and the Beast. This used to be oneshot, but I changed my mind, ut will be trilogy. English isn't my first language, so sorry for any mistakes.
Words in red colour are Technoblade's voices.
Words in blue colour are Y/N thoughts.
Y/N didn’t know when was the last time she ran for her life. Probably during one of the pillagers attack on the village or maybe in the Nether. But none of them was that type. Now she was being chased by something way much more dangerous than besties. At the moment, she’s being followed by the Blood God himself. Despite the aching and pain of her muscles and her throat feeling dry from gasping for air, Y/N was still asking herself how did on earth this happen?
~*~
Y/N always loved books and reading, she came to Smp two weeks after Foolish arrival. Actually her friendship with him leaded her here. They exchanged the letters and she was interested in staying somewhere for a while. After some time, she decided to come. Her divine friend already started to build his summer home and had few buildings done. She stayed there for few couple of days, they decided to build something for herself. She already have met most of Smp members including Dream Team, Bench Trio and rest, but owning home, place for stay was good idea. Sometimes Y/N liked to be alone. Eret allowed her to build something behind his castle, it was always nice to have someone close.
It took time before she ended house, it was cozy one with big field in front, farms, cellars and most important - library with enchanting place. It was huge, biggest part of the house with plenty of regals and reading spots. Y/N loved to spend there time and collectin more books or texts. Foolish had a lot of ancient scrolls or manuscripts and liked to share them with her. They could spend hours discussing about their favourite ones.
Books caused that Y/N met Phil, because he was the second person on the Smp, which had great collection from centauries. Shark god took her at trip to Tundra. Y/N was excited to meet such person and nervous too. Happily, everything went all right, Technoblade wasn't that time in home, so they had chilling conversation. Winged man was very curious about her skills and enchants. Of course during his travells and lifespan he met enchanters, but didn't paid much attention to them. Now, he could meet one in chill ocassion. Their three had a lot of talking, giggling and being wholesome. Phil promised to borrow more interesting books and Y/N said, that she can give some enchantments.
When Technoblade came back he immediately felt, that Foolish was there with... someone else... someone new. It smelled like pine and old paper, very nice. Phil told him about visitors and Y/N, he ignored it a little bit, but voices... voices liked this smell a lot.
'So strange.' 'Which woman can smell like that?' 'Where is she living?'
}*{
Y/N was peaceful person with no intention to harm anybody, staying in her place. She stayed in positive relations with almost everyone, providing needed enchantments and helping caused, that a lot of members were friendly to her. Y/N liked to hanging out with Bench Trio, although they were sometimes so chaotic. Usually she went mining with Ranboo, when it was needed, cutting trees with Tommy for his buildings and staying in Snowchester with Tubbo. That is why she came with almost everyone, when Tommy and Tubbo were in Dream bunkier fighting with him. Discs were just items, but... Dream's obsession, it was dangerous and teenagers were her friends. After that a lot of things changed. Putting him into Pandora's Vault was meant to protect them, but she was getting cold shivers each time she looked at black walls of prison. Knowing that everyone could be locked there...
After Egg's influence grew stronger she tried to find some infromations about it and how could ghe possible defeat it, but that took time. Foolish and Phil were so helpful handing their ancient texts, to make research. Suddenly with crimson vines everywhere, Smp became less safer, at least she felt it that way. More members were busy with their business and stuff, they finally could do them, when Dream was locked. For example Foolish agreed to build big mansion for Tubbo and Ranboo, which got platonical marriage and Tommy started his hotel. Meeting Michael was so wholesome and funny, little zombie piglin started to like her and at each visit she read him fairy tales and stories.
Y/N decided to not think about bad sides of Smp, just being busy and tried to help, if someone needed it. Before Doomsday wandering around could be dangerous, especially for La'Manburg citizens, because Dream and Technoblade were unpleasant for them. Now she enjoyed visiting almost everyone everywhere. After a few visits, she could tell that something was wrong, Y/N couldn't tell what, but it was almost like being watched, blaming Egg and vines was her answer for that, but actually why? Why did it do that? She would never joined their side. Never ever. Sometimes she spotted the Phil's corws, but that wasn't a s surprise, birds were telling him a lot of informations around the Smp. Easy way to know almost everything.
}*{
Y/N was heading to her house, stepping at Prime Path. In opposite direction she spotted Quackity, slowly walking by from prison direction, which was surprise. She smiled softly to him and he smiled back.
"What's up?" Big Q asked when got closer to her.
"It's good I am coming back home, need to eat and get some nap, and you?"
"I... ended some buisness." His face stiffened and his look became more serious.
Y/N nodded little unsure about his changed emotions. Suddenly she spotted that his sleeve is covered in fresh blood.
"Are you hurt?" She asked worried.
Quckity looked at his shirt as surprised as she and frowned, he checked axe which hanged down from his belt.
"I guess so then, but I don't know where did that come from."
"Let me take care of this." Y/N suggested with warm smile. "My home is closer than Las Nevadas."
After a few moments he nodded in agreement. They together headed to her place. Weather started to become stormy, dark cloud covered the sun, threating to start raining.
Then went inside, but when she was closing door, feeling of being watched hit her with dubled strength. House was in the spine forest, but fenced and had a gate. In filed were some farms, trees and small garden, but everything seemed to look normal. Big Q sat on the couch in living room and Y/N brought bandages, water in bowl and even healing potion. He rose sleeve, wound wasn't long, but deep, something cut his arm, probably weapon.
"It doesn't look good, but you will be okay." She said after looking at cut.
"Good." He sighed with relief.
"What did make it? Do you have an idea?"
Big Q looked dead in her eyes and remained silence. Of course he knew what, but he didn't even noticed the wound before leaving the prison. Well, someone will pay for this.
"Maybe working at Las Nevadas, you know... I am still building there." He spoke after a while.
"Oh... ye you have right, but be careful next time." Y/N suggested and started to work on cut carefuly. Starting on cleaning, then gently bandaged it.
"Thank you." Big Q said after seeing the results.
"No problem, just don't walk around with untreated wound." Y/N giggled softly.
He stood up and moved his eyes on windows. Black clouds didn't go away, even became worse.
"I will go now, weather is getting worse, I want to be in home before storm." Big Q said with soft smile.
"Of course, see you next time."
After he left, big storm came, darkness fell upon the Smp, rain and wind were too strong, for coming outside. Y/N decieded to take a chance and nap. She baked some cookies and sit down on a couch with another book, which Phil borrowed her. Only the torches gave light, sometimes thunderbolt stroke and filled room with unatural blue light. Drops hit hardly, making loud sounds, but Y/N was too much into a book. Two hours has passed and slowly night was coming. She moved eyes to meet clock, yep that was supper time, put the book away and up, Gods thr storm didn't let go. Y/N watched for a while outside, then go to kitched. She grabbed blanket and wrapped it around her posture, damn there were cold.
Again feeling of being watched kicked in. She was alone at home, that was sure thing. Outside was deep dark and behind the windows was the wall of the water. Y/N bite her lip and shook head, it was just her imagination, a feeling which stayed for no reason after putting Dream into Pandora's Vault. She took an kettle and suddenly was seeing something in the corner of the eye, something red and unusual in the spine forest. Her figure frozen when she moved back eyes. Deep in the dark, around sprouce trees in the line of forest, Y/N spotted pair of shinning, red eyes, high above the ground. They were locked at her figure.
'This has to be spider... or something else...'
Right after this thought, ceature turned back and disappeard in the darkness, cold shiver went down at Y/N spine. What was that? And why it was here? At least she was safe in home...

'More.' 'Training is boring, let's find someone to fight.' 'We demand blood.'
Technoblade sighed and stopped, voices today were very, very loud. That was why he decided to train, but during it, they became even worse. He hid sword and walked into home. Phil wasn't here today, he had to do something, but didn't bother to tell him what it was. Blade went back to home by his old path through the forest. His training place was near the cottage, but still hidden from common people. All members of Syndicate knew where it was. First of all he need to take shower. When cold water touched his skin, he felt like even his bloodlust became less, quiet hiss left his lips. He earned some chafings this week. Next, he changed his clothes to common and made a cup of tea, then sit in the kitchen. Immediately his thoughts went to Y/N.
Somehow voices were acting diffrent around her and he even found himself acting that way. They were focused around Y/N and he was more calm, like just her pressence was comforting him. Technoblade remembered their first meeting, it was common day, when someone knocked on the door. He opened it and rose his eyebrows in surprise, outside was standing fragile woman, without any armor and only with trident on her back. They shared awkward eye contact, when suddenly she introduced herself as Y/N. Of course he saw her couple of times, but it wasn't officialy. Y/N has known who was he for sure, she swallowed hard and looked down with shyness. Phil yelled across the room, that she could come in. Ah yes... she loved to read books and his old friend was borrowing her them a lot. Technoblade again felt the spine and old papers smell, for him, it could stay here forever. After short visit, Y/N took books, gave back book of enchantment and left.
Techno's curiosity has increased, when he heard about her more. She was peaceful, friendly soul, completly opposite of him, maybe that was, why he felt so... diffrent around her and voices too. Piglin hybrid enjoyed watching her from the distance, in the shadows, but lately... lately it wasn't enough. Now he wanted to breathe at Y/N scent, holding her close and pressed soft kisses at forehead. He was under voices pressure so long and now his salvation was so close. But what would he make it? As longer he has thought of that, a diffrent ideas came to his head. She was delicate creature, he had to get plan at all. Techno knew almost everything about her: hobbies, traditions, friends and fighting skills. Phil told him a lot about enchanters, they could make enchanting books after years of studying and had magic talent sometimes. As they knew, Y/N could enchant books at any spell, so she had to studied a lot. Technoblade sighed and grabbed his cloak, time to keep an eye on few things.
'Let's not go quietly!' 'Let's go quiet as grave...' 'Blood for the Blood God!'

That was busy week, Y/N could only one time saw Foolish and Phil, but whole Smp seemed a little bit diffrent... luckily she was able to go on mining trip with Ranboo and Eret visited her with a couple of books, which were about Smp. Now was afternoon and sun slowly started to set, she was heading to her house, where waited for her snow fox, which she found in Snowchester. Cute, little ball of fur stole Y/N heart immediately. When she finally stepped inside, Snowflake - that how she named it, ran into her squeaking high.
"What happend my little one?" She knelt down and pet it's head.
Fox looked at her with big brown eyes and squeaked once more, then jump into her arms.
"Oh oh oh... are you afraid of something?" Y/N hugged Snowflake and looked around. Everything in home seemed normal, door was closed, in a field same, animals were quite nervous, but everything was good. She frowned and stepped inside, then put fox into basket with small blanket.
"I will bring you some berries, you will like it for sure." Y/N smiled gently.
Unfortunately, she didn't have any at this moment in home, Snowflake was there only for three days, so she couldn't make berries farm so fast, because she had to set up a space. Luckily, she lived around coniferous forest, so didn't even hesiatate, Y/N just grabbed backpack and went outside. Sun was lower in the sky, but still it was warm and brightly. Birds were humming quietly and around was quite quiet. Berries bush weren't so far, she founed some, but in order to make supplies, decided to find more, then plant them around the house. It would spared the time and work.
"Y/N." She heard deep, lazy voice and immediately turned at it's direction.
The Blade was standing under big sprouce tree with satisfied grinn on his lips. Eyes locked on Y/N figure, which completly froze at the sight of him. She have never been with him alone, in tundra always Phil or Ranboo were around, now it felt... strange and risky, she still remembered what happend to La'Manburg citizens.
"Technoblade." Y/N spoke softly, being careful to not crack her voice, despite building feeling of fear. She noticed, that piglin hybrid under his royal, crimson cloak was wearing armor, probably not his best one, but still enough to win fight. Part of hair made into bun, rest were freely in his back and shoulders. From his belt was hanging netherite sword and netherite axe was sticking out from behind. She spotted, that his weapons were a little covered in blood, same as his sleeves and parts of shirt. He was killing monsters right? Or just hunting? Uncomfortable, awkward silence reminded between them, only forest noises distrubed it from time to time.
Voices were too loud today, too agressive, too greedy, killing monsters and pillagers wasn't enough, Quackity has already tasted his steel, well he deserved that after showing up in Y/N home. He had so much fun with him, but after that he needed some rest, comfort and calm. That is why without even thinking too much Technoblade went straight to Y/N house. He hoped, that everything will change, that he finally will has some break from voices, violence and killing. Of course he liked his way to be... but yes sometimes, you have to make a nap.
"Are you wounded?" Y/N asked quietly breaking the silence. After all, if he needed help, she would help him, without hesitation.
Technoblade's grinn became more sinister, he put hand on sword hilt and slowly tilted his head on right side.
"This isn't my blood." He said without caring at all.
"Oh, that's good then..." Y/N whispered, but he could hear that.
Piglin hybrid studied her posture, she had only trident at her back, backpack in left hand, no armor, no more weapons. Poor little girl, that's not how you are going outside your home, she was literally unarmed in his eyes.
"So... what are you doing here? Alone? In the forest?" Technoblade asked and moved closer to her.
The way he spoke these words, made Y/N shiver inside, outside, she grabbed her backpack harder. Surely there was nothing to worry about, she has never done something wrong to him or Philza, she wasn't dangerous or wanted to has any power. Techno is probably just passing by. Suddenly he was so close, now she could for real see the height diffrence, for the gods sake, her head reached around his breastbone. Y/N looked up only to meet piglin hybrid's burning gaze.
"I... I was collecting berries for my snow fox. Something scared her, so I thought that she will calm down after getting some and I ran out of them..." she suttered and swallow hard.
"How sweet." Technoblade commented and his smile widened.
"So... you are just passing by?"
"Not really."
Sudden grip on her chin caught Y/N off guard. Technoblade forced her to look straight into his eyes. His face stiffened a little bit, she hissed quietly, when claws touched harder gentle skin. Then she realised... Blade's eyes were red and she heard, that it could glow in darkness. Her skin became pale and pupils widened. It was him, that time during a storm, he was watching her...
"What are you doing?" Y/N asked quietly, without any clue, what was going on.
'She is so innocent.' 'We love her scent.' 'Let her know.'
"I have something to tell you." He leaned and immediately her scent hit him harder, resisting to take deep breath wasn't that easy.
"What excatly?"
"I was watching you for a while Y/N. Belive me or not I found that interesting, because your pressence is calming for me, I can fall asleep while listening your voice and push away my violence behaviour, when you are around." He stroked her cheek by his thumb and smiled haughty. "I am always getting , what I want and I want that so badly, you can't even imagine."
Y/N shook head and made few steps back, leaving his grip, couldn't belive what she just heard. That's impossible.
"I don't know what to say... I can admit, that I had strange feeling of being watching but... I blamed the Egg..." She looked deep into his eyes, trying to put everything together. "What do you mean, you are always getting, what are you want? How am I suppose to understand that?"
"Listen sweetheart, we can do this in two diffrent ways: good or bad. If you choose first one, fine politely you will go with me. Second way? Well I can be very convincing, when I want to." Technoblade frowned.
None of this options was good for her. Y/N sighed and her shoulders dropped. She couldn't do anything literally...
"Come on princess. I can take care of you, I promise, you will be happy." He gave her his hand, but gripped sword hilt harder.
Y/N always avoided the conflicts and argues, never has started any, that was easier and better way to live. She could take care of her interests, powers anf friends by being supportive or neutral. Technoblade's behaviour made her shiver and feel sick, there was no guarantee that he will keep his words, even if it were sweet and promising. Y/N knew that fighting him was pointlees, he were ten thousand better than her, she didn't even have armor or second weapon. But surrender just like that? Without any resistance? She always was determinated, miss 'you can always find a way, solution'. Not a chance.
"I think I have better option, which lay in the middle." Y/N smiled gently.
"Well, tell me then." Technoblade rose his eyebrows with curiosity.
With one smooth move, she put backpack on and immediately started to run. The Blade's pupils widened, he burst out laughing.
"It will be funny."
She has known, that she needed to lose him in forest. Going to home wouldn't help, because door or gate couldn't stop Blood God. Lost him and then ran away from Smp, at least her current living location. Y/N realized that she couldn't even ask for help anyone. Probably Technoblade would come after her friends, helpers, so that was it. Y/N versus The Blade, she was on her own.
'How did she dare to run away from us?!' 'Chase her, catch her.' 'Faster, faster, faster!'
It seemed like running away from Tommy for fun, came in handy and long trips with Ranboo caused her to move fast through forest. Y/N nimbly jumped over obstacles and avoid rocks or roots. Her pace wasn't the fastes, but she could hold it for pretty long time. She wasn't thinking a lot, just tried to run away as far as she could.
'Don't look back, don't look back, it will make you slower.'
Hiding could be good idea, but not now. As long as he was close, she couldn't stop at all. Breaking through the forest was only hearing noise, soon, she heard her heavy breathing. Heading to unknown direction wasn't so wisely, but Y/N had no choice. After a few minutes, she stopped to catch breath. Around was sudden so quiet, cold shiver went down at her spine. Too quiet.
"Already tired?" Technoblade's voice surprised her from left side.
She turned head, just to see him leaning against the tree. In his right hand he held sword, didn't even look like he was running.
"You can't outrun me little one. A lot of people tried, now they are dead." He aimed sword at her. "We can end this farce here. I am not mad, honestly, you made me smile a little bit."
"You will have to catch me, if you want me going with you." Y/N said and then continue to run away.
"Oh I will princess, that's what predator does to the prey."
Y/N started to feel really tired, muscles aching, throat dry from gasping for air, hair dispelled and cheeks red. She ran for a while, but now had to stop. Technoblade immediately appeared in her field of vision. He was walking carefuly, but still looked intimidating.
"Don't come closer!" She released a cry.
Piglin hybrid stopped about eight meters away. He leaned sword against the ground and looked at her with curious gaze.
'Here she is, our reward.' 'Let's finally take her with us.' 'We like that sound.'
"I think, I just caught you." A little grinn appeared on his lips.
She looked straight into his eyes. Her gaze full of fear met a calm and determination. Y/N didn't even want to think what would happend, if he fulfilled his desires. Gods sake, she was free human being, none could take her freedom, she didn't ask for this. In an act of desperation, with the last of her strength, she used her powers. Feeling of warm through fingers and energy drained from her veins, but then burning light. In Technoblade's towards direction flew literally fireball, but he was too skilled for this. He made a dodge and looked at Y/N with mix of proud and shock. She dropped to her knees, struggling to stay conscious, despite the pain at her whole body and tired mind and unclear vision. Technoblade immediately was with her, he knelt down and support her, by putting arm around her waist. Y/N leaned back against his chest, fatigue prevailed over reason.
"Enough for today princess. You run out, if you will keep resisting." He whispered calmly.
"Please, please... please I don't want this, I want to go home." Her voice was cracking, tears strimming down at her cheeks.
"Hush darling, everything will be all right."
Technoblade's body radiated warm, his tone suddenly was so calming and sleepy. She wanted to close eyes so badly, but still fear was too big.
"You are safe, nothing can hurt you I promise."
After this words Y/N gave up and lost consciousness. Sun went down and shadows became longer and darker.
}*{
Phil careful closed the doors, then walked quietly down. Technoblade sat in kitchen with cup of hot tea, he immediately looked at his old friend, his eyes were worrying.
"Y/N is good, she lost consciousness, because was too tired. You said that, she used her powers."
"It was literally fireball, but I dodge that easy."
"Well, now we know about her powers at least... interesting, what you are going to do, when she wake up?" Phil asked and sat in opposite site.
"I know, that you are not glad about this, but I will figure this out. She won't cause any troubles." Techno's voice became deeper.
Winged man sighed and looked at his friend. He knew what he was going through, when voices became louder and demanded blood, each moment of silence or when they were quiet, Technoblade cherished and tried to make it worth. Phil couldn't be angry or mad for his friend about that deed, but... he was torn.
