♡ TREATS FROM A SECRET ADMIRER - Rui Kamishiro and Tsukasa Tenma x Reader

Rui:

If there's one thing that Rui isn't used to, it's the idea of having a secret admirer. Most people could barely tolerate his existence, but the fact that someone admired him to the point they'd bake for him...It was unheard of!

He thought it was a pleasant accident when he found the baked treats on his desk. Perhaps someone had left them for the wrong person?

However, when they quickly became a daily thing, he couldn't help but feel...a tad flustered

Someone went through the trouble of baking treats just for him, and it was clear that they were a really good baker

He might have been flustered by the baked treats, but once his secret admirer leaves notes? Oh gosh, he feels like he could melt

Each note was full of a loving sentiment that he was not quite used to. Even a simple "I hope you have a good day!" makes his heart flutter

Was it weird to be falling for a faceless stranger? Maybe, but he couldn't bring himself to care

It was him falling for his secret admirer that caused his concern when there were no treats one day. Or the next day. Or the one after that

He hoped his secret admirer was okay, maybe he should try to come early to see if they were back?...

He always wanted to meet them, just to see how wonderful they were face to face. So, he makes it to school early that day, and finds you

You had gotten sick, and almost felt bad that you weren't able to leave Rui his usual treat and note. So, you decided to give him an extra treat today

What you weren't expecting was an all too familiar chuckle behind you. You froze, slowly turning to see the one person you never wanted to see you

He grins, stepping closer to you before glancing at the treats you had laid on his desk. "Ah, it's lovely to meet you, my secret admirer."

Tsukasa:

Tsukasa prides himself on being a future star, which is why the thought of having a secret admirer makes him incredibly flattered! Especially one who left him treats, it was absolutely wonderful!

He was shocked at first when he found the treats on his table, but it was definitely a pleasant surprise! They tasted wonderfully too!

He was even more pleasantly surprised when he discovered that those treats were left for him daily!

Not only were they the best baked treats that he had ever tried, he was also happy that someone recognized his stardom!

Once his secret admirer starts leaving him notes, he feels absolutely wonderful! Each note gives him just the boost of confidence that he needs to get through the day!

Even messages that are as simple as, "I hope you have a good day!" motivate him quite a lot! He wishes to leave his secret admirer his autograph as thanks <3

He was falling for his admirer, but how could he not? They seemed wonderful, the perfect co-star material!

He takes notice of the things that happen to his loved ones, which is why he grows concerned once the treats stop coming in for a couple of days. What happened to you?

This simply would not do! He wished to check up on his secret admirer, but he never learned their name. Perhaps he should ask around?

No no, he always found that learning things on his own always worked better. He decides that he'll come to school early, just to see his secret admirer and make sure they were alright

You were sick for a couple of days, and felt very upset that you couldn't drop some treats off for Tsukasa like usual. You decided to give him more than usual that day

As you laid the treats out neatly on his desk, you heard an all too familiar gasp behind you. Turning around, you find the very person you admired staring at you with a wide grin

He laughs with excitement, walking up to you and asking if he can hug you. Whether you hug him or not doesn't change his reaction, "My lovely admirer, how wonderful it is to finally meet you!!"

Do you think Garth not having any close bonds with any of the other titans screwed him over in terms of popularity? I think him and Donna should’ve been closer since of course Atlantis and Themscyria are similar in terms of both being greek and sharing gods not to mention he can just pop up at their island anytime if he wanted while you know…not actually stepping on it.

I think that they didn't figure out what they wanted Garth to be until the late 90s. They didn't even give him the name Garth until 10+ years into his existence. I feel like Aquaman himself was never that popular of a character beyond memes about the cartoon. Donna is also not super popular in the mainstream certainly not like Wonder Woman in any case. But she was the only female cast member of the titans for so long they had to keep her around. Or else Dick's only female friends would be his ex's (Kori and Babs) and Roy's his adopted mom (Dinah). Wally quit the team because he was The Flash and they didn't need him to be with a teen group. They needed him to grow up and hold a title on his own. Like Nightwing getting a Nightwing comic lead to a massive decrease in Titan relevancy. But Roy and Donna they don't have their own titles that were ever super big hits.

Garth on the other hand most people don't even know what he and Arthur had going on. They really could have had a drama series out of it like the Batman shows but they went goofy. But just think underwater royalty. Your father is your liege. He tried to kill you. I digress. The 90s comics also show that Aquaman is standoffish, rude, and doesn't play well with the heroes everyone likes better. In the 94 comic when he's rude to Kyle I wanted him to die a little bit. Garth is the underling to a generally unlikable character. And while the first Aquaman movie was pretty okay for a dcu movie... they did like all of it at once. But without Garth.

Dick becoming Nightwing and Jason being the robin who died is pretty much the best DC will promote as far as teenage sidekicks go.

So I think being an aquaman character hurt garth's popularity. i think them not capitalizing on the potential attractiveness of a sea 'prince' with purple eyes who can do magic hurt his popularity. i think not having garth in a teen titans comic tell someone about arthur's attempted murder hurt his popularity because everybody likes a horrific mentor mentee bond. Have Arthur in a JL comic awkwardly ask Bruce how you rebuild a bridge you exploded.

