oscar isaac characters with an s/o who subtly paints the furniture
Tumblr media
Saw this on Insta and thought it was really cute so have some blurbs 😊
If there is any I have missed that you would like to see, let me know (but bear in mind I have not seen all of Oscar's performances so may turn some down!)
Tumblr media
Steven Grant
Once he saw it, he was confused as to where it came from, because he doesn't remember it being there before
But then he catches you painting another flower on the skirting board one slow Sunday afternoon
Thinks it's the cutest fucking thing he's ever seen
It brings a bit of brightness into the flat
When he approaches you about it you’re immediately apologising since you actually only spend half your time at the flat
“Don’t be silly, I want to know if I can join you?”
Marc Spector
Noticed at the same time as Steven
Was also confused because he couldn't remember if it was there before or not
Feels like he's losing the plot a little because more small paintings keep popping up but he isn't sure where they're coming from
Finally notices it's you when you've left your paints out on the coffee table one afternoon when you've had to rush to work
And it all just clicks in his mind
Goes out and buys you all the paint you want because he wants all your artwork on the walls
Jake Lockley
Honestly, he spotted you the first time you did it, like immediately
Loves that you do it, thinks it's cute
But he also thinks it hilarious to add onto your artwork and not tell you
So much so that you think you're losing the plot, because "you do not remember painting a duck with those flowers?"
He plays ignorant, obviously
But you catch him one day painting and wordlessly join him
Now it's become a weekly thing you do together
Llewyn Davis
Poor baby doesn't have furniture
But he crashes as yours quite a bit and he's noticed the small pieces dotted around your apartment
He likes them, he thinks they're cute
He was out auditioning one night when he noticed his guitar, there was a bunch of daisies painted on the back
His guitar is his pride and joy, and if it were anyone else he'd be fuming
But he's not
He feels warm, like a piece of you is with him wherever he goes
Now every gig he does, he comes to you, and asks you to do another painting, "for luck"
Blue Jones
This one is a bit risky
Because there isn't an awful lot of recreation in the asylum, so you bribed some orderlies to get you some paint
And you got a total of three colours, but that's fine, you can make it work
Brings a bit of brightness to the asylum, since everything is grey
Blue is pissed and wants to know who is doing them
You, somehow, manage to break into Blue's office and - essentially - throw up a middle finger at him, and do a bunch of paintings around his office, in really obvious places
He catches you in the act since he comes back from lunch early
You're fucked
He has you on your hands and knees, scrubbing at each painting in his office, then he puts you in solitary for two weeks and has your paints disposed of
However, he notices a small painting of lavender under his desk that was missed in the clean up
He keeps it there
Nathan Bateman
You wouldn't dare, his coffee table alone costs more than your rent does in a year
Richard Alonso Muñoz
You already have your paintings up in the house so he loves whatever artwork you do
Honestly, I don't think you'd hide it from Richard, he probably told you to go nuts when you moved in
Takes photos of your work all the time to show his buddies at the prison
Some of the prisoners have asked if you can come in and do an art class for them, which you are happy to do on a weekend when you have more free time
Richard has put in the request but it hasn't been approved yet
Richard starts buying the seeds/bulbs for flowers you paint, to go in the front garden
Learns all about them in books, and how to take care of them
Now and then requests you to paint a flower he's seen in said books
Poe Dameron
Like Blue, gets confused on who is painting across the base, but obviously isn't pissed about it
Gets seriously confused when he finds one of the paintings in his personal room
He asks BB-8 but he hasn't a clue either
Until one day, BB-8 comes to Poe with a small little painting of Poe, of all things, on him
But BB-8 is so amused about it that he doesn't tell Poe
He catches you when you're painting something on his X-Wing
Scares the living daylights out of you when he calls you and asks what you're doing
You apologise, and tell him you'll take it off as soon as
But he tells you not to bother, because it's a - albeit crude because of the size - little portrait of you, and him, and BB-8
He refuses to wash it off and if it ever fades, instantly asks you to redo it
When you get married, he paints on wedding rings
Santiago Garcia
You're his roommate since you worked together in the forces
He had no idea you could paint
Strangely doesn't catch you for the longest time
He thinks it's Benny playing a trick on him, or Frankie
Grills them for the longest time until you finally admit it was you
You tell him it helps with the nightmares, that it calms your mind
After that, Santi doesn't bother you with it
When he sees you painting on his dining table leg, he makes you a coffee and just sits next to you and watches silently
Now every time you tell him you're going to paint, he comes and just sits, watching you
It's therapeutic for you both

Wally x Frustrated!Artist Reader
(Platonic or Romantic)
Summary:
Reader has had a frustrating day with people saying mean things about their art. Wally proceeds to comfort them. Context: Reader may enter and exit Welcome Home, the show, at their own free will. There will be another oneshot to explain this for the future. Trigger Warnings?: Some angst(??), unsolicited criticism, sad reader :(
You just about had it. You didn't know whether you wanted to cry or yell, but it was tempting to do either. You held your sketchbook tight to your body, walking away from the scene to avoid any possible outburst you would have had if you'd stayed any longer.
You remembered how it all started. You had just finished a drawing you made, colouring, shading, and all. It was beautiful to stare at. You couldn't even believe you made it. Of course there might have been a few mistakes here and there, but it was still so gorgeous to you.
You were at the library with some buddies, so it was expected one of them would have taken notice of your attention's sudden ensnarement caused by the paper in front of you. They looked over and poked your shoulder.
You focused your attention back to them and gave a quiet hum, tilting your head in the process.
"What're you doing?" They asked, peering over at the paper.
"Oh! I just finished a drawing! I guess I just couldn't keep my eyes off it, huh?" You responded, placing your hand on your neck and rubbing it with some embarrassment. They gave a light chuckle and stared back at the drawing, before looking to you and smiling.
"It looks great!"
You perked up and felt your heart flutter. "Really?" You were sincerely glad to hear this, knowing how much you've been struggling to gain confidence in your art. They nodded and continued staring. "I was thinking of posting it online! I really like the way I did the lineart and colours on this! It's the first time I felt this proud of anything I've made, really!"
"Yeah, totally! I mean, I don't think a lot of people will really give it a like, but it's still really good!"
Your smile faltered if only for a second. "Uh, yeah?" Now what the hell did that mean?
"I mean, it's good. It's just that I don't think the algorithm will make it as popular as you think."
You felt your cheeks flush, a deep pit forming in your stomach. You felt as if you made a big mistake. "Um... Yeah. I guess."
They noticed your newly formed grimace and hummed. "Again, it's not bad. I don't get why you look so devastated."
You felt taken aback by their comment and scoffed. "Well, I know what you mean by the algorithm and all, but you don't think it's just a tad messed up to say something like that- like-- out of no where?"
"Not really. I mean, I said it's good. I'm not going to say it's a masterpiece or whatever if that's what you're asking me to do. There's still some mistakes like how the lighting is going off from different directions and stuff."
"Wow, um, okay. I didn't ask you to do a single thing, but alright."
"I just don't get why you're so upset. I told you it's good."
You nodded and got up from your seat, pushing the chair in behind you and grabbing your belongings. "Sorry, you're right. I'm just gonna go home now."
"Uh, alright."
That's when you left. You really didn't want to apologize, but you sure as hell knew that if you stayed and argued, they would have probably said some more upsetting things. They would have gotten frustrated with you, and that would have made you feel guilty. You knew you weren't the wrong one in this kerfuffle, but you still felt the heaviness of the words they had told you.
When you got home, you immediately walked into your room with the same deep weight in your heart. You couldn't stop thinking of their words. To hear the validation only to be hit with a backhanded comment like that felt like if someone just handed you a two question based homework assignment with sub-questions.
You lifted the drawing from your chest and stared at it, looking at the inconsistent lighting, your eyes darting back and forth from the once excellent linework to the botched details of the small things like colouring outside the lines.
Maybe you shouldn't post this.
You gave a heavy sigh and felt your face droop.
You sat on your bed and stared at the ground, pondering for a moment before a loud ring began to encroach on your hearing. You shot your eyes to the red telephone on your desk. You almost forgot. You grabbed your sketchbook and picked up the phone.
"Hello?"
You closed your eyes right before the bright, flashing colours could hinder your vision, opening them only a second later to find yourself at Home. In Home, to be more exact.
You sighed in relief, seeing a figure run up to you excitedly.
"Hello, neighbour!"
It was Wally. You almost forgot about your deal. You promised to visit him every day at a specific time, or at the least check up with him, in exchange for the promise that he would not leave Home. (This was out of fear of what they would do to him if someone figured out he was a sentient muppet.)
"Hi, Wally," you greeted back, walking up to him with less energy than usual.
"I was worried when you didn't call right on time. I waited, but after ten more minutes, I thought I should call you myself. I hope that's okay?" He sounded so full of guilt. You couldn't help but give him a soft smile.
He was always trying his best to make sure you weren't upset with him. Part of you felt like maybe it was because you were the only person he had contact with in the real world and would be afraid of driving you away, but another part of you felt like maybe it was just second nature to him. He was one of the most genuinely caring personalities you've met.
"Aw, Wally. Of course it's okay. I find it sweet, honestly. I'm sorry for not calling sooner. I sort of um..." You stared at your sketchbook and faltered. "I was caught up in some business."
You switched your focus to him and chuckled. "It won't happen again. I promise."
"Im glad to hear that, neighbour!" Wally's gaze was fixated on you intently. An uncomfortable silence weaving its way into a brightly colourful world full of friendy critters and muppets seemed impossible, really, but here you were, waiting patiently for the solace of any action or word to appear, only to find nothing in return.
It felt like the world was paused, with you and Wally being the only inhabitants with the ability to wander as you pleased.
"So what's happ-"
"Are you okay?" Wally interrupted, his unending smile still resting on his face.
You found this question odd at first. Were you being that obvious?
"Um.. Honestly?- I'm not as happy as I should be right now. Sorry if it was noticeable."
"Don't apologize, dear! It's only natural to feel upset! Did something happen?" Wally made his way to your side, placing a hand on your shoulder in an attempt to show you that he was here for you.
You exhaled with a smile. He was really considerate. You only knew him for about three weeks now, and he was still so kind to you.
"Well, it's a bit of a long story."
"I have all the time in Home!"
You chuckled and nodded, setting yourself down on the nearby grass with ease. "Alright, well.." You placed your sketchbook down next to you as Wally copied your action, sitting across from you with an engaged gaze. "I was really happy about something I made today, and I thought I did a great job."
Wally nodded as you spoke.
"I'm not usually ever happy with stuff I do, so this was really exciting for me," you continued, staring down at your sketchbook and lifting it up to meet your vision. "One of the people I knew came up to me and told me that it was good, so I was obviously excited, but then they said something that kind of hurt, and when they noticed that what they said hurt, they just kept saying more mean things."
You stared at the drawing and sighed. You looked back at Wally and gave him a sort of displeasured look. "I left, and now I can't stop thinking about what they said, so now I'm just lost on whether or not I was right to feel as happy as I did the first time I saw my fully made work."
Wally nodded and tilted his head, redirecting his concentration to the drawing pad you held. "Did you draw something?" He inquired with a softer tone. You nodded in response.
He hummed and looked back at you. "Would it be okay if I took a look?"
You hesitated for the smallest moment before nodding. You shouldn't have to give it a second thought. Wally was an artist like you, so maybe he would understand a bit more. He reached out, gently grabbing onto the book and staring at the recent page you used.
"...No critiques please," you mumbled, feeling embarrassed that you even had to ask that. Wally's pupils seemed to be moving fast. You tried reading his expression, worrying a little bit when you realized how hard that actually was.
"It's.. It's so beautiful."
You exhaled with a big smile. "Really?" You tried not to get your hopes up this time, so you dialed your excitement back down a bit.
Wally kept staring at the drawing, his eyes never seemed to stop moving. It was as if he was trying to memorize it for himself in the future.
"Of course it is! This colour.. This design! It's wondeful! I'm really astonished, dear! I don't understand how anyone could ever say such crude things about this!" He sat up straight, looking at you with a wider smile than before, his pupils larger than ever. "Why, I'm so proud to have such a creative and talented neighbour like you! I really have no words! I'd frame this if possible!"
Overwhelmed with joy, you began to giggle and tear up. This was a lot for you. Wally really seemed to love it, and it was more than enough to fill the pit in your stomach with butteflies. You felt like your heart would have fluttered out of your mouth if he continued any longer.
He said he was proud to have you as a neighbour.
It could almost make you cry, and without realizing, you did.
Wally jumped at this reaction and set the drawing down. "I'm sorry! Did I say something wrong?" He scooted closer to you, feeling very concerned about his words. As he was getting closer, you pushed your body forward and wrapped him a tight hug. He let out a noise of surprise before going limp in your arms.
"Sorry, you did nothing wrong, I'm just so happy!" You held onto him tight. Wally chuckled and nuzzled his head on your shoulder.
"I'm happy you're happy, neighbour!"
You let go after half a minute and wiped your tears away. Wally regained his motion again, grabbing the sketchbook and handing it to you.
"We should definitely draw together sometime, dear! You're very talented! If there's one thing I would want to tell you, it's that you should never doubt your skills, especially if you're proud of what you've made! I'm sorry someone said something terrible to you. You shouldn't pay any attention to them," he rambled, planting a hand on your leg as you took the drawing pad back.
"Don't worry too much about that, I feel much better now that you've helped me," you replied, fiddling with the pages of your book. "You always know what to say."
He nodded and stared deep into your eyes, the world going silent once again as you began to notice this eye contact. "I love to see you smile."
Your face flushed. "I.. Um, thanks! I love your smile too!" He continued staring and sighed, his eyelids beginning to droop ever-so-slightly. You felt yourself become at ease. Normally, you'd feel uncomfortable with staring at someone for too long, but he was hard to look away from. You oddly felt tired.
You cleared your throat. "So about that collaboration," you blurted.
"Oh, yes! What time would you like to draw?" Wally asked, perking up and smiling greatly.
"We could now, if you want." You simpered at his mannerisms. He acted like an excited puppy. His pupils dilated as you finished your sentence.
"Nothing would make me happier!"
"Then let's get goin'!"
You both got up from the grassy spot and headed towards his home with more bounce in your step than ever.
"I love you, neighbour!" Wally exclaimed.
"I love you too, Wally."
End.
Notes: There may be some minor spelling mistakes here and there, so feel free to correct me on that stuff. This is my first time posting a fic on Tumblr, so sorry if the format is weird.
This story is kinda based on something that actually happened to me (besides the wally part lol, that would have been cool). I decided, why not share with other people who experienced similar things?
Asks and requests are open, so feel free to stop by my account and leave a request!

