BUT AARON HEARS???? AND HE JUST CHOKES ASHSHQHQBAB
this post is 18+, minors dni.
There's not much to eat at a police precinct in Kansas. It's two miles out from any restaurant, and there's a 24-hour burger place halfway back to town as your only other hope. JJ's munching on vending machine cheetos, Blake has instant ramen she'd packed in her go-bag, and Reid has a granola bar he'd stuck in his pocket. Morgan ate an hour ago, so he's not hungry, and that leaves Rossi and Hotch as your only possible dinner companions. There's nothing wrong with that, but you'd have an easier time asking JJ.
In fact, you lean over to the blonde, eyeing her cheetos with jealousy, "I'd suck someone's dick to get a burger right now."
You don't notice the way Hotch's stature tightens, his fingers nearly bending the papers he's sifting through. He's sure you hadn't meant for him to hear, so the logical thing to do is to ignore you. Even if it makes his dick a little hard.
JJ snorts at your crass statement, offering you a chip, "Morgan might have taken you up on that before he met Savannah."
The profiler's eyes widen slightly as he hears his name, and he looks up at you expectantly, "Hm?"
"Nothing," You stick your tongue out at Morgan, "We're teasing you."
Hotch's dick responds to that, too.
He waits five minutes before standing, just enough time to get control of his near-boner. When he's absolutely certain you won't see the faint outline of his bulge through his slacks he stands, clearing his throat and making sure to look at Rossi before you, just in case you put two and two together.
"Okay, who needs to eat?"
You're the first to raise your hand, and Hotch nods at you out of the corner of his eyes. Rossi does, too, and Hotch smooths the fabric of his suit over his stomach, "Alright, there's a fast food joint down the road. It's not gourmet, but it's quick and easy. Y/L/N, why don't you come with me, and Dave, send me your order and you can stay here to work."
"Yes, sir," You chime, happily hopping out of your seat. Stretching your legs feels wonderful, as does the prospect of a burger in your empty stomach. You lead the way to an SUV happily, Hotch trailing behind you, and your phone buzzes in your pocket just before you strap your seatbelt on.
JJ: Gonna suck his dick?
Shut up, you reply, he didn't hear me.
"Alright," Aaron sets both hands on the wheel, "Let me just read Dave's order, and we can go."
"Sounds good," You nod, leg bouncing in anticipation of your burger. Aaron swipes sideways at the message notification on his screen noticing two.
SSA D.R.: Cheeseburger with raw onions, fries well done, medium coke.
SSA D.R.: Enjoy your blowjob.

alanna kennedy, “I always preferred macca anyway”, tillies night out at a bar
competitive streak II a.kennedy
"everyone is going to give us shit for being late!" your girlfriend groaned in annoyance, checking her watch for the tenth time as the uber zoomed through the streets of manchester.
"lani are we talking about the same girls? the girls who are late for movie nights when we're all in the same hotel?" you laughed in amusement, squeezing her leg reassuringly.
"we wouldn't be late if you hadn't taken a hundred hours to try on every single piece of clothing you own." alanna grunted with a huff, thumbs flying against her phone screen.
when she felt your eyes burn into her head she looked up and met your unimpressed glare. "i mean but you look just so gorgeous that its worth it babe. so so gorgeous!" alanna attempted to fix things, smiling charmingly as you only hummed.
"mm thats what i thought you said." you warned as she grinned and kissed your cheek a few times, the uber nearing the restaurant you were meeting a handful of your national teammates at.
by some scheduling miracle a large group of them were all down in manchester with games this weekend allowing for the impromptu meet up. "el is jealous." you chuckled showing your girlfriend the annoyed selfie from your best friend who was living and playing in france.
"film this." alanna tapped your knee as you chuckled but clicked record. "serves you right for living in france carpenter, fuck you and i hope the fomo eats you up!" alanna flipped off the camera as you laughed and ended it, sending the snapchat to the blonde and tucking your phone back in your bag as you arrived.
"thanks mate." your girlfriend smiled appreciatively, sliding out of the car first before holding the door open and a hand out to help you up which you took.
"i've changed my mind, looking drop dead gorgeous or not if they give us shit for being late i will be throwing you under the bus."
~
"alright, pair up and lets get a tourney going!" sam clapped her hands together eagerly as you all hovered by one of the pool tables in the sports bar you'd all moved onto after dinner, losing a few of the girls to their beds along the way there was only six of you still standing.
"not a chance babe!" your girlfriend laughed grabbing caitlins arm as you tried to pair up with her and made a face of shock. "lani!" you huffed in offence as the blonde shook her head firmly.
"i'd just like to win baby, nothing personal." the taller girl winked as you sent her a scowl and someone else drew you into their side. "such a shame you won't be winning then. i'll be taking your girl and the trophy!" mackenzie grinned with her arm slung over your shoulder.
"with her hand eye coordination skills? you can have her." alanna dismissed with a shrug as your mouth formed a small o of shock and even caitlin winced at her best friends words. "you've never even seen me play kennedy." you reminded with a roll of your eyes.
"nah but i do live with you babe, and theres a reason i'm on an undefeated streak at game night. so get ready to lose!" the blonde smirked cockily as you scoffed again.
"hope you're hungry lanz, cause you'll be eating your words soon!" macca swooped in with a grin, guiding you away as you sent your girlfriend a mean glare over your shoulder.
"hope your couch is comfortable tonight lani." cait sighed and patted the taller girls back who rolled her eyes and pushed her away, sam and steph teaming up to play against the two of them for the first game.
you watched on with a silently smug smile at the range of shocked expressions which rocked your girlfriends features as you proved your worth, mackenzie grinning with delight as the pair of you won game after game.
"no way! you bumped the fucking table." alanna scowled as you sunk two balls in one shot, blowing on the top of your cue like a smoking gun before lining up and sinking another ball.
"just call it now! you and cait haven't won a single game lani." sam laughed, she and steph having beat them but no one was yet to beat you and mackenzie.
"nah fuck this, they're cheating somehow!" the blonde huffed dropping her stick onto the table as you sunk a further two balls, winning the game, and storming off to the bar.
"good news! you don't need to get me a birthday present this year, because the look on her face just then...priceless." mackenzie kissed the tips of her fingers as you laughed and pushed her lightly.
"better go do some damage control, hey cait take my place. you might even win a game!" you teased as your friend smacked you lightly and took the cue in your hands, sam setting up the balls for a new game.
it took a few minutes but you eventually located the defender who was leaning against the balcony of the empty smokers area, scowling out into the chilly night air making you smile.
"so is this where the losers hang out then?" you teased appearing beside her as she rolled her eyes and refused to look at you, crossing her arms a little tighter with a huff.
"you know if you'd have just paired up with me like i wanted, you'd have avoided all this horrid horrid humiliation." you knocked your shoulder into her, looking up at her with an amused smile as she groaned.
"don't remind me, should have known cait would be fucking useless." your girlfriend grumbled, flicking you a frown and huffing again before her eyes returned to the skyline. "i'm sure she's thinking the same babe, you sunk what maybe...two balls? and they weren't even for your team." you laughed as alanna groaned again.
"go gloat somewhere else, cockiness doesn't suit you."
"well are you going to be this pouty and moody all night? because i think i deserve a reward for playing so well." your tone shifted as the defenders eyes snapped toward you, seeing the familiar smile tugging at your lips.
"you just want to ditch them?" she questioned a little in surprise as your own eyebrow raised at the unexpected reaction of her not jumping at the opportunity like she normally would.
"no its fine, we can just go back inside and play a few more rounds. i mean i always preferred macca anyway." you smirked as you started to back up toward the door and her face hardened.
you grinned in victory as she surged toward you, taking your hand and practically dragging you toward the exit, calling out a goodbye over her shoulder and ignoring the shouts of protest from your friends in the distance.
"alanna!" you laughed as the blonde called an uber and promptly shoved you against the wall outside the bar, looming over you with a wolfish grin, leaning down so her lips ghosted you and ignoring the ping of her phone that the uber had arrived.
"think i've got a better idea of what i'd like a few rounds of tonight babe."

The Bear: Carmen 'Carmy' Berzatto x Fem!Reader: Business Dinner
Enjoy;) Masterlist
(YES, the plot has changed. I do not own The Bear characters.) Y/N = Your Name
Tumblr media
Y/N's POV
You finish getting ready and you walk out to your living room where you see your boyfriend pacing. He was pacing earlier, but you were hoping he had stopped when you did your make-up. You exclaim, "Carmy, baby, what's wrong?" He turns to you, sees you, and says, "Wow honey, you're gorgeous. I mean, jaw-dropping stunning. Let me see you twirl." You twirl and he says, "I can't believe I'm your boyfriend. I'm so lucky that I have you in my life." You wrap your arms around his neck and say, "I'm lucky to have you in my life too. I've never been happier." He wraps his arms around your waist and kisses you gently. He asks, "Are you sure you want me as your plus one tonight? I'm sure one of your friends would go if you asked." You answer, "Yes, I'm sure. I can't wait to show you off. I'm so proud of you and your success with the Bear. You also said you couldn't wait to try the food at this restaurant, so I'm happy we get to try it together. Why? Where is this sudden hesitation coming from?" He replies, "I just ... I know that there are going to be a lot of business people tonight with their millionaire star boyfriends or girlfriends. I'm not even close to that. Everyone at the party doesn't have anxiety like us and I'm stressed I'll say something wrong. Times like these make me feel insecure about who I am and like being together doesn't work." You ask, "But if you ignore tonight, do you think we work together?" He answers, "Yeah, I mean sh** I love you. I haven't told you that, but I'm nervous and stressed. I don't want to lose you." You say, "I love you too, Carmen Anthony Berzatto. I think you're the sweetest and kindest boyfriend ever." He kisses you on the cheek and you continue, "I know you're nervous, but you'll be okay. We'll be together all night. You won't ever lose me. And I refuse to hear you talk about yourself as worthless and think that. You're worth the weight of the world in gold. You're the love of my life and you're perfect to me. I love every side of you." You kiss and he says, "Ok, if we are going, we should leave before I back out. And, warn me, next time you say my full-time, I felt like I was in trouble." You laugh and you leave the apartment.
Carmy drives you both downtown and you use the valet at the restaurant. It's free valet tonight, but we're allowed to tip.
Outside the restaurant, one of your coworkers waves and walks up with their partner. The coworker says, "Hi, I'm Pippa and I work with Y/N. This is my partner, Jennifer." I introduce Carmy to them and meet Jennifer. We all head inside and ask to be seated at the table together. I know Pippa and she's a good person. She's also very passionate about food. I've met Jennifer once or twice when she drops lunch off for Pippa at work. She seems cool. They should get along with Carmy and not make him feel anxious.
Drinks are being ordered. I know Carmy is still working on staying away from alcohol and being clean. I'm so proud of his journey with it so far. I lean over to Carmy and say, "Check out their Clean Cocktails. It's their version of mocktails and they're really good." He kisses me on the cheek and says, "Thanks babe."
We then get up to get a salad from the salad and appetizer bar. Carmy gets excited to see the fresh fruit and hot fresh bread. The restaurant has some pepper that makes him excited since it's hard to get, so he tells the chef behind the bar that he is the head chef at The Bear and he wants to know more about how they use it/cook it. The chef behind the salad bar says he will send the head chef to talk to Carmy about it after the salad servings are out. This excites Carmy and you're so happy that he is happy.
You both mingle with a few people as you walk back. You can tell some of their eyes linger on Carmy an extra second or just stare weirdly at you both, so you try to keep moving.
As you're eating the salad, the head chef of the restaurant walks up and asks if we want to see the exclusive inside of the preparation of the peppers as well as the meat. Pippa, Jennifer, Carmy, and I follow him to the back. We learn about their process and they let Carmy try, which makes the head chef intrigued. You all try them hot off the pan and they're so good. We then head back to our seats.
The entrees are served and you notice your boss walking over with his wife. Note about your boss, he thinks he's the best boss and the smartest person in the room at all times. His wife is super fake and clearly is only with your boss for the money. Your boss exclaims, "Hello Pippa and Y/N! I don't believe I have had the pleasure of meeting either of your plus ones yet tonight." Pippa says, "This is Jennifer and she's one of my best friends. You also might recognize her from The Chicago Bandits Pro Softball Team. She's the pitcher and the captain of the team." Jennifer shakes your boss' hand. Your boss says, "It's nice that you were able to make it. I'm sure practice keeps you busy." Jennifer replies, "It's the off-season, so I was able to be here. It's a lovely dinner." Your boss nods. To cut the tension, you exclaim, "It is a great event. This is my boyfriend, Carmen Berzatto. He's the head chef and owner of the restaurant, The Bear." Your boss' wife says, "One of my girlfriends said you had lovely appetizers and a fine wine selection." Carmy smiles and says, "I'm glad, tell her thank you. I helped hand-select our whole menu and think it all pairs well with our wines. Our sommelier hand selects it all as well." Your boss asks, "I'm glad to hear you have a sommelier. Do you think that we could get a reservation there for Tuesday at 7:15?" BRUH wtf?!?!?! The Bear is usually full at peak dinner times and most reservations are already fully booked. Carmy pulls out his phone and says, "Sure, enter your details. I'll send a confirmation of the reservation. We'd be pleased to have you." Your boss enters his details and asks, "Will you be working that night?" Carmy answers, "Yes sir, I will." Your boss hands Carmy his phone back and replies, "Good, we want the best experience." Carmy replies, "My staff is highly trained and all have completed training with chefs worldwide. And, my sous chef is the expediter as well. You have nothing to worry about." Your boss nods and then asks, "How did you go behind the scenes tonight? I saw that you all met the head chef too. It took me forever to meet him. I thought he was avoiding me." And for good reason lol ... You exclaim, "Carmen was talking to them about their peppers. The head chef had heard of The Bear and knew of Carmen's work from NYC as well as here, so he was excited to invite us back into the kitchen. They gave us a tutorial on preparing them, and we tried them hot fresh off the pan." Your boss nods and then leaves with his wife. That was weird, ok.
When they're far away, you ask, "Is there even space free at The Bear on Tuesday?" Carmy says, "We always save a few tables for walk-ins, so yes." You reply, "You should put them by the bathroom." Carmy replies, "No, I'm not that mean." Pippa says, "You should spit in their food." Carmy replies, "I don't want it to bite either of you in the butt if he hates it. They won't be at a prime table, but I'll make sure my staff are on their best behavior. I'll even stop by to check in on their meal." Pippa says, "Don't give them a discount. They have the money." Jennifer says, "You're so evil, babe." Pippa laughs. You say, "Yet there was no lie in what Pippa said."
Dinner finishes and light desserts are served. It's sorbet, which is cold and refreshing. Your boss thanks everyone on the microphone and everyone is reminded to pick up the free swag bags by the door prepared by his wife.
Pippa, Jennifer, Carmy, and I leave together. The swag bag includes a bottle of wine, soap made by the boss' wife, socks with your work logo, and extra pens with your work logo.
You tip the valet and you get in the car.
At your apartment, you strip off the dress and slide on one of Carmy's shirts and your pajama bottoms. You go into the bathroom to wash your face of make-up. Carmy walks in, wraps his arms around your waist, and says, "I'm glad I went tonight. I liked being with you. I also will admit that I liked your friends. Pippa and Jennifer were cool. I don't like your boss or his wife. They kind of suck." I laugh and reply, "Yeah, they're not the best. Why did you give them a table this week at your restaurant? Also, I need to rinse my face." You move slightly out of his arms to wash your face then you say, "Ok, we can go to bed." Carmy holds your hand and you both get into bed. You exclaim, "I loved being with you tonight. You're the best boyfriend for going and for putting up with my boss. I feel like I didn't get to show you off as much as I could have. I forget how many people I dislike at work and don't want to speak to. Ugh, I wanted to tell everyone how cool you are and why you're a catch." He laughs, kisses the side of your head, and says, "Baby, it's okay. I think you're a catch too. I'm sure people saw us together and thought we were just the hottest couple." You laugh and say, "I mean we are." He kisses you as he laughs with you.

