Just finished season 2 of Good Omens… and right in the middle of it I couldn’t help but think what it would be like if Aziraphale and Crowley had a lesbian daughter or best friend and this happened:

*Aziraphale being cute as he arranges his books, while Crowley goes in and out of daydreaming and listening to his husband rant about Jane Auste’s brilliance as an author.

Reader busts through the doors, screaming at the top of her lungs, and scaring the shit out of both of them: “GUESS WHO GOT CHEATED ON!”

Aziraphale: “Oh Heavens, that’s terrible, I’m so sorry dear…” *tries to be supportive and the designated hugger*

Crowley: “Right… *calmly stands up* and where was this, and are they possibly still there or…,”

Aziraphale: “Not the time Crowley.” *he mutters while still hugging and patting the readers back* “Did she at least come clean about it?”

Crowley: *begrudgingly listens and pets the readers head*

Reader: “NO!” *breaks away from the hug with a look of disgust* “I walked in on them!”

Aziraphale: “Good lord—,”

Crowley: *angry demon noises*

Reader: “And it was with a MAN!”

Crowley: “AH now that’s just DISGUSTING— I’m going to go kill them now!”

What kind of hugs they give, homestuck edition:

June: Honestly you don't expect much of them but they still deliver, she can give a really nice simple and comforting hug, the bad thing is that she doesnt give them too much. 9/10

Dave: My guy doesnt know how to give a hug okey, he is baaad at it, he tries, he really does, but it always end up too akward and always ends with an "okey thats enough haha". 5/10

Jade: She is a hugger 100% she will squeeze the air out of you, but thats okay! You know she is just showing her care for you, even if in the process she ends up breaking your back. 8/10

Rose: The akward hugging really runs in the family huh, she tries, but is even more akward than Dave, how does she even manages that? Nobody knows. She will squeeze you a little too hard but you don't know if it's because of love or if she is trying to kill you. 4/10

Karkat: For such an angry fucking guy you expect to be squeeze too hard/too little or see the akwardeness in the air as he shows he doesnt want to hug you, but no, not at all. He will give you the nicest and warmest fucking hug on existence, it honestly kinda pisses you off, but it doesnt last much. 10/10 but it could easily fall to an 8/10 because his hugs are rarer than Rose's and only occure at the right time

Aradia: You know that Jade isnt trying to hurt you when she hugs you, with Aradia you arent so sure, she gives you such a nice and freaky smile after dislocating your shoulder that it kinda scares you. 4/10

Tavros: their a little akward at first like Tavros itself, but after just a moment they become nice and comforting, short but simple hugs + a pat on the back to show his support :) . 8/10

Sollux: Is there even anything to hug on this guy? So spiky and not huggable at all, he doesnt give hugs, at most he will use you as a place to lean back and relax a little. If a hug happens they tend to be short and weird with some akward pats in the back. 2/10

Nepeta: Really nice and comfy to hug, the thing is, she really fucking hates hugs, they are really not her thing. It helps that her moirail is the most unhugging guy on the world. She will hug him but anyone else is a meh at best. 5/10

Kanaya: The queen of what will it be this time? A hug that is barely a hug? Your organs escaping through your mouth after she squeezes too hard? Who knows! And thats all you'll get. 5/10 because she is trying

Terezi: Nope, nope, nooo. You know she is hurting you on purpose, it's not really a hurt hurt like aradia's but she still pokes you like you are a dead animal on the forest and it's always painful. 2/10, will go to a 5/10 if she stops poking

Vriska: For such a backstabbing asshole, she does gives nice hugs, they are rare but can occure from time to the time. At the end she will give a painful slap on the back and akward thumbs up. 8/10 obviously

Equius: The unhuggable guy, can you even blame him for not being good at hugs? He would kill you if he hugs you! Or at least leave you full of sweat, ew. He tries but is not really a hug, he just makes a circle with his arms around you. 1/10 for trying

Gamzee: I feel like they are akward because they are random, always. This situation doesnt really ask for a hug but he is still going to give it. 7/10

Eridan: Long and akward hugs, the worst kind, he is trying but the hugs always last a little too long for anyone to be comfortable at the end. 3/10

