wasn't sure if anyone is even interested in hearing from me but I guess it's worth a shot lol. As promised, here is a snippet from the fake dating fic

Buck hums in response and pulls as many bags over his shoulders as he can.
Abuela clicks her tongue, “You firefighters, so strong.”
Buck grins at her, “Yep, I could even carry Eddie and have no issues.”
Eddie snorts, “Sure.”
Buck turns to look at him, “Is that a challenge, Diaz?”
There’s amusement twinkling in Eddie’s eyes, “What if it is?”
“Uhg,” Christopher complains, “I’m going inside.”
Pepa’s laugh echoes through the garden. She shakes her head and grabs a bag from Buck, following Christopher to the house.
“Puberty,” Eddie deadpans to Abuela, closing the car.
She hums, “Yeah, I remember. You were a heathen.”
Eddie gasps, “I was an angel!”
“I am going to need so many embarrassing childhood stories,” Buck tells Abuela as they walk to the house. “Give me the worst thing you got.”
“He once got stuck in the stairs,” Abuela tells him gladly.
“Hey! No, no!” Eddie protests. Buck holds up a hand, shushing him.

Fuck It Friday!
Hi! How are we all doing after the episode? I've had the most insane week of my life last week, and spent around 60 hours at the hospital (I think), with active shooters and emergency caesareans so didn't manage any words until this morning. I think I live in the Grey's Anatomy universe lowkey dsfkdfs. Please enjoy a little bit of Eddie Lore from Frostpunk AU!!

It takes a couple of weeks before the doctors think Eddie and Christopher are strong enough to leave the hospital. Christopher recovers fast, much to Eddie’s relief, and he would be allowed to leave the hospital a week before Eddie, but there’s nowhere for him to go, and Eddie doesn’t want him to leave his side. He’s almost lost his son once; he’s not going to let it happen again.
He’s got a feeling Buck is plotting something. The man has been by his and Christopher’s bedside almost every day since they woke up – and, Eddie suspects, every day before they woke up – with a short break to go out on another mission that he’d grumbled no end about. But lately he’s been talking in hushed tones with Hen and Chimney, and even Bobby, before returning to his chair and pretending nothing had happened. It’s suspicious, to say the least.
Eddie’s still not entirely sure why he feels so at ease with Buck. He barely knows the guy, with only the vaguest, blurriest memories of him before the hospital, but he’s started to wonder if the calm, angel-like presence he felt during his coma might be the same as he feels when Buck is nearby. If Buck was his angel.
They talk a lot. There’s not really much else to do, and Buck seems content to sit and listen to Eddie talk about their life back in Sector 126. Eddie tells him about his parents and his sisters, and what it was like growing up with them.
He tells Buck about how Sector 126 was very devout and focused a lot of their laws off the word of God. How his parents raised him as a good, God-fearing boy but he never felt he was entirely there with them about it all. How he met Shannon and they immediately clicked, becoming inseparable as two teenagers, rebelling against their Sector’s laws as often as they could. How Shannon had come to him 5 months into their relationship to say she hadn’t bled in two months and couldn’t stop throwing up. How Eddie had immediately escaped to the Army Warehouse, claiming it was to support him and Shannon so they can move into a tent of their own.
He tells Buck about raising Christopher with cerebral palsy in a Sector that didn’t believe in taking drastic measures, instead believing that God would provide. How he’d had to resuscitate his newborn son because none of the medics would. Buck holds his hand as he gets choked up, and Eddie feels a relief as the weight of the last seven years lifts off his shoulders. Buck listens and listens as Eddie relives the worst moments of his life as he talks about how he and Shannon decided they couldn’t be together, but they also couldn’t stay in Sector 126 with Christopher, because their son needed help they couldn’t provide him.
When he tells Buck about how Shannon had died 3 days into their journey, frozen overnight because she wouldn’t let Eddie hold her in their shelter as they’d had a fight and she was furious with him, Buck holds him while he cries. He lets himself sink into Buck’s arms, tears streaming down his face and eyes listing shut as Buck scratches his fingers through Eddie’s hair and whispers soothing words into his ear.
He'll never forgive himself for what happened to Shannon, but Buck makes him wonder if maybe he could move on. To allow himself to be happy for the first time in his life.

sneak peak from my upcoming vignette series about buck and tommy getting to know each other
Buck learns that he really, really likes dating someone as masculine as Tommy. He likes Tommy’s height, his strength, the roughness of his big hands on Buck’s dick. But he also really, really likes dating someone as gentle as Tommy. He likes his slow kisses, his tender hugs, the sweetness in his voice as he whispers romantic nonsense into Buck’s ear. The combination of the two have Buck fairly smitten.
Buck is learning things about himself but he’s learning things about Tommy as well. He learns that Tommy only shaves once a week. He watches Tommy go through the same cycle over and over again: clean-shaven, slightly stubbled, almost-beard. Buck doesn’t know which stage of Tommy’s facial hair he likes best, and he’s thrilled that he doesn’t have to choose.
He learns that Tommy likes British romcoms, and that he always cries while watching them, no matter how many times he’s seen them already. Tommy cries watching Love, Actually. He cries watching Notting Hill. He sobs watching Pride and Prejudice, even though Buck has never considered that to be either a romcom or particularly tear-jerking.
“It’s about self-improvement,” Tommy explains through his tears. “It’s- it’s about letting go of who your social group has cond- has conditioned you to be and become- becoming kinder. Less judgmental. Because you want to, and not- not expecting praise for it, or- or doing it because it will make someone love you. It’s about taking a good- fuck, a good hard look at your behavior and- and deciding to be better. To become someone worth- worth loving. And it’s about someone amazing meeting you halfway.”
Buck pulls Tommy closer and cries then, too.