"Come on spit it out. I can see that you want to tell something important." Piglin hybrid said slowly.
"We were through a lot of shit, we know each other for almost ages and we blew up the nation for gods sake, kidnapping isn't the worst thing you have done, but..." Phil started and looked at Techno. "I wish you best and everything good, but I don't know how will I act around. Y/N has come to me for books, we were talking about stuff, I gave her cookies and tea. How will I explain, that I am supporting your decision? And I am always on your side." Phil said aloud his worries.
"I will give her time to get used to. After certain amount of time Y/N will understand." The Blade was lost in his thoughts.
He was so greatful of his friend statement, but still a little bit unsure. This case shloudn't affect on their relationship or Phil's life. Honestly Technoblade belived that his pressence will comfort Y/N at least, as he said they were close and enjoyed each other company.
"Someone will notice her disappering. What then? And Ranboo is visiting us a lot." Phil sighed a little.
"I've got this, trust me."
"I trust you with my own life." Winged man nodded.

Sunlight kissed her skin gently, when it showed up on window. Y/N felt softness under herself and on her back. Quiet sigh left her lips, when she opened eyes. In the room was very bright, but for sure it wasn't her room. Immediately cold shiver went down at her spine. Still weak, she tried to lift herself, because she was lying on stomach. Bed was big, with good beddings and pillows.
"Don't move, you are still weak." Technoblade's voice was soft, but loud.
Y/N bite her lip and then lifted head. He was standing near the bed and observing curiously, looking completly diffrent. White, linen shirt and high waisted, leather trousers, hair braided tighly. In this version he was... more open and accessible, not so scary.
"Where am I?" She asked slowly and rolled at her back with quiet hiss. Muscles still hurt and throat was dry.
"In my house, in tundra safe and..." He cut off, while noticed that Y/N is trying to get up. "What did I say?" He stepped closer and sat on bed.
She sat unsure on mattress, just to met Technoblade here, he gripped again her chin, as in the forest and forced her to look at him. This time it was more gently.
"Darling please..."
"You can't take my freedom!"
His eyes darkened immediately and Y/N regreted her words. She swallowed hard, when Blade looked deep into her eyes.
"Of course I can and I will, if you don't behave good. If you didn't notice, you aren't chained or tied, but pretty comfy in my bed." He said slowly with threat in his voice. "Think about it."
Technoblade released her and got up. She looked down thinking about situation, yes he didn't tied her, but still it wasn't good case. Y/N just wanted to be free, do stuff which she want and meet friends. Maybe Smp wasn't perfect, but still now it was her home, there were a lot of wars or argues, but she still had house and persons which she cared about and this was mutual, now everything was unsure.
"I am just afraid... " Y/N whispered quietly.
"As I said earlier you are safe here, you are safe with me. Nothing can hurt you." Techno grabbed bowl with soup and came back. "Here, eat, you need to recover."
"Thanks." She smiled weakly to him, took bowl and started to eat slowly.
'Good girl.' 'She will behave for sure.' 'We can teach her a lesson.'
Y/N was napping for the rest of the day, Technoblade gave her one of their books, so she wasn't bored. Probably tomorrow or next day she will stand up.
The sound of closing doors, caused her to closed book and put it away. Piglin smiled gently and took off his shirt suddenly. Y/N eyes became big.
"Wait wait wait..."
"Calm down princess, I am just going to sleep, nothing else." Technoblade smirked for her panic.
"So... where shloud I move?" Y/N asked looking around the room.
"Nowhere. You are staying here with me."
Immediately her cheeks went slighty red. She looked at him curiously. His pink skin seemed gentle from the distance, a lot of scars marked his chest and arms. Some of them little, some of them large, the biggest one was through both sides of chest. Technoblade released his hair and came closer. Y/N moved to make him some space. He laid down, she followed his steps but remain distance.
"Goodnight." She said and turned back from him.
"Goodnight sweetheart."
He blow up torches near the bed and silence fell upon them. Not even a five minutes passed, when Y/N felt sudden grip on her waist. She froze, Technoblade hugged her and pressed kiss on her shoulder.
"What are you doing?" Quiet whisper left her lips.
"Snuggling and cuddling." He whispered softly.
Y/N couldn't help, she giggled quietly. Techno took this as premission, her back touched his chest and second hand slowly stroked her hair.

Insatiable. ( Jungkook x OC)

Genre : Vampire Au!!!! , DILF! Jungkook ! Bodyguard AU! Babysitter OC!   Age difference!!! [ bet you’ve never seen all of this in one fic before? ]
[ Some notes : Born Vampires stop aging when they turn twenty five.  Turned vampires stop aging when they’re turned. ]
Summary :
21 year old Hwang Sera is sick of being the only human in an entire clan of vampires. As an immortal human from one of the oldest bloodlines, she is a catch. The Vampire she marries would essentially be indestructible.
Which makes her an easy target for greedy vampires everywhere.
Determined to keep his precious daughter safe, her father hires an old friend , Jeon Jungkook as her full time bodyguard.
Jungkook is 35 years old ( well technically 576 years old )  , father to an adorable five year old kid and he has zero tolerance for Sera and her teenage shenanigans. But , he needs the money and he knows his son would be safe in the  Hwang clan’s massive mansion.
And suddenly, after years of despising vampires, all Sera can think about is getting into the gorgeous vampire’s bed and maybe into his heart.
Chapter 1
“He’s so hot.” My sister sighed for the seventeenth time and I glared at her.
“He’s mine. Back the fuck off.” I bared my non existent fangs at her and she retaliated by showing off her own inch long fangs, eyes flashing ruby red in the confines of our huge sprawling bedroom.
The man in question, my sparkling new bodyguard wasn’t here now. He was downstairs at the party, being introduced to the others as the latest addition to our clan.
My mouth watered when I remembered his gorgeous, handsome face. And that body , God.
Sculpted by some higher being who wanted to show off, for sure.
I had never given much thought to losing my virginity. It certainly wasn’t by design that I hadn’t had sex yet but looking at Jeon Jungkook in a fitted black suit, midnight black hair falling into his lovely red eyes and those delicious muscles.....
I kind of believed in fate now.
This was why I’d always been repulsed by the vampires who courted me.
Because Jeon Jungkook had been out there, waiting for me.
And now fate had brought him here and he was going to be mine.
I stumbled over a stray bra, nearly face planting onto the floor .
 God, i hated how messy Somi was but I was also eternally grateful that she had skipped out on the party tonight, volunteering to help me with the kids.
I ran a daycare in one of the larger cottages in the estate, keeping the little fanged devils in check while the parents went about their daily lives. On nights like this, when my father hosted guests from every clan in the country for one of his lavish parties, there was always a whole bunch of bite-happy toddlers in need of supervision.
Enter me.
 I loved babies. I’d always loved them. They were adorable. And after three years of school , I was finally, officially qualified in caring for them.
Oh and by the way did i tell you that Jungkook had a son? Jeon Joowon was possibly the cutest five year old I’d ever seen and yes I was a little biased but that was okay. I was going to be the kids step mom , after all.
Listen, don’t look at me like that, I just really want to be with Jungkook okay?
I tripped over the same bra when turning back around and I swore.
Focus, Sera. You can day dream about hot vampire daddy later.
“ Why do you have to throw your shit all over the place like this? “ I whined, grabbing the offensive piece of fabric and tossing it at her. She caught is so fast I  went a little cross eyed. My sister never missed an opportunity to show off her super-saiyan, vampire powers. That made her a crowd favorite with the toddlers and younglings .
“I still don’t think your choice of a career is smart. These fanged little beasts are impossible to control... ” She commented mildly, watching me stuff two whole cartons of baby wipes into the huge backpack I had propped against the bed. I’d forgotten to restock the day care with wet wipes and it was sheer luck that I had a pair of them lying around my room.
The very idea of entering a room full of babies and toddlers without baby wipes, made me shudder.
“Listen, they’re absolute angels when you listen to what they’re saying. Just because babies can’t talk doesn’t mean they don’t have preferences. All you really need to do is find out what each kid likes and help them feel comfortable -”
“Please stop.” She rolled her eyes and I glared at her.
“I’m a little thirsty. Can i have a sip..” She said softly and I frowned.
“You haven’t drunk from me the entire day. Are you okay?” I held my wrist out.
She shrugged , grabbing my wrist and casually sinking her fangs into the vein . Pain bloomed, familiar and somehow comforting , replaced almost at once by the gentle numbing of her venom. She drank a little and pulled back soon after, linking the puncture wounds for good measure. I watched the skin knit itself together , whole and unmarred in no time.
Perks of being immortal.
The knock on the door made me jump.
“Ms Hwang?” Jungkook’s soft, husky voice came floating through the door and I grinned, cheeks aching with how wide my smile was.
“You look like a maniac. Stop smiling.” My sister looked a little alarmed and I struggled to rearrange my features. Sticking my tongue out at her, I grabbed my sweatshirt, slipping it overhead quickly. I glanced at the mirror, grimacing a bit.
Being with toddlers meant no make up or hair left free.... and so I had a messy top bun, and just lip gloss to look presentable. While the entire party teemed with gorgeous vampires in low cut gowns and blood red lips.
Ugh.
I grabbed the backpack and waved to Somi.
“Come as soon as you can alright?” I begged her and she waved me off.
I rushed to the door, throwing it open and smiling wide.
“Hi oppa.” I said cheerfully.
“I’m not your oppa.” Jungkook said automatically, barely glancing at me and instead reaching for the backpack. He directed me to the stairwell on the side, the one that led straight down to the ground floor and out into the gardens. He went in first and  I followed him,  climbing down carefully.
I sighed, taking in the mouth watering width of his shoulders, encased in a perfectly fitted jacket. He looked so handsome I wanted to cry. And although he’d been here for a whole week month now, I hadn’t managed to get into his good graces.
“What do I call you, then?” I made to hold his hand when we reached the end of the staircase  but he shook my arm off at once.
Did I tell you that he really can’t stand me for some reason?
“As I’ve  mentioned a dozen times already, Mr. Jeon would suffice.” He said shortly. He held the door leading out into the gardens open and I walked through.
“That makes you seem so old.” I grimaced, shaking my head and he gave me an amused look.
“I am 576 years old.” He deadpanned. The daycare cottage was just a five minute walk from the mansion and the pathway through the garden was absolutely beautiful, well lit and covered in the brightest flowers.
I waved off his excuse about his age.
“you don’t look a day over twenty five to me.” I said with a shrug. He shook his head, clearly too tired to carry the conversation on. We walked in silence and I felt incredibly content, just with him near.
 And he was going to be by my side for the rest of our lives, I thought softly. I would make sure of it. I’d never felt this way about anyone. Jungkook was a good man , evident in literally everything he did. He was kind, an amazing father and such a gentleman that he made me melt.
Jungkook had been turned at the age of 35. And so he sailed through eternity with the gorgeous good looks of a mature , well kept man. His hair was thick, just a slight bit of grey peppering the edges and his features were sharp and well defined.
“Is Joowon in the daycare already?” I asked with a smile and he nodded curtly.
“He has Mr. Pepper with him. He refused to leave him behind. please just make sure he still has him with him when he leaves. He can’t fall asleep without the bunny “ He said softly and I felt my heart bloom ten sizes.
“Of course, I will -”
“Jungkook !!!” The shrill voice broke the stillness of the night like a hammer through a mirror.
I turned around with a frown only to be greeted by the sight of a very pretty, very tall vampire in a blood red bodycon dress and a neckline that plunged all the way to her belly button. She had ruby red lips, and well made eyes. Eyes that now flashed red , dilating as they ran up and down his body.
I felt myself clenching my fists.
“I’m getting late....we need to go, I grabbed his arm trying to tug him along but he didn’t budge. i glanced at his face and felt my heart shatter at the small smile playing around his lips.
“Helena..... Surprise seeing you here....” He drawled, voice so much deeper than usual and I bit my lips. They knew each other?
The vampire had reached us now and she gave me a disdainful smile.
“Who’s this?” She asked with a laugh, “ Are you babysitting now, Jeon?”
I bristled. To my utter chagrin, Jungkook laughed to.
“She’s the kid I’m watching. The Immortal human  of the Hwang clan.” He intoned dully.
The lady’s brows went up in surprise.
“:The rumors are true, ....The Hwang clan’s hidden jewel.....with skin like the rarest pearl and eyes that steal souls. Fiercely guarded ...a beauty like no other.... I thought they were exaggerating, but I see they were not. . You’re exquisite.” She commented , seemingly genuine in the compliment as her eyes roved over my features.
“ Um.. thanks?” I shrugged, not particularly flattered by the extravagant description.
The poets in my clan tended to be a bit overdramatic at times.
. She laughed.
“Are you unavailable for the night, then Jeon?” She turned her flashing eyes on him .
My jaw nearly dropped.
Did this bitch really just proposition-
“Afraid so.... Raincheck?” Jungkook smiled wide and he looked so beautiful that I had to bit my lips to stop from moaning.
Helena waved softly, eyes shifting back to me.
“Be safe, little human. When the sun goes down, the ghouls come out to play.” She grinned wide, letting her fangs grow long, past her lower lip, eyes red and bloody.
I stared right back. She laughed and waved before floating away into the night.
Jungkook chuckled.
“You’re not intimidated by us, then.” He said mildly as we began walking again.
“I spent the entirety of my childhood playing with vampires. Do you really think they didn’t spend every waking hour trying to scare me to death?”
He gave me soft smile, and then went back to staring straight ahead.
I relaxed when the familiar cottage came into view, the sound of laughing kids reaching me.
I held my hand out for the backpack and Jungkook gave it to me.
“I’ll just check out the backyard and see if al the gates are secure and then I’ll be right outside the door, alright? Call out if you need me...” He said sharply
“Will you come even if I call you oppa?” I bit my lips, grinning and he flicked my nose.
“Behave.” He said shortly. I sighed.
“I’m not a kid, you know.” I said softly and he gave me a look.
“You are to me. Now get inside.”
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“There’s a monster behind the tree and I’m Hawkeye because I have the bow and arrow and Jieun is the princess.” Joowon said brightly, showing off the toy bow and arrow in his hand and I grinned, taking in his exquisite features. He looked strikingly like his father , except for the two adorable dimples that showed up everytime he smiled.
“That’s amazing... do you like fighting monsters?” I asked with a grin holding my arms out for him and he hugged me happily.
“Yes, I like fighting monsters and I like Mr. Pepper.” He waved the stuffed bunny in my face.
“Make sure you keep him safe, alright? “ I stroked the soft skin of the
“So what color does your daddy like?” I asked with a grin. I felt a sharp kick on my shin and I turned to my sister.
“Don’t use the fucking kid for your sinful aims, you dingbat!” She hissed and I glared at her.
“I did no such thing...I was just making conversation....” I hissed back.
“Dad likes black.” Joowon answered dutifully and I ruffled his hair. Jieun appeared then, having waited for her prince and gotten bored. She tugged on Joowon’s arm and I let him go, watching the two of them run off.
“Its only been a month, Sera.... I think you should tone down the infatuation. You know dad would never approve.” My sister said gently and I frowned.
“No he won’t, Dad loves me , he wants me to be happy.” I said shortly.
“Yes, but not with Jungkook. He’s a rogue vampire. He doesn’t have a clan. He has a kid ...”
“An angel of a kid...”
“he has a kid whose mother he had to kill because she was a bloodthirsty witch.”
i stared at my sister feeling anger build inside me.
“What does any of that have to do with how I feel about him?” I demanded , moving to stop one of the littles from tripping over a stray rubik’s cube.
“ You’re special. You’re being courted by some of the richest, most powerful  vampires in the country and you want to go after the rogue , broke vampire who’s only here because he needs the money and the safety of our clan?”
“I’m not having this conversation with you.” I said firmly.
Somi sighed.
“I’m just saying. Don’t be so blatantly open about your feelings. You’ll be putting a target on Jungkook’s back.”
I exhaled sharply.
“If anyone tries to hurt him, they die.” I said softly.
Somi chuckled.
“I know.... but still, he’s not looking for trouble. Don’t bring it to his doorstep.”
I didn’t reply, moving quickly to the other side of the room.
the words left a bitter taste on my tongue.
Mostly because my sister was right.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
i stared at the tall strapping vampire, trying to comprehend what I was hearing.
“What do you mean he isn’t here for the night?” I demanded.
“He’s a little tired. He told me had a little too much to drink and he wants to sleep it off. I’ll be here instead ... Just for tonight.” He tried to smile reassuringly and I was momentarily distracted by very deep dimples  but I could feel myself fuming.
“and he didn’t think of saying that to me himself? He had to run off while i was closing up the cottage?” I glared.
The Vampire chuckled.
“He told me you might protest.”
“Of course i protest, I feel safer with him...” I said sharply.
The Vampire gave me a deep sigh.
“I’ve been doing this for three centuries, Miss Hwang. You’re definitely safe with me.” He bowed his head.
“What’s your name?” I demanded.
“Kim Namjoon.”
“Fine , Kim Namjoon ssi.... Let’s go. “
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Giving Namjoon the slip was a lot easier than I thought. I waited for him to greet my great uncle, and slipped between two waiters carrying blood cocktails and weaved into the crowd easily.
Jungkook’s bedroom was next to mine and it took me less than a minute to race up the stairs and to his room.
i banged on the door , determined to see for myself just how drunk he’d gotten.
The door opened and i took a deep breath.
“How dare you leave me-”
I froze when I realized that he was shirtless, fresh out of the shower. Water dripped down his torso , like little starbursts of liquid light and my mouth went dry. I swallowed, staring at the tightly packed abs, the dip of his v line as it disappeared into a fluffy white towel.
“What the fuck are you doing here?” He growled angrily.
My eyes flew to meet his and then my gaze caught something red on his bed and I peered over his shoulder.
Pain lanced through my heart so sharp that I felt like I’d taken a fucking brick to my chest.
The sight of Helena, naked except for a red bra, stretched out on his bed got burned into my brain and I choked.
“You-” I began but he grabbed my arm, so hard that I knew I would bruise. He yanked me away from the threshold of his room, dragging me to the middle of the hallway as he slammed the door to his room shut.
“Where the fuck is Namjoon?”
“You ditched me to get laid? “ I hissed in disbelief.
“I can’t fucking believe you’re doing this-”
“Is she your girlfriend-”
“Sera-” he shook me again but I refused to back down. I had to know.
“Are you in love with her?!!!” I demanded, my heart breaking .
Jungkook growled.
“It’s none of your damned business!!” He snapped angrily .
“It is !!” I said shrilly.
“Why on earth-”
“Because I’m in love with you!!” I shouted and he froze.
He let go of me like he’d been burned and stepped back, staring at me wide eyed,.
“What did you just say?” He demanded.
“I want you. I want you to court me-”
“Sera stop.” He said sharply
“I’m not joking...I like you and-”
“Shut up.” He growled, his voice shaking.
I swallowed.
“If you say something as asinine as that to me , ever again... I  will  make you regret it. ” He warned softly.
I felt my heart jerk in panic.
“Jungkook-”
“It’s Mr. Jeon to you!!!” He growled.
I bit my lips, staring at my feet.
“I’m going to pretend this never happened. You’re going to go to your room and wait for Namjoon. If anything like this ever happens again, I’m telling your father.”
I laughed bitterly.
“I’m not fucking twelve years old you son of a bitch. Stop talking to me like I’m your toy or something !” I snarled.
“If you were my toy I would fucking spank you till you cry and lock you in a damn room!” He hissed.
I flinched.
He took a deep shaky breath.
“This never happened.” He said sharply. “ I’m not one of your boytoys. I have no interest in fledgling humans who know nothing about life. That's not the kind of woman I’m looking for. You’re not the kind of woman I’m looking for because you aren’t even a woman yet.”
