so a thing this fandom does that remains FASCINATING to me, as a function of the fact a lot of this fandom is people's first fandom or only current fandom, is just... assume a lot of things it does is a scourge that this fandom has invented or doesn't exist outside of it? or like, is uniquely bad here? and i won't deny that sometimes mcyt fandom is a bit more intense by virtue of numbers, but like...

duo names: confusing fandom-injokes to describe duos and groups tend to be an anime fandom thing specifically for many historical reasons, but they're not uncommon. hey quick--if you haven't been in KHR fandom, can you guess what 1827 is? no? i'll give you a hint: that's actually a ship name. or, ygo fans, tell me the difference between puppyshipping, prideshipping, violetshipping, and rivalshipping. my hint is that they're all kaiba ships and two of them are actually the same ship. good luck!

reducing characters to a specific trait: have you read fic in another fandom before? i would recommend you go do so and come back to me. my example here is "sasuke likes tomatoes", for the record.

common au fanon that's confusing to outsiders: my deep cut here is "when i got into certain tv fandoms i was baffled by the existence of sentinel/guide fics", which is a slightly older tv fandom thing so many of you probably don't know what i'm on about. but trust me: in certain fandoms it's ubiquitous and unless you've watched a completely different tv show you're gonna have to entirely pick it up from reading fic. oh hey, hybrid aus and watcher!grian, nice to see your relative here,

fanon being treated as canon: did you know there's this whole bnha character, naomasa, who is treated as canonically having a lie detector quirk? did you know that, best i can tell, that's not in canon anywhere, it just got echoed through fanon enough that everyone treated it as canon? 'fanon trait becomes so ubiquitous everyone assumes it has to be there' is not a new thing. also, batfamily fans, i have been lead to understand the tim and coffee thing is also this.

characters being treated badly to make a different dynamic look better: the fact we have the term 'character bashing' tells you all you need to know, here. if anything my one complaint on this front isn't even that it's happening--it's that i wish bashing and/or "not [character] friendly" was tagged a little more frequently, haha.

characters being reduced to their family dynamics: tale as old as time. "even the family dynamic thing" yes even that. just because this fandom tended to be particularly ship-adverse in the past didn't mean it didn't do basically the same behaviors as any fandom with shipping did with those dynamics, just gen. and other gen fandoms also do that. yes, down to the "and shipping reduces them to a ship, unlike my gen dynamic, which is very in-character; why can't people just be friends?" thing. some of you have to have been marvel fans right.

The Discourse: yeah this is an "actively running show" fandom thing, but also a hiatus fandom thing. ask a homestuck about vriskourse sometime. as much as i hate to say it, it probably made doomsday discourse look cute.

and those are just like... some things i've seen people complain about on my dash recently. idk it just hit me there are probably fans in mcyt fandoms who are assuming that some things (like hybrid aus or duo names) are the kind of things that only happen here, so i thought i'd offer some examples of other places they happen! i also have even more examples if you'd like.

to be clear: this isn't shaming anyone for complaining about any of these things. lord knows i go complain to my friends about it all the time, just the other day i was complaining in the category of 'they keep bashing my guy'. it's more of just... a gentle reminder that maybe we're big, maybe we're loud, maybe we have problems... but these problems aren't always unique.

so uh. we're all suffering together i guess...?

Average height, his build is still toned but more on the leaner side because of height and anatomy

light freckles across his cheeks/nose and skin is tanner than the rest of the boys

Has 2 small cartilidge piercings, small silver hoops

Part fae, I know a few others headcanon him as fae too I just think it suits his character

Speaks and writes Hylian well, takes a bit longer to read though (he's trying his best)

Closer to Legend, they're the downfall duo :3, but also close to Sky

I wanna say he's like one of the last few boys to feel attraction towards Y/n. Fae bonding to humans is weird and Hyrule doesn't wanna freak you out and needs to really process it.

When he realizes he fell for you? Oh boy. Definitely more clingy and obsessive and frets over your safety, more than Sky even.

Major sweet tooth, favorite food has go to be spoonfuls of honey

Keeps a journal, lots of sketches and notes on herbs and flora and some thoughts on Y/n

Has a.... difficult relationship with Hylia/Zelda/the Goddess

Knows about some of Legend's past, not as much as Y/n though

Has a large scar on his lower stomach from Dark Link, and faded white scratches on his back from a past incident that I may or may not bring up later down the line

Anywayss, I headcanon Four as having heterochromia, one eye green and the other a dark blue.

Has the lightest stubble, hardly noticeable because he shaves it everyday

Recently has also started tying up his hair in a pony tail, so he honestly looks like a younger Time from far away

Has lots of ear piercings and stacks rings on his fingers, most of which he made himself from spare parts. He made a few rings for Legend and Y/n

Develops feelings for Y/n slowly, though it hits him like a brick after the Yiga clan incident after realizing how close he was to losing you

Has a few scars on his hands and arms, a few burn marks from reckless accdients both in and out of the blacksmith shop

Has a tattoo of the Four Sword on his forearm

Ironically enough, close to Wild and Wind. He's keeping a tally of how many swords Wild has broken So far it's 46

Similar to Wild, he kinda has shaggier hair, though its only really visible when his hair is fully down without the headband

REALLY GOOD AT SHIELD SURFING FOR SOME REASON-

Average height, leaner build, and I wanna say he's on the paler side. He gets sunburned crazy fast like no amount of suscreen can save him

Pink hair, duh, but its more faded than it was when he first shifted into his rabbit form. It's more like leftover on his bangs and on part of his head.