I think that tying down Garth with Tula so early into his run was boring. I think that Garth should have had some sort of Ariel and Eric romance. I'm not sure a connection to any of the titans would have helped per say. But I do think putting him in a supporting role to Nightwing to the Flash to other more popular characters would have boosted him by likability alone. There are a number of potential avenues they could have gone it to boost Garth's popularity one of which could have been not erasing him in the new 52 and putting some bland magician in his place and trying to exclude him from as many aquafam moments as possible

So I know you’ve done a post where you replaced the 6 ofa quirks. Could you do this but you’re limited to just mutant quirks. If this is too difficult then transformation, and if is still difficult the just emitters but your free to keep some like black whip for example

The issue with Mutant types is that they are too strong as they are, involve some physical enhancements, or just aren't that interesting. When picking out Quirks for this, I prefer the idea of weak Quirks growing stronger and that the new Quirks are worthwhile features, not further supporting the already immense power of "One For All". So I will try to stick to the two categories. I will give an honorable mention to "Beast" though. It is redundant with all the strength boosts, but hey, it could work as the dangerous super mode and could have a lot of fun design choices.

Zoom: Considering the lack of sensory abilities with the Quirk, this could help a lot with that. This could result in either growing to include more kinds of refined senses or being able to develop more kinds of senses in the eyes, either of which could be useful. Even then, it could have a cool to see it charged with "One For All", maybe going into a speed thinking state similar to "Overclock".

Jet: This is kind of redundant with Izuku's abilities, but I think would add another layer to it. Besides the consistent flight offered, it could be neat to see Izuku open up holes at any point in his body to project the air, using it to augment other parts his body, suddenly push himself around to redirect his body, or use it to make more focused, powerful blasts of his air attacks at any point.

Pliabody: This could wear a lot of hats for Deku. It's could help with ability to work in rescue, increase his survivability with evasion, and the stretchiness could a lot of fun options with the enhance physic. Rather then simply increasing the power output of "One For All", it simply gives the user more options to apply it. Think something like the various tricks Luffy has pulled off in his story.

Scales: I did consider "Hardening" because of how well it fit thematically, but I went with "Scales" since I think it had more to offer. Not only do I think that the grow scales could be fun to play around with, like making weapons out of them or firing them out on bursts of wind, they could have some fun combinations, like applying an effect through shooting out the scales, such as making bursts of air come out of them when used with "Jet".

Tape: While it could simply be my enjoyment of "Blackwhip" making me want to pick this, I think "Tape" can bring it's own to the table. Not only could Izuku use it to swing around and bind people, but I think would be great with rescue work, similar to how Sero uses it but on a larger scale, tying back whole structures together. Then it has some fun potential with other abilities, like using it with "Pliabody" to effectively make it act more like rubber.

Quad Arms: This may seem like a silly choice, but I think this would make for an interesting for one of the earlier Quirks for "One For All". Imagine instead of simply having two arms, it lets you duplicates parts like "Dupli Arms", but all around you body. Not only could this create so many interesting attack combos, but could be giving him more chances to apply the other Quirks, like more eyes for "Zoom", or combing the Quirks in other ways, like making super massive arms made from the "Scales".

*cracks my knuckles* Okay fam I GOTCHU here's my Ultimate Guide on how to become an expert shiny hunter extraordinaire

1. Find a mass outbreak Pokemon you want to hunt for. The easiest way to reset for a mass outbreak is to go back and forth between Jubilife Village and any place on the map.

2. Go to the campsite nearest to the outbreak. TURN OFF AUTOSAVE. This is crucial because you do not want your game saving your progress at the wrong time and screwing you over. You can turn it off in the options menu. Once you've done that, save your game manually.

3. Head on over to the outbreak and clear it out! This can be done in two ways: Battling and defeating all the Pokemon present, or catching them until they stop spawning. My best advice on how to do this quickly is to find a patch of grass if there is one, press B to duck there and hide, and chuck wing balls or any other alternative at the Pokemon from far away. If you find a spot close enough and would rather toss regular Pokeballs, you can do that too. (I recommend playing handheld for this bc the motion controls are way easier to handle when you have your Switch on a more solid surface.) Another method I've seen a lot of shiny hunters use is tossing a smoke ball so you can't be detected. Whichever works best for you! Also keep in mind that only 4 Pokemon will pop up at a time in a mass outbreak. If you notice there's only 3 Pokemon or less on the map, that means you've seen all of the available spawns.

4. Cleared out the outbreak and there's no shiny? Time to reload your game! This should take you right back to the campsite where you put down your first save. From here, go back to Jubilife.

5. If all goes as it should you can check the map and the outbreak should still be there. If it isn't, reload your game and try again. Outbreaks are random so sometimes they'll reset on you, just keep reloading the game until you reach a point where the outbreak you're hunting for is still available. What this does is it completely re-randomizes the map and changes all of the static Pokemon encounters, giving you another chance to find a shiny in the outbreak.

6. Head back to the campsite and save manually. (If you've done this right and are counting, this should be the second time you've saved your game.) Rinse and repeat steps 3-5.

7. Eventually through enough resets you'll find a shiny. As soon as I hear that sparkling noise I save my game IMMEDIATELY. (You do have the backup save at the campsite so you can run into the shiny again from there, but I do this out of an abundance of caution, and so I don't have to trek all the way back to the outbreak location.) I ran into a shiny Gardevoir a couple days ago that booked it as soon as it saw me but luckily since I saved right before I just reloaded and caught it the second time :'D

This method is proven to work!! I say that because I've caught like 6 shinies over the past three days doing this. Of course there's things you can do to increase your odds even further, i.e. having the shiny charm, having the Pokemon at research level 10 in your Pokedex, and having a perfect completion of all their research tasks, but even without those things mass outbreaks have boosted shiny odds to begin with.

Afaik this is the fastest and easiest method to shiny hunt, the longest hunt I've had so far was for Zorua and that only took an hour and a half. The shortest hunt I had was for Staraptor and I literally ran into a shiny on my FIRST reload, so it took probably about 4 minutes. It really comes down to luck but it's super fun and it's definitely way easier than shiny hunting in regular Pokemon games!

