(Love and romance headcanon prompts)

Hmmm... This is a tricky one.

Most relationships wouldn't mean much to him in the end, because he already expects them to fail. In fact, 'comfortable' wouldn't often happen for him in a relationship, and the ones he takes furthest are usually with people who annoy him. That way, he isn't being judged by and letting down someone whose approval he cares about. So he can be an arsehole and screw things up and not need to panic over it.

For a real relationship though, or a crush... It's still difficult to say. He doesn't really know what looks good and what doesn't, and he'd be nervous trying to figure it out when a good relationship is at stake. I do think though that if he knew his crush or partner liked something in particular, he might quietly integrate that and hope for the best, depending on what it is.

Similarly, if a real partner really enjoyed dressing up and they were going to a costumed event, he could be pestered into wearing something. Nothing too out-there or over the top, but... something. >w>

I know it had always been traditional for a book of hours to be passed down and given to family - often it was intended to be owned by more than its first user.

But still, Raphe Sadler keeping Thomas’s, and clearly instilling it with such a sense of importance that it was preserved and handed down over multiple generations, and then donated to be properly looked after? That it was kept so safe, even after his arrest and execution?

We know from the episode Mind Meld that Donnie gave his family chess code names for missions but something I think is neat is that in the first episode & the episode Bullhop we can see that Raph has also given his family members special code names

Raph: Yellow Submarine are we clear?

April: Affirmative Red Rover

Raph: Purple Rain, do you see the target?

Raph gave himself, April & Donnie the code names Red Rover, Yellow Submarine & Purple Rain respectively which are all song titles. Raph has actually been seen referencing different song titles within other parts of the series as well.

Raph: Jumpin’ Jack Flash!

In the episode Newsworthy Raph yells out ‘Jumpin’ Jack Flash!’ in surprise & Jumpin’ Jack Flash is actually a song by the Rolling Stones so that combined with the fact that Red Rover is a song by Rosie Thomas, Yellow Submarine is a song by the Beatles & Purple Rain is a song by Prince, might show that Raph has an interest in music.

In the episode Al Be Back it’s said that Raph’s favourite music genre is R&B but the song titles he references might show the other kind of songs he likes to listen to as well since Yellow Submarine & Red Rover could be considered similar genre’s.

It’s pretty interesting that both Raph & Donnie choose code names for their family based off of their interests. Donnie gave his family chess code names & Raph gave his family song title code names.

FINALS

It's the moment you've all been waiting for, folks! It's the final showdown between our two semifinalists for the title of ULTIMATE Red and Yellow!

On the left we have Sideswipe and Sunstreaker from Transformers. These terrific twins can transform into Lamborghini cars! They've defeated everyone who crossed their paths: their transforming adversaries, Knockout and Bumblebee; magical girls Kyoko Sakura and Mami Tomoe; the reason this bracket was formed, Red and Yellow from AvA/M; and most recently, they battled against Touhou's protagonist and deuteragonist, Reimu Hakurei and Marisa Kirisame, sweeping by pretty much exactly 70%!

And on the right we have Dick Simmons and Dexter Grif who, while actually maroon and orange, swept through their competition by the will of the fans and committing to the bit: basketball anime boys Kagami Taiga and Kise Ryota, Homestuck hotshots Aradia Megido and Sollux Captor, Rise!TMNT's very own Raph and April, and in the semis they battled and absolutely destroyed Thomas Sanders' Roman and Janus by a whopping 74.8!

Will the giant transforming robot twins come out on top, or will Grimmons take down one final foe and earn a title that would make Grif furious? Good luck to both of our finalist duos! And please, for the sake of myself and your fellow voters, be courteous in the notes.

Hide & Seek references compendium

I put so many little easter eggs and hidden things in my Hide and Seek fic, so here is my little ongoing list of references I purposefully put in the fic for those of you who like this kind of thing idk man

Chapter 1, Disney's Hercules: "Hey, Mack! Ya wanna buy a sundial?" Disney's Jungle Cruise: “Trader Sam’s! Come shop at Trader Sam’s! He’ll give you a great deal on shrunken heads! Two of his heads for one of yours!” the Holmes Hotel, Hugh's Pies is a reference to Nickelodeon's Jimmy Neutron series, Lilo's Stitches and Embroidery is a nod to Disney's Lilo and Stitch, "Crusty the Crab" is a nod to Spongebob Squarepants, Chell's Portal Stop is a reference to the game series Portal, and the final scene is from the ROTTMNT episode "Hidden City's Most Wanted".

Though this is not technically a reference or Easter egg, I wanted to add this note… I made a point of referring to Splinter as Lou Jitsu when he was mad or angry or selfish, and as Hamato Yoshi when he was scared or sad.