“ Jungkook !!!” Namjoon’s voice rang through the hallway and I stepped back.
“Have a good night with your whore, Mr. Jeon.” I snapped, before turning on my heel and leaving.
Chaotic Foundling
Tumblr media
Paring: Din Djarin x teen reader (GN)
Word count: 1,908
Rating : PG
Summary : Din's foundling is a wild thing and poor him has to do his best and parent them.
Warning: I am not really that wild so I did my best to show that they really don't have any boundaries in life lol. I hope you enjoy :)
It only took Din a day after taking you in to realize how much of a handful you would become. Sure, he thought that you were just a little on the hyperactive side…. He was quickly proven wrong.
“Stay put. Stay quiet.” Din sat you on the co-pilot’s seat of the Razor Crest. He was making last minute preparations for their departure off-planet. “I’ll be right back.”
“Okay.” You hummed, swinging your legs in the chair as he walked off.
He made his way over to the sleeping quarters to check on Grogu. The Mandalorian was unable to make a proper check up as the ship suddenly jerked, tripping Din over his feet and face first into the floor. His armor rang loudly in his ears, disorienting him for several clicks before he managed to make a proper stance and run to the cockpit. There, he found you sitting in the pilot’s chair, his chair, a wild grin on your face as you gripped the controls.
You made a disappointed grunt when Din tried to pry your hands off of the controls.
“No!” You swatted at his hands in an attempt to stop him but he overpowered you quickly, landing the razor crest in a fast manner. The pit was silent except for the occasional beeping of machinery.
Din suddenly turned to you. “What was that?”
“You took forever!”
Din paused a moment, seemingly in disbelief despite not being able to see his face. “I was gone five seconds.”
----------
“Y/N! Stay put. I’m coming to get you.” Din stood at the base of a dune, staring up into the sky where you were. He had turned away for one second the next thing he knew was you got nabbed by local thieves who’d made a surprise attack, taken up into the air by one of them mounted on their cruisers as others surrounded him.
“No shit!” Your voice rang from above.
Din was quick to overpower the group around him. They were equipped with menial weapons that were nothing compared to his beskar. After throwing the last of the men to the ground, Din made a move to activate his jetpack when a body fell to his feet. He paused a click, seemingly unaffected by the sudden crack the body made and looked up at the cruiser where you sat alone.
To say that Din was proud would have been an understatement.
“Good job kid,” Din beamed underneath his beskar. “Sit tight, I’m- hey- wait- NO.”
Without giving Din a chance to finish his statement you dove into the air. You had no parachute or jetpack on your own. Instead you dawned a crazed grin on your face and a light in your eyes as you fell closer and closer to the ground. Your mouth opened to yell in joy, but instead made an “oof” sound when Din caught you midair.
“STILL ALIVE!” You exclaimed, dangling upside down from the way Din managed to catch you.
“Maybe if I drop you you’ll have some sense knocked into that head of yours.”
-----
Din thought that after the endless lectures you’d come to realize that you were to stay put where you were told as he went into battle. He quickly realized he was wrong when amidst the soldiers was speck of (H/C). He paused for a moment, unsure of what to think as he scanned the area for whatever it was he saw. Blasters grazed his helmet and hit a droid behind him, Din quickly straightened up and turned to the fallen droid before diverting his gaze back to whoever shot the fire.
There you were, carrying a blaster almost twice your size with Grogu swaddled on your back. And you were… laughing?
“Y/N” Din began marching towards you too.
“I wish I could have seen the look on your face.” You wheezed, jumping up and down. Din worried for the blaster in your hands and whoever was unfortunate enough to receive the next shot, most importantly whether it was to be on purpose or not. “Guess you weren’t ready for me to save your butt just now. You’re getting slow Din!”
A blast shot out of Din’s weapon as a soldier advanced toward the two children. You barely made a reaction as you were in the middle of spinning in joy.
“Where did you get that? I- Y’know what- nevermind. Go back to the ship. We’ll talk later.”
“But we like it here-”
“Now.”
You looked at Din a moment with a small frown. It quickly concerned Din when he saw that frown turn into a toothy grin, but before he could say anything a cruiser zoomed past him and all he could do was watch as you somehow mounted the vehicle mid-air, laughing with a wild glint in your eyes,
“No. Kid get off. No, no- Y/N! Hey!” Din broke into a run and followed the cruiser as you taunted him by sticking out your tongue and shooting the blaster recklessly.
---
The Mandalorian was assigned to hunt down a Bosa that had been terrorizing a peaceful farming village. After leaving you and Grogu to the care of the villagers, he spent the next several days tracking down the beast before he finally found it. What he was not expecting to find was you taunting the trapped beast with a metal pole and a blaster by your side. How you managed to trap it, Din didn’t know. He didn’t even want to know how long you waited before sneaking out of the village. But he turned to find Grogu nearby watching, giggling wildly until he fell over.
Din tried to call for you, but you didn’t hear as the beast roared loudly at you. You bore a crazed grin and screamed back at the creature, your face unnecessarily close to its mouth, and laughed wildly as you poked the creature with a stick. Just as the creature was about to try and bite you from it’s trap, Din picked you up and carried you and Grogu away from the creature.
“Can we cook it??”
----
With the amount of trouble you’ve caused for Din he’s learned to do a routine checkup to make sure that you had all of your limbs intact as they should be. With the amount of trouble you went into, from taking big falls and getting hit by a dewback -long story- he realized that checkups were a necessity as you probably had more mishaps and adventures than you let on.
“YOU’LL NEVER TAKE ME ALIVE.”
“You need the bacta kid,” Din was hot on your tail as you ran away from him and the bacta spray in your hands. He quickly put you in a corner. “Aha. C’mere, it’ll only sting a little.”
He took some steps forward and knelt down, opening his hand so as to invite you to allow him to put the spray on your arm. For a moment, he saw your eyes soften and thought he finally got through to you.
“SNEAK ATTACK.”
Seemingly out of nowhere you smacked a metal breastplate against his helmet and made a run for it as he was disoriented.
---
For obvious reasons, Din had to find a lock for the armory. He took you and Grogu with him to the local market close to where they were given room and board for the night.
“Put it back.”
Your hand froze, holding a blade in your hand. You quickly stuffed it out of sight even though Din was ahead of you and wasn’t looking in your direction. “Put what back?”
Din stopped after a few paces, his attention turned to a fruit stand and began to pick up some and check to see if they were ripe. “What happened to the credits I gave you?”
“I lost them.”
A sigh. Din wasn’t surprised. “How?”
There was a pause.
“Gambling.” The largest smirk spreads across your face.
Din whipped around. He blinked for several moments and enunciated each syllable, tone almost sarcastic and defeated as though he was trying to not believe what you’d said “Gambling?” You nodded enthusiastically. With a sign, Din decided that he didn’t want to deal with any interrogation and cause a scene, instead he grabbed your arm to lead you in front. “We’ll talk about it later. For now, you in front until we get to the ship.”
The clan made their way down the marketplace until Din steered the troupe to a vendor with an array of weapons on her stall. You were left admiring the pieces as Din made his business. He needed some information regarding his next bounty and thanked the vendor afterwards, paying a little extra for her cooperation before turning to you.
“What?” You stared up at him with widened eyes.
Din held his hand out, “C’mon.”
You stared at his hand for a moment before sighing, fishing a small bomb out and placing it in his hand. The vendor watched wide eyed but said nothing as Din returned the ware to her and returned his gaze to you. “All of it. I wasn’t born yesterday.”
A moment. Then a sigh as you find that you had no way out of it. You pulled out all of the wares you’d stolen from the stand alone, putting them all on a considerably big pile on the stall while the vendor quickly retrieved them to put away.
“There.” You huffed, crossing your arms and turning away from Din.
“Thank you.” Din’s tone was sarcastic.
“Yeah, no problem rust bucket.”
Din shook his head and turned to the woman, “I’m sorry. My foundling hasn’t broken their habit of stealing. I hope you can understand.”
After he made you apologize to the vendor he took you by your arm and walked you back through the streets and towards the ship. He sighed, “I don’t know why I bring you to the markets. If you don’t stop this you’ll end up stealing from the wrong hand. And then what will you do?”
“Die probably”
---
Din knocked on the door of your sleeping cot. It was early morning and he needed you to help him with some preparations for the next trip off planet.
“Y/N. I need you to help me out with inventory. Can you come out?”
The door made a hiss before opening and you bounced out of the hull and zoomed off, ready to tackle the tasks. You were usually ecstatic to go off-planet, despite Din’s dismay as he knew it meant you’d find yourself into more trouble. He chuckled a moment and was going to walk off when the datapad on your bed caught his attention. He picked it up a moment and gazed at the screen.
You perked up at his voice while you were on your way to the storage below the floorboards. “Kid, what’s this?” He had the screen facing you, showing detailed maps of star destroyers and other military projects.
You gave the screen a glance before disappearing under the floorboards, your voice echoing louder from beneath. “I was just messing around a bit with some channels and found that.”
Din stared at the pit where you were for a moment before walking off into the cockpit, falling into his chair. He found himself facing an unprecedented predicament in which he was faced to call for Bo-Katan to inform her that his foundling had hacked into the Empire’s system.
Tumblr media
“A rock shieldwall Mitachurl with a resistance to cryo,” you murmured to yourself with a satisfied smile, picking up the ominous mask and heavy horn that it dropped from the fight. “No more terrorizing Wangshu for you.”
You had just accepted a bounty handed out to you in Liyue and arranged for the proper party to come pick it up. The rewards were promptly transferred to your tab and you bade the team who came to collect the Mitachurl a swift goodbye.
It wasn’t normally on your daily agenda to hunt bounty for money—though the mora was quite appealing, you couldn’t lie—but when the beasts were too close to civilization and scared both residents and passerbyers in Liyue alike, you felt a greater need to step in. And now, after a job well done with some mora in your pockets, you realized just how tired and hungry that search made you.
Looking up, you saw the peak of the inn from a distance and followed the silk flower-covered path there. It wasn’t often you frequented Wangshu Inn, but you have visited enough to know their Jueyun Chili Chicken and Almond Tofu were pretty solid reasons to drop by again.
Your appearance was rather disheveled from your fight with the Mitachurl but you weren’t too messy-looking—certainly decent enough to interact with other humans you hoped. Smoothing down your clothes and practicing a smile, you headed over to the outdoor dining area and were greeted by a waitress who led you to an empty table as she asked for your order. The exchange was pleasant enough and you were soon left to your own devices once your food swiftly arrived.
It was dark out in Wangshu. The bounty hunt took most of your late afternoon and by now the sun had fully set. The dining area was quiet and empty with only the moon watching over you.
You hummed, taking in a mouthful of the sweet Almond Tofu. The night was nice and peaceful and quiet, just like most of your evenings.
A familiar breeze blew against your face, chilling yet warm. Captivating. There was a faint smell of qingxin, like the flowers you grew fond of during your explorations around Liyue’s stone forests.
The wind was different from what you experienced in Mondstadt. That air was light and playful. Free.
The wind you felt just now, on the other hand, seemed to convey something more wistful. Almost yearning.
And it wasn’t your first encounter with this qingxin-filled breeze either. When you helped comfort Little Luo back in Qingce Village and fended off the pesky Hilichurls on her trail, this wind blew around you and cooled the heat from your cheeks. Around Bubu Pharmacy when you spent time with Qiqi, a zombie you happened to stumble upon one day, you felt the same curious breeze.
Part of you felt like you were being watched over. But not in a bad way. It made you feel safe and protected, yet empowered enough to continue your bold expeditions and help the people of Liyue when you were needed.
The wind stuck around as you finished your meal, the aroma of Almond Tofu wafting through the air from the wandering breeze, almost as if it was seeking a taste. Once your plates were cleared and your drink emptied, you headed inside the inn and hoped they had a spare room on such a short notice and—to your surprise—for once they actually did.
On the way up the stairs, you passed by an open balcony near the top of the inn where you caught a glimpse of a lean figure with dark hair looking up at the night sky. You normally would have walked away from the balcony and left the man to his own devices, promptly going to your rented room to get some much needed rest, but the familiar scent of qingxin flowers dancing in the wind made you freeze mid-step.
Wangshu Inn wasn’t too far from mountain tops where qingxin grew… It could have been a mere coincidence.
But in Liyue, you knew that believing such things could be a coincidence would simply be fooling yourself.
The person on the balcony gave no indication that he felt your gaze, but you knew intuitively that he had already sensed your presence despite not having moved a single inch. His stance was so steady you might have thought he was a statue if not for his teal-tinged hair blowing in the wind.
Could he have been the cause of the qingxin breeze that recently started following you around?
“Hi,” you said gently to more formally announce your presence. On the off-chance he didn’t realize anyone was there, you definitely didn’t want to startle him. But judging by the unsurprised expression on his face as he slowly looked over his shoulder, you sincerely doubted he was one to startle easily. “May I stand here?”
His eyes were scrutinizing but not unkind as they looked you up and down. You took your time examining him as well— From the top of his silky-looking hair to the blue tattoos wrapping around his arms and to the mysterious horned mask hanging from his hip.
“I suppose you may,” he finally replied with a single nod, his voice neither welcoming nor rude.
You stood a few feet away from him, leaning against the wooden balustrades as you let the cool air hit your face. The night was quiet and calm, dimly lit by the moon peeking through the foggy sky. Sighing, your eyes fluttered shut in contentment as you felt the wind soothe the aches from the bounty hunt in your muscles.
You wouldn’t normally let your guard down like this in front of someone you just met, but for some reason you weren’t the least bit on edge. He didn’t seem like a stranger. And you had a feeling that maybe he wasn’t.
“Have we met before?” you found yourself wondering aloud. The mask on his hip looked familiar, though you couldn’t pinpoint exactly why, like you’ve seen it in a book you’ve read. And the air around him certainly felt familiar, though it seemed strange to describe why.
He didn’t respond.
Huffing, you tried a different approach. A more direct one. “Have you been following me?”
His brow raised but he uttered no words.
Was that approach too direct?
After a moment of silence, he said, “Were you not the one who followed me out onto the balcony? If I remember correctly, I was here first.”
“But were you not the one who drew me here with your qingxin-scented breeze?” you shot back, tone more curious than biting.
To your surprise, he said nothing to deny it. “Attentive, I see.”
“I’m not sure it’s quite that I’m attentive rather than you wanting me to know.” You hid a smile. He wouldn’t have made it so obvious otherwise, you were certain of it. For someone who held more power in his little finger than you could possibly fathom, you knew that him alerting you of his existence couldn’t be a mere accident.
“You’re right.” He shrugged. “But it’s not so much that I wanted to call you here than I didn’t mind if you happened to stumble by.”
You ran the palms of your hands over the railings, craning your neck to the side to face him. He was a puzzling creature, giving off the aura of something greater and more powerful than a human. The ominous mask dangling around his hip seemed to serve as a word of caution to indicate a menacing side he hadn’t shown you, but his calm stance and the small tilt of his head made him seem curious—almost inviting.
It was intriguing, to say the least.
“And why did you want me to, as you say, stumble by?” you said. “Not that I mind.”
“I don’t know,” he answered honestly, shaking his head and looking confused himself. “Intuition? I noticed you fighting, helping the people of Liyue. You’re doing a...good job.”
You shrugged, rubbing at the back of your neck as you shied away from his praise. “So you summoned me here to thank me?”
“I don’t know,” he said again, his impassive tone sounding almost frustrated.
At the small frown playing on his lips, you couldn’t help but let a noise of laughter escape you. He gazed at you in question. This whole situation seemed strange and peculiar, straight out of a dream you’d have at random only to forget the next morning. He seemed strange and peculiar, like a figure out of a story book lost in the ruins of Liyue.
And yet you found yourself enjoying this odd encounter.
“Well, Mr. Stranger, since you seem uncertain of so many things still, are you going to continue to have your wind follow me around Liyue until you figure whatever it is out?” you questioned teasingly, not at all minding that prospect.
He glared, looking slightly embarrassed. “It’s not that I was following you. I only sensed someone in need but happened to see you rushing along the way and decided to let you handle it. The less involvement in the affairs of mortals, the better.”
So he wasn’t a mortal himself, you thought, his words confirming your previous suspicions. Still…
“Is that so?” You quirked a brow. “And what is this if not for involvement in the affairs of a mortal?”
He folded his arms and didn’t say a word.
“Let me guess— You don’t know?”
“Hmph.”
You smiled. “Well, I guess it’s okay you don’t know. It’s okay not to know sometimes, you know?”
He blinked. “You aren’t making sense.”
“And you are?” you retaliated. “I still don’t know who you are or anything about you yet. But… I know you smell like qingxin flowers and feel like a cooling breeze. And I know that I rather enjoy it.”
The mysterious entity looked out into the mountain scenery, gloved hand resting on the dark balustrade. He seemed both lost in thought and completely aware of his physical surroundings at the same time. Suddenly, he spoke up.
“Xiao.”
Your gaze met his as he nodded once. “Xiao?”
“My name. Now you know who I am.”
You laughed, startled by how blunt he was. “I guess you’re right. Nice to meet you Xiao.”
“Hm.” Xiao waited one moment before he asked, “Do you plan to keep exploring Liyue?”
At his question, you briefly considered your options for the near future. You liked Liyue and there was so much you had left to see. Was it like home to you? No— Not yet anyway, though it could be if the situation was right. But that didn’t mean you wanted to leave just yet.
Not when you may have found a reason you would want to stay.
“For the time being, yes.”
He nodded in satisfaction. “That’s good. You being there to help the people of Liyue means less involvement with mortal affairs for me.”
Though his tone was haughty, he didn’t seem like he actually minded what he considered mortal affairs. If he did, why would he be so alert when he sensed people in need?
“And, if you ever need assistance during your ventures, I’ll be there.”
Xiao’s words comforted you as you looked at him, his hair blowing in the wind. Maybe one day you could reach out and touch it. But not today.
You sensed this meeting was about to end. The breeze picked up and you could feel him getting ready to leave. Whether he was going to leave to go to bed or leave the mortal world, you weren’t sure. But you would rather treasure this encounter than dwell on an inevitable—and hopefully temporary—farewell.
“Thank you, Xiao. And if you ever need assistance with...whatever it is you do, I’ll be there too!” you said confidently. “As I’m sure you’ve seen, I’m pretty handy at weilding a sword myself.” You doubted he would ever need much help in the physical or martial department. “Or, I could simply lend an ear as well.”
It happened so fast, you weren’t sure if it was actually there, or if your eyes were playing tricks on you— Xiao smiled. At least, you thought he did. But in the mere blink of an eye, it was gone.
Still, you don’t think you would ever forget that peaceful image no matter how hard you tried. Not that you wanted to.
Sensing the night coming to an end, you asked, “When will I be able to see you like this again?”
He paused. “In this human form, you mean?”
You nodded, though you figured the answer would be those three familiar words he had said many times tonight.
“I don’t know.”
A wry smile played on your lips. Knew it.
“The mortal realm is not where I naturally belong,” explained Xiao, amber eyes glowing brighter than the moon in the sky. “But I will meet you again in this state soon.”
The scent of qingxin grew stronger as the wind picked up. His skin grew paler, almost translucent as he met your gaze one last time for the night.
“Even if it takes time, at least the wind will tell me when you’re near.” You smiled, raising your hand in a wave. “Goodnight, Xiao.”
“Sleep well, traveller.”
And in your dreams that night, with qingxin in the air, you felt contentment and serenity in ways you never had before. You would see the entrancing being who called himself Xiao again. Soon. But you had the wind to keep you company while in wait.
Remember that Beast!Reader fic with the yandere prince? I loved that one! Can I please request ‘Tears’ from your prompt list for this please?