So TL;DR:

1. Find the mass outbreak you want to hunt for

2. Go to the campsite, turn off autosave, and save manually

3. Clear out the outbreak

4. If no shiny, reload your game and go back to Jubilife

5. Go back to the outbreak site. If it's no longer on the map, reload your game.

6. At the campsite, save your game again. Repeat steps 3-5.

7. Shiny get!!

as much as you love your daughter you weren’t planning on having a super big birthday party for her just because..,., well, she’s probably not going to remember most of it considering she’s two and also it’s just the five of you celebrating at home, so you thought that a cake and a bunch of presents would be good enough of a celebration

of course, when you told jimin about these plans he looked like he was ready to bury you alive which is why he insisted that he’d take care of the food and the drinks and basically the entirety of hwayoung’s birthday party and told you that all you and yoongi had to do was sit back, relax, blow up a couple of balloons and also choose a cute birthday outfit for hwayoung

(jimin actually ended up taking over that part as well. he bought her a new birthday dress and a brand new pair of shoes to go with it.)

“everyone can relax! the star of the show has now arrived!”

the sound of the front door slamming shut suddenly shatters the silence and you smile lightly when you see jungkook sauntering in as if he owns the place

“good morning, kook.” you hum, jungkook looking up at you before offering you a lopsided grin, “actually, the star of the show is still fast asleep in her room.”

“oh, right-” jungkook snorts, dismissing you with a flick of his wrist, “i mean, yeah, of course this is hwayoung’s special day- but check it out! i picked up her birthday cake and brought it back here and i didn’t accidentally ruin it somehow!” he raises the big blue box in his hand with a beam, “i’m incredible!”

“that thing looks huge, jungkook!” you frown lightly, “i told you not to go crazy-”

“please tell me you didn’t max out my credit card buying a giant cake for hwayoung.” yoongi chimes in, leaning over and folding his arms atop the banister, “i hope you realise it’s just going to be the three of you having to eat it all-”

“it’s hwayoung’s birthday, i had to splurge! you know that ‘everything is cake’ trend? i ordered a custom cake and asked them to make it look like a giant cookie! but i also ordered a dozen chocolate chip cookies just in case she’s not into the cake.” jungkook smiles proudly before pausing, “…of course, knowing hwayoung, she’s going to love the cookies and the cake, so i’m not too worried. i’m going to see if i can shove these into the fridge-”

“what’s wrong?” yoongi nudges your side to get you to look at him, “you look like you’re thinking, which is never really a good thing-”

“hwayoung’s two now.” you blink twice before turning to look at yoongi, “she’s two.”

“yes. you’re very good at keeping track of our daughter’s age.” yoongi coos, reaching up to pinch your cheek playfully, “good job, baby.”

“two years old!” you gasp, turning around to lean back against the railing before shaking your head, “my god, she’s aged.”

“oh my god, you’re right. the ripe old age of two.” yoongi teases before gasping dramatically and reaching over to grip onto your forearm, “soon, we’ll be thinking about what elementary school to send her off to... and then the next thing you know, we’ll be helping her look for her own apartment when she’s off at university... and then you’ll be going wedding dress shopping with h-”

“stOP stop stop stop-” you wave your hands before covering them over your ears, yoongi laughing lightly when you frown at him, “i don’t want her to turn two! because that means she’s going to turn three… and then she’s going to turn four… and then five, six, seven, eight-” you pause and your eyes suddenly widen in horror, “she’s going to be a sixteen year old one day- what if she turns into a bratty sixteen year old?? because i was a really bratty sixteen year old and i don’t want her to turn out like me! do you know how hard it’s going to be if she turns into me? i used to sneak home at four in the morning-”

“let’s keep in mind that hwayoung is also my daughter and i was not a bratty sixteen year old,” yoongi interrupts calmly before giving your arm a reassuring squeeze, “she’s gonna be fine! and you turned out great, so give yourself a little bit of credit-”

“i just want her to stay two forever.” you pout, crossing your arms stubbornly as you look down the hallway towards her room, “is that too much to ask for??”

“when the terrible twos hit, i guarantee you’re probably going to feel a little different.” yoongi teases, pushing himself up off the banister before gesturing for you to go and join jimin and jungkook downstairs, “why don’t you help jimin out with the balloon arch while i go and wake our little miss two year old up?”

yoongi presses his lips together tightly as he twists the doorknob, being careful not to make too loud of a sound to accidentally shock hwayoung awake

the last thing he wants is for to burst into tears at the start of her special day

he peers into the bedroom, smiling fondly when he sees a little lump under the covers shuffling a little

a chubby sock-clad foot pokes out for a second before it disappears again

“이게 누굴까요? [hm… who’s that]?” yoongi asks quietly, the lump suddenly freezing in place, “드디어 일어나셨네요… [i think someone’s finally awake…]”

he tilts his head when a messy head of hair pops out from under the covers, the corners of hwayoung’s mouth immediately lifting in a bright smile when she spots him, “우리 공주 좋은 아침입니다! [oh! good morning, miss min!]”

he lets himself into the room and reaches over to click the white noise machine off before starting to quietly pad his way over to her, his heart melting in his chest when her mouth opens up in a quiet little yawn

“잘 주무떠뜹니까… [gub moming…]” hwayoung murmurs, eyelids fluttering slightly as yoongi reaches down to push some of her hair out of her face

“잘 잤어? [hi, baby… did you sleep well?]” yoongi asks, leaning down to scoop her up, “우리 화영이 생일 축하해… 밑에서 다 기다리고 있어... [happy birthday, my darling… we’re all waiting for you downstairs...]” he whispers, rubbing circles into her warm back when she immediately clings to him, “머리에 물 좀 묻히고 내려갈까? 머리가 아주 산발이네. [why don’t we freshen up a little, hm? the birthday girl can’t take pictures with a bird’s nest on her head.]”