Fuck it Friday!
Once again, back with some parenting Buddie fic. I swear to god I'm going to finish the first chapter and publish it soon. Tagged by the incredible @thewolvesof1998
Buck returned moments later in a flurry of activity, hooning around the table and setting up the gifts so they looked just right. He placed the biggest box in the middle of the table and surrounded Aidan’s spot with smaller gifts that him and Eddie had been picking out for a couple of weeks now. Christopher remembered with a jolt that he’d made a gift for Aidan and scuttled off to his room to grab it, returning just as Buck was standing back and looking at the presentation with approval. “Whatcha got there, bud?” he asked when Christopher appeared in the doorway, looking a little bashful. “I made Aid something” Christopher mumbled, blushing a little and looking at his feet. Ever since he’d officially become a teenager, Christopher had developed insecurities about just about everything. It had initially been small things, such as fussing about how his hair looked or moaning that his special orthotics made his shoes look weird, but recently, much to Buck and Eddie’s concern, it had progressed to doubting his abilities. Christopher had an affinity for art and had recently started creating some truly amazing works on his laptop with a programme Eddie had bought him a year or so ago. Buck would often wander into Christopher’s room to find him deep in concentration as he worked on his latest piece, tongue sticking out the side of his mouth and leg tapping up and down as he drew. Not only was it an excellent creative outlet for the kid but it had been having a positive, therapeutic affect on his fine motor control. However, recently, Buck had noticed Christopher becoming cagey about his work, turning his computer screen away whenever either of his dads walked into the room or getting snappy when they asked what he’d been working on. Buck had a feeling he was about to find out what it was. Christopher shyly held out the paper in his hand and Buck’s breath caught in his throat. Christopher had clearly put in a lot of effort into this. Staring up at Buck from the paper was an almost-perfect rendition of his son, grin so wide it almost takes up the whole page, with Christopher, Buck, and Eddie in the background. It’s so good in fact that it looks like someone took a photo of them and put a filter on it to make it look like a drawing but no, Buck knows Christopher has painstakingly placed every single stroke, every dash of colour. It’s enough to make a lump rise in his throat and he can’t do much more than clamp a hand over Christopher’s shoulder and pull him into his side. “Is it okay?” Christopher asks and Jesus, Buck wants to hurt whoever might have given Christopher the impression that his art is nothing short of worthy of being hung in the Louvre. “God, Chris, it’s amazing. I- I love it. Aid is going to love it”. He can’t stop staring at it, can’t stop marvelling at the talent of the kid still pressed into his side. To think, it’s almost been 7 years since he met Christopher and, in that time, he’s watched him blossom into a smart, talented and extremely quick-witted teenager. One he’s now proud to call his son. It’s enough to make Buck a little emotional.

episode one
-- -- --
[The screen seems to blink; first black then a flash of many colours, before focusing and settling on the scene the camera is filming. Seven people sit squished together on a couch – the paladins of Voltron. Some look particularly happier about the predicament than others.]
Lance, Allura (beaming): Hiya, everyone!
[Allura ducks her head to whisper something at Lance. She is not very good at whispering, so her words are picked up by the microphone.]
Allura: Did I say it correctly? Hiya?
[Lance makes a ‘perfect’ motion with his hands.]
Lance (whispering also): You nailed it!
[Both teens nod resolutely at each other and turn back to the camera.]
Lance: You guys loved that first episode. We got…so many space e-mails.
Hunk (amused): I think we can just call them e-mails, buddy.
[Lance sticks his tongue out at him, playfully annoyed, and then turns to Pidge, who is squished next to him and scowling heavily. He nudges her.]
Lance: If it’s in space, I say space. Space goo, space castle, space lions. Right, Pidgey?
Pidge (deadpan): You have three seconds to explain why I’m here or I’m tasing you again.
Lance: Yeesh, dude, fine.
[He turns to the camera, smiling, but it is significantly more mischievous than before.]
Lance: I mentioned that I got several space e-mails. Several hundred, really.
[Pidge taps her wrist.]
Lance: I’m getting there! Holy moly!
[He huffs at her, then turns his attention away, dragging something from his pocket and stuffing it into his hands before anyone can see.]
Lance: ANYWAYS. After I sorted through all the various marriage proposals for Hunk and some of the most insane strings of sentences that have ever been uttered thought or posted – and I’m a bisexual thot, so that’s saying something; some of y’all are horny – there were some genuinely interesting questions. So I thought we could answer some of them!
[He waves the thing he took from his pocket, which is now clear to be a stack of papers. His announcement draws a mix of emotions; whoops of excitement from the Alteans, an exasperated and fond sigh from Hunk, a look of resignation from Shiro, a groan of distress from Pidge, and a look from Keith that can only be described as the same wariness one might have when approaching a feral animal. Uncaring of any negativity, Lance primly straightens the papers, holding one in front of him with great fanfare.]
Lance: We’ll start with some group questions. Ease us all into it. Oh, I forgot to mention that I used one of Pidge’s programs to pick these questions for me based off a few parameters, so I genuinely have no idea what they’re going to be. I thought it would be more fun that way.
[He clears his throat.]
Lance: ‘To the Voltron team – what’s it like living with the same people every day? Is it fun, like a sleepover? Is there someone who’s a particularly worse roommate than the others?’
Lance: Oooooou, drama.
[A moment of contemplative silence.]
Shiro: Most of us are pretty used to sharing spaces with people, I think. I can’t speak for everyone, but I’ve lived the majority of my life in a military facility since I was twelve, so.
All other humans: Same.
Pidge: Well, not that long. It is a little more new to me. But I lived with my brother and parents before all this, so I’m totally used to banging on the bathroom door in the mornings because someone is hogging it.
[She looks pointedly at Lance. He shrugs.]
Lance: I will not apologise for my commitment to looking beautiful. It pays off, and you are all granted the privilege of looking at me, so.
Keith (confused): You have to try to be pretty?
[Hunk chokes. Shiro whips his head to stare at his brother, wide-eyed. Pidge frantically digs around for her phone, then remembers the camera, looking straight at it with an evil grin. Lance’s jaw drops.]
[Keith continues to stare at the Blue Paladin in confusion, oblivious to the double meaning of his question.]
Lance (hoarsely): What?
Keith: I mean, you get the soap and wash your face and hair and body and go. How do you…make yourself pretty? That’s just something you are or are not, right?
[Shiro places his head in his hands. His shoulders shake.]
Shiro: Oh, dear God.
[Hunk is biting his lip harshly to keep from laughing. Pidge and Allura offer no such courtesy, giggling openly to themselves.]
Lance:...
Lance: Keith, tell me you’re not washing your fucking hair with bar soap.
[All embarrassment seems to be forgotten in favour of disbelief.]
Keith: Of course I am. I actually do wash my hair, you know. Frequently.
Lance: With fucking bar so –
[He takes a deep, calming breath, bodily moving himself away as if proximity to Keith will somehow make his own hair-washing habits degrade.]
Lance: I am done talking about this. You are the worst roommate.
Keith: What? How? Because I wash my hair like a normal person?
Keith: At least I do it fast! You’re the worst roommate because you take four billion years to brush your teeth!
Lance (screeching): This mouth is plaque and gingivitis free, you skanky hoe! I spend a normal amount of time in the bathroom, you’re just a knobhead!
[Before Keith can argue back, Hunk reaches over and places a placating hand on Lance’s head.]
Hunk: Sorry, buddy, but as your roommate of almost six years now, you spend an insane amount of time in front of a mirror. I don’t have enough time in the day to count how often it would make us late.
Keith (emphatically): See? Worst roommate.
[Coran hums disapprovingly.]
Coran: I’m not sure that’s true, Number Four. He does more chores than the rest of you.
[Various mutters of agreeance.]
Shiro: True. Who’s the worst, then?
Pidge: Well, Hunk is always sneaking into my workshop and rearranging my shit.
Hunk: First of all, shared workshop. I am simply meandering over to your half. Second of all, I wouldn’t have to snoop if you simply indulged my curiosity.
Lance (deadpan): The same curiosity that inspired you to build and code a device to break into my phone when I wouldn’t tell you the name of the person I was seeing?
Hunk: In my defense, you generally have bad taste. You’ve been mugged four times.
Lance: Privacy, Hunk. Snoops are the worst roommates.
Allura: But he makes us treats! Surely that must count for something.
[Hunk looks at her, adoring and playful.]
Hunk: Allura, you are my favourite.
[Allura beams.]
Allura: Thank you!
Shiro: Hm. I suppose we all have annoying habits, but we’re all pretty helpful, too.
Coran (teasing): How diplomatic, Number One.
Lance: Taking that as a cue to move on.
[He looks down at his stack of papers.]
Lance: Uh, a couple of these are pretty straightforward. ‘What is the best part of being a paladin?’
Keith (immediately): Helping people.
[No one voices protest.]
Lance (quietly): Next one.
Lance: ‘Do you have to train a lot?’
[Three humans groan in unison. Shiro looks amused. Allura looks huffy. Keith looks a little bit like a teacher’s pet.]
Pidge: All fucking day!
Allura (primly): That is a gross exaggeration.
Hunk: The only gross thing around here is how sweaty I get after the bajillion thousand years of training every morning. It is agony.
Lance: Agreed. I got so sweaty I broke out the other day. Broke out. Me. I had to be consoled.
[Hunk and Pidge both nod very seriously. Pidge places a reassuring hand on his shoulder.]
Hunk: It was a very difficult night.
Shiro (smiling): Next question, you dorks.
Lance: This one is for Allura! ‘Were you friends with the mice before the cryo pod or did you only befriend them after? If the former, how did you end up becoming friends with them?’
[Allura lights up, either at the first directed question being to her personally, or because she is excited to show off her pets. She immediately pulls the mice out of her pockets, where they had been peacefully sleeping, and they blink and yawn as they wake, scampering up her arms to rest on her head.]
Allura: These friends are new! They were little stowaways. If I had known they were on the castle I would have befriended them much sooner.
Coran: She is very fond of animals. She would spend hours as a child building careful and gentle traps for any ‘pests’ that roamed the castle and disturbed the residents, so she could safely free them.
[Lance feigns an arrow to the heart, collapsing dramatically backwards. Everyone else simply smiles fondly.]
[Allura barely notices, attention turned upwards to her pets, where she strokes them gently.]
Allura: I love my friends very much. They make everything…
[She pauses for a moment, expression saddening.]
Allura: They help me keep a piece of home.
[Shiro reaches over to squeeze her shoulder. She smiles gratefully at him. After a moment she turns to look at Lance, indicating for him to continue.]
Lance: Two more.
[He takes a moment to read the first, then grins, sharp and teasing.]
Lance: ‘For Hunk: so did you and Shay ever become an iiiiiiteeeeeem?’
[Hunk flushes red. The rest of the team snickers, teasing and poking at him.]
Hunk: I doubt there was that much emphasis in the space e-mail, Lance.
Lance: No, there was.
[Keith crawls over the back of the couch to lean over Lance’s shoulder. He turns to Hunk, smirking.]
Keith: It definitely does, dude. Big and bold.
Lance (smugly): Thank you, Keith.
[Hunk scowls.]
Hunk: Funny how it’s suddenly easy for you two to work together when it benefits you.
Hunk: But whatever. We’ve been in contact. We have to follow up with people, you know.
Lance: Oh of course, of course.
Keith: Exactly the kind of kindness we expect from you, Hunk.
Pidge: Standard procedure.
Shiro: I would even say it’s protocol.
Allura: I’d be disappointed if you weren’t following up, truly.
Coran: Astounded by your commitment, dear boy.
[Hunk sighs, long and heavy.]
Hunk: I hate all of you. Move on, Lance, or I’m leaving.
Lance: Okay, grouchy.
[He turns to the last sheet, reading it carefully. Suddenly, his face blooms bright crimson, and he flips the page over, slamming it onto his knees.]
Lance (hurriedly): My mistake! Misprint, there’s nothing on this page. That’s all for this episode, everyone, tune in for the next –
Keith: Oh, no you don’t.
[Keith leans over and snatches the paper from Lance’s lap faster than Lance can stop him. Lance screeches, lunging after him, but he is too fast, and besides everyone else but Coran piles on top of him, barring him from tackling Keith to the ground. The Red Paladin perches on the back of the couch, paper in hand, hair mussed and wild and smile victorious.]
Keith: ‘Do you really not remember the Bonding Moment –
[Lance lets out a scream of emotional agony.]
Keith: – or were you just faking?’ Bonding moment is capitalised, by the way. In case you wanted to pretend you didn’t know exactly what this is talking about.
Lance (stubbornly): I don’t.
[Three people pinch him at once.]
Lance: Ouch! This is extortion!
Pidge: Deserved extortion, you liar.
Lance: I had brain damage! I don’t remember jack about shit!
Keith (voice cracking) (again): I cradled you in my arms!
Lance: No way! Don’t remember –
Keith (threatening): If you say ‘didn’t happen’, McClain, I swear to God –
Lance: – didn’t happen!
Hunk: One day you are going to piss off the angry knife boy just so and you are going to get stabbed. And I might not stop him.
Lance: This place is the worst. None of you love me. Only Coran.
[Coran gently pats Lance’s ankle.]
Coran: I don’t believe you either, dear.
Lance: Well, that’s fine. I will simply wallow away in agony and despair.
Coran: You do that.
[Lance sighs loudly, then squirms his way out of his teammates’ hold so his head his peeking out, glancing at the camera.]
Lance (sagely): Remember this injustice, Lance stans. I know you’re out there. Avenge me.
[On that dramatic note, the video cuts.]

Plastic Hearts - (21)

Brothers.
Also it's a short chapter cause I couldn't find much time.
---
He fit the googles around his eyes and fastened the biker gloves around his wrist. This was it. This was the great adventure. It just didn’t feel like it though.
He got onto his motorcycle, when Allan joined him as he took a seat behind him. Ken was glad that he had company, doing this task alone would have been more nerve wracking.
But he needed to get his head in the game, he had to, so he tuned out his thoughts as he heard Allan’s clear instructions. So he rode off, watching the darkened sun begin to rise as the early morning dust storm had begun to settle. The journey to the mount of great faces was simple enough. It was a well known spot, so the roads were wide and the signs were clear.
But as he rode, he would catch a glimpse of those posters again or run down Nomad vehicles or an abandoned gun by the roadside. He had to remember there was a darkside to this land now that it's innocence had been ripped away.
His grip tightened around the handle but he was grateful for his helmet, no one could read his expressions. Even without his helmet most people couldn’t decipher him well.
Well, except for you. He found it comforting, jus thoughts about you, the soft memories in his head seemed to offer him peace without fail.
He felt Allan tap his shoulder but he knew the reason for, the four Barbie faces loomed over them. All of it had been sculpted from pink rock but now it looked like concrete.
He brought the bike to a stop and parked it under a cover, to keep its presence hidden such that it was not stolen. The sun was now high in the sky signifying the change in time that only half a day was left. All the way through the drive was mostly silent, Allan seemed too stressed to hold a conversation and so Ken left him to his comfort.
“So it gets a little tricky from here.”, Allan spoke as he read the map and Ken removed his helmet, the warm dry air greeted him.
Allan was engrossed in reading the different coloured marker lines on the map he held in his hands, trying to find the path that could lead them to the big X. But as he observed him, he couldn’t help but take notice of the similarities.
When he was at the school, he would often see brothers come walk in together. The older boys would come by to drop off their young brothers in their class for their first day and as days went by even though these little kids showed up on their own, it was evident to see the comfort they had knowing their brothers were around.
But it wasn’t just there. At grocery stores, in the men’s department of a clothing store, at restaurants and bars. Siblings seemed to have a special connection and he had heard you ask him if he contemplated about those parts of life he never got to experience, he could now say that he was jealous of those who had a sibling.
Having parents was one thing but getting to have that brotherly bond was often an intrigue for Ken.
Allan showed up in his life much like a younger brother, if he drew comparison to the real world. One day Ken woke up to find that he had now had a designated buddy who could fit into his clothes.
But when he was going through a rough patch, Allan was the only one who cared after. What was more special was that there was only one of him and in the vast crowd of all the Kens who lived here, he felt fortunate to be the one to connect with him.
“Thank you for doing this.”, Ken stood his ground, not wanting to waste this second, this moment.
The surprise was evident on Allan’s face but it softened as he waved his hand as though it didn't matter.
“We’re friends. Don’t mention it.”, he smiled.
“No we’re not.”, Ken shuffled the helmet in his hand and observed the smile fade from Allan’s face.
“We’re more like brothers, if you’ll have me that is.”, he smiled, half expecting him to say no. But instead he was greeted by a hug.
“I’ve always hoped we could be.”, Allan said joyfully.
Ken completed the hug and his heart felt whole. He had a family now, he had always longed for love his entire life. And though since meeting you he had found his dream girl, his exposure to the real world had opened up a new wound. A wound that had slowly crept onto him like a passing shadow. He longed for a childhood he could never get.
But, that gapping hole was filled. He too had a brother now.
“Alright, lead the way.”, Ken chuckled as he pulled away because if he didn’t he was sure to shed a tear.
Allan stood taller, more confident as he held up the map towards the light before he placed in on the ground and began to fold the edges. A few seconds later, he held a paper heart that had rearranged the whole map such that it revealed the pink line was the only path that led to the proper destination.
Instead of entering the rocky pass, Allan began to walk into a different cavern opening. Ken followed and the moment he stepped in he was engulfed by utter darkness.
“Good thing we’ve got flashlights.”, Allan chuckled as he switched on his light and Ken halted immediately. He was one step away from falling off the edge.
He slowly shifted back as he caught up to Allan, this part of Barbieland felt too real. The rock formations and crumbling boulders, all this was beginning to show clear signs of wreckage.
“Has this place always been unstable?”, Ken questioned.
“According to our geotechnical books, this place is our foundation. With the deterioration though, it must have been the first to get hit.”, Allan explained.
It was simple, time was running out, the rocks chattered and grumbled around him, this whole area looked like it was going to cave in.
“It should hold up for us. Based on where we are, it looks like we should be close.”, he heard Allan speak but Ken could feel the hair on the back on his neck begin to rise.
Out of instinct, he pushed Allan away as loose stalactities came crumbling down where he had stood a second ago. Ken’s heart was in his throat but he heard Allan reassure him he was alright from the other side.
He let out a breath.
“That was a close call.”, Allan joked again but before Ken could react, the gap between them got filled with rocks that poured down from above.
Now they were separated.
One with the map and the other without.