I was thinking that maybe a few years pass by while the reader is still stuck in beast form, but during that time the person appointed as an alternative caretaker for the reader (obviously the prince can’t be around ALL the time if he has to maintain his kingdom and keep up his image) slowly starts forming a friendly relationship and with even something as small as a forehead kiss to the beast, it is enough to break the curse. But the two don’t get enough time to celebrate before the prince barges in👀
I’m uncomfortable with nsfw and anything too sexual but I enjoy the creepiness and horror that follows a yandere character so I hope you can write it like that please😭🥺 Oh! And please let there be some hope that the reader will either be saved or she saves herself. Even better if the reader decides that she wants to save herself and the boy who broke her curse🤩
Thank you! So sorry if I’m requesting a lot😭🙏
Oh, my sweet little anons, when was the last time I gave you a happy end, huh? But thanks for requesting a continuation, I am glad you all enjoyed it so much ^-^ What a good idea you had there!
Tears - “Sweetie, don’t cry.. they didn’t love you as much as I did.. I’ll help you over the heart break.”
»»———————— ♡ ————————««
Panting, you urged your legs forward, always one step further than you made at a time. The chilly night air burnt in your lungs, and your bare feet were icy and wet from the forest ground, but neither you nor the person holding your hand so gently in his thought about stopping. Only wrapped in a big rag, you should have been cold, but when he squeezed your hand encouragingly, you believed you could manage it all.
It hadn’t been too long since you started your way on foot down the hill the old castle sat upon. Sooner or later, the prince would find out you escaped, and surely, they would also notice your Beloved having fled the scene. There had been no reason for him to stay. Losing you was enough to get sentenced to death, his lifeless body thrown into a bog rather than buried. So why wouldn’t he leave with you? There certainly was no reason for him to stay in the wretched service of the king.
But sooner or later, they would come for you, that much was sure.
So, you two had to hurry, but even so, you couldn’t keep from smiling, especially when he looked back over his shoulder, his warm, green eyes shining without any regrets. You two had known each other far too little, but he never once hesitated to show you his affection for you, even when you still were the hideous atrocity that you had turned into to escape the prince for the first time.
Perhaps, everything that happened was fate. Even if it had been harsh and awful, it happened so that you two could meet and start a better life together somewhere new. Even if you wished now that you two could have met under different circumstances, now, you didn’t regret your life from before anymore. Now, you could simply look ahead to the future that waited for you.
Or so you thought; you should have known better.
The soaring of arrows pierced through the silence of the night. One hit the bark of the tree before you, fire spreading from its alcohol-soaked peak. Your eye widened, as did you’re companions, and you soon found yourself ducking as another one flew over your heads.
You couldn’t spare a second to look back over your shoulder as you two urged onwards, picking up the pace. Your legs were tired and shaking, but you knew that you had to go faster and faster, or else you or he would get hit. It were moments like these in which you wished you were still a beast. One which could run faster than any arrow. One that could fight and protect what was important to you. But that was no longer, true love’s kiss having sealed that specific fate already.
It was too late when you realized that the arrows so far had not been to stop you two from getting away. Instead, as they began to light up tree after tree, you realized they were there to banish the secrecy of the forest and make the dark disappear. At the same time, they made you two run into the directions your followers wanted you to go. If you looked back now, you knew who you’d see, no robbers smart enough to roam the forest around the prince’s castle, so there really was no reason for any other armed party to hunt you down.
And yet, you did, too afraid that if you didn’t, things would go way worse.
The moment you looked over your shoulder, another arrow flew past you, grazing your cheek. You knew where it would hit way before your companion cried out in pain, his hand letting go of yours as a reflex. He sank to his knee for a moment, cursing under his breath as you hurried to his side, seeing the arrow lodged in his shoulder. “Oh god,” you stammered as you sank next to him, hands hovering over the wound. “W-We can fix it, I’m sure, we just have to--!”
“There’s no time!” he interrupted you firmly as if he hadn’t just been shot with an arrow. Without wasting even another second, he got up again, grabbed you by the wrist, and moved forward. You caught a glimpse at his face, determination brimming from his features, but pearls of sweat collected at his forehead. He was clearly in pain, showing it in the way he held his own shoulder with his free hand, but he hadn’t given up yet. He would move on until you two were safe, and though you sympathized with his pain, you were so thankful he didn’t give up yet.
You two ran as fast as you could, but soon you couldn’t ignore the sound of armor behind you anymore, hooves trotting closer while torches lit up the forest more and more. It was almost spooky that no words were muttered, and you expected someone to call orders every now and then, but you had seen the clothes of your followers briefly; you knew who they were. The prince’s guards, clad in the finest silver and trained to the point of being nothing more than human dogs. They ceased speaking if not absolutely necessary, their eyes were soulless, and their hearts without a hint of benevolence. Them being after you could only mean one thing.
The prince wanted you back.
Another arrow getting stuck in the tree you just passed. You knew everything they did wasn’t fun but coldly calculated tactics. They wouldn’t hurt you. They couldn’t. Your cheek bleeding would probably cause one of them to get degraded to a chair for three months at least, so they really couldn’t afford to hurt you more seriously. But they did know who they could hurt you with. Someone whose pain would hurt you more than your own.
The next arrow missed completely, lost in the leaves on the ground. You two were running out of all the adrenaline you had, slowly and surely having exhaustion catch up to you. No! Please no! You begged the entities above that this wouldn’t be the end! There was so much more to live for, so much to see and experience! You wanted to be with your former caretaker, the only one who ever took you and your feelings seriously enough. You two could build a house and keep far away from the hustle and bustle of the cities, farming and taking care of livestock until the end of time. So please! Don’t let this be the end of it!
However, against your expectations, the one to collapse first was him. This time, the arrows didn’t miss, one hitting him in the lower back, one scarily close to his spine. Teardrops pearled from your cheeks as you fell into to mud with him, your hands scrapping along the roots and stones of the ground as you crawled back to where he laid, softly whimpering. Reaching for an arrow, you wanted to pull it out in desperation, but he began to cry out in pain before you could even start pulling.
“LEAVE!” he screamed. “LEAVE AND RUN!”
You couldn’t hold back the sobs hearing these words. “Please...” his hand reached for yours as he tried his best to look up to you. “Go, find a safe place to hide! Leave for another country and never come back!”
“No...” you sobbed, bringing one hand covered in mud and blood to your face. “I don’t want to leave you...”
“They are after you, not me,” he tried to reassure you, but you knew better. The sounds of their heavy footsteps drew closer and closer, and finding him, they wouldn’t hesitate to kill this ‘traitor’. If you went, then he’d die. But if you stayed and got caught, he’d die as well. No choice you could make would end happily for the both of you. “Please, go. I want you to-- ARGH!” Interrupted by his own scream, you began to panic, calling his name and shaking his arm, only to look up as a shadow was cast over you.
“[Name],” the prince sighed, relief showing in his face. He had this small, exhausted smile on his lips, happiness in his features as he looked at you. However, the moment he looked down at your companion, his face began to contort into a hateful grimace, his leg lifting once more to give your Beloved’s back a not-so-gentle kick. “No! Stop!” you cried, latching onto his leg as the kicks came down, your partner’s screams echoing through the forest.
“Don’t worry, I will get rid of the scoundrel who kidnapped you. I will save you! Just like I always do!”
“No! You’re hurting him! Stop it! Please... Please stop!”
Never had you imagined that you’d ever find yourself so low again that you’d beg the prince for something. Before, it had been for your life, but now, it was for the life of the only person that really mattered to you. “Oh, Sweetheart,” the prince cooed, his fingers finding their way under your chin, pulling your face up to meet his eyes. “Don’t cry... he didn’t love you as much as I do. I’ll help you over the heartbreak once we’re done here.”
The prince let go roughly as he pulled his sword from his sheath as you fell to the ground next to your partner. For a moment, time seemed to stop as you stood up in a matter of seconds. Panicked, you decided to throw yourself in front of the sword instead, but a hand grabbed yours before you could. Looking down at your Beloved, smiling warmly and encouraging as he muttered the final words you’d hear from him.
“Go.”
It was like he set you free, even if your definition of free originally included him. “Eh, Darling?!” you heard as you took off in a second spurt of adrenaline, the prince screaming your name after you. But your mind completely shut off the moment you passed the last lit-up arrow, sinking back into the darkness. Everything was blurry, your vision stained with your tears that wouldn’t go away no matter how much you rubbed your eyes with your dirty hands.
Your feet must have started bleeding as you kept running faster and faster, but you gave them no mind, not even feeling the pain. All you felt was the wound in your throbbing heart, something that the prince couldn’t heal no matter how much he believed he could. You wanted to understand your former caretaker’s action, telling you to go rather than defend him. If you had been in his place, surely, you had done the same. But it was as if you were the one who got betrayed by yourself by running away. By giving up on something hopeless, you felt like you were betraying everything you had ever stand for. How pathetic you were, running, trying to get the better future you had hoped to build with him.
Next thing you knew, you stumbled as the ground gave away to a slope before you, your body tumbling down the wet leaves and sturdy roots, your skim getting scratched by the branches of bushes all around you. It was pure luck that your fingers closed around one big tree root the moment they did; otherwise, you surely would have fallen from the cliff that opened up beneath you, instead of just hanging on to it now.
Only now your ears regained their function, the rushing of waves sounding far too deep and far too rough beneath you as to simply be a river. Had you run all the way to the shore? Was it the big sea beneath you? Either it had been closer than you thought, or you did develop some superhuman abilities after changing into a beast.
Groaning, you tried to pull yourself back over the edge, the slightly forward-leaning stone not being any help in rescuing yourself. Even more so, you had to realize the light of torches drawing closer and closer by the second, while you still struggled to escape the death by falling into the unruly water from a great height.
“[Name]!” you heard the screech of your name, genuine worry resounding from it. The prince’s face was the last thing you wanted to see, especially as he looked so damn horrified at the sight of you barely holding on to the cliff. “Don’t move! I’ll pull you up!” he called as he slit down the slope as best as he could without falling himself until he reached you. It was strange. You should have been happy that you wouldn’t be dying. That someone would save you from this horrific fate.
But all you felt was pure despair.
If he pulled you up, then that would be it. He’d take you back, lock you up again and do as he pleased with you. Who knew if you’d ever get a chance on escaping again, especially if he made an example out of your previous companion about what would happen if anyone ever helped you. You’d have nothing left but to live your life as a mere plaything, captured by the prince that was so beloved by everyone, and you didn’t want to think about all the things he’d do to you now that you were human again.
His hands reached out, and you noticed them faintly in your vision. Your decision fell only seconds before he could grab you by the arms. It was too dark to see, too dark to even speculate how deep it was, but you decided it was better than becoming an empty shell of a person if you stayed with the prince.
No matter what would await you in the depths down below, it couldn’t be worse than being a subject to his twisted, self-righteous love, you decide. Letting go was easier than you thought, making you realize your body must understand this situation very well even if it might cost it its life. The face of the prince as you slipped from his grasp was a priceless last sight to see before you closed your eyes, awaiting the inevitable.
Until your back hit the water, engulfing you wholly like the hungry, desperate maw of an animal. Deeper and deeper until it was everywhere, and only then you opened your eyes again for one last glimpse of the blurred light above.
part 1 here.
You stirred awake as the sun crept onto the bare back of the man you clung to. His arm was draped over you, chest heaving softly. You looked up at him. Even while he slept he was gorgeous. You could only imagine what you looked like right now. Your brain flashed back to everything that happened the night before.
He fucked you. Spectacularly well.
You did your best to slip from underneath his grasp without waking him. Slowly but surely, you released yourself from his grip. You didn’t think he’d be a heavy sleeper.
Your feet lightly touched the carpet and you crept towards bathroom. Immediately, pristine and cool tiles laid beneath you as you fathomed over his personal bathing space. You looked around before finding your reflection over the bathroom sink.
“Look what he did to me.” You panic, hickeys panted your neck and chest. You ran your fingertips over the bruised skin.
“I was so into it, I didn’t even think to ask him not to leave any marks.” You whisper quietly as you facepalm yourself.
You used the bathroom and washed your hands promptly before peaking out the door at the beast in his bed. He was still fast asleep, snoring just barely.
What a fucking princess, you thought. He remained beautiful even in slumber. His hair was disheveled a bit, but he was still gorgeous.
You crept back into bed, wanting to slide beneath his arms again without waking him.
You pouted, laying on your side of the bed neutrally and watching him rest. You couldn’t even attempt to go back to sleep- you couldn’t stop looking at him. You liked this quieter version of him so much. It was almost hard for you to come to terms with the fact of what he was capable of in bed. The things he had already done to you made your face hot.
And then you remembered your declaration of how good the sex was, telling him you’d come back soon. You felt out of your mind. You covered your face from utter embarrassment. Of course you wanted to see him again, but it ticked you off a bit that he predicted that it’d be this way.
Pulling your hands down halfway across your face, your eyes laid on his sleeping frame. You still couldn’t fathom why he liked you. You’d be sure to ask him why later. You could only imagine what dating him would be like. Would he pick you up from work? Did he have siblings for you to meet? What were his favorite foods- and did you even know how to make them?
What was the actual deal with his eyes? Your glance pivoted towards his long white eyelashes. Would he eventually tell you everything? Would he be willing to?
When you instinctively found yourself bringing a hand to touch his face his eyes shot open.
“Boo!”
You jumped, nearly falling backwards off the bed as a loud shriek fell from you lips.
“What is wrong with you?” You clutched your chest as he let out a deep laugh.
“You stare a lot. I could feel your eyes burning a hole through my body.” He finally said after his good laugh, sitting up.
“I can’t help it.” You said, sucking both your lips into a line. You bit down shyly as you gripped the ends of the t-shirt you wore.
“I never said I minded.” He slid closer to you.
“Wow, you’re even cute with bed hair.” He added.
“How long have you been awake?” You blush, changing the subject.
“Since you left me all alone to go potty.” He pouted. Your eye twitched.
“You creep!” You say, clutching a pillow and swinging it at him.
“I was hoping you were going to cuddle with me again, but then you just laid there ogling at me. Again, I don’t blame you.” He said, bringing a thumb to your chin. You could’ve rolled your eyes, but he was so close all you could think about was him kissing you again. You hoped he would, you were antsy and yearning for a repeat of the prior night’s events.
“What?” You finally said, anxiously breaking the silence.
He blinked softly at you before speaking, “How sweet do you like your coffee?”
You blinked a few times, earning a grin from him.
“I- Sweet enough?” You blurted. Your mind had wandered off just from him getting close to you like that. “Two sugars I guess, and whatever creamer you’ve got works.”
“I tend to go a bit overboard. So I’ll let you add the stuff you like.” He chuckled, slipping out of the bed.
“Let me get you some stuff.” He walked towards the linen closet. You could see him in the hallway from the bedroom. He came back with a tooth brush and towel.
“Everything else is in the bathroom.” He said, handing you the toiletries.
“Thanks a lot.” You say, getting up on your feet. You hugged the towel to your chest.
“Holler if you need me. Unless you wanna shower together-
“No.” You say, skidding past him. You walked down the hall, feeling a little shy to shower in his master bathroom.
“Aww, you’re breaking my heart (Name)-chan.”  He called out.
“You’ll survive.” You say, you could feel his eyes on you as you nervously stepped into the other bathroom.
“I can help you figure out how to turn on the water~”
“I can manage~” You sing back, shutting the door.
He’s got all his stuff in the other bathroom, you thought. You placed the towel and toothbrush on the sink counter.
“I’ll give him a little space.” You needed a little bit too, you felt frantic at the idea of bathing with him. You had no idea why that felt too intimate and steamy for you. The idea of him bathing you, sudsing your slippery wet body- you knew you were going to fold and let him fuck you if he tried. That or you’d initiate it yourself.
But it was probably the inevitable sweetness that would follow afterwards that scared you mostly. How playful you knew he would be as he bathed you after you both would cum. He’d probably give you kisses and make fun of you and your inability to stop looking so cute and embarrassed all the time.
Were you ready for intimacy like that? To make you fall in love with him? Heck, you briefly remember him telling you that you might fall for him when he was sexing you hours ago.
You patted your face with your palms repeatedly.
“You’re thinking too much.” You said to yourself before, looking into the large bathroom mirror.
“I be he’s not overthinking at all. He’s probably nonchalant as fuck right now.” You whispered, finding the toothpaste. You brushed your teeth promptly before removing your shirt. You slid the shower door open and stepped inside, fiddling with the knobs for the right temperature. There were soaps you were and weren’t familiar with.
Does he really live alone? You found it hard to believe that he was this attractive and single.
Maybe some women can’t take his vain personality, you thought.
After what felt like a long shower from contemplating your decisions from the night prior, you exited the bathroom. You clutched the towel around your damp body as you walked back into his bedroom. You could hear him in the shower, but you saw he had laid out clothes on the bed.
“Those are for you.” He called out, making you jump. You didn’t realize he heard you walk into the bedroom.
You stared at the matching hoodie and sweatpants on the bed. He was perfectly content with lending you his clothes and that made your chest warm.
You found your bra and put it on. You wished you had fresh underwear, but at the same time you’d probably throw up in your mouth a bit if he had that to give to you too.
You slid on the gray sweat pants, tying the jaw string as tight as you could around your waist so they’d fit. Followed by the hoodie, you pulled your hair out the hem of it and looked in the mirror attempting to primp yourself up the best you could. Why does wearing this make it feel like I’m his girlfriend, you thought.
He had good taste in clothes, you hoped this wasn’t his favorite.
“The slides are for you, too.” You heard him say in the doorway. His hair was still dripping wet but out of his of his face and pushed back.  He gripped the towel around his torso before walking up to one of his drawers.
“What slides- oh.” You peer down at the black sandals beside the bed.
“I’ve got socks for you, too. You’re about to look like a little me~” He cooed. He seemed happy to dress you up and you stood there awkwardly, cheeks red.
“Thanks. I was fine with going home in my dress though.”
“I was too. You looked so good in it.” He said, walking over and handing you a pair of socks. “But I also want you to be comfortable.”
“I’ll be sure to give them back.” You said nervously, bawling your fists under the long lengths of your sleeves.
“The sooner I get to see you again, the better.” He says smugly, closing the space between you both.
“What is it that you like about me exactly?” You look up at him.
“You’re even more direct in the day time.” He said, nearly brushing his nose against yours.
“I’m serious.” You say through crimson cheeks.
“I just gave you one reason.” He laughs, throwing his head back. “I like how forward you are, too. It’s tasteful, so it doesn’t feel like I’m talking to a brick.”
“Mhmm,” you crossed your arms, coaxing him to go on.
“You’re super adorable. Seriously, you haven’t stopped blushing at me. I could make fun of you forever. And you take the teasing so well so far. It’s kind of hard for people to deal with my overbearing personality sometimes.”
“The list can and will be endless... if you let me take you to dinner this weekend.”
“I- wow..” you stutter. He really seemed to genuinely like you. You didn’t find his personality overbearing in the slightest. In fact, to you it made him more attractive. And the fact that he was able to turn it off at the right moments to convey that he is thinking of you made your heart swell.
“Did you not expect me to ask you right away?”
“I did not.”
He let out another laugh.
“Unless you have plans, or work. Let me know. I can work around it.”
“I think I can fit you into my schedule.” You shoot back one of his signature smug smiles.
“You’re for real becoming a mini me.” He said, wrapping his arms around you.
“You’re gonna get me all wet.” You say as some of his damp strands press against your forehead.
“Honey, I do that already.” His voice low, pressing his lips against yours. You had wanted him to kiss you so bad, you were so happy he initiated it. You brought a hand into his wet tresses, pressing him into the kiss. He moaned against your mouth as he brought one of his large hands to grab your ass, squeezing firmly.
You did a little yelp into his mouth before pulling away, “Your dick is stabbing me in the stomach.”