“딴바. [birb’s ness.]”

“i hope she likes the present i got for her.” jungkook mutters, his foot tapping anxiously against the ground as he looks up towards the top of the stairs in anticipation of hwayoung’s arrival, “i mean, if she doesn’t like it, there’s a receipt in the box so i can return it and get something else for her… but i really hope she likes it.”

“jungkook, she’s two. i gave her a wooden spoon to play with the other day and she was ecstatic.” you snort, peeling an eye open to look at him from where you’re lying on the couch before shutting it again, “i’m sure she’ll love whatever you got for her.”

“what’s the matter with you?” jimin hums, glancing at you for a second before focusing his attention back on sticking the bright pink ‘2’ candle onto the cake, “you look a little out of it today.”

“gee, thanks.” you snort, blindly grabbing one of the throw pillows before hugging it to your chest, “no, i’m fine, i just- i was feeling a little mopey this morning about hwa turning two and now i’m just thinking about how time has just flown by…”

“mm. it seems like it was only yesterday that i was holding your hair back while you violently puked your guts out into the toilet bowl.” jimin jokes, holding a hand to his chest before spinning around to face you and jungkook, “ah… fond memories that i’ll look back on for the rest of my life.”

“you know, i should’ve told yoongi i was pregnant in another way.” you suddenly change the subject, propping yourself up onto your elbows with a frown, “all i did was give him a tiny cookie. how lame is that?!”

“to be fair, you didn’t know how he was going to react, so maybe it was a good thing you went for something so simple!” jimin shrugs, making his way over to you before sticking his hand out for you to take, “c’mon, miss mopey. hwayoung probably doesn’t want to see you throwing yourself a pity party on her special day when she comes down here.”

“-화영이가 엄마한테가서 이쁜짓 해주는 거 어떨까? [-now, mama is feeling very emotional today, so i think it’d be a really good idea to act extra cute, okay?]” yoongi whispers to hwayoung, planting a quick kiss on her cheek while slowly making his way down the stairs, “of course, that probably isn’t going to be a problem for you, seeing that you’re adorable 24/7-”

“i adowbo.” hwayoung murmurs, leaning down and squishing her cheek against yoongi’s shoulder, “졸려. [i seepy.]”

“졸리다고? [sleepy?]” yoongi pauses on the steps, reaching up to adjust one of her pigtails with a smile, “이거 큰일났네, 졸리면 어떡해! [you can’t be sleepy for your morning conference. look alive!]”

“is that the sleepy little birthday girl?”

yoongi looks down to see you waiting eagerly at the bottom of the stairs, your hands clasped together and your eyes glued on hwayoung, “good morning!”

“mama!” hwayoung immediately twists around in yoongi’s arms at the sound of your voice, reaching out for you with a teethy grin as soon as yoongi gets close enough to you

“oh, happy birthday, my sweet little baby!“ you coo as you take her into your arms, squishing multiple kisses to her chubby cheek as you hold her close, “happy happy birthday, my beautiful girl…”

“ahppa bouday!” hwayoung giggles, little hands patting against your face

she leans in and smushes her nose against yours before giving you a drooly kiss on the cheek and you can’t help but laugh at how affectionate she’s being with you

see??

you want to keep her like this forever and it sucks to think about the fact that one day you’re going to set her down on the ground after carrying her and you’ll never pick her up again because she won’t need you to pick her up again

“oh…” you sniffle, suddenly feeling your nose prickle and your eyes starting to get a little tingly, “i love you so much…”

you don’t get much of a chance to say anything else before hwayoung’s suddenly being plucked from your arms, both jimin and jungkook immediately starting to fawn over her as per usual

“우리 화영이, 공주님이 따로 없네! [look at how beautiful you are in your dress!]” jimin exclaims animatedly, hwayoung clapping her hands together in response

her dress is sage green and gingham and it even came with matching ribbons for her hair and you have to admit that jimin made a pretty good choice with this birthday outfit

you probably would’ve stuck her in a pair of overalls or something

“see, what’d i say?” jimin smiles proudly, smoothing down the back of hwayoung’s dress before looking over at jungkook, “i told you the sage green was cuter- 아니 빨간 걸 왜 입혀 뭐 애를 도마로 만들 생각이니- [the red one that you wanted to go with would’ve made her look like a picnic blanket-]”

“아니 도마라니! [red gingham is classy!]” jungkook argues, trailing behind jimin while making faces at hwayoung to get her to laugh, “입혀보지도 않고- [you didn’t even give it a chance-]”

“난 그딴 거 염두에 두지 않는다 정국아- [i don’t need to give tacky garbage a chance, jungkook-]”

“hey, are you okay?” yoongi gives you a quick hug and kiss on the side of your head when he suddenly notices a tear running down your cheek, “she’s just turning two, y/n... she’s not moving out of the country-”

“i know, i know-“ you sniffle, reaching up to quickly wipe at your tears before chuckling, “i guess i’m just feeling extra emotional today-”

“c’mon, parents!” jimin calls out for you two while setting hwayoung down in her high chair, “the candle is melting and this cake is too expensive to get any wax dripped on it-”

“gookee!” hwayoung points to the cake and claps her hands as she bounces up and down on her seat, “gookee, mama!”