Career Day | B.Bradshaw
Tumblr media
Summary: Your son Nick wants his dad Rooster to come in and talk about his job.
A/N: I know, I know classic name Nick but I just find it so cute that Rooster and his wife would definitely name their son Nick.
_____________________________________________________________
You were in the kitchen making dinner as your son Nick sat at the table colouring. "Mommy when's daddy going to be home?" "Pretty soon why?" you ask. "I have something I want to ask him" you nod "ok well he should be home any minute" and right on cue.
The jingle of keys and the door opening meant Rooster was home. Your son shoots up out of his chair and races for the door. "Daddy" "hey buddy" you heard Rooster "did you have a good day?" "yeah Mommy picked me up from school and then we went to the park and had ice cream" your son says "Oh did you now and without me?" "you weren't home silly" You smile hearing the excitement in your son's voice.
"Now where is your mom?" "in the kitchen making some smelly food" you hear Roosters oh so famous laugh making butterflies come to your stomach. You turn around as you hear them walk into the kitchen. "Hey Honey" you say and kiss him "ewwww" and you both turn seeing your son covering his eyes making you both chuckle. "Pretty soon you won't think it's gross you little stinker" you say pointing at him.
"No mommy girls are gross" he says. "ok well i'll remember that." you say giving Rooster a look. "daddy come look" your son says pulling him over to the table where he had been colouring all afternoon. "wow these are great" "Really?" "yeah a real artist" It was so cute seeing them interact Rooster was an amazing father. You listen to the two boys as you finished up dinner.
"Ok boys time to clean up" you say as dinner is ready. The two boys clean up all the papers, markers, and pens before watching them both go into the bathroom you smile. How did I get so lucky you think before putting everything on the table. Durning dinner Rooster helps your son put some on his plate before serving you and then himself. "Thank you" you say "of course ladies first as always" "oh such a gentleman" and you all dig in before your son let's out a gasp making you jump. "I forgot Monday is Career day. Daddy I want you to come in and talk to my class" Nick says running over to his backpack getting a paper out and handing it to Rooster.
"Career day sounds exciting." Rooster says and you take the flyer. "Nick how come I wasn't invited" "your jobs boring mommy" you roll your eyes. Boys. "my job is not boring" "Mommy it is" You look to Rooster asking him to back you up. "Just a smidge" he says you gasp "Bradley Bradshaw you take that back" you say throwing your napkin at him. "hey hey i'm just being a supportive father" You roll your eyes "oh yeah sure" you were then interrupted.
"So daddy can you come? Can you?" he says jumping up and down in his seat. "Hey calm down Buddy i'll be there" Rooster says making your son squeal. You smile seeing how excited one kid can get.
It was quite unfortunate your son didn't ask you but you were ok seeing as it was bonding time for Nick and Rooster. As Rooster only got a few years with his dad. You knew Rooster wanted to spend as much time with you and Nick as he could.
When your son came home that day after school he was so excited, it even led to him wanting to be just like his dad but every kid says that. For your case you hopped it was just a phase.

any more little scott hcs?
Yes yes hmmm… miscellaneous ones hehe…
• easiest way to tell how old he is feeling are his energy level and how much he’s stimming… in his Normal age range [about 4-8] he is a tiny ball of energy he can’t sit still at All and when he is feeling Especially teeny it is the opposite he barely moves just curls up in a little ball or clings onto someone and Freezes… when he’s a grown up he’s kind of in the middle 🤍
• ^ when he is little he stims in more ways than when he is grown up too… grown up Scott flaps his hands if he’s excited and I Think I will give him the excited stomping and the toe and finger wiggling… little Scott does all of this But sometimes he runs around in a little circle if he’s excited too… and perhaps rolls around on the floor… he Does have other stims too I think but these are the main Specific Consistent ones I can think of
• when Scotty draws or colours pictures he sticks his tongue out… the first time Kim sees him do it she laughs because she remembers him doing that when they really were kids
• ^ speaking of colouring pictures Scotty doesn’t really Believe in the lines hehe… or even the picture he is Supposed to be colouring in 🤍 he is the type of kid to draw big monster battle on top of the lines for like. Peaceful day in the forest :) or something… hehe
• ^ and if he Is just colouring not really adding his own pictures it is way more fun to scribble !!!! Boring to colour in the lines…
• this is something I think I talked about with Sunny [I don’t know if you would want to be tagged hehe… and if so with which blog……] but when Scott plays games like Pokémon he is the type of kid to get bored with the levelling up process and run directly to the next gym hehe… and then when all his Pokémon are so under levelled and he gets his butt kicked he whines and whines… when he is grown up he understands the issue and has more patience to do levelling up but Pokémon is more for when he Isn’t grown up…
• ^ he has to beg for help hehe… he goes Wallace… Wallace sniffle help……. And Wallace goes I don’t know what to tell you buddy you could try levelling up… and Scott just whines More hehe…
• ^ sometimes Scott makes Wallace go with him to visit Neil so he can ask him to help… Neil is the expert……
• ^ this doesn’t Always work out though so sometimes Wallace will try to play for Scott and Scott will stare over his shoulder and do backseat gaming I think hdjsjs and Wallace will get annoyed and say you’re welcome to play your own game if you know best little guy and then Scott will whine about That Too
• ^ if Wallace doesn’t Want to play Scott’s game he will give him a task like ohh could you find whichever Pokémon for me I want you to catch this specific one… and this tricks Scott into doing the levelling up heehe
• ^ oh yes and if Wallace Isn’t there and Scott is home alone he will just. Give up 🤍 he will get annoyed and just start doing something else and forget about the game Immediately…
• I think I have said before that little Scott is Clumsy but I think it was in reference to him always needing a sippy cup… spilling drinks is not the only way he is clumsy !! Another way is. He messes up a Lot if he tries to play his bass
• ^ like he doesn’t Actually know how to play it Ever but he can get by with playing by ear and muscle memory when he’s a grown up… if he regresses during band practice though he forgets what he has taught himself
• ^ sometimes he just starts playing with his bass too trying to make funny or really loud sounds… even if he is supposed to be rehearsing hehe
• ^ I think that MOST of the time Stephen n Kim just laugh it off if this happens and either encourage him to entertain himself or play With him to try and make funny sounds
• ^ maybe once or twice though when they had a show coming up and tensions were already high they got annoyed a little though… snapped at him maybe to at least try to take the band seriously
• ^ that didn’t Help though obviously it just made him feel even Younger and upset :( and he just started crying </3 so Then sex bobomb had to Really end practice because Now they had to comfort the baby… ooooopsie… it would work out though I know it 🤍 and everything would be okay
• when Scott is little he talks really fast and stumbles over words a lot… and I think he is the type of kid to forget to breathe between sentences so he will end up having to cut himself off mid-word to take a big breath hehe
• he can only focus on things if he’s being supervised… it’s weird and he doesn’t really get why he’s like that but if he’s home alone his attention span bounces all over the place but if Wallace is there he can stick to one task for Hours… especially if he gets Contact like sitting in Wallace’s lap while watching TV that sort of thing…
ummmmm all for now ☆

Emily goes to dinner with her mother and, as always, is left feeling off-kilter afterwards. It's a good thing she can go straight to see her Hotchner boys as soon as it's over.

Hi friends!
This fic is very much sponsored by my insomnia and the absolute devil of a cold I have picked up from somewhere. I feel like a reanimated corpse, but my brain came up with this so here we are!!
Please do let me know what you think, comments and reblogs have more healing powers than any store bought decongestant or lozenge.

“Daddy, I want some water.”
Aaron stops himself from smiling as he turns to face his son, his eyebrow raised as he looks at Jack. He was standing in the hallway in his pjyamas, a dazed and sleepy look in his eyes that he’d spent the better part of the last hour trying to deny. He knew exactly what his son wanted, what he was putting off sleep for, and the thought of it made him smile, the love his little boy had for his girlfriend warming him from the inside out.
It had been six months since their first date, since Emily had kissed him on her doorstep after he walked her back to her apartment. The date had been her idea, an edge of nervousness to her voice he’d never heard before when she asked him after dinner one evening. It had become normal for them to spend time together just the two of them and Jack, the friendship between them that would have once seemed unlikely something that was precious to them both. He found himself grateful that she was infinitely braver than he was, that she was the one who had willingly taken that first step towards what they had now.
He loved her and she loved him and even though they were only six months in he knew she was it for him, his future laid out ahead of him with a clarity it hadn’t had in a long time. Her presence in every step of it brought it to life in vivid colour, everything he once thought he’d never have again within his reach.
“I’ll get you some water, buddy,” he says, standing up and walking over to the kitchen to get one of Jack’s cups to fill with water, “But you need to go back to bed.”
Jack sighs as if he has the weight of the world on his shoulders, “When will Emily get home?”
Aaron once again finds himself suppressing a smile. She didn’t live with them, not officially, but she spent most of her time at their apartment. His wardrobe now had her suits lined up alongside his, the nightstand on her side of the bed had the book she was currently reading and her favourite hand cream, and the caddy in his shower had more products that belonged to her now than him.
“After you’re asleep, she’s having dinner with her mom remember?” he says, walking over and placing his hand on his son’s back, guiding him back towards his bedroom, “But she’ll be here in the morning when you wake up.”
He knew his girlfriend would be tense, to say the least, when she got back from dinner. Elizabeth was the one person who managed to successfully crawl under Emily’s skin every time without fail, aware of how to get to her daughter with a level of skill that was Olympic worthy. He’d offered to go with her, to be silent support at her side, but she’d simply shaken her head at him, smiling softly as she reminded him that would only make things more complex.
Elizabeth still didn’t know about them. Emily had tried, and failed, to tell her mother about her relationship more than once during the last six months. For one reason or another, she hadn’t been able to, always changing her mind at the last minute. He knew it had nothing to do with him, that it wasn’t because she was ashamed of him or their relationship, but because of how tenuous her relationship with her mother was. It had never been what she wanted, he knew that, but since her fake death, things had only become more strained. He felt responsible for it, his decision to save her life by ending it pulling at an already threadbare mother-daughter relationship, so he let her take the lead, happy to be waiting at home with open arms when she was done.
Jack pouts as he climbs back into bed and Aaron places the water on his nightstand, “But I miss her,” he complains, “She’s better at reading to me than you are,” he says as Aaron tucks him back in, “She does all the voices.”
Aaron is sure that on some level he should be offended by his son’s insistence that Emily was his preference in an increasing number of situations from story time to who looked after him when he was sick, but he couldn’t bring himself to be. Any time he watched them together he’d be overwhelmed by his hopes for the future. Images of a big house they could all grow into together and another child or two, as stubborn and as beautiful as their mother, sure to keep him on his toes for the rest of his life.
“Well she’ll be here all weekend,” he says, kissing his son’s forehead before he pulls back, “She can read to you tomorrow.”
Jack nods, any response giving way to a yawn as he snuggles further into his bed, “Night Daddy. Love you.”
“Love you too,” he replies, kissing his forehead again before he pulls back and stands up, leaving the bedroom as quietly as he can.
He does some chores to kill some time, excited for Emily to come home, to be back by his side where she belonged.
___
Emily sighs as she parks her car, her eyes closing as she switches off the engine. She leans forward and presses her forehead into the steering wheel, the leather of it cool against her skin.
It had been a long evening, the minutes feeling like hours as she sat in her mother’s company, wishing more than anything that she’d taken up Aaron’s offer to come with her, even if it would have initially been difficult to explain to Elizabeth why the man she only knew as her daughter’s boss was there. She sits back up and grabs her phone from her purse, shooting a text to her boyfriend before she gets out of the car and locks it, walking towards his apartment building with purpose.
Just parked up outside. I hope there’s wine.
She smiles softly as she enters his building and walks towards his apartment, the place that feels more like home than her own apartment. She knows it has a lot to do with the company more than anything else, Aaron and Jack very firmly the centre of her world, both of them providing a level of comfort and safety she thought would always pass her by. At this stage, she was just riding out her lease at her place. Using it more as storage for her things that she hadn’t brought over here yet, well aware that when her lease was up she’d be moving in officially with the Hotchners, whether that was here or in a place they bought together.
Sometimes she wondered if she should be worried they were moving so fast, that they were only six months in but they’d discussed finding a place together already, but she knew he was it for her. That they were. It was strange to think that not too long ago her future had been so unsure, all the dreams she thought she’d never seen realised lost and broken on a cold floor in Boston, but now it was clear, laid out in front of her in an orderly fashion that would have once terrified her.
Her smile widens when she spots him standing in his doorway, his hands in his pockets as she approaches. She speeds up, walking faster for the last few paces so she can stamp a kiss against his lips, her hand cupping his cheek as she deepened the kiss on his doorstep.
“Hi,” she says, kissing him again, feeling some of the weight that had gathered on her shoulders all evening start to ease the moment she’s near him.
“Hi,” he replies, his arm around her waist as he guides her into his apartment and closes the door behind them. She balances her hand on his shoulder as she takes off her shoes and he steadies her with his hands on her hips, “How was it?”
She sighs as she sinks into his embrace, her face buried in his shoulder as she breathes him in, letting the scent of his cologne, of him, ease the tension in her chest that just a few hours with her mother had caused. If Elizabeth was the one who knew how to tie her up in knots, looping her anxieties back around each other with a deftness that only the person who had planted the seeds there could, Aaron was the one who untied them. He’d taken time to learn how to, using his expertise of her to unpick every stitch with a level of care and love she would have once not realised he was capable of, his tenderness something that still took her by surprise on occasion.
“I told her about us,” she murmurs, her words muffled against his t-shirt. Aaron holds her closer and runs his hand up and down her back as he kisses the top of her head.
“I’m guessing based on your general demeanour and the faint smell of cigarette smoke on your jacket it went perfectly?” He quips, and she pinches the back of his neck, narrowing her eyes as she pulls back to look at him, well aware that she’s failing to suppress the smile that his dry sense of humour had pulled out of her. He cups her cheek and stamps a kiss against her lips, turning her in his arms as he removes her jacket for her, “Come on,” he says, his hand linking with hers as he tugs her gently towards the couch. She smiles at the two glasses of wine already laid out on the coffee table, and she finds herself wondering what she had done to deserve him, “We can either talk about it, or we can watch one of those shows you like with all those rich women yelling at each other.”
She chuckles half-heartedly as she settles onto the couch, “I want to talk about it,” she says, surprising herself with the admittance, “I just…I never know how to.”
He kisses the side of her head, “Just start wherever feels right, sweetheart.”
She nods as he passes her one of the glasses of wine and she takes a sip of it, her head resting against the back of the couch as she swallows, “Well, as soon as I arrived I realised what she was up to,” she says, tilting her head to look up at him, “Why she was so insistent that dinner had to be today.”
It was something that had been bothering her ever since her mother had called and invited her to dinner, her demeanour and tone over the phone enough to let Emily know she didn’t have a choice in the matter.
“Why?” He asks softly, placing his hand on her thigh and squeezing reassuringly, “What happened?”
She blows out a breath, “We weren’t dining alone,” she says tightly, sipping her wine again, “She’d invited her friends and their recently divorced son.”
Emily knows that he’s picked up on the implication, what her mother had intended for the evening when his grip on her thigh increases. A sense of possessiveness in his touch that makes her smile, his jealousy unfounded, totally out of place when she considers the fact if he moved his hand up just a little higher he’d be pressing on bruises he’d sucked into her skin just the night before.
“She did what?” He asks, trying and failing to keep his voice even, to hide the irritation licking at his insides. Emily simply smiles up at him and places her wine glass down, her hand coming to rest over his on her leg.
“Apparently, she thought it was about time that I settled down,” she replies, rolling her eyes as she speaks.
“What did you say?”
She smirks, “Oh, I’m already engaged to him,” she quips, her smile turning to a smirk as he half-heartedly glares at her, “I thought this was the best way to tell you.” She adds, and he rolls his eyes and leans in to kiss her, fast and hard in a way that steals the breath from her lungs. She chases his lips when he pulls away and she smiles as he raises an eyebrow at her, “I told her I was seeing someone.”
She often wondered what it would be like to have a relationship with her mother where she was one of the first people she wanted to tell about a change in her life. She didn’t know how it felt to want to call her mom when something good happened, or when she needed comfort. Elizabeth had never been her first port of call, her presence neither reassuring nor the safety net Emily had often hoped it would be. It was a lesson she’d learnt when she was young, when she’d stand in front of her mother’s desk after a nightmare, her hands clasped around her childhood teddy bear as she was told she was old enough to put herself back to bed, Elizabeth’s eyes barely looking up from her paperwork.
“She acted a little affronted, made a joke to her friends that I never tell her anything,” she says as she shakes her head, “And then followed me to the bathroom after we’d ordered our drinks and told me I was being rude,” she scoffs, “Like I’m 17 or something, not 41 and entirely capable of making my own life choices.”
He squeezes her thigh, his thumb running back and forth over her exposed skin, “What did she say when you told her that I’m the one you’re seeing?”
She clears her throat and rests her head on his shoulder again, “She said it’s inappropriate, and made some comment about how I never learn from my mistakes,” she blows out a breath and tightens her hold on his hand as she says the next part, well aware it would pull a reaction out of him, “She brought up Ian.”
He goes tense, a mix of guilt and disgust at the comparison swirling in his gut, making nausea climb up his throat as her words settle over him. “Em…”
“I made it very clear what I thought about that, honey,” she says, sitting up so she can see him properly, her legs swinging over his lap as she shifts closer, her smile soft when he wraps his arms around her, “You know it’s not the same, that you’re nothing like him, right?”
He sighs, his hands firm on her lower back as he hauls her impossibly closer. He had to admit that there were similarities between him and Ian that sometimes made his skin crawl, their joint assurance that their motivations were righteous, their need for revenge against the one person they saw as being at fault for tearing their lives apart. There were moments when he felt like they were two sides of the same coin, opposing forces that were pulling away from each other.
“I know,” he says, leaning into her palm as she rests it against his cheek, “I do know that,” he repeats, not sure which one of them he’s trying to reassure more, “I understand why your mother would be hesitant though,” he says, kissing her palm as he turns his head, “I am the one who called her and told her you’d died.”
He knows he’ll remember that call as long as he lives, the silence on the other end of the phone, the regret palpable. He could give Elizabeth some leeway when it came to that, well aware of how he would feel if he lost Jack, but his understanding only went so far. She’d been given a second chance, a miracle of sorts that others could only dream of, and she still hadn’t seemed to learn anything, still taking any chance she could take to belittle her daughter and the choices she made.
“I told her how happy you make me,” Emily says, pushing her hand through his hair, scratching at his scalp with her nails, “And I told her how much I love you,” she smiles softly at him as she cups the back of his neck, “I don’t think it went in, because she then spent the better part of the evening trying to talk up her friend's son, who by the way cheated on his ex-wife with a hooker,” she says, her eyebrows raised in derision, “But I said it.”
He sees through the humour she’s tried to inject into the conversation, sees right through to the girl who still wants her mother’s approval even after a lifetime of never quite getting it. He kisses her and then pulls her into a hug, her arms as tight around him as his were around her.
“I love you too,” he says, his lips against her cheek as he speaks. She nods and holds onto him tighter, her hand grasping at his shirt.
“I just wish she could be happy for me,” she says, pulling back just enough to look at him, her smile sad, “That doesn’t feel like it’s too much to ask.”
“It isn’t, sweetheart,” he assures her, kissing her softly, shifting to kiss the tip of her nose afterwards, smiling when she scrunches it up as he does so, “You deserve that and so much more.”
She hums, “I just hope if I ever get the chance to be a mom I can be happy for my kid, no matter what. That I’m the person they want to tell everything to, not someone they have to announce their relationship to in a busy restaurant with a potential suitor at the table.”
Her eyes go wide as she realises what she’s said, her words slipping past the vault she’d locked them in. She almost hates him for a moment, hates that he’s able to lull her into such a sense of safety, of security, that he’s broken open all the boxes she’d stuffed all her hopes and dreams into long ago. Easily opening all of them up with the key she’d willingly handed him. Any panic, no matter how brief, is put out when she sees his smile, wide and slightly goofy, something she can’t help but reciprocate.
She smiles at him, but any follow-up is cut off by a door opening and snuffling feet, and they both turn to see Jack standing behind the couch, his eyes wide and shining and his favourite toy, a stuffed cat that Emily had bought him, was hanging from his hand.
“Jack,” Aaron starts, his admonishment light, his son’s bleary eyes and bright red face a sign that he’d had a nightmare, “Is everything-”
“Emily!” He exclaims, running over and barely giving them enough time to separate from each other just enough for him to wedge himself between them, curled up in Emily’s lap with his back against his father’s chest, “I missed you.”
“I missed you too, sweetie,” she says, smiling softly at him before she looks up at Aaron. They exchange a look and she turns her attention back to Jack, running her fingers through his hair to try and flatten it, “You should be sleeping though.”
He rests his head against her chest and tightens his hold on her, confirming both Emily and Aaron’s suspicions on why he was awake, “I had a bad dream.”
She holds him closer and runs her hand up and down his back, “I’m sorry, sweet boy,” she says, kissing his forehead, “Do you want to go back to bed or stay here with me and Daddy for a little bit?”
He grips the material of her dress even tighter, “Stay here.”
Aaron smiles at the sight of them together, well aware that the embrace he was part of was just as much a comfort for Emily as it was for Jack, the two of them able to seek from each other what life had either never given them, or torn away too soon. He drops a kiss on each of their foreheads and slips out from under them.
“How about I make us some hot chocolate,” he says, watching as his son’s eyes brighten up immediately, “And then we’ll sit here for a little while until you’re ready to go back to sleep buddy.”
Jack nods and curls up even further into Emily’s embrace, settling into the warmth that seemed addictive to both Hotchners.
Emily smiles up at her boyfriend as she runs her hand up and down Jack’s back, “If you slip some whisky into mine I’ll make sure to say thank you later.”
He swallows thickly at the way she winks at him and he nods, walking towards the kitchen as he continues to listen to their soft conversation.
“You saw your Mommy tonight, Emily?” Jack asks, his small fingers idly playing with the necklace she is wearing.
“Yeah,” she replies, smiling softly at him as he rests his head on her shoulder to look up at her, “I saw her for dinner, it’s why I wasn’t here when you went to sleep.”
Jack nods as he looks at her intently, a seriousness to his gaze that was all Aaron and never failed to make her think of the same expression on a baby that was half her and half him, the thought alone enough to make her stomach flip.
“Is she scary?” He asks as he yawns, his body getting heavier in her arms.
She chuckles as she pushes some of his hair out of his eyes, “Why would you ask that sweetie?”
He shrugs, the movement lethargic, finding enough comfort in her arms that he was already halfway back to sleep, “You look sad, Emily,” he says, yawning again, “You never look sad, so she must be scary.”
She chokes on a laugh, the logic that only a child could come up with making her words lodge in her throat, “She’s a little scary,” she says, hoping it would satisfy his sleep curiosity, “But I’m okay now, I’m back home with you and Daddy.”
Jack hums, clearly more asleep now than anything else, and he rests his head on her shoulder, “Love you, Emmy.”
She presses her face into the top of his head, breathing in the scent of his shampoo, of the innocence that still flowed from him despite everything he’d already been through.
“Love you too, sweet boy,” she says, kissing the top of his head. She looks up as she sees Aaron approaching them again, only two hot chocolates in hand, clearly having realised his son would be asleep again before he was finished. He places them both down on the table and sits next to his son and girlfriend.
“I can take him back to his room if you want,” Aaron says, his hand resting over one of Emily’s on Jack’s back.
“In a minute,” she replies, looking at him before she looks back down at the little boy in her arms, her love for him as overwhelming as it was wonderful, “He’s fine right here.”
He hums in agreement before he settles his arm around her shoulders, pulling them both into his side, “I don’t think you have anything to worry about.”
She looks up from Jack, her eyebrows pinching together in confusion, “What do you mean?”
He smiles and kisses her, careful not to crush his son between them, “About what kind of mom you’re going to be,” he says, holding her face in place with his forefinger curled under her chin as she tries to look away, her cheeks pink with embarrassment, “From where I’m sitting, you’re already an amazing one.”
She presses her lips together to stop herself from smiling too widely, to give herself something to focus on so she can try and stop tears from pressing at the back of her eyes. She doesn’t know what to say, words failing her as she lets his settle over her, enveloping her like a warm blanket.
Instead, all she does is lean in to kiss him, hoping that the press of her lips against his, the feeling of Jack asleep and content between them, lets him know just how much he means to her. When their lips meet she can taste the hot chocolate he must have sneaked a sip of in the kitchen, the sweetness of it mixed in with the whiskey she’d asked for, and a chaser that tastes an awful lot like forever.