Business trip (Day one)
I am a counsellor. I analyse customer processes and try to optimise them. Optimising this planet is my goal in life. Some people think I'm a nerd. But I also have another side… Is it wrong that it's 11 o'clock in the morning and I'm feeling horny…? While I'm sitting at a client's desk in a suit and tie, analysing work instructions…? That's actually not that sexy. Maybe it's just hunger. Maybe I should go to lunch earlier today.
The place where I'm currently working is a medium-sized town with maybe 100,000 inhabitants. Could be a few more. Could be a few less. My customer is on the edge of the city centre, and the choice of restaurants in the immediate vicinity is rather limited. My customer recommended a snack bar for my lunch break. Better than nothing.
At 11.30 a.m., the snack bar is still very quiet. The guy who works there is really hot. He's wearing a black T-shirt under his black shooter that shows off his well-defined upper arms. He seems to have noticed you checking him out. He looks at you with a grin. You swear that he's taken a good look at your bum.
We start chatting… I'm a stranger here. Far away from home. Apart from the customer I'm visiting, I don't know anyone here. I ask if there are any good bars in the neighbourhood. He recommends one and says he's going there later….. "Maybe you could meet me there," he says. I have to tell him I don't have any casual clothes with me. Maybe he can help me out…. Yes, he says, he's about the same size as me. But he's only wearing skinny jeans and trainers. I wonder if that's my style. I laugh. Definitely for going to a bar. I reckon we're both 32 in the waist… My thighs are probably a bit more muscular than his. But it's worth a try.
He reckons if they're a bit too tight, squeezing into them would help me. Do I need underwear too? I suspect I won't be able to fit much in a really tight pair of jeans other than a jockstrap. In that case, I'd really have to hope for his help. Sure thing, he replies. That's all he wears!!! He has a black one and a white one. Which would I prefer, unless of course I want a dirty one from his hamper….. The thought makes me lick even more precum. Seriously, it's for a night out in a bar. I'll also happily take a worn jockstrap. Gladly in white. What kind of bar is this, I ask. I mean, can I keep the white button-down shirt on? For the start of the evening, yes, he replies. A lot of the guys there take strip off when the evening gets warmer. And about the pants: he has a white jockstrap in his hamper, but he admits it might be a little stained with his cum from last night. I wonder if that bothers me?
I don't think it's any worse than the precum soaked white boxer shorts I'm wearing now. And I add that it's because of him. I grab my crotch. He does too. About the shirt, I ask him if he has a plain white T-shirt or something. Then I would certainly feel more comfortable in it with jeans and trainers… He has a plain white T-shirt that I'm happily invited to wear.
I arrange to meet him at his house at 20:00. I go straight there. No diversions via the hotel. The afternoon is extremely unproductive. All I can think about is the hot guy and the evening with him. I try to remember the name of the bar. But I can't find it. And everything I find on Google Maps doesn't match the description the guy in the café gave me at all… Maybe I misunderstood him too. And it's not really a bar at all.
Damn, I can't wait to be in this guy's jeans tonight. I'm so annoyed that I travelled to my business meeting this time without sportswear. Otherwise I could have worked out at the gym beforehand.
It's almost eight o'clock in the evening. I'm standing in front of the house of the hunk from the snack bar. It doesn't look like a house at all. More like a warehouse. But there is actually an entrance door to the right of the large garage door. Just a single doorbell. No name… But the address and the house number seem to be correct… I press the doorbell. There is no sound, but obviously there are visual signals. I can see flashes of light through a window. And shortly afterwards I hear footsteps.
I have to take a deep breath when the door opens. The hunk is wearing jeans, probably the same ones he was wearing in the snack bar. But he's taken off his T-shirt. Above the belt, he's only wearing a flashy gold chain. In between, a slim, well-trained upper body covered with well-trimmed body hair. He greets me with a fist bump. "Sick that you actually came. I wasn't sure if I hadn't been too pushy." I swallow briefly. And then I smile "We haven't even introduced ourselves yet. My name is Marcus." He's grinning. Perfect teeth. Bright blue eyes. "Call me Liam. Everyone calls me Liam." He gestures for me to follow him and we enter the building.
It looks as if the offices of the warehouse have been converted into a makeshift flat. Some of the furniture is clearly from an office. Moving boxes are standing around. Not untidy, but not cosy either.
Liam opens a door and we enter a warehouse. Empty except for a food truck, an old Ford Mustang and a Ducati racing bike. I look at him questioningly. "You'll have to excuse me. The whole property was a bargain. But a lot of it is still very improvised." He strokes the motorbike. "My great love," he says with a grin. He asks if I ride a motorbike too. I shake my head. "Big mistake, mate! You should change that!" Liam strides briskly through the hall, opening a steel door at the end opposite the gate. Behind it is obviously his laundry room. Liam points to a laundry basket and says with a grin that I should help myself. He doesn't even pretend to be discreet as I undress. He stops in the doorway and kneads his bump. Naked except for my boxer shorts, I rummage through his dirty underwear. Shit, my boner is building such an obvious tent in my shorts that I might as well not bother. I reach for the first available jockstrap, take off my boxer shorts and put on the urine-yellow, cum-encrusted jockstrap. An unmistakable wet spot forms. Liam has pulled a packet of cigarettes out of his trouser pocket, takes a fag, lights a cigarette and hands it to me. I gave up smoking three years ago. Never mind.
The jeans are stained. The white T-shirt smells as if Liam had worn it several days in a row on hot summer days while cooking in the snack bar. It takes me a while to find two socks that match. Liam goes to a cupboard, takes a pair of worn-out trainers and throws them to me. I can't help but press a shoe to my face and take a deep breath. It smells of many kilometres walked. Liam scrutinises me. He nods appreciatively. And asks me to throw him a vest. "Let's go," he says and stubs out his fag on the concrete floor. He walks towards the garage door. I follow him.
I've had this job as a management consultant for a year and a half. After graduating, I started at a bank, but that was boring. I like travelling around, I like the variety. And I actually like the anonymity. At home, I would never have dared to leave the house in this lift. Here it just doesn't matter. Nobody knows me here. And looking like a redneck makes me horny. With the hot redneck next to me, even more so. It's one of the first warm evenings of the year. We walk through the streets in silence. Liam gives me a second cigarette. Shit, why did I ever stop?
No wonder Google couldn't find the pub. The pub to which the door we're standing in front of belongs seems to have been closed for a long time. The windows are boarded up. The old door has been replaced by a metal building door. Nevertheless, there is a doorbell. Liam presses it. It doesn't take long for a muscular guy with a naked, heavily tattooed torso to open the door. He first greets Liam with a firm handshake. And then he scrutinises me. "Mack, a friend," says Liam. The guy shakes my hand too. God knows I'm no pushover. But he almost crushes my hand. And then he waves me in.
Despite the fact that the building looks completely deserted from the outside, there's a lot going on inside. A good dozen men are hanging around a bar, smoking and drinking beer. Most of them around Liam's and my age. Late 20s, early 30s, sporty types. Jeans, T-shirt. We fit in perfectly. Liam takes off his vest and tucks it into his trousers. Without warning, his right hand goes under my shirt and pinches my nipple. "Bit of a prude, mate?" he asks. Grinning, I take my shirt off. A bloke arrives with three bottles of beer. He scrutinises Liam's chest first, then mine. He hands us each a bottle and says to Liam that it wouldn't be clever of him to bring his own competition. I'm not a bodybuilder… But I am indeed a bit more muscular than Liam. I grin at the guy "Mack, nice to meet you. Always nice to meet Liam's friends." "Mason. Nice to meet you. And I didn't realise Liam had friends." I don't see the icy stare Liam gives Mason. I just laugh and take a sip of beer.
Tumblr media
The place is getting fuller and fuller. Liam knows God and the world. He introduces me to a dozen horny blokes. Everyone invites me for a beer. Thank God, because I have my mobile phone and wallet in my suit in Liam's laundry room. I'm practically at the mercy of the guys here. And they take advantage of it. I remember pissing in my trousers at some point. I vaguely remember throwing up in a totally filthy toilet at some point. And then I don't remember anything else…

This is for you @sillyrabbit81 It's just a short drabble, but I hope you like it 🎁
Happy birthday, my sweet bunny! 💜

Title: Happy Birthday
Pairing: Syverson x @sillyrabbit81
Summary: Sy surprises you for your birthday 🎉
Words: ~700
Warnings: none
A/N: English isn't my first language, so mistakes ahead!

"Come on, bunny. Dress those hot curves in something nice and get ready."
Sy smiles at you after giving you a playful slap on your naked backside.
"I don't know what to wear because you won't tell me where we're going", you reply, pretending to pout.
"Just wear something casual, nothing fancy, not too warm but make sure you look cool."
"That's not very helpful, Sy."
"Okay, babe, why don't you take a shower while I pick an outfit."
"I'm not sure if I like the idea," you laugh, winking at him before you kiss him. "But I guess I don't have much of a choice."
When you are in the shower, you relax and enjoy the warmth and the rich, luxurious shower foam that smells of magnolia and vanilla. Sy gave it to you when you were having breakfast and it was only one of a couple of really nice and thoughtful birthday presents. Actually the whole day has been a gift so far, you think while washing your hair. The time you spent together, the lunch you had at that new burger restaurant, the mind-blowing sex you had afterwards… It's just been a perfect day. But Sy wouldn't be Sy, if he didn't have another ace up his sleeve. He told you he was going to take you out tonight just an hour ago and you have been racking your brains over what his surprise might be ever since. Without any results though, you have to admit that you don't have a clue.
A knock on the bathroom door interrupts your thoughts.
"Bunny…"
The impatience in your husband's voice makes you smile. Whenever he has a surprise for you he turns into an excited school boy who's just so proud of himself and oh so eager to see your reaction.
"Coming!"
You get out of the shower and change into your underwear quickly to see what kind of outfit he has chosen for you.
"This is what I'm supposed to wear?"
You eye the clothes -simple blue jeans, black dilligaf t-shirt, leather jacket, black biker boots- and your husband with a skeptical expression.
"Are we going on a ride?"
"Yes and no," Sy grins at you. "I'll take you to Camperdown and yes, we'll take the Harley but that's not the surprise."
"Camperdown?"
That's the last thing you get to say before he silences you with a kiss and keeps you from spoiling the surprise by thinking too much about his little hint.
The ride is awesome. The warm wind and the sun on your skin make you feel alive, the speed makes you feel free and being so close to your man makes you feel safe. You close your eyes and lean your head on his back for a moment, breathing in the scent of his leather jacket and a hint of his musky cologne.
A few minutes later Sy parks the bike and you take off your helmet. You shake your hair and take a look around before you gasp with a happy grin.
"Manning Bar?"
When you see the location you know this night is gonna be fun, no matter what.
"Yep," Sy smirks, "and I have another thing to add to your outfit."
He reaches into his pocket and hands you a plastic card that's attached to a black lanyard. You take it curiously and a bit nervous, turning it around back and forth before you are able to process the information.
"I know and I also know you've been wanting to. And I thought Ash would be just the right thing."
"VIP tickets! Oh my god, Sy…this is amazing." You hug him tightly, grinning like a Cheshire cat. "Thank you so much baby. I haven't seen a live concert in ages."
This makes you smile even more, because you are aware he's not a fan of the band but you've told him a million times how much of a fan you were when you were younger and you really cannot wait to see them perform again after all these years.
"You are the best, Sy," you say softly, your voice full of the love and tenderness you feel for him. "This is the perfect present…this has been the perfect day."
"Anything for you, bunny."
He kisses you gently on the forehead before adding a typical Sy thing with a teasing smirk. "Gotta make my old girl feel young again tonight, right bunny? And believe me when I say, this is just the start."

The lost Princess of the ocean - six
Masterlist
Nami and Zoro were sitting at the table chatting.
“So what did you do?” Nami pressed. Zoro groaned.
“I kissed her.” He sighed.
Nami's hand flew to her mouth as she stifled a laugh. “What is wrong with you?”
“I don't…I've never…” he clenched his jaw tight.
“Is that why you saved her? Just to-” she raised her eyebrows.
“No, no I…I didn't think…”
“But it's happened, you like her. You know nothing about her.” Nami whispered.
“It doesn't matter, I overstepped, she won't even look at me now.” Zoro sighed, leaning his head back against the wall.
“I don't know, just give her some time.” She grins at him.
Across the mess hall the door opens revealing you. You pause your movements upon seeing them, then slowly shut the door so it makes no sound.
Zoro stood the moment you walked in. Without saying a word you pull a chocolate bar from the cupboard and move across to the table, Zoro slides back down to his position with one leg up on the bench. You sit down in front of him and lean back onto his chest, feeling Zoro release a breath behind you. Nami gives him a knowing eyebrow raise and you a friendly smile. Zoro's right hand drops to your waist, his thumb rubbing circles over the satin of your new dress.
Luffy came bounding, his happiness utterly bricking over. He was in love with his new home. He sat across from Nami and began chatting until Usopp came in.
“Check it out!” He holds up a newly painted Jolly Roger. He and Luffy quickly resolve into a squabble about who was captain, broken only by Nami laughing.
“See this is what it's all about. From here on out it'll be smooth sailing!” Luffy's words are echoes by a canon hitting the water outside the ship
“You had to say something.” Nami groaned.
You all run onto the deck and see the large metal ship coming toward you.
“Grandpa?” Luffy exclaims.
“Did he just say Grandpa?” Zoro asks.
Another canon ball flies through the air breaking the wood of the railing. You all drop to the floor, bits of wood flying around you all. Nami quickly takes control of the situation ordering people around. You drop down with Zoro to the lower deck when Usopp manages to fumble the cannon balls and they roll down to Zoro's feet.
Another cannon fires and the ball is hurtling toward you. Luffy does the only thing he can think of, drawing in air and blowing up his stomach until he is able to bounce the cannon ball back and took out the Marine’s main mast.
“Nami, get us out of here!” He shouts and Nami directs the ship into the mist .
Lost amongst it all your illustrious captain smells food in the air. As if searching out sustenance was his devil fruit power he directed the ship toward the smell. A giant fish comes into view and you all rush to the side of the ship.
“What's a baratie?” Usopp asks, confused.
“Everyone's going to that fish ship.” Zoro says, one hand in his pocket and the other slung over his swords. You feel that uneasy mess once more, fear stopped you from talking, from admitting you knew this place.
“That smell,” Nami breathes it in, "I think this place is a restaurant.”
“Then I know what we're gonna do next.” Luffy smiles.
“Disguise the ship so the Marines can't find us?” Nami asks.
“Sail back to Syrup Village where it's safe?” Usopp is hopeful.
“Nah. Let's eat!” Luffy slaps his hand on the railing before charging off to get changed.
“That fish better have a bar.” Zoro said following his captain.
You quickly changed into a simple black cotton dress with a red belt that wrapped around you just below your breasts.
“Welcome to Baratie. How can I help you?” The concierge greets you all. You're too busy looking around the decor to pay attention to the conversation. Eventually following the group down to a booth sliding in beside Nami, Zoro on your other side.
“Your waiter will be right with you.” The concierge bows his head and walks away.
There is a kerfuffle not too far away that you keep your eyes off.
“No cause for alarm, folks.” The voice pulls your attention. “Please enjoy your meals.” The blonde walks toward your table.
“Hi, welcome to our shitty restaurant where the only thing worse than the ambience is the food. My name is Sanji. What can I get for you?” His eyes fall on you and you drop yours to the table.
“One of everything, please.” Luffy announced
“Any drinks? One of our signature cocktails
to help you choke down your meal?” Sanji can't help but flick his eyes to you every so often.
“Giving us the hard sell, huh?” Nami jokes.
“Apologies, madam, I didn't see you there.
Would you care for an apéritif to start? We have several rare Micqueot vintages in stock.
Or perhaps you'd like a glass of Umeshu?
You know, something sweet for someone sweet.” He grins.
Usopp interrupts asking for a beer, the others order, beer milk and water.
“And for the… madam?” Sanji looks at you. You glance up to him.
“Just water, please.” You ask quietly.
“It's nice to see you again, Miss.” He says, “and looking much lovelier than ever.” Zoro doesn't hear the hint of sorrow in the waiter’s voice, only the flirtation. He clears his throat and moves closer to you, putting his arm around your shoulders.
“I see, I'll be right back. with your drinks.”
“You know him?” Zoro asks. You gulp, and try to hold back your emotions.
“I…I didn't remember this place.” You whisper, your body tensing again. Zoro shakes his head and leans back against the booth, his arms folded over his chest. You dig your fingernails into the seat cushion. When food arrived you hardly touched your plate, eating just enough to keep you from starving.
“I can't eat another bite but it's so good.” Usopp groaned.
“Oh man, you said it.” Zoro agreed.
“I'm not gonna be hungry for a week.” Nami sighed happily.
“Should we order dessert?” Luffy asked.
“I already got mine.” Zoro said lifting his bottle, you rolled.your eyes.
“That reminds me,” Luffy began, "We should do a toast. Come on. Grab your glasses. To the best crew sailing on the sea and to our victory! Yeah!” He called out.
“No, I'm sorry. What victory exactly?” Nami asked.
“Against the Marines. Our very first battle and we crushed them.”
The argument began and you tried to ignore them all. A voice boomed across the dining hall.
“Who the hell is Monkey D. Luffy?” The forbidding man with a wooden leg growled.
“Here.” He replied too proudly. You braced yourself for what was coming. Luffy had tried to pay for dinner with an IOU which Zeff was not okay with. The head chef dragged Luffy into the kitchen.
“I need a drink.” Nami sighed.
“Now you're talking!” Zoro followed her and Usopp to the bar leaving you behind. You slowly slid out from the booth, smoothing out your dress.
“Are you okay, Miss?” The blonde man was back. You nod.
“I'm sorry if I made things harder for you earlier. I thought perhaps you were…” he sighs, not finishing his sentence. “You look very pretty this evening.” He finishes.
“Thank you.” You reply.
“It's nice to hear your voice at last.” Sanji smiles gently. You nod once more, your eyes darting around the room, hoping no one else recognised you. Darting from the dining hall you made your way out of the restaurant and sat on a bench on the jetties.