“Oops,” He said, before pressing a quick kiss against your lips. He let go of you, before pulling his towel off his lower half, drying his hair a bit more throughly.
“Let me get dressed, and then I’ll make you breakfast. Or we could go out. Your pick.” He said.
“You aren’t the least bit shy, are you?” You say as your gaze drops to his member.
“Maybe I was in grade school. There are some things you grow out of.” He said, turning his body and walking towards his closet.
“For most people, this is not one of them.” You turn away, walking out the door and giving him the privacy he didn’t even ask for.
“(Name)-chan, maybe I wanted to put on a show for you.” He called out.
“Get dressed.” You found your way to his living room, plopping your body on the suede couch. Everything was too nice, and you did your best not to touch anything while your eyes ogled around the place. You could see some antiques plastered with his last name on the shelves.
So he really is a big shot, you thought. You’d heard briefly of the Gojo family’s financial successes but nothing more. It sort of explains his personality, but there were plenty of things still left unanswered.
He had pictures of himself all around going places with family and friends. You looked at some of the women in the photos, wondering if he had dated any of them or if they were relatives. This one photo in particular caught your eye. He was wearing a blindfold, smiling the biggest smile beside three awkward looking teenagers in private school uniforms. This looks recent, you think.
Right beneath it were three people in another photo- him being on the left wearing dark sunglasses and a small brunette girl in the middle. The third person to the right was male and almost as tall as him, with dark hair and black piercings. He has to be in high school here, you thought.
He didn’t change much, he still looked like a cocky bastard. You smiled a soft smile. He’s still a likable person if you can adapt well to his personality.
“I’m like 17 in that one.” His voice rang from behind you. You spun your head around. He had on an outfit similar to yours, with a black hoodie instead.
“How old are you now?” You ask, realizing you had no idea how old he was.
“28.” He said, walking through the open space towards the kitchen. Your mouth could’ve dropped, panning back towards the photo and towards him again.
“You look the same. Maybe a little taller? But the exact same.” You turn your body, draping your elbow over the couch to watch him as he fiddled through his cabinets.
“I’ve got good genes. The kids will be gorgeous.” He says slyly, placing two mugs on the counter. You roll your eyes, bringing yourself to your feet. You stride towards the kitchen, watching him pour the coffee into both mugs.
“That smells so good.” You say, swooning at the scent. He slid your mug towards you as you watched him toss several sugar cubes into his coffee.
Your eye twitches, “Is that really necessary?”
“You’ve been drinking coffee wrong your entire life I see.” He says casually, dumping more cubes into his cup. He finally mixes in the creamer before taking a sip.
“Fuck yes.” He breathes out.
“Major crackhead energy.” You laugh, putting normal amounts of cubes into your own cup.
“Don’t knock it til you try it.” He says, bringing his mug towards your lips. Your take hold of thing, but he’s not letting go. You think he’s enjoying your fingers touching his while you press your lips onto the edge of his cup. You take a sip before stepping back immediately wincing. He laughs deeply at you before putting the cup back to his own lips and taking a sip.
“You’re an actual crackhead-“ You scrunch your lips, “-what kind of manic sweet tooth, what the fuck?!”
He laughing heavier now, leaning on the counter.
“8.9/10.” You scoff, pertaining to his review you gave him earlier. He laughs harder.
“You’re too funny.” He raised his head, wiping a  tear.
“I’ll gain the points back.” He flirted back through his chuckles.
You couldn’t help but smile at him. What a kiddish trait, it’s cute, you thought.
“Now, another question.” He managed to say, laughter finally subsiding. “How do you like your eggs?”
“Surprise me.” You say, sliding around to sit on the stool behind the island.
And with that he cooked you breakfast. The entire experience felt like a dream. You didn’t want to go back home. But you were sure your friends were wondering how your night was. You had your own life, but you were aching for him to be apart of it. You wondered what his world was like. Surely this was just a minuscule part of his week but what did he do for fun, what were his hobbies or favorite TV shows, does he stay up late or not? You wondered if he likes to sleep with the cool air on all the time. What were his turn ons and turn offs, and so much more.
You were starting to romanticize him a bit too much, and you’d be petrified if he could tell what you were thinking.
“That was delicious.” You say, eyes on his back as he placed the last dish in the dish rack.
“I’m a man who loves to please his guests.” He leant back on the sink, drying his hands. Just as he was about to speak his phone rang. He scooped it out of his pocket, picking it up.
“Good morning~” He sung. You pouted a bit, wondering if he was that cheery with everyone. He walked off, mouthing at you that he’d be right back.
You swung your legs on the stool, slouching a bit. Before you could continue feeling jealous of who was on the phone, he came back out, shoving his phone in his pocket.
“Well, that was work.” He let out a heavy sigh.
“Is everything okay?” You ask, turning your bum in the seat towards him.
“Not exactly. There’s a little emergency. So I’ve gotta bring you home now.” He says nonchalantly.
“Oh, okay. It’s alright.” You bawl your fists, feeling a bit disappointed. You were going home anyway but you wanted the moment to last as long as it could.
“I’m sorry.” He says, walking up to you in your chair, bringing a thumb to your chin. He tilted your head before speaking again.
“So I’m a teacher and I have to go check on one of my students. He’s not looking so good.” He sounded a little more happy than upset saying this. You cocked your eyebrow, happy he was finally laying some truth on you but slightly weirded out by his tone.
“He’s a bit of weird kid. He’s got a knack for getting himself in some odd situations. But he’s got potential. I believe in him.” He says, making you relax a little. You hoped the situation wasn’t dire- he wasn’t acting like it was anyways.
You nodded, realizing maybe it was one of the kids you saw in the photos.
“That’s really sweet.” You smile, rubbing your hands between your thighs.
“Let’s get your things. You need another bag for your clothes?” You nod. He was incredibly thoughtful.
Quickly after with your belongings in hand you follow him towards his front door. You watched him put on the darkest shade of sunglasses before grinning at you. Your heart was swelling, he looked so good you desperately wanted him to be yours. Your eyes dropped to your feet, trying to hide the high color on the apples of your cheeks.
“The cutest.” He said, pulling your chin up and pressing his lips against yours. “Don’t look so down. We’ll have more time together soon.”
You puffed up your cheeks before letting out a sarcastic sigh, rolling your eyes. All you wanted was to throw your arms around him, get naked and back in the bed. You briefly remembered that you had things to do today as well. Adulting is annoying, you thought.
“I want another kiss.” You were so whipped.
He obliged, pressing another sweet and delicate kiss to your lips.
“I’d give you some tongue but then I’d get worked up again.” You could see the sweet stare in his eyes when he a bent down over his shades.
“Mhmmm, and you don’t want to be late.” You say, using your hands to feel up on his chest.
“I’m now noticing you’re quite the tease, (Name).”
“Hmmm,” You say, flipping your hair. “That’s rich coming from you.”
You brazenly moved past him and opened the door. He passed his tongue over his lips.
He could get used to this.
******
You were back to your regular schedule. Everything felt somewhat mundane without him. You had only spent a few hours with him, but it was magical. Your head was empty aside from him constantly echoing in it whenever you spaced out. Your friends could tell he had done it to you. Completely and utterly entranced by him, you were at work doodling things when you should’ve been working, texting him when you shouldn’t have been texting, even fawning over him when you should’ve been sleeping.
It had been a few days since you last saw him. You didn’t dare call him. Instead, a lot of texting throughout the day. You were falling asleep with your phone in your hands at 3AM- yeah you had it bad. Of course he was busy, and your brain had been doing whirl winds thinking he simply didn’t want to talk to you at some moments, only to be bombarded with more texts of him explaining his whereabouts hours later.
On his end of things, he couldn’t stop thinking about you these past few days. Your voice played endlessly in his head. Things you would say and your sweet moans- all of them on repeat. His students could tell he was more chipper than usual (if that’s even possible) but somehow quieter and more deep in thought during some instances.
He couldn’t rid the thought of you from his brain. Your lips, the way you said his name. You were so delicate. He was anxious to call you but he was often tired after his long work day and dealing with his students. He sent you as many texts as he could. As soon as he was finally able to get back to you you were already fast asleep. He wanted you to call him so badly. He was confused as to why you didn’t.
You had just gotten home from work, fresh out the shower. You were doing your usual routine when you heard your phone go off. You nearly leapt towards your bed, towel nearly falling off your body.
You unlocked your phone to find a text from Satoru. You couldn’t stop grinning at the screen.
‘Hey sweets 😌❤️’
You anxiously tapped your fingers away, attempting to say hi and ask him what he was doing before your phone rang. You squealed, dropping the device onto to the bed.
“He’s calling me. He’s fucking calling me.”
You panicked, sliding up the bed away from your phone like it was some sort of cursed scroll. It may not have seemed like a big deal to some considering you slept with the man less than 72 hours prior. But he had never called you before, things felt so backwards. You really were crushing on him.
Realizing the phone had been ringing for too long, you crawled over to pick it up.
“Hello?” You said, holding the phone up to your ear.
“Heyy~” He sung. You could feel yourself getting weak in the knees.
“Hey.” You say casually, succeeding at hiding your nervousness.
“You’re off work right? What are you up to right now?” He asked. The background sounded quiet, you couldn’t guess where he was.
“Yeah. I got off a while ago. I just got out the shower.” You say, gripping your towel. You laid back on your bed, holding the phone to your ear.
“Nice, me too. I was wondering if you wanted to go grab something to eat. I’m starving right now.” He chirped.
Right now? He wanted to see you? Your were eager to say yes, scream yes, into the phone.
“You can’t wait til the weekend, star boy?” You tease.
“I like that name. We’re doing nicknames now?”
“You’ve been calling me sweetie, cutie, honey- I’m just getting started.”
“You can call me all the names you want tonight if you come get dinner with me.” He says.
“Definitely.” You say, excitedly swinging your legs above your body.
“Great, I’m outside.”
“What?”
“Parked out front.”
“What the...” you pull the phone from your ear, and walk towards the window angled towards the front of your house. There his car was, double parked in the street.
“What the hell?!” You exclaimed.
“You’re mad.” You say, letting out the loudest laugh. “What were you gonna do if I said no?”
“I knew you’d say yes. You miss me bad don’t you?”
You couldn’t deny it. You let out a flirty and sarcastic sigh and when silence filled the phone line soon after, he quickly followed up with,
“Cause I miss you real bad right now.”
You held your head with your free hand, a complete and utter blushing mess.
“I’ll be down in 10 minutes.”
“That’s what I like to hear. And it’s casual wear, so don’t stress.” He says smugly into the phone. How could you not stress?
You give him an ‘okay’ before hanging up and grabbing the nearest pillow, screaming into it. You swung your head back, letting out a loud, nervous breath.
He’s so crazy, you thought, smiling and holding your towel to your chest.
You quickly got dressed, finding your best booty hugging jeans and long sleeved v-neck ribbed shirt. You lightly did your makeup, and fixed your hair. You spritz yourself with your favorite scents and looked in the mirror.
“He’s so inconsiderate.” You say this but you can’t stop grinning. You throw a light jacket over your arm before sprinting to your front door, checking yourself in the mirror once more. You lock your door before attempting to casually walk to his car like you weren’t just in panic.
You open the door, sliding into the passenger seat.
“Hey,” you say, placing your jacket and purse on your lap.
“Damn, you look good.” He turned towards you, lip between his teeth whilst he grinned.
“Thank you.” You say, getting a good look at him. He had on blue, lightly distressed jeans and a sherpa lined jean jacket. He had a cool grey shirt underneath and another dark pair of shades encased in silver templates that helped push his hair back.
He had absolutely no right to look that good.
“You look good too,” You say, sliding some hair behind your ears.
“Thanks, sweetie.” He said, leaning over. He was centimeters from your face, breath panting over your lips. His eyes fixated on yours. You almost closed your eyelids in anticipation waiting for a kiss.
His arm reached past you, pulling your seatbelt over your body and fastening it.
“Safety first.” He said cheekily. This motherfucker.
“You thought I was gonna kiss you?” He smirked, leaning back in his seat.
“Shut up. Where are we eating?” You huff.  He got you good.
“I was thinking BBQ.” He chuckled back.
“Unless you have a taste for somewhere else, I’m down for whatever if they have desserts.”
“BBQ works.” You say as he starts the car.
“Then I know just the place. It’s nice and low key, not too far from here. And they’re known for having the best ginger beer. The sweetest I’ve ever tasted.”
“Sounds good.” You smile, watching him turn on the radio.
“And more importantly, how was your day?” He  panned his cerulean eyes towards you for just moment asking this, then back at the road.
“It was good. Nothing stressful, it was normal. How about you?”
“I’m glad.” He says. “My day was mediocre. I sent my students off early. They’ve been working their butts off. I figured they deserved it.”
“I get the feeling you wanted to slack off a little too, hence you finding the time to be here with me right now.” You teased.
“You could say that. I told you I missed you.” He reaches over, placing his large hand over yours. You tense up, not expecting him to display such a romantic gesture.
“Too much?” He asks.
“Not at all...” Your voice barely audible and fading under the music, but he heard it.
“Good.” He entwined his fingers over yours, massaging your knuckles with his thumb. The very sensation sends chills up your arms before your body relaxes. Not him making you melt from a simple hand hold.
Your heart was boucing against your rib cage.  You prayed your palms wouldn’t start sweating underneath his warm hand. You bit back a smile as you both rode in comfortable silence.
“I hope you know dinner is still on this weekend.” He speaks up.
“It better be.” You say. “You still have time to improve your rating, especially after the atrocious coffee from the other day.”
He laughs lightly, “was it that bad?”
“Bad is too generous.”
“I bet you eat saltines when you’re craving.” He rolled his eyes.
“Just because your coffee is too sweet does not mean I’m one of those people who like saltines.”
“It actually does.”
“It does not.”
“I bet you eat the regular corn flakes with the green rooster on it too, don’t you?”
“I do no-
“You do. That’s the only possible explanation for your bland tongue.”
“I bet you’re one of those kids who used to eat sugar straight out of the packets at restaurants when you went out with your parents.”
“Spot on.” He cackled. His laugh was so contagious, you found yourself throwing your head back as well.
Not long after, he pulled into an empty space. When he let go of your hand to park, you pouted.
“We’re here?” You ask. He hummed in response.
“That was fast.” You say.
“That’s what happens when you spend time with someone like me.” The smile he shoots you makes you feel sick- in a good way.
He gets out and walks around the car to open the door for you. He takes hold of your hand as you get up and shut the door.
He intertwines his fingers with yours as you walk towards the restaurant. You weren’t this nervous the first time you both were this close. You could feel your chest swelling and hands getting a bit clammy as you looked up at him.
“You’re gonna love this place. My top 5 places to eat in Tokyo. Did I mention the music is great too?” He said, pulling down his shades, much to your disappointment.
“Nope. Looks trendy.” You say, peering through the glass as you both walked inside. He squeezes your hand playfully, grabbing your attention.
“This is just one of many places I’ll take you.” He caught himself lost in your eyes for a second before grunting a bit.
“If you want that, that is.”
“I do.” You say, quickly making it evident you truly did like him back. You’re twinkling to him in that moment, gracing him with the most precious smile he’s ever received.
And for the first time in a long time, Gojo Satoru’s heart skipped a beat.
“Are you okay?” You quiz. He had been staring at you for a little too long.
“Yeah, I’m good.” He said. “You’re just really cute.”
“Falling for me?” You said it thinking it was something he would say but his reaction was a little different then you expected.
“I might be.” He says quietly, but somehow still confidently.
You raise a brow at him, was he blushing? You almost missed it, considering he threw a cocky grin right back on.
“Table for 2 please!” He called out to the host.
Dinner was more amazing than you expected it to be. He was good laugh, followed along by good food and some good desserts- just like he promised. You hadn’t had this much fun with anyone in long time. You didn’t want the night to end, and you’d give anything to spend more time with him.
“Are you busy tomorrow?” You were on his arm, walking back towards his parked car.
“Not particularly. Just essential things, grocery shopping, some laundry. I wanna wash the clothes you gave me.” You say, pondering what other chores and plans you had.
“Want to spend the night with me again?” He asks bluntly. He read your mind, and that freaked you out a bit. You can’t read his eyes through the thick shades, and he’s not grinning his usual grin.
“Do you have some sort of special ability I don’t know about?” You questioned. He smiled again, which made you relax.
“I have a few.” He laughs. Something told you he wasn’t lying, but you didn’t ask. “So is that a yes?”
“Obviously.” You say. “Let me go home get some clothes.”
“That’s takes up so much time.” He whined. You were happy he felt vulnerable enough to act this way around you.
“It’ll only be a few minutes. I won’t take long.” You say, squeezing his hand back. “Besides, if you’re patient you might get a surprise later.”
With that, he shoved you in his car, seemingly teleporting to the drivers seat. You couldn’t help but throw your head back in laughter as you fastened yourself seatbelt.
“Any surprise from you is sure to be a blessing,” he says proudly, starting the car.
You both rode back to your house. You were eager not to keep him waiting, only filling your bag with the toiletries and clothes you thought you’d need. You were really going back to his house. He literally invited you back to his space. You felt crazy in that moment, but you were still going through with all of it, zipping your bags up a little too giddily. Was he this spontaneous all the time? No matter, you loved what was happening.
Even if things between the both of you didn’t work out, (because you absolutely never know) you were still going to imbue the experience into your head. You were having a lot of fun, and that was all thanks to him.
“Finally,” he said as you finally entered the vehicle again.
“You’re impatient this evening.”
“I enjoy being in your space.”
“That so?” You say, putting on your seatbelt. His hand find yours as it rests on your lap again, and you hold back a swoon. It was so attractive watching him drive with one hand like that.
“Who wouldn’t? You’re the most refreshing person I’ve met in a while.”
“Are you trying to boost your score again?”
“You know, I should start rating you, too. Just because.” He jokes. Your mind starts ringing a range of dirty thoughts.
“I’ll get a perfect score.” You say confidently.
“Ohh-hoh? You got some tricks up your sleeve I don’t know about?”
“You think I’m just some sort of whiny sub with occasional comebacks here and there?”
He was quiet, attempting to suppress a grin.
“You’re right.“ You say in just a barely sarcastic tone. He looked at you for a second and back at the road again.
“I’m just a bratty sub. It’s imbued in my personality.” You say, cupping your cheek.
“You’re too funny.” He smirked. “You’ve got all night to prove yourself to me, cutie.”
“I’d like to go to bed before midnight if that’s alright with you.” You say sarcastically.
“You know that’s not happening right?”
“Because you start your day with a crackhead cup of coffee? I figured as much.” You say, leaning your elbow on the car door. He let out a toothy laugh, glasses slipping down his nose a bit.
“This is why I like you.”
Less than 20 minutes later, you both were in his apartment. You took off your shoes and hung your jacket besides his on the coat rack. After washing your hands together like some parent and child over the sink, you flopped on the familiar suede coach, letting out a sigh.
“Ughhh, I’m so tired.” You say, staring at the ceiling. You had pictured yourself being at home catching up on one of your shows or reading a good book. Instead here you were in his living room making sheep eyes at him as he grabbed his remote.
“Wanna watch a movie?” He said, flipping through his streaming services. When he heard that you didn’t answer, he turned his gaze towards you.
“You and I both know you don’t want to watch a movie.”
He smirks before sitting on the coach beside you.
“No, I don’t.” He chuckles honestly. He wanted to ravish you, but he figured you might want to save the sex for later. He slipped off his glasses and put them on the coffee table.
“But knowing someone’s favorite movies gives you a lot of insight on who they are.” He adds.
“You’re a lot deeper than you like to let on.” You say, shifting your body closer towards his and pressing your breasts against his arm.
“(Favorite movie).” You say, earning a raised brow from him.