“yeah! cookie!” you mimic enthusiastically, smiling widely when she suddenly lets out a high-pitched squeal of excitement, her nose scrunching particularly cutely, “i’m glad to see that you inherited my love for cookies and not appa’s love for muesli.”

yoongi immediately scoffs and reaches down to give your bum a quick swat

“i know she’s saying cookie, but i’m just going to go ahead and say that she’s actually saying the name of her favourite uncle-” jungkook sighs, reaching down to pinch hwayoung’s cheek, “화영이는 꾹이 삼촌 제일 좋아하- [uncle gookee is your forever favourite-]”

“어 응 뉘에- [yeah, okay, whatever helps you sleep at night-]” jimin snorts, shoving the camera into his hands as the four of you stand in front of hwayoung, “okay, don’t touch the cake yet! let’s get some pretty pictures of the birthday girl first!”

“hwa, look into the camera!” jungkook coos, snapping his fingers to get her to look up at him, “그래 삼촌 한 번만 봐 봐- [look at uncle goo- yeah, there we go-]”

you watch hwayoung fondly as she continues to ham it up for the camera, her little legs kicking in anticipation under the tray

“good girl, you’re being so patient.” you hum before reaching over to pluck a cookie from the open box, “ooh, i’ve been dying to sink my teeth into one of these-”

“i had one earlier, they’re pretty good!” jimin nods, brushing past jungkook to get to you, “the bakery i ordered them from has, like five out of five stars one google review- hey, what’s that face for?”

“eugh- do the cookies taste a little funky to you?” you face screws up as you swallow the bite before holding the cookie up to take a closer look at it, “it’s just chocolate chip, right?”

“yeah- hold on, lemme try-” jimin frowns, reaching over to steal your cookie before taking a bite of it and chewing thoughtfully

“maybe you just got a weird one?” yoongi suggests, peering into the box with a frown, “all cookies taste funky to me, so my opinion probably isn’t valid here-”

“it’s fine, i’ll try another one later-” you dust your fingers off before perking up and clapping your hands together, “hey, should yoongi and i hop in for some pictures before hwa completely destroys the entire cake?”

“yeah, it… might be a little too late for that.” jungkook clears his throat and the three of you look over to see hwayoung’s tubby arms shoved elbow deep into the cake, “i gave her the green light to go ahead and eat. she just looked so sad and hungry, i’m sorry!”

hwayoung cackles in glee as she continues slapping her hand against the cake, her grubby little hands now sticky and her new dress stained with globs of frosting chocolate

“oh my god.” you stifle a laugh and reach up to cover your mouth so that you don’t burst out laughing at the fact that both jimin and yoongi look absolutely appalled

“i spent, like, ten minutes doing her hair-” yoongi whines, gently nudging you aside so he can hurry over to hwayoung and try to salvage the neat little pigtails he spent forever working on, “and now there’s frosting everywhere!”

“that dress was expensive, jungkook!” jimin snaps, and if you didn’t know any better you’d think he was about to burst into tears, “and i didn’t even get any nice pictures with her before she- come on, man-”

“i’m sorry!”

“ahppy bodday!” hwayoung shrieks in delight and flings her arms up, chunks of cake and specks of frosting flicking out from her hands, “i adowbo!”

he’ll always pretend like he’s doing you a favor though.

i wouldn’t go as far to say that gift giving is his love language, but he’ll buy things that you bring up in causal conversation a whole lot.

-> your approval makes his heart go $$/!/?!!!error??77776. like, even before you two started dating, he would ALWAYS feel flustered whenever you would compliment his outfits, fighting style, etc. now that you guys are dating, he still feels extremely dazed when you dote on him.

if for some reason he can’t go, he’ll make it a point to stay up way past his bed time waiting for you to come back.

when katsuki chooses you over sleep just know that you’ve won at life.

he doesn’t see you as inferior in any way. he knows you can handle yourself, but he really wants to keep you safe bc if something bad happened to the love of his life he would be in shambles.

on a lighter note, if mineta bugs you, he’ll absolutely wreck him. will literally punt that grape boy into the next stratosphere.

also!! he’s not the type to care about what you wear. if you’re wearing smth a bit more revealing, the most he’ll say is that you look hot. literally is so unbothered.

he trusts you a lot so it’s like 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️

protective ≠ possessive

-> dates w/ him are super all over the place! one weekend, you guys will just chill in his dorm and the next he’ll be laughing maniacally as he chases you down during an intense round of laser tag.

im literally begging you to touch this man. help him. he is so touch-starved it’s not funny.

in short, while dating katsuki definitely comes with it’s quirks, it’s a beautiful relationship. he respects you endlessly and will do anything to ensure your happiness. treat him right and he’ll do the same!!

As Time Goes By...(Chapter three)

A/N: This one took a while to write. I've just been so busy doing absolutely nothing all while procrastinating, so special thanks to that. No, but I really hope you like this, fellow reader. If you like the series, let me know if you want to be tagged!

(A little PSA: I don't hate John Walker: or the actor. John is a well-written character. This is just strictly for the purpose of where my story is going. I'm more reiterating how Bucky treats him in the show. Thank you!!)

You groan, rolling from your left side to lay flatly on your back, arms spread out beside you. You inhale deeply, becoming aware of the moistened dirt and crushed wildflowers beneath you as they release their aromatics. Birds chirped around you, the busy sounds of traffic fading away while you lie still in the field, oxygen feeling heavy in your lungs.

"Y/N?!"

You barely heard the worrisome calls of Sam over the sound of your heart pounding in your ears. You lift your head, the view of icy mountains in the distance, blurry figures making their way towards you while you somehow managed to sit up. Your head was spinning, a sharp ache on the side of your thigh.

Your eyes flickered down, taking note of the small paring knife lodged in your thigh. You exhaled softly, nodding your head at the sight of it. "Okay," You grumble in agreement. With shaking hands, you wrap your fingers around the handle, bracing yourself by taking intervolved breaths before carefully pulling it from your thigh.