Feferi: She gives the best hugs! (Not really) but they are still nice! Is like being hug by a giant fish, weird, slimy and nice you guess? Accidently throws you to the ground when she slaps you in the back. 6/10

Jane: Ohohoho she is the queen of hugs, she always gives them and they are always nice, couldnt ask for more. 10/10

Dirk: Honestly, the worst fucking hug you ever experienced, and you can't even blame him because he was raised by himself and some robots he created, It also doesnt help that he hates them. 0/10

Jake: he will pick you from the ground and spin you around a little bit, they are fun but short lived, a little dizzy at times but thats okay. 7/10

Roxy: the only strilonde who knows how to hug , seriously people, get with the program! Nice, short and simple, she will lean over to hug you because she really is tall, squeezes a little too hard at times but is okay. 8/10

A plethora of random pink lady headcanons bc I miss them sm

Aka a big collection of most of my headcanons of the pinks

Jane laughs at everything, well as long as she’s in a good mood

Olivia loves writing poems, sonnets, limmericks, you name it, she likes writing them

Cynthia pranks all the pinks but Jane falls for them the most

Nancy always has extra fabric handy

Hazel is super sensitive (poor thing)

Jane has a dog, I’m imagining something with floppy ears

Or a calico cat

Either way, Nancy ends up making a little pink lady jacket for Jane’s pet

Nancy makes outfits for every occasion.

Cynthia has little prank toys that she sometimes uses on the pinks

You can’t lie to Jane. She can tell.

On the flipside she is pretty bad at lying herself

Hazel is ticklish. Actually all of them but especially Hazel.

The pink ladies do hand hearts with each other 100%

Cynthia is 50/50 on this.

Jane has the energy of a theatre kid but not at the same time

Honestly I just love the thought of Cynthia coming out and the pinks being accepting

Hazel already knew. She’s THAT observant.

Jane makes little aww noises whenever shes sees them together

Olivia honestly would just be the one to say “get a room.” or something

Jane laughs at her own jokes unapologetically

Hazel isn’t one for messing around with people but she does it on purpose every once in a while.

The pinks have the most wierd inside jokes

So you know when Cynthia was like "We have one unshakable optimist, one cool cynic, one hilarious jokester, and one mad genius" and hazel is their "Logical one?" they sometimes call each other by those titles.

Hazel: I know you’re the hilarious jokester but now’s not the right time Cynthia: Shut up logical one

Jane: We can do this, I think… I’m just the unshakeable optimist.

Bonus Frenchy one: Frenchy has a tendancy to annoy the pinks whenever they are at the facciano’s for sleepovers but it ends up with them just chasing her away

Important Note: due to conversations with other fans and the fact that OP changed their mind after finishing the show, the original order has changed. Please see the replies for more details, as these lovely people have left pertinent arguments.

Okay, The Mentalist lovers, for the purpose of better understanding the characters, I wanna figure out their love languages. So far I've only tried to figure out for Jane and Lisbon. This post will be about them, but I will try to make separate posts for the rest of the characters as well.

Ok so the love languages are: Quality Time, Physical Touch, Words of Affirmation, Acts of Service and Gifts.

We can consider both how they like to receive love and how they like to offer it, as I think it can be different sometimes. Most people consider that what you like to offer is what you like to receive but I don't think it's true (for example, speaking for me, offering gifts is much higher on the hierarchy than receiving gifts)

For offering love, I have made the list considering which ones they resort to express love. For receiving, I have thought about which ones make them feel most loved.

Teresa Lisbon

Offer: Definitely Acts of Service. It's probably what she learnt as the oldest sister (and it's a common one for Oldest Sisters) after her mum died (and especially after her father died) and had to take care of everyone. It's apparent in her relationships with everyone. She is willing to help Jane multiple times barely knowing what he's thinking, she offers help and advice to others whenever she's asked and has the constant vibe of "I'll take care of you."

