interview
Tumblr media
pairing: mikey madison x female reader
warnings: none other than a shitty boss and some tension
“Hurry up they’ve arrived.” My boss struts into my office, face screwed up into a scowl as always when seeing me. Tapping my desk, she gestures to the door. “Well don’t keep them waiting or you won’t have a job anymore.” She snaps banging her fist against the desk.
Flinching slightly, I nod apologetically, standing up and avoiding the woman as I exit the room ignoring her snarky “Fucking lazy,” comment as I head towards the interviewing room.
Inhaling deeply, the anger and sadness fuelling my mind being shoved down deep as I open the door, a smile now placed on my face. Mikey Madison and Jenna Ortega both turn my way at my entrance.
“Mikey, Jenna, it’s great to have you here.” I chuckle heading towards the pair with my hand outstretched. “Thank you for having us.” Mikey smiles, her voice instantly setting off butterflies in my stomach. Her eyes find mine as we shake hands, a blush setting in on my cheeks, and if I’m not mistaken hers too.
“Yes, thank you.” Jenna smiles, my eyes snapping to to the other woman, the two of us shaking hands. “Are you guys ready to get started? Do you need anything before we begin?” I ask finding myself stuck gazing at Mikey a lot more than I should’ve been.
The two of them glance between themselves before shaking their heads. “We’re good.” Mikey replies sending me a smile that causes my heart to beat even faster.
Heading to my chair in front of the two women, I can’t help but glance at Mikey who I catch already watching me as I sit down. Clearing my throat both to sound somewhat professional and to make sure I don’t choke on my words in front of Mikey and Jenna I signal to the camera crew to begin.
“So what has this Scream experience been like for you? Is it everything you thought it would be?” I ask directing my question at both of the women although my eyes somehow manage to slide back to Mikey as she stares at me, a cute smile on her lips.
“I think I went into the movie not really having any expectations other than just wanting to, you know, like throw myself into it and give one hundred percent of myself and just do the best that I can do, um, so I think like, everything has exceeded any expectations that I’ve had by like ten times over.” Mikey explains glancing from me to Jenna.
My eyes drift towards her hands as she talks wishing nothing more than to relieve her anxiety, a feeling I know all too well, but as she finishes talking I have to refocus my brain, looking up at Mikey with a kind smile as Jenna begins, agreeing with Mikeys statement.
Listening to Jenna’s comments on my question is hard when my eyes continue to drift towards the other woman. Sneaking a glance towards her, our eyes connect, her smile growing wider as an obvious red tint coats my cheeks. Her fidgeting stops for the minute as we continue to lock eyes, her stare almost daring me to say something or do something about the tension between us.
“And yeah, like Mikey said my expectations were very much blown.” Jenna shrugs. Her closure snaps me back to reality. “Well thank you girls for coming, I really appreciate it honestly.” I smile, my rapid blinking and red cheeks causing both women to chuckle. “You seem flustered.” Mikey teases in her soft tone, a cheeky glint in her eye. “You know maybe you should stick to answering my questions rather than teasing me.” I retort, the same glint in my own eyes.
“Talk like that to our guests again and you’ll be out of a job, and lord knows who else will hire a shit show like you.” My boss stalks into the room chuckling and glancing at both Jenna and Mikey as if encouraging them to laugh too.
My mood drops, tears pooling in my eyes. I turn my gaze to the floor in hopes of avoiding more torment from my boss or even the women before me. “Is this how you treat all your employees? Because that’s a horrendous thing to say to someone who has just given me the best interview of my life.” Mikey’s calming tone lures my head back up, her light frown and rigid stature causing my boss to freeze.
“No no of course not, it’s a joke, we have a running joke don’t worry Miss Madison.” My boss smiles condescendingly. I don’t say a word, a simple glance in Mikey’s direction enough to convince her of the lies. “That’s not true.” Mikey replies, Jenna’s head nodding beside her as she too frowns at my boss.
“I think it’s time for you all to leave.” My boss chuckles gesturing for the door. “I agree.” Mikey nods standing up and dusting off her pants. She smiles, walking towards me and extending a hand. “Come with me?” She tilts her head slightly with a light scrunch of her nose as if worried I would say no.
Placing my hand in hers, warmth spreads over my entire body almost like a safety net. “Let’s go.” I inhale glaring at my boss.
Jenna pats my back gently before leading the way out the building. “You leave this building and your done. Don’t think about returning.” My boss sneers.
Mikey’s grip on my hand tightens. “Then I quit.” I smirk with a shrug following Mikey as she gently pulls me towards Jenna.“I’m sorry if I ruined your job, or you wanted to stay.” Mikey cringes letting my hand go to play with her rings once again as we make our way outside.
“Hey, no, I wanted to thank you. That woman’s been like that for years, I’ve never said anything in fear of being called dramatic. So thank you. Honestly you didn’t do anything wrong.” I reply tentatively reaching for her hand to stop her habit.
Mikey let’s her hand fall into mine, a large smile on her face. “This means you’ll be free for a date now at least.”
hey guys :) if you can’t tell i’m currently obsessed with the scream 5 cast. i love them all. but have i watched the movie… no because i’m a pussy. i will eventually i promise but like… anywayyy love amber love mikey 👩‍❤️‍💋‍👩

We just left five guys after seeing two houses. And it was fun! My voice continues to be gone but despite that annoyance, today ended up being great. I really couldn't have asked for a better day, all things considered.
And!! It is my husband's birthday! Congratulations James for joining me in being in our early thirties! I woke up a little early so I could sit with them and open one of the three packages I made for them.
We started with the card I made them. It's a victorian purse card and I don't have space to include it in this post but I will make a post if it's own. James said they could tell how long it took and really appreciated how I tried to emulate notes being passed as a child.
The opened the first gift and it was sock and a new hat but also the shirt I design for them. "Lucky to have the best wife" with a bunch of pictures of my face. They laughed so hard. I wish I got it on video it was such a sweet reaction. They wore it for the rest of the day and looked so cute. I'm glad they liked it.
I had to leave soon for work though. After a few extra hugs I headed to camp.
I got stuck in some traffic but it was okay. I got to camp and drove around making sure the last things were set and ready. Celia was waiting at the office and I would let us in so I could get some things printed. She was not sure if the eyrie was unlocked and so she wanrd to wait. Despite me saying we haven't been locking it. But it's fine.
Elizabeth was a great support today. I was nervous about my voice but I was also hopeful. I went to the hacienda to wait for parents around 9. And they slowly made their way in. I kept apologizing for my voice. I was trying my best to be clear even if I wasn't able to be loud. I know everyone was struggling to hear me though. We realized pretty quickly that while in person they couldn't hear me, on the walkie I was more intelligible. So I got the idea to use two walkies as a mic. Elizabeth was not sure because of feedback but I was sure I could figure it out.
After walking the parents around and getting them settled I went to get the last parent who was at the pool house still. I walked her up and went to deliver popcorn that was dropped off to the Pueblo. And then I went back to the office to ask Elizabeth to print more maps and schedules for me. Because my laptop was plugged into the screen at the hacienda so I didn't have time to go back and forth. She helped me out and I was off.
And then the bus was there! Except they went to the wrong place. Ah well. Once they got to me they all came in and sat down and were so sweet.
I told them I could not get louder and I had a plan. And we tired the walkie and it worked!! Elizabeth was standing at the door trying not to laugh because I was also just being funny with an the PowerPoint. I was pretending to be a stand up comedian with my timing.
And it honestly gave me to much power after not being able to talk for almost a week. And so I talked for a half hour and honestly had the best time.
Even though the school came 15 minutes late I was able to get us back on time and we were able to do the fibers program. But at this point my voice was dead dead. I couldn't even really whisper, you can't hear me if there is any other noise. So instead I wrote down some instructions on paper and held it up like a ring girl. Just walking through the space and stopping so the 2nd graders could point and finger read. And then they would go "got it.". Thumbs up. And they were just great.
I would have to give some announcements over the walkie but I was very squeaky and struggling. I tried my best.
During the first program I cleaned the room so that the other school that was there today could have a horse hair free lunch. Then I was dropping off the check and getting my book. I posted up on a log in between where my programs were happening and it was just beautiful and I was feeling good.
Mostly. I am still coughing. But once I'm out in the nice air I feel a lot better. Plus it was just a beautiful day.
The rest of the day was pretty uneventful. Everyone was doing great. I had to type out what I needed to say on my phone because I was so quiet. And that's when the main teacher apologized for being a little scatter brained. And she let me know that the raven group has no chaperone. Which means 8 second graders had been following the map and schedule by themselves all day. I was just like. Oh. Well they did a great job. But inside I was face palming and just being like. How did that happen and how did it take us 2 hours to notice. They did a great job though and honestly I would have this group every day. Excellent kids.
At the end of the day I went to the hacienda to start moving chairs and while I quietly did that while the kids were packing up and finding their things some of the parents, and then the kids too, started helping carry the chairs outside!! I hate asking groups to help but man does it make it faster. And the chairs weigh nothing because they are aluminum. So even the kids carrying two got to feel big and strong but no one needs to be worried about them getting hurt.
Nick, Sarah, Celia, and Dachelle came and helped clean all the tables and swept while I got all my materials packed up and out outside. They would go do a trash run while I started driving around and collecting my stuff.
Celia would join me and helped me pack my car before she went to go feed the animals.
I went back to arts and crafts to unpack and start repairing things. That's the big plan tomorrow. Some stuff needs to be replaced but mostly it's maintenance. As this was my last feildtrip of the semester.
I was a little upset to find one of my space heaters for some deer fur on the prongs of the cord and was burning a little. So dangerous. So I got that handled but it was a little scary!
Once everything was inside I started repairing some fire sticks. But at 330 I decided that was enough for the day.
I went back to the office and Alexi let me know there was a child abuse training I needed to do. But it wasn't loading on my old laptop so I promised to do that when I went home
And that I was leaving a few minutes early so I could go and get a pumpkin pie for my husband.
I went to the grocery store so I could go to their bakery, which is always very nice. Camp goes there for everyone's birthday. I first found a pumpkin pie dip?? Apparently they are known for it, and I got the recommended swedish ginger snaps to go with it. Then at the bakery counter I apologized for my whispers and ordered a pie. Which looked great. The boy at the counter whispered back which I thought was delightful. I love that that is what people keep doing. Just "oh we are whispering!!" It just seems very kind even if it's not necessary.
I went home after that. Got stuck in some traffic. Had to drive directly into the sun. But it was okay. I got home a little after 430.
And I was so happy to see my birthday bean husband. I gave them the treats, they opened the other presents. They loved the rocket notebook and the fidget and keychain tools I gave them. They also really liked the sterling frisbee charm I got for their necklace. Which I think looks so cute.
I would have to go jump into that training course. Which was just an hour. I did it very quickly while I also was cutting my cuticles. And when I was done it was basically time to go.
We went to see two houses tonight. One I liked a lot, though it was small, and one that was horrible.
The first one I not only liked the house, I liked the block. It has a community association building two doors down with a really cool mosaic mural outside. And no broken buildings at all. The inside though was very funny to me. It was yellow! Almost every room has the walls and ceiling painted yellow. It needs work, but only a little. It does need appliances but that isn't unusual for the ones were seeing. Will just have to factor that all in. But I really did like it. It has the landing space like the first one. It didn't have a finished basement but it did have a little backyard and backs up to a green space. The floor upstairs had a slope and it only has a shower in a really small bathroom, but I could see us being really happy there.
The second house though. This was not good. While the bedrooms and bathrooms were bigger, it has so much water damage. On the ceilings of both floors. It was kind of a mess. Like it seems poorly flipped but then just not taken care of while they waited for it to see. Not good. I also didn't like the block as much. It was honestly to dark outside. Ah well. Was still fun. We're seeing another place on Friday!
James and me decided to go to five guys for dinner. Which was fun but also they put to much seasoning on the fries. Still good. And I enjoyed James's company even if I had to text them every time I had something to say because I couldn't be heard.
It is frustrating. I feel like I'm straining so hard to get my voice out. And while it was better today then yesterday I for sure did not help it by using it so much. I need to have a voice by Friday. It's going on the right direction, I hope.
We are home now. When we parked James ripped down the broke branch on the tree outside that kept scraping the roof of the car. Then we flipped it off and were very dramatic. Now we are eating pumpkin pie and James is playing a video game. I am ready to go wash my face and go to sleep. My cheeks are flush and I am a bit exhausted.
Tomorrow I have no groups. And I am hoping to work on my program materials and putting them in storage until the spring. And then working on some of the projects Heather asked us to do. I hope it is a chill day where I don't have to talk much. And then I have my ceramics class! I am looking forward to tomorrow. I think it will be a good day.
Sleep well everyone. Be careful out there. And send happy birthday wishes to my husband. Goodnight! I love you!