You worked fast, ignoring the crunch of rocks and dirt under the acknowledgeable footsteps of Sam and Bucky. Taking babochka, you cut off the end of your pant leg, wrapping the spandex around your wounded thigh before securing it with one of the holsters, tying the ends into a knot. You remain quiet, carefully pushing yourself up to your feet, transferring all of the weight to the opposite leg, eyes drifting up to meet the guys. "Are you guys okay?" You murmur, dusting off the clumps of dirt and dead leaves from your jacket.

"Are you?!" Sam exclaimed incredulously. "You're bleeding!" He points out, gesturing to the bright red staining the skin of your calf as it dripped down to your boot. The wrap might've held the wound shut, but that didn't mean blood wouldn't have soaked through.

"Oh, this?" You ask, glancing down at your leg, the wound throbbing in agony, but you did your best to avoid it. "I've had worse." That was true, from all those years fighting as an avenger. Getting shot, kicked, stabbed, beaten until you were purple, and undergoing mind control. This tiny stab was the least of your worries. It still hurt like hell, and you couldn't hide the discomfort in your features.

"Do you want a piggyback?" Bucky asks suddenly, slightly annoyed at your nonchalance and still concerned nonetheless. You weren't expecting it, the odd but kind offer, especially from the menace himself. Though you weren't one to pass up being carried. With a hesitant nod, you agree, watching Bucky crouch just a bit, allowing you to climb on his back.

The position was awkward for both of you. With his hands tightening on the back of your knees and your arms wrapped around his neck, neither of you could think straight. Yet, you were still thankful. The road to the airport was a long one, and you weren't sure if you could make it in your state. Bucky held you as if you weighed nothing, his super-soldier strength showing off while he carried you on his back, footsteps matching up with Sam. He didn't mind doing it, especially since he was the one who offered, and the proximity was just a bonus.

"Sorry about Redwing," Bucky muses, breaking the silence while the three of you sauntered down the empty road. There was nothing for miles, only empty plains of grass and dirt. Young trees scattered, lacking the greenery around them, evident of the cold weather in Munich.

"No, you're not," Sam remarks, narrowing his eyes to a pinprick at the winter soldier. "You've always hated Redwing."

"That doesn't mean I'm not sorry about it," Bucky grumbles, tightening his hold on you as he felt you slipping. You gasp at the sudden strength, clinging better to his shoulders as well. "How're you doin' up there?" He asks, jaw clenching from your touch.

"All things considering," You sigh, pushing aside the butterflies in your tummy at how close you were to Bucky. "I've been better. We've gotta find out where that super serum is coming from."

"Yeah," Sam chimed in, glancing at you. "-And how the hell after 80 years are there eight super-soldiers runnin' loose?"

Loud honks of a horn ring in your ears, tires treading on the gravel as an army jeep slows down beside the three of you. "So, that didn't go as planned, huh?" John chuckles, pushing the door open only for you to keep walking, paying no mind to the man in stars and stripes.

"Okay, keep going," John utters, signaling the driver to keep up as he pulls the door shut. "Look, at least we know what we're up against, huh? And I'm pretty sure it's one of the big three...so,"

"Aliens, androids, or wizards," Lemar comments as John nods his head in agreement.

"There's no such thing as wizards!" Bucky grunts, keeping his eyes forward, hands on the back of your knees.

"Fine, aliens or androids," John settles, sharing a look with his best friend beside him. "Look, it's 20 miles to the airport, and you guys need a ride. Gary, stop," He instructs, the wheels slowing down. John opens the door once again. "Get in," He sighs, motioning all of you inside the jeep as Bucky and Sam's footsteps came to a halt.

Bucky gently sets you down, taking note of the small whimpers falling from your lips. No matter how tough you appeared to be, you still carried so much vulnerability. "You okay?" He asks, eyes filled with so much concern it almost scared you. He hadn't looked at you like that in a while. "Do you want any help?"

With a soft nod, you oblige to Bucky's ask, needing more help than you anticipated. You didn't want to add any strain or force to your injury. You didn't even realize it happened, and that part of it was Sam's fault for swooping to grab you while you had a knife in hand, but you weren't going to start pointing fingers. You wrap your arm around Bucky's shoulder, using him as support while he boosts you up on the jeep after Sam climbs up first, helping you settle beside him.

"Woah!" John exclaims, almost rising to his feet at the sight of your thigh, your hands stained with blood. "Are you okay?"

With a curt nod, you adjust yourself to relieve some of the pressure while Bucky takes a seat on your left, leaving you to be right smack dab in the middle as he pulls the door shut. You blow out a breath, knowing damn well if it hadn't been for the mishap, you would've walked the damn 20 miles.

"Lemar, hand me the first aid kit," John instructs, pointing to the steel case beside his friend. You wanted to protest, but even you knew that the strap wasn't going to work. Mouthing a thank you, you take the case from Lemar's hand and clip it open.

"Okay, so we got eight super-soldiers on a bulk supply run," John continues, the jeep beginning to roll down the road. You hand the case to Sam, asking him to hold it while you searched for gauze, medical tape, and butterfly bandages, you were probably going to need stitches, but you'd worry about that later. "Why?" John asks, watching closely as you patched up your wound.

"They say their mission is to get things back to the way it was during the blip," Sam answers, handing you another strip of tape. "Maybe they're just tryna help."

"They had a funny way of showing it," Bucky adds, his eyes trained on you, a hiss slipping through your lips as you roll down the remaining spandex. You sigh in relief, the ache becoming dull as you shut the case, giving it back to Lemar.

"Better?" John asks, earning a single nod as a response. "I don't think we've properly met. John Walker," he smiles, offering a shake of his hand, but you didn't move, only staring at the outstretched palm in front of you. "Does she talk?" John mumbles suddenly, looking to Sam or Bucky for a reply.

