If a villain make Bruce choose between Jason and Dick that one of them must die or they'll kill them both, who would Bruce choose?
Jason because the guilt for his death? Or Dick because he was the first child and one of the children that loved him dearly?
I don't think that's the kind of choice Bruce would ever allow himself to make, if there was even a minute chance to subvert that decision from happening. I could see him pretending to choose, in order to buy time. But actively choosing one over the other? Especially when they're both begging him to choose them, and not the other? It's hard to say. The most in-character thing for him to do would be to choose himself somehow.

Look, I love Maglor.
Maglor makes me feel things.
I am firmly in the camp that Maglor is the Most Gentle Feanorian, he hates violence, he sees the wrong in all they do, he has an immense amount of empathy.
And don’t you see… this does not make him The Best Feanorian, morally superior to his brothers, pure and good.
This interpretation… kinda makes him the WORST of his brothers?
Maedhros stands aside when the ships burn. He believes abandoning their cousins and people is wrong and takes a stand no matter how futile. Maglor doesn’t. Maglor burns the ships.
We don’t know that Maglor thought that was wrong, we don’t get his perspective in that part of the story. But once we start getting his perspective we get him arguing against the final acts of murder that would retrieve the Silmarils, with full knowledge that it is a bad thing to do… and then doing it anyways. I think Maglor knew burning the ships was wrong.
If you interpret Maglor this way… he doesn’t come out looking good. At least Curufin and Celegorm had conviction that attacking Doriath was right. Going along with it knowing it’s wrong is WORSE. It’s FUCKED UP.
Maglor, in many ways, is a coward. Not when facing the enemy, but when facing his brothers, or his father. He may have had the most of Nerdanel in him of his brothers, but he didn’t get her spine, her ability to say “no this is wrong” to someone she loves, and step away. I even think Maglor’s “no this is wrong” was internal until the very end, when he only had his closest brother left.
There is a period where Maglor is in charge, after Maedhros’s capture. And a lot of people headcanon Maglor having a lot of guilt over his inaction in this time. I agree he has a lot of guilt over it (I think guilt and conflicted emotions drive almost everything Maglor does) but I also think this is the BRAVEST AND MOST CORRECT MAGLOR ACTS IN THE ENTIRE FIRST AGE. The Noldor should absolutely just be seeking to survive at this point, trying to rescue Maedhros would get them all killed. Inaction is the correct call here, despite pressure to do otherwise.
And also, I can’t remember if I made this up, but I have a memory of Curufin and Celegorm both clamoring for Maglor to give up the throne in favor of Celegorm, who is absolutely a more decisive leader in line with what their father would have wanted. Fending this off would be the only recorded time when Maglor stood firm against his brothers.
Some people portray Maglor taking in Elrond and Elros as an act of defiance against Maedhros, to which I say… why? Maedhros frantically searched for Elured and Elurin to save them, he clearly was very against the murder of children, and Maglor has exactly zero instances of putting his foot down against Maedhros.
Tl.dr. Maglor having the most developed moral compass of the feanorians, far from making him a perfect angel, actually mixes with his actions and inactions to make him INCREDIBLY flawed in a completely unflattering way, and I think that’s fascinating.

How do you think the guys would be meeting their s/o family?
I’m going to be completely honest here and say I’m not that interested in writing about the other guys 😞 but for ghost:
how ghost would be meeting your family:
Incredibly nervous but he hides it. You’re at the point in the relationship where you notice these things though: he clenches his hands a bit, shifts his eyes around, is visibly tense the whole ride over.
He would be very very quiet the first time he meets them. Kind of just staring a lot, listening, nodding along. He’s overwhelmed. You have this many people in your family?
You made sure to tell your family not ask certain things, like about Ghost’s family or the mask. Your family is respectful enough to avoid those topics.
Eventually, he’d open up a little because he doesn’t want them to get a bad impression so he’ll probably just try making his dad jokes as a conversation-saver.
Oh he also clings to you the whole time. Follows you around like a puppy and doesn’t know what to do when you excuse yourself to go to the bathroom so he just follows you to into it (Are you just going to watch me pee, Simon?) Yep he will

I sometimes see takes of mean girl Steve making some snide remark to Eddie and that leading to tension between them, but while I do think the possibility of Steve going too far is definitely on the table, I just...don’t really see that leading to fights at the point where Steve and Eddie are friends the way they are by the end of season 4? Besides the fact that Eddie seems to like snarky Steve and encourage it when it’s directed at other characters--because Eddie is a little shit too--the big thing that I think would prevent it from becoming a problem is that almost every time we’ve seen Steve cross a line on screen, he apologizes, if not immediately in the moment (usually) within, like...the next 48 hours.
If anything, I think a “problem” that might crop up once Steve and Eddie’s relationship becomes romantic is Steve apologizing too much, sometimes when he isn’t even sure what he’s done wrong. And that might lead to the usual conflict--that Steve doesn’t recognize the problem of what he did in the first place--but I also think Steve might sometimes apologize because he thinks he’s supposed to, even when he actually hasn’t done anything at all and Eddie is just...irritated about something else altogether.
(Which, for some sweet hurt/comfort, I do think would lead to a conversation between Eddie and Steve about how Steve isn’t responsible for apologizing, taking the blame, or trying to “fix” things just because Eddie is in a bad mood or something.)