Pinky is decked out in rings, every single finger is stacked with rings for functionality, protection, etc., but some he just thinks are neat.

Double pierced lobes, a few cartilidge piercings, maybe even a Hylian-equivalent of an industrial and has a dick piercing shh

Does not like wearing pants. no sir. Only if absolutely necessary.

Can speak/write Hylian and Lorulean pretty well, though pretty rusty on the latter because he hasn't used or read it much since his adventures

Like the 4th person to develop feelings for our protagonist, he's a little lost to be completely honest. Part of him wants to succumb to his feelings, the other is terrified of losing someone again

Close to Hyrule, Wild, and Wars ironically enough (mostly because of the bickering :D)

Keeps a scrap of Ravio's scarf in his bag, holds it sometimes.

Has a deep long scar along his forearm from a fight, some burn marks from the fire rod. He also has other scars that he doesn't show or discuss, those are difficult to talk about. He wasn't in a good place after.... everything.

Snarky and grumpy, but he softens up around people he trusts. He just needs time and love ₍ᐢᐢ₎

a/n— i love this trend sm, this is just in my opinion so uhm, yea also this is my take on the "okokok" and "lalala" trend. wrote this in like 50 mins i think cuz i was scrolling through tiktok and all to get some info/ideas.

✧ they're an "okokokok" type of person. (slightly) introverted and calm. they don't mind listening to you rambling, if anything, they love it! if you ever stopped talking because you thought they weren't listening or anything, they would immediately pause what they were doing, their face softening. ✧ they would ask if everything is alright and/or tell you continue. if you don't, they would start with asking what happened after where you stopped and of course, your eyes light up and you continue telling your story, rambling about what happened that day, what you felt and etc.

✧ or, alternatively, you could be rambling about your day, something that happened significantly, and he would be staring lovingly at you, his eyes boring into yours, watching as you talked with your hands... he may or may not have been paying attention to your words, rather, your adorable face—you cheeks began to warm under his intense gaze. and so you stop talking because your brain can't literally function. and he may or may not have teased you about it <3

✧ just because they rather listen to you doesn't mean he doesn't chime in or add comments there and then. he also responds and might even talk more than you, but he still loves to listen to you.

✧ they're logical and serious. never the one to mess around in public (only with you privately). if you ever feel shy to ask for food or anything he's already asking it for you (ugh my heart)

✧ he's exceedingly chill. could care less about other people OR care about them but only thing for sure is that he cares about you more.

✧ he's your "lalala" to your "okokok"/"lalala", you two are like THE duo!!!! although they do speak more than listening, he will always be there to listen and help you through your hard times!!! their first thoughts is to make you laugh, of course.

✧ just like the "okokok" type of person, if you're too shy to ask for food or something that you really like he's already up and going to the counter AND getting what you want :))

✧ they overthink everything like!! 24/7!! and may be a hopeless romantic!!! i can see them being very caring and loving <33 rambles about anything you could possibly imagine.

The podcast was Steve’s idea.

It had started with a joke from Heather. She’d took one look at Billy and Steve’s accidentally matching gym clothes and told them they looked like a failing alpha bro podcast duo. The type of guys who’d talk about being alpha males. Billy had laughed hard but it had made Steve think.

They’d been best friends since kindergarten and were functionally inseparable. Billy had seen Steve through a long period of deep, dark depression and Steve liked to think he’d helped Billy through Neil. Most podcasts Steve had listened to, the hosts didn’t even sound like they liked each other. They’d be perfect.

It took Steve about a month to convince Billy to put himself in front of a microphone. For a guy with a 300k follower Instagram thirst trap account, Billy was crushingly self conscious about his voice. He’d been on testosterone for three years but still felt like he sounded “clockable.” It wasn’t until Steve promised that if they got even one comment about Billy’s voice, they’d immediately delete the episode, that Billy agreed.

Between the two of them, they had absolutely no qualifications to start an agony aunt podcast. Still, the first episode was released onto Spotify and it had a surprisingly warm reception. Most of their listeners were queer or neurodivergent and were asking about what to do when a hookup went wrong or how to go outside without having a panic attack.

It was heartwarming really, the affect Steve felt that they were having. Two trans guys talking openly about sex, relationships, social faux pas, fitting in and the occasional tangent on oyster forks wasn’t exactly common. And their audience seemed to cling to them like two older brother figures.

It was perfect. Should have been perfect. It was just that there was a bit of a side affect.

As it turned out, spending every week with your best friend, who was physically just your type, and was also just an absolute sweetheart, led to having a crush on said best friend.

