I’ll admit the vibes on Daniel’s end are interesting to say the least (cross posting Red Bulls post rather than make his own, absolutely zero mention of Alpha Tauri etc) so I hope this is a decision Daniel is happy with. I’m going to miss the Red Bull content for sure though (and looks like Red Bull is too judging by the amount of Daniel posts they did today) and the idea of him surrounded by Simon, Christian, Max, everyone who loves him etc BUT hopefully he integrates quickly and smoothly with new garage and on the bright side he can now get a few Thursday media sofa sessions in with Max this season that he won’t get when he’s on the same team as him ;)

the biggest loser of the day really IS the rbr admin, pour one out for them fr 😔 we can only hope for their sake that we'll get a max / daniel crossover at some point over the next 4 months as part of the ongoing rb/at cross promotional work

i don't know what will happen with the qsmp in the future but i just can't put myself in it anymore

i feel disrespected by the choices Quackity's Studios made, as a french person, but also as someone who's been abused as a worker. I understand that the process may be long (every administrative stuff is hell) for the studio to solve the financial and hierarchical situation, and I believe Quackity did everything to solve the issue as fast as he could (it's a belief, at no point i'm saying this is the truth of course).

however, i do not agree with him being neglectful towards his own project, towards his own admins, towards the qsmp community, i do not agree with him being radio silent towards his employees/volunteers, not thanking them once they left, not communicating anything to them about their own future, i do not agree with him either being blind to their loudly expressed needs or purposely ignoring them, i do not agree with him telling everyone "stuff takes time" but also allowing new events to happen on the server, and i'm extremely disappointed in this whole situation, because it divides more than ever a community and a project that i, among a lot of other people, cherish since a year now, when simple mesures such as COMMUNICATION were ignored.

frankly i think that most of the people would have better understood and been patient if Quackity's Studios didn't keep on announcing new events like nothing was happening

the reason i'm not talking too much about the financial issue is that : 1. I believe finding a way to pay admins that are still in the qsmp is a priority to Quackity nowadays, along with firing those who mistreated the employees/volunteers ; 2. I believe they will find a solution regarding the incomes (merch actually being a means to pay the admins is one of them)

i'm writing this during qsmp awards, i know a lot of ccs will be there. i'm a little hurt and disappointed but at the same time, i know some of them have a personal relation to Quackity that we as viewers don't have, they have their reasons to trust Quackity, i just don't agree with them, but please, no hate towards them or to people who'll watch the future events

it's a goodbye even though no one knows me lmao (i spent hours and hours watching, filling the vods of timestamps, translating youtube clips, even drawing again since a long time, i filled in the qsmp fandoms, did presentation docs and put hours into spreadsheets of the ccs statistics), but know that being a part of this community was a life experience for me, in so many ways, i'm forever thankful for the people who made this project possible, i'll miss sharing my hyperfixation with you all

🎨 also, I saved a bunch of qsmp fanarts that I didn't want to rb because I didn't want to support in any way what was happening, i didn't want to make people feel like watching the streams was ok, instead, I wanted to let the most room for any info about the admins' situation

i realize now that it wasn't fair, their art comes from a place of love, and whatever their reason was to continue watching qsmp despite all that was happening is not my business. They did art, and good art, so i'll reblog the last qsmp fanarts and probably will continue to share some from time to time

🩵 big big thanks to the artists and the ccs for creating such an amazing universe, i hope you'll keep the spirit and maybe leave with good friends, and obviously i'm so proud of all the eggies (by that I mean their admins), who have spoken up and left a project despite their obvious love for it, thanks to Lea for starting all this, freeing admins from an unbearable situation they might have not even recognized as so at the time

i don't know if i'll be back, for now i need to step back, but if i see one day that the situation got all fixed and safe and that actual apologies were made, then maybe i'll come back to this unique qsmp (it'll certainly feel changed tho)

MCYT Passover Fanworks Event

Hi folks! I (@atthebell) am looking to host an MCYT Passover fanworks event sometime in March, just before Passover. It's way too early for anything to happen soon but I wanted folks to know this event is in the works. At the moment this is being planned by myself and @xpoolboy; I would love to get some more admins (particularly Jewish admins!) to help with planning, Discord logistics, and gathering prompts, but obviously nothing big is happening anytime soon; this is just an intro post to let folks know that this is happening.

My hope is to have prompts about the Passover seder and the Ten Plagues as well as the general idea of MCYTs celebrating Passover with loved ones. Please fill out the interest form once I release it to submit prompts (you don't have to be participating to submit prompts!) or you can shoot me an ask/DM and I'll add them to the list.