Sorry to all the people who followed me for the cute Stray art, unfortunately I am into pathetic, cringefail league men lmao
I wrote this a while ago but I really like it still, which is incredibly rare for me, so I edited it a little and decided to post it here just to have (and also so you don't have to go through a bunch of other bs just to read it lmao).
2.7k words of [character study? fluff?] for an older Jayce. Mentions of other characters, and includes child OC. (No I don't know who Amaranthine is, came here from Arcane and making shit up as we go). CW: very brief death mention (of adult character), some language, but pretty damn tame by my standards :P
-------
Jayce had never seen himself being good with babies, and he’d been right. He’d be lying if he said it wasn’t the reason he’d been avoiding hanging out with Caitlyn for a little over a decade now. Babies were intolerable. They weren’t cute, they wailed and whined like stuck pigs for hours on end, and they smelled disgusting most of the time. Babies had no care for where their body fluids ended up, and Jayce swore babies had death wishes. If something looked like it could at least be mouthed on, a baby would stick it in its mouth.
On top of that, a baby had made Caitlyn almost as insufferable to be around as Jayce was. Jayce had been avoiding visiting her and Vi's home for that one reason.
So he was fairly surprised she’d approached him for babysitting.
“I don’t know anything about babies,” Jayce replied idly, not even looking up from his paperwork and figuring that would be enough of an answer.
“Colt isn’t a baby, Jayce, he’s thirteen years old,” Caitlyn sighed, crossing her arms. “And our regular babysitter is refusing to work with us anymore since Colt managed to get in the gun closet under their watch."
“I’m busy,” Jayce tried again.
“He’s a good kid, he can just… hang out in your office, or your lab—”
“You just said the last time you left him with a babysitter, he got into your gun closet.” He put his pen down after signing yet another document of some kind, maybe a little more forcefully than necessary, and leaned back in his chair with a sigh, glaring at Caitlyn. “My office is filled with important papers that I can’t let some baby ruin, and my lab is full of dangerous tools and prototypes. Just as bad as a gun closet.”
“Colt is thirteen, Jayce! Do you know what a thirteen year old looks like?”
"Why me?" Jayce snapped, crossing his arms. No, he wasn't about to admit he didn't exactly know what a thirteen year old looked like; as far as he was concerned, babies were babies until they were sixteen at the earliest. Even so, his point stood. "I'm not a babysitter, Caitlyn."
"But you're not doing anything for the rest of the week, Vi and I have been unable to find a babysitter in time, and I can't leave Colt alone for a whole week," Caitlyn listed off, counting each point on her fingers. "He's a smart kid, and can take care of himself for the most part. I just don't want him alone for the whole week. That'd be a little too irresponsible."
Jayce sighed, turning his glare to the table. "Why are you gonna be gone the whole week?"
Caitlyn raised an eyebrow. "They didn't tell you? Vi and I have some enforcer business in Zaun, and it's incredibly important." When Jayce side-eyed her, she rolled her eyes. "Nothing to do with the Machine Herald, it's on the other side of the fissure."
Jayce sunk into his seat, now pouting.
"You're not going to convince me otherwise by acting like a child yourself, Jayce," Caitlyn scoffed, flicking him on the forehead. "You've met Colt before, you know he's not a bad kid."
"He's a kid."
"And you're an adult, and one of my best friends. Please act like it for the next week, at least."
"He's not a fan, is he? Because I swear, Cait—"
"He's Vi's kid, of course he's not a fan. But he's also my kid, so he'll listen to you." Caitlyn grasped Jayce's shoulder, pleading with her eyes. "Please? Just for a week?"
Jayce sighed. He knew he'd been fucked as soon as she'd asked, but he'd been so bored he figured the argument would be worth it. "Because you said please," Jayce relented, placing his hand over hers on his shoulder.
He could feel Caitlyn's thankful grin burrowing into the side of his head, and couldn't help a small smile.
"If he dies, I'm not taking responsibility for it," Jayce called out as she walked towards the exit.
"You would kill yourself before you let another person die on your watch," Caitlyn replied, turning back briefly at the door. "I'll tell you the details later."
And that was how he found a baby in his lab, blue-gray eyes turned to the floor and shuffling awkwardly on disproportionate, lanky limbs. He’d briefly met Colt Kiramman before, years ago when the kid was still just a tiny little thing, mostly just because he knew Caitlyn. Jayce had never really interacted with him much, though, and doubted Colt remembered him at all.
"Babies aren't allowed to touch things without permission," Jayce started.
"I'm not a baby," the baby snapped.
"Great! Then you won't act like one, and you'll follow the rules, right?"
Colt glared at Jayce from under long lashes, wide eyes wary.
Jayce rolled his eyes. "Anyway, as I was saying. You can take a book from this—" Jayce gestured as he talked, "—this cubby, only, and you still have to be extremely, and I mean incredibly, careful with these books. You can't touch the other books. You can access the bathroom as needed, obviously, and you can use the kitchen, just don't touch any sharp shit or my leftovers."
"Did you just say the s-word?" Colt gasped, eyes somehow growing wider.
"Did you just interrupt me again? Pay attention, it's a word, who cares," Jayce tried his best not to yell. He'd forgotten he probably shouldn't curse in front of children, but it was too late, and the kid would hear it eventually anyway. "You can sit on the sofa, and…" Jayce turned to look around the lab for other places the kid could go. "... and that's it. Sofa, kitchen, bathroom. Got it?" he asked, turning back to the baby.
Who was looking through one of his notebooks on a nearby workbench.
"What did I just say?" Jayce barked, storming over to whack Colt's hands away.
"I just wanted to look. It's not gonna get destroyed cause I touched it," Colt frowned. "You're mean."
"And you're being a baby," Jayce replied, quickly shutting the book when he saw it'd been open to one of his old sketches of Viktor. No way the kid noticed it.
"Who's Viktor?" the kid asked.
"No one," Jayce replied, way too quickly. Damn nosy kid.
"Is he an imaginary friend? I thought only babies had imaginary friends," Colt said, way too smugly for a kid.
"He's a real person, and he's… dead now," Jayce said, eyes staring determinedly at the notebook he'd just closed. It was just because of the conversation he heard Viktor laughing at Jayce in the back of his mind, at how terrible a liar he'd always been.
Even the baby didn't look fooled, though it managed to stop him from pressing the subject.
"Just go… go sit on the sofa, or something. I'll buy food later."
"Can we get pizza?" Colt asked, immediately perking up.
"No. I have high cholesterol," Jayce replied dismissively, ignoring Colt's dejected pout and moving back to his workbench.
About twenty minutes later, Jayce heard Colt's whining drift over to him from the sofa.
"I'm bored."
"New rule, unless you have something constructive to say or you're dying, no talking," Jayce yelled back over his shoulder.
"You're boring."
"Good. You can tell your mom that when she gets back."
"Which one?"
"Uhh. Your momma." He'd forgotten about that, but Caitlyn had told Jayce about it. Colt knew Caitlyn as momma, and Vi as just ma. "Make sure you tell her that, in fact."
"I will," Colt said, with as much vitriol as a little baby's voice could muster. "I don't like you and I'm not gonna come here tomorrow."
Jayce ignored him and continued to pore over his notes.
Two minutes later, he heard a crash from near the sofa.
"What the f— hell— ah, shit," Jayce cursed, swiveling in his chair to see what the fuck Colt had done.
Colt was standing ramrod straight, arms curled defensively over his chest, next to an old, oxidized machine he'd evidently knocked over while doing… whatever the hell he'd been doing. The machine had broken, rust crumbling on top of a dark gray fire blanket.
"I'm sorry, Mr. Talis! I didn't mean to, I was just—" the words tumbled out of Colt's mouth, clearly faster than he could think.
"Just what? What were you doing?" Jayce scowled, sighing. He didn't even recognize the machine, it didn't matter that it had broken, but gods damn it all, it was still dangerous.
"I didn't think—"
"Yeah, that much was obvious." Jayce stomped over, glaring at the machine briefly before turning back towards the kid. "Are you hurt?"
"No. No," the kid muttered shakily, and Jayce realized Colt was near tears. "I–I didn't mean it, I—"
"Don't cry. Gods, please don't cry," Jayce said, frustrated. Damn it all. He put his head in a hand, thinking hard, before deciding to grab the kid's shoulder. "Hey, I'm more glad you're not hurt. Your moms would kill me."
"I didn't mean to break it," Colt whispered, wincing away from Jayce's touch. "I'm just bored."
Jayce sighed, clapping the kid's shoulder before removing his hand. "Yeah, me too."
"What? I thought you were working."
"I wasn't really. I've had my mind on… other things, like, uhh, science stuff."
"Like Viktor?" Colt asked. "For a grown-up, you're a really bad liar."
"I've been told that. Some people say it's an admirable quality," Jayce said distractedly, squatting next to the broken machine. Oh, he thought with a little melancholy. It was the anti-gravity field, the first machine he'd built with Viktor, 25 years ago, now. Gods, it had been 25 years, a quarter century. It was just a sad little machine now, doing its best at collecting rust.
"Viktor's not dead, is he?" Colt asked, copying Jayce's squat and poking at the machine.
Jayce swatted his hand away. "Stop that, you'll get tetanus."
"I'm up to date on all my immunizations," Colt automatically replied.
"Say that a lot, do you?"
In the corner of his eye, he saw Colt flush a little, finger tracing a pattern on the floor instead. "So?"
"Just an observation," Jayce quietly replied. The kid probably gave his moms the runaround, and that was saying something, especially with what Jayce knew of Caitlyn when she was a kid. Perhaps it was deserved. Councilor Kiramman would definitely say so. And based on what he knew of Vi, she probably deserved it too.
"Well, it means I won't get tetanus."
"You could still slice your finger open. I don't think anyone wants that."
"You're touching it."
"I made it, I think I'm allowed to."
"You made that?" the kid asked, openly staring at Jayce now.
"Yes, I did." Jayce smiled as he allowed himself to say a phrase he hadn't been able to say for many years. "I made it with Viktor."
"Oh, okay." Colt shifted a little bit, clearly tired of squatting.
Jayce decided he was too. He stood, stretching his back briefly, and then threw the old fire blanket over the machine as Colt stood up next to him, also stretching.
"You don't like me," Colt stated flatly, watching Jayce bend down to pick up the broken machine under the fire blanket.
"Yeah, I just don't really like kids," Jayce grunted. He carried the machine over to a nearby workbench, setting it down with a crunch. "Not a whole lot to talk about with y'all."
"Why not?"
Jayce sighed. "You're aware of who I am."
"Yeah."
"Do you know the first thing about how Hextech works?"
Colt blinked owlishly at him. "Well… the gates are made from Hextech."
"Do you know the basic resonance formula for a Hexite crystal? Or what any runes mean?"
"No, but—"
"That's what I thought," Jayce interrupted haughtily. He lowered the fire blanket carefully around the rusty apparatus. The runes had eroded, crystal long gone from the center of the machine, hastily drilled-on clamps at the base hanging off the machine, unstable and unusable.
"I could know. They don't teach us that in school, though," Colt frowned. "They taught us a new formula in math class today, but it was just for triangles or something."
"You should pay attention in school. Those things are important," Jayce idly replied, gears turning in his head as he surveyed the machine. He was stuck with this kid for several hours yet, and they were both bored after just thirty minutes. Maybe… "In the meantime, you did break this."
"I said I was sorry," Colt immediately whined.
"Sorry isn't gonna fix this. How about you help me fix it?"
"That sounds boring."
"Shouldn't have broken it, then. Here, help me carry some new metal over. We'll have to replace some of these parts," Jayce said, placing his hand on Colt's back in a way that allowed no argument. The kid very smartly didn't argue.
Jayce found himself walking Colt through the whole process of fixing the machine, helping him screw things in place and making sure safety gear was secured before doing more heavy-duty things like welding. He told the kid about the runes he used as he carved them into new small metal plates, and that he and Viktor had almost no idea what the runes had meant when they'd first made the machine. Jayce even remembered rope, tying both him and Colt to the workbench and telling the kid about how the first time the machine worked, he and Viktor had been stuck floating in the air for a while.
It was kinda fun, and the kid hadn't complained through the whole process.
In fact, Colt even looked a little excited, and his eyes glowed with wonder as he looked at a Gemstone Jayce had handed him.
"My ma has two of these, but she never lets me touch them," Colt murmured, glancing up at Jayce like he was scared Jayce was going to take the Gemstone back now.
Jayce snorted. "Your ma's gonna bang up those Gemstones way more than you ever could." He gestured at the machine, not quite as good as new, but definitely functional (and a lot more safe now that Jayce had many more years of knowledge when it came to Hextech). The socket in the middle of the machine, dusted and fixed, seemed to be waiting impatiently for connection. "Go ahead and power it on."
"I just place this…?" Colt quietly asked, staring at the socket and hesitantly holding out the Gemstone.
"Yeah. Drop it in." Jayce quickly tugged on the rope around his wrist, making sure it was secure.
Colt quickly dropped the Gemstone into the socket and then yanked his hand back towards himself, hugging it to his chest and staring at the apparatus with wide eyes. Jayce gave a small smile as the machine powered on, arcs of blue energy surging through wires and rune plates twirling, the hum of electricity and magic filling the lab for the first time in weeks.
"Whoa," Colt murmured, staring at the machine.
"We're not even at the good part, kiddo," Jayce smirked. "Good job fixing it up."
"Thanks."
"Wanna power it on?"
The kid stared at Jayce, uncertainty in his eyes, like he didn't know whether he was supposed to agree or disagree.
"Well, I wanna power it on. It's been a while," Jayce shrugged, going to move the dial on the machine. It was stiffer than he remembered, and it clicked as it turned now, but the spell was still smoothly cast. His movements were practiced now, years of casting through Hexite ingrained in his muscle memory. The wave swept through him, much more gently than it had been decades ago, and he felt the familiar weightlessness lift him from the floor.
Colt giddily laughed, waving all his limbs around freely in the air. "This is so freakin' cool!" he whooped, voice echoing towards the ceiling.
Jayce sighed, a wide smile settling on his face for the first time in much too long. He hadn't seen the wonder of discovery in someone's eyes like that for years.
Maybe the week of babysitting wouldn't be so bad after all, as long as Colt Kiramman could keep his mouth shut.

hey! can you write one where harry invites y/n and his band mates out for drinks and they try to hand her a drink but she reveals she previously by saying like “you can’t drink when your pregnant” ...
Word Count: 2.3k
A/N: I combined this one with a request for where Harry constantly refers to Y/N as his “ex-girlfriend,” because they’re engaged now. ((Super cute. Super corny. Makes my heart mush. Anyway.)) Kinda short but still sweet. I hope you enjoy it nonetheless! Take care and TPWK.
Tumblr media
“There she is!”
His voice is drowned out by clanking glasses and the heavy bass of whatever rock song was playing through the shitty speakers in the corner of the room, but it was unmistakable nonetheless. Followed by his “greeting” were the shouts and howls of the rest of the bunch, most of them raising their glass in honor of her (late) arrival.
“My ex-girlfriend!”
Harry, despite his inebriated state, smiled widely and welcomed her as protectively as he always had in the past few weeks - relieving her person of any bags or extra weight, this time being her coat and purse which he hung on the brass hooks underneath the bar table, and inspecting her facial expression for any signs of discontent or worry. He couldn’t pinpoint the exact moment when he kicked his “dad-mode,” tendencies into overdrive, but it certainly began on that rainy, Thursday night in their shared bathroom as they sat against the wall of the bathtub with four positive pregnancy tests in both of their hands.
“Really wish you’d stop calling me that, Har,” she sneered as he helped her shake her arms loose from her coat.
“One of these days you’re gonna cause a scene.”
“'S true, though,” the drunken boy giggled.
“You’re not m’ girlfriend anymore. You’re my fiance.”
She shook her head and rolled her eyes at his antics, intending to pull him in for a quick hug and kiss when her attention was drawn away from her curly-headed brunette and towards the man of the hour.
“Y/N!”
“Hello, birthday boy,” her voice was mellow against the drunken slur that had started to take over her friend, Mitch’s.
“‘S not very nice of you to be late to my party,” he slurred as he pulled her in rather harshly for a bone-crushing hug.
“Sorry, got caught up with some work stuff,” Y/N managed to get out through a chuckle in between Mitch’s squeezing.
She saw Harry stiffen out of the corner of her eye, like he was torn between yelling something akin to, “Take it easy on her, mate. She’s pregnant for christ’s sake,” or letting the interaction play out. He knew he wasn’t allowed to do the former, as they’d agreed to wait until they could have all of their friends and family over at the same time to tell them the good great news, so Harry opted to let Mitch hug her extra tight despite his unrealistic, dramatic worries that he’d crush her fragile frame or hurt the baby in some way. She made sure to send a reassuring smile Harry’s way when Mitch let her go from his grasp.
Short and sweet was her greeting to Sarah, both of them opting to kiss one another on the cheek.
“Let me see it one more time,” her voice was quiet amongst the chatter of the bar, almost sounding like a whisper.
Y/N felt the heat climbing to her cheeks as she let Sarah take her hand in hers to examine the ring on her fourth finger. The band was gold and slim, adorned with a dainty yet sizeable single diamond in the very center.
“So pretty,” she gushed, admiring the way the gem flittered, even in the dim, tungsten-glow of the bar.
Y/N muttered a quiet “thank you,” before making her away back to the other side of the table where Harry was waiting for her with an outstretched arm, yearning to get back to what they had been doing before Y/N had to make her rounds.
As he wrapped his arms around her shoulders, Y/N caught wind of the tequila on his breath. She tasted it too, when she pecked his lips quickly and - oh god, did she taste stout as well? Maybe she’d end up taking care of him later tonight when his head was stuck in the toilet, but that seemed plenty fair considering how often Harry had been doing the same exact thing for her here lately.
“Yeh alright? Had me all worried when ya said you’d be late,” Harry’s question was asked lowly so that only she could hear.
Harry had been with Mitch and Sarah all day celebrating, hence this was the first time he’d seen Y/N since this morning when he kissed her and sent her off to work.
Y/N nodded and smiled, though her face led Harry to believe differently.
“Got sick when I got home from the office. Just took me a little bit longer to get out the door,” she shrugged, insinuating that it wasn’t a big deal, but that she wasn’t feeling one hundred percent ready-to-party either.
“Baby,” Harry half-scolded her, feeling a good portion of his buzz leave his body when Y/N mentioned that she hadn’t felt well.
“Why didn’t yeh just tell me you were sick? Coulda came home and sat with you.”
“I wasn’t going to ask you to ditch your best friend’s birthday dinner just because I was throwing up for the fifteenth time this week,” she was stern in her words and made it clear that she was fine.
“I’m alright. I promise.”
Harry’s jaw softened at her proclamation, the muscles in his torso easing up from their tense position.
“Oi! Will you two stop whispering and get drunk with me?!” Mitch shouted across the table, bursting the bubble that had temporarily surrounded the couple whilst they talked about their sweet little secret that they were dying to tell everyone about.
“You,” Mitch pointed his finger towards Y/N’s head.
“Shots. Now,” he gestured to the bartender making drinks on the opposite end of where their table was.
Both Y/N and Harry chuckled nervously, unsure of how to work around the fact that Y/N couldn’t drink without spilling the beans.
“Think I need to get some food in my stomach before I do that. Why don’t you take Harry,” Y/N urged Harry forward by his shoulder and prayed it would be enough to entertain the drunk boy.
“Fine,” Mitch glared.
“It’ll just make it hard for you to catch up later then!”
He grabbed Harry by the bicep and cleared through the crowd of people in order to get his liquor he was so keen about.
The conversation with Sarah was light, mostly about what all they’d done today and bets on if Mitch would end up needing to be babied for the rest of the night. Y/N successfully dodged Sarah’s questions about the wedding and how planning was going along, chalking it up to busy work schedules and failing to come to an agreement on a venue and date.
“Harry’s dead set on a summer wedding, but I’m fighting for a winter date,” she dismissed through a nervous chuckle when the reality was that they were unsure how to navigate planning a wedding around the arrival of their baby to make any more decisions.
It seemed like ages passed before the two men returned. Y/N was picking at the fries and sipping on the ginger ale Harry had ordered her before she’d gotten there but was interrupted when Harry and Mitch came barrelling back to the table.
He was drunk. Quite drunk. And Y/N knew that because his body felt even warmer and his eyes looked even hazier than before he’d left. She imagined they definitely had more than once shot at the bar, but she didn’t have much time to ponder that before she felt his hands snake around her waist and rest on her hips. She reciprocated his touch, looping her arms around his shoulders and laying her head against his chest.
“Love you,” Harry muttered into the soft spot between her jaw and ear, then his hands wormed their way under her shirt to rest on the underside of her tummy.
“Love you too,” he said again.
She could feel him smile against her skin as he cradled her almost non-existent baby bump from underneath her oversized sweater. Harry was the only one who saw her regularly enough to notice the minute changes her body had been going through. To everyone else, she still looked like plain, old Y/N.
“We love you more, but if you don’t stop canoodling me in the middle of this bar,” Y/N began, speaking light-heartedly and quietly in his ear, “Everyone’s going to find out and you won’t get to have that announcement party you’ve been planning for weeks now.”
Harry sighed, knowing she was right, and loosened his hold on her tummy and opting to sling an arm over her shoulder to at least keep her close instead.
“I know what you’re up to,” Mitch glared at the two of them from across the table.
This gained the attention of not only Y/N and Harry but Sarah as well. Everyone turned to look at Mitch, anticipating what he was going to say next.
“And what would that be, Mitchy?” Y/N toyed.
A pout formed on his face, arms quickly crossed his chest as he huffed.
“You’re trying to get out of here and leave me all alone on my birthday.”
“Guess I’m not even here then. I’m a hallucination,” Sarah baited with a roll of her eyes.
“We’re not trying t’ leave ya, mate. Promise,” Harry stuck his pinky out across the table as a gesture of sincerity.
“Are too.”
Mitch’s drunken rambles were beginning to sound quite childish now and became more amusing by the second.
“Are not, honey bun,” Y/N requited.
“Liars. Both of you.”
Mitch launched a bunched up straw wrapper in Harry’s direction that bounced off of his most prominent curl and landed somewhere near his feet.
“Where would we even go, hmm?” Harry taunted, resting his chin on the knuckles of his free hand that was leaned against the table.
“What could we possibly planned tha’ would be better than spending time with you lot on your birthday?”
They watched as Mitch’s remaining sobriety fought hard for an answer, but ultimately giving into his drunkness and murmuring, “Don’t know! Probably going off to screw each other or something!”
The table burst into laughter, and Y/N hid her face in Harry’s chest out of embarrassment.
“Wouldn’t surprise me actually,” Sarah quipped before taking a huge sip of her cocktail.
“Look. Here’s the deal,” Mitch tried his best in his drunken stupor to be serious.
“Prove to me that you’re not gonna leave me and take another shot.”
“Fine,” Harry shrugged.
“Let’s go back t’ the bar then.”
He started to pull Mitch along but was stopped suddenly.
“No,” Mitch was quick to intervene.
“Y/N too. If you both drink, you can’t drive home and leave me,” he said proudly as if his idea was the smartest thing he’d ever come up with.
She knew it was only Mitch being sloppy drunk and acting like the idiot he always was, but Y/N couldn’t help but feel her palms begin to sweat. They couldn’t tell Mitch the real reason why she couldn’t drink with the group tonight, so she was quickly wracking her brain for another excuse now that she’d filled her belly with french fries since giving her last one.
But there was no need to think any further, as Harry stepped in for her.
“She can’t do tha’, mate. Now, c’mon. Let’s get some more tequila. Looks like Sarah needs another drink as well, hmm?”
Harry pinched his nose in annoyance. He was trying his hardest to keep this all under wraps, but Mitch was making it extremely difficult.
“Who are you? Her keeper? Telling her what she can and can’t do?” Mitch yelled.
“No, you nunce. She can’t drink because yeh can’t drink when you’re pregn-”
Fuck.
Harry clapped his hand over his mouth before he finished his sentence, but it was too late. He wasn’t sure what he was thinking when he said it. Wasn’t even sure if he was thinking at all, to be completely honest. He silently prayed that neither Mitch nor Sarah heard him, but he quickly realized that was untrue when they both stared between him and Y/N with wide eyes.
“Y/N L/N. Are you pregnant?” Sarah was the first to speak up.
Y/N felt like she was stuck in place, only able to look at Harry with a racing chest and her mouth agape.
“I, um, I - yes?” It came out as more of a question due to her state of shock.
“I’m so fuckin’ sorry. Holy shit,” Harry exclaimed as he went back to Y/N’s side to console her.
He was spiraling in fear that Y/N was angry with him, but it was mostly the alcohol making him think so.
“You’re having a baby?” Mitch’s voice was unusually quiet for how loudly he had been yelling just moments ago.
“Yeah. We are,” she was laughing nervously as she spoke.
“Sorry that Harry ruined the surprise. We wanted to have a big party and tell everyone at the same time, but I guess the cat’s out of the bag for you guys.”
She rubbed Harry’s back with her palm, a silent reassurance for Harry that she wasn’t upset with him. Mitch and Sarah, however, they couldn’t read.
Mitch said nothing, only leaving his position beside Sarah to go stand in between Y/N and Harry. He looked at them both with an expression that resembled both anger and confusion, which only added to their discomfort.
In a split second, he had his arms around both of them, hugging them tightly.
“Holy shit! This is the best birthday present ever. Uncle Mitch and Aunt Sarah. What the fuck?!” he was rambling now, beaming from ear to ear as he ran over to pull Sarah, who was also losing her shit, just in her own seat and not on top of Harry and Y/N, into the group hug.
Their eyes caught each other in the midst of the friend-sandwich they were being forced to be a part of. A smile and knowing look were exchanged between them and they knew, despite it not coming out in the most fashionable way, their precious little bub would be surrounded by people that loved them dearly.