…Evan Buckley resembled a walking corpse — that’s how grayish-white he looked. He clung to Bobby as they walked down the aisle, and Bobby had an arm around Buck’s waist. Even from afar, Eddie clocked the layer of cold sweat on Buck’s face. His grinning face. Eddie had never seen Buck smiling so wide. He looked like he wanted to skip down the aisle.
Bobby handed Buck over to Eddie and then took his place as officiant. Eddie felt the fever heat before he enclosed both of Buck’s hands in both of his. “Mi amor,” Eddie whispered, frowning, “you’re sick.”
Buck’s sweat-soaked hands squeezed Eddie’s. “Love sick,” he replied, smirking. “I love you, Eddie. Marry me.”
Eddie felt Buck’s entire body trembling. “I intend to,” he said, “but Evan, I think we need to take you to the hospital.”
Buck, swaying, shook his head. “Wanna be yours, Eds,” he said, and his words slurred a bit. “I’m not going anywhere until I’m Evan Buckley-Diaz.”
Eddie leaned towards Bobby and whispered, “Better do the cliff notes version.”
Bobby nodded. “As fast as I can.”

Eddie felt sick.
As much as he tried, he couldn’t stop replaying their conversation back in his head. He was lost, swimming in his thoughts and trying to grasp at anything that could help him make sense of how he felt.
He wished it was as easy as talking about food or video games, why couldn’t he just casually tell Buck he loved him and then continue on like it wasn’t a big deal. Except it was a big deal, huge in fact. No one knew, not a soul, at least according to Eddie, that he was gay. Not even Eddie was entirely sure about that fact, all he knew was that he was in love with Buck and Buck was a man.
Eddie glanced over to his couch, staring at it from his kitchen as he noticed how annoyingly empty it was. He wished he could close his eyes and open them to a sleepy Buck, passed out and snoring softly while he sipped a beer quietly at the kitchen table. Eddie sighed deeply, running a hand down his face in frustration and glanced up at the clock above the TV.
9:20pm
Buck was usually at Eddie’s front door within an hour of the date, yet he was nowhere to be seen. Eddie didn't even know why he was surprised, Buck deserved to be happy; it's all Eddie ever wanted for him. After all, Buck had been on at least 6 dates in the last two months, one was bound to go right for him eventually. Eddie just thought he’d have more time, more time to process his feelings and to build up the courage to spill those feelings to Buck. But he also knew he couldn’t hold Buck back forever, all because he couldn’t figure out what he wanted.
"Damn it, Buck" He whispered, "How did I let you get under my skin so bad."

AITA for coming out at my sister's wedding?
I (32M) recently realized I'm bisexual and I have my first bf (45M), he's a rescue helicopter pilot (this will be relevant later). I'm out to my sister (41F) and my coworkers, including her husband, who I have worked with for years, but not to my parents or most of the other guests. Everyone has joked that I'm a little too close to my best friend (32M), and we might as well get married, but he's straight and has a gf. They're not relevant to this story, but to give context to how much my sexuality probably shouldn't be a surprise, even if it took me by surprise.
I told my sister and her husband I was bringing a plus one, and they both knew my bf, they were supportive of it because he makes me really happy.
Everything kind of started at the bachelor party. It was just me, my brother-in-law, and my best friend, and we did the usual stuff. We stayed a night in a hotel, went out to get drunk, sang some karaoke at our usual spot. It should have been a super chill night. Until my best friend and I lost the groom??? But it way more stressful than The Hangover makes it look.
He'd been taken by these guys who tried to kill him (no, I don't know why) and we didn't realize he was missing until less than an hour before the wedding. My mom kind of threw a fit about us being late, and then blamed me for losing the groom, which is kind of a normal reaction from her. My dad didn't yell as much but again, this is a normal reaction, I'm kind of the disappointment child. Basically, we had to find my brother-in-law because he still needed to marry my sister.
Before anyone worries: they did get married. He's fine. The hospital says they're discharging him tomorrow to go home. They're gonna reschedule their honeymoon so he's well enough to enjoy it.
Long story short, it turned into a rescue mission, and driving would have taken too long, and my best friend suggested we ask my bf to borrow his helicopter again (long story, but we had to borrow him for something a few months ago, it's how we met!) so I asked him for the favor. My mom asked who he was, since my best friend just used his name, and I told her he's my boyfriend, and she freaked out about it.
When we go to the hospital with my brother-in-law, my parents both yelled at and scolded me for taking attention away from the biggest day of my sister's life by pulling some "stunt" with my bf (to SAVE my brother-in-law from being violently murdered), and I think my dad somehow grounded me?