That is if you were Steve anyway. Shit.

Most guys on realising they were crushing hard on their best friend probably would have done something normal, like tell him. Not Steve though. Steve endeavoured to lock himself in the broom closet and scream before every recording session of the podcast.

It would work. Hopefully.

Then Billy started getting random listeners proposing to him via email. They’d read them out before every advice segment and Billy would either accept or decline depending on how funny he found it but it still made Steve die a little inside. Billy felt like his in some intangible, indescribable way and even jokes about marriage felt like suffocating.

He redownloaded Grindr the next day. The guys on there left a lot to be desired, especially compared to Billy but at least it stopped Steve from feeling quite so lonely. He flirted, made decisions that made Robin tut and generally started morphing into the kind of hot mess Steve had been in his late teens.

Billy didn’t seem to notice. That is until he did.

Steve was very late for recording the newest episode, a silly one about accents. He hadn’t remembered to shave so the patchy stubble that hrt was helping him grow in was a mess. There was gum stuck to to the bottom of his shoe. Something had gotten spilled on his shirt.

His co host once again looked delicious. Delicious and worried. So worried in fact that he dragged Steve into the very closet that he’d spent almost two months hiding in.

There was only so long Steve could hedge around the issue. Not with Billy worrying about all the things that could have gone wrong, anxious brain in overdrive. Steve had to tell him.

A short, excruciating silence followed after Steve admitted his crush/budding love. One that the slightly irrational part of his mind was convinced would culminate in Billy punching him again.

That didn’t happen.

Instead, Billy called him a dumbass, they made out under a precarious tin of paint for fifteen minutes, and agreed that getting together was long overdue.

The first email they got from a listener after going public about their relationship was short and to the point.

Can I propose to both of you?

And How I Think They Would Function:

SPIT (or PITS): Skizz, Pearl, Impulse, Tango Two of them would die pretty early, Pearl and one other would make it into the top 10. Whoever was with Pearl would try to sacrifice themself for them.

SIPS (PISS): Smallishbeans Impulse Pearl Skizz I think they'd name themselves SIPS but make jokes about actually being PISS (I would call them PISS) Joel would get kicked out for turning red 2 episodes in.

SLIP: Skizz, Lizzie, Impulse, Pearl Somehow, every single one of them would die from falling.

DICS: Dangthatsalongname, Impulse, Cleo, Skizz A slightly cheesy one and they'd never actually name themselves this but I think if any group of people were going to it'd be them They'd all die at the same time in a big explosion, possibly set up by one of them.

PECS: Pearl, Etho, Cleo, Skizz They would not do betrayal. They WOULD do muscles.

CESSPIT: Cleo, Etho, Skizz, Scar, Pearl, Impulse, Tango Ok....... A life series group wouldn't be this large. BUT. Picture it... The Cleo Etho duo. The Tango Skizz Impulse. Scar and Etho in the same team. Pearl with literally anyone ever. And they'd get to be called cesspit. Impules would betray his team for whatever team Bdubs is in. Cleo and Scar would die early and together. The rest would slowly fizzle out until it was just Impulse and Skizz having a dramatic standoff over Impulse's betrayal.

TRICEPS: Tango, Ren, Impulse, Cleo, Etho, Pearl, Skizz This is later in the season when PECS adopt a few extra members, becoming even more muscular. They tie 7 ways.

SEPSIS: Skizz, Etho, Pearl, Scar, Impulse, Solidarity Against all odds they would win everything ever. Then they'd sacrifice themselves one by one to try to give Jimmy the win. He and Etho would be left and Jimmy would slip off a cliff, leaving Etho to win.

What would you write if DC hired you to make a tempest/garth comic? What would be the genre, mood, setting, etc? Would it be plot focused or lore focused?

Hoo boy, this is a fun question! I'll be honest, there are just about a billion different stories that I would absolutely LOVE to write for Garth. He works perfectly in ensemble casts, has such a wide variety of powers and functions, and is fantastic at being the balance to a lot of more hot-headed characters. I also think he works well in introspective works and duo comics. At the end of the day, if played right, I think he could work in just about any story you plop him into.

This is why I have such a difficult time narrowing down just what I'd like to write for DC if asked. But I narrowed it down to three options. I think there are some other Garth fans who have similar-ish ideas (go figure people obsessed with the same character would have some overlapping opinions, hey!), so I'm sorry for anything that sounds redundant.

(1) The first and most challenging thing I'd have to deal with is what to do with the N52 and Rebirth stuff. Since DC isn't at a full reboot point currently, I doubt I'd be allowed to toss out everything from Rebirth… even if I REALLY want to. So I suppose I'd try to do my best to find a way to roll it in without affecting the pre-flashpoint canon. That is a difficult task, and the only way I can really think to remedy it is,, uh… false or altered memories.