“8/10.” He says.
“It’s a 10/10 movie.” You retort.
“Your review is sitting at 8/10, until further notice.”
“There are plentiful ways to improve said review.” He says, pretending to look at his finger nails. You bury a laugh into his shoulder, before speaking.
“I missed you a lot.” You say quietly after your laughter subsides, nuzzling your head against him. He hums deeply.
“Then why don’t you show me how much you missed me?”
You look up at him, lips curling into a smile. You give him an ‘okay’ before throwing one of your legs over his lap, straddling him on the couch. He let out a grunt, not expecting you to eagerly pounce on top of him. He instinctively places his hands on your waist. You take hold of his jaw in your hands before kissing him. You could feel his throat growl against your hand, sending the vibrations throughout your body. You used your free hand to cradle the back of head, deepening the kiss. His strong arms wrapped around your body as he let out a barely audible moan.
You pulled his lip into your mouth, sucking for a second and letting go, shooting him a seductive smile.
“Did that do the trick?” You ask, wiping a bit of the wetness from your mouth with a single finger.
“I think I need a little more.” His azure eyes were begging for your mouth but he somehow still felt like the dominant one underneath you.
You comply, dipping your head back down, pressing your wet lips to his. You connect tongues and he eagerly welcomed it. You couldn’t help but hum against his mouth. He was giving you that feeling in your core again. You instinctively grinded your hips against his crotch. You wanted more friction, regretting wearing jeans in that moment. His large hot hands travel under your shirt, caressing your bare back skin. You felt him teasing at your bra while your tongue was at work in his mouth.
“Stop fiddling with it and take it off if you want to.” You say, anxiously.
“I have to undress you? This may affect your score.” He puts a finger to his chin, smiling smugly.
“Fine,” you roll your eyes before taking off your shirt right in front of him, giving him a show.
“That’s what I like to see.”
You dive towards his lips again, pressing your breasts against him. It didn’t take long for you to start caressing the back of his head as you kissed him. You missed the smooth feeling of his undercut against your finger tips. You took hold of one of his hands and placed it on one of your padded breasts, urging him to massage you. As he squeezed your mounds you could feel his length begin to protrude and stab at your crotch.
“That didn’t take long.” You pull away, watching a stream of saliva fall from both your lips.
“I’ve been hard since before dinner.” He says nonchalantly. You raise an eyebrow in response. You get up from on top of him, and strip yourself of your jeans. He leans back on the sofa, spreading his arms across the top length and eyeing your body from head to toe.
“I’m going to spoil you this time.” You say, bringing yourself to your knees between his legs.
“I’ve been wanting to see you on your knees like this for a while now.” He has his lips between his teeth as he watches you.
“So you’re admitting to fantasizing about me?” You trace your fingers up his legs and along his thighs.
“You don’t wanna know the thoughts I’ve been having about you.”
There he goes again, saying things to burn your cheeks in the heat of the moment.
“And if I do?”
“Oh, I’ll do it all eventually. You’ll experience everything I have in mind for you in due time.”
You could feel your underwear getting soaked from his words. No matter, you went for his belt and he was glad to watch you unbuckle it. You unbuttoned his jeans and pulled his hot length out. You gripped the base with your hands, before gulping. You really had forgotten how big he was. He looked down at you so cockily, you felt a wave of irritancy come over you as he spoke.
“I know,” was all he said.
“Shut up.” You said, wrapping the tip of his length with your hot mouth. You used your tongue to swirl around it, adding some delicate suction. You tucked some hair behind your ears before taking it deeper. Your mouth felt so full. You hoped you were able to satisfy him despite his longer member. When you felt him shift his legs, you panned your gaze to his eyes.
“F-Fuck...”
Oh, you got him good. You spat more onto his length, stroking it while you paid extra attention to the top with your tongue.
“Oooo...” He moaned through his teeth, lips vibrating with pleasure.
“You look so pretty with your mouth around my dick like that.” He moaned. He was getting anxious, and heat began to crowd his body. He removed his shirt and tossed it to the side. He brought a hand to caress your head lightly while you sucked. His body really was gorgeous- perfect actually. In every way.
You held his blue gaze with yours. You could feel his legs shaking a bit. He was throbbing and twitching in your mouth. Little did he know, you weren’t going to allow him the sweet release he was approaching. You were aching to sit on it like last time. You could feel yourself nearly leaking out of your panties. His cursing and sweet low moans were fueling your cunt in an entirely different way than you were used to.
You release him from your mouth, making a popping noise. You stand before him, glinting seductively. He could’ve yanked you down and fucked you right there.
“You’re not going to cum just yet.” You say, slipping off your underwear and straddling him.
“Oh really?” He rested his arms back, watching you hover above his length.
“You wanna sit on it so bad, don’t you? Well go ahead, I’m not stopping you.”
His words made your knees weak, but you were still a bit bugged by him. You were intent on fucking him this time and making him call out your name. Out of spite, (and possibly overwhelming lust) you slid your raw, wet sex onto his length. His eyes widened, letting out a soft groan.
“You sure about that?” He asked through gritted teeth. “Because I might not pull out.”
“I’m on the pill. I’m not that reckless.” You explain. You tried your best to be still for a moment, still getting used to his size. You used this opportunity to unhook your bra and toss it across the couch. He had been fantasizing about feeling your slippery pussy on his length without any rubber in the way. He didn’t think you’d be so gracious so soon.
“You really are spoiling me.” He said, biting down on his lip as he stared at your breasts.
You smile at him before raising your ass up, and slamming it down on his length. You were enjoying him looking like this.
“Oh God,” he mouthed, gripping your waist. You found yourself in a smooth rhythm, rocking back and fourth. You pressed your lips against his while you bounced and grinded on it, pouring your tongue in his mouth. Your hands were in his hair, rubbing his chest. His and your sweet moans filled the living space. The way his shaft curved and repeatedly hit your deepest spot was incredible. He truly felt the best.
As your mouths departed, you watched a stream of saliva continue to connect your lips before completely dribbling down his chin. You raked your hands towards the hair on the back of his head, pulling his head backwards and exposing his neck to your lips. You sucked on the soft skin on his neck and underneath his ears while you bounced expeditiously onto him.
“Shit...” He said through gritted teeth. “Fuck... how are you this wet?”
You only hum into his ears with satisfaction before riding harder onto him.
“Ah..hah...” He breathed out, digging his fingers into your hips.
Suddenly, without warning, he wraps his strong arms around you, holding you in place. He starts thrusting into you from underneath, making you panic.
“You’re... deliberately... sabotaging.. m-my score.” You stutter and squeak, unable to do much but take it.
“Oh no, you gave me a good show sweetie, but now it’s my turn.”
The glint in his eyes was menacing as he battered you from beneath. Your moans were incoherent, and you felt yourself falling apart as you leant forward over his shoulder.
“Whose my pretty, sweet girl?” You found yourself submitting yet again. Your knees were getting weak anyway, you weren’t going to be able to ride it for much longer if he hadn’t done this.
“I... I-I am.” You say into the crook of his neck. So much for dominating him.
“I feel you squeezing around me. You love my dick that much?” You nodded weakly against him. Your insides were turning into jello.
“What was that? Speak up or I’ll stop. I wanna hear you tell me how much you love it.”
He really knew how to get you going, igniting another fire within you. You finally find the strength to use your body again and start grinding against it while he thrusts, finding his rhythm. You throw your head back, completely immersing yourself into his sex.
“I-I love it so much, Satoru, I love it.” You were surprised the words fell from your lips. Normally you were shy to say such things when asked to. He had your head clouded and submerged with pleasure, there wasn’t any time to think about how embarrassing it might feel. You could only focus on the feeling he gave you.
You were pretty much splashing onto his lap. You had never been this wet before- subject to the first time he sexed you.
“Such a perfect view.”  He watched your breasts bounce for a brief moment before pulling one of your nipples into his mouth and sucking generously. He wrapped his arms around you tightly, working away at your core.
“Now don’t be shy, cum for me just like the last time.”
He knew you couldn’t hold it any longer, feeling you clench yourself around him. You called out his name, feeling nothing but ecstasy as you came onto him. You nearly fell limp above his body, panting loudly. He leans forward, picking himself and you off the sofa. He placed you down, before hovering over you.
“I’m sorry but I’m not done yet, darling.” Your eyes are glazing back at him, feeling overwhelmed with pleasure. You knew he wasn’t done with you either.
“Can you handle anymore?” He asks, pushing his hair back as he looked down at you.
“Mhmm.” You hum.
“Let me warm you up again. Can you get on your knees for me, baby?” He said, patting the couch. You couldn’t help but do it simply because it was him asking you to. You sat up, weakly positioning yourself onto your knees, resting your upper body against the head of the couch.
“Like this?” You ask.
“Mhmm, just like that.” He knelt down behind you. “Spread your legs a bit.”
You felt a bit self conscious. You attempted to look back at him before feeling his hot tongue connect with your clit.
“Oh...” you moan, sort of surprised. He laughs against your sex a bit before putting his entire mouth over your clit. He takes both of your ass cheeks with his hands and spreads them wider, eating you deeper. You feel his tongue poke your entrance repeatedly, licking up what was left of your orgasm. You grip the railing of the couch, letting out the softest moan.
You felt him pull away and hover above your body. He put two fingers in his mouth before pulling them out, followed by another popping noise. He dipped those fingers into you, making your back arch. Your hips followed his fingers as he curled them inside you. You shamelessly rocked against his hands, earning a small laugh from him.
He tore his fingers from your cunt as you turned around and watched him suck and pass his tongue over them.
“You ready for it again?” He asks, sliding with raw member against your soaking cunt. You hum, pushing yourself against him, anxiously trying to get him to penetrate you.
“I love it when you start begging like that.” He says, sliding into you. “It makes it so hard for me to deny you.”
You grip the cushions, bracing yourself for the impact of him thrusting into you. He grips your hips firmly with his large hands as he fucks you senseless. All you could hear was the sound of your wet sex in the living room as you moaned brokenly. Him fucking you over the couch like this definitely hit different.
“F-fuck.... more...hard..der...” you panted while he jolted himself into your body repeatedly.
“Hmmm?” Almost agitated, you look back at him.
“Harder,” you say firmly, demanding to be fucked.
“Ooo~” He grinned. “So assertive.”
He took hold of both your forearms, pinning them against your lower back with a single hand. His other arm pulled your body up, pressing your back against his bare chest. His large free hand cradled your neck and jaw as you leant your head back on his shoulders,
“Now ask me again- nicely.” You barely had to support your own body with the way he was dominating you like this.
“P-please fuck me harder.” You ask, your throat humming against his hand.
He let out a breathy chuckle, before fucking you harder just like you wanted. Being this close against his heated skin was it’s own kind of pleasure.
“Now was that so hard?”
You were so wet, your juices began spilling down the insides of your thighs as he fucked you. You were nearing your end, limbs feeling gummy. One of his fingers had been resting above your lips because of how he held you. You opened your mouth while you moaned against it, slicking it with your tongue.
“You’re gonna make me cum, doing hot shit like that.” He said muttered against your ear, it was enough to send your throbbing center over the edge. You could feel him thrusting quicker- sloppier, as you spilled yourself onto his length. He let go of your body, instead now holding you by the bends of your arms. He pounded harder into you, stimulating you well past your orgasm and approaching his own.
He groaned loudly, and you were so dazed you barely heard him say your name while he did it. He let go of your arms, allowing you to finally collapse over the head of the couch. He removed his twitching member from your slimey cunt, shooting his fluids onto your ass. He came so much you could feel it running down your legs and onto the cushions.
“Fuck,” he stumbled back a bit. “Don’t move. Let me go get you something.”
You could’ve laughed at the slight panic in his voice when he said that.
He disappeared for a few moments before returning with a t-shirt and a hot towel for you, wiping you clean himself.
“I was caught up in the moment and wanted to be extra cautious.”
“You could’ve came inside me. I said I didn’t mind.” You say, laying back on the couch.
“You’re pretty ballsy.” He chuckled.
“I tend to get lost in the moment,” you say, putting on the shirt he gave you. “And I have my own clothes this time.”
“I know, but there’s just something about watching you move about in mine.” He says, laying down and motioning you to come towards him. You crawl up between his legs before laying on top of him. He wraps his arms around you tightly, snuggling you between his legs.
“I take this means my score was decent?” You say, looking up at him.
“Oh that. Let’s see...” he pondered. “A 10/10 for the oral. 10/10 for endurance. As you can see, I’m not as high maintenance as you.”
“I’m not high maintenance, you said you were the best so I-
“And aren’t I?”
“That’s besides the point. It was to be proven and I needed to humble you.”
“No, because now, I wanna hear you say it.”
“Say what?” You ask.
“That I’m the best.”
“And gluttonize your ego? I think not.” You say, pressing your lips to his. “Besides, you already know much I like it.”
“Yeah but hearing you say it adds the extra spice.”
You let out sigh, before looking into his eyes.
“Gojo Satoru is, in fact, the best I’ve ever had.”
“Mhmmm, like candy- but for the ears.”
“Shut up.” You laugh, pressing another soft kiss to his lips.
Hi love!
Sorry for bothering you, but could you do something like really cute and fluffy between Charlie Weasley and reader where he's all shy and delicate maybe teaching her about dragons and their characteristics pls? Like, something that feels really intimate, you know?
I absolutely love your writing and I believe that you could make justice to the character.
Take care darling,
-A
Thank you for the request, loveliest anon! This is actually the first fic request I’ve ever gotten and I’m so happy you like my stuff so much, this makes me very very soft.
This fluff piece was just what I needed to get my mojo back hopefully. Please let me know if this is like what you had in mind - I for one had a lot of fun with it! <3
As a Care of Magical Creatures test covering dragons of all things is imminent and you were too distracted in class to pay proper attention, you know just who to turn to for help.
Tumblr media
“You want me to do what?”
Charlie Weasley blinked at you in confusion. He could feel his blood rushing in his ears as he looked at you standing in front of him, clutching you Care for Magical Creatures book to your chest as you raised your eyebrows at him.
“I asked if you could help me studying for the test next week?” you repeated your question, brow slightly furrowed. “I can’t keep track of all these dragon traits and who would know them better than you?”
Charlie felt the heat creeping up on his face. Of course, the test. It was all he had been able to think about ever since Professor Kettleburn had announced the topic; all except you of course.
He tried to formulate a coherent answer that wouldn’t make him look like a blabbering fool in front of you, but the way the dappled sunlight that broke through the trees reflected in your hair distracted him more than he cared to admit.
So he resorted to a weak nod. “Uhm, sure, I’d love to. See you at six in the library?” he managed to stammer out eventually.
A beautiful smile formed on your face as you nodded in enthusiasm. “Sounds great, see you there!”
Charlie watched as you swished around and walked back to your friends, who greeted you with giggles and whispers as they glanced in his direction. You gave one of them a playful swat on the arm, before your clear laugh carried over to him onto the warm summer air and made his heart clench.
He knew all of his dragons by heart, of course he did; this test was the first he hadn’t bothered studying for at all. But now, he suddenly felt the overwhelming urge to prepare himself.
 *
The light of the sun had already started to turn into the beautiful golden shade that heralded the end of a warm autumn day as you skittered into the library. You were a little bit late for your study session with Charlie, and the exertion from running all the way from your Common Room flushed your cheeks slightly red. Your friends just hadn’t let you go, all of them just as excited for what they called ‘your dragon date’ as you were. Not that you’d ever tell them that.
You found Charlie sitting at a table near the windows and your breath caught for a moment as you took in the warm light that washed around his frame; it was making his ginger hair glow like fire, the only vibrant speck of colour in this dusty old room full of books.
He had his nose buried in a big, leather-bound tome, his eyes darting over the pages frantically; you noticed how the tip of his tongue stuck out between his lips in concentration. He was so immersed in his reading, that he only noticed you approaching as you sat down next to him. Jumping in shock at your sudden appearance, he almost knocked over his ink bottle, only catching it at the last second before its dark, inky content could wash over the thin pages of his book.
“Oh, you’re here already, I didn’t even notice you until now.” His freckled face had flushed a shade darker than usual as he put his ink bottle back into its position and made room for you on the table.
“I’d rather say I’m here finally,” you responded, feeling a little bit guilty at making Charlie wait. “But I see that you started without me.”
He hurriedly closed the book. “No, I was just reading up on some facts about Welsh Greens so I have them sharp in my mind,” he explained, “in case you have questions, you know?”
It was only now that your eyes took in the numerous heaps of books piled up on your table. “First question,” you said as you ran your fingers over the backs of the tomes stacked on top of each other. “I thought the test was about dragons native to Europe and not every single one in existence,” you pulled out a particularly old looking book containing myths and fables, “and beyond.”
You silently counted the numbers of books Charlie had amassed and your eyes went wide. “Charlie, these must be all the books about dragons in the whole library,” you laughed, giggling at the flustered expression of the boy beside you.
“Well, not all the books,” he clarified sheepishly. “There are quite a few in the Restricted Section and then there’s the two I have up in my dorm but forgot to bring and- “
You cut off his rambling by gently touching his arm; he shut up almost instantly, glancing nervously down to where your hand was lying. “It’s alright, it was just a joke.”
“Of course,” Charlie muttered slightly embarrassed. What was wrong with him?
He watched as you pulled your notes from your bag; they were rather sparse compared to the almost three scrolls of parchment he had scribbled down himself.
“Where do you want to start?”
You hummed to yourself as you considered your choices. A warm, fuzzy feeling spread inside Charlie’s chest as you drew your lips into a pensive pout and tapped your index finger against it.
Finally, a neat stack of white flashcards, that lay hidden behind a book on Sea Serpents, caught your attention. You reached over Charlie and pulled them towards you.
Your mouth dropped open as you flicked through them; on every one of the laminated cards was an extensive profile of every kind of dragon imaginable. The descriptions were written out in a neat, accurate hand that looked nothing like the careless scrawl you’d seen on Charlie’s class notes.
But what took your breath away were the detailed drawings below the text. They were done by pencil and although they didn’t move like magical pictures often did, they were so lively as if they only waited to pounce off the paper and take into the air.
Charlie watched you apprehensively as your fingers traced the outline of what appeared to be a Swedish Short-snout. He felt his heart beat faster at the soft, admiring look in your eyes as you turned towards him.
“Did you do these yourself?”
He nodded in response. “It’s hard to find decent descriptions all in one place,” he explained quietly. “I don’t know how accurate the sketches are though; I’ve never seen a dragon in real life.”
You flashed him a radiant smile that had his heart rate pick up considerably. “I don’t care if they’re realistic; they’re brilliant!”
Encouraged by your excitement, he took the flashcards out of your hands and fanned them out, their blank backs facing you. “Then I’d suggest we start with them; pick one!”
Running the fingers along the cards twice, you finally settled on one and drew it out of his grasp. Charlie’s freckled face lit up as he saw which one you had chosen.
“The Ukrainian Ironbelly,” he exclaimed, “my favourite!”
All of his former shyness was suddenly forgotten; this was his prime discipline.
“The Ironbelly is native to the Ukraine, as its name suggests, obviously. It’s considered the largest dragon species in existence with an immense wingspan, long talons and scales that are said to be harder to pierce than steel. It’s name stems from the metallic grey colour of his underside and ever since one particular large specimen carried off a whole sailing ship in the late 18th century, they are under strict observation by wizarding authorities.”
You did your best to jot down the information Charlie dumped on you with impressive speed but there was no way you could keep up with his excited ramblings. So you resorted to listening to him as he lectured you about feeding habits, hunting methods and the average temperature of the flames an Ironbelly could produce.
He sighed wistfully as he paused for breath. “They’re amazing.”
You couldn’t hide your smile at his dreamy expression as you picked out your next card from the stack. “Okay, how about this one?”
