Ohh the bittys being a more open and vulnerable self of their counterparts is actually a really neat idea. New ways to embrass poor crossy. Lol.
Like i imagine bitty cross just going for the cuddles when he really neads one, butting his little head at the patting Hand or starting to let out cute lil purrs. Everyone looking first shocked then amused and then giving big cross a ratger funny look like saying "want some too?" and cross just looking in mortification.
Or bitty cross trying to take care of them by asking question where they hurt or what he can do to help or giving them things he thinks will help them out? And everyone be like "awww criss cross actually caring about us? How sweet~" and cross just flipping them off with a blush.
Or bitty cross being a good boi trying to help out. At ecample in the kitchen when horror cooks by getting him things he need or watching over that horror doesn't miss the timing in case he gets a memory laps or something. Or bitty cross doing the cutest kitten sneezes and everyone just thinking he cute. Cross never gets a break. And pats, lot of them.
Or bitty cross spending time with nightmare who lets him move his tendrils into a nest to chill in when he feels to warm or tired out or bit sickly. Maybe nm unconciously patting his head, when cross just comes into the office to give his report on a Mission and his mind stops working by watching that scene crumbling into a embrassed mess by his smaller counterpart using nm, his boss, like a cooling pad or something.
Lololol. Cross just being *hiding himself into the void of his hood, a lilac light glowing out* STOP HUGGING ME I DONT NEED CUDDLES! I'M STRONG I CAN DO THINGS ON MY OWN! I'M A SOLDIER, I'M NOT CUTE! LIES I DO NOT LIKE U IDIOTS!" or something along the lines. Maybe. He just shy baby.
I could imagine that the more bitty cross grows on them the others feel compelled to spoil him a lil giving him lil gifts like a cookie or New tiny cool (fluffy) clothes or toys when he bored or idk. Things. Maybe not often but from time to time at least. And perhaps they sometimes play or read him too, spending time with him cuz they actually enjoy being togethet ecen if they fight a lot. And by doing all that, they trying to tell cross he can just be a bit more open. He will get to teased to hell and back. But they want deny if he needs something. They accept him. Cuz at the end of day, as much as they all avoid admitting it and being broken in their own way, they feel as family.
Just some thoughts i had wgen reading ur previous reply. Asdtozitdg they so ADORABLE! Anyway even if u created it just by a whim i'm very happy u did!!! They so cute to play with and thinking about scenarios. Thanks for bringing it to the world. 🥰🥰🥰🤗 i adore them dearly!

i guess the solosis line is sort of a cell
(Sorry this ended up being long but as I was typing I really started thinking about this more and I feel like I ended up going down a rabbit hole and wanted to catalogue my thought process. Context for everyone else, post is here.)
That is true but with it being a psychic type I cannot think of other psychic types that would fit the "dna" or chemical-based theme. (not counting deoxys because it's a special pokemon)
Though with psychic type basically being like, the mystic Literal Psychic type I could probably make some joke here about how there's those new age crystal healers who will be like "you have to activate your ancient angel DNA to reach spiritual enlightenment" but I do NOT want to be associated with that.
I think poison type is a decent enough fit for my tumblr username since it's associated with corrosion and chemical burns, and anything sufficiently alkaline or acidic enough will do that.
Part of the problem with picking a monotype for me is also the fact I have like a ton of names. Like, if we're going with my Native name then I'd go with a very aggressive type, like Fighting.
A lot of people associate me with ice type because of my other themes and the fact that one of my other preferred names is Dess (short for December) and I will have other handles that deal with ice-related stuff. But I don't do that so much anymore.
But I also don't really consider myself to "have" a true true name, DNA is just my "stage name", usually when I put representations of myself they're named variants of Null/Nil/Untitled/Undefined/Zero/Etc. Now, this combined with the fact that job-wise people associate me with ghost types (because my job is basically summoning or banishing demons and spirits for people) would probably make someone more inclined to assume I'd also be a ghost type.
However: My job is being a professional occultist for people. Which means I have to resist ghost, psychic, and possibly dark-types.
Therefore, the best typing based on my lack of name and line of work would be dark type, since literal dark is just the absence of light, and also it fits with everything else thematically. I am also not above biting people, I am practically nocturnal at times, and since my spirit guide is the red fox, I'd like to have a zoroark. I know thievul exists but it kinda sucks even though it looks neat so I'm ignoring it.
(I guess with the name bit and the resistance to ghost you could maybe get away with pinning me as a normal type, but I feel like everyone would agree that doesn't fit nearly as well.)
I am still kinda torn though because psychic, poison, ice, ghost, and steel are my other favorite types in general. Solosis are funny little guys, I love the "weird" mons that aren't just animals.

