I think Equius could’ve been quite a fine person, had he been given the room to grow up. He’s like Jake to me in the sense that he’s **one of the only characters I genuinely wouldn’t mind seeing expanded upon more**, provided he be taken seriously, and not completely sanded down.

What does the part in the asterisks mean? Like, you don't want to see anything more from this franchise on the majority of characters? I'm confused.

Also, yes, that is absolutely what I meant. I feel that most of the Homestuck cast has served their purpose as characters, and I do not desire to seek out more with them. This is a big reason why I have zero interest in Post-Canon, Dub-Canon (aside from Paradox Space), Fanfiction, and Fanventures mostly based in exploring the characters more. I do not personally think most of them need further expansion, so further expansion tends to not interest me. Especially not in the direction people tend to take it.

Equius and Jake, however… I do have some interest in the idea of them being expanded upon, but I don’t think I’d read anything that provides that. The theoretical interests me, but I find most fanwork somewhat… Lacking, with the heavy focus in shipping and headcanon. Too “fandom-y”, basically. Hal is also on that list of characters I really wouldn’t mind more of.

Only I am allowed access to the Alpha Trolls, but everyone else can have those three. I’m hoarding my 12 like a dragon.

I get that the Homestuck characters are all supposed to be parodies of 2010s things on the internet, but like what are all the trolls supposed to be. What the fuck is Feferi supposed to be?

Karkat's is more obvious of being the type of trolls and rage posters that uses ALL CAPS whenever arguing someone. Nepeta is based on roleplayers. Terezi is a 1337 speaker. Sollux is a computer programmer/hacker kind of troll. Eridan would be a hipster, though will be mistaken as an incel in today's standards. Gamzee's a stoner. Equius is more based on Hussie himself, at least for the fascination of horses. I'm not sure on others. I think it's more based on fancy way certain people would type online. From things like "Kanaya's Having Each Letter Capitalized". Tavros having lowercase and then suddenly CAPS LOCK on, Vriska and Feferi having a certain letter be replaced with a number or symbols. The type of Internet posters and cliques didn't really boom until 2014. When stuff like tumblr, anime, Youtube, and other social media sites have given people a better chance to talk with others about their interests in things like video games.

Do you remember that part in openbound when Damara gets onto the meteor and Terezi says, "Hey! If you get any closer to him(Karkat), I will fucking kill you!" Do you know what that was about? As far as I'm aware, Damara wasn't hostile with the kids, troll or not. But I could just be forgetting.

It’s a mirror to Latula doing the same thing with Mituna when Damara showed up. Damara hasn’t done anything to Karkat, it’s just Pyrope Protectiveness.