Chapter 2, Leo's determination to have Raph call him "the world's greatest ninja" is a reference to the film, Leo's quote "Land safely!" is taken from the episode "Mystic Mayhem" as well as the episode "The Evil League of Mutants", Leo's complaining to be leader is a nod to his future role, Raph referring to his father as a "sewer monster" is a reference to the episode "Man vs. Sewer", Splinter has a flashback from the episode "Goyles, Goyles, Goyles" and the line "OW! Why, you little--!" is also taken from that same episode.

Chapter 3, Mikey's dream is obviously a nod to all that he will do in the future.

Chapter 4, The origin of Lace Face from the episode "Man vs. Sewer".

Chapter 5, Phineas and Ferb "Escape from Phineas Tower": "That's some mole!" The line "Raph! Your enormous body is crushing me!!” is a reference to Disney's Lilo and Stitch, "sweater town" is a reference to the Gravity Falls episode "The Hand that Rocks the Mabel", the line "I didn't want to believe it, but... *sigh* science." is taken directly from the ROTTMNT film as well as a moment when Leo mentions that Donnie was wrong, Donnie uses two really's, a reference from the episode "Breaking Purple", Donnie gives Leo the comic seen in the episode "Jupiter Jim Ahoy!"

Chapter 6, Splinter's tv flips through several channels which include clips from media. These include a Thomas Sanders vine with "Weatherman Al", the quote "My leg!" from Spongebob Squarepants, part of the Fairly Odd Parents' theme song, Mrs. Cuddles' catchphrase "Let's be friends forever!", "I've got bad feeling about this" is a quote from Star Wars, the fake show about "Goosey" is an easter egg to @gooeseyleo and her Gooseyleo series. When Leo goes onstage, he does "a few improvised dance moves", which is a nod to Ben Schwartz and some dance moves he did in the Netflix improv comedy special "Middleditch and Schwartz”. The Lou Jitsu play the boys perform is a parody of the Godzilla franchise and the Pacific Rim films. Donnie's line "I strive for accuracy" is a reference to @sleepis4theweak 's comic (which I think about every gosh darn day), Horsebot-3000 and Splinter's line "I liked Horsebot-3000" are references to the show Community, season 3 episode 7: "Studies in Modern Movement".

Chapter 7, in the illustration Leo and Donnie are wearing Transformer and Decepticon t-shirts, respectively, and in the background you can see spray paint that spells out "Atomic Lass", as well as a drawing of the turtles' weapons.

Chapter 8, a young BEBOP AND ROCKSTEADY make an appearance, as does a very young Harvey Hokum from the ROTTMNT comics. When Bebop tries to sell Leo, he calls him “Shelly”, a reference to my pet turtle of the same name. In the illustration you can see a goldfish on the shelf, which is meant to be Piebald.

Chapter 9, How It's Made, APRIL O'NEIIIIILLLL, Harvey Hokum, Warren Stone and Kendra are referenced, "Operation Blue Suede Shoes" contains the title of a song, a reference to how in the show there are several similar code-names used for the characters ("Purple Rain" for Donnie, "Yellow Submarine" for April, etc.) Leo says that Mikey has empathy amplified, a reference to the fanfiction of the same name written by @filsa-mek on AO3.

Chapter 10, the boys watch "Wallace and Gromit: Curse of the Were-Rabbit". Leo promises to never leave Raphael alone and to always find him. Raph offers several scenarios that actually happen in the future where Leo searches for Raph - sewer monsters (a reference to the episode Man Vs. Sewer), getting captured by bad guys (the episode Bug Busters), and aliens attacking (the events of the film). The chapter as a whole is also based off of a few sketches I made - one of which shows the boys watching the film with Splinter, and one where Raph has a bad dream and wakes up to seeing he hurt Leo, who offers to help and gets the bros together for a turtle pile.

Chapter 11, the episode is heavily inspired by an episode of the audio drama series Adventures in Odyssey, specifically the episode "Mandy's Debut". The line "Wow, the shortcake of death" is a reference taken from said same episode! During Leo's flashback, a reference to the meme "She knocked that smug look off my face, but fourtunately I had a smaller smug look underneath" when Leo takes off his sunglasses to reveal a cooler pair of sunglasses underneath. Leo and Raph make a note to the fact that Leo is not the eldest in this universe.

Chapter 12, Raph, Leo, and Mikey teach April a game they play in the episode "Late Fee". When using sign language, Donnie tells Leo to "Stop yelling at me", which is inspired by a moment in Spy Kids 4. April introduces Raph to Ghostbear's starting career. Mikey repeats a line from the episode "Bug Busters", which is "Remind me not to ask questions anymore." Mikey uses the phrase "hydrate or die-drate", which is taken from a meme but is also something I say constantly as well. When in the Hidden City, Splinter hears people calling out to customers, one uses the lyrics to the Fairly Odd Parents' theme song, another is selling Mary Poppins' umbrella, a third is selling the three mystery journals from Gravity Falls, the fourth is selling Cinderella's glass slippers, and the last one is selling the Stanley Parable bucket of reassurance. Ochimizu is a Japanese mythical elixir of eternal life. The introduction and origins of Loathsome Leonard and the Mud Dogs. Malicious Mickey uses the "creepy doctor" line from "Stuck on You".