A Love To Last - Sam Winchester
Word count: 1013
Based on the song: Sunday Kind Of Love by Etta Jones.
The sun shone through a small crack in your gauzy curtains as birds sang and chirped you awake. You groaned and rolled over in bed, moving your hand up to brush off a lock of chocolate-coloured hair from Sam’s forehead. Your favourite part of Sunday mornings was getting up early to make breakfast for your two favourite boys, Sam and Dean, before heading out with Sam to run errands together for the rest of the day, while Dean stayed behind, either hunting or spending quality time with Baby, his car. You stretched, and slowly heaved Sam’s strong arm off your waist before you slipped out of bed and chucked your favourite pink robe on, along with your fluffy slippers.
On the way to the kitchen, you unplugged your phone from your nightstand and connected it to a small speaker, and smiled, remembering how Sam had installed it in the kitchen for you when you first moved into the bunker a year back. You couldn’t believe it had already been a year since you fell for each other while Sam was on a hunt, and that so far, he’d only died once during your relationship, when he went to the cage. You pushed the soul-crushing memories of your time apart away, and pressed play on your playlist with all the perfect songs for a Sunday morning. As you mixed the pancake batter and finished cooking the bacon just the way Dean liked it, Sam surprised you, sneaking up from behind to give you a hug.
“Mornin’ y/n,” he mumbled, making you smile at how he pressed his nose into your hair to kiss behind your ear. “I’ll go wake up Dean.” You nodded and returned your attention to the pancakes, setting them on three plates, on with a large stack, whipped cream and strawberries, as well as a mini-mountain of bacon (for Dean), two pancakes with maple syrup and butter (for Sam), and one pancake covered all over with strawberries, and drowned in maple syrup (for you). As you artfully placed a perfect dollop of whipped cream onto your plate, Dean rushed in, unable to hold back his excitement for his favourite Sunday morning pancakes. He grabbed at his plate, pulled it towards him as he sat down, and didn’t waste any time waiting for the rest of us to start.
“So good..” He groaned, stuffing his face with the food, and not caring that large chunks of bacon were halfway falling out of his mouth.
“Gross, you pig” Sam nudged his brother's shoulder playfully before digging into breakfast. You sat next to Sam as he reached over to your chair and pulled it closer to him, “Thanks for breakfast, y/n,” he kissed you, accidentally smearing maple syrup on your cheek. “Whoops, sorry.” Sam licked his thumb and smirked, rubbing the sticky syrup off your face before he asked,
“So, what’s on the agenda today?”
You smiled and kissed him back before you left your seat to take the list from the fridge door where you always kept it.
“Looks like we need a beer run, normal groceries, I need more magazines, and we also need some ingredients for cake for my dad’s birthday. I can’t believe it’s already August!” I read out the list, happy that Dad has managed to live this long, even when he’s still hunting at his old age.
“Bobby’s birthday soon? What’ll we get him?” Dean pondered as he looked forlornly at his empty plate that was practically licked clean.
I shrugged, “I reckon some kind of celebration should be enough, we should invite his hunting buddies, and just throw a party or something.”
Sam and Dean agreed, so it was decided. Sam got up and cleared the dishes, Dean took off to go detail his car or find a case for the day, and I ran to Sam and my room to change. I decided on some jeans, and a paloma wool brown and orange t-shirt that Sam got me for my birthday after watching me pine for it for months on end. I chucked on a warm, white puffer jacket and my boots before tying my hair up and grabbing my purse and Sam’s favourite reusable shopping bags. Sam yelled out to Dean that we’d be out for a couple hours, but we’d be back before 3.00pm.
“Are you sure you won’t be too cold?” Sam asked, holding the door for you as you walked out.
The light pink colouring your cheeks and nose sort of gave it away, but you were sure you’d be fine once you started walking around.
“I’m fine Sam, let’s go!” You moved to hold Sam’s hand as you walked to his car, thinking about how much you cherished these little walks, and your perfect Sunday mornings.
“What’s going on in that beautiful mind of yours today?” Sam looked down at you curiously with a smile.
“Just thinking about how much I love you...” You went up on your tippy toes to kiss Sam sweetly on his cold cheek as he bent down and lifted you in his strong arms.
“I love you too y/n,” he said, before you readied yourself. You knew it was time, and that you had to go. So you drove a knife deep into your stomach, while Sam suddenly turned from your perfect boyfriend, into a figment of your imagination, created by a Djinn.
“You could’ve stayed forever y/n…” he snarled as he faded away, and your entire world faded out.
—----------------------------------------------------------------------------
“Y/n!! She’s back, Sam!” Dean made quick work of untying your arms from above you, and Sam supported you when you fell, weak from starvation and all the torture the Djinn had put you through. You weakly brushed a lock of hair from his forehead again, but this time, Sam flinched away from your touch, as you realised that in this world, nothing between you and Sam was romantic. Breathing became difficult as a pathetic feeling of sadness washed over you, and before your eyes rolled into the back of your head, the only thing you could whisper was his name, only now, it held a different meaning.

Bad feeling - Jay Halstead
Tumblr media
Listen to 'Till it happens to you' by Lady Gaga while reading this.
You were waiting outside your apartment with Kelly, Natalie, Will and Matt. You were all waiting for jay. He was your boyfriend, and it wasn’t something for him to show up late when you had planned something with your friends.
“Are you sure he was on his way?” Natalie asked.
“Yes. He texted me.”
“He’ll probably be here any minute,” Will said.
You looked down the street. It was a one-way street, so he could only come in from one way. If anything happened underway, Jay would call or text. Now there was nothing. All sorts of scenarios ran through your head. You tried to stay calm, but you had a feeling that it wouldn’t go away until he was right in front of you.
You decided to call Adam. Maybe he got pulled into a case and forgot to call you.
“Y/N, to what do I owe the pleasure?” Adam asked when he picked up the phone.
“Did you get pulled into a case?”
“No. Why?”
“It’s nothing. Jay should’ve been here, and he’s not. It’s probably nothing.”
“Alright. Call me if he doesn’t turn up.”
“Will do. Thanks, Adam.” You sighed as you hung up.
“No case?” Will asked.
You shook your head.
“Maybe he’s at the district?” Kelly suggested.
You quickly called Trudy. “No. I haven’t seen detective chuckles. Everything okay?”
“Yep. We’re fine. Thanks, Trudy.”
You hung up the phone. You had a very bad feeling about this.
“Why don’t we split up? Y/N, we can follow his footsteps to the store. You three can just look around the city, I don’t know?” Kelly suggested.
“Let’s do it,” you said. “Call me if you find him,” you said to Natalie, Will and Matt.
You got in the car with Kelly and drove to the store. Nothing looked out of the ordinary.
Just when you were driving out of the parking lot, you spotted Jay’s car on the other side.
“There he is!” you yelled. You opened the door and sprinted away. When you got closer, you noticed that the car had crashed against a tree. You stopped a few feet away from him. You could see someone sitting in the car. There was no movement.
“Call Will,” Kelly yelled. “I’m on the phone with 911.”
You grabbed your phone out of your pocket and called Will.
“We found him,” you mumbled as he picked up.
“So you’re on your way?”
Tears welled up in your eyes. “No. It’s bad, Will. He… he crashed.”
Kelly rushed over to Jay. “Y/N, I need your help!”
“I have to go. I’ll send you the location.” You hung the phone and walked over to Kelly. He was sitting behind Jay, holding his head steady. “There is a wound on his right thigh. You need to put pressure on it,” Kelly instructed.
You put your hands on the wound. “I’m right here, Jay,” you mumbled.
A groan escaped his lips.
“Hold still, buddy. You were in an accident. An ambulance is on the way,” Kelly said.
“You’re going to be okay,” you said. “We got you.”
“Y/N, I loved you,” he whispered.
You looked at him. Tears were now streaming down your face.
“Don’t you dare to say it. Don’t you dare to say goodbye to me, Halstead. I love you too, but don’t you dare leave me.”
He weakly smiled at you.
You scanned his body for any more injuries. Most of the blood was coming from his thigh. There was a cut on his forehead, but it didn’t look that bad. As far as you could see, there were no other injuries.
“Jay, can you tell us what happened?” Kelly asked.
“It came out of nowhere, the car. Had to serve, and I hit the tree.”
“You’re going to be okay,” you said.
“I love you so much. “You’ve made my life better,” Jay said and slightly smiled.
You let one hand go and felt Jay’s pulse. His heartbeat felt irregular. Your moved your hands just below Kelly’s fingers and felt the same thing.
“Jay, talk to me. You have to stay awake,” you said as he got really quiet. His eyes slowly met yours. It didn’t feel like you were looking into your boyfriend’s eyes. This guy’s eyes lost his sparkle, the bright colour of it.
“I’m going to be fine,” Jay mumbled. “I remember… the first day I saw you.” He gasped for air.
“Okay, don’t talk. Just answer my questions, okay?”
“Okay.”
You slightly smiled through your tears at the first question that came up in your head.
“What was the first thing you thought when you kissed me for the first time?”
“I want to marry this girl.” More tears streamed down your face.
“What about our first date? What did you think of that?”
“I should... ask you.”
You were interrupted by Will, Natalie and Matt. “What’s the ETA on the ambulance?” Natalie asked, going into doctor mode right away.
“5 minutes. There is fucking construction everywhere,” Kelly said.
“Y/N, let me see that,” Will said, and you pulled your hands away.
“I love you…so much… you have… no idea,” Jay weakly said.
“I love you too. But you are going to be fine. Will and Natalie are here. You’re going to be fine. They got you.”
“Kiss me…”
You looked at Will.
“You’re not going to die,” you said as you looked back at Jay.
“Please, babe… kiss me.”
“Y/N, you have to step aside,” Natalie said, placing a hand on your shoulder.
Before you walked away, you gently placed a kiss on his cheek. When you pulled away, his eyes were closed.
“Jay?” He didn’t respond. “Jay?” you said again, now crying.
“Matt, get her out of here,” Natalie ordered.
Two strong arms dragged you away from the car. You struggled against them. “No! Let me go. Let me with him! Let me be with my boyfriend,” you yelled as hot tears streamed down your face. “Let me be with him,” This time, it sounded more like a whisper. First responders came from everyone. The firefighters got him out of the car in no time. They got him onto a stretcher and loaded him in the ambulance. You saw the mouth of one of the paramedics move, but it didn’t reach you. It was completely silent around you. The only thing you heard was buzzing in your ear. Will was getting in the ambulance while performing CPR on Jay. You were lifted up from the ground and put in a car.
You didn’t know how you got to the hospital. You sat in the waiting room with your friends and his brother. Natalie had cleaned your hands. Will sat on one side of you and held your hand. Kelly was sitting on the other side and was doing the same thing. You couldn’t move. You barely knew what was going on around you. You didn’t feel the hands of your friends on you. You were completely numb. Tears were still streaming down your face, but you couldn’t be bothered to wipe them away. What was the point in doing that? What even was the point in doing anything. Jay was dead. Your boyfriend died in your arms. You had a feeling. This morning when you came out of bed, it was already there. It was far away, but there was this feeling in your stomach that you couldn’t place. Jay left for work, and the whole day that feeling stayed with you.
“This morning I… I had a feeling,” you started. “The whole day I… I had a feeling that something… that something was wrong,” you cried.
Will pulled you closer. “It’s not your fault, Y/N.”
“I should’ve said something to him. I…”
“It’s not your fault, Y’/N. There was nothing you could’ve done to prevent this,’ you looked up as Sargent Voight stood in front of you.
“It was the case we are working on. We had a suspect, but not enough to bring him in. He was the one that came out of nowhere and let Jay swerve. We got him, and he is going away for a long time,” Voight said.
“I should’ve told him to stay home,” you mumbled.
“He wouldn’t have listened. That guy is too stubborn. We all know it,” Will mumbled.
“I could’ve….” You couldn’t talk anymore. Sobs were leaving your mouth, and you were crying into Will’s chest.
“Y/N, Will…” You looked up as you heard Connor.
“How is he doing?” you asked.
“In the ICU, but he’s okay. He’s conscious and asked for you, Y/N.”
“What were his injuries?” Will asked, but you didn’t listen. Jay was going to be okay.
You followed Connor to the room Jay was in.
There are a lot of wires on him, so don’t freak out when you see it. He also had a big bandage on his head.” You only nodded your head. He opened the door for you. You slowly walked in. You slowly made your way over to Jay. The only thing you heard was his heartbeat, and you have never been happier to be hearing that. You sat down on the edge of his bed, and you grabbed his hand.
“I told you that you were going to be okay,” you whispered and wiped away a few tears from your face. His eye slowly opened.
“Y/N,” he mumbled and lightly squeezed your hand.
“You’re okay. I love you so much.”
“Love you,” he mumbled before his eyes shut again. You just sat next to his bed while you listened to his heartbeat. He was going to be just fine.

