Throwing out a question here cause I'm not sure where else to ask it.
My boyfriend is having problems with his boss, who is being, frankly, abusive (though many of you will prefer the term "bully").
He wants to go to HR to report said boss for creating a hostile work environment, but is not sure how to go about gathering evidence. He says a lot of it takes place over calls (by which I'm assuming he means video calls); I suggested screen recording the conversations, but my bf says that his job has a policy preventing that. Does it help at all that he has witnesses?
And before you say something:
- yes, he is looking for new work, but of course, finding a job takes time
- No, it is not just him - everyone there is getting similar treatment
- No, he is not a bad employee - statistically speaking, he is actually the second best employee in his position at this job
Any and all help is appreciated.

The fucking nerve of white women to reject you for a job and then ask you to volunteer for their organisation. Like what if you volunteered to fuck yourself

Is it true that when a job description says one of their requirements is to lift 60lbs that the employee should expect to be lifting things that are 60lbs or less, not 60lbs or more? Cause I had to quit a recent job because they had me lifting boxes that are 115lbs (rough estimate) and thanks to that I now have a torn neck muscle plus have undone all the physical therapy and treatment I had with my arms :/.
I now have to go back to physical therapy, retake medical test, and go on medication which includes muscle relaxants (I was hoping to learn to drive but now I can’t :/) just because they weren’t clear that 60lbs was the minimum and not the maximum for the job. On top of that, hunting for a new job that doesn’t require physical labor (because I can no longer do anything physically anymore) is near impossible.
This just sucks honestly, I have a new job interview lined up but I’m scared that I’ll end up not being able to do the things they want because it’s a somewhat physical job and now I’ll have a huge gap in my resume cuz I don’t want to put them on there if I have problems with them.
Why does society suck :(

I tried to talk on a phone earlier today at my job and one of my coworkers had to take the phone because I began to panic and stutter and forget my lines and the person on the other end changed the script.
Anyway. Reasons why Bones should not be allowed to handle phones #1. Bones has anxiety. Please do not give Bones the phone.

Day 10: “It’s My Name On The Line.”
Original Fiction
Summary: When Klaus gets home tired from a mistake at work, his girlfriend Jenna has a confession to make about its cause.
Comments: This is the second piece I wrote today. It’s over 1000 words! So I’m pretty excited about it. The warnings are probably a bit over the top, but I’d rather be safe than sorry. Enjoy!
Warnings: (Nonviolent) domestic disturbance, potentially(?) toxic dispute/argument.
Excerpt:
Keys jangled in the lock as the knob of the door caught and twisted, the dark oak opening up to the broad shoulders and exhausted face of Klaus as he dropped his briefcase unceremoniously on the couch, kicked off his shoes, and plopped himself down in the nearest recliner with a heavy sigh of relief.
“Bad day?”
Jenna stood just across the room from him, a half-empty basket of laundry balanced precariously on the edge of the mahogany coffee table as teetering piles of clothes lined the loveseat by the window.
Klaus sighed again. “Not particularly, just… difficult. There was a misunderstanding at work today, and it’s making my head spin how it could even have come about in the first place.”
Tossing the keys casually across the room onto the marble island countertop in the kitchen, Klaus leaned back in his seat and dug the heels of his palms into his eyes. “I think I need to take a couple of days off.”
“What happened?”
The couch dipped slightly and groaned as another body settled next to his, the soft leather screeching quietly against the strain. Jenna’s warm, gentle hands settled themselves on his shoulders, and he found himself leaning into the relief.
“I don’t know. I don’t even know how any of this could have happened. None of the papers ever came into sight.”
He nestled into her embrace and felt her hum against him.
“What happened?” she asked again, softer this time, so as not to disturb what little peace he could find.
A weary sigh released from his bones. “Somehow – I don’t know how – my name got signed to papers that I know for a fact I’ve never seen before. Important papers. Papers defining a new structure that’s to be taken to the board for discussion of a new management. Papers that I expressly requested come straight to my office with no delay, and that have the power to make or break my entire reputation. I ordered them with direct instructions to be handled with the utmost care. I couldn’t afford for anything to happen or for them to slip my radar. I was just asking Bernice about them when Mr. Goldfer came up to me with the two-fingered point and requested a little ‘chat’ in his office.” Klaus sighed again, leaning his head back into the headrest of his seat and closing his eyes with a groan. “Somehow, my name got on those papers, and now it looks like I’ve approved an entirely new concept of management that I never even had the chance to question or review. And if the board decides that it’s ludicrous, well…” He opened his deeply expressive eyes, examining every line, every curve of her face before giving a sad half-smile and fluttering his hand in the air. “Bye-bye law career. Hello grocery boy.”
“Oh, stop. It wouldn’t be that bad, would it?”
“I kid you not, Jenna. If this order falls through, an order that I had no say in despite evidence to the contrary, I could very well be looking at a downgrade in my career. Or in life.” He blew a breath through his lips and scuffed a strand of hair which attempted to fall into his eyes. “Whichever comes first.”
“Klaus… what if I knew how that little mistake came to be?”
Like a dart, his eyes narrowed, and he paused, appearing to be taking in her features in an entirely new light.
“What did you do?”
“Promise you won’t be mad, okay?”
“What did you do, Jenna?”