I hate doing that kind of stuff, but I swear it would be necessary in this case. Ideally, I wouldn't have to do any of this crap and we could just re-instate old canon fully, but that probably wouldn't happen. Using this, we might be able to work backward in terms of lore for Garth and then move forward once that settles. Utilizing the vague hand-wave-y merging of things due to Dark Crisis, we could give Garth some of his old memories back but still have a whole bunch of things that are purposely left blank for him to go discover. Maybe some things that he thought were his reality suddenly aren't. At least, he can't find any evidence of that being the case. But what he does find are things that keep leading him back into what the old lore established. He could re-meet people he used to know that have been currently written out of canon (BRING BACK LETIFOS, PLEASE) and uncover his full self, as well as all the things that went down before.

I think this series might start out as a solo, but rather soon it would add other cast members. Or a rotating cast, depending on where he needs to go to figure things out. I prefer when Garth has other people to play off of, so these other members would also receive a lot of story and progression.

This wouldn't be played out as a detective thing, however. As cute as Garth would look wearing a detective's hat, that isn't really his thing. This story would take on a bit of a high fantasy, thriller, mystery… horror vibe? It would both re-establish and elaborate on his personal lore regarding Shayeris and Atlantis as a whole, and then go even further and have the story be a vehicle for explaining and adding a lot of extremely cool Atlantean lore.

I feel that this might take on a bit of a… ah what's it called,, Week by Week format?? Loosely, however. I don't need every issue to be a self contained story (although some would be!) But essentially each story is slightly more self contained, but it still builds on the last story (unless it's a multi issue arc!) And then culminates into some sort of big moment that has ripple effects throughout the rest of the DC universe.

The vibe for this would change a little bit depending on the location he's currently in/who the current rotational characters are, but mostly, I'd go for something a little spooky and mysterious. There's danger on the horizon, and you keep swimming closer to it.

(2) My second idea is also in the vein of working backward. I'm a HUGE fan of prequels and things that fit neatly into blank spots in canon. This is why I think it would be great if I could go back and elaborate on Garth's backstory. There's only been… one canon(ish) attempt at combining the pre and post crisis backstories for Garth (found within Devin Grayson's "Inheritance."). She brings up the idea of combo canons in a similar way to what I have described, where it's a little wishy-washy and false memories-like. But it's also not what I'd ideally do.

On a personal level, I love the "feral child" idea. I'm am a huge fan of the survival genre, and so the whole thought of living alone at the bottom of the ocean and fending for oneself appeals to me greatly! I do not care if that's not realistic to how irl feral children work. I will make it work here.

The whole point of this series would be to be a mirror series to Tempest (1996). It would also be a four issue mini-series that establishes the early groundwork for Garth's story later on. In this, the post-crisis backstory remains largely untouched. He was abandoned to die of exposure as a baby because of his purple eyes. In this version, Atlan would indeed be pulling strings from the shadows and causing certain things to happen or not to happen. Essentially, making sure Garth lives while otherwise allowing him to be a feral child. He might interject random bits of knowledge/influence into Garth's brain as he sees fit to lead him to where he wants him to be later on. However, unlike Devin's version, I want Garth to have (or regain if we are working with the story I mentioned above), as many memories from this part of his life as possible. Different people remember different amounts of their childhood based on a variety of factors, and this often includes how well they are able to communicate with others. I, personally, can remember just about every major event since I was two years old. For Garth, this could be incredibly different considering his only mode of communication was telepathy with fish. Regardless, I think it would be SUPER interesting if he COULD remember this part of his life to a degree. I love the thought of him having emotional guilt later down the line for scavenging already dead fish or other sea life (as I don't believe he'd eat them after he became aware of the morality surrounding it), and carrying that with him. I also want some very tense moments where he is put in very dangerous situations that make you question if he'll survive (even though you technically know he will.) This could be a way to add back in his fear of fish as well if it's due to a traumatic experience with one/a school of them.

I want this whole time period to be very physical. As I said, I LOVE the survival genre, so exploring the different situations he could have ended up in alongside the mystical, otherworldly elements would be something I would adore writing about!

Overarchingly, this would also be very lore focused, and the vibe would be… desolate. I want it to feel lonely, isolating, and frightening.

(3) Pulling away from the aqua-genre a little bit, I'd love to write a story that is more firmly planted on the surface-world for Garth to be a part of. As I said earlier in this post, Garth has the potential to fit into multiple different places, and I don't think he should be relegated to only things to do with the underwater world. His relationship with the Titans is incredibly important and definitely should not be ignored. This is his most firm connection to things on land, but I wouldn't be against branching out into things such as JLD either!

That said, I think that it would be so much fun to write something for him that expands on those already existing relationships he has with the Titans.

I don't want to say TOO much about it since, well, I am currently writing something using this as a concept, but the general idea behind it is to take already existing relationships he has and expand upon them. If you are already familiar with Garth, you know how important the Titans are to him, …and how unimportant he is to the Titans.

Okay, this is only half true, as Garth does consider these people some of the most important people in his life-- and he is one of the three founding members of the team-- but the unfortunate fact is that they don't consider him nearly as important as he considers them. There's a lot of love and nostalgia, but his relationships to many of them are not very well expanded on simply because he wasn't there for the relationships to develop further.