ghosts cant hug
ghost!jon, eudardjon, eddsworld, 1.5k words, eduardo, jon
CW:
death (not on-screen), memory loss, guilt, crying
-
Ever since he died, the world around him was muffled. As if he was underwater.
He had to strain to listen, and everytime he did that he just felt bad.
So instead of trying to listen, he just watched.
And he drowned.
Until he felt like he was being tugged. Tugged away from watching the stars through the window.
It was a strange feeling, like a fishing hook pierced his stomach, but he didn't feel any pain. He never did anymore. Nothing could even touch him. He just floated in the drowning void that was his death.
He started to move, slowly at first, before it, whatever it was, got stronger, and started to pull him faster.
He started to panic, and impulsively tried to grab the doorframe. His hand phased through it. Like it did with everything.
He was pulled down, through the floor, into the living room.
Gods, did he hate the feeling of going through things. It made him feel so… dead. Yes, he was a ghost, but it was sometimes nice to pretend he wasn't.
He looked around the living room (man, wasn't that a bitter name). His eyes landed onto a figure sitting in front of some kind of board.
Stepping closer, he saw the figure was wearing a loose green button up (was it green? Jon assumed it was, but he had a hard time seeing that much colour anymore). The figure was also crying.
Jon looked at the board, perching over the man's shoulder, seeing it was a- oh.
It was a ouija board. The man was trying to talk to him? why? Whoever it was was going to be disappointed when he learned that Jon couldn't even move the planchette, let alone move it enough to spell something.
The man sniffed, and Jon moved away from his shoulder, looking at his face.
Tears ran down it as he looked up and closed his eyes. Jon looked up as well, but couldnt see anything.
“Please. God. Please work. I need you.'' The man begged, and Jon found it so sad he decided to at least try, even though he didn't even know this man.
He found it surprisingly easy to move the planchette.
H. The first letter would be a H. What did that one look like again? It had three lines. 2 long, 1 short. Kinda boxy.
It wasn't that first one. It was too pointy. Then the next ones were too round. That one had too many lines, that one had three lines, but it was one long one and two short ones. The next one was too round, then-
Aha!
He had found it.
The planchette shuddered over towards that letter, and jon sat- floated?- back, smiling to himself. He had affected something.
The man looked towards the board in surprise, and smiled tearily.
“Thanks, jon.” the man said. Jon tilted his head in confusion. How did this man know him? Were they friends?
Jon shrugged his confusion, before going to move the planchette again.
The man rushed to grab the pen Jon hadn't noticed at his side, and scribbled a hasty small H on the paper Jon had also not noticed.
I. That one was straightforward. Just one line. and it was next to the H too, how thoughtful! Jon smiled again as he saw the man laugh and wipe his nose on his sleeve before scribbling an I down next to the H.
H-I.
“Hey, buddy.” The man smiled weakly.
Oh. they must have been good friends, Jon realised. He felt bad for forgetting him, but then again, he forgot almost everything.
He did die, after all.
S-O-R-R-Y
The man's eyes snapped up to where Jon assumed the man thought he was (he drifted there, just to avoid the embarrassment for both of them.) the second he wrote down the last letter.
“No! Fuck no. o-of course its not your fault. God.” the man swore, tears pooling in his eyes again. Jon wanted to hug him.
I– C-A-N-T–R-E-M-E-M-E-M-B-
Jon wanted to cry. He stopped mid sentence. He fell to his knees, putting his hands over his eyes. He couldn't do this. He couldn't say that to this poor guy. Whoever he was, he was obviously upset. He couldn't just tell him " hey, i don't remember you!”.
What kind of friend would he be?
Soft sniffles filled the room, invisible tears hitting the carpeted floor, almost leaving a wet spot if you squinted.
The man's eyes practically glowed as he heard it. He backed against the wall, dragging the board with him. Jon sniffed and wiped his eyes as he was slowly dragged along.
“You can't remember, huh?” the man smiled sadly, opening his arms, as if to give the small ghost a hug. God, Jon wanted- no, needed to hug him right now.
Sadly, ghosts can't hug.
Jon sat down next to the man, wanting to lean on him for comfort, but not wanting to feel the overwhelming burning that came from contact with living people.
The upset human looked in the space where Jon was, but knew that the human couldn’t see him.
“If I find out you're on the other side of me, I'm going to kill you.” he smiled. Soft giggles filled the room, and the man relaxed.
The man pulled a phone out of his pocket, opening an app with a circle, and three curved black lines. The background was green (that was green, right?), and the man clicked on another few links before soft music filled the quiet room. It felt familiar somehow.
“This was your favourite. I never really understood why you liked it so much, but it always made you happy.” The man explained.
“Oh, my name’s Eduardo by the way.” the ma- Eduardo smiled. Jon liked that name. It was nice.
“When we met you could never pronounce it, kept calling me edd-you-ardo.” Eduardo chuckled, clicking on another app, his phone showing lots of small squares, a different, tiny scene showing in each of them.
“It used to bother me a lot, but you grew out of it, so it was okay. You did go through a phase of calling me ‘eddie’ in highschool though." Eduardo reflected, scrolling down the very bottom and clicking on the first photo.
“This was when you went to that ‘young british violinist contest’ thing. I pretended to hate it, but… i dunno, when you started playing, you just looked so… happy. And calm. Like everything bad had gone away. I couldn't keep a smile off of my face when I saw you play. I don't think you really noticed though.” he explained, tilting the phone towards jon.
It was him, in a blue (?) button up. He had a fancy-looking blazer on top, and he held a violin in his arms. He had a soft smile on his face as he played it, the moment captured in time.
Eduardo scrolled to the next one, showing Jon a pleasant scene of his own- alive- face, black eyes lit up with dozens of tiny stars. He looked so happy, smiling up at them.
“I said you were stupid, for liking the stars so much. I actually love them. They remind me of you, now." Eduardo explained, looking at the photo intently, smiling at his memories.
Jon wished he could share them, but when he tried, his head felt light.
“This one is of my first proper art show. I only won second, but you were so happy for me. Gushing about how amazing I was, and how good my art was, and shit. I hated it. I waved it off, and scoffed, and rolled my eyes. I- i didn’t think i was worth it. You did. You always did.” He trailed off sadly, looking down.
Jon tried to swipe to the next photo, but only succeeded in glitching the screen out and putting his finger through the phone.
Seeing this, the ghost's friend laughed, and swiped to the next image. He shivered when he felt a chill on his shoulder, but grinned when he saw the photo was of an appalled looking jon covered head to toe in water.
Hours passed, and dozens of dozens of photos later, Jon had gotten used to the now-soft burning on the side of his face. He had rested his head on the human shoulder ages ago, and he was now used to the warmth spreading through his body. If you could call it that. It was strange. It felt like warmth. His attention went back to the person next to him, his head slumped low. He was asleep.
He had barely stopped yawning since it hit 4:29 on the top of his screen. Jon smiled and let his friend sleep.
He now knew a lot more about his old life, and the human that he used to love, apparently.
A small smile passed over his face as he lifted his cheek off of Eduardo, kissing the top of his head softly.
If Eduardo’s purple-wearing, blonde roomate found the green-clad man resting against the wall, an abandoned ouija board next to him, and a phone on 3% displaying a photo of Jon loosely gripped in his hand, then that would stay between them.
Ghosts can't hug, but they can fall back in love, apparently.

fic under the cut!
and to think nacho thought the man was confident without any drugs in his system.
nacho stayed in a corner, next to a house plant, with his arms crossed over his chest, watching the party go on as the clock ticked further and further into the night. all of the music had blended together a while ago, and nacho wasn't even really listening anymore. it was all just a loud drone with a heavy bassline. he was tired, and he could feel it in his chest and in his eyes. he could feel his eyelids getting heavy, the warmth of the room getting to him. he felt a little bit like a kid at a christmas party that remained tucked away in the recesses of his memory all hazy and colourful with splotches of light, waiting for his dad to finish saying his never-ending goodbyes to their family and friends before meeting nacho at the door, arms laden with leftovers from dinner.
dear god, if only.
the only thing that kept him grounded and awake was the inescapable, unmissable smell of alcohol, cigar smoke and men's cologne that smelled bad no matter how much it happened to cost. nacho thought that if this was how all cartel parties went, then he was packed and ready to start hunting for an alternative career, fully prepared to go running and crying back to his dad's automotive shop begging for another job.
of course, he hadn't arrived alone. most of the night he'd been staring at lalo, making sure he didn't do anything stupid. making sure that the trust he'd bent over backwards to gain didn't vanish in the blink of an eye. or maybe nacho was just giving himself something to do so he wouldn't get bored. lalo was so much more unreserved than him, like he had a secret talent for socializing with anybody and everybody. he kissed the girls on their cheeks, and he clapped the men on their backs, laughing and sharing a drink with every person he came across. nacho debated stepping in and saying something when a baggie of cocaine started being passed around, but he remembered how nonchalantly lalo had snorted some a few weeks back and decided to not do anything.
nacho watched as lalo made eye contact with him from across the room, and a devilishly maniacal smile curled onto his face. nacho was the one who broke first and looked away, but it didn't stop lalo from striding over, and grabbing the younger man, forcefully moving him around, like he was trying to make nacho dance.
and to think nacho thought lalo was confident without any drugs in his system.
"hey man, ow, what are you doing?" nacho asked stepping away from lalo, only to be roped into a bone crushing embrace where the only thing he could see was darkness. he heard a loud laugh reverberate through lalo's chest and when lalo finally let him go, he was still chuckling.
"you're so funny, ignacio, i've been telling everyone here you're the funniest person i ever met." lalo said, sniffing and rubbing his nose, body subconsciously moving to the beat of the music. his pupils were black and round like plates, and though lalo didn't even notice, his hands were shaking.
"i've been telling everyone like, 'go talk to ignacio, he just got in the game big time, he's a funny guy, you'll like him'. people been coming up to you? talking to you? i haven't seen anyone over here. assholes. maybe it's because of the light. it's definitely the light, nachito, trust me. man, why are you all the way over here? making buddies with the house plant? come on, hey, you gotta go check out the dance floor. the lights are wicked cool, especially with- oh right, man, i almost forgot, here, do you want a bump?" lalo said, speaking faster than a paranoid kid hopped up on pure sugar. he pulled a baggie out of his pocket. nacho frowned, not remembering seeing lalo with his own bag of blow. the taller man waved it under nacho's nose and he scrunched up his face, retaliating at the harsh chemical smell.
"no thanks." he said, looking up at lalo, almost apprehensive. it only made lalo laugh again, rubbing his nose and shifting his weight for the fifth time in thirty seconds.
"you're such a sourpuss, nachito. it's not even just coke. i got this as a- a- what do you call it, regalo, a treat, a buddy here was selling and i thought why not yknow? you ever had crank and blow together? shit- it's intense. you want some?"
"nah, i'm good. thanks, lalo." nacho said again, not sure if lalo was even listening, or heard him.
"shit, it's been a while since i've done this. it's like, way more intense than just coke. your loss man, i'm telling you." lalo said, shaking his head at nacho, scooping some up with his pinky nail. nacho didn't ignore the similarities between lalo and tuco. they both tightly squeezed their eyes shut and shook their heads after. nacho noticed how they both shared the same intense look, and he wondered if it was genetic, or just an addict's trait.
lalo let out a noise that sounded cathartic more than anything.
"goddamn that never gets old. hey ignacio, wanna go dance? dance with me, nachito, dance with me until the sun comes up and then i'll make us whatever you want for dinner- i meant breakfast- i meant- i'll make you food. whatever you want. dance with me, cabron. dance with me before the Don shoots you in the head like he did to Fring's stupid little fucking queer." lalo laughed like it was the funniest thing he'd ever said or heard in the world.
nacho felt something akin to fear bubble in his chest and he frowned at lalo preparing another bump. he swallowed, ready for any sort of backlash he was about to receive.
"hey, man, how- uh- how about you slow down on the speed, okay?" he asked, gently. lalo smirked and shook his head, snorting another dose like it was nothing.
"no, no, no, ignacio, i'm good, i'm good. promise. i shouldn't have said that thing about fring or whatever, i'm cool, i'm cool. shit dude, you gotta try this."
"lalo, i'm uh- we still have to head back, yknow? it's almost 3:30."
"yeah, i know. i told you i'd make you lunch didn't i?" lalo looked at him, his eyes black and dark. he sniffed again, twice and rubbed his nose. "hang on, this is bothering the shit out of me. im gonna go get some paper towel, i'll be right back. don't move, ok? i wanna dance with you."
lalo clapped nacho on the shoulder and stumbled off to find the bathroom.
there was a pit in nacho's stomach, and something gnawed from inside his chest. nacho heard lalo tripping into another wall and followed him to make sure he didn't split his head open on a door knob or something.
around the corner, it was already immediately about ten times quieter than where the heat of the party was happening. eladio's walls muffled the sound of the speakers and noise, and lalo turned when he heard footsteps behind him.
"nachito, i told you, i was cool- just gimme a second-" he said, looking at nacho a few feet away from lalo standing in the doorway of the bathroom. "i'll just- fuck-"
suddenly everything began to feel foggy, and lalo felt something trickle down his nose. he sniffed and rubbed it again, annoyed, frowning when the back of his hand came back smeared with bright red. his fingers touched his upper lip and he found them wet with blood.
"hey- just gimme a sec-" he told nacho, holding out his hand to reassure him. he only realized how much the door frame had been keeping him steady until he let go, and he stumbled, heading head first to the floor.
"woah, hey, easy." nacho said, suddenly supporting him, guiding him over to the edge of the tub, sitting him down.
for a brief second lalo had the odd pensive thought that it was fascinating how quickly things stopped being fun. it was almost immediately overshadowed by how badly his head had suddenly started to hurt, and how shitty lalo felt. his heart pounded in his ears and he felt his chest rise and fall way too quickly. for the first time in hours he noticed how badly his hands were shaking, and the blood staining his fingertips made him flinch, as if he thought someone had hit him. his mind started racing, eyes darting over the place. the door was closed. when had they closed the door? was it nacho? nacho? hector? huh? the light- the light was bright, the bright- the bedroom lamp- the bathroom light- a gun- a gun! a gun, there was a gun to his head- no! a gun in his pocket, in the back of his pants, there was a gun in the back of his pants, his pants? he was bleeding. there was blood on his pants? no, on his hand. his hand. his hand, there was blood on his hand. his blood? his blood.
"nacho turn the light off?" lalo asked. his voice was deeper than he remembered. remembered? fuck he was remembering things? god please no, please not now. maybe more, maybe more? maybe another bump would make this stop. another bump would make it all stop. that would be nice, if it all just...stopped. there was a gun in the back of his pants, after all.
when lalo reached to grab it, he found nothing there.
maybe that had been another time. another time, god, he, no, no more remembering. his mouth- he tasted iron. he tasted iron like- metal- like- the gun? no. no that wasn't that time. that was that time, this was this time and it wasn't- it was blood. blood, lalo tasted blood. who's blood? his? but- which time was this? was it before or after? the sink was running. definitely after. it was bright, so bright and there was blood in lalo's mouth and, and, and,
"nacho turn the light off!" lalo shouted, rubbing his face, eyes screwed shut. grab the bag in his pocket. another- maybe more- maybe another bump would make it stop.
"the light is off." nacho said, frowning, wetting a towel in the sink. when he turned and saw lalo sitting on the ground, hyperventilating, going out of his mind, nose running with blood, he rushed over and pressed the towel to lalo's face, supporting his head with his free hand. "hey, can you hear me?" he asked, praying that lalo wasn't about to die right in front of him.
"can you hear me? lalo!" nacho snapped his fingers in front of lalo's face. "hey, open your eyes. come on man,"
lalo had his arms crossed across his chest, gripping his shoulders, gasping for air, air- air- please- he needed air- he couldnt breathe- he- oh god this was awful this was so so awful, just, another, maybe, his mouth tasted like wet and iron and, who's? was it? he couldn't remember. he was tired. god he was so so tired. his body was so tired. he was so tired- sleep- he wanted to sleep- please just- let him sleep- body- the iron in his mouth- when- he hadnt slept in- sleeping- he was tired and scared- of sleeping? he couldn't remember. he was scared of- was he scared? why would he be scared? he was going to sleep? he was going to sleep. when he woke up this would all be over. it would all be. it would all be over.
"lalo? lalo! jesus fucking- lalo!" nacho shouted, pulling the cloth away. lalo's head fell into nacho's shoulder, and nacho had to shift to hold him properly so he didn't slump against the side of the bathtub like some rotting corpse left as a cheap halloween scare.
"shit. shit, shit, shit, shit." nacho said, holding lalo in his arms. now his hands were shaking. fuck. ok. his nose had stopped bleeding. good. nacho pressed two fingers to lalo's neck. he still had a pulse. good. the younger man leaned down and listening to lalo's chest. he was still breathing.
good.
maybe he had just passed out.
hopefully.
nacho varga sat with lalo salamanca in his arms and bit his lip trying not to cry.
it was nearly 5 in the morning when lalo woke up. there was a shirt draped over him and a towel folded up under his head acting as a pillow.
nacho sat leaning against the vanity, elbow leaning against his knee, his hand supporting his head. he'd nodded off about twenty minutes ago.
the party had died down only at the ass crack of morning and it was finally, finally, completely silent.
lalo groaned and rubbed his face, sitting up. nacho was awake in an instant.
they were alone in the bathroom and dawn shone soft beginnings of light through the window. only enough to see each other.
"water." lalo said, voice hoarse and sore. nacho was quick to grab the glass by the sink and give lalo what he wanted.
"you worried me. last night." nacho said. lalo made a noise and shook his head.
"it's fine."
"i don't-"
"ignacio," lalo said, standing, setting the towel back on the shelf and giving nacho his button down back. he smiled at nacho and it was no longer maniacal. no longer reinforced by hard drugs. just...mischievous, like a cat planning to eat the family pet fish. normal.
"i said it's fine. let's head home, yeah?"
"yeah." nacho said, sighing.
lalo splashed some water on his face, smoothed out his moustache, dried his face and left the bathroom like nothing had ever happened.
he would deal with the problems another time.
perhaps while he was high.

