I will preface this by saying I am going to miss a ton of writers, bc I'm doing this one real quick and I'm quite dumb lmaoo I hope to make a whole fic rec blog but I keep getting busy :( so this list is not all-inclusive but just what comes to mind and I encourage y'all to recommend me stuff too!!

The bulk of this list is just going to be authors whose masterlist I plow through regularly but if I have a specific series of theirs I like the most I will try to link it! (Also sorry to anyone Tumblr doesn't let me tag correctly!)

I'm also lucky enough to have a lot of people on this list as mutuals which I'm super thankful for!! I appreciate all of you (mutuals or not) so much for sharing your talents in the form of beautiful works!

@rapline-heaux comes to mind first, pls read their stuff OMG!! The College Au and Possess Your Heart is beautiful and she's also super great in general!

@purpleyoonn is someone I just started reading from and Petrichor is nothing short of life-changing!! I'm making my way through her masterlist rn and ugh I LOVE IT

@jjungkookislife is someone I rediscovered and they are unbelievably talented also their new series Envolver has me by the throat lmao

@jiminiesfavouritecolourisblue you all already know how much I love Blue, it is and will continue to be soulmate behavior the way all of their fics have me in a chokehold! I just finished their Office hybrid au and am salivating for the third part but their whole masterlist has me on my KNEES

This is just a place where I will come to post the fics that I love and am currently reading or have read in the past that I continue to re-read from time to time. I have had asks in the past of people wondering what im reading or what my favorite fics are so here you guys go🥰

Filtering Light by @sybilwriting

pairing: park jimin x reader x jeon jungkook

summary: the reader is a bunny hybrid with a past that has left her traumatized and struggling to heal. some things can be helped with therapy, but some things can only be fixed through realizing you’re not all of the things that hurt you—you are, in fact, just loved.

- I am not sure if the author is continuing with this story or not, but what they do have written is amazing! I love the way the author writes, it tugs at my heartstrings. The descriptions the author includes helps you to visualize almost everything so easily, its like actually being in the story. Hybrid mc pining and crushing on Jungkook in the beginning is so cute that my soul practically melted when reading it for the first time.

Dance To This/Call Me Yours Series by @hollyhomburg

Dance To This: Seokjin didn’t expect his new potential owner to be blind, but with the threat of being sent to a breeding clinic looming over his head, he’ll do anything.

Call Me Yours: You were happy with your life, with your loving relationship with your hybrids, Namjoon, and Yoongi. But you never would have imagined that more love was hidden right next door, just over your garden fence. Not that human Hoseok will ever get the courage to confess his feeling for you anyway. His hybrids, however- starry-eyed bunny Jungkook, Bratty calico cat Jimin, and shy tiger Taehyung- don’t have any problem at all.

- I just have a soft spot for this authors fics. They always seem to be found when I need them most. The relationship builds slowly but is so sweet to read. It starts with Jin being adopted by the blind mc, and while it is kind of a gradual slow build...the wait is worth it. This is definitely one of my comfort fics.

Choco Bun by @nunchiimagines

Pairing: ceo!mythical hybrid!bts x poc!curvy!hybrid!coffee shop owner!reader

Summary: When you moved to Korea after finishing college to continue pursuing latte art and baking, the last thing you were expecting was to open up your very own coffee shop under BTS Corp, Korea’s biggest entertainment service company for idols, models, singers, and more. Thanks to your hard work, creativity, and approachable personality you managed to become friendly with some pretty big named individuals as well as up and coming talent. As exciting and fun as it was for you, you slowly began to realize how much your 7 bosses weren’t particularly fond of this, acts of jealousy, pettiness, and aggression poking through in the most unsuspecting of ways. But what could 7 big named dragons want with a little foreign bunny?

- This fic had me hooked from the very beginning. Like dragon bts with a curvy poc mc?? GOLD. Everything about this fic is a tease, and the author writes the teasing/pining relationship so well. The author builds the relationship between the boys and the mc with the perfect amount of comfortability and pining(which is like, my favorite thing).

Their human mate by @isthiswhatithinkitis (also on ao3 under the same name)

Pairing: Hybrid!BTS x Chubby reader

Summary: You work in a bookstore you own and live in the apartment right above the shop, it's a good thing that you own the building! You have your grandparents' passing to thank for that, not that it's a joyful event, you just owe them the life you now live.Now that you live alone, you have a lot of love to give but no one to give it to and it can be hard sometimes, that is, until you meet a cat in the street. Not just any cats but a hybrid it seems, a big fluffy Maine Coon that starts following you as soon as you meet eyes and its own shine purple. It's a good thing that you got more chicken than usual today because of the day's promotions, you'll have one more person to feed from now on, not that you mind, it's exciting to you, especially when the human version of the hybrid calls you his mate! It should stop there, yet these hybrids that claim you as theirs just pop out of nowhere one after the other and goodness, were hybrids always so horny?!