I know for so many KBL’s, viewers (me too!) always complain that the show would do so well as a full length, hour long 12ish episode run. But I think Happy Ending Romance is for real the first one where I wish it so DEEPLY. Like I understand ALL. THE. CHARACTERS. All their actions make sense. And all of them are SO LAYERED it’s crazy. It would have been so easy making Jung Hyun this horrible boyfriend who is using Jung Woo for clout because his writing is so good, but they DIDNT. I GENUINELY BELIEVE that it was difficult for Jung Hyun too (to a degree), and that he was doing what HE thought was best for Jung Woo. Jung Woo came to him AT ROCK BOTTOM, saying pretty dark stuff, OBVIOUSLY he would cling to whatever saves him! Also Jung Hyun, MID essentially being broken up with, is STILL kind of running around trying to protect Jung Woo!! Am I saying I’m team Jung Hyun? No, this love has ran its course. But I AM saying these characters are so good and my GOSH what a way to end the year.

RWBY v9 E10 spoilers. If you haven't seen it, don't read on!!!
Okay so, theory time: I think Neo becomes Alyx. Maybe that was obvious, and I'm just stupid, but still. The whole thing about healing her broken heart (like how Curious Cat tried to possess Alyx, filling her heart and all that- sorry to be a bit incoherent I'm just so ajdjnajdkajdjs about this ep), and the blacksmith literally picked up Alyx's knife as the suggested Neo could "become something new". Not sure how the time travel stuff works but I'm sure the blacksmith has those kinds of powers, considering, well, everything.
Just, everything about finding herself, and the thing in the opening where Neo's position gives way to be the same as Alyx's when she's lying on the beach;;;; yeah this is my headcanon now.
Also, I've seen some poeple say that if Neo comes back, they're expecting her to speak, like "finding herself" would somehow "fix" her, but being non verbal doesn't mean she's broken, and it's actually really important to see this representation, even if it's of an antagonist. I hope she comes back to teach everyone sign language.

Randomly thinkin about Chilchuck today, and how he tries sooooo hard to self sabotage
like for example, other half foots on the island think that he's a greedy asshole who only cares about money, and he does nothing to try to disprove that
but then there's this omake at the end of book 9 that shows that people treat half foots fucking TERRIBLY and chilchuck started a union to protect them
and then in the bicorn chapter, he doesn't want Marcille to keep digging into his personal business so he tells her he CHEATED ON HIS WIFE
but he just COMPLETELY fuckin lied about that and made himself sound so much worse than he is bc he's afraid of being vulnerable with people and would rather everyone believes he's a shitty person so he can keep them at a distance
and the thing that's memed so often is that he refuses to help with fighting most of the time because it's not part of his contract
but if you take this lore into account (not gonna add those particular images to this post simply bc I've used them in so many posts already LMAO) along with this tidbit from the world guide:
then it's like. yeah he has to keep his weight low so if he gets killed or severely injured and has to be healed, that could be really dangerous for him. and even if he was healed at that point he'd end up being a burden to the party after that point, he would be too dangerously thin/sickly to be able to help.
Like, Chilchuck has so many things about him that APPEAR to be character flaws, but every single one of them has a very reasonable explanation. He just leans into the mischaracterization bc he's emotionally withholding and can handle people thinking he's an asshole more than he can handle opening up to anyone. he's such a well thought out and interesting character