Celebrating 600+ Followers
i can’t believe i’m writing another celebration post less than two days after my first
this has been rotting in my head all day and might become a series in the future
Genshin Impact x F!Reader | Modernish AU | warning: it’s cute!
“I hope you don’t mind, we gave you a student teacher as well. It’s only fair since you were given the most troublesome class,” Headmistress Ping smiled at you warmly.
“Ah,” You nodded, “Thats fine.”
The elder woman patted your back, “Genshin Academy is truly lucky to have you. Your track record is impressive and you have an extremely rare vision. I think you’ll get along fairly well with Mr. Aether, he’s a good kid.”
You smiled at her, honored by her words. Genshin Academy, the elite and prestigious school, had taken you as a teacher. The education system was impressive and diverse, teaching elementary to college aged students. You were given the first year elementary school students and now a student teacher as well. No matter how troublesome the class may be, having assistance would be appreciated. If it didn’t, the extraordinary pay would make up for any issues you had.
The older woman walked you to the doors of the building and then left you to prepare yourself. Clutching your class roster, you stepped in and made your way to your classroom. When you entered your room, you were greeted by a young blonde man. He introduced himself as your assistant teacher and made some small talk before leaving you to prepare for the day. You appreciated his thoughtfulness as you tidied the room up a bit, smiling at your class pet, Dvalin.
Soon enough, the children poured in and greeted each other and you. Aether returned to the room, beaming at each child. You took attendance, ticking off each name as they all answered. Qiqi, Teucer, Klee, and Diona seemed to be the most lively of them all. They were also marked with asterisks as the worst “troublemakers” but so far things were running smoothly.
“Welcome, my name is Miss Bright,” You beamed at the children, “Let’s have a good year, okay?”
“Wow, you’re very pretty Miss Bright!” An energetic Teucer exclaimed.
Klee squealed, “I’m so excited!”
Diona scoffed and Qiqi nodded in agreement. You went through the motions, following your detailed curriculum perfectly. There were two separate general subjects, academics and control. One was simple enough, teaching the kids by the book. The other was all about assisting your students in controlling and growing their abilities as vision users.
By the end of the day you were exhausted. Soon enough the week flew by. As Friday came, you were exhausted. Most people had made these kids out to be terrible and mischievous, and in some ways they were. Yet, you had already grown very fond of all of them. They were much more tame than you had expected, save for some explosions and outbursts. Now you were stuck as some of the children were late being picked up.
“I hope my big brother gets a girlfriend like Miss Bright. She’s so nice and pretty.” You overheard Teucer whisper to the last three kids.
“Oh yeah!” Klee’s whispers weren’t whispers at all, “She’s like a princess. My brother is a prince. I wish he’d marry Miss Bright.”
“Tch,” Diona intervened, “Honestly, I wish Miss Bright had adopted me instead of that annoying man at home.”
“Qiqi thinks Xiao and Zhongli would like Miss Bright a lot.”
You giggled at their words, they were too sweet. Aether chuckled overhearing them as well and waving you off.
“Go finish up your paperwork, I’ll take care of them.” The cheerful blonde nearly pushed you out the door.
You sighed and made your way to the office up front. Paperwork was such a drag, not nearly as fun as over hearing those brats gossiping. The paperwork ended up taking up the rest of your time. By the time you were done you wanted to scream. As you left the office, a handful of coworkers approached you and invited you out. No was not an option as they insisted you let them treat you.
You were exhausted as they led you to their favorite bar. Aether followed like a lost puppy and you sighed.
“You can’t drink can you?” You questioned him.
“Ahhh,” Aether started but was interrupted.
“It’s fine! I know the owner. He doesn’t have to drink he can just babysit us.” Venti exclaimed.
Poor Aether couldn’t get out of it either. Once you entered the bar, things blurred. Immediately, your coworkers bought you many drinks. Venti was especially aggressive about drinking. The short music teacher was babbling to an extremely handsome bartender with vibrant red hair.
The scarlet haired man seemed to be a bit annoyed by the drunken chaos ensuing. Amber was giggling crazily and the school nurse, Baizhu had cornered a tall man with amber eyes, and Ganyu was petting you. Aether was awkwardly fidgeting, stone cold sober. Eventually, your poor student teacher ended up having to call a cab and carry you home. He was forced to try and navigate to your cozy apartment by unlocking your phone with your drunken face. It took way too many attempts.
You awoke the next day with a pounding headache and over a hundred notifications. The night was still a blur so you proceeded to try and take care of yourself. Aether was kind enough to go out and buy you some pain medicine and left it on your counter with your keys. It was embarrassing how you couldn’t find any memories of your adventures in liquor.
The weekend flew by until Sunday night came and your phone buzzed. You looked down and horror filled your body. Tomorrow was parent conferences. It wasn’t mandatory for parents but encouraged. Suddenly, you were tearing through your apartment trying to prepare for the upcoming doom.
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Before you knew it, parent conferences were upon you. Aether wasn’t attending because it wasn’t mandatory and you insisted he go home and rest. He had done so much for you already, you didn’t want him to suffer through it with you. You looked up as somebody knocked on your class door and opened it to see two beautiful blondes.
“Hello, is this Miss Bright’s room?” The woman’s blue eyes met yours.
“Yes,” You held your hand out, “Hello, I’m Miss Bright.”
The woman shook your hand, “I am Jean, Klee’s guardian. This is her older brother Albedo.”
The young man’s beautiful eyes bore into you as he shook your hand. You stepped aside and gestured to the tables in your room. The two took their seats and almost immediately a tall red haired man sauntered up to you.
“Hello!” His tone was cheerful, “I’m Childe, Teucer’s older brother!”
“A pleasure to meet you, Childe. I am Miss Bright.”
“Ah,” a crooked smile formed on his lips, “The pleasure is all mine. You are just as beautiful as Teucer claimed.”
You blushed and laughed nervously, but before you could answer he was shoved into your room. He turned to glare at the two dark haired men in the doorway. Huffing, he found his way to a table and sat.
“So annoying.” The shorter of the two men scowled.
The taller one sighed, “Hello, Miss Bright. My name is Zhongli, and this is my cousin Xiao. We are Qiqi’s foster family.”
Xiao stomped past you, Zhongli followed him quickly. You didn’t have time to introduce yourself to either of them before they sat down.
“How rude,” A smooth voice came from your door.
Two men stood there, a tan man with dark hair and a very familiar red head. Internally, you groaned at the sight of the bartender. It was going to be a long conference wasn’t it? You were glad you had organized your agenda so well.
“Diluc. Guardian of Diona, and this is my brother Kaeya.” The redhead said almost sternly.
He strolled through the doorway to sit at a table, all four families spread out. Kaeya winked at you and followed his brother. Now you were sure the night would be long.
No other families came, and you were left alone with the strange bunch. In the back of your mind, you were thinking of your roster and the asterisks. The irony in all of it was that the troublemaker’s parents were the only ones who showed. The room was quiet, families only talking among themselves. You cleared your throat and introduced yourself once more, starting in to your very planned speech.
A short time had passed but it felt like years to you. You felt incredibly awkward but continued on. Childe raised his hand which nearly made you laugh but you contained your amusement and paused.
“Yes?” You called out to him.
The lanky man smirked, “I’m sorry but what sort of vision do you use?”
“I will address that later on.” Your voice was kind but also stern.
This response earned several looks from the families listening. All of a sudden, their full attention was on you. The change of atmosphere had put you on edge. You tried to continue on but Childe stood abruptly.
“That’s an interesting response.” He chuckled.
“Tartaglia!” Jean intervened, “Thats enough.”
Kaeya kicked his feet up on the table, “You can’t say you’re not curious though, right? It’s only natural we want to know. This school has just as much focus on vision skills as academic skills.”
You were beginning to grow irritated. The children were more respectful than the adults. Composing yourself, you sighed. Nobody denied Kaeya’s words, although Zhongli and Jean seemed to disapprove of the attitude.
“As i said before i will-“ you were interrupted again by an arrow of water, you easily side stepped it.
Jean stood, sword in hand and glared at Childe. Diluc shoved his brother’s feet off the table and scowled. Albedo yawned while Xiao clicked his tongue. Zhongli merely observed the scene. Childe cackled at Jean which only angered her more as she dove at him.
You opened your mouth to say something but were forced to dodge a cold sword. Kaeya grinned at you but was yanked back by Zhongli. The room was in utter chaos. You gritted your teeth and once more tried to remain calm. Another arrow narrowly missed your ear and you felt yourself become enraged. Kaeya dodged Zhongli and thrust his sword at you but was stopped by a sharp pillar of light.
“That’s enough.” Your voice was cold as you used your own weapon to shove the pushy cryo wielder away from you.
As if by magic, suddenly everyone stopped to stare at you. Quickly, they sat down. Albedo’s eyes were alert now, he was suddenly interested in every word you had to say. Even Xiao seemed to have a better attitude.
You continued your speech without any further interruptions. Finally, the end was in sight.
“And to answer your earlier question,” You pushed your hair back behind your ear to reveal your vision on an earring, “I am a light wielder. I will not take any questions on it. Have a wonderful night and thank you for coming.”
You turned and exited your classroom quickly as murmurs spread across the room. Light visions were only gifted to those who were recognized by multiple gods. Light was a strange element that could mold itself and change to take shape of different elements, although it wasn’t perfect. Elemental mastery took a lot of time and the light could only bend to your will for short periods of time. Using light as anything other than itself could backfire easily. Ontop of the many complications, attaining a light vision meant going through a crisis so terrible that multiple gods had to intervene. It was a blessing and a curse.
As you headed home, shivers ran down your back. You couldn’t help but feel that you were being watched or followed. You shook it off and returned home. It was just paranoid thoughts after a rough night.
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
After the conference, you seemed to be plagued by the families. Outside of work you ran into them constantly. It was nerve wracking.
“Miss Bright, Teucer loves you so much. He’d love to see you on the weekend. We could get lunch and then have a play date with him. What do ya say?” Childe grinned at you as you exited your classroom.
“Sorry, sir” An arm slid around your shoulders, “But i’m afraid she has plans for this weekend.”
You looked up to see the school librarian with a tight smile. Lisa was so kind, saving you from his shameless flirting. Although, she often seemed to flirt with you as well. You couldn’t really tell if she was being nice or flirting though.
He scowled and turned. Lisa laughed and squeezed you tighter. She escorted you out of the building, telling you about the new books the library had just received. Her eyes twinkled as you laughed at her puns and asked her questions about being a librarian.
“Excuse me,” A deep voice said “May I have a moment of Miss Bright’s time?”
You turned to see Zhongli, one of the only reasonable guardians you’d met. So far you’d not seen him after the meeting so you felt safer around him. Even Jean had appeared before you several times, though it didn’t seem intentional. You weren’t entirely sure but you’d swore you’d even seen Xiao lurking around when you were out.
“Of course,” You waved Lisa off.
She frowned and kissed your cheek before sauntering off. Zhongli raised his eyebrows as you laughed, clearly embarrassed. The nerve of that woman sometimes.
“Sorry, she’s a friend but she’s very affectionate,” you apologized quickly.
“Hm,” Zhongli nodded and stared at you intently, “I’m sorry to bother you but is there a way I could schedule another meeting with you? I would like to hear about Qiqi’s progress.”
Your heart nearly melted. He was so kind and it was refreshing.
“Of course! How about this weekend?” You beamed at him.
The two of you scheduled a conference lunch and parted ways. From afar, Diluc grimaced. He was curious about Diona’s behavior in school. She was a very moody child. Furthermore, he was curious about you. Kaeya had also pestered you for a date so the scarlet haired man was trying to find the right time to ask you. He didn’t want to come off the way he was sure Kaeya did.
“I would also like to attend the meeting.” Xiao announced to Zhongli once he got into the car.
“Too bad,” Zhongli chuckled “It’s one on one, you’ll have to schedule your own.”
Xiao huffed at his words. He disliked the idea of the two of you doing anything one on one. He couldn’t decide whether he was jealous of you or Zhongli. He decided it was you, since both Qiqi and Zhongli seemed to be infatuated with you. He clicked his tongue, Zhongli merely smiled, and Qiqi demanded coco goat milk.
“Does she like science?” Albedo questioned Klee.
“Miss Bright likes a lot of things I think.” Klee said, ice cream smeared on her face.
“I want to know more.” Albedo stated.
Klee grinned, “More ice cream?”
Albedo nodded, only hoping Jean wouldn’t catch them.
This new job had many opportunities open up for you. With so many people in pursuit of you, who would you choose?