- this brings out just like, a warm feeling whenever I read it. I love reading fics with a plus sized mc, and when they aren’t particularly bothered by it. I love the developing dynamics between he boys and the mc, and I can’t wait to see how the author brings in the other boys and how their presence changes the already ever-changing dynamic within the mc’s home.

Supernatural:

Before I Leave You by @hollyhomburg

Summary: Someone always has to leave first; They just didn’t expect Yoongi to come back with a new omega (who’s clearly been through some shit).

- This story continues to completely rip at my heartstrings in the best way possible. Every twist and turn leads to more emotions and absolute happy tears from my end. This is my absolute comfort fic and helps me when I’m having a bad day and need to feel smol. Everything about this fic resonates so deep within me that I truly wish I could hug this author and tell them all about my feelings of bily.

If you want to be absolutely torn down and built back up (in the best most sweetest way possible) please read this fic!

Best Of Us by @bts-trash-blog

Paring: Rap Line X Fem!Chubby OmegaReader

- Yet again, I truly love the representation of chubby!readers within fanfics as they are kind of hard to find. This author does a really good job of depicting the struggles I feel an omega chubby!reader would face within the werewolf au. This fic also features an omega Namjoon which is something I have yet to see, and I absolutely enjoy the way the author writes him.

Alpha Goes First (KSJ) by @hollyhomburg

poly!bts x reader but work is centered around Jin

Summary: Each pack has its own set of traditions and standards and as the newest omega in bangtan’s pack- you have more than a few things to learn. things come to a head when the youngest alpha tries to breed you before your pack alpha does. Seokjin doesn’t like that one bit.

This was one of the first things I had first read when getting into the poly fic world for bts, and I quickly became obsessed. The author does such a wonderful job of building the angst between the characters that you can truly feel the anguish of the mc at times. The visualizations are amazing and breathe so much life into the fic. If you like dom!Jin, I recommend this.

Rose & Thorns by @minniepetals

Paring: dragon!bts x reader

Summary: a lone rose, a little broken, until Jungkook came along and the two of you saved each other. and in doing so, Jungkook showed you a world where he shared with his six other mates.

- Despite the intensity (the good kind) of the series, it is such a sweet and wholesome kind of thing that you cannot rush through. Each scene has so much thought put into it, that you almost have to reread the entire chapter when done to make sure you don't miss anything. This is definitely a series you can get lost in and not regret it in any way. The relationship between the mc and Jungkook is “no holding back” and is the sweetest kind of love to read about.

Of Fire and Love by @hollyhomburg

Pairing: Dragon!Yoongi x Human Reader

Summary: When Dragon Yoongi finds baby Jungkook in the wreckage of a house he burned down, he can’t bring himself to kill the child. Months after someone drops a baby at your door, you start to notice something- or someone, lurking at the edge of your farm. Why does the man you catch glimpses of have horns?

- This is my absolute comfort fic, the one that I come to when I am having an awful day or just need some reassurance. I can’t even begin to explain my love for the author’s writing and world building. Everything about this fic is beautiful and so incredibly well done. Every time I read it, I feel as though I am actually within the story, with possessive dragon!yoongi holding me close.

Iridescent Love by @imnotlauriane

Pairing: wolf!bts x human/wolf!reader

Summary: From a fated meeting to a life filled with wonders, the path of discovery is much, much harder than what I had prepared myself for. Especially when my identity, the only one I knew of ends up being a total lie.

- i didn’t even realize that this fic was on Tumblr until a couple weeks ago when ive been reading it and loving it on ao3. The absolute genius plot and storyline makes my heart crumble and rebuild itself every chapter. I love. going back through and re-reading it while I wait for the next chapters release. While there is some dark underlying themes to the story, it truly is a sweet and heartfelt moment after moment kind of book.

Yearning For You by @imnotlauriane

Pairing: vampire!bts x vampire!reader

Summary: Watching everyone around me meeting their fated, their mate, seeing the yearning in their gaze as they stare at each other, I want that too, so dearly, whoever they are, I would love them without hesitation, with all of my heart.