For those who are worried that Tim and Lucy might not get back together, let me provide a small amount of reassurance. I am part of a fandom that was significantly smaller for much of its later seasons when compared to the Rookie. The main ship is/was very popular with fans and like Chenford, not necessarily planned as a couple from the beginning. That couple went through fights, many trials, an almost break up, and some ridiculous issues, but the writers never actually kept them apart long term. With as enthusiastic as Chenford shippers are, I can’t believe that anyone involved with the Rookie would dare split them up for good. It would permanently alienate a huge part of their viewership for the remainder of the series, even if both characters stayed on.
So, while I can’t say it with absolute certainty, I have a hunch that Tim and Lucy will end up back together eventually. It may involve a lot of angst, heartbreak, and frustration, but if the series continues, they will be a couple again.

Hey there! You probably won’t see this right away since I can’t answer your ask directly (side blog struggles) but here’s my answer:
With how things are going, I’m starting to think that this is it.
Tumblr media
The He family is mafia and so is Jian Yi’s father. Now, this psycho had hurt
1. Mo Guan Shan: someone very special to He Tian
2. Jian Yi: He Tian’s dear friend + He Cheng’s ‘assignment’ + Son of a mafia boss
It’s payback time. She Li’s fucked.
Tumblr media
This time, the mafia’s gonna get involved and that could also mean both He Tian and Jian Yi are leaving soon... so we are all fucked as well 👁👄👁

I personally think
If you see someone stealing baby food or formula for their lil ones don't say nothing, mind your business.
If you see someone going to a food bank for their kids food or their own food don't say nothing, mind your business.
If you see someone taking food from a Free food box, mind your business.
If you see kids getting free canned food from school, mind your business don't say nothing.
I will never shame or tattle on someone for doing what they can so their kid don't go hungry.
A fed kid is a fed kid no matter how you feed them, I respect parents who do everything and anything so their kids can eat. .
Sometimes people fall on hard times especially in this economy and people gotta eat.

Ai art
listen, I tend to stay away from ai discords. I don’t mean to start a war, it just feels very one sided. HOWEVER before using ai to generate an image for a personal project, try using picrew. It’s 100 percent free. There are a lot of great artists who spend hours maybe even weeks or months on picrew, and I’m sure they would be thrilled with people using their work, especially artists who’s picrews aren’t as popular. Picrew isn’t just for people even. There are food picrews, room picrews, drink picrews. So yeah, my two cents. Before using Ai try picrew, where the art is made by real artists

ofmd 2 spoilers but im talking about izzy
it’s been really interesting wiggling into fandom spaces on here and seeing ppl’s takes
but seeing the mixed feelings over izzy this season is so interesting. like there are always izzy stans, always izzy haters, and then the ones who start off w one feeling and now have a different one. as the latter i wanna put my take out there.
w s1, i was a izzy hater. he did annoy the shit out of me w how negative he was and how anti-ed having fun. but now i just feel different. i did appreciate the little conflicts in s1, cuz he did have some kind of connection w ed, but i feel like he’s getting more dimension in s2.
he is reaping in s2 what he sowed in s1. he wanted ed to be blackbeard bc that’s who he gave his loyalty to. his devotion was for Blackbeard… not for Ed. this man swapping clothes w an ex-aristocrat and teasing some blond airhead in the moonlight isn’t the captain he dedicated himself to. but, he kept egging ed on to be blackbeard and he got the kraken instead.
i think he recognizes that he did have a hand in the kraken, but wont fully own up to it. like stede caused the feelings but izzy enabled the behavior, but nobody needs to know that. so when he’s trying to wrangle ed in again he tries to copy stede. talking about the ship being “toxic”, trying to talk about the crew’s feelings, telling ed that he loves him and that theyre friends. but after that failure and the failed murder-suicide attempt, he’s got to have some kind of clarity. that and when he realizes that stede does indeed know ed and he’s on some fake high horse in “knowing” ed.
ik there’s some that do not like his little “suddenly a hero” moment, but i think it’s the first step in his arc where he becomes his own person. stede and ed both have complexes where they think theyre unlovable, but they (unhealthily) deal w it by running away and becoming someone else— someone who’s a leader. i think it’s prob the same for izzy but instead of a leader, izzy is a follower. if he pledges an allegiance to something, someone, then he’ll get what love is. but that’s not tru and he’s starting to realize that. but he’s abandoned some part of him do he’s copying ppl to fix situations. now that he got shot by someone he was loyal to and flopped at being “sensitive” he’s developing his own sense of person and how he handles things.
like yea, he needs to be held accountable for the kraken, but also stede abandoned his children and expected them to love and remember him when he got back after abandoning the actual love of his life bc he’s still struggling. everyone in this show does not great things as they are deeply flawed ppl w trauma in a non-therapy era.