More k-dramas y'all should watch
So, at the end of 2017, I created a post going through my favourite dramas of all time. Obviously, I have watched more dramas since then so I have a few more dramas that everyone needs to watch!!
Strong Woman Do Bong Soon
Tumblr media
This is an obvious one, so if you haven't watched it, have you been living under a rock?? When I first heard of it just before it came out, I thought it was going to be a rip off of weightlifting fairy Kim bok joo. But boy, was I wrong!! This drama has the perfect amount of romance, comedy, thriller and crime, so it is a good all rounder drama!! The whole cast (not just the leads) had amazing chemistry. The only flaw with this drama is that it does queerbait a little. I wish they either didn't add it in the story or fully went with that the main lead is Bi.
The story surrounds a girl with superhuman strength who wants to be a video game designer. She has always hid her strength due to fear if hurting others and losing her power. She in a unrequited love with her childhood friend who is now a police officer. She then crosses the path of a CEO of a video game company and her starts to become more chaotic. With a serial killer on the loose, Do Bong Soon needs to decide if she will keep a low profile or use her powers for the better good while also falling in love on the way.
While You Were Sleeping
Tumblr media
Again, an obvious one, but it has to be watched!! Like strong woman, I was a little apprehensive of this one. Mainly because I hadn't heard good things about Suzy's acting before this came out. But it really surprised me and I really loved it! I'm a sucker for anything crime related, so with a really cute love story as well, it was amazing!! It has really good chemistry and likable characters. The second male lead is also amazing!! I usually don't get second male lead syndrome, but damn I felt it even though I also really loved the main lead. I can't really find any faults with it.
The story surrounds two people who can see the future through dreaming. This includes good and bad things. When the female reporter about dying while on the job, she quite her job to try and changes her fate. A prosecuter move across the street from her, initially they do not get on and their bond starts to grow. Together, they use both of their skills and their power to help change the future and solve crimes along the way. They also soon realise that this is not the first time they have crossed paths.
Psychopath Diary
Tumblr media
I cannot recommend this drama enough!! Honestly, it is so underrated!!! Yoon Shi Yoon's performance is incredible, he really embodies the role here. It is so funny, and sweet. You also see a serial killer low key but high key fall in love with the male lead, so there is major gay vibes. The only issue I have with it is, I wish there was a little romance involved. But it is a not a major want.
The story surrounds a pushover who is working at a stocks company. After a major issue arises, he becomes the Scapegoat of the company and is being blamed for it, even though he tried to prevent it. Due to this, he decides that he will end his life. On the way to do this, he witnesses a murder and accidentally picks up the serial killer's diary. While trying to escape, he gets hit by a car and gets amnesia. When he wakes up and reads the diary, he believes that he is the serial killer.
Honestly, please watch this drama, it is so so so funny, the chemistry of the whole cast is incredible. It also possibly has one of my favourite villians in any drama.
Your Honor / Dear Judge
Tumblr media
Yes, I am a simp Yoon Shi Yoon. He is just so good and thus role just confirms it! His acting is incredible, king of the double roles! He plays twins and you really tell when either pop up on screen which one he is. This is a really wholesome drama that makes you cry. It has some really sweet moments in it, the leads have such good chemistry. This only issues with this one is that the ending felt rushed. I hate that the TV company changed it from 20 eps to 16 eps.
The story follows a set of twins. Twin A is a top judge in Korea, who is incredibly smart and is living a rich life. Twin B is a criminal who has been screwed over multiple times by the justice system and Twin A. Their mother always sides with A and will tell B not to bother him. When A goes missing, B goes undercover and takes his brothers place. He soon learns about the corrupt world of the court system and his brother. B meets a law student who is meant to be shadowing A. Like B, she has also been affected by the corrupt system and is wanting to be a judge to convict those who have wronged her. Together they fight the system while also falling in love.
Because This is Our First Life
Tumblr media
This is a slice of life drama so will have some heavy moments in it. But on the whole, it is just so lovely and cute. The acting is incredible, they really take on the role. It also has one of the best female friendships which is not toxic, they all genuinely care for eachother and want eachother to achieve their dreams. It also has some true badass moments in it as well! I feel like all slice of life dramas have this, but it does have some frustrating moments where the characters are almost purposely making their life's difficult
The story focuses on a woman who is a drama script writer. Due to her patriarchal family who always favour her brother and being let down by her crush, she wants to move out. She ends up moving in with a friend of a friend of a friend. It is to her surprise that the person who she is moving in with is a man who is very much stuck in his own ways and likes to stick to routine. Due to their own desires to be on their own, they decide to get married to relieve the pressure that their families are giving them. This (of course) causes issues and both have to learn about their new feelings for eachother while trying to get through the struggles of life.
Thirty but Seventeen

This drama is the definition of wholesome and cute. I feel that while I was watching it, it went by so quickly and I always had a smile on my face. The romance is so cute and lovely and you could tell they really cared about eachother. The side characters were also amazing and sweet. Honestly, the acting is incredible. The female lead does an amazing job.
The story follows woman who as a child was involved in a bus accident and fell into a coma. She wakes up over ten years later and learns that her family have stopped coming to see her. While on the search for her family, she resides with a man and his brother who are now living in her old family home. The two soon learn that there are more connected than they thought. With the man trying to push her away, the more his feelings grow for her.
Introverted Boss
Tumblr media
This is a revenge to love story. It on the whole is a really cute drama where you get to see the leads grow for the better. The acting is incredible and you really fall in love with the leads and the support cast (except for the second lead). It is not a perfect drama, but it is a really easy watch with an interesting story.
The female lead is a stage actress who quits her job to work at a marketing firm. This firm happens to be where her sister used to work. She is out to get revenge against the CEO of the company who she blames for her sister's death. She learns that the CEO is extremely introverted and becomes confused by how he was responsible for her sister's death. As the story goes by, she becomes more intrigued by him and focuses less on revenge and more on helping him open up.
Vincenzo

Ahhhhh, how do express my love for this one!! It is just amazing!! The story was so well thought out and the actors did a fantastic job. It was so satisfying to watch, I wanted to be a member of the mafia lol. The villians were also incredible, like I just love this drama so much. Like Your Honor, the only issue with this one is that the ending felt rushed.
The story surrounds a Korean man who was adopted into an Italian family and became the consiglerie of the mafia. After an issue with his adoptive family, he travels back to Korea in search an insane amount of gold bars which happens to be underneath an unsuspecting block of flats. He then gets involved with a major legal court case with a pharmaceutical company. As he delves deeper into the case, dark secrets start to get revealed.

Song for this Chapter - (X)
A/N: Posted a day early because a few people asked me to, I think y’all are going to like this chapter :)
* “So what’s your pick (Y/N/N)?”
* You turn to your right, seeing Tyler’s grinning face.
* “Pick for what?” You take another modest sip from your glass.
* Conner’s throwing a party at his house since his parents will be gone all weekend.
* Half the school must be here, his house is almost as big as the Cullen’s
* Tyler exchanges a look with Conner and Mike and grins.
* The three of you and Angela are sitting in his Dad’s study, drinking his finest brandy
* You’ve just been taking very small polite sips to throw off any suspicions
* The upside to being a vampire: you can’t taste anything other than blood so the alcohol just tastes like water
* The downside: you stay drunk until you force yourself to throw it up
* “F*ck, Marry, Kill: me, Conner, and Mike.”
* You wrinkle your nose and Angela laughs
* “Gross questions like that are why I don’t sit with you guys at lunch anymore.” The others laugh and you take a sip of you drink as Tyler grins
* “It’s a game, everyone’s gone except you”
* Have they? You’ve been pretty tuned out, Jessica and Bella left to go to the bathroom like 20 minutes ago.
* To add, you haven’t seen either Edward, Emmett, or Rosalie since you all came together in the jeep.
* Things are still...different between you and Edward
* He’s not outwardly hostile towards you or anything but...
* He doesn’t smile at you anymore
* Not like he used to, with that carefree boyish grin
* Just thinking about it gets you down
* You were fairly surprised when he said he would come with you, Rosalie and Emmett to Conner’s party.
* You were less surprised when he basically abandoned you as soon as you got into the house
* You’ve been trying to see if you can hear any of your friends in the house but you haven’t been able to distinguish any voices yet
* You sigh, holding your drink out to Mike
* “Marry,” the bright grin on his face almost makes you feel bad.
* “Kill, kill” your drink sways as you point to Tyler and Conner.
* Another roar of laughter
* “Hey that’s not fair, you can’t kill both of us!” Tyler protests, you roll your eyes moving to stand
* “Fine F*ck Conner, kill Tyler. Angela you wanna come with I’m going to the bathroom”
* You want to go see what’s holding Jessica and Bella up, but you don’t want to leave Angela alone with three boys.
* Mike’s here, and nothing would probably happen, Conner and Tyler are flirts but you like to think they wouldn’t do anything like that.
* Still you don’t want to risk it.
* She nods, gulping down the rest of her drink. Following you out.
* “Did you hear that?! They said they would f*ck me!” You hear Conner shout triumphantly after you’ve closed the door
* “Yeah but they said that they would kill you first, doesn’t count” Mike says, you hear the clink of ice as you assume he pours another drink
* “Oh getting arrogant just because they said they would marry you huh?”
* “Bet he wishes it was Bella who said she would marry him.”
* You roll your eyes holding out your hand to Angela
* “So we don’t get lost.” She smiles as she takes it. You have to practically slither through the crowd
* Conner’s house is needlessly complicated. Hallways that don’t lead anywhere and so many closets.
* The O’Malleys really should have hired Esme to design their house
* “Ah, there they are!” You see Jessica and Bella leaning against the railing of the second floor. It looks like they’re talking to someone-
* Oh it’s Edward
* Jessica notices you and works her way over to you
* But your eyes are glued to Edward and Bella, they haven’t even noticed you yet. Or that Jessica left them.
* Bella’s eyes are twinkling as she looks up at him, her cheeks are tinged pink, and Edward-
* He’s got a sparkle in his eye, his mouth quirked in that boyish lopsided grin.
* So that smile is really just for her now
* They really do look good together
* “Hey what’s wrong?” You didn’t even notice Jessica was standing in front of you.
* Are you crying right now? No of course not, you can’t cry.
* “Nothing! We were looking for you and Lauren. Mike and Tyler are playing this game that I think you two would be very into” you give her a sly wink and she blushes
* “I thought we came to go to the bathroom.” Oh sh*t you did use that as your excuse.
* “Well I didn’t wanna be obvious yknow?” You say to Angela, catching another glimpse of Bella and Edward behind her, looks like she’s laughing at something he said. “Do you need to go to the bathroom?”
* You turn your attention back to Angela who’s nodding.
* “Jessica why don’t you show her where it is, you just went right?” Jessica’s eyebrows thread together
* “Yeah I did but-“ she doesn’t want to leave you alone. Before you can reassure her you’ll be fine you feel someone throw their arms around you
* For a second your heart skips a beat.
* Edward?
* “Oh my god babes you look so cute, we have to take a picture together!”
* Oh it’s just Lauren
* Wait why are you disappointed? This is perfect.
* “Of course I was just looking for you!” You nod to Jessica and Angela. “We’ll meet you both back at Conner’s dad’s home office.”
* Jessica gives you a reluctant look but nods, leading Angela into the crowd.
* You take one last glance at Edward and Bella, from here he almost looks human.
* This is the way things are supposed to be.
* “Hey Lauren, wanna do some shots?”
* Lauren has her faults, but she’s always down for anything you might suggest. It’s kind of weird, but she reminds you a little of Alec.
* So you’re a little impressed when she finds a several bottles of vodka hidden in a various books.
* “Conner’s mom has a drinking problem, shhhhh don’t tell anyone”
* Yeah you kinda figured
* “We brought vodka!!” She shouts when she enters the study earning cheers from the rest of the boys.
* Looks like Jessica and Angela aren’t back yet.
* Lauren stole your spot on the armchair so she could flirt with Tyler. You sigh sitting carefully on top of the desk.
* “You leave with one girl and come back with another, how do you do it?” Conner’s got a devilish grin as he leans in to ask you.
* You drink straight from the bottle.
* You’re going to play a drinking game, anytime any of these boys try’s to flirt with you you take a drink.
* “I’m really hot.” You say bluntly
* Conner and Mike laugh
* “Yeah-I mean, yeah you definitely are.” Mike stutters
* If you were human you would probably be nervous by this situation, you’re basically sitting on the desk between Mike and Conner. Mike is on the end of the sofa, and Conner is sitting next to you in the office chair.
* But now that you’re a vampire, you could kill both of these boys with a simple flick of your wrist
* “So what’s going on between you and Cullen really?” Mike asks and you remember the look on Edward’s face when he was talking to Bella.
* “Nothing, we’re just friends” even less than that at this point. You’re just someone who lives in his house
* you’re worried they’re going to press further on the issue and all the emotions you’ve kept sealed away will come out overflowing.
* But they don’t, maybe Conner senses somethings happened because instead he says:
* “So you would f*ck me huh?” You laugh
* “Oh my god are you still stuck on that?”
* “And you said you would marry me?” Mike is grinning so wide he’s actually grinning.
* “You guys are ridiculous.” You’re laughing so hard you cover your mouth.
* “Alright, out of the entire friend group, f*ck, marry, kill, who are your picks?” Conner leans a bit closer, you wonder if he’s been eating healthier lately, he doesn’t smell nearly as bad as he used to.
* It’s still pretty bad, but now there’s a sweeter herbal undertone
* “Hmmm you guys go first I have to think” you lightly shove Conner by the shoulder and he actually rolls back a bit.
* “Alright hmmm-“ he rubs his chin in mock thought “well marry you of course-“
* “Of course” you nod taking another swig of Vodka
* “F*ck Mike”
* “What?” Mike is genuinely flustered and you grin
* “It’s that golden retriever vibe he gives off right?” You say and Conner nods
* “Exactly! Also he looks like a good cuddler.”
* “Definitely a little spoon”
* “Definitely”
* Mike looks like he’s going to combust from the attention from how red his face is.
* “Kill.... I guess kill Edward, the less competition the better” Conner gives you a meaningful look
* Well you don’t know how to feel about that so you just take another swig of Vodka. The more you drink the easier it’ll come out later right?
* “Your turn Mike.”
* “Marry Bella-“
* “Of course” you and Conner say in unison, clinking your bottle to his glass after you do.
* “Fuck you, kill Edward”
* “Damn no love for Edward at all huh?” You say with a gasp of surprise.
* You’re a little annoyed he didn’t pick Jessica.
* You like Bella and all, and her shy bookworm thing is kinda cute, but Jessica is clearly the superior choice.
* “Don’t deflect now that it’s your turn.” Conner lightly bumps your knee against yours
* Wait when did he move from the chair and sit beside you on the desk?
* You roll your eyes and take another swig of vodka
* “Marry Jessica,” they both sputter at that, Conner actually spits out his drink mid gulp.
* Ew Gross.
* “Fuck Conner, Kill Mike.”
* Conner does a fist pump and Mike looks genuinely hurt.
* “I’m sorry Mike but it’s either marriage or kill, there’s no in between.”
* Mike pouts, before sitting up straighter
* “I bet I’m a better kisser than Conner.”
* You take a long drink of Vodka
* “No way dude, you and I both used to date Lauren and I don’t think she would have dated me again after you if you were a better kisser”
* “That was in middle school! I had braces back then!”
* “Yeah, that’s why you’re so bad at kissing.” Conner says matter of factly taking a sip of his Dad’s brandy straight from the decanter
* “No, I had to lea-“
* “Oh my god would you both shut up?” You shout and let out a huff of annoyance before reaching out and grabbing Mike by the collar of his shirt, tugging him forward
* Your lips meet his briefly, your eyes are closed, and his are open. He adjust to the situation quickly, cupping your cheek and tilting his head slightly
* Not bad
* You break away, turning to Conner, he’s a bit more ready than Mike. He cups your face with both hands, mouth parting slightly as one of his hands slides into your hair.
* You break away sweetly, with one last peck.
* “Conner’s better” you say the bottle of vodka already on your lips. Conner’s laughing while Mike protests.
* “What-no, I wasn’t ready, I want another chance!” You roll your eyes as he looks at you expectantly
* “Fin-“ he breaks you off with his lips, this time is better than the last. He’s standing, and the angle adds to the technique, his hand is on the back your neck, tilting your chin up with the other
* Oh wow.
* You’re a little dazzled when you break apart. Jessica is one lucky girl.
* “Wait if he gets another chance I want one too.” Conner protests, you just nod dumbly.
* That was a really good kiss. You feel all warm and fuzzy.
* Before you can think Conner wraps an arm around your waist tugging you close, he dips you back before kissing you. You open your mouth from the surprise and he takes the opportunity to sweep his tongue in.
* You’re seeing stars, and then abruptly you’re yanked by the shoulder.
* Oh does Mike want another turn?
* Without even opening your eyes you kiss the person who pulled on your shoulder.
* These lips feel different then Mike’s, almost-sticky? Or is it slippery? They smell different too like boiled broccoli-
* Oh shit
* You hesitantly open your eyes, only to see a very shocked Jessica
* “Oh my god” you pull back quickly, cupping your hand over your mouth so you don’t kiss anyone else by accident “I’m so sorry Jess- I didn’t-“
* Before you can finish someone tugs your arm, you vaguely understand what’s happening, one of your arms grasped by a very strong hand and your other carrying a bottle of vodka.
* It’s Edward, you recognize the blue collared shirt he’s wearing, you bought him that shirt last year for his birthday.
* “E-Edward? Wait where-“ you turn to the side to see Jessica who’s standing very still, your eyes briefly meet Bella’s and they flash with-hurt?
* What did you kiss her too when you weren’t paying attention?
* “H-hey Edward that hurts!” If he heard you he doesn’t seem to care, dragging you through the party and through the cluster of people all along the front yard
* You’re vaguely aware of the stares your way. You both must look pretty weird, or at least like a couple of kids dying to f*ck
* All you can see when you look straight forward is Edward’s back. His broad shoulders and the slender curve of his back.
* For some reason, the safest place you can imagine is the middle of Edward’s back. You bet it’s so warm and safe to be nestled there.
* You bet it’s the place Bella feels the most safe in
* A prickle of irritation burns in you. And in your impatience when Edward starts to slow you wrap your arms around his waist-
* “(Y/N), what are you-“ He grumbles, but you don’t pay it any mind, you nestle your head in his back, right below the spot between his shoulder blades. Breathing his scent in deeply.
* Edward always smells so good, like Argon oil and Rosemary
* You feel him sigh, his hand resting over yours that are intertwined on his stomach
* You stay like that for a moment, you’re not sure how long, it might have been hours
* But it feels too soon when Edward pulls away from you.
* The whine of protest that’s building in the back of your throat dies when you see his face
* “Hey, what’s wrong, why are you upset?” A hand lifts to cradle Edward’s face. His mouth is pinched into a frown and his eyes... they look so sad
* Your compassion only seems to irritate him further because he shakes your hand off of his face
* You’re a little hurt, and very confused
* “What were you doing in there?” You can tell from the way his voice trembles he’s barely contains his anger
* “We were playing a game” you say in a small voice. Edward gives out a bitter laugh
* “And what game was that, spin the bottle?”
* “Who’s the better kisser actually” you mumble, looking down at your shoes feeling a little embarrassed
* “You can’t even imagine the vile thoughts they were-“ he cuts himself off, averting his gaze from you
* You feel like a bucket of cold water got dumped on you
* They’re your friends. You were just having a good time. It was all just harmless fun wasn’t it?
* oh god you kissed Jessica! Jessica your best friend.
* How are supposed to face her now
* “Have you been drinking?” He asks, tugging the bottle hanging limply from between your fingers.
* It’s almost empty, less than a quarter left.
* “H-hey I didn’t drink all of that, Lauren drank quite a bit too, and I’m pretty sure it was already half empty when we got it.” Edward raises an eyebrow and you avert your eyes. You’ve going through too much to handle facing him head on.
* “(Y/N), what’s going on, this isn’t like you” He let’s out a long sigh.
* Why did you drink so much?
* Maybe if he wasn’t so wrapped up in that human he would realize-
* Realize what? Where was that sentence going?
* You remember seeing Edward and Bella talk, the smile he gave her-
* No you can’t think about that right now
* “Nothing’s going on,” he looks at you skeptically and you look back to the ground “I just-I just want you to be happy Eddie.”
* He scoffs
* “You have a funny way of showing it.” He’s about to move back but your hand reaches out to stop him, resting on his forearm
* “No I really want you to be happy Edward, and I see the way you look at her-“
* “What?”
* “And I want you to know that it’s okay!” Your eyes stay fixed on his chest, the pocket of his shirt. “I know everyone around us, including Carlisle, have been hoping we would end up together, but don’t worry about that. You can say it was me if you need to, and-“
* He stops you by placing both of his hand on your face, your eyes meeting his.
* “What are you talking about?”
* This time you’re the one that scoffs
* “Bella of course,” he lets out some noise of disbelief, a mix of a scoff and a snicker
* “Bella? You think I love Bella?” He’s laughing at you! The criminal is laughing at you!
* “Im not stupid Edward!”
* “When have I ever said I have feelings for Bella?”
* “You don’t have to! I see the way you look at her! Like just now-when you were up by the stairwell, you looked at her like she was the only person in the room.”
* He doesn’t scoff now and he averts his eyes. You feel your heart sink a little.
* It’s okay, this is for the best.
* Bella’s going to give him everything he wants.
* Even a baby.
* You can’t give him that.
* “Oh my god Bella! She probably has the totally wrong idea! We have to go back, we have to-“ you’re already moving when you feel Edward grasp your arm, holding you back.
* Your eyebrows thread together in confusion
* “Edward what are you doing? We have to-“
* “I don’t love Bella” he interrupts.
* You’re confused, and then you’re angry.
* Is he lying to you? Straight to your face after you’ve already told him you know everything? Why even bother? What is he trying to save his pride or something, because you’re 100% sure that Bella’s feeling it just as much as he is
* “You don’t need to lie to me Edward-“
* “I’m not lying!” He tugs you closer, the bottle of vodka falling to the ground with a clang.
* You’re caged in his arms, each of his hands is holding your by the elbow. His gold eyes look straight into yours
* “There’s only one person I’ve ever loved,” a gentle smile curls onto his mouth. “They’re impossibly stubborn, when they get an idea in their mind. And they have no sense of self preservation whatsoever.”
* This sounds like Bella. Is this a trick or something?
* His eyes get warm as he looks down at you, his lips twitching as his smile widens
* “But they’re also very compassionate, they’re someone with endless amounts of hope, and everything around them is so-different- so fun! They make me feel....”
* he’s been inching closer this entire time, your chest is practically pressed against his.
* “Human” he finishes with a grin
* His forehead presses against yours and you feel butterflies erupt in your stomach.
* “I’m in love with you, (Y/N), it’s always been you.”
* Before you have time to process the bombshell Edward just dropped on you, Edward moves an inch closer and places his lips over your own.
* Your eyes are open at first, mostly from shock, but they drift close when Edward’s hand trails down the edge of you face, resting on your cheek.
* His kiss is so different from Mike and Conner’s kisses.
* Their kiss had been passionate, almost possessive.
* But Edward’s kiss- his kiss makes you feel safe.
* His hand rests on the small of your back, the other lightly touches the side of your face.
* It’s firm, but you know if you didn’t like his touch, if you wanted it to stop, you could end it anytime.
* He’s leaving you an escape
* He’s still your Edward, Your kind, considerate Edward.
* If you were human tears would prickle the corner of your eyes.
* Instead you stand on your toes, wrapping your arms around his neck to bring him in even closer.
* You’re seeing stars when he finally pulls away, and in your daze you actually follow him, stealing one last peck.
* You stand tall, looking straight into his eyes, he’s got the biggest goofiest grin you’ve ever seen
* Even goofier than the one he had when you said you would move with him to Forks.
* “Um, so how was I compared to Mike and Connor?”
* You roll your eyes, he’s still trying to lighten the mood with dumb jokes
* You doubt he needs you to answer. He knows you loved it. He’s so happy he’s glowing. You feel almost feel dizzy looking at him.
* And there’s a million things you want to say to him, but you don’t say any of them.
* Instead you lean over and puke all over his shoes.
* “That bad huh?”
BONUS:
* “Was it just me, or were they like really cold?” Mike asks, his lips still feel a little numb
* “Yeah, but I kind of liked it, it’s like ice play.” Conner grins, and then spares a glance to his friend “How you doing over there Jess thinking of coming down anytime soon?”
* Jessica’s got the widest goofiest grin on her face, her fingers trailing her lips every so often.
* Bella sits beside her with her mouth pinched into a frown
* “It’s always the blonde’s that have all the fun” She mumbles