This is open to all of MCYTblr! I will send out an interest form in a few months, probably sometime in February, but if there seems to be a lot of interest I'll get working on it in January.

With each passing race I become more and more bitter.

I love Lewis for what he has achieved in the sport, but my goodness his fans put me off. Why do they always have to hate on George for no reason? It’s disturbing and cult like, people can beat your driver.

When he first joined the team I was so excited to see how the move benefited his career, but it’s come to the point where I want him out of it. Time and time again his teammate, team principle and members of the team throw him under the bus time and time again. I hate seeing people who rated him in Williams turn against him.

Mercedes won’t win championships any time soon and I want George to have the opportunity to do so. I can’t remember the last time I watched a race live. You know RB are gonna win the rest. Maybe next year will be better.

Lewis is a great driver. But he needs to realise that he's not going to lose by losing out against George. George was better all weekend the result may not show this in points but anyone who really watches knows. He may even be a great person. I'm personally getting the ick from the people he surrounds himselves with but let's be honest. They're all privileged and rich. Even Lewis as the only black driver. As the most succesful driver.

His fans are an abusive bunch of shit. And I mean that. With Max I didn't say a lot because I personally didn't see a lot of abuse that wasn't a direct reply to racism. And both sides were wrong. With Nicky it was unwarranted. The FIA and Red Bull are so much more to blame and for Nicky to hire security to protect his girlfriend (because he was scared of something happening to Sandy more than himself). They're visibly sending out "kill yourselves" to people. To minors. And no their excuses mean nothing. Not if we're already back to part two of the vicious cycle of dealing with team Lh. Tomorrow they'll pretend nothing ever happened.

Honestly Lewis, as long as he continues glorifying his fans the way he does and giving people the reason to believe they are right and they have nothing to fear. I'm through with him. I'm not claiming there aren't assholes along the George Russell fans. Even Alex Albon fans can get it wrong sometimes. Being a Lewis fan doesn't make you an asshole. As much as being a George fan doesn't make you a racist or fatphobic and stuff. And I'm aware that just because there are black sheep in every section of driver fans and it's generalising to claim there'S an issue with Lewis fans that I amd oing what I'm condoning.

Maybe it's being friends with someone who claimed "yeah okay that's bad but I got one hate anon by a George fan so both sides are bad". But I'm bitter. In 2021 y'all wanted him what are you so afraid of?

George showed a lot more this weekend than any driver did the whole year. He can drive on the same level as the world champions on the grid. He is the driver to look out for. He makes these mistakes and never makes them again. He takes responsibility (other than others who blame their team, the wind, George Russell, Oscar Piastri, the sun, the moon and the stars). The pace he's been showing. He's going to be a problem to so many drivers in the future. And I guess that's the issue

As for the team. I feel like something shifted today. It's small. It's maybe just a different twitter admin. Who knows. (But for Shov to not even mention Lewis). Maybe I'm delulu. But at the end of the day I don't think George should go elsewhere. Not because he couldn't outdrive any driver in their current team, which I believe firmly he could. But because I'm not sure if the teams that could help him succeed would let him. Other than maybe Williams, who after the European stretch is over are probably going to go back to the back of the midfield because that's what happened 2020,2021 and 2022. No other team would let him grow as much as Mercedes. What use is a Red Bull seat if you aren't allowed to beat Max Verstappen?

So yeah. I feel like a lot of the leading engineering voices in the team are more neutral than, say Toto. Which makes sense. Lewis had a massive impact on the success of Mercedes. But let's not forget that without a team like Mercedes Lewis wouldn't have had the success he had as well. Mercedes is one of the best teams on the grid as much as we sometimes hate it. They can win championships in the future and I feel like the people who matter know they can do it with both Lewis and George. And that George is their future.

Mercedes can be a shit place but unless Williams turns it around for the 2024 season it is the best place for George to be.

Reportedly Elkann started stalking Lewis by phone in spring 2023, so firstly Fred was brought for Charles.

In general I don't agree with Charles to RB and LH to Ferrari comparison, because it's two completely different situations: 1. It's Lewis who comes to Charles' home, not vice versa. So it might be seen as suicide move from Lewis. 2. Unlike Lewis, Max is in his prime. 3. Unlike Ferrari, RB is decently functioning team.