- Another fic I began to read on ao3 that I didn’t realize was also on Tumblr. This fic has the perfect amount of pining and angst and omg the fluff. The plot so far is gripping and I can already begin to see hints of foreshadowing as I go back and reread. I really can’t wait to see what comes next for the mc and the boys.

The Comforts of Creatures by @interesting-interludes

Pairing: ot7 x fem.reader

Summary: you’re a prisoner here, but you can’t remember why. you can’t remember much of anything. not where you came from, not who you are, not even what you are. what happens when a pack of terrifying monsters breaks into the facility where you’re being held. not to kill you, but to…protect you?

- I love the premise of this. The first chapter drew my attention immediately! I love the way the author writes the angst and trauma the mc is going through, and is able to draw a picture in my head of what is going on. Like you’re in the scene as it’s happening. I also love that the boys aren’t the stereotypical creatures, the descriptions depicting otherworldly beings or types of demons. I’m super excited to see where this goes!

Finding A Place by @LittleShyGirl and @orphan_account on ao3

Pairing: Poly!BTS x reader with some centering around Yoongi

Summary: As an isolated, lonely omega raised by humans, you have little understanding of how other wolves live. When you take a promotion to become a member of the BTS staff, your world collides with the Bangtan Pack and you realise you have a lot to learn.This is an OT7/YN fic, with a Yoongi/YN focus.

- This is one of my comfort fics and I often find myself going back and re-reading it when im in need of the comfort. There is a lot of trauma healing and mentions of abuse. Please remember to read the tags and warnings. I love the way the author/s write the bond building and growing between the boys and the mc. How it isn’t just all the boys immediately going for the mc. Their is time to build their bonds.

-There is a second part to this already and I highly recommend both works!

Yandere:

The Household Bunny by @bibbykins

Summary: You were a cam girl and OnlyFans creator all the while you were a senior in college. A series of events leads you to be living with seven men under the same roof of one renovated motel. Entering the life of rich, and touch starved, men as a less than rich, but similarly touch starved, woman is bound to hold some shenanigans

- (I actually really enjoy going back and re-reading through the drabbles within these “series” and tend to go back through this when I’m feeling like cagey and anxious. I can relate to the mc a lot and enjoy reading about chubby characters)

- This is a mature fic and not recommended for anyone under 18. Please adhere to the warnings the author has set out. The content is explicit and not appropriate for anyone younger than the above age.

Non!Idol Au:

Once, Forever by @imnotlauriane

Pairing: NamJin x reader

Summary: “We let you leave once, but now we’re keeping you forever”.“Please, we worked so hard to change for you, come back?”.

- The absolute heart wrenching first chapter drew me in. I am a huge sucker for angst, as you all should know by now, and was immediately drawn in by the mc (spoiler) leaving when she didn’t need to. I can already tell the boys are going to be absolutely feral in their need to protect and care for the mc, especially knowing how she lived the past years within the fic after leaving. Another amazing story by @imnotlauriane.

Soulmate Au:

Plato’s a Dick by @2seokLove4me and @Za_Alek on ao3

Pairing: Poly!BTS x MC

Summary: BTS as we know them in a Soulmate AU. Soul mates are identified by a mark on the left inner wrist. Most soul marks appear from puberty to age 25. Soul marks can be triggered by life events. Life is full of surprises and challenges. What happens when a mature (50 years old) American wakes up in South Korean, in a body age regressed to 25. Soulmate bonded to the biggest musicals act on the planet? How will her family react? How will she balance her past with the new future? Life is never what we expect but this is asking a bit much. The Universe has a keen sense of humor. How do the members of BTS react?

- Where do I begin with this? I am completely hooked on this fic and the idea around it. I have yet to see a fic where the soulmate bond is between bts and an older woman (albeit aged down for the bond). I love how realistic the relationship dynamic is and that everything is a continued learning process. This is my current comfort fic!

Pairing: Poly!BTS x Mc

Summary: Everybody has a soulmate - that one person that is meant for you. Problem is, you don’t know who your soulmate is until after you touch for the first time. Some people go their whole lives without meeting their soulmate, and Rae Lee Bang thinks she will be one of them. What happens when Rae bumps into the 7 most famous idols in the world and discovers that she has not only one soulmate, but 7? (set in an alternate timeline where the pandemic never happened, the MOTS tour happened & their little break happened)

- yet again, I love the dynamics between the boys and the mc. the introduction of the mc as the little sister to Bang Chan was also a cool touch! Their is some trauma the mc has, but im glad that she is open with the boys, and they are able to help her begin to work through it. I am looking forward to what the author has planned!