-----------;3-----------
She isn't answering her phone. He couldn't find her anywhere either in the class yesterday. At first he thought maybe she was on a leave but not showing up for two classes straight which are not even consecutive? It's so not her and that's what had him doubting himself and worrying about her. Did he cross a line when he thought she would have wanted to tutor him or did she not like him? Harry wasn't the one to overthink about something that happened or beat himself up but she had him questioning his behavior. It's been long since he have felt like this and it scared him. A girl who he first saw made quite an impression on him. He still remembers how she looked frustrated but cute because she was really short compared to him and her anger was anything but intimidating. It made him feel silly things in the inside when he managed to get her flustered unintentionally. She was soft according to him and the thought of anything bad happening to the innocent girl made him uneasy.
His heart won't settle for anything less than having a talk with her and being sure that she was okay. So that's why he found himself in the cafeteria searching for the girl Y/n usually eats lunch with. As he walks around looking for the familiar face he notices that the place is not at all crowded today. Before he can feel upset about how he might not find her, the tall girl with black hair catches his eyes and a relief washes over him. She is sitting alone with her headphones plugged in as Harry approaches her. "Excuse me" he let's out a little louder coming in front of her and waving his hand so that she can see him if not hear him. "Uh hey, can I help ya with something?" she responds without removing the headphones. "Yeah hey M' Harry Y/n's friend. I haven't seen her since Tuesday and she hasn't answered her phone either. Do you happen to know where she is?" "No, no I don't have her number or anything because we are just lunch buddies but I remember her telling me about where she lives." "Great so can you tell me?" He asks her impatiently as he finally got some lead. "And why would I do that? What if you are some sort of creep" she squints her eyes at him because Y/n never mentioned knowing a Harry guy. "Oh cmonnnn" he grumbles as he tries to think of a way in which he can convince her. "I can show you our chat because she said we can meet up for tutoring." "Oh wait yeah! I remember she told me she was going to tutor a guy. She lives on the pine Street, house number 190 I think, yeah" the girl says as she furrows her eyebrows while she tries to jog up her memory. "Great! Thank you so much" he flashes her a grin as he starts to walk away. He steps out of the university, repeating the address in his mind and he notices that she lives just 5 mins away from the store they bumped into once and approximately 15 mins away from his place. A thought of buying something for her to eat crosses his mind as he almost passes a bakery but his feet make an abrupt stop themselves. He stares at the bakery blankly for half a minute before he shakes his mind to get rid of the useless thoughts and start to make his way inside the small building smelling like fresh bread. As he scans his eyes through the glass containing every sort of sweet dish he can hear the quite murmuring and it's soothing he realizes. He finally settles on 2 chocolate muffins and a bagel because he really wants to see her. In no time he has the bag with his order in it as he carries himself out of the bakery and to her house.
It's the only gate that is different from the other dark oak gates. The house number is written on a house plate instead of the door and the colour of the door is blue. A dark shade of blue but still with a shiny appearance. As he brings up his hand in a fist, he hesitates a bit before knocking thrice on the door. He looks around impatiently while he taps his foot on the creaking white stairs. Just as he's about to knock again he hears the unlocking and his eyes try to sneak a peak from the crack as the door gets opened painfully slow. His eyes widen when he catches the sight of an extremely sweaty face and bloodshot eyes of none other than the short girl in front of him. Her reaction is nothing different because she is surprised too to find a guy she has known for a pretty short time standing at her doorstep looking very amused oh and with a brown paper bag in his hand. Before she can start speaking he beats her by rambling his concern. "What in the world happened Y/N? Are you okay? Cause you don't look okay you know but like you might have just woken up but the weather is not hot at all for you to look like you had a full workout sess- "Calm down Harry calm down oh my god. My head is pounding, slow down a bit. And first of all come inside, throwing questions at me on my doorstep isn't the smartest thing right now. I feel like I'll fall any second."
He acts quickly at that, entering the house as he supports her by taking her arm and putting it around his shoulder. He helps her walk towards the small brown couch in the right corner. He hears her wince as she tries to lay down and he feels pity. While she settles, he notices his surrounding in a quick glance before looking at the coffee table in front of him. A half filled water bottle catches his attention and he quickly reacts to fetch it and open the cap for Y/N. She gently takes the bottle from his hand and gulps the water in like three seconds. "Slow down love, we don't want you to choke on it now do we?" His eyes widen when he realizes that he worded it a bit wrong and he searches her face for the same reaction but sees that the poor girl in front of him is far too tired to even comprehend what he said. He let's out a sigh of relief as he sits down on the chair behind him. "Care to explain what's up with your poor condition?" He interrogates when she is finally at ease. "Oh uhm I have been feeling a bit feverish since the last 3-4 days, I have lost the count honestly." Her voice comes out raspy as if her throat was sore. "What? Why didn't you tell anyone Y/N? And why were you not picking up your phone. I spammed like 5 calls and 20 messages. You worried me." "I'm so sorry, I barely had energy to stand up from my bed to charge my phone or make myself something to eat. My neighbours don't really like me and my parents don't live here. Whom I would have called?" She replies him slowly. "Dear lord. So you are telling me, you have had fever for like 4 days and you didn't have anyone help you? Are you crazy? You could have called me Y/N. What if something would have happened? Thank god I decided to ask around for your address." Harry lectures her as she pouts looking at her fumbling hands. She knows he's right but she really was lonely. "You know what, I'm pretty sure you are too tired to even get my words inside that pretty little head of yours so here, I brought you muffins and a bagel. You need to eat this so that I can give you medicine afterwards. We can talk about it later, do you mind telling me where you keep the pills and stuff?" He talks loudly as he stands up and starts moving around in the house. "They are in the third cabinet under the sink." She quietly murmurs, distracted by the fresh smell of chocolate and butter in the bag. She wastes no time in grabbing a big bite. As Harry approaches her with a glass of water and pills in his hand, he can't help but smile faintly at the sight. He clears his throat which gets him a glance from her finally. She let's out a small "thank you" which comes out muffled because her mouth is stuffed with the delicious bagel. This causes him to chuckle a bit as he settles the glass on the table. "For now I'll let you eat this peacefully, have the medicine and sleep. Because once you are awake and better, you are explaining yourself missy." She nods at this not able to look him in the eyes because she's too embarrassed. He looks as good as always and she looks like a sick homeless person. The sick part is true but who would want an attractive guy to find them in their worst condition. "Before you start overthinking, yes you look miserable but cute and I don't mind at all because I look worse than that when I'm sick." He chuckles as she glares at him definitely shocked because he basically scanned her brain. In no time she finishes her food, takes the medicine and gets settled in her bed where harry had to carry her because her legs felt like jelly and he didn't miss the slightly flustered girl because his smirk was cocky. "Take rest okay? And if you need anything, just shout my name, I'll be outside only."
"What? Why? Don't you have classes Harry? Plus you already did so much for me even tho it's not your responsibility." She furrows her eyebrows at him totally confused because of his kind gesture. "I did it because you deserve to be taken care of alright? And since you don't have anyone to do that for you, I want to help you. And before you open your mouth to say thank you, it was my pleasure. I didn't mind at all." He gives her a weak smile as she returns the action after mouthing a thank you. "Now cmon, sleep well. When you wake up, I might just have a surprise for you." He winks at her as he starts to walk towards the door. "Then I can't wait to wake up." She flashes a grin at him. "Yeah and for that you need to sleep first dummy so now don't waste time and take a good nap. I'll see you hm?" She nods eagerly before he switches off the light for her and slowly shuts the door. He is smiling ear to ear while walking away from her bedroom. He knows he's fucked because of a girl he met like 6 days ago. It saddens him that she doesn't have anyone around even tho she's so sweet and it's too cliché he agrees but, is this what love at first sight feels like. Oh he can't wait to see what is planned for him ahead.