The dragon it showed had ridges running along its back, ending in a nasty, arrow-shaped spike at the tip of its tail. It barred its teeth at you in a vicious snarl.
“That’s my favourite, the Hebridean Black,” he repeated his words from before, positively bouncing with energy this time around.
You glanced at the card you two had just worked your way through. “I thought the Ukrainian Ironbelly was your favourite?” you teased him.
Charlie’s bouncing stopped instantly as he blushed bright red; you hadn’t meant to bring him down and felt sorry all of a sudden. So you propped the card against one of the book piles and turned to him.
“So, tell me more about it.”
Relieved to be able to tread on secure ground again, Charlie immediately recounted all the facts about one of the two dragon breeds native to the British Isles to you.
You continued in this fashion; your pulled a random card from the stash and Charlie would tell you everything he knew about it. He grew more animated with every new flashcard; as it turned out, every dragon you talked about was his favourite.
Seeing him so caught up in his favourite subject had a warmth spread in your chest and the smile on your lips never vanished even once. You had given up on writing Charlie’s words down about four cards ago and were merely staring at him explaining to you everything about these fantastic beasts that made up all of his dreams and musings.
His excitement quickly spread to you and you found yourself hanging onto his every word. But the more you were listening to him, the more you found your concentration shift from the dragons you were discussing to the boy beside you.
Your head propped on your hand, you admired how recounting scale colours and preferred environments of Romanian Longhorns brought a twinkle to his blue eyes and how his contagious laugh had you chuckle at the idea that people would confuse a Hungarian Horntail with a Norwegian Ridgeback.
The dimples forming in his freckled cheeks as he smiled at you were the exact reason why you had needed help with studying for this test in the first place. When you had talked about dragons in class, the eager smile and the slight scrunch of his nose as he scribbled down every single word Professor Kettleburn had to spare had left you breathless and unable to concentrate on anything but the butterflies dancing in your stomach.
The pile of flash cards had dwindled down until only a few more were left. Your breath caught in your throat as you turned around your next pick; the pictured showed a slender dragon directly from the front. It’s wings were outstretched and it seemed to be staring directly at you out of wide, pupil-less eyes. It was the only drawing so far that was coloured.
Your finger traced the subtle colour gradient rippling over its pearly scales as Charlie looked over to see which one was next.
“The Antipodean Opaleye,” he murmured, taking in your fascinated expression, “it’s singularly coloured scales and eyes are the stuff of legends.”
“It’s beautiful,” you whispered, trying to imagine how the scales of a real life Opaleye might shimmer in the sunlight.
“Not as beautiful as you,” Charlie suddenly blurted out. The words had fallen from his lips before he’d even had a chance to stop them.
Both of you froze as what he had said sank into your consciousness. You couldn’t believe your ears and were half sure that your mind must have played a trick on you.
You carefully glanced over to Charlie out of the side of your eyes; he looked incredulous and you could watch the colour of his face turning from ghostly white to a deep, vivid scarlet that clashed with his ginger hair in a matter of seconds.
Feeling your own cheeks starting to blush at the unexpected compliment, you desperately were looking for something to say to take the shock out of his widened eyes. But your mind wasn’t working properly anymore, so all you managed was a meek “Wow, uhm, thank you Charlie, that’s really sweet.”
It was apparent your words didn’t help his flustered situation as he covered his face with his hands and groaned “I can’t believe I said that out loud; I’m such an idiot.”
You didn’t know what to do to help him; you felt utterly flattered and confused at the same time. You thought about putting your hand on his arm to reassure him what he had said actually made you happy, but paused halfway, not quite daring to touch him again.
Still unsure of what to do, you got up and picked up one of the books he had used to illustrate the facts on his flashcards.
“I’d better get going, I guess,” you stammered without looking at the wretched boy sitting at the table next to you, “thank you so much for helping me, I think I’ll manage the rest on my own. Can I borrow that book though?”
He didn’t raise his face from his hands, but nodded anyways. You felt bad for leaving him like that, but your head was spinning and you desperately needed to sort out your thoughts.
But seeing Charlie’s slumped frame sitting at the table, all the bubbly excitement from before completely drained from him, tugged at your heartstrings so hard it almost hurt. So instead of turning around and leaving, you drew a deep breath, gathered your courage and stepped behind him, placing a light kiss on his cheek.
You could feel his shoulders tense and his breath hitch as your hair tickled his jaw and were glad he couldn’t see the deep blush on your cheeks as you straightened up, picked up your bag and his book and hurried out of the library with a racing heart, too afraid to turn around once more.
*
Charlie and you hadn’t spoken again after what had happened in the library. It had taken him quite some time to be able to think properly again after you had left; he had just sat at his table, hand on his cheek where you had kissed him, staring into nothingness, the peachy smell of your hair still hanging in the air.
Even though the thought of how soft your lips had felt on your cheek had been the most prominent thing in his mind, he had passed his test with flying colours; some things just couldn’t be erased from his mind, no matter what was happening around him.
He had just returned to his dorm after a particularly tiring Quidditch practise when he saw it lying on his bed, propped up against his head bord; the book you had borrowed from him to finish studying on your own.
For a brief moment, he wondered how you had managed to get it up here, when he noticed something white sticking out of the pages. Curious, he picked up the book and flicked it open.
Even without looking, he knew what chapter it was you had marked with whatever you had put in there; he had read this book more times than he could remember. It was the chapter on the Antipodean Opaleye; he grimaced at the memory of when he had last thought about this particular dragon.
A white flashcard was stuck between the pages, its laminated surface flashing as Charlie turned it around to read it.
A big smile stole onto his face as he saw the photograph of you laughing and waving at him that you had stuck on the front side. His eyes swept over the lines written in your feminine hand and his smile grew even wider as he read the ‘special characteristics’ section:
It has to be remarked, that this particular specimen was able to pass her test with full marks.
He was glad to hear his blurted out compliment hadn’t affected your marks in the end. He sighed wistfully, when he noticed the very small, scribbled note at the very end of the card; it wasn’t as neatly written as the rest, almost as if your hands had shaken while writing it down.
Greatest weakness: While not many weaknesses are recorded of this specimen, it is said that it can be easily tamed by ginger-haired dragon trainers in the making. Whether these rumours are true, remains to be determined.
Charlie’s mouth dropped open as he read the last section over and over again, not daring to believe what he thought they said. But after the tenth time, he finally allowed the butterflies that  had been fluttering in his stomach to spread into the rest of his body, his smile growing into the widest grin as he tucked the flashcard carefully into the book again.
This time, he was sure; this one was his favourite.
Fangs And Fur (Bf x Pico oneshot)
Werewolf Au. Because I want to. This was somewhat inspired by an animated short called "Dirty Paws"
*Warning: Swearing and Blood/Gore/Violence. (It's not that bad, but just in case)
Bf and Pico shared jokes and friendly banter as Pico walked Boyfriend home. It was dusk, just barely any sunlight illuminating the neighborhood. The two of them had just finished a dinner date, still laughing and flirting as they walked along the sidewalk on Bf's home street. Some of Boyfriend's neighbors were greeting the boys from their yards as the two passed by.
Carol, whose house was directly to the left of Boyfriend's, was finishing up watering her yard when she saw her neighbor and his date. "Hey Boyfriend!" Carol greeted them happily. "Hi Carol! How are you?" Boyfriend replied, he and Pico stopping in front of her new painted fence to talk. "I'm good, just relaxing after putting in this darn fence. It took forever, but it's worth it though to keep my little Cocoa Puff safe." Carol gestured to her mini poodle, the little fuzzball had brown curly fur, hence the name Cocoa Puff. "You should probably get a fence too, Bf. There's been a lot more animal attacks happening lately." Carol warned, Bf and Pico shifted with unease. "Yeesh, has it been getting that bad?" The bluette asked nervously. "It's been really bad, Sunday's cat got attacked the other night. Poor little guy was really chewed up by some big animal.." "Oh no! Not Bubsy!" Bf had a soft spot for animals in general, even though he didn't have any pets of his own, he always loved animals. Pico, too, felt bad for the little cat. "Did the cat survive? How bad was it?" Pico asked, never having met Sunday or her cat Bubsy, Bf told him about them before. Sometimes Sunday would ask Bf to babysit her cat when she was on tour, he was really good with Bubsy. Carol gave a look of sympathy, knowing the cat's condition. "He's alive, but it's a long road to recovery." She said dejectedly. "I've been hearing that people are setting traps around here, so keep an eye out for those too. Okay?" "Will do, thanks Carol." Bf replied, Pico only nodded in response. "Anyway, moving on to lighter news.. Are you going to introduce me to your friend here?" Carol lightly teased, tilting her head in Pico's direction. "Oh yeah! Right. Carol, this is Pico!" Bf wrapped his arm around the redheaded man's shoulders, making Pico's face turn pink. A look of recognition flashed onto Carol's features. "Ooooh, so THIS is the boyfriend you're always talking about. It's nice to finally meet you Pico." Carol teased, holding out her hand. Pico felt his cheeks flush with embarrassment before shaking Carol's hand. It was flattering to know that Boyfriend talked about him. "Y-yeah. You too."
Carol giggled a bit. "Alright, well I'll let you guys enjoy your evening. Have a good one!" Bf waved at her while he and Pico walked up to his porch. Bf held the door open for Pico, but he declined going inside. Bf of course took notice of this, as well as Pico's nervous demeanor.
 "Are you okay, Pico?"
"Yeah.. I just- I should head home. I had a nice night. Let's go out again soon." Pico gave him a smile that was somewhat forced. "Oh… okay. Well, I'll call you tomorrow then."
"Yeah, sounds good." Pico gave Bf a kiss on the cheek, then he left. Bf closed his door, he was a little disappointed, if he was honest. He had hoped Pico would stay the night, but it was Pico's choice. It wouldn't have been right to stop him. Bf just decided to chill instead. Sweets and videogames were the perfect cure for disappointment.
Pico rushed home, the sun had already gone down, he didn't have much time. He felt bad. Not just for leaving an obviously dejected Boyfriend, but for being so secretive with him. But he didn't have time for that! He needed to get home and lock up. It was only a matter of time before the moon would show it's Damn face. He dashed down the street , finally getting to the cul de sac he lived on. He ran onto his porch, swinging open his door and slamming it behind him. Just in the nick of time. He collapsed on the floor. His transformation was already taking place. His breathing was heavy, he couldn't help but shout in agony as his body reconfigured itself into its new form. Before he was lost to the lycan curse, however, he had one last horrifying realization.
He forgot to close the window.
It had been a couple of hours, Bf had changed into some comfy clothes and was watching tv on his couch. He couldn't help but think of Pico. It was weird how nervous he suddenly was. Pico had been fine all day, but suddenly he ran off after talking to Carol. Was he really that flustered? It didn't seem like it was a big deal. Surely it was something else, but what? Bf sighed, it wasn't really his business, but he wanted to know what was up. He decided to text Pico.
Bf: Hey. I had a lot of fun at dinner :) I just wanna see if you're alright, you seemed off earlier. Everything ok?
Thirty minutes went by, and he got no response. 'Maybe he's already asleep?' Boyfriend thought, sure it wasn't super late, but it wasn't unusual for people to sleep at this hour. Boyfriend shut off the tv. Maybe he should just get some air. It was nice out. A nice warm summer night. A walk would do him some good. Sure he was basically in pajamas, with a mismatched t-shirt and sweatpants but who cares? He put his phone and keys in his pockets, and left the house for a walk. His neighborhood was fairly close to a nice wooded area. It wasn't really a forest, but there were wild animals around. Like coyotes and rabbits. He decided to hang out around the trees. He sat down on a stump that had once been a huge cottonwood tree, and he just listened to the noises around him. Crickets and other bugs were chirping and buzzing around. It was oddly serene.At least, it was. Until some rustling in the bushes caught his attention.
He was startled, frightened even, but then he felt relieved once he realized it was a rabbit. Just a little rabbit. But his levity was short lived when noticed the rabbit was limping. He used his phone's flashlight to get a better look. The poor rabbit was barely able to move, its flesh had been ripped apart, blood soaking its fur, and one of its legs was missing. It trembled and struggled. Boyfriend's heart sank when the realization set in that the poor thing wasn't going to make it. It was suffering, and he hated to see animals suffer. He decided to try and comfort it. The rabbit collapsed, he gently brushed his fingers on its soft little head. The rabbit's breathing was still panicked, but it was too weak to do anything. He considered killing it to end its misery, but before he could, he heard snarling coming from the bush. He quickly shined the light on it, just in time to see the snout of a larger animal swiftly bite the rabbit.
Bf jumped back in fear. The animal stalked out of the bushes that had hidden it, revealing a large orangish red wolf.  The rabbit, the wolf's prey, was still in its jaws. The small rodent fell limb as the wolf's fangs sunk into its body. Bf could hear the bones crack. It didn't take long for the wolf to completely devour the rodent. Bf froze. Should he run? Would the wolf want him? He couldn't help but tremble at the large beast before him. Then it looked at him. Its eye bore into his soul. Focused. It watched him intently. Bf stayed still. Maybe if he didn't make any sudden movements, it would move on. It approached him slowly, circling him. It then got closer, inspecting him with its nose. It seemed particularly drawn to his pocket. Bf slowly reached into his pocket, the wolf allowed it, watching him. Bf pulled out a small bag of chocolate chip cookies. He had forgotten that he put those there. The wolf's ears perked up a bit, and it tilted it's head.
"Is this what you want?" The Wolf kept its eyes locked on the bag. "I'm not sure if you should have this, it has chocolate in it. Pretty sure dogs can't have that." The wolf growled, seeming to not take "no" as an answer. "Okay okay! Fine! They're yours!" Bf reached into the bag, then tossed a cookie at the wolf. The treat hit its nose before falling on the ground. The wolf appeared displeased with the assault on its nose, giving a huff before eating the cookie. "Well sorry, it's not my fault you're clumsy and didn't catch it." Bf said sarcastically. The wolf looked at him again, it wanted more treats. Bf tossed another cookie, this time aiming in front of the wolf so he didn't hit its nose again. The beast seemed content with that. So Bf kept doing it until he ran out.
The canine's demeanor had thankfully shifted, it seemed more docile after being fed. Boyfriend had calmed down significantly, no longer fearing for his life. "Well, it was nice to meet you… wolf. I'm gonna go home. I've had enough excitement today." Bf turned away from the orange/red animal, trusting that it wouldn't pounce on him while his back was turned. As he walked away, he could hear two pairs of footsteps behind him. He looked back to confirm that the wolf was following him. When he stopped, the wolf halted, when he moved, the wolf followed. "I uh, think you should stay here. Where you live. I'm going home." Bf tried again to leave, the wolf followed him anyway. "No. You stay. I go." Bf tries using hand gestures to get the animal to listen, but to no avail. Bf picked up a stick and threw it. It didn't seem to interest the wolf, but the stick accidentally hit some small animal Bf hadn't noticed before. That got the wolf's attention. As the large mammal attacked the unfortunate stick receiver, Bf took the opportunity to run home. He managed to make it to his house and close the door. Bf leaned against the wood, sliding down till he hit the carpet. He let out a breath he didn't realize he was holding. After he had calmed down, astonishment took over. He just fed a wolf. And he didn't die! He was like Snow White! Holy crap!
Bf eventually stood up and moved to the couch. Deciding that maybe he should relax for a bit. He started channel surfing on his TV, settling on a random cartoon that was on. He could feel his tense muscles relaxing a bit. He let out a sigh of relief.
He had gotten through a few episodes when he heard something. Something outside.
*SCRATCH SCRATCH*
He muted the tv. No way. There's no way this was happening.
*SCRATCH SCRATCH SCRATCH*
It followed him home.
He could hear the clawing getting faster. Impatient. Instead of following common sense, he decided to open the door. His motion triggered porch light shone on the wolf's red/orange fur. It's white eyes bore into his soul again. Bf stepped aside, allowing the beast into his house. The wolf strutted in, immediately smelling anything and everything it could. It didn't seem aggressive, just curious. Bf filled a bowl with water and set it on the floor. Might as well hydrate his new houseguest. Eventually his fears dissipated. He went back to the couch, watching the wolf as it wandered around his living room. He watched the tv again, laying down across the sofa comfortably.
And, before he could prepare for it, he was suddenly smothered by orange fur. The wolf had kept onto the sofa, laying on top of the blue haired man. He tried to push the wild dog off of him, but he couldn't budge it. This was his life now. He was a man-sized dog's couch cushion now. He didn't know wolves could get this big now that he thought about it. But it didn't matter. He was stuck. This was the predicament he was in. He gave up. The dog had won. Despite the animal's weight, he managed to fall asleep. It was warm and fluffy, so it wasn't so bad.
The rising sun peeked through the blinds, illuminating Bf's face, waking him up. He shifted a little, still feeling the warm mass on top of him. He yawned, his eyes still closed. He petted the wolf on top of him, his fingers gently brushing its soft skin- wait a second. His eyes shot open.
"Pico!?"
The man jolted awake after hearing his name. Pico looked at Bf with wide eyes. His face turned almost as red as Bf's signature hat. The two stared in silence for what felt like forever before Boyfriend broke it.
"You owe me an explanation."
"Can I borrow some clothes first?"
"Please do."
Missing Links: A New Hyrule
This story has a prequel called Secrets in the Breeze! Go check it out!
My Missing Links
Tumblr media
Wind took a deep breath, savoring the scent of the breeze as blew by. It had been awhile since he'd smelled salt in the air.
It was good to be back near the ocean.
One by one, the other heroes came through the portal, which shut behind them with a blue flash. Hyrule looked at Wind curiously. "Do...you recognize this place?"
"Nope!" Wind spun around with a bright smile. "But we’re near the sea! That’s always a good sign!”
“I beg to differ,” Legend muttered, taking note of his surroundings.
It wasn’t much. They stood atop a cliff that overlooked the sea-bordering countryside, with a sparse collection of villages tucked into the nooks of the nation. But what caught the pink-haired hero’s attention most was the network of golden roads that stretched across the land, leading towards a grand tower far inland.
In the shadow of the massive building stood a castle; one the young man immediately recognized, which threw the whole tower into proportion.
It was...big.
Tumblr media
“So, here’s the plan.”
The redheaded man slapped a map against a tree, stabbing it through with his hairpin to keep it in place. He snapped his fingers, and the circuits of his prosthetic hand lit up in timeshift blue. “We came in here,” he said, drawing a glowing X over a place in the north of the Forest Realm. “The loser that stole my control slate ran off, and we got lost chasing him. So now we’re down here.” He circled Whittleton Village.
Fox watched the hero explain with wide eyes, fixated on his glowing fingertips.
“The guy could be anywhere,” he continued. “HOWEVER, if he knows how to calibrate it right, he probably has a map updated on the slate. And if he knows what the slate does, which he has to in order to pull a stunt like he did twice in a row, then he’d head for Hyrule Castle.” Taps drew an arrow towards the castle and tower in the distance. “We’ve already lost a day just getting out of Lost Woods. He’s probably way ahead of us if we travel on foot. But if we use one of the minecart guardians people drive around here...” He traced his finger along the minecart tracks that stretched across the land. “We can probably beat him there, as long as we catch one within the next couple hours.”
Tumblr media
He spun to face his companion, clicking the drawing rune off. “Any questions?
Fox’s hand shot in the air. “Mr. Link? How does your arm work?”
Taps gave him a flat look. “Timeshift-powered output core.” He gave his prosthetic a solid pat. “Sheikah tech. Not what we were talking about. Any relevant questions?”
“...Well...” Fox rubbed the back of his head. “The...guardian things...they take passengers, right?” He looked at the hero with big eyes. “So, don’t they charge rupees?”
Taps paused. He hadn’t considered that. “...We can stow away.”