Based on a post I saw in the River Song tag I've come to the conclusion that, not for the first time, the world really is designed around restraining a woman's sexuality. But more importantly, it comes down to the whole world is pretty much designed around reigning women in. Abortion laws, grown women banning books because they see any little thing as "porn". Women being taught that it's their responsibility not to get raped. Men can sleep around cause they are guys etc. I love a good period piece or any time era where the couple is not looking outside their relationship for their sexual needs. Some of my favorite stories in fact. I also don't see a problem with River being just as in love with The Doctor without any of the relationships that have been brought to light in the show being condemned as source of tragic heartbreak to make sure we know that as a woman she can't possibly have enjoyed herself unless she was enjoying her sexuality inside and exclusively from her marriage.
Yeah I think I enjoy your insights that's why I keep writing to you.
Aw, thank you! I enjoy answering your questions. In this case, I agree with what that person wrote.
Do you remember the minisodes - First Night/Last Night - that showed the Doctor and River’s honeymoon? In those scenes, River confesses she believes the Doctor brought someone else on their honeymoon, not knowing the other women were actually future versions of her. That means for decades, since the beginning of their marriage, River has been convinced she was just one of many on her own wedding night, that the Doctor was with someone else. So no wonder she develops this open-ended approach to marriage, her heart was broken on her wedding night. It’s played off for laughs, but you see the real pain in THORS.
Fidelity, or the lack thereof, is an issue of character and psychology, not sexuality. I know plenty of people who love to have sex who would never step outside of their marriage or engage in sexual activity with anyone besides the one that they chose to commit themselves to for the rest of their life. Oh, I’m certain she was gratified physically, but it’s revealed in the same episode she was not satisfied emotionally. So I believe that person is correct to attribute her extra marital relations to her psychological state at the time. Especially because in the seven years we knew River, we had not seen or heard of her having other partners on the side. Her loyalty, love, and devotion to the Doctor has been one of the defining forces behind her character motivations since her introduction.
So if that’s her character, if being with the Doctor is her greatest desire (6.01), if loyalty is her core trait, then why is she suddenly being disloyal to the doctor behind his back in THORS? The doctor was surprised to find out Hydroflax was the husband in question: “That’s your husband? Not anyone else?” Ramone just added insult to injury. Though delivered in comedic form, the Doctor’s jealousy was front and center, and then, he becomes hurt. Where is the devotion? Where is the River he thought he knew? The one that would sacrifice time itself to save him? All of these extra marital relations are coming out of left field, blindsiding the audience, leaving the question: who is the real River?
But then, in the climatic scene, Moffat reveals River is in a state of pain. To believe your husband does not love you back is painful. That cannot be ignored. Though I wish Moffat had left it as a headcanon, I begrudgingly accept, for most of their marriage, River believed they were married in name only, that the Doctor did not love her back. Now it makes sense why this character who has been designated for years as one of the most loyal characters in the Doctor’s life is suddenly found in a position of disloyalty. That is a painful psychological state to subsist in for decades. One can’t put all that trauma in a bubble and think it has no influence on her sleeping with all these other people.
One also has to take into account River’s history. Like her mother, River has survived a lot of trauma. She suffered child abuse. She was trafficked as a child soldier. She dealt with a lot of neglect, torture, and abandonment. When it comes to people who have that kind of trauma, you can’t just casually love them; you have to be intentional with your acts and words of affection, so they can trust the love is real. You have to drill through all those years and layers of trauma and abuse. I love you. I love you. I love you. The Doctor didn’t drill all the way down, so he was inadvertently causing her further pain. She was falling deeply in love with him while believing he felt nothing for her because he wasn’t expressing his love in a way she could understand or trust.
But once the Doctor realizes what’s going on, he proceeds to shatter that misconception until nothing’s left: “Hello Sweetie.” “Not one living thing is worth you.” “There is a Song.” “24 years.” The fact she was able to be with the doctor for 24 years, that she was able to leave all those other relationships behind and it just be him and her, and River be at her most satisfied? That tells me all I need to know, that those relationships were symptoms of an unchecked broken heart in a woman who didn’t believe she was in a marriage that was real.