So, personally, I'd LOVE to see an expansion upon one or more of these relationships he has formed through the team. To do this, I'd really love to see a duo comic. Garth may not work long-term as THE main character, but I think he could be fantastic as a part of a duo. This allows him to have someone to play off of. In my personal version of this, I have him playing off of Roy.

As many know, Roy and Garth have a tumultuous relationship. There are so many misconceptions and misunderstandings between the two of them. They clash in such an interesting way. In some ways, they both think that the other hates them. But this isn't true. (This already isn't as intense of a feeling as they've had in the past, but using the residual hurts could be a great jumping off point.) They have a relationship that COULD evolve, if only they took the time to talk and learn more about each other. This is precisely where I would love to start writing and add to that whole concept. People who are "friends," but… barely friends. People who have such a complex shared history and yet know so little about each other. People who are SO important to each other but unintentionally push one another away. I want the opportunity to expand on it.

In my fic, the two of them end up working together on accident. It's situational. Something that may not have happened if even a moment was missed.

Basically, I would love for it to be a fun duo adventure where plot, lore, and emotional storytelling combine into a unique narrative that helps progress the characters to a really interesting future point while also incorporating all of the important things from their pasts.

As I said, I don't want to spoil things too much. But the vibes are more action-adventure-y. It would mix a lot of physical and mystical elements and rely on flipping the tone back and forth between emotionally heavy, silly, suspenseful, and urgent.

Basically, I want to figure out a way to have fun with the current version of Garth. I think that SO many of the previous things NEED to be reinstated (and most of the current stuff needs to be tossed out), but at the same time, I want to figure out a way to use what's there to my advantage. It's difficult and not always my favorite, but I still think there is potential!

So uhhh, yeah.. that's what I would do if I had to take things from their current point and create some stories. Sorry for how long this got lol 😅

Considering that simple tasks were slightly disorienting, one of you trying to perform would be something else entirely. And yet, you tried, and did it, and perhaps in some ways this would enhance the quality of the experience.

As stated by one of you, Act 1 wasn't much of a page-turner, and probably wouldn't be that better even if performed competently.

Act 2 was... well, whether it was better or worse seemed like a matter of opinion.

For the sake of recapping LUCIUS' personal work of art, Act 1 was centered around 'Augustina'- a blonde wealthy-and-beautiful-yet-troubled-and-wistful young noblewoman who, despite wanting to be an artist, was trapped into the life of strict nobility and politics. After a drastic move on her part, she finds herself bandaged and tended to on the riverbank by an average-yet-attractive-and-humble-yet-talented peasant named 'Xavier'. They got together and… that was about it. A very short act to a play, frankly.

Regardless, Xavier and Augustina begin traveling together, and reach a large city, where a special event is taking place.

The 'Tourney for the Divine Chalice', a special event to win a mystical artifact that could grant anyone's dreams. Augustina, now realizing that this is her grand chance to fulfill her dream of becoming an artist, convinces Xavier to join her-- despite neither of them knowing much about fighting.

Interested, yet lacking in the proper tools, Xavier and Augustina find a foul-tempered yet kind-hearted blacksmith and his companion, who deny helping the duo at first before being persuaded (as in Augustina asks really nicely once and is so beautiful that it works).

'BLACKSMITH': 'Me and my partner will assist you in your endeavors, if you promise not to forget us when you are victorious. And also because of Lady Augustina's supreme beauty.'

Sure.

So, the Blacksmith makes Augustina a beautiful sword made from metal beyond the stars and armor that is also somehow functionally similar to a gown, and they set off.

As they reach the town in which the tourney resides, you found yourself hit rapid-fire with several characters.

Such as a rich foreign king and his foul-mouthed money-grubbing vassal that kept harassing poor Xavier, saying things like--

'RICH KING': "Hmph, despite being of poor stock, you both have an amusing way about you. Perhaps crushing you will bring me the entertainment I desire, as the Chalice is mine by right."

'CAPITALIST BITCH': "But we're going to help you anyways! Not because we like you or anything! God! It's just common courtesy here, in the Lunar Lands in which we all live together! Of course, you should know this because you're also from here! What are you, stupid or something! Gosh!"

Mhm.

Adding to the rapid-fire introductions, there was also a girl from a far-off organization protected by a massive metal warrior that kept saying cryptic things, and a young prince protected by a stalwart knight that really worried Xavier, and a pair of cold-blooded assassins, and a knight and his protege with a penchant for poisons, and an arrogant twerp surrounded by a heathen woman who kept her overcoat constantly unbuttoned, which Augustina was fine with, sure, but not when it took attention away from her and--

--In some ways, it felt like the frantic writing of someone trying to recall what happened in a dream. Regardless, as these warriors were introduced, the tourney began…

And Act 2 was over. Just like that.

As the act concludes, you realize that there are literally no lions present in this section of the play. You also realize that despite being 'Act 2', this could have been easily combined with 'Act 1', which added the further question of… just how long was this play?

