Me, in 10 years.

by a girl, who’s planning, working and dreaming for this life.

I’ve made it.

All my hard work, and dedication has paid off.

I’m finally living the life of peace and stability that I’ve dreamed about since I was a child.

I wake up next to the love of my life, my husband, in a big sprawling home, that we own.

After a lifetime without my father, building a life and legacy with a man of exemplary character, who provided love, security and stability, has been a joy for me.

I go downstairs and greet my children, who have been cared for, loved and provided every opportunity. My heart is full in my chest.

They have no concept of going to bed cold or hungry, stressing as a child about bills or the fighting and anger of a broken home.

Nothing but sweet innocence is in their eyes.

I know that, after having to work since 16 out of necessity, I am a point where my days are full of relaxation and peace after the kids go to school.

After a childhood and many years after of scarcity and uncertainty, I am in awe of the ease that life now brings.

I think of the day ahead of me, and the days behind that it took to get here and I could almost weep from happiness at this life.

I'm working on escaping my current situation. Hiding $50 a week in cash tips before my abusive husband sees it. It's going to take about two years to build up enough to leave. But it's worth it and I can wait. We will be free and I will show my kids what real love looks like.

Why do AAA devs hold back showing key gameplay elements in trailers so much? Sonic Frontiers has had around 4 presentations and has only just now shown the cyberspace levels. But they only showed maybe 6 seconds total compared to the half hour of footage in the hub. A lot of games do this and its extremely frustrating.

Imagine if the marketing team had shared all of Sonic Frontier's features and gameplay elements early on, at the game's announcement. If they had gone over all of the new gameplay elements then, every press and marketing event afterward would be rehashing the same features over and over again. They would see a big surge in interest at the very start, and then it would fall over time because there would be nothing new to see. By the time the game arrived, players would have seen the same features several times in a row and would not necessarily be as excited, especially if competitors were announcing new and cool things about their games in the interim.

Sonic Frontiers is slated for a holiday release date. Between today and November, there is still Comic Con in July, Gamescom in August, and Tokyo Game Show in September. It is likely the Sega marketing team is holding additional reveals back (like the cyberspace levels) for one or more of these events in order to hype players and get more attention closer to the game's release date. In order to maximize sales, the marketing team needs public interest in Sonic Frontiers to peak at or just before the game's release. They do this by building carefully pacing and timing their limited number of new gameplay reveals to grab player interest and get them talking.

Day 2 of trying not to die.

I have watched a ton of "genius-movies" and ngl, seeing them do fast calculations really inspires me to be like them. My dad is super good at calculating too so I have decided that being mentally fast at calculating can't be that bad! So here are my two long-term soft skill goals for now:

Improve my memory as MUCH as I can.

So, I'm in the process of trying to build a PC. This is mostly me trying to move away from having just a laptop as the only place for my important files to be. My laptop hasn't run into any safety or component problems yet, but it is still a laptop. It's basically inevitable.

I am attempting to do this mostly using some money from my IRL job to get the parts, but that'll take a while, and make it harder for me to keep money for anything more important that I *might* be able to use money for, like a car (as unlikely as I believe that is for me to get on my own)

So, IF anybody has anything to spare and wants to help, you can use my Ko-fi page to do that. Right now, I'll need somewhere within the range of $900 to get everything now. Again, this isn't an emergency, and not mandatory for anybody, especially if you don't have much to spare, or any spare at all.