So, maybe I've been with Sam for a few months, but it's not that big of a deal. We're just a once in a blue sorta thing. Sam and I yes live together alongside his brother Dean, but I don't mean that Sam and I share a bed you know.
Okay well, maybe we do share a room. We share a comfy large bed when a hunt goes bad, or Sam wants to release some tension. We go and let go of our bodies' tension. Together we let everything go, and we sort of become one.
Sam is a giant teddy bear, but when he's had enough put onto his shoulders he needs someone to ground him, that someone for right now just so happens to be me. Bad hunts turn into long, fast, and hard nights.
Nights when Sam drags on, his large hands wrapped my throat pinning me down to the fluffy bed. My nails leaving red marks down his muscled back. His hips snapping against my cervix, his lips leaving bruises on my skin.
The way he'd snap his hips into me as I rode into him. In moments like these Sam was my cowboy, and I was his baby girl. The loud grunts and moans that echoed off the motel, or bunker walls were the most amazing sound to my ears.
The sound of our skin slapping together, and the dominant nature of Sam, his almost animalistic way of fucking me. I wasn't a virgin when I met Sam and Dean, I wasn't a virgin when Sam first came to me with this idea of friends with benefits.
But even without being a virgin, taking Sam for the first time. That made me feel like I had died and came back to life. I know saying that seems probably very odd, but Sam there is something about him that makes him so fucking... fuckable.
The moment that I came down from my high and he laid on top of me, trying his hardest to not lay all his weight on me, I reveled in those moments. Was this what it was like to fall in love with someone?
Would Sam really want that? Would I be enough for Sam?
Months it went on like this, bad hunts or just wanting to let go. It went back and forth. The deal that we held, was for the both of us, and usually, we needed each other at the same time.
Bumping into each other, cute moments. Moments when I would try to put more effort into it. I learned real quick that Sam had a thing for lace and the color red. Something about the way it felt against his hands, or how it looks against my skin tone.
Nothing's more special than having your boy toy pull off your lace panties with his teeth while he makes direct contact. Again there was that dominating nature of Sam. Sometimes my mind would float to what it would be like with Dean, but I would be very much slapped out of that thinking when Sam would snap his hips into me and ask me 'who do you belong to?' or 'Who owns your body?'.
This of course in my world would only last for so long. Something always had to go wrong. So wrong that everything that I had worked for wasn't worth it. Wasn't worth it, if I would just be crashed in the end. I didn't think any wrong could come from fucking my best friend in a way.
Because that was Sam and I are.. were. We are friends, best friends, who know everything about each other, who know when the other is about to have a break or the other needs space. What happens when Sam finds out about this.
This is a normal fuck up that be taken care of. This is my fuck up, this fuck up is huge. He won't want to stay. No, see I've ruined this for the both of us.
What happens if Sam. What if? That's the big question stop overreacting. You've spent time with Dean, ask your question then act, not the other way around. You need to actually find out if your pregnant.
'pregnant' "FUCK" I said out loud rather loud, louder than I should have said it. "Y/n you okay?" I outside the bathroom door. Panicking I slipped the pregnancy test into my sweater pocket. "Yep, I'm super," I said and unlocked the door, slipped by Sam. Smiling before I casually walked away from him. Panicking on the inside.
"what am I going to do?" I asked myself under my breath. "A Winchester baby, a baby, my baby," I said hushed under my breathe. A tap to my shoulder pulled me from my very important inner monologue.
"Y/n, what's wrong with you?" Sam said wrapping his hand around my shoulder. Mouth left gaped open. "Y/n?" Sam repeated, just my name this time made everything worse. The echo of Sam's voice grunting and moaning my name as he comes down from his high.
"Sam," I said looking up at him. These were moments that I said he was a huge teddy bear. Worry crossed his handsome face. "Y/n what's wrong?" Again he forced his first question.
"Nothing Sam. Just let it go." I said tapping his hand on my shoulder. There was a look of upset confusion on Sam's face. "Y/n don't you dare pull away from me, especially after what we have together," Sam said as I walked away. I stopped and thought about it. 'Don't pull him into it, you just take care of it.' I just kept walking.
I made sure that the pregnancy test was really correct, by going to a doctor's office. "You're about six weeks along." The doctor said. More panic. More anxiety, more questions, more thoughts. That drive back to the bunker I was fighting the idea of leaving.
If I just left, what if I just didn't come back. 'No go back and try to hide it, say you're sick, hide in your room. You won't be able to hide it for long' Sam will question you, Sam will notice, he'll notice your body change, he'll notice everything Y/n.
When I got back Sam was waiting for me in the library. "Where were you Y/n?" he asked me as I passed by him "I was out," I said passing quickly. Trying to stay away from him, the closer I am to Sam the harder it is to not tell him the truth. The grip of his hands around my wrist is so powerful, so strong.
"Stop running away. I just need you Y/n I thought..." Sam paused looking down at my body and then to my wrist. "Sam let go of my wrist. You're hurting me." I said ripping my arm from his grasp. Stomping away and down the louder echoing bunker hallway.
'LEAVE' 'No stop he's right you made a promise, a deal.' "Stop" Fighting with myself was the worst of all of this. You can't run away from yourself. No knock at my door, but I wouldn't have known. I had taken a nap my thoughts clouding my mind. Waking up to a quiet bunker and a note stuck to the coffee machine. "Y/n whatever is going on.
That's what I'm here for. Please baby girl. I don't know what to do. Shoot me a message, or even text Dean. Just let me know you're okay." Signed Sam. Yet another wave of new thought, new emotions. I want to stay, but it wouldn't be good for either of us. Nobody benefits from this.
A normal hunts take Dean and Sam about a week tops so with the letter that Sam left behind I can only imagine that Sam is pushing Dean to hunt a lot faster. Get the hunt over and done with come home and figure out what is wrong with me.
I say I've got two days tops before the boys get back. To toggle with the idea of leaving. Two days doesn't seem like enough time, but I need to not trap them in a situation like this. Sam doesn't need to have another thing on his shoulders, Dean doesn't need the worry or the panic. Of a Winchester baby.
Taking a long walk around the bunker brought memories alive in my mind's eye. The great, the good, and the bad. Most of them included Sam. The night he asked me to start this friend with benefits or the wild night that he took me on the book-filled library table. He fucked me in the middle of the wide open.
Would it be bad to say that I fell in love with him from that moment? He made me feel like the only girl in the world. A few spots in the kitchen early morning breakfast being made, and in the garage washing whatever car Dean would let us wash.
'You need to go' Memories pinging in my head. Hitting all the corners of my head. This is the most stressful thing I've ever had to do. There's a baby inside of me now, every choice has to be for this little one. This choice was for Sam and for this little one.
My hand laid on my still flat stomach. I wish that I could feel Sam's hand on top of mine, or watch his face. But that wouldn't be a good idea and I know that.
"They're going to a Winchester in and out," I said walking past Sam and Dean's rooms. I think I'll just have to write a letter to Sam, a sort of backwards odd way of responding to his letter.
This letter will just be my goodbye. "Hey Sam, by the time you read this I'll be long gone. Let me explain. I'm pregnant, with of course your child. We never got the chance to talk about being parents, never got the chance to even have a normal relationship. Sam, I fell hard for you, so hard that I don't want to hurt you. I know you most likely aren't ready to be a dad, so yes I know I'm taking that choice away from you. I am making so many mistakes and I don't want to be a burden on your shoulders or even a burden on Deans. They'll find out about you, they'll be nosy like you, be hardheaded like you, defy me like you defied your father." I wrote out pausing to let my shaking hand take a break.
"Cowboy, I'm running away, because Sam that's the only thing I know how to do. Don't you dare think... Don't you dare ever for a second think that I don't love you, or that this baby won't grow up knowing who is, who knows maybe I'll come back... I love you, Sam, I love you cowboy."
I read over it once and then twice, Dean stood over my shoulder. His hand lying still against my blade. I swiped the pad of my thumb over my Y/n nicely small handwriting. "Sammy?" Dean questioned. "Hmm?" I hummed fearing my voice would give too much away. "What did she write?" He asked, "Y/n wrote that she's pregnant, and she is running away afraid to put the burden of my child on my shoulders and on yours." I said continuing to look at the page in front of me.
"Dean we.." "I've got you, Sammy. We'll find her bring her home and you wife her up." Dean said, grabbing my bag and racing back to the impala. "She's on foot, and most likely hasn't made it very far, I'll call Charlie, you call her," Dean said, whipping out my phone it tumbled in my hands landing on the footwell of the front seat.
Pulling it out it came with pictures, pictures of the three of us. Sitting on baby's hood, her in the middle of the two of us next to her. I could see it now, a baby Winchester, sitting on her lap and taking that picture all over again.
"Sam, Charlie says that she's gonna try her, see if we can sort of trick her into going with Charlie until we can get to her and bring her home," Dean said.
"Yeah let's hope she wants to come home," I said the mix of different emotions and feelings shoring through me, I felt the revive of the impala's engine. 'There's no running away from the Winchesters.'

Nathaniel x Reader || Art, an Evil Villain, and an Erased Window
“Nathaniel!” you winced as Ms. Mendeleev scolded him for drawing again.
“I’m going to get him the notes!” you tried to defend him.
“He should be writing his notes by himself, go to the principal’s office!”
“It helps him focus!” you stood up to continue to defend your red haired best friend.
“(y/n) sit back down!” she scowled, “you’re causing a disruption! Nathaniel! Go to the principal’s office now!”
“It’s alright (y/n),” Nathaniel sighed and picked up his papers to listen to what Ms. Mendeleev commanded.
You frowned but sat back down anyway, until Chloe tripped him. Then you jumped back onto your feet so fast that the chair you were sitting in fell backwards with a clatter.
“Ooh look at this,” Chloe mocked as she held up one of the papers that fell out of his hand.
“What gives you the right to look through his stuff!” you shouted from the back of the room.
“(y/n) sit down!” Ms. Mendeleev snapped.
Chloe continued to talk as if you hadn’t said anything, “it’s Nathaniel as a superhero!” she then gasped, “and he’s saving Marinette!” You felt your heart throb. Marinette? Of course he would like her, she’s sweet, kind, and the perfect friend. But you couldn’t deny that you had feelings for the red haired tomato, and it hurt to know that those feelings weren’t reciprocated. Nathaniel hurriedly grabbed his papers from Chloe and ran out of the room.
“Ms. Mendeleev! You’re being too harsh!” you argued while still standing up.
“That’s it (y/n). Go to the principal’s office now!” she ordered.
For a moment you were shocked, you had never been sent to the principal’s office before, but you quickly got over that shock when you realized that that was where Nathaniel was. You could defend him, “okay!” you replied and quickly gathered your items before running out the door. You were making your way to the principal’s office but was stopped by a rather peculiar person roaming around. You ran over to see what he was doing. You couldn’t believe your eyes when you saw him, “Nathaniel?” you asked in shock. He couldn’t be. Nathaniel? The sweetest person whom you’ve ever met being a supervillain? It made sense though, the red hair, the artist vibe, and the fact that Nathaniel was just sent outside.
“It’s not Nathaniel, it’s Evillustrator!” he shouted.
“No, this isn’t like you.” All of your stuff clattered to the ground as you looked at your best friend. “What have you done to Nathaniel!”
“You’re being too loud,” he snarled as he walked towards you. You stumbled backwards. This wasn’t your friend. “I don’t want Ladybug and Chat Noir to come just yet. I have some revenge I need to place on Chloe.”
“I get what she did was mean, but you don’t need to become a supervillain because of her!”
“Be quiet.” He drew something on his pad and tape was stuck over your mouth, immediately your hands flew up to your face to try and rip it off but your hands flew back as you got stuck to the wall with more tape. If looks could kill you would’ve killed Evillustrator right then and there, but he left the room without another word.
You struggled against the tape that held you back. Either you were weak, or this was some super strong tape. Definitely stronger than one strip of duct tape. You sighed. Here you were, stuck against a wall because of some tape with nobody around. You stood there dejectedly until an idea came into your mind. You remember reading somewhere on the internet that licking the tape that covered your face would cause it to come off. So that’s what you set yourself on doing until someone came by.
Screaming came from somewhere in the school, and you wished you could see what was happening. “Wait, (y/n)?” you nearly cried in relief when you heard Nino’s voice. You vigorously nodded. “Dude, what are you doing here?” You glared at him, if you could explain, you would. “Let’s get you freed.” He first set on picking at the tape on your face, “okay this will probably hurt. One, two, three!” with a yank the tape was off your face.
“Oww!” you groaned as your face started to sting.
“Sorry dude.” He answered and went on tackling your hands, “what is this, super tape?” he asked as he too struggled against the tape.
“I don’t know, but if it was just duct tape, I would’ve freed myself ages ago.” You struggled against the tape to try and help Nino get it off. Suddenly the tape was loose and your arm flew forwards, accidentally punching Nino in the chest. “Oh my gosh Nino I’m so sorry!”
“It’s fine.” He laughed and started on the other hand, except a bit more to the side. This process repeated for the last three pieces of tape until you were free.
“I’m free!” you shouted excitedly and raised your arms in victory.
Nino laughed, “come on, let’s get back to class.”
                                                      ...
You were at home working on your homework. Ladybug and Chat Noir still hadn’t captured the Evillustrator. You sighed and sent the image of your notes to Nathaniel. Ms. Mendeleev was just too tough on him. Actually, she was just overall a really angry and cranky teacher.
“So, (y/n).” You screamed and fell out of your chair as a voice came from your window. It was the Evillustrator, and with a few flicks of his pen your window disappeared and he walked into your room. You couldn’t do anything but stare at him dumbfounded. “You’re my best friend right?”
“What? I mean, of course.” You shakily got back onto your chair, “what’s with this sudden question?”
“What should I do for a date.”
“Huh?” you almost shouted, “a date?”
He winced at how loud you were, “with Marinette.”
“Oh,” you visibly deflated, “of course. A moonlit stroll is kind of cliche.” You thought out loud, “but I think the moon is out tonight. So that would actually be kind of cute.”
“I was thinking, riding down the Seine on a boat?” he asked uncertainly.
You gaped, “yep. That’ll definitely do it. Add candles and dinner and you’re practically golden. Fairy lights would definitely add to the theme, and if you want to be cheesy. Flowers.”
He nodded as you listed off ideas, “that’s great! Thanks (y/n)!” he hugged you before jumping out of the window.
“Yeah.” You quietly agreed wistfully. You snapped back into reality as you realized you still had a gaping hole for a window, “at least fix the window!” You groaned and laid back onto your bed. Your heart hurt as the entire weight of the situation settled. Nathaniel, the boy you were hopelessly in love with, was hopelessly in love with Marinette. You were already being rejected and you hadn’t even confessed yet.
You ended up going to sleep early that night. With your homework unfinished, your window a gaping hole, and your heart hurting.
                                                     ...
“So, how’d that date go?” you asked as you roughly sat down next to Nathaniel the next day.
“Date? What date?” he questioned in confusion. He turned to you with blue eyes wide in confusion.
“I uh, I mean nothing.” You blushed and turned away from him. You rested your face on your hand and spaced out as you looked at the floor. He didn’t remember anything from being the Evillustrator. Not the date, not the fact that he left you taped to a wall.
“What’s wrong (y/n)?” Nathaniel placed a hand on your shoulder and tried to get you to look at him.
“It’s nothing,” you sighed.
“Please,” he begged, “we’re best friends. I thought we told each other everything?”
“Except the fact that you’re obviously hopelessly in love with Marinette.” You snapped back bitterly. Your eyes widened and you clapped your hands over your mouth. He looked to be just as shocked. “I’m sorry I need to go!” you nearly screamed as you ran out of the classroom.
“(y/n)! Wait!” he called as he ran after you. He caught up to you and grabbed your hand, “please (y/n). Wait.” He panted
“I’m sorry Nathaniel.” You whimpered and tore yourself out of his grasp.
“Please, tell me what’s wrong.” He called down the hall.
You stopped running and turned around, but made sure to keep quite a bit of space between you two. “I’m sorry Nathaniel. It just hurts that you’re hopelessly in love with another girl.”
“I’m not hopelessly in love with Marinette.” He told you eagerly, “she’s just a very good model. I like to draw her.”
“Oh,” you weren’t entirely convinced. You didn’t want to sound like a brat, but what about you?
He seemed to notice your hesitation, “I didn’t draw you because there was no way any of my drawings could come close to portraying how pretty you are.” Your jaw dropped and you froze. Your mind couldn’t think of anything to say. “Sorry. I don’t think that really helped. I really like you (y/n), but it doesn’t seem like that feeling is reciprocated.” He turned around sadly and started to walk back to the room.
You snapped out of your daze and ran back to him before launching yourself to hug him, “silly.” You whispered to him, “I love you too.”
“Really?” he asked in shock and turned back around to face you.
You placed your forehead on his forehead, “of course. Why would I ever lie to you?” Both of you smiled at each and let your lips melt together in a kiss.