Tumblr media
i just saw this photo and then voilà we get this mess:
Harry was so exhausted.
There was being tired like the kind of tired you are when you’ve just finished a training session in the gym, but then there’s the kind of tired where you yawn at the thought of even moving a muscle. Harry was currently the second kind of tired.
After coming back from a heavy day filming on the set of ‘Eternals’, Harry had instantly come back to his house, lucky that the filming was close to your home in LA, and crashed on the sofa immediately. He hadn’t checked to see whether anyone was in the house, because he was too tired to even raise his voice to call.
He couldn’t remember much after sitting died in the couch, except for now where he felt a soft scribbling on his arms. Harry softly opened his eyes and tried his best to be still and quiet, wanting to see what was happening before he made any rational movements. He had to hold his laugh in when he saw the sight to the side of him.
“George, you’re not being very helpful.” Daphne sighed as her brother wasn’t doing what she’d asked him to do, “I asked for the red pen, not the blue one.”
Daphne had to pick up the red pen for herself, watching as her brother held the blue one between his chubby 1 year old fingers. Daphne rubbed the pen over her brothers legs to try the colour out first, making sure she was satisfied before using it on her dad. Harry smirked as he watched the adoring sight in front of him. He would of let her continue had it not been for George about to eat the blue pen.
“Oi, buddy no.” Harry quickly shot up from the chair and pulled the pen out of his hands before he could do any damage. George looked at his dad with sad and confused eyes. “Don’t look at me like that pal. As much as the blue looks yummy, I don’t think y’mum would be too pleased with y’eating it. Don’t want to get daddy in trouble now, do we?”
Harry scooped up George in his arms before sitting back down on the sofa. A moment later Daphne comes and climbs up next to him. “Hi daddy.” She smiled, cuddling into his side and Harry wrapped his arm around her small 4 year old frame and hugged her tight.
“Hello my queen.” He kissed the top of her forehead, before peeling back to give his little king a kiss to the top of his forehead too. “What’ve y’done to me?” Harry asked her, looking at his arms as he kept George pressed against his chest carefully.
“Mummy bought me some new pens and I wanted to colour in. Mummy said that I had to use my big brain instead of buying me a colouring book, though.” Daphne explained, playing with his fingers as she explained with her little people words.
“You definitely used y’big brain against mummy this time petal.” Harry chuckled under his breathe, excited for the look on your face when you saw the three of them.
“George helped too.” Daphne added, making Harry chuckle because George was covered in just about the same amount of ink as Harry had been. If not, worse.
“Very creative, bubs. Proud of you.” Harry kissed his daughters head again. “Where’s mummy?”
“She said she was going to do some work for you.”
“For me?” Harry questioned.
Your job wasn’t a regular 9-5 job. You worked as Harry’s PA, getting paid by Harry’s management the same way that any other employee would. You had been working in the music industry long before you’d met Harry, in fact that’s how you met him, so you were well equipped for the job. It wasn’t odd for you to be doing jobs at random times. It was odd, however, that you were doing work when Harry didn’t even realise there was work to be done.
You had and always would be the hardest working person that he’d ever known and that included himself in that equation. You loved your family so much that it would do anything to provide for them, considering also the fact that you hated abusing Harry’s money. You had a joint bank account, but he only put in the same amount that you got paid in it so you were both equals. His other money went into stocks and shares or property or charity. He loved that you made him so grounded and real.
“She said you looked too tired.” Daphne spoke, a slight sadness to get voice that Harry detected.
“Hey, bubs, what’s wrong?”
Daphne climbed around in his hold, sitting next to her dad’s body. “Just missed you today, daddy. Don’t want you to be tired. Or sad.”
“Who said anything about me being sad, hm? How can I be sad when i’ve got the two biggest balls of sunshine in m’life? Missed you too, Daph, so much. Love you.” He kissed her forehead again and then Daphne cupped her dad’s cheeks as she kissed his cheek and whispered that she loved him back.
Harry ordered Daphne to sit with her brother, turning on Cbeebies to keep them entertained, whilst he went to find you.
His nap has really rejuvenated him and he felt so much better now. He wanted to spend as much time with his family tonight as possible, feeling bad that he’d missed out on yet another day with them. His schedule was too crazy at the moment and there were so many meeting what with tour coming up soon. His management were also pressing him for another project soon and he had no idea what he was going to do for that. His new album was nearly finished, but not where he wanted it to be yet. Everything was becoming too much and he knew the only person that would calm him through it would be you.
It was silent as he walked through the house and towards the office, where no doubt you would be found. Pushing open the doors to the room, he quickly found you turning your head to see who had walked in. You were sat, not at the office desk, but on the floor in front of heaps and heaps of papers. You smiled at him and pushed your glasses on to the top of your head, seeing as they were just for helping with close distance reading.
“Y’alright love?” Harry asked, leaving the door open in case his children needed to shout for him.
“Yeah. Just getting some work done. Y’okay now too? Looked so tired before babe.” You stopped doing whatever you were doing and sat crossed legged on the floor, giving your undivided attention to your husband.
“Was so tired, m’love. I’m better now though. Kids were just showing me their artwork.”
“Oh yeah? How’s it looking?” You asked, intrigued over what your brilliantly creative kids were up to.
“Messy.” Was all Harry could respond, not having the heart to tell his wife yet that the children had become the art themselves.
“Could’ve told y’that by the state of y’arms, H.” You laughed when Harry looked down as if he’d forgotten that he too was covered head to toe in pens.
Harry looked down and twisted his tattooed arm in his grip. Daphne had done a terrible job at sticking to the lines, but he loved how abstract it was nevertheless. The mermaid was coloured just like Ariel and it made Harry recall the night that he’d sat and watched it with his little girl, in order to get her to sleep easily.
“They get this devilsome side from you love, I swear it.” Harry chuckled, walking over towards you and perching on the edge of the desk just behind where you were sat in front of all your piles of papers.
“Me? Devilsome?” You pretended to be offended.
“And they get their charming looks from me.”
“Well I can’t argue with y’there babe.”
Harry and you chuckled, until Harry went more and more silent. It was a tell to you that something wasn’t exactly right and he needed you a little bit more today.
You stood up from your position on the floor and didn’t say anything, but wrapped your arms around his body until you were squeezing him tight. You squeezed, keeping your cheek softy pressed against his clothed chest, until you felt his arms snake around you too to squeeze. He kissed the top of your head and you hummed in delight. Tiny moments like these made your life more than ten times better.
“Y’smell good.” Harry mumbled against where his cheek was pressed against the top of your head now.
You hummed, not allowing yourself to be sidetracked from this conversation. “Y’gonna tell me what’s up or am I going to have to tickle it out of you?”
“Tickle me and see what happens, love.” Harry threatened you, knowing how bad he hated being tickled. It was so horrible that he’s actually cried ugly sobs whilst you’ve done it sometimes.
“Then talk t’me.” You spoke softly.
“Daph missed me today.” Harry sighed, both of you still held tight in each others arms except you moved your head so you could look up at him. He looked down at you, making you lean up and kiss his double chin because you couldn’t help yourself.
You could tell by his eyes that he was so tired. His dark circles were loud and proud and his eyes slightly red from the strain of keeping them open. You always thought your husband worked too hard, never too much. He never took on more projects than he could handle, but the projects he did put on himself he always gave 101% to. It was that 1% extra that caused the dark circles and red eyes. It caused exhaustion beyond reason. It made him half the man he was, because he only ever had half his energy.
“She always misses you.”
“That’s exactly the problem, Y/N. I don’t want her to miss me. Not always. It just proves that i’m never here and i’m always away and one day i’m going to come back and she’s going to hate me and call me a bad bad and—”
You snaked a hand up his back and to his neck before he could stop talking, pushing his neck down so he could meet your lips. You pushed him into the kiss. He was stunned at first, but when he realised that his beautiful wife was kissing him he didn’t hesitate to push himself into it too. He kissed and kissed and kissed you, until he was convinced that he’d probed just how much he loves you. You pulled back only slightly to look into his dazed eyes, giving him one final peck before removing your hand from his neck and moving further away - still hugging him though.
“What was that for?” He asked, not that he was complaining.
“You were talking too much.” You responded simply, before continuing. “Harry, before you I was always so wary of my ex-boyfriends and girlfriends because I would look at them and think ‘shit, I don’t want you to parent my kids’. Half the reason I broke up with them is because my future with them was so non-existent. Y’know what else? They were half the people that you are. They were only on small paid jobs, which meant half the time they were at home with me.”
“You’ve never told me that before.”
“Never needed to. However, you saying that you’re a bad dad and how you’re never here? It’s fucking bullshit. I’ve never felt so strongly about someone other than you, Harry. Never. Seeing you being a dad to those two amazing children out there, is genuinely my favourite feeling in the goddamn world. I’m thankful that you are their dad. They deserve you. They are everything they are because of you, and maybe a little bit of me too. Those children are who they are because you allow them to be just that. The first time I saw you, I knew. I look at you now and I still know. Your children love you H, so bloody much. Don’t think for one second that they could do otherwise.”
Harry had gotten teary eyed as you’d spoken and only progressed to little sobs towards the end. You pulled him close and allowed him to cry on your shoulder. You held him until the sobs had stopped and he could breathe a little better.
“And you?” Harry asked, pulling back to look lovingly at you.
“What about me?”
“Daph said that you were doing all this extra work because you didn’t want it to pile on top of me. Is that true?”
“Oh, these are just old taxes and bills that i’m sorting through ready for the new financial year babe. Nothing too strenuous. I leave that all to you, y’know that.” You chuckled, making Harry smile too.
“Y’too good, y’know that Y/N?” Harry asked rhetorically, making your bite down on your lip to suppress a cheshire cat grin.
“I try to be. Just as I know you do.”
“Fuck, I love you so much.” Harry whispered, before bringing you in for another longing kiss. He made sure you were breathless before detaching himself from your pretty lips.
“I love you too. Now go get yourself clean, before we have dinner.” You released yourself from your warm hug and left the room.
Harry was in the bathroom, scrubbing his skin clean of any pen or crayon marks, but leaving the mermaid colouring in on his arm because he liked it too much. It was perfect, not because it looked really cool but because it came from the most special little human beings in his life. He smiled to himself as he looked over his arm, before hearing you shout down the hallway.
“Harry? Why does my child look like he belongs in an art gallery?”
Harry couldn’t help but just smile, knowing he had the most perfect life with the most perfect people.

