q!Phil sees Tallulah’s new look, sees the black hair and the purple outfit. “You remind me of someone,” he says. There’s a faraway look in his eyes, memories from long ago but never forgotten. A beautiful woman in a purple dress and purple hat, and long beautiful black hair.

It’s a particularly bad day, Tallulah had too many close calls, and the voices were getting far too loud.

The first time she sees her is in the void. It’s quiet, deathly quiet, for the first time in days Tallulah experiences silence. A woman approaches, she’s tall, hidden behind her purple hat and a black veil. Here in the cold expanse of the void she can’t help but feel warm, comforted. Tallulah wants to cry, she wants to fall to the floor and let all the pain and suffering she’s been feeling flood the void.

The woman kneels to the floor and takes off her hat. She’s beautiful, just like her papa said. She has the brightest smile, the kindest eyes. Her hair is long and black and a purple dress that imitates the starry night sky. She’s everything, she’s the universe and more.

“I like your hair,” she says. Tallulah’s cheeks heat up at the compliment, and the purple hat and black veil the woman was wearing get placed on her head. “There, I think it looks good on you.” The hat is too big on her, it falls and covers her eyes, the goddess giggles and lifts it up, “it’ll fit one day.”

Tallulah’s hands find themselves on top of the hat, steadying it above her head. Two hands open the veil, they wipe the tear off her cheek.

“Hi gorgeous, do you wanna go on a walk?” She smiles.

Hand in hand they walked across the void. Laughing and talking as stars sparkled in their every step. The universe enveloped them both, the universe smiled and laughed.

And then I couldn't shake the idea of (handsome, darling of The Capitol) Finnick going gray at 24 from all the stess, bad diet, lack of light, etc that he went through at the beginning of Mockingjay

I say this in the best way, but your characters feel like they're from an obscure but really good piece of media, and you feel like the artist who always draws the two main characters as ghay lovers

#that's actually a really flattering thing to hear!#and I get what you mean #every now and then someone mistakes my art as fanart of some piece of media #that they don't recognize but like the art anyway #I wish I had the product to give to you #a graphic novel or a webtoon or a written narrative #I fear there's a hole the shape of the main story in my work #and even though I allude to it and talk about it in the safety of the tags #it's kind of frustrating that you have to piece it together from the scattered bits of lore #instead of reading ~the thing~ digesting it and knowing you have consumed the story in it's intended form #this got a little off track #I think it's so motivating and rewarding that you're interested in my characters to begin with #even in the absence of a proper finalized work of fiction that ties all the art together #answered #anonymous #imagine a reality where they aren't lovers in the canon work but I just ship them really hard #even better if they aren't even the protagonists but some inconsequential side characters #that get two minutes of screen time every other episode and barely ever in the same scene

#okay starting from the beginning of where ppl usually dislike him. apple woods chapter.#he doesn’t give hero/partner the CHANCE to explain themselves despite them being relatively good recruits up until that point.#and that legit might be my only gripe with that chapter bc!!! stories need conflict! I LIKE the conflict in apple woods!!!#hero and partner being punished so something they didn’t do!#the misunderstanding! how team skull (Skuntank) actually outplays the main duo with a clever yet rotten trick. I LOVE that it segways into-#one of the more sweeter scenes of guild members looking out for eachother. I LIKE APPLE WOODS CONFLICT.#but chatot just. not giving them a chance. is so dumb.#I’d personally fix this by having a lil montage of hero/partner fucking up on jobs. A LOT. and chatot giving them a pass every time.#and let the perfect apple incident BE the one where he puts his foot down and doesn’t listen to them. bc he’d given them loads of chances.#and doesn’t want to hear any excuse.#but yeah. I legit dont mind him during that chapter except for that really stupid and frustrating moment.#NOW. CHAPTER 17.#UGGGGHHH WHERE DO I BEGIN #Him not believing hero and Partner about Grovyle and the future being in ruin? FINE. ACTUALLY GOOD. Character A is possessed/bitten by something, and they can feel it taking over their mind and body, but slowly enough for them to grab B's shirt, pull them close and beg, "Please kill me before I hurt you."