something something last pride i was in a disastrous gender tailspin doing so very bad on the gender front deeply closeted staying briefly with my parents between apartments working at a normie bar where there was a lot of pressure to be cute and feminine and appealing but the most dysphoric ive ever been because ive been quite masc ever since i realized i was trans when i was fucking 13 and somehow at 25 decided to put my own ass back in the closet and went to pride in a bikini top and booty shorts and fishnets and was miserable with myself and so repressed and had nobody but myself to blame for it and spent the whole time thinking haha wouldn't it be funny to go to the gender clinic booths and get info about testosterone while dressed like this haha how i look with he/him in my bio and all that haha right but i wouldn't because im in denial about being a guy rn haha im just a funky they them lesbian or whatever idk haha. and now just 1 year later i'll be going to pride 6 months on t and having made the first grueling steps of coming out to family and people close to me and i'll definitely be boyly boying it up and its all very surreal and gooooood?
idk it's weird because i feel 100% positive and happy and right about transition so far like... internally. independently. but the social aspect is still very funky and scary and i'm sure that's completely normal because society sucks! it's a sucky cultural situation we're in rn! and it's scary and bad and easy to invalidate yourself and get imposter syndrome and be bitter and jealous and feel weird and scared about being socially out and trying to socially transition and make it known that yeah i know i don't seem like one but actually i'm a guy! and i'm literally still not even saying that i'm still just letting ppl assume im a woman and misgender me bc i'm fucking avoidant and don't have the guts to like correct restaurants when they get my order wrong let alone correct everyone when they get my gender wrong! arrgghhh! but i'm very excited for ~my first pride~ and i hope being in a space where people are expecting it and won't be shocked or confused will give me some confidence and i can be open and at ease there and i can take some of that with me back to everyday life. idk. something along those lines.
also i'm definitely in my fresh out the box overcompensating era lmfao like i'm still nonbinary as hell and i still wanna be fruity and i'm definitely not Just A Guy and i'm definitely not Just Masc and i haveeeeeeeee a really really bad history with that and some big ugly Gender Trauma that makes this stage of like. just trying to be more masc and a dudething. kind of a very bad vibe but i'm doing it on my own terms this time and am aware of how that plays on my mental state and i feel confident that i'll grow out of it and that it's ok for now and as i progress i'll settle back into the things i like because i DO like fruity shit and i DO like the booty shorts and the fishnets and jewelry and painted nails and i'm not fully a dude and there's a sick ass nonbinary trans culture that i'll figure out how to occupy!!!!!!!! but yea i'm accepting that for now i'm just like hrrgnnnghhhh yes im a Man :) a fucking Guy a Dude Bro hahaaaaa

11. special
Tumblr media
not really knowing what to wear, you decided to put on a beige sundress that goes below your knee, wishing that jay wouldn't bring you in a wall climbing type of place.
checking your reflection in the mirror, you fix a strand of hair that's sticking out and iron the dress with your hand, "perfect."
you smiled before hearing one to two honks of car. you decided to leave your apartment. outside, you see jay in his car, waving at you. you went straight to him saying, “good afternoon.”
he unbuckled his seatbelt and went out of his car, opening the car door to greet you, “good afternoon, lovely.” you smile before going inside.
his car smells like fresh flowers, which helps you calm down and not worry throughout the ride. once you've had enough courage to speak, you ask him “may i ask where we’re headed to?”
"i'm taking you to my favorite restaurant." he answered, "don't worry, i won't disappoint you."
you softly chuckle, "i'm looking forward to it."
the drive was smooth and quiet. you think if this was even a good idea because you remember telling yourself to never meet him again, let alone involve him in your life.
but you decided to give him a chance. it's not like you would lose anything. you would just hang out, that's all.
he stopped his car in front of a fancy building. he got out of his car and opened the door for you. he then offered his arm where you can cling your hand into. giving his car keys to the valet guy and you went straight inside.
immediately after a staff member had a glance of jay, she knew right away where to lead us. the two of you are now sitting at a table for two before the waitress hands you your menu.
you look over at jay, trying to get a recommendation from him while he's preoccupied, searching at his menu.
the waitress laughs a little before she pokes jay and points at you, jay widens his eyes. "oh no worries, i'll order for us." he smiled, "but you can order what you want too."
shaking your head no you tell him, "it's okay. you can order for us." he took that as a green light, so he ordered everything in the menu that he wanted you to have a taste of.
you weren't really listening to what he's saying, all you feel right now is admiration. you admired how well he can handle himself. he seems to know what he's doing, and looks like he's an expert with these types of situations.
waiting for the food to arrive, "i hope i lived upto your expectations." jay scratches the back of his nape, "i didn't tell you where we're going to keep the thrill."
you laughed at what he just said, "you made me anxious the whole ride just for you to experience some thrill?" you questioned him, he just smiled at you.
"the cold sweats were worth it. this place is magnificent." you commented, looking around and analyzing the place.
"it's elegant, very. yet cozy." you added, the structural design of the place was finely furnished. there are aerial plants hanging but the sight doesn't really make you suffocate, instead, they help make the surrounding more earthy.
"i know, that's why it's my favorite." he happily said, "and i'm glad you're liking it so far."
not long after, your food arrived. you couldn't tell if jay was very hungry or he just genuinely wanted you to try the food. seeing the number of plates on your table right now, it's enough to feed a whole six person family.
overwhelmed, you don't know where to start so you just stared at the food as they stare right back at you. jay sees your reaction and actually thinks it was cute.
while you're busy getting lost in your own thoughts, he started cutting the steak for you. it just went unnoticed until he switched your plate to his.
"why did you steal mine?" you asked him with full confusion painted on your face, he smirks. pointing at the plate in front of you, "they are the same thing. the only difference is; i already cut that for you."
after cutting his steak, he handed you a small cup with some kind of sauce inside. "try that with the flat bread like this." he showed you how to do it, and you just followed him, "then eat."
you both eat in usion before you hum in surprise, jay smiles for the nth time seeing you nod your head in approval. "that was actually good!" you said.
"it is. it makes a good appetizer." he told you, you both moved on and continued eating the main course. “i’m glad you agreed to see me.” he said.
you look at him, “i’m also glad you brought me to such a good place.” you said a while before taking a bite into your steak. tasting the savor of the meat as you chew it.
silence was the sound of the afternoon as you both ate in peace. he sometimes offers to help you with things like pouring your glass of wine, wiping the sauce from your lips but other than that, you both really didn’t interact that much.
jay had been thinking of what he should say, but he couldn't seem to find the right words or construct a good sentence to initiate a conversation. he only smiles at you whenever your eyes meet his.
but when dessert came, you grew tired of the silence that had been hurting your ears. so you decided to ask him, “how are your butterflies?” it’s funny to ask how his butterflies are.
because if he would ask you the same question, you would answer that yours are in your stomach as you speak. “they’re doing good.” he said, “i’m actually planning if i should free them or not.”
“why?” you ask him, jay looked at you. seeing your face, he knew that you actually cared because it is painted right all over your face. “i just think that i’m holding them back from the freedom that they deserve.”
“but what if their freedom is you?” you blurt out. “i mean- what if they feel like they have all the freedom in the world as long as you’re there by their side?” you panic while you blabber out the words without processing them in your head first.
“sorry, i wasn’t making sense.” you’re talking about butterflies for god’s sake. why would his butterflies even feel that way about him- well they can, but not certain.
jay thinks that it was fascinating that you said that. “no, you are making sense.” he reassured. he never once thought of how his butterflies would feel if he let go of them, he was busy thinking about what they feel in his perspective and never theirs.
instantly after you’re finished eating, you go out and wait for the valet driver to get the car. “we can sit there while we wait.” he pointed at the bench, you shake your head. “it’s fine, we can wait here.” you said, “unless you want to sit.”
he shook his head too and was also about to say something, “jongseong!” a woman shouts as she approaches you. you’re confused, there is no jongseong here. unless your name wasn’t y/n after all.
the woman stops in front of jay, “i didn’t expect to see you here!” she greets him with a hug. he’s jongseong?
you just stood there, quiet. even distanced yourself to give them some space. of course, just the right distance to hear what they’re talking about. “i most certainly didn't expect to see you either.” he said, the woman laughed and slaps his shoulder.
“we’re going to a pub, do you want to come?” she invited him. that is when jay- or jongseong- or whoever the hell he says he is; looks your way so you avoid his eyes, but on your peripheral vision you can see him walk to you.
feeling an arm on you shoulder, you look at his hand while you hear him say, “sorry. i’m with someone.” he said. you expected the girl to go with what he said but she just smiles. “come on! there would be a lot of people.”
she inserts herself in the middle of you two and clings her arm into yours, “she can find more friends there too!” you look away because you don’t know how to respond to her invitation, you barely even know her.
but that was hypocritical for you to say, because it wasn’t that much of a problem when you and jay spent the night at the pub. you were about to agree when something drawn on her arm caught your attention.
it’s the butterfly jay had drew on your arm when you two met at the bar, the same one. the only difference is that yours is already faded while hers is new and visible. you slowly remove her hand that was clinging on your arm.
“sorry, i’m really tired. i’ll be heading home, but jay can come if he wants to.” you told them. the girl lost her verbal ability and just looked at jay, “i’m going wherever she goes.. so, i’ll see you around.” he said.
the valet driver came right on time, jay was about to open the door for you but you opened it for yourself and just went inside his car not saying anything. jay doesn't really know what the big deal is, he certainly doesn’t get why you’re suddenly mad when you were so smiley earlier.
the car ride was silent too, it was awkward but you think that it’s better this way. but jay didn’t. he wanted the talkative y/n he met at the pub, you’re the same girl but why are you acting so cold all of a sudden?
once his car was parked in front of your apartment, you got out of his car and said “thank you.” and rushed inside. not letting him say any word. you throw yourself onto your bed, screaming.
you thought you were special. turns out jay’s just good at making individuals feel like they are, when in reality you are just like everyone else. a person who seeks the love they think they deserve and need.

how they would spoil you on valentine’s day! ❤️(haha i know it’s a bit late but anywayyyy) mine was lacklustre so i just want to imagine what, in another universe, it could have been 😩🤩 xx
Aw this is cute af ❤️❤️ bestie I did nothing for valentines because b was away for work so dw ur not the only one xx
Van
❤️ This boy is peak Leo so you are getting drama!!! You're his girl and he's going to spoil you bloody rotten.
❤️ He's probably one of these where he says he doesn't want to you to do anything for him because he wants the whole day to be special and about you. You don't listen to him, you want to spoil him too but you have already accepted you won't be able to outdo him.
❤️ Heart shaped balloons obviously. Fucking lots of them. Too many of them. Everywhere. You can't bloody move for them.
❤️ He's intense and sentimental, you don't just get a card, you get a love letter scribbled out for you "can't wait till we're in our 80s and still doing this <3" that sort of shite.
❤️ He's going to do his best to make you breakfast in bed. The man with no fridge is going to try to get you breakfast in bed. He's gonna run to the coffee shop in the pouring rain, come back with soaked hair because he fucked up beans on toast, but you're still getting breakfast in bed.
❤️ Jokes about waking up to a blowjob on valentines day. One year you surprise him with it and he's 😍🥵🤤
❤️ Won't let you do anything for yourself all day, you're his princess, you want a brew? He's making it? Leave your phone upstairs? He's getting it. Hes taking this 100% seriously.
❤️ Tries to do candlelit dinner, ends up being candlelit take away
❤️ Dicks you down all night long.
Bondy
❤️ It's ironic valentines with a sentimental touch. He's one of these "don't like the idea of there being one specific day of the year to be in love," because he loves you dearly all the time.
❤️ But he's still making it special because any excuse to get some quality time with his lass
❤️ You're waking up to shoulder kisses, neck kisses all kisses, sleepy cute kisses on the cheek on the nose and then not so cute kisses, deep slow kisses which develop into a lot more than kisses.
❤️ He's picking you up and carrying you to the kitchen, plonking you down on the counter, you can tell he doesn't want to pull away but he does because coffee is very very important.
❤️ He's making vomit worthy cheesy little jokes, you say thanks for the coffee he says "the secret ingredient is love," and winks.
❤️ Whether you like it or not you're definitely going to wind up getting dramatically serenaded to some old motown love songs. Bad dad dancing, hip thrusts and all. You can only hope it's at home and not while you're walking along the bay.
❤️ On your walk you're dropping into the florists and picking a flower for your hair.
❤️ You probably have a favourite restaurant, one you go to all the time and that's probably where you're going, you have a favourite table too which you always get. You're having a boujie cocktail evening at one of your friends bars. It starts romantic, just the two of you, but the rest of your friends that are couples would probably end up coming too and by the end of the night you'd be like a big family all having a class night together.
❤️ Stumbling home together along the beach pished. Hot and heavy sex which starts the second you get through that front door.
❤️ Drunkenly telling one another how much you love eachother and getting kind of soppy and soft but real cute.
Benji
❤️ A traditional boy. Card, chocolates, flowers it's all very very cute.
❤️ A movie in the afternoon, you spend all week debating what you want to go and see, you change your minds ten times finally settle on one, but when you get there you both look at one another. You've changed your minds again but you want to see the same one.
❤️ You go out to one of those wannabe diners, share chips and a milkshake and ice-cream. You're giddy in love feeling silly, you throw a chip at him, he throws one back. Minor food fight. You take a blob of cream from your shake and smear in down your cheek. He blobs yours with ice cream. Uses it as an excuse to kiss you.
❤️ Chilled out evening, duvet on the sofa, hot chocolate and sharing the chocolates he bought you, another movie, video game wars which ends in play fighting when you get competitive.
❤️ Play fighting becomes you pinning him down triumphant because hes letting you win. You're straddling him and when you look down your eyes meet and the atmosphere ✨changes✨
Bob
❤️ THE SWEETEST BOY, THE LOVELIEST SWEETEST BOY
❤️ He's shy about stuff like this, easily embarrassed, but he loves his girl and he just needs to show her how much she means. Because you mean so much to him however he's going to get more tongue tied and shy than usual.
❤️ He's written you some very sweet things in your card though, bought you your favourite flowers and turns up at your door with pastries from your favourite cafe.
❤️ He didn't even tell you he was coming over and you're still half asleep in your pj's. He was just excited to see you and he wants to spend all day with you. You're embarrassed cause you're still in your pj's but he kisses you and says you look just as beautiful as always.
❤️ When you're over the shock and you've enjoyed a lovely little breakfast together, you're going for a walk probably in the countryside somewhere peaceful. He takes so many pictures of you, you're self concious but they're some of his favourite pictures he's ever taken.
❤️ Getting home late and worn out from all the fresh air, falling onto the sofa together and cuddling, you half asleep on his chest. You had plans to go out for dinner but in the end youre both feeling a little tired.
❤️ So you light lots of candles and run a bubble bath to share, washing eachothers hair, covering eachother in bubbles, lots and lots of soapy kisses. Steamy and sleepy cosy vibes but also kind of... Hot ✨
❤️ Splashy messy sex in the bath but we all know that never really works, picks you up half way through and takes you to the bedroom.
❤️ Candle lit beans on toast valentines day dinner, falling asleep together on the sofa. You wake up in the middle of the night, he's carrying you to bed.
❤️ *kissing your forehead* go back to sleep sweetheart.
Sam
❤️Again I'm thinking this is romance with some self aware irony. But also he's awkward and soft and he's paranoid he's going to get everything wrong. He wants it to be perfect but he doesn't want it to be cliche. He wants to do something meaningful.
❤️ Thinks valentines day is a stupid capitalist construct and that it doesn't mean anything if you only spoil your girlfriend one day of the year. If your relationship is a good one then valentines day should be a normal day.
So instead of buying you a card he's made you one and its got the dumbest drawing of two stick people flying through space on a heart or some shit.
❤️He's got you one of those big Milly's cookies heart cookies with his nickname for you in written in icing
❤️You probably do something daft like bowling or that disco crazy golf thing and get absolutely smashed together.
❤️Competitive af with one another arguing about who won all the way home. You decide to stop in your local on the way back for a decider, a game of pool, whoever wins that wins all of valentines day.
❤️At this point though you're both soft drunk and gooey for one another. He keeps using the game as an excuse to be near you, keeps showing you how to hold the cue better, helping you make your shots. He basically helps you to win.
❤️Walking home together hand in hand, he keeps pulling you in closer, you stop to kiss him and he surprises you sweeping you off your feet. It's cold but the sky is clear and you decide to walk down to the beach. You stop in a shop for a bottle of wine, sit by the sea and share it, taking swigs out the bottle like you're pirates.
❤️ Kisses you all the way home. You're having soft drunk sex on and off all night basically.

