i see so many posts on this site being like "i want someone who is obsessed with me" "get me a partner who will smother me" "i need you to want to crawl inside my skin" etc etc etc but what about those of us who want to lovingly sit near each other without speaking and just exist with each other? what about those of us who aren't very traditionally romantic but still crave intimacy? those of us who wont remember to text you 24/7 or always be okay with touching or talking but still have so much love in our hearts and want to be able to express that in our own way? those of us who hate most romcoms because theyre too cheesey and sappy but would be delighted to watch some dumb comedy or a movie thats so-bad-its-good so we can make fun of it the whole time?

i consider myself a romantic, but my version of romance is so far off from what ive seen anyone else talk about, but i Know i cant be alone in this. so if youre a non-romantic romantic, just know you are worthy of love and if i can manage to find not one but Two partners who love me for who i am and my lack of traditional romance, then so can you

Nonromantic

Nonromantic - Literally "not romantic". Someone who is indifferent to or unconcerned with romance.

Nonromantic individuals may not necessarily be Aromantic or Apothiromantic as they can still experience romantic attraction and aren't always romance-repulsed. Still, Nonromantic falls under the Arospec umbrella as a microlabel.

The dark pink represents romance, the light pink represents dwindling feelings of romantic desire, the black represents complete lack of romantic interest, the grey represents indifference towards romance, and the white represents a lack of concern toward romance. I was inspired by the aromantic and apothiromantic flags.

Regrettably i think I’m obsessed with the idea of love. Not in a sweet or whimsical way, but the way a drowning man is obsessed with land, like a dying fire is obsessed with fuel. It is unattainable and destructive and i would let it peel my skin from my bones if only to feel its proximity. It’s okay that it’s not for me, but also what if it was? Who do I become in the wake of being loved?

The Order of the Pure Moon Reflected in the Water by Zen Cho ⭐⭐⭐⭐

This is a short little Novella by Zen Cho. The description and the artwork on the cover really attracted me to this little book. At the time of reading it, I had a long wait at the Rheumatologist's office (yay auto-immune diseases) So I powered through this one in a long ass wait because the hospital uses all paper like we're back in the 1980s. It's a hoot. Anyway, this book is short and was surprisingly QUEER! I was not expecting queer but I appreciate it. The only drawback to this book is the occasional horrible line editing (and there's a bit of it) and the fact it's feels short and incomplete. I am going to look into Cho's other works because despite the errors, this was actually a really jaunty and fun read. I loved the world-building and the characters. I'm hoping to see more of this universe and maybe more or less of these characters in her other short stories. Anyway, I would probably skip the physical edition of this book (the binding leaves... a lot to be desired, If I'm honest) and get a digital edition of this if I had to purchase it again. Overall, I would give it a solid 4/5 stars.

life series team dynamic: Just Some Guys

here’s a thing you could try doing (if you want to) the Hazbin hotel gang with seraphim child reader who somehow appeared in hell after the ep 8 battle.

the gang now has to look and protect this child since others could use them for their own means with the power the kid has and for some reason they can’t go to heaven… almost like they have a purpose here in hell

A/N: This is probably going to get a part 2, I'm a little invested in where this could go! It's probably gonna get turned into a little series with a plot.

With a child seraphim i really don't see one knowing what hell even is yet. Sure, they would tell them about it, but definitely wouldn't know what it is. Or alcohol, or curse words or anything vulgar really. I hope you enjoy!

Character: General

Type: Fic (Nonromantic, Plot-centric,Hotel staff/residents with seraphim child!reader, General)

It was an honest mistake. You really hadn't meant to, but Emily and Sera were starting to argue again, something that had been happening often since that nice Charlie girl you had met at the zoo came and gone. So you had snuck away. You hated when they argued, they were your family. Family shouldn't fight, ever, you had decided early on.

Curious, you continue on towards the portal. You investigated, peering through to see a strange place bathed in red, you saw a broken building, something that reminded you of something one your brothers had shown you from the human world. War, you thought it was called. Something horrible that humans thought up to hurt each other.

You hated when people were hurt. You wanted to get closer and help anyone who might be hurt, even if your powers hadn't fully come in yet.

Then an idea came to your mind! You could ask your brothers to help! They would know exactly what to do! With this in mind, you attempted to return back through the portal, only to be pushed back by some invisible force.

Wait... What? Why wouldn't it let you back in?