The fight with 1644 and 1633 is inevitable thing just like RB and Merc social admin have a competition to post Charles' photos. And I'm sitting on the fence here, I love 1633, I like 1644 but in other way, but I want both of them be away from Ferrari. And now unfortunately Elkann ruined it. And I'm pretty sure that one day I'll abandon both parties, because for me there is Charles, huge void, and then Max and Lewis.

it's been having faith since 2019 and where are we? We are waiting for Charles emoji from tests. Because I'm pretty sure that if he is comfortable in the car, we shouldn't be worried. At least now.

Ever since Bucky moved into the Avengers compound, he noticed that his gaze almost always found you. Lingering as you were doing mundane things such as washing up or reading on the couch.

Your legs tucked under your body, taking up the smallest space despite the length of the couch. A couch to accommodate over ten people was hard to find, but you and Tony made sure to find one that suited everyone. Even spending time finding cute cushions for everyone based on their power or role, insisting they were a necessary expense.

You weren’t anyone out of the ordinary, you weren’t a super soldier, you didn’t have any powers, you weren’t trained from a young age to be an assassin like Natasha. Or have deadly aim with a bow like Clint, you were in fact - extremely normal.

You actually weren’t even an Avenger, you worked admin and because you were constantly working and got on with everyone. Tony allowed you to live there full time.

You were someone who got on with everyone, no matter what background or how rude they were, you always put on a smile.

Bucky didn’t only admire this, but he was also jealous, he wished he could talk to people as easily as you could. He struggled being in the same room as other people, nevermind actually communicating with them.

However he loved to observe you from a distance, one day he would get the courage to speak to you. You were so good to him, never pushed him to talk to you, just brief hellos and polite smiles when he entered the room.

But he wanted to talk to you. He just needed a push, which ended up coming sooner than he was expecting.

You were antsy, rolling on the balls of your feet as you bit back a smile. You had wandered into the kitchen to grab some food and you had noticed Bucky reading, his beautiful blue eyes glued to the page.

“Is…Is that the Hobbit?” You asked as the smile that was threatening finally broke through onto your features, which Bucky thought was one of the most stunning things he had possibly ever seen.

“Yeah…” He hummed softly, this caused your smile to fall slightly. You were really hoping this could be the moment you finally get to talk to him properly.

You had been so patient, keeping your distance, waiting for him to come to you. But that never happened, which Steve had predicted you just didn’t want to believe him. Truth be told, you had a massive crush on the stoic man, there was something about him that you couldn’t quite put your finger on.

Maybe it was the mysterious energy that swirled around him constantly, maybe it was the few day old stubble that clearly annoyed him but he couldn’t seem to shave away.

Whatever it was, you wanted to find out, but maybe you had to wait a bit longer for him to open up.

“You like the Hobbit?” Bucky asks, his voice slightly huskier than he wanted.

Your eyes light up at the question, you had turned to leave thinking he didn’t want to make conversation. Spinning back around you send him the biggest smile before starting to walk over to where he was sitting.

“Is that even a question?” You chuckle softly. “Are you enjoying it so far?” You ask, not knowing he enjoyed reading nevermind the masterpiece that was J.R.R Tolkien.

“Oh… I’ve actually already read it, but I figured I would read it again” He takes a small pause as if he is thinking how to continue, his brow furrowing slightly. “Seen as though the last time I read it was in 1938”

Your mouth almost drops to the floor, you almost forget sometimes what he has been through and the experiences he has had. But this was definitely one of the more shocking in your eyes.

“You read it… the year after it was released?” You stare at him with wide eyes, you had so many questions.

“What? I don’t look like the type to read doll?” He snorts slightly as he chuckles, surprising himself. A small blush appears on his face as he realises what he just said and in that second he feels like himself again.

He used to be good at talking to women, good at flirting. Sadly with everything that happened he almost forgot what it was like to talk to one; nevermind flirt.

His eyes are glued to the pages of his book as he considers that he might have overstepped, his brain running at a hundred miles an hour.

“Well… can you really blame me? I’ve heard about your time in the war Sergeant… Steve has a huge mouth” You giggle slightly as you watch the look of bewilderment appear on Bucky’s face.

“Yeah.. I guess so…” He smiles softly.

You return his smile, wishing you could see it more often. But the fact that he allows you to see it just this once, is more than enough.

You hoped this would be the start of you breaking through the walls he has built up, no matter how long it took, you were determined.

As your gaze lingered on his concentrated face, his own eyes scanning the pages of The Hobbit once again, you decided that this was your new aim. You wanted to make the man next to you feel like himself again.