Learning that fans hated Applejack and called her "boring" is crazyyy to me because I genuinely, unironically believe AJ's the most complex character in the main six.
Backstory-wise, she was born into a family of famers/blue collar workers who helped found the town she lives in. She grew up a habitual liar until she had the bad habit traumatized outta her. She lost both her parents and was orphaned at a young age, having to step up as her baby sister's mother figure. She's the only person in the main gang who's experienced this level of loss and grief (A Royal Problem reveals that AJ dreams about memories of being held by her parents as a baby). She moved to Manhattan to live with her wealthy family members, only to realize she'll never fit in or be accepted, even amongst her own family. The earlier seasons imply she and her family had money problems too (In The Ticket Master, AJ wants to go to the gala to earn money to buy new farm equipment and afford hip surgery for her grandma).
Personality-wise, she's a total people-pleaser/steamroller (with an occasional savior complex) who places her self worth on her independence and usefulness for other people, causing her to become a complete workaholic. In Applebuck Season, AJ stops taking care of herself because of her obsessive responsibilities for others and becomes completely dysfunctional. In Apple Family Reunion, AJ has a tearful breakdown because in she thinks she dishonored her family and tarnished her reputation as a potential leader –– an expectation and anxiety that's directly tied to her deceased parents, as shown in the episode's ending scene. In The Last Roundup, AJ abandons her family and friends out of shame because believes she failed them by not earning 1st place in a rodeo competition. She completely spirals emotionally when she isn't able to fulfill her duties toward others. Her need to be the best manifests in intense pride and competitiveness when others challenge her. And when her pride's broken, she cowers and physically hides herself.
Moreover, it's strongly implied that AJ has a deep-seated anger. The comics explore her ranting outbursts more. EQG also obviously has AJ yelling at and insulting Rarity in a jealous fit just to hurt her feelings (with a line that I could write a whole dissection on). And I'm certain I read in a post somewhere that in a Gameloft event, AJ's negative traits are listed as anger.
Subtextually, a lot of these flaws and anxieties can be (retroactively) linked to her parents' death, forcing her to grow up too quickly to become the adult/caregiver of the family (especially after her big brother becomes semiverbal). Notice how throughout the series, she's constantly acting as the "mom friend" of the group (despite everything, she manages to be the most emotionally mature of the bunch). Notice how AJ'll switch to a quieter, calmer tone when her friends are panicking and use soothing prompts and questions to talk them through their emotions/problems; something she'd definitely pick up while raising a child. Same with her stoicism and reluctance at crying or releasing emotions (something Pinkie explicitly points out). She also had a childhood relationship with Rara (which, if you were to give a queer reading, could easy be interpreted as her first 'aha' crush), who eventually left her life. (Interestingly enough, AJ also has an angry outburst with Rara for the same exact reasons as with EQG Rarity; jealous, upset that someone else is using and changing her). It's not hard to imagine an AJ with separation anxiety stemming from her mother and childhood friend/crush leaving. I'm also not above reading into AJ's relationship with her little sister (Y'all ever think about how AB never got to know her parents, even though she shares her father's colors and her mother's curly hair?).
AJ's stubbornness is a symptom of growing up too quickly as well. Who else to play with your baby sister when your brother goes nonverbal (not to discount Big Mac's role in raising AB)? Who else to wake up in the middle of the night to care for your crying baby sister when your grandma needs her rest? When you need to be 100% all the time for your family, you tend to become hard-stuck with a sense of moral superiority. You know what's best because you have to be your best because if you're aren't your best, then everything'll inevitably fall apart and it'll be your fault. And if you don't know what's best –– if you've been wrong the whole time –– that means you haven't been your best, which means you've failed the people who rely on you, which means you can't fulfill your role in the family/society, which makes you worthless . We've seen time and time again how this compulsive need to be right for the sake of others becomes self-destructive (Apple Family Reunion, Sound of Silence, all competitions against RD). We've seen in The Last Roundup how, when no longer at her best, AJ would rather remove herself from her community than confront them because she no longer feels of use to them.
But I guess it is kinda weird that AJ has "masculine" traits and isn't interested in men at all. It's totally justified that an aggressively straight, misogynistic male fandom would characterize her as a "boring background character." /s

Bruce, pretty sure he knows where this is going: "Well there's a reasonable explanation for this--"
Tim, kind of sheepish: "It's from the Bo staff."
Bruce, turning fully on the chair to look at him.
Tim, fidgeting a little: "I've been practicing kind of a lot with it recently."
Bruce, suddenly incredibly proud: "Yes," turns back to the suspicious principal. "He insists on getting into these really niche extra curriculars. For college."
Principal, looking between them: "Bo staff? What is that, exactly?"
Tim: "I can show you if you like? Do you mind?"
The principal shrugs and Tim steps out, returning with a broom.
He does a one handed figure eight spin and wipes the Principal's mug right off the desk, causing it to shatter on the floor.
Tim: "Oh shit."
Bruce, speaking over the principal, standing up: "Excellent, just loosen your grip a little more."
Tim, rolling his eyes: "It's a pretty basic move B, and you know it--"
Bruce, excited that Tim's taken an interest: "Just the beginning, tonight we'll practice some real moves, build your repertoire in defense and offense--"
Tim, grinning: "I'd like that, I've also been working on--"
Principal, clearing her throat: "I think I've seen all I need to see."