Then it happened. You were still a young Seraphim, your wings weren't super strong yet, and as you peered down at the red place your wings gave out. Luckily, your brothers and sisters had trained you in case something like that happened! You were able to slow your descent, at least enough for it not to hurt when you finally landed.

So you started to make your way to the pretty, large building on the hill with a sign that read Hazbin Hotel. Though the building didn't seem quite finished yet, it was still really pretty. Odd, hadn't it just been all broken?

As you pushed your way in through the heavy doors, you saw three people over at a tall counter: A cat man with wings cleaning a really small glass, an angel, but she didn't have her wings out, and- Oh no! She seemed to have misplaced her halo, too! That wasn't good! And a pretty pink and white spider-man that was sipping on a pretty looking juice

The pretty spider-man looked over at you and did a spit-take, nearly choking on his juice.

"What the fuck is a kid doing here?" He exclaimed, gesturing at you, fuck? What kind of word was that? No one had taught it to you, and you couldn't remember any of your fellow Seraphim using such a word, either. This seemed to get the other two's attention as they turned to look at you, shocked expressions on their faces.

"What does 'fuck' mean?" You asked, head tilted in confusion looking between each of the strangers. The pretty spider-man looked like he was going to start laughing but the angel next to him hit him hard in the shoulder, only serving to confuse you more.

"Charlie!" Excited, you ran forward, using your wings to jump higher than you would have otherwise, right into her arms. The blonde non-angel caught you with ease.

The princess of hell's eyes widened looking up to find her companions looking just as confused and shocked as she felt.

This wasn't good, not one bit.

ill have peace when people realize that theres barely any romantic implications beyond waifubait with hajime & chiaki in sdr2 (hajime is even like “what is up with this girl” multiple times because she cant hold convo, love her) meanwhile there’s immediately romantic implications between hajime & nagito

hajime and chiaki’s relationship is not inherently romantic beyond it being a boy and a girl who care about each other, and people thinking that needs to be romantic. it makes more sense as an important friendship. because chiaki is important to and cares about ALL of her classmates in the same way.

but ultimately chiaki COULDN’T save hajime. not in dr3. it’s true that a vision of her manages to talk hajime out of his despair in chapter 6. but the REAL chiaki could NOT save him from himself, because she has a fundamental mismatch and doesn’t truly understand his feelings on worthlessness and lack of talent. she has a talent, she even says to him that it’s “harder” to be talented than not, and she’d prefer it. that’s completely ignoring his feelings on the matter.

while it can be argued that dr3 shows more romantic implications between them, it’s also where she’s least compatible and helpful for him. she can’t understand why he’s so upset about talent, so she can’t talk him out of his mindset and prevent him from doing the project. even if she doesn’t know that’s what her words are doing, she still fails.

i won’t say komaeda would talk him out of it, because i don’t think many people could. hajime hates himself deeply enough to become another person, it’s hard to talk anyone out of that mindset. but komaeda understands hajime in a way no one else does - because everyone else in sdr2 is talented, and doesn’t really ride or die for the whole “talented vs untalented” dichotomy, but they don’t not participate in it. 

komaeda isn’t really talented on the other hand, and he even wishes he wasn’t, and treats himself like he isn’t. because he believes he doesn’t deserve the title. just like hinata, he believes strongly in the worth of ultimates and the worthlessness in comparison of those beneath them - like himself and hinata.

komaeda’s worldview is nearly the exact same as hinata’s, just pushed a bit further and a bit more twisted. hinata’s worldview isn’t any more healthy than komaeda’s, either - a healthy worldview doesn’t lead to you lobotomizing yourself. they understand each other in a way no one else in sdr2 can because they both have this inferiority/superiority complex about talent.

that’s why the narrative revolves around them so much. their stories begin and end with each other.

chiaki is important to hajime, yes, but not in any romantic sense. they’re friends. and that’s fine. a male and a female character don’t have to be romantic to be deeply important to each other. danganronpa is not above putting an m/f ship as endgame, this is obvious with naegiri, and if that was ever the intention with hajime and chiaki they would’ve. but instead we see a literal scene where hajime leaves his memory of chiaki behind and moves on from her, as he needs to, as they all need to, carrying her memory with him but not living in the past, and as he leaves her he joins nagito instead.

and this is the FINAL shot of them. to end the series.  i think it’s pretty clear what they intended with this.

essentially, nagito and hajime complete each other. they are soulmates. end of ramble