Chapter 13, Donnie delirium is directly based off of my own experiences with delirium, as well as his and Leo's conversation about whether or not Leo would miss him when he dies (which was an actual conversation I had with my mother when I was sick with croup as a little girl). The second half of that conversation was adapted from a scrapped fic called "The Kids Are All Dying". Donnie references the song "Big Yellow Taxi". The seven-tailed fox comes from Japanese folklore, but specifically this one was a reference to Naruto! Mikey sings the first line of the "Wonderfilled" song by Owl City. The secret ingredient being a discontinued soda was inspired by the ending of the musical "Be More Chill". The toad yokai becomes Heinous Green.

Short story, in the illustration you can see several signatures and sketches on Leo's cast, such as Raph signing "Mad Dawgs" and Mikey drawing his stickers. On the wall behind Leo is an eye exam that has the words "RISE" and "PHOEBE" on it. There's also a computer monitor in the back with Leo's vitals on it, as well as a notification about the trackers, and a list of all Hamatos Donnie tagged.

Morning and nightly rituals: you and raph!

Send one for the Mun and Muse to have a conversation comparing...

(Okay, so again I'm going to be doing this like self-insert style. I'm this one veering slightly further from my reality bc there aren't many opportunities someone as quiet as me would wind up talking to Raph. Also the way I led the first one off from the explanation meant I wound up doing it in first person, so I've done the same here for consistency's sake)

"UghhhhhHH we're still not cleared??"

"You think it was even smoke?"

"It's okay, sweetie, we'll be back inside soon."

"What is Taking so long?"

"If this is a prank and we've been stood out in the cold over it I'm going to be so mad. I swear, I will Kill whoever did this if this is a prank."

I glance over my shoulder looking for the source of that last voice.

"Not with those arms."

It's the man standing to my left I look at next. He, like me now, turns back to face front, an expression somewhere between tired and... smug? Difficult to say for sure out here; The street lights were terrible in this part of town. I glance back- it had been an odd thing to hear the man mumble to himself, but he was right. That girl's arms were practically noodles- and not the thick egg noodles. Although, this was America, so...

"Maybe she has a gun." I reply, not really thinking, and his gaze turns to me. God this man has the icy stare down pat. "Just saying..." I add with much less confidence. I don't look directly at him until I see his head turn back again.

He had on the most wrinkled, scruffy grey shirt on, sweatpants, and bare feet. 'Jesus his feet must be cold' I thought to myself. I mean, I could judge my own sleepwear- my pyjama bottoms have pineapples all over them for god's sake. But at least I managed to throw my warm little boot-slippers on. And not... What he apparently took the time to carry out under his arm.

"Why do you have a pillow?" I ask, perhaps unwisely. This time, he doesn't even look at me. Just gruffly replies, "for sleeping."

"Out here, I mean. Why did you bring it outside?"

"I don't have to answer to you." Now I get an even sharper stare from him. This guy is kind of intense.

"Okay," I sort of squeal out. Gotta pull my voice back down. "Little defensive over a question.. We all do slightly odd things when we're half asleep, I guess."

He sort of gives off this, half-groan, half-sigh and says, "I wasn't."

"What?"

"There's awake, and there's asleep. There's no such thing as half."

"Oh I beg to differ." I turn away a little, eyes off anywhere but him, but keep talking anyways. "I wind up there all the time. Like, when I first wake up in the mornings- I keep notes, so if I wake up at like, 4am, I want to write that down, and I try. But then when I wake up for real- I remember what I wrote, but I look at it and it's just gibberish. It's like, I gave my hand the right instructions, it couldn't do it, and my brain believes it when it goes 'yeah we So wrote that thing, don't even worry about it!'" .... "'cus I was half asleep still."

There's a second or so of silence, then, the man speaks. A little quieter than before. "Why do you write down when you wake up?" Aha! There's something other than contempt on his face now- confusion! A chink in the armour! I fight the urge to smile a little and instead focus on his question.

"I have this..." ah shit, I hate explaining all this crap to strangers. How do I do this... "It started as a pacing thing when I got sick a few years back. You're s'posed to write down everything you do, then figure out how much energy it all took so you can kinda plan your day out better, space out the high-demand activities. And it became a habit. I write down everything I do. Like-" I pull out my phone from the pocket of my fluffy, hooded dressing-gown, and point the screen at him. "See?" and bring it back so I can see it again. "Right now it says 'standing in the cold because the fire alarm went off, why does it connect to the whole building, I want to sleep.'" I hear a tiny sound that might have meant amusement.. or a sniff. "But before that I've noted when I started and stopped watching YouTube, what time I went to bed, then when I started and stopped playing a game... And now, this."