Bc I can’t find an actual job I can physically go to rn and don’t really have any form of transportation to even get to a place of work… I’m just going to start giving myself the energy to do something I can do at home that’ll make me some money but something people actually will want to endorse that I can actually meet demand with and will want to do or have the energy to do.

Tumblr’s great because there is almost no other social media platform where I can talk about how much my boss is a prick without consequences ^_^
Like how I informed him of my chronic migraines in the beginning of my employment and am now being accused of playing hooky because he has no reading comprehension and thinks that I called out for several different illnesses.
No, Seth, it was all still migraines and I even agreed to come to work today. Migraines can have several different triggers and you told me not to come in.
And when I pointed out that my migraines are most likely getting exasperated by the back to back 12 hours shifts (with no breaks because I work these shifts alone and can’t leave the vulnerable client), you tried to say that I would be cutting my own hours because you don’t have non-12 hour shifts available.
Firstly, I know that’s bullshit because I used to have 4, 6, and 8 hour shifts. Secondly, I know that’s bullshit because I see the broadcasts for non-12 hour shifts that you send out every day.
You’ve made it perfectly clear that you support actual child/elder abusers and drug thieves more than me at this point, so just fire me so I can get unemployment to hold me over until I find something better and I can report your ass for all this illegal shit your company is up to.
Like not doing background checks or proper CPS reports.

I don't want to be here, I don't want to help anymore.
"You're an adult, you need an income."
They're not paying me.
"You're working towards it."
I want to leave. I'd rather do something I like.
"A job isn't about something you like it's about making money."
I'm not being paid. What's the difference then?

Astrological Remedies for job Problem
Astrological remedies are believed to help alleviate various challenges in life, including job-related problems. While astrology is not a scientifically proven method, some individuals find solace in following certain remedies based on astrological principles. Here are some astrological remedies that people often consider for job-related issues:
Tumblr media
Vedic Mantras: Chanting specific mantras associated with career and success, such as the Gayatri Mantra or the Vishnu Shurangama, is believed to bring positive energy and help overcome obstacles in one's professional life.
Gemstone Recommendations: Astrologers may suggest wearing certain gemstones based on an individual's birth chart. For career-related issues, gemstones like yellow sapphire (associated with Jupiter) or ruby (associated with the Sun) are often recommended to enhance professional prospects.
Yantras: Yantras are mystical diagrams or talismans associated with specific deities. The Shri Yantra is a popular choice for career-related remedies. Keeping a Shri Yantra at your workplace or wearing a small Yantra locket is believed to attract positive energy and success.
Fasting: Observing fasts on auspicious days related to the planet governing one's career (such as Saturdays for Saturn or Thursdays for Jupiter) is believed to help appease the planetary influences and improve job prospects.
Donations and Charity: Making charitable donations, especially on specific days associated with one's ruling planet, is believed to bring positive karma and improve professional circumstances. Donating food, clothes, or money to the less fortunate is a common practice.
Rudraksha Beads: Wearing Rudraksha beads, associated with Lord Shiva, is believed to bring protection and blessings. Specific faces (Mukhi) of Rudraksha beads are associated with different planets and can be worn based on astrological recommendations to improve job prospects.
Astrological Remedial Puja: Performing specific pujas (rituals) dedicated to the ruling planet of one's career can help appease the planetary energies and seek blessings for professional growth. These pujas are often performed by experienced priests or astrologers.
It is important to note that these remedies are based on individual beliefs and faith. While they may provide psychological comfort, they should not be seen as guaranteed solutions to job-related problems. It is always advisable to seek professional guidance from qualified astrologers and combine astrological remedies with practical efforts such as skill development, networking, and career planning to achieve long-term success in your professional life.