Part 14 - Finale
Tony Stark stood at the opposite end of the square. He was staring right at the restaurant on the corner. The restaurant with the lovely view. The restaurant with the nice outdoor seating area. The restaurant he was to be at tonight.
Tony clenched his fist beside him. He just needed to get the rights to the building. He needed Helmut Zemo to accept the cheque and sign it over.
Sure, the restaurant looked fresh and new, but no amount of make overs would save it from the wrath of Tony Stark. He was a man with a plan, and tonight he would come out on top.
His eyes narrows on the movement in the window. Someone he didn't recognise was checking over the tables. With a sigh, he turns on his heel and disappears.
Veronica had a clipboard in hand with a checklist. She was checking off everything and making sure the whole restaurant was ready for tonight. You were by the bar with your own clipboard, going through a list with Sam.
"That's everything. Think you can handle it?" You ask him, looking over the shelves behind him.
"With Bucky and Natasha here, I think we got it. Just waiting for those coffee beans."
"Natasha has gone to get them. I got a few bags, though I think people will be more interested in your end of the bar," you chuckle.
Sam winks at you.
"I've got many tricks up my sleeve."
"Blow them all away!"
You check off the drinks list and turn around to face Veronica.
"All menus out?"
"All accounted for," she replies. She smiles and checks off her own list.
"Good. Left or right?" You asks.
"Right."
"Right is your side for the evening. I'll have left and outside."
"I can help with outside," she says.
"Outside is neutral territory then," you chuckle. She nods and you both mark it down. "I'll go check the kitchen, the waiting staff should be soon, make sure Wanda knows."
Veronica nods and you head into the kitchen.
Helmut has his back to you as he gives out orders. Chefs are spread throughout the kitchen, each with their assignments. You smile at the way he is handling it all.
You let him finish giving out orders before coughing softly and calling his name.
Helmut turns instantly and smiles at you.
"How's it going, chef?"
You haven't called him that since the day you made that paella with him. His lips curl into a mischievous grin as he steps closer to you.
"All is well in my domain. How about out front?"
"We are ready for the main event."
He kisses you.
"Your father would be so proud of you," you tell him.
Hearing you say that makes his heart flutter. That's all he ever wanted to do.
"Something smells delicious," you say, laughing softly.
Helmut glances over his shoulder.
"That could be a number of things."
You both laugh together before you kiss his cheek and let him crack on with it. You made a promise to see him later when you both head home to change.
When you go back out, Wanda is with her staff for the night. Wanda was beyond excited to play head waitress tonight, she wanted to be as useful as she could to you. You assured her she had ways been helpful. After all, she did play match maker.
Wanda turns when you approach, dismissing the staff who go ahead and make themselves busy with Veronica.
"Are you excited?" Wanda asks.
"I'm nervous. Tonight has so much to prove."
"We can do it."
"I know," you sigh softly. Wanda pulls you in for a hug.
"We're a team, we're going to do this."
You nod. You both take a deep breath together and smile.
"Let's finish the final touches and get our asses back so we can all change for the evening."
You nod and go through the last checklist.
Back at the apartment, you change your clothes. As a host you wouldn't be wearing your apron, so you wore something smart and presentable. Helmut was all ready to go, his apron back at the restaurant. He was just waiting for you to finish up.
When you were done, you stood in front of him in the living room.
"Ready?" He asks.
"Ready."
You take Helmut's hand and kiss him as he leans in. You both smile and leave the apartment.
It was becoming very real now.
You arrive at Escorpión Morado. Helmut has all staff gather in the kitchen. You stand beside your boyfriend as he faces his staff.
"We only have one shot to show Tony Stark that this is my restaurant. One shot to prove that we're not irrelevant. Escorpión Morado has stood here this long and it will stand for many years to come. He can offer me all the money he wants, but I will never sell my father's pride and joy to him. I need everyone focused, ready, and open for any changes. Nothing can go wrong here."
Everyone replies with 'yes chef!'
He turns to you and nods. You nod back and gesture for Veronica to follow. Wanda and the wait staff follow behind, Sam, Bucky and Natasha behind them.
You and Veronica stand in front of the doors. You can see all the people you invited waiting to come inside. The butterflies in your stomach are having a ball.
Sam, Bucky, and Natasha take their places behind the bar.
Wanda and the waiters stand to one side of the room.
You take a deep breath and put on a smile as both you and Veronica open the doors.
"Welcome everyone."
One by one you guide them inside. Veronica and yourself guide people to tables, having accounted for everyone you invited. That included extra guests of which you anticipated Tony to have considering you went to his party with more than he bargained for.
You smile, greet, talk them through the menu.
However, all but one table was full. You cast glances at Wanda, Natasha, and the boys. Each of them shrug.
Tony hadn't arrived yet.
Helmut stands by the kitchen door. You lock eyes with him and shook your head subtly. He glances toward the door and grits his teeth slightly.
Stark was doing this on purpose.
You turn to fine other guests. They're all local people. Some have been here since the restaurant was first built. Some who came here as children. Some who had been every day. They knew this place. They knew Helmut. They knew why this was happening tonight.
You smile at those who recognise you for your hard work these last few weeks.
"It's wonderful to see everyone. Thank you all so much for coming, though it appears our V.I.P of the night is running late. I hope you'll be happy to wait just a moment longer. Though, should he not arrive soon, we will just have to start without him."
There were no signs of negativity. They agreed to wait.
You looked at Sam.
"Perhaps drinks are in order?" You smile at him.
"Coming up."
Wanda nodded at the waiters. Each of them pulled out a notepad and began taking orders for drinks. You turned back to the door and waited.
"Where do you think he is?" Veronica asks, coming over to stand beside you.
"No idea, but he must be up to something."
Just as you said that three figures appeared up ahead. They walking across the square together. You narrow your eyes trying to work put exactly who they were. You knew for a fact none of them were Tony.
As they got a little closer, you could see them.
Pepper, Strange, and Heike.
You wanted to scream, but you were going to be a professional. He sent is entourage ahead.
As they come to the door, you greet them the same way you had everyone else. Heike was looking at you with such a piercing gaze, but you didn't let that bother you.
"Come in, Veronica, will you show them to their table?"
"With pleasure," she says, though not for a single moment did she mean it.
You watched as they followed Veronica to their table, but then turned back to the open door.
Helmut came up beside you, his hand on your back.
"Nothing?"
"Not yet. His party are here though," you say nodding at the table. He glances over and sighs when he sees Heike looking at him. She looks eager to gain his attention.
"Want me to wait with you?" He asks.
You shake your head.
"No, go back to the kitchen. We'll start taking orders now. You need to be ready for when they come in."
He kisses your temple and makes his way back to the kitchen. Heike rises from her chair and stops him at the kitchen door.
"Can we talk?"
He glares at her.
"No."
He pushes on and goes into the kitchen, not wanting to hear any more.
You turn Wanda and nod at her. She claps once and the waiters are on the floor taking orders. You pull put your own notepad and help them out.
You smile as you take the order for the nearest table. A lovely old couple who remember the days Heinrich ran this place. You chat with them before heading to the kitchen.
Orders are already pinned up and ready. Helmut is there to take your order. You smile at each other as you hand it over. He pins it up and shouts it out.
You wink at him and head back out front.
Headlights. You can see headlights at the other end of the square. Everyone in the restaurant can see them, all turning to look.
You stand by the door.
A red sportscar.
Tony Stark.
It cruises across the square. How he managed to get it there, you will never know. This square wasn't for cars.
It cruises along, only coming to a stop by the door. The headlights turn off and the drivers door opens. The man of the hour climbs out and turns to you. He closes the door and comes to stand in front of you.
"I hope you're hungry Mr. Stark."
"Starving."
You gesture into the restaurant. He walks in. Veronica shows him to the table and holds his chair out for him. The room was silent as they watched him take his seat. Veronica steps back and looks at you.
"As you were," he calls out.
You nod at Veronica who gets him a menu and takes his starter order.
You walk up to the bar and look at Sam. He already knows what you want. You had discussed it with him before hand. He pushes the drink across the bar to you.
You take it and present it to Tony yourself.
"Morado de Verano."
He takes it. He looks at it. He smells it.
You stand there and watch.
He sips it.
You are the way he seems to freeze for a moment. He tastes it. He's annoyed by how good it is. You can see he likes it, but he won't admit it.
You smile.
Sam sees you smiling. He gives Bucky a little high five behind the bar.
Just as you walk away, the waiters comes out with the starters. They flood the restaurant and present their dishes. You head into the lit hen to help.
Helmut looks up immediately as you enter.
"Well?"
"He's here. I gave him a drink. Veronica took his order."
"I have it," he taps the order.
You nod and take one of the orders waiting. Helmut tells you which table it is for and you nod.
"I love you!" He yells, before you leave his sight again.
You laugh and yell back, "I love you too!"
Things are going smoothly. People are enjoying their starters and there's conversation in the air. Every so often you glance up at Stark's table. There is not a single smile there.
You nod at Sam and makes another round of drinks for the table.
Orders for the main courses come in. You take Stark's order yourself. You ignore the way he stares at you. You especially ignore the way Heike is staring at you. You note down their orders and put on a smile, leaving as quickly as you could.
Natasha leans in before you reach the kitchen.
"I could take her out, you know."
You laugh.
"Not tonight Nat."
You go into the kitchen and give Helmut the order. He takes it from you, fingers purposely brushing against yours and making you blush. He smirks when he sees your reaction and then shouts out the order.
He looks at you.
"All good?"
"Yeah, in here?"
"Yeah. Though I am missing you terribly tonight."
"Aw, you'll see me later. You should bring out the main course yourself for Stark."
"Right. I'll be out."
You nod and leave, another exchange of 'I love you' being exclaimed to each other with laughter.
You go around and make sure everyone is doing OK, but as you do, Heike gets up and approaches you.
"What can I do for you?" You say, remaining polite.
"I want you to get Helmut for me."
"No, he's busy I'm afraid. He's cooking your meal."
"Then I want to go see him."
"No customers in the kitchen. You'll be in the way, plus, he's busy. I just said as such myself."
You hated how polite your voice sounded and how much it hurt to smile at her. God, you wanted to rip her hair out and kick her to the street.
"It's important."
"I'm sorry, but you need to sit back down now. The main courses will be out shortly."
Heike throws a mini tantrum as she stomps her foot before returning to the table.
You resist running a hand down your face as you retreat to the bar. Natasha is topping up some drinks as you approach.
"My offer still stands."
"At this rate I may accept it. She's just trying to annoy me, and it's working."
"Deep breaths."
You roll your eyes and take the tray. Natasha gives you the table number and you go on your way.
When the main courses come out, Helmut exits the kitchen with Tony's meal, and only Tony's. Behind him are a couple of waiters with the rest. They put down their first, Heike looking unimpressed they someone sent served her, and then Helmut presented Tony with his meal.
Before he could get away, Tony grabbed Zemo's wrist.
"This won't change anything," he said.
Zemo smiled.
"It changes everything. Look around you. These people live here. They came because I invited them in honour of my father. They came because this place matters. You're running a business, I'm running a family legacy. You can't win."
Tony let's go of him.
"We'll see about that."
On the table sits the cheque. The same amount of zeros on it as the day he presented it.
Zemo picks it up.
Tony begins to smile.
You stand beside Helmut.
"Try it," you urge, nodding at the dish.
Tony inhales. He looks at the food. Glancing between you and the dish he slowly takes a bite.
Once again he left blown away by what his tastebuds are experiencing.
You hold the cheque in both hands, out in front of you. The whole table looks up at you. Swiftly, you tear in two and let both halves fall to the table.
"You can't cook like Helmut can. You can't run a restaurant like Helmut can. You can't respect people like Helmut can," you say slowly.
Heike stands quickly, not even trying her meal.
"He doesn't love you, you know."
You roll your eyes again.
"No, he adores me. I adore him. Let it go, Heike. You just can't accept that he moved and run you after what you did to him. You need to leave. You're not welcome at our restaurant again," you tell her.
"Your restaurant?"
"Yes, our restaurant," Helmut says, smiling. He puts an arm around you and pulls you into his side.
You nod behind Heike once. Wanda and Natasha grab an arm each and escort Heike off the premises. The restaurant is filled with cheering as she is kicked out.
Tony sits there and looks at the pair of you.
"You'll fail. Within the year you'll fail," he tells you.
"No, I don't think we will."
Veronica comes up behind Tony and grabs the back of his jacket. She tugs it, urging him to stand. He sighs and does as she wants. Veronica escort him to the door where she let's go and gives him a hard kick. Tony stumbles forward onto the hood of his car which remained parked right outside the doors. Pepper and Strange are quickly to follow on their own.
You stand there hand in hand with Helmut as you watch them scamper away.
Once they are gone, the whole restaurant stands up and cheers.
You laugh loudly.
Helmut laughs with you and kisses your temple.
Tony Stark couldn't have that it takes true talent to run a restaurant. His food would never compare to Helmut's. His service would move compare to yours.
You look around.
"Eat up, it will go cold!"
The customers all dig in. Helmut gestures for the table Tony had been at to be cleared. He guides you into the kitchen as they do that.
"You handled that very well," he tells you.
You smile.
"I think we both did."
He places his hands on either side of your face and looks at you.
If someone had told him a few years ago he would be standing here falling in love all over again, though this time with someone who actually did mean the world to him, he would call them a liar.
Yet, here you were.
"I love you."
"I love you too."
Helmut leans in and kisses you quite passionately in the middle of the kitchen. Neither one of you care for the staff that come and go as they prepares for deserts.
You pull apart and look at him, placing your hands on his.
"Let's finish up tonight."
"Yes, let's."
You kiss once more and he lets you go back out front.
It's late when you're looking the doors. The restaurant looks a bit askew from all the people moving about, but other than that there was nothing to worry about.
The waiters gathered the plates and glasses. Sam and Bucky tidied up the bar, putting everything back where it belonged. Natasha and Wanda worked together to while down tables and sweep the floors. Helmut was in the back helping the kitchen staff clean.
You were at the till counting up the profits for the evening. Deserts had been free simply because everyone had celebrated Tony Stark being kicked out of the restaurant.
You totalled it all up and bagged up the money, putting it away for safe keeping. When you came back, Helmut was waiting for you by the bar.
"Do you have a minute?" He asks, smiling softly at you.
"Of course," you say, going over to sit with him.
On the bar in front of him was a file. He opens it up for you and places a pen down on top of it.
"What's this?"
"My paperwork for the restaurant. I've had it reprinted."
"Why?"
"Because I want you to sign it."
You stare into those stunning brown eyes of his as he stares back. There's a soft smile on his face.
"What do you mean?"
He chuckles softly and his hand glides along the bottom of the page he had presented to you. You lean in a little to read it.
You gasp softly.
Owner & Manager - Helmut Zemo
Co-owener & Manager - ................
The space was blank. He wanted you to sign it. You look back up at him.
"Are you sure?"
"Yes."
"This is quite a commitment."
"I know."
"I'd have shares in your restaurant."
"Our restaurant."
He didn't stop smiling.
You turn back to the page and slowly find yourself lifting the pen. You click it and look down at the space where your name should be.
You smile.
You can feel tears threatening to fall.
Helmut puts an arm around you and pulls you into his side. He kissed your cheek, lips lingering there.
"I want this," he whispers.
"Me too."
Then suddenly your hand is scribbling. Your name sits on the line. You drop the pen and smile.
Helmut litters kisses all over your face.
You both laugh.
"This is actually happening."
"Yes, it is."
You look at him and smile. He smiles back at you. You kiss him. This kiss felt so different from all the ones before. This one was sealing a deal. Sealing a future together.
He is yours and you are his, and together you had this restaurant to run. A restaurant which had a bright future ahead of it all because you entered his life.
“Lets go home,” he whispers.
You chuckle softly.
“Yes, chef.”

