The way Five Pebbles gets written off as a "bad guy" so much just shows.

Tell him that you love him, that you won't ever leave him and watch him take down the entire cosmos for you. Watch him come running back to you bloody and bruised, his tone quiet but sincere as he spills his undying love for you through his busted lips.

He is danger incarnate. Not even his co-workers want anything to do with him. But it's so hard not to fall into his strong, secure arms as he kisses you breathless beneath the shimmering moonlight. People avoid you due to your association with him and sometimes, you miss your old life. Sometimes you miss how the sun would kiss your face as your friends laughed behind you, picnic baskets in your hand as you made your way towards a clearing you all fancied. You can still recall the smell of fresh bread, various jams and the endless sea of fruits everyone would bring.

Those moments were true slices of paradise. They were simple but meaningful, powerful even.

Some things were more powerful however.

You traded the sun for snow. Warmth for cold. Comfortable uncertainty for caged safety. Friends who left you for a lover who was ready to kill for you.

Don't focus on them, the ginger man would tell you. You don't need any of them, not when you have him. And you would grip his jacket tight, so impeccably tight that your knuckles would turn pale. He would then proceed to kiss those knuckles with a gentleness a man like him ought not to possess.

Tartaglia was a walking contradiction of a man. And you wouldn't have him any other way.

I have a simple fascination and joy in the thought that, for the Ghost King AU, most of the time Danny is literally so normal compared to other ghosts.

Like, he’s a kid. He looks like a kid. Going by canon appearances, he is the most human looking ghost we see (aside from Ellie). Even Plasmius is more inhuman, which is where all the vampire jokes come from. Every single one of this enemies is off even in a human disguise. They’re not human, and people don’t expect them to be.

So aside from the implications of Danny looking like a child ghost, I wonder what other characters would think if they summon the Ghost King, expecting this huge monstrosity worse than anything they’ve ever seen, and getting a totally normal human-looking kid.

I’d be terrified. Because if horror movies have taught us anything, it’s that the most innocent and normal looking people are the worst monsters you’ve ever seen.

Now Jason was planning on, well, a lot of things, when he came back to Gotham. He had a lot of plans, several of which had to do with the old man and even more that had to do with cleaning up Crime Alley, making it safer and all that. 

What he was not planning on was to find some sort of lab in the basement of where he was planning on setting up a safehouse. Nor was he planning on finding several literal children in cages inside said lab. Oh and Lazarus Waters- but children! With muzzles! Being experimented on!

Now he’d like to say he had a plan in what happened next, but if he’s honest everything had gone Green and he didn’t remember what happened next, only that he’s back home with said children and covered in blood. Oh and everything smells of smoke. 

… And apparently there’s more of these things dotted around Crime Alley with the rest of these kids, er, siblings? Family? Fright does mean family? Okay kids, he’s not turning into Bruce but you can stay here while he deals with this… however long that takes.

You know, I think it's interesting that Liliana is exasperated with Imogen for thinking Predathos is going to cause loss of life (outside of the gods), but re: Imogen's dream in ep. 68, when Imogen feels the draw to Predathos, Liliana shouts to her, "Imogen! Please run! I won't let it have you!"

Does this mean that Predathos is not a threat (as far as Liliana has been told) to common folk, but is a threat to Ruidusborn? Does this have something to do with why they are amassing Ruidusborn in Kreviris, in preparation for the mass migration to Exandria? This adds some interesting implications to her statement to Imogen about having children to look after. Does she mean the other young Ruidusborn she has personally called to the moon, as she did Petrov? "It" (presumably Predathos) can't have Imogen, but it can have the other children she's "looking after"?

She also seems to believe that there's a future for her after releasing Predathos, so it feels like she means something more than just giving in to Predathos' influence. She's done that, after all (as far as we know), and she thinks that's not the end of the road. She's trying to convince Imogen that Predathos is not a threat, but at every turn she is also telling Imogen not to get any closer because Predathos is a threat. Which one the fuck is it, Liliana?? Imogen is right for perceiving Predathos/Ludinus' plans as a threat that will cause loss of life because that is how Liliana is treating it every time she pushes Imogen away. So what IS happening with the Ruidusborn recruits that has Liliana so determined Imogen not get close to it? What does it mean for "it" to "have [them]"? And why is Liliana unafraid for herself?

Nothing too evocative, besides the fact it’s their favorites, except that... Ryoshu’s wordlessly crying over her oyakodon on her seat. Dante sees this and loudly train honks, catching everyone’s attention.