B refuses, assuring them they will be okay, even though A knows they won't be able to fight it, they will lose control of their body, possibly forever.

"Please, B, please," A says, tears rolling down their face. "I'm too weak to fight it. Please kill me. Let me die as myself."

Like obviously the whole "they're just doing [x] for attention!" is completely asinine because humans are social creatures who need attention to some capacity, but also... in your narrative, does everybody do things specifically for your attention? When somebody does something drastic or shocking, is it not because they're desperate for help but just because they crave your attention specifically? Does the sun rise and set at your command as well?

#mental health #i get why people say that but it does come across like you're taking somebody's real struggles and almost whining about how...#...they're trying to steal your attention and cheat their way into your heart #and that the act of wanting attention would be a heinous act that you must insert yourself in to fix #like i see this behaviour as genuinely selfish most of the time - taking somebody's cries for help and making it about you essentially #i was listening to my dad tell a story about how somebody's *daughter* had made an attempt and everybody was talking about how...#...she had done it for attention. how fucking cruel. how fucking selfish...#...i couldn't imagine hearing people be that impertinent over my *daughter's* life #honestly that boils my blood as an *outsider* and i truly hope the family is healing #suicide tw #self harm tw #sh tw #(just for implication in the post)#ask to tag (genuine)#just hate the culture of '[they're] doing it for attention lulz' that is still popularized #which is part of the reason the tone is snappy/snarky. i think i've earned the right to be angry at how people interact with...#...this stuff and how it's doing nothing good for anybody

I think it’d be interesting to explore Marceline, PB, and Simon’s relationship post Ice King.

Ice King harassed PB relentlessly for a while, even if he calmed down after a while. PB has to hold resentment whenever it’s brought up, even subconsciously. PB also had hurt Ice King sometimes unprovoked or used his confused brain to cause harm (Wizard City, What have you done and The Cooler come to mind), often acknowledging she was being excessive.

Simon isn’t passive but he feels guilt and shame about being Ice King and it’d be interesting to have a scenario where PB jabs at something he did in that state in front of Marcy and see how she reacts cause Marcy acknowledges that Simon didn’t do those things and shouldn’t be blamed, but also understands the hurt Ice King caused can’t just be ignored.

The two most important people in her life were at violent odds at one point. The slate couldn’t have been wiped clean just cause he was uncursed.

#like Simon wanting to apologize but not even remembering everything he did #he has to hear some of the stories second hand and feel awful #and we know pb can be a bit rude or vindictive so like #it’s a real thing they’d have to work on cause imagine seeing the face of the person who harassed you and they just don’t even have those #memories and you feel upset cause you can’t even get a proper apology cause what are they sorry for at that point #marcy and simon #simon petrikov #marceline and bonnibel #princess bubblegum #bonnibel bubblegum #marceline the vampire queen #adventure time #fionna and cake

I doubt I'll live to see it, but I was just thinking of how interesting it would be to have an adaptation of LOTR with largely diegetic music. Not ironically, either! There's so much music in LOTR, and Middle-earth's world-building is so deeply interwoven with literal music—and it's not that I don't really enjoy a lot of the non-diegetic Middle-earth music that exists, but a version in which you really feel how deeply musical the world is for the characters would be so cool.

#remember that bit in the silm about some people hearing the echoes of the ainulindalë in the water?#imagine if we can literally hear the sea-longing as music #/and so can legolas/#and even in places/scenes where tolkien doesn't supply much musically #it'd be interesting to see what diegetic music people could come up with #like when the people of minas tirith burst into all the city's ways of singing (which we haven't really heard in the book)#but in adaptation we could hear the different genres and languages of song as pippin navigates the social hierarchies #and then hear them come together when victory is announced :')#obviously that kind of detail is better suited to a series than a film but lotr is better suited to something episodic anyway imo #but yes. i'd really like something that leaned into the in-story music without going full musical #don't think it'll ever happen but well. still fun to think about!#anghraine babbles #legendarium blogging #legendarium fanwank #my little piano: music is magic
