If I were a rock, what rock would I be? Covered in ivy, sat beneath trees? ... Ambrose is the biggest rock that lives here ... not that he's in the pictures today ... he informed me that the concert last night had wrecked his rocky head, and that some of his relatives would be posing instead. Thelma is first, with Tring and Tryng at her feet ... then we have Wallace, whose smile is a treat ... and last we have Devlin who sang such a note, that the undergrowth came and gave him a coat. i've just finished watching pjo tv and i'm so fucking happy. I honestly have no words, seeing something that meant sm to me when i was like 13 (it still means a lot to me rn, i mean i reread all the books at least once a year, but idk it was different when i was a teenager and i was reading it for the first time) was amazing. i'm experiencing a type of joy that i've never felt before. Everything was so perfect, just like i always pictured, specially camp half-blood, the little details like the strawberry farm <3333

And i loved the actors sm like they are so perfect !! specially grover !! idkwhy but i saw aryan my firt thought was that's grover !! like he is just a little guy !!

Also the relationship between percy and sally made me so happy and kinda sad at the same time, when he said "i'm sally jackson's son" that was so important to me, i cried a lot <3

OOO great question!

(let me preface this by saying that my characterization might not be everybody’s, and that’s okay. my characterization is “the one” in my head, but that doesn’t mean it has to be everyone else’s “one,” and neither i nor the fics/authors i mention below are “better” in any way, shape, or form than anyone else. everyone in this fandom writes amazing works, and i’m sure there are so many wonderful fics with phenomenal regulus characterization that i haven’t read yet)

i’m gonna sound like a cunt here, but my own fics take first place for me💀i write for myself, so i write the regulus i perceive, yk? but here’s (some of) my reggieverse of madness:

@imdamagecontrol’s regulus is amazing in every fic they write, i.e. in paint it black, which to me really shows not only his “duality” but everything in between (and he’s got the cutest little nose freckles), and i’m really really excited to read more of their regulus study, all these terrible things

user georgia_sk on ao3 (i’m sorry if she has tumblr! i looked for it to try and tag her but couldn’t find it) wrote an amazing fic called whatever happened to the young, young lovers? that really encapsulates regulus for me as well

edge by @pinkpalaceapartmcnts is another one i’m obsessed with

when you were mine by @sequinhaze — their regulus has me giggling kicking my legs kissing the ground he walks upon

sugar high by user ivycore on ao3 (again, couldn’t find their tumblr, so if they have one, i’m sorry!) really explores the toll regulus’ upbringing took on him (+ it’s age gap jegulus with sex worker regulus!!)

devotion by @woobyo has a fucking amazing dark regulus characterization

of his bones by @sophsicle is incredible in how it portrays not only the “purist” mentality he’s fallen victim to + how he deconstructs that, but also the burden on regulus’ shoulders that he learns to take on and grow into

i could go on forever and ever and ever, but these are just the ones off the top of my head that i adore.

I honestly don’t know why more people aren’t talking about this fic, because it’s truly amazing and long and I haven’t felt that way about a fic since I read choices last year. It’s a great canon divergent Jegulus, with Slytherin Dorcas, sapphic Lily and good siblings Black brothers. Truly recommending to everyone, go and read it NOW!

Boyfriend by aurorareads. I’m only on chapter 2, but it has jealous (and oblivious) Regulus and I’m totally rooting for it!

Strikes (takes two) by @aureusprongs. British university AU with trans Reg and football! World Cup is approaching and I need something to kick start my obsession + trans Reg!!! It’s only 2 chapters in, but I know where it’s going and trust me, it’ll be sooo good

Muse in secret by winlark. That’s a classic, but it was released all in one go, so missed a lot of the hype it deserves. It is happy Jegulus endgame, but there is an MCD, so just be careful!

SUGAR HIGH by IvyCore. This fic isn’t talked about anywhere near as much as it deserves. It’s very smutty, but the romance has me literally melting and the writing is just top tier!! It’s a findom sugar baby Regulus and this fic gives me purpose in life.

Ogni Parte E Viva by @euphorial-docx, also known as the “non problematic CMBYN”. I think it’s fairly well known, but just putting it out there in case you haven’t heard of it. I haven’t read it yet, but I’ve seen enough snippets and people raving about it to be confident it’s good. It’s downloaded for my flight.

heaven is here if you want it by lesbianregulusblack. The only thing stopping me from reading this fic is the fact it’s a plane crash AU and as I’m about to board on an 18h flight across the whole globe, I’m feeling just a tad bit paranoid. Otherwise I’d be all over this fic, but mind the tags!

Can’t trust his kind by @star-boy-lyn. Vampire Jegulus AU that my friends have been raving on about, so I’m putting it here in case it’s your cup of tea anon!