“Absolutely not.” The Hytopian put his hands on his hips sternly. “These people have lives to live outside of us. It’s wrong to steal labor from them.”
“They’re not GONNA have lives to live if this timeline gets screwed with by my slate!”
“Then we should get money fast, shouldn’t we?”
Taps’ eyes narrowed, and he crossed his arms. “I didn’t exactly bring my wallet with me when I got yanked through time and space. You plan on selling your extra clothes for it?”
Fox gasped in horror, hugging his bulky luggage. “Never!”
“Well then. Not that big a problem, is it?”
Fox bit his lip. “...Give me one hour,” he finally said. “If I can’t earn us enough rupees for a trip by then, then we can talk about stowing away.”
Taps rolled his eyes. “Fine.” He held up a metal finger. “You’ve got one hour.”
Tumblr media
Legend walked along the strange track, examining the golden triangles beneath his feet as he followed the rails. The power in them tugged at his attention, no matter how hard he tried to look away.
What were they?
“Hey.” An elbow dug into his shoulder. “Hyrule to Link, are you there?”
Legend side-eyed the offender crossly. “No.”
“Well then,” Warriors replied, smirking. “I guess that means I get your share of lunch.”
“You touch my apple pie and you find out exactly what my medallions do.”
“Ouch. Touchy.” He followed Legend’s line of sight down to the ground. “Must be an interesting road.”
Legend nodded, looking back at the tracks. “They’re...powerful,” he said, gesturing to them. “They radiate magic, and they feel...Hylian. Like they’re alive.”
Twilight shuddered. “I certainly hope they’re not,” he said, giving Epona a pat. “The last thing I want to worry about is living roads.”
WOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!
The Chain jumped in unison at the loud sound, attention forcefully torn from the Spirit Tracks at their feet.
Off in the distance, blurred by a shimmer of heat, a steam-powered machine charged down the tracks at breakneck speed. With a frown, Twilight whipped out his Hawkeye mask to get a better look.
It was HUGE; it had to be at least as tall as three horses standing on top of each other. As it rounded the bend and headed towards them, he got a good look at its segments—a house, a tray, and a cannon?
Twilight squinted, adjusting the mask’s scope. “What in Farore’s name...”
“What is it?” Time asked, raising an eyebrow.
“...Some kind of mechanical caravan.” Twilight concluded after a moment of thought, lowering the mask. “And it’s not stopping. We should move.”
WOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!
“NOW.”
Quickly, the group got off the tracks, giving them a WIDE distance.
As the steam-powered beast approached, it let out a shrill, screeching noise, causing the heroes to clamp their hands over their ears in pain until it finally rolled to a stop with a pressurized hiss.
Time slowly lowered his hands, shaking off an involuntary shiver at the redead-esque noise. “Everyone alright?”
Hyrule groaned, rubbing his ears sorely. “I think I finally feel bad for DIgdogger...”
“We’re fine,” Four answered. “I’m going to have a headache for the next week and a half, though...”
“Tell me about it...what even WAS that?” Wind asked, scrunching up his eyes as he popped the pressure in his ears.
“‘Hoy!”
The seafarer suddenly snapped to attention at the familiar greeting.
Tumblr media
“’Hoy!”
Link leaned out of the engine cab and waved to the band of...soldiers.
They had to be soldiers, right? They had swords and armor. Maybe there was a ceremony or something coming up.
One of the group, a young-looking boy in blue, waved back to him. “‘Hoy, stranger!”
“Everything alright?” Link called. “You look kind of...lost.”
The group looked between each other. “We kind of are,” another one said, a heavily-scarred one with a long ponytail. “Can you tell us where we are?”
“Just west of Whittleton. Where are you trying to go?”
“Hyrule Castle town,” the most heavily armored one replied. “Is it far from here?”
Link looked the group over critically. “...Not really. It’s a 20 minute ride by train. Can I ask who you guys are?”
“An orchestra!” The kid that had initially greeted him exclaimed.
“...An orchestra.”
“Yep!” He pulled out his baton. “See, I’m a conductor, and he’s got a harp, and he’s got an ocarina...”
“What are you playing, then?” Link said, raising an eyebrow.
“Uh-”
“Song of the Hero,” the friendly-looking one in the white cape supplied. “It’s a classic.”
“...Right.” Link held back a sigh, feeling like this was going to be trouble. He could just leave them...
...But this was Bulblin territory. He’d feel bad.
He could just tell the guard captain to be on the lookout once he got to Hyrule Castle. That’d keep them in line, right?
“...Do you guys want a lift?”
Tumblr media
The train ride was such a change from walking everywhere. Granted, it had been difficult to convince Epona to climb into the passenger car with them, and Legend was sharing a VERY uncomfortable stare with a fluffle of rabbits gathered at his feet. But, for the vast majority of the heroes, it was a chance to rest their legs and watch the scenery fly by.
And it was incredible.
The only comparable thing Wind had seen in his travels was speeding around on Linebeck’s steamboat, and even that required him to be focused on not running into barrels and sandbars.
This, though? It was smooth. The train ran in a straight line, zooming by acres and acres of land without so much as a bump in the wrong direction, with endless ocean through one side of the car and towering mountains through the other. Thinking fast, he pulled out his pictobox and snapped a few shots as he went along.
When the train made its first stop, the screeching sound was notably more bearable through the barriers of the cabin walls. It still made Hyrule wince, but it was a far cry from the veritable scream they’d had to endure before.
As it finally came to a full stop, the engineer that’d picked them up peered into the cabin. “Nobody get up yet, we’re not here. I’m just picking up some more passengers.”
Time raised an eyebrow. “You do this kind of thing often?”
The stranger gave him a deadpan look. “Nope. Never in my life.” Without another word of explanation, he shut the door.
Time stared after him, taken aback.
Had he just....been sassed?
A moment later, the back door of the cabin opened, and two new passengers entered.
“I told you I could pay fare!”
“Yeah, yeah. Still think we could have saved money.”
They sat in the back seat, bickering quietly and, to Legend’s relief, attracting the fluffle away from him. As the train resumed its travel down the road, he found himself listening in to their conversation.
“-plan once we get there?”
“We start looking. Duh.”
“That’s it? That’s all you’ve got?”
“Look, if someone uses it, we’ll know. It’s not exactly an easy thing to- ...hide.”
Curious at what had made the newcomer trail off, Legend looked back at them over his shoulder.
The redhead—the one who had ended the conversation—was staring at Wild in shock.
The pink-haired one, on the other hand, Legend recognized instantly. His head spun; the Chain had only just gotten the means to time travel themselves, how had the Hytopian guy with the friendship tokens-?!
Feeling Legend’s gaze on him, Fox looked up, unnerved, then froze in shock as he came to the same conclusion Legend did.
I know you. You shouldn’t BE here.
Suddenly, the train heaved, throwing everyone out of their seats. The once-smooth ride came to an abrupt halt as the train derailed, skidding across the raw ground with a terrifying SCREECH before grinding to a halt and tilting precariously. Twilight and Wild both scrambled to grab Epona and brace her as the car finally tipped, landing on its side with a crash.
Silence hung in the air for one brief, panic-laced second.
Then, in an instant, the redheaded stranger shoved his companion out the back door and vaulted over the cabin seats, barreling into Wild and leaping for the front door. As Wild was abruptly yanked out of his daze, he spotted the Sheikah Slate in the thief’s hand before the redhead made his escape.
Fox stared at Taps as he ran outside. “What are you doing?!”
“Shut up, I’m focusing!” Taps said, frantically clicking through the slate. “Where is it, this layout is atrocious-”
“Did you just steal the-”
“He had my control slate!”
“They had SWORDS!”
“So do we!” Taps stopped on a screen, and sighed in relief. “Finally!” With a blue flash, he summoned his Divine Beast, wasting no time in clambering on board. “Come on, get on!”
“But my clothes-”
“HEY!”
The two time travelers looked over as Wild emerged from the train car to shame mankind, eyes blazing with fury as he raced towards them.
Fox squeaked in alarm, quickly leaping onto the Divine Beast and clinging to Taps. “Drive, DRIVE!”
Wild did his best to give chase as the duo sped off, but his mortal Hylian legs couldn’t keep up with the ingenuity of Sheikah technology. Before his very eyes, two complete strangers fled into the distance with his Divine Beast.
Tumblr media
Link picked himself up off the ground, clutching his ribs in pain as he raced back towards his toppled train.
He had so many people on board, he had a horse back there. If any of them were hurt—
Without a moment’s thought for himself, he threw the cabin door open. “Is everyone okay?!”
Everyone jolted, reaching for their weapons in panic, when suddenly, there was a yelp of pain from the back seat.
Sky clutched his stung hand as he dropped the Master Sword, staring at the engineer in shock.
“You’re...one of us.”
the devil you know
Сharacters: Hange Zoe, Levi, Moblit Berner, Zeke Yeagar, Armin Arlert
Genres: Action / Drama
Summary: Can you still miss a person, if everything you knew about them was a lie?
He was wasting precious time. His primary object was Eren and getting to him before the last hope of humanity had his ass kicked by Marleyan tech or another shifter. His second no less important task was finding Eren's brother and playing a little shit show for his Marleyan superiors.
Eren was already being taking care of and Levi had Zeke in his line of sight. All he had to do was swoop in and get the bearded bastard.
Still, the time was of the essence. Every second wasted meant another useless death. And he had enough of this massacre already.
He had to be focused, had to remain vigilant. But as he flew through the burning city his focus began to slip and his attention was occupied by things of no importance to his goal. He couldn't help but wonder - that small cafe that was just exploded by a thunder spear, did she use to frequent it? And that alley to his left, maybe it had led to her house? Did she even have a house here, in the inner city? Or did she live somewhere else, maybe, in barracks with her fellow warriors? Or, maybe, in a little house in the middle of a forest she used to tell him about?
It didn’t matter, he told himself, none of it ever did.
What mattered right now was the plan and following through with it. Everything else was meaningless.
Keep your head in the game, Levi reminded himself, gritting his teeth. He directed his gaze to the ground, where a chaos was unraveling at a more rapid speed that he had expected.
The swirl of people in white uniforms danced around the city. Some of them, armed with guns and rifles, attempted to fight back, others, less courageous ones - ran for their lives.
Each time one of them fell, receiving a bullet to the head, or getting buried under debris from blown up buildings, his heart stopped. Despite his insistent thoughts - she wouldn't care about you, she never did - he still looked for a mess of brown hair in the crowd.
He wasn't sure if his heart would be able to take it if he saw her there - amongst dozens of dead bodies.
She wouldn't care about you, she never did - and yet, he still couldn't treat her with the same indifference.
Keeping Zeke in his line of sight, Levi landed in the nearby alley. He took out his pocket watch, checking the time. His ride would arrive soon, and that meant—
Showtime, he thought grimly, releasing his cables and readying his blades.
It didn't lessen the pain hidden in the depth of his soul, but hurting Zeke, cutting and hitting him gave the catharsis he was waiting for ever since their last meeting.
First he cut off his left arm - that's for all the scouts that lost their lives because of you.
Then he went for the right arm - that's for Nanaba.
He moved to the right leg, cutting it down and making the beast fall on one knee - that's for Mike.
And that's - he thought - as he slashed through his left leg - that's for Erwin, you fucking dipshit.
The beast collapsed, plummeting face-first into the ground. Levi landed on top of him, taking out a grenade.
He plunged his blade into beast's body, afflicting the final wound. He removed the pin, thinking - that's for taking her away from me too.
The crowd around them swayed, the masses stood terrified in a face of their biggest defender losing so easily to a devil from Paradise. Levi would have even smirked, if this whole farce didn't disgust him so much. He would have enjoyed injuring the beast, if it wasn't a part of Zeke's own, carefully orchestrated plan.
The airship was fast approaching, and so Levi pulled Zeke's body out, scowling at the sight of his hideous face.
"You truly are one of a kind, asshole," Levi whispered to him. "I have never seen anyone uglier than you."
"There are some who enjoy my looks, Levi," the fucking monkey managed to say, despite half of his face missing. "One of my admirers used to be your friend once. Tell me, Captain, do you still miss her?"
Fucker.
Levi shoved his blade into bastard's stomach, going as deep as he could. God, he wanted another round with him. He wanted to beat the shithead until there was no sass left in him.
"I would shut up if I were you, beast. Or I'll be busy cutting your tongue during the whole trip back to the island."
"Careful with your language," Zeke advised with a disgustingly sweet smile. "Someone's watching."
Instinctively, Levi looked up. Immediately, he felt his throat close up because there, on top of the building he saw—
Messy brown hair, those stupid, too big glasses—
His limbs moved on his own accord.
"Take him," he instructed Moblit, kicking Zeke's half formed body to him.
"Captain, the airship—"
"One minute," he promised and soared into the air.
***
Goddamnit, but she didn't age a day. The same proud posture, the same determined expression.
She stood on top of a rooftop, a rifle in her hands. Not far behind her Levi could see the Cart Titan.
Was Hange the one who advised the shifter to use the hard machinery? Most probably. She was the one who knew about scouts’ fighting style the most. Knew their advantages, knew how to exploit their weaknesses.
No surprise in that, she was a scout for almost five years too, after all.
All these times she begged him to show his tricks, to explain how he could move so differently from the others, was it with a malicious intent too? Not to satisfy her abnormal curiosity, but to simply gather more intel?
Was there any moment out of thousands, where she wasn’t pretending?
The rifle in her hands trembled, as she saw him appear.
"Levi," she murmured, and his knees almost gave up under him.
Damn her, damn her to hell and back, but even after all the pain she had inflicted on him, after all these lies and betrayals she was still able to set his heart ablaze.
She was the only one who ever could.
"Hange," he said, swallowing down 'shitty four-eyes'. That wasn't her. Not anymore. He lost his four-eyes four years ago, the night before they've ventured to Shiganshina.
Before him now stood a stranger. A stranger he was still reluctant to harm.
"You knew this was going to happen," he told her.
"I guess this is it." Hange nodded.
She didn't try to shoot at him, didn't call for help.
She knew it would only delay the inevitable. She was always too smart for her own good. Apparently that part of her wasn't a lie.
But everything else was. That's why he did what he had to do.
With a heavy heart, Levi took a step forward.
***
"Ah, and here I was worried it'd be a boring trip with only Captain Brooding as my companion." Zeke tilted his head, offering the most charming of his smiles. "Professor Hange, seeing you is always a pleasure. I'd shake your hand, but," he shrugged, pointing at his tied hands. "I'm in a rather unfortunate predicament."
"Zeke," she chocked out, shifting her gaze from him to Levi. A heartbeat later, her eyes widened in realization.
Too smart for her own good, Levi thought, watching Hange deliver a vicious kick to Zeke's thigh, fiery despite the bindings on her own arms and legs.
Watching that was almost satisfying.
"Asshole!" she raged, kicking him again. "Scheming, pathetic betrayer!"
"You're the one to talk," Levi noted dryly.
At the sound of his voice, Hange froze. She calmed down immediately, bowing her head.
Zeke observed the two of them, a malicious spark in his eyes.
"So my earlier guess was right, Captain? You do miss—"
"Shut the fuck up," Levi warned in a low voice. "Or my previous threat would become a reality."
Zeke curled his lips in a smile, and, maintaining direct eye contact with Levi, he had the audacity to wink at him. “My lips are sealed.”
Levi reached to his blade.
"What is going on here?” Jean walked onto the deck, stopping Levi from using his very sharp weapon on their very precious charge. Jean looked around, frowning in confusion. His eyes widened, as they landed on Hange. "What is she doing here?" his face changed, jaw tightening.
"None of your business," Levi muttered, sheathing his blade and pushing Jean away.
"None of my business?" Jean repeated, glaring at him. "I think it is my goddamn business, when you go against the plan without discussing it with us first."
"Careful, Kirshtein," Levi narrowed his eyes. "Despite the stupid democracy, I'm still your superior. Meaning you will do as I say."
"Captain," Jean grabbed his elbow. "I know how you feel about—"
"You know shit," Levi hissed, his low voice almost getting lost amongst the celebration around them. Stupid Floch and his band of fanatical idiots. "This has nothing to do with my so called feelings. But we need to question her. In case you forgot, she is one of Marley's best engineers."
"Exactly," Jean retorted. "She's valuable to them. That's why you had to kill her. Without her they'd be lost."
Without her - I'd be lost too.
The ruckus around them had been growing louder and louder. It was getting hard to concentrate, even without the added distraction of Hange's eyes boring into the back of his head.
He swept his gaze across the deck, looking for Moblit. He needed someone to put an end to that merry festivity, he would have done so himself, but the way Floch and his friends shouted and cheered made him doubt that he'd be able to calm them down without throwing some mouth-breather the fuck out of the airship.
He motioned for Moblit to come closer, ignoring Jean’s enraged gaze, when suddenly, out of nowhere, he heard a sharp cry, the still familiar voice shouting,
"Gabi, no!"
Levi whipped his head around, his eyes widening as he saw Hange - somehow freed from all bonds - launching herself at Sasha.
He rushed there, the malicious voice in his head chanting - this is all your fault, all of it is your fault, it's your inability to let go that is going to-
He stopped when the thundering, earsplitting sound shook the previously cheerful atmosphere.
He froze, staring at the scene with dumb confusion. The smoke rising from a rifle clutched in child's hands, the bullet flying, soaring through the spot where Sasha was standing seconds ago.
She didn’t try to—
He allowed himself to take a breath.
She saved Sasha, he realized, staring at Hange, who wore the same perplexed expression as he did.
"What is going on here?" Armin's soft voice cut through the air, making every head turn in his direction.
"The Marleyans got onto our ship!" one of the soldiers reported.
"Should we throw them out now or—”
"They're just children," Hange spoke up. "They don't know what they're doing."
"Hange-san..." Armin gasped. "What are you—" he turned to Levi. "Captain, what is the meaning of this?"
"She's Marleyan engineer and strategist. I decided it'd be wise to capture her."
"Alright, we'll deal with this later..." Armin muttered, rubbing his forehead. "And about those children..."
"The girl almost killed Sasha," Jean said, coming to stand at Armin’s side.
"Don't touch her!" Hange cried out, covering both kids with her body.
"Don't order me." Jean spat. "You're not my superior officer. Not anymore."
"And yet I still know you, Jean," Hange stared him in the eyes. "I know you're not capable of harming a child. Think of what your mother is going to say."
"You know nothing about me!" he growled, his fists trembling and his face reddening in anger. "You lying, deceiving—”
"That's enough," Levi sharply interrupted. "Moblit, help me deal with our prisoners. There are a lot more of them than we’ve expected."
Moblit nodded readily, obeying his command without a question. As he led Hange back to her place, his grip on her was gentle and his eyes were sad.
Approaching the two children, Levi stared them down, silently ordering the girl to put down the rifle. She surrendered with an annoyed huff.
Her demeanor changed, however, as soon as Levi's gaze turned to her friend.
"Don't hurt Falco, please," she whispered, sniffling. "He isn't guilty, he's not like me."
"No one is going to hurt you or your friend," Levi rolled his eyes, scoffing. "We're not that much of devils."
Putting his arms around their shoulders, he led kids to the back of the airship.
As they were passing Zeke, the girl - Gabi, Hange had called her - stopped in her tracks.
Her lip trembled, as she gawked at the shifter. "M-mister Yeager? You're here too? B-but why?"
What a goddamn circus, Levi cursed.
He sighed, pushing them forward before the beast could even open his mouth and feed the poor kids a lie, or, worse, reveal the truth about his betrayal.
Once he tied the girl and a boy down, he closed his eyes and heaved a deep breath.
Two angry Marleyan children, the bearded beast and Hange fucking Zoe, a person he dreamt about every night he slept for more than two hours. And all of them were aboard one damned airship.
There was one thing Levi was sure of - one hell of a fucking trip was awaiting them.
