Pride is still important because people out there wish they were dead so they don’t have to be gay.

Pride is still important because dickheads out there call us pedos and groomers because we aren’t straight or cis.

Pride is still important because first world countries are trying to strip us of our rights again.

Pride is still important because kids in school get bullied for being queer.

Pride is still important because every day people are hate crimed, thrown out of their homes or even killed for being queer.

Pride is still important because we need to stand together, united, against these horrible thoughts, feelings, people and more.

Pride is still important to me.

i'm tired of cis people, especially cis gays telling trans people that they need to "be nicer" to ignorant and bigoted people when it comes to education about the trans experience and trans people. i was never here to cater to cis people and the cishet norms of society. i'm not gonna "be nice" to people who do not think i am a man. i'm not gonna be nice to people who do not think trans kids deserve medical care. i'm not gonna be nice to people who want to eradicate my whole community. no amount of niceness will make bigots and ignorant people like us and accept us. education always comes first but it gets to a point where there's no more time for education. people do not care and they do not listen. they dont want to understand. they want trans people eradicated and they want trans youth to suffer and die.

LGBTQ+ History Month! - Marsha P. Johnson

It's LGBTQ+ History Month! So lets celebrate by looking at some more historic figures who were part of the LGBTQ+ community! Starting off this month with Marsha P. Johnson! She was an icon, known for her activism in gay rights, particularly on the exclusion of black and trans folk as well as homelessness within the LGBTQ+ community.

But despite her unwavering kindness and the recognition she received for her work in social justice - a lot of which has come after her death - she experienced immense hardship, abuse, discrimination throughout her life and uncertainty surrounding her death. She deserved better. Trans people deserve better.

Given recent events, I feel it necessary to toss this up again. It should be noted that the sentiment is not limited only to the furry community, but to all aspects of society.

If your rally has nazis in it, and you're not kicking them the fuck out, but instead silencing the people who are trying to protest said nazis... guess what, you're at a fucking nazi rally.

Saying “people with uteruses” is NOT erasing women any more than saying “all humans are created equal” is erasing men.

My point is that everyone of every race, religion, sexuality, class and gender belong at pride as long as you aren’t hatful.

This pride month please focus on the real enemies in this world which is governments and horrible people who are trying to strip us of our rights. It is not each other.

Pride doesn’t belong to the backwards thinking people outside or inside the community.

My final comment is that keep other prejudice out of pride. Racism, ablism and any other discrimination dont belong in the world let alone pride.

We need celebrate our differences in this world!! If there were no differences it would be a fuckin boring existence.