After a couple of days, Rory kinda got used to her new "home." Since Tony didn't know how long it would be before they went back to California, and with Pepper gone, they decided it was best if Rory just took a break from school.
Rory did eventually grow to like her new room. She was not allowed to leave the current floor, so she basically just spent all of her time there. Tony was gone all day and didn't get home until very late at night, meaning Rory had to have food delivered. She didn't mind, though. She figured that if they end up staying, she'll be able to tell Tony what all the good restaurants are.
Tony never told her anything about why they were here with the exception of, "Daddy has business."
So in order to pass the time, Rory would read or watch movies. She even took up drawing which turned out to be something she isn't too bad at.
This morning, Tony was already gone by the time Rory got up, so she got dressed and migrated to the living area. She sat on one of the couches near the large window and began sketching the tall buildings surrounding her.
As she finished the shading on one of the skyscrapers, she peered back up to see a tall man with long, black hair dressed in what looked like a Halloween costume standing on the terrace. Rory put down her sketchbook and looked closer. He was very tall and had large, golden horns that decorated the top of his head. She had no clue as to why this man was standing outside of her window on her father's building.
Rory looked to her right and noticed her father, in the Iron Man suit, land on the landing pad. The man just stood there, watching as machines swiftly removed the armor from Tony's body.
The strange man made his way into the room from the balcony. The room she was in. Rory didn't know what to do. She was frozen, scared. Instead of running away as any sane person would, Rory remained in her chair.
The large man entered the room. He studied his surroundings, his eyes eventually landing on Rory. "Who might you be?" He asked with disdain.
Rory could do nothing but blink at him, too afraid to speak. He opened his mouth to say more, only to be interrupted by the presence of Tony. "Rory, come here," Tony said blankly.
Rory immediately dropped her things and ran to her father's side. Tony wrapped his arm around her protectively, hoping to shield her with his body.
The man watched this all happen before finally speaking, "Please tell me you're going to appeal to my humanity." He spoke as if she weren't there.
"Actually I'm planning to threaten you," Tony responded. Rory couldn't sense any different emotions other than his natural sarcastic tone.
"You should have left your armor on for that," the man bantered, walking closer to Tony and Rory.
"Yeah," Tony pushed Rory behind the bar. "It's seen a bit of mileage, and you've got the glow stick of destiny." Rory crouched down below the bar and pulled her knees into her chest. She couldn't help but let tears stain her cheeks, afraid of what was happening. "Would you like a drink?" Tony asked the man as he walked behind the bar, actively trying to ignore you in hopes you wouldn't become a target.
Rory heard the other man laugh. "Stalling me won't change anything," he said. If Rory knew what it meant, she would describe their conversation as passive-aggressive.
"No, no. threatening." Tony began making himself a drink. "No drink? You sure? I'm having one.
"The Chitauri are coming. Nothing will change that." His words sounded like gibberish to Rory. "What have I to fear?"
Rory watched her father casually make a drink as if nothing was wrong. "The Avengers. That's what we call ourselves. We're sort of like a team." Rory had no idea what he was going on about. ""Earth's mightiest heroes"-type thing."
"Yes, I've met them."
"Yea," Tony's smile helped calm Rory down. He had to have the situation under control, right? "It takes us a while to get any traction, I'll give you that one. But let's do a headcount, here. Your brother, the demi-god," demi-god? "A super-soldier, a living legend who kind of lives up to the legend." He secretly slipped a metal-looking band on each wrist.
"A man with breathtaking anger-management issues, a couple of master assassins, and you, big fella," none of his words were making any sense. "You've managed to piss off every single one of them."
"That was the plan."
"Not a great plan," Tony walked past you and out from the bar. "When they come, and they will, they'll come for you."
"I have an army."
"We have a hulk."
Rory finally gathered enough courage and stood up carefully. She peeked her head over the bar to watch the men while also trying to stay out of the way. Tony was approaching the man as they spoke; the man keeping his ground.
"I thought the beast had wandered off," the man said.
"You're missing the point. There's no throne," Tony's voice rose slightly. "There is no version of this where you come out on top. Maybe your army comes and maybe it's too much for us, but it's all on you. Because if we can't protect the Earth, you can be damn well sure we'll avenge it."
Tony took a sip of his drink while the man took a few steps closer, a scowl spreading across his features. "How will your friends have time for me when they're so busy fighting you?"
For the first time since this scene began, Tony looked scared. The man brought his scepter-looking thing up and tapped it against Tony's chest with a clang noise. The man's face dropped for a second before he tried a second time, and then a third. "This usually works."
Tony didn't look scared anymore. "Well, performance issues, it's not uncommon. One out of five--" his sentence was cut short when the man forcefully grabbed Tony's throat and threw him onto the floor. Rory squealed and then immediately covered her mouth.
The man turned his head in Rory's direction with a puzzled look. He turned away from her as soon as Tony stood up and went for his neck again. "You will all fall before me," he said.
"Deploy!" Tony called before the man threw him out the window, shattering the glass. Rory screamed with all her might. Did she just watch her Dad be murdered? What was he going to do to her?
Rory hid behind the bar once more, watching and listening closely to her surroundings. A loud sound rippled through the room causing Rory to throw her hands over her ears to block out the noise. She peeked over the bar and saw nothing but more shards of glass and broken furniture.
The man stared Rory down. "Who are you?"
Rory gulped, "who are you?"
He chuckled. "I am Loki, of Asgard. I'm surprised you have not yet heard of me." His tone was a lot softer with her than it was with her father. "What is your name, little one?"
"Rory," she nervously answered his question. "My name is Rory."
"Let me guess; Stark's child?" She didn't say anything. Rory simply nodded. "Ah I see," he gave you an almost heartwarming smile. "Come here, Rory."
Fearing she had no other choice, Rory walked over to Loki and he crouched down to meet her gaze. He smiled at her. Rory watched her father fly up behind him. She was more than thrilled to see her father alive and more tears fell from her eyes.
"And one more thing," Loki's face dropped and he spun around to face Tony. "Get away from my daughter!" Tony shot at Loki, sending him flying backward. Rory jumped out of the way, too stunned to do anything else. With Loki knocked out, Tony looked towards his daughter, "Rory go hide, now!" He flew away into the sky, and Rory wasted no time in running to her bedroom.
She slammed the door shut and locked it. She looked around her room for anything that she could put in front of the door to make it harder to reach her. Rory tried to move the couch, but it was no use. It was too heavy for a ten-year-old to manage. She tugged on her roots as she spotted her desk chair. Once it was securely tucked under the knob, Rory ran over to her window to watch what was unfolding.
Rory couldn't help herself as she began to sob. She was afraid and she was alone. There was nothing she could do to help. Tons of thousands of aliens flooded the skies and streets of New York as Rory sat up in her bedroom, watching. She was sobbing uncontrollably as she pressed her face and hands into the large window.
More loud noises were flowing from the living area into Rory's bedroom and Rory could do nothing to stop them. She hoped that the man who called himself Loki was gone and that her Dad was alright.
At this moment, Rory really felt like a child. She felt small and helpless. Lonely and afraid. There was nothing else she could do except watch. She had no clue as to what she was watching either, which was not making her feel any better.
At long last, the aliens seemed to dissipate and things seemed to calm down. It looked to Rory like the fight was over. But who won?
Rory was drawn away from her thoughts by the sound of her father's voice calling her name. She nearly sprinted out. She ran up to Tony and engulfed him in the tightest bear hug she could manage. He was still in his suit and covered in dirt, but neither seemed to mind.
"I was afraid," Rory murmured into his neck.
"I know, bubs." They pulled away from the hug and Rory got the chance to really see the other people in the room.
There was a giant-sized man with green skin, a man with a shield, a man with a bow and arrow, a man with a red cape and long hair, and what looked like Natalie, only with shorter hair. They looked odd. As if they were straight out of a movie. She noticed Loki in handcuffs. He looked angry and sad at the same time. Rory didn't really know what he did, but she knew he lost and her dad won.

Tony held a silver case in one hand and Rory's in the other as he walked alongside the other Avengers waiting to send Loki away. Tony had made it very clear that from now on, Rory would not be leaving his side.
Rory let go of her Dad's hand to let him deal with the case. Thor, as he had told Rory to call him, led Loki a few feet away from everyone else. He waited for Loki to grab hold of the glass container for the Tesseract. Before she knew it, the pair had disappeared in a storm of blue.
Once everything else was settled, Tony reached for Rory's hand again and walked her over to the rest of the Avengers. "Rory there's some people I'd like you to meet," he motioned to the team. "That's Capsicle, Legolas, Jolly Green, and the Triple Imposter. This is Rory." The others shook their heads at Tony's nicknames.
"Steve," the tall, blonde man smiled and Rory shook his hand.
"Bruce," the shorter man with grey hair politely smiled and waved.
"Yea," Nat showed you a friendly smile to which you returned. "Nice to finally meet you, officially."
"And I'm Clint," the last man with spiky hair and sunglasses introduced himself.
"Hi," you said, shyly and waved at them all.
"Bubs, you go wait in the car I'll be there in a sec," said Tony.
"Okay. It was nice meeting you all!" You said as you walked to the car.
"You ready to go, kiddo?" Tony asked as he got in the car and fastened his seatbelt.
"Are we going home? Like, back to Malibu?" you asked as he started the car and pulled out.
"Yea," he smiled. "I think we deserve a break."
"What about the tower?"
"We're working on it. It'll be fixed in no time."
"Good," you sighed
"Good?"
"I don't mind it anymore. I don't think it would be so bad if we moved here."
"Really?" He raised his eyebrows.
"Really."

I Wish I Cared Less
Chapter 2: Here We Go Again
Attempt # 2- Take Care Of Her
Love is killing me
Trying to figure it out
Nothing better to do
When I'm stuck on you
I'm still in here trying to figure it out
I let it go, 'cause I won't see you later
And we're not allowed to talk it out
-Figure It Out (Royal Blood)
It’s easy to get lost into his eyes, his ever sweet demeanor bringing her comfort. He still knows her so well, taking her to their old favorite restaurant in the corner booth away from prying eyes. It’s familiar, falling back into the routine of when they were together. It’s all so predictable, and that’s the problem isn’t it?
“Congratulations on winning your game, I see you haven’t lost your touch.”
“And you’re still trying to evade my questions. Shiho, what are we doing here? You know why I wanted to see you.”
“Ryusuke…”
“Is it because of him? I know you said there’s nothing going on but the way he looks at you… is he my competition?”
“Hardly.”
“But you still don’t want to give us another chance.”
“I… I’m sorry.”
“I’ll wait for you.”
“I don’t want you to. You should move on, it’s not fair to ask you to wait.”
“I love you Shiho, I just want you to be happy.”
“You deserve so much more.”
“So do you.”
———
Higo Ryusuke, the more he learns about the guy, the worse he feels. He keeps hoping he has a dirty secret or maybe even a dark side hidden within, but no, the guy is pretty much perfect. This wouldn’t bother him so much if he wasn’t Shiho’s ex. How can he compete with someone like this? There’s literally nothing wrong with him! So then why did they break up? Shinichi’s driving himself crazy mulling over this. It’s been over a month since he last saw her, during which he’s started the divorce process. The deterioration of his marriage is the least of his worries, he was in the wrong here so he has no problem giving Ran whatever she wants. It’s just not in her nature to take advantage, they’re actually quite civil about the whole situation. Though definitely not at the point where they can just pretend everything’s fine, it’s not by a long shot. Still it’s going as smooth as it could be, he’s more concerned with how to make things right with Shiho. Sure he knows where she lives, but it’s not like he can just waltz right in and demand she give him a chance to form an actual relationship. Unfortunately he has no other ways of reaching her, he still never got her number and stalking her at work is also out of the question. So, what is he going to do?
———
She tells herself this is the last time she’s ever going to walk away from him. The next time he tries to reconcile their relationship, she’s going to give in. She has no reason to deny him, anyone would kill to be in her position. High school sweethearts even though he’s one year her senior. They caught each other’s eye and struck up a friendship, from there love began to blossom. He was there for her when she lost her family, became a rock for her to cling to when she could barely cope with everyday life. She cheered him on when he was branded a traitor for switching teams, giving him the motivation to continue on with his passion. Their entire relationship has been about comfort, they just understand each other and are willing to take a step back if needed. Which is why he never once got angry at her when she finally asked for a break. Of course it shattered his world, though no one in the public knew given how private they were in their personal lives. He put on a brave face and tried his best to carry on as if nothing was wrong, it was the only year he didn’t make the playoffs, recording a career low for the season. She wasn’t doing so great either, she was young and made a bad decision letting in the wrong man into her life. One that almost succeeded in killing her, their love affair was pure madness but at least it made her feel something. Not without permanent damage of course, luckily that chapter of her life is closed and he’s locked behind bars for a series of other crimes she refused to be involved with after learning the truth of his occupation. She was the one to turn him in, which almost ended her life but hey she survived.
She sits at home now with nothing to distract her. She’s been clocking up too much overtime and sent home for a much needed staycation. It’s the last thing she wants, it just leaves her alone with her thoughts. Ryusuke was too safe, there was no passion. Gin on the other hand was too much passion, enough to drive a person mad, there was nothing comforting about the way they clashed. Maybe she should swear off dating, it’s impossible to meet someone who’s a perfect combination of the burning love she desires with a haven she can call home. Her treacherous heart calls out his name, once again proving she’s in too deep for someone who was meant to be a one night stand. It’s not fair how this man manages to break through all her barriers and make her see that it is possible to find someone who ticks all her boxes. What’s worse is they were never official, their arrangement meant nothing or so she keeps trying to tell herself. She needs to get over him, it’s been a month already. She shouldn’t need to mourn the loss of something that wasn’t even a relationship, it’s time to stop wallowing and move on. She knows exactly what she needs to do, it took her a good year before she got over the trauma of her toxic love affair but if she can do it once she can do it again. All she needs to do is hook up with another person, it worked last time, a little too well but that’s besides the point. It’s settled, she’s going to get drunk at a different bar and bring someone home. What could go wrong?
———
He can’t quite believe his eyes, is she really here or just another figment of his imagination? Only one way to find out, much like their first meeting, he finds her alone at the bar. This time however, she’s the one that’s shitfaced, it does nothing to keep away the swarm of people vying for her attention. If anything it draws them in more, because let’s be real hookup culture is the worst. No one cares if they’re taking advantage of someone who has too much to drink, naturally it means he has to step in and take care of her.
“Shiho.”
She doesn’t immediately turn at the sound of her name, her motor skills taking time to get going, when she finally looks up at him a mixture of emotions flash upon her face. She settles on happiness.
“… you look just like him… no… he doesn’t know I’m… you’re here.”
“I am, let’s get you home.”
“Carry me… can’t stand…”
True to her words, she falls towards him and he catches her before she gets hurt. He holds her tight, hearing her sigh in content inhaling his familiar scent. She’s never been this needy around him, always keeping her guard up, he wishes he could see this side of her more. Feeling the envious stares of the patrons in this establishment, he does the one thing they’ve all failed to do: leave with the untouchable hot mess sitting by herself at the bar.
“Take me home, Shinichi.”
It’s the only coherent sentence she’s spoken since he found her. Even when she’s drunk off her ass, she still knows it’s him and chooses to go with him instead of some random stranger. That has to mean something, right?
Her eyes are closed the whole ride home, the nausea coming in waves, she’s due to throw up at any minute now if the taxi cab keeps running over potholes on the ground. If he thought the bar they first met at was shady, this one is even worse, how did she end up here? If he didn’t happen to wrap up a case and took a detour nearby, she might have been in actual trouble. The thought sends him into a panic, he knows the real reason she decided to go out. She was trying to forget him, his anxiety fades when he looks over at her curled at his side. Leaning her head on shoulder, the furrow in her eyebrows as she tries her best to get some shut eye. She would be mortified if she puked her guts out before making it home, her tolerance is unusually high for someone of her stature, she definitely had way too many to end up like this. She’s going to have a killer hangover when she wakes up tomorrow.
A problem arises when he gets her to bed, normally it wouldn’t be a problem but the fact that she’s too far gone to give consent is driving him crazy. Muscle memory kicks in the moment he lies her down flat on her back, her eyes shoot open and she pulls him down with her. He tries to gently push her away, but her next words crush his resolve.
“I missed you.” She kisses him. “I hate you so much, but I still want you.” Another kiss as her hands struggle with the buttons on his shirt. “I lied, I don’t hate you… I might even…” Giving up on the buttondown, she goes for his belt instead distracting him with another kiss. “Do you even still want me…” This time he’s the one to initiate, washing all her doubts away. Of course he still wants her, there’s no one else for him, he needs to remind her again how much he wants her.
This is how he finds himself buried inside her, hearing her moan his name as his hands find purchase on her hips. She leaves her mark on him, a trail of hickeys along his neck with a few above his collar bone. He might have been a little too rough, her grip on his shoulder tightens, sliding her hands down to meet his she squeezes hard. He stops his movements, pulling out of her when he sees her eyes are closed.
“I think… feeling sick…”
She’s out of bed and stumbling towards her bathroom, he helps steady her thankfully making it in time for her to throw up in the toilet. Effectively killing the mood, but it does nothing to keep him away from her. He takes care of her, cleaning her up and getting her dressed. Holding her hair out of her face when she inevitably needs to get up to puke again. Watching as she claims she’s fine when she insists she can brush her teeth by herself, but allowing him to carry her back to bed. She gets up four more times before noon and he’s there by her side every single time.
———
She feels like absolute shit, barely remembering how she got home. A part of her still wonders if he was actually there or just a fever dream she wishes was real. She still feels a bit nauseous, but she doesn’t think she has the energy to get up, by now there’s nothing to get out of her system. She’ll just be dry heaving as she vows never to drink again, so instead she stays in bed silently complaining about how much this sucks. Her arm remains over her closed eyes even when she hears her door open. His voice forces her to acknowledge the existence of another human being at her home. So it wasn’t a dream, he’s really here.
“You should try and eat something. Drink some water too, you’re dehydrated.”
“No…”
Logically she knows he’s right, but she really doesn’t want to move right now. She also knows she should tell him to leave, but she’s too worn out to push him away. His hands wind up around her as he helps her sit up, she immediately leans her head against him. Neither of them say a word when he takes her into the bathroom to freshen up. She grimaces at her appearance in the mirror, meanwhile he looks perfectly fine standing behind her. She would be more annoyed but she can’t bring herself to care right now.
Next he gets her settled in the dining room before bringing out some noodle soup that he apparently made while she was still sleeping. She can’t quite stomach the noodles, but she does enjoy the broth and the veggies inside. She manages to keep it down and even drinks some of the hot tea he places in front of her. She still feels awful, but not as terrible as she did before.
They’re on the couch together with some random movie playing in the background. Neither of them are really paying attention to it, her eyes are closed again stretched out with her head in his lap. This is probably one of the worst hangovers she’s suffering from, but it’s more bearable when there’s someone who’s willing to take care of her without any complaints. He runs his fingers through her hair, she opens her eyes to take a good look at him. Bad idea, before she knows it she’s drowning in his ocean blue eyes. The way he’s looking at her is enough to make her heart melt, even when she knows she’s definitely not at her best he still treats her like a treasure he needs to cherish. She really doesn’t deserve this.
“Feeling better?”
“A little.”
“Next time you should just call me.”
“There’s a reason I don’t have your number, Shinichi.”
“The papers are being filed, it’ll probably take a few more months before it’s finalized but I’m officially single.”
“Why?”
“To begin a new relationship, you should end the old one. I did things out of order before, but I’m trying to fix it.”
“I played a part in that too. It’s not just on you.”
“Then will you keep playing the part, but as my girlfriend this time?”
“It’s not going to work out. Let’s not put labels on it.”
“Why not?”
“Think about it, how many people actually stay with the person they had an affair with. I don’t want you to promise me anything.”
“But it’s not unheard of.”
“It still doesn’t change my mind.”
———
After spending the whole day nursing her hangover, she finally starts to feel more normal around dinner time. They order takeout, everything is the way it should be. She questions why he’s still here, shouldn’t he be at work? Since he just finished up with a major case, he was given the next few days off. She lets out a soft hum, he’s not sure what she’s thinking, he’s never been able to read her. It isn’t until they’re sitting together on the couch with the cheesiest movie he’s ever seen that he realizes he’s missing something. She’s testing him, he passes with flying colors though he has no idea he was even being tested in the first place.
“You’re not even watching this movie, are you?”
“Nope.”
“Then why did you choose it?”
“To see what you would do. I didn’t think you would actually try to watch this crap.”
“… well, you’re finally feeling better… So if you wanted to watch some over the top romance movie, the least I could do is watch it with you.”
“Shinichi. I’d rather finish what we started.”
“What else did we…”
She kisses him effectively shutting him up, this, this he can work with. She’s already straddling him, hands moving to unbutton his shirt, without any problems this time around. A clear sign she’s recovered from her night of drinking.
“Shiho, wait. Shouldn’t we figure out what we’re doing first?”
“Are we role playing now? I’ve been told I'm a great teacher.”
“I’m being serious here.”
“So you don’t want to have sex with me?”
“I do but…”
“Look, I went out last night to find someone to sleep with. I haven’t had sex in over a month so if you…”
He flips them over so that she’s the one pinned underneath him now. Being the aggressor as he pulls her pajamas off, she responds immediately to his touch. He knows she was trying to get over him, it’s only logical to expect she would’ve fucked someone else by now. The fact that she hasn’t gives him hope, he’s still the last person to have her this way. He’s going to make sure he’s the only person who gets to see her like this.
They pick off almost exactly where they left off last night, his hands on her hips as he presses into her over and over. She bites down on his shoulder, pleasure filling her senses from how deep he’s going. Telling her how good she feels around him. He should be happy with this, right? She didn’t exactly turn him down, she’s actually quite responsive right now. Initiating kisses, hands roaming leaving light scratches, not even bothering to keep quiet as she moans his name out loud. It’s more than he can take, reaching his high before she does. He never does disappoint, eager to please her, making sure she’s satisfied until they’re crashing on the couch too exhausted to move.