Your eyes cast down, gaze hardening at the sight of the shield in his grasp. Flashes of Steve running through your mind, the many times he'd catch you trying to throw it like he would. Steve Rogers meant a lot to you, having joined him in not signing the Sokovian accords, being an outlaw, and helping to clear Bucky's name with Sam. So, seeing a man who wasn't Steve hold the shield awoke something in you. Something unkind and hateful.

"When she wants to," You claim, John squirms in his seat, sensing the tension as your eyes flicker to his. "And frankly has no desire to speak to you."

"You don't even know me," John defends, glancing at Bucky, a sly smirk on his lips, and Sam, who rendered quiet, his eyes looking elsewhere. John sets his attention back on you, lips razor thin.

You scoff, shaking your head softly as you fold your arms over your chest. "Jonathon F. Walker," You begin, leaning back in your seat, your eyes never leaving his. "Former Captain of the U.S Army's 75th Rangers Regiment. Graduated at the top of your class from the United States Military and the first person in American history to receive three medals of honor, ran RS-one missions in counterterrorism and hostage rescue."

John's tongue darts between his lips, a frown spreading throughout his forehead at the information you were giving him. Either you did research on him or, you just read his file, which you had done both. You were not one to go into a mission without potentially knowing who you were up against. It was better to be safe than sorry.

"So you saw the news?" John chuckles, the frown falling from his features while he shrugs. "Big deal, so did the entire world."

"Custer's Grove High school alumni."

John's smile falters.

"There you met, Lemar Hoskins and your current wife," You tilt your head in curiosity. "Olivia, right? Or am I getting it wrong?"

Clearing his throat softly, John broke eye contact with you. So you did know him, and you probably knew more than you led on. "Do they always just stare like that?" He gestures between you and Bucky, who had displayed the same distaste for him.

Sam glances beside him, observing the matched body language you shared with Bucky, its no wonder Bucky had taken a liking to you, even if he'd never admit it. "You get used to it," Sam smirks, turning his head back to Walker.

"Okay..." John drags, eyes flickering to the more sensible one of the trio, and that was Sam. "Look, that serum doesn't have the greatest track record, no offense," He waves his hand, dismissing the insult directed towards the only super-soldier in the car.

"We need to figure out where they're going. How'd you track 'em here?" Sam asks, "The flag smashers."

"Uh," Lemar murmurs, scratching the back of his head. "We didn't track them. We tracked you through Redwing."

"You hacked my tech!?" Sam gripes, straightening out his back as he sat up.

"Sorry," John laughs, "It's not exactly hacking. It's government property...kind of the government. Alright, you know things have gotten kind of..."

"Chaotic," Lemar adds.

"Yeah," John nods in agreement. "The GRC, they're doing their best to get things up and running smoothly post blip. If you guys teamed up with us-"

"No." Bucky interrupts. He couldn't let Walker finish that sentence.

"I've got mad respect for all of you," Lemar praises, looking between the trio before him. "But you were getting your asses kicked 'til we showed up."

"And who are you?" Bucky bemuses, cocking a brow at the man next to John.

"Lemar Hoskins," You mention, "I could've sworn we've been through this." You shake your head at the old man, for being 106, he couldn't hear a thing.

"I see a guy hanging out of a helicopter in tactical gear," Sam shrugs, "I'm gonna need a lot more than Lemar Hoskins."

"I'm Battlestar, John's partner."

"Battlestar?" Bucky repeats, narrowing his eyes at Lemar as he nods, confirming his alias. "Stop the car!" Bucky shouts suddenly, brakes screeching as the wheels come to a stop in the middle of the road. Bucky pulls open the handle, ducking, as to not rail his head on the bar-frame above him before hopping off the jeep.

"Look, I get it, okay?" John sighs, calling after Bucky. "I get the attitude, I do. You didn't think the shield was gonna end up here. I get it, Bucky. And I'm not trying to be Steve!"

"Good," You interject, rendering John to settle his eyes on you. "Because you will never be. And just because you're the one wielding it..." You grab the bar above your head, using it to pull yourself up. "It doesn't make you Captain America." And with that, you carefully jump off the jeep, following after the heated super-soldier.

Sighing in frustration, he rips his eyes away from your retreating figures. "I'm not trying to replace him either. I'm just trying to be the best Captain America I can be." He explains to Sam, hoping the falcon would cut him some slack. "-And it'd be a whole lot easier if I had Cap's wingman on my side."

Sam's eyes widen in surprise, his tongue darting between his lips. "It's always that last line," He scoffs, shaking his head as he jumped off the car, following you and Bucky.

John's lips thin out, face scrunching in a scowl. "Let's go," He instructs. The sound of the jeep leaving making its way to your ears.

Endings being reshot & retweaked happens all the time, especially after test screenings. Not a big deal, key cast gets called back in for pickup shots and reshoots. Marketing dominating over directorial vision. Don't sweat the release date: things are moving around a lot but it would be pushed further back if anything, not forward. The big takeaway is that it got a release date. If that's confirmed, the film must be decent, even if it's only a small limited release, getting a theatrical release date right now means the film is good. The calendar is crazy with releases delayed from 20 pushing into 21, pushing 21 releases into 22 etc. An advertised release date means someone believes in it enough to put $$$ in to advertising & distribution. Now, the question is: how wide will the release be? How many screens? Or will it be a handful in LA & NY to boost its award's chances? That time of year, they'll be working the festivals & going for awards recognition. Stunt wise? That'll either mean, they'll be together for awards or they'll do the break up & "exes drama/now we're friends" on the red carpet scenarios. It would depend on the Styles camp, their tolerance for tying their property up & how hot the appeal of the relationship stays. He's touring so the "distance & different commitments" breakup would be a good one. Especially, now that she has secured a release date: his audience appeal & her recent visibility no doubt helped but the pressure may also be to keep the high profile relationship going. I'm thinking a longer relationship, hopefully lower key than of late, but with that other movie in the can? They'll be wanting super het Harry with hot director star girlfriend to offset. Yeah, bet she'll be busting out those dance moves a few more times. Low key for a couple of weeks but betting that Harryween will be a spectacle. Boost visibility in key markets.