Receive: Maybe controversial take but...Physical Touch. I know she's not exactly a hugger, but I have had people in my life who seemed cold and distant and didn't offer a lot of Physical Touch...but it was precisely because Physical Touch was so important to them. It was their number one Love Language and you'd have never guessed at first but then it made sense. And I think it's the same for Lisbon. She always offers comfort physically when someone is unwell and she longs to be physically close to them when she's worried about them. (I am thinking about that scene with Grace when she got shot and Lisbon told her "Never worry me like this again", standing so close to her. I am also thinking about the scene where Hightower hugs her and I think Physical Touch could be Hightower's top love language as well.)

Observations: She definitely loves gifts as well, she reacts positively to receiving gifts from the team, as seen in the casino episode when Jane buys her jewelry (even if she returns it), as well as her birthday episode. And I would say that the last one is Words of Affirmations. (she doesn't seem to take compliments seriously, ever. Not when superiors do it, not when Jane does it, not when Walter Mashburn did it or when Grace read that article about her in season 2). And she doesn't like to bring attention to herself or her achievements. Honestly she looks like she had to train herself to react with "Thank you", when she receives lovely feedback or compliments. (maybe that could be a fic hmm). I am not sure about the other remaining two, I feel like they could go either way, but I'd put AoS before QT simply because she offers love like that. Also I think she's the type of person who would feel love fiercely even if she doesn't have a lot of Quality Time with that person.

As for offering love order, I don't have a lot to offer as argument, only that I have thought which ones seem to appear more frequently (and make sense for the characters). As such, Lisbon offers a lot of encouraging words and advice, and resorts to Physical Touch in special moments. We don't see her engaging in much quality time with others. While she offers gifts, it's not among her first ways of showing love and care (as opposed to Jane).

Finally - Personal opinion on the order of offering love: Acts of Service, Words of Affirmation, Physical Touch, Quality Time, Gifts

Patrick Jane

Offer: Edit: There is no doubt after finishing the show that his top offering love language is Gifts. It was hard to see previous to Season 6, as he does not do it very often, but there are signs even in S5 and earlier. (ex: the jewelry and watches in the casino episode, the strawberries he buys for the team as an apology...sometime in S1-2, the gifts he gets the team in the Dinosaurs episode in S5) And after those two years, there are indeed the gifts he buys for the new team to get in their good graces and the things he likes to offer Lisbon. He enjoys getting things for the people he loves and knowing he's right. (when he buys Lisbon the wedding ring and doesn't want her to come, because he'll know what to get and he'll enjoy surprising her). If he cannot offer gifts (or is not particularly close to people), he offers Words of Affirmation, which is why perhaps I was tricked at first into thinking that was his main love language. But I stand corrected.

Receive: This one is rather difficult. I am quite sure that Words of Affirmations is pretty high on the list (due to how shy but proud he gets when Lisbon compliments him on something, but then again it could be a praise kink as well lol); however, I am not sure if it is the top love language for him. But if Words of Affirmation weren't his top receiving love language, then my bet would be on Quality Time.

And I don't have a lot to offer to back up my argument except that he is a man that enjoys life (time) and enjoys having a good time. At least at the beginning of the show, he is the type of man that would postpone an investigation to sit on the beach and build sand castles, that would go to a casino with the purpose of learning about the investigation and who generally inserts himself as much as possible in order to be able to figure it out. He is making tea constantly for himself (not that it's much of an argument but the point is that he's making his life pleasant where he can). Up until season 5, he spends most of his time in the bullpen, on the couch, where he can be with everyone. He loves being in a space where everyone is just existing and doing their thing (him reading or napping while they're talking or working for example). And I think that him being more cooped up in the attic in season 5 is actually a good point for it. When his hunt and obsession for Red John are at their highest, he is at his lowest (particularly emotionally). So he is even more withdrawn, feels disconnected. And while all of the love languages are more muted in this season, I think the fact that he has less quality time both with the people in his life, and with life in general are the biggest red flag that something is amiss. (he doesn't even sit long enough to watch the film properly when he meets up with Stiles.) Additionally, I can think of other moments in previous seasons where he'd just wanted his people's company (sharing an ice cream with Lisbon, going to drinks with the team, etc.). Overall, he gives me the impression that you'd destroy the man emotionally if you just told him "I just want to spend time with you." (or if Lisbon told him that) - especially since he's probably a bit used to be considered annoying and unwanted.