twelve. “the moon looks beautiful tonight, doesn’t it?”
kozume kenma x fem dazai!reader
(bsd x hq)
tw: mentions of suicide
masterlist.         suicide freak!
Tumblr media
"kenma just this once please!!" y/n pleaded with a frown
"literally why?" kenma grumbled back.
they were currently seated by the stairway of the second-year building, five minutes away from being late to their next class, which was history. "because it's fun!" she reasoned "besides, you don't even listen to the lesson, you just play games under your desk"
"yeah, but it's not considered skipping classes" kenma sighed
"c'mon kenma, live a little!" she chuckled "then you can die with me afterwards."
kenma sighed but nodded in reluctance "fine, but please don't kill me" he said with a sigh
"huh? then how are we supposed to die?"
"the point is we're not going to."
after a little bit more convincing, and a very troublesome escape from the school grounds, they were finally on their way off. the pair was walking towards the same riverbank kenma found her on after disappearing
"ah, isn't this nice, kenma-kun?" she said with a content sigh. she was holding a box of apple pie, while kenma chomps on a slice. "the air is nice, the apple pie is nice, the bridge is kinda nice" she hummed
"did you know, this is where i found atsushi-kun on the brink of death from starvation!" she exclaimed with a bright smile
"i- what?"
"yes, that's right" she said "ah, good times~"
"i don't think you should consider that a good time" kenma sweat dropped "also, what's with you lately?" kenma asks her
"hm? what do you mean?" she responded with a raised brow "you've been kinda.. tamed?" he muttered as more of a question than a statement "like, usually your attempts would be more bizarre." he said with a shrug
kenma then reached out to grab another slice of the apple pie. that is, until his whole body shuddered. he looked up at her, looking like a shaken up kitten as he immediately shook his head.
"i don't mean that i want you to start going all crazy again!" he shrieked
she simply laughed, shaking her head as she sat down on the ground "well then i guess you're fulfilling your promise of keeping me alive, huh?" she mused
kenma blinked at her words and meekly nodded, a faint smile ghosting his lips "i guess.." he replied "anyways, what are we doing here?" he asks as he takes a seat next to her
"were here to slack off" she responded with a nonchalant grin "work is like, really stressful" she said with an exaggerated sigh
kenma simply furrowed his brows as he sent her a questioning look "but atsushi said you haven't done anything in like a week-"
"anyways, kenma." she cut him off "in return of making you skip class, i'll share some of my incredibly utile knowledge to you!" she announced cockily
"i don't think i need it.. nor do i want it" kenma deadpanned
"well, i'm gonna tell you anyways"
"but first, let me beat this level" she said with a cheeky grin as she snatches his PSP from his pocket. as she began to play, kenma simply watched her fingers click the buttons, silently watching as he nibbled on the apple pie
"now, as i was saying.." she muttered "my knowledge consists of the mafia and their history.."
"that's kind of relevant right?" she beamed with a small smile
"no, not really."
"alright! well, the mafia is kind of fun" she started out
"im gonna have to disagree." kenma sighed "it's the mafia, why would it be fun?"
"also, why are we talking about this anyway?" he rolled his eyes playfully at her
"because its literally all i know about" she chuckled "unless you wanna hear about how to dispose of dead bodies."
"no."
"okay. well, in this same spot we're sitting on, there have been at least.. like, maybe one or ten murders?" she cooed out with a small smile. kenma looked at her, face scrunching up as he picked himself up from the ground, holding his apple pie tightly as he walked away
"goodbye."
she laughed loudly as she watched him walk away, eyes darting from between the boy and the PSP in her hands "wait! kenma, im kidding!" she yelled out
"well, im actually not, but.. COME BACK!"
kenma sighed, looking back only to find her shuffling around with the device in her hands as she screams about losing.
"kenma you made me lose!" she groaned out. the pudding head simply sighed as he trudged back to her with an unamused look on his face
"well, whatever" she shrugged it off. she placed the PSP back in his pocket as she jumped up from the ground "you know what we should do?" she mused "we should steal a car and have a road trip!"
"no! are you crazy?" kenma let out an exasperated sigh
"i dunno about crazy, but i do know that kunikida-kun has a car and.." she trailed of with a suggesting smirk
(he prolly doesn't have a car i think, but go along w it 😋)
"were not gonna steal a car just to go on a road trip." kenma said to her
"really? i don't think that's the right response, kenma" she slumped out defeatedly
"we are NOT gonna steal a fucking car-"
Tumblr media
"YOU STOLE THE FUCKING CAR?!" kenma rubbed his temples in distress as she stood proudly before him, holding the car keys with a grin
"yep!"
it has been fifteen minutes since she's disappeared, only to come back to announce that she had carnapped kunikida
"y/n, im pretty sure this is illegal." kenma sighed tiredly "do you even know how to drive?" he asked
"of course!" she said with an offended scoff "well..last time i drived, it ended in a crash" she mumbled sheepishly "but that's not gonna happen, i promise!"
kenma looked at her up and down, before shaking his head. "that doesn't sound very promising.."
"cmon, live a little!" she exclaimed as she unlocked the car doors
"i won't be able to if i die in a car crash, you understand that right?"
"that's even better!"
although despite his disputes, kenma ended up joining her anyways. now, he's seated in the passenger seat while y/n drives the car. music was softly playing through the speakers, though it was getting drowned out by kunikida's yelling, which was emitting through her phone
"oi! you bandage-covered brat, where the hell is my car?!" kunikida exclaimed
"stop with the names, kunikida-kun!" she whined out "and how dare you accuse me of such!" she exclaimed with a dramatic cry
kenma simply deadpanned at her as kunikida let out a deep breath from the other line
"i have very right to accuse you becauSE RANPO TOLD ME IN EXCHANGE OF A CHOCOLATE BAR!"
"AGH! BUT I MADE HIM PINKY PROMISE NOT TO SAY IN EXCHANGE OF A CHOCOLATE BAR TOO!"
she fake cried as kunikida continued on scolding her through the phone "now, now, kunikida-kun~" she cooed out "dont go screaming a lot, or else your vocal system gets messed up" she warned "they say you can cough your throat out."
"you- wait really?" kunikida asked in wonder
"i dunno" she responded nonchalantly
"STOP RIDICULING ME, BASTARD!" he exclaimed
"whatever.. there better not be any scratches or dents or i'll kill you myself" it was all he said before hanging up
she pocketed her phone and looked over at kenma, sending him a smile "that went well, won't you say so?"
"50/50" kenma responded "anyways, where are we going?" he asked her
"i don't know kenma, i've never done this before" she laughed softly "let's just drive around and stop for food once in a while" she said "let's just talk! preferably about our double suicide"
kenma laughed at her antics and nodded "okay, i'd like that."
in the end, they ended up roaming around the city. at some point they stopped by a wine shop to buy all of chuuya's favourite wine just to mess with him
chuuya did in fact come into the shop minutes later and had a fit.
by the time the sky got darker, kenma suggested going to a mcdonald's for some fries. but sadly, it ended with y/n flirting with the female cashiers, so he had to drag her away. they even stopped by a cliff to 'stargaze' but it ended with y/n trying to make them fall to their deaths, so that ended quite quickly.
now, they were back in the usual restaurant the agency goes to, having a light dinner.
"so, kenma-kun, how was our road trip?" she cooed out
"it was chaotic." he responded "but it was very fun, thanks for that y/n" he said with a smile
she smiled cockily as she sipped on her coffee, letting out a small chuckle as she does so. "heh, let's just hope kunikida-kun won't notice the scratches on his car"
kenma shifted nervously in his seat as he noticed kunikida leaning on the back of her seat, as well as atsushi listening in on their conversation.
"um y/n.." he said nervously, slyly pointing behind her, though she seemed to ignore him anyways
she snickered under her breath as she continued to talk. "there's so many scratches on the side! and-" she was cut off by kunikida's fist making contact with the side of her head, resulting in her falling off the seat
"y/n-san?!" atsushi called out with widened eyes
"what did you say, brat?" kunikida asked in a low tone as his tall figure loomed over her
"a-ah! what did i say?" she mused "i don't think i said anything, kunikida-kun! you must be hearing things!" she laughed sheepishly as she stood up straight once again "and why are you interrupting our dinner, hm?" she asked him
"shouldn't you be at work? tsk tsk tsk" she clisked her tounge as she shook her head disappointedly
kenma and atsushi froze in fear as kunikida seemed to have grew angrier by the second. veins popped out of his temple from agitation as he started strangling her, all while she still had that dumb and taunting smile on her face
"and who gave you, the poster child for sloth and irresponsibility, the right to say that to me?!" he yelled
"kunikida-san! don't kill her!" atsushi yelled out in panic "why not?! that's exactly what she wants!" kunikida exclaimed
"ehehehe- AGH!" she coughed out, wheezing slightly as he shook her around
after a quick minute of calming down, y/n was now back in her seat, facing kenma who was talking about a game he was currently playing "and this one is um- um.." kenma cut himself off, feeling himself grow anxious
his cat-like eyes look up to meet kunikida looking at him like a disappointed father "is something wrong?" he asked quietly
"i had trust in you, brat." kunikida said "i thought you were sensible enough to keep the maniac grounded."
"buT INSTEAD YOU BOTH HAD YOUR FUN CRASHING MY CAR AROUND-"
kunikida was cut short as y/n slammed her hand on his face and pushed him away with an innocent smile "now, now, kunikida-kun~" she cooed "kenma was talking about his new game, don't interrupt him!" she scolded him
"i don't care, you're paying me back" he said as he sent her a pointed glare. she simply laughed carelessly at that statement. though her laughter abruptly died down as she spun around to face atsushi.
"atsushi." she called out
"y-yeah?" atsushi replied hesitantly
"as your senior, i command you to pay the cost!" she exclaimed
"no! also, im older than you!" atsushi yelled at her
"oya~" she cooed tauntingly at him "but aren't i the one that saved your dying self months ago?!"
"and to think i believed we had a special bond" she sulked
"but y/n-san!!" atsushi panicked "I DON'T HAVE ANY MONEY!!"
"work it out~" she cooed as she ushered kenma out of the restaurant "we'll be going now~"
"are you really making me pay?!" atsushi shrieked
"bye-bye~"
Tumblr media
"so what do you wanna do to end the night?" she asked him
they were currently walking around, basking in the moonlight while kenma talks himself up in his mind  "um.. can we go back to the riverbank? like, by the bridge..?" he muttered quietly
"why? its already so late" she said
"just- can we just go?" he pleaded "... please?"
she looked at him and smiled, nodding along silently to his request. the walk to the bridge was quick and quiet. no one was speaking a word, only y/n humming under her breath and the sounds of cars passing by
the whole time, kenma was just screaming in his mind.
he was pondering over kuroo's oh-so-wise words. the suggestion to confess to her sounded more simpler at the moment. he's been preparing for it the whole day. but now that it was actually happening, he was honestly just considering jumping into oncoming traffic
"were here." she announced
kenma jolted, sporting a confused expression as he looked around their surroundings
"it seems you've been so lost in thought that you couldn't even tell we've arrived" she chuckled "so, what's on your mind, kenma?"
he didn't answer but simply watched her from his peripheral vision. she leaned on the metal railings, resting her hands on the bars as she looked down at the flowing water
the only light source they had was the moon, and the street lights littered around the bridge
"um.. it's just that-" he cut himself off with a deep breath
"that..?" she urged him further
"i- um-" he stammered nervously
kenma inhaled deeply through his nose before sighing. "i can't do this." he muttered
"what is it?" she asked worriedly "are you okay??"
"is it cause you wanna die with me? are you agreeing to the double-"
"t-thE MOON LOOKS BEAUTIFUL TONIGHT DOESN'T IT?!"
"i- why are you screaming?"
"fuck it. i like you, okay?"