Hiyaa, I'm so sorry for bothering you!! I really like your blog and what you write, read your works several times lol. One that I found really cute was the cadet reader one where she punches Levi and breaks his nose (poor bebe), so I was wondering if we could get like a second part to that with them doing all the paperwork and stuff and how things go down from there.
If you don't want to or don't take requests atm it's no biggie
Have a nice day and take care!!
Aw omg hiiii you’re not bothering me at all! Thank you sm for the support! I can definitely do a second part :)
Summary: Levi and you do paperwork in his office
Word Count: 1.6K
__
You leaned heavily on the counter over the kitchen sink, your hair falling loose from your pony tail as you looked down the drain. The rest of your squad was out in the dining hall eating dinner, meanwhile you were going to be stuck with your cranky captain, who almost certainly had a death wish for you now. You swallowed thickly, eyeing the cook who was still dishing out dinner, you considered grabbing a plate. But any hunger you had felt earlier in the afternoon had dissipated since your incident. You knew that you should probably eat a little something, since the last time you had eaten was lunch, which was well over five hours ago. You huffed in frustration as you pushed off the sink and continued preparing the tea. You had only ever prepared the captain’s tea three times. Once when Moblit was too busy helping Hange, and the other two on the captain’s orders. The first time he had told you it was shitty and “too sweet” so the next two times you forewent the honey and just gave it to him black. He seemed more pleased with this than the last time, and even requested that you bring him another tray that next evening. You’d felt both honored and annoyed, having lost a significant chunk of your rare personal time.
But now you just felt plain nervous. You hadn’t ever injured anyone this badly during training before. Hurting your fellow human beings was not high on your list of priorities, aka the main reason why you chose to join the scouting regiment over the other two divisions of the military. You shot one last glance through the window into the dining hall, where other soldiers were all chowing down, meanwhile the sound of the tea kettle whistling caught your attention. You turned and brought the kettle off the heat and  placed the tea leaves into the cups. Once the water had cooled off a bit you poured it into the cups that only Levi was allowed to use, and watched the leaves swirl in the hot water.
As you waited for the tea to steep, you turned and began to search for a tray to carry it on. By the time you found one, the tea was steeped perfectly, so you wasted no time loading it up and walking briskly up the stairs towards Levi’s office.
__
Levi sat on the counter of his bathroom, which was connected to his office and private quarters, inspecting his nose. The cut on the bridge of his nose had already begun to scab over, and his nose had stopped bleeding all together. He’d broken his nose more times than he would’ve liked, thanks to his upbringing. He slid off of the counter and stalked back into his office, the usual stack of paperwork still piled high. Erwin had been pestering him to find a cadet to help with the work, much like Hange had done so many years ago with Moblit. Other squad leaders also recruited the help of their cadets but Levi would rather not spend his “free time” with the brats, much like he knew that most of them wouldn’t want to spend their free time with him. He wasn’t sure what had come over him when he had asked you to join him for the evening, almost instantly regretting the order. But the way that you didn’t seem to deflate at the order, and even going above his expectations with offering to make tea, made the evening seem a bit more enticing.
He slipped his jacket off and hung it neatly over the back of his chair before sinking down into the uncomfortable wooden seat. He sighed and began to sift through the papers, organizing them into piles, one pile for you to work on, since his signature was the last step to completion. Another pile that was for himself, this one containing more serious documents. A small knock on his door made him glance up from his work.
“Name and business.” He said, although he was certain it was you, due to it being right around dinnertime.
“(Y/n), here with your tea and to do paperwork sir!” You’re voice was muffled by the door, Levi knew that is was locked, so he had to get up and open the door for you. He pulled the door open and stepped back, silently inviting you in. You nodded in thanks, eyes lingering on his nose. Levi watched you closely as you placed the tray onto his desk, careful of the documents, which he was grateful for. He rounded his desk and dropped into his chair once more, as you handed him his tea, he took the cup from you in that peculiar way of his and inhaled the aroma. After a tense beat, he took a sip and gave you a curt nod. You felt your shoulders sag in relief and  you sank down into one of the chairs on the opposite side of his desk. Levi took one last sip of his tea before placing it off to the side, he pushed a stack of papers towards you wordlessly and then produced a pen from one of the drawers in his desk. You began to flip through the papers, deciding that it was best to stay quiet and let Levi make the first attempts at conversation, seeing as you had broken his nose after all.
Levi watched as you took the work in stride, skimming through papers, scratching down words when needed. You were working efficiently and he couldn’t have asked for more. But why was the silence that he’d been craving all day so very....annoying? He risked glancing up at you, face devoid of any particular emotion as you looked down at your work. Your hair was falling loose from it’s ponytail, causing some rouge pieces to obscure your vision. You let out a heavy sigh, causing your hair to flutter off your cheek briefly before falling back into your line of sight. Levi frowned, normally you were one of the more lively cadets under his command. Alongside Jean, Connie, and Sasha that is. It was concerning, seeing you so quiet and absorbed in the work, when he knew that it was nearly impossible to capture your focus for more than twenty minutes at a time. He hadn’t realized how long he had been staring until you looked up at him, eyes a bit wide and questioning as you met his steady gaze. He cleared his throat a bit awkwardly and looked back down at his papers, embarrassed at being caught.
“Something wrong captain?” Your voice was smooth as honey and unwavering, something Levi found a bit disarming, given how jumpy and antsy you could be.
“As you were.” Was all he said, with a flick of his wrist as he tried to play off his staring.
“Hm okay then” you mumbled before returning to the paperwork at hand. A few more minutes of silence ensued before you placed your pen down and leaned back into the chair and stretched your arms above your head. A loud pop came from somewhere in your body and you sighed with relief.
“That’s terrible for your joints.” Levi scolded as you twisted to grab the back of the chair and further pop your back.
“How could something feel so good and be bad for you?” You countered as you twisted to crack the other side of your back, a wry grin on your face. Levi scoffed in slight dissatisfaction before attempting to refocus.
“I’m almost done with my pile, do you need anything else from me while I’m here?” You asked as you placed another finished document onto the stack that was quickly rising in altitude.
“Hm, no not tonight.” Levi said, his eyes still trained on his paper as he skimmed through it. Your brows raised at his words, implying that you would be coming back another night.
“Not tonight?” You asked after beat. He hummed in agreement and added the page to his own finished pile of documents.
“As in we will be doing more of this?” You asked, not ready to drop the topic just yet.
“That is what I implied was it not cadet?” Levi asked with an exhausted sigh. You cocked your head to the side as you watched him work.
“So...you need me again tomorrow night?” You mumbled, not sure how you felt about all of this. Of course you had offered to do him favors, you’d broken his nose, but getting stuck with him for the rest of god knows how long was a bit daunting.
“Yes, and the night after that.” Levi said dully as his pen scratched against the paper.
“Why so often? There isn’t nearly that much paperwork.” You pressed, leaning onto the desk in an attempt to get his full attention.
“Hm no there isn’t but Erwin’s been pestering me about taking on a personal assistant.” His insinuation made you both fear the future and excited for it. Being Levi’s personal assistant could boost your reputation, but at what cost? You inhaled sharply, determination flowing through you to be a better assistant than Moblit, who was practically a pro at this point.
“I’ll be your personal assistant captain.” you said eagerly, he looked up slowly, eyes narrowed and jaw clenched.
The sight of you sitting before him with a bright smile calmed him some, he had been worried that you wouldn’t have been ready for the task. He knew that at times he could be...difficult. So seeing you ready to tackle the challenge was reassuring, he nodded stiffly before looking back down at his work, hoping that the relief wasn’t as easy to spot on his face as it felt.
“Very well then, I expect you here every evening ready for paperwork.” He tried to sound callous but it came out rather soft.
“Of course sir.” you hummed as you also returned back to your work.

I’m not sure if I want this to be a romantic type of thing or more of a soft platonic relationship lol. If you guys want more of this specify the relationship and I will gladly continue this :)

E&T-Honey I Shrunk the Test Subject
Hiiii here is the stupid content no one asked for (title from @just-a-whumping-racoon-with-wifi)
Masterlist - Next→
Ingredients: possessive whumper, manhandling/noncon touching (unsexy), spider, a lil bit of choking
“This is my favorite thing I have done, ever.”
“Change me back right now, Neteri.”
“Mmmmm...maybe later.” He huffed angrily and crossed his arms, glaring up at her. When she’d said she wanted to test something on him today, figured it would be...he didn’t know, something normal? Not...not…this. He wished he could run away as she stared down at him, but there wasn’t anywhere for him to go.
He was stuck up here, standing on the palm of her hand as she looked at him through a magnifying glass.
She poked at his stomach with the tip of her finger, giggling as he stumbled back in order to stay on his feet. “Oh Erebus, you’re so cute all teeny like this. My hypothesis was correct after all!”
“And what was your hypothesis?”
“That you would be even cuter if I shrunk you! And I was so, so right,” she cooed, shifting so both of her hands were wrapped around him, bringing him up and rubbing him against her cheek. He squirmed desperately, but he was no match for her now.
“Put me down!”
“Okay!” She let go of him with one hand, still holding him firmly in the other, and grabbed something from under the table. She gently dropped him onto a soft surface...surrounded by curved glass walls. He looked up in disbelief. A jar. She’d put him in a jar.
“Neteri, this isn’t what-let me out of here!” he yelled, banging his fist against the glass uselessly.
“Don’t worry bud, I’ll take you outside later. For now, I have some things to do, so just sit tight, okay?” He protested further, but she just ignored him and screwed on the lid. She’d poked holes in it, at least, but now he was even more trapped. He found it hard to stand as she started walking, so he angrily sat down on the thick layer of cotton and scraps of cloth that lined the bottom of the jar, watching helplessly as she carried him along.
She brought him into a room he’d never seen before, but he assumed it was her office. Bookshelves lined the walls, and papers were stacked in neat piles here and there. She gently set the jar down on her desk, gathering some materials before sitting down and getting to work. Erebus sighed, looking around more closely at his prison.
There really wasn’t much in there besides the layer of bedding, just a small stick and a coin. He laid back, sighing. This was worse than being stuck in his cell, since there he had things to do, and more importantly, privacy. Here, everything he did was very much on display for Neteri. Every now and then, she’d glance up at him and smile, or even just watch him for a little bit. Why did she even want him here if she wasn’t going to do anything to him? Wait, he...he was just her desk ornament, wasn’t he? A little pet for her to look at while she worked. Humiliated, he rolled onto his stomach, burying his face in the soft material. There wasn’t any way to escape her gaze except for burying himself completely, but he was certain she’d just tease him for doing that.
A little while later, he heard her unscrewing the lid, and upon looking up, he saw her hand reaching in. He tried his best to get away, but there wasn’t really anywhere for him to run. She managed to pinch the back of his shirt between her fingers, and he struggled uselessly as she pulled him up and out of the jar. “You’re so wiggly,” she remarked, grabbing him in her other hand and letting go of his shirt.
“Yeah, because I don’t like you grabbing me and picking me up!”
“Oh come on, how can I resist?” She rubbed the side of his face with her thumb. “You’re so lil and cute and all mine; I just wanna hold you.” She moved her thumb, stroking his hair now. “Maybe I’ll just keep you like this forever. My own little Erebus.”
A look of horror crept across his face. “You wouldn’t-you can’t-”
She laughed. “No, I can’t. The spell only lasts for twenty-four hours.”
“Well that’s-wait I’m going to be stuck like this for a day?!”
Neteri smiled wickedly. “Yes you are. And you can bet I’m going to make the most of this. I’m almost done here, and then I’ll take you outside, ‘kay?”
“Are you going to let go of me while you-”
“Nope.” Erebus groaned, but tried to make himself as comfortable as possible in her hand, trying to ignore the way she was constantly petting him with her finger in one spot or another. Thankfully, she finished her work soon after and let go of him, placing him gently on her palm. “Alright, lil guy, do you want to ride in the jar or on my shoulder? Or,” she gasped, “I could put you in my pocket! Nevermind, I’m putting you in my pocket.”
“Hey, wait-” Erebus cried, but she paid him no heed, dumping him into the breast pocket of her coat. After some struggling, he managed to right himself, standing so his head and shoulders were sticking out. Neteri was looking down at him with the happiest smile he’d seen her wear since...ever, really.
“This is so amazing look at you in there you’re so small and aaahhhh!” She jumped up and down a few times, and Erebus had to hold tightly to the edge of her pocket to avoid being thrown out.
“Cut it out, Neteri, you’re going to kill me!”
She looked down at him, realizing her mistake. “Oh no I’m so sorry little bud are you okay?!”
“I mean for a lot of reasons, no, but physically I’m...not in pain.”
“Great! Let’s get going, then.” She slung her bag over her shoulder, and off they went. It was strange, seeing the world from this height. He felt so small-well, of course he was small, but-just...height wise? Regular person size height wise? He felt like he was a kid again, only being this high off the ground. This was sort of how Neteri saw things, wasn’t it? He was a little lower than that, but still, the tops of doorways were so far, not even close to his head at all.
Musings aside, he was relieved when they made it to one of the many palace gardens they visited every so often. He begrudgingly climbed onto Neteri’s hand, glad to get out of her pocket, at least. She petted his head a few times, muttering “Tiny Erebus,” to herself, before lowering him enough that he could step onto the ground. They were right next to one of the plant beds, and Erebus couldn’t help but look up in awe. The plants were so tall, their leaves big enough for him to easily hide under.
“You can go wandering in there if you want, but don’t go too far or...well, you’ll see,” Neteri said. Erebus was tempted to ask what exactly she meant by that, but he refrained, simply nodding and heading off into the veritable jungle. Soon enough, he lost himself in the strange little world among the plants, fascinated by the way they looked from this angle. He didn’t know how long he spent just wandering around, studying the huge flowers, stems, and leaves. For a moment, he almost didn’t mind being small. But just for a moment.
Because then he saw something moving.
Erebus was frozen in horror as he watched the long, shiny legs scuttling towards him. He’d never really been afraid of spiders, but they usually weren’t so big, certainly not almost up to his knees. He finally managed to get his legs to move, breaking into a run. He didn’t really think it would hurt him, but he didn’t want to take his chances and that thing was still freaky. He tried to gauge where he was, but it was impossible to tell. He could hardly see the sky through all these tall stems and leaves, much less Neteri. And no way was he calling for her. If she knew he was being chased by a spider, she’d never let him live it down.
Erebus just kept going, hoping he could lose it, when something suddenly jerked on his neck, temporarily choking him and knocking him onto his back. He frantically felt his neck as he coughed, feeling for whatever had pulled him, but there was nothing besides his stupid collar, which hadn’t caught on anything, as far as he could tell. He scurried to his feet and tried to keep going, but again his neck was pulled back. He waved his hand around, and there wasn’t anything there, but it felt like he was being tugged back by...a leash. Oh. This is what Neteri meant by him not being able to go too far away.
Thankfully, he seemed to have lost the spider, so he turned around and headed in the direction the leash had pulled him earlier. It did end up leading him back to Neteri, who looked at him with an eyebrow raised. “Did you try to run, Erebus?” She tapped a ring on her finger that he hadn’t noticed before, a tinge of harshness in her eyes.
“I-no, I was just...running...from something.” He’d...he’d rather take teasing over punishment.
Her gaze softened instantly, her hands flying up to cover her mouth. “Wait did you get chased by a bug or something that’s so cute!” She grabbed him before he could dodge, bringing him up and rubbing him against her cheek again. “You poor sweet little thing I’ll always protect you from those big scary bugs.”
Erebus then remembered that teasing was basically punishment.
He couldn’t wait for this damn spell to wear off.