Today my therapist introduced me to a concept surrounding disability that she called "hLep".
Which is when you - in this case, you are a disabled person - ask someone for help ("I can't drink almond milk so can you get me some whole milk?", or "Please call Donna and ask her to pick up the car for me."), and they say yes, and then they do something that is not what you asked for but is what they think you should have asked for ("I know you said you wanted whole, but I got you skim milk because it's better for you!", "I didn't want to ruin Donna's day by asking her that, so I spent your money on an expensive towing service!") And then if you get annoyed at them for ignoring what you actually asked for - and often it has already happened repeatedly - they get angry because they "were just helping you! You should be grateful!!"
And my therapist pointed out that this is not "help", it's "hLep".
Sure, it looks like help; it kind of sounds like help too; and if it was adjusted just a little bit, it could be help. But it's not help. It's hLep.
At its best, it is patronizing and makes a person feel unvalued and un-listened-to. Always, it reinforces the false idea that disabled people can't be trusted with our own care. And at its worst, it results in disabled people losing our freedom and control over our lives, and also being unable to actually access what we need to survive.
So please, when a disabled person asks you for help on something, don't be a hLeper, be a helper! In other words: they know better than you what they need, and the best way you can honor the trust they've put in you is to believe that!
Also, I want to be very clear that the "getting angry at a disabled person's attempts to point out harmful behavior" part of this makes the whole thing WAY worse. Like it'd be one thing if my roommate bought me some passive-aggressive skim milk, but then they heard what I had to say, and they apologized and did better in the future - our relationship could bounce back from that. But it is very much another thing to have a crying shouting match with someone who is furious at you for saying something they did was ableist. Like, Christ, Jessica, remind me to never ask for your support ever again! You make me feel like if I asked you to call 911, you'd order a pizza because you know I'll feel better once I eat something!!

A small, non-comprehensive list of things that stood out to me (spoilers? Kind of?)
The soundtrack
All the jokes that played off of what it was actually like to play with barbies (the pool & ocean being flat, the cups having no drinks in them, the shower having no water, etc.

Barbies of many shapes and sizes! All very beautiful!
THE ENDING, OH MA LORD. Both the way the story concluded really beautifully, but also the ending joke that no one was prepared for—

In the same vein, that movie would NOT have been complete without representing the kids who played with their dolls "too hard" (cutting their hair, bending them in weird ways, etc.)
Acknowledging that Barbie did in fact mean a lot to some girls. This movie was geared towards everyone, whether you grew up loving Barbie or hating her.
The mom and her daughter
The fact that when Barbie was starting to become "defective" and/or when she was in the real world, you could start to see her ""flaws"". Like I noticed in some scenes her eyebrows were unplucked and no longer perfectly sculpted, or her skin no longer perfectly smooth with foundation.
It was clear that SO much thought and research was put into this. I couldn't believe how many references there were to specific clothing items, certain playsets, etc.
The fact that Barbie and Ken DIDN'T end up together, and that Barbie DIDN'T indulge Ken in his flirtations (is that a word?) even once
THE FACT THAT I WAS SO CLOSE TO ACTUAL TEARS LIKE SEVEN TIMES???? LIKE WHAT????
The weird dark humor coming out of nowhere
The fact that Barbie never once looked at the human women (who were "imperfect" in comparison to her) with disgust
......the moment between her and the woman on the bench 😭😭😭
The mom's rant about how hard it is being a woman (esp a mother) and how you can never win 🙌🙏
The misogyny in the Real World was so well done. It wasn't overexaggated or over the top it was just NORMAL EVERYDAY LIFE