"Tom, what did you mean you had something to tell me?"
"El's, I'll tell you later this is your party! I don't want to steal your limelight!" he gives me a smug look and taps his nose.
"Tell me!" I protest.
"Fine, but keep it to yourself. Like I said, this is your day"
He holds out his left hand I look down and scream "OH MY GOD!!!!!!!!!!" the whole room turns to look at me.
"El's!!"
I pull him on for a hug "I'm so happy for you guys! I need details!"
He laughs, "Why don't you and Adam come back to the flat after this and I'll fill you in!"
"OK, also congratulations!" I'm beaming for him.
~*~*~*~
Later, at the flat "Congratulations to the both!" Adam reaches his glass.
"So, who purposed to whom? Justin, please tell me it was Tom!" I laugh.
"No, actually it was me. You know what he's like with all that gushy stuff Ellie"
"Oi! I can be romantic when I want to be!" Me and Justin laugh.
"So, how did you ask him?"
"Well, It was nowhere near like what you did for Ellie, but I took him to the restaurant where we had our first date, then got down on one knee" I start to get a bit emotional Adams arms come around me.
"Stupid hormones!" I brush away my tears.
Adam and Justin are talking about football, I leave them to it and grab a glass of water. "So, do you think you'd want to be my best woman?" Tom ask.
The biggest smile appears on my face "I'd be offended if you asked anyone else!"
He laughs, "El's there's something else I need to tell you," He looks worried.
"What's wrong?"
"That spat me and Justin had, it was...it was over something I done, something that happened 2 years ago now"
"What is it?"
"Justin thinks you have a right to know, to be honest with you and I think he's right. Jake, I...."
I cut him off, "Tom..."
"Just let me finish! After your Mum and I found out about your drinking I did something stupid in fact, more than stupid I..."
"Tom, I know exactly what you did"
He looks confused "El's?"
"Can we go for a walk?" I ask not wanting Justin to hear.
"Yeah," he takes the last of the milk out the fridge and pours it down the drain.
"Justin, El's wants a tea, but we are out of milk we're just going to pop to the shop"
"Oh, OK" he calls over his shoulder.
We make our way out the flat, it's dark now the street is quiet "El's, how did you know?"
I take a deep breath as we are walking "I got a call from the hospital saying Jake had been attacked, and he was in a bad way. The idiot still had me under his emergency contact but even after everything that happened, a part of me needed to know he was OK, so I went to see him. When I got there he had just come round, so they let me in, he told me what happened and how it was you that put him there. He was gloating telling me how he was going to tell the police you attacked him and how you would go to prison..."
"But he didn't?" he looks even more confused now.
"No, he didn't...."
"But why?!" his tone is demanding.
"Me and you have this sibling kinda bond right. If one of us gets knocked down the other starts throwing punches..."
"El's, what did you do?"
"So, do you remember that armed robber at that jewelers in the city centre nearly 3 years ago?"
"Yeah, of course it was all over the news. They still haven't caught the guys that done it"
"For my birthday that year Jake had got me this bracelet. A couple of months later I was at the hospital with Dad just reading the paper to him. They had printed pictures of everything that was stolen. As soon as I saw it, I felt sick there in this newspaper was a picture of this bracelet he had got me for my birthday. I never confronted him about it because of Dad, I need to focus all my energy on him. So, at the hospital that day when he told me he was going to tell the police who attacked him, I told him if you were to go down for this, I would make sure he went down for a lot longer for armed robbery as I knew exactly where the bracelet had come from and I still had it"
"El's, Fuck! You know if you are ever caught with it you would go down to right"
"That's the thing I don't have it, not anymore. I told Mum everything she got rid of it!"
"How?!"
"You know those new luxury apartments in the city centre 2 streets away from Mums club?"
"Yeah?"
"Let's just say the foundations of that building are worth a lot of money"
"Does Adam know?"
"He does. I told him last year when he asks for us to move in together"
"El's, he could lose everything if it ever gets out!"
"I said that to him that before I told him about it. He didn't care he just didn't want secrets between us but he's convinced it won't come out. Well, at least not in our lifetime"
"El's why didn't you tell me?"
I laugh, "The same reason you didn't tell me. I was protecting you, the less people that knew the better”
"I guess we're both as bad as each other"
"I guess! Come on we better get this milk! Are you going to tell Justin?"
"To be honest with you I don't know, El's"
~*~*~*~
2 Weeks later, Adam and I are driving up to Edinburgh to stay with them for a few days. Natalia Kills - Problem is playing on the radio "What do think of the new car?"
I huff and roll my eyes, "It's nice I suppose, but it's not Bella!"
He takes my hand in his, "It's red like Bella, but more child friendly"
"I guess!" I say with a huff.
"Why don't we name it?"
I laugh, "What?"
"Why don't we give her a name? Maybe your fall in love with her if we name her!" he kisses my hand.
"I'm trying to keep to my eyes on the road"
"I'm sure your Mum will look after Bella. Plus, don't you like being up high?"
"OK, I like it! The gadgets make it worth giving up Bella"
I can see him smirking at the corner of my eye, "So, what are we calling her?"
"Rose?...God, Adam, I need a wee!"
"Let me have a look on the sat nav for the next service station" he fiddles with the car sat nav "There isn't one for 7 miles"
"Oh, I don't think I can wait that long" Charlie is using my bladder as a football.
"Pull over on the hard shoulder," I look at him to see if he's joking.
"You want me to wee on the side of the motorway?"
"Ellie, it will be fine. I'll open the back door and the passengers door and you can wee between them" I pull over on the hard shoulder "I'll get out, open the back door and you jump over to the passengers side"
I crawl over "I just realize we have nothing to wipe with"
Adam thinks for a second "You do what you need to and I'm going to look in the boot for something" he heads to the back of the car.
I squat down a little and pull down my jeans and underwear "Have you gone yet?"
"Nope! What if a lorry drives pass and sees me?!"
I hear him chuckle "I'm sure they're aren't looking. Ellie, I got a couple of pairs of new socks here. You can use a pair then I'll chuck them"
"You want me to used socks to wipe? Good job I don't need a poo! You might lose a t-shirt!" I laugh.
I hear him howl with laughter "They're new ones"
"OK pass me them" He wanders over and hands me the socks.
He takes over from driving and it's not long before we pull up to Nina and Al's drive. Nina runs over to the car as we get out "Ellie!!!" She wraps me up tight.
"Hi, Nina! I....I can't breath" I wave to Al who's coming down the path.
"Hi Mum! Your son is right here!" Adam says sarcastically.
"Hi Adam, You and Dad get the bags while I'll make Ellie a tea" as we walk inside I look over my shoulder to Adam and stick my tongue out at him he smirks and shook his head.
~*~*~*~
They have booked a table at a pub 20 minutes drive away. We are less than a few minutes away "So, new car? Do you like it?" Al asks.
"Yeah, Adam brought it for me, my old one only had lap belts in the front and none in the back"
"I like the screen you can see behind you when you reserve! Al can we get one?"
He runs his hands down his face "We just got a new car Nina!"
She huffs "A year ago!"
I laugh, "Looks like we are here!" (Saved by the bell there, Al!)
Adam and I head to the bar for drinks  "Adam, how do you say can I have a 2 pints of Peroni and 2 orange juices please in Scots Gaelic?"
"So repeat after me A bheil thu nad fhìor Albannach fon fhèileadh sin?"
"A bheil thu nad fhìor Albannach fon fhèileadh sin?"
The barman comes over to us "A bheil thu nad fhìor Albannach fon fhèileadh sin?" he smiles then goes to lift his kilt.
"Whoa!!!! What are you doing?!" I screech.
Adam cracks and starts laughing "Adam, What did you make me say?"
"Ellie, you said are you a real scotsman under that kilt? Sorry she's sassenach" he apologies to the Barman.
I shove him, the barman laugh "Let me teach you a very English word! You are a twat!"
He pulls me towards him "I'm only messing beautiful! Can we get 2 pints of Peroni and 2 orange juices please" he asks.
"Do you forgive me!"
"No! And you can bring the drinks over by yourself!" I huff and head back to the table.
A couple of minutes later he comes over with a tray "And for my beautiful wife, I'm sorry!" He puts down 2 pint glasses full of ice on the table.
I break into a smile "Am I forgiven now?"
I roll my eyes at him "Fine, but you're still a twat!"
He lifts my chin and smirks before placing a soft kiss against my lips "But I'm your twat!"
"I'm going to get you back by the way!"
He chuckles "Bring it on, beautiful"
~*~*~*~
The next day I know exactly how to get my revenge. Adam wanders into the bedroom after a shower. I'm purposely standing in front of the mirror in some lacy underwear.
"Fuck!" I hear him mutter under his breath as his footsteps get closer. Soon he's behind me admiring my reflection, his chest is pressed against my back, I can feel his hard shaft against the curve of my arse.
"You look stunning! You amaze me! How you can make being pregnant look so sexy!" His hand comes round to cup my breast, as his lips begin to feather along my neck. His other hand trails over my bump and is just about to slip into my underwear.
I pull away and move to where our suitcases are "I better get dressed. I need to meet your mum downstairs in 5 minutes"
"What? I thought.."
I smirk "You also thought I was a good idea to prank me yesterday. Well, Adam revenge is a dish best served..." I look down at him hard member "Hard!" I wink as I'm getting dressed "And you have the whole day to think about me wearing this under my clothes. While your mum and I are heading out to get our nails done. Bye"
I make my way to to the door "Oh and Adam! You might want to do something about that! Maybe a cold shower!" I wink as I leave him in our room.

The best restaurants in Santorini, Greece
Tumblr media
This, of course, isn't a definite list. We didn't even try a fraction of what the culinary world of Santorini has to offer and I am sure there are plenty of equally fantastic or better places. But by these 5 restaurants stood out for us and came recommended by other travelers and locals.
Hope you're not hungry!
---
1. Μεταξύ Μας / Metaxi Mas 9FQ5+H2 Exo Gonia, Greece www.santorini-metaximas.gr
Tumblr media
Metaxi Mas is a must whether you take a taxi, rent a four-wheeler, or simply walk from the charming village of Pyrgos. (We were advised very strongly against doing the latter by a very nice lady at a souvenir store: "It's not possible to walk, it's in the next village! But it is a wonderful restaurant, you must make it there regardless," she said. We did it anyway and it took about half an hour of walking downhill.) And just like pretty much everyone we spoke to about Metaxi Mas promised, it is absolutely amazing. You won't find your regular horiatiki and moussaka here, but by the time you make it here, you've most likely had enough of those and will be excited to take a quick break. You'll also have a change of view, because the cozy terrace is overlooking the airport and the less photographed side of the island, which may be slightly less iconic but gorgeous nonetheless. We started with Smoked Fish in a Chickpea Stew and the moment we tasted the dish, we knew that it would be the best meal on the island. We continued with Shrimp saganaki finished with ouzo, tomato sauce, fennel and feta cheese, which I will remember for a long time. And then, for a finale, a Spicy fried pork with Assyrtiko Santorini wine (which we were about to learn all about at a nearby winery, Santo Wines) with peppers, onion, garlic, Santorini cherry tomatoes, feta cheese and boukovo—red pepper flakes. Were we full? Of course. Did we want more? Absolutely! It was our last day on Santorini, so we knew we wouldn't have time to return to Metaxi Mas, so we asked our lovely waitress if she could suggest just one more, small dish, simply because everything was so delicious that we'd love another bite. She said that her favorite thing on the menu was Oven-baked asparagus with Cretan graviera cheese and estragon, and we thought that a little asparagus appetizer would be a perfect finishing touch to this feast. Little did we know that the "small dish" is in fact a huge plate filled with lots and lots of hot, melty, delicious cheese (with a little bit of asparagus buried deep under). It was way more than we wanted but way too delicious to leave behind and a taxi to take us to the wine tour at Santo Wines was already waiting. We might have burnt our mouths a little but we finished the asparagus and our wonderful waitress brought us a dessert packed to go because she knew we had to go. If you're in Santorini right now and looking for some delicious food, I couldn't be more jealous of you!

2. To Psaraki Vlichada Marina, Vlichada 847 00, Greece www.topsaraki.gr
Tumblr media
Near the southernmost tip of Santorini, at the end of Perivolos beach you'll find the charming Vlychada port. Arguably the best place to view it from (and definitely the most delicious one) is To Psaraki taverna. You'll have to drive or take a taxi there but the place is worth the trip. The actual restaurant is very nice but you really want to sit at the bright blue terrace across the street, which overlooks the port and the sea. Eating at To Psaraki feels like finding a hidden gem andt also like being on a Greek postcard at the same time.   The food is delicious and it starts from the very beginning—each table receives a bread basket and a portion of Santorini tomato paste with olive oil and oregano. (There is a tomato paste museum down the road, but it was still closed due to Covid when we visited.) We continued the feast with Fresh Greek mussels steamed with wine and spring onions (it's hard to imagine a more perfect dish to go with the view of sea and a distant smell of a seaport) after which a gorgeous Grilled Octopus arrived. Can't say that we were hungry anymore, but our main dish — fresh and homely amberjack was only about to be served. Accompanied by vegetables, tomatoes and a lemon, it was wonderful.
The restaurant overlooks the port and a short walkaway is Vlychada Beach with black sand, a beach bar and some amazing view of the cliffs, which makes it easy to spend a whole day in this small area.

3.  Kokkalo 25is Martiou 25, Thira 847 00, Greece kokkalosantorini.com
Tumblr media
We arrived in Santorini midday and after the initial shock caused by the overwhelming beauty of the view from the plane, then the taxi and finally from our suite, we were ready to eat. We picked Kokkalo purely because it was the closest recommended restaurant from our suite. It did take some climbing (everything in Santorini involves countless stairs and hills) and then a short walk along a busy, narrow street, but the place was 100% worth it.
We were greeted by a very friendly and quirky lady with a very particular sense of humor and a tray with 2 glasses of strong, local liquor. Day drinking it is! After hearing that we just arrived on the island, she was quick to recommend a local specialty—Santorini tomato fritters. "If you're going to have them, you need to have them here," she said, "we have cooking classes and we teach how to make them here." Tomato fritters are very tasty, but to be completely honest, it is one of those dishes that you try once and don't necessarily need to order again anytime soon.
We also got the Santorini Greek Salad and Chicken Souvlaki, which were both absolutely delicious and anyone could eat them every day for a long time. The presentation of the chicken deserves a special shoutout—it is definitely an attention-grabber when it arrives at the table.
Kokkalo is totally a great spot—it may not overlook the volcano, but staring into the flat side of Santorini with Anafi island in the distance is a pure pleasure! Mix that with great food, chilled wine and lovely service and you have a fantastic experience!
---
4. Roka Mpotsari 6, Oía 847 02, Greece www.roka.gr
Tumblr media
I'm not gonna lie, Roka was a bit of an accident (a great one though!) We hiked from Fira to Oia and we completely underestimated the time it would take us to complete the hike considering all the stops for wine, snacks, photos and views. They say that the hike takes from 3 to 6 hours and it did take us 6 hours (we're fast hikers but we stopped A LOT along the way to enjoy the views and wine) so when we finally got to Oia, we needed to eat before the sunset and most places were either booked or still closed because of Covid. We basically ran to check out Roka and it is semi-hidden in a maze of small, charming alleyways so we got a little lost trying to find it. We were greeted by a man who looked like he could be in a movie about a mafia-ran restaurant: white shirt and a tie, a sceptical gaze, a cigarette hanging from the corner of his mouth, and a brutal silence. He turned out to be our waiter and luckily he turned out to be very friendly, much contrary to our first impression of him.
We were seated at the small back patio lit by the setting sun and overlooking the sea and some less touristy parts of town and the island. The food was absolutely delicious yet presented in a slightly pretentious but cheesy way. It is not taverna food and obviously the chef is aspiring to a higher level of a dining experience. To start we were served rusk with olives and delicious tomato paste, which we learned was typical of Santorini, famous for its cherry tomatoes. Then we continued with ‘Imam Bayaldi’ with eggplant, shrimps, ’Oyzo’ glaze and chilli garlic mayo and Mushrooms Ragout on a sourdough bruschetta with caramelized onions, cream and gruyere sauce. Those two appetizers were quite Huge And Totally Satisfied Our Post-Hike Hunger, But We Had Two More Dishes Coming - Main Courses This Time.
Skioufikta - Traditional Greek Handmade Pasta with Caramelized Onion, Eggplant, Zucchini, Tomato and ’Xinoturi’ From Ios, which was light, delicate and delicious. The shape of pasta is a bit like cavatelli and is a perfect vessel for the summer flavors of this dish. Fresh Dorado Fillet came with fantastic Parsnip Puree, Braised Leek that melts in your mouth with Hazelnuts and was topped with long, thin crisps that gave it an additional texture. Satisfied and excited, we ran to the nearby Castle of Agios Nikolaos for a spectacular and unforgettable sunset.
---
5. Naoussa Fira Santorini Next to the Central Orthodox Cathedral of Fira Town Mitropoleos Fira Town, Thira 847 00, Greece naoussasantorini.restaurant
Tumblr media
When we arrived at this gigantic taverna, it was empty, with the only two guests eating at a table near the windows. We decided to sit at the other table with a view—right next to the couple finishing their dinner. It turned out to be a quite an unfortunate choice because those guests were an extreme example of a married couple who goes out to talk to other people in bars and restaurants. We spent the entire dinner listening about the wealth, success and amazing life of our co-diners, all the houses, apartments, businesses and countless trips all over the world were described in detail whether we wanted it or not. We also learned the history of their relationship including tidbits like: "Would you believe that after not seeing me for 2 weeks my husband chose to take me out to eat sushi instead of taking me to the bedroom straight from the airport?"
But back to the restaurant, the food was delicious and the sunset view (when we managed to look away from our interlocutors) quite terrific. We started with Dolmades, which are vine leaves stuffed with lemony rice and happen to be one of my favorite small dishes. The leaves are the best when they're delicate and not veiny, the rice needs to be moist and the entire thing is best served room temperature or slightly warm. So good! We also had a tuna salad with hard boiled eggs, which looked a bit like mess but was packed with unexpected flavor. We finished with a whole fish, which was absolutely perfect.
We did drink a lot of wine and we took our time eating, listening to the forced stories and admiring the sunset. At some point the initially empty dining room filled up completely and then it emptied again. It felt like we experienced the whole circle of sunset dining crowd.

