things have been going fairly well, except that food is WAY more pricey than i expected and we're waiting on the old house to sell before we really have a good safety net to fix the many issues with this house. i'm basically buying all the food for myself and my two housemates right now, and while my parents are ensuring we dont starve, one meal a day isnt exactly the best thing in the world for anyone.

my appointment to get my state id isn't til the end of the month, so i havent even been able to consider things like job hunting. the ideal is that i get a desk soon and can at least have a computer setup for remote work and streaming, but that could take weeks. in the meantime, i'm relying on external support until we get this house fixed up.

My insurance is attached to my license, which I need for my income. I cannot not pay this. I already got approved for a second credit card with a tiny line (were talking 200 after I paid the fee), but this is a rinkydink little credit card company that can’t be bothered to give me digital access for the card while I wait for the physical card (Stone Age much???). This is just my IMMEDIATE need, I don’t have my minimum met for Lyft yet this week, so nothing I make is going towards this yet, and I’m doubtful I’ll manage to pull $162 worth of dog walks while actively trying to pull drives. Provided I can get this paid, I’m still going to need to pay 220 to storage next week, and get on top of my truck being fixed. I’m working crazy hours and have been walking 6-9 miles a day dog walking when I’m not driving. If I can’t get my truck fixed, I need at least enough to pay for a week’s rate in a motel so I can start that in march if it comes down to it.

mutual aid request for nonbinary, queer couple

I hate to talk about myself with what’s going on in the world and to ask for help but times are tough and if I want to help the world one day like I plan to I have to survive to be able to do so. the last year and a half has been really hard. My health has taken a turn for the worse and as such I have tried and failed to keep multiple jobs.

I have a spine injury and suffer from chronic pain, and I also have chronic fatigue as a result of chronic stress reactivating the Epstein-Barr virus in my body many times in my life. I also suffer from pre menstrual dysphoric disorder, and a host of mental health conditions including PTSD, insomnia, anxiety, and depression. Other people I suspect that I am likely neurodivergent as well. I have multiple university degrees but I am currently too sick to work. I had a good job working at an academy but was railroaded and fired for my mental health at a time when my employers knew I wouldn’t be able to fight for my rights. I worked a job I loved at a forest school, but was being evicted whilst working there, and was let go for how my mental health whilst fighting eviction was coming out at work. I also fell at work at the forest school and fractured multiple ribs and my sternum, which are still healing. After losing that job, I attempted to get a job outside of my field and fell on the way to work, injuring my tailbone and causing flare ups with my pre existing spine injury. I dealt with eviction for months and got through it by the skin of my teeth because the property I was living in changed agencies, with the letting agency forcing my partner and I to share one bedroom because they deemed us not worthy of our own spaces because we did not know any homeowners who could have co signed our rental agreement. They have squeezed four people into a two bedroom flat, but nowhere else would take us because my previous letting agency my reputation was being affected by the eviction process, because of discrimination based on earnings, and because the agency previously managing the property I live in has stolen between £700 and £800 from me and left me in financial ruin.

I have been deemed by the government as too sick to work and not needing to look for work, but cannot survive on the benefits I am receiving, and am repeatedly being denied financial aid by the government for being too sick to work. Before Christmas, I had my final appeal for my Personal Independence Payment and was again denied. My partner is autistic, and suffers from a host of mental illnesses including PTSD, anxiety, depression, and anorexia. They are also deemed as too sick to work at present by the government.

We are both nonbinary, queer people who are struggling a lot in our current circumstances.

I have an MRI tomorrow to hopefully find out more about what is wrong with me, but I need to try to find some work, because I have negative no money and so does my partner. But I’m too sick to work, though I might be able to more than they can right now.

4 days until I’m gonna be in my truck with my three dogs until the 27th at minimum (I have been prepaid for dogwalking work I needed the money for- I cannot dip sooner even if I would like to). Boosting will ensure I can leave VA and get into a friends house out of state asap after my prepaid dogwalk work is up and not have to do another stretch of working that here. If it were warmer I wouldn’t give a shit cuz we all like the outdoors and I can work remotely with more than one job but gas is too damn expensive to be running a 98 jeep at night (it’s not stealthy and it’s bad for the engine to boot), and I haven’t had the time or funds to properly rig it for winter living due to paying for a Lyft rental car weekly to meet all my bills and continue working which has been a barely keeping my nose above water situation. The jeep still needs a lot to be done to be truly trustworthy after sitting for a year before driving long distance so I need to drive as little as possible while here during that time. I literally have a room waiting for us and a place I won’t have to worry about having three dogs with me, it’s a matter getting from point a to b since my dad says I’m not allowed to move with him and his lease ends on the 18th (the joys of him not liking my dogs or the fact I’m loudly enby).

I don’t like receiving help for nothing and I hate that I’m in the position to even have to ask, so if you want a sketch or need some help with remote dog training, please include in a message on ko-fi or here.