"In that order?" Good, he still looks confused.

"Yeah. I can't sleep right away, unless I'm like, really Really Reeaally tired. So I just, write messages or, put a little phone game on like, bitlife or something, or I get my switch out. And then, once I'm starting to fall asleep, I put it away, lay down and, I'm off."

"So the whole, screens before bed thing..."

"Utter crap." I respond. Then, backtrack. "I mean, it's probably good advice for most people, but, I find it way easier to fall asleep if I have something like that to do."

"I knew it." The man sort of half mumbles, half whispers, and then, "HEAR THAT?" He yells off to the side. "YOUR SLEEP GUIDES ARE CRAP, JAKE!" I stand there, eyes wide (at least, for me), sort of slightly leaning away from him. Oops. What have I gotten myself in the middle of? "That's my roommate. He's An Ass." he says slightly louder, but thankfully not yelling again. "I haven't been great sleep-wise, so this ass decides to Creep into my room, and steal the lightbulb from my lamp, because ApPaReNtLy it's bad for me to have a light on or to Read in bed. It doesn't make a damned difference, but now, I've gotta go buy a lightbulb tomorrow."

"Ah." It goes quiet again.. there's a lot there I could reply to. "He Does sound like an arse." I settle on. "Even if it IS bad for you, he shouldn't be taking your stuff."

"Thank you!!" He shouts again, leaning around behind me a little. "SHE gets it, Jake! Quit taking my crap!"

"I have a Child here you know" a woman somewhere behind us pipes up, prompting a "Great, you can butt out together." from the grouchy man. This time, I can't not snigger, though I try to stifle any sound. True, swearing in front of kids probably isn't really 'okay'.. but that was funny. Thank god she can't see my face.

"Sounds like you need a lock on the door." I continue casually.

"Eh.. Locks mean keys, and keys mean one more thing I gotta do before I can sleep or get to work."

"Well, yeah, but it would keep him out."

"Nah. It's hard enough to drag myself from one to the other as it is. And coffee does Not help, I don't care what anyone says. That crap is not a good start. Getting to cook a little breakfast, maybe."

I chuckle a little. The idea that Doing Things would make a morning start easier is an alien one to me, but mostly, the way he talks about coffee is amusing. That little crinkle in his nose as if he can smell it right now.

"Besides", he continues, "Every time he takes something outta my room, I get to take somethin from his." With something that looks like glee in his eyes, the man lifts the pillow under his arm just enough for me to see, and briefly raises his eyebrows. No, no way. I lean forward slightly, raising my own brows and getting a little smug smile in return. "Well. I think he's going to notice that at least~"

"That's the plan."

The people at the edge of our little crowd begin to shift, and the rest try to peek around. "It's okay, all clear!"

"False alarm, folks!"

"Oh thank god." I breathe a sigh of relief. "I need to be asleep so bad right now." As we too start taking steps back toward the lobby, and finally into the warm, I look up at the man beside me. "Well, it was nice meeting you. I hope your roommate learns his lesson this time~"

He gets one foot on the stairs inside and shrugs. "That'd be a first." He heads up the stairs, and as he and the stolen pillow turn the corner, I smile to myself and roll my eyes, reaching for the key in my pocket.

There were some interesting people living here.

so I've received a request for a Yandere Bully, and since rn I'm already working on other requests as well, I'm thinking of using OCs that I intended to publish stuff for, but never did.

which OCs am I talking about? well, you've heard of them before, specifically in Yan!Spirit (Raph), and they are in fact, two of his brothers. Richard, and Gabe.

You've already been introduced to Gabe, so let me tell you more about Richard.

Richard is the eldest son of the Shepherd Family and is also the one with toxic masculinity, 'alpha male' personality, as well as a heaping dose of homophobia :) not only for others, but also for himself! this is seen in how Thomas ran away from home, out of the hate he received from Richard, as well as what I'd consider a very traumatizing experience, that Richard directly participated in.

Now, I won't be giving any spoilers for what kind of yandere he is, but just be warned, he'll probably be worse than Gabe, who despite having murdered Raph is actually just very insecure and not that bad.

Gabe, as we've already established, is very insecure, but he's also short-tempered, competitive, and can be very cold and ruthless if need be, seen in how he threatens Junior to keep the body a secret.

He's got less toxic masculinity, at least in comparison to Richard, does have the standard amount of homophobia most people have in his era, but doesn't go out of his way to be discriminatory like Richard.

I'd just like you guys to vote which one you'd like me to use for the Yandere Bully, or if you want me to make a completely new OC