So I have decided to essentially just write out what ideas have come to me for my Reaper Killcode, he's got his own little AU now that I will just call the Reaper King AU 💀 I will warn this is a looong one. Though I will answer questions about this just like with Seraphim AU🔥 if anyone's interested:)

I will write more out later as I sadly have some other stuff to get too atm... 😅

TW: Definitely going to be touching on some darker topics here, particularly murder and abusive situations so you've been warned.

Part 1...

1) Reaper Killcode is created by Ruin from the wreckage of Solars Moon, as his Killcode was active and could be salvaged from the remains.

2) However upon his activation and coming to consciousness... He pretty much disregarded Ruin immediately. Moving forward only to appease his bloodthirsty coding.

-Ruin did not like being disrespected, but he couldn't deny that Killcode was undoubtedly going to create havoc as intended... Although he still voiced his annoyance to the dust bunnies later...

3) Killcode went on a slaughter that would shame even Bloodmoon and eventually he finds his way to Stitchwraith... And it ends badly for Stitchy. As going up against Bloodmoon was one thing, but KC is a very different beast. And Stitchwraith gets murked... Rather gruesomely at that.

-The scythe Ruin gave him broke during the fight, he later customizes it to function in smaller form, more like Deaths scythes from Puss in Boots.

4) Upon killing Stitchwraith, Killcode takes the core from his body and incorporates it into his body. Strictly for cosmetic purposes, as he is unaware of the cores importance or nature.

5) Conveniently at that moment Bloodmoon broke into Stitchwraiths new lair looking for payback... Only to find a twisted heap of metal and his resurrected former father figure. To which he even kinda fell on his ass in surprise before screaming 'Father?! You came back from the grave?!'

6) That made Reaper KC pause... Being called a father genuinely made him stop and it stirred something in him. Something he didn't understand... But it wasn't unpleasant.

7) Long story made short, KC takes Bloodmoon under his wing and they leave together to go create chaos and havoc.

8) Killcode grows to genuinely care and is protective of Bloodmoon. While the Bloodtwins are more on the wary side of their new 'father' as they are far to used to being tricked into being someone else's tool... let alone how things ended with the previous KC.

9) As time goes by Killcode develops a set of morals that grow to govern how he kills his victims and he sets out three 'Laws' that both he and Bloodmoon must abide by.

-Never kill children

-Never kill anyone truly incapable of fighting back

-Never kill anyone you are indebted too

10) Naturally Bloodmoon HATES any kind of rules. But... The fact these are not just rules for Bloody, but he's giving himself these rules as well makes it slightly more tolerable. And again, Bloodmoon can TELL how powerful this KC is and how they still need to play things safe...

11) Ruin eventually starts to antagonize Killcode with electric shocks, similar to the system he built into the twins. This gets KC seething mad and he and Bloodmoon come storming back to the Pizzaplex Daycare looking to kill Ruin, but he will happily start killing anyone in his path so... Bad times are about to be had.

12) However luck is on the side of the Celestial family and they manage to knock Reaper Killcode and Bloodmoon into the portal and send them into a random different universe. Not only (Hopefully) ending the threat of the murderous duo, but also getting the core far away from the Creators grasp.

-Boy was the Creator miffed at that...

13) Deposited in a random new universe with seemingly no way to return home, the first thing Killcode knows that they need to do is to assess exactly where they currently are and what they will do next.

14) Turns out they were teleported into the middle of a National Forest/Park in another universe. It's a large mountainus region with a few different hiking trails and camping areas. There are also old mine tunnels and caverns particularly within the largest mountain in the very heart of this region.

15) There are also several small towns in the vicinity of this park, between this and the plentiful amount of tourists and park staff it was only natural that Killcode and Bloodmoon choose this location to be their new home.

-They set up their actual home in one of the most spacious caverns inside the mountain and furnish it with a few items that they can scavenge.

16) What is also interesting is that this region is also home to a unique breed of wolves that can only be found here. Called 'Moon Wolves' due to the unique patterns within their fur. The breed is marked 'Critically Endangered' due to immense poaching and overhunting. Killcode grows very fond of these wolves and essentially tames the pack. Especially one of the larger wolves, which he names Muerte.

-They're his dogs...

17) At first Bloodmoon isn't too fond of this. As he's definitely not fond of animals he can't kill. But that changes as he sees this one of the smaller wolves that bears a unique, yet ugly deformity... Essentially having two heads...

-That one becomes Bloodmoons puppy...

My two cents on the Ossan's Love Thailand pilot trailer

Disclaimer: 1) I have watched the original Ossan's Love (S1, LoD, Returns; AU Season and specials are on my list) and liked it a lot. 2) I am an EarthMix fan so I might be slightly biased.

Overall my reaction to the pilot trailer was one of relief. While I definitely noticed some areas for improvement, all in all I am now more hopeful than ever that GMMTV will do this justice.