What if Sean came back for Ellie in s6 instead of Emma?
Gonna put this under read more so I don’t offend anyone.
For starters, Sean wouldn't be in jail and expelled since Peter's whole thing was that he was trying to get Emma and tried to sabotage him. And Sean would continue school and his plans to run his own shop.
Sean and Ellie may have a rocky start in the beginning, with Ellie still being hurt over Sean leaving. Not to mention her crazy crush on Craig *eye roll*. But eventually they’d become friends and more civil.
Eventually Ellie may have a realization about how horrible she acted while infatuated with Craig and try to make things right, like with Manny for example. She wouldn’t date Jesse because her feelings for Sean are coming back. Then they’d get back together and try to make things work. Even losing their virginities together (though I don’t buy that they never had sex in s4 when living together).
As for the army thing, if he does do it, I think that Ellie would actually be supportive and help him train (like Owen and Anya). And they’d try and make a long distance relationship work, eventually get married, and have babies.

Hii, I’ve been messaging a few supercorp-centric blogs about this, and I love your fics so I wanted to hear your thoughts!
What do you think would have been the perfect supercorp first kiss? Like, say the showrunners had decided to go for it, when and how do you think it should have happened?
That's an interesting question! And it doesn't have a simple and concise answer, I'm afraid. Because in order to have an on screen kiss feel organic, we would need to deepen a whole of onscreen moments Lena and Kara shared. In my mind, S6 would be the place to do it-- after the rift, after the PZ, expounding on the scenes they have canonically shared.
I'll try to recall as many moments as I can:
- the pre-/peri-PZ content: their conversation should have been more personal, a little deeper. And Kara's message to/about Lena in her legacy hologram should have been more directly alluding to her relationship with Lena.
- the post-PZ hug: it should have continued longer, to the point it borders on TOO long. Long enough to demonstrate that Kara missed Lena most of all, or was most grateful to Lena for rescuing her.
- Lena's departure for Newfoundland: should have been in person, and more hesitant. Like she knows what it looks like, that it looks like she's running away from them. But the truth is that she's running towards her mother, finally chasing down the answers she's always longed for.
- the courage gauntlet scene: Lena should have been more quietly effusive of Kara, and how she inspires Lena herself to be brave. I mean, the only time Kara caved to her fears was when she failed to tell Lena the truth of her being Supergirl. Which helps Kara recognize where she failed the night she saved that plane.
- kara and lena being on the same page: there was a scene about kara wanting to use peoples humanity against Nyxly, and Lena disagreeing. If I had my druthers, that would have resolved differently, with Kara either apologizing for going thru with her plan despite Lena's objections, or else caving to Lena's objections in the first place. Because canon was weirdly ooc for this altercation.
- the potsticker scene: i think it would have been cool if Kara commented that she's sure Lena had something better to do than share dinner, and Lena coming back with a "There's nowhere I'd rather be." In that soft voice she has sometimes.
- the witch confession: if Lena had used Kara as a sort of sounding board when figuring out how she feels about her newfound magic. Kara wouldn't really catch the deeper meaning, but she'd basically cast her vote for Lena, doesn't matter when or where or how.
Anywho... I could go on and on. But basically the sum of this season-long build up would culminate in a moment of quiet following their tearful embrace at the wedding. When they pull back, they linger close. Lena would lift her hand to tenderly cup Kara's cheek as they hold each other's gaze.
"Will you be there for me?" Kara asks, despite already knowing the answer.
Lena nods. "I'm with you," she promises. "No matter what."
Kara hiccups again, tears spilling onto her cheeks. Then they'd embrace again, with Kara burying her face in the crook of Lena's neck. And Lena would press a kiss to Kara's hair, the only thing she can reach.
Then when Kara's emotions are back in check, they'd go to see the happy couple off, they're fingers interlaced between them.

Tbf despite Billy’s behaviour I feel that deep down he’s a nice person. The reason why he is the way he is is simply because he struggled with internal homophobia.
He likes another man and feminine things such as wearing fancy jewellery, but was brutalised by his father and shamed for being ‘queer’ which made him hate himself through his aggression towards others.
Had Billy survived, he would have slowly realised that he’s becoming the thing he hates most—his father. Potentially, he might join the group, get things right with Max and probably be a powerful duo with Steve. Imagine that.

PS: Billy has a nice car.