Modern AU headcanons - Xiao as a tattoo artist
Tumblr media
Warning: NSFW
Pairing: Xiao x gn reader
Tumblr media
Xiao feels his heart hammering in his chest. His heartbeat is so fast that he can hear it loud and clear, thumping fervently. It’s muting the sounds of the drunken people around him, catcalling the dancers on the stage. It’s drowning out the beat of the music, flowing through the obscure club that he is currently in. Xiao, stiff as a poker, is growing dizzy. The world around him keeps spiralling but, he is frozen, unable to move.
It’s you. With eyes like saucers, he stares at you. Bright amber orbs follow each move of your skimpy dressed body. Almost like your own shadow, they linger on you persistently. Xiao would like to turn his eyes away, but he cannot. It’s scary. The lights in the club flicker continuously, yet he doesn’t blink. He wouldn’t dare losing even the smallest of details from your performance. Body rolls followed by the lewdest cheeky little grins he’s ever seen in his life.
Is this the same person he knows so well? The same friend with whom he’s been living under the same roof? The longer he stands there the less certain he is. But one thing is for sure, he doesn’t like the way his dick has started to press against his zipper, and it hurts like a bitch, too.
„Fuck.”
XIao’s lips move but he isn’t in control of that, his entranced mind plays some dirty tricks on him.
The flashbacks from the past begin to flood his frenzied brain as he mindlessly eye-fucks you together with the rest of the riled-up crowd. If Xiao wasn’t so stupefied himself he would surely pick up a fight with these salivating bastards. His knuckles turn white once you lower yourself to the man who greedily pushes his dirty fingers behind the hem of your shorts to insert there a whole bunch of cash.
Xiao swallows hard seeing you smile back at the man, the same smile you gave him when he met you for the first time in the tattoo shop. The recollection of you coming there to have your tattoo done somehow replays before his eyes the moment he notices his work. You asked him for a little colourful constellation of your zodiac sign. He remembers how your face lit up when you saw the finished tattoo. He’d never been this nervous tattooing anyone, so determined to make you like it. The sparks of joy further brightening your captivating eyes were the most satisfying payment he’s received in his career up until this day.
He still wonders how he got so lucky that despite his grumpy demeanour you were hell-bent on befriending him. You regularly showed up at the tattoo shop under the pretence of catching up with his boss, your childhood buddy. However, visit after visit, Xiao found himself naturally warming up to you, even if the process was excruciatingly slow. What for him seemed like a milestone for others would be probably just an ordinary chit-chat.
The thing was, that for some reason, you didn’t mind. You kept coming and sitting there, watching him work and telling him some random stuff about your day. He might have been silent the whole time but it didn’t stop you in the slightest. You told him stories about your university life. He learned that you were a dance major, broke as fuck and barely managing to see the light of the next day. You were also falling behind on your rent and you couldn’t find any proper job with your hectic class arrangement.
„You could crash at my place. I happen to have a spare room.”
Xiao muttered, hunching over a client. The buzzing of the tattoo gun was the only sound in the otherwise dead silent parlour. So awkward. Fuck. Xiao wanted to shove a fist up his mouth for saying that. What a fucking idiot. He had barely been able to hold any conversation with you and the first coherent sentence that he came up with was the invitation for you to live with him? Honestly? Even for him being socially off-key that was one hell of a dumb fucking move. Good job, you moron.
The guy in the chair cleared his throat, visibly affected by the second-hand embarrassment of Xiao’s gross blunder. The ship was sinking and they were like those rats, pathetically going down with it.
Xiao’s hands were trembling. Bright as a tomato, he cursed himself under his breath.
„Are you serious Xiao?!”
You squealed making him jump and then you lunged at him and awkwardly scooped him closer, wrapping your arms around his torso.
„Do you really mean it?”
Xiao stiffened, if he hadn’t been red enough earlier then definitely this time all blood in his body rushed to his cheeks. Rendered immovable by your tight grip, he squirmed in your hold.
„H-hey, I’m trying to work here.”
He stuttered, secretly loving the way he fit in your arms.
So, it happened that you moved into his apartment. Despite him trying to convince you that he didn’t need any of your money, you couldn’t simply agree to that. Desperately, you were looking for a job but it wasn’t that easy.
Nevertheless, one day you just informed him that you did manage to get hired. The only drawback was the fact that you had to work night shifts but even that wasn’t an obstacle for you. You didn’t want to take advantage of Xiao’s generosity, no matter how many times he stressed it was all fine by him.
Xiao hated it. He hated those evenings when he saw you leaving the apartment, waving him goodbye with this disarming smile on your face. He grew restless. There was just something in your eyes whenever you came back home the next day. It didn’t seem right.
He was struggling internally, debating what to do but this whole thing was eating him up alive and so he gave in. This evening he sneakily tagged along after you.
And here he is, too afraid to move. The storm of hormones pulling him in, hypnotised by the magical show rousing the need in his body. So shameless. The piece of the puzzle that didn’t fit is finally out there in the open. He is frustrated, furious with himself for not realising things earlier.
It’s only when you move further down the stage does he come to his senses. The dizziness getting worse, Xiao’s blood boils under his skin. The performance is coming to an end. Lights go out and the feeling of nervousness stirs in him. He knows he must get back to the apartment before you.
Damn near losing his sanity, he rushes home. He can’t steady his uneven breath. Chest erratically goes up and down as he lies in his bed hearing the key turn in the lock. He squeezes his eyes shut, praying for the boner to go away.
He’s in the living room. When you moved in he offered you to occupy his old bedroom. It all smelled like him and even though it made you feel bad, you couldn’t say no to that overwhelming scent.
So when you enter the apartment and peer at the curled up boy, it never ceases to amaze you how unavoidable his beauty is. Each time it all comes crashing down at you and your legs just move forward. In close vicinity, his features seem to be even more other-worldly. You adore the way his usually angry face relaxes as Xiao enters the state of senselessness, lulled into the world of his dreams.
Tonight, though, the boy appears to be rather restless. His fists are clenched and breathing ragged. Alarmed, you lift your hand to his cheeks. Your fingers gently caress the surface of his skin. He’s burning up.
„Xiao, are you ok?”
You ask, not expecting any answers in return.
„Pretty boy, you must be having a nightmare.”
You lean in and Xiao feels the heat radiating from your body, attacking all of his senses at once. He’s never had to fight against his feelings They’ve never driven him up a wall like that. He wants to open his eyes and move closer to you, succumb to that inviting warmth but he is rigid. A shiver runs down his spine once your lips graze over his forehead. You place a couple of tender kisses on his face, gently tucking him in.
Your weariness starts to get to you and with a heavy heart you reluctantly lift yourself from your knees. You’d be more than happy to rest next to him but... Well, the boy is not a fan of physical contact and you’d feel terrible if you ever upset him with your clinginess.
Xiao hardly stifles the whimper of dissatisfaction bubbling inside his throat at the loss of your touch. „Don’t go yet” he wants to beg. On the other hand, he is relieved. So damn relieved. How on Earth would he fucking explain this hard-on, swelling more and more like under the spell of a magical wand. He can feel himself leaking despite his best attempts to shoo away all of these wanton desires running rampant in his head.
The moment he recognizes the sound of your body lifelessly plopping on the bed in your bedroom his hands are on his dick. Feverishly, he pushes the trousers down his hips, revealing the stained with pre-cum underwear. There is something foreign about how his fingers feel around his dick. It’s much more urgent, painfully intense like his body has caught fire and it wholly consumes him.
As if chased by a pack of howling wolves the boy angrily moves his hand up and down his aching member. Hips jerking upwards commanded by the violent pumps of his fist. Tears well up in his eyes and Xiao defeatedly places a hand over his lips to muffle those filthy moans that dance on the tip of his tongue. His skin continues to burn. Tissue contracting in a rhythmic manner and all of that inevitably sends him into oblivion. Xiao is breathless.
His orgasm unravels, hauntingly bringing back the image of you dancing on that scene. The tingles stretch all over his limbs, leaving him petrified. Hanging somewhere between consciousness and the all-pervading sensation of dream-like ecstasy, Xiao drifts off to sleep with your name still on his lips.
The following week Xiao’s change in behaviour towards you doesn’t go unnoticed and it leaves you feeling more and more concerned. The boy is distant. His eyes averting your gaze, any attempt at striking up a conversation with him is cut short by his vague and grumpier than usual answers.
When you placed your hand on his shoulder to somehow get him to focus on you he jumped away, startled. It was quite shocking. You apologised immediately and it made him even more flustered. His face was unreadable and unusually distressed.
Xiao is exasperated. He can’t come to terms with the guilt weighing on his shoulders. It’s pulling him down, turning into a millstone around his neck. He keeps thinking about your body, the way it looked so perfectly smooth and silky. It goes back to him, like a boomerang.
He can’t make himself look into your eyes, burdened by these obscene thoughts. Xiao finds it disgusting. He thinks it’s just gross how he is unable to get a hold of himself around you. His dick just randomly goes hard whenever you appear in his sight, or just in general. Xiao doesn’t even have to be near you. The boners come at the most unfavourable of times and he begins to wonder how his dick hasn’t fallen off yet from how often he has masturbated since that night.
It doesn’t help that Xiao follows you to the club each evening, standing somewhere in the corner, making sure that you get home safely and that no horny prick makes a move at you. Internally torn and ashamed of his weakness, he peers at the scene. He wants to punch himself for each stolen peek but he is utterly powerless. He knows he should confront you about that situation and end this madness but it’s easier said than done. Xiao feels like a prisoner of his selfish desire and helplessness.
Nevertheless, there comes a night when it all folds like a house of cards.
You are on your way out of the club, mentally and physically exhausted after the long performance. Unbeknownst to you, you’re being safely escorted home by none other than Xiao himself.
It happens in the blink of an eye. You don’t even have the chance to defend yourself as you’re forcefully grabbed by some hands and pushed against the wall. It’s frightening and the guy hovering over you looks equally drunk as he is horny.
You open your mouth to scream but before you can do it, the attacker is dragged by his hair and tossed to the ground like a sack of potatoes. He growls and attempts to lift himself to strike back but it’s futile. Xiao, in an amok, kicks his lower abdomen making the guy squirm in pain.
Xiao’s amber orbs appear to be dull, fixated on the man. You’ve never seen him like that and cold shivers shake your terror-stricken body. On wobbly legs, you run up to Xiao and hold him from behind to make him stop. Boiling mad, Xiao goes berserk in your arms.
„Xiao, please! Please stop!”
Only after registering your hysterical pleas does he compose himself. Xiao turns around to face you. He thinks that his chest might explode once he notices tears streaming down your cheeks. His jaw goes slack. For a second it seems to you that he was about to say something but his brows furrow and face twists in a grimace of something akin to pain or deep regret. He grabs your hand and wordlessly leads you home, all the time protecting your hand in his. Xiao’s palm gets sweaty despite being cold to the touch but he doesn’t let go of you, only squeezing it tighter and tighter.
By the time you set your foot in the apartment, the tears have long dried on your cheeks. Xiao slams the door shut and saunters towards his bed not saying a single word, leaving you standing all alone in the jet-black corridor.
It’s agonizing. The silence, so many unspoken words and his cold attitude shatter your heart to pieces. You would prefer him to scream, get frustrated, say something bad to you but not just ignore your existence. New tears well up in your eyes when he just lies down, turning his back to you.
„X-xiao, ermm...,” you begin hesitantly, choking on your sob.
He stops breathing, holds his breath too afraid to look at your sad face again.
You don’t know how but somehow you manage to tip-toe to his bed as if you were approaching a wild animal, too concerned that you might scare him away.
„Do-do you think that I’m..., do you think I’m disgusting?”
The last part of your question stabs him right in the heart. Mortified, he sits up on the bed, amber orbs seeking yours, somewhere amidst the darkness of the living room.
„H-how could I eve---,” the words die in his throat and his voice doesn’t sound normal.
The air around him feels charged with anguish and he can’t take it anymore. It’s not you who is disgusting. Xiao wants to scream his lungs out but his voice cracks and a pathetic sound escapes his lips.
He shifts awkwardly, turning his body towards you and like a child stretches his arms out in your direction. Stumbling over your feet, you rush into his arms and he rigidly wraps them around you, pulling you down on the bed.
Your legs and arms clingily sneak around his body, sealing the space between you. He doesn’t oppose, evenly aching for the comforting touch. Xiao’s stiff hand directs your head to his chest and you oblige, resting your forehead right next to his hammering heart.
Your breath tickles Xiao’s neck and the boy shudders. You pull him even closer, so close that there is no distinction between where his body ends and yours begins. Xiao dives his fingers into the softness of your hair, gently playing with it and it makes you purr.
„You’re absolutely perfect.”
He whispers so quietly that you can barely hear him but it’s enough to silence all your insecurities.
Your heart slams against your ribs, just as erratically as Xiao’s. It might as well crack them if it continues beating so absurdly fast. Your legs end up being tangled with Xiao’s and his crotch is tightly pressed to your thigh.
He got hard. So fucking hard like in a matter of seconds. You can feel it swell on your leg and your brain becomes hazy with want. The urge to please him, make him cum for you and witness how this boy surrenders to his lust dictate your next moves.
He is terrified that you might notice, worried about your reaction but he just doesn’t want to push you away. He can’t. A soft gasp leaves his lips once you rock your hips forward, his dick rubbing all over your thigh and you immediately push again. Xiao’s breathing coming faster and harder the second time his hard-on slides up and down your body.
A long slow groan, more like a grunt comes from his lips as you persistently hold him and begin to get him off in a rhythmic manner. Xiao can’t believe what is happening. He peers down at you, his eyes filled with worship like adoration and a hint of disbelief. Overwhelming emotions blend beautifully in the amber pools and it hits you like a truck. Time stands still.
„Xiao, b-baby,” you coo at the boy whose loving gaze reaches for places deep in your soul.
He fucking loses it. Xiao trembles and maniacally thrusts his pelvis to rub himself all over you again and again. Wild thoughts flash through your mind and you know you won’t let him come unless it’s in your mouth.
„I’m s-so sorry--, na-ah, I-I can’t control it around you.”
His confession further sets your body ablaze and you dig your nails into his hips, griping as tight as you can. Xiao hisses, stunned by the conflicting sensations of pain and pleasure.
„Slow down Baby. Leave something for me to enjoy, huh?”
Shocked, Xiao absent-mindedly shakes his head with his mouth agape. He observes how you greedily tug at his waistband and snatch his clothes away in a frenzy.
„There are so many more things I’ve wanted to do to you.”
Xiao lets you overpower him and ends up lying on his back with you between his naked thighs. He props up on his elbow and breathes shakily, questioning eyes nag you to carry on.
You lower yourself on him and admire the beauty of his raging hard boner, resting heavily on his well-defined abs. You tilt your head slightly to the side to peer at him through half-lidded eyes as you delicately take his hard member into the palm of your hand. It feels heavy and so warm. Xiao sucks in a breath when you kiss the tip of his leaking cock.
„D-don’t, please!”
Xiao’s right hand squeezes your shoulder and he attempts to push you away but you won’t budge.
„What’s wrong Xiao? I’m not gonna hurt you.”
You query, your hot breath ghosting over the surface of his cock and he struggles to formulate a response.
„I don’t know how long I can go, I’ve never...,” he trails off and your stomach twists in the sudden wave of enthusiasm.
„Oh, Baby, but it’s all fine. I want to feel your thick cum squirting down my throat.”
Xiao hardly controls the sounds falling from his lips and doesn’t think he will be ever able to do that if you suck on him so expertly with your taut mouth. Because fuck his life he’s never been so fucking wrecked like he is now with your head bobbing up and down his shaft as if it was a lollipop. It’s just not fair how he cannot catch his breath and his balls have got so tight that he knows he is going to explode any moment now.
Xiao’s blood boils under his skin and his dick painfully twitches in your hand as if inviting you to fulfil your wish. His flushed face turns you on immensely and without further ado you just take his entire length into your mouth in one swift movement. He cries out.
He writhes underneath you, moaning and moaning. Xiao’s fists grip the sheets, getting alarmingly close to the edge of a precipice he so much desires but at the same time is wary of. His muscles tighten and he is vaguely aware that if he doesn’t pull out then all of that cum loaded in his balls will end up on your pretty face.
As if sensing his distress, you push him down your throat, going even deeper than before and it makes you gag but it’s all worth it when Xiao basically falls apart. His insides somersault and he releases. Sticky substance gathers in your mouth as you’re too slow to swallow it all. It trickles down the corners of your mouth and you feel bad for wasting even a single drop. He tastes just divine.
Xiao thrashes around, helplessly shooting his cum in thick spurts, surprised at how suddenly it swept over his entire being. So intense, his orgasm conquers his body and senses leaving him exhausted. With one final thrust, he mewls weakly, utterly spent. Gently, you release his member and lick him clean, getting rid of any remnants of the bone-shattering orgasm that he’s just been through. Your throat burns but you love it.
You get to his eye level, hovering over him. His eyes are closed and he can’t steady his ragged breathing. You place your lips on his and he scoops you closer to him, embracing you with his trembling arms. He can taste himself on your lips and it makes him feel all weird inside. Lazily, you move your mouth against his and he mimics you, albeit you can tell that he’s barely conscious, so tempted to drift off to the land of dreams.
When you break the kiss and look into his half-lidded amber eyes you just smile softly at how cute he is.
„Let’s go to sleep. It’s been a long day.”
Xiao wants to protest but you won’t let him. A few minutes later he is asleep, head buried in your chest as you hold him close.
When you wake up a couple of hours later the bed is empty. Feeling a bit anxious, you clumsily attempt to get up and you would almost topple over if not for the armchair standing nearby.
On a small coffee table, you can notice a little note with a hastily written message and a plate with almond tofu. It seems like it’s only half of the serving. You walk up to the table and read the note.
Had to go to work. Early client. Hope you’ll enjoy the leftover tofu.
Xiao <3
You stifle the squeal that shamelessly falls from your lips with the palm of your hand. It’s the tofu that you prepared for him earlier. He must have eaten only some and decided to share the rest with you. It makes you feel all warm and fuzzy inside. Especially the cute little heart that he drew next to his name. You know damn well that it must have been a huge achievement for the reserved boy to go out of his shell and do this.
On cloud nine, you fix yourself some camomile tea and proceed to enjoy it alongside the dish left by Xiao. He’s been gone only for some time but you can’t wait to see him again. Wanting to know the exact time of his return, you turn on his laptop. You go to the search history to get to the link with his work schedule for this week.
All the blood rushes to your cheeks when the latest Google searches show that Xiao must have been desperately looking for some tips on the matter of oral sex.
How to please you partner with your tongue?
First time to oral sex? Find out how to make them cum.
A handy guide for virgins. How not to bust a nut before the grand finale.
As if the screen was burning holes in your eyes, you hurriedly close the laptop and take a few deep breaths. The heat from your cheeks is rapidly spreading lower, down to your groin. The idea that Xiao felt the need to educate himself on how to please you first thing in the morning is making you gasp for air like a fish out of water. He is so fucking cute and he has no idea.
The flashbacks of his needy whimpers are still fresh in your memory, like an echo reverberate through the depths of your arousal, so neglected and forgotten for far too long to be acceptable.
Xiao’s wanton facial expression imprinted on the back of your eyelids, tantalising your whole existence no matter if you have your eyes closed or open. With no time to spare, you head to your bedroom to fetch your vibrator and a bottle of lube. Wicked thoughts spread like a wildfire in your cloudy with lust brain as you go back to his bed. Comfortably seated with his pillow behind your back, you shed your clothes heedlessly, letting them pile down on the floor.
With impressive precision, you lubricate the vibrator and shudder at the sensation of the cold substance being pressed to your opening. In dire need of some stimulation, you switch the vibrator on, recklessly pushing it all in, ignoring the pangs of pain tearing you apart. It’s all temporary. The tip of the vibrator brushes over that spot inside and you hyperventilate, spreading your legs further on Xiao’s bed. Your thighs begin to quiver as you stubbornly pump the vibrator inside and out, aiming for that bundle of nerves that forms a knot in your lower belly.
Everything smells like Xiao. You can still feel him on the tip of your tongue, the sweet reminder of him releasing his love straight into your eager mouth. The squelching sound of your sex more and more audible in the room as your hand madly impales you with the buzzing device. With eyes closed, you continue this mad chase for pleasure. The world around you ceases to exist as the little sparks of joy surge through your groin but you’re yet to reach your shuddering crescendo.
„Xiao! Xiao!”
You cry out feeling how your toes curl under the unbearable tension stripping you of any dignity left. The vibrator plunges in again but then it all comes to an end when you hear the familiar voice.
„I’m h-here.”
Caught red-handed like a naughty teenager, you stare at the quivering with emotions amber-eyed boy. His face is beautifully pink, akin to a blank canvas that resurfaces the passion bubbling inside of the tattoo artist. Standing in the corridor, he shakes uncontrollably.
„Help me, please?”
You ask prettily, basking in the way he lusts over your body. He growls low in his throat, like a starved wild beast that is about to devour its meal after a tedious hunt. Xiao is famished, aching to be touched and, more importantly, to get to touch you.
He lunges at you in a daze, immediately covering your lips with his. The kiss is sloppy. His teeth clash against yours and Xiao’s canine grazes over your bottom lip. He senses the metallic taste in his mouth and starts sucking the tender flesh, painstakingly lapping the fractured tissue with his warm tongue. You moan into his lips, tugging his hair hard enough to elicit a weak whimper of pain that makes you smile proudly.
„Fucking pretty.”
You praise once your lips part and it embarrasses the shit out of him. He glances down wanting to escape the scrutiny of your heated gaze but, it is an even bigger trap. The vibrator sheathed snugly in your puffy hole leaves him transfixed. He forgets to swallow and his mouth is wide open again. Chuckling lightly, you snatch his chin and force him to look at you.
„What are you waiting for, Xiao?”
Once again, a breath-stealing, twisting, hungry kiss. Xiao expresses himself with actions rather than words. His brain is paralysed and he doesn’t trust his ability to speak with his dick pulsating angrily around nothing.
You don’t care much for that either. There are other things you expect him to do and for fuck’s sake, if he doesn’t hurry up you think you might just come around the vibrator without his help. You were so close anyway. You give him this commanding look and he just very sheepishly lifts his shaky hand to the device. He turns it on, lightly applying pressure to it as he wraps his finger around the vibrator for a better hold.
„Na-ahh!”
Your head falls back when Xiao experimentally nudges it in you. Everything swells when he establishes an obsessive almost tempo, addictively penetrating you with a newly-awoken desire to control. He has no idea if it feels as good as it should but judging from how you push back to meet his palm and moan out his name in a way that makes his insides convulse, it cannot be that bad of a performance.
„F-fuck! Ahh--I’m c-coming, Xiao!”
He braces himself. One hand wandering to your flushed face and, he cups it lovingly as he obscenely fucks an orgasm out of your jerking body. This relentless roll of going into spasms muscles weaves a staggering release of pleasure; that is like a storm rocking the otherwise calm sea. It’s long and unrelenting. By the end of it, you’re weakly swatting away Xiao’s hand, not able to take such intensity with your senses going into overdrive.
He gently removes the vibrator out of you, careful not to cause too much discomfort. You mewl, grasping his shoulder in a tight squeeze.
„S-sorry.”
He apologizes and, it makes you smile brighter than the Sun. He leans in, kisses your sweaty forehead and affectionately holds you in his arms for as long as you need to calm the little quivers of your exhausted body. He pepper-kisses your scalp, inhaling the scent of your hair.
Everything goes into slow motion but, you’re far from being satisfied. And so is Xiao. His member protrudes against the fabric of his distressed jeans and, the bulge looks so enticing as you’re lulled by him, wrapped by his protective arms.
Peering up to observe his reaction, your hands remove the trousers, delicately pulling Xiao’s member out of its confinement. Another growl erupts from deep in his chest because he knows damn well that you’re going to make him feel so good again. It’s so inviting. His eagerness drives you to go faster and, with some of his help, he is soon naked. This time you can freely admire his milky skin, the darkness of the night no longer depriving you of that ethereal view.
There is something he wants to say, you can see that in the little flickers of excitement mixed with bashfulness stirring in the amber pools. He squeezes your hand nervously and, you just tilt your head to encourage him to speak.
„C-can you do that to me, too?”
He queries, eyeing the vibrator resting next to your thigh and, it takes all of your self-control not to flash him a devilish grin that could make him feel conscious of his needs. The boy shivers when you take the vibrator in your hand and coat it with lube.
„It’s gonna hurt, Baby.”
You tell him truthfully, letting your fingers run up and down his silky thigh. He shakes his head.
„It’s ok. I like it.”
He admits and then whispers so quietly that you wonder if he said anything at all.
„As long as it’s you.”
Your heart thuds in your chest and you just nod, acknowledging his request. You gently guide him to rest on his back and he feels pliant under your touch, following your orders with shaky breaths that he fails to cover up.
„You need to relax for me, ok?”
You inform him, spreading the lube on your fingers as well.
„S-stop that. I’m not gonna fucking break.”
He bites back and this time you can’t stop yourself from grinning at him.
„Of course. You’re a big boy after all.”
With these words, you push your finger past the taut ring of muscles and he bites his lip hard. His brows furrow and, it’s like he squirms away from your intrusive finger that stretches him apart.
„It’s all fine.”
He gasps, seeing your concerned face and it is just so fucking erotic how he wants it despite being in pain. Your fingertips rest on the skin of his quaking thigh and you wait no more, fully plunging your finger inside and he moans so loud. He watches you through narrowed eyelids, asking you to continue. Xiao’s dick is rock hard and it jerks untouched.
Xiao could swear that there is nothing sexier than this penetrating look in your eyes when you’re so fixated on him, assaulting him with your finger. It gives him butterflies when you unabashedly rive him over. Something hot curls in his belly when you remove your finger only to reach for the vibrator. It hurt so much when you dipped your finger in and now it hurts even more when it’s no longer inside.
He startles, the sound of the buzzing device makes his skin prickle in anticipation.
„Tell me if you want me to stop, it is al---,”
„I don’t want to stop.”
He cuts you short, frustrated. Your eyes light up and, you falter no more, inching the tip of the vibrator towards his puckering hole. You reach out to him and he gladly accepts, his chest heaving as if he was running a marathon. Your fingers intertwine and you force the vibrator all in, despite the protest of his tight walls.
Xiao’s blood rushes around his head and he cannot fathom what is going on but it all feels just excruciatingly good when this damn thing in your palm brushes over his prostate. He exhales with a loud whiff of air and he spreads his legs even further.
„Na-aah, f-fuck, there!”
You hear him curse and, you know you hit the jackpot. Xiao mumbles something under his breath and, it’s hard to tell what with the buzz of adrenaline surging through your veins. He pleads, begging you not to stop and, quite honestly, it’s the last thing you would do right now, with how fucking ecstatic his face looks.
You go down on him and kiss the base of his cock, slowly dragging your lips upward to the swollen tip. He is gone. Hips bucking and his voice dying in his throat as he screams out your name when you wrap your lips around him. It doesn’t take more than a few skilful laps with your tongue and the sweet cum begins flooding your throat. This time you won’t let it go to waste.
Xiao cums hard with tears spilling down his cheeks as it soon becomes too much. Not wanting to overstimulate him, you gently still the movement of your palm, letting the vibrations subdue the powerful contractions of his g-spot. Your mouth longingly holds his twitching cock inside of its warmth and he whimpers with the final jerk of his pelvis.
You hover over him to kiss him as you pull out the vibrator. You know how unpleasant it must be right now, but he takes it so well, caging you with his heavy arms. He doesn’t have any strength left. It takes a long time before his uneven breath stabilizes as you hold him against your chest. His black strands stickily cling to his forehead and you gently tuck them behind his red ears. Xiao purrs, feeling a shiver running down his spine.
„Found you a job.”
Xiao mumbles, nuzzling his head into your palm.
„Huh?”
You ask, dumbfounded.
„This client of mine. He has a dance school for children. It happens so that they need a new instructor.”
He explains, getting all drowsy thanks to your comforting embrace. It finally feels like he will be able to rest.
„Xiao, you know what?”
„Hmm?”
He barely manages to respond.
„I love you.”
He is glad that you cannot see his face. It burns so much that it must be redder than the reddest apple in any orchard.
„Shut up..., ugh. Love you too, you idiot.”