How Maya Met Your Mothers.
Supercorp, Kara Danvers x Daughter!Reader, Lena Luthor x Daughter!Reader
Word count: 2730.
You’ve always known the day for Maya to meet your moms were closer than further down the line. That’s a fact. You had asked for too much self-control from Kara, not to follow your girlfriend around everywhere (and you are not even sure if she didn’t try to at least get a peek). But, yet, you had expected you were going to have a little more time than this.
Jamie and Maya came over your house for a study session. For real. When Jamie mentioned that you all should study together for next week exams, at first you thought it was a joke. But then Maya got super interested in having you teaching her physics, so you agreed.
You don’t know why you all ended up at your house. Actually, you kind of know. Maya’s parents hate the Luthors, so you can’t go there. Jamie’s house is a little bit further away and they would probably get tired of walking before getting there. Still, you feel like you haven’t fought back enough. You should’ve.
Although, being fair to yourself, you couldn’t possibly know there was a storm coming to National City that would literally make it impossible for you three to leave the house for hours. So, while there was a storm raging outside, you were looking at the clock, hoping, praying, wishing that Kara and Lena got held up at work.
Which could be true, using all the logic in your body. The rain is so strong, Supergirl will be needed for sure. There are probably people stuck in cars, or maybe there’s a flood in someone’s house, maybe there’s a poor kitten stuck on a tree in the rain. There’s gotta be something. And Lena is probably stuck in her office unable to leave. You breathe out, calming yourself. If Lena doesn’t leave her office early every day, she is definitely not leaving today while a storm rages on.
But when the clock strikes five, your heart beats fast, you raise your head from your book and you hear a whoosh of air, that very familiar one. Steps on the front door. And please Rao, let it be robbers, assassins, let it be Lex fucking Luthor out of jail with a big rock of kryptonite, but not your moms. Please. Please.
But is Kara who first walks in. Pink trousers, even pinkier shirt, dripping wet. And not far behind, Lena walks in. Suit all ruined, ponytail glued to her face, also dripping everywhere. Your heart stops for a second, when you look up from the kitchen table where the three of you have settled.
“Wow, it’s so crazy out there! Good thing we flew-” Kara finally notices a face she doesn’t know. She quickly puts her glasses back. “Here on a car.”
Good Lord.
“Hey, I don’t think we have met!” She comes closer, ignoring Lena’s protests about making the entire house wet. She raises her hand at Maya, who shyly takes it.
“Maya.”
“OOOH!” Kara sounds like she just got electrocuted. She is almost jumping in place when she realizes what that means. “It’s nice to meet you! I would love to say that she-” She looks at you with an inquisitive expression. “Told me everything about you, but she’s definitely going through a phase of secret keeping.”
“Momma!” You growl hiding your face in your hands. Maya just chuckles softly at that.
“Aren’t we all?” Jamie intervenes, sensing your embarrassment and you take one hand out from your face to look at Kara pulling the chair in front of you.
“Kara!” Lena calls her from the front door. “Don’t you dare get my chair wet. Come over here, you can embarrass our daughter after you’re dry.”
“Or never.” You add. “You also can embarrass me never.”
“I’ll be right back.” Kara says, completely ignoring you, as she makes her way to the laundry room with Lena, so they can get dry clothes.
“I’m sorry.” You drop your head, trying to hide the blush creeping up your face. Maya puts her hand on your chin and makes you look at her, giving you a smile.
“Stop that. It was really cute.” Maya says, and you gaze into her eyes, almost forgetting everything and everyone. If it wasn’t for Jamie.
“Nope, it was embarrassing. And just you wait until aunt Lena comes here.” Jamie adds and you drop your head again, growling louder.
Lena decides not to play into the ‘let’s embarrass our daughter’ game. And you’re very grateful for that.
“Hey.” She just says while passing through the table. And you breathe relieved. Until she stops with a tiny smile. No, no, no. Keep walking. “Hello Maya, I’m Lena. The scary mom.”
“You wish.” Kara comes from behind her. Hair is still dripping wet, but all changed into more comfortable and dry clothes. She pulls out the chair and sits in front of the three of you, trying to look intimidating. “I’m the scary one.”
“She’s really not.” Jamie whispers in Maya’s ear, and you put your head on the table, banging your forehead ever so slightly so you don’t make a dent in it.
“Would you stop, please?” You complain. “We’re trying to study.”
“BOOOO!” Kara puts her hands in front of her mouth turning to you. “You’re no fun.” Then she proceeds to look at Maya. “So Maya, how old are you? What’s your sexuality? Where do you see yourself in five years? And most importantly, how do you feel about Supergirl?”
You snap your head at her at the sound of that.
“Because in this house we’re Supergirl stans.” Kara adds, making Jamie laugh out loud, and you grunt louder.
“Oh, I’m-” Maya thinks about it for a second.
“You don’t have to answer any of that.” You look at her and she smiles at you.
“It’s ok, babe.” She turns back at Kara. “I’m sixteen, I’m pansexual-” That makes Kara squeak in excitement. “In college, hopefully. And yes, Supergirl is cool. But, um, I like Superkid better.”
“WHAT?” You look at her, eyes wide open, mouth agape. She doesn’t know you’re Superkid, and she likes her better than Supergirl? Is she the perfect girl?
“Well, ok, don’t freak out, but…” She looks at you and holds your arm, squeezing it gently. “I kind of have a crush on Superkid.”
“You do?” It’s all you can say.
Kara is practically jumping on her seat, ready to stand up and spin you around in excitement. Lena is trying very hard to hold back laughter (she’s failing, by the way). Jamie is literally cackling next to her. And you’re there, looking red, but also happy.
“Why is this funny?” Maya looks around at the reactions. “She is hot.”
“Oh no, dear, we’re not laughing at you.” Lena says, knowing the situation doesn’t look good. “It’s just, you know, she is the Supergirl of your time.” She shrugs. “I, for once, had a huge crush on Supergirl when I was younger.”
“Wait. What?” Kara stands up, looking worried. “You don’t have it anymore?”
“Well, no, honey.” Lena smiles, putting her arms around Kara’s neck. “Now I have you.”
“No!” You yell to stop what you know it’s coming next. “That’s too much. There are people here.”
“We’ll give you guys some privacy.” Kara tilts her head with a devious smile. Holding Lena by the waist, leaving you guys behind.
“I’m sorry again. They’re not usually like-” You start, but Jamie cuts you off.
“She is lying. They are always like this.”
“It’s ok.” Maya gives you a butterfly kiss that barely touches your lips, but makes you smile either way. “Besides, I find your momma completely fascinating.”
“Funny. So does she.” You can hear Kara gasping somewhere in the house and you hold a laughter. She is such a dork!
Your moms are gone for a while, during that time you three go back to study. Kara comes in sometime later on her phone.
“Yes Alex, she’s not lying, she is actually here studying.” Kara points the camera to the three of you, and Jamie crosses her arms, annoyed. You just wave hello.
“You thought I was lying?” Jamie complains.
“I never once saw you studying with your cousin, forgive me for assuming you were being a rebellious teenager.” You hear Alex’s voice on the other end of the phone. “But I see there’s a new addition to the group.”
“That’s Maya.” Kara whispers on the phone like you all can’t hear her.
“Oh.” Alex stays silent for a few seconds and then you hear. “Hey, I work for the police. You just think about breaking my niece’s heart.”
“Oh my God, can you all stop?” You grunt looking at Jamie for help, and she stands up going to Kara and grabbing the phone from her hand.
“Can you come pick me up when the storm gets better?” Jamie asks and she walks to the living room with Kara following her closely.
“Again, I’m really sorry.” You look at Maya with pleading eyes. “I know you probably want to run away, but please, don’t. My mom is probably going to try to scare you, but we’re all very much harmless.” You smile a little. “Except for Jamie’s mom, she is terrifying.”
“Trust me, I’m ok.” Maya looks furtive around, and puts her hand on your cheek, coming closer to kiss you. “I get why they’re so protective. I mean, just look at this cute babyish face of yours.”
“She can call you babyface and I can’t?” Kara walks in the kitchen with Jamie not far behind, making Maya jump in her seat and get as far away from you as she can, without leaving her chair.
“So, Maya.” Lena walks in the kitchen too, and you’re already hating her tone. “Are you staying for dinner?”
“Um, I should call my mom first.” She stands up grabbing her phone, and you point to the living room so she can have more privacy. She leaves and you look at your moms on the other side of the counter.
“Stop looking at me like that.” You stand up, putting your books away. “I couldn’t possibly know a storm would hit National City making impossible for her to get away from you two.”
“Hey!” Kara defends herself. Lena only raises her eyebrow. You look at Kara, turning her head to the living room, and you poke her.
“Do not listen to her private conversation!” You demand and you look back at Jamie, also organizing her school materials.
“Yeah, aunt Kara. Don't use your super hearing, aunt Kara. Bad, aunt Kara. Yadda, yadda, yadda.” Jamie says and you furrow your brows at her. “What, she only does what she wants anyways.”
“Momma!” You’re almost jumping in front of her and she looks down on you. “That’s not ok.”
“Kara, stop messing with her.” Lena says from behind and Kara gives you a mischievous smile, like she wasn’t really listening, just pretending to. “Are you sleeping here tonight, Jamie?”
“Only if the storm doesn’t stop.” Jamie comes to the counter and looks at the food in front of Lena. “Oooh, are we having the famous Lena Luthor’s ‘throw everything in a casserole and see what comes out’ dinner?”
“You were way nicer when you were a kid.” Lena blinks once, looking annoyed and Jamie holds her laughter.
“Sorry, aunt Lena.”
“Hey, so, is it ok if I stay a little longer? My dad is still stuck at work because of the storm.” Maya asks, coming back to the kitchen and you look at Kara. Kara looks at Lena. And it takes them a whole ten seconds to finally go like “um, yeah, sure.” Which almost makes your heart stop.
“Why don’t you three go to the living room while I-” Lena looks at Jamie, defiant. “Throw everything in a casserole and wait to see what will come out?”
“Oh God.” You grab Jamie’s wrist, and put your hand behind Maya’s back. “Let’s go. They’re being awkward.”
“You’re awkward.” Kara mumbles under her breath and you’re glad you only heard, because of your super hearing.
You’re on the edge of your seat the entire time. Maya and Jamie are talking, laughing, taking pictures, and you’re there awkwardly pretending your mind isn’t somewhere else. What are they planning? Obviously, Kara has done enough of embarrassing, but what about Lena? Is she actually going to let it slide? That doesn’t sound like her.
Kara calls you guys back to the kitchen a while later. You know Lena wasn’t going to throw everything into a casserole and hope it works, but after Jamie joked about it, it was exactly what she did. She puts the food in the middle of the table, and raises one eyebrow at Jamie.
“You first.” Then she uses her tone that sends shivers down your spine.
“What is happening?” Maya whispers in your ear, and you look at her feeling like you should apologize once more.
“They’re challenging each other. It’s silly.” You whisper back, aware that only Kara can hear you.
“I can’t stop watching.” Maya mouths at you, and you smile. Lena and Jamie still haven’t broken eye contact and no one is moving.
“Go on.” Lena pushes it closer to Jamie, who gulps and finally serves herself. Everyone is staring at her while she puts the first bite on her mouth and chews silently. She shrugs a while later.
“It’s actually pretty good.” Jamie says with a smile, making everyone breathe out, and Lena rolls her eyes, finally sitting on the table. She then turns to Maya.
“Please. Girlfriends first.” She uses the same tone, and Maya’s eyes almost pop out of their head, before she shakes her head agreeing and serving herself.
The food is not all bad. It could be a lot better if she wasn’t trying to scare everyone off. But is edible and a lot better than anything Kara can make on her own.
“So, Maya…” Kara starts again and you already feel your heart is going to beat out of your chest. “What’s up with the hate for the Luthors?”
Great. Just great. Awesome. Thank you, momma.
Maya chokes on her food, surprised by such a blunt question, and you want to dig a hole on the floor and disappear in it.
“Oh, um. I don’t hate the Luthors, ma’am.” She manages to say. “My parents are not, um, fans. Because of that time Lex tried to control everyone. You know-”
“We know.” Lena breathes deep, looking exhausted. “Trust me, we know.”
“But I know you did amazing things for the world, and every time you work with Supergirl the world is saved, so…” Maya smiles, and you make heart eyes at her. She is so amazing. “I’m sorry about my parents. Not everyone can see past such a small thing as a last name.”
“Oh.” It’s Kara’s response.
“You don’t have to be sorry.” Lena says with a smile directed at her, and you see her features softening. “I just want to make sure my daughter is not being judged with the same standards as my crazy brother. But you know her, so I don’t think you can.”
“I really can’t.” Maya looks back at you, making you blush. “There’s no one in this world like her. She needs her own standards.”
“Aw.” Jamie and Kara say together, making you blush harder.
The dinner goes smoothly after this. It’s pretty clear Maya won your moms over. You always knew she could. No, you didn’t know, but you expected. No, you didn’t expect, but you hoped. And she did.
When dinner is over, there’s only a light rain outside, so Maya’s dad picks her up right after. Lena and Jamie make up over ‘the best dessert Lena ever cooked”, and you look around happy. Kara comes close to you and kisses your temple.
“I like her.” She says matter-of-factly.
“Oh, is that why you were trying to make her run away?” You raise one eyebrow at her and she chuckles softly.
“We’re not a normal family, baby.” She tells you, looking at Lena and Jamie laughing on the other side of the counter. “She has to get used to it now. It only gets weirder.”
“You’re weirder.” You bitch grin making Kara laugh.
She’s right though. Your family is weird. But it’s yours, and you love it as it is.