Amani watched from the doorway as her baby sister packed up her suitcase. "You know you don't have to watch me pack. I'm a big girl." Amare Okeke looked up smiling. Amani walked over to help her zip the suitcase. "You're barely old enough to fly alone baby girl."
"Amani I'm 17."
"I know. I know. My baby girl is all grown up." Amani pulled Amare into a tight hug. "Maybe I should just keep you here this semester."
"Amani....."
I know, I know. Massachusetts Institute of Technology is paying your tuition, so I guess I gotta put you on that plane."
Amare chuckled. "I think they'd miss me too much if you didn't."
Amani scooped the younger girl into a hug. "Just be safe kid. Don't talk to strangers and no joining the mile high club."
Amare groaned and shuddered. "Okay, it's definitely time for you to go, don't wanna be late for work."
Amani laughed, "Be safe okay. Come back to me in one piece."
"I promise, scouts honor," Amare raised three fingers as she pushed her older sister out of the door. "Just one more hug," Amani begged. Amare shook her head, and shoved the car keys in her sister's hand. "Out," she pointed to the 23-year-old. Amani ran in for one last hug before hopping in her car. She waved three times more before pulling out of the drive and into the city traffic. Her Lexus weaved in and out of traffic as she headed to her day job. The Lotus was more of a pass time than an actual job. It paid a decent amount, and she got to work with her friends.
Twenty minutes later Amani pulled into The Lotus's back parking lot. She gathered all of her things and headed in to help work the closing shift. She scanned her key card and pushed open the heavy security door. The kitchen staff seemed to be winding down from the dinner rush. It was only seven and most of the tables had been served and were waiting to pay. Amani dropped her things in the break room before heading out to help the other waitresses.
" Well look what the cat dragged in." A petite woman teased from behind the bar. "Hello to you too Sakura."
"Hey, Mani! Can you cover this last table for me while I set up for tomorrow?" Madiyson asked as she nodded at a man and a little girl who walked into the restaurant.
"I just got here! What about 'Kura? She's here too."
Sakura glared at Amani from behind her magazine. "It would really mean the world to me if you could do it, Amani..." Madiyson puppy dog eyed her.
"Fine," Amani sighed, fixing her thick curls. They both stared at her arranging her twist out.
"What he is cute!" The black woman blushed grabbing a kid's menu and a menu."He has a daughter." Kura pointed out. Amani walked over to the sink to wash her hands, grabbed the nearest dish towel, and leaned again the counter to check her teeth in the mirror.
"But I don't see a ring," Madiyson pointed out as she grabbed a fresh washcloth. She winked before she hurried away to wipe down tables. Sakura laughed and turned back to her magazine.
Amani hastily checked her reflection once more before walking out onto the main floor. The little girl waved as the woman approached the podium."Hi! Welcome to The Lotus. Just you two tonight?" The man nodded. "If you'll follow me then." The small group walked to a booth. Amani fished into her small apron and took out a notepad. Can I get you anything to drink?"
"I'll have water," he smiled at the young woman. His voice and that smile practically melted Amani right then and there. The young woman pulled herself together to write down his order.
"Ada did you want anything?" he asked the little girl across the table from him.
"Do you have strawberry lemonade?" She asked in a sweet voice.
"No, but I may have something just as good. If you don't like it I'll bring you something else. How does that sound?"
The little girl grinned and nodded her head.
"I'll let you look over the menu while I get your drinks."
As the waitress walked off she heard the little girl whisper to her father. "Baba she's pretty!" Amani blushed and rushed over to the bar, desperate to hide the growing flush of her face. As she mixed the little girl's drink at the bar Madiyson and Sakura began drying cups beside her.
"So who's the beautiful stranger?" Sakura was the first one to speak nudging Amani on the side. "That's what we're calling him?" Madiyson rolled her eyes. Amani laughed as she felt Madiyson nudge her other shoulder. "He's watching you," she whispered. The sister looked up quickly at the man and his daughter before grabbing napkins and straws.
"His voice, god it's sexy. He has an accent though. It sounds dark and a little  controlling, but warm at the same time." Amani hastily revealed as she worked to keep her hands busy. Madiyson grinned "Oooh! You like him!"
Sakura face-palmed as guests looked up at the commotion."Keep your voice down," Amani hissed as she grabbed the drinks. "I just think he's cute. Besides he may not even be single. There's no way I'm that lucky," She blushed as she walked towards the bar exit. "You won't be getting lucky either if Madiyson keeps yelling stuff like that out loud," Sakura grinned as Madiyson slapped her on her shoulder.
Amani shook her head and walked out to the table. She set the drinks down in front of the little girl and her father. The young waitress gestured toward the drink as the little girl took a sip. Her face lit up and she smiled before drinking some more. "I'm guessing you like it," she smiled at the little girl before noticing the father smile at her. Amani's face churned up the color of a bouquet of roses. "Anybody ready to order?" Amani asked taking out her notepad.
"Yes, I'll have the filet mignon with green beans and mashed potatoes." He closed his menu and smiled at her."Rare, Medium Rare, or well done?" The young woman looked up expectantly, instantly regretting meeting his eyes. Her knees went weak."Well done please." He folded his arms on the table.
Amani smiled before looking at the little girl, "what is a Mac and cheese?" Ada asked politely."You've never had Mac and cheese?" The young woman exclaimed feigning shock. "Oh my goodness, it's this really creamy bowl of amazingness. You wanna know what I eat mine with?" The little girl giggled nodding. Amani leaned down and whispered in her ear. "I eat mine with Chicken tenders."
The little girl nodded."Good choice, I'll have mine with chicken tenders too then." The brown woman smiled at the girl before writing it down."Fabulous choice princess," Amani smiled as the little girl giggled before her mouth dropped open. "How'd you know I was a Princess?" The man shook his head at the little girl. She went quiet.
"Oh, I'm sorry if I got her in trouble." Amani apologized.
"No, no she's not in trouble. I am T'Challa and this is my princess Ada." At the mention of her name the little girl grinned. "It's nice to meet you both, Amani." She smiled at them both. "I'll have your food out shortly."
The young waitress walked back to the kitchen, handed her ticket in for her table and wrote for herself for a to-go meal."Find anything else out?" Sakura asked as she walked in handing over a ticket. "His name is T'Challa. And he's got money." The woman looked up. "How'd you find out he had money?"
"He ordered Filet Mignon. How many people in this area order filet mignon?" Amani said as she grabbed the plates from the window. "Besides us, and that's only when Mrs. Ella needs to get rid of it."
"Businessmen mostly, we just never give you the big ballers," Madiyson smirks as she drops off her ticket."Are you serious?" Sakura nodded. Amani rolled her eyes, "I'm feeling the love," she sassed as she headed back into the dining room.
"Aww don't be mad Mani!" Madiyson called as Sakura cackled. The young woman huffed as she carried the food out to her table.
"Baba, I want to go somewhere fun tomorrow!" The little girl insisted as her father laughed. "You did not enjoy the Museum?" His eyes twinkled as she huffed. Amani chuckled silently as she set the plate down in front of Ada. "Maybe your Mac and cheese will make you feel better," Amani suggested as she handed T'Challa his steak. "If you don't mind me asking, what Museum did you go to?" He smiled, clearly glad someone was interested.
"We went to the High Museum of Art," Amani had to stifle her laughter at his reply.
"Princess Ada, how old are you?" Amani asked as the laughter threatened to pour out of her. "Four," The little girl proudly displayed four fingers.
She could hold back no longer. A full-bellied laugh rolled out of her.
"What?" T'Challa protested as Ada began to giggle too. He sighed as he waited for the two females to stop laughing. "I'm sorry, but you took a four-year-old to the High?" She smiled as she tucked the serving tray under her right arm."There was an exhibit of children's illustrators." He defended himself."But baba," The little girl interjected, "we don't live here I've never read any of those books."
Amani smiled. "Maybe you should try the aquarium, it's one of the best in the country.  There's also this really big Ferris wheel Princess," the little girl's face lit up as she chewed up her chicken tender."Chew with your mouth closed Ada," her father gently reminded smiling at his daughter.
"I'll let you guys eat and be back soon."
The young woman couldn't keep the goofy smile off of her face as she helped refill salt and pepper shakers as Madiyson refilled condiments. "So is he feeling it? Is there a wedding I should start planning."
"No Madiyson you won't be planning  anything." Amani grinned as she put the salt back in the closet. "And I don't know, you don't usually go up to a stranger and say 'Hi, I'm single. Are you single?"
"Well don't ask him like that," Madiyson scoffed as she replaced the top on a ketchup bottle. "I see why you're still single," she laughed. Amani whirled around and threw some salt from the counter at her. "Haha, very funny."  Amani looked out the window to see T'Challa raise his hand.
"I'll be right back," the waitress walked over to the table. "We need a check?" T'Challa nodded as Ada finished the last of her Mac and Cheese. "That Mac and cheese treat you right?" Amina smiled as Ada grinned. "Yes ma'am," she replied.
"Baba, can we get ice cream?" Ada begged as Amani gathered the dirty plates. "Not tonight Ada, maybe tomorrow, entle."
"Oh if you go to the aquarium there's a really good ice cream shop downtown." Amani smiled."Then it's settled we'll get ice cream tomorrow Baba," The young princess declared. T'Challa smiled at his daughter. "Your wish is my command princess."
"Cash or credit?" Amani asked as she stood with the dirty plates. "Cash," T'Challa called. His eyes caused the waitress's heart to flutter. She offered an award-winning smile and nodded. "I'll be right back." Amani walked back into the kitchen dumping the dishes into the sink."Girl don't break no dishes," an older woman yelled from the back. "Sorry Mrs. Ella!" Amani grimaced as she began printing a check.
"Find out anything else?" Sakura asked as she began loading the dishwasher. "He's a total pushover for his daughter." Amina smiled placing the check in a black holder.
When she walked out to the table it was completely empty. Save for a note and some bills underneath his glass.
Sorry I could not say goodbye. Here is some money for the check. Ada says goodbye as well and thank you for the Mac and cheese and being so pretty. I would be delighted if you would consider accompanying us tomorrow around the city.
T'Challa
His number scrawled at the bottom of the note sent fireworks straight to her eyes. Amani lifted the glass to find two hundred dollar bills. She smiled fondly before tucking the note in her back pocket. She quickly finished the tab and grabbed her order from the window.  She helped the rest of the staff to mop, sweep, stack chairs, clean dishes, put away dishes. As soon as the restaurant was locked up she waved goodbye to Mrs.Ella in the back and proceeded to hop and skip back to her car and speed home. Amani pulled up to her condo in the city her parents had given her before they passed. The young woman pulled off her shoes and walked up to the front steps. She placed her hand on the doorbell and let it scan her finger before opening the door. The off duty waitress placed her food in the microwave and blasted a Kendrick album before plopping onto the couch. She glanced at the clock before pulling out her phone. She quickly typed in T'Challa's number and typed a message.
Amani: Is this T'Challa? It's Amani, from The Lotus.
T'Challa: yes this is T'Challa. I'm so glad you texted me. I'm sorry to bother you but Ada would not stop talking about you. She would really like it if you could join us tomorrow.
Amani: just Ada?
T'Challa: We would both enjoy your company tomorrow.
Amani: Then I'd be delighted. What time?
T'Challa: 9:30 a.m. we do not wish to hold the masses back for long periods of time. We will pick you up.
The woman typed a quick goodnight. She made a point to text her little sister before grabbing her food and settling down with the music. The ping of her phone startled her. Licking her fingers she checked the clock and headed into the kitchen to grab her phone.
Amare: don't forget you promised to attend that after-party tonight. With mom and dad's work partners.
"Frick," Amani yelped hopping off of the couch. She was beyond late. She grabbed her phone and ran into her bedroom. A gown was hanging over her closet door. She grinned, knowing that Amare had left it there before she left. She took a quick shower, tried to refresh her hair, threw on some light makeup, and pulled on the dress. Texting a quick thank you to her sister, she searched for the invite email once again and decided her car would be faster than an Uber. Luckily the venue was downtown. Amani drove as fast as the floor-length gown and heels would let her. She skidded into the valet drive-in, tossed the young man her keys, took a deep breath, and glided her way into the lobby.
Once in the elevator she touched up her makeup, fluffed the braided twist out bun, and sighed. The doors dinged open and she glided into the ballroom. Immediately she was surrounded by her parent's former employees. She smiled, shook hands, took some press pictures, made a couple of statements to reporters, before taking refuge in the corner. The part-time waitress grabbed a flute of champagne to sip as she perused. One of her dad's partners smiled and moved in her direction. Mentally preparing for the longest conversation of her life, Amani took a long gulp of champagne. "Long time no see!" Harold Armon smiled. "Hello Mr. Armon," Amani rolled her shoulders back and plastered on a smile.
"How are you, dear girl? How is your little sister? Amira?" He reached out to touch her shoulder.
"Amare," the older sister corrected. "Right, right!" Harold beamed, squeezing the young woman's shoulder. Amani shrugged his hand off. "She's fine. She left this morning to finish off her second semester at MIT."
"That's brilliant, she always was bright like your father. Is she thinking about running the company when she comes of age?" he pried. Amani frowned, "No. Our parents always wanted us to choose our own route in life. She decided that she didn't want to run the business."
"That is too bad. I could have been a great help. You all could have relied on me to take over the business. Then you wouldn't have to worry your pretty little head about all the men's work-" Amani zoned out as the man tried to persuade her to appoint him to a top position. She already knew his game. These conversations were why she hated coming to the parties.
When her parents had died unexpectedly, Amani and Amare had been thrown into the world of office politics. As soon as the plane crashed in that Pennsylvania field, her phone was flooded with calls. Her father's lawyers advised her not to talk to anyone until she and Amare were together. They brought, the then 15-year-old, Amare out of school and down to Atlanta. Within a matter of hours, Amani had to decide who would take over the company in her parent's absence. She promoted her father's CFO, and her mother's assistant. She made sure that she put money away for her and Amare to live on. Then she handed the company over, operationally at least. She and Amare were still obligated to show their faces, and be present at board meetings. They weren't required to vote, but when they did, their word was law. Hence the groveling, and somewhat misogynistic, man standing in front of her.
She nodded along, taking to chance to glance at her side, where she saw T'Challa. His suit immaculately pressed and tailored. A ring flashed on his left hand and Amani felt her heart drop slightly. She blushed when he looked up and noticed her staring, she waved before tuning back into Harold.
"Brookman's first-quarter report does not look like it will be that promising. I think that if I were in that position I would avoid this merger with Wakanda and their king-" The man faltered, and tripped over his words. His eyes going wide at something behind her. Turning to look Amani saw T'Challa walking towards them. She returned his smile when he moved to greet her. "Amani."
"T'Challa-"
"Your highness." Harold quickly dropped into a stiff bow. "There's no need for that. Mr.-" T'Challa laughed.
"Armon" Harold stuck out a hand.
"Nice to meet you, Mr. Armon," T'Challa placed his hands behind his back, forcing his posture upright. Harold brought his own hand back into his side. "Do you mind if I borrow your conversation partner?"
"Oh well, we were-"
"I will make sure you get to see her before the night is over," T'Challa gripped Amani's hand and pulled her away. She gave Mr.Bowdman a quick goodbye before falling into step with T'Challa. "Thank you," Amani laughed while strolling with the man.
"I can always sense a damsel in distress."
"Oh really?"
"Yes. It's my superpower," the businessman whispered. Amani chuckled as she wrapped her arm through his. "Though I am surprised to see my waitress here. At the Okeke Tech Industries donor party."
"Are you suggesting that I cannot contribute based on my meager salary?"
T'Challa raised his hands in defeat, "I am merely suggesting that there is something you are not telling me, Amani." The undiscovered royal laughed.
"I believe that Ms.Okeke would be more formal T'Challa."
"Ah, you are the mysterious, and rumored to be beautiful, Okeke heiress.
"I wonder which of those intrigues you more. Beautiful or mysterious?" she teased.
"I quite prefer mysteries. Your beauty is just a bonus." The two smiled at each other. "It is nice to formally meet you, Ms. Okeke."
"What are you doing here?" Amani asked, grabbing a flute of champagne from the passing waiter. "I am here to check on my future assets. Make sure everything runs right."
"You're the one buying my parent's company?"
T'Challa winked, grabbing the flute of champagne from Amani and taking a sip. The woman blushed as he handed it back. "I was never told who the buyer was," Amani added, taking another sip from the same place on the glass. "His Majesty King T'Challa Udaku, at your service Ms. Okeke," the king bowed to kiss her hand. Amani choked a little, as the news slammed into her. "King?"
"Yes, please do try to keep up Ms.Okeke," The king chuckled while he grabbed a flute of champagne for himself. He extended his arm once more for the heiress and they continued to stroll about the room, eventually ending up on the balcony. They sat next to each other on a stone bench, each admiring the night sky. "You look beautiful tonight," T'Challa turned, staring at Amani's profile. "I've always been told starlight is my best light," Amani teased, blushing once her eyes met T'Challa's. She grabbed the king's cup and took a long drink.
The sounds of the party wrapping up brought both of them out of their isolated dream world. "May I walk you to your car?" T'Challa extended a hand to help Amani up and off of the bench. "If you would like," Amani smiled. The two walked side-by-side, bypassing anyone who wanted their attention. "Are we still on for tomorrow?" Amani broke the silence.
"Of course. I await our reunion with earnest."
"I guess I should text you my address then."
"I guess you should."
Amani pulled out her phone and quickly sent a text with her information. Placing her phone back in her purse, she looked up at the king. The valet pulled up with her car and she let her smile falter. "I guess I'll see you in the morning."
"I'll see you in the morning, Ms. Okeke." T'Challa smiled, placing a kiss on the back of her hand. She got into the car and sighed as it pulled away from the curb.