Edit: Indeed, I will remain of my opinion that his top Receiving love language is Quality Time. The most important thing to Jane is to spend time with the people whom he loves - particularly Lisbon. Indeed that receiving gifts is much higher on the list than previously stated (he really appreciates them and he's always blown away when he receives something from Lisbon, but he does not expect them and it seems that he does not want to receive gifts on his birthday).

However, I like to back up my arguments, so I will present my reasoning backed up by some evidence. First we have the letter that he sent her while he was away: "I've been meaning to apologise for leaving you on the beach that night. You being absent is the one thing that made this new chapter strange and sad."

Secondly we have the love confession. As some people have pointed out already, what really bothered Jane was not that Lisbon was dating Pike ('What matters the most to me is that you're happy'), but that he would not get to see her every day anymore, that she would go away. And perhaps that she would go without knowing how he felt about her.

Thirdly, there's little things, such as changing the reservations for their weekend getaway, and preferring their wedding to be a very small affair, just a thing shared between them two. (even if he makes concessions for the family and close friends)

Observations: After finishing the show, I can say that Physical Touch is much lower on the scale of love languages for Jane. He doesn't really touch people a lot, except when he has a reason (including Lisbon. You can notice in the above statement, that he is telling her that he wants to spend time with her, but still holds his hands intertwined to himself. Nothing wrong with that, of course, but if Physical Touch was important to him, he would be more open - see Lisbon's posture.) I would say Acts of Service is the last one, still, because he still has a lot of trouble accepting help, and prefers to do things by himself.

Finally - Personal opinion on the order of offering love: Gifts, Words of Affirmation, Quality Time, Acts of Service, Physical Touch.

The creeps and the kinds of hugs they give

Tim - gives really tight hugs, however he is really awkward with it and only likes it if they only last a few seconds unless something serious has happened, had does the awkward back pat when he's done

Brian - lifts you up and cracks your back, incapable of a normal hug if something serious has happened he places a hand on your shoulder for comfort

Toby - experienced hugger, he knows how to hug you in the perfect way, will accidentally break your back if he isn't careful

Jeff - he will push you away and say he hates hugs and touching people, he'll hold on a little longer as you co to pull away because he secretly loves hugs but will kill you if you mention it

Slenderman - *ominous static* he either won't hug you or will make to hug you and fling you across the room

Shopping Urban by Jane Shore

Flip-flopped, noosed in puka beads, my daughter breezes through the store from headband to toe ring, shooing me away from the bongs, lace thongs, and studded dog collars. And I don't want to see her in that black muscle tee with SLUT stamped in gold glitter shrink-wrapped over her breasts, or those brown and chartreuse retro-plaid hip-huggers ripped at the crotch.

There's not a shopper here a day over twenty except me and another mother parked in chairs at the dressing room entrance beyond which we are forbidden to go. We're human clothes racks. Our daughters have trained us to tamp down the least flicker of enthusiasm for the nice dress with room to grow into, an item they regard with sullen, nauseated, eyeball-rolling disdain.

Waiting in the line for a dressing room, my daughter checks her cleavage. Her bellybutton's a Cyclops eye peeking at other girls' armloads of clothes. What if she's missed something— that faux leopard hoodie? those coffee-wash flares? Sinking under her stash of blouses, she's a Shiva of tangled sleeves.

And where did she dig up that new tie-dyed tank top I threw away in '69, and the purple wash 'n' wear psychedelic dress I washed and wore and lost on my Grand Tour of Europe, and my retired hippie Peace necklace now recycled, revived, re-hip?

I thought they were gone— like the tutus and tiaras and wands when she morphed from ballerina to fairy princess to mermaid to tomboy, refusing to wear dresses ever again. Gone, those pastel party dresses, the sleeves, puffed water wings buoying her up as she swam into waters over her head.

i love how both jane and lisbon aren't huggers but they love each other's hugs. jane always hugs lisbon and usually she's like "wtf" but as the show and their relationship progresses she slowly starts to melt into his hugs. god i just can't put my love for them into words. i love them so much.

The Slender Family Meeting The Splendor Family

Basically, Slender is Splendor's older brother so they basically knew each other their whole life.