Heavy sigh. Yeah… I can’t really argue with anything you’ve said. It all makes sense. I’m just praying that they tone down the bullshit so we see less if her/less of them together. She wore out her welcome months ago.

There are real life autistics who need help. If you could just try and signal boost content from autistic creators or even donate to asan or Autistic women's and nonbinary network that would be super helpful. I don't really want to see allistics fawning over a fictional autistic character to show me their support. I'm sorry but that's kind of useless in the grand scheme of things.

Hey QuirkWizard! Zombie anon here and I’m the person who had the quirk review for the zombie quirk so I made some alterations to it based off what I got from your message which I appreciate and here it is!

Zombie: this is a mutant type quirk that causes it so that the user has regeneration over their body and their skin seems paler than a normal person while their eyes appear sunken and always tired. The reason for this is that the user essentially has deadened nerves so that the user will move slower and will not feel pain instead only feeling a sensation when ever injured but it isn’t painful to negatively effect them. The user has a minor defense boost to assist them. Their regeneration has a limit on what it can regenerate with it being a slow acting generation that can only heal the user slowly overtime and the regeneration struggles on widespread injuries compared to smaller injuries. So for example a bunch of small paper cuts over the user would heal slower than the user being shot in the brain or heart since the damage would be in a smaller area. The user can be killed if the damage to their body is widespread enough to damage fifty percent of their body. The user needs to eat meat in order to keep up their regeneration and receives no negative side effects from eating raw meat and can safely do so even being resistant to viruses from that.

So can you tell me what you think? Like any buffs or needs I need to make and thank you and I really appreciate the feedback… also do you any more ways I could make it more like a zombie which is what it is based off of instead of it just being a worser super regeneration quirk that acts slower and with more limitations but needs meat and has a minor defense boost and cool zombie aesthetics? I’m trying to make it more zombie like while I want it to be its own thing that a hero could genuinely use for a OC… anyways thank you and I love the blog a lot!!! TY!

Well, I'm glad you found it so helpful and I hope you find this helpful as well.

So yeah, I think this can still mostly work. I am a little confused with the example of the healing, as it seems to contradict that it does worse with smaller injuries, but that's about it in terms of the functionality of it. My only suggestion would be to maybe give some examples of the defensive capabilities of the Quirk. If the defensive aspect is the biggest part of it, then that part of it should be emphasized more with some examples. And if it's more about survivability then defensively, maybe emphasize some of that as well. Heck, it could even give resistance to certain abilities, like having issues put the user to sleep or control their body due to their unique biology. Maybe even have something where they can still function with parts of their body removed, like if you remove half of their face they can keep going for as long as it takes to get it back. If you want to make it more zombie-like, I think this as far as you can get with a Quirk. You could always try to give the user Aesthetic Mutations or personality traits that make them more zombie-like. Stuff like giving them grey skin and sunken in eyes could be form something outside the Quirk or giving them a very lethargic way of speaking as a quirky trait to reference their zombie-like state.

He was definitely relieved right after when remembering that you were on his side!! Sometimes Kurapika might joke around about not wanting to make you mad because of your power 👀

- Kurapika will encourage of how you should develop your ability more if you haven’t mastered it already! This man can tell that if you were to train more and more, than your nen will become even more powerful than it is now. The idea of your nen ability becoming stronger still,, irks him a bit (but still impressed with just the thought of it nonetheless)!!

- If you ever try to help him with his goals being that you’re confident that your strength + power might be of use, Kurapika will kindly decline at first. He would never want to put one of his friends/ his s/o at risk of getting hurt.. Though he didn’t accept the idea at first, if you’re a little persistent with you trying to help him, then this might sway his mind. Eventually, Kurapika might accept your offer, seeing how your confidence in being able to help. Of course, he still wouldn’t be able to shake down that nervous feeling of something bad happening to you, but he trusts in you and your ability.

Leorio

- He was SOO impressed by your ability, eyes fully widened as he was marveling over how cool your power was!! Seeing the way you used your ability made him soo curious on how it’d be also used against your enemies. Not only can you attack your enemies with your explosions, but the fact that you can also move through the air from the boost of your explosions makes him even MORE impressed. That’s the thing that will definitely catch Leorio’s eye the most about your ability (it’s like you’re practically flying in the air. Of course he’ll be interested)!!

- With an ability like that, Leorio will strongly encourage you to fight at Heaven’s Arena. The main thing Leorio is thinking about is the MONEY. Do you know how much Jenny you’d win from the amount of people you can take down?? Leorio would also make some small jokes about how you should give some of your earnings to him. not only that, but this man would pay all his money just for you to kick ass (Leorio would be proudly cheering your name the whole time).

- (I’m assuming that this is an emitter ability). Since you guys are both in the same nen category, it’d be easier to help each learn more about your nen and become stronger!! Leorio gets a little cocky at times, so he’ll joke around with a smug grin about he can beat you any day in a battle. If this actually happens though, Leorio’s will definitely start to get nervous, and back down because he wanted to “spare you”. Even though there probably won’t be any play fights with the two of you, it’ll definitely help if you and Leorio start training together! The fact that he’ll be around his favorite person AND the fact that he’s improving at the same time? It’s a win-win!!!