What I really liked: - Krit Shahkrit seems like a very solid choice for the Boss. I have not previously seen him in anything but what we saw of him in the trailer has me sold. He is younger than he could have been, they are playing it a little safe here possibly, but the age difference is still big/noticable enough that I don't mind at all. - The choice to make Mo a long-time friend of Heng instead of a recent new colleague feels appropriate. Mo moving in with Heng after barely knowing each other might have not worked in a Thai context. (Also EM chemistry is too strong to sell them previously not knowing each other without the excuse of love at first sight they had in ATOTS and MLC) - They actually let Earth be funny in a BL! - On a more serious note, most of the comedic moments landed right on point for me. (The scene where Heng tries to hold Mo back by his collar as he runs away is what fully cemented it for me that this will work) Earth is a great (but severely underutilised) comedic actor and Earth and Mix as a duo have great comedic chemistry. - Earth being the younger one in a potential romantic relationship is a breath of fresh air. He's got good chemistry with P'Krit. I don't think this will actually happen (GMMTV will prob play it safe) but I could see them going for more of an actual conflict in regards to whom Heng will fall for unlike the original where it was pretty clear from the beginning that Haruta had only platonic feelings for Kurosawa. - Earth is doing great with the awkward moments. He is clearly not an actor who is afraid of being the idiot and that's very important for this character.

What I think needs to be imroved: - They need to decide how much they want Earth to imitate Tanaka Kei's style of physical comedy and then stick with it throughout. This felt a little inconsistent to me in the pilot trailer. - Mix needs to get a little more confident when facing off agains P'Krit. His performance felt the weakest in these scenes and I'm pretty sure that's because he wasn't yet completely comfortable getting in this veteran actor's face. I have no doubts that this will get better if Mix gets the chance to practice a little more with P'Krit. (I'm assuming there was not much prep work done before filming the pilot trailer because Mix was quite busy finishing his degree in recent months) Leave the respect for your elders at home, Mix!

Other thoughts: - I hope they move Mo's initial confession back into the shower. Haruta's nakedness really added to the scene in the original and Earth is no stranger to taking his shirt off for the camera so I don't see why they would have to change this. (My hope is that they changed it for the pilot trailer because they didn't want to waste time covering up Earth's tattoo(s), they could potentially seem out of character for Heng) - It seems Choko got replaced with a daughter. That's a shame. I liked her a lot in the original and I felt that she and her relationship with Maro were an important part of the story, especially on the thematic side. I'm willing to see where they go with this, though. - Thor as Ten who I'm assuming is the thai Takegawa is also a bit younger than the original, we didn't see much of him in the pilot trailer so I'm reserving judgement on this decision. - Kapook who, I'm assuming is taking the role of Chizu (though it seems that some of her advisory function might move over to Mo on account of him also being Heng's long-time friend) felt like a perfect fit - Champ has at this point become an EarthMix staple. MLC being the only of their shows he wasn't in. I'm here for it. We haven't seen much of him but I'm sure he can do Teppei justice. - The accidental hand touch while hanging up posters was not convincing. I'm reminded of the slightly awkward hand-interlocking as Jim and Wen stood in front of the soon to close diner. (Am I the only one who notices that every time I see that scene?) - I wonder if they will actually change the wedding scene to have Mo interrupt or if this was done to make the pilot trailer more concise. It would be a shame to loose this classic example of a JBL run. (They did the run in CMT, they should do it in OL!) - If I remember correctly the forhead kiss was in the original as well, but it also works as a cute call back to the atots airport scene.

TL;DR: Earth can do comedy, I'm glad he gets to finally show this in a BL. EM chemistry is chemistrying as usual, this time with more crack energy. Issues I had were probably mostly caused by limited prep time and limited shooting time for the pilot trailer. I think it's gonna be good and that makes me happy.

silly draft because i saw bucky and peter found family and it’s consumed me slightly.

hydra peter who is the only agent that is always on the winter soldiers side, the two are never seen without the other — hydras rumoured dynamic duo. the two never really conversed, it was quiet whispers and signals between the two.

sometimes, the two would share the briefest moment of eye contact— an unspoken acknowledgment of the other. it mostly was between the agent and the winter solider but on a rare occasion peter and bucky would share a confused look.

either way, the second a mission was over they would be separated— the agent sent off to his room and the winter solider into his ice.

but then bucky snaps out of it, and suddenly the winter soldier is out of commission— they say he’s lost his way and that he’ll be home soon enough but the racing of their heartbeats tells a different story.

peter doesn’t care though, all he needs to worry about is following orders and completing missions perfectly. but the absence is noticeable, the agent is left to watch his own back; peter has nobody to count on and it was confusing, when would he be back? the two functioned better when they were together, why hasn’t he come home?

his worries never affected the outcome of his missions, the agent couldn’t afford making a mistake, and when the winter solider returns he’ll have to catch up and start carrying the weight of these missions— because peter is getting pretty tired and more and more confused as the days go on.

As someone who really loves Smokescreen but sees almost nothing with him in it, thank you for your valuable contributions to the enhanced quality of my life. I would love to see more of your AUs! I wonder if there’s something you could come up with where instead of being an Elite Guard and being mentored by Alpha Trion, our favourite Destiny’s Child got interested in the medical field instead? I think he might be a little squeamish, but still see it as a great cause!❤️❤️❤️

And I do actually have something like this! It’s not exact, but it’s pretty close in some aspects

basically, it’s an AU where Smokey wasn’t training to be an Elite Guard and instead was actually training to be a Rescue Bot.