Trickster Ben and Ben Drowned's first meeting was not as awkward as most of the other creepypastas due to their mutual love for gaming.

Jeff the Hugger and Kindhearted Liu's first meeting with their once removed cousins was very awkward.

"Liu, why the heck do these guys look like us? Are you guys from a different dimension?" Jeff the Killer and Jeff the Hugger would ask their brothers in confusion and panick.

Homicidal Liu would try to break the tension by complimenting Kindhearted Liu's outfit like the mature brother he is.

Cutie Jack would be very nervous around Eyeless Jack due to Eyeless Jack's uncanny appearance and they would just stare at each other awkwardly.

Joker Jack and Laughing Jack are the only ones who genuinely get along from the get go due to their similar tastes in interests.

Callie and Sally got along with each other since Callie was adopted by the Splendor Man.

They would basically have a tea party when they first meet and get along with each other quite well.

Jenny Smile would be terrified of Jane The Killer because of Jane's motivation for revenge.

Jane most definitely has tried to kill Jenny first time they met as Jane saw her nothing more than a rip off of her.

Carnival and Spring's first meeting with Masky and Hoodie would go something like this: "so you guys work for Splendorman?" "Yup. And you guys work for Slenderman?" "Yup." "That's cool."

Tic Tock would try to talk to Toby only for Toby snarl at him in disgust, not wanting him to get near him.

The Happy Puppet and the Puppeteer's first meeting went smoothly when they found out their love for puppetry and they even bonded over that by making puppets for themselves.

Baby Zalgo (aka Zal) and Zalgo's first meeting was the worst as no one liked Zalgo anyways.

He broke into the Splendor mansion anyways and saw Baby Zalgo and he decided "I'm gonna kidnap this child and raise it as my own so I can use it against my sons."

Baby Zalgo would ironically be terrified of Zalgo and wouldn't want him near.

Is your OC a hugger or do they not like that sort of affection? Do they initiate a hug or get roped into them?

Christie loves hugs and soft physical affection (holding hands, touching Mr. John's jaw tenderly, etc). Mr. John isn't accustomed to so much physical affection, especially in public, but finds himself enjoying it more and more

Forehead kisses or hand kisses?

Both!? If she had to choose, definitely hand kisses! 😘

What makes them blush?

Being caught off guard. She can give attention and make flirty remarks and soft touches to Mr. John, but if he initiates it without her expect it, she definitely bushes and can't hide her unexpected smile.

Laura Day

What calms they down most when they're anxious?

Levi singing or playing his guitar, hands down. It doesn't matter what is happening or what is going on, just hearing him sing and play just brings her a wave of peace and comfort, like the best and warmest hug.

What's a childhood memory they cherish most?

Laura enjoys singing. She never felt she was really good at it, but she did enter a school talent show and came in 2nd place. She never expected to even get noticed, so to get a little trophy for it, she treasured it forever.

What's the most touching gift they've ever received?

Pretty much everything Lily has ever given her is her favorite. But the first Christmas after Guy leaving, Lily made her a finger painting that said best mom and had her thumbprints as a heart. Lily was so proud of it and even got help from a neighbor to get a frame for it.

As Lily got a little older, she started a scrapbook for her mom. She hasn't given it to her yet. She was thinking about giving it to her mom on her 18th birthday or before she leaves for college. This way she can relive all the memories they had together even when she is not there.

What's their most treasured possessions?

Olivia's most treasured possession from her childhood is a toy stethoscope she got when she was 5. She loved diagnosing her stuffed animals and dolls.

What's a guilty pleasure of theirs?

Hallmark Movies. She knows they are so cheesy and predictable and yet she likes to yell at the tv when there is a simple misunderstanding pulling the leads away from each other. Bryce enjoys watching along, more for Olivia's dynamic viewing of them, then the films themselves.

Does your OC wrap themselves into a burrito to sleep or do they get tangled in the sheets?

Olivia starts the night with the intention of sleeping peacefully but eventually finds herself wrapped in the sheets. She begins the night cozied up close to Bryce, relishing his warmth. However, somehow by morning she ends up getting tangled in the sheets. Bryce helps untangle her every morning.