.
- “I need you to guard this for me”- Matthew Gray ran into the kitchen and nearly killed his girlfriend of a heart attack. She jumped on her spot and almost dropped the cake pan she was holding.
- “Jesus!! Gubler!!”- but he just laughed and kissed her cheek sweetly, notoriously excited about something she didn’t know.
- “Sorry Bunny!! Just keep this for me for a while, ok?”
Matthew placed an envelope in her pocket and wrapped his arms around her waist.
- “What are you baking?”
- “I’ve been craving an ice cream cake all week, and today I finally have time to do it”
- “Damn, sounds good, which ice cream’s flavors?”
- “Oreo cookies and cream, and chocolate chip cookie dough”- Gubler kissed (Y/N)’s neck making her giggle as she kept pouring batter on the pan.
- “You are gonna make me get fat”
- “You don’t have to eat it”- (Y/N) turned and smiled at her boyfriend- “More for me.”
- “You wish, young lady, but that ice cream cake has to get the Gubler’s seal of approval before it’s served”- Matthew pecked her nose and moved to the fridge. His girlfriend stared at him with a sweet smile, thinking she was dating the most adorable manchild on earth.
- “And what am I guarding by the way?”
(Y/N) looked back at the pan and prepared it to get into the oven, and her boyfriend stayed quiet for a few seconds, trying to arrange his thoughts. It was an important deal, and he had to make sure it all turned out perfect.
- “Remember that project I’ve been working on?”- he finally said, as casually as possible.
- “The “Super Secret Mystery Project”?”- she asked, thrilled to know more about it- “The one you’ve been working secretly for the last two weeks?”
- “Yes, that’s the one”- the actor took a sip of water and finally made his move- “I was thinking I could show it to you later”
- “Really? is it done?”- (Y/N) turned to him the second she closed the oven- “Can we see it now?”
- “Nope, you have to finish that cake first”- her instantaneous pout made him chuckle immediately.
- “Please?”
- “No, Bunny, you’ll have to wait.”
The “Super secret mystery project” had taken Matthew Gray Gubler at least two weeks in the making, mostly because he had to do it at work, in between shots in the set. Why? ‘cos (Y/N) couldn’t see it, which meant he couldn’t do it home.
Ever since the last time he was forced to spend a whole week home alone, he had made the decision: it was time to propose. But first, he had to find the perfect way to do it.
There was no way on earth Gubler was going to do it over dinner in a restaurant.
Neither on the beach at sunset. It had to be special. It had to be different. It had to be about them. Easier said than done, that’s why it took him exactly seventeen days to be completely ready to do it. And the day was that night.
- “Ok Gubbilubie, the cake is in the freezer, can I see the “Super secret mystery project” now?”- (Y/N) literally jumped on the couch onto Gubler’s lap and pouted- “Please?”
- “Gubilubie? what the fuck?”
- “I don’t know, it just came to my mind in the desperation to get your… attention?”- she made up a bad excuse and snickered- “Come on, it wasn’t that bad… was it?”
- “Please never call me that again”- Matthew Gray pretended to get serious, but you could tell he was making his best not to smile.
- “What? Gubilubie? why not? it sounds super cute”
- “I hate it”- he was lying
- “If you don’t want me to call you that again, show me the Super Secret Mystery Project.”
- “You love calling it by that name, don’t you?”- Gubler leaned and kissed (Y/N)’s lips softly a few times.
- “What can I say… it’s a good name, just like Gubilubie”
- “Stop it”
(Y/N) smiled and watched him stand up and grab the remote control.
- “Ok, so, it took me a while to master this project, it’s something I’ve had in mind for years, but it has always been hard for me to find the right time to do it… besides, I felt I needed more to add to the story, more character development, more… I don’t know, like one last push, maybe? I don’t know how to explain it”
- “Is this about the puppet show you were putting on the other day in your office?”
- “No”- Matthew laughed immediately- “Although, maybe I could add it… I’m not sure… it’s not a bad idea”
- “Come on! show me the project!”- (Y/N) jumped on her seat and clapped excitedly.
- “Fine, just… be honest and tell me what you think, ok?”
Matthew Gray Gubler was nervous. He had always said you had to get nervous when you were doing something important, ‘cos it meant you actually cared for it. Well, this time, he was truly nervous. Afraid even… hysterical, maybe, but making his best to look as cool as a cucumber. He loved that comparison, he was indeed a fan of cucumbers. Not ta fan of eating them, ‘cos he said they were disgusting, but he supported them. His words exactly.
The second he pushed play, there was no way back.
- “Hi, I’m Matthew Gray Gubler”- the image of him sitting in his trailer waving at the camera made (Y/N) smile immediately- “And today, I’m here to make some magic, make you laugh, but mostly, to tell you a little story about this incredible girl who met this, badly groomed, awkward and hyperventilated looking dude a few years ago, and somehow, fell in love with him”.
(Y/N) looked at him not getting what was going on. He just smiled and pointed at the screen.
- “Keep watching, it gets better.”
And it did.
- “Hi, I’m (Y/N)”- on the screen, Gubler impersonated her voice and stood next to a real size cardboard cutout standup of her, in the middle of the bullpen set. There were people around him actually pretending that wasn’t weird at all and just kept working.
- “Are you serious?!”- the real-life (Y/N) yelled and laughed as soon as she saw the screen- “What the fuck is this?”
- “Just keep watching, and don’t laugh, this is some serious work, Bunny, it might be the best thing I’ve ever directed”
- “Hello, I’m Matthew, nice to meet you, (Y/N)”- and in the scene, Gubler shook the cardboard hand and smiled- “You smell like cinnamon”
- “I just baked cinnamon rolls”
- “So, do you bake a lot?”- that had indeed been their first and awkward conversation the day they had met at a party one of their friends had thrown.
- “No… yes, have someone ever told you how hot you are?”
- “Gubler!”- (Y/N) yelled and smacked his arm right away- “I didn’t say that!!”
- “It’s an adaptation, I’m sure you were thinking about it”
- “I was not thinking that!”
Yes, that was exactly what she had thought.
- “Be quiet, I wanna know what happens next”- Matthew covered (Y/N)’s mouth with his hand and turned to the screen.
- “And, would you like to go out sometime? maybe get some coffee?”- Gubler said to the cardboard.
- “Sure, sounds like a plan, you look like a nice, handsome young man who can make me happy”- (Y/N) turned and looked at Matthew with narrowed eyes, but didn’t make a noise. She was enjoying the super secret project way too much to keep talking.
- “This is an incredible evening, so romantic!”- cardboard (Y/N) said. The scene was taking place in the Criminal Minds’s jet set- “I can’t believe you are taking me to London on our first date”
- “Why didn’t you do that in real life?”- she whispered and giggled, but he shushed her and pointed at the screen.
- “Pay attention!”
- “Anything for you, Bunny”
- “You are amazing Matthew Gray, you are the most handsome, intelligent and tall man I have ever met”- Gubler’s impersonation was so funny, his girlfriend couldn’t stop laughing
- “You forgot I can also do magic”
- “I can’t believe it! you are perfect”- (Y/N) had to bit her lip to control the laughter.
- “Would you like to see a trick?”
- “Of course, there is nothing on earth sexier than a guy who can do magic”
- “Great, let me get my special deck”
On the screen, Gubler started to prepare a magic trick, but now the camera was pretending to be (Y/N), so he was sitting right across from her.
- “Take that deck of cards and pick nine cards”- on-screen Matthew said, and in real life, he pointed at a deck sitting on the coffee table
- “I think he wants you to do it”- he whispered and his girlfriend looked at him confused.
- “What?”
- “He said he was going to make a trick for you, so… try i”t- not getting what was actually going on, (Y/N) grabbed the deck and did as told.
- “Do you’ve got your nine cards?”
- “Yup”- (Y/N) answered the screen feeling like a dork. Like a happy and excited dork.
- “Great, now shuffle them a little, then turn them, and fan them, so all the numbers are facing you, got it?”
- “Yes Mister Magician”- (Y/N) nodded at the screen and giggled, having the time of her life.
- “Spread them out, can you see all of them?”
- “Yes Gubidubi”
- “Stop it”- real-life Matthew whispered, making his girlfriend laugh
- “Shh, I’m doing a magic trick here, don’t interrupt me!”
He kept looking at her, now sitting on the floor, with his legs crossed, her eyes stuck at the screen. And he kept feeling his heart about to come out of his chest. That was indeed the biggest and more important project he had ever made.
- “Now it’s time to pick a card, I’m gonna roll my lucky nine sides dice to pick it, ok?”- the two of them watched how Gubler did so on the screen- “Number two, so look at your second card from left to right, and memorize it, ok? ‘cos that’s your secret card, and you don’t have to forget it, alright?”
The girl nodded and looked at it.
- “I don’t know what cards you’ve got, so this is going to very hard to do… but trust me, Bunny, the Great Gubler is gonna blow your mind”
There was a short silence, ‘cos both on-screen, and real-life Matthew were looking at her at the same time, if possible.
- “Get the cards together, turn them over, numbers down, and we are going to do my secret special shuffle, the one that’s going to do all the magic, ok?”
It was funny ‘cos (Y/N) was actually nodding at the screen, making Gubler chuckle.
- “You have to spell your name putting the cards in a pile, ready? use one card for each letter”- and so, she did as asked- “Ready? now take the cards left in your hand and put them on top of the pile, and now hold all of them in your hand, got it?”
- “Yes!”- she wasn’t actually trying to hide her excitement
- "Awesome Bunny, now I want to be part of this so why don’t you spell my name with the cards, just like you did with yours”- (Y/N) frowned and looked at her real-life boyfriend
- “Just Matthew or can I use one of the million nicknames?”- but the answer came from the tv.
- “Spell Matthew, Bunny”- her jaw dropped, and yelled.
- “Witchcraft!!”
Her boyfriend was really having a hard time trying no to laugh, he kept biting his lips as he smiled. So far, so good.
- “Are you done? now place the remaining cards on top of the pile, pick them all, and now put the first one facing down on the table”
- “Ok…”- she whispered
- “Now the next one on top of it”
- “Alright…”
- “Keep going, you can stop whenever you want to, and when you do, I want you to put the remaining cards on top of the others... if you don’t have any left, that’s cool, I just hope the trick isn’t ruined”
(Y/N) chuckled at Gubler’s face on the screen and did as told.
- “Now, as you can see, there’s no way I can know which card you selected ‘cos… well I’m not there, and I don’t know which card you selected, but, I am gonna give it a shot, ok?”
The fact she was nodding at the screen, forgetting Matthew was in fact sitting there next to her, was so far, his favorite part of the whole video. She was so into the trick, she had no idea what was coming up next.
- “Ok Bunny, move a little closer to me and place your card facing down in your hand”- she crawled closer to the tv and giggled.
- "And now take the first three cards, don’t look at them, just hold them up and show them to me… no, neither of those, throw them away, we don’t need them, show me the next two”
And so she did, giggling nervously, thinking there was no way on earth that trick was ever going to work.
- “Nope, your card ain’t there either, show me one more… nope, nothing… are you sure you shuffled this right? yes? sorry, don’t look at me like that! ok… you know what, none of those is your card, I’ve got the feeling you’ve got it hidden somewhere… hold it… I can feel it”
(Y/N) frowned, confused and by instinct, her hand moved to the envelope her boyfriend had given her earlier.
- “Yes Bunny… show me what’s in that envelope”- she knew it was the same man the whole time, but it was still freaky the guy on the tv knew everything she was doing in real life.
- “Now, open the envelope and show me the card…”- she did exactly what the magician asked her to do, and saw him smile.
- “Finally! that’s your card, take look at it”
When (Y/N) turned the card, she wide opened her eyes. It was actually the card she had picked, but it also had a note written on top of it with a handwriting she knew all too well, that said: “Turn around”.
And when she did, she saw Matthew Gray Gubler kneeled in front of her holding the perfect engagement ring.
- “I always thought magic was an illusion you create for an audience until I met you, and you made me feel the magic in life without any kind of trick, that’s why I want to be with you for the rest of my life, trying to make your days as magical as you make mine… so… (Y/N) (Y/L/N), would you marry me?”
The tears and the smile across her face were all the answer Matthew needed, but it wasn’t until he heard her say “I do” that he didn’t let out the breath he had been holding ever since he had stopped talking.
That was it, it was finally happening, in the most romantic, different, nerdy way Gubler could have thought about. And she had said yes. Anyone would have been sure she was going to accept, but he didn't want to take her for granted, it was the first mistake in a relationship. He hadn't done that in seven years, he wasn't going to start now.
They held each other tight for a few minutes, whispering how much they loved each other. They kissed, they even cried a little (more than a little, actually), and finally, they sighed and smiled.
- “Is it too soon to ask for some of that ice cream cake?- Gubler whispered in her ear and she laughed.”
- “I was thinking about it... celebration cake?”
- “And then, celebration sex?”- they smiled at each other and nodded.
- “I love you, Gub”
- “I love you, Bunny.”

The coffee in your mug was long cold, yet you threw it back in one gulp anyway, flinching at the bitter taste. Your need for caffeine was higher than your pride.
“Girl, are you alright?” Natasha appeared at your desk, plopping some folders on top of it. “You look like there was lemon juice in that cup. Cheer up will you, it’s Valentine’s Day! Have you bought something special for your handsome man?” She wiggled her eyebrows suggestively, hinting at something not safe for work.
You sighed, leaning back in your chair. “That’s the problem, Natasha. Forty- Tobias is away for work. There’s no way he’s going to make it home tonight…”
Natasha put her hand on your shoulder. “Oh no… That’s too bad! Perhaps you can celebrate it later, hm?”
Before you could respond, Tasha’s eye fell on something behind you. “Mother of…”
“I have a delivery for (Y/n) (L/n).” a stranger behind you said. Pivoting on your rotating chair, you came eye to eye with a young man holding the largest bouquet of red roses you had ever seen.
Your cheeks flushed at the sight. “That’s me…” you told him and he approached you, handing it to you as well as a letter and a small box.
“Despite him not being able to celebrate today, it seems like he’s thinking about you, (Y/n)!” Natasha beamed. You smiled shyly and signed on the clipboard for the delivery guy before he greeted you and left the room.
“Look at that!” Tasha laughed, “You’ve got a keeper!”
You rolled your eyes, smirking. “Oh, Tasha, please… We’ve been together for over five years now. Of course he’s a keeper.” You buried your nose momentarily in the flowers to sniff them and sighed happily.
“Here, I’ll put them in some water for you. You read that letter and check out what’s in that box.”
You gave her the bouquet with a thankful smile, reaching for the envelope in order to open it. In it was a beautiful Valentine’s card, and you quickly began reading.
  My sweetest (Y/n),
I’m sorry that I can’t be there today. I hope you’ll enjoy the roses. I promise to make it up to you soon. Yours truly.
PS. Open the box in private and use it right away
Your heart swelled at his wonderful words, butterflies circling through your stomach. The last sentence on the card made you a little confused though, and when Tasha returned from the office kitchen after putting the roses in some water, she snatched it from your fingers without asking.
“Natash—” “Holy shit! That’s so romantic! You’re so lucky with a gentleman like that! I wish Leon was this thoughtful…”
You smiled and raised an eyebrow… If she only knew about his occupation…
“Wait, what does he mean with opening the box in private? Maybe there’s lingerie in there? I need to know!”
She already had her hands on the small pink box and was about to pull off the ribbon when you grabbed her wrist.
“Natasha, I’m going to do what the letter states and open it in private. After all, it’s my gift.”
She sighed and realised that you were right. “That’s true. I’m sorry, (Y/n). Sometimes I just get too enthusiastic about things and then I can’t control what I—”
“I know.” you interrupted her, smiling. “It’s okay.” Natasha was a wonderful co-worker, but she could be a bit much. It was a good thing that you loved her to death.
You took the present and disappeared to the bathroom for some more privacy. Carefully, you took off the ribbon and then lifted the velvety lid of the box.
As you saw what was inside, you gasped and felt your cheeks flame. Revealed to you, a bright pink love egg.
Use it right away, the letter had stated.
And then it hit you – there was no remote.
You cursed under your breath, your stomach a pool of excitement and butterflies. This man never ceased to surprise you. How strong was that remote, anyway? You guessed you were about to find out.
There was no real trouble in getting it into place, and you walked back to your working station as casually as possible. A few other co-workers had entered the office as well, much to your dismay. Alone time with Natasha was always the best, but your other colleagues proved to be a pain.
You sat down on your chair, squeezing your legs together as tightly as you could. Pulling out your phone, you sent 47 a text.
Y/n: Thank you for the roses, I love them <3 You received a reply right away.
47: I’m glad. Are you wearing your gift? Y/n: I am… Where are you?
“What was in there? Come on, spill!” Natasha urged, causing one of your older co-workers to hush her in annoyance.
“I’m not telling!” “Why not?” “Because it’s private!” “Ooh, kinky! Is it massage oil?” You smacked her arm and she cackled. “Go back to work, we’ve got plenty to do!” you whined.
Just when she turned away, a jolt went through you as the egg started vibrating. You jerked in your seat and stifled a yelp, causing Natasha to look at you. “Are you okay?”
“Yes, I’m fine! I ah… I just feel the need to sneeze, but it’s stuck.” “Alright girl. See you in a bit, alright?”
As she walked back to her own station, you let your jaw fall open a little. Looking at the window, you tried to see if you could spot 47 – after all, you had no idea where he was at this very moment.
He increased the intensity by one level and you had to suppress a soft moan of surprise, biting your bottom lip. You texted right away:
Y/n: 47, I need to concentrate! 47: Just try to relax, sweetheart. It’s Valentine’s Day after all.
Your fingers slightly trembled as you took your pen and tried to write down some notes. It was obvious in your handwriting that your mind was anywhere but on the paper in front of you. After managing to write a full sentence, you took your phone again, texting back:
Y/n: I’m at work. How about you use this tonight? 47: I’m at work too, so that’s no excuse. 47: I take it you like it then?
Gritting your teeth, you prevented yourself from rolling your eyes. After all, he knew you way too well to know that you were indeed enjoying this way more than you’d ever admit.
The vibrations now came in jolts several seconds from each other, almost in waves, and in turn, your pleasure increased. You bit down on the inside of your cheek, your back arching into your seat, slick escaping to stain your thighs.
47: You’re so beautiful looking like that.
Your eyes widened at the text and immediately looked around, sobered up at the confession.
47: You can stop looking, sweetheart. I’m not there.
Never before had your fingers typed a reply so quickly.
Y/n: What on Earth are you up to? Y/n: I can’t focus on my paperwork like this and it’s due at midnight!
The vibrator buzzed a bit firmer and you tried your best not to squeal, your straining clit brushing against the material of your undergarments painfully. You crossed your legs to ease some of the dull throb, but it worked only for a few seconds.
47: I may or may not have hacked into your webcam.
You gasped out loud, a few heads whipping your way, sending you annoyed glances. Cheeks aflush, you scooted closer to your desk. Your eyes went to the webcam, as if you could see him through it.
Y/n: 47! You’re spying on me! 47: Trust me, just for the occasion. I needed to make sure that my gift was used correctly. Y/n: So you just invade my privacy?
Your text was supposed to scold him, but the pleasure surging through you was too great to ignore. You gripped the edge of your desk, your phone hitting the table with a thud.
The vibrator caused pulses of electricity to travel up your spine all the way to your brain, sending you into a hazy bliss.
47: I wish I was there with you right now, sweetheart. You have no idea how beautiful you are.
Clenching your hand over your mouth, you tried to not whimper at both the sensation of your orgasm approaching and the incredibly sweet text he sent.
47: Don’t reply, (Y/n). Just relax and focus on me.
Your eyes flicked to the webcam and the intensity went up, and you tried your hardest to not moan out, instead swallowing it and exhaling deeply, as quietly as you could.
47: That’s it, sweetheart. Is your desk close to the bathroom?
Nodding, you sucked in your bottom lip.
47: OK. Now look at me. Look at me when you cum.
He didn’t need to tell you again – your eyes were fixated upon the camera, and once you did, the love egg hit your g-spot, perfectly – and sent you over the edge. Your knuckles turned pale at how hard you were squeezing your desk, legs trembling underneath it, toes curled in your shoes.
Arching your back slightly, you managed to quietly breathe through your orgasm, hoping to not attract too much attention at the creaking of your chair. The insides of your legs were stained with your juices, hopefully not too noticeable upon standing.
47: I’m proud of you. Y/n: You’re proud of me because you’re bullying me with that device? 47: Bullying you? Never. 47: Keep it in.
“(Y/n), do you have some extra paperclips for me?” You looked up like a deer in the headlights and saw one of your colleagues standing a little away.
“O-Oh, sure.” you stammered, reaching for your drawer and giving him some. “Thanks.” he replied. “Anyway, how about we go out for a drink tonight?”
“I don’t think so.” was your reply. “Oh, why? You don’t need to be shy, although you are cute when you blush.”
Right on that moment, the love egg started to vibrate again, intensely so. Your eyes widened and you gritted your teeth. “I’m taken.” you squeaked.
The co-worker rolled his eyes and huffed a “Whatever.” before stalking off again. You immediately reached for your phone, texting your lover on the other side of the webcam.
Y/n: Agent 47, I swear!
A few moments later, you received a reply.
47: Now you definitely have to keep it in.