I've been told that it's difficult to stream and monetise age-restricted videos on YouTube and Twitch, so I added an option to remove the sexual content and strong language used in the demo.
Now y'all can invite Ren into your bed for cuddles without putting your streamer career on the line /silly /lh
This won't affect the 18+ rating or dark themes/elements of the game, however! Although Streamer Mode will prevent you from seeing any "gruesome" CGs in the future, most of the core elements of the game will still be tied to the choices and decisions you make. So you won't miss out on the overall experience by using streamer mode!!
⚙️ Custom Pronouns!
It only took me one entire year to get around to it, but you can finally choose your own preferred pronouns (or use a set of pronouns instead)... At the cost of being able to change them mid-game ^^;
Since the original pronoun screen wouldn't update until a new scene was displayed, I temporarily disabled the feature. But once I find a workaround, I'll bring it back!
💗 Choose how others perceive you!
You can now choose how the cast and narration perceive you! Originally, the narration was kept strictly gender-neutral (outside of pronouns and genitalia picked by the player), but this will soon change in future updates.
For more clarity: you don't get to choose the words specifically, but you can choose between masculine, feminine, and androgynous terms!
📋 Separate top and bottom genitalia!
You can now choose your tatas and pps separately! >:3
Alongside that, you can also choose your preferred body type!
I removed the "both" genitalia option because a few players still assumed it was an obscure version of "intersex". That wasn't my intention and I don't want to mislead anyone, so I took it out for now ^^;
I also didn't want to include a screenshot of the new genitalia choices in action (because it's NSFW), so y'all get the same character menu screen for the nth time instead lmao
📱 Relationship Screen Overhaul!
You can now change your own status for more immersion, and long-term Server Boosters will eventually be able to submit and use their own icon within the game as well!
Stalking finding your friends has now become easier by using "Buddy Maps"; a new app that allows you to see the location of all the cast members!
I want to offer players more incentive to check the relationship screen since they tend to miss the status updates, so hopefully this might help ;v;
It also says it "updates every few hours" so folks don't go overboard and check every 5 seconds to see where Ren is gdsghf (also keep in mind that he's a hacker lol)
🖤 Additional Scenes Update!
Day 2 received a brand new CG!!!!! Originally, I planned on only adding a few CGs sporadically throughout the game, but it didn't feel right to leave Day 2 so... empty... so I added a brand new CG to (hopefully) make things feel more balanced and natural!
If you decline Teo's offer on Day 3, Leon will now call and try to convince you to reconsider. However, players are still allowed to decline, and if they do, they'll reach a dead end.
After listening to feedback on itch, I changed some of the dialogue during Days 1-3 to make it seem more consistent! They're only small changes though, so it's honestly not worth looking for sdgjssga
🎶 Updated BGM and SFX!
I wanted to try out a different style of music to see if it fits the vibe of 14DWY more! The BGM features more acoustics to suit the "beachy" theme of Corland Bay, though I made a conscious effort to include piano elements as well to stay true to the original!!
I figured it'd be better to give players a live example before I make a poll (to see if they prefer the change or not) and publish it to Itch.
Some new SFX have also been added, though it's very minimal and honestly not that noticeable.

To download the Day 3.5 update, simply join the 14DWY Discord server, verify your age, and visit the "14dwy-updates" channel!
Alternatively, you can also wait until the update is publicly released on Itch to play it as well!! (It normally gets released shortly after a round of QA testing/getting feedback from the server, though I may release it earlier if I feel like it hehe ^^)

MASSIVE SPOILERS FOR HAZBIN HOTEL EPISODE 6
“I wouldn’t forget a bad bitch like you, it’s why I named you after the best thing ever, Vaggie.”
“Actually it’s pronounced Vaggie”
It’s such a ridiculous line that’s meant to be taken as a joke but it implies so much about the way heaven operates.
Hell is composed of two large groups: the hell-born, and the sinners. With all the questions posed in episode 6, it’s kind of hard to place how the other side works or how people even get into heaven, but the line above helps place them into one of two systems
1. There are no “heaven-born” angels, there are only those who have been saved after their Earthly death. While this theory seems less likely, it is solidified when Sera calls Adam “the first to enter heaven” and not just “the first man” in the courthouse scene.
If this were the truth, Adam naming Vaggie would have some pretty screwed up implications such as heaven completely stripping human souls of their previous identities to better fit whatever role they need to play “for the greater good of all angels”
2. The second theory is that, much like Hell, Heaven has both earthly souls that have ascended and heaven-born angels that hold higher rank. This theory is also pretty solidified by the presence of a clear defined ranking system in the angels that seems to have more to do with bloodline (Emily and Sera) that with deserved power being passed down.
If this were the truth though, that would mean that some heaven-born angels were created (spawned? born?) simply to serve as exorcists. Kind of like the “guard class” of bees in a hive that are already born with the attack skills and genetics they need to defend their Queen. That would be why Adam named Vaggie, because working as an exorcist would be all she’d ever known at the time.
TLDR: it’s fucked up no matter how you look at it
