We’re prepping for a prompt challenge. Gonna pick a genre for the prompts in a poll. Find a prompt that’s voted upon.
Then we’re gonna upload 3 paragraphs of writing for the prompt. Then we vote again on the best one. Then we’re gonna create a prompt chain and tell the story that way.
So there’s always creative dynamics to work with here. 😅😅 ANYONE OVER 18 can JOIN. THIS INCLUDES YOU! Every follower who follows me or even just looks in my direction. You.

🇵🇸 From BDS:
More than 300 Palestinian sports teams are calling to ban Israel from the Olympics over its genocide against Palestinians in Gaza.
[...] In Gaza, Israel has killed Palestinian Olympic Football coach Hani Al Masdar, destroyed the Palestinian Olympic Committee offices, and turned sports facilities into shameful mass detention and torture centers.
We can’t sit back as the IOC allows Israel to use the Olympics to sportswash its genocide in Gaza and its apartheid regime against Palestinians everywhere. Support the call from Palestinian teams. Join the campaign to #BanIsrael from the Olympics and peacefully disrupt the road to the Paris 2024 games.
Global days of action planned for March 15-17:
Ahead of the IOC executive board meeting in Lausanne Switzerland (March 19-21), take the call from Palestinian teams to your National Olympic Committee, International Sports Federations and Recognized Sports Federations. Organize protests, sit-ins, peaceful disruptions, or awareness raising events on Israeli attacks on Palestinian sports.
For more concrete information on how you can participate in the campaign, see the link above. You should also check in with your local BDS-affiliated organization(s) to see if they have anything planned for these dates (if they don't, consider bringing it up to them)
If you're not familiar with any BDS-affiliated organizations in your country (or state/city), then take a look at BDS's "Join a Campaign'"page.
There's also a petition you can sign.

🍄🦔🍄 JOIN MY MAILING LIST HERE 🍄🦔🍄
Scroll down to the bottom of the webpage & sign up
What is my mailing list?
My mailing list (nicknamed "my Reader list") is my collective term for exclusive subscribers. All members (all "Readers") get exclusive content sent straight from me to their personal inboxes every month.
Why do I need subscribers?
Because social media doesn't last forever, and I have 0 control over whether a social media platform becomes queerphobic, or my account gets deleted, or the platform gets bought by a billionaire with too much ego and too little sense, or even if the platform changes how its algorithms work or if it goes dark for an unspecified amount of time.
All of those things influence how many of my followers, mutuals and friends get to access my content. And unfortunately, all of those things usually result in people missing out on things I post.
However, exclusive readers don't have to miss anything. They get all of my key information, all of my highlights, and all of my latest content delivered straight to their inboxes.
What do you gain from signing up?
You become part of my exclusive Reader community. You get predictable updates delivered like clockwork, on schedule, always there right when you expect it to be.
Additionally, you gain access to regular updates, advanced notice about books and publishing dates. You get a heads up about what I'll be posting about, before anyone else is informed. You get my favourite piece of art that I've uploaded recently sent to you personally. I'll also be including a favourite moment from my Discord chat that month.
Do you have to pay?
Nope! My Reader list is a 100% free subscription.
Can you unsubscribe?
Yep! You can unsubscribe at any point, with or without giving a reason why.
How often will you receive emails from me?
Once a month. You'll find out the exact date once you sign up (it's a closely guarded secret 😉)
Is this spam?
Nope! I promise not to spam you, and I promise not to send you any links to blog posts or stories containing placed products or ads.
🍄🦔🍄 Interested? Check my stuff out 🍄🦔🍄
🍄 Don't miss out 🦔 Don't miss out 🍄 Don't miss out 🦔

i think all quiet on the western front and the lord of the rings are in direct conversation with each other, as in theyre the retelling of the same war with one saying here's what happened, we all died, and it did not matter at all and another going hush little boy, of course we won, of course your friends came back

Seriously though, all the speculation about new members is super fun but we should all remember to give a warm welcome to whoever ends up joining, even if it’s not the person you were hoping for
Let’s not let any potential disappointment overshadow the new people’s arrival

thoughts on "tradwives" as a 19th-century social historian
It's great until it's not.
It's great until he develops an addiction and starts spending all the money on it.
It's great until you realize he's abusive and hid it long enough to get you totally in his power (happened to my great-great-aunt Irene).
It's great until he gets injured and can't work anymore.
It's great until he dies and your options are "learn a marketable skill fast" or "marry the first eligible man you can find."
It's great until he wants child #7 and your body just can't take another pregnancy, but you can't leave or risk desertion because he's your meal ticket.
It's great until he tries to make you run a brothel as a get-rich-quick scheme and deserts you when you refuse, leaving your sisters to desperately fundraise so your house doesn't get foreclosed on (happened to my great-great-aunt Mamie).
It's great until you want to leave but you can't. It's great until you want to do something else with your life but you can't. It's great. Until. It's. Not.
I won't lie to you and say nobody was ever happy that way. Plenty of women have been, and part of feminism is acknowledging that women have the right to choose that sort of life if they want to.
But flinging yourself into it wholeheartedly with no sort of safety net whatsoever, especially in a period where it's EXTREMELY easy for him to leave you- as it should be; no-fault divorce saves lives -is naive at best and dangerous at worst.
Have your own means of support. Keep your own bank account; we fought hard enough to be allowed them. Gods willing, you never need that safety net, but too many women have suffered because they needed it and it wasn't there.

I can't stop thinking about how funny it is that Aang had all this secret lore on Zuko because of the Blue Spirit that he just, didn't share with the Gaang. That boy knew that Zuko was capable of fighting extremely well without bending, was excellent with swords and unnaturally good at infiltration and espionage. And then just never brought it up.
Katara's yelling at Zuko on how he thinks he'd be able to find and break into the Sun Warrior Temple while Aang is fidgeting in the background. Sokka starts giving Zuko a hard time about his swords, asking if a spoiled prince would know how to use them. Aang is vibrating unsure of how to explain that Sokka Might Die if he tried to swordfight Zuko unprepared but now its been too long and it'd be super awkward to bring up.

i genuinely don't care how good a piece of ai generated art or writing looks on the surface. i don't care if it emulates brush strokes and metaphor in a way indistinguishable from those created by a person.
it is not the product of thoughtful creation. it offers no insights into the creator's life or viewpoint. it has no connection to a moment in time or a place or an attitude. it has no perspective. it has no value.
it's empty, it's hollow, and it exists only to generate clicks (and by extension, ad revenue.)
it's just another revolting symptom of the disease that is late stage capitalism, and it fucking sucks.