Now, what Smokescreen was doing was incredibly dangerous. After all, given functionalism Smokey could very well be killed for what he’s trying to do since he wasn’t forged with a medic frame or hands. The only thing saving him from getting carted off somewhere is the protection being a Rescue Bot (albeit in training) offered. Maybe his superiors end up pulling some strings, maybe fudging some numbers, maybe offer him some secret classes, but as long as Smokescreen does well and avoids staying out of the spotlight, he can pursue his dream

And because I love characters crossing paths, he ends up befriending Heatwave :D

the two first met when they were sharing detention in the Academy together. Smokescreen was racing in the halls (it's not his fault it was the fastest way to his classes) and Heatwave had gotten into a fight (you should see the other guy). Smokescreen, being the slightly nosy but well meaning guy that he is, ends up fixing up some of the dents Heatwave still had because Hey What Better Way To Learn Than With Practice, and things just spiraled from there

now, these two were as thick as thieves, and their teamwork was impeccable. Anyone with working optics could see they were going to be a great team after graduation, and when Blades, Chase and Boulder join their duo to make a quintet that future only looks brighter. The 5 of them were among some of the best in the Academy in their respective fields, so combined they were going to do some great things

There was the slight hiccup in these plans with how Smokey was a year younger and thus would be graduating later, but they'd already made plans and started the paperwork for him to be transferred to Sigma-17

.........but then barely a few weeks before graduation, things don't quite go to plan :)

Smokescreen is...... absolutely DEVASTATED when they're presumed dead. His teammates, his best friends, all gone in one fell swoop

he admittedly starts spiraling a bit after that. He all but drowns himself in his work and studies, severely neglecting his health for a while. He actually ends up landing himself in the academy medbay a couple times, much to his shame. The rest of his final year passes by in a blur and when he graduates he...... really isn't doing a whole lot better. His superiors refuse to assign him to another active team because given how poor a track record he has with self care and how dangerous things have gotten because of the war that was practically sending him off to his death. However, they had to do something because if they didn’t Smokescreen would just get tracked down and killed by the Council

so he gets assigned to the Archives as the medic in charge of caring for the Elite Guard members there

And as much as Smokey hates it...... he also knows they're right. Hell, he's not even sure if he could handle being assigned to another team at all, and he sure as hell isn’t going to let himself die after all the work he put in to get here

The others wouldn’t want that

Alpha Trion is a god send and helps give him the space needed to work through his grief, plus some general good advice. He even commends Smokescreen for his bravery and determination to become a medic. Things are a bit…… awkward with the Guardsmen since they weren’t as open minded as Trion, but it’s easy enough to avoid them and he does eventually earn their respect when he shows them his skill

But of course, this just makes things hurt even worse when the Fall of Iacon inevitably happens

when he crashes on Earth, Optimus is then left with a decision, which honestly could lead to this AU going in two different directions. On one hand it would probably be best to send Smokescreen to Griffin Rock for his own safety. This is the middle of a war zone, and Smokescreen isn’t at all built for combat. However, because of his crash landing Megatron knows Smokescreen exists and that could potentially put the other Bots and even Griffin Rock as a whole in danger

however, regardless of how long it takes Smokescreen is eventually going to reunite with the rest of Sigma-17 and it’s going to be F U N :)

(also just the general chaos of Smokey being able to have multiple alt modes because it’s my headcanon that’s a thing mostly exclusive to rescue bots, with some exceptions)

a couple thoughts on this edit:

first of all, if i am being very honest, my favorite dynamic in bbs is the jindapat siblings. they just feel so genuine in both their bickering and their love. i adore how pha guides pat through his emotions and how pat supports his sister. i love how pha puts pat in his place and how pat sincerely listens to his sister. also that coming out scene between them is very, very dear to me ♥

but then, bc i am a hoe for wai, our bastard son, i had to make this edit. i adore this dysfunctional duo. no matter what comes down and how much of a bastard wai can be and how much i just want to punch him in the face sometimes even if i also want to cradle him to my chest and tell him it's gonna be ok, i am insane about the pranwai reationship. i have so many thoughts on it and how it came to be. bc there obviously exists a backstory to explain why wai is so very protective of pran, why pran is so very willing to help wai out of all trouble he causes, and why these two don't really know each other while claiming to be best friends. this is an union of two broken hearts and i will die on that hill.

and to end this short ramble, a couple of notes: - the codes on these edits mostly don't work. sorry about that. (i think the only functional one is the one in wai's solo pic so go listen to that! haha) - lyrics in these songs don't matter basically so just look at the title - i find it amusing how i associate pranwai with blue and red while patpran are the iconic red-green combo. there's a lot to think about in there. - none of this is intended as any type of hate or slander towards either of these characters. i love both of them dearly ♥ - sorry if the template is slightly distorted, i had to make it myself from a scratch and it was a challenge...
